'Halo' Release Date, Cast, and Plot - Everything We Know

Halo is a new television series based on the iconic video game franchise of the same name.

Halo is an upcoming military science fiction television series created by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane and starring Pablo Schreiber and Jen Taylor. The show is based on the wildly popular first-person shooter video game franchise Halo, which is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time. Pablo Schreiber will be playing the protagonist of the Halo franchise, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117. While he was recovering from an injury, the Los Angeles Lakers fans made strong efforts to help All-Star power forward Anthony Davis make his ninth straight appearance in the NBA All-Star Game in the 2021-22 NBA season. Unfortunately, though he got the fifth-highest number of votes (2,735,850) in the Western Conference frontcourt, Davis was still unable to secure a spot in the NBA All-Star reserves after 30 league coaches decided to choose Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz, and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves over him.

Anthony Davis Talks About All-Star Snub

Though some fans are disappointed by his non-inclusion in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, Davis seems to expect the result of the voting. In a post-game interview, Davis said he knew he won't be an All-Star this season since he missed plenty of games due to injury.

“I kind of figure I wasn’t [making it] just because of the amount of games that I missed,” Davis said, as quoted by SB Nation's Silver ScreAen and Roll. “It’s the first time since my rookie year — actually, I went to All-Star my rookie year because that was my rookie team — so this is the first time in my career where I don’t have to go to All-Star. So I know my wife is ecstatic (laughs). I don’t have to spend time being an All-Star and can be somewhere else.

Anthony Davis' Long Absence

His long absence is undeniably a huge factor in Davis' non-inclusion in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game. Though he managed to regain 100 percent health before the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, Davis has been on the sideline since December 18. In the third quarter of their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Davis sustained an MCL injury that forced him to miss 21 games. Aside from his extended absence, another reason why Davis wasn't chosen was his underwhelming performance earlier this season. Before he suffered an injury, the 28-year-old big man was just shooting 18 percent from beyond the arc.

Anthony Davis Bounces Back

Davis may have failed to make his ninth straight appearance in the NBA All-Star Game, but he's currently establishing an All-Star caliber performance. Though he looked rusty when he returned from an MCL injury, Davis managed to bounce back and make his presence felt on both ends of the floor. In the month of February, Davis led the Lakers to victories against the Portland Trail Blazers and the New York Knicks.

In the last three games, Davis is averaging 29.3 points,16.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 1.7 steals while shooting 57.4 percent from the field.

Can Anthony Davis Be Chosen As Replacement?

Though the result of the combined votes of fans, media, and coaches didn't turn in his favor, there's still a chance for Davis to play in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game. One of the Western Conference reserves, Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green, is expected to miss the upcoming event as he's currently dealing with a calf injury. According to Brad Botkin of CBS Sports, Davis could serve as a potential replacement for Green in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

"The Lakers have been relatively terrible and Davis, again, has been pretty meh for most of the season, but he's a name and plays for the Lakers and his traditional numbers look great," Botkin wrote. "He could very well be the guy who ends up replacing Green, though to me, as stated above, Murray deserves that slot more."

Days before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, rumors surrounding All-Star shooting guard James Harden and his future with the Brooklyn Nets have started to heat up. The Nets may not be actively trading Harden but according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, they are open to discussing a deal involving "The Beard," especially if an interested team could make an offer that could "elevate the team" and "make the roster well-rounded." One of the most intriguing trade partners for the Nets in the deal involving Harden is the Golden State Warriors.

James Harden To Golden State Warriors

Having a plethora of interesting trade assets, the Warriors are one of the teams that are currently in a strong position to engage in a blockbuster trade. As of now, it remains unknown if the Warriors have any plan of joining the pursuit of Harden before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, but some people have started presenting an idea of what the potential trade would look like. In the proposed trade scenario by Grant Afseth of NBA Analysis Network, the Warriors would be sending a trade package that includes Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and a 2022 first-round pick to the Nets in exchange for Harden and Nicolas Claxton.

Is The Trade Worth Exploring For Warriors?

Though they would be getting the best player in the trade, this wouldn't be a no-brainer type of deal for the Warriors. Aside from the fact that "The Beard" is currently dealing with a hamstring injury, he could also become an unrestricted free agent in the 2022 NBA offseason. The assets that they need to give up to the Nets to get Harden isn't a joke to the Warriors as it includes two young and promising players who could be part of the next era of basketball in Golden State.

However, trading for Harden would make a lot of sense if the Warriors think that they need more star power around Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green to have a better chance of reaching the NBA Finals and winning the NBA championship title this season.

James Harden Boosts Warriors' Offense

Wiggins may be currently doing well in the 2021-22 NBA season, but swapping him for a healthy Harden would be a wise move for the win-now Warriors. The potential arrival of Harden in Golden State could help the Warriors improve their offensive efficiency that is currently No. 7 in the league, scoring 109.9 points per 100 possessions. Having Harden would ease the loads on Curry's shoulders in terms of scoring, ball handling, and playmaking.

This season, the 32-year-old shooting guard is averaging 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 10.2 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from beyond the arc. If Harden meshes well with Curry, Thompson, and Green, the Warriors would be almost unstoppable on the offensive end of the floor.

Nets Acquire An All-Star & Two Talented Prospects

The proposed trade deal with the Warriors would be worth exploring for the Nets, especially if they aren't confident that they could sign Harden to a new contract in the 2022 NBA free agency. By sending Harden to Golden State, the Nets would be receiving a young All-Star in Wiggins, two talented prospects in Wiseman and Kuminga, and a future first-round pick. Days before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, most people are waiting to see what type of moves New York Knicks president of basketball operations Leon Rose is planning to do to save them from suffering a huge embarrassment in the 2021-22 NBA season. The Knicks may be currently out of the playoff race, but they still have a chance of reaching the postseason, especially if they make the right upgrades on their roster. One of the areas that the Knicks are aiming to improve is the starting point guard position.

Jalen Brunson To New York Knicks

With the offseason signing of Kemba Walker turning into a massive failure, the Knicks are rumored to be active on the trade market, finding a long-term answer at the starting point guard position. In the past months, the Knicks have already been linked to several floor generals who are believed to be available on the trading block, including Jalen Brunson of the Dallas Mavericks.

In mid-January, Marc Berman of the New York Post discussed a rumor linking Brunson to the Mavericks. An NBA source who spoke to Berman revealed that the Knicks "want him bad" and have contacted the Mavericks in the past regarding a potential Brunson trade.

Proposed Three-Way Trade

In a recent article, Dalton Trigg of Sports Illustrated's Fan Nation talked about a hypothetical blockbuster trade idea that would enable the Knicks to acquire Brunson from the Mavericks before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. The suggested deal won't only involve the Knicks and the Mavericks, but also the Sacramento Kings.

In the proposed three-team trade scenario, the Knicks would get Brunson, the Mavericks would receive Buddy Hield and Richaun Holmes, and the Kings would acquire Tim Hardaway Jr., Mitchell Robinson, Maxi Kleber, and a 2023 first-round pick.

Knicks Get A New PG

Trading Robinson and a future first-round pick would be a tough decision for the Knicks, but it would be worth exploring, especially if they think that Brunson is the answer to their major backcourt issue. Brunson would give the Knicks a starting-caliber point guard who fits the timeline of RJ Barrett and Julius Randle. He may not be an All-Star, but he's a very reliable scorer, playmaker, and three-pointer. This season, Brunson is averaging 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists while shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from beyond the arc.

Does The Trade Make Sense For Mavericks & Kings?

Trigg believes that the proposed three-way trade is the type of deal where "everybody wins." For the Kings, the hypothetical blockbuster would allow them to trade Hield for assets that could help them speed up their rebuilding plans. At 23, Robinson perfectly fits the timeline of the Kings' young core of De'Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Davion Mitchell, and Marvin Bagley III.

For the Mavericks, the potential deal would enable them to turn Brunson into two starting-caliber players in Hield and Holmes.

"Hield and Holmes are good players, and adding both of them would certainly enhance the Mavs' roster, but neither are stars," Trigg wrote. "On the flip side of that, though, as important as Brunson has been to the Mavs this season, he isn't a star either. Adding both Hield and Holmes could make up for losing Brunson and ten some, especially if they add secondary playing through a separate second move." ]]>

Understandably, fans expressed concern over the quality compromise and change in formula. It's not easy to embrace change, especially when you feel there's nothing wrong with the current design. The Creative and Image Director of Dior Beauty Peter Philips allayed all fear as he announced the upgrade saying,

2022 NBA All-Star Snubs

The NBA holds the NBA All-Star Weekend every February. Just like the previous All-Star games, the upcoming game in Cleveland will feature 24 standout players, 12 each coming from the Western and Eastern Conference. Surely, nearly 450 players in the NBA will fight for those spots by showing flashes of brilliance in their scoring, rebounding, passing, and defensive capabilities. With just a limited number of spots, these players top the list of basketball athletes who were not considered as All-Stars.

LaMelo Ball

Perhaps one of the biggest snubs in the All-Star game is the wonder kid leading the "East Coast Showtime" in LaMelo Ball. In 46 games played as the starting point guard in Charlotte, Ball averages 19.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. His decent shooting percentages of 46.4/36.1/87.5, alongside the fact that he ranks in the top 10 of assist leaders and top 15 of steals generators, come as a surprise that he is not considered for the top 12 players in the East. With that said, the league is sure to miss the up-tempo playstyle ad brilliant passing and playmaking of the 2021 Kia Rookie of the Year in the All-Star game.

Dejounte Murray

Another note-worthy snub in the Western Conference is San Antonio's walking triple-double leader, Dejounte Murray. At 6'4", the 25-year-old point guard from the University of Washington has been the most consistent player in Gregg Popovich's roster. He has a remarkable 5th year in the league, donning 19.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 9.2 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. With 10 triple-doubles this season, leading the league in steals, ranking as second among guards in the league in RPG, and placing fourth among assist leaders, it's a head-scratch as to why the leader of the Spurs was not considered as one of the 12 All-Stars in the Western Conference.

Jarrett Allen

Host city Cleveland got Darius Garland as its lone bid to the all-star game, but there is a real case to make to give the city two spots. Known as FroHio, Jarrett Allen has been crucial to Cleveland's surprising rise in the Eastern Conference ladder, where he puts up 16.2 points, 11 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.4 blocks on a nightly basis. He has helped the Cavaliers in ranking third in defensive rating, thanks to his blocks and rim protection.

Anthony Edwards

The No.1 pick of the 2020 NBA draft will miss the chance to share the court with fellow teammate Karl Anthony Towns in the All-Star Game. The 20-year-old guard/forward has been one of the most exciting young players in the NBA, where he puts up 22.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 36 assists for the rising Timberwolves.

Miles Bridges

Miles Bridges has been enjoying a break-out fourth-year season. For the resurging Charlotte Hornets, Bridges has been averaging career-highs in his arsenal, putting up 19.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.9 blocks, and 1 steal in 51 games played this season. He constantly shows up in NBA's Top 10 plays thanks to his remarkable dunking display from LaMelo Ball's sweet passes.

Anthony Davis

For the first time since the 2012-2013 season, Anthony Davis will miss out on the All-Star honors this year, thanks in large part due to his extended absence due to his knee injury and the Los Angeles Lakers' disappointing record. Despite this snub, Davis has been a tremendous two-way force this season, making 23.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while also earning 2.2 blocks and 1.2 steals in the 32 games he played this season.

Jrue Holiday

One of the biggest shocks of the All-Star reserve announcements for the Eastern Conference is naming Khris Middleton as the Bucks' second player and not Holiday. No discredit to K-Mid's good season, but Holiday has been making a legitimate case for the All-Star ballot this year. Holiday has been steadily making 18 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 1.5 steals, all while guarding the opposing team's best player. The two-way UCLA product has been in the top 15 of the assists and steals category this season with 49.5/39.2/75.5 shooting splits.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

SGA will be sidelined until the All-Star break due to a sprained ankle, but he has been putting up All-Star caliber numbers for the second straight year. The 23-year-old guard from Kentucky has been providing 22.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.1 steals for the budding Oklahoma City Thunder. Unfortunately, OKC is still on a tanking season and it seems too bad that one of the best young guards in the league has been denied the chance to show off at the All-Star Game.

January Jones is very laid-back with her fitness and diet regimens but there’s one particular self-care routine she’s not likely to skip.

The gorgeous Mad Men alum, who’s 44 years old with an enviably fit physique, is the first to admit she doesn’t take her workouts to extreme levels. Plus, she eats what she wants (how can anyone be so lucky?). But when it comes to keeping healthy, the actress swears by one thing that has had “amazing results” in how her body looks and functions. On Working Out

Talking to Shape, Jones said she follows an exercise routine now but admitted she wasn’t a big fan of working out when she was in her 20s and 30s. Her father, a trainer, was always pressuring her to exercise, which only made her do the opposite.

“[O]n a regular basis I wouldn’t work out, ever,” she said. “Even when I was filming X-Men and they had trainers for all of us, I would lie and say I was exercising in my hotel room, when actually I was watching Friends and having full tea service.”

The Health Drink She Takes Every Day

The Spinning Out star doesn’t follow a super-disciplined diet either. “I don’t deprive myself of anything. If I want something—steak, a bagel—I’ll eat it. There’s no diet or strict set of rules,” she said.

A few years ago, however, Jones found a concoction that has impacted her health in a positive way: celery juice. “I started drinking celery juice every day, and I’ve seen amazing results in my energy, digestion, and skin and how I sleep. I have that in the morning, then I take my vitamins and drink coffee.”

What She Eats

Aside from celery juice, what does the actress normally eat in a day?

She said she loves to cook for her son Xander Dane and herself. “For dinner, we like salmon with French fries, and we make pasta frequently,” Jones continued. “We try to have lots of green veggies. We eat organic because I worry a lot about that for my kid. No antibiotics or hormones in meats is really important to me, and so is eating sustainable fish. I don’t want to be that annoying person in the restaurant who’s like, ‘Where’s this fish from?’ But I do it anyway.”

As any person who’s scrolled through the star’s Instagram (which boasts 1.1 million followers) knows, Jones is also a big fan of skincare.

“I love rituals,” she said. “My skin-care regimen is my favorite thing to do. In the morning I exfoliate, then I apply a serum and a cream. The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the aspiring contenders that need to be active on the trade market. The Lakers may currently have the All-Star trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, but they are still struggling in the 2021-22 NBA season. So far, they have lost six of their last 10 games, sitting in the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference with a 26-28 record.

If they want to have a realistic chance of reclaiming their throne this season, the Lakers should strongly consider making major roster upgrades before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

Harrison Barnes To LA Lakers

In a recent article, Jordanna Clark of Fansided's Lake Show Life named three "NBA champions" that the Lakers could target on the trade market before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. These include veteran small forward Harrison Barnes of the Sacramento Kings. With the Kings heading into another huge disappointment, there are growing speculations that they would trade Barnes and other veterans for assets that they could use to speed up their rebuilding plans.

According to Clark, the Lakers could offer the Kings a trade package that includes Talen Horton-Tucker and a 2027 first-round pick.

Lakers Get A Three-And-D Wingman

Barnes would be an incredible addition to the Lakers. Aside from giving them a quality veteran player with championship experience, the potential arrival of Barnes in Los Angeles is also expected to significantly improve the Lakers' performance on both ends of the floor. He would give them a great scorer, rebounder, on-court facilitator, defender, and floor spaces.
