Sharing her story. Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly Stafford (née Hall) is gearing up to relive her most memorable experience as a football wife yet in Peacock's upcoming docuseries episode about the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl experience — but it nearly didn't happen.

"EARNIN' IT NFL documentary episode comes out this Sunday on @peacocktv," Kelly, 32, captioned a trailer for the special via Instagram on Friday, February 25. "Was hesitant to be mic'd up and followed for the Super Bowl. Tune in to find out if that was a good idea or not 😬 💙💛💙💛."

Earnin' It: The NFL's Forward Progress airs weekly episodes via Peacock, providing a deep dive into the women of the football league, including football wives, coaches, office managers and more. The Sunday, February 27, episode is set to follow Kelly as the spouse of a successful NFL star amid the championship game.

"We've been through a lot as a family in the past five years," the "Morning After" podcast host said in the trailer for the docuseries. "I felt like that hug [after the Rams won the NFC playoffs] was just releasing all of it. Again, all the expectations and he got there, and it was just kind of, 'You did it.'"

She added: "We are in our home city so I'm trying to make it where it's a normal week, which is tough because there's a lot going on."

The Rams — led by the 34-year-old former Detroit Lions athlete — played the Cincinnati Bengals during Super Bowl LVI on February 13. After a back-and-forth game, the Rams took the lead in the fourth quarter, winning 23-20.

Kelly, who married the quarterback in April 2015, has since been a proud supporter of her man's impressive victory.

"This is just so dope. I can't even fathom the internal feeling or personal and professional pride," the University of Georgia alum gushed via Instagram earlier this month. "He used to always talk about that. The personal and professional pride he took in the day to day."

After the Rams' victory, Kelly and Matthew — who share four daughters — were at the center of controversy after seemingly walking away from a photographer who fell off the team's Super Bowl float during the victory parade on February 16.

"We have been in communication with [photographer] Kelly Smiley since yesterday's incident and we are sorry for what happened," the couple and the Rams said in a joint statement one day later. "As we told Kelly, we will be covering all her hospital bills and replacing her cameras. We wish her a speedy recovery."

New episodes of Earnin’ It are available to stream Sundays on Peacock.

Celebrity Group Chats: Cast Text Chains With Other Stars

Posted: 26 Feb 2022 12:15 PM PST

Forget FaceTime and Zoom — the celebrity group chat is where it's at. Whether it's Taylor Swift's squad or the cast of the Avengers, these are the famous text chains every fan wishes they could be a part of.

Luckily, Hollywood's biggest stars often give fans a bit of insight at what it's like inside these never-ending conversations with their close pals and costars. Riverdale star Madelaine Petsch described her cast's group chat as "lit," while the Dawson's Creek WhatsApp is more exclusive than you might imagine — just ask Busy Philipps.

The Cougar Town alum exclusively told Us Weekly she was surprised to hear that her former costars — Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and James Van Der Beek — were constantly keeping in touch without her. "I was like, 'Oh, wow. OK, well, that's cool,'" Philipps said in 2018, before joking, "I have everyone's number individually. Should I just text them all together, like, 'Hey, guys. Want to include me in?'"

Not every famous person agrees that more text threads are a good thing. One reason Philipps wasn't that upset about being left off the Dawson's Creek phone tree is because she has "enough group texts that drive me insane."

The Freaks and Geeks alum told Us, "I truly cannot stand a group text. Because when people get going, and if you're in a meeting or you're doing something and then you get to your phone and you have like 40 missed texts, and you have to weed through."

Fans might be willing to overlook the large number of notifications if they can get in on the Dune, Bridgerton or the Big Little Lies cast's star-studded text chains. In 2019, Nicole Kidman revealed that the HBO show's message group was no boys allowed — and very light on emojis.

Some TV show casts even have multiple conversations going at the same time such as One Tree Hill, which has a chat just for the dads. As sweet as that may sound, Sophia Bush swears that the girl's online hangout is where you want to be — it includes every former female cast member from the show, including Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz.

Candace Cameron-Bure revealed to Us that there are two different threads for Full House and Fuller House — but only a handful of cast members have access to both. No surprise, she's one of the lucky ones.

Keep scrolling to learn about all the celebrity group chats you'll wish you could join:

Kardashian-Jenner Family
In 2018, Kendall Jenner revealed that her family didn’t have just one text thread, but multiple ones — which made her nervous. “I was on a group chat with Khloé [Kardashian] and Kourtney [Kardashian] the other day and we were talking about something — I don't even think we were talking bad about one of our other family members — but I had this realization,” the model said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, do you have a group chat about me?! Do you talk about me in other group chats?’ They were like, ‘Kendall, you literally don't do anything wrong. We don't talk about you.’”   Miller Mobley/E! Entertainment
Taylor Swift's Squad
The “Cardigan” singer’s besties, including Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Selena Gomez, stay in touch through WhatsApp, according to Hailee Steinfeld. “We try to [speak a lot],” the Hawkeye actress said in 2016. “It’s so crazy being all over the world at the same time and rarely being in the same place at the same time. But it’s so much fun to stay in contact and find each other along the way and all get caught up.”   Shutterstock (2)
Dawson’s Creek
Meredith Monroe, who played Andie McPhee on the WB series, doesn’t have to wait until the next reunion to catch up with her costars. “James, Josh, Katie, we’re all in a group text,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2018. “We reconnected [after the 20th anniversary] and now we have a group text going again, so that’s been nice.” However, this was news to Philipps, who told Us that she and Michelle Williams weren’t asked to join the ongoing conversation. “I don’t know why we’re not on it, but we’re not,” she said that same year. “Maybe they figure that we’re fine.” Frank Ockenfels/Warner Bros Tv/Kobal/Shutterstock
The Avengers
The MCU heroes like to stay connected via text — but Chris Hemsworth is often hard to reach. The Thor: Ragnarok star told BBC Radio 1 that he has two numbers: an Australian one and an American one. The problem is the group chat goes to his U.S. number and he spends most of his time Down Under. “So when I fly into America, I'm like, 'Cool, 40 days of messages to catch up with,’” he explained in 2019. While the Extraction actor is the slowest to respond, he noted that Robert Downey Jr. is “pretty active” in the chat and Jeremy Renner shares the most NSFW messages. "The guy's a sicko," Hemsworth joked. Marvel Enterprises/Kobal/Shutterstock
One Tree Hill
It’s girls vs. boys when it comes to the beloved CW show’s online correspondence — and Bush said that the women of the teen drama, which ran from 2003 to 2012, are winning the chat wars. “Our group texts are lit. If people could see them, I’m like, ‘Oh man, this would be something,’” the Chicago P.D. alum told Bustle in 2018. “We literally have a group text with every girl who’s ever been on the show and it’s off the chain.” Not to be outdone, the men of the teen series have their own “One Tree Hill dad chat,” which Tyler Hilton joined after having his first child with wife Megan Park in February 2020. “It was the cutest thing,” the singer gushed in an interview with Today that fall. “I was thinking, ‘Dude, if any of us thought we'd one day be on a Father's Day chat together, we would’ve been like: What?’ It was wild.” Dave Allocca/Starpix/Shutterstock
Bridgerton
Lady Whistledown might want to look over those receipts. Unfortunately, Regé-Jean Page will no longer be able to spill the tea with his former costars on WhatsApp. In September 2021, the former Duke of Hastings admitted he “respectfully exited” the chat after leaving the Netflix series. “I didn’t want to put them in an awkward situation where they had to kick me out,” the English actor told GQ at the time, adding that the show’s “universe has expanded” enough that his presence in the text group won’t be missed too much.   LIAM DANIEL/NETFLIX
Full House and Fuller House
Yes, both the original series and its Netflix revival have their own group chats — though Cameron Bure told Us that there is some crossover. “The Full House group chat is, like, it’s the OGs: John [Stamos], Bob [Saget], Dave [Coulier]. … The only one that’s on both is Scott Weinger — oh, and Jodie [Sweetin] and Andrea [Barber], of course,” she explained in April 2021. The Fuller House thread “includes, like, all the kids, even their parents and then Juan Pablo [Di Pace] and John Brotherton,” the actress best known as DJ Tanner continued. “It’s fun, but the OG stays in the OG!” Robert Trachtenberg/Netflix
Big Little Lies
Kidman told Vanity Fair in 2019 that the cast of the HBO series — which includes Reese Witherspoon, Zoë Kravitz and Shailene Woodley — had a group chat that was women only. “There are no men in our equation,” she said. “I mean, there are, but they’re not on the group chat, let’s put it that way.” When Meryl Streep joined the show in season 2, she got an invite to the thread, “and she’s very funny,” the Undoing alum revealed in the same interview. The Practical Magic star would later admit that she was “the only one who sends emojis,” while Witherspoon prefers to send gifs. HBO/Kobal/Shutterstock
Dune
Timothée Chalamet gave fans a taste of the sci-fi film’s group chat when he shared a screengrab via his Instagram Story in 2021 of his costar Oscar Isaac joking that they looked like a “REALLY sh---y boy band” in a recent photo shoot. Fellow Dune star Josh Brolin’s reaction? “We ARE a sh---y boy band.”   Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock
Riverdale
Not even a pandemic could hinder the online chemistry of the CW teen drama’s cast. “[Our] group chat is always lit up,” Petsch told Us in July 2020. “It’s never not lit.” Camila Mendes agreed with her costar. “Our group text is active,” she told Us in April 2021. “There’s a lot of TikToks being sent back and forth. We’re always texting each other when personal things happen. We very much lean on each other.”   Katie Yu/The CW
The Spider-Men
If your Spidey sense is tingling it might be because Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire have a WhatsApp group. The Impossible star told BBC Radio One in December 2021 that he and the former Spider-Man stars have a bond thanks to Peter Parker. “We share something that only us three could possibly imagine,” he said. “Maybe a few stunt doubles, [but] it’s different actually being the guy.” Holland admitted that he was the one who got the chat set up initially — and it might not be the most active of the Hollywood threads. “I think I’m the only one who’s ever spoken in it,” he joked. The New Scream Cast
David Arquette, who reprised his role as Dewey in the new Scream film, revealed to Us that a group chat exists between the newcomers. "The younger guys on the new film had the whole text chain text chain going, but I bow[ed] out at some point just because I just felt like the old guy," he shared in January 2022. The fifth installment in the slasher series added Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Dylan Minnette and Jack Quaid to the cast. Courtesy Paramount Pictures/YouTube
Boy Meets World
Ben Savage, who played Cory Matthews on Boy Meets World from 1993 to 2000 and reprised the role for Girl Meets World from 2014 to 2017, still keeps in touch with Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and more cast members from the series. "There's a group chat and, of course, you know, I'm always very happy for them. I'm always wishing them the best," Savage exclusively told Us in February 2022. "It's interesting when you start off as kids with people, cause it's like you're just kind of connected throughout your lives. So, you can go one year, six months, two years, five years — and it's like you're always kind of connected to these people that you grew up working with. So it is a very unique and special bond." OMG! Watch Bill Maher Use Kim K., Kanye Split to Explain Russian Invasion

Posted: 26 Feb 2022 11:57 AM PST

A simple way to look at it? While foreign affairs can be difficult for many individuals to comprehend, Bill Maher broke down the current Russian invasion using a Kim Kardashian and Kanye West metaphor.

Kim vs. Kanye: Breaking Down the Allegations in Their Messy Divorce

"[There's] a lot of heavy news, right? A lot of s—t we've got to talk about tonight and, you know, there's war in Europe and we didn't think this would happen. But [Vladimir] Putin, goddamn it, he did it. He invaded Ukraine," Maher, 66, said during his Real Time With Bill Maher monologue on Friday, February 25. "Look,  for those of you who only know me from the clips they show on TMZ, it's like Russia is Kanye and the Ukraine is Kim Kardashian and NATO is Pete Davidson."

Russian troops invaded their democratic neighbor — who previously were members of the Soviet Union — on Thursday, February 24, after learning of their intentions to join international peacekeeping organization NATO. To explain the analogy, the comedian drew poignant parallels to the 41-year-old Skims mogul's ongoing divorce.

"It just drives Russia crazy. Today, they demanded Billie Eilish‘s apology to Travis Scott," Maher joked, referencing the 44-year-old rapper's feud with the "Bad Guy" songstress earlier this year. (West previously alleged Eilish, 20, dissed Scott, 30, when she stopped a concert to check on a fan's health. She responded by noting that she “literally never said a thing about Travis.”)

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum filed for divorce from the Yeezy designer in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. Since then, West has continually objected to the proceedings, publicly expressing his desires for a reconciliation for himself and their four kids. (The twosome share North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.)

"SNL making my wife say 'I divorced him' on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off, and I never have seen the papers. We're not even divorced," the "Heartless" performer claimed during a November 2021 appearance on Revolt's "Drink Champs" podcast. "So how we — because [it's] no joke to me, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents — I want us to be together."

Kardashian has since moved on with the Saturday Night Live star, 28, whom she was first linked to in October 2021.

"Kim and Pete are very much excited about what the future holds for them as a couple," a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this week, noting the pair haven't had the "easiest" time amid West's public pleas and social media disses. "They're refusing to let it derail or distract them as a couple. The current circumstances make it awkward for them to shout their relationship from the rooftops … [but they are] overly public about how they're progressing."

The insider added: "She adores Pete [and] they're spending as much time together as they can … [Things are] moving quickly in their own way."

"Regarding the sign brought out at the club last night, I just want to reiterate that we didn't ask for it and didn't know it was coming to our table," Genevieve, 26, wrote via Instagram Story on Friday, February 25. "That being said, it was insensitive for me to video it and post it to Instagram. Nobody is perfect and I'm learning as I go. 🤍"

Shortly after taping of the "Women Tell All" special, many of the season 26 alums gathered in Los Angeles to celebrate the birthdays of fellow contestants Elizabeth Corrigan and Marlena Wesh. The group shared social media footage on Thursday, February 24, at a club, where they were gifted a "F—k Shanae" sign by the Doheny Room employees. The sign seemingly referenced contestant Shanae Ankney's status as a villain throughout Clayton Echard's season.

"The best part about this is we didn't even ask for it," Genevieve wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, sharing snaps from the festivities. "They just knew."

While Shanae, 29, was not at the bash, her behavior has been a fixture throughout the ABC series, which began airing in January. The Ohio native had feuded with multiple contestants including Elizabeth, 32, whom she called "two-faced" to Clayton, 28, alleging that the real estate advisor had ignored her earlier that day.

Elizabeth, for her part, later told Shanae that she had ADHD, which could have explained why she had not heard her name being called.

"It's really hard for me to have multiple auditory inputs because I can't process the information," Elizabeth explained in the January 31 episode. "I have ADHD. I've had it really bad since I was a kid. Like, I was probably just really trying to concentrate on what Ency [Abedin] was trying to say to me, and maybe you had said something in the middle of her saying something and I just, I can't, like, hear it."

Shanae claimed that she did not buy the excuse: "Fake, fake, fake … ADHD, my ass."

The former football player, who sent home Elizabeth amid her drama with Shanae, has since admitted he regretted his elimination decision.

"I'm sorry, Elizabeth, for what you're going through. I wish I could have seen what was happening when I wasn't there. I obviously knew y'all weren't in a good place, but at the time I thought it was, solely, petty drama," Clayton wrote in a social media statement earlier this month. "I would have sent Shanae home immediately for making fun of you for being neurodivergent, had I known."

He added at the time: "Overall, the experience for me watching hasn't been fun, simply because I'm seeing all the damage that I caused. I really meant well, but my actions weren't always the best as I now can see the repercussions from my decisions. I can promise you I'm learning from the mistakes though and am doing everything in my power to come out the other side a better man."

Why Sister Wives' Paedon Brown Doesn't Want Dad Kody to Have More Kids

He’s had enough! Sister Wives star Paedon Brown has 17 brothers and sisters — and he thinks that’s plenty.

“Dear God, I have enough siblings,” the reality star, 23, joked to Us Weekly on Thursday, February 24. “Please, no! I want to make this clear. I don’t want more kids in the family. Nieces and nephews are fine. No more kids with any wives, please!”

Paedon’s father, Kody Brown, shares a total of 18 children with ex-wife Christine Brown and his three sister wives, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown.

The Brown family patriarch, 53, wed Meri, 51, in 1990. The duo, who share daughter Mariah, 26, legally divorced in 2014 so that Kody could marry Robyn, 43, but they are still spiritually wed. Janelle, 52, became Kody’s second wife in 1993. The couple share Logan, 27, Madison, 26, Hunter, 25, Robert, 23, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 17.

Christine, 49, married Kody in 1994. In addition to Paedon, the former spouses share daughters Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11. The couple announced their split in November 2021.

Robyn, who joined the family in 2010, shares son Solomon, 10, and daughter Ariella, 5, with Kody. After becoming spouses by law, the Wyoming native also officially adopted her three children from a previous marriage: Dayton, 22, Aurora, 19, and Breanna, 16.

While his dad’s four marriages gave Paedon plenty of siblings, the Utah native isn’t interested in modeling the plural lifestyle for his own family one day.

“I’ve known it since I was, like, 7. I’ve known it for most of my life,” he told Us. “That is not the life I want to live. … If you think it’s right for you, go for it.”

The construction worker noted that his parents never tried to “force” polygamy on him or his siblings, several of whom are now happily married.

“They have been supportive in just about everything we’ve done,” he explained. “Mariah coming out, they were very supportive. Me joining the army, they were very supportive. … To the best of my memory, I have never been pushed toward [polygamy] — toward anything.”

The former National Guard member also thinks his mom is finished with plural marriage now that her romance with Kody is finished.

“She’s honestly done with it, and that’s OK,” Paedon explained. “She’s grateful for the sister wives. I think it’s the same thing for the kids. We’re all grateful for it, she’s grateful for it, but it’s just not for us and just not for her anymore.”

William's brother, Prince Harry, issued his own statement, noting that he and wife Meghan Markle were hopeful for a peaceful outcome.

"We stand with the people of Ukraine," the Duke of Sussex, 37, and the California native, 40, wrote in a joint statement via their Archewell website on Thursday. "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same."

While the parents of three — who share children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3 — seldom make political statements, they have been spending more of their down time in Berkshire, England.

"It's where Kate was raised and the place they feel most comfortable as a family whenever they go to visit which is a lot more often than people realize," a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month. "The country life suits them so much better in terms of the pace and environment, plus it's not too far from London when they need to commute."

"As we come to the end of our time here in Denmark, we've learnt so much about the innovative work that prioritizes social and emotional development in early childhood," a statement on Will and Kate’s official Instagram account read on Thursday. "The research and support for infants' mental health and well-being is inspiring and has sparked plenty of ideas for The Royal Foundation Centre of Early Childhood's future work. Who Is Kodi Smit-McPhee? Meet the Breakout Star of 'Power of the Dog'

Posted: 26 Feb 2022 09:00 AM PST

Making his mark! Kodi Smit-McPhee is the breakout star of Power of the Dog, earning a 2022 Golden Globes, SAG Awards and Oscars nomination for his role.

The 25-year-old actor — who plays the gangly, soft-spoken, feminine Peter in the film — took home the Golden Globes trophy in January for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. The film also earned the award for Best Motion Picture, Drama at the annual event.

"Personally, it isn’t too far from home. I’m a bit strange myself, gone through school like that, and the world of this industry," Smit-McPhee said during a September 2021 Q&A after a screening of the movie at the Toronto International Film Festival. "Being in front of so many eyes like this, you just have to completely embrace that side of yourself. I saw something in Peter that I looked up to and I wanted to represent."

In the movie, Peter must deal with his mother's (Kirsten Dunst) new partner, George (Jesse Plemons), and survive George’s bullying brother Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch) all while figuring out where he fits in amid the stereotypical tough guys of western Montana.

"He taught me that we don’t all necessarily have to fit in a box, and that’s OK," the Australian actor added. "We can be confident about that."

Two months later, the Golden Globes winner echoed his own sentiments about his dynamic role in The Power of the Dog, telling The Guardian, "I find parallels between Peter and myself."

He explained during a November 2021 interview, "We don't necessarily fit in the generalized boxes of society, and there are sides to him that I need to reinforce in my own life; his power and his confidence in who he is. He's not living up to the expectations of what masculinity and strength are to other people."

Smit-McPhee later earned a SAG Awards nod for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of Peter.

"The Power of the Dog was the most fulfilling and challenging creative experience I've ever had, and it would not have been made possible without the fearless leadership of [director] Jane Campion and the complete commitment of every member of the cast," the Alpha actor wrote via Instagram in January. "This nomination is profoundly humbling and I'm incredibly proud to be a member of SAG-AFTRA.”

The young star also earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor while The Power of the Dog is a Best Picture contender.

"I'm so deeply honored. And over the moon to say the least that we were all recognized for our work together," he wrote via social media in February after being nominated alongside his costar Plemons, 33, for an Oscar. "Jesse/Kirsten/Benedict/Ari and of course JANE. I love you all so much. ❤."

Scroll down to learn more about Smit-McPhee:

1. He's Australian
The 2067 star was born in Adelaide, Australia, in June 1996. He lived in Los Angeles for close to a decade before returning home to Australia to be with family amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. “I always felt a bit of shame or guilt if I was to pause and leave for a bit and take some downtime for myself,” Smit-McPhee told GQ in December 2021, noting he goes back and forth to L.A. “So I was glad that I got to do that. I could isolate myself in nature and come back with a fresh attitude.” John Photography/Shutterstock
2. He Has a Long List of Acting Credits
Smit-McPhee broke into the entertainment industry in 2006 playing Teddy in Stranded. One year later, at age 10, he portrayed Raimond Gaita in Romulus, My Father. He went to star in 2009’s The Road, 2012’s ParaNorman and 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. His more recent roles include Thomas “Tolly” Johnson on the miniseries Gallipoli and Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse and 2019’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix. 3. He Has a Painful Inflammatory Condition
The Aussie was diagnosed at age 16 with ankylosing spondylitis, a medical condition that causes vertebrae to fuse and results in chronic pain. By age 20, the condition had progressed to the point where Smit-McPhee was frequently bedridden due to the pain. He has since turned to physical therapy and mind-body work to help get his symptoms somewhat under control. However, while working on Power of the Dog, his vision became impaired in his left eye, which is a symptom of the rare autoimmune disease. “They just left the camera rolling, and it took me probably 20 times to catch the matchbox because I have no depth perspective — any time someone hands me something, I think it’s closer than it actually is,” Smith-McPhee told the New York Times in December 2021 of shooting one scene in particular. “But I eventually did get it, and it was without giggling, so that’s good!” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
4. His Dad Is Famous in His Own Right
The Dolemite Is My Name actor followed in the footsteps of his dad, Andy McPhee, when it comes to his career choice. McPhee started his career as a professional wrestler but began acting in 1990. His father is best known for his work on Pirate Islands, Neighbours, Home and Away and Sons of Anarchy. McPhee also starred in Saving Mr. Banks, High Ground and teamed up with his son on the miniseries Gallipoli and the 2020 film 2067. "I stand with Ukraine," the Iowa native, 44, tweeted on Thursday, February 24.

The Valentine's Day actor's 38-year-old wife, whom he wed in July 2015, was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. At the time, Ukraine was a member of the Soviet Union, which later became Russia. Kunis and her family immigrated to the United States when she was 7 years old.

"My parents both had amazing jobs, and I was very lucky. We were not poor when we lived in Russia, whereas most people were very unfortunate," the Spy Who Dumped Me actress recalled to the Daily Telegraph in September 2011. "My parents had given up good jobs and degrees, which were not transferable. We arrived in New York on a Wednesday and by Friday morning my brother [Michael Kunis] and I were at school in LA."

After the Black Swan star's parents — Mark and Elvira Kunis — sought to make a new life for their children, the Family Guy alum initially struggled to adapt.

"Ultimately, I adjusted fairly quickly and fairly well, but it must have been hard because I blocked out second grade completely,” she told the Los Angeles Times in October 2008. “I have no recollection of it. I always talk to my mom and my grandma about it. It was because I cried every day. I didn't understand the culture. I didn't understand the people. I didn't understand the language. My first sentence of my essay to get into college was like, 'Imagine being blind and deaf at age seven.' And that's kind of what it felt like moving to the States. But I got over it pretty fast."

The Bad Moms star visited her native country for the first time many years later alongside the Jobs actor, with whom she shares daughter Wyatt, 7, and son Dimitri, 5.

"[I went to Ukraine] two months ago, for the first time. … It was trippy," Kunis told Net-a-porter.com in a November 2017 interview, per the U.K.'s Metro. "There's a part of you that wants to feel something towards [the place]. I had nothing. We landed and Ashton was like, 'No?' [and I was like], 'Yeah, nothing. I got nothing for you, babe.'"

She continued at the time: "We went to our house and I knocked on the door because we really wanted to look inside. And [the new owner] was like, 'No!' She did not care. I said, 'I used to live here when I was little, my parents are here [with me].' She wouldn't even open the door. The whole experience was very humbling."

The former That 70s Show costars have since moved into a renovated farmhouse in Los Angeles with their children.

"We wanted the house to look like an old barn, something that had been here for decades, that was then converted into a house," the Thorn cofounder told Architectural Digest in June 2021. "But it also had to feel modern and relevant. … To feel tranquility in a space, everything needs to be in order. If the world around you isn't in order, it's hard to get your brain in order. When we're in our home, the world just makes sense."
