Inside Joy-Anna Duggar, Austin Forsyth’s RV Renovation: Before, After Pics

Posted: 22 Feb 2022 02:36 PM PST

Latest DIY project! Joy-Anna Duggar is flexing her renovation skills as she and her husband, Austin Forsyth, are fixing up an RV.

"HERE is the project we've been working on!🚍💪🏼, ” the Counting On alum, 24, revealed via Instagram in August 2021 of the “before” photos of their fixer-upper vehicle.

"Our RV remodel…. We bought this 2001 Freightliner Fleetwood, Bounder, Class A, Motorhome a few months back and we're finally starting on the renovation!!" she shared excitedly.

In her post, Duggar noted the couple's plans to replace the flooring, repaint the cabinets and walls and update the hardware. She also expressed her desire to transform the small closet space into a "bunk room" for her two kids — Gideon, who will be 4 on February 23, and Evelyn, 18 months.

"Some of my fondest memories are from family road trips and so I cannot wait to get this remodeled and on the road," the 19 Kids and Counting alum added in her post, before asking her followers for "must-have updates" that she and Forsyth, 28, should add to their camper.

In October 2021, she shared a YouTube video of the work she and Forsyth had done since her initial post that August, showing off a lot of gut renovations.

A few months later, in February 2022, the couple posted another video update, this time giving followers a tour of their mid-reno RV. The pair also put their DIY skills on display, including footage of Forsyth painting, Duggar putting together cabinets, and even little Gideon filming.

As she noted, Duggar is a big fan of traveling and she frequently posts snaps of the family of four’s various adventures and trips via Instagram. Most recently, the couple and their kids went on a family vacation to Beaver Lake, Arkansas, alongside her brother Jed Duggar and his wife, Katey Nakatsu, in June 2021.

"Fresh air is good for the soul," Joy-Anna captioned an Instagram slideshow at the time. "I forgot how much I loved the lake!💦 And we loved spending some quality time with Jed and Katey!🥰"

Months earlier, the reality TV star noted that her family had a great time on a camping trip.

"We just got home from our camping trip with Austin's family and we had the best time!❤," she wrote via Instagram in April 2021. "Fishing, fires, family kickball, walks, bike riding, outdoor movie night, Dr. Pepper (Thanks to Meme) and just chilling in our camping chairs for hours. I love being outdoors.❤"

The couple tied the knot in May 2017 before welcoming son Gideon a year later.

"Every child is such a precious gift from God," she exclusively told Us in August 2017 after the pair found out they were expecting their first child. "I'm most looking forward to watching Austin as a dad and raising children together with him. I have a lot of good memories of my mom teaching us and the quality time we spent together, and I'm really looking forward to doing that with my own children. It's such an amazing thing to be a parent and raise children!"

A new romance? The Weeknd was caught making out with DJ Simi Khadra at his star-studded birthday party.

The singer, 32, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was celebrating at Delilah in Las Vegas on Saturday, February 19, when he packed on the PDA with the Simi Haze Beauty co founder, 29, in the early hours of the morning, per a video obtained by TMZ. The event was also attended by Future, Tristan Thompson and Drake, who gave a toast to the birthday boy.

Khadra, who was close friends with The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid, was first linked to the Grammy winner in April 2021. The duo have not publicly commented on their rumored romance, but eagle-eyed fans did notice that the model, 25, unfollowed Khadra and her siblings on Instagram around that time.

In July 2021, the “Can’t Feel My Face” singer was also rumored to be dating Angelina Jolie after they were seen going out to dinner and attending concerts together.

A source told Us Weekly exclusively at the time that there was “nothing romantic” going on between The Weeknd and the Oscar winner, 46. "Angelina and The Weeknd had a business meeting," the insider said, adding that the pair “got along great” but were not dating.

However, the “Save Your Tears” musician sparked new speculation about their relationship in January, after fans noticed that the song “Here We Go… Again” on his album, Dawn FM, seemingly referenced his relationship with Jolie.

“My new girl, she's a movie star / I loved her right / Make her scream like Neve Campbell,” The Weeknd sings on the track. "But I make her laugh / Swear it cures my depressing thoughts / 'Cause, baby girl, she a movie star / Baby girl, she a movie star / I told myself that I'd never fall / But here we go again.”

Though a source told Us exclusively in January that the songwriter finds Jolie to be “the ultimate muse,” the pair are still just friends. “Angelina and The Weeknd have had a few meetups, but there is nothing romantic going on between them — at least that's what friends are told,” the insider said, adding that they “have more things in common than people would think.”

According to the source, the Salt actress and The Weeknd first became friendly because her children are fans of his music. “They're crazy about him and they love him and his music. They've all become quite buddy buddy, and the kids find it so cool that their mom has a connection with The Weeknd.”

The guitarist, 25, shared a 30-second video via TikTok on Monday, February 21, covering the 2014 Alex & Sierra hit "Little Do You Know" — a track penned by Deaton, 31, as part of her X Factor-winning duo with ex-boyfriend Alex Kinsey.

"When you marry the girl that wrote this banger," the Aussie native wrote in the clip, crooning the tune while accompanying himself on the acoustic guitar. "I sing this song in secret all the times lols," he added.

Immediately after Hemmings posted the cover, fans flooded the comments — and every social platform — wondering whether the When Facing the Things We Turn Away From artist revealed he surreptitiously tied the knot with the X Factor champ.

"WHEN YOU MARRY???" one fan account questioned on Twitter. "LUKE HEMMINGS IS THERE SOMETHING YOU ARENT TELLING US???"

Others thought the song title held an even deeper clue.

"Luke knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote 'when you marry the girl who wrote this banger' and then sang a song titled 'Little did you know,'" another Twitter user wrote. "Yes Luke, little did we know, because you didn't tell us!"

Still, some aren't so sure the "Place in Me" singer is actually married just yet, believing that the "when" in the "when you marry the girl …" statement hints at the future.

Hemmings and Deaton have been dating since 2018. They announced their engagement on June 8, 2021, revealing they had been keeping the news close to the vest for a minute.

"With shaking hands but a full heart I proposed to my best friend earlier this year," Hemmings wrote on Instagram at the time, sharing a slideshow of images from the romantic proposal. "I love you Thao and I can't imagine my life without you @sierradeaton."

If Hemmings and Deaton are, in fact, married, this marks another secret wedding for the four members of 5SOS — comprised of Hemmings, guitarist Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton Irwin — after Clifford, 26, revealed earlier this year that he and wife Crystal Leigh had quietly tied the knot in January 2021, two years after the "Jet Black Heart" songwriter proposed in Bali.

In addition to all of the excitement in their personal lives, 5SOS are starting to roll out a new era for the band. The day before Hemmings hinted at his possible marriage on the platform, the band shared a snippet of a new song on TikTok, seemingly titled "You Make Me." 5SOS are also finally heading out on their 2022 No Shame Tour in April, after postponing it for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Facing past regrets. Lamar Odom is feeling the love from Celebrity Big Brother viewers after he got candid about his ex-wife, Khloé Kardashian, on the CBS series.

“Actually, it’s really nice to hear [the support]. It's refreshing. When you marry someone in 30 days, they’ll always be connected to you somehow, someway. She’ll always have a place in my heart,” Odom, 42, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 22, of the connection he shares with Kardashian, 37, after he was evicted from the Big Brother house.

The retired athlete noted that the Good American cofounder’s help after his near-fatal 2015 overdose was monumental to him, adding, “When I came out of the coma, she took care of me. I'm talking about a woman that wiped my backside when I couldn’t do it myself. So, I’m fond of her for that. She had a lot of dignity and pride as well as I did.”

The former couple announced their split in 2013 after four years of marriage. Before calling it quits, the duo had their own reality show titled Khloé & Lamar. In 2015, Kardashian temporarily withdrew her divorce petition when Odom was hospitalized so that she could make medical decisions on his behalf. They finalized their divorce in in December 2016.

The California native previously opened up about where she stands with her ex-husband during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion special in June 2021.

“We’re not in touch, but I honestly wish him nothing but the best and good health. I think we’re all really rooting for him and just want the best for him,” she told host Andy Cohen at the time. “I loved that chapter in my life. Regardless of how dark and crazy that might sound, it was still just a very significant part of my life and my story, and I wouldn’t change it. It sounds crazy, but it was meant to happen and it happened.”

Kardashian moved on with Tristan Thompson in September 2016. The twosome welcomed their first child together, daughter True, in April 2018 shortly after the NBA athlete, 30, was caught cheating with multiple women. Though they initially stayed together, the duo split in 2019 when Thompson kissed Kylie Jenner‘s then-best friend, Jordyn Woods.

Us confirmed that the pair were giving their relationship another try in August 2020 while they quarantined together during the coronavirus pandemic. However, Kardashian and Thompson broke up again nearly one year later.

In December 2021, Us confirmed that Maralee Nichols sued Thompson for child support after claiming that they conceived a child in March 2021, while he was still in a relationship with Kardashian. Us later broke the news that the fitness model gave birth to a baby boy on December 1.

Thompson, who also shares 5-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig, revealed via Instagram the following month that he is the father of Nichols’ child, apologizing to Kardashian in the process.

Odom, for his part, made his feelings for the KUWTK alum clear throughout season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother.

“I had a beautiful wife. We were together every day until we got married,” the New York native told his costars during the February 14 episode. “I never thought about getting married again. I didn’t treat that good woman right.”

The former professional basketball player revealed that he wanted to try his “damnedest” to get in contact with Kardashian once back in the real world, adding, “I wish I was mature enough to handle [marriage] right, but I wasn’t. If given the opportunity again, now I know what to do. What to do and what not to do. Sometimes it’s hard for me to sleep at night thinking about her.”

Before Odom’s elimination, a source told Us that Kardashian thought her ex’s appearance on the competition series was a “great” choice, adding, “It’s income for him and something new and exciting.”

Now that he’s out of the Big Brother house, Odom is ready to reach out to Kardashian.

“Yeah, I will. She’s just somebody I will always wish the best for. And hopefully I get to see her soon,” he told Us, noting that he wasn’t ruling out another turn on reality TV in the future. “Maybe, if the opportunity fits itself, if I can learn from it. I don’t want to waste any time. I’m 42 years old, beating death, became sober at the same time. So, who knows? If it makes me happy, I would do it. If I can help somebody, I would do it as well.”

Celebrity Big Brother airs on CBS Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. ET and Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.

Who Is Bubba Wallace? A Guide to the Netflix Docuseries 'Race'

Posted: 22 Feb 2022 10:50 AM PST

Changing the game. Being the only Black NASCAR star comes with both incredible success and high-profile controversy — just ask Bubba Wallace.

The professional stock racer, 27, whose real name is Darrell Wallace Jr., rose to prominence during the 2020 season after successfully campaigning to have the Confederate flag banned from all NASCAR events. "No one should feel uncomfortable when they come to a NASCAR race,” he told CNN in June 2020 after unveiling a Black Lives Matter paint scheme on his car. “It starts with Confederate flags. Get them out of here. They have no place for them.”

His fight for equal rights caused controversy among fans of the sport, but it also brought NASCAR to a brand new audience. Wallace is hoping to expand that audience even further with his Netflix documentary series, Race: Bubba Wallace, which chronicles the driver’s 2021 season.

“This is unlike any project I've ever participated in; it’s a raw, emotional and completely transparent account of the events that took place throughout the 2020 and 2021 NASCAR seasons,” Wallace said of the series, which “traces his rise to the elite ranks of NASCAR as the only full-time Black driver and the turbulent aftermath that followed his decision to speak out about racial injustice,” per the official synopsis.

He continued: “With me, what you see is what you get. You'll witness the peaks and valleys of the sport and see how one’s actions off of the race track are just as important as the ones on it.”

In addition to chronicling his quest for victory on the track, Race will also highlight Wallace’s relationship with his loved ones, including fiancée Amanda Carter. The couple, who have been dating since 2016, got engaged in July 2021 while NASCAR was on hiatus. “Why I waited so long..we will never know,” the athlete wrote on Twitter after Carter, 26, said yes. “The wait is over!! Here’s to forever! Forever ever!”

Carter stood by her partner’s side through the ups and downs of his past few years, advocating for everyone to analyze their own preconceptions about race. “We must continue the conversation, no one is exempt from taking a look at themselves,” she wrote via Instagram in June 2020. “Thank you to those who have been working toward a better future whether that is in private or public, these waves will bring change.”

Keep scrolling to learn everything to know about Race and its star.

Who Is Bubba Wallace?
The Alabama native is currently the only full-time Black driver to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series and is the first African-American to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Wallace is currently ranked 21st in the NASCAR Cup Series and recently won the 2021 YellaWood 500 in Talladega, Alabama. Netflix
Which Team Does He Drive For?
As of 2021, Wallace is a member of 23XI Racing, the team created by basketball great Michael Jordan and NASCAR veteran Denny Hamlin. His car is number 23, an homage to the number that Jordan wore throughout his basketball career. Netflix
Has He Always Been a Passionate Activist?
"Bubba always cared, he was always aware of what was happening in the world when it came to race relations, because he saw it firsthand," the NASCAR star's father, Darrell Wallace, told ESPN in December 2020. While he acknowledged that his son was primarily focused on racing, the death of Ahmaud Arbery in February 2020 made the racer realize he needed to take a bigger stand. "Now he understands, it's time to stop putting up with this," the elder Wallace continued. "It's time to have a conversation, whether people want to have it or not. I think that you could say that about nearly everybody in America this year. You could say it about everybody in the world. But everybody doesn't have the stage Bubba has, and most haven't had the year that he has had either." Netflix
What Did He Advocate for?
In addition to having his car repainted to honor the Black Lives Matter movement and advocating for justice for Arbery and George Floyd, Bubba became one of the leading voices calling for NASCAR to ban the Confederate flag, which has been linked to NASCAR since the early days of the sport. "My next step would be to get rid of all Confederate flags. No one should feel uncomfortable when they come to a NASCAR race. So it starts with Confederate flags. Get them out of here. They have no place for them," he told CNN in June 2020. John Raoux/AP/Shutterstock
How Was His Request Received by NASCAR?
Though the league banned the flags two days after Bubba's public plea, the situation was met with trepidation from some of his fellow drivers, who were worried their sponsors would drop them. "It's tough. 'They don't want us to talk about it,'" he told ESPN of the response he got. During the 2020 season, he was assigned security at the tracks after the league received threats about him. He also faced some punishment from NASCAR itself for being outspoken about issues of social justice over the years. "I’ve gotten [fined by NASCAR] for saying what’s on my mind, my wallet has been hurt because of that," he alleged to the Associated Press in November 2020. "This is me. I feel what’s right, I say it, and that’s it." Netflix
Did He Deal With Any Threats?
On June 21 2020, a noose was found in Bubba's garage stall at the Talladega Superspeedway. “Today’s despicable act of racism and hatred leaves me incredibly saddened and serves as a painful reminder of how much further we have to go as a society and how persistent we must be in the fight against racism,” he said in a statement via Twitter at the time. NASCAR condemned the "heinous" act and launched an investigation into the situation. Two days later, the FBI announced that the rope was a door pulley that had been in the stall since October 2019 and concluded that a hate crime had not been committed. "We appreciate the FBI’s quick and thorough investigation and are thankful to learn that this was not an intentional, racist act against Bubba," NASCAR noted in a statement at the time. Bubba however, told CNN that he was "pissed" by the FBI's findings, maintaining that it was "a straight-up noose." Netflix
But Was There Any Support?
Despite some backlash, Bubba was also supported by NASCAR and its fans as he took a stand against racism. At the start of the Talladega 500, all 39 of Bubba's fellow drivers and their crews pushed his car to the front line in the minutes before the race began. "We just wanted to show our support. ... I hope a lot of people will look at that and learn from everyone coming together and supporting each other. That's what it's gonna take to make things better," Ryan Blaney told ESPN in June 2020. Netflix
What Did 'Race' Capture?
The Netflix series was filmed during the 2021 season and chronicles the aftermath of the flag ban and Bubba's decision to speak out about racial injustice. In addition, cameras were present for his races, including his historic first place win at the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Speedway in October 2021. Netflix

Most Shocking Celebrity Deaths of All Time

Posted: 22 Feb 2022 10:45 AM PST

Gone, but not forgotten. The loss of a Hollywood great is never easy, but in certain cases, a star’s passing comes long before it was their time to go.

Talents like Amy Winehouse, Prince, Whitney Houston, Cory Monteith and Robin Williams all left this world abruptly and without warning.

"Oh, Robin, still, his passing still hurts deeply," Pierce Brosnan told Esquire in May 2019 about his former Mrs. Doubtfire costar nearly five years after Williams died by suicide in August 2014. "I miss him."

The Mamma Mia! actor added: "His humanity was so far-reaching, and joy of people, and love of life, bountiful. … Robin was brilliant." The Good Will Hunting actor was 63 when he passed away, leaving a hole in many people's hearts.

Stars including Chadwick Boseman, Willie Garson and Norm Macdonald all fought private battles with cancer.

"I did not know that I could miss both his laughter and his silence in equal measure," Lupita Nyong'o, who worked with Boseman on Marvel's Black Panther, wrote via Instagram in August 2021. "I do. I do… One year after his passing, the memory of @chadwickboseman remains this alive in me."

Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016. After quietly fighting the disease — and filming numerous movies, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottomhe died in August 2020 at the age of 43.

While some of Hollywood's greatest talents were taken too soon, including Bob Saget, who passed away in January 2022 at age 65, other stars left fans wanting more … even if they lived into their 90s. That was the case when Betty White died on New Year's Eve 2021 at age 99.

"Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever," her agent and close friend, Jeff Witjas, said in a statement at the time. "I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don't think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again."

The Mary Tyler Moore alum was just a few weeks shy of turning 100. "The world looks different now. She was great at defying expectation," Ryan Reynolds, who worked with White on The Proposal, tweeted after her passing. "She managed to grow very old and somehow, not old enough. We'll miss you, Betty. Now you know the secret."

Scroll down to see what other greats went too soon:

“Are you sick and tired of dating apps? Are you sick of small talk with a bunch of losers who might just ghost you anyway? Well, let me introduce you to a special thing called masterdating,” the former Real Housewives of Orange County star, 37, teased in an Instagram video on Monday, February 21, captioned, “Megsplaining masterdating.”

King shared a definition of her new dating technique, describing it as “showing self-love or care,” “dating yourself – solo dating” and “self-love expressed through focusing in on your own interests and treating yourself.”

The Bravo personality continued: “You can dress however you want. You don’t have to wear makeup, and you can order whatever you want as much as you want and never forget dessert. Want to see that movie that just came out? Want to go on a romantic vacation but have no one to go with? Well, now you do.”

When practicing an excess of self-love, King noted that “you don’t need anyone else” because “you’ve got you.” The “Intimate Knowledge” podcast cohost emphasized, “Self-care is sexy.”

The reality TV alum was previously married to Brad McDill from 2007 to 2011 and to Jim Edmonds for five years before their 2019 split. King and the former MLB athlete, 51, share daughter Aspen, 5, and twin sons Hayes and Hart, 3. Us Weekly broke the news in May 2021 that the exes finalized their divorce.

Less than six months later, the Missouri native went public with her relationship with Owens, 43. The pair tied the knot in October 2021 but pulled the plug on their marriage by the end of the year.

As she continues to work through her recent split from President Joe Biden‘s nephew, King exclusively told Us earlier this month that she’s been “doing great.”

The YouTuber added: “I’ve been through a lot recently, but it all just feels like a quick memory. I’m in a really happy place. I think I’ve been through enough trauma that once I do experience something bad, I have a pattern of not dwelling on it.”

When asked whether she would be willing to walk down the aisle again in the future, King didn’t hesitate. “No. Nope, done,” she told Us.

Though she might not be ready to wed anytime soon, the former sales rep has been vocal about what she wants in a potential partner. “Let’s raise our vibe in 2022, team. (I need to remember love can be found in unexpected places … including from within. I know my heart is incredibly right for me.),” she wrote in an Instagram Story in January.

Alongside the empowering message, she shared a quote that read: “There is no shortage of people that you will find physically beautiful, but finding someone who matches the maturity you are looking for, the dedication to grow, the humor that brings you comfort, and someone who just feels right in your arms and life is incredibly unique.”

The former View panelist, 59, was having lunch at Nobu in Malibu on Monday, February 21, when she spotted Chopra Jonas, 39, and her husband, Nick Jonas, at the table next to her. “So I said, ‘Hi, Nick Jonas, you were great in Kingdom,'” O’Donnell recalled in a TikTok video, before she then addressed the Matrix actress.

“[I said,] ‘Hi, I know your dad.’ She goes, ‘You do? Who’s my dad?’ And I go, ‘Deepak,'” the former talk show host said. “She goes, ‘No, and Chopra is a common name.'” Confessing that she was “so embarrassed” by the faux pas, O’Donnell apologized to the new parents in the video, which was posted immediately after the lunch.

The next day, the comedian posted a second video to TikTok, clarifying that the Quantico alum “wasn’t rude” when the mix-up occurred. “It was just awkward,” she said. “I’m sure she gets sick of that. I’m sure I’m not the only one [who was confused].”

O’Donnell continued: “I just want to apologize to her and to everyone who thought it was really inappropriate of me. Sorry. Sometimes I f–k up. I did at Nobu.”

Chopra Jonas’ actual father is Dr. Ashok Chopra, who died in 2013 after a battle with cancer. The pair had a close relationship and the Isn’t It Romantic star revealed in her 2021 memoir, Unfinished, that she “fell into a depression” nearly three years after his death. “I was fortunate to be able to continue working, which was my salvation,” she wrote about that time. “Still, the time felt like a never-ending slump, a long sigh of sadness, a sort of pause in my life that lasted almost two years.”

She continued: “When I wasn't feeling numb, I felt lonely, sad and isolated. No one understood what was going on inside of me because I didn't tell anyone. I'm not saying there weren't a few bright spots, times when I delighted in the world around me. Mercifully, there were, and meeting Nick [in 2017] — however briefly — was one of them.”

The Bollywood star became a parent herself in January, when she and Jonas, 29, secretly welcomed their first child, a baby girl. “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” the couple shared via Instagram at the time. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

Since tying the knot in December 2018, the actress and Jonas have been open about their plans to start a family. “We'd be blessed with any child, son or daughter or anything," the Voice coach told Extra in February 2021. “Just knocking wood that it happens. I'm sure her mother will want to weigh in [on names], and my family would want to weigh in too.”

In a statement to Us, the Los Angeles Police Department noted that the actress, 27, was located at Colfax and Ventura on Tuesday and that “her family has been notified” of the news.

The update comes shortly after her mother, JoCinda Benjamin, revealed that she couldn’t get in contact with her daughter. The manager explained that she last spoke with Jaida on Saturday, February 19. At the time, the police stated that there was no evidence of foul play.

JoCinda took to social media on Monday, February 21, to ask for help in finding her daughter, writing via Instagram, "Never thought I'd ever have to make this type of post. My baby is missing please help me find her. I can't breathe."

The information was shared by several high-profile stars including Porsha Williams, Vincent M. Ward, MC Lyte and Kendrick Sampson. The Vampire Diaries alum, 33, mentioned that Jaida “has had a difficult a journey with mental health” throughout the years. He added: “Let's keep that in mind as we prioritize and wrap our resources around our people. If you know anyone in the area who can help please reach out to the contact information in the post.”

The North Carolina native has previously had roles on Insecure, Family Reunion, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Liv and Maddie and Southland. Earlier this month, JoCinda opened up about her daughter’s plans to take a break from the entertainment industry.

“In light of the recent tragic news of multiple suicides, combined with our own mental health concerns, Jaida and I have decided to take a much needed hiatus from the entertainment industry,” JoCinda captioned a selfie of her and Jaida on February 2. “Momager On-Set will continue to provide consulting and permit support, however, guardian and transportation service will be limited. We truly appreciate everyone's love & support over the years and ask for prayers and positive thoughts during this challenging time.”

JoCinda explained how representing Jaida inspired her to try to make the industry more diverse.

“As a single mother with a daughter working professionally in the entertainment industry, I found it very difficult getting my daughter to last-minute auditions,” she told Authority Magazine in July 2020. “Once she became an adult, I wanted to start a company assisting Industry Parents by ‘standing in the gap’ for times when they couldn't be two places at once, needed audition transportation, coaching, consultation or work permits renewed for their child performer.”

Wendy Williams' Health and Personal Struggles Through the Years

Posted: 22 Feb 2022 09:18 AM PST

How she doin'? Through the years, Wendy Williams has made headlines for much more than just her brutally honest opinions and on-air spats with her A-list interviewees.

The talk show host, who was once dubbed "New York's Shock Jockette" during her radio days, has found herself face-to-face with numerous health and personal struggles. She was addicted to cocaine for a decade in the beginning of her career, and more recently has battled Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism and other physical ailments.

Williams' marriage has also been a hot topic (no pun intended). For years, she has weathered allegations that her now-ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, was living a double life and had been unfaithful to her. After the TV producer welcomed a baby with another woman in March 2019, Williams finally pulled the plug on their 21-year marriage. The former couple finalized their divorce in January 2020.

The following year, Williams opened up about where she stood with Hunter, telling Extra, “He calls from time to time. … I don’t block his number though, he’s my son [Kevin Jr.’s] father.”

The pair’s ups and downs were explored in Williams’ Lifetime biopic, Wendy Williams: The Movie, which aired in January 2021. A documentary titled Wendy Williams: What a Mess accompanied the movie. While speaking with the Los Angeles Times about the two films, the Masked Singer alum referred to them as a “breakup project.”

She explained in January 2021, “I’m 56 years old. My breakup project is not destroying my ex-husband. I don’t regret meeting him. We fell in love almost instantly. We’ve been through a lot. … I have no regrets about marrying him, and I have no regrets about divorcing him.”

The New Jersey native asserted at the time that she had “outgrown” the relationship regardless of reported scandals. “That's the best way I can describe it,” she said. “And I’ve accepted my growth as opposed to fighting it.”

Williams didn’t want either movie to hold back about her past — even the most troubling parts. Viewers learned that she is the survivor of sexual assault and got a more in-depth look at her struggles with substance abuse. The Dancing With the Stars alum also recalled receiving “endless calls” with supportive messages about her prior miscarriages, which she experienced before welcoming her son in 2000.

“You’d be surprised how many women opened up and said, ‘Oh, my gosh, Wendy, that happened to me,'” she told the newspaper. “I would get stopped in the streets. … It really became very soothing for me to feel like my loss was able to help other people not feel embarrassed, not feel ugly or less than a woman.”

Take a look back with Us Weekly at some of the Ask Wendy author's personal woes.

Hunter's Affair Rumors
In September 2017, the Daily Mail published photos of Hunter hanging out with a woman named Sharina Hudson in New Jersey. The U.K. newspaper claimed that he had purchased a home for the massage therapist just nine miles down the road from the house he shared with Williams. The report further alleged that Hunter and Hudson had been romantically involved for more than 10 years. The next morning, Williams said on The Wendy Williams Show that she will “stand by my guy” and assured viewers not to “believe the hype.” Johnny Nunez/WireImage
Fainting on Live TV
The Emmy nominee fainted on air in October 2017 while wearing a Statue of Liberty costume for Halloween. Producers rushed to her rescue when she collapsed to the floor as the broadcast cut to a commercial break. The host returned minutes later, explaining that she simply “overheated in my costume.”
Flu Scare
Williams was forced to cancel three episodes of her syndicated show during the week of Valentine’s Day in February 2018 after experiencing flu-like symptoms. She noted on Instagram that she had not taken “a sick day EVER in over 25 years,” and returned as promised the following Monday. Manny Hernandez/Getty Images
Graves' Disease and Thyroid Issues
The former radio host took three weeks off from The Wendy Williams Show from late February to mid-March 2018 due to issues with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. “Wendy’s doctor prescribed a necessary three weeks of rest to get her levels and medication in sync,” a rep for the show told Us. Paras Griffin/Getty Images
Cocaine Confession
To celebrate her “Be Here” national campaign with The Hunter Foundation, Williams reflected upon her decade-long battle with cocaine addiction during a July 2018 interview. “I was a functioning addict,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “They wouldn’t fire me because I was making ratings. … It’s a miracle I was able to stop.” Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images for Wilhelmina Models
Shoulder Fracture
The fashion designer suffered a “hair fracture on my right shoulder” in mid-December 2018, but she soldiered on. She hid her sling under her clothes on air while announcing to viewers, “I don’t need an operation, and I’m not wearing a hard cast. … The show will go on!”
Slurring Her Words
Viewers expressed concern on social media after Williams slurred her words during a December 2018 episode of her show. She acknowledged her behavior was “less than stellar” and explained that she usually tries to avoid taking pain medication. “I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200 percent,” she insisted. Her health complications proved to be too much to handle though, and she repeatedly delayed her return to the show to focus on her well-being. “The struggle of being the main centerpiece of the show, day in and out, while fighting Graves’ disease has been a real battle,” a source told Us before Williams’ March 2019 return. More Hunter Cheating Rumors
As some skeptics continued to question the status of Williams and Hunter’s marriage, she addressed the speculation head-on. “I want to shout out my husband. I am still wearing my ring,” she said on TV in March 2019. “When you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 … we know each other. He is my best friend, my lover. … I know what you’ve been saying and I know what the streets have been talking about. … I’m still very much in love with my husband.” Lev Radin/Pacific Press/LightRocket via Getty Images
Sober Living House
The TV personality revealed in March 2019 that she has been staying at a sober living house and has a 24-hour coach. “When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates. I told you — two hours a day or [so], to take care of my body,” she told viewers. “I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.” Gary Gershoff/WireImage

Another Break
Williams announced in May 2020 that her talk show was going on hiatus again. “Recently, Wendy has been dealing with symptoms from her Graves’ disease which is causing fatigue. In consultation with her doctor and as a precautionary measure, she will be taking some time off as she continues to receive treatment,” a spokesperson from The Wendy Williams Show said in a statement to Us. Season 13 Delay
In September 2021, the host was forced to delay the start of the 13th season of her show not once, but twice. After testing positive for COVID-19, The Wendy Williams Show announced in a statement at the time that the premiere date would be moved from September 19, 2021, to October 4, 2021, to “allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover.” The announcement came after reports that Williams would be unable to take part in promotion of the season due to “ongoing health issues.” At the end of the month, the show announced via Instagram that the premiere date would again be pushed back to October 18, 2021, explaining that Williams “continues to be under a doctor's care and is still not ready to return to work.” The statement continued that her breakthrough case of coronavirus was “no longer an issue,” but she was still dealing with lingering unspecified health issues. Further Delays
As Williams continued to recover amid ongoing health concerns, a slate of guest hosts were tapped to take her place on The Wendy Williams Show throughout November 2021. "The Wendy Williams Show is excited to announce that actor and comedian and good friend to the show, @michaelrapaport, will be guest hosting the week of November 8th,” according to a post via the show’s official Instagram page on November 3. “The following week kicks off with an all-new hot talk panel on Monday, November 15th. Then, actor and comedian @BillBellamy will take the reins on Tuesday, November 16th and Wednesday, November 17th. Later that week, legendary talk show host @judgejerrytv and fellow daytime host @thestevewilkosshow will be filling in on Thursday, November 18th and Friday, November 19th.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock
Another Obstacle
In February 2022, Us confirmed that Williams won't be returning to her talk show for the rest of season 13. Amid the news, Williams' bank Wells Fargo referred to her as an “incapacitated person.” According to Page Six, the bank sent a letter to New York Supreme Court Judge Arlene Bluth requesting a hearing on the basis that Williams might need guardianship to help handle her finances. The talk show host's attorney Celeste N. McCaw filed an emergency petition ahead of the bank's statement, claiming Wells Fargo had denied Williams access to her assets. Addressing the Rumors
One week after announcing plans to take a "hiatus" from her talk show, Williams assured fans that she was "on the mend" in a statement from her counsel, LaShawn Thomas. "Wendy wants the world to know that she strenuously denies all allegations about her mental health and well-being," the lawyer said in February 2022. "Wendy wants you to know she is fine; she is of sound mind ... Wendy is grateful for the love and the outpouring of support she has received from her fans and she can't want to get back." The statement also addressed reports that Wells Fargo has declared Williams an "incapacitated person," claiming that the bank would not let her son — who has Power of Attorney — check in on her financial affairs. Thomas also stated that the talk show host "spoke with several bank managers" to prove she was of sound mind and alleged that Wells Fargo only raised suspicions about her wellbeing when she decided to switch to another bank. In addition, the statement claims that all of the recent rumors about Williams' heath are the "allegations of a former employee who is upset because she no longer has direct and unfettered access to Wendy's financial affairs." The TV personality once considered this person to be a "friend," according to her counsel. Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
'Going Back Stronger'
“It’s just after 8 o’clock in the morning and I’m doing OK,” Williams shared via Instagram in February 2022 while describing her “peaceful” vacation in Florida. “This is a break from New York; New York is fast-paced. … I am going back stronger. At 56 years old, there are things that happen to you, I would say things usually start about 40 and they go up from there.” Courtesy Wendy Williams/Instagram
Officially Over
In February 2022, it was announced that Williams' show was ending after its 13th season, with Sherri Shepherd taking over in the former's Fox daytime slot. "We all have a great love and affinity for Wendy, who grew into a true icon during her 12 incredible seasons as the solo host of a live, daily talk show dishing on 'Hot Topics' and interviewing celebrities," the copresidents of The Wendy Williams Show's production company noted in a statement at the time. "Since Wendy is still not available to host the show as she continues on her road to recovery, we believe it is best for our fans, stations and advertising partners to start making this transition now. We hope to be able to work with Wendy again in the future, and continue to wish her a speedy and full recovery." Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock; Eric Charbonneau/Shutterstock

Focusing on her recovery. Queen Elizabeth II canceled her scheduled meetings for Tuesday, February 22, following her recent COVID-19 diagnosis.

Stars Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 in 2022

“As Her Majesty is still experiencing mild cold-like symptoms she has decided not to undertake her planned virtual engagements today, but will continue with light duties,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement. Though the queen, 95, has continued to work in the days since she tested positive for COVID, she reportedly was not feeling well enough to attend the virtual meetings she had planned for the day.

Since testing positive for COVID, the sovereign has been “experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week,” Buckingham Palace announced in a statement to Us Weekly on Sunday, February 20. “She will continue to receive medical attention and follow guidelines.”

Earlier this month, Us confirmed that Her Majesty was “being monitored” after Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles both tested positive. She showed no symptoms at the time. The Prince of Wales, 73, had previously battled COVID in March 2020, before contracting the illness once more.

“This morning The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating,” Clarence House said in a statement on February 10. “HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today's events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.”

Four days later, the Duchess of Cornwall, 74, also tested positive and was “self-isolating” following the news.

All three members of the royal family have been vaccinated against the illness. “[The shot] was very quick, and I've had lots of letters from people who have been very surprised by how easy it was to get the vaccine,” Her Majesty recalled during a February 2021 virtual meeting with U.K. health officials, per The Guardian. “And the jab — it didn't hurt at all.”

She continued: "Once you've had the vaccine, you have a feeling of, you know, you're protected, which is I think very important. I think the other thing is, that it is obviously difficult for people if they've never had a vaccine … but they ought to think about other people rather than themselves. I think it is remarkable how quickly the whole thing has been done and so many people have had the vaccine already.”

Queen Elizabeth received the first dose of the vaccine alongside her late husband, Prince Philip, in January 2021. (The prince consort died in April 2021 at the age of 99).

The long-reigning monarch celebrated her Platinum Jubilee earlier this month, 70 years after her February 1952 ascension. The milestone made Elizabeth the longest-ruling royal in the world and a four-day Platinum Celebration will take place in June to commemorate the occasion.

“As I look ahead with a sense of hope and optimism to the year of my Platinum Jubilee, I am reminded of how much we can be thankful for,” she said in a statement on February 5. “These last seven decades have seen extraordinary progress socially, technologically and culturally that have benefitted us all; and I am confident that the future will offer similar opportunities to us and especially to the younger generations in the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth.”

The Russia native, 39, announced in January that he was stepping away from the tour due to “unexpected health issues.” At the time, the professional dancer wrote via Instagram that he hoped to “recover as quickly as possible” so that he could get back to performing.

Later that month, Brie Bella shared an update on how her soon-to-be brother-in-law was feeling, hinting that he was suffering from something on the more serious side.

“He’s doing a lot better, which is so great,” Nikki Bella‘s twin sister, 38, told Us exclusively. “I know it’s really made him feel good seeing everyone just reaching out and thinking of him and sending their thoughts and prayers his way.”

Brie noted that while the ballroom pro did test positive for the coronavirus midway through the tour, he also had “something more than COVID.”

Chigvintsev kept his fans in the loop throughout his recovery process, revealing via social media earlier this month that he was still on the mend. “I had another x-ray done yesterday, and it came back still positive for pneumonia, so I just got another set of antibiotics,” he explained in an Instagram Story on February 3. “Hopefully, this one will do the magic, will do the trick, to kick out the pneumonia out of my lungs.”

Several weeks later, his 38-year-old fiancée told Entertainment Tonight that he was “doing well” but still had some traces of pneumonia in his system.

“I could just tell there was something wrong, and something more [serious], so I was like, ‘He needs to see a doctor!'” Nikki recalled on February 12. “I was the one who was like, ‘We need to get him to a doctor.’ So, it’s been scary for a while, and we’re just hoping it heals because it’s his lungs.”

The Total Bellas star shares son Matteo, 18 months, with Chigvintsev, and previously opened up about the challenges of raising their little one while her future husband is on the road. The couple announced their engagement in January 2020 and welcomed their baby boy that July.

“This is the longest we haven’t seen each other. We went six or seven weeks [apart],” the former pro wrestler explained during a November 2021 episode of “The Bellas Podcast” while Chigvintsev was in the midst of rehearsals for season 30 of DWTS. “I got AGT: Extreme … [and] Artem and I both discussed, Teo goes everywhere with mama. That’s where he’s comfortable, that’s where he does best. And, you know, it’s been hard on [Artem] and it’s been hard on me, too, not to have my man in my bed.”

At the time, the California native gushed that she and Chigvintsev were “in a good spot” after their relationship was “a little rocky” while they were apart, adding, “[We] had to get back into therapy. You know, distance is really hard. … Now we’re stronger than ever.”

Rams' Matthew Stafford: I Wish I Reacted Differently in Viral Parade Video

Posted: 22 Feb 2022 07:25 AM PST

Matthew Stafford can't go back and change his reaction from the viral moment at the Super Bowl parade, but he can try to make things right. The Los Angeles Rams quarterback and wife Kelly Stafford opened up about the video of photographer Kelly Smiley falling off the platform in front of them at the L.A. celebration.

"We can't not talk about what happened. … There was a photographer who stepped off the back of the stage, had asked if we wanted a picture and I was like, 'Yes,' because looking back to my camera roll, I have literally zero of Matthew and I," Kelly began on her "Morning After With Kelly Stafford" podcast on Tuesday, February 22. "When she offered, she stepped back and fell. And it was an awful, awful moment. Matthew looked at me and said, 'Check her please,' and turned around. I’m gonna let him, you know, talk about it too, in a second. I went straight to her. I could see that she was OK, kind of stayed there, went and got some help."

The host noted that the couple "followed up with her the moment we got in the car" after the parade.

"Matthew actually looked at me and said, 'Hey, will you contract the Rams, ask how she’s doing?’ [I] did that they’re like, 'We think she’s gonna be OK.' We sent her flowers. [The] next day, we wake up, [she’s] not OK. So Matthew actually texted her himself. And that’s kind of where the story ended a bit. But I do know that the reaction that the world saw in that split second, I do know that’s not what you wish would have been your reaction."

Matthew noted that the incident "happened really quickly and suddenly and unexpectedly," explaining, "I wish I had a better reaction in the moment. I didn't. I apologize to her for that. All in all, I'm glad she's doing alright."

After the Wednesday, February 16, event, Smiley revealed via social media that she fractured her spine.

"One of those things that [you] try and train your actions to be a little bit better next time," Matthew concluded. "Other than that, it was a great day."

Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 22 Feb 2022 06:08 AM PST

Closing the door on romance? Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau have had fair share of ups and downs since they started dating in 2020.

After Moakler’s ex-husband Travis Barker‘s romance with Kourtney Kardashian made headlines, the former Playboy model opened up about her own love life.

“I’m with my boyfriend, Matthew. I’m super happy. We’re in such a great place and the things that I create with him, I’m not recycling from my past relationship,” the Rhode Island native exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2021, noting that she believed Barker was taking inspiration from their past throughout his relationship with Kardashian.

Moakler, who was married to the Blink-182 drummer from 2004 to 2008, explained at the time that she was more worried about how Barker’s actions would affect their kids: son Landon and daughter Alabama.

“I think it’s in poor taste to have your new girlfriend sit there while you put a skull and cross bones over my name and post it,” Moakler, who is also the mother of daughter Atiana with ex Oscar De La Hoya, shared. “But why post about it if you’re not trying to shade me? And then, of course, you know, my kids see that. They see their father basically insulting their mother, you know?”

That same month, the reality star’s children voiced their concerns about her relationship with Rondeau.

“Matthew is nothing but awful to her. Not only that, but he cheats on her,” Alabama claimed in an Instagram Story in May 2021, later adding that she didn’t feel close to her mother.

Moakler, for her part, shut down her daughter’s allegations, telling Us it was “heartbreaking” to see Alabama’s posts about the poker player. “What mother wants to have their child upset with them? What mother wants to hear their children say such horrible things?" she added, alleging that the teens were “being influenced” by “very manipulative” people in their lives.

Two months later, Rondeau confirmed that he and Moakler had called it quits.

“I broke up with Shanna months ago, and I’m happier than I have ever been,” he told Life & Style in July 2021. “I’m focusing truly on finding myself again as a person emotionally and mentally. I hope she finds what she’s looking for, but it’s not going to be me.”

Their breakup didn’t last long, however, as Us confirmed in October 2021 that the pair were giving their relationship another try.

"Shanna and Matthew have always been off and on, but they're in a really great place now," a source exclusively told Us. "He has been her confidant during this rough time in her life and they've been having a lot of fun together. They seem to be very happy together and Shanna's friends are thrilled she has love in her life."

Things took a turn for the twosome when Moakler joined the cast of Celebrity Big Brother in February 2022. While the CBS personality was discussing how much she missed her boyfriend, Rondeau made headlines when Teddi Mellencamp claimed she had received shady DMs from him about his girlfriend.

Before Moakler was evicted from the reality competition in February 2022 — and before the pair unfollowed each other on social media — a source informed Us that she would be “completely blindsided” by Rondeau’s actions once she was back in the real world. The insider also alleged that Rondeau was jealous of Moakler’s connection with fellow houseguest Lamar Odom.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rondeau confirmed his split from Moakler after removing photos of her from his social media feed.  "I broke up with Shanna months ago," he explained in July 2021. "It is disappointing things couldn't work out between us two, but sometimes love isn't enough. ... Making that decision to have us move on and go our separate ways was not easy, but I know it was the right decision. And overall, beneficial for the both of us." Moakler didn't publicly react to the breakup, but she did share a quote via Instagram, which read, "Women don't even trip after breakups anymore. "What I saw and what I heard on the live feeds between Shanna and Lamar was unacceptable, and I was not happy about those word exchanges as I stated earlier," the model, 29, wrote on his Instagram Story on Monday, February 21, of the CBS show. "However, I did not unfollow and delete the pictures between Shanna and I because of that. There are more personal reasons why I deleted and unfollowed Shanna at the time however that is NO ONE'S business other than Shanna's and my own."

The Rhode Island native added that he is "not jealous of Lamar Odom … or any other man," writing, "I'm very confident in myself and know my self-worth and what I have to offer. Shanna and I truly do love one another and just never want to let each other go."

The Murder Party star began dating Moakler in 2020, and the duo briefly broke up and reconciled the following year. Before the Meet the Barkers alum joined Celebrity Big Brother in January, she gushed via Instagram about how “thankful” she was for her boyfriend.

Ahead of Moakler’s eviction from the show earlier this month, her castmate Teddi Mellencamp made headlines over alleged DM messages she received from Rondeau about his partner.

"Shanna's boyfriend, who I didn't tag in any posts, slid into my DMs as well," the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 40, said during a "Two T's in a Pod" podcast episode, noting that Rondeau "was not hitting" on her but did say "something negative about" Moakler.

"Let's just say, Shanna, when you get out of the house, if he hasn't told you anything, you need to call me, girl," Mellencamp said.

On Wednesday, February 16, multiple sources confirmed to Us that the Big Little Lies star, 30, and the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 38, called it quits. The twosome remained on “good terms,” however, per an insider.

The pair, who met during the coronavirus pandemic, "haven't been spending any time together in recent weeks," another source told Us, noting that "Shailene has been super busy with work," while the NFL pro is "focused" on his football career. Meanwhile, "Friends of Shailene didn't believe Aaron is the best match for her," the source said.

It seems like there was a shift for the ex-couple after quarantine restrictions eased. "Everything was so different during lockdown, and they had been living in their bubble," one source told Us.

Woodley told Shape in June 2021 that their whirlwind romance was sped up by the pandemic. "Starting a relationship where you immediately move in with someone … taught us a lot about each other very quickly," she said. But "jump[ing] in headfirst" was a good thing, the actress explained at the time, as she and Rodgers "got some of the sticky bits out of the way early."

The Golden Globe nominee confirmed that the two were engaged — and had been "for a while" — during a February 2021 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Her announcement came several weeks after Rodgers thanked his unnamed "fiancée" in his NFL Honors speech.

Calling the athlete "a wonderful, incredible human being," Woodley jokingly admitted to Fallon that she "never thought I'd be engaged [to] somebody who threw balls for a living."

The star quarterback found himself in hot water in November 2021 when it was revealed that he had not received a COVID-19 vaccine, despite telling reporters months earlier in August 2021 that he was "immunized."

Rodgers, who tested positive for the coronavirus during the season, said he took "full responsibility for those comments," which he noted "some people might have felt were misleading." That same month, Woodley took to her Instagram Story to defend her then-fiancé and explain that he was not breaking his mandatory quarantine after a man on the street was mistakenly identified as the football player. Calling the mishap "straight up HILARIOUS," the California native told her followers, "Y'all need to calm the f—k down."
