Days before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, most people were already starting to lose hope that the Philadelphia 76ers could find disgruntled superstar Ben Simmons a new home during the 2021-22 NBA season. Luckily, hours before trades were no longer allowed, the Sixers have found a trade partner for Simmons - the Brooklyn Nets. After intense negotiation, the Sixers have agreed to trade Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two future first-round picks to the Nets in exchange for James Harden and Paul Millsap.

Ben Simmons On Playing With Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving

The Sixers-Nets blockbuster deal didn't only give Simmons a fresh start in Brooklyn but also the opportunity to play alongside two of the best active players in the league in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. In a recent press conference, Simmons expressed how excited he is to share the same court as Durant and Irving, saying that their trio is "going to be unreal."

“I think it’s going to be scary having those guys alongside me,” Simmons said. “Multiple different weapons on the floor. At the pace we want to play at, it’s going to be unreal.”

Expected Role In Brooklyn

With the presence of ball-dominant superstars like Irving and Durant, Simmons is aware that he would be needing to make certain adjustments in his game to make himself fit with the Nets. However, though he's yet to play his first game as a Net, it seems like Simmons already knows the type of role he should play to help the Nets succeed in the 2021-22 NBA season.

“I think it’s just staying aggressive and playing to my strengths. That’s being a play-maker, making the right plays, and setting my guys up. Defensively, locking down who I need to lock down,” Simmons said.

Nets Give Ben Simmons Warm Welcome

As of now, things seem to be going well for Simmons and the Nets. From the time he arrived in Brooklyn, Simmons said that he received a warm welcome from the Nets' fans, adding that his new teammates "embraced" him as soon as they met each other. A couple of hours after the blockbuster trade between the Nets and the Sixers, Simmons revealed that he had a conversation with Durant, who told him how excited he is to have him in Brooklyn.

So far, Simmons is in perfect shape but mentally, he said that he's still "getting there" and that it's an "ongoing thing." Since the trade, the Nets are yet to announce when Simmons will make his season debut, but some people are expecting him to join the team after the All-Star break.

During a recent appearance on The Ellen Show, the actress and LGBT icon talked about her upcoming milestone birthday and her journey from being ashamed of her real age to embracing it wholeheartedly. Plus, she revealed some juicy deets about her love life.

Cox posted a clip of the interview on her Instagram, which racked up more than 50 thousand views and a comment from Nicole Scherzinger saying, "Love you sis you so damn 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥."

Milestone Birthday

When Ellen DeGeneres asked how old she was, the Orange is the New Black alum replied without hesitation, “My birthday is May 29 and I will be turning 50 years old,” prompting an eruption of cheers from the audience.

She might have sounded proud but it wasn’t always that way. Cox recalled a time when she wasn’t so honest, saying, “I started lying, being elusive about my age in 2000. I was 28 years old and I was dating a guy who was 21. He broke up with me ‘cause he said I was too old.”

Real Age Revealed

Because of that rejection, the Inventing Anna actress decided to “just be 22” for the next two years – on her “dating apps and online…everywhere.” Not comfortable about lying, she later changed it to “over 21,” which she said was her age “from like 2002 to 2019” (cue laughter from the audience).

The turning point was when IMDb came out with her real age, which gave her so much anxiety that she decided to talk to her therapist about it.

'No One Really Cares'

In therapy, Cox “started unpacking all the stories I had about being older. The stories were like I wasn’t hireable. I wasn’t datable. I wasn’t f-able over a certain age…And then I worked through all of that,” she told DeGeneres.

During a speaking engagement in January 2019, she talked about her real age for the first time and “thought the sky was gonna fall.” Surprisingly, it was no big deal to the audience.

“It was a reminder that, in our heads, we might have shame about something and it’s terrible and awful if people know…and no one really cares,” she said.

49 Turning 50, And In Love!

“So I am proudly 49, about to turn 50, and I’m so excited and happy to be able to own this,” the actress continued.

Later, DeGeneres steered the conversation towards Cox’s boyfriend and love life, which the latter described as “magical” and “amazing.”

“It’s sacred, and I’ve never felt a spiritual connection with someone before…I’m just really grateful.”

Jackie Goldschneider Is Afraid To Die

Jackie Goldschneider was seen engaging in quite the emotionally-charged conversation with her husband, Evan Goldschneider, on Tuesday's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

After initially opening up about her struggles with an eating disorder years ago on the show, Jackie sat down for a meal with Evan. And, as she admitted to being scared about potentially relapsing, she teared up.

“I’m so scared of food and I’m so scared of gaining weight but I’m hungry all the time,” Jackie shared, via Page Six. “I’m afraid that I’m going to relapse and kill myself. I just don’t want to do this anymore.” 

Jackie Goldschneider's Kids Had Grown Concerned

According to Page Six, Jackie shared the shocking revelation after Evan revealed to her that their children, who include twins Jonas and Adin, 13, and twins Alexis and Hudson, 11, had been commenting on her eating habits.

“Within the last year, they’ve mentioned it several times,” he told her. “They said, ‘Why is Mom eating the same dinner every night?’ I said, ‘Just let her be.’”

Understandably, Jackie said that it was upsetting to hear that her children had taken note of her odd patterns with her meals, which she noted were “so ritualized.”

"It’s one thing if I do it to myself, but it’s another thing if I make my kids think that it’s normal behavior,” Jackie stated.

Evan Goldschneider Is Glad Jackie Is Being Open With Him

Speaking on in a cast confessional, Evan told cameras that he had “been concerned” about Jackie's behavior for quite some time. 

“I noticed early on that she comes up with excuses not to order food. She kind of quietly writes in her book, ‘This is what I ate today.’ And she was always defensive,” he shared. “I remember her saying, ‘How dare you criticize me for how I’m eating?’ I didn’t want to be judging her but I’m so happy she’s finally opening up and letting me in.”

Jackie Goldschneider Wants To Get Help

Also during the scene, Jackie told Evan she wanted to get help.

“I think I need a therapist. I’m ready,” she said.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Vanderpump stepped out in Los Angeles this week after being bumped off her horse at the end of last month.

Lisa Vanderpump Is Healing Quickly

Just weeks after she broke one of her legs, Lisa Vanderpump, the former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and current cast member of Vanderpump Rules, resurfaced in Los Angeles post-surgery. And, during the recent outing, she was seen wearing a cast on her leg and walking with a walker as she moved about her white Range Rover SUV.

According to a report from the Daily Mail on February 16, Vanderpump is healing quickly. In fact, after breaking her leg in four places on January 30 in a horse accident, she's said to be healing ahead of schedule.

Lisa Vanderpump Was Injured When Her Horse Fell

"I am doing so much better thanks to Dr. [Kenneth] Jung, and his brilliant talents as an orthopedic surgeon," Vanderpump told the outlet. "It was such a devastating fall and break, I'm just so lucky and thankful that I didn't break my back."

According to Vanderpump, her horse fell down as she rode it, cut his nose, and unfortunately was unable to keep her safe.

"I landed breaking my leg in four places, but I was so concerned I'd broken my back," Vanderpump admitted. "When the horse fell, he jumped over me after I landed on the ground... I can happily report that HRH Prince Tardon is doing fine now."

Lisa Vanderpump's Back Was Badly Bruised

"At first my back was so badly bruised, but it is healing very well," Vanderpump revealed. "Dr. Jung has told me that I am progressing very well and I'm ahead of schedule. I certainly won't let this get the better of me."

Although Vanderpump is healing quickly, she said she's "in pain" and doing "physio, massage," and "icing constantly."

"I never thought two weeks ago that I'd be doing so much better today," she continued. "I've had so much wonderful support from Ken, my kids and friends. I'm so grateful."

What's Next For Lisa Vanderpump?

Following the wrapping of the ninth season of Vanderpump Rules, fans of the long-running Bravo reality series are waiting on the edge of their seats to find out whether or not Vanderpump and her co-stars will be returning for a 10th season.

If Bravo does choose to renew the series, which they haven't yet, fans should expect to see the cast go into production on the new episodes later this year.
