Kanye West Posts — and Deletes — Claims About Corey Gamble Cheating on Kris Posted: 18 Feb 2022 04:20 PM PST Kanye West added fuel to the fire when he reshared an article claiming that Corey Gamble recently cheated on Kris Jenner while allegedly out at a club. "We outsiiiiide DONDA 2 2 22 22 Gamble has yet to address the allegations, but a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday that “this is a false narrative about Corey.” West, for his part, quickly deleted the social media post on Friday as he continues to deal with his divorce drama with his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian. The pair split in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage, but have yet to finalize their divorce. In recent months, the Grammy winner has slammed the Skims founder, 41, for her parenting style and objected to Kardashian's request to be declared legally single by the court. The Yeezy designer's brief Instagram post about Gamble came two days after a video first surfaced of a woman making out with a man who appeared to be the 41-year-old tour manager. However, the dark video doesn't clearly show the man's face and the person’s identity is still unverified. The source told Us on Friday that the video in question appeared to have been taken in Miami over Super Bowl weekend earlier this month. “Corey was at the Super Bowl game in L.A.,” the insider said. Eagle-eyed fans claim the mystery girl from the clip is OnlyFans model Yamile. The party scene was allegedly meant to be uploaded to OnlyFans, but was instead posted to the woman's Instagram Story on Wednesday, February 16, and later reshared by multiple fan accounts. The video was posted just two days after Gamble was seen celebrating Valentine's Day with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 66, and a group of her close friends. Lori Loughlin, Tamara Gustavson and Kym Douglas all attended the intimate dinner at Jenner's house on Monday, February 14. During the event, the group posed for photos with Gamble. The momager has been dating the former security guard since 2014, following her split from Caitlyn Jenner. Us confirmed in October 2013 that the former spouses, who share daughter Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, had separated after 22 years of marriage. The twosome finalized their divorce in 2016. Kris' relationship with Gamble continued to flourish in the years that followed, despite the pair's age difference. "Kris and Corey are doing great, and Corey is really in love and obsessed with Kris," a source exclusively told Us in October 2019. "He always tries to make her happy and be supportive of her." Seven months later, the former E! personality gushed over her sex life with Gamble in a bonus clip from season 18 of the family's reality show. "I don't know what's happening, but I think there's really something wrong with me because I'm always 'in the mood,’" Kris explained in the video. "I don't think it's normal." The California native described her man as a "walking, talking Luther Vandross song," which she explained made it hard to contain her excitement over how attracted she was to him. "He is so sexy always and all I wanna do is, like, 'Cue the music,'" she added. |
Patrick Mahomes Addresses Report He Asked Brittany Not to Come to Games Posted: 18 Feb 2022 02:55 PM PST ![]() The NFL season may be over, but the talk around Brittany Matthews and Jackson Mahomes continues. Patrick Mahomes is laughing off reports that he asked his fiancée and his brother not to attend Kansas City Chiefs games for the 2022-2023 season. "Y'all just be making stuff up these days Ohrnberger tweeted, "Ultimately it concluded with him asking them to not attend any games this upcoming season. Not surprisingly, Mahomes believes that Jackson and Brittany have become a distraction, and their sideline antics are bad for his brand. A lot can change over an offseason, but for now that's the story as it was told to me." After Patrick reacted, Ohrnberger backtracked on his story. "I can't substantiate the information that I tweeted out earlier today regarding Patrick Mahomes and his family. The source I received this information from was posing as someone I trust," he wrote. "I will delete this tweet later today along with the original thread. Please pass this along." Brittany and Patrick started dating when they were in high school, with the football star proposing in September 2020. They welcomed daughter Sterling in February 2021. Football fans have criticized her over the years, most recently getting upset when she sprayed champagne on fans in the cold after the Chiefs won a playoff game. “I just wish I could do what I want without getting attacked every week," she tweeted at the time. Jackson is also no stranger to controversy. In October 2021, he apologized for posting a TikTok video of himself dancing on the late Sean Taylor’s retired number, which was painted on the field in honor of the Chiefs retiring his number. "I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field," Jackson, who often raises eyebrows for making TikToks during games, tweeted at the time. "We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family." Two months later, a Kansas City bar slammed him in a statement after he posted that "the service is absolutely terrible and the servers are so rude" via Instagram Stories. "Dear @jacksonmahomes, we are sorry that we set boundaries that you tried to ignore. Often times people with un-earned status and a sense of entitlement think they are above the rules and will lash out at the employee enforcing them," SoT said at the time. "We are sorry we could not seat your very large group. As you probably saw, our bar is very small. We are sorry that you have the reach that you do, or at least that you think you do and that instead of using it for something positive you decided to use it to try and crush a small business. We survived a global pandemic, we'll survive your ego. We are sorry you didn't reach out to us first before taking to social media, but then again that is an expectation we would have from a mature and rational person, not someone who pours water on fans and dances on the memorials of tragically lost people for TikTok clout." |
Brandon Blackstock’s Relationship With Reba McEntire Amid Divorce Drama Posted: 18 Feb 2022 02:55 PM PST They may not be related by blood, but they’re family forever. Brandon Blackstock‘s relationship with his former stepmother, Reba McEntire, has remained strong through their respective divorces. Following her 1989 marriage to the talent manager’s father, Narval Blackstock, the country superstar became close to Blackstock, frequently referring to him as her “oldest son” in interviews. “Brandon's been my son forever it seems,” McEntire told Entertainment Tonight in October 2021. “Although he's my stepson, I still love him like he's my total — my blood.” The “Fancy” singer even gave Blackstock her seal of approval ahead of his marriage to Kelly Clarkson in 2013. The two singers became friendly after McEntire performed with Clarkson several times at the beginning of her career and they embarked on the 2 Worlds 2 Voices Tour together in 2018. “She’s married [to] my oldest son, Brandon, but we're also good friends,” the Reba alum told Us Weekly in March 2019 about her close bond with Clarkson. "So that goes a long way — when you can have a good friend as a part of your family.” McEntire and Narval announced in August 2015 that they had decided to end their marriage after 26 years together. “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other,” the Big Machine Label Group said in a statement at the time. “They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time.” A source told Us at the time that Clarkson “urged” the couple not to call it quits, even though they had been “living apart for two years” prior to their announcement. “She was really fighting for them to make it work and stay together,” the insider added. Despite the divorce, McEntire remained close with Blackstock and his kids. “My sister, my mom, me and [mother-in-law] are the gamers in the family. Everyone else we just drag into it,” Clarkson told Rolling Stone in May 2015 about spending the holidays with Blackstock’s family. “Reba and I are both competitive – she’ll tell you she’s not, but she’s a liar.” Clarkson, meanwhile, filed for divorce in June 2020, citing “irreconcilable differences” between her and the Texas native. Through the pair’s heated divorce and legal battle, McEntire has publicly shared her support for both her stepson and his estranged wife. Kanye West Objects to Kim Kardashian's Divorce Petition Amid Pete Drama Posted: 18 Feb 2022 01:41 PM PST Not so fast. Kanye West objected to Kim Kardashian‘s request to be declared single, hoping to put the motion on hold until other issues in their divorce are handled. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, February 18, West, 44, responded to Kardashian’s petition with concerns about their custody and property agreements that have yet to be handled. The Yeezy designer’s lawyer presented three conditions under which his client would support the reality star, 41, being declared single. Per the docs, West is requesting that Kardashian “will not transfer assets out of any trust” that they created together. The Atlanta native also requested that his estranged wife waive “marital privileges” until a custody decision has been made. This would mean any communication between the former couple could be included in court records. The request also asked that marital privilege be waived for any new spouse before tying the knot. West further seeks a third stipulation and argued for the “right of reimbursement” to remain intact in the event that either the KKW Beauty owner or the musician dies before a final property judgment is made. According to West’s attorney, Kardashian has rejected the conditions ahead of the pair’s upcoming March hearing. The Skims founder filed for divorce in February 2021 after almost seven years of marriage. In her initial paperwork, Kardashian asked the judge to enforce the prenup that the pair signed before their May 2014 nuptials. After the beauty mogul moved on with Pete Davidson later that year, West claimed to have never received any divorce documents. "SNL making my wife say 'I divorced him' on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off, and I never have seen the papers. We're not even divorced," he said during an appearance on Revolt's "Drink Champs" podcast in November 2021, referring to Kardashian’s monologue on Saturday Night Live one month prior. "So how we — because [it's] no joke to me, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents — I want us to be together." One month later, the California native filed a petition requesting to be declared legally single and to restore her own last name. “The parties' marriage has irremediably broken down. [Kardashian] no longer desires to be married to [West]," the December 2021 documents stated, noting that there was “no possibility of saving” the marriage. "There is no question that the marriage of the parties is no longer viable. [Kardashian] has no desire to reconcile with [West] and wants their marriage terminated.” The Selfish author, who shares children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2, with West, recently opened up about her decision to separate from the record producer. "For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided, I'm going to make myself happy,” she shared in her March 2022 Vogue cover story. “And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it's important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I've chosen myself. I think it's OK to choose you.” The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum’s interview was published as West’s pleas to reconcile grew more frequent — and before he slammed Davidson, 28, in several since-deleted social media posts. The E! personality told Vogue that she’s still her ex’s “biggest cheerleader,” and a source exclusively informed Us of how the pair intend to coparent amid the drama. "She wanted nothing more than to coparent amicably and still hopes that can happen eventually," the insider told Us earlier this month, noting that Kardashian is "trying to keep the peace and create security for her and her kids.” Us Weekly reached out to Kardashian and West’s reps for comment. |
Kelly Clarkson’s Ups and Downs Through the Years: Career, Love Life, More Posted: 18 Feb 2022 01:34 PM PST Our lives would suck without her! Kelly Clarkson has experienced success in the music industry, a messy divorce and first-time motherhood since she became a star. The singer was born on April 24, 1982, in Fort Worth, Texas. Her talent was apparent from a young age, making her a natural for season 1 of American Idol. She won the reality competition series in 2002, propelling her to fame. From that point forward, her music career was unstoppable, leading to hits such as "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," "Since U Been Gone," "Because of You" and "My Life Would Suck Without You." Despite becoming a fan favorite on American Idol, Clarkson later revealed that celebrities were initially not kind to her because of her affiliation with the show. "Everything was happening in a whirlwind and people were really mean to us because we're from a talent show and it was the first season," she recalled during a January 2021 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. "Everyone was so rude to us, like, on the [red] carpet, at [an awards] show … it was a horrible experience." Clarkson also revealed in 2019 how she had to overcome obstacles in Hollywood because of her participation on the show. "The first three years of my career was me just paying for winning a talent show," she told USA Today. "I got real bitter. I was just looking for anyone to talk to who knew what I was going through." The Voice coach ultimately proved the naysayers wrong, and after years in the spotlight, she found personal happiness with Brandon Blackstock, whom she wed in 2013. They welcomed daughter River and son Remington before she filed for divorce in 2020. Clarkson struggled with the public split and how much she should share. "I am a very open person, but I'm not going to be able to be truly open about this in certain aspects because there's kids involved," she told the Los Angeles Times in September 2020. "I think that I will navigate a way in which to be open and honest about it eventually, probably via [The Kelly Clarkson Show], and it'll probably, I'm assuming, happen organically when someone says something in conversation or something. It definitely wouldn't be planned." She added: "There are a lot of little hearts involved in this and while people feel, 'Oh, my gosh, what a loss,' imagine how it is in the epicenter of the storm. It's a lot to process and deal with, just as a family. So because it's not just me, I probably won't go too deep with it." Scroll through the gallery below to revisit Clarkson's ups and downs through the years: ![]() The Grammy winner’s parents divorced when she was 6. While she stayed with her mother, Jeanne, her brother, Jason, went to live with their father, Stephen, and her sister, Alyssa, moved to their aunt’s house. The division caused Clarkson to be estranged from her father. She broke down in tears while performing "Piece by Piece" — a song about her relationship with her father — on American Idol in 2016. "It’s kind of incredibly sad how many people relate to the message," she said on the Z100 Morning Show at the time. "I think that’s what’s kind of awesome but disturbing because it’s been a really remarkable thing after singing it — the response from it. I’m excited to be a vessel for a message that touches people, but at the same time I’m like, 'God, I wish it didn’t touch that many people.'" The talent manager’s father Narvel Blackstock’s company also sued Clarkson in September 2020, claiming that she owed them $1.4 million in unpaid commissions. She countersued, accusing the management company of violating California Labor Code. “She could no longer trust Brandon, and she felt that Brandon was just using her for her money and lifestyle,” a source told Us in August 2021 of the issues that led to their split. “She had tremendous resentment toward him. Not Just Brandon! Look Back at Kelly Clarkson's A-List Dating History Posted: 18 Feb 2022 01:04 PM PST Romance rewind! Kelly Clarkson kept her love life relatively private before her relationship with Brandon Blackstock. The "Miss Independent" singer, who rose to fame after winning American Idol‘s debut season in 2002, hasn't spoken much about her dating life before marrying Blackstock — even when she was rumored to be romancing From Justin to Kelly costar Justin Guarini in the early 2000s. It wasn't until 2015 that Clarkson confirmed that she and the season 1 American Idol runner-up had a brief fling early on in their careers. “I think any two people who were thrown together that much, I mean guy, girl, you put [on] ‘Timeless,’ that song from From Justin to Kelly, you can’t fight it," the Texas native said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen at the time. Guarini, for his part, denied in 2012 that anything romantic happened between the musicians. “Yeah, there was a rumor, definitely. We’ve just always been such good friends," he told Yahoo Music at the time. "Um, man, it was weird. She was like my sister on the show, and then you know, we made a movie together. … I’d say, we had a good time. Yeah.” The Georgia native later backed up Clarkson's recollection of their relationship, telling Pennsylvania concertgoers in February 2014 that the twosome were briefly romantic while filming 2003's From Justin to Kelly. Clarkson's outlook on love, however, seemingly shifted once she met Blackstock, whom she wed in 2013 after two years of dating. The "Piece by Piece" singer started to become more vocal about her relationships, telling Ryan Seacrest in October 2012 that she knew Reba McEntire‘s former stepson was The One the moment they met. “We were just in a room together, and then he came up and said he was from the same hometown as me and I was like, ‘Oh, we’re so getting married,'" Clarkson told the radio host during an interview for KIIS-FM, noting that Blackstock was in a relationship when she was introduced to him. "I was so that girl. When he became single, I was on the prowl.” The Grammy winner, who shares daughter River and son Remington with the talent manager, added: “Once you finally fall in love with someone and you are so comfortable with them, it makes you more comfortable in your skin. It makes you comfortable as an artist and it makes you more confident. I’m completely head over heels for him, he knows that.” However, the duo's romance didn't last, with Clarkson filing for divorce in June 2020. Clark Gregg Jokes Ex-Wife Jennifer Grey’s Memoir Doesn’t ‘Trash’ Him ‘Much’ Posted: 18 Feb 2022 12:54 PM PST Staying supportive. Amid the news that Jennifer Grey is set to pen a tell-all memoir, her ex-husband, Clark Gregg, was seemingly nervous about what would be included. "4 words u never want to hear [from] ur ex: 'I'm writing a memoir,'" the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum, 59, jokingly tweeted on Thursday, February 17. "So believe me when I say this book is great. It is (like J) wise fearless & funny af & [doesn’t] pull punches." Gregg further noted that the 61-year-old Dirty Dancing star's manuscript doesn't "trash me much" as he shared a link to her autobiography's preorder website. Grey previously announced her Out of the Corner book will be published by Penguin Random House on May 3. "A deeply candid and refreshingly spirited memoir of identity lost and found from the star of the iconic film Dirty Dancing," a description for the book read. "In this beautiful, close-to-the bone account, Jennifer Grey takes readers on a vivid tour of the experiences that have shaped her, from her childhood as the daughter of Broadway and film legend Joel Grey, to the surprise hit with Patrick Swayze that made her America's sweetheart, to her inspiring season eleven win on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. … With self-deprecating humor and frankness, she looks back on her unbridled, romantic adventures in Hollywood. And with enormous bravery, she shares the devastating fallout from a plastic surgery procedure that caused the sudden and stunning loss of her professional identity and career." The actors, who tied the knot in July 2001, announced in July 2020 they were calling it quits after nearly 20 years of marriage. "After 19 years together, we separated in January, knowing we'd always be a family who loves, values and cares for each other," the pair — who share 20-year-old daughter Stella — wrote via a joint Instagram statement at the time. "We recently made the difficult decision to divorce, but we remain close and are deeply grateful for the life we've shared and the wonderful daughter we've raised. P.S. Totally crying as we post this." Before their divorce, which was finalized in November 2020, the Iron Man actor and the former DWTS champ frequently gushed over their bond — and whether or not Gregg could attempt Swayze's famous Dirty Dancing lift. “We do it every morning,” the New Adventures of Old Christine alum joked during a June 2014 Today appearance. “I brew some tea, I hold the cup, she runs and then I feed it up to her. There’s only one man who can really do that lift and sadly he’s no longer with us — the amazing Patrick. I will never try it. That was one of our wedding vows." |
Maurissa Seemingly Slams Riley's Breakup Statement With the Help of Deandra Posted: 18 Feb 2022 12:11 PM PST ![]() While Maurissa Gunn is still staying mum on her split from Riley Christian, she's continuing to fuel speculation that he was the one in the wrong. The Georgia resident, 25, retweeted fellow Bachelor in Paradise season 7 alum Deandra Kanu's comments that seemingly shaded the New York native, 32. "I'm not an inherently messy person, but when I see things in real time and then see someone skew that perception for social media it's very scary," Deandra, 25, wrote. "It's not okay by any means to be the catalyst of your own demise and then go onto socials and ask for the publics sympathy. There are always two sides to a story." While she didn't mention Christian by name, Kanu's tweets come one day after he spoke out about the split. "It takes a while for me to heal, but I thank you all for your patience. This has not at all been an easy time. This has been one of the most difficult times of my life, but as with everything I always do my best to move forward with hopeful and positive spirits," the Bachelorette alum wrote via Instagram on Thursday, February 17. "But you see, I was always taught by my pops that 'we bend but don't break.' But some very good people showed me otherwise." He went on to shout-out members of his family, friends and Bachelor Nation for their support. Christian and Gunn, who got engaged on season 7 of BiP during summer 2021, announced their split in January. "We have decided to go our separate ways. Never did we imagine this, but we've come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves," they said in a joint statement. "We've appreciated everyone's love and support so far throughout our journey and we just ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate through this." Gunn previously sparked speculation that the exes weren't on good terms when she "liked" Demi Burnett's tweets that read: "Y'all got the Maurissa and Riley break up SO WRONG. … I don't want to talk about it bc it's stressful and not my business to tell! BUT LOOK DEEPER LISTEN TO UR INTUITION." Natasha Parker has also shed some light on the breakup. "[Maurissa] was just saying how there was so much that happened between them that they kind of just wanted to keep it between each other," the "Click Bait" podcast host said in January. "I think that they just have very different lives, at least from my understanding of what she was saying. She completely integrated into his life and I think that she kind of missed her family, she missed her friends." |
Who Is Who? Hilary Duff Reacts to Kids Mistaking Her for Lindsay Lohan Posted: 18 Feb 2022 12:06 PM PST ![]() A case of mistaken identity. Hilary Duff was a good sport when a class of elementary school kids confused her with Lindsay Lohan. The How I Met Your Father star, 34, reposted a viral video of students misidentifying her as “the girl from Jessie” and “Lindsay Lohan” on her Instagram Story on Thursday, February 17. “Although it’s Hilary Duff b**ches aka ‘Lizzie,'” Duff wrote over the video, which showed the kids reacting to a photo of her from her Lizzie McGuire days. “Live it, learn it … floral pants are back!” The Younger alum wasn’t the only 2000s Disney Channel star who the students didn’t recognize. “Told my students if they tell me who these people are, I would throw them a pizza party,” the original clip, which featured photos of Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale and Chris Brown, was captioned. The students’ guesses included JoJo Siwa, Britney Spears, “the girl from Hannah Montana” and Michael Jackson. Still, the “Sparks” singer wasn’t upset that the students didn’t recognize her, writing, “Man am I happy to not have to be ‘good‘ for the kids anymore.” After starring on the Disney Channel sitcom from 2001 to 2004, Duff struggled to shed her alter ego. “I definitely went through big frustrations of being like, 'Why can I not get a shot at being someone else?'” she told Cosmopolitan U.K. in September 2020. “I would get to producer callback and they'd be like, 'She's so great and she gave us the best reading and blah blah blah, but she's Hilary Duff.'” Now that she’s older, the “Wake Up” singer has made peace with her most iconic character. “It just doesn't annoy me any more when people refer to me as Lizzie McGuire or say that was my biggest role because it paved the way for all the other roads I've been able to take,” Duff said at the time. “I'm at such a different place in my life now, being a mother and a wife – it doesn't weigh on me anymore.” The Gossip Girl alum has three children: son Luca, 9, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie, and daughters Banks, 3, and Mae, 10 months, with husband Matthew Koma. “I don't feel like people only see me that way,” Duff added. “[Even] when they do, I feel appreciative of it because she was very impactful on so many people's lives.” The Cinderella Story star even spearheaded a Lizzie McGuire reboot series in August 2019, which was supposed to premiere on Disney+. However, the series never came to fruition and Duff announced in December 2020 that she had a more “grown-up” vision for the character than the streaming service wanted. “I've been so honored to have the character of Lizzie in my life,” the “So Yesterday” musician wrote on Instagram at the time. “She has made such a lasting impact on many, including myself. … I want any reboot of Lizzie to be honest and authentic to who Lizzie would be today. It's what the character deserves. We can all take a moment to more in the amazing woman she would've been in the adventures we would have taken with her. I'm very sad, but I promise everyone tried their best and the stars just didn't align.” |
Joey Lawrence, Chandie Yawn-Nelson Are Divorced Nearly 2 Years After Split Posted: 18 Feb 2022 11:57 AM PST ![]() Joey Lawrence and Chandie Yawn-Nelson are officially divorced after being married for more than 15 years, Us Weekly confirms. According to court documents obtained by Us, the judgment was filed on Wednesday, February 16, and a private settlement agreement was reached in terms of spousal support, child support and division of assets. The exes will share joint legal custody of their daughters Charleston, 15, and Liberty, 11. Lawrence, 45, originally filed for divorce from Yawn-Nelson, 45, in July 2020 after more than a decade of marriage. The Melissa and Joey alum was previously married to Michelle Vella from 2002 to 2005. In August 2021, Lawrence explained how the pair were amicably coparenting their children amid the split. "At the end of the day, you always take the high road. There's no excuse for being anything but kind,” he exclusively told Us at the time. “[Our relationship] didn't work out on a personal level, but we still share two amazing people. You've got to put them first and set an example." The Dancing With the Stars alum also noted that "irreconcilable differences" led to their decision to part ways, saying, "It's just two people that aren't right for each other. Nothing was done wrong, other than just falling out of love with that person. You want them to be happy, and you want to be happy." For Lawrence, not getting along while raising their children together would have been "unacceptable" and "inexcusable,” adding, "It's not fair to the kids." That same month, Us broke the news that the Celebrity Big Brother alum was engaged to Samantha Cope. Lawrence opened up about how working on a Lifetime movie led to him meeting his partner, 34. "So we met there and out of nowhere, you know, it was a crazy year and a half for everybody, obviously the whole world. Then when you least expect [it,] amazing things happen and meeting her has just been really the greatest thing ever,” he gushed to Us, noting that it was a "smooth transition" having Cope bond with his kids. "She’s a great person, and the girls do like her, which is great. It’s awesome." Lawrence later took to social media to address the news, writing via Instagram, “We are beyond excited to see what the future holds for us and to know we will grow old and super wrinkly together is the ultimate blessing." Paws Up! A Complete Guide to Food Network Stars’ Pets Posted: 18 Feb 2022 11:24 AM PST The best kitchen assistants! While many Food Network stars are known for whipping up tasty treats on camera, they are often supported by furry, four-legged companions. "From the time I was born there were always cats in my house," Bobby Flay wrote in a March 2017 CBS News essay. "My mom was and still is obsessed with them. As an only child, they were as close to my brothers as I had. I spent countless hours side by side with them and we kept each other company." The Beat Bobby Flay star is a proud cat dad himself. His two Maine Coons felines, Nacho and Stella, even have their own individual Instagram accounts. "[Nacho] travels with me almost wherever I go and, most importantly, shows me his love and affection constantly," Flay gushed in 2017. "Here's the best part: it's unconditional. Well, almost. He is food-motivated. … The world has a way of giving you what you need, and sometimes a new best friend shows up when you need him the most." Flay later launched a brand of cat food inspired by his pet called Made by Nacho. Above all, the New York native loves the support that his felines bring when he needs it the most. "Nacho has an incredible personality," the celebrity chef gushed during a March 2021 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. "He always has presence, but you know, he's a pretty handsome cat and he's a big cat. … He kind of wins over the dog side of people and brings them over to the cats." Rachael Ray, for her part, adopted her dog Bella Boo Blue in June 2020 following the death of her beloved Pitbull, Isaboo. "Happy Adoption Day to Bella Boo Blue While Ray continues taking care of her pups, she's hoping to combine her love of animals with her chef duties. "I really want to make a dog cookbook," the This Must Be the Place author exclusively joked to Us Weekly in February 2018. "I've asked millions of times. But none of the publishers want to do it, maybe you could put in a plea for me." Giada De Laurentiis is also an animal enthusiast, often cuddling up to her four pets: Bella, Bruno, Luna and Ollie. "Luna [my cat] has taken a real liking [and is] very curious as to what I'm doing when I'm on camera," the Giada at Home star told Today in July 2021. "She's very difficult to manage, I will say, I'm not good at it so I stopped trying and lo and behold she's become quite popular [with viewers].” Scroll below to meet Food Network stars' pets: ![]() Bella frequently steals the show on her mom’s social media accounts. Isla Fisher Looks Unbelievable in Plunging One-Piece: Pic Posted: 18 Feb 2022 10:55 AM PST Who says one-piece swimwear can’t be sexy? Stars like Amelia Hamlin, Salma Hayek and Teresa Giudice, among others, have proven time and time again that the figure-flattering design can look just as hot as a bikini. Of course, there are so many different ways to wear a one-piece swimsuit, evidenced by the hundreds of pics Us Weekly’s Stylish gathered of celebs in previous years. While some like to stick to practical, solid-colored pieces, others prefer to turn heads in bold takes on the trend. Either way, the figure-flattering style is undeniably eye-catching. Take Hayek, for example, who started 2022 by sharing a swimsuit-clad post on Instagram. In the pic, she dons an $890 low-cut leopard-print style from none other than French luxury fashion house Saint Laurent. It’s safe to say that the design is anything but boring — and makes a strong case for coveting a statement-making one-piece. Another one-piece moment that rocked social media at the start of the year is the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who wore an animal-print design from the celeb-loved label PQ Swim on New Year’s Day. Undeniably sexy, the swimsuit featured a cleavage-baring cutout in the center and a crossed halter neck top. She teamed it with a cowboy hat (because why not?) and fans flocked to the comments section to praise her look. But this is all not to say that a classic one-piece can’t look damn good, too. Actress Jane Seymour proved it possible while visiting an elephant sanctuary during a trip to Thailand. She grinned ear in an Instagaram photo posted from the excursion, wearing a black silhouette that put the legendary star’s toned legs on full display. Ahead, Stylish is keeping tabs on the hottest one-piece swimsuit moments of 2022, including the aforementioned celebrates and so many more. The Happiest Place! Olivia Rodrigo and More Celebs Visit Disney Theme Parks Posted: 18 Feb 2022 10:02 AM PST The love for Disney Parks is universal! Celebrities are just as obsessed with Disney World and Disneyland as anyone else — and these photos prove it. When Hollywood's most famous wish upon a star, they just might end up at one of Mickey Mouse's theme parks. However, some celebs have been making trips to Cinderella's castle long before they were well known. "I grew up in Orange County, so I grew up going to Disneyland all the time," Milo Ventimiglia explained during a February 2018 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, noting that he spent an eventful 12th birthday at the park. "Growing up at Disneyland, I mean, it was one of those places that you'd go and you'd fall in love, but you'd also like go and like get in real trouble." Drew Barrymore experienced something most parents are familiar with when she took her daughters — Olive and Frankie, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman — to Disney World. The actress noted that her kids were on "a big puffy princess cloud" … until they weren't. "If you've ever taken your kid to Disneyland or Disney World, it all ends at some point in mayhem," she admitted on Late Night With Seth Meyers in February 2017. "That is a legitimate picture of my daughter just losing it on the floor." The image she showed had her little one experiencing a full-on tantrum while dressed up like a fairytale character. The pattern repeated itself during another visit. "This is her losing it at Disneyland — because it all ends up there," Barrymore said. "You push it enough because you're like, 'I'm here! Let's skip the nap! Let's go, go, go!' You want to maximize it. This is how it always ends for me." On the other hand, some stars worry their children won't enjoy Disney as much as they do. "We've gone to [Disneyland] probably a bit more than is healthy," Ginnifer Goodwin admitted to Disney Twenty-Three in February 2016. The Once Upon a Time alum and husband Josh Dallas' son Oliver is set to follow in her footsteps, but the actress still has her doubts. "He cries when we take him away from the characters instead of what most toddlers do, which is cry when the characters come to them," she elaborated. "I have a couple deep, dark fears about childbearing — like they won't love Disneyland because I'll oversaturate them." However, kids aren't the only ones who love riding Space Mountain again and again. Ryan Gosling has admitted he's a full-on Disney adult. The former Mouseketeer told Esquire in August 2011 that he "went through puberty in a theme park." While that might sound like a bad thing, the Remember the Titans actor admitted it was "grateful," telling the magazine, "That place was a landscape to me. I had adventures every day. … Backstage at Disney World, there are stories. Mickey Mouse with his head off, drinking coffee on break. Pirates on the phone. Ghosts in line for food. It just made me see things.” Keep scrolling to see celebs visiting Disney Parks through the years: ![]() “Family trips to Disney,” Benson captioned a group shot in front of Cinderella’s castle in January 2022. Scott Eastwood: Brad Pitt Stopped 'Volatile' Moment With Shia LaBeouf Posted: 18 Feb 2022 09:47 AM PST While reflecting on his career, Scott Eastwood claimed that he had a “volatile” experience on set with Shia LaBeouf — and Brad Pitt got involved. During an interview with Insider on Friday, February 18, Eastwood, 35, recalled a scene on David Ayer‘s 2014 war movie, Fury, where his character had to spit on LaBeouf, 35, and Pitt, 58. The Disney alum allegedly took that personally and Pitt intervened in the situation. “I never think your process as an actor should ever hinder how people are treated on set,” Eastwood explained on Friday. “It should always enhance the production, not take away and put people in a situation where it’s a s–tty work environment or you’re rude or people have to be in an uncomfortable situation.” ![]() The Pacific Rim star native noted that Ayer later offered him a role on Suicide Squad, which was originally meant to go to LaBeouf. The Transformers star previously opened up about losing out on the role of “GQ” Edwards. "The character was different initially," LaBeouf told Variety in September 2016. "Then Will [Smith] came in, and the script changed a bit. That character and Tom [Hardy’s] character [later played by Joel Kinnaman] got written down to build Will up." The Even Stevens alum claimed that Warner Bros. wasn’t on board with him appearing in the superhero movie, adding, “I don't think Warner Bros. wanted me. I went in to meet, and they were like, 'Nah, you're crazy. You're a good actor, but not this one.' It was a big investment for them." In September 2020, LaBeouf made casting headlines again when he departed from Olivia Wilde‘s Don’t Worry Darling. While the performance artist was initially cast opposite Florence Pugh, news later broke that Harry Styles would be taking over due to a scheduling issue. Three months later, reports surfaced that LaBeouf was fired because of issues with the cast and crew. At the time, the Disturbia actor’s ex FKA Twigs filed a lawsuit accusing LaBeouf of "relentless abuse" during their yearlong relationship, including sexual battery, assault and emotional distress. In a statement to The New York Times, LaBeouf said that "many of these allegations are not true," but accepted "accountability" for his actions and revealed that he was in a 12-step program and therapy. "I'm not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years,” he added. “I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I'm ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say." Wilde, 37, who showed support for Twigs, 34, discussed how her approach to casting had changed while working on Don’t Worry Darling. "Someone, who’s a very established actor and director in this industry, gave me really terrible advice that was helpful, because I just knew I had to do the opposite," the Booksmart director shared with Variety in February 2021. "They said, ‘Listen, the way to get respect on a set, you have to have three arguments a day. Three big arguments that reinstate your power, remind everyone who’s in charge, be the predator.’ That is the opposite of my process. And I want none of that. … The no a–holes policy, it puts everybody on the same level." Us Weekly has reached out to Pitt and LaBeouf for comment. |
Matthew and Kelly Stafford Speak Out After Viral Video From Rams Parade Posted: 18 Feb 2022 08:53 AM PST Making things right. After a viral video captured Matthew and Kelly Stafford's reaction to NFL photographer Kelly Smiley falling off the platform at the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl parade, the quarterback and his wife are speaking out. "We have been in communication with Kelly Smiley since yesterday’s incident and we are sorry for what happened," the couple and the Rams said in a joint statement on Thursday, February 17. "As we told Kelly, we will be covering all her hospital bills and replacing her cameras. We wish her a speedy recovery.”
In the clip, Matthew seemingly walked away from Smiley after her fall at the Wednesday, February 16, celebration, while Kelly attempted to see if the photographer was OK. Smiley later revealed via Twitter that she fractured her spine. She has since deleted her social media account as the incident makes headlines. Her Instagram account, meanwhile, is still active. “Feeling OK. Staying the night in the trauma center," she posted on Thursday. "Thank you everyone for reaching out.” While the Staffords and Rams have since said they are paying her medical bills, a GoFundMe was previously set up by one of Smiley's friends, raising more than $48,000. "Thank you to everyone who has donated time and money to help Kelly out! She is very thankful and is overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that has been shown," the page reads. "Kelly has been discharged from the hospital and is resting at home. We are pausing the fundraiser for now until we have further updates on how to proceed. Again, thank you all for the support and for the help in reaching the goal so quickly." Matthew led the Rams to victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, February 13, and has been celebrating ever since. Kelly shared snaps of her husband partying with a beer and cigar on the parade float via Instagram. ![]() "Let. Loose. 9," she captioned a series of photos. Kelly also responded to Tom Brady's advice to "mix in water" during the event after the former New England Patriots star was caught drunkenly throwing the Lombardi Trophy at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl parade last year. "Hey @TomBrady … can you tell him that 24 hours before hand?!" the "Morning After" podcast host joked via Instagram. The couple, who share four daughters, have since jetted off to Las Vegas. |
OMG! Zendaya, Tom Holland Wear Jerseys With Each Other's Names at Hockey Game Posted: 18 Feb 2022 08:30 AM PST Couple goals! Tom Holland and Zendaya wore their love on their sleeves (and backs) during a recent New York City date night. The 25-year-old actors — who have been linked since July 2021 — attended a New York Rangers hockey game together at NYC's Madison Square Garden on Thursday, February 17. While the England native and the Euphoria star rooted for the home team as they took on the Detroit Red Wings, all eyes were on the couple's outfits. The twosome were photographed wearing personalized Rangers jerseys with one subtle difference: Holland's said Zendaya's name across the back and Zendaya's had his. Throughout the game, which they watched alongside Euphoria's Hunter Schafer, the Spider-Man: No Way Home costars leaned in close to chat. The Cherry star's brother Harry Holland also sat beside them. The Emmy winner and the Uncharted actor took their romance public last year, and their bond has continued to strengthen ever since. "Zendaya and Tom are in the best place they could be right now," a source told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2021. "Going public with their relationship has made them even more strong and confident in their relationship." The insider added at the time: "They are still in the new love phase and want to spend every moment together, which works out great because they've been doing so much shooting, traveling and press together. He adores her and she thinks he is so smart and funny. … They seem to be in it for the long haul together." The Disney Channel alum and her beau — who were spotted holding hands in NYC earlier this week — haven’t been able to stop gushing over one another since debuting their love. "There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate," Zendaya told InStyle in October 2021 of her boyfriend. "In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It's a lot of pressure — you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well. … Seeing him at work, even though he's not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist." The California native continued at the time: "Our director allowed me to come in every day [of the shoot]. And it was cool to see how [Tom] cares so much about his work and making it right. I watched him do a fight scene all day, which is exhausting. He'd do a move, come back to the monitors, watch it, and say, 'I can do that better.' I'd be like, 'Dude, you got it.' But he wants us to be perfect, and I really appreciate that." 9-1-1's Rockmond Dunbar Sues Disney After He's Fired Over COVID-19 Mandates Posted: 18 Feb 2022 08:28 AM PST Too many hot takes? While the world hunkers down into self-quarantine during the widespread coronavirus outbreak, some celebrities have used their extra free time to share controversial opinions about the global pandemic. Vanessa Hudgens came under fire after she made comments rejecting the idea that self-quarantine could remain in effect through the summer. “Yeah, 'til July sounds like a bunch of bulls–t. I'm sorry," the Spring Breakers star said during a live Q&A via Instagram in March 2020. "It's a virus, I get it. I respect it. But at the same time, like, even if everybody gets it … yeah, people are gonna die. Which is terrible but, like, inevitable?" Hudgens later apologized for her remarks, noting that it’s been “a crazy time” for everyone. "Yesterday, I did an Instagram Live and I realize today that some of my comments are being taken out of context,” she said via her Instagram Story the following day. “It's a crazy time, it's a crazy, crazy time and I am at home and in lockdown and that's what I hope you guys are doing too. Yeah I don't take this situation lightly, by any means. I am home. … Stay inside." Evangeline Lilly sparked controversy when she referred to COVID-19 as a type of "respiratory flu" and revealed that she has no plans to practice social distancing with her children, despite her Lost costar Daniel Dae Kim testing posting for the virus. “#morningtea Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp," the actress wrote via Instagram in March 2020. "They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual." While some Instagram users urged Lilly to stay home, the actress explained that she is prioritizing her and her family’s freedom. "Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall [sic] Law for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu," she wrote. "It's unnerving…Let's be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don't abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power." The league also announced that they are investigating Rodgers and the Packers organization to make sure they didn’t go against COVID-19 protocol. Two days after news of his diagnosis broke, Rodgers spoke out about his vaccination status in a lengthy diatribe on The Pat McAfee Show, claiming he “didn’t lie” about being immunized earlier in the year. “It wasn’t some sort of ruse or lie, it was the truth. Had there been a follow-up to my statement that I’d been immunized, I would have responded with this: I would have said, ‘Look, I’m not some sort of anti-vax flat-Earther. I’m somebody who’s a critical thinker,’” Rodgers explained. “I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy, [in the] ability to make choices for your body, not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something.” The California native said multiple times that “health is not a one-size-fits all for everybody,” which is why he did a lot of research and studying about the vaccine choices during the off season. He also claimed he has an allergy to something in the mRNA vaccines, before stating that he underwent his own “immunization protocol” to protect himself and his teammates, but the NFL didn’t recognize it as being vaccinated against COVID-19. “My desire to immunize myself was what was best to my body, which is why this is so important to me,” Rodgers continued. “My medical team advised me that the danger of having an adverse event [to the vaccination] was greater than getting COVID and recovering. I’m not telling somebody to get vaccinated or not get vaccinated. … Personal health decisions should be private. The shaming and the outing … Everyone has their own story. This shamming, cancel society, that is wrong.” David Tulis/UPI/Shutterstock ![]() The Dutch model revealed in September 2021 that she would not be “forced” to get the coronavirus vaccine. “I tried to ignore the negative and focus on the positive. But at this point I can no longer turn a blind eye to the injustice that is happening right in front of us,” she wrote via Instagram. “Although my hands are shaking while writing this, I feel it is time to choose courage over comfort and speak my truth. I will not be forced to take the shot. I will not be forced to prove my health to participate in society. I will not accept exclusion of people based on their medical status. Freedom of speech is a right worth fighting for, but we can only solve this united in peace and love! Pass on the torch of hope and love and speak your truth. ❤️.” David Fisher/Shutterstock ![]() The NBA Hall of Famer said that he believed athletes should get the COVID-19 vaccine before others. “[There are] 300 million shots. Give a thousand to some NBA players, NFL players, hockey players,” he said on Inside the NBA in January 2021. “As much taxes as these players pay. Let me repeat that: As much taxes as these players pay, they deserve some preferential treatment.” ETIENNE LAURENT/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock ![]() The model raised eyebrows in December 2020 when he said on his Instagram Stories that he "absolutely" would not get the COVID-19 vaccine. One day later, he clarified his stance, writing that because he has Lyme disease and a "compromised immune system," he has to be "careful with each vaccine individually looking at positive and possible negative effects." Jason Merritt/Radarpics/Shutterstock ![]() “I just think COVID is God’s gift to the left,” the Oscar-winning actress said in a video posted in October 2020, per The Hill. “That’s a terrible thing to say. I think it was a very difficult thing to send down to us, but it has ripped the Band-Aid off who he [Donald Trump] is and what he stands for and what is being done to average people and working people in this country.” Fonda added, “We can see it now, people who couldn’t see it before, you know, they see it now and we have a chance to harness that anger and make a difference.” ETIENNE LAURENT/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock ![]() The Olympic athlete took to Instagram in September 2020 to defend her choice to not wear a mask while shopping as an "exercise in being brave" amid the coronavirus pandemic. "We are all endlessly complaining about the restrictive & arbitrarily selective rules that we are being strongly 'suggested' to follow & yet we are all consenting," she said of wearing a mask. "We have become a country & a world estranged from each other & it is more deeply unhealthy than any virus could ever be." The next day, Walsh apologized for her controversial statement. "I fully acknowledge that addressing such an emotional, layered, nuanced and polarizing topic on social media was not the smartest thing," she wrote in another lengthy Instagram post. "I am not advocating for people to stop wearing masks. I wear a mask most often. ... I truly believe we are on the slippery slope of a mask mandate evolving into a vaccine mandate. That scares the 🔥 out of me." Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum apologized in July 2020 after making offensive comments about the virus. “I’m sorry for calling covid19 a hoax. Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() The Canadian musician came under fire for the way he introduced his acoustic Instagram performance in May 2020. “Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some f--king bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus,” he captioned the video post. “My message to them other than ‘thanks a f--king lot’ is go vegan.” Courtesy of Bryan Adams/Instagram ![]() The House of Cards alum compared people losing their jobs amid the pandemic to himself losing work opportunities due to his multiple sexual assault allegations in a March 2020 video interview. "I don't think it will come as a surprise for anyone to say that my world completely changed in the fall of 2017. My job, many of my relationships, my standing in my own industry, were all gone in just a matter of hours," Spacey said in a video message for the Bits and Pretzels Virtual Founders Breakfast. "I don't often like to tell people that I can relate to their situation because I think it undermines the experience that they may be having, which is their own unique and very personal experience. But in this instance, I feel as though I can relate to what it feels like to have your world suddenly stop." YouTube ![]() The Portal to Hell host raised eyebrows with a crude joke about the origins of the novel coronavirus. "Here's the thing, I'm not letting a disease started by bats kill my dad. That's not how this is going," he told Entertainment Tonight in April 2020. "This is not some giant revenge plot from bats to get back at my dad." While he intended it as a simple joke about Ozzy Osbourne's iconic 1982 bat bite, many found the comment to be insensitive to the realities of the crisis. Simple as that. Call me ‘ignorant’ but I’m not gonna stop living!” The reality star later explained that she made light of the situation because she didn't understand the severity of the pandemic at the time. " For those who expressed concern or viewed my remarks as insensitive, I had just returned from a work trip and wasn’t fully updated on the pandemic,” she wrote. “I now understand the severity of our current predicament. Celebrity Splits of 2022: Stars Who Broke Up This Year Posted: 18 Feb 2022 08:20 AM PST Calling it quits. It happens all the time, but the world never gets used to seeing celebrity couples break up. Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard were among the stars who made headlines for their splits in 2022. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in January that the model and the NFL star were "getting divorced," though they were "going to try and remain civil and friendly towards each other." Divorce documents obtained by Us claimed that the pair were having marital issues as far back as December 2020. "The parties have experienced irreconcilable differences [and the] differences have caused a break down in the marital relationship," the papers, which were filed in June 2021, read. "Said irreconcilable differences have existed for at least six months prior to the filing [of] this Complaint and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation." After Iman and Shepard welcomed daughter Cali in August 2018, he got real about balancing their parenting responsibilities and their relationship. (The duo also share daughter Cassie, whom they welcomed in December 2019.) "It's honestly tough whenever you put a baby into the situation because you've got to still try to find time for each other and a lot of the focus goes onto the baby," he told Us in August 2019. "So that's the main thing is just me trying to carve out a little time in my schedule and her trying to carve out time in her schedule because we're both pretty busy. That's the toughest thing about it, but we find a way to get through it." Another split that made news in 2022 was Joe and Bessy Gatto's, though they technically announced it in December 2021. The comedian revealed the separation in an Instagram post that also explained his exit from Impractical Jokers. "Alongside my friends, I've devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn't be prouder of what has been accomplished," he wrote on New Year’s Eve in 2021. "However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids." Bessy, for her part, addressed the breakup in her own Instagram post. "With love and respect, we have decided to separate. Although we will no longer be a couple, we will always be a family to our beautiful kids and we look forward to co-parenting together," she noted. "We ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate this new chapter together. And of course we will still continue to help animals and rescue dogs, which is something we are both passionate about!" Gone Sour! Olivia Rodrigo, BF Adam Faze Split After Less Than 1 Year Posted: 18 Feb 2022 08:04 AM PST It’s brutal out here. Olivia Rodrigo and boyfriend Adam Faze have split after less than one year together, Us Weekly confirms. The 18-year-old Disney star was first linked to the 24-year-old music producer in June 2021 after they were spotted getting cozy together at a premiere party for Space Jam 2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. One month later, Rodrigo and Faze seemingly made things official during a PDA-filled outing in Los Angeles. Neither the “Deja Vu” songstress nor the Must B Nice founder publicly confirmed their romance. Rumors swirled that the duo were on the rocks earlier this year after they appeared to spend New Year’s Eve apart. Around the same time, Rodrigo raised eyebrows when she spoke with British Vogue about learning how to move forward after a breakup. “Besides cutting off all contact, I think it’s important to not only forgive them but forgive yourself for letting everything happen. That’s what I’ve learned,” she told the outlet in December 2021. Whether she was alluding to her relationship with Faze or her past with High School Musical: The Musical: The Series costar Joshua Bassett, the actress went on to reveal the traits she tends to look for in a partner: “Consistency, kindness and respect.” The “Favorite Crime” artist added: “I know that I’m in love when I want my partner to be happy, even if that means that they’re not with me.” Rodrigo broke out onto the scene following the release of her debut album, Sour, in May 2021. The record won Album of the Year at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards and helped the songwriter earn seven nominations for the upcoming 2022 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Along with her impressive vocal range, Rodrigo’s candid lyrics caught fans’ attention. When she dropped her first single, “Drivers License,” listeners were quick to uncover Easter eggs that pointed toward the song being about Bassett, 21, and Sabrina Carpenter. The pair subsequently released their own songs in response, fueling fans’ suspicions of a major love triangle. “I totally understand people’s curiosity with the specifics of who the song’s about and what it’s about, but to me, that’s really the least important part of the song,” Rodrigo told Billboard of her hit single in January 2021. “It’s resonating with people because of how emotional it is, and I think everything else is not important. … It was like, my deepest insecurities in a four-minute song.” Bassett, for his part, has asserted that things won’t be awkward between the costars when they return to film season 3 of their Disney+ series. “I’m very excited. I think we have a really, really awesome season lined up, and I think, you know, it’s gonna be truly a blast,” he said on The Zach Sang Show in December 2021. “I think we have a lot of really great episodes lined up, and it’s gonna be, I think, the most fun one yet, in terms of writing and moral and all that stuff. I’m really excited.” |
