NBA Rumors: James Harden To Philly, Ben Simmons & Tyrese Maxey To Brooklyn In Proposed Sixers-Nets Trade

Since Ben Simmons expressed his desire to leave, the Philadelphia 76ers have been active on the trade market, searching for an All-Star caliber talent who would help Joel Embiid win the NBA championship title. Though Simmons remains an official member of their roster, the Sixers continue to be linked to several big names who are rumored to be available on the trading block, including All-Star shooting guard James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets.

According to The Athletic, Daryl Morey was "hell-bent" on finding a way to bring Harden to the City of Brotherly Love since he assumed the role as the Sixers' president of basketball operations.

Is James Harden Available?

Acquiring Harden from the Nets is indeed a possibility for the Sixers before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. Though they are currently focused on fully dominating the Western Conference and capturing the Larry O'Brien Trophy this season, Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed that the Nets have growing concerns regarding Harden's fit with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the court. Charania added that the Nets are willing to engage in a blockbuster trade with the Sixers involving Harden and Simmons.

Proposed Sixers-Nets Trade

However, the Nets are highly unlikely to agree to a one-for-one trade with the Sixers. To convince them to make a deal, the Sixers would be needing to add more precious trade assets in their potential offer. In a recent article, Lee Tran of Fadeaway World came up with a hypothetical trade idea that would enable the Sixers to acquire Harden from the Nets before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

In the proposed trade scenario, the Sixers would be sending a package that includes Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, and a 2022 first-round pick to the Nets in exchange for Harden.

James Harden Worth Giving Up Tyrese Maxey

Giving up Maxey would be a tough decision for the Sixers, but it would be worth it if it means acquiring a player of Harden's caliber. Harden would be a dream acquisition for the Sixers. Pairing him with Embiid would help them improve their offensive efficiency that currently ranks No. 12 in the league, scoring 109.1 points per 100 possessions.

Harden would give the Sixers a prolific scorer, rebounder, playmaker, and three-point shooter. This season, he's averaging 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 10.2 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Why The Nets Would Make The Trade

The proposed trade deal would also make sense for the Nets, especially if they no longer believe that Harden could help them achieve their main goal this season. By sending Harden to Philadelphia, the Sixers won't only receive a younger All-Star caliber replacement for him in Simmons, but they also obtain a very talented and promising guard in Maxey and a future draft pick.

"Tyrese Maxey is a solid young combo guard that just got named to the Rising Stars game. He is currently putting up 16.9 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 4.8 APG on the season while shooting 39.9% from beyond the arc," Tran wrote. "There's no doubt that Maxey has a promising future, and would provide the Brooklyn Nets with a solid prospect. The draft pick, in this case, would be a low-tier pick, but it would potentially help the Nets draft a contributor later in the first round."

The Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to invite her fans to join a cool challenge on her fitness app Fit52. With an impressive airborne photo showcasing the 38 year-old's lean and strong legs, people are getting inspired to commit to fitness.

Fit52, an app Underwood created with trainer Eve Overland, recently shared an impressive photo of the singer on their Insta, where she was engaged in an exercise routine that's flaunting her leg power and core strength.

In the picture, the 38-year-old American Idol alum is doing a box jump with a perfect form. Wearing a blush pink top with tight multicolor leggings and sporting a high ponytail, Carrie is totally in the zone, transforming from award-winning singer to shredded fitness influencer.

Commit To Fit Challenge

To start the year right, Underwood's Fit52 partnered with BODYARMOR sports drink for the Commit To Fit Challenge.

The in-app challenge is designed to be both approachable and customizable for users of all skill levels. It was modeled to help you develop healthy habits in 2022.

Thanks to the well-engaged community of Fit52 users, motivation is always available. The challenge also offers interesting prizes for participants along the way.

Carrie shared one of the challenges (which she easily nailed, btw) in an Insta reel, where she was seen doing push-ups while stacking up BODYARMOR bottles.

Impressing Jimmy Fallon With Her Guns

We're not the only ones impressed by Carrie's fit bod. Jimmy Fallon was also in awe of her guns.

In a guest appearance at The Tonight Show to promote her book Find Your Path, which features Underwood's diet and fitness routines, Fallon showed a page in the book with Carrie doing dumbbell reps.

"Look at the guns! Come on, man. That's what I'm talking about!" Fallon remarked.

"I work hard. I love muscles. I love feeling strong," Carrie responded to the compliment.

Finding Her Path To Fitness

In an interview with USA Today, Carrie explained that it wasn't until she was in her 20s that she started being serious about fitness because she felt that her metabolism has shifted.

As for her advice to others, she says:

"Just keep going. It shouldn’t be a chore, which is why we tried to make the app fun and keep you on your toes. We encourage people to just start something – we literally have one-day-a-week workouts."

"I feel like it’s all about practical choices, nothing in the book or in the app or anything is weird or unattainable, it’s practical," Underwood says. "That’s what it’s all about."

CrossFit Athlete Brooke Wells In Bikini For Crazy Backflip

Brooke Wells is a daredevil on and off the box!

The 26-year-old athlete showed to her 1.6 million followers on Instagram that she's not one to back down on challenges. In a short clip, the blonde beauty did a crazy backflip and then dove into the water, all while looking gorgeous in a color-blocked bikini. Her foot slipped pre-jump and it could have ended pretty badly.

Fun With Friends

"Yesterday consisted of countless flips off the top of a boat, being reckless on jet skis & hanging out with some pretty fit people in the ocean. Let’s do it again today 😝," Brooke captioned a series of Insta photos with her and her friends having fun.

She was wearing a tri-color bikini that showed off her toned athlete body. The photos were taken on a Miami trip back in 2019, where Brooke attended Wodapalooza with fellow CrossFit athletes.

Her Foot Slipped!

Showing off her flipping skills, Brooke shared videos of her and her friend doing a backflip dive. As friends egged her to do the trick, Brooke carefully positioned herself on the rail. But, when she stood up to take the plunge, her left foot slipped on the railing. Thankfully, she still landed fine and didn't hurt herself.

To redeem her not-so-perfect dive, Brooke and her friend did a second attempt. Her foot found the rail this time and she nailed the backflip jump.

Concerned Fans

Although Brooke and her friends were just playing around, fans weren't too happy with her risky behavior, which could have ended very badly.

"Her foot in the first video gave me anxiety 😭," one follower wrote in the comments.

"Make sure you have your footing in place before you jump," another one said.

It's not the first time that the athlete took a challenge head-on, of course. She's always down for some wholesome fun on the water! In a previous post, Brooke also tried flowboarding for the first time. She wiped out instantly but that's another fun memory for the books!

Back To The Gym

Currently, the athlete is back to the gym. She is taking it slow and has to limit her movements, after dislocating her elbow during Event 12 at the 2021 CrossFit Games. A recent update says that she is feeling positive about her recovery. She even welcomed the new year by sharing her "new battle scar" on Instagram.

With a little help from her adorable furbaby Ollie, who has been giving her cuddle breaks at the gym, Brooke should be back competing in no time.

The fashion house recognized her multi-talents, crediting her as a “model, actress, and book club host” for the Discover the Language of Calvin Klein campaign. In line with that vision, Kaia delivered a passionate monologue ­Letting it out in the Bodega wearing low-rise denim and white cotton Calvin Klein tank.  

In this monologue, Kaia agitates over reconnecting with an old friend over a call with peaking anxiety. In an anti-climax, we realize she’s thinking out loud in a convenience store as she asks the cashier for her bill after buying a pack of chewing gum.

Kaia throws it back in this orange Calvin Klein triangle bralette and bikini two-piece. The high rise waist band frames her hip and highlights the curves of her well-rounded bum. Showing off a flat tummy and super-toned body, the actress serves a double dose of sexiness.

Louis Vuitton tapped decorated French video director and photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino to realize their dream on film. 

Baptiste said his inspiration for the campaign came from the fragrance’s name - Spell On You.

True to his vision, Léa takes us on a sensual journey with her Pixie blonde cut and muted makeup as she struts towards her lover. One thing about seductresses is their ability to morph into your wildest desire, and Léa does that for the second part of this campaign. The bond girl transforms into a corporate boss lady strutting across the room in her all-black outfit. Still rocking her pixie cut, Léa wears straight-legged black pants, a bandeau, and an open buttoned blazer.
