How Megan Fox Reacted to Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess' Baby News Posted: 11 Feb 2022 04:26 PM PST Keeping it low-key. Megan Fox wasn’t expecting to hear that her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, is having a baby with his girlfriend, Sharna Burgess — but she’s also not upset by it. “Megan was surprised to hear the news about Brian and Sharna expecting,” an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly of the Jennifer’s Body star, 35, adding that it hadn’t “even crossed her mind” that the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 48, might have been trying for a baby with the Dancing With the Stars pro, 36. Earlier this month, Us confirmed that the Don’t Blink actor and the dancer are expecting their first child together after Burgess debuted her baby bump in photographs taken while the duo vacationed in Hawaii. Green shares sons Noah, 9, Bodhi, 7, and Journey, 5, with Fox. The California native is also dad to son, Kassius, 19, whom she shares with ex Vanessa Marcil. “Megan also doesn’t put much thought into what her ex is up to,” the source adds. “She cares the most about Brian being a father to their boys and being there for them.” The Masked Singer alum announced in May 2020 that he and the Transformers actress decided to call it quits after 10 years of marriage. "It sucks when life changes and something that you're used to, that you've been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change," he said on his "…With Brian Austin Green" podcast at the time. "I really don't want Megan and I to be at odds. … She's been my best friend for 15 years and I don't want to lose that." The duo finalized their divorce earlier this week, with a judge signing off on the paperwork on Tuesday, February 8. “Megan has moved forward with her life and is pleased with the outcome of the divorce settlement," an insider told Us. Last month, the New Girl alum got engaged to Machine Gun Kelly after a year and a half of dating. "In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic," Fox wrote via Instagram in January alongside a video of the 31-year-old rapper’s proposal. "We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma." Though the Tennessee native is happily moving forward with the “My Bloody Valentine” singer, she plans to keep Green in her life — to a point. “She just hopes that they continue to coparent well together,” the first source tells Us. “Other than being coparents, their lives are very much separate. She’s moved on with MGK and is devoted to him and focused on their future together.” With reporting by Diana Cooper |
Nina Dobrev Praises 'Greatest Boyfriend' Shaun White After Final Olympics Posted: 11 Feb 2022 04:16 PM PST More than a summer fling! Nina Dobrev and Shaun White's whirlwind romance has gotten very serious, very quickly. The Vampire Diaries alum and the professional snowboarder sparked dating rumors in February 2020 when fans noticed that they had shared similar photos from a trip to South Africa. One month later, they were photographed together for the first time during a bike ride in Malibu. Us Weekly broke the news in April 2020 that Dobrev and White were, in fact, a couple. A source said at the time, "They're enjoying their time together and getting to know each other better. Nina really likes Shaun, and they both laugh a lot together." The actress made their relationship Instagram official in May 2020 when she shared a photo of herself holding a pair of scissors while the athlete jokingly looked afraid. White later uploaded a video of Dobrev changing up his look, which he captioned, "My hairstylist said he wouldn't, so she did. #QuarantineCuts." An insider exclusively revealed to Us at the time that the duo were "living together" amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "They're super compatible and both free-spirited people," the insider added. "They're very comfortable around each other and both supportive of one another in their fields." Things heated up between Dobrev and White in August 2020 when they took a trip to Tulum, Mexico, where they were spotted getting cozy on a beach and in the water. "Nina and Shaun have gotten really close during the quarantine and have been having the best time traveling together," a source exclusively told Us. "Shaun is super happy and loving life." As the couple's romance has developed, they've become pros at balancing busy schedules and making time to see one another. "We have a nice little system of how to stay in touch," White exclusively told Us Weekly about how the duo manages long-distance dating in October 2021. "Plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity that we can go see one another. So, I know during the holiday break, we're going to meet up, and we're going to meet up again probably around Christmas time. Anything that happens in between, then I'll jet over and see her. You just make it work." He added at the time: "I think that's the goal of it all and the key to it all is just making the time. [Nina’s] super organized and on top of it, so I give it to her. She always finds a way to make it happen." The Degrassi: The Next Generation alum previously dated her Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder from 2011 to 2013, Bridge of Spies actor Austin Stowell from 2015 to 2016 and former Scream Queens star Glen Powell for most of 2017. RHONJ’s Jennifer: My Daughter's Guidance Counselor Called Amid Affair Drama Posted: 11 Feb 2022 03:41 PM PST ![]() Getting through it. Jennifer Aydin got real about how her husband Bill Aydin's past affair coming out on The Real Housewives of New Jersey has affected their five children. "Gabby's guidance counselor called her into the office today to see if she was OK," the 44-year-old reality star wrote via Twitter on Friday, February 11, referring to the couple's 14-year-old daughter. The Bravo personality, who chose to stay with Bill after he cheated on her 11 years ago, explained that Gabby was thrown off by the meeting. "I think she felt more embarrassed than anything," Jennifer said. The Long Island, New York, native — who also shares sons Justin, 17, Jacob, 12, Christian, 10, and daughter Olivia, 8, with the plastic surgeon — insisted that her children are handling the situation as best as possible. "My kids are OK as long as they know their parents are OK," she added. "So, please don't ask them about this. Makes it easier." Jennifer has been in the public eye since she joined RHONJ during season 9 in 2018. However, her husband's past affair didn't surface until the season 12 premiere earlier this month. After her costar Margaret Josephs brought the scandal to the forefront on the show, Jennifer exclusively told Us Weekly how she initially learned of her husband's infidelity. "I found out pretty much 10 days before I had Christian," she said on February 1. "So, you know, I was going through the process of letting it sink in while having to have a baby and wanting my baby to have all of the blessings that a normal child would, like having his mommy and his daddy in the delivery room. So I wanted to go through the motions of playing this game of life, so to speak, to try to put on a brave face for my children." Jennifer, who married Bill in 2002, explained that she ultimately chose to forgive and forget, noting that she thought "nobody would ever find out" because she kept it a secret. "Nobody knew — [not] my mother, my sister, my best friend, my cousin," Jennifer explained. "Like, when I say I was taking it to the grave, I kept that secret inside. And it was very hard for me to do, and I was able to do it for the greater good of my family." She confirmed that the pair's kids have since been told about their father's affair, but as a couple, they agreed not to bring up again, "not even in arguments," according to Jennifer. "Because I wasn't nasty towards him [when it happened] and we were playing the role of this happy family life — and of course, he was so remorseful and, you know, always petting me, trying to kiss [and] care [for] me — after a while I was just like, 'You know what? Let's just pretend this never happened,'" she concluded. "And that's what I did." The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. |
Armie Hammer’s Most Controversial Moments Over the Years Posted: 11 Feb 2022 03:24 PM PST Armie Hammer is no stranger to controversy and backlash, having raised eyebrows for his questionable behavior and comments as far back as the early days of his career. The actor came under fire in January 2021 after multiple women took to social media to share screenshots of graphic direct messages that he had allegedly sent them. The DMs, which have not been verified, detailed domineering sexual fantasies ranging from rape to mutilation to cannibalism. Hammer called the screenshots "bulls–t" in a statement to TMZ in addition to slamming the "vicious and spurious online attacks" that caused his name to trend on Twitter for several days straight. In the midst of the scandal, he decided to step away from the movie Shotgun Wedding, in which he had been set to star alongside Jennifer Lopez. He cited spending more time with his children, Harper and Ford, whom he shares with estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers, as the reason for his exit. The alleged DMs were not the Call Me By Your Name star's first controversy, though. He previously made headlines for being outspoken on Twitter and Instagram as well as sharing TMI details during interviews. As a result of his online antics, Hammer was the subject of a number of op-eds since he broke through in the entertainment industry in 2010 with his portrayal of the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network. In November 2017, BuzzFeed made waves by publishing an article titled "Ten Long Years of Trying to Make Armie Hammer Happen," in which the website's senior culture writer Anne Helen Petersen wondered whether he was "truly a unique star who's finally finding his niche — or simply a beautiful, pedigreed white man who's been allowed, in a way that few others in Hollywood have, endless attempts to discover it." The Gossip Girl alum infamously called the journalist "bitter AF" after reading her viral story. He subsequently announced that he would be taking a break from Twitter, only to fan the flames with Petersen once more upon his return two months later. In May 2021, the J. Edgar star checked into a Florida rehab facility, according to a report from Vanity Fair. A friend of the Hammer family told the outlet at the time that the actor was “committed to getting healthy and having custody of his kids." Nearly seven months later, Us Weekly confirmed that the Mirror Mirror star checked out of the facility. "I can confirm that Mr. Hammer has left the treatment facility and is doing great," a lawyer for Hammer said in December 2021, without specifying when the actor checked out. Keep scrolling for a look back at some of Hammer’s most controversial moments: ![]() Seven-and-a-half years before the Rebecca star’s alleged DMs surfaced, he candidly spoke about his penchant for BDSM during an interview with Playboy. “I used to like to be a dominant lover. I liked the grabbing of the neck and the hair and all that. But then you get married and your sexual appetites change,” he said in June 2013, three years after tying the knot with Chambers. (The couple split in July 2020). “And I mean that for the better — it’s not like I’m suffering in any way. But you can’t really pull your wife’s hair. It gets to a point where you say, ‘I respect you too much to do these things that I kind of want to do.’” Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock ![]() Hammer tweeted in November 2017 that the chronology of the aforementioned BuzzFeed op-ed was “spot on,” though he felt the writer’s “perspective [was] bitter AF.” “Maybe I’m just a guy who loves his job and refuses to do anything but what he loves to do…?” he added. In February 2018, the movie star attempted to reignite the feud, telling Peterson via Twitter that she should “try meditating” or “even medicating” because her “glass seems chronically half empty.” Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock ![]() Countless celebrities and fans shared personal photos with Stan Lee in November 2018 after the legendary Marvel Comics writer’s death. Hammer was perplexed by the social media posts, sarcastically tweeting at the time that there was “no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself.” While the Golden Globe nominee later apologized for “inadvertently [offending] many who were genuinely grieving the loss of a true icon,” he reversed course in February 2019. “I do not feel badly for the people that I offended who met Stan Lee once and were capitalizing and masking self-promotion as false grief,” he told British GQ at the time. Shutterstock (2) ![]() Hammer grossed out many of his Instagram followers in July 2019 after sharing a video of his then-2-year-old son, Ford, sucking the actor’s toes. “This happened for a solid 7 minutes. #footfetishonfleek,” he captioned the post. Chambers joked from behind the camera that it was “not normal,” though she later assured fans that her “children’s safety and well-being is always our first priority.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() The On the Basis of Sex star was among the celebrities and social media influencers who received backlash in December 2019 for accepting all-expenses-paid trips to Saudi Arabia, which has had a history of human rights violations. The stars documented their stays via Instagram one year after journalist Jamal Khashoggi was assassinated at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Hammer raved that the trip was “truly special” but never publicly responded to the criticism. Shutterstock; Inset: Courtesy of Armie Hammer/Instagram ![]() After several women, including writer Jessica Ciencin Henriquez and model Paige Lorenze, shared disturbing allegations about Hammer’s social media and in-person conduct in January 2021, Us confirmed that he had exited the movie Shotgun Wedding. The California native later told TMZ, “I’m not responding to these bulls--t claims, but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.” Hammer dropped out of two TV series, Gaslit and The Offer, later that month. He moved out of his Los Angeles home in February 2021 after he and Chambers sold the seven-bedroom property for $4.7 million. Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock ![]() Hammer apologized to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe Committee in January 2021 after the Daily Mail published a video from his private Instagram account that showed a lingerie-clad woman in bed, whom he referred to as “Ms. Cayman.” In a statement to the Cayman Compass, he said, “I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman. I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humor may have caused. My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don’t know, and to the entire organization as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman.” S Meddle/ITV/Shutterstock ![]() Effie Angelova claimed during a March 2021 press conference with renowned women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred that the Straight White Men star had “violently raped [her] for over four hours” in L.A. in April 2017. “He repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face,” Angelova alleged, saying she “thought that he was going to kill” her. Hammer’s attorney denied the “outrageous allegations” in a statement, telling Us that the star “has maintained that all of his interactions with Ms. Angelova — and every other sexual partner of his for that matter — have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance.” The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed to Us that it was investigating the alleged incident. Stars Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 in 2022 Posted: 11 Feb 2022 02:19 PM PST The pandemic isn’t over. Just as it did in 2020 and 2021, Hollywood’s A-list continues to be affected by COVID-19 in 2022 — but they largely attribute their fast recoveries to vaccines. In January, Late Night With Seth Meyers only returned from holiday break for one show before suddenly having to go on hiatus amid the omicron variant’s prevalence. “The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!) the good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!),” Seth Meyers wrote via Twitter on January 4. “We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!” Meyers’ fellow NBC late night host Jimmy Fallon revealed a day prior that he’d recently recovered from COVID-19. The Saturday Night Live alum made it clear that he tested negative before returning to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 3. “Hey guys, on the first day of our holiday break I tested positive for Covid,” he captioned a photo via Instagram of himself masked in a room marked “reserved for testing use.” The room was decorated with an iconic Diff’rent Strokes quote, which Fallon appreciated. He continued, “I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work so hard around the clock to get everyone vaxxed. Thank you to NBC for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job – and also thanks for putting me in the ‘What 'chu talkin' about Willis?’ isolation room when they told me the news.” In the comments section, Fallon told a fan that he completely recovered, writing, “The positive came back on 12/18. Back at work today and feeling 100%!” The NBC hosts both advocated for vaccination. As of January, the CDC recommended a booster shot for people over age 16 five months after completing the primary series. Meyers and Fallon each had a booster before testing positive. Similarly, Whoopi Goldberg also had a breakthrough case amid the highly contagious variant’s spread. Her View cohost Joy Behar announced the news on January 3 and said the Sister Act star was expected to be fully recovered within a week. “Why am I here instead of Whoopi? Well, Whoopi, unfortunately, tested positive over the break, but she’ll be back probably next week,” Behar explained. “Since she’s vaxxed and boosted, her symptoms have been very, very, mild. But we’re being super cautious here at The View.” The daytime talk show opted to film remotely for the week in the midst of Goldberg’s positive test. “They say there’s no place like home for the holidays and that’s exactly where we are this year,” Behar said. “Happy New Year from all of our living rooms. As you can see, we’re back in boxes and doing the show remotely — hopefully for just a week. I’m praying that it’s just a week, but you never know because this omicron thing is all over the place.” See the stars who have tested positive for COVID-19 in 2022: ![]() One week after breaking his arm in a bike accident in February 2022, Cowell tested positive for COVID-19. And I was like, is this what your body feels like when you go into shock? My sinuses, my head… I’ve never had this experience before. I’ve never been a fangirl to this extent. Charli XCX Is Stepping Back From Twitter Due to ‘Negativity and Criticism’ Posted: 11 Feb 2022 02:17 PM PST Seeking solace, ASAP! For some celebrities, the best way to find peace is to take a hiatus from cyberspace, where total chaos reigns. Stars including Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian and Sarah Hyland have taken breaks from social media in order to refresh their minds, their mentions and their search history. The “Bad Liar” songstress, who at one point was the most followed person on Instagram, is a huge fan of stepping away from the internet when trolls get her down. "I have not, personally, in two years had any social media on my phone,” she said during an Instagram Live in October 2020. "I use the platform, I make sure I approve and write things I want to write, but I don't look at it and it's not on my phone.” Though the former Disney star had plenty of fans following her, she also had her fair share of haters, who made it difficult for her to enjoy the apps. "I just felt like every day I woke up and I was like, 'Why am I doing this?'" she explained. “These words hurt and they add nothing to my life and the truth is they're lies. So, that is how I handled it, by saying, 'You know what? I'm going to step out of this because I don't think it's helping me at all.'” Even Kardashian, a veritable Instagram queen, has taken brief breaks from the app. After she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October 2016, she didn’t return to her accounts for three months. Since then, the Skims founder has changed how she posts and no longer adds Instagram Stories in real time. “I learned from a bad experience I had when I was robbed that people really knew my every move,” she explained during a New York Times conference in November 2019. “They knew what I had, they knew where I was, what I was doing and that, to me, really changed the things that I post.” Now, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star waits a beat before sharing her life with her fans. “I still want people to feel like they’re on that journey with me,” she said. “But I might video something, then post it 30 minutes later when I’ve left the location, more for privacy.” Keep scrolling to see which celebrities stepped back from social media: ![]() The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star shared that she'd be taking a hiatus from Twitter until at least 2024. "Well, I’ll see you in a few years, Twitter - per my therapist," she tweeted in February 2022. "To my fans, thank you for continuing to love and support someone who wishes they could be a better person for you. I apologize if I ever fell short, in anything I did. You’re in my heart always ❤️." The hiatus announcement came hours after she shared a statement regarding her use of a "blaccent" and African American Vernacular English (AAVE) in the early days of her career. “In life, linguistic acculturation, immigrant acculturation, and the inevitable passage of globalized internet slang all play a factor in the fine line between offense and pop culture," she wrote, in part. "But as a non-black POC, I stand by the fact that I will always listen and work tirelessly to understand the history and context of AAVE, what is deemed appropriate or backwards toward the progress of ANY and EVERY marginalized group. But I must emphasize: To mock, belittle, or to be unkind in any way possible at the expense of others is: Simply. Not. My. Nature. It never has, and it never was.” Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() In January 2022, the musician revealed that after he "unintentionally" took a break from social media, the time allowed him to "just be present" and it "felt great." Shutterstock ![]() The "Havana" singer announced in December 2021 that she planned to take a break from social media after Christmas. "Going on a lil social media detox till the new year!!!!" she wrote via her Instagram Story the day after Christmas. "Just wanna spend a little less time on my phone this week x love y'all." One day earlier, the Fifth Harmony alum wished her mother, Sinuhe Estrabao, happy birthday via Instagram. "You really taught me what love and generosity look like- the most important things in life- kindness, empathy, compassion, taking care of people," she wrote. "You’ve taught me by how you walk and move in this world. I wish you so much fun, laughter, friendship, joy, and deep rest today and always. Happy birthday you Christmas baby!!!!!" Shutterstock ![]() The pop star went dark on Christmas Eve in 2021, deleting her Twitter account. Before she officially signed offline for the holidays, Grande took to Instagram. “Merry :),” she wrote via Instagram Stories. “Be safe. I love you.” Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() The “Treat You Better” singer said he loves his apps a little too much — and that’s why he had to leave TikTok in October 2021. Luckily, he’s just on a little hiatus. “TikTok is great. I have extreme social media addiction, so I have to really balance myself out,” he explained to Audacy at the time. “I have to delete those apps every now and again.” The Canadian confirmed that he is “on a TikTok break right now.” He continued, “But when I have it, it’s everything … I am a child of Vine. They’re different, TikTok is much more advanced.” In December 2021, Mendes told his Instagram followers that he was "having a little bit of a hard time" with social media "at the moment," but he appreciated the love he received for his "I'll Be Okay" single. "I see a lot of TikToks about people crying and getting emotional and stuff, and I hope that's because there's some truth in the song," he said in a video. "I just feel so proud of that song and I feel so grateful that you guys are connecting with it." David Fisher/Shutterstock ![]() Following the birth of her third child, the Party of Five alum took to Instagram in October 2021 to announce she was taking a social media breather. Hewitt said she needed “at least a week, maybe two away” so that she could transition from “scrolling time” to “active time” with her family. The 9-1-1 star explained that being on the apps made her feel “bad” about her postpartum body. “Like I’m not enough. Doing enough. Getting my body back fast enough. Giving enough. All of it,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. Courtesy of Jennifer Love Hewitt/Instagram ![]() The Paramore crooner wrote a lengthy statement via Instagram, announcing her social media pause. “I’ve been on the internet and more specifically, social media, since I was 15. Maybe even younger. It started with the blog sites … then Myspace. Then Paramore became a thing and social media wasn’t even just for my own personal use anymore but it was part of the job,” she wrote in the post. “It has been a useful and mostly beautiful part of the job. I crave connection and the internet is a pretty good tool for that when it’s not tearing us apart.” She continued, “As for my own personal experience with social media, I just don’t want it anymore. I’ve carefully considered this decision for almost a year now. Now I know for sure that my desire to move away from personal accounts (yes, even my finsta) is based on nothing more than my interest in keeping a boundary between a public and a private life and wanting to spend more time looking up and out, rather than down.” Williams added that professional updates moving forward can be found via the band’s account. Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock ![]() The "Video Games" songstress deactivated her social media accounts in September 2021 after sharing a video with fans about why she needed a break from the internet. "Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow, we are going to be deactivating our social media accounts, my social media accounts," Del Rey said in the clip. "And that is simply because I have so many other interests and other jobs I'm doing that require privacy and transparency." She noted that she was still on track to release her eighth studio album, Blue Banisters, in October 2021. "I'm still present and I love what I do," she explained. "And I'm absolutely here for the music, and I'm also just going on some different endeavors. And I want to say thank you so much for all the support, and I do hope you like the record. It's a compilation of older songs and a few newer songs, some written by family and friends and mostly old collaborators, and there will probably always be more to come." Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() "I got rid of Twitter, I got rid of Instagram, I blocked YouTube, that was a big one," the "Solar Power" singer told James Corden in August 2021. "But now my social network is the New York Times cooking app. ... That's become a source of community for me." One month later, the New Zealand native went into more detail about her reason for stepping back from social media in Vogue’s October 2021 cover story. “I think I was known for having my finger on the pulse, so it was actually a huge decision philosophically for me to step back from that. But I started to see the phone as a portal,” Lorde explained. “I can’t keep going through that portal, in the same way that I wouldn’t just take mushrooms all these moments of a day. It’s too deep a tunnel.” She added: “I could sense that it would be very bad for the work and for me if I stayed online. I don’t think I’ve met too many people for whom social media is a net positive. It’s producing crazy chemicals, forming crazy neural pathways that are not rooted in positivity. … But I think we’ve got to be upfront about the things that are making us sick as a society.” PA Images/INSTAR ![]() In August 2021, the model told her followers that she needed some time away from her apps to focus on herself and her health. "On social media, we see what people want us to see. I want you to see that I'm not perfect," she wrote via Instagram. "For a long time, for many reasons, I didn't take my physical and mental health seriously. ... Right now I must prioritize my physical and mental health although I do feel weirdly guilty doing so. It's starting to get a bit scary so if I'm not as present on social media, if I don't meet deadlines, if I don't respond to messages, this is why. I'm sorry to everyone, but for me, I need to take this break to save my energy and use it to heal." "I just have to say right now that the hate in my inbox is not OK," she said in July 2021. "I did not mean anything in any kind of way. I am learning every day, as I think everybody is. And this kind of hate just needs to evaporate from the planet, no matter who it's directed towards. Crocodile tears? No, dude — this is like my soul out there. If you know anything about what I stand for or what I believe in, you know that it's not this." The actress continued, “For my own mental health, I needed to take a step back from social media anyway. But I'm not here to offend or belittle anybody. ... The intention wasn't that serious. I gotta just go off here for a little while. But I appreciate you, I love you and I'll be back. And I hope that I know more, and I hope we all have a little more compassion and understanding." Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() While commemorating the one-year anniversary of her YouTube channel in July 2021, the Captain Marvel star announced that she decided to put her social media project on hold for the moment. “So I did not think that I would hit the one-year mark on this, to be quite honest," she said in a video message to her followers. "I didn’t know how I’d feel putting myself out there weekly in this way. I think some of you know that I started this channel, I started thinking about it before the pandemic, and it was because I needed to just, like, I needed to shake it up. I needed to feel like I could just be silly and normal.” The Oscar winner explained that because film production had resumed more regularly after the coronavirus lockdowns of 2020, she would have less time to spend on her vlog. "I can’t keep up on doing videos weekly," she added. "I’ve got to go back to my job. My first job. My acting job.” YouTube ![]() The Crikey! It's the Irwins star announced she’d be taking a month-long break from the apps in June 2021, almost three months after giving birth to her daughter, Grace Warrior. “I feel tremendously grateful to share our life and conservation work with you but I need some time to focus on the happiness that is my family (both human and animal). You can keep up with our adventures by following my family and Australia Zoo on social media. 💙,” she wrote via Instagram. “Recently, I’ve had many people reaching out to share their own stories of working hard to protect their mental health. Thank you for sharing and speaking your truth. To my friends who are dealing with depression, anxiety and other battles every day — I see you. These issues are very real and deserve to be discussed and addressed. Surround yourself with the light of people who genuinely care about you and will support you during the good times and the hard times. Remember there are helplines available. You are absolutely worthy of love and kindness.” John Salangsang/Shutterstock ![]() The Harley Quinn actress hadn’t been on Instagram for six weeks when she announced that she was officially taking a break in June 2021. “Jumping off social media for the time being - check out @luckychapentertainment if you’re interested in what we’re up to, otherwise ciao for now!” the Aussie revealed via Instagram. "It's different this season. You're right. Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() "I don't even have a Twitter anymore because there was never really a time where I would go on there and it didn't feel like it was a very toxic environment," the model explained during a March 2021 YouTube video featuring psychiatrist Jessica Clemons. "The thought of even opening the app gives me such bad anxiety that I feel like I'm gonna throw up. ... I want everyone to like me, it's like, my downfall at times and I'm working through it. I think one thing I've had to come to the conclusion of is trying not to feel like I owe everybody an explanation or owe anybody anything, and really just try to correct what I need to correct personally behind closed doors." Bengals QB Joe Burrow and Girlfriend Olivia’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 11 Feb 2022 01:55 PM PST College sweethearts! Joe Burrow started dating girlfriend Olivia Holzmacher years before the Cincinnati Bengals played the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. The football player met Holzmacher while attending The Ohio State University. While the pair both kicked off their time as Buckeyes in 2015, they didn't start dating until 2017. "10/10 … 1 being the best," she joked in a caption from the field at Ohio Stadium in August 2017. One year later, they celebrated their first anniversary. "Three hundred sixty five days xoxo," she captioned a black-and-white snap via Instagram in August 2018. Earlier that year, Burrow graduated from OSU early. He subsequently enrolled at Louisiana State University to be the quarterback for the Tigers. "The first chapter was a pretty great one," he wrote in May 2018 via Instagram alongside a series of photos from his three years at OSU. "Now it's time to write the next one." Despite the distance, the pair stayed together, and Holzmacher, who graduated from OSU in 2019, cheered for Burrow as he won the National Championship with LSU in January 2020. Several months later, he was drafted first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL draft. "Tonight a new chapter starts for you!" she gushed on social media at the time. "Thankful to be by your side joe and to be a part of the the past three seasons. I've had the best experiences and met the best people along the way. So excited for what the future holds. Tonight will be once in a lifetime night for you." Fast-forward to 2022 and Burrow is set to appear in his first Super Bowl — and the Bengals’ first Big Game since 1988. "Coming into this week, game prep, it just feels like another week," he told the press in February 2022. "Obviously, it's the Super Bowl and we're gonna have to try to eliminate as many distractions as we can, but it feels normal." Holzmacher, meanwhile, will be cheering him on. Silvio Haart Has 'Not Been Served' Amid Julia's Restraining Order Claims Posted: 11 Feb 2022 01:50 PM PST For Julia Haart and estranged husband Silvio Scaglia Haart, relationship drama doesn’t end with divorce. Us Weekly confirmed that the Russia native filed to end her marriage on February 9, two years after she and the entrepreneur tied the knot. Days later, Page Six reported that Julia submitted a petition for a restraining order against the Fastweb founder, alleging she felt “terrified” of him. “He has routinely berated me, calling me ‘a venomous snake,’ a ‘monster’ and a ‘liar,’ in the presence of third parties and at times, my children. One of [his] favorite epithets is to tell me to ‘go f–k yourself,'” her petition claimed. “In January 2022, I confronted [Silvio] about his abusive behavior and told him that if anyone ever heard how he acts and speaks to me, they would think he is a horrible person. In response, [he] threatened me, stating: ‘If you ever go to the press about how I treat you or the kids, I will kill you.'” Julia alleged that she “experienced severe emotional distress” throughout her relationship and because of Silvio’s supposed verbal abuse. Her daughter Miriam, whom she shares with ex-husband Yosef Hendler, provided a statement of her own, claiming that she once found her mom “crying hysterically” in their home. “I was afraid for her safety and I seriously considered calling the police,” Miriam alleged, per Page Six. “I was terrified that he was hurting her … I ran into the room and found my mother on the bathroom floor, naked, curled up on the floor and sobbing.” Along with Miriam, the My Unorthodox Life star shares Batsheva, Shlomo and Aron with Hendler. The former couple wed when Julia was 19, calling it quits as she left their strict Jewish community. In her petition, Julia alleged that Silvio insulted her youngest son over his religious beliefs. “Recently, on January 23, 2022, [Silvio] came into the bathroom while I was bathing, purple in the face and screaming, ‘I hate your children and I hate this place. … I hate Shabbos [the Sabbath] and I don’t want it in my house.'” The fashion mogul continued: “I have become an emotional wreck for fear of him returning to my home at any time of the day or night. Recently, he summarily and without cause dismissed me from our jointly owned business, cut off my credit cards and made baseless allegations against me.” Ahead of the pair’s split, Julia was made the CEO of Silvio’s model and talent agency, Elite World Group, joking to The New York Times that she was “horrible” to him while they worked together. “But I had a lot of respect for him,” Julia told the outlet in July 2021. “As sheltered as my life had been, his life had been the diametric opposite. He’d been everywhere. He’d seen everything. And when I yelled at him, he took it like a man. That made me happy.” Scroll down for everything to know about the duo’s messy divorce so far: ![]() Speculation swirled in late 2021 that the pair had called it quits, but a source denied the rumors to Us at the time. According to docs obtained by Us, the move "breached a January 19, 2022 agreement between her and Silvio Scaglia," under which the duo signed off on a $250,000 limit on withdrawals "other than to cover a mortgage, rent, and current living expenditures." Silvio is seeking "(a) return of the converted funds; (b) damages for [Julia's] conversion, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty; and (c) a declaration of constructive trust over the $850,000," per the docs. Courtesy of Julia Haart/Instagram ![]() Page Six reported that Julia filed a petition for a restraining order on February 10, alleging that Silvio threatened her life. How Kim Kardashian Is Keeping Her ‘Chin Up’ Amid Kanye West Drama Posted: 11 Feb 2022 01:38 PM PST Rising above it! Kim Kardashian hinted at her drama with her estranged husband, Kanye West, while working out. "Chin up or the crown slips," the 41-year-old reality star wrote via Instagram on Friday, February 11, shortly after the 44-year-old rapper released another diss track. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum showed off her toned physique on Friday in a blue, form-fitting bodysuit while standing front of a fitness machine. She had her hair slicked back and a subtle glow on her face after exercising. ![]() Hours earlier, Kardashian's ongoing drama with West made waves when the Yeezy designer appeared to rap about the Skims founder on the new track, "City of Gods." His collaboration with Alicia Keys, Fivio Foreign and Playboi Carti dropped at midnight and featured a few not-so-subtle references to the mother of his children. (The pair share daughters North, 8, and Chicago, 4, and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2.) At one point in the song, West sings about "losing my lover to the arms of another," while in another verse he touches upon the aftermath of their February 2021 split after nearly seven years of marriage. "This afternoon, a hundred goons pullin' up to SNL (What?) / When I pull up, it's dead on arrival," West raps, seemingly commenting on Kardashian's romance with Pete Davidson, which began after she hosted Saturday Night Live in October 2021. "They act like they love you, they don't even like you / They throw a party, won't even invite you / I seen the same thing happen to Michael / You Black and you rich, they sayin' you psycho (What?), it's like a cycle." The Grammy winner previously threw shade at Davidson, 28, after he and Kardashian made their relationship official in November 2021, with the lyrics in his January release, "My Life Was Never Easy." In the song, which he collaborated on with The Game, West raps, "God saved me from the crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass." Earlier this month, West again turned heads when he publicly slammed Kardashian for letting their eldest child, North, post TikTok videos without his permission. The KKW Beauty founder addressed his comments via her Instagram Story on February 4, writing, "Kanye's constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create." Kardashian, who called herself the "main provider and caregiver" for their kids, added: "Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all." The rapper — who has since deleted all of his Instagram messages about his family's ups and downs — fired back at Kardashian, accusing her of conspiring against him at their daughter Chicago's birthday bash last month. "You put security on me inside of the house to play with my son then accused me of stealing I had to take a drug test after Chicago's party 'cause you accused me of being on drugs," he alleged in one of the posts. The Selfish author, for her part, "wanted nothing more than to coparent amicably and still hopes that can happen eventually," a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, February 9. The insider added, Kim is "trying to keep the peace and create security for her and her kids." |
Why Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Daisy Thinks Dating Gary Would Be 'Stupid' Posted: 11 Feb 2022 01:31 PM PST From costars to pals! Below Deck Sailing Yacht‘s Daisy Kelliher and Gary King fueled romance rumors after a cozy theme park trip — but the pair are strictly platonic. “I honestly got such a kick out of how people were jumping to conclusions when we posted a photo together at Disneyland,” Daisy exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, February 11, while promoting season 3 of the hit Bravo series. “So, our phones were blowing up. He did the joke story being, like, ‘Yeah, we’re dating.’ And no, we are just friends. We’re lucky that we are two adults who can share a kiss and still be friends.” The Ireland native explained that she is too familiar with the first officer for there to be anything romantic going on, saying, “That would be a stupid move to get wrapped up in Gary. I do think we care genuinely a lot about each other. We did last year, we do this year. So, we have a complicated friendship, but no we are not for each other.” Below Deck viewers have witnessed the duo’s ups and downs since the chief stew and Gary joined season 2 of the spinoff series. During the sophomore season, which aired in 2021, the South Africa native found himself caught in a love triangle between Alli Dore and Sydney Zaruba. Daisy and Gary later raised eyebrows when they shared a steamy kiss in the trailer for season 3. “Gary’s a magnet. Like, there’s a reason why he gets all these girls. He’s very, very funny. He’s very charming,” Daisy noted, referring to Gary’s connection with other women on the Parsifal III. “He is very charismatic, and I get it and I normally am drawn to that. Everyone loves a good flirt, and I don’t find him attractive, but I could see the draw. But this season, I think why it got complicated is because we were both a bit upset about how we spoke about each other last season.” Daisy explained that she and her costar made an effort to go “above and beyond” when it came to working together the second time around. “It ended up [with] us, like, flirting and I guess maybe building a bit of sexual tension, which wasn’t our intention,” Daisy told Us. "We retreat[ed]. But I think that’s relationships and that’s the beauty of humans.” ![]() For Daisy, who has remained close to her former costar Alli, watching those flirty moments back may be the most difficult part about the upcoming season. “I did tell [Alli] about the kiss during the show and she took it really well. She has her own family now, [but] I do feel bad. Honestly, I didn’t remember it and my interpretation was that it was very friendly because we are friends,” the stewardess, who has hosted a Below Deck rewatch Instagram show called Pita Party, said. “Looking back, it didn’t look so friendly. So, [Alli and I] haven’t [really] discussed it. We are gonna talk about it because we are gonna recap the show. I guess we’re both just waiting to see.” The Bravo personality clarified that she got “very honest” with Alli about what happened on the boat. “I do feel bad, but from my part, it was very platonic. Because she was there for our complicated relationship last year, I think she does understand,” Daisy told Us. “You’ll see it play out through the season, me and Gary, and for some reason it’s not black and white. It’s very complicated. But Alli is still my girl, and I would never want to hurt her.” Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 returns to Bravo with a supersized premiere on Monday, February 21, at 8 p.m. ET. Smoking Hot! Justin Theroux Wishes Ex Jen Aniston a Happy 53rd Birthday Posted: 11 Feb 2022 01:25 PM PST A romance grounded in friendship. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux called it quits in 2018, but their respectful post-split relationship still makes them #CoupleGoals. The duo first met in 2007 on the set of Tropic Thunder but didn’t start dating until 2011, when they co-starred in the movie Wanderlust alongside Paul Rudd and Kathryn Hahn. “I thought he was so sweet and very nice,” the Friends alum told PopSugar in 2012, recalling the first time she met her future husband. “But I remember thinking he was very dark. At first, you think he could be like a serial killer, but he’s actually the nicest person in the world.” The Mulholland Drive star, for his part, had to quickly learn how to cope with Aniston’s level of fame. Though he was a well-known actor and screenwriter when they started dating, he wasn’t quite as recognizable as the woman who had played Rachel Green for 10 years. “It’s a bit like going to a slightly different altitude,” he told GQ of their relationship in 2013. The pair got engaged in 2012 after one year of dating but waited three years to tie the knot. “We just want to do it when it’s perfect, and we’re not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job,” the Morning Show actress told the Associated Press in July 2013. “And, you know, we already feel married.” When they finally did walk down the aisle in August 2015, they did it exactly their way. The twosome hosted an intimate party at their California home, telling friends and family that they would be celebrating Theroux’s birthday. Instead, guests got to watch the happy couple say their vows. "Marriage makes the small things much smaller and the big things small," the Girl on the Train actor told Rhapsody magazine in July 2017. "You have an ally. It's good to have someone have your back." Less than three years after their wedding, though, the pair decided to end their marriage. "In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation,” they told Us Weekly in a joint statement in February 2018. “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship." While their romance ended, the former partners made good on their promise to maintain a “cherished friendship” and have kept in touch since their split. "Like it or not, we didn't have that dramatic split, and we love each other," Theroux told Esquire in April 2021. "I'm sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship. Team USA’s Dating Histories: Inside the Winter Olympians’ Love Lives Posted: 11 Feb 2022 12:46 PM PST Gold medal love! As Team USA's finest athletes compete in the 2022 Winter Olympics, their loved ones are some of their biggest fans. Shaun White, who competed in his final Winter Olympics in February 2022, has been dating actress Nina Dobrev since 2020. Once White took a spontaneous trip to visit Dobrev on the set of Redeeming Love in South Africa, the X Games medalist knew he found love. "That was actually how we kind of started our relationship," White exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2022. "I was like, 'All right. Yeah. OK.' And she [thought], 'Oh, this guy, he came to play. He's serious.' So that's a thing that we share together. We both enjoy traveling." He added at the time: "I wish I could sum it up into one or two things. It's such a mix of everything. Like our dogs [Maverick and Steve] get along, you know? We have common interests. The way in which we met really kind of strengthened our relationship. And the problems that we do face, they kind of fall away through communication. It's just been great." While the 2022 Olympians' loves were unable to support the athletes in person due to coronavirus protocols, fans like Dobrev (and her dogs!) settled for watching the sports events on TV. "We'll be anxiously watching from home and cheering him on," the Vampire Diaries alum told Us in February 2022. "I'm very, very excited for him. I can't wait. I taped it, so it's at the house, and as soon as I get home, I'm gonna sit down with my girlfriends and we're gonna catch up and watch. … [He's had] such an incredibly long and amazing, successful run of the sport." Dobrev and the Air & Style founder are not the only Winter Olympians to find love. Evan Bates and ice dance partner Madison Chock — whose joint performance helped Team USA clinch a silver medal in the 2022 figure skating team event — not only compete together, they have also been dating since 2017. "We just really fell in love on the ice and grew closer together," Bates — who shares two dogs with Chock — told Us in September 2018, noting that he previously had a crush on her when they were teenagers. "I love her personality. I love her zest for life. You can just see it when she walks into a room." Chock, for her part, told Us at the time: "What don't I love about him? He's so smart. He's one of the smartest people I have had the pleasure of knowing." Scroll below to find out who the Winter Olympians have dated through the years: ![]() Before the professional snowboarder found love with the Love Hard actress, he was previously linked to Westworld’s Summer Spiro, Lindsay Lohan, Bar Refaeli and Sarah Barthel. Us broke the news of White’s romance with Dobrev one month before they made their Instagram debut in May 2020. “What’s been really great is she can snowboard really well because I’m not the best teacher,” the California native told Us in October 2021 of the Degrassi alum. “For some reason, I can do it, but I just have a really hard time explaining it how. I remember our first riding day together, I was like, ‘OK, I’m getting ready for her to be falling,’ and I zipped down the mountain and I turned around. I was like, ‘Oh gosh, I hope she’s OK.’ I’m sitting there for a minute and I was like, ‘Uh-oh. Do I unstrap and walk up? Maybe she fell. I’m the horrible guy that just took off.’ She had passed me during my run somehow. Going way faster than me. She was already waiting at the chairlifts.” Scott Kirkland/Shutterstock ![]() The Colorado native, who previously romanced Mathieu Faivre and Brennan Rubie, has been dating fellow Olympic skier Aleksander Kilde since 2021. “When you look at this picture you can make up so many statements, meanings and thoughts,” the Norwegian athlete paid tribute to his girlfriend via Instagram in February 2022 after her event. “Most of you probably look at it saying: ‘she has lost it,’ ‘she can’t handle the pressure’ or ‘what happened?’… Which makes me frustrated, because all I see is a top athlete doing what a top athlete does! It’s a part of the game and it happens. The pressure we all put on individuals in the sports are enormous, so let’s give the same amount of support back. Mikaela Shiffrin Reflects on 'Disappointment and Heartbreak' at Olympics Posted: 11 Feb 2022 12:02 PM PST Focusing on the positive. After a difficult start at the 2022 Winter Olympics, Mikaela Shiffrin offered a glimpse at how she approached her remaining time at the international sports competition. “The girl who failed … could also fly,” Shiffrin, 26, wrote alongside a compilation of Instagram photos from her time in Beijing, China on Friday, February 11. “It's wonderful to train and compete alongside all of these courageous and incredible women, who have overcome so much in their life, just to get here.” The athlete, who previously won two gold medals at the Olympics, noted that it can “really hurt” to participate in the sporting event. “There's a lot of disappointment and heartbreak going around in the finish area, but there's also a lot of support,” she shared. “And most importantly, every day there are at least a few spectacular and inspirational performances that we all get to witness and admire.” ![]() The Colorado native explained that it was a “rollercoaster ride” that was “a lot to digest” all at once, adding, “Wellllll, guess I better hang on tight to the coaster cause we have plenty still to come. First DH training starts tomorrow!” Shiffrin concluded: “Sending my love to those who are feeling that striking hurt of defeat… only let it beat you down for a little bit, and then you stand up again and throw a few punches back. Shiffrin was disqualified in her first two events at the Winter Olympics after skiing out during the Giant Slalom and Slalom. The professional skier finished ninth at the Super-G event. After the rocky start, retired ski racer Lindsey Vonn offered her support to Shiffrin. "I definitely think there's a lot of emotions, and she's obviously really upset, as she should be," Vonn, 37, told Today on Wednesday, February 9. "If I were her, I wouldn't make any rash decisions. I think she just needs to take a minute and really think and take a deep breath and be around her mother and her boyfriend, her teammates, and just feel the support of everyone and not think the worst.” Earlier this month, Shiffrin addressed the pressure that comes with appearing at the Olympics, telling NBC, "You're expected to win and you're expected to be sort of invincible. That's when the armor cracks, so I'm just going in and like well, I'm just going to take off the armor now because it's not going to do me any good." Shiffrin also opened up about returning to compete following the death of her father, saying, “It's definitely different without him here. It's the place where I feel most connected to him. It's kind of hard to feel that anywhere else.” |
L.A. Rams Coach Sean McVay and Veronika Khomyn’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 11 Feb 2022 11:24 AM PST Win or lose, Veronika Khomyn will always support her "McBae." Sean McVay's fiancée has been by his side as he finds success as the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams. McVay was born in Dayton, Ohio, moving to Georgia during childhood. Glee alum Becca Tobin revealed in her 2020 book, Act Like a Lady — written with her "LadyGang" podcast cohosts Keltie Knight and Jac Vanek — that she dated the future NFL coach when they were in the fifth grade. "His name is Sean McVay. Sean F—KING McVay: the current head coach of the Los Angeles Rams football team, the youngest head coach in NFL history, and the man currently coaching MY local football team," Tobin wrote. "But I'm fine, he's fine, EVERYONE IS FIINE! His face is literally everywhere in Los Angeles, mocking me and reminding me of all my shortcomings and failures. However, I've decided to take it as a cue from the universe to stop running from my past and finally speak my truth." The actress, who married Zach Martin in 2016, revealed that McVay was the only man who ever broke up with her — and he did it through a friend. "He can scream at 250-pound linebackers all day, but he didn't have the courage to tell a seventy-five-pound girl dressed like John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever that he didn't want to go out with her anymore?" she quipped. "But no hard feelings, coach! From the bottom of my cold, half-dead heart, thank you. You really did coach this girl to bounce back and never be dumped again." Minus his elementary school fling with Tobin, McVay has been linked to Khomyn since he was thrust into the spotlight when he became the youngest head coach in NFL history in 2017. And when the Rams take on the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, February 13, she'll be by his side. Justin! Brad! A Timeline of Jennifer Aniston's Dating History Posted: 11 Feb 2022 11:12 AM PST Lucky in life and love! Jennifer Aniston‘s dating life has long been a topic of conversation — from her marriage to Brad Pitt to her relationship with her second husband, Justin Theroux. Aniston and Pitt started dating in 1998 and tied the knot two years later. The twosome saddened fans when they announced their split in 2005 after five years of marriage. At the time, the Friends alum noted that there were “many stages of grief” when it came to their breakup. "It's sad, something coming to an end. It cracks you open, in a way—cracks you open to feeling,” she told Vanity Fair in September 2005. When you try to avoid the pain, it creates greater pain. I'm a human being, having a human experience in front of the world. I wish it weren't in front of the world. I try really hard to rise above it." Shortly after the duo parted ways, Pitt started dating his Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie. The relationship raised eyebrows because the pair met when the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star was still together with Aniston. The Morning Show star, for her part, later got candid about how the rumors affected her, telling Vogue in December 2008. “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.” In 2011, Aniston started dating Theroux after originally meeting four years prior on the set of Tropic Thunder. Although they got engaged the following year, the California native revealed that they weren’t in a rush to walk down the aisle. “We just want to do it when it’s perfect, and we’re not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job,” the actress told the Associated Press in July 2013. “And, you know, we already feel married.” The duo went to have an intimate wedding ceremony at their home in August 2015 after telling their loved ones that they were attending a birthday party for Theroux. Three years later, the couple announced their decision to part ways. "In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation," they said in a joint statement to Us Weekly in February 2018. "This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship." Since the split, the Mulholland Drive actor has spoken highly of his bond with Aniston. "I would say we've remained friends. We don't talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text,” he told Esquire in April 2021. "Like it or not, we didn't have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I'm sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship. We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. Also, she makes me laugh very, very hard. She's a hilarious person. It would be a loss if we weren't in contact, for me personally. And I'd like to think the same for her." The Emmy award winner, for her part, opened up about her positive outlook on her dating life, telling Elle in 2018, “My marriages, they’ve been very successful, in [my] personal opinion. And when they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness didn’t exist within that arrangement anymore.” Scroll down to relive Aniston’s love life over the years: ![]() Aniston and Schlatter sparked romance rumors after they worked on the short-lived 1990 TV adaptation of the John Hughes film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That was just tough.” Ke.Mazur/WireImage ![]() The Object of My Affection costars played it coy about their rumored relationship for many years, but Aniston eventually admitted that the pair were “together when we were, like, 12.” The actors also appeared side by side in the 1998 movie The Newton Boys together, 2012’s Wanderlust and on Friends from 2002 to 2004. Ron Galella ![]() Aniston and the Oscar winner started dating in 1998 and tied the knot in 2000. "You know, she’s great," the True Detective star told Playboy magazine in February 2015. "You like someone and you’re spending time with them; that’s separate and that was all fine. But I really spent most of that time finding ways not to be drawn into the attention." Aniston could also look back on the relationship with nothing but fondness and told Vogue shortly after the breakup, “He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together. And I needed that. And it sort of ran its course.” Clive Brunskill/Getty Images ![]() The British model romanced Aniston briefly in 2007, but their relationship never became serious. “There was no drama,” an insider told Us at the time. “They had a couple of dinners and hung out.” Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images ![]() The singer and actress had an on-again, off-again relationship from April 2008 to March 2009. Following their final split, the “Gravity” crooner admitted on CBS Sunday Morning that he was “just a jerk” while they were dating. And I wouldn’t undo it, man. Because if it had worked out, I would have reaped the benefits. I would be sitting here saying, 'What I have when I go home is the thing I’ve always wanted.'" Friends' Cast's Dating Histories Through the Years Posted: 11 Feb 2022 10:46 AM PST Did the Friends cast ever find their lobsters? Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and more costars had their fair share of high-profile romances since the sitcom catapulted their careers. In 1995, one year after the NBC series premiered, the Morning Show actress began dating Tate Donovan. The pair called it quits three years later, and while they were working through their split, they were given a romantic arc on Friends. “I was just happy to be on the team. The only bummer was Jennifer and I were breaking up at the time,” the O.C. alum exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2018 of his turn as Joshua, one of Rachel Green’s love interests. “And so that was tricky to sort of act, and act like we are just meeting each other, and falling in love, or whatever, interested in each other, when we’re sort of breaking up. That was just tough.” His character only lasted six episodes because it was “really painful” for the exes to appear on screen together. “The people that know that we dated think that we met on Friends,” Donovan joked. “But in fact we had dated for two years before then, and it was over by the time we were on Friends together.” Though he had his ups and downs with Aniston, the Argo star said all six of the main Friends cast “were amazing” to him during his time on the show. “They were fantastic,” he gushed. Donovan isn’t the only one of the Golden Globe winner’s beaus to have appeared on the legendary comedy. Brad Pitt made a brief appearance on Friends in 2001, playing a former high school classmate of Rachel, Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) and Monica Geller (Cox). “Mr. Pitt was wonderful,” Aniston, who was married to the Fight Club star from 2000 to 2005, told Access Hollywood ahead of the May 2021 reunion special. During the highly anticipated HBO Max event, Aniston’s former costars teased her over Pitt’s guest role. “Your fella Brad,” Schwimmer said as the cast reminisced on their favorite moments from the 10 years they worked on Friends. Pitt eventually moved on with Angelina Jolie, from whom he split in 2016 after two years of marriage. Aniston, for her part, got remarried to Justin Theroux in 2015. They called it quits two years later. “I would say we’ve remained friends,” Theroux told Esquire in May 2021. “We don’t talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. Kanye West's Most Outrageous Moments Posted: 11 Feb 2022 10:13 AM PST It ain't easy being Yeezy! Throughout his career, Kanye West hasn't shied away from controversy. In fact, he has a tendency to stir the pot. Whether he's speaking his mind or calling out a fellow celebrity for something he doesn't agree with, West is nothing if not vocal about his beliefs. When it comes to OMG moments, the designer, who shares four children with Kim Kardashian, is often front and center. At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, West left his mark after he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video. The rapper jumped on stage and took over the mic, saying, "I'm going to let you finish," before declaring that Beyoncé "had one of the best videos of all time." A decade later, West stood by his claim, telling Nick Cannon in September 2020 that “If God didn’t want me to run on stage and say, ‘Beyoncé had the best video,’ he wouldn’t have sat me in the front row." In May 2018, the Georgia native shocked fans when he made comments about slavery. "You hear about slavery for 400 years. 400 years? That sounds like a choice," he said during a TMZ Live interview. "Like, that was there for 400 years and it's all of ya'll? It's, like, we're mentally in a prison. I like the word 'prison' because slavery is too direct to the idea of Blacks." West again surprised fans when he made controversial statements about Kardashian and abortion in July 2020 as a part of his first presidential rally campaign. During his South Carolina political appearance, the artist revealed that when the KKW Beauty founder got pregnant with their eldest child, North, the pair almost terminated the pregnancy. "We talked about her not having this child. She had the pills in her hand," he recalled. "I called my wife and she said, 'We're gonna have this baby.' I said, 'We're gonna have this child.'" He followed up the presidential candidate speech with a tweetstorm of accusations directed at his family, claiming, "Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughter's life yesterday." He also called Kris Jenner "Kris Jong-Un" in a since-deleted tweet and told her she was "not allowed around my children." As the drama made headlines, Kardashian publicly addressed the Grammy winner’s mental health struggles and a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the reality star was meeting with lawyers to discuss ending her marriage. In February 2021, Us confirmed that Kardashian filed for divorce after almost seven years of marriage. Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.” Days later, West shared photos from Kardashian's March 2022 Vogue cover story that featured the reality star with the duo's children. “GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER,” he captioned the since-deleted post. Kanye West Slams 'Dismissive' Claims He's Off His Medication Amid Drama Posted: 11 Feb 2022 10:06 AM PST ![]() Not having it. Kanye West responded to social media chatter about his mental health — and he wasn’t pleased about the speculation surrounding his recent behavior. The rapper, 44, shared a screenshot of an Instagram comment reading, “Man’s off the meds album gonna go crazy,” referring to his recently announced Donda 2. “THE WORLD IS RACIST SEXIST HOMOPHOBIC AND CRAZY PHOBIC AT OUR CORE ITS CHEAP AND DISMISSIVE TO SAY IM OFF MY MEDS ANYTIME I SPEAK UP,” the Yeezy designer responded in his caption on Thursday, February 10. “PHOBIA IN THIS SENSE DOESN'T MEAN BEING AFRAID OF IT MEANS NOT GIVING POWER TO LETS BE MORE CONSCIOUS AND NOT WRITE EACH OTHER OFF SO EASILY.” The “Heartless” singer has previously been open about his mental health battles, including the bipolar disorder diagnosis he received in 2016. "If you don't take medication every day to keep you at a certain state, you have a potential to ramp up and it can take you to a point where you can even end up in the hospital,” West told David Letterman in 2019, referencing his own hospitalization three years prior. “And you start acting erratic, as TMZ would put it.” The “Stronger” artist made headlines earlier this week when he shared photos from estranged wife Kim Kardashian‘s Vogue shoot that showed the Skims founder, 41, with the estranged couple’s children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. "GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER," West wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post on Wednesday, February 9. Just days earlier, he publicly bashed the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum for allowing North to use social media. "SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL?" he asked his Instagram followers on February 4. The KKW Beauty mogul responded in her own Instagram post, writing, “Kanye's constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.” One week later, the Grammy winner dropped a new song called “City of Gods” that seemingly references his estranged wife’s romance with Pete Davidson. "This afternoon, a hundred goons pullin' up to SNL (What?) / When I pull up, it's dead on arrival," the musician rapped. "They act like they love you, they don't even like you / They throw a party, won't even invite you / I seen the same thing happen to Michael / You Black and you rich, they sayin' you psycho (What?), it's like a cycle." The producer also threatened to pull out of his planned Coachella appearance if fellow headliner Billie Eilish didn’t apologize for what he believed was a dig at Travis Scott. West replaced the “Sicko Mode” rapper, 30, after the tragedy at Scott’s November 2021 Astroworld music festival that left 10 people dead. "COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES," West wrote via Instagram on Thursday alongside a screenshot of the quote he believed to be about Scott. "NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN'T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM." The Oscar nominee, 20, responded in the comments of West’s Instagram post, writing, "Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan." |
Wendy Williams’ Health and Personal Struggles Through the Years Posted: 11 Feb 2022 09:51 AM PST How she doin'? Through the years, Wendy Williams has made headlines for much more than just her brutally honest opinions and on-air spats with her A-list interviewees. The talk show host, who was once dubbed "New York's Shock Jockette" during her radio days, has found herself face-to-face with numerous health and personal struggles. She was addicted to cocaine for a decade in the beginning of her career, and more recently has battled Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism and other physical ailments. Williams' marriage has also been a hot topic (no pun intended). For years, she has weathered allegations that her now-ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, was living a double life and had been unfaithful to her. After the TV producer welcomed a baby with another woman in March 2019, Williams finally pulled the plug on their 21-year marriage. The former couple finalized their divorce in January 2020. The following year, Williams opened up about where she stood with Hunter, telling Extra, “He calls from time to time. … I don’t block his number though, he’s my son [Kevin Jr.’s] father.” The pair’s ups and downs were explored in Williams’ Lifetime biopic, Wendy Williams: The Movie, which aired in January 2021. A documentary titled Wendy Williams: What a Mess accompanied the movie. While speaking with the Los Angeles Times about the two films, the Masked Singer alum referred to them as a “breakup project.” She explained in January 2021, “I’m 56 years old. My breakup project is not destroying my ex-husband. I don’t regret meeting him. We fell in love almost instantly. We’ve been through a lot. … I have no regrets about marrying him, and I have no regrets about divorcing him.” The New Jersey native asserted at the time that she had “outgrown” the relationship regardless of reported scandals. “That's the best way I can describe it,” she said. “And I’ve accepted my growth as opposed to fighting it.” Williams didn’t want either movie to hold back about her past — even the most troubling parts. Viewers learned that she is the survivor of sexual assault and got a more in-depth look at her struggles with substance abuse. The Dancing With the Stars alum also recalled receiving “endless calls” with supportive messages about her prior miscarriages, which she experienced before welcoming her son in 2000. “You’d be surprised how many women opened up and said, ‘Oh, my gosh, Wendy, that happened to me,'” she told the newspaper. “I would get stopped in the streets. … It really became very soothing for me to feel like my loss was able to help other people not feel embarrassed, not feel ugly or less than a woman.” Take a look back with Us Weekly at some of the Ask Wendy author's personal woes. ![]() In September 2017, the Daily Mail published photos of Hunter hanging out with a woman named Sharina Hudson in New Jersey. The U.K. newspaper claimed that he had purchased a home for the massage therapist just nine miles down the road from the house he shared with Williams. The report further alleged that Hunter and Hudson had been romantically involved for more than 10 years. The next morning, Williams said on The Wendy Williams Show that she will “stand by my guy” and assured viewers not to “believe the hype.” Johnny Nunez/WireImage ![]() The Emmy nominee fainted on air in October 2017 while wearing a Statue of Liberty costume for Halloween. Producers rushed to her rescue when she collapsed to the floor as the broadcast cut to a commercial break. The host returned minutes later, explaining that she simply “overheated in my costume.” ![]() Williams was forced to cancel three episodes of her syndicated show during the week of Valentine’s Day in February 2018 after experiencing flu-like symptoms. She noted on Instagram that she had not taken “a sick day EVER in over 25 years,” and returned as promised the following Monday. Manny Hernandez/Getty Images ![]() The former radio host took three weeks off from The Wendy Williams Show from late February to mid-March 2018 due to issues with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. “Wendy’s doctor prescribed a necessary three weeks of rest to get her levels and medication in sync,” a rep for the show told Us. Paras Griffin/Getty Images ![]() To celebrate her “Be Here” national campaign with The Hunter Foundation, Williams reflected upon her decade-long battle with cocaine addiction during a July 2018 interview. “I was a functioning addict,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “They wouldn’t fire me because I was making ratings. … It’s a miracle I was able to stop.” Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images for Wilhelmina Models ![]() The fashion designer suffered a “hair fracture on my right shoulder” in mid-December 2018, but she soldiered on. She hid her sling under her clothes on air while announcing to viewers, “I don’t need an operation, and I’m not wearing a hard cast. … The show will go on!” ![]() Viewers expressed concern on social media after Williams slurred her words during a December 2018 episode of her show. She acknowledged her behavior was “less than stellar” and explained that she usually tries to avoid taking pain medication. “I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200 percent,” she insisted. Her health complications proved to be too much to handle though, and she repeatedly delayed her return to the show to focus on her well-being. “The struggle of being the main centerpiece of the show, day in and out, while fighting Graves’ disease has been a real battle,” a source told Us before Williams’ March 2019 return. Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images for Vulture Festival ![]() As some skeptics continued to question the status of Williams and Hunter’s marriage, she addressed the speculation head-on. “I want to shout out my husband. I am still wearing my ring,” she said on TV in March 2019. “When you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 … we know each other. He is my best friend, my lover. … I know what you’ve been saying and I know what the streets have been talking about. … I’m still very much in love with my husband.” Lev Radin/Pacific Press/LightRocket via Getty Images ![]() The TV personality revealed in March 2019 that she has been staying at a sober living house and has a 24-hour coach. “When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates. I told you — two hours a day or [so], to take care of my body,” she told viewers. “I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.” Gary Gershoff/WireImage ![]() Hunter made headlines in March 2019 after Page Six reported that Hudson gave birth to his child at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. John Lamparski/WireImage ![]() A source confirmed to Us on April 11, 2019, that Williams filed for divorce from Hunter after more than 21 years of marriage. They finalized the case the following January. Jennifer Graylock/WireImage.com ![]() Williams announced in May 2020 that her talk show was going on hiatus again. “Recently, Wendy has been dealing with symptoms from her Graves’ disease which is causing fatigue. In consultation with her doctor and as a precautionary measure, she will be taking some time off as she continues to receive treatment,” a spokesperson from The Wendy Williams Show said in a statement to Us. Gregory Pace/Shutterstock ![]() In September 2021, the host was forced to delay the start of the 13th season of her show not once, but twice. After testing positive for COVID-19, The Wendy Williams Show announced in a statement at the time that the premiere date would be moved from September 19, 2021, to October 4, 2021, to “allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover.” The announcement came after reports that Williams would be unable to take part in promotion of the season due to “ongoing health issues.” At the end of the month, the show announced via Instagram that the premiere date would again be pushed back to October 18, 2021, explaining that Williams “continues to be under a doctor's care and is still not ready to return to work.” The statement continued that her breakthrough case of coronavirus was “no longer an issue,” but she was still dealing with lingering unspecified health issues. MediaPunch/Shutterstock ![]() In February 2022, Us confirmed that Williams won't be returning to her talk show for the rest of season 13. Amid the news, Williams' bank Wells Fargo referred to her as an “incapacitated person.” According to Page Six, the bank sent a letter to New York Supreme Court Judge Arlene Bluth requesting a hearing on the basis that Williams might need guardianship to help handle her finances. The talk show host's attorney Celeste N. McCaw filed an emergency petition ahead of the bank's statement, claiming Wells Fargo had denied Williams access to her assets.
