Anna Kendrick Loses To Barbie In Staring Contest

Today, we finally find out what inspired the staring contest between legendary children's playmate Barbie and Pitch Perfect singer Anna Kendrick. The duo we didn't realize we needed teamed up to promote Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Homes in a commercial slated for today's Super Bowl game already afoot.

Anna is flustered upon their first meeting because she claims she's loved the doll since she was a kid. The actress gets confused about addressing the icon stumbling between Ma'am, Miss, and Ms. Luckily, Barbie rescues her from her nerve-wracking bumbling and permits Anna to address her on a first-name basis.

Staring Contest: Who Wins?

Anna and Barbie get into an unexpected staring contest, and as you can expect, the doll wins. Her eyes don't move anyways, so we believe it was an unfair competition in the first place. Though we still don't know what prompted the contest, we hope to find out in a few minutes, and we'll be sure to update you.

Barbie Is An Overachiever

It's a challenging world out there with mortgages. Anna feels the heat in the competitive mortgage industry, and she voices that much out. While the actress talks about Rocket Mortgage, the doll subtly brags about her achievements - unnerving Anna.

Below is a transcript of their conversation in the dressing room.

"Anna: I'm glad we're making a Super Bowl commercial for Rocket.

Barbie: Well of course.

Anna: Because the housing market is so competitive right now.

Barbie: Totally, but it's not as competitive as when I was a gymnast, or when I was in the Space race, and don't get me started on competitive bee keepers!"

Anna: Oh, I had no idea."

Tongue Twisting Warm Up

It seems tongue twisters are the in-thing in Hollywood commercials as Barbie practices some of the classics to prepare for her big day. Zendaya's commercial for Squarespace, also airing during the Super Bowl halftime show, plays on the classic tongue-twister "Sally sells seashells by the seashore," and Barbie borrows from her playbook. The doll then adds more twisters like "Pastrami Origami," "What time does the Wristwatch strap shop stop?" and "She sees cheese."

Trailer Size Dispute

We clamor for equity in our daily activities, and so does Barbie. The doll got curious over the clear difference between her trailer size and Anna's, and frankly, we can't fault her. Being a supportive friend, Anna pointed out the "proportional" similarities and extra campfire perk around the doll's pink trailer. It almost sounded like someone was jealousssssss.

Gwen Stefani's Super Bowl Music Fest performance left Shefani fans thirsting for more since she co-headlined with her newly wedded husband, Blake Shelton. The country music stars performed their famed duet Happy Anywhere and Nobody But You, kickstarting Valentine's week with the correct dose of romance.

The best part about the night, though, was that the Grammy award-winning artist didn't over saturate her set with romantic duets - a refreshing choice considering she's an individual force as well. She wowed fans with a team of backup dancers, bands, and costumes such that Blake's modest set almost paled in comparison but for the hit songs he performed! Thank Goodness.

Pre-Show Preparation

Gwen gave her 13 million Instagram followers a taste of what was coming when she shared her pre-show workout plan using Blake's voice as the background vocals. In the short reel, she playfully did jumping jacks, spins, and push-ups to get in the mood for the SBF performance of a lifetime. The singer wore a pink leopard print faux-fur jacket over black and white checkered leggings and bodycon top with a hypnotic black and white background. It appears the theme for 2022 Gwen Stefani is shimmery frills because the black and yellow tiger stripe outfit she wore on the Super Bowl stage resembled the Spotify performance outfit. She wore a short jumpsuit with a corseted bodice and an overlapping cowgirl belt on her shorts, representing her country roots. Then Gwen added a blazer, leggings, and fishnet to her ensemble, completing the outfit making it fit for a superstar. Her backup dancers wore similar clothing in different colors, bringing fun and over-the-top color-popping fashion to the stage.

Happy Anywhere

While their sets were interesting, newlyweds Blake and Gwen won the fans' hearts with their duet. They performed their hit single "Happy anywhere," with Blake strumming his guitar and Gwen belting out the lyrics in a sexy black outfit.

Kendall Jenner received some heat last week over possible body enhancements when a close family friend, Stassie Karanikolaou, a.k.a. Stassie Baby, posted a picture of the pair. The reality RV star's lips looked plump and full, unlike what we're used to seeing, causing fans to react. Her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, already gets a lot of flak for injecting fillers in her lips, and many people used Kendall to compare natural/enhanced body features. So, the possibility of the reality TV star going the same route as her sister had fans and trolls in their feelings.

Kendall's "getting centered," despite the noise going on around her. The 26-year-old seemingly brushes off accusations of her getting lip fillers with this picture of her looking indifferent with a knowing smirk. From the time he arrived in Toronto, Dragic was informed by the Raptors that their focus is the development of their young players. Hours before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, Dragic found himself being included in the trade package that the Raptors sent to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Thaddeus Young, Drew Eubanks, and a 2022 second-round pick.

Lakers & Warriors Emerging As Top Suitors Of Goran Dragic

With the team currently in the initial phase of the rebuilding process, the Spurs are highly unlikely to keep Dragic for the remainder of the 2021-22 NBA season. In a recent article, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN revealed that Dragic and the Spurs are soon expected to reach a buyout agreement and mentioned the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors as top suitors for the veteran point guard's service.

"The San Antonio Spurs and Goran Dragic are expected to negotiate a contract buyout in the coming week, clearing the way for a formidable list of free-agent suitors for Dragic that now includes the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, sources told ESPN."Warriors, Lakers In Need Of Backcourt Depth

It's hardly surprising that the Lakers and the Warriors are interested in adding Dragic to their roster. Both teams are currently in need of an experienced point guard who could serve as a primary backup for Stephen Curry in Golden State and Russell Westbrook in Los Angeles. Dragic may already be on the downside of his career, but he still has plenty of gas left in his tank. Last season, with the Heat, Dragic averaged 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists while shooting 43.2 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Goran Dragic In Good Shape

This season, with the Raptors, Dragic only played five games and averaged 18.0 minutes on the court. However, though he has dealt with numerous injuries in the past, Wojnarowski revealed that his suitors are confident that Dragic is in "excellent condition."

In the past months, the Knicks continue to be linked to several star players who are expected to part ways with their respective teams.

Donovan Mitchell To Knicks

One of the superstars who could potentially join the Knicks in the 2022 NBA offseason is All-Stat shooting guard Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz. Mitchell and the Jazz may be currently focused on fully dominating the Western Conference and winning the 2022 NBA championship title, but there are growing speculations about Donovan's unhappiness in Utah. According to Ric Bucher of Fox Sports, an Eastern Conference scout said that Mitchell would strongly consider leaving the Jazz for the Knicks if Utah suffers a first-round exit in the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

Drama Surrounding Jazz Worsens

Acquiring Mitchell in the 2022 NBA offseason is indeed a possibility for the Knicks. If Mitchell expresses his desire to leave Utah, the Jazz would be left with no choice but to listen to offers for him on the trade market. However, though they were mentioned as one of his preferred landing spots, the Knicks would still need to make a huge sacrifice to bring Mitchell to New York. Targeting a player of his caliber would come with a huge price.

To convince the Jazz to engage in a blockbuster deal, the Knicks may need to offer a trade package that includes one of RJ Barrett and Julius Randle, together with multiple future first-round picks.

She topped off the risqué look with a bible quote on the caption, which caused mixed reactions from followers. Some thought it was distasteful, while others praised her for her allure.

In the photo, the queen of pop is wearing a corset-like outfit paired with a leather jacket and tall platform leather boots. She amped up the edginess by styling it with fishnet stockings, black gloves, and a leather conductor hat.

Censored By Instagram

This isn't the first time Madonna ruffled some feathers with her provocative Instagram photos. Even the platform has tried to censor her by removing photos that violate IG's rules.

Last year, Madonna's photos were taken down because a small portion of her nipple could be seen. The artist, who proclaims she is here to "disturb the peace", fought back by reposting the photos, along with a lengthy statement about sexism, ageism, and misogyny.

Not one to back down from censorship, Madonna made sure to share her disappointment with her followers.

According to her, women's nipples shouldn't be sexualized because it is an important part of the female anatomy that nourishes the baby.
