Miley Cyrus Hilariously Tweets About Her Notorious Bong-Smoking Video

It's been 11 years since Miley Cyrus' notorious bong-smoking video came out, and the 29-year old Plastic Hearts singer can laugh and joke about it now. It wasn't always that way, though. Back in December 2010, Cyrus received tons of backlash after the viral footage was leaked, showing her smoking the hallucinogenic drug salvia.

It happened inside the Hannah Montana star's L.A. home five days after she turned 18. In the video, the then-teen starlet could be seen giggling while saying that she was "having a little bit of a bad trip."

The Fallout

While Cyrus seemed to be having the time of her life that night, the fallout that came after was anything but fun. She lost a Walmart deal because of the incident, and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus also got in on the issue by tweeting an apology and his disapproval of her daughter's behavior. "Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now," he said.

Regrets

In an interview with Marie Claire in February 2011, the Wrecking Ball singer addressed the issue, saying, "I'm not perfect ... I made a mistake ... I'm disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans ..." When the reporter said that a lot of college kids were doing the same thing (and even worse), the teen star replied, "But they're not Miley Cyrus. They're not role models. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for."

11th Anniversary Tweet

Eleven years after the viral incident that nearly wrecked her image, Cyrus is no longer as serious about the whole thing. She recently reminisced about it in a lighthearted way, sending out a tweet on November 29 that showed a screengrab from the video with the caption, "11 years ago. Can we petition for a national holiday?" The Disney Channel alum has completely shed her formerly wholesome and sweet image so it's no surprise that she can joke about the incident now.

Reflecting On The Incident

Last year, she sent out an equally funny – though a tad more introspective – tweet about the infamous footage that included a half-minute clip and the caption "Happy 10 year anniversary to the groundbreaking video of a teenager smoking a bong & saying dumb sh*t to their friends. (Not so sure the director of this fine film should be considered a "friend" but....)" Later, she added, "Time really flew by. I remember this like it was yesterday..... J/K I don't remember sh-t cause I was f---ed the hell up. #YesItWasReallySalvia #IfYouFindWeedThatDoesThisToYouSHARE"

Alexandra Daddario has delivered another flawless look. The 35-year-old actress continues to make headlines for upping her designer game - while early fall brought her in luxury Italian label Versace, it was another designer she shouted out in an Instagram share posted just today.

The White Lotus star, this year invited to high-profile events up the wazoo, is fresh from shouting out The Hollywood Reporter, where accompanying photos showed her in a thigh-skimming white minidress from Carolina Herrera. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photos, ones placing Daddario on a swish outdoor terrace and amid lawns and fall leaves. Looking positively angelic, the Baywatch bombshell posed in white high heels, with the footwear matching a classic, duo-structured, and A-Line minidress in white. Boasting puffy sleeves and a classic feel, the dress showed off the actress' killer legs, with a deep red lip contrasting the whites.

Daddario made fans swipe, though. Her opening shot came close up as it showed off blue eyeshadow.

One man has Daddario's heart, though. Earlier this month, the blue-eyed beauty announced her engagement to producer boyfriend Andrew Form. Sharing a selfie of herself in a red bikini top and with the 52-year-old, she gushed: "The absolutely most wonderful man, you handle nonsense, loss, life, difficulty, people, with grace and compassion." Praising Form for making "wall space" for her deceased dog - whom he's never met - Daddario continued:

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star looked impeccable in leggy photos shared to her Instagram this week, one marking her red carpet appearance and big-time bringing in the fans.

Nothing says holidays and "I love you" like matching pajamas and sweatshirts or, in this case, PANTSUITS! Oscar nominee Jonah Hill and his surfer girlfriend Sarah Brady made their first couple appearances twinning in Gucci. Did someone say swoon?

In a pastel pantsuit and matching teal slippers, the dreamy couple stormed the Don't Look Up premiere. Even their hair colors matched in bleached blonde, where can we order a partner and a twin set outfit for Christmas?

Not Enough Twinning

The premiere isn't the first time Hill and Brady wore twinning outfits. The couple wore matching green sweaters on Nov. 5. Brady shared the picture with her 49,000 plus Instagram followers saying, "We're that annoying mushy gushy couple that wears matching outfits all the time cause we think we're cute together. #sorrynotsorry"

Her boyfriend replied in agreement with, "Nothing annoying about being stoked! Love matching with you." Seriously, are you sure we can't order a partner via mail? The twin bug bit again during Halloween, this time in Minions style. Hill is notorious for his laidback fashion style, so this 180 in Gucci surprised us. He'd switched up his style in doses this past year - we didn't see suave Jonah coming. Though he decked out in Gucci, Jonah ditched the shirt and waistcoat to tease us with a half-view of his chest tat.

We're not complaining, though, since our good old Hill is still in there. You can put the man in designer, but you can't take the chill from him. Even in his pose, Hill has one hand in his pocket, with one leg forward and leaning a little back to give that relaxed aura.

One of the things we love about Jonah is his self-expression through art – on and off-screen. After giving us an eyeful of his bold chest tattoo in his Gucci two-piece, Hill decided he wanted more ink! After his premiere, the 21 Jump Street actor visited a tattoo parlor in New York City to add to his collection. The new additions are two dolphins and a palm tree, and we suspect they're a tribute to his lady love, who's a surfer.

Euphoria Star Alanna Ubach Joins Kaley Cuoco's Flight Attendant for Season 2

Alanna Ubach is joining the cast of The Flight Attendant for season two.

In November, a report from Digital Spy confirmed the news, revealing that the series announced Ubach had been brought aboard for season two.

In addition to recently appearing as Suze on the Zendaya-led HBO series, Euphoria, Ubach has been seen in a number of television series, including Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, See Dad Run, Monsters at Work, Men of a Certain Age, Hung, and Welcome to the Wayne (via IMDb).

Many New Faces

As fans may know, just as Euphoria has been a hit for HBO, The Flight Attendant, a mystery thriller led by Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco, has gained popularity on HBO Max.

As Digital Spy explained, The Flight Attendant has been a hot topic in recent weeks as new castings and behind the scenes photos have been shared.

As Ubach takes on the role of Carol Atkinson alongside Cuoco, who plays the role of Cassie Bowden, she'll be joined by a number of other actors and actresses, including Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines, 30 Rock cast member Margaret Cho, Better Call Saul's Jessie Ennis, and 24 actress Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Returning Stars

Grey's Anatomy star TR Knight, Black Mirror's Yasha Jackson, and Small Time actress Audrey Grace will also be featured on the second season of The Flight Attendant after first nabbing roles on the series ahead of season one, which premiered in 2020.

While Ubach ultimately landed the role of Suze in Euphoria, she actually auditioned for the role of Rue's mom before Zendaya was cast as Rue. During an interview with Brief Take in July 2020, Ubach looked back on the switcheroo that took place amid pre-production on the series.

Wanted to Be the 'Lush' In 'Euphoria'

Speaking to Brief Take, Ubach said that after reading through the entire script of the pilot episode of Euphoria, she learned the network was very excited to be welcoming Zendaya to the series.

"And I thought, 'Well it's not going to be believable to play her mom, but are there any other roles in this…oooohhh, how about, this is interesting, I like the lush,'" Ubach recalled. "She reminds me very much of all of the mothers with whom I fell in love when I was a teenager because they were lenient on all my friends."

Personal Connection To The Character

"I was jealous of the fact that they didn't have curfews and was jealous of the fact that we could get drunk at their house, as long as we weren't driving. She didn't have any rules or regulations, a single mom, but then years go by and then in retrospect, you look back and think: 'Oh, that woman was actually quite neglectful and probably clinically depressed, right?'" Ubach joked.

The Flight Attendant season 2 is expected to begin airing sometime in 2022.

Is Ariana Grande 'Asianfishing' On The Voice?

"Catfishing," "Blackfishing," and now "Asianfishing," the list is endless. Fans are calling out the award-winning pop singer for "asianfishing," again! When the singer posted pictures from a recent photo shoot on her Instagram page, she had no idea it would blow up negatively.

Ariana Grande posted up for her 280 million followers, wearing an oversized olive green blazer and a white neck scarf with her hair tied back. The "7 rings" singer didn't realize her post would meet such backlash that she had to take it down. This isn't the first time people have called Grande out on "fishing" of any kind.

What Is Asianfishing?

Asianfishing is a variation of Catfishing and Blackfishing, which means pretending to be someone else on social media for gain. This case refers to looking like an Asian to curry favor from the Asian race. Wanna Thompson, a Canadian journalist, coined the term "blackfishing" in 2018 to describe people (often celebrities) of other races (usually Caucasian) who dress like Black people.

Some fans are accusing Ariana Grande of altering her facial features with plastic surgery to look like an Asian woman. Others insist she's manipulating the lighting and camera angles of her pictures. There's a minority that insists it's a makeup thing.

A Second Warning

This scenario isn't Ariana's first rodeo in the cultural appropriation field. When she dropped her critically acclaimed video "7 rings", which has one billion YouTube views, in 2018, fans noticed Grande spotting a new tattoo written in Japanese. She intended to spell out "7 Rings" but ended up misspelling it as "Shicrin," meaning "barbecue grill."

Unfortunately, the pop star made it worse in her attempt to correct the error. She has since updated the tattoo under the supervision of a Japanese expert.

Oli London Approves

UK-based non-binary influencer who uses they/them pronouns, Oli London, contributed two cents to this scandal. They welcomed Grande to the "Transracial Club" calling her "so cute and Oriental." London themself is "transracial" and very open about their cosmetic surgery to look like K-Pop group BTS' Jimin.

They further gush about becoming "King and Queen of Korea together already." London's comments seemed to fuel the fire of the plastic surgery rumors concerning Grande.

Was Ariana “Blackfishing”?

In 2018, when the "Side to Side" singer dropped the visuals for her single "7 rings," fans accused her of blackfishing. The video and music deviated from Grande's typical ballads as she delivered her twist on trap music alongside Nicki Minaj. Watch the Video below.

Who better to honor during a 1990s themed singing competition that Britney Spears? In the mid-90s, the pop queen burst onto the scene with "Baby One More Time" and continuously released new music as the decade continued and beyond.

Although some might assume that there is some rivalry between the 40-year-old singing sensation and her younger counterparts, including 28-year-old Ariana Grande, that certainly wasn't the case earlier this week, when Grande chose to channel Spears' style on NBC's The Voice.

Britney Wore The Look In 1999

On December 7, Yahoo! News revealed that Grande took to the stage on Monday night's episode of The Voice wearing a pink tube top with white pants and her hair pulled back into a ponytail.

While some might not have recognized the look, others were reminded of a July 1999 concert at the Universal Ampitheater in Universal City, California, where Spears donned a nearly identical look while performing hits during a concert.

"We love the 90's Britney nostalgia !!" one person wrote on Instagram.

Ariana Showed Off The Look On Instagram

"Coo coo cachooo mrs. robinson see you soon," Grande wrote in a caption of a video of herself wearing the look on Instagram.

While Grande's fans and followers flooded her post with complimentary messages, she eventually limited the comments she was allowing on the post, which means that people can no longer share their thoughts on the post.

Luckily, as the night continued, another image of Grande's look was shared on the Instagram page of The Voice, which featured her posing with her cast mates.

Fans Caught On

While standing next to Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend, Grande smiled and wrapped her arm around Clarkson, who was wearing a leopard-print dress, black coat, and choker.

After coming across the post, one follower of The Voice's Instagram page said that they saw similarities between Grande's outfit and one worn by Spears years ago at one of her concerts.

"Ariana's outfit here looks like something Britney Spears wore at one of her old concerts #britneyvibes," they said in a comment.

Ariana Grande's Look Got Mixed Reviews

After reading what the first fan wrote in the comments section of The Voice's Instagram post, another person pointed out that Grande seemed to be uncomfortable in the look.

"She kept fighting with the pant all the time," they said.

"I always get that Britney vibe from her," another noted.

NBA Rumors: Spurs Could Acquire Ben Simmons For Dejounte Murray, Devin Vassell & Doug McDermott

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons is currently one of the hottest commodities on the trade market. Despite his shooting woes, the former No. 1 pick continues to receive interest from aspiring contenders that need additional star power and rebuilding teams that want to speed up their timeline. However, the Sixers' high asking price is making it harder for them to immediately put an end to the drama surrounding their disgruntled superstar.

If they are willing to lower their demand, it wouldn't take long before the Sixers find Simmons a new home this season.

Ben Simmons To San Antonio Spurs

One of the rebuilding teams that have expressed interest in acquiring Simmons is the San Antonio Spurs. In a recent article, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report created a list of trades that will fix struggling contenders in the 2021-22 NBA season. For the Sixers, it's the hypothetical blockbuster deal that would send Simmons to the Spurs before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

In the proposed trade scenario, the Spurs would be offering Dejounte Murray, Devin Vassell, and Doug McDermott to the Sixers in exchange for Simmons.

Spurs Build Around Ben Simmons

For the Spurs, the proposed trade deal would give them the centerpiece of the next title-contending team that they will try to build in San Antonio. Simmons may have gone through plenty of ups and downs in the past years but compared to all the young players on the Spurs' roster, he's more capable of becoming the face of the franchise.

"As for the Spurs, this would be about conceding that there isn't a franchise talent on the roster and wanting Simmons to fill that void," Buckley wrote. "San Antonio should see enough openings in its long-term blueprint to be intrigued by the idea of building around Simmons. On a roster that hides his shooting shortcomings and emphasizes his athletic strengths, he could shine in ways he never has in Philly. And that's saying something for a player three All-Star selections and one All-NBA honor on his resume."

Ben Simmons Boosts Spurs On Both Ends

Simmons would be an intriguing addition to the Spurs. Aside from giving them a new face of the franchise, he would also provide them with a new focal point on the offensive end of the floor and an elite defender. Though he still has some major flaws in his offensive game, Simmons is a reliable scorer, rebounder, playmaker, and lockdown defender.

Last season, Simmons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 55.7 percent from the field. Being traded to the Spurs would also benefit Simmons. Playing under Coach Gregg Popovich, who is regarded as one of the best coaches of all time, could help him return to the right path to becoming a legitimate superstar in the league.

Sixers Prepare To Make A Deep Playoff Run

Though they won't get an All-Star in return, the proposed blockbuster trade with the Spurs would still help the Sixers become a more competitive team in the Eastern Conference this season. By sending Simmons to San Antonio, the Spurs would be receiving an immediate replacement for him at the starting point guard position in Murray.

Murray is currently establishing an impressive performance this season. In 23 games he played, he's averaging 18.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 2.0 steals while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from beyond the arc, per ESPN. Aside from Murray, the Spurs would also get two solid role players in Vassell and McDermott. Vassell would give the Sixers a three-and-D wingman, while McDermott would provide them with a veteran sniper and an off-ball cutter.

Opening Doors For Black Creatives

In the interview, Zendaya said she has a specific goal in mind - to open doors for other black creatives.

"We always have this concept that there can only be one, right? And when you get to the door, you wanna close the door because there's like this one slot. We have to change that mentality because otherwise, how are the opportunities gonna happen?" Zendaya explained.

"When you see creatives who are able to open doors and open opportunities and allow for other creatives to come in, that's a beautiful thing."

Black Beauty Homage

"I wanna be able to continue to get to that point where I can do that and I'm still kind of working to it.." Zendaya continued.

The 25-year-old superstar also expressed thanks to the other "black beauties" that came before her, sharing that she worked with stylist Luxury Law to pay homage to black models who paved the way.

Zendaya is referring to the collection she did with Tommy Hilfiger in 2019, which was inspired a lot by black culture. She casted all black models for the fashion show and pioneering icons Veronica Webb, Beverly Johnson and Pat Cleveland walked the runway.

Love Story About Two Black Girls

Aside from celebrating black women, Zendaya also wants to celebrate love between two black girls.

In a separate interview, she has said she wants to create "a simple love story about two Black girls."

"I don't want it to be rooted in anything other than just a story about two people falling in love and that's it. Something simple and beautiful, that leaves you happy and wanting to fall in love yourself," Zendaya explained.

Zendaya In Euphoria

Zendaya's idea may have been inspired by her character in Euphoria, where she plays Rue, a troubled teen in a complicated relationship with a trans girl.
