Ben Affleck: My Kids' Opinions of Me Are the Only Ones That Matter

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 02:30 PM PST

Amicable as ever! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been coparenting pros since announcing their split in June 2015.

The exes, who share Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, haven't shied away from addressing their family life and close friendship. "Ben and Jen have immense love and respect for one another," a source exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2018. "They still coparent together and that will always come first. He will always be supportive of any decision she makes and ultimately just wants her to be happy."

The pair met in the summer of 2001 and got married in June 2005. They announced their split in June 2015 via a joint statement, reading, "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to coparenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

Their divorce was finalized in October 2018.

Affleck made headlines in February 2020 when he admitted that his failed marriage to Garner was "the biggest regret of my life." He even grew emotional recalling that he "didn't want to get divorced" or "be a split family with my children."

Amid his frank confessions about the breakup, a source revealed to Us that their coparenting relationship is "always a work in progress," despite how friendly they seem. "Things come up between them, but they are committed to doing the best they can for the kids," the insider said. "They stay on top of things and have a lot of meetings and check-ins. They want to be the best parents they can for the kids. If they have differences, they keep it to themselves and don't let it have an impact. They always put on happy faces for the kids and put their well-being first."

An insider told Us in May 2020 that Garner and Affleck "have worked hard to get in a good place with each other."

Scroll down to revisit their most heartfelt quotes since ending their 10-year marriage.

“I am a giant fan of Jennifer. She’s just a fabulous person. She’s just a wonderful person,” the Gone Girl star told CBS This Morning in March 2016. “She’s a great mother. She’s a real talent. She has set such a good example and a lead that I follow. She’s somebody that I admire and respect and remain excellent friends with.” Stav/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

“Jen is a superhero mom,” Affleck gushed to E! News in March 2016. “She is an amazing mother and I’m really lucky to have her as a partner to coparent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that’s what we do.” Bauer-Griffin/GC Images
March 2016
The 13 Going on 30 star opened up about her divorce in a candid interview with Vanity Fair in March 2016. “I didn’t marry the big, fat movie star. I married him and I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him and I would again. You can’t have three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous,” she raved. “He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow. … It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy. The main thing is these kids — and we’re completely inline with what we hope for them.” Jason Merritt/Getty Images

“Looking back on that, I really feel the stress of it. I really — I could cry talking about it,” Garner admitted on CBS Sunday Morning about the end of her marriage playing out in the public eye. “What I think I’ve learned is that the scrutiny in your private life puts a pressure to make something happen. You feel a pressure to hurry up and get married, ‘cause you think that’ll end the, ‘Are they engaged? Are they not?’ And that’s true in reverse, as well. If you are — if there is any inkling of trouble, or if the tabloids decide there’s trouble, it can create trouble. But to be honest, public scrutiny, everyone says, ‘Oh, you’ve had to go through this in public.’ The public isn’t what’s hard. What’s hard is going through it.”  CBS

Affleck told Hoda Kotb that he “of course” still loves Garner in March 2019. “She’s wonderful. Somebody’s the mother of your kids, they’re going to be the most important, central person in your life, and that’s good,” he said.  NBC News/NBC'S TODAY

“The biggest regret of my life is this divorce,” Affleck told The New York Times in February 2020. “Shame is really toxic. There is no positive byproduct of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing.” Jason Szenes/EPA/Shutterstock
February 2020
Affleck got candid about how his substance abuse impacted his split from Garner during an interview on Good Morning America in February 2020. “I never thought that I was gonna get divorced. I didn’t want to get divorced. I didn’t want to be a divorced person. I really didn’t want to be a split family with my children,” he told Diane Sawyer. “And it upset me because it meant I wasn’t who I thought I was. And that was so painful and so disappointing in myself. … Divorce is very painful and alcoholism is very painful. They just are.” He continued: “If there’s something that your child is suffering, that’s a level of pain that is not easily gotten past, not easily forgiven, not easily forgotten. And it’s hard. You’re not going to avoid causing your kids pain, all pain. Pain is part of life. I take some comfort in that.” Sawyer also read a note that the actor wrote about Garner at the end of the interview, which read, “What I want to say publicly and privately is, “Thank you. Thank you for being thoughtful, considerate, responsible, and a great mom and person.” GMA

Garner initially told Vanity Fair in February 2016 that she had “lost the dream of dancing with [her] husband at [her] daughter’s wedding” following her divorce. However, five years later, she signaled that things had changed. “When our kids get married, we’ll dance, I know that now,” she said in a Hollywood Reporter cover story. “We’ll boogaloo and have a great time. I don’t worry about that anymore.” Broadimage/Shutterstock

During an interview with Howard Stern, Affleck said that he and his ex-wife mutually decided to end their marriage, despite what reports at the time may have indicated. "The truth was, we took our time, we made a decision, we grew apart," the actor explained. "We had a marriage that did not work. This happens. It is somebody I love and respect, but to whom I should not be married any longer." Despite the fact that their romantic relationship ended, the director said the pair still maintained "respect" for one another. "Did we have moments of tension? Did we have disagreements over the custody? Was stuff difficult for us? Did we get angry? Yes," he continued. "But fundamentally it was always underpinned with respect. I knew she was a good mom. I hope that she knew that I was a good dad. I was. I had to get sober — I knew that too — and I acknowledged that. I said, 'You're right. I've got to quit drinking.'" Shutterstock (2)

Holiday Spirit! Stars Who Are Great at Gift-Giving

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 01:30 PM PST

What makes a great gift? It all depends on who you ask. For stars such as Kylie Jenner and Kanye West, more is definitely more.

Money is no object for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum and the rap mogul, who shower their friends and family members with extravagant goods.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder has given everything from a Ferrari to Louis Vuitton handbags to those in her inner circle. The Yeezy designer, for his part, has donated $1 million to his then-wife Kim Kardashian's favorite charity in honor of her birthday and also had a one-of-a-kind Hermès Birkin bag hand-painted for her.

The KKW Beauty founder's 40th birthday celebration in October 2020, proved that Kardashian is also a great gift giver. The Skims founder flew her closest friends and family to a private island for a week of festivities and fun activities, including dancing, bike riding, movies on the beach and big dinner.

"I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now," she wrote via Instagram, referencing the coronavirus pandemic quarantine restrictions at the time. "So in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40."

Others, such as Once Upon a Time alum Josh Dallas and musician Stevie Nicks, have shown their love and admiration for their nearest and dearest with inexpensive-yet-personal presents straight from the heart.

"I have this incredible book that Stevie Nicks gave me in 2013 when my boyfriend [Cory Monteith] died," Lea Michele told Billboard in January 2017. "She gave me this art book of hers that she put notes in over the years and song lyrics, and then she rewrote personal notes for me that say things like, 'Keep singing, and have faith.'"

Taylor Swift has also become a gifting guru, sending special presents to her new mom friends over the years.

The "Lover" singer hand-embroidered a blanket for Katy Perry's first child, daughter Daisy Dove in September 2020. "Hope it's one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager," Perry captioned a photo of the sweet gift.

Scroll through to see which Hollywood A-listers know how to nail it when it comes to finding just the right thing for any gift-giving occasion!

I think I want to do that for them this Christmas [because] it’s cool and different. "My husband was actually born in East Berlin, and I've been there many, many times. Obviously, I love Germany. This is where I'm from, even though I've been [in the United States] longer than I've been in Germany. So he gave this to me for my birthday." Klum said the gift now sits in her garden, adding, "I loved it. It's beautiful. Marvel Stars Who Dated Each Other

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 01:00 PM PST

Marvel movies aren’t exactly known for sweeping romantic moments, but there are a handful of iconic couples who manage to keep love alive while saving the world: Pepper Potts and Tony Stark, for example, or Vision and Wanda Maximoff.

The film and TV empire also boasts a few off-screen love matches too, though many of them happened before the Marvel Cinematic Universe was firmly established. Before Iron Man kicked off Phase 1 in 2008, there was 2003’s Daredevil, starring Ben Affleck as blind superhero Matt Murdock.

The movie wasn’t a critical hit, but it was the place where the Argo director fell in love with Jennifer Garner, who played Elektra. The former couple first met while filming 2000’s Pearl Harbor, but the Oscar winner later said that they didn’t really hit it off until 2002 when they were filming Daredevil.

“That's where I found my wife," he told Playboy of the movie in 2013. The duo tied the knot in June 2005 and were married for 10 years before calling it quits. The twosome share three children: daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.

Another real-life Marvel couple met before either party was ever involved in one of the beloved comic-book movies. Three years before she took on the role of Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson started dating Ryan Reynolds, who would later play Marvel antihero Deadpool. The duo were wed from 2008 to 2011.

Reynolds, for his part, went on to marry Blake Lively, who he actually did meet on the set of a comic-book movie: Green Lantern (which is DC, not Marvel).

"I met Blake on the darkest crease in the anus of the universe called Green Lantern,” the Free Guy star joked during a July 2021 episode of the “SmartLess” podcast. “We were friends and buddies, and about a year and a half later, we went on a double date, but we were dating separate people."

After taking a train ride to Boston together, their fate was sealed. Once Reynolds realized that his friendship with Lively could evolve into something more, he said it was like “one of those silly moments out of a fairy tale.”

After one year of dating, the couple tied the knot in September 2012. The pair share three daughters: Inez, James, and Betty. “They are the most capable people I know,” the Canada native told Access of his wife and kids in November 2020. “So I think if anything got crazy or scary in my life, they are the first people I would lean on because they have wisdom and strength and they're calm under fire.”

Holland shared a photo of him and Zendaya for her birthday in September 2021, marking their first shared photo since they were outed as a couple. The snap was liked over 19 million times. "It's crazy, but something we try not to think about all that much," Holland said of the response in a December 2021 interview with PA Media. "You know, we're here to do a job, we're here to promote a movie that we love and we're proud of, and we're very lucky that we have fans that are so supportive and so invested in our lives." He added that Zendaya approves everything he posts, revealing, "We're very careful with how much of our personal lives we share, so everything is something that goes through, not planning, but, like, you're like, 'Hey, can I post this?' And you're like, 'Let me just have a look.'" Eric Charbonneau/Shutterstock

Hollywood Hits Pause on Filming, Tours and More Over COVID-19: See the List

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 12:55 PM PST

The coronavirus outbreak, which hit the U.S. in early 2020, has had major implications on the well-being of all humans — and it's continuing to have a major impact on Hollywood.

Movies, including Mission: Impossible 7 and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Red Notice, paused production and sent casts and crews home amid the initial breakout. Films such as James Bond's No Time to Die, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mulan have either postponed or canceled their China runs altogether in last year. According to a February 2020 report from Business Insider, the outbreak could result in more than $1 billion of lost revenue for the film industry.

"There are so many moving parts and implications, not just for movie theaters but for public spaces in general," Comscore senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian told Business Insider at the time. "The uncertainty is the one thing that is certain. At the end of the year, box-office numbers, particularly regarding China, are going to have an asterisk."

The rapid spread of the virus also resulted in the cancellation of music events and shut down production on several TV shows. Green Day and BTS were among the musical acts who were forced to pushback tour dates in Asia in 2020. Talk shows initially filmed episodes without TV audiences, but later opted to shut down for weeks before gradually making a return to hosting live audiences. The Amazing Race pumped the brakes on its shoot, while filming of Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette was delayed until the summer of 2020.

As global safety regulations have slightly lessened, the industry began the process of returning to semi-normalcy with caution. The Batman returned to set in London in September 2020 after closing up shop six months prior, but production briefly shut down for the second time after star Robert Pattinson reportedly contracted coronavirus.

Casts from Grey's Anatomy, The Conners, Mom, Riverdale and Supernatural have also made their way back to set. Meanwhile, talk shows such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Kelly Clarkson Show have utilized virtual audiences to make their return a bit smoother before bringing back fans.

Some movies made it into theaters across the world in late 2020 and early 2021, but restrictions are still in place within the entertainment industry as the COVID-19 crisis continues.

"When shooting during a pandemic, you have to connect with your costars in different ways," Reese Witherspoon joked via Instagram in September 2021, sharing photos of herself wearing a face shield and posing with photos of her Morning Show costar Jennifer Aniston.

We’ll continue to monitor and assess this situation closely to make the best decisions for our families first and then our businesses. We’re a resilient nation who ultimately, will always rise to the occasion to be accountable and work together to overcome whatever hardship lies in front of us. So, nothing official, but it's probably highly unlikely at this point that we could pull this off.” The Bachelorette resumed production in July at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California, and the season set to premiere on October 13. Brutally Honest! Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom Critique Each Other’s Style

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 11:40 AM PST

A teenage dream! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's high-profile relationship, which started in January 2016, has included a dance-off, a nude paddleboarding session, a meeting with the pope and just about everything in between.

The singer and the actor dated from January 2016 to March 2017 before briefly calling it quits. They were officially back together by February 2018, and one year later, he proposed on Valentine's Day.

While the duo had big plans for their nuptials, they were forced to postpone first in late 2019 because of a problem with the location and then again in early 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Amid their ever-changing wedding plans, Perry announced in March 2020 that she was expecting their first child — a baby girl.

"Well, it wasn't an accident," she told SiriusXM's Mikey Piff at the time. "I'm so grateful for everything that I have been able to do and achieve, all the goals I've been able to check off my list, the life I've lived thus far. I've just been trying to create this space in my own life where I'm not running myself too ragged and creating space for something new to happen like this."

Perry added that she and Bloom were "both looking forward to this new interval of life and sharing this."

Their daughter, Daisy Dove, arrived in August 2020.

The California native revealed the secret to her relationship with the Brit in September 2019, while also showering her beau with compliments. "He is the kindest soul. He is the kindest man I've ever met," she gushed during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "He shows up and he's such an encouragement spiritually, emotionally and physically. I do not care to work out and he's like, 'Let's go work out! Let's go do hot yoga!' That's kind of our love language is all things spiritual and working out."

Bloom, for his part, raved to The Sunday Times in March 2020 that Perry is "very surprising." He elaborated: "She's witty and smart and intelligent. She's charismatic, but she's direct too, and this dynamic was intriguing to me."

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 11:35 AM PST

The novel coronavirus has made its rounds worldwide after first emerging in the Wuhan, Hubei, province in China in December 2019 — and today's biggest stars are not immune.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were among the first high-profile names to test positive for COVID-19. On March 11, 2020, the Academy Award winner shared the symptoms the couple experienced during their time in Australia, where Hanks was working on pre-production for Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley biopic.

"We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches," the Forrest Gump actor said of he and Wilson. "Rita had some chills that came and went."

On March 16, 2020, Us Weekly confirmed that Hanks and Wilson were released from the hospital. The pair, who have been married for 30 years, rented a home in Australia before flying back to the U.S.

Nearly a week after Hanks and Wilson's diagnosis was confirmed, Idris Elba announced that he contracted the virus as well. He revealed via Twitter on Monday that he decided to get tested after learning that an individual he was in contact with tested positive on March 13, 2020.

The day after speaking out, the English actor shared that Hanks' confession inspired him to speak about his own condition. "I'm really proud of Tom Hanks, who is also someone in the public eye who came out and said they have it and has been public about it," the Cats actor said in a Twitter livestream video. "I was really motivated by Tom's move there."

‘Tis the Season! Best Celebrity Holiday Cards of 2021: Photos

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 11:20 AM PST

Sending Christmas wishes! Tori Spelling, Ashley Tisdale and Melissa Joan Hart are among the group of celebrities who got into the holiday spirit this year by sending out festive cards.

"This year has been so exciting for our growing family, and I can't wait to spread the joy we feel with our new @minted Holiday cards!" Tisdale wrote via Instagram in November, kicking off the season with a sneak peek at her 2021 custom cards by Minted.

The Young & Hungry executive producer — who welcomed her first child, daughter Jupiter, in March — noted how "happy" she is to "have this milestone documented as a keepsake" in the form of a card for years to come.

Spelling, on the other hand, raised a few eyebrows with her photo choice for her family's annual Christmas card.

The Troop Beverly Hills actress unveiled her Christmas picture via a sponsored Instagram post in November. The snap included Spelling with her and husband Dean McDermott's five children: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau. The Slasher actor, however, was nowhere to be seen.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that even the sweet message on the Simply to Impress card didn't give McDermott a shout-out.

"With Love, from our farm to your home! Xoxo, Tori & Family," the inscription read as the group smiled amongst their farm animals.

Spelling previously sparked divorce rumors earlier in the year after she was seen without her wedding ring during the summer. She was later spotted outside an attorney's office in October with papers that read "support" and "custody," fueling split speculation.

However, the California native insisted that McDermott's absence in the holiday card was due to his busy work schedule. When one fan joked that the Canada native "must be 'working' out of town" to have missed the photo shoot, Spelling replied, "@imdeanmcdermott was filming his new feature film in Canada."

While Spelling's card caused a stir among her fans, other stars, including Kyle Richards and Ashley Iaconetti, chose to keep things simple with their festive fliers.

The Marvel star and the model tied the knot in 2010 after less than a year of dating. Two years later, they became a family of three with the birth of their daughter, India, in May 2012.

Prior to welcoming their baby girl, Pataky accompanied her husband on the red carpet for The Avengers' U.K. premiere, where he sweetly rubbed her baby bump.

She’s so proud of Chris and he’s proud of her,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They are an adorable family already!”

Less than two years later, the family grew even more when they welcomed twin boys, Tristan and Sasha, in March 2014. The following year, the Extraction actor noted that watching the Spain native take on motherhood caused him to fall even deeper in love with her.

“Once we had kids we were like, ‘We’re in it, this is it.’ All of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids," he told WHO magazine. "She certainly keeps me sane. I complain about things, she gets on with it.”

Amid the coronavirus pandemic in May 2020, Hemsworth shared that he'd always struggled to balance his career with other things that were important to him.

"I've spent probably 15 years in what felt like a marathon, a constant workload," he told GQ Australia at the time. "So much of my energy has been geared toward that, and then having kids at the same time, I've been constantly trying to find the balance. … For a little while, you don't think the kids notice and then you realize they do."

The Star Trek actor continued: "I absolutely want to continue to make films that I'm proud of, but that can also wait. Now what's more important is my kids are at an age I don't want to miss. And I'd hate to look back in 20 years and go, 'Right, let's get to work as a parent,' and I've missed it all."

Chris Noth’s Sexual Assault Allegations: Everything to Know

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 10:38 AM PST

Less than one week after Chris Noth made headlines regarding his brief return to the anticipated Sex and the City revival, he has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women.

Shortly after the HBO Max premiere of And Just Like That, two women came forward in December 2021 with claims that the Equalizer alum had previously assaulted them.

One of the alleged victims, who went by the moniker of Zoe in a Hollywood Reporter profile, claimed that the actor "raped her from behind" in 2004 after they met during a high-profile Los Angeles event.

Zoe, who was 22 at the time, claimed that the Wisconsin native flirted with her before inviting her to his West Hollywood apartment. There, Zoe claimed that he kissed and assaulted her, even laughing when she asked him to wear a "condom" amid the "painful" experience.

"I realized there was blood on my shirt. I got out of there. I went to my friend's apartment [in the same building]," Zoe allegedly recalled to the outlet, noting that she later went to the hospital. "I had stitches. Two police officers came. I wouldn't say who it was."

A second woman, Lily, also accused him of misconduct in the THR report after the pair met while she was working at a New York City nightclub in 2015. She claimed that the actor invited her back to his apartment after a night of drinking.

"He said marriage is a sham. Monogamy is not real," Lily claimed, revealing that the next thing she knew was that Noth "was having sex with me from the back in a chair. We were in front of a mirror. I was kind of crying as it happened. … I went to the bathroom and put on my skirt. I was feeling awful. Totally violated. All of my dreams with this star I loved for years were gone."

One day later, a third alleged victim came forward, telling the Daily Beast that she was sexually assaulted by the Golden Globe nominee while working as a hostess and lounge singer at New York's Da Marino restaurant in 2010 when she was 18.

"At first, it felt as though I was the only person in the universe who could hear me saying no," the woman, who is referred to as Ava, recalled to the newspaper, claiming that her limbs hurt the next morning. "He wasn't hearing 'no,' but he heard me when I said 'not here' and convinced him that I would meet him somewhere else."

Amid the allegations, the Good Wife alum has continually denied the claims.

"The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false," Noth told Us Weekly via a statement at the time. "These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."

Following the recent headlines, Noth — who has been married to Tara Wilson since 2012  —  had been dropped by his talent management firm, A3 Artists Agency. Additionally, Noth's collaboration with Peloton following his SATC character's death has since been scrubbed from the fitness company's social media.

"Every single sexual assault accusation must be taken seriously. We were unaware of these allegations when we featured Chris Noth in our response to HBO's reboot," Peloton, who teamed up with Ryan Reynolds for the commercial, told Us via a statement shortly after the news broke. "As we seek to learn more, we have stopped promoting this video and archived related social posts."

Has His Work Been Affected?

Have There Been More Allegations?
One day after the THR article was published, a third allegation was made via a Daily Beast report. The third alleged victim told the newspaper that she was initially starstruck upon meeting Noth: “I remember how electrifying his hand, the hand I watched hold Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, felt grabbing me.” After their encounter, she instead found him “sloppy,” “heavy” and “strong.” Andy Kropa/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Former Costars Weigh In
Amid the scandal, Zoe Lister-Jones publicly called out her former costar via an Instagram statement.
“Last week, my friend asked me how I felt about Mr. Big’s death on And Just Like That, and I said, honestly I felt relieved,” the Life in Pieces alum wrote via social media. "He asked why and I told him it was because I couldn’t separate the actor from the man, and the man is a sexual predator. My friend was alarmed at my word choice. And to be honest so was I. … On the few occasions he would show up, he was consistently sexually inappropriate with a fellow female promoter. That same year I was a guest star on Law and Order and it was his first episode returning as a detective after SATC. He was drunk on set.” She further alleged, “In one take he got close to me, sniffed my neck, and whispered, ‘You smell good.’ I didn’t say anything. My friend at the club never said anything. It’s so rare that we do.”

Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge’s Relationship Timeline

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 09:00 AM PST

Relationship bliss! Following her high profile relationship with Scott Disick, Sofia Richie has had a more low-key approach to her romance with Elliot Grainge.

Richie and Disick started dating in 2017 following his breakup from Kourtney Kardashian. The model and the Talentless cofounder broke up briefly in March 2020 before getting back together two months later. The twosome called it quits for good in August 2020 following tension with Kardashian.

According to a source, Disick was the one who decided to end the relationship.

“Friends attributed their 15-year age difference becoming an issue,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly at the time. “[Scott’s] in a very much different place in his life, really focused on a more quiet lifestyle, his kids and his investment businesses and Sofia … is really still trying to figure what she wants to do, which drove them apart over time.”

One month later, a second source noted that Richie’s family “think[s] she is way better off without [Scott].”

“She has been separating herself from the equation and it has been the healthy thing for her and her family,” the insider added at the time.

The New York native, who shares son Mason, daughter Penelope and son Reign with the reality star, later admitted that Richie was feeling “neglected” due to his close connection with the Poosh founder.

"I think people come into our lives and think it's maybe easier than they think … to be with you or with me. But it's very true that we do come with a lot of baggage. And it's definitely not easy that we see each other, work together and are friends," Disick told the California native during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in March 2021. "The truth is, anybody dating somebody is going to feel neglected when their significant other is spending more time with their ex than with them."

Richie, for her part, sparked dating rumors with Grainge after they were spotted together in January. They confirmed their relationship two months later and another insider detailed how their friendship turned into more over time.

"They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious. Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together,” the source shared with Us in April. "He's super sweet and a really cool guy — her friends and family approve!"

Jeff Garlin Allegedly Joked About 'Goldbergs' Future, Claims He Hated Production Days Before Show Exit

Another new development? Following the recent headlines that Jeff Garlin would exit The Goldbergs amid its ninth season, he apparently had a few choice words about the prospect of being fired.

Shocking TV Exits Through the Years

Before it was announced that the Curb Your Enthusiasm alum, 59, would leave the long-running ABC sitcom in the middle of the season amid an HR investigation into his behavior, he allegedly complained about the working environment, according to Variety.

During a November 24 stand-up comedy performance in Los Angeles, a reporter for the outlet attended the show, noting that most of the set focused on "how much he hated The Goldbergs." At the time, Garlin allegedly told the Hollywood Improv audience — repeatedly — that he "despised" the comedy and did not want to discuss it further, claiming he was only involved for the paycheck.

During the performance, Garlin allegedly addressed the recent HR investigation into his behavior, noting that he was "fed up" with ABC, claiming that the network didn't approve of his on-set commentary, including the use of the word "vagina" while speaking with his fellow employees. The actor, for his part, asserted it was meant as a tongue-in-cheek comment.

It was previously announced on Thursday, December 16, that Garlin would exit the series shortly after an investigation into his working behavior made headlines.

"No, I was not fired from The Goldbergs. I have not been fired from The Goldbergs," the Babylon actor told Vanity Fair earlier this month following speculation that he allegedly engaged in a "pattern of verbal and physical conduct that made people uncomfortable."

At the time, Garlin claimed, "There was no… Nothing physical by any stretch of the imagination. And the verbal part was a joke that was completely missed — because I like this guy. I like his wife. I've worked with them for years. How I suddenly wake up one day and I don't like them — I don't get that. I will say the joke was missed and I apologize to him. If someone misses a joke, that's unfortunate to me. I don't like it."

While the Illinois native continually asserted that "there is no story" about an alleged misconduct incident, he did confirm that the network had investigated his behavior for three years.

"If I said something silly and offensive, and I'm working at an insurance company, I think it's a different situation," Garlin told the magazine. "If I, as the star of the show, demanded a gun range and on set, and I was firing guns every day and I was a little bit loose — to me, that's an unsafe work atmosphere. If I threatened people, that's an unsafe work atmosphere. None of that goes on ever with me. That's not who I am. I am sorry to tell you that there really is no big story. Unless you want to do a story about political correctness."

The Arrested Development alum has appeared as Murray Goldberg in nearly 200 episodes of the ABC series since its 2013 premiere before telling Vanity Fair that he had no intention of leaving the show.

"We're trying to come to a place where we come to an agreement," Garlin told investigative reporter Maureen Ryan at the time. "Either I can behave the way [they want] or not. We'll see, but I'm not being fired and I've not been fired. We're in the middle of talking about what we're going to do, but there will not be a firing. I will work more on The Goldbergs, just to let you know, I'm in contact with Sony. I will be shooting more days on the show. When I do shoot more days, just to make it go smooth, I will not be doing any of my silly stuff or anything, out of respect. I'm just going to keep it on the QT, because you know why? They're my bosses. And they have every right to have the set be the way they want."

Amid the investigation, Sony — who produces the series — previously addressed the complaints via a statement.

"The well-being of our cast and crew is of utmost importance to us," a spokesperson for the production company told People in December. "This is an employment matter and it is being addressed by HR and production."

Shortly after the news broke, Noth — who signed with the talent management firm several months earlier — had been accused of misconduct by an alleged third victim. The woman, who is described as a tech executive, claimed that she was sexually assaulted by the Equalizer alum while working as a hostess and lounge singer at New York's Da Marino restaurant in 2010, according to a Friday report in the Daily BeastShe claimed that was 18 at the time of the alleged attack while Noth was 55.

A Complete Timeline of Brad Pitt's Star-Studded Dating History

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 06:04 AM PST

Brad Pitt is considered one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors — and he has the lengthy list of former flames to prove it.

The Hollywood superstar may not have caught the public's eye until starring as a cowboy hitchhiker in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise, but his handsome features and irresistible charm were already a staple in the industry dating pool long before then.

In 1984, Pitt was linked to British-American singer Sinitta, whom he dated off and on for two years. The "Love and Affection" singer later revealed during a stint on the U.K.'s I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here that the young Pitt was "beautiful with the most amazing body” and "very sweet" while they were together.

Following a series of brief relationships with costars from his guest appearances on TV shows like Dallas and Head of the Class, the Inglourious Basterds star popped the question to Cutting Class actress Jill Schoelen in 1989. Their engagement lasted only eight months before Schoelen reportedly found a new man while shooting a movie in Hungary.

Nearly 10 years later, Pitt was engaged once again — this time to Se7en costar Gwyneth Paltrow. The two were viewed as Hollywood's next It Couple before calling it quits in 1997. In 2015, Paltrow opened up to Howard Stern about the "devastating" end of her relationship with Pitt. “I was such a kid," the Politician star said at the time. "I wasn’t ready, and he was too good for me.”

After a brief stint with actress Claire Forlani, Pitt was set up on a blind date with Jennifer Aniston in 1998. The two quickly hit it off and were dubbed Hollywood's latest golden couple. The Morning Show star tied the knot with Pitt in 2000, and her man made a guest appearance on Friends the following year. Although Aniston had revealed hopes of starting a family with the Fight Club star, their union ended before they had the chance.

In January 2005, the couple formally announced their separation. "We would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any speculation reported by the tabloid media,” the pair said at the time. Their divorce was finalized nine months later.

Aniston wasn’t the last woman to steal Pitt’s heart. After meeting on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004, the actor struck up a romance with his costar Angelina Jolie. Pitt eventually adopted Jolie’s kids, Zahara and Maddox, in 2006 before welcoming daughter Shiloh the same year. The couple also share adopted children Pax, Vivienne and Knox. All of their kids accompanied Jolie and Pitt to their dreamy French wedding in 2014. Two years later, the beloved couple split.

Supermodel Nina Agdal: A Day in My Life!

Posted: 18 Dec 2021 05:00 AM PST

Nina Agdal‘s daily routine is a lot more relatable than some might think! The supermodel, 29, enjoys some self-care before focusing on her work and personal obligations.

Every morning, the Denmark-born star takes time out to do a workout on her The Agdal Method app. "It includes everything from full-body cardio to specific [exercises] for abs or legs," she exclusively says in the new issue of Us Weekly.

The app is focused on "happiness in movement, fulfillment in nourishment, practicing mindfulness and self-love," according to its official Instagram page.

"I like to follow my workouts with a facial, or sometimes a new treatment from FaceGym," the Victoria's Secret model tells Us.

After getting her glow on — and working hard — Agdal likes to unwind with group dinners and special events, such as her Friendsgiving celebration in November.

"It's time to have fun," she says of the holidays, noting she partnered with Belvedere Vodka to host her own party. "I even created my own cocktail, the Holiday Honey, using Belvedere's new organic infusions flavors!"

Agdal previously spoke about the inspiration behind her The Agdal Method app and overall healthy lifestyle, telling W Magazine in July, "I wanted to create The Agdal Method to start spreading the word that it's not about how long you spend in the gym, going to a workout for 60 minutes and torturing yourself, or only drinking green juices and eating lettuce."

The wellness guru, who launched her app in March 2020, noted that everyone's life circumstances have to be taken into consideration.

"What's going on in your personal life, and your relationships, your finances, has to do with what's going on your plate and how much exercise you're getting in on a weekly basis," she said.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model explained that the idea of a "hot girl summer" or a "summer body" can be "extremely triggering" for many and only hurts one's chances at achieving a healthier body long term.

"[Those terms] put pressure on us to get in shape for the season coming up, and that's extremely hard on our mental health and our self-esteem," Agdal continued. "I really believe in finding something that can be a lifestyle and a healthy habit that makes you happy."

Who Works the Hardest? Jason Oppenheim Tells ‘Selling Sunset’ Secrets

Posted: 17 Dec 2021 05:00 PM PST

What it's really like! While faithful Selling Sunset fans only see a portion of the Oppenheim Group agents' career and personal lives on the Netflix series, Jason Oppenheim is opening up about some behind-the-scenes set secrets — including whether or not they are actually all in the office together.

Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim's Most Honest Quotes About Their Relationship

"Every single person [in the office] is not often, usually it’s just subsets of people," the Oppenheim Group cofounder, 44, exclusively told Us Weekly in November. "[Because], you know, chances of every single woman not doing a showing or listing or an open house or working from home or something like that is — out of, like, 15 people — is pretty unlikely, but sometimes. I'm probably in the office the most, and then it's just, you know, Mary [Fitzgerald] and Chrishell [Stause], Emma [Hernan] and Nicole [Young], who's not on the show, but they're in here a lot, and then it totally varies. My brother's [Brett Oppenheim] in."

The University of California, Berkeley alum also noted that, despite being surrounded by strong women on the Netflix series, he works with several other male agents, too. (One of whom, Peter Cornell, made headlines earlier this month after Us revealed he had dated both Christine Quinn and the Emma Leigh & Co founder, 30.)

"There are more female agents in the office than male agents, but there are male agents," Jason explained to Us. "And then in the Orange County office, it’s probably, like, 50/50. So, I think you’ll see more of a gender mix in Orange County."

Not only does the California-based real estate agency feature a diverse range of employees, but the former attorney couldn't but gush over everyone's work ethic.

"I mean, Mary works really hard, sometimes, like, too hard on small deals," Jason revealed. "I'm like, 'Take it easy.' Chrishell works really hard. Yeah, I’d say Mary, Chrishell and Emma. But I mean, I can’t rank the full [team]. … I'm not surprised how well [Emma] did [as a show newcomer], but I’m very happy with how she did on camera [and] off camera. I mean, she’s a very impressive woman."

The fourth season of the reality series — which premiered on the streaming platform in November — introduced the Oppenheim associates to two new hires: Hernan and Vanessa Villela. While most of the OG stars were quick to embrace the newbies, the Massachusetts native soon found herself embroiled in a feud with the How to Be a Boss Bitch author, 33, after the realization that the pair both romanced the same man.

"It did come to my attention to some degree," Jason previously admitted to Us that he was aware of the drama between the women before taping season 4. "It was not a complete surprise to me, each [woman's] respective opinions and stories on all that whole situation. It was not a complete surprise to me, but definitely, I learned some things watching the show actually."

Inside Lindsay Lohan and Fiance Bader Shammas’ Private Romance: Pics

Posted: 17 Dec 2021 04:00 PM PST

Forever kind of love! Lindsay Lohan surprised fans when she announced her engagement to Bader Shammas in November 2021 — after keeping their relationship very private for two years.

The Mean Girls star was first linked to the businessman in 2019 after relocating to Dubai five years prior. Lohan opened up about what her dream man looked like in 2019 but didn't say whether she had already found someone who fit the bill.

"I want to date a guy that's a businessman — doesn't have Instagram, doesn't have social media, and is completely off the grid in terms of that kind of stuff," the Georgia Rules actress told Howard Stern at the time. "I think it will happen when it's meant to happen."

It wasn't until February 2020 that Lohan shared a photo of her man via social media. "Such a magical night," she wrote alongside a snap of her, Shammas and a group of their friends. The photo has since been deleted.

Two months later, the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen star's mom, Dina Lohan, confirmed to Us Weekly that Lindsay was in a solid place romantically.

The "Listen to Me, The OG Mama D With Dina Lohan and Chanel Omari" podcast host exclusively told Us that Lindsay was dating a "wonderful guy," but noted that she was in "no rush" for her daughter to settle down.

Lindsay, who was previously engaged to Russian businessman Egor Tarabasov from 2016 to 2017, officially debuted her relationship with Shammas in November 2021. At the time, she revealed that he had popped the question and she said yes.

"My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love 💍," she captioned a series of photos of the couple smiling. The Life Size actress also showed off her Harry Winston diamond ring in the blissful snaps.

Her brother Dakota Lohan was quick to respond to the happy news, writing, "My best friends!!!" The model later reshared his sister engagement photos via his Instagram Story, captioning them, "I'm not crying, you're crying."

Katie Thurston Regrets Her ‘12 Days of Messy’: I Wouldn’t Do It Again

Bachelorette's Katie Thurston Debuts New Extensions — and They Look Amazing
ABC/Andrew Eccles

Regrets? Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston has a few — including her recent "12 Days of Messy" challenge, which was meant as a loving gesture toward her new boyfriend, John Hersey, not a diss against her ex-fiancé, Blake Moynes.

Bachelor Nation's Katie Thurston and John Hersey's Relationship Timeline

Read article

Last month, Thurston, 30, reminisced about the contestants on her season of The Bachelorette, which aired earlier this year, by assigning each of them a song off of Taylor Swift's new album, Red (Taylor's Version).

The Bachelor season 25 alum kicked things off on November 11 by dedicating "We Are Never Getting Back Together" to Moynes, 31, before poking fun at her other former suitors including Aaron Clancy, James Bonsall and Mike Planeta.

She celebrated the final day of the challenge by teasing a new romance with former contestant Hersey, 27, who she had sent home during week two of her season, which started filming in March.

However, in a Thursday, December 16, Instagram Live video via Hersey’s account, Thurston said that she regretted her decision to put the list out into the world knowing how much backlash it received.

"If I could go back in time and not do the '12 Days of Messy,' I would not, to be honest," the Washington native said.

After talking to former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin who unfollowed her after she threw shade at her boyfriend, Thomas Jacobs, she learned a lot about how people perceived what she thought was a harmless joke.

"What I'm learning is, I can view things in my way … like light and funny [but] there's everyone's own personal experience," she said via Instagram Live.

The most disappointing response Thurston got from the "12 Days of Messy" video though was from those who couldn't believe she was dating Hersey.

"What I didn't like was the amount of people who thought there was no way John and I could have a connection," the TV personality explained. "That John is so friend zoned."

"I loved that," Hersey chimed in as he sat next to her during the Instagram Live. "That was so hilarious."

Thurston, however, didn't see the humor in it, telling her followers that her intention was "to really show that, like, to me, John is my world. John is handsome, John's romantic, John is everything. I wanted to make a big grand gesture to show that."

The reality TV star was criticized for moving on so quickly after ending her engagement with Moynes in October — but Thurston doesn't think that's fair.

"Look, [John and I] talked about that. We talked about giving Blake a heads up," she explained on Thursday. "But here's the thing that I think people forget … we're just normal people trying to live normal lives. When have you ever had to tell an ex that you're seeing someone new? And how would you tell them that?"

Thurston wonders whether she would have received less online hate if she had told Moynes — but it was never her intention to hurt her former fiancé.

"All I know is, in the moment [I did the '12 Days of Messy'] I was, and am still, the happiest I've been," Thurston said. "I wanted to make a big grand statement about where I'm at and who I'm with. That's all I can do is live my truth, live my happiness and, you know, people who want to be there and support us, great. If you don't, that's fine, too."

At the People's Choice Awards on December 7, Thurston exclusively told Us Weekly that she was in the "honeymoon phase" with Hersey.

"We're good, really," she said of the status of her relationship with the 27-year-old bartender. "It's very easy to just enjoy and live my life — and that's kind of what we're doing. We're not holding back for anybody."

For his part, Moynes has hinted that he's ready to start dating again — but isn't all that interested in a certain red flower.

"Hey, I'm alllll for people coming to say hi!" he wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, December 14. "But let's leave the roses out of it – those things just stress me out now lolll 🥀."

Celebs Visit Disney Theme Parks

Posted: 17 Dec 2021 12:10 PM PST

The love for Disney Parks is universal! Celebrities are just as obsessed with Disney World and Disneyland as anyone else — and these photos prove it.

When Hollywood's most famous wish upon a star, they just might end up at one of Mickey Mouse's theme parks. However, some celebs have been making trips to Cinderella's castle long before they were well known.

"I grew up in Orange County, so I grew up going to Disneyland all the time," Milo Ventimiglia explained during a February 2018 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, noting that he spent an eventful 12th birthday at the park. "Growing up at Disneyland, I mean, it was one of those places that you'd go and you'd fall in love, but you'd also like go and like get in real trouble."

Drew Barrymore experienced something most parents are familiar with when she took her daughters — Olive and Frankie, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman — to Disney World. The actress noted that her kids were on "a big puffy princess cloud" … until they weren't.

"If you've ever taken your kid to Disneyland or Disney World, it all ends at some point in mayhem," she admitted on Late Night With Seth Meyers in February 2017. "That is a legitimate picture of my daughter just losing it on the floor." The image she showed had her little one experiencing a full-on tantrum while dressed up like a fairytale character.

The pattern repeated itself during another visit. "This is her losing it at Disneyland — because it all ends up there," Barrymore said. "You push it enough because you're like, 'I'm here! Let's skip the nap! Let's go, go, go!' You want to maximize it. This is how it always ends for me."

On the other hand, some stars worry their children won't enjoy Disney as much as they do. "We've gone to [Disneyland] probably a bit more than is healthy," Ginnifer Goodwin admitted to Disney Twenty-Three in February 2016.

The Once Upon a Time alum and husband Josh Dallas' son Oliver is set to follow in her footsteps, but the actress still has her doubts. "He cries when we take him away from the characters instead of what most toddlers do, which is cry when the characters come to them," she elaborated. "I have a couple deep, dark fears about childbearing — like they won't love Disneyland because I'll oversaturate them."

However, kids aren't the only ones who love riding Space Mountain again and again. Ryan Gosling has admitted he's a full-on Disney adult. The former Mouseketeer told Esquire in August 2011 that he "went through puberty in a theme park."

While that might sound like a bad thing, the Remember the Titans actor admitted it was "grateful," telling the magazine, "That place was a landscape to me. I had adventures every day. … Backstage at Disney World, there are stories. Mickey Mouse with his head off, drinking coffee on break. Pirates on the phone. Ghosts in line for food. It just made me see things.”

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 17 Dec 2021 12:03 PM PST

Sorry, Beliebers — there’s only one girl Justin Bieber has eyes for! After facing plenty of ups and downs in their relationship, the heartthrob finally sealed the deal with Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin), and the pair have been going strong ever since.

The couple tied the knot in September 2018 at a New York City courthouse and held a second, more traditional ceremony with friends and family in South Carolina a year later. Two years before tying the knot privately, the “One Less Lonely Girl” crooner predicted that he might have found The One.

“What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged,” he told GQ in the magazine’s March 2016 cover story. “It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard. … I just don't want to hurt her.”

The pair separated as Justin rekindled his on-off relationship with Selena Gomez in late 2017, but they found their way back to each other in June 2018 during a cozy vacation in Miami. One month later, the pop star confirmed that he and the model were engaged.

“Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else.”

One month before their courthouse wedding, an insider told Us Weekly that Hailey was a positive influence in the Grammy winner’s life.

“Hailey has calmed Justin down a lot, and she has changed him as a man. He thinks she is his forever and considers her his best friend and soulmate,” the source said in August 2018. “Justin is over his crazy phase, and is more approachable and has been talking to lots of fans when he's out. He's happy to show the world that Hailey is his girl and he feels at ease with her.”

Christina Haack, Fiancé Joshua Hall Go on a Double Date With His Sister

Posted: 17 Dec 2021 11:51 AM PST

Far from a flop! Christina Haack and Joshua Hall's sweet love story has captivated fans since they first announced their relationship in July 2021.

Following her divorce from Ant Anstead, the Christina on the Coast star was spotted with a handsome stranger who Us Weekly subsequently confirmed was Hall. Soon after, Haack opened up about her new relationship in a lengthy Instagram post, noting she wanted to "protect" her new beau from all the hard parts of life in the spotlight.

"I met Josh when I wasn't in a state of fear or fight-or-flight. … The synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore," she wrote on July 8, 2021. "I felt immediately crazy protective over him and wanted to keep him for myself and get to know each other before the tornado (media attention) hit."

The HGTV star then detailed how her relationship had progressed since the pair officially got together. According to a source, they'd first met years earlier during a real estate conference.

"We've had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other and I've loved every second of it," Haack wrote.

The Wellness Remodel author also slammed critics who said the relationship came along too soon.

"Yes 'another relationship' and guess what. I'm 38 — I'll do what I want," she added. "The synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore."

Before her marriage to Anstead, Haack was married to her Flip or Flop costar Tarek El Moussa. The California native seems to approve of his ex-wife’s new relationship, having told Entertainment Tonight in July 2021 that he's met Hall "a few times" through real estate work.

The Tarek's Flip Side host also said that he thinks Hall "seems like" a good guy.

"[I] don't really know him, but I sure hope so," he added.

The former costars share two children: daughter Taylor, born in 2010, and son Brayden, born in 2015. Haack also shares son Hudson, born in 2019, with Anstead.

"I never thought I would have one divorce let alone two," Haack wrote via Instagram in September 2020 to announce her second split. "I never thought I would have 2 baby daddies – but sometimes life throws us curve balls. Instead of getting stuck in these 'setbacks' I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow. So while some may judge me and throw around rumors about me, most of you support me. And that says a lot about this world and where we are headed. I'm messy, I'm real and I'm working on healing. … We are all a work in progress."

We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect.
