So Festive! Kim Kardashian and More Stars Show Off Their 2021 Holiday Decor

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 06:30 PM PST

Making spirits bright! Candace Cameron Bure, Joanna Gaines, Bindi Irwin and more celebrities couldn’t wait to get into the holiday mood — they started decorating as soon as Halloween ended.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! It's happening, people!!!" the Full House alum, 45, wrote via Instagram on November 10, sharing a video of herself putting up her fake tree at home. "The tree is up 🎄and the decorations are just getting started! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🍁 and Merry Christmas 🎁! Don't try to stop me!"

Gaines, for her part, decorated a special tree with 3-year-old son Crew in early November to mark the start of the season. She also shared a few highlights of Christmas past via her Magnolia blog to get fans just as excited for holiday festivities.

"Our family's tradition of gifting ornaments each year began with [my husband] Chip [Gaines]'s mom, Gayle. The first year that Chip and I were married, I wanted to decorate our Christmas tree based on a specific color story — and decided it would be an all-blue theme," Joanna, 43, wrote in a recent blog. "That same year on Thanksgiving, Gayle gifted us a bright red Radko ornament. Truthfully, I hesitated putting it on the tree because I knew it would throw off my color theme. It makes me laugh now, but at the time I thought, 'Where am I going to put this?'"

The Magnolia Network cofounder noted that she ultimately decided to put her mother-in-law's gift on the tree, which led to their family's tradition of giving each other ornaments as pre-Christmas gifts.

"What I learned to love was this: Though that ornament stuck out in stark contrast to my blue tree, that bright red ornament told a story," she added. "Not only was it a heartfelt gift from Chip's mom, but the ornament signified our first Christmas together, and that made it worthy of the spotlight."

This year, Joanna opted to add a few specialty ornaments to her Magnolia collection that help tell the stories of her own family — including a Sriracha sauce bottle for 15-year-old daughter Ella, who "puts it on everything," according to her mom. Along with Ella and Crew, Joanna shares children Drake, 16, Duke, 13 and Emmie, 11, with Chip, 46.

Jen Shah's Legal Drama: Everything We Know So Far

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 04:12 PM PST

Jen Shah was indicted for her alleged role in a long-running telemarketing scheme while filming season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — and all eyes are on the Bravo star as she faces up to 50 years in prison.

Bravo viewers met Shah during season 1 of RHOSLC, which filmed in 2019 and aired in 2020. She quickly became a polarizing character on the franchise, with fans questioning her job and need for several assistants.

"People will come to me and I'll invest in their companies, so we have a got a lot of different investments, all different kinds of things," Shah said of her career on Access Hollywood's "Housewives Nightcap" in November 2020. "I've been able to do it because what I've been able to carve out, the niche I've been able to carve out in the direct response marketing world."

Not long after production began on season 2 of RHOSLC, which also stars Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow and Mary Cosby, news broke on March 30 that Shah and one of her assistants who appeared on the show, Stuart Smith, were arrested in Utah.

"Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on 'reality' television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah's 'first assistant,' allegedly generated and sold 'lead lists' of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam," Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a press release. "In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims' money. Now, these defendants face time in prison for their alleged crimes."

HSI Special Agent-in-Charge Peter C. Fitzhugh claimed that Shah and Smith "built their opulent lifestyle at the expense of vulnerable, often elderly, working-class people."

"Shah and Smith objectified their very real human victims as 'leads' to be bought and sold, offering their personal information for sale to other members of their fraud ring," Fitzhugh said. "Working with our partners at the NYPD and the United States Attorney's Office, SDNY, and with the assistance of HSI Salt Lake City, HSI New York worked to ensure that Shah and Smith will answer for their alleged crimes. As a result, their new reality may very well turn out differently than they expected."

A source told Us Weekly at the time that Shah is "embarrassed" by the scandal, which included NYPD detectives, Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York working together.

"Jen is really humiliated that all of this is happening in the public eye and that it will be shown on Bravo," the source told Us on March 31, noting at the time that Shah hasn't "been talking to her castmates or friends" following her arrest.

Scroll through for a breakdown of the charges and everything we know about Shah's legal drama:

This is an ongoing article that was originally published in March 2021 and last updated on Friday, November 19.

Jen's Job in Her Own Words
“I own three different marketing companies and we do lead generation, data monetization, customer acquisition. The best way to describe it is, I’m the Wizard of Oz, I’m the one behind the curtain that no one knows exists but I’m the one making everything happen,” Shah told Access Hollywood in November 2020. “So, ads are popping to you guys and they’re like, ‘How the hell do they know I’m shopping at Neiman Marcus?’ That’s me.” She continued: “If you think about it, you know how much traffic is on the internet every second, all the people clicking. I’m making money on every click, anytime you click on anything I’m getting some money. I think because I’ve been blessed to be successful with my marketing background and my companies, I’ve really found a niche within the direct response marketing world. I’ve been able to branch out and invest in our fashion company, our skincare line, our lash line.”   Rick Bowmer/AP/Shutterstock
The Accusations
Shah and Smith’s alleged roles in the telemarketing scheme include defrauding “hundreds” of people, many over the age of 55, by selling “lead lists” for fictitious business opportunities. Courtesy Jen Shah/Instagram
The Timeline
According to the press release, Shah and Smith’s alleged involvement in the scheme stems back to 2012. While they were indicted in March 2021, the case dates back to 2019 and 10 others — Anthony Cheedie, Chad Allen, Shane Hanna Cameron Brewster, Kevin Handren, Joseph Ciaccio, Joseh Minetto, Joseph Depaola, Derek Larkin and Mattie Cirilo — who were previously charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing. The Charges
Shah was booked on conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Both the Bravo star and her assistant face a maximum sentence of 30 years for the wire fraud charges and an additional 20 years for the money laundering charges. Gabe Ginsberg/Bravo
Filming 'RHOSLC' Season 2
Us confirmed that the Bravo cameras were rolling on the day of Shah’s arrest. “Jen was filming with a few of the other women present when she was arrested. The women were completely shocked when Jen was taken away,” the source told Us, noting that the group was gearing up for a trip to Colorado at the time. Another source told Us on March 31 that the cast “resumed filming after Jen’s arrest” without her. “Jen’s future this season remains unclear. If she will go back to filming or not, no one is really sure, she hasn’t resumed filming yet,” the source said at the time. Chad Kirkland/Bravo
The 1st Court Appearance
Following Shah’s arrest, she appeared before a Utah judge on March 30. The judge set the following conditions for her and Smith: must commit no federal offense upon release, must appear as required, no traveling outside of Utah with the exception of New York City court, no international travel, no contact with co-defendants and no engagement in telemarketing. They were subsequently seen leaving the Utah court and ignored all reporters' questions as they headed to their cars. Bravo
The Arraignment
Shah was set to be arraigned virtually on March 31 but couldn’t dial in because too many people were on the line. Judge Sidney Stein subsequently decided to continue Shah and Smith's arraignment to April 2 at 11 a.m. ET. Heidi Gutman/Bravo
The Plea
Shah called into her hearing on April 2 and pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. She sought counsel from her local Utah lawyer, Clayton Simms, and from known white collar crime defense attorney Henry Asbill, who works out of Washington, D.C. The government described the scandal as a $5,000,000 money laundering scheme. Courtesy of hairbyendo/Instagram
Bail Conditions
During the April 2 hearing, the judge set Shah’s bail at $1 million, giving her one week to pay the required $250,000 “to secure that bond in cash or property.” "There is a risk of flight here. It's not insubstantial,” the judge said. “I’m going to release her on the following conditions: I am going to require a personal recognizance bond of $1 million. I am going to require $250,000 to secure that bond in cash or property. She will have one week to comply." Shah’s lawyer then asked for two weeks to secure the bond, which the judge approved, but noted that Shah must sign the $1 million personal recognizance bond by the end of the day. Other conditions of her bail included no drug use or excessive alcohol, not being allowed to open any bank accounts and continued mental health treatments.  Bravo
Jen's Assets
The Bravo star’s attorney told the court that Shah doesn’t own her home — which was labeled as “Jen’s Chalet” on the series — or any real property. The government also alleged that she has not willingly disclosed her assets amid the investigation. When asked about her employment outside of telemarketing, her lawyer told the judge, “She's in the fashion business and on a news show as well … The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City." Courtesy of Jen Shah/Instagram
Trial Date
During the April hearing, a judge set a trial date for October 18, 2021, noting that may change due to COVID protocols. During the August hearing, the trial was postponed until March 2022 following updated COVID-19 standards. Courtesy of hairbyendo/Instagram
Filming Update
A source told Us exclusively in April that RHOSLC is “still filming” amid Shah’s legal drama. “Production sees this as a great storyline. One that everyone will want to see unfold,” the insider said. “It’s ratings gold. They're going to use as much footage as they can that they're legally allowed to use.” Fred Hayes/Bravo
Request Denied
Shah filed a motion to dismiss her case, but it was denied by the judge in August 2021, Us Weekly confirms. In her initial ask, she was hoping charges would be dismissed. Additionally, her attorney, Daniel R. Alonso, along with colleagues Henry W. Asbill and Michael S. Chum, announced their resignation. Shah has retained attorney Priya Chaudhry, of ChaudhryLaw PLLC, to represent her in the case moving forward, according to the court documents. Rick Bowmer/AP/Shutterstock
The Day of Arrest
The lead-up to Shah's arrest by members of Homeland Security and the New York Police Department appeared in a season 2 episode of the series, which aired in November 2021. In the moments before she was taken into custody, Shah told her RHOSLC castmates that she was unable to go on a trip with them to Vail, Colorado, because her husband was suffering from a medical emergency. “I have some bad news,” she told costarGay as the cameras rolled pre-departure. “I just got a phone call and Sharrieff Sr.’s in the hospital. He has internal bleeding, so I need to go.” After telling Gay that the doctors weren’t “sure if they’re going to need to do surgery,” she shared the bad news with Rose, Barlow and Jennie Nguyen, who were on the bus getting ready to leave. Nearly 15 minutes later, the authorities pulled into the parking lot of Gay’s beauty clinic. “Is this a prank?” Rose asked. “Is Jen playing a prank on us, though?” Andrew Peterson/Bravo
The Reactions
During a November 2021 episode of RHOSLC, Shah's costars were left in shock after Homeland Security showed up looking for her. "Other than our families, there was seven people that knew we were meeting at Beauty Lab today. I can't imagine anyone here would turn Jen in, but this looks really sus[picious]," Lisa Barlow noted in a confessional after Whitney Rose suggested that "someone told" the authorities where to find Shah. "I don't know anything, but I have a lot of questions around, like, Jen's lifestyle," Rose continued. "It intrigues me where she gets all of her money and all of her things from." Meredith Marks said in a FaceTime call with the cast that she was "not surprised" by the arrest, adding, "Too many things didn't add up and I've suspected that something was going on for a while. And now, it's validated that I was right [and] I'm not crazy. That's the bottom line." Chad Kirkland/Bravo(3)
A Codefendant’s Sentence
In November 2021, Joseph Ciaccio, who was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing in 2019, was sentenced to time served. According to attorney Ronald Richards, Ciaccio received the sentence because a recent car accident left him paraplegic. "Judge was very compassionate about it and did not follow the government recommendation and sentenced him below guidelines," Richards tweeted. Courtesy of Jen Shah/Instagram
Smith Changes His Plea
Smith, the assistant who was arrested and charged with Shah, changed his plea in November 2021 after initially pleading not guilty. “He pleaded guilty to three counts: conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction of justice,” Richards told Us at the time. “He admitted to hiding ownership and money, defrauding elderly people and lying to the Federal Trade Commission in a deposition, which constituted perjury." Smith will be sentenced in March 2022 after his former boss' trial. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Bravo
‘The Housewife & the Shah Shocker’ Case Shake-Up
Following the release of The Housewife & the Shah Shocker, a documentary that explored Shah's legal issues with interviews from alleged victims and government agents, the Bravo personality requesting that her charges.Shah's legal team claimed that the ABC News doc would ruin her chance at an unbiased jury pool because everyone could access The Housewife & the Shah Shocker ahead of her trial."Ms. Shah respectfully requests that the Court grant her leave to file a motion to dismiss the indictment," the court documents obtained by Us in December read. "Given both the extensive viewership of Hulu nationwide and Ms. Shah’s public notoriety, a change in venue would not protect Ms. Shah’s rights, nor would alternative remedies such as a detailed voir dire or emphatic jury instructions." The US Attorney responded to the motion stating that there was no basis to drop the legal case, to which Shah's attorneys called out the government officials that participated in the Hulu project. "Make no mistake, the Government cannot shift the blame to Hulu or ABC News for the manner in which the final program was edited," the RHOSLC star's response argued. "The Government and its agents publicly expressed their opinions to the press about a pending case, therefore the Government is fully accountable for all that followed. Like any wrongdoer, the Government is entirely responsible for the entire damage caused by its violation of the rules."  Fred Hayes/Bravo
Trouble at Home?
In December 2021, a source exclusively told Us that the drama of the past year had "put a strain on" Jen's marriage to Sharrieff. "It's been a very stressful time," the insider explained. Despite the difficulty, however, the duo were still trying to make it work. "[Coach Shah] is there for Jen and is supporting her through all of this," the source said. "They have a lot of love for each other. They've been through therapy, which really helped, and now, they are stronger than where they were months ago." Bravo/YouTube

Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival Tragedy: Everything We Know

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 04:01 PM PST

Travis Scott's 2021 Astroworld Festival left nine attendees dead and more injured after a crowd rushed the stage.

While the 29-year-old "Sicko Mode" rapper performed in Houston, Texas, on Friday, November 5, the crowd surged forward and caused a mass accident.

"This is a tragic night," Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said during a news conference early on Saturday, November 6. "We know that we had at least at least 8 confirmed fatalities tonight and we had scores of individuals that were injured here in this event."

Peña noted that nearly 50,000 individuals attended the music festival, explaining that around 9:00 p.m. the crowd had "began to compress toward the front of the stage," which caused panic and injuries.

"At the start of the mass casualty incident, when it was triggered … We transferred 17 patients to the hospital," Peña added at the time. "We won't know the cause of death of the eight that were confirmed until the medical examiner has completed his investigation, but we are in the process — Houston Police Department — is sending units to the hospitals to identify these patients."

The incident took place at the sold-out outdoor festival, which was held at NRG Park.

The crowd surge “was from panic because people were running for safety,” a source close to the investigation tells Us Weekly. “The quick response from Astroworld security and staff on site undoubtedly saved even more people from being hurt or worse."

During the show, Scott paused his performance "three times" to ask what had happened, according to one source.

"He asked for everybody in the area to go help them and bring them to the front," an insider told Us. "As soon as they were made aware of what was happening, they ended the performance in the interest of public safety.”

The event's official social media page shared a statement of support early on Saturday, writing, "Our hearts are with the Astroworld Festival family tonight — especially those we lost and their loved ones. We are focused on supporting local officials however we can."

In the statement, it was confirmed that the festival's Saturday lineup had been canceled.

"As authorities mentioned in their press conference earlier, they are looking into the series of cardiac arrests that took place," the social media statement read. "Thank you to our partners at the Houston Police Department, Fire Department and NRG Park for their response and support."

Scott's partner, Kylie Jenner, shared footage from the concert hours earlier via Instagram Story, having attended alongside sister Kendall Jenner. The 24-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder posted snaps of a trailer with 3-year-old daughter Stormi's name on it alongside concert videos during the rapper's set. In Jenner's Instagram videos, the packed crowd was seen jumping during her beau’s performance, which was complete with pyrotechnics on stage.

The musician's annual festival completed a week's worth of "Astroweek" programming, which he described via Instagram in October as "a wild week."

"But injecting the city with inspirational features and activities for charity is a must," Scott wrote at the time. "Join us thru out the week for a bunch of 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 reveals and product. Bringing the ones I build with to the city and I thank them for stepping into this vision and going hammmmmm."

What Happened?

Were There Any Casualties?
The Houston police initially confirmed that eight concert attendees had died and even more were injured. During a press conference on November 11, attorney James Lassiter announced the death of a 22-year-old college student who was in the crowd, bringing the total number of casualties to nine. On November 14, 9-year-old Ezra Blount died of injuries sustained during the festival, bringing the number of deaths to 10. Blount, who also became the youngest person to die from injuries at Astroworld, was placed in a medically induced coma after he was trampled on November 5. "The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son," the family's attorney, Benjamin Crump, said in a statement. "This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration." Amy Harris/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
What Did the Police Conclude?
The local police force’s investigation is still ongoing as Peña noted during the media conference that they planned to look into "what caused the issue of the crowd surge and what prevented people from being able to escape that situation.” HANDOUT/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
Will Astroworld Continue?

How Are Kylie and Kendall Jenner Doing?
After the model and the pregnant Kylie Cosmetics founder shared snaps while watching Scott’s set on Friday, a source confirmed to Us that the sisters were not harmed during the incident.  Invision/AP/Shutterstock
How Has Travis Scott Responded?
“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night,” the rapper tweeted a statement on Saturday. “My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life.” He continued in his post, “I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love You All.” Amy Harris/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
How Did Houston's Security Respond?
“We had more security over there than we had at the World Series games,” Houston mayor Sylvester Turner explained to The New York Times. “The Houston Police Department provided hundreds of officers, in addition to what I’m told were 240 or 250 non-police security that were there.” Amy Harris/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Why Did the Crowd Surge?
Several people were trampled, and investigators are still looking for answers regarding why the surge happened. “I’m sending investigators to the hospitals because we just don’t know,” Finner said, according to the New York Times. “We’re going to do an investigation and find out, because it’s not fair to producers, to anybody else involved, until we determine what happened, what caused the surge.” Amy Harris/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Were Drugs Involved?
Chief of Police Troy Finner addressed reports that people were being drugged without their consent at a press conference on Saturday. "One of the narratives was some individual was injecting other people with drugs. We do have a report of a security officer, according the medical staff that was out and treated him last night, that he was out and reaching over to restrain or grab a citizen, and he felt a prick in his neck," Finner said via CBS.  The police chief said this was unfounded in a press conference on Wednesday, November 10. The guard was hit in the head. He noted that other individuals were trampled and families were still being notified. Live Nation is cooperating and told authorities that they would give any video they had. Amy Harris/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Taking Legal Action
Injured concertgoer Manuel Souza filed a petition against the rapper in Harris County District Court on Saturday, November 6, Us Weekly confirms. Souza called the tragedy "predictable and preventable" in the court docs and is seeking at least $1,000,000 in damages. The lawsuit also names organizer ScoreMore, entertainment company Live Nation, Scott's Cactus Jack Records and several other organizations. Shutterstock
Helping Hand
Scott announced on Monday, November 8, that he will cover all funeral costs for the victims and further aid for those affected. He has also partnered with renowned mental health service provider BetterHealth to provide one-on-one therapy and is working with NAMI, MHA National and MHA of Greater Houston (Mental Health America). Travis Scott Speaks Out
The “Highest in the Room” crooner gave his first public interview in the wake of the incident, speaking with Charlamagne Tha God during a YouTube interview on December 9. Scott claimed that he was initially unaware of his attendees’ injuries during his performance. “I didn’t know the exact details [of the incident] until minutes before the press conference [after my set],” Scott told Charlamagne Tha God. “And even at that moment you’re like, ‘Wait, what?’ People pass out, things happen at concerts, but something like that …” He continued at the time: “It’s so crazy because I’m that artist too — anytime you can hear something like that, you want to stop the show. You want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need. Anytime I could see anything like that, I did. I stopped it a couple times to just make sure everybody was OK. And I really just go off the fans’ energy as a collective — call and response. I just didn’t hear that. You can only help what you can see and whatever you’re told, whenever they tell you to stop, you stop.” Amy Harris/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Travis Scott Loses Business Deals
Anheuser-Busch announced that the rapper's Cacti hard seltzers, launched in early 2021, are no longer in production. "After careful evaluation, we have decided to stop all production and brand development of CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer. We believe brand fans will understand and respect this decision," the parent company said in a statement to AdAge on December 10. The brand's official Instagram and Twitter accounts have been deleted. A rep for Scott told TMZ that he "is not focused on business" in the aftermath of Astroworld. Judge Denies Jen Shah's Attempt to Dismiss Her Case After Hulu Documentary

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 03:44 PM PST

UPDATE: Saturday, December 11 — The request to dismiss Jen Shah’s case has been denied.

"Dismissal of an indictment is an ‘extreme sanction’ that is to be utilized ‘only in the rare case’," Judge Sidney H. Stein wrote in the dismissal, citing cases that have set the precedent.

In his decision, which was obtained by Us Weekly, he stated, “Indeed, there has been no evidence whatsoever proffered to suggest that Shah’s right to a fair trial has been compromised or prejudiced in any respect.”

UPDATE: Monday, December 6 — The US Attorney opposed Shah’s motion to dismiss her case on Friday, December 3, on the basis that “the defendant has not and cannot demonstrate any likelihood of success on the merits of any such motion.”

The Bravo personality’s legal team argued in response that the court should consider the government officials who chose to participate in The Housewife & the Shah Shocker.

“Make no mistake, the Government cannot shift the blame to Hulu or ABC News for the manner in which the final program was edited,” the legal docs stated on Monday, December 6. “The Government and its agents publicly expressed their opinions to the press about a pending case, therefore the Government is fully accountable for all that followed. Like any wrongdoer, the Government is entirely responsible for the entire damage caused by its violation of the rules.”

The filing also claimed that “improper and unrepentant conduct of the prosecution team has caused irreparable damage to Ms. Shah's rights to a fair trial, free from prejudice.”

In court documents obtained by Us Weekly, attorneys for Shah, 48, filed a letter that requested her case be dismissed on the basis that the new doc violated the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s right to a fair trial. According to the paperwork, Shah’s legal team is arguing that there won’t be an “untainted jury pool” now that the documentary is available for everyone to watch ahead of her March 2022 trial.

“Ms. Shah respectfully requests that the Court grant her leave to file a motion to dismiss the indictment,” the legal docs, which were filed on Tuesday, November 30, read. “Given both the extensive viewership of Hulu nationwide and Ms. Shah's public notoriety, a change in venue would not protect Ms. Shah's rights, nor would alternative remedies such as a detailed voir dire or emphatic jury instructions.”

Shah made headlines in March when she and her assistant Stuart Smith were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

“Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on 'reality' television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah's 'first assistant,' allegedly generated and sold 'lead lists' of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam," Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a press release following Shah’s arrest. "In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims' money.”

The ABC News documentary, which dropped on Hulu on Monday, November 29, features interviews from two alleged victims, the agents that are part of the investigation and legal experts.

Homeland Security Investigations Acting Special Agent in Charge Rick Patel addressed Shah’s alleged involvement in selling "lead lists,” saying, "The folks that are behind this are pros at what they do. It is disgusting. And what we'd like to tell any victim is, it’s not your fault, please come forward, because we need your help to make sure this doesn’t happen to more people.”

In the November filing, Shah’s attorney argued that that the interviews with Homeland Security Investigations offered details on her case that weren’t previously made public in an effort to “poison the jury pool.”

Although Shah and her team didn’t provide a comment for the documentary, her aunt Lehua Vincent showed support for her niece.

“This is the most difficult time for our entire family. The Jen Shah that I know is a woman who has come from a culture that is deeply rooted in honesty, loyalty and hard work," Vincent said. "There’s just no way that Jen has the ability to be harmful or hurtful or disrespectful. You are innocent until proven guilty … and I believe her to be nothing but innocent."

Ahead of the Hulu doc’s premiere, Smith, 43, changed his initial not guilty plea and instead plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction of justice.

“He admitted to hiding ownership and money, defrauding elderly people and lying to the Federal Trade Commission in a deposition, which constituted perjury,” attorney Ronald Richards, who is not involved with the case but who appeared in The Housewife & the Shah Shocker, told Us on November 19.

The Texas native then explained that the Jennifer's Body star, 35, replied, "Well, let's find you."

That response impressed her future boyfriend. MGK told the 50 First Dates star, 46, that the line "killed me. She was cupid."

"You know what the dream was? It was exactly what happened to me [at the Billboard Music Awards], which was to go to an awards show, shut down the carpet, go onstage, accept an award," the "Till I Die" rapper told GQ in July, admitting he once had a poster of the Transformers star hanging up on his bedroom wall. "It has nothing to do with the award. I saw a British GQ article that came out this morning that basically was like, 'Despite the fact that BTS was there, The Weeknd was there, Drake was there, the talk of the show was [us].' That overzealous, overconfident 15-year-old must have known that it was attainable, even though everyone else was like, 'You're out of your white-boy-rapping mind.' No one is sitting in math class thinking that [the next] Drake is sitting next to them."

Earlier this month, the Last Son actor even wore a shirt with his love's face on it while discussing on his injury-laden attempts to win her affections.

"I was holding it together," he revealed on the December 1 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "It was a bad night. Travis [Barker] got me this knife that had an engravement from the new album on it, and I was like, 'Check this out. This is sick.' And I threw it up, and it stuck in my hand. You know how you throw it up, and you're supposed to catch it? I looked at [Megan], and I was like, 'Check this out.' And then the next morning as soon as she left, I was like, 'Yo, I need stitches real quick. I've got a bruised coccyx and a knife in my hand.'"

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s Relationship Timeline

Longing for love? Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) started off their relationship by being coworkers, but it quickly evolved into something more.

The Tennessee native and "Rap Devil" singer met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020. At the time, Fox was married to Brian Austin Green.

Two months later, the costars were spotted together amid rumors of a split between the Transformers star and Beverly Hills, 90210 alum. Green confirmed that he and Fox had called it quits after 10 years of marriage on his "…With Brian Austin Green" podcast on May 18, 2020. The two share three sons, Noah, Bodhi and Journey.

Green explained that he had been separated from the actress since the end of 2019 and he didn't "want people to think that her or he are villains, or I was a victim in any way with any of this because I wasn't."

Despite Green's explanation of the situation, a source told Us Weekly exclusively on May 19, 2020, that the costars had begun "spending more and more time together because of their work schedules and filming together."

The insider added: "They started off as friends and their relationship grew from there. Megan thinks MGK is a really cool guy and their relationship turned more romantic."

Us reported on June 17 that the Jennifer's Body actress and "I Think I'm OKAY" rapper were "officially dating" after sparking romance rumors a month prior.

"Megan and MGK have gotten more serious," the source told Us exclusively. "[They're] referring to one another as boyfriend and girlfriend. They're enjoying spending more and more time together and have a strong connection."

The couple were spotted showing PDA in Los Angeles on multiple occasions and in July 2020, they were photographed leaving California to resume filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in Puerto Rico, according to Randall Emmett‘s Instagram post.

The duo partied the night away at the Dream Hotel in Los Angeles ahead of the release of Kelly's new album, Tickets to My Downfall. Fox lent her voice to one of the album's interludes, gushing over the nights they spent together. "I burn other memories just to make room for those ones," Kelly says on the brief song. The Big Time Adolescence actor shared how Fox has made him a “better” person. “I think the universe caught on to me wanting to make a change. In an interview with Nylon, Kelly opened up about how Fox has positively impacted his life. “Love is not what’s being encouraged now. In fact, it’s exactly the opposite: Everything now is isolation, dehumanization, separation,” he explained. “And f--k, dude, you have in your head that you’re this rock star, with multiple women and all that. So, finding someone that can take you out of the fast lane and make sure that you’re safe, because at any minute you can crash — I love that it can evolve into that.” Dave Allocca/Starpix/Shutterstock; Faye Sadou/MediaPunch/INSTARimages.com

In an Interview profile, Kelly explained to Dave Franco how Fox has been helpful during his drug addiction recovery. “When you have a partner, mine being Megan, sitting there with you on those dark nights when you’re sweating and not being able to figure out why you’re so in your head, to help you get out of your head and put it in perspective, that really, really helps,” he said. The couple attended the UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou 2 event four days after Kelly was accused of cheating on ex-girlfriend Sommer Ray with Fox. The model alleged during a March 2021 appearance on the “Imapulsive” podcast that she was still dating the rapper when he met the actress. “I don’t really feel bad saying that because he did kind of cheat on me with Megan Fox,” she said. The couple raised eyebrows in February 2021 when the rapper revealed that he wears a necklace with Fox’s blood in it around his neck. Three months later, Kelly explained why that gift means so much to him while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Well, she was actually going out of town to film a movie. This was really new in our relationship,” the musician said in May 2021. “I didn’t have a passport either. So, she was going out to Bulgaria so I was kind of freaking out, like, ‘You’re gonna leave and I can’t even come see you.'” As a result, the mother of three gave him the pendant, which he carries with him when he isn’t wearing it. “Some people give, like, a handkerchief to their partner or whatever. Fox reflected on her first impression of Kelly in a profile for The Washington Post. The pair only worked together for two days on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, but she knew his name and that he “was a tall, blond tattooed rapper.” However, she did not see their “magical” connection coming. “The first time I looked into his eyes, I was like … ‘I know you. During an interview with Who What Wear, Fox revealed that she made a pros and cons list before officially deciding to date the musician. "When I met him, I knew instantly that this is a soul I’ve traveled with before, that this was a soul-mate connection, and that there was a purpose here," she explained at the time. The rap star recalled a “bad” injury while trying to impress the actress before the pair started seeing one another. “[My coccyx injury] was also right when I started to date Megan and I was holding it together,” he explained on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It was a bad night. I won the beer pong match [with Post Malone], I went home [and] Travis [Barker] got me this knife that had an engravement from the new album on it, and I was like, 'Ah, check this out. This is sick.' And I threw it up, and it stuck in my hand. You know how you throw it up, and you're supposed to catch it? I looked at her, and I was like, 'Check this out.’” He added at the time, “And then the next morning as soon as she left, I was like, 'Yo, I need stitches real quick. I've got a bruised coccyx and a knife in my hand.’” Sean Gallagher/NBC
December 2021
The Last Son star admitted that his love was the “only reason” he signed onto Randall Emmett’s Midnight in the Switchgrass. “We were filming a movie, which ironically the only reason I took the movie was because they were like, 'Your scenes with Megan Fox,’ and I was like, 'I'll take the movie,’" he revealed on the Drew Barrymore Show on December 10. “I stayed outside the trailer, and my gut is always right and I'm grateful for it because for some reason I knew she would invite me for lunch. Then, all of a sudden, someone came over and was like, 'Megan wants to know if you want to have lunch in her trailer.' And I was like, 'Oh my God, I'm so surprised. Yeah, absolutely.’ I went in there and she said, ‘How do you feel?’ And I said, ‘I’m lost.’” After Fox told him, “Well, let’s find you,” the musician knew he was lovestruck, telling host Drew Barrymore, “Killed me. She was cupid.” Diggzy/Jesal/Shutterstock

Nick Carter Is Learning a Lot About the Elf on the Shelf This Christmas

Naughty or nice? Nick Carter is getting the full Elf on the Shelf experience this Christmas — and lucky for Us, he captured it all on video.

The Backstreet Boy, 41, and his wife, Lauren Kitt, gave Us Weekly an exclusive inside look at how they're celebrating the holidays this year with their three kids: Odin, 5, Saoirse, 2, and 7-month-old Pearl.

For starters, they're debuting a few new traditions, which includes introducing their little ones to the Elf on the Shelf. The plush elf doll, who made its debut in 2004, is a Yuletide trend with other celebrity parents including Kourtney Kardashian, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Busy Philipps.

The story goes that Santa Claus sends his elves to the homes of little girls and boys during the day to scout and report back to him about their behavior before he makes his list and checks it twice. Each day leading up to Christmas, the elf shows up in a new spot in the house with some parents choosing to create elaborate scenes for their kids to enjoy.

"It's the first year we're doing it with our kids. We're going to have the elf make sure that the kids bathe properly. He’s here waiting to report back to Santa," Kitt, 38, told Us, before hanging the little guy from the shower door.

Carter wasn't as familiar with the festively sneaky characters, who Kitt pointed out "hide themselves around the house, magically, and the kids find them." Wink, wink.

The "I Want It That Way" singer, however, quickly got the hang of things and even seemed to have fun planting those mischievous elves in the garland on his mantel —  the perfect spot for keeping an eye on Odin and Saoirse, who certainly don't want to end up on Santa's naughty list.

Carter and Kitt also go big when it comes to their outdoor decorations — literally. The Masked Singer season 4 alum was spotted carrying around a silver ornament that is as big as a beach ball.

The couple, who got married in April 2014, has a lot to celebrate this year. The pop star and the personal trainer welcomed daughter Pearl in April.

"As a parent knows all to [sic] very well, sometimes things don't turn out the way you plan it," Kitt tweeted at the time. "We have been experiencing some minor complications, but things are looking a little better after the first night."

Is this the end of a beautiful friendship? Weeks after Lindsay Hubbard declared she needed a “break” from her friendship with Austen Kroll, she has opened up about whether they could ever reconcile.

"This is not the first time Austen and I have gotten into any sort of tiff," the Summer House star, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly at the DeuxMoi x Studs Holiday Party on Friday, December 10, at New York's Lavan 541. "That’s what happens when you have a close friendship with somebody when you’re very, very close — and you’re best friends or you consider yourselves best friends — you're bound to get into some sort of fight. It’s just, unfortunately, this one was very public. So yeah, I don’t think that our friendship is over. I think it will repair, [but] it might not look the same as it did before."

The Hubb House founder also revealed that the Southern Charm star, 34, "never" blocked her on social media despite previous claims.

Hubbard and Kroll, who were close long before appearing together on Winter House, both appeared in the teaser for the sixth season of Bravo hit, which debuted on Wednesday, December 8. The New York native confirmed the series was filmed before their falling out. Their ongoing drama heated up after Kroll picked costar Ciara Miller over his longtime friend during a Watch What Happens Live game with Andy Cohen — while Hubbard was in the audience.

"I don't think I've ever been in more of an awkward uncomfortable situation in my entire life," the PR executive revealed during a November 3 appearance on the "Reality Life with Kate Casey" podcast. "I'm just always a very comfortable in my own skin kind of person. But that moment was extremely uncomfortable, and listen, thank God [Austen's sister] Katie [Kroll] was there because I was holding her hand, like, the world was coming to an end."

She added at the time, "I can't be [OK] with keeping that kind of person in my life. Like, I spend so much time caring and nurturing for my friendships and being the best friend I can be to everyone around me," she said. "If it's not going to be reciprocated [after] almost four years of friendship and if it's still not there, then I don't need to train a 34-year-old man how to be a good friend to me."

After Hubbard declared her intentions to take a step back from their relationship, the Kings Calling Brewing Co. founder, for his part, alleged that she had unfollowed him shortly after the WWHL taping.

"The tea on Watch What Happens Live is she ended up, like, you know, blocking me," he explained during a "Pillows and Beer" livestream with Craig Conover. "I saw weeks prior to Watch What Happens Live, she found out that I was going on and she was like, 'Oh, my gosh, my aunt's in town, I want to come.' I was like, 'Cool, great, you know, I'll call my sister.' … I thought that they're gonna hang out in the green room and then Andy [Cohen] found out that she was there and was like, 'Let's put you in the front row.'"

While her relationship with the South Carolina resident hit a rough patch, the publicist has been keeping busy by hanging out with her "besties," including Danielle Olivera, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula and Carl Radke.

"He’s always been my best friend," the Bravo star gushed over her bond with Radke, 36, during the festive NYC event. "I mean, we [have] sort of always done everything together. He moved into the building a year ago. We work out together, we go to the grocery store together. It’s the convenience of being in the same building and you do a lot together."

Adele Congratulates BF Rich Paul On His Latest Collab

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 12:10 PM PST

Someone like him! Adele is the queen of emotional breakup songs, but in her real life, she’s been more successful at finding love.

The Grammy winner was first spotted with her boyfriend, Rich Paul, in July 2021 attending Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Though that was their first time in public, a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that the duo had been dating “for months” before the game.

“He's very shy and keeps a low profile when they go out, whereas Adele is super sociable," the insider added, noting that the pair managed to stay under the radar by mingling with the same inner circle. "The people they hang out with know them both personally already, so they don't have to introduce each other, which is probably why nobody picked up on their relationship sooner.”

Two months later, the couple made things Instagram official when the “Easy on Me” songstress shared a photo of the duo dressed up to attend NBA star Anthony Davis‘ wedding to Marlen P. (Paul, a sports agent, represents Davis as well as his Los Angeles Lakers teammate LeBron James.)

“They're very committed at this point and it's hard to imagine they won't be together for an extremely long time,” a source told Us of Adele and her beau in October 2021, adding that the twosome “complement each other” very well. “She really feels like she hit the jackpot."

The Oscar winner was previously married to Simon Konecki, with whom she welcomed son Angelo in October 2012. The former couple called it quits in April 2019 after seven years together and finalized their divorce in early 2021.

"I was just going through the motions and I wasn't happy," she told Vogue of her marriage in October 2021. "Neither of us did anything wrong. Neither of us hurt each other or anything like that. It was just: I want my son to see me really love, and be loved. It's really important to me."

In the same interview, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer revealed that she’d actually met Paul years before their romance began. “He was always there, I just didn't see him,” she explained, adding that they reconnected at a party a “couple” of years earlier. "He was dancing. All the other guys were just sitting around. He was just dancing away."

That infectious charm is one of the things that captivated Adele from the start. “He's always making her feel special and doesn't have a single drop of selfishness or meanness in his body,” an insider told Us in October 2021.

Keep scrolling for a look back at Adele and Paul’s whirlwind romance:

In an interview with Vogue, the "All I Ask" singer gushed about how "safe" Paul makes her feel. "I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled," she explained. "It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild. ... I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.” She added that she didn't mean to go public with their romance at the NBA game — she just wanted to spend some time with her boyfriend. "I just love being around him. I just love it," she said. “He was like, 'What are people going to say?' And I was like, 'That you signed me. As an athlete. You’re my agent.' And he was like, 'OK, cool.'” Allen J Schaben/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock

The pair were spotted leaving the London Palladium together following the filming of her TV special An Audience With Adele, which marked her first U.K. performance in four years. It's quite incredible watching him do what he does," she shared, noting that this is the first relationship she's loved herself enough to be really able to love someone else. "It's just timing. But it'd be interesting to see what my reaction is like in general to anything that hurts me now that I feel so secure in myself, and I'm talking outside of romance as well." LOL! Every Time the Hemsworth Brothers Have Trolled One Another

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 10:00 AM PST

Brotherly fun! Over the years, the Hemsworth brothers have entertained themselves and their followers with their hilarious social media antics.

Fans fell in love with Liam Hemsworth after he starred alongside his now ex-wife, Miley Cyrus, in The Last Song. The 2010 romantic drama helped the Australia native rise to fame, which led to him booking the role of Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games series.

Since then, Liam has continued to appear in projects including Independence Day: Resurgence, The Duel and Isn’t It Romantic.

His older brother Chris Hemsworth blew comic book fans away as Thor in 2011. With appearances in Men in Black: International, Ghostbusters, The Cabin in the Woods and several Marvel adjacent projects, Chris has managed to become one of the world’s highest-paid actors.

After Liam and Chris captured the hearts of many with their joint filmography, some were surprised to discover that another Hemsworth brother existed. Luke Hemsworth, who stars as Ashley Stubbs in Westworld, is set to appear onscreen with his brother Chris in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

Ahead of the exciting Hemsworth crossover, Chris previously opened up about whether there was any competition that existed between him and his brothers.

"People try to pair us off like there's this vicious competitiveness and, 'Arghhh! You got that part and I didn't and stuff, which isn't the case," the Avengers actor told Entertainment Tonight in July 2017. "Get us at home, playing cricket or football or surfing or something, and yeah, there's a great rivalry there — a very healthy one."

That same month, Luke also weighed in on what it is like working in the same industry as his siblings.

"Sometimes we shoot each other scripts and say, 'Take a look at this. What do you think?' But we're all pretty autonomous. We tend to rely on the people that are the experts,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in June. "We have a healthy rivalry with everything that we do.”

The Death of Me actor later admitted that he does feel the pressure to live up to what Chris and Liam are doing.

“In a way, it’s hard that my brothers are so well known because [for me] there’s a level that you have to hit,” Luke explained to BW magazine in March 2018. “We bounce ideas off each other all the time, and we’re always going backwards and forwards about what we should be doing and what we’re not doing.”

Luke noted that Hollywood definitely played a role when it came to having to question himself compared to his brothers.

“I think there is a stigma about three boys who are all actors in as far as, what is unique about each one? And how do I find what is unique about me? That is the question I ask a lot: How do I actually differentiate myself from them?” he added at the time. “I am figuring it out as I go, but I’m very serious about doing good work.”

Scroll on to see all the times that the Hemsworth trio trolled one another:

"She’s doing the best that she can do," the Stanford University student, 21, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, December 10, at the DeuxMoi x Studs Holiday Party at New York's Lavan 541. "Obviously, it’s a very hard situation but we’re here for her and we’ll always be there for her, so I think she’ll be OK."

Miriam continued: "I mean, like, I didn’t know too much about anything that was going on [in their relationship] but the second when she told me what was going on, I understood everything. So, I’ll always be there for her and I’ll always be there for Ben, too. He’s still somebody that’s a part of our family no matter what and so it’s only love that’s surrounded by all of us."

While the Netflix personality played coy if her older sister, 28, was ready to jump back into the dating scene after her November breakup, she was more candid about how her sibling's experiences have taught her valuable life lessons.

"A lot what I learned was through my sister because [she] has had a very healthy relationship and she still does with Ben," Miriam told Us. "Sometimes people split and for good reasons, and so, I still ask her for advice all the time — and she’s given me such good advice on my personal relationship and I’m so grateful for that."

Batsheva confirmed the couple's split via Instagram on November 28 after previous breakup speculation.

"After time and consideration, we have made the decision to separate," Batsheva wrote via Instagram Story at the time. "We have so much love and respect for each other but have realized that it is time to take some space to ensure that each of us live the most joyous, fulfilling lives possible. There are no secrets nor salacious events to blame. We are just two best friends who met at a very young age and have grown over the past 9 years each in our own way. We so appreciate your continuous support as we embark upon this new chapter of our lives, separately."

While the social media influencer navigates her newfound single status, Miriam, for her part, recently went public with her girlfriend, Nathalie Ulander.

"She was at first nervous, very nervous," Miriam told Us of the moment her partner met the family, whom she even likened to a Jewish version of the Kardashians. "At first she was like, ‘I don’t know if I want to do this,’ and then after we were together for seven months, she was like, ‘I’m in it, I’m here for you, I’d love to do this for us.' My family has been so welcoming and so kind to her. She just took my brother [Shlomo Haart] out clubbing to get with girls. It’s very funny. She fits in the family like she was a missing puzzle piece, like, genuinely. It’s so nice."

Prince Harry's Ups and Downs With the Royal Family Over the Years

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 08:00 AM PST

Not all tea and sympathy. Prince Harry has always been one of the most jovial members of the British royal family, but he hasn’t always gotten along with his own relatives.

The Invictus Games founder is the youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. As children, he and his older brother, Prince William, seemed inseparable, but as they got older, cracks began to form in their relationship.

"There's always been a part of Harry that felt like he was living in his brother's shadow," an insider told Us Weekly in November 2019. "He doesn't envy the responsibility that comes with being the future king of England, but William's the 'golden boy' and Harry feels like he has a lot to live up to."

The rift between the brothers grew wider in March 2021 when Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, opened about their decision to step back from their royal duties in a tell-all interview with CBS. During the TV special, the Sussexes accused unnamed members of the royal family of racist behavior. In particular, they alleged that one person had asked questions about their son Archie‘s skin tone ahead of his May 2019 birth. (They welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet, in June 2021.)

Days after the interview, the Duke of Cambridge responded to the accusations by saying, "We’re very much not a racist family."

One month later, the brothers reunited at the funeral for their grandfather Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 at age 99. Though they were photographed walking together after the ceremony, a source later told Us that the duo still had work to do to mend their relationship.

"Harry did speak to William while he was in the U.K., so in that respect, they made some progress," the insider said at the time. "But they definitely haven't reached the stage where all is forgiven, nor have they buried the hatchet."

Harry’s dynamic with his father has also been strained since he and Meghan decided to step down as full-time working royals in January 2020. When the former military pilot visited the U.K. for Philip’s funeral, he and Charles didn’t manage to fully move past the tension caused by the CBS tell-all.

“They barely communicated," a source told Us in April 2021. "There definitely continues to be a huge wedge between the two."

Keep scrolling for a look back at Harry’s ups and downs with the royal family over the years:

The Courtship
Some of the tension between William and Harry dates back to 2016 when the Archewell cofounder started dating Meghan. According to royal reporter Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand's book Finding Freedom, William encouraged his brother to take it slow with the Suits alum, but Harry didn't appreciate the advice. “Harry was pissed off … that his brother would ask such a thing," the authors wrote.  AP/Shutterstock
Marrying Meghan
When Harry and Meghan tied the knot in May 2018, William served as his brother's best man. "The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother," Kensington Palace said in a statement at the time.  David Fisher/Shutterstock
Fighting Back
After a British newspaper published a letter Meghan sent her father, Thomas Markle, Harry issued an unprecedented statement calling out the "British tabloid press" for "false and malicious" reporting about his wife. "Put simply, it is bullying, which scares and silences people," he said in October 2019. "We all know this isn’t acceptable, at any level. We won’t and can’t believe in a world where there is no accountability for this."  That same month, Harry admitted that he and his brother were on "different paths" during an ITV documentary. “William is extremely concerned about Harry and Meghan,” an insider told Us at the time. “Even though the brothers have grown apart, William still cares about Harry and is hoping that he’ll open up to him about his current struggles. William wants to be there for Harry and hates seeing him in such a bad place. Despite their differences, blood is thicker than water.” Victoria Jones/AP/Shutterstock
Stepping Down
In January 2020, the Sussexes shocked the world — and Harry's family — by announcing that they planned to step down from their roles as full-time working royals. Charles was "livid" over the decision, an insider told Us at the time, adding that the Prince of Wales felt like Meghan was to blame for the situation.  Tim Rooke/Shutterstock
The Tell-All Interview
Things between Harry and his relatives hit a boiling point in March 2021 when he and Meghan sat down for their tell-all interview, which aired on CBS. Among many shocking revelations, the one that stood out the most was the Bench author's allegation that a member of the royal family had asked pointed questions about the color of Archie's skin before his birth.  Later in the year, a book alleged that Charles was the person who made the skin color comments, but the prince denied the claims, telling Us in a statement, "This is fiction and not worth further comment.” According to Scobie, the heir to the throne reportedly consulted lawyers as well.  Joe Pugliese/Harpo Productions/CBS
Prince Philip’s Funeral
Tensions between Harry and William appeared to ease in April 2021 when the pair briefly reunited for their grandfather's funeral. Two months later, however, royal expert Robert Lacey claimed that the duo "started quarreling" within "minutes" of getting behind closed doors. "The rage and anger between those two has grown so incredibly deep," the Crown consultant wrote in an op-ed for the Daily Mail. "Too many harsh and wounding things have been said." Arthur Edwards/WPA Pool/Shutterstock
Reuniting With William
The brothers reunited again in July 2021 to unveil a statue in honor of their late mother. “They didn’t mend the bond at the funeral,” an insider told Us ahead of the ceremony, adding that the twosome planned to "make up" at the event. “But since the baby, they want to move forward. Both brothers are ready to move past the rift and have a good relationship again,” the source added. Shutterstock
The Book
Later in July 2021, Harry once again threw his family for a loop when he announced he was writing a memoir to be published in 2022. "I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” the Me You Can't See producer said in a statement at the time. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think."  His family, however, was less than thrilled about the news. "The royal family is shaken up about the book,” a source told Us at the time, adding that Charles and William were “particularly concerned about what Harry will reveal.”  Shutterstock
Trying Again
In December 2021, an insider told Us that Charles and his youngest son were again trying to patch things up, but there was still a lot of work to be done. “Charles and Harry are in communication,” the insider explained, noting that the pair were "not speaking very much” after the tell-all interview. “There [are] still a lot of issues the two of them need to work out and move forward.” Tim Rooke/Shutterstock

Oh! Blake Lively and More Celebs With Bizarre Holiday Traditions

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 06:04 AM PST

Doing it their way! Stars have their own unique traditions that they follow religiously during the holiday season. Whether it's watching a specific film with the family or eating a certain meal, celebrities like Blake Lively are proud of keeping the annual pattern going.

The Gossip Girl star, who shares three daughters with husband Ryan Reynolds, previously opened up the most important part when it comes to celebrating the holidays.

“It’s really just about being with family,” Lively said in a Gucci Premiere video in 2014. “So we never leave the house, whether we’re making ginger bread houses, or baking cookies, or sitting around watching movies.”

In November 2021, Candace Cameron Bure exclusively told Us Weekly how her family planned to shake up their Christmas plans that year.

“I’m super excited that we’re all going to be together. My son [Lev] in college is coming home for a couple of weeks and my son [Maksim] that lives up north is coming home. But then we’re actually going on a trip together, the five of us, and we are doing the antithesis of a Hallmark movie,” the actress, who shares her sons and daughter Natasha with husband Valeri Bure said at the time. “We are going to the beach. So we’re going to just spend a little time in Miami and enjoy some sunshine and the ocean spray. I can’t wait.”

Candace noted that, in her house, it was important to give each holiday the proper amount of time to celebrate.

"If I’m going [to] put [decorations] up and do the work, I want to enjoy [them] as long as possible," the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries star explained to Us. "[That] doesn't mean I’m blowing over Thanksgiving. [It] doesn’t mean I don’t recognize Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving actually, it’s my favorite. I just like the Christmas decorations to be [on] view all the time."

The California native also admitted that she felt the need to go all out to maintain her reputation as Hallmark’s Christmas Queen.

"I did feel an immense amount of pressure [last year] as every movie does well in the ratings," she added. "And then you always want to hit that mark and exceed that mark. And last year, I finally let it go because it’s not the reason why I make these movies. "I make them because I love them. And I know that the viewers that watch them really love them, and they mean something to them. I always try to make it the best that I can, but I let the pressure go last year."

I try and stay away from the gluttony of things. They don’t appreciate it as much. When they only get one or two things they really like it.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
During an interview with The Receipt in November 2018, Legend admitted that he and his wife have made ordering McDonald's a Christmas tradition. Hudson previously explained that her family has made Santa the holiday staple in their own way. "One year, Santa wanted rum, root beer and licorice. One year, he wanted gluten free cookies and almond milk. Another year, I think he wanted Cabernet and some chocolates," she said during an interview with Fabletics in 2016. Bah Humbug! Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and More Celebs Who Hate Christmas

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 06:03 AM PST

Bah humbug! The holiday season is the most magical time of the year for a lot of people, but some celebrities have more in common with Scrooge than Santa Claus.

Miley Cyrus has been candid about her struggles around Christmas and wants her fans to know they aren’t alone. The “Prisoner” singer shared a “Sad Christmas Song” in December 2019, which she penned during a lonely period in her life.

“A sad Christmas song I wrote a few years back right before the holidays,” Cyrus wrote via Instagram at the time. “Was feeling like s–t cause I couldn't be with the one I loved. Even with a house full of family and friends I still felt alone. In ways that still feels relevant and someone reading this right now could possibly relate!”

She added, “If you feel lonely this season just know YOU ARE COMPLETELY MADE OF MAGIC! You are as special as a snowflake, beautifully unique and I hope inside your soul feels light, hope, peace, and joy knowing how singularly amazing YOU are! Love always wins!”

One year later, Cyrus revealed she wanted to have a “goth Christmas” vibe for the holiday season.

“I want an all-black tree this year,” she explained on the KISS FM Breakfast Show in November 2020. “I wanna do, like, goth Christmas. I think instead of a garland do, like, rosaries, like, upside-down studded crosses and like, yeah, very goth, medieval kinda vibes.”

The Hannah Montana alum added that Christmas with her family always ends in “fistfights, and usually with each one of us removing ourselves and slamming the door in some way and a lot of apology texts."

Cyrus added, "I mean we’re all kind of conspiracy theorists and I remember one year we got onto the topic of, like, aliens and it ended with my brothers not talking for a week and my mom crying."

Colin Firth isn’t the biggest fan of Christmas cheer either. The actor told the Daily Mail in November 2009 that he has a “profound loathing” of the holiday.

“At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory,” he said at the time. “I think Christmas turns us all into Scrooge. Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that's when I come over all humbug."

Miley Cyrus
The "Wrecking Ball" singer shared her melancholy thoughts on Christmas via Instagram in 2016. “Call me the grinch but Christmas always makes me feel deeply sad," she wrote at the time. “It is filled with so much excessiveness & greed. I just hope everyone gives the gift of love and acceptance this year to not only their own family but those around the globe who don’t get everything they wished for due to life’s unfair circumstances! My parents always made Christmas about others. And I hope you find it in your heart to do the same!” Shutterstock
Ozzy Osbourne
The "Crazy Train" singer admitted in December 2009 that he's not a fan of the consumerism behind Christmas. "I have to unravel all these f--king presents. What a f--king waste of paper,” he told Express at the time. “I f--king hate Christmas. I f--king hate it. Everything stops. When I used to drink, it was a good excuse to get f--ked. Now, I just hate it.” Shutterstock
Lady Gaga
The 'Rain on Me" singer took out her aggression around the holiday season when she bit a Santa toy during a concert in 2010. “I hate the holidays. I’m alone and miserable, you f--king stuffed little toy,” she said on stage at the time. Shutterstock
Hugh Grant
The Love Actually star revealed in 2009 that he tries to avoid celebrating Christmas. “The last few years, I have taken Dad to a Muslim country to escape it completely. We both hate Christmas,” he told the Mirror at the time. Shutterstock
Marion Cotillard
The Inception actress admitted that she’s “not a Christmas person” during a 2016 appearance on Live With Kelly. “That was from a very young age,” she said. “I remember fighting with my mum because I didn’t want to get presents. … She was very mad at me and it was a fight every year because she couldn’t stand having me amongst the kids not having a present. And I was like, ‘I’m fine, I don’t need anything, I don’t want it.’” COOLMedia/NurPhoto/Shutterstock
Colin Firth
The Mamma Mia! star told the Daily Mail in November 2009 that he isn't interested in Yuletide celebrations. "I have a profound loathing of Christmas," he said at the time. "It’s sad really. At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory. I think Christmas turns us all into Scrooge. Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that’s when I come over all humbug.” Shutterstock
Christoph Waltz
The No Time to Die star admitted he didn't even want Christmas to exist during an interview with Backstage OL in 2014. When Waltz was asked what he wanted that year, he replied, “No Christmas. That’s my biggest wish, no Christmas.” Shutterstock
Jennifer Aniston
The Friends star now throws an annual tree-trimming party for her friends — but she used to despise her family’s yuletide traditions. “When I was a kid, they used to make me belly dance. On Christmas Eve,” she told Entertainment Weekly in 2016. “My dad’s whole side of the family is Greek, so I would dress up as a little Greek girl and then on Christmas, after taking belly-dancing classes, I would do that. It had nothing to do with Christmas, even. It was just, ‘Let’s humiliate Jen on Christmas.'” Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Diego Luna
The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor told Celestrellas in 2010 that Christmas didn't feel authentic to him. "I hate the wave of consumerism and the feeling that you have to do things that you normally don't have to do at any other time of the year," he said at the time. Shutterstock
Noel Gallagher
The Oasis singer doesn’t just hate Christmas, he hates it “with a passion.” In a 2017 speech, he referred to what many consider the most wonderful time of the year as a “f–king stain on society” that includes “too much food, too much ‘We Are The World,’ the jumpers, the TV presenters, the s–t adverts, the f–king weather.” Tell us how you really feel, Noel.
