"If I could talk to her right now, I would tell her, 'I love you more than anybody alive. No. 2, I absolutely do not want a divorce,'" the reality star, 47, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, December 8. "I absolutely do not want her to leave. I absolutely want to build our family like we’ve planned since the very beginning."

Tarik noted that he does not "have any open lines of communication" with Hazel at this point — but "not by choice."

The TV personality also shed some light on what led to his troubles with Hazel. "There wasn’t a big blow-up fight," he said. "Hazel and I talked about some issues that we have talked about many, many, many times. She felt one way about these issues, and I felt another way about these issues. We disagreed on what we should do."

Although Tarik refused to elaborate on the nature of their dispute, he claimed that it involved "the betterment of the whole entire family." He added that he "never wanted any of this" and was not aware that Hazel "was going to leave."

He continued: "I still don’t know if her leaving was meant to be permanent, if it was meant to be temporary, if it was meant for me … if this was her way of trying to get my attention — saying, 'You’re not hearing me, you’re not listening to me. You’re going to listen to me now because I’m going to disappear.'"

Tarik sparked split rumors on Tuesday, December 7, when he gave an update on his marriage. "Hazel does not live with me anymore. She said she is [in] another state with people I don't know. She's going back to the Philippines. I do know that bc she has no choice," he wrote via his Instagram Stories.

Hazel later changed her Instagram bio to read, "A real man wouldn't abuse his women mentally and emotionally. Real man don't run his mouth n social media, wait tell I'm OK. Thruth [sic] will prevail #facts."

Tarik denied the abuse allegations on Wednesday, writing, "Not true and you know it."

"She never, ever, ever said that she felt abused in any way," he claimed to Us on Wednesday. "We had arguments and disagreements like everybody else, but everything I have ever done or ever said to Hazel was 100 percent out of love. She would agree with that. Now, you know, if she felt like I was abusive in tone or in nature, I mean, I definitely would apologize for that to her, and I don’t want to minimize what somebody else feels. … If she felt mentally or emotionally abused, it absolutely was not intentional by me."

Tarik and Hazel met during season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2018. They got married during season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé in March.

Getting Festive! Prince William, Duchess Kate Attend Christmas Carol Service

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 03:40 PM PST

The world watched in awe as Prince William and Duchess Kate wed at Westminster Abbey in London on April 29, 2011, and years later, commoners still stand impressed with the couple. From their royal engagements to their three beautiful kids, Us Weekly is taking a look back at the duo's relationship.

Though they didn't tie the knot until 2011, Kate and William first met 10 years prior while studying history at Scotland's University of St Andrews. The two would go on to keep quiet about their romance as they completed their education, but later had a high-profile split in 2007.

"At the time I wasn’t very happy about it, but it actually made me a stronger person," Kate shared during a joint interview with William in November 2010. "You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn’t realized. I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger, and I really valued that time for me as well although I didn’t think it at the time.”

William, for his part, explained the reasoning behind his decision to split from Kate for a short while. “It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up so it was just a bit of space, and it worked out for the better," he said at the time.

The pair would reconcile the following year, and announced their engagement in November 2010. They are now proud parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Tiger Woods Returns to Golf With Son Charlie Nearly 1 Year After Car Crash

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 03:33 PM PST

Tiger Woods was hospitalized in the aftermath of a single-car wreck on Tuesday, February 23, and authorities have officially ruled it an accident.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department issued a statement after the pro athlete, 45, was “extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics” when his vehicle flipped over several times. The car “sustained major damage” and Woods’ manager later told Golf Digest that he “suffered multiple leg injuries.” The California native was the only passenger in the car.

During a press conference on Tuesday, more details about the crash and Woods’ condition were revealed. Authorities noted that the golf champ was conscious when first responders arrived at the scene, asserting that there was “no evidence of impairment.”

Los Angeles County sheriff Alex Villanueva added, “The first contact was with the center median, from there then crossed into the opposing lane of traffic, hit the curb, hit a tree, and there were several rollovers during that process.”

Later that evening, Villanueva addressed concerns from the public on the department’s Facebook page and denied the possibility of Woods facing reckless driving charges.

“This is purely an accident,” the sheriff said. “We do not contemplate any charges whatsoever in this crash. This remains an accident. An accident is not a crime.”

One day before his hospitalization, Woods gave Dwyane Wade and David Spade a hands-on lesson on the driving range for Golf TV and Golf Digest. The former Miami heat player, 39, opened up about spending a “great day” with the 15-time major champion.

“I woke up today so proud to be able to post that moment for the world to be able to get a little snippet of our moment together,” Wade recalled during an appearance on Inside the NBA on Tuesday. “And I took a nap, and I woke up to the news. … I’m just thankful that he took the time to be able to teach me a few things about the game yesterday.”

The Chicago native was “shaken” after learning about what happened to Woods — and he wasn’t the only one. Alex Rodriguez, Barack Obama and more stars sent well-wishes to Woods while waiting for an update on his condition.

“Praying for TW right now 🙏🏻,” Lindsey Vonn, who dated Woods for three years before their May 2015 split, tweeted on Tuesday night.

Extracted From the Wreck
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Woods was traveling on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes when the crash took place at roughly 7 a.m. local time. While the department's statement initially claimed that the Florida resident was "extricated from the wreck with the 'jaws of life,'" County Fire Chief Daryl Osby later noted that firefighters simply used an ax and other tools to remove Woods from the severely damaged vehicle. Woods traveled to California for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades. One day before the crash, he played a round of golf with Spade and Wade. "Tiger, thank you for teaching me something," the NBA star wrote via Instagram hours before the accident made headlines. Both Legs Were Injured
The Los Angeles Times reported on Tuesday that Woods' injuries consisted of a shattered ankle and two leg fractures, one of which was a compound fracture. He was transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. INSTARimages.com
Conscious at the Scene
Deputy Carlos Gonzalez, who arrived at the wreck, claimed in a press conference on Tuesday that the 11-time PGA Player of the Year "seemed as though he was lucid and calm" and was able to tell the officer his name. Woods was in the drivers' seat when the car flipped several times and "didn't seem concerned about his injuries at the time, which is not uncommon in traffic collisions," Gonzalez explained. Not Under the Influence
Villaneuva added that there were "no skid marks" on the road, indicating that Woods didn't try to slow down before crashing his vehicle. Though he was traveling at a "relatively greater speed than normal," there was "no evidence of impairment." The golf pro was also wearing his seatbelt, which authorities think saved his life. "The front end was totally destroyed, the bumpers, everything totally destroyed, airbags deployed, all of that," Villanueva said on Tuesday. "However, thankfully the interior was more or less intact, which kind of gave him the cushion to survive what otherwise would have been a fatal crash." Ryan Kang/AP/Shutterstock
Recovering After Surgery
A statement uploaded to Woods' Twitter account on Tuesday night thanked fans for their "overwhelming support" following the accident and shared an update on his progress. "He has undergone a long surgical procedure on his lower right leg and ankle after being brought to the hospital," the statement noted. "He is currently awake, responsive and recovering in a hospital room." ETIENNE LAURENT/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
‘Purely an Accident’
While fielding questions about the wreck on the police department's Facebook page on Wednesday, Villanueva ensured the public that Woods would not be charged with reckless driving. "This is purely an accident," the sheriff stated. "We do not contemplate any charges whatsoever in this crash. This remains an accident. An accident is not a crime." Villanueva also reiterated that "there was no evidence of any impairment" from alcohol or "medication, narcotics, or anything like that." JUSTIN LANE/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
A New Hospital
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center’s interim CEO, Dr. Anish Mahajan, announced via the hospital’s Twitter account on Thursday, February 25, that Woods had been transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. to continue “orthopedic care and recovery.” Mark Newcombe/Shutterstock
On the Mend
L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputy John Schloegl gave an update on Woods’ condition on March 3, saying in a press conference, “I understand he is resting comfortably, he is healing.” After Woods’ surgery the week prior, the deputy added: “He is in good spirits, which is a good sign, and hopefully he’ll get himself back on his feet at some point down the road.” Asanka Brendon Ratnayake/Shutterstock
Back Home
Woods revealed on March 16 that he’d left the hospital. “Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery,” he tweeted. “I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks.” He also thanked the “incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff” for taking “such great care” of him and concluded, “I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.” Aflo/Shutterstock
The Investigation Continues
Disturbing new details emerged about the accident on March 20, with law enforcement sources telling TMZ the crash investigation revealed that Woods started speeding up shortly before the crash, but there was no evidence that he took his foot off the accelerator. “Investigators believe Tiger did nothing to prevent the crash once he lost control of the vehicle,” TMZ reported. The golfer was cleared at the scene of drug or alcohol impairment, but according to documents obtained by CNN, he had no memory of the accident and “did not remember driving.” Ringo H W Chiu/AP/Shutterstock
What Was the Cause?
More than one month after the crash made headlines, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that their investigation was complete and that the cause of the accident had been determined. However, they would not be presenting the findings to the public due to "some privacy issues" on Woods' end. Speed Media/Shutterstock
Excessive Speed
Lomita Sheriff’s Captain James Powers revealed in a press conference in April 2021 that the golfer was going between 82 and 86 mph at the time of the crash, which played a part in the dangerous accident. “The cause of the collision was the speed and inability to maintain the roadway,” Powers said. Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva added that Woods will not face citations or charges for speeding in the 45-mph zone. Shutterstock (2)
Work in Progress
“My course is coming along faster than I am 😃,” Woods joked via Instagram on April 23. “But it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend.” The golfer shared a photo of himself standing with crutches and a boot on his right foot on the green with his dog beside him. First Interview
Woods gave his first interview following the accident in May 2021, telling Golf Digest that the recovery from these injuries has "been an entirely different animal." The athlete, who had no comment about whether he'd be able to return to golf again, added "I understand more of the rehab processes because of my past injuries, but this was more painful than anything I have ever experienced." Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Still Healing
In June 2021, an insider exclusively told Us that the athlete has been focusing on his recovery during "twice-daily physical therapy" sessions, but the "agonizing" process has been slow going. "It's been a two steps forward, three steps back situation," the source added. "He's had several surgeries on his right leg, and after his second surgery, healing was much more difficult." When it comes to returning to the golfing green, the source explained, "He wants to be able to walk without assistance before he makes any announcements." Andrew Gombert/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
Back at It
The athlete shared a glimpse of himself hitting balls on a golf course in November 2021, revealing that he is “making progress” in his game. Woods posted a three-second clip via his Instagram that showed him wearing a leg brace while swinging his golf club. Courtesy of Tiger Woods/Instagram

Jen Shah's Legal Drama: Everything We Know So Far

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 03:32 PM PST

Jen Shah was indicted for her alleged role in a long-running telemarketing scheme while filming season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — and all eyes are on the Bravo star as she faces up to 50 years in prison.

Bravo viewers met Shah during season 1 of RHOSLC, which filmed in 2019 and aired in 2020. She quickly became a polarizing character on the franchise, with fans questioning her job and need for several assistants.

"People will come to me and I'll invest in their companies, so we have a got a lot of different investments, all different kinds of things," Shah said of her career on Access Hollywood's "Housewives Nightcap" in November 2020. "I've been able to do it because what I've been able to carve out, the niche I've been able to carve out in the direct response marketing world."

Not long after production began on season 2 of RHOSLC, which also stars Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow and Mary Cosby, news broke on March 30 that Shah and one of her assistants who appeared on the show, Stuart Smith, were arrested in Utah.

"Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on 'reality' television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah's 'first assistant,' allegedly generated and sold 'lead lists' of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam," Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a press release. "In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims' money. Now, these defendants face time in prison for their alleged crimes."

HSI Special Agent-in-Charge Peter C. Fitzhugh claimed that Shah and Smith "built their opulent lifestyle at the expense of vulnerable, often elderly, working-class people."

"Shah and Smith objectified their very real human victims as 'leads' to be bought and sold, offering their personal information for sale to other members of their fraud ring," Fitzhugh said. "Working with our partners at the NYPD and the United States Attorney's Office, SDNY, and with the assistance of HSI Salt Lake City, HSI New York worked to ensure that Shah and Smith will answer for their alleged crimes. As a result, their new reality may very well turn out differently than they expected."

A source told Us Weekly at the time that Shah is "embarrassed" by the scandal, which included NYPD detectives, Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York working together.

"Jen is really humiliated that all of this is happening in the public eye and that it will be shown on Bravo," the source told Us on March 31, noting at the time that Shah hasn't "been talking to her castmates or friends" following her arrest.

Scroll through for a breakdown of the charges and everything we know about Shah's legal drama:

This is an ongoing article that was originally published in March 2021 and last updated on Friday, November 19.

Jen's Job in Her Own Words
“I own three different marketing companies and we do lead generation, data monetization, customer acquisition. The best way to describe it is, I’m the Wizard of Oz, I’m the one behind the curtain that no one knows exists but I’m the one making everything happen,” Shah told Access Hollywood in November 2020. “So, ads are popping to you guys and they’re like, ‘How the hell do they know I’m shopping at Neiman Marcus?’ That’s me.” She continued: “If you think about it, you know how much traffic is on the internet every second, all the people clicking. I’m making money on every click, anytime you click on anything I’m getting some money. I think because I’ve been blessed to be successful with my marketing background and my companies, I’ve really found a niche within the direct response marketing world. I’ve been able to branch out and invest in our fashion company, our skincare line, our lash line.”   Rick Bowmer/AP/Shutterstock
The Timeline
According to the press release, Shah and Smith’s alleged involvement in the scheme stems back to 2012. While they were indicted in March 2021, the case dates back to 2019 and 10 others — Anthony Cheedie, Chad Allen, Shane Hanna Cameron Brewster, Kevin Handren, Joseph Ciaccio, Joseh Minetto, Joseph Depaola, Derek Larkin and Mattie Cirilo — who were previously charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing. Filming 'RHOSLC' Season 2
Us confirmed that the Bravo cameras were rolling on the day of Shah’s arrest. “Jen was filming with a few of the other women present when she was arrested. The women were completely shocked when Jen was taken away,” the source told Us, noting that the group was gearing up for a trip to Colorado at the time. Another source told Us on March 31 that the cast “resumed filming after Jen’s arrest” without her. “Jen’s future this season remains unclear. If she will go back to filming or not, no one is really sure, she hasn’t resumed filming yet,” the source said at the time. Chad Kirkland/Bravo
The 1st Court Appearance
Following Shah’s arrest, she appeared before a Utah judge on March 30. The judge set the following conditions for her and Smith: must commit no federal offense upon release, must appear as required, no traveling outside of Utah with the exception of New York City court, no international travel, no contact with co-defendants and no engagement in telemarketing. They were subsequently seen leaving the Utah court and ignored all reporters' questions as they headed to their cars. Bravo
The Arraignment
Shah was set to be arraigned virtually on March 31 but couldn’t dial in because too many people were on the line. Judge Sidney Stein subsequently decided to continue Shah and Smith's arraignment to April 2 at 11 a.m. ET. Heidi Gutman/Bravo
The Plea
Shah called into her hearing on April 2 and pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. She sought counsel from her local Utah lawyer, Clayton Simms, and from known white collar crime defense attorney Henry Asbill, who works out of Washington, D.C. The government described the scandal as a $5,000,000 money laundering scheme. Courtesy of hairbyendo/Instagram
Bail Conditions
During the April 2 hearing, the judge set Shah’s bail at $1 million, giving her one week to pay the required $250,000 “to secure that bond in cash or property.” "There is a risk of flight here. It's not insubstantial,” the judge said. “I’m going to release her on the following conditions: I am going to require a personal recognizance bond of $1 million. I am going to require $250,000 to secure that bond in cash or property. She will have one week to comply." Shah’s lawyer then asked for two weeks to secure the bond, which the judge approved, but noted that Shah must sign the $1 million personal recognizance bond by the end of the day. Other conditions of her bail included no drug use or excessive alcohol, not being allowed to open any bank accounts and continued mental health treatments.  Bravo
Jen's Assets
The Bravo star’s attorney told the court that Shah doesn’t own her home — which was labeled as “Jen’s Chalet” on the series — or any real property. The government also alleged that she has not willingly disclosed her assets amid the investigation. When asked about her employment outside of telemarketing, her lawyer told the judge, “She's in the fashion business and on a news show as well … The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City." Trial Date
During the April hearing, a judge set a trial date for October 18, 2021, noting that may change due to COVID protocols. During the August hearing, the trial was postponed until March 2022 following updated COVID-19 standards. Courtesy of hairbyendo/Instagram
Filming Update
A source told Us exclusively in April that RHOSLC is “still filming” amid Shah’s legal drama. “Production sees this as a great storyline. One that everyone will want to see unfold,” the insider said. “It’s ratings gold. They're going to use as much footage as they can that they're legally allowed to use.” Fred Hayes/Bravo
Request Denied
Shah filed a motion to dismiss her case, but it was denied by the judge in August 2021, Us Weekly confirms. In her initial ask, she was hoping charges would be dismissed. Additionally, her attorney, Daniel R. Alonso, along with colleagues Henry W. Asbill and Michael S. Chum, announced their resignation. Shah has retained attorney Priya Chaudhry, of ChaudhryLaw PLLC, to represent her in the case moving forward, according to the court documents. Rick Bowmer/AP/Shutterstock
The Day of Arrest
The lead-up to Shah's arrest by members of Homeland Security and the New York Police Department appeared in a season 2 episode of the series, which aired in November 2021. In the moments before she was taken into custody, Shah told her RHOSLC castmates that she was unable to go on a trip with them to Vail, Colorado, because her husband was suffering from a medical emergency. “I have some bad news,” she told costarGay as the cameras rolled pre-departure. “I just got a phone call and Sharrieff Sr.’s in the hospital. He has internal bleeding, so I need to go.” After telling Gay that the doctors weren’t “sure if they’re going to need to do surgery,” she shared the bad news with Rose, Barlow and Jennie Nguyen, who were on the bus getting ready to leave. Nearly 15 minutes later, the authorities pulled into the parking lot of Gay’s beauty clinic. “Is this a prank?” Rose asked. “Is Jen playing a prank on us, though?” Andrew Peterson/Bravo
The Reactions
During a November 2021 episode of RHOSLC, Shah's costars were left in shock after Homeland Security showed up looking for her. "Other than our families, there was seven people that knew we were meeting at Beauty Lab today. I can't imagine anyone here would turn Jen in, but this looks really sus[picious]," Lisa Barlow noted in a confessional after Whitney Rose suggested that "someone told" the authorities where to find Shah. "I don't know anything, but I have a lot of questions around, like, Jen's lifestyle," Rose continued. "It intrigues me where she gets all of her money and all of her things from." Meredith Marks said in a FaceTime call with the cast that she was "not surprised" by the arrest, adding, "Too many things didn't add up and I've suspected that something was going on for a while. And now, it's validated that I was right [and] I'm not crazy. That's the bottom line." Chad Kirkland/Bravo(3)
A Codefendant’s Sentence
In November 2021, Joseph Ciaccio, who was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing in 2019, was sentenced to time served. According to attorney Ronald Richards, Ciaccio received the sentence because a recent car accident left him paraplegic. "Judge was very compassionate about it and did not follow the government recommendation and sentenced him below guidelines," Richards tweeted. Courtesy of Jen Shah/Instagram
Smith Changes His Plea
Smith, the assistant who was arrested and charged with Shah, changed his plea in November 2021 after initially pleading not guilty. “He pleaded guilty to three counts: conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction of justice,” Richards told Us at the time. “He admitted to hiding ownership and money, defrauding elderly people and lying to the Federal Trade Commission in a deposition, which constituted perjury." Smith will be sentenced in March 2022 after his former boss' trial. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Bravo
‘The Housewife & the Shah Shocker’ Case Shake-Up
Following the release of The Housewife & the Shah Shocker, a documentary that explored Shah's legal issues with interviews from alleged victims and government agents, the Bravo personality requesting that her charges.Shah's legal team claimed that the ABC News doc would ruin her chance at an unbiased jury pool because everyone could access The Housewife & the Shah Shocker ahead of her trial."Ms. Shah respectfully requests that the Court grant her leave to file a motion to dismiss the indictment," the court documents obtained by Us in December read. "Given both the extensive viewership of Hulu nationwide and Ms. Shah’s public notoriety, a change in venue would not protect Ms. Shah’s rights, nor would alternative remedies such as a detailed voir dire or emphatic jury instructions." The US Attorney responded to the motion stating that there was no basis to drop the legal case, to which Shah's attorneys called out the government officials that participated in the Hulu project. "Make no mistake, the Government cannot shift the blame to Hulu or ABC News for the manner in which the final program was edited," the RHOSLC star's response argued. "The Government and its agents publicly expressed their opinions to the press about a pending case, therefore the Government is fully accountable for all that followed. Like any wrongdoer, the Government is entirely responsible for the entire damage caused by its violation of the rules."  Fred Hayes/Bravo
Trouble at Home?
In December 2021, a source exclusively told Us that the drama of the past year had "put a strain on" Jen's marriage to Sharrieff. "It's been a very stressful time," the insider explained. Despite the difficulty, however, the duo were still trying to make it work. "[Coach Shah] is there for Jen and is supporting her through all of this," the source said. "They have a lot of love for each other. They've been through therapy, which really helped, and now, they are stronger than where they were months ago." Bravo/YouTube

Kelly Clarkson, Brandon Blackstock's Divorce to Be Heard by Private Judge

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 02:55 PM PST

Kelly Clarkson's split from Brandon Blackstock is providing the singer with a lot of material for her next album as the pair battle it out in court.

Clarkson and Blackstock tied the knot in October 2013 after two years together.

"I'm too happy. He's ruining my creativity," she gushed to Us Weekly before they exchanged vows. "I'm writing all this happy s—t. It's killing me."

The twosome went on to welcome daughter River in 2014 and son Remington in April 2016. The talent manager also shares daughter Savannah and son Seth with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth.

"I think parenting changes you in the best of ways," Clarkson told Us in February 2020. "It's made me stronger, but it's definitely hard. It's the hardest job out of all the jobs. … I think it makes you selfless. It makes you really prioritize."

Us confirmed in June 2020 that Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock after nearly seven years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences." The news came after the family of four spent several months living in Montana amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"I mean, it's no secret. My life has been a little bit of a dumpster," the "Stronger" songstress told Willie Geist in September 2020. "Personally, it's been a little hard the last couple of months. I've been talking to friends that have been through divorce. I don't know how people go through that without having some kind of outlet because it is the worst thing ever for everyone involved."

That same month, Clarkson noted that she was trying to "navigate" going through a public split.

"You can ask anyone who's gone through a divorce, I don't think anyone expects it," she told Hoda Kotb on the Today show. "You see yourself growing old with someone and then life has a different path. It's so hard on everyone, and you know me, I'm really open. I try to be open and share … We all go through things. But at the same time, we have four kids total with each other. That's a lot of hearts involved, and you just have to be really careful. … We're in the public eye so that's hard too, to try and be truthful but also keep your privacy."

The Money
After Us confirmed the talk show host was ordered to pay her estranged husband nearly $200,000 in monthly support, a source clarified that the pair hadn't yet reached a "formal settlement" before finalizing their divorce. "It's expected to happen soon," the insider noted in July 2021, adding that their "prenup is not being contested, despite reports." FF-USA.com/MEGA; Jason Mendez/startraksphoto.com
The Reason for the Split
“They clashed on so many levels, and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return. So she filed for divorce,” a source close to Clarkson told Us in June 2020. “Everyone thought Kelly and Brandon had the perfect marriage, but they definitely didn’t. Brandon’s very laid-back, whereas Kelly’s pretty high-strung.” The source added that Clarkson spending more time in California “changed things” between them. Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Father-in-Law Drama
Brandon’s father Narvel Blackstock’s company, Starstruck Management Group, sued Clarkson in September 2020, claiming that their longtime client owes them $1.4 million in unpaid commissions in addition to the $1.9 million she already paid. Clarkson has been working with her father-in-law’s company since 2007. The paperwork also alleged that the American Idol alum has not paid the total commission for her work on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Voice in 2020, claiming she will owe the group at least $5.4 million by the end the year. The “Since U Been Gone” singer countersued Starstruck in November 2020. In her docs, Clarkson accused the management group of violating the California Labor Code by “procuring, offering, promising, or attempting to procure employment or engagements” without being properly licensed. Narvel fired back in a statement at the time: “[Clarkson's petition] conveniently ignores the fact that Kelly had her own licensed talent agency [Creative Artists Agency] at all times. While Starstruck Management Group provided talent management services on her behalf, it did so at all times that CAA was her agency of record," he continued. "It is unfortunate that Kelly is again attempting to avoid paying commissions that are due and owing to Starstruck to try and achieve some perceived advantage in her ongoing custody and divorce proceedings." The Custody Agreement
Us confirmed in November 2020 that Clarkson was granted primary custody of daughter River and son Remington. “The Court finds that under the circumstances present in this case, the interest in providing stability and continuity for the minor children weighs in favor of Petitioner having primary custody,” the doc read. “The level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time coparenting due to issues of trust between them.” The former couple will share joint physical and legal custody of their kids and Blackstock will FaceTime the kids every day “at a mutually agreed upon time,” per the paperwork. Shutterstock (2)
L.A. vs. Montana
While Clarkson lives in Los Angeles for work, Blackstock plans to live in Montana. As a result, he will have to travel to California to have his two youngest children on the first and fifth weekends of the month in L.A., and the third weekend in Montana. "The court finds that the minor children are not now and have not been residents of Montana and that California is their home state,” the docs read. The Holiday Breakdown
The November 2020 docs revealed River and Remington spent Thanksgiving with their dad. Looking ahead to Christmas, Blackstock will have custody of their kids from December 19 through 25 at 2 p.m. until they are returned to Clarkson for the remainder of their school break through the New Year. The exes are set to split spring break, with Clarkson having the children on Easter Sunday in April 2021. Faye Sadou/Media Punch/INSTARimages.com
The Spousal Support
While Clarkson asked the court to enforce their prenuptial agreement and block spousal support, TMZ reports that he is seeking $436,000 a month —$301,000 in spousal support and $135,000 in child support — from the musician. He is also asking for Clarkson to pay his $2 million attorney fees. Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Coparenting
Like several celebrity couples, Blackstock and Clarkson are expected to use Our Family Wizard to “share calendars and documents regarding the children, including “significant school events, doctors appointments and therapist appointments.” Eric Charbonneau/Shutterstock
Kelly's New Music
It's likely fans will get more insight into their split while listening to Clarkson’s upcoming ninth album. “This next record, this will probably be the most personal one I’ve ever released,” she teased during an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist in September 2020. “The whole record is basically every emotion you experience from the beginning of a relationship to the end of what it is now or where it is now. It’s been very therapeutic for me. It’s very honest.” NBC
The Hardest Part
“It’s horrible. There are so many hard parts. The hardest for me is the kids. That’s the hardest for me,” Clarkson said on her talk show in December 2020. "I think as women we are trained … to take it all on and you can deal with it and you’re fine, but it’s your babies that you worry about.” Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Work Drama
Us Weekly confirmed in December 2020 that the musician filed legal documents with the California Labor Commission in October, alleging that Brandon and his father Narvel’s Starstruck Management company defrauded her by charging her outlandish fees during her 13 years with the team. Clarkson claimed that her agreement with the management company was a “fraudulent and subterfuge device” that allowed her managers to perform “illegal services” as agents, which they were never licensed as in the state of California. The singer is seeking payment from all of the fees she paid out to the company over the years. Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Firing Back
Us confirmed in January 2021 that Brandon filed a response to Clarkson’s claims of defraud in November 2020. In the petition, which was filed with the California Labor Commission, Brandon denied all of Clarkson’s claims and said she was not entitled to any money that he, his father or their company earned while working with her for 13 years. Brandon’s attorneys argued that the father-son pair and their company are not subject to the Talent Agencies Act because they did not perform their duties in California. They also said that if Clarkson were to prove her claims of the pair performing “illegal services” as unlicensed agents in California, Brandon’s attorneys would argue that she can only claim commissions for one year prior to her October 2020 filing, based on the one-year statute of limitations in the Talent Agencies Act. Brandon asked that Clarkson’s petition be dismissed and that she pay for his attorney fees. Rob Latour/Shutterstock; Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Making a Change
In documents obtained by Us in July 2021, Clarkson and her lawyer filed a motion for a separate trial to terminate her marital status. While Clarkson's divorce proceedings continue, she would be legally considered single. The paperwork also included a notice from the court that suggests that both parties meet to resolve the issues currently still pending in their divorce. In the docs, Clarkson claimed she "has made good faith efforts to settle" while her estranged husband and his attorneys "have no intention of reaching a global settlement of this matter anytime soon." "Irreconcilable differences have existed and continue to exist between [Brandon] and me, which have caused our marriage to irretrievably break down,” Clarkson wrote in the docs. “No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time. There will be no prejudice to [Brandon] if our marriage is immediately dissolved. I have been attempting to reach a global settlement on this matter with [Brandon] since I led for divorce in June 2020. [Brandon] and I both deserve the opportunity to build a new life. Therefore, I am asking that my request to bifurcate and terminate marital status be granted." Us confirmed in September 2021 that both Clarkson and Blackstock were declared legally single one month prior. imageSPACE/Shutterstock
Spousal Support
Us confirmed in July 2021, a Los Angeles County Court has ruled that starting on April 1, 2021, the “Miss Independent” singer became required to pay Blackstock $150,000 per month in spousal support. According to court docs obtained by The Blast, Clarkson must pay the talent manager $45,601 per month in child support bringing the total owed to Blackstock each month to $195,601. Shutterstock (2)
The Montana Ranch
Court documents obtained by Us in August 2021 revealed that Clarkson wanted to sell the Montana ranch that the couple shared during their marriage, but her request was denied. Blackstock has been living at the property, which according to the court costs $81,000 per month to maintain. The music manager is also planning a career change. During hearings in February and March, he testified that he plans to leave the entertainment industry to become a full-time rancher and rodeo sponsor.  "The evidence in this case shows that after the date of Separation, Respondent made a very deliberate choice to change his life and become a rancher full-time," the judge wrote in court documents filed in August. "He testified that he is not devoting any effort toward expanding his client list and music management business. ... Respondent has made a very deliberate choice, that he testified he planned for a long time, to significantly change his lifestyle from primarily working in the music and entertainment industry to working in an agriculture community and lifestyle involved in full-time ranch and cattle work."  The judge ordered that Blackstock must pay the maintenance costs associated with the ranch. If he fails to do so, Clarkson can file another motion to sell the property.  That same month, Clarkson was granted most of the couple’s assets, including the Montana ranch where Blackstock was residing at the time. The performer filed an objection later that month to clarify the ownership division of the Montana properties. According to legal documents obtained by Us, the prior order referred to all of the properties as the Montana Ranch, but there were, in fact, four separate properties. Two of the properties have Clarkson listed as the only owner, but under the premarital agreement the "ownership is based on capital contributions," meaning based on who put in more money into each property.     Rob Latour/Shutterstock; Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Finalizing Things
According to August 2021 court docs, Clarkson and Blackstock’s “marital or domestic partnership status” will end on January 7, 2022. Rob Latour/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock
A New Judge
During a November 2021 hearing, a privately compensated temporary judge was appointed to hear the estranged couple’s divorce proceedings, according to the court docs obtained by Us. Trae Patton/NBC; AFF-USA.com/MEGA

Fans of the 90 Day Fiancé stars noticed that Hazel, 28, recently changed her Instagram bio, which now reads, “A real man wouldn’t abuse his women mentally and emotionally. Real man don’t run his mouth n social media, wait tell I’m ok. Thruth [sic] will prevail #facts.”

Tarik, 46, posted a since-deleted screenshot of Hazel’s Instagram profile on Wednesday, December 8, writing, “Not true and you know it. I still will not bash you or air out your personal life.”

Although the Philippines native has not yet responded to her estranged husband, she has shared several quotes via her Instagram story that hint at her state of mind.

“Work at being calm about everting, it will allow your mind to find solutions. Calmness is also a state of trust. Instead of overthinking and overreacting, you just surrender for that moment and allow guidance for what doesn’t make sense,” one of the posts read via her Instagram Stories.

The TLC personality also shared a quote that stated, “You can’t always be nice. That’s how people take advantage of you. Sometimes you have to set the boundaries.”

The duo’s social media activity comes after Tarik announced that he and Hazel were no longer together.

“Hazel does not live with me anymore. She said she is [in] another state with people I don’t know. She is going back to the Philippines. I do know that bc she has no choice,” he wrote via his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, December 7. “Please do not attack her or harass her like you’ve been doing for the last 3 years.”

Viewers watched the pair form a bond during season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2018. After Tarik visited Hazel in the Philippines, the twosome started dating and tied the knot on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé.

Before their nuptials played out on screen in March, Tarik revealed that the couple had developed a romance with a woman named Minty.

During a December 2020 episode, Tarik noted that he first made contact with the woman amid a strain in his relationship with Hazel, which he later told his then-fiancée about, recalling, “I said, 'Look, I'm gonna be straight-up honest with you. I started talking online, you know, to this girl.’ She was like, 'I wanna see all the pictures, I wanna see all the text messages.' I was like, 'OK, I ain't got nothing to hide.' And then, she was like, 'She's beautiful, and I might wanna talk to her.' … Like, holler at her."

That same month, the reality stars opened up about how they made their non-traditional take on marriage work for them.

“Hazel told me that she kind of went through some drama with her ex because he was not accepting of [her bisexuality] and he basically told her she was a walking body of sin, and just really hurtful stuff. And I think that further made Hazel kind of close up and never want to tell anyone again,” Tarik detailed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight in December 2020, “So when she told me, I was like, ‘Well, I’m glad you felt the need to tell me upfront and not only do I not care, I want you to be yourself. I don’t care what anyone says.’ Obviously, her family is very religious and I’m like, ‘I’m with you. However you want to do this.'”

Hazel, for her part, shared how being honest with Tarik allowed her to feel “free to be” her true self, noting, “I’m glad because finally I found a guy that really accepts me and especially my son, and now I’m not shy for being me.”

Proud of her modern-day Brady Bunch. Gina Kirschenheiter gives boyfriend Travis Mullen "a lot of credit" for helping her and Matt Kirschenheiter make amends after the Real Housewives of Orange County star accused her ex-husband of domestic violence.

The Messiest Bravo Breakups of All Time

"[Travis] is just really on it," the Bravo personality, 37, exclusively tells Us Weekly of her beau. "He has a very strong, moral compass. He’s really about what’s in the best interest of the kids and he really loves me. So when I’m starting to get hot or I would, you know, be like, 'Oh, I want to kill Matt or whatever,' he’s the person, the driving force, that's like, 'Yeah, but you don’t want to do that because that’s not the best play here and that’s not going to benefit you and that's going to push you guys further away from each other and you need to come together for the kids.'"

Gina further explained that Travis, whom she's been dating since mid-2019, is her sounding board when she gets "angry" at her ex.

"To have somebody say, 'I understand you’re frustrated, but think about the bigger picture and what you really want,' is very important, very instrumental in us being able to move stuff," she told Us. "Like someone takes a shot, you don’t have to take the shot back. And then eventually you just stopped taking shots at each other and then it’s better. I’m proud of that and I am so happy about that. And I am proud of myself and Matt for being able to coparent, but I do give credit to Travis for that. A lot of credit."

Despite Matt rarely appearing on RHOC, the former couple's marital woes, including the aftermath of his domestic violence arrest, were documented on the series. Gina, who shares Nicholas, 8, Sienna, 6, and Luca, 5, with Matt, told the judge that she thought she was "going to die" while giving her emotional victim impact statement at his April hearing.

Matt pleaded guilty to domestic battery charges at the time. Gina subsequently dropped the temporary domestic violence restraining order against him in June.

"We’re really great. We get along really well," Gina told Us of her relationship with her ex now. "I probably took a lot of that out on [Travis] and that’s probably not right. And the fact that he is willing to be there and help me get through to the other side is really amazing. [He's a] great person. And I really thank him for that because these are really hard things to go through and they’re really complicated and they’re really stressful and I’m very, very thankful to be on the other side of it. … [The kids are] so good. They’re so cute. They’re getting so big."

While Gina told Us that doesn't know whether she can "make a commitment to being pregnant" and breast-feeding if she and Mullen decided to expand their family, they have their hands full with her three kids and Mullen's two daughters and son.

"[We'd have to really think about] the dynamics of what that would do the family. We have two different sets of children," she explained. "I don’t want anyone to think, like, ‘This the golden baby.' … It’s a lot of dynamics to think about and just potentially disrupt and we’re really happy."

Tom Girardi's Brother Robert Will Represent Him in Erika Jayne Divorce

A big change. Tom Girardi will now represent himself — through his brother and conservator Robert Girardi — in his divorce from Erika Jayne.

The former lawyer, 82, filed a substitution of attorney on Tuesday, December 7, indicating that his previous representative, Michael L. Abrams, is no longer attached to the case. Tom will instead represent himself, but because he is currently under a conservatorship, his brother Robert will be acting on his behalf. According to the Los Angeles Times, Robert is a dentist.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 50, filed for divorce in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage. "After much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi," she said in a statement at the time. "This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together.”

Three months later, a judge temporarily appointed Tom’s brother to take control of his daily activities and personal care after the Colorado native suffered a medical emergency. In July, the conservatorship was made permanent because of Tom’s diagnosis of dementia and late-onset Alzheimer’s.

During a June court hearing, Tom expressed his displeasure with the situation, saying, “Obviously, I disagree with the conservatorship altogether.” At the time, he said that he planned to “put together the reasons why the conservatorship should be dissolved” and address the court again.

In addition to the ongoing divorce proceedings, Tom’s former law firm, Girardi Keese, has been the center of a complex legal battle since last year. Though neither he nor Erika have been charged with a crime, both have been the target of a lawsuit alleging that they misappropriated funds intended for victims of a plane crash.

The Pretty Mess author repeatedly denied that she knew anything about her estranged husband’s finances. "What's being said is just, I mean, it's insane," Erika said during the July 14 episode of RHOBH. "That lawsuit that says my divorce is a sham so I could hide assets — people want to believe that. … I could have never predicted this f—king s—t."

Several months later, the former Broadway star addressed whether she thinks Tom is guilty during the RHOBH reunion.

"It does not look good. However, we still need to get to the bottom of it. Only one side of the story has been told," she told Andy Cohen in October. "I feel terrible. This is not who I am. And I hope this is not who he is. … I hope that he has not done what is alleged here."

Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s Divorce, Legal Woes: Everything We Know

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 02:02 PM PST

Pat the … divorce papers. After Erika Jayne went to court to end her marriage to Tom Girardi, Bravo fans were shocked to learn that what seemed like one of the strongest couples in Real Housewives history was not so picture-perfect after all.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced in November 2020 that she and the powerhouse attorney had called it quits after 21 years of marriage. A source later told Us Weekly exclusively, "Erika and Tom had an unconventional marriage, spending a lot of time apart."

Erika, who shares adult son Tommy with ex-husband Thomas Zizzo, met Tom in the late 1990s while waitressing at one of his favorite West Hollywood hot spots, Chasen's. One year later, she decided to give him her phone number, and he subsequently reached out to her through his secretary.

"I told her, 'Tell Mr. Girardi if he wants to take me out on a date, he needs to call me himself and ask me and give me enough time to prepare,'" the Bravo personality recalled in her 2018 memoir, Pretty Mess. "You know how men are, especially if they are successful. They expect you to drop everything right away. That's not how I work, I don't care who you are."

Six months into their relationship, Erika and the lawyer got engaged. They married in January 1999.

"For the first 10 years of our marriage, I was by Tom's side," the "XXPEN$IVE" singer said in a February 2017 episode of RHOBH. "I was even the first lady of a couple legal organizations. Imagine that!"

Listen to Ramona Singer tell Us Weekly editors what it was like filming season 13 of ROHNY during COVID-19.

Due to Tom's high-power job, he has only made a few appearances on the reality series since Erika joined the cast in 2015. It is likely that their divorce will play out during season 11, which began filming in early October 2020.

"People are always like, 'Oh, you guys don't see each other a lot.' But when we do see each other, it's 100 percent, full-on attention," the former Chicago star said in the February 2017 episode. "This is what people don't understand. It's not a detriment to the relationship. It's actually helpful. It's better than someone being in your face all the time and you're not even present."

This is an ongoing article that was originally published in November 2020 and last updated on Wednesday, December 8.

Erika Broke It Off
The Atlanta native confirmed in a statement to Us in November 2020 that she “decided to end” her marriage to Tom “after much consideration.” She added, “This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together. It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserve. I request others give us that privacy as well.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock
They Were on Different Paths
A source exclusively told Us in November 2020 that it was not uncommon for the now-estranged couple to go “several months” without seeing each other. “They would travel separately. Tom gave Erika a very lavish lifestyle, and she enjoyed it,” the insider said. “Erika has gained independence and confidence from being on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The exposure it has given for her singing career has given Erika a much larger fan base.” Bravo
They Don't Have a Prenup
Erika told Andy Cohen in June 2017 that she and Tom never signed a prenuptial agreement. “I’m married to a very powerful lawyer. A prenup wouldn’t stand in his way anyway,” she said at the time. “So it doesn’t matter whether you had one or you didn’t, it’s gonna be all Tom’s way, I assure you.” Bravo
The Fraud Lawsuit
Erika and Tom were hit with a lawsuit in December 2020 that accused them of embezzling settlement funds intended to help the families of Lion Air Flight 610 victims. In federal court documents obtained by Us, the class action firm Edelson PC claimed that the estranged couple’s divorce is “a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika’s money” and that they “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds.” Erika and Tom did not immediately comment on the allegations. Erika's Testimony
According to the Los Angeles Times, Erika was called to testify in the fraud case in May 2020 and September 2020 — before she filed for divorce that November. She was out of town on both occasions and her hearing was rescheduled for January 2021, but she's yet to testify.  Jen Lowery/MEGA
Erika Wants Spousal Support
Erika requested spousal support from Tom in November 2020, according to court documents obtained by Us, in which she citied “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. She also asked Tom to pay her attorney’s fees and demanded that the court block her estranged husband from seeking spousal support from her. Tom Does Not Want to Pay Spousal Support
In November 25, 2020, court documents obtained by Us, Tom requested to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Erika. He also asked her to pay his legal fees. Shutterstock (2)
The Truth About Tom's Finances
Tom told the court in September 2020 that he has “maybe a couple thousand” dollars in a personal bank account, adding that his stock portfolio of millions was “all gone.”  He said: “At one point I had about $80 million or $50 million in cash. That’s all gone. I don’t have any money.” He added that he hasn’t “taken a penny in salary out of the firm for more than two years.”   Shutterstock; Bravo
Frozen Assets
In December 2020, a judge in Chicago seized Tom's assets after allegations that the estranged couple withheld $2 million in client funds following the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 crash. Tom did not attend the contempt hearing at the time, but instead called into the proceedings.  Bravo
Tom's 'Illness'
According to court documents obtained by Us, Tom was secretly hospitalized for a “serious illness” in 2020. An attorney at his firm brought up the illness during a December court date, telling the judge that Tom was “unavailable in recent weeks due to a serious illness that caused him to be hospitalized for which he sought treatment.” The paperwork stated Tom “couched everything” related to the fraud case in July 2020 because he was forced to be away from his firm amid his hospitalization. He also cited his illness as the cause of the “mistake” of not getting some of the families paid in full. The Los Angeles Times also reported that one of Tom’s attorneys believed he should be subject to a mental examination. "I'm unsure that he understands either the nature or the gravity of the current situation," the lawyer told the judge, noting the team is concerned about his mental competency. In January 2021, his brother Robert Girardi claimed Tom was suffering from short-term memory loss and requested he become his conservator as Tom is “not capable of making rational decisions” when it comes to his finances.  Edelson suggested that there is more to the story with Tom’s sickness. “I’m not a doctor, I don’t know. But what I can tell you is that it seemed very convenient,” Edelson told Kate Casey in June 2021. “When we put out the facts that we found through our investigation of the types of things he was trying to do, during the time he had Alzheimer’s, where he was really scheming, he was scheming to protect himself from the fraud. He was scheming to try to keep as many possessions as possible, he was scheming to try to sell cases that he had in the pipeline to other firms.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Wells Fargo Suit
The bank is also suing Tom and his Girardi Keese firm, alleging he didn’t make monthly payments for rent, taxes, fees and more on their office. According to the paperwork obtained by Us, the group owes Wells Fargo $882,000. Wells Fargo is also seeking interest at 10 percent per annum from the date of default and wants to seize  Girardi Keese’s Los Angeles and San Bernardino, California, properties.    Shutterstock (2)
Cheating Allegations
Sources told Us in December that Erika believes Tom cheated on her during their 21-year marriage. “Erika is really going through it. She’s very strong, but this has been very hard for her emotionally,” an insider told Us. A second source claimed that rumors that Erika and Tom “had an agreement in terms of being with other people” weren’t true. Tom has yet to comment on the infidelity accusations.   Matt Baron/Shutterstock; YouTube
What Erika Knew
A source told Us that Erika never thought Tom “could be capable of doing what he has been accused of in court.” “Erika was completely unaware of the very serious allegations that were being made against Tom in court,” the source told Us, referring to the fraud accusations. “Tom always handled all of the finances and that was how they handled things. Erika feels betrayed by Tom because she completely trusted him. She is just reeling from all of this, but make no mistake. Erika is a tough cookie and she isn’t stupid. She will get through this.” According to a second source, Erika is still in "disbelief" about the alleged cheating and legal drama: “The legal issues are unfolding one after another and she’s learning as everyone’s filing. As the whole world is finding out about it, she’s finding out about it. She’s reading about it in the press before she even sees it [from her lawyers].” While she has seemingly maintained her innocence in all RHOBH footage, Jay Edelson, the lawyer who filed the class action lawsuit against the pair, claimed she was aware of the scheme. “We believe we’re going to be able to prove that Erika was incredibly involved in not just the law firm, but also, he was loaning money to her company 10s of millions of dollars to her company,” Edelson said on the “Reality Life with Kate Casey” podcast in June 2021. “And we think that money came from client funds. And we’re going to look into all of that. And that’s all going to be, you know, part of proof that we showed to a jury — that she was knee-deep in this fraud, and she can say, ‘Oh, she didn’t know anything about it.’ And I think that’s going be hard for to convince a jury of.” Shutterstock
Cheating Proof?
"This is Justice Tricia A. Bigelow. She was f--king my husband Tom Girardi and he was paying her Saks bill and paying for her plastic surgery," Erika captioned an Instagram post on December 18, sharing screenshots of texts. Shutterstock
Justice Bigelow's Response
The judge’s lawyer released a statement to the L.A. Times, saying, Erika’s “actions in maliciously doxxing the Justice were nothing short of criminal.” The attorney added: “We are considering our options to protect Justice Bigelow from further harassment.” Bravo
Erika's New Digs
According to court documents obtained by Us in January 2021, Erika moved out of her $15 million mansion with Tom and into a three-bedroom house in Los Angeles. The new home is estimated to be worth $2,408,937 or $9,500 a month in rent, per Zillow. Sara De Boer/startraksphoto.com
Back to Court
Tom appeared virtually in court on June 9, 2021, and told the judge he “disagree[d]” with the conservatorship. “I think that we should put together the reasons why the conservatorship should be dissolved, and then we’ll address it, address the court,” he said. “Right now, I have nothing to say to the court.” The judge subsequently ruled that Robert should still be named Tom’s conservator. Erika's Lawyer Files Petition
Us confirmed on June 15, 2021, that Erika’s bankruptcy attorney filed a petition to withdraw his representation of the RHOBH star. Peter Mastan made the move one day after The Housewife and the Hustler started streaming. Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock
The Documentary
Hulu’s The Housewife and the Hustler, which started streaming on June 14, 2021, aired the “never-before-aired deposition tape of Girardi” and featured RHOBH alum Dana Wilkey, Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Danielle Staub and L.A. legal professionals Chris Darden, Brian Kabateck and Neil Wertlieb. In the doc, several of Tom’s alleged victims told their stories, including Joe Ruigomez, who said the former attorney “basically robbed” him from his settlement money after he was severely burned and scarred in 2010’s San Bruno gas pipeline explosion. The Ruigomez family and Josie Hernandez, who hasn’t received a $135,000 settlement owed to her by Girardi Keese, played voicemails from Tom promising to get their money to them as soon as he could. ABC News
Breaking Her Silence
Erika briefly addressed the divorce for the first time on the June 16, 2021, episode of RHOBH. "There's so many layers to this divorce. It's so f—king complicated. It's very difficult to explain,” she told the cameras.  During a promo for the July 14, 2021, episode Erika spoke about the class action lawsuit for the first time. “What’s being said is just, I mean, it’s insane,” she said. “That lawsuit that says my divorce is a sham so I could hide assets — people want to believe that. … I could have never predicted this f—king s—t.”   Shutterstock (2)
Why She Left
She went even more into detail about the separation during the June 23, 2021, episode, telling the cast, "I let go of my Lamborghini. I let go of my 16,000 square foot home. I let go of my marriage. I let go of everything. I literally made a decision that I had to." She also told the cameras that she "left because he pushed me further and further out" and she knew the "marriage was headed down a really sh--ty path." Shutterstock (2)
He Had No Idea
Erika told the women during the June 23, 2021, episode that she "didn't leave a note" and just disappeared, leaving him to get served. “I drove him to work, I told him I loved him and he said, ‘Thanks, hun.’ Like I was an employee," she explained of the last time she'd seen Tom. "I went home and started putting everything in the moving van. I drove off, went to my new place, spent the night there and he was served the next morning.” Kcr/Shutterstock
A Legal Change?
Erika's legal team requested that the judge in her case reconsider appointing Ronald Richards as the bankruptcy trustee lawyer after he made comments about her on social media. Court documents from June 2021 claimed that the attorney "has made false and inflammatory social media posts and public statements" about the RHOBH star. Her lawyers also questioned whether Richards' posts "violate the ethical rules to which he is bound." Richards, for his part, said in a statement to Us that he was "hopeful that Erika’s new attorneys will cooperate with our investigation and we can move forward in a positive direction and complete our work." He added: "The court made no restrictions or gag orders in this case. If those rules change, our speech will change. The case is interesting for the public and I have enjoyed communicating with people all over the world about numerous legal issues. I look forward to working positively with her new attorney." As Richards and Erika continued to fight via social media, she told him he was “finally” on the right track after “a year of looking in the wrong direction” in October 2021 when he posted, “What does [every] attorney who worked at Girardi Keese as either an Associate, quasi Partner, or Manager have in common? Answer: Not one of them has taken responsibility for the clients they were obligated to protect and serve or gifted back any of their bonuses or salaries.” Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/MEGA
New Representation
After Erika's original lawyers filed a petition to be removed from her case — then filed a second motion to stay on the case — the RHOBH star hired a new attorney to represent her. Us confirmed that she filed paperwork in July 2021 notifying the judge that her new lawyer is Evan C. Borges. Mastan, meanwhile, is no longer on the case. Media Punch/INSTARimages.com
The Collections Lawsuit
According to court documents obtained by Us, Erika may have to repay settlement funds intended for Tom’s former clients. A judge ruled on July 6, 2021, that Joe Ruigomez, Jaime Ruigomez and Kathy Ruigomez can move forward with a collections lawsuit against Erika to obtain the $11 million they are owed from Tom. “The Ruigomez Family, the Girardi Trustee and the GK Trustee shall cooperate with each other with their collection efforts against Erika,” the paperwork read. Making It Official
Tom’s brother, Robert Girardi, became the effective person of the former attorney’s person and estate in July 2021. Court documents listed the reason for the conservatorship as Tom’s dementia diagnosis, classifying the condition as a “major neurocognitive disorder." Shutterstock (2)
Selling Their Property
After the former couple listed their massive mansion in Pasadena for a sale price of $13 million in May 2021, they’ve since dropped the price on the historic estate to $9.9 million in July 2021 amid their ongoing divorce and court proceedings.  Us confirmed in October 2021 that Tom and Erika’s La Quinta property sold for $1.25 million. The profits will be used “to pay any unpaid property taxes, valid liens, homeowner’s association fees, real estate brokers’ commissions (5 percent) and related sale costs directly from escrow on the Property,” per court docs. Shawn Bishop
The $25 Million
In August 2021, the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case for Girardi Keese sued Erika for $25 million. According to court documents obtained by Us, the trustee accused the reality star of knowing that the firm paid her expenses for at least 12 years. The trustee requested that the court order here to pay back the $25 million she allegedly spent plus interest. The suit also argued that she should be personally held responsible for the funds even though the money allegedly went to her company, EJ Global LLC. “She attempts to create a distinction between handling her money directly versus paying all of her bills directly,” the documents read. “The distinction, like her prior motion for reconsideration, is meritless. Any payments made for her benefit are her responsibility.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Payback
In September 2021, investigator Richards told Us that if Erika "voluntarily" paid back the $25 million within 10 days, the lawsuit would not proceed. “If she was interested in helping the victims, she would simply pay back some of the expenses that were improperly advanced by the law firm and improperly deducted by Erika on her LLC and personal returns," Richards said in a statement. "This would add 10 percent to her voluntarily compliance payment. It is not about the fees, it is about the victims.” The following month, Erika’s lawyer denied Richards' claims that his client is “liable” for the $25 million. “I can’t say enough that based on the evidence and law, Erika does not have liability for any of the claims against her,” he said in a statement. “All the claims against Erika amount to efforts to blame her for the actions of others, including Girardi Keese and Tom Girardi.” Jaxon/MEGA
When Is Erika's Next Court Hearing?
According to Richards, Erika’s case has a status conference on November 16, 2021. While she won’t appear personally, her attorney is expected to. Broadimage/Shutterstock
The 'RHOBH' Footage
Lawyer Jay Edelson claimed in October 2021 that season 11 provided “a lot of evidence” for the case against Erika and Tom. Richards said in a statement to Us at the time: “All public statements Erika makes are admissible in court. Some will hold weight if she tries to change them later or does something different than what she answers [at the RHOBH reunion].” Bravo has also been subpoenaed to hand over unaired footage of Erika. Nicole Weingart/Bravo
Erika's Opposition
Us confirmed on October 20, 2021, that Erika’s lawyer filed a new document in the bankruptcy case one day prior. “Ms. Girardi is an entertainer, never served as a lawyer at GK, and had no role in the management of the firm,” the docs read, claiming Erika “was a complete stranger to and has no knowledge of whatever transpired at GK related to the Lion Air litigation filed in November 2018, or the settlement funds that apparently were received by GK after the District Court in Illinois approved certain settlements in that litigation in the first half of 2020.” The documents also state that Erika’s “only assets are her personal possessions and income she receives from her work as an entertainer, including from the Real Housewives television program,” after she left Tom on November 3, 2020. “Ms. Girardi has no access or visibility into the bank accounts of GK, including client trust accounts, into which Edelson alleges the settlement funds in the Lion Air case were paid. If anyone has access to these accounts, it is the GK Trustee,” the paperwork read. “The GK Trustee has never contended that Ms. Girardi directly or indirectly received any of the Lion Air settlement funds; and the Trustee is the party in the best position to make that contention if it has any merit.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Illegal Fees?
In a November 2021 court filing, Erika's lawyer asserted that his client "never had and does not have any of the fee agreements between [the Girardi Keese firm] and the Lion Air clients." He went on to claim that Edelson's case "is based on an unethical, unenforceable and illegal fee sharing agreement between Edelson and Girardi Keese, which will require that the Illinois litigation be dismissed" if copies of the documents can't be provided to the court. MediaPunch/Shutterstock
Will Erika Ever Remarry?
When asked in November 2021 whether she would ever tie the knot again, the Bravo star was quick to respond. “No, I will not. Never,” she told TMZ, adding that she would “probably not” date another lawyer. “But then again,” she noted. “I may need free legal [advice]. Who knows?” Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Change of Representation
In December 2021, Tom filed paperwork to remove his lawyer Michael L. Abrams from the divorce case. He will now represent himself through his brother Robert, who was named his permanent conservator in July 2021. Shutterstock; Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/MEGA

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s Ups and Downs Over the Years

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 01:42 PM PST

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's love story hasn’t exactly been a fairy tale.

The SUR bartender met Cartwright in between seasons 3 and 4 of Vanderpump Rules in the spring of 2015.

"We met in Vegas. He fell in love with me at first sight," she recalled during an interview with Bravo in 2017. "He was with another girl, I stole him away and we've been together ever since."

Fans watched the former Hooters server move to Los Angeles to be with Taylor during season 4 of the reality series. While she quickly befriended the cast, their relationship was at the center of the drama after Taylor cheated on Cartwright with former SURver Faith Stowers in between seasons 5 and 6.

"I just kind of fell into a deep hole and that happens out here sometimes. You get sucked into this lifestyle," Taylor told Us Weekly in November 2018 about his indiscretion. "I hate to use [my father's death] as an excuse to pick myself up, [but] I don't think I would have done it unless something happened, something traumatic needed to happen in my life, and it just so happens it was my father. He was kind of that turning point for me to be like, 'Enough's enough.' I just felt like my dad kind of took my body over and was like, 'This is how you're going to live the rest of your life the way I think you should live it.' I'm living my every day — from now until I die — how my dad would live his life."

Less than a year after the cheating scandal, Taylor proposed in Malibu.

"I see him every single day making efforts and he's completely changed the way he treats me, the way he talks to me, the way he listens to me. Every single thing about our relationship is better," Cartwright told Us about learning to trust Taylor again. "I know how much he's wanting the wedding and how much he's wanting to marry me, how much effort he's putting into the wedding, just as much as me. I don't know, whenever you know somebody as well as I know Jax, you can just tell."

The twosome exchanged vows in June 2019, but the drama hasn't stopped. Scroll through for a timeline of their ups and downs:

Cartwright and Taylor briefly split while dealing with the fallout of his affair with Stowers. “I’m just, like, really unhappy. I’ve been unhappy for such a long time … This has 150 million percent nothing to do with you,” he told her during season 6 of the Bravo show. “I am not good at relationships. You deserve a lot better than me. I just don’t think we should be together anymore.” AP/Shutterstock

While Cartwright and Taylor’s relationship was rocky during the summer and fall of 2017, they confirmed they were 100 percent back on in December 2017. Cartwright was also on hand to help Taylor deal with the death of his father that month. “It is hard, trust me, and there are still days, sometimes, when you can’t help but think of horrible things from the past,” Cartwright told Us at the time. “But for the most part, we’ve moved mountains in this relationship. I feel like we’re almost starting over, but we’ve grown so much. He does things before I even ask him now. Even just helping around the house. I can just tell in our everyday lives that he’s changed.” Chelsea Lauren/Variety/Shutterstock

Taylor popped the question in June 2018. “She said yes!!!” he wrote at the time via Instagram. “I can’t wait for y’all to see how this happened next season!!! I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!! 💍” Courtesy of Jax Taylor/Instagram

Two months after they tied the knot, Taylor was spotted sans wedding band in Los Angeles in August 2019. While Cartwright assured Us at the time that things were good between them, fans watched Taylor question if they rushed into their marriage during season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. “I’m thinking about my wedding, it just was so quick,” he told Stassi Schroeder during a May 2020 episode. “Did I do the right thing?” Nicole Weingart/Bravo
2020
Taylor’s affair with Stowers made headlines again in June 2020 when she opened up about being the only Black cast member on the show. “I felt like after their friend did something that we both were involved in that he’s done like, a thousand times, they wanted to attack me instead of him. They wanted to attack, attack, attack, attack, attack,” Stowers said at the time via Instagram Live. “I was wrong, I was this, I was that, calling me names, saying my hair was nappy, which is weird coming out of their mouths. …  I was just really, like, confused that they were attacking me and giving him nothing — in my opinion. He got off very, very, very, easy — especially with the things I’ve been told.” Fans subsequently accused Cartwright of being racist toward Stowers, which she denied. Taylor’s old tweets about his former costar also resurfaced, prompting some viewers to call on Bravo to fire him. That same month, Cartwright’s mother was placed in ICU due to serious complications from bladder surgery. “Brittany is beyond overwhelmed. Her mom is in the hospital, in the ICU, and that matters more than anything else. Imagine dealing with that and combating comments calling her a racist, when she is anything but that?” a source told Us. “She’s being hit at all angles. Jax has his flaws, but when it comes to being Brittany’s rock, he has not wavered. He is unconditionally and wholeheartedly there for her, as are her closest friends. She knows she is loved and supported as she navigates through this really difficult time.” Amy Sussman/E! Entertainment

Taylor joined Cartwright in Kentucky for their first wedding anniversary in June 2020. "Happy 1 year anniversary honey! ❤️❤️,” she gushed via Instagram at the time. Taylor revealed on his costar Katie Maloney's "You're Gonna Love Me" podcast in November 2020 that he and Cartwright had conceived on their "second try" while visiting her home state of Kentucky. In December, the couple announced that they will not be returning to Vanderpump Rules for another season. The couple welcomed their son, Cruz, on April 12. “I don’t think I have ever been as happy as I am right now, everything else in life seems so insignificant now,” Taylor captioned their baby boy’s Instagram debut. “I am crying just writing this message. I have the most beautiful son a man could ask for, he’s an absolute blessing from God. I just want to say how absolutely amazing my wife has been through this whole process, it has not been an easy pregnancy for her, but she did an absolute[LY]amazing job all the way till the end. "We’re working together and it’s great," Bensimon, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly at the off-Broadway opening night of Candace Bushnell's Is There Still Sex In The City? production on Tuesday, December 7, of her relationship with the former baseball player, 46. "I never gave [Alex] tips on real estate. I mean, we just have a lot of investments and opportunities that we’re both interested in."

The Illinois native, who currently works as a real estate agent both in and out of New York, opened about her love life amid the ongoing headlines.

"I am dating and I’m having the best time ever," she told Us while attending the play at New York’s Daryl Roth Theatre. "You know, it’s the holiday season so it’s time to get under the mistletoe. … I would describe dating in New York City as really exciting. I mean you have all these apps, you have all these bars, you have all these friends, you have all these different opportunities with work."

The Bravo alum continued, “You know how, like, kids are always in groups? I think that’s the best thing too, like, when you go out with your friends, you’re going to meet people. When you’re by yourself, it’s awkward, but when you’re with a group of friends having a really good time, you know, that really great energy — people are going to feed off of it. And put your phone in your pocket. I think that’s a really good thing is put your phone in your pocket. Not gonna meet anyone when you’re on your phone."

Bensimon and Rodriguez previously made headlines last month after it was reported that the pair had been texting following the former MLB star's breakup from ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez earlier this year. The New York native's rep since denied the claims of a potential romance to E! News.

Rodriguez, who began dating the 52-year-old Hustlers star in 2017, ended his longtime relationship with Lopez in April.

"We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so," the exes said in a joint statement at the time. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another's children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support."

Since their split, the "Let's Get Loud" songstress — who shares 13-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony — rekindled her 2000s-era romance with Ben Affleck. The Shark Tank alum, for his part, hasn't publicly dated anyone since the split, even joking about his bachelor status in October.

After FOX Sports anchor Kevin Burkhardt commented on footage of the Tampa Bay Rays athletes eating popcorn from the dugout during a game, he couldn't resist comparing it to the former baseball star. The October 7 broadcast then shared a throwback clip of the single dad — he shares daughters Natasha, 17, and Ella, 13, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis — snacking on some kernels with ex Cameron Diaz during 2010’s Super Bowl XLV championship.

"KB, that's maybe why I'm single," Rodriguez teased of his past actions at the time.

Bensimon, for her part, was previously married to photographer Gilles Bensimon — with whom she shares daughters Sea Louise, 23, and Thaddeus Ann, 21 — before they separated in 2007.

"He's very regretful. He fully understands the nature and the danger of drinking and driving," the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 45, told a photographer while leaving the 2021 People's Choice Awards on Tuesday, December 7, according to Page Six. "He was barely over the limit, and he fully understands and reassures me that it will never happen again."

The England native, 54, was stopped by the California Highway Patrol while driving in Los Angeles on November 23. Per the arrest report, the businessman was pulled over "for weaving on the westbound US-101." He "submitted to a chemical test," which found his blood alcohol content to be .081, the Daily Mail reported. (California's legal limit is .08.)

PK, who was alone in his car at the time of the incident, took an additional test at a Van Nuys police station before he was cited and released. According to the arrest report, he was "cooperative" amid the entire encounter.

The property developer's arrest came one month after Dorit was robbed at gunpoint inside their Encino, California, home on October 27.

"They were surprised to see me at home," the reality TV star told Teddi Mellencamp on Extra one month later. "When they did, they pushed me to the ground. They said, 'Who else is in the home?' There was someone else who said, 'Just kill her, just kill her already, just kill her,' and all I could think of [was], 'I have to save those babies [children Jagger, 7, and Phoenix, 5, who were asleep at the time].' I begged them, I begged for my life, and begged for their [lives]."

Shortly after the incident, PK — who was away on business at the time — opened up about how the family was coping.

"I would like to thank you all for your kind words of support. Dorit and myself have been overwhelmed by the show of love," he wrote via Instagram on October 29. "We can't respond to every message ( I can't even respond to all the texts and what's apps)…. So I wanted to tell you all that we are doing OK."

He continued at the time, "I'm home and we are all together and will get through this. The babies are great they are totally unaware and life is going to return to normal hopefully very quickly."

One day later, the Beverly Beach founder shared her own statement.

"As you all know by now, I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience," the Connecticut native explained via a Notes app screenshot on her Instagram page. "I've received so many messages of love and support and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's truly overwhelming. My kids are unaware of what happened, they slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed."

Josh Hartnett Gives Rare Interview About Taking a Break From Hollywood

Putting himself first. After hitting pause on his Hollywood career, Josh Hartnett explained why he believes that decision was the “best thing” he could have done for his mental health.

During a rare interview on Sunrise on Wednesday, December 8, Hartnett, 43, said his choice to keep "Hollywood at bay" was a lesson worth learning.

"Luckily, I think I hit onto it early on in my life," he told the Australian morning show. "It's about creating a good home life and being able to do things that are wild and wonderful like making films, which is such a privilege."

Hartnett made a name for himself in the late 90s after he appeared in projects including Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor, 40 Days and 40 Nights and The Virgin Suicides. Amid his rise to fame, the Minnesota native admitted that he regrets having to turn down some major roles.

"Unfortunately, I was going to do Brokeback Mountain, and I had a contract with Black Dahlia that I had to film, so I had to drop out of it," he noted.

Stars Who Turned Down Major Movie and TV Roles

In 2014, Hartnett addressed how his quick rise in the industry was too much to handle, telling Details magazine, “I couldn’t really go anywhere. I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I was alone. I didn’t trust anyone. I’m still finding my way through all that.”

He continued: “Within two weeks. I didn’t have to struggle as an actor, although I think I’ve made up for it now. I still get offered film and TV roles, luckily, but years ago, if I saw a role I wanted, there was a good chance I could grab it. When I see a role now, I’ve got to fight for it. It’s not bad. It’s actually more rewarding. Depressing when something doesn’t go your way, but only for a minute.”

Since then, Hartnett shifted his focus to the smaller screen, scoring the lead role of Ethan Chandler in Penny Dreadful, which aired from 2014 to 2016 on Showtime. Earlier this year, the Paradise Lost alum got honest about his temporary break from Hollywood, telling Yahoo in May, “I didn’t really take any major hiatuses that were planned, I just had kids.”

Stars Who Have Considered Quitting Acting

Hartnett, who shares three children with wife Tamsin Egerton, added, "I started doing smaller films, [since] the films didn't take me away from the kids very often.”

At the time, the Drunk History guest star opened up about how his relationship with acting has changed over the years.

“I’m acting a lot right now. I have taken time off to start writing scripts. I’ve written quite a few and had a couple sold but nothing actually got made and that was frustrating,” he said. “But right now I'm getting a lot of good offers, working with a lot of cool people … There's a lot of good stuff coming so I can’t turn down great roles. So my relationship [with acting] is just if there are interesting roles that are going to be challenging and get out there and people are going to see them, then I'm all for it.”

Celebrity Weddings of 2021: Stars Who’ve Tied the Knot

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 12:57 PM PST

Even a pandemic can't stop wedding bells from ringing. As the world slowly began to open back up in 2021 following the COVID-19 crisis, stars were eager to exchange vows.

First came Alexander Ludwig and Lauren Dear, who announced they'd eloped in Utah following a one-month engagement on January 4. Next up, Jennifer Wayne and Austin Moody wed on January 9 after a two-week engagement.

“I’m still in complete shock but I'm humbled and honored to introduce you to Mrs. Moody,” the bluegrass musician wrote via Instagram at the time. “Now more than ever, I am able to truly admire and appreciate everything she is. I’ve never met anyone so kind and generous to people she knows as well as complete strangers. Without even knowing it, she teaches me how to be a better person every day that I am with her. I can't believe I got to marry my best friend … Jennifer, now I stand before the world a brand new man because of the love you've shown me. From this moment on you will never walk alone.”

Another 2021 trend? Secret weddings! Aubrey Plaza subtly revealed on May 7 that she and her longtime beau, Jeff Baena, tied the knot by referring to him as her "darling husband" in an Instagram post.

"Whoa!!!! Just took in the word husband and I am sending you both love and congratulations and blessings!!!!!❤❤❤," Mary Steenburgen wrote in a comment. "UM HUSBAND HOLD ON THERE," a fan added.

Just over a week later, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez got married in a secret ceremony.

"It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people," Grande's rep told Us Weekly on May 17. "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

Us confirmed the pair's engagement five months earlier.

"Ariana is beyond excited. She has really enjoyed getting to know and falling in love with Dalton out of the spotlight, something she didn't get to do in her past relationships," an insider said in December 2020. "They are so in love and committed to spend the rest of their lives together."

Other 2021 newlyweds included two Duggar brothersJustin Duggar and Jed Duggar — who married Claire Spivey and Katey Nakatsu, respectively.

"We are overjoyed about adding another daughter-in-love to our family," Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar wrote via Instagram to celebrate one of their son’s weddings. "Jed and Katey have enjoyed a quiet, low-key relationship that has allowed them to prepare for a beautiful life together. Congrats to this wonderful couple on their wedding day! We are excited to see how their story continues to unfold in the future."

Nicki Minaj Through the Years: From Rap Queen to Mom and Beyond

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 12:55 PM PST

Her Minajesty! Nicki Minaj made a splash in the music industry with the launch of her rap career — and she has been taking the world by storm ever since.

Born Onika Tanya Maraj in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Minaj moved to Queens, New York, at the age of 5 with her family. She went on to graduate from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in Manhattan, where she developed a love for performing arts.

After rapping in a New York-based quartet called The Hoodstars, Minaj decided to make a name for herself, and she did just that with the release of her first mixtape, Playtime Is Over, in July 2007. She dropped two more tapes in April 2008 and April 2009, Sucka Free and Beam Me Up Scotty, the latter of which caught the attention of Lil Wayne. The "Lollipop" rapper quickly signed her to his record label, Young Money Entertainment, and the rest was history.

As Young Money's latest recruit, Minaj was tapped as a featured artist on songs including Ludacris' "My Chick Bad" and Kanye West's "Monster" before releasing her debut album, Pink Friday, in November 2010. Her career immediately took off as she toured with Britney Spears, performed at the 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and won countless awards.

In April 2012, Minaj released her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which mixed rap and pop music and only made her an even bigger mainstream star. To promote the record, she launched her first headlining tour, performed at the Grammy Awards (making her the first solo female rapper to do so) and rapped alongside Madonna during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show. In the midst of the Roman Reloaded era, Minaj also ventured into the movie and TV worlds, voicing a character in 2012's Ice Age: Continental Drift, becoming a judge on season 12 of American Idol and starring in 2014's The Other Woman.

The Grammy nominee dropped her third album, The Pinkprint, in December 2014 and starred in another film, Barbershop: The Next Cut, the following year. Her fourth record, Queen, came out in August 2018. It was not until May 2020 that she got her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to her remix of Doja Cat's "Say So." Her second chart-topper, "Trollz" with 6ix9ine, came just one month later.

Through the years, Minaj has also made headlines for her personal life. She dated fellow rappers Safaree Samuels, Meek Mill and Nas before marrying her childhood friend Kenneth "Zoo" Petty in October 2019. The couple welcomed a son the following September.

The Reality TV Star of 2021 winner’s mind was elsewhere during the People's Choice Awards. Khloé Kardashian fired back at claims that she threw shade at Halle Berry during the ceremony — hinting that she was more concerned with the drama surrounding Tristan Thompson on Tuesday, December 7.

The 37-year-old Good American cofounder responded to a fan who accused her of looking uninterested as Berry, 55, accepted the People's Icon Award.

"Okay who saw that 'I don’t care' sorta look on @khloekardashian when @halleberry was on stage, not cool man," one person wrote on Tuesday via Twitter.

Kardashian replied, "That's disappointing my face gave that expression. Halle Berry is such a force. Absolutely Stunning and beyond talented. Tbh I'm barely in my own body right now. Please don't read into anything. Also please don't tear me apart because you assumed something."

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum stepped out for the awards show less than one week after Thompson, 30, was named in a paternity suit filed by Maralee Nichols. The personal trainer alleged that the basketball pro is the father of her newborn son, who was conceived in March.

Us Weekly broke the news that Nichols gave birth on December 2. While Thompson acknowledged in court documents that he had sex with her, he requested genetic testing. The Sacramento Kings center also allegedly texted her that he "won't be involved at all" with the child.

"You know how I feel. My feelings haven't changed at all," Thompson allegedly wrote. "Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It's completely wrong. You are aware that I'm retiring after this season. So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who's unemployed."

The NBA star has since filed a gag order, asking the judge on Tuesday to prevent Nichols from speaking publicly about the case. Kardashian's clapback about Berry is the first time she's seemingly acknowledged the drama. A source previously told Us that it's a "very sad time" for the Revenge Body host, who shares 3-year-old daughter True with the athlete.

"She really loves Tristan and still held a candle for him. She thought he might have changed his ways," an insider said. "Khloé now knows that Tristan was unfaithful to her when they were back together."

Us confirmed in June that Thompson and Kardashian split for the second time after previously calling it quits due to another cheating scandal. A second source told Us on Wednesday, December 8, that Kardashian was "really distracted" and "didn't look too happy" during the PCAs, noting she "turned it up for the cameras."

Thompson, who has yet to publicly speak out about the case, also shares son Prince, 4, with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.

‘Sex/Life’ Stars Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos Make Their Red Carpet Debut

Posted: 08 Dec 2021 12:39 PM PST

Lights, camera, romance! Sarah Shahi and boyfriend Adam Demos fell in love after meeting on the set of Netflix's Sex/Life — and their real-life relationship is equally as steamy.

The duo filmed the series together in the fall of 2020 in Canada, playing sexy former lovers who get caught in a love triangle. In the show, Shahi's character, Billie, is married to Cooper (Mike Vogel) but yearns for her wilder days when she hooked up with Demos' Brad.

Offscreen, the L Word alum was going through a divorce when the risqué role came into her life — and not necessarily thinking about finding love again.

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in June 2020 that Shahi and Steve Howey had separated two months prior after 11 years of marriage. The former spouses, who share three children, son William and twins Violet and Knox, finalized their divorce in January 2021.

Shahi wrapped Sex/Life one month prior to her divorce being finalized. At the time, she reflected on how much her life had changed over the past few months.

"And it's a wrap on Billie Mann. @sexlife. My alter ego," she captioned a series of photos of her on-camera persona in December 2020. "The layered, wildly complex, hurricane of a character I had the honor of portraying. The saint and the sinner wrapped up in a messy pink bow."

The Texas native then got a little more personal, adding, "This show was more than just another gig. It changed the direction of my life. It unleashed parts of my heart I had hidden for so long. It helped me find my truth. I was broken open. Finally."

When celebrating her birthday in January 2021, the Person of Interest alum again reflected on her good fortune, noting that her relationship with Demos is one of the many "privileges" she's been afforded as she's grown older.

"It's a privilege to wake up every day with excitement as to what the day COULD bring, to look at Christmas lights and Halloween decorations with more astonishment than my kids," she wrote via Instagram at the time. "To get giddy at the smell of pages of a freshly opened book. To have found my love @adam_demos, to laugh until the sun comes up (sleep is boring), to dance when there's no music."

Four months later, Shahi gushed over her man when celebrating his birthday, admiring how two very different people could be a perfect match.

"Not exactly sure how two people on opposite sides of the world could have more in common, were meant to meet, were meant to be together," she wrote via Instagram in May 2021. "But I do know I met my soulmate."

The UnREAL alum replied: "My forever and more.. I love you so f–king much my baby ❤❤❤❤."

Shahi later commented on Demos' own birthday post, writing, "My baby … you're worth everything and more. Gonna celebrate you forever."

Katie Thurston: John Hersey’s PCAs Suit Is the One I ‘Dumped’ Him In

Katie Thurston Says John Hersey's PCAs Suit Is the One She Dumped Him In on The Bachelorette

Outfit repeating — with a twist. John Hersey hit the red carpet with his girlfriend, Katie Thurston, at the People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday, December 7, and his suit may have looked a little familiar to Bachelorette viewers.

“This is the suit that John got dumped in,” the Washington native, 30, joked in an Instagram Story posted after the ceremony on Tuesday. Noticing that his paramour didn’t mention that she was the person responsible for the dumping, Hersey, 27, added, “This is the suit that Katie dumped me in.”

The bartender originally wore the suit on The Bachelorette when Thurston sent him home during week two, along with several other potential suitors. “I mean, we had to reverse that bad juju,” the former bank marketing manager added in her Instagram Story. “So, we’re good now.”

Last month, Us Weekly broke the news that the Bachelor alum had moved on with the California native after her split from fiancé and season 17 winner Blake Moynes. The wildlife manager, 31, and Thurston called it quits in October, just two months after their engagement aired during the season finale of The Bachelorette.

"They just couldn't make the long-distance [relationship] work," an insider told Us of the former couple, who had been traveling back and forth between Moynes’ native Canada and Thurston’s adopted hometown of San Diego, California. "Katie really missed Blake once he left and they would get into little arguments, but at the end of the day, Katie wished he would be with her more."

Some Bachelorette fans were shocked by how quickly Thurston seemingly moved on with Hersey, but the pair have denied that their romantic relationship began while the reality star was still dating Moynes.

“Katie and I developed an incredible and deep friendship over the last half year or so,” Hersey wrote in a lengthy letter posted via Reddit in November. “The circumstances by which this friendship formed was a series of crazy, random and coincidental events, that I'm sure you will all hear about at a later time. My point for now is that we were ALWAYS platonic.”

He added that the twosome never considered hooking up while she was engaged.

"Neither Katie nor I would ever cheat, push someone to cheat or be involved in cheating,” he explained. “It is not in our nature. It is not acceptable. It is not OK. On second thought, maybe this message deserves its own paragraph: There was no wrongdoing prior to the end of their engagement."

Despite the critics, Thurston is thriving in her new relationship. "We're in the honeymoon phase right now," she exclusively told Us at the PCAs on Tuesday, adding that she’s “the happiest” she’s been in a long time. "He was my best friend before, so I think that's what makes it, honestly, the best."
