Bachelorette’s Katie Shows ‘Handsome’ BF John Love on His Birthday Posted: 22 Dec 2021 03:45 PM PST Even Katie Thurston didn't know what she was promising when she declared her Bachelorette ending was a "first" for the franchise. After appearing on season 25 of The Bachelor, which aired in early 2021, ABC named the Washington native their season 17 star. She subsequently started filming in Palm Springs and met 30 contestants, including bartender John Hersey. She sent the California native home during week two of the competition. Blake Moynes, who originally competed on season 16 of The Bachelorette in 2020, joined the cast when there were 14 men remaining. The Canada native admitted that he reached out to Thurston while Matt James' season was airing and felt like they would have a connection. After two of Thurston's top four quit — Greg Grippo and Michael Allio — she gave Moynes her final rose, sending home Justin Glaze. Thurston and Moynes' proposal aired on the August 2021 finale of The Bachelorette. The twosome told Us Weekly at the time that they weren't in a rush to move in together as they navigated their post-show future. By October, she admitted to Us that the twosome were "winging" things as Moynes traveled to Africa for work. "The short version is we're figuring it out. We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself, he's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great. If not —” Thurston told Us before trailing off backstage at Whitney Cummings' comedy show. Days after the performance, Thurston and Moynes announced their engagement was over. She subsequently told her Instagram followers that the twosome "owe it to each other to step away" from their relationship because it wasn't working. "We were together for six months [and] Blake and I are very level-headed and mature, and we communicate very well on our thoughts," Thurston told fans on October 31, 2021. "And we just both knew if this was how our first six months was as a couple, going forward it was going to not be in our best interest for our happiness to stay together." Moynes, for his part, admitted things haven't "been easy" for him as he returned to social media post-split on November 9, 2021. Later that month, Us broke the news that Thurston was seeing Hersey. Her rep later confirmed the news via a statement: "It's known Katie and John became close friends post-season. John has been there for her through all the major changes in her life, and they are excited to explore this newly found romantic connection." Scroll through for a complete timeline of her relationship with Hersey: ![]() During night one of Thurston’s season, which filmed in March 2021, she admitted that Hersey was her “type” when he walked out of the limo. By week two, however, she sent him packing. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() In May 2021, Thurston nearly ran into Hersey at a San Diego beach with friends. “John is surfing on this exact beach — very, very randomly, a rose floats by in the water. And he's like, ‘That's incredibly strange.’ … Just a very strange occurrence,” the duo’s mutual friend Stephen Lovegrove later recalled on Us’ “Here for the Right Reasons” podcast in September 2021. “He surfs, he goes home, we take photos, we get ice cream, we go home. And later that afternoon, John sees from Katie's account, all these photos go up and realizes as he was surfing with this random rose floating by, he was literally 100 feet away from the Bachelorette, who he had just filmed this season [with]. It was such a random coincidence that we didn't find out about till a long time later.” During that trip, Thurston was also spotted at Duke’s in La Jolla, where Hersey was a bartender. As her season aired in summer 2021, there was a fan theory that she got back together with Hersey due to the photos from the bar. “Through all of that speculation, at some point, I reached out to John and made a joke about I hope you and Katie are doing so well,” Lovegrove told Us. “And anyway, our friendship was born out of all of that. But yes, the Duke’s trip that threw off every spoiler page by total accident happened in the midst of the now-infamous San Diego trip [that sparked the love triangle with Alana Milne, Chris Conran and Jessenia Cruz on Bachelor in Paradise], as well.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Despite his early departure, Hersey was always team Thurston, defending her after she accused finalist Greg Grippo of gaslighting her during their messy split on an August episode. “I watched [Monday] night's episode and was shocked by some of the behavior I witnessed, namely the words and body language exhibited by Greg,” Hersey wrote via Instagram Stories at the time. "Watching these actions get defended (and therefore normalized) strikes me as extremely unhealthy and a step in the wrong direction.” He added: "An individual can be a good friend to some while simultaneously being harmful to others in another relationship. Friendship cannot be an excuse to blindly defend someone's behavior.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() After moving to San Diego, Thurston continued to spend time with Hersey amid her long-distance relationship with Moynes. She previously told Cummings that Moynes was OK with her hanging out with her former suitor. “He’s not intimidated by anything. I’m actually really close friends with John Hersey, which is a week two guy from my season, which I think most men would be like, ‘Well that’s kind of weird,’ but [Blake’s] just like, ‘Do your thing, whatever,’” Thurston said on the September 30 episode of the comedian’s “Good For You” podcast. Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock ![]() After spending the month apart amid his work trip to Africa, Thurston and Moynes reunited and announced their split on October 25, 2021. “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” the twosome wrote via Instagram at the time. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Social media began to speculate about Thurston’s relationship with Hersey after she shared a picture of the flowers she received following her split from Moynes with a note that read: “These are not romantic flowers. These are happy flowers. Because I do not want you to be… I want you to be happy.” Bachelor Nation was convinced that the note was from Hersey. Three days later, Thurston posted a throwback video on November 7 of “the first time I saw John since filming.” She then hinted that fans weren’t on the right track by sharing Polaroid photos with him, writing, “Y’all getting wild in my DMs." Courtesy Katie Thurston/Instagram ![]() Thurston began her “12 Days of Messy” challenge in mid-November, dedicating Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” to her former fiancé. On the final day of assigning songs for her exes, she dropped a video with Hersey set to “Begin Again.” Us broke the news on November 23 that Thurston is dating Hersey. Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock ![]() The lovebirds packed on the PDA in a TikTok video just hours after Us confirmed their romance on November 23. The pair first documented getting ready together via Instagram Stories. At the ball, they shared a kiss while posing for the cameras. After the ceremony, Thurston revealed that Hersey wore the same suit he was wearing during the episode of The Bachelorette where she sent him home. "I mean, we had to reverse that bad juju," she joked in an Instagram Story. "So, we're good now." On the red carpet, Thurston gushed about how she's "the happiest" she's been in a long time. “It’s very easy to just enjoy and live my life — and that’s kind of what we’re doing. We’re not holding back for anybody," she exclusively told Us at the event. “We’re in the honeymoon phase right now. He was my best friend before, so I think that’s what makes it, honestly, the best.” Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock |
Pete Davidson Brought Kim Kardashian to Mom's 'Favorite' NYC Restaurant Posted: 22 Dec 2021 01:34 PM PST True love or just friends? Since Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were first spotted spending time together in October 2021, fans couldn’t help but wonder what’s really going on between the duo. The Skims founder and the Saturday Night Live star first turned heads when they were photographed holding hands on a roller-coaster ride at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, shortly before Halloween. The pair visited the theme park with other people, including Kourtney Kardashian and her fiancé, Travis Barker, but their cozy moment still made headlines. "Kim and Pete seemed like good friends," an eyewitness told Us Weekly at the time, adding that several security guards accompanied the group on the trip. "Kim seemed very chill. It did seem like she was trying to hide.” The pairing came as a surprise to fans of both the comedian and the KKW Beauty mogul, but they do share many friends and acquaintances in common. Davidson is BFFs with Machine Gun Kelly, who is close to Barker, and Kelly’s girlfriend, Megan Fox, is friendly with Kourtney. (The latter duo teamed up for a racy Skims ad campaign in September 2021.) Perhaps their biggest person in common, however, is Kim’s estranged husband, Kanye West, who often collaborates with Davidson’s pal Kid Cudi. Back in 2019, the comedian went to a birthday dinner for the “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper that the couple affectionately known as Kimye also attended. The Selfish author filed for divorce from the Grammy winner in February 2021 following six years of marriage. The pair share four children: North (born in June 2013), Saint (born in December 2015), Chicago (born in January 2018) and Psalm (born in May 2019). Until she was spotted with Davidson, Kim hadn’t been publicly linked to anyone since she announced her split from West. In June 2021, a source told Us that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum wasn’t yet ready to put herself out there again. "She's not focused on dating at the moment but actually worries that guys will not want to date her because of how public her relationship was with Kanye," the insider explained at the time. "She also knows how hard it is to build trust with someone so she thinks it's going to take time before letting someone into her private life.” The King of Staten Island actor, for his part, called it quits with Phoebe Dynevor in August 2021 after five months of dating. "The distance put a strain on the relationship and it made it hard to maintain," a source told Us of the split. Alicia Witt’s Family: Everything We Know About Her Parents, More Posted: 22 Dec 2021 01:28 PM PST Actress Alicia Witt kept her family life relatively private as she attained stardom, but her parents Robert and Diane Witt became the subject of headlines after their mysterious deaths. The Walking Dead alum, 46, announced the news in a statement released on Tuesday, December 21. "I reached out to a cousin who lives close to my parents to check on them. Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable," she said. "I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events, and this surreal loss." Alicia asked her relative to check on her mother and father at their Worcester, Massachusetts, home on Monday, December 20, after she had not heard from her parents in "several days." Local newspaper Telegram & Gazette reported that the Nashville alum's cousin called police for assistance in checking on Robert and Diane. The authorities found the couple dead when they entered their home but did not see any obvious causes of death. Robert was 87, while Diane was 75. Lieutenant Sean Murtha clarified in a statement, "There was no trauma." The fire department visited Robert and Diane's home to check the air quality after the tragedy but found no evidence of carbon monoxide or other dangerous gases. Police confirmed that the Massachusetts medical examiner will perform autopsies on the pair to determine their causes of death. Alicia revealed in September how her mother played a role in her big break when she was discovered by a producer from That's Incredible! "The producer saw a photo of me reading in a magazine and got in touch and asked if I had anything I could do on the show. My mom had, at that point, taught me how to do a scene from Romeo and Juliet. I was 5," she told The Boston Globe. "Two years later, the casting director for Dune was searching for someone to play the role of Alia and [saw that clip]. It was serendipity." Although she was a child star, the Two Weeks Notice actress explained in August 2014 that her family struggled financially when she was young. "My parents were both teachers. My dad made about $35,000 a year and we didn't have a car until I was, I think, 11," she told Marketplace. "Money was always something that we had to be careful of." Larsa Pippen Tells 'RHOM' Costars She Makes $10,000 a Day on OnlyFans Posted: 22 Dec 2021 01:15 PM PST Knowing their worth. As OnlyFans made a name for itself as an online subscription service for content creators, many stars took advantage of their large audience by joining the website. OnlyFans allows people to put out any sort of content, including nude photos, at a price they think their followers will pay to view them. From monthly subscriptions to pricing each post individually, some celebrities have managed to bring in some major money with the side gig. Bella Thorne went viral when she first joined the website in August 2020. In one day, the Amityville: The Awakening star was the first creator to make more than $1 million in 24 hours. At the time, the singer explained that she only joined OnlyFans as research for a future project. “It’s a feature we are researching as I’m living it currently. What are the ins and outs? What does a platform like this do to its users? What’s the connective material between your life and your life inside the world of OnlyFans?” she detailed to the Los Angeles Times. “How can it change your life for the worse and the better? How far are you willing to go, and how far do you want to go?” After Thorne’s decision to join the website caused backlash amongst sex workers for over saturating OnlyFans for her benefit, the model took to social media to apologize. "Remove the stigma behind sex, sex work, and the negativity that surrounds the word SEX itself by bringing a mainstream face to it that's what I was trying to do, to help bring more faces to the site to create more revenue for content creators on the site," she wrote in a series of tweets that same month. "I wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas, and in trying to do this I hurt you." Thorne reasoned that she trying to use her platform in an effort to help “others and advocate for something bigger,” but apologized for the issues she may have started. After the director’s groundbreaking accomplishment, OnlyFans implanted new rules when it came to pricing. "This is f–ked up and I'm sorry," she noted before adding that she had plans to discuss all “concerns you want brought up" with the website. Four months later, the performer seemingly joked about the situation when she posted to her Instagram Stories, “Everyone joining ONLY fans but I took the hit for doing it firsttttt coooool. Legit everyone In my news feed following my footsteps but when I was getting heat y’all were scared.” Scroll down for to learn how much some celebrities have said they made since joining the popular subscription website: ![]() The Big Brother alum managed to bring in plenty of money after making a secret account. "If you're a female and you go on reality TV, sell your feet pictures online," Davies shared on the "Trading Secrets" podcast in July 2021. "I have moved over to OnlyFans. ... I've had a secret OnlyFans for two months that's paid me way more than anything that I made in the year 2020. I only post fans. It's just me and fans." The Texas native detailed posting fully dressed photos of herself with electric fans and mixing that in with "sexy selfies." By charging $17 a month, Davies seemingly makes around $61,000 a year. Courtesy Elena Davies/Instagram ![]() After originally joining OnlyFans in August 2020, the Disney alum briefly crashed the website pulling in $2 million in her first two weeks. Matteo Nardone/Pacific Press/Shutterstock ![]() The Too Hot To Handle alum made headlines when he posted a photo of him holding an award from OnlyFans honoring him on a major accomplishment. "Big month on only fans 😈," the reality star tweeted alongside the trophy that read "Congratulations Top Earner $500,000" in August 2021. Two months later, Jowsey confirmed that he had already made more than $1 million on OnlyFans. "We're doing really well," he told Jason Tartick during an episode of the "Trading Secrets" podcast in October 2021. "I don't have anything to hide and I'm an open book with everyone. ... My biggest goal is to have people that were in the same position as me, someone who has achieved some small success, to know that it is possible for you to do it." Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() Kopf revealed on her friend David Dobrik’s YouTube channel that she made $4.2 million in just a month from her OnlyFans account. “It’s not as crazy as you think. I mean it’s crazy, but, like, 4.2 million,” she explained in the August 2021 video. “My first tit picture ever made $165,000." MediaPunch/Shutterstock ![]() The Internet personality, who made a name for herself after appearing on an episode of Dr. Phil, announced that she made more than $1 million in less than a day. “Not bad for 6 hours 🤩 we broke the f--k out of that onlyfans record,” the singer captioned a screenshot of her revenue via Instagram in April 2021. She later posted a video on TikTok alleging that she earned $1,092,762.63 on her first day on the app. Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock |
Larsa Pippen: I'll Share 'My Side' of Kim Kardashian Fallout on 'RHOM' Posted: 22 Dec 2021 01:10 PM PST ![]() Raising her voice! Larsa Pippen teased that her return to The Real Housewives of Miami has made her more vocal — especially when it comes to her drama with former BFF Kim Kardashian. "I never give my side of the story. I’m always the kind of friend or whatever that doesn’t really give her side of the story," the 47-year-old reality TV star told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, December 21. "This kind of gives me a chance to give my side of the story, so I was really excited about that.” The Chicago native, who appeared on season 1 of the original Bravo series in 2011, has been the topic of conversation for her fellow Housewives on the Peacock revival. Adriana de Moura, for example, has called out Pippen's appearance and her drama with Kardashian, 41, on multiple occasions. “Is that Larsa?” the 56-year-old star said during one episode's confessional. “We really haven’t stayed in touch that much. Her face is different. Her boobs are bigger. Her butt’s is even bigger. I think she is now becoming the Kim Kardashian look-alike.” The Brazil native later added, “Larsa left Miami, but the minute the Kardashians shunned her out, now she’s back in the group and trying to really regain our friendship and trust. So, there’s mystery there and I’m curious.” Pippen, who initially left RHOM after one season, told the outlet that she wasn't surprised by her costar’s digs regarding the Skims founder. “I kind of expected it,” she told the outlet about being the most talked about RHOM star, adding that de Moura is "like the weasel" of the squad. "[She's] like the little brother that just annoys you the entire time you’re at home. She’s definitely the weasel of the crew," Pippen joked. Ahead of her RHOM return, Pippen's friendship with the California native was already being talked about going back to April 2020 when eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Kardashian sisters unfollowed her and vice versa. The Larsa Marie founder addressed the drama publicly in November 2020, pointing to the Keeping Up With the Kardashian's alum's now-estranged husband, Kanye West, as one of the main reasons they were no longer close. "If Kanye feels like him and Kim are better without me, then let them be without me. I'm OK with that. … I will survive," Larsa said during an appearance on the "Hollywood Raw" podcast, adding that the Yeezy designer, 44, "brainwashed" Kim and her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that the Kardashian family is "unbothered" by Pippen's allegations. "The family thinks Larsa spoke out about this now because she is craving attention," the insider added. "And the only attention she got as of late was from being Kim's best friend and from being on the show." More than one year later, Pippen seemingly commented on the alleged rift between her and Kim during the RHOM premiere, which aired on December 16. "People thought I wouldn't make it without Scottie [Pippen, her ex-husband]. People thought I couldn't make it without some old friends," she explained during the episode as a snap of her and the Selfish author were shown on screen. "I'm great. I just basically want to, like, live my best life, have fun, do whatever I want unapologetically. … I'm proud of who I am today. Like, s–t, I'm winning. Like, s–t, I'm doing great." Larsa later told Access Hollywood that she and Kim "are friendly, we're friends" despite their recent ups and downs. "You know what, I think the whole [Jordyn Woods cheating scandal with Tristan Thompson] situation that happened before me kind of dictated how I was perceived from people that don't know anything about it. I'm like, 'How did I fall into this?'" she explained on December 16. "I love them [the Kardashian family], my children love them. Our families are so intertwined." The Real Housewives of Miami airs Thursdays on Peacock. |
Scotty McCreery and More Celebs' Festive Holiday Cards of 2021: Photos Posted: 22 Dec 2021 12:47 PM PST Sending Christmas wishes! Tori Spelling, Ashley Tisdale and Melissa Joan Hart are among the group of celebrities who got into the holiday spirit this year by sending out festive cards. "This year has been so exciting for our growing family, and I can't wait to spread the joy we feel with our new @minted Holiday cards!" Tisdale wrote via Instagram in November, kicking off the season with a sneak peek at her 2021 custom cards by Minted. The Young & Hungry executive producer — who welcomed her first child, daughter Jupiter, in March — noted how "happy" she is to "have this milestone documented as a keepsake" in the form of a card for years to come. Spelling, on the other hand, raised a few eyebrows with her photo choice for her family's annual Christmas card. The Troop Beverly Hills actress unveiled her Christmas picture via a sponsored Instagram post in November. The snap included Spelling with her and husband Dean McDermott's five children: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau. The Slasher actor, however, was nowhere to be seen. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that even the sweet message on the Simply to Impress card didn't give McDermott a shout-out. "With Love, from our farm to your home! Xoxo, Tori & Family," the inscription read as the group smiled amongst their farm animals. Spelling previously sparked divorce rumors earlier in the year after she was seen without her wedding ring during the summer. She was later spotted outside an attorney's office in October with papers that read "support" and "custody," fueling split speculation. However, the California native insisted that McDermott's absence in the holiday card was due to his busy work schedule. When one fan joked that the Canada native "must be 'working' out of town" to have missed the photo shoot, Spelling replied, "@imdeanmcdermott was filming his new feature film in Canada." While Spelling's card caused a stir among her fans, other stars, including Kyle Richards and Ashley Iaconetti, chose to keep things simple with their festive fliers. Amelia Gray Hamlin Says She ‘Completely Lost’ Her ‘Sense of Self’ in 2021 Posted: 22 Dec 2021 12:18 PM PST ![]() Looking back. Amelia Gray Hamlin took to social media to reflect on the past year of her life — and she had some interesting insights to share. “2021… the year of the bleached brow & dreams coming true,” the model, 20, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, December 21. “The year that i completely lost my sense of self.. not knowing that i would reclaim it even more authentically.” The California native also pointed out the career success she’s had over the past 12 months, calling 2021 “the year that i went to new york and never left.” She added: “Thank u 2021 … thank you to everyone that made my dreams come true.. u know who u r!!! I LOVE U!!!!!” Hamlin didn’t mention her personal life in the post, but some fans couldn’t help but note that the former child actress also spent much of the year in a relationship with Scott Disick. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 38, and Hamlin were first linked in October 2020. ![]() The former couple frequently faced public criticism about their nearly 20-year difference, usually brushing it off. In December 2020, Hamlin slammed “extra weird and judgemental [sic]" people via her Instagram Stories. "People can embrace themselves however they feel fit for them at that moment in time," she wrote at the time. "People grow. People learn to love themselves more and more." Less than one year later, however, the pair called it quits. "Amelia was the one who ended things," an insider told Us Weekly in September. “They're both taking it in stride,” a second source added at the time. Two of the duo’s most vocal critics were Hamlin’s parents, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin. During an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that aired in August, the Bravo personality, 58, asked why her daughter couldn’t be dating Harry Styles instead. “Why the f–k is it Scott Disick?” she added. Last month, Harry, 70, admitted that he was happy his youngest daughter was single again. "Look, Amelia's doing great. She's living in New York, and she's having the time of her life solo," he said during the November 30 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "I have no idea [about the breakup]. I didn't pull the curtain [back]. I have no idea what exactly happened there. I'm just glad that she is solo. Put it that way." Rinna, for her part, had previously expressed skepticism about the fact that Disick is a father of three. The Talentless designer shares Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, with Kourtney Kardashian, whom he dated on and off from 2006 to 2015. "It's a what the f—k moment,” the Melrose Place alum said during a June episode of RHOBH, describing when she learned about her daughter’s romance. “You're like, 'What the f—k?' She's 19. He's 37 with three kids." |
Selling Sunset's Brett Oppenheim Discusses ‘Very Recent’ Tina Louise Split Posted: 22 Dec 2021 12:07 PM PST Living the single life. Hours after Tina Louise confirmed her breakup from Selling Sunset's Brett Oppenheim, he opened up about the timing of their split. "OK, this question has absolutely nothing to do with real estate, but I will answer it," the realtor, 44, explained during an Instagram Story Q&A on Tuesday, December 21, after a fan asked if he was single. "As of very recently, actually, yes." Earlier on Tuesday, the 40-year-old Sugar Taco owner announced the pair's separation via her Instagram Story, writing, "Brett is my ex, but we remain very good friends." ![]() The duo, who debuted their romance on Instagram in April, have kept their relationship private save for a few scenes together during season 4 of Selling Sunset last month. Before dating the Australia native, the real estate mogul was briefly linked to Katya Dmitrenco after inviting her to his housewarming party during season 3. Hours before the Oppenheim Group cofounder announced his breakup, his twin brother, Jason Oppenheim, also revealed his own split from girlfriend Chrishell Stause. "While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends we will always love and support one another," Jason, 44, wrote via Instagram Story on Tuesday. "She was the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life." While the University of California, Berkeley alum further explained that he and the All My Children alum, 40, have "different wants regarding a family," they still share "the utmost respect" for one another. "Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me," Jason added at the time. Later that day, the Under Construction author broke her silence on the split news via her own Instagram, writing, "I have tried to embrace the world I have found myself in and that includes being open and honest about my relationships. It felt scary and terrifying knowing that it may not end in what society deems a success and what I am ultimately looking for." Stause added in her post, "But after many long heartfelt talks, I am choosing to see it as a success no matter what label is attached to it publicly. Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward." |
Bella Banos: What to Know About Model Spotted on Vacation With Scott Disick Posted: 22 Dec 2021 12:01 PM PST Moving on? Scott Disick sparked dating rumors with Bella Banos as the pair vacationed in St. Barts together, but it is not the first time they have been linked. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 38, and the model, 25, were spotted walking on the beach on Tuesday, December 21, amid their island getaway. He wore a printed button-down shirt, black shorts and sunglasses, while she sported a neon bikini and sunglasses. The two appeared friendly as they strolled side by side. Disick and Banos have been close for years, leading to speculation about their relationship status on more than one occasion. They were first linked in 2017 when they traveled to Costa Rica together, and they reignited the rumors in October 2020 when they were seen leaving Nobu in Malibu shortly after his split from Sofia Richie. The reality star moved on with Amelia Gray Hamlin later that month, but Us Weekly confirmed in September that the duo ended things. The breakup came after Kourtney Kardashian's ex Younes Bendjima posted an alleged DM from Disick, in which he criticized the Poosh founder's relationship with Travis Barker. Although the drama made his romance with the model, 20, rocky, a source told Us in September that their split "was coming regardless." One month after Disick's breakup from Hamlin, Kardashian, 42, and Barker, 46, got engaged, with an insider telling Us at the time that the Flip It Like Disick alum was "furious." "He knew it was possible, but is very jealous of Kourtney and Travis' relationship," the source added. "Scott still thinks that they could call things off before the wedding." As Kardashian — with whom Disick shares son Mason, 12, daughter Penelope, 9, and son Reign, 7 — prepares to walk down the aisle, her ex was not looking for a serious relationship of his own. "Don't be fooled — if he's spotted with a new girl, it isn't someone he's serious about," a source revealed in November, noting that he wanted "to have some fun being single" and was not "in a rush to settle down with anyone special anytime soon." Disick's pals "describe him as a loner" with only "a few close friends in his inner circle." Since his split from Hamlin, he has been focused on family as he has "mainly been spending a lot of time with his kids." Fox Cancels New Year’s Eve Show 'Toast & Roast' Amid COVID-19 Surge Posted: 22 Dec 2021 11:50 AM PST The coronavirus outbreak, which hit the U.S. in early 2020, has had major implications on the well-being of all humans — and it's continuing to have a major impact on Hollywood. Movies, including Mission: Impossible 7 and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Red Notice, paused production and sent casts and crews home amid the initial breakout. Films such as James Bond's No Time to Die, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mulan have either postponed or canceled their China runs altogether in last year. According to a February 2020 report from Business Insider, the outbreak could result in more than $1 billion of lost revenue for the film industry. "There are so many moving parts and implications, not just for movie theaters but for public spaces in general," Comscore senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian told Business Insider at the time. "The uncertainty is the one thing that is certain. At the end of the year, box-office numbers, particularly regarding China, are going to have an asterisk." The rapid spread of the virus also resulted in the cancellation of music events and shut down production on several TV shows. Green Day and BTS were among the musical acts who were forced to pushback tour dates in Asia in 2020. Talk shows initially filmed episodes without TV audiences, but later opted to shut down for weeks before gradually making a return to hosting live audiences. The Amazing Race pumped the brakes on its shoot, while filming of Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette was delayed until the summer of 2020. As global safety regulations have slightly lessened, the industry began the process of returning to semi-normalcy with caution. The Batman returned to set in London in September 2020 after closing up shop six months prior, but production briefly shut down for the second time after star Robert Pattinson reportedly contracted coronavirus. Casts from Grey's Anatomy, The Conners, Mom, Riverdale and Supernatural have also made their way back to set. Meanwhile, talk shows such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Kelly Clarkson Show have utilized virtual audiences to make their return a bit smoother before bringing back fans. Some movies made it into theaters across the world in late 2020 and early 2021, but restrictions are still in place within the entertainment industry as the COVID-19 crisis continues. "When shooting during a pandemic, you have to connect with your costars in different ways," Reese Witherspoon joked via Instagram in September 2021, sharing photos of herself wearing a face shield and posing with photos of her Morning Show costar Jennifer Aniston. While some concerts have resumed their touring schedule, others, including Post Malone's Posty Fest, postponed dates once more in 2021, pushing events to 2022 in hopes that the coronavirus numbers will again go down. Scroll down below to see a list of all the entertainment events that's been impacted by the coronavirus. ![]() “We regret that we are unable to continue the Christmas Spectacular this season due to increasing challenges from the pandemic,” a statement on the Rockettes' official website read in December 2021. “We had hoped we could make it through the season and are honored to have hosted hundreds of thousands of fans at more than 100 shows over the last seven weeks. We have loved bringing back this cherished tradition that helps usher in the holiday season in New York City and look forward to welcoming fans back to Radio City Music Hall in 2022.” Craig Ruttle/AP/Shutterstock ![]() As positive COVID-19 cases in New York City rapidly increased, several Broadway shows canceled performances in December 2021. Refunds available at point of purchase,” Live Nation festival organizers said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “We can’t wait to make 2022 our biggest year yet. Stay safe everyone, we’ll see you soon.” Variety reported at the time that the uptick in COVID-19 cases in Texas was a factor in pushing the event. The official Twitter account for the show confirmed the news that day, writing, “Because the wellness and safety of our guests, cast and crew are our top priority, tonight’s performance, Wednesday, September 29th, is canceled,” noting that all tickets would be refunded and further details about future performances would be announced later. We feel that this is one of our best creations yet and that this creation deserves the best possible scenario and set up for success. The statement continued, “With the current state of the world still limiting our travel and causing small things in these processes to take much longer, we have decided to wait until 2022 to release our Christmas album and subsequently will be canceling our limited Las Vegas run of Christmas shows.” Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() The alt-rock group announced in August 2021 that they would not be going on the road the following month as originally planned. "We have determined that with the current surge in COVID cases — made worse by the Delta variant — that this is the right decision for our fans and crewmembers' safety, as well as our own. We ask that our fans stay safe and healthy and we hope to see you all soon. La la love you." RMV/Shutterstock ![]() Dan and Eugene Levy announced the cancelation of their Schitt's Creek: The Farewell tour after initially postponing it months earlier amid the pandemic. “When we postponed the Schitt's Creek: The Farewell tour, we had every hope and intention of traveling to see you later this year,” the show creators wrote via a statement on Instagram in August 2021. “However, despite our best efforts to reschedule while keeping your health and safety at the forefront, we’ve found that state and local mandates vary too widely to do so in the near future. So, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all tour dates that were scheduled pre-pandemic.” Cbc/ITV/Kobal/Shutterstock ![]() Frontman Tyler Hubbard announced that the band canceled their fall tour via Instagram in August 2021. “We’ve been faced with one of the toughest decisions we’ve had to make it a while,” the statement read. “Due to the rising COVID cases and risk of putting our family, band and crew, friends, and fans in harm's way, we’ve decided it’s best to cancel the fall tour. This breaks our hearts as we were so excited to get back our and throw a party for the fans. We are so disappointed.” Debby Wong/Shutterstock ![]() The country crooner confirmed in August 2021 that he was canceling the remainder of his stadium tour. “Since restarting the tour in July, The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour has entertained over 300,000 fans across the first 5 cities,” a statement on his website read. “Now, with a new wave of the Covid-19 virus spreading across the nation, the tour has arrived at the very difficult decision of canceling and refunding approximately 350,000 tickets in the tour's next 5 cities.” Concerts were canceled in Ohio, North Carolina, Maryland, Massachusetts and Tennessee. At the time of the announcement, Brooks' team noted that they were seeking new tour dates in 2022. On March 12, Charlotte St. Martin, President of the Broadway League, announced that all performances have been suspended, effective immediately. They hope to resume shows on April 13. "Broadway has the power to inspire, enrich and entertain, and together we are committed to making that vital spirit a reality,” she said in a statement. “Once our stages are lit again, we will welcome fans back with open arms so that they can continue to experience the joy, heart, and goodwill that our shows so passionately express every night." After already being extended more than once, the Broadway League confirmed in October that the shutdown would continue through May 2021. "With nearly 97,000 workers who rely on Broadway for their livelihood and an annual economic impact of $14.8 billion to the city, our membership is committed to re-opening as soon as conditions permit us to do so. As of March 16, both Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show With James Corden will no longer have audiences as a “precautionary measure.” VicaomCBS previously announced that Comedy Central’s Lights Out With David Spade and Tosh.O will not have audiences as of March 16 as well, as did CBS for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Bret Michaels, a life long type1 Diabetic, falls under the category of those that run the extreme high risk of contracting this illness. Bachelorette’s Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs’ Relationship Timeline Posted: 22 Dec 2021 11:25 AM PST Third time’s a charm! Becca Kufrin found love with Thomas Jacobs after deciding to give romance on reality TV another shot. The former Bachelorette, who was previously engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Garrett Yrigoyen, returned to Bachelor Nation during season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered in August 2021. Despite being a little gun shy at the thought of falling in love on a reality show following two failed engagements, Kufrin arrived on the beach five days into filming. While it wasn't love at first sight, she eventually fell for Jacobs, who fans met during season 17 of The Bachelorette earlier that year. "We talked for maybe five minutes and at the end of the conversation he said something along the lines of … he called me a declined credit card," the Bourdon founder recalled during an October 2021 appearance on the "Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation" podcast of meeting Jacobs for the first time. "He was, like, trying to flirt and be kind of smooth and funny and it just came out wrong." The pair were able to overcome their awkward first encounter and form a strong relationship while filming in Mexico. After a brief breakup during the show's finale, the two made up off camera and started dating outside of the spotlight. "We came back [home] and had to explore that on our own away from the cameras but in that moment [on the beach during the finale], I think that was game-changing for me," Kufrin explained. "Because I have really never had somebody fight, I would say, like, tooth and nail to want to keep a relationship with me." The "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast cohost later revealed that she called her mom shortly after connecting with the California native and told her how hard she fell for Jacobs. "I was like, 'Mom, I think I want to marry this guy,'" she told listeners during her joint podcast interview in October 2021. "It's the first time I've ever actually said that out loud." Jacobs, for his part, said he has asked Kufrin in "multiple text messages" about the type of ring she would want when he proposes. "It's something we’ve talked about," he said at the time. "I mean, I don’t want to spend my life with anybody else." The lovebirds didn't give an exact date as to when they rekindled their romance after leaving Mexico, but both stars confirmed they were back on after the show's October 2021 finale aired. "I feel safe with you. As if nothing could ever go terribly wrong," the real estate broker wrote via Instagram. "Thank you for being someone who I can put my trust in, someone who would never hurt me, someone who would never push 'us' away." During the season finale, Luyendyk Jr. proposed to the former public relations specialist, but later called off the engagement and moved on with runner-up Lauren Burnham. The race car driver married Burnham in 2019 and they have since welcomed daughter Alessi and twins Senna and Lux. Kufrin, for her part, became the Bachelorette on season 14, which premiered in May 2018. She got engaged to Yrigoyen during the finale but confirmed in September 2020 that they split. He was painted as a villain by the men in the house and cut by Katie Thurston for allegedly being there for “the wrong reasons.” Kufrin, however, didn’t know much about the San Diego, California, resident before meeting him on Bachelor in Paradise. “I had only seen, I think, the first two episodes of Katie’s season — it was before things got really bad for him,” she explained during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “It was kind of like this weird mind [f—k] if you will because I was getting to know him for him on that beach and seeing how he interacted with everyone and seeing how everyone got along really well. And then when I would watch the show, I’d be like, ‘This isn't what I'm seeing, what's going on here?’ It was really, it was, like, this weird warp in my mind.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The former college athlete popped up during the second episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, which premiered in August 2021, but filmed earlier in the summer. Kufrin made her Paradise debut one week later. Although Jacobs initially pursued Tammy Ly, sparks quickly flew between him and the Minnesota native. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Despite having serious chemistry during BiP, Kufrin broke up with her love during the show’s finale, which aired in October. At the time, Kufrin told Jacobs that she had doubts about his sincerity. “I feel like you’re so good at being supportive and positive and surprising me in all of the best ways, but I feel like sometimes it’s too good to be true and that scares me,” she said. “I’ve been here twice now before, and I couldn’t leave here and feel OK about leaving with somebody that I don’t 100 percent fully know.” Jacobs tried to reassure her that he was all in, saying, “Everything inside of me screams that I’m falling in love with you,” to which Kufrin replied, “But I haven’t seen any of that.” After showing their breakup on TV, ABC announced that the twosome had since gotten back together. “They are happy and in love,” the title card read at the end of the episode. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “We chatted until, like, three or four in the morning some nights and just talked about any and everything,” Kufrin said during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast of the couple’s off-camera reunion. “The second I saw him — because I flew back to L.A. and then drove down to San Diego — I think right away he picked me up and kissed me and then we just had unlimited time to explore what this could be.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “You know what they say … Third time’s a charm,” the B the Label designer captioned a video montage of her sweetest moments with Jacobs, confirming they are still dating after briefly calling it quits on the BiP finale. “I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy. Next time we will get you some snow.” Courtesy of Becca Kufrin/Instagram ![]() "Getting hints of tall, dark and handsome with a bold taste of my future," Kufrin captioned an Instagram photo of Jacobs, who commented, "Nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for you." LOL! Becca Kufrin Jokes About Live 'Final Rose' PDA With BF Thomas Jacobs Posted: 22 Dec 2021 11:19 AM PST That loving feeling! Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs raised eyebrows when they were caught making out during The Bachelorette season 18’s After the Final Rose special on Tuesday, December 21. One Instagram user called out the pair for their steamy kiss, writing, "@thomasjacobs and @bkoof getting down in the background," adding two crying-lauging emojis and two heart eyes emojis. The Bourdon founder, 31, reposted the screenshot of the duo packing on the PDA via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, replying, "Can ya blame me?" ![]() The couple, who met on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise earlier this year, were surprise guests at the taping of Michelle Young's post-finale recap — but they seemingly stole viewers’ attention with their mid-show smooch. While the Minnesota native, 28, listened to her runner-up, Brandon Jones, discuss their emotional breakup — and shed a few tears in the process — some fans were distracted by Becca and Thomas, 29. The pair were seen chatting in the background during the serious moment before they started kissing. (Michelle accepted a proposal from now-fiancé Nayte Olukoya during the episode.) "Becca and Thomas kissing in the background while Brandon is spilling his guts is the highlight of the show so far," Reality Steve wrote via Twitter, sharing a photo of the scene-stealing moment with his followers. Fans were quick to weigh in on the awkward make out scenario, with one writing, "I love Thecca, but that's insensitive IMO…" Another Twitter user commented, "IM SORRY BECCA AND THOMAS? are you really making out while Brandon is talking? GOODBYE," while a third fan joked, "Nothing like sharing a big smooch to the tune of a guy expressing his heartbreak to his past lover." The former Bachelorette and the California native weren't the only Bachelor in Paradise duo who showed up to support Michelle at the end of her journey: Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt were also in the audience. While they appeared to fly under the radar during the event, one user pointed out that they too were caught on the kiss cam. "I love how Joe and Serena and Becca and Thomas were both kissing at AFTR LOL," one fan wrote via Twitter with two crying laughing emojis. Bachelor Nation may have had mixed feelings about the ill-timed PDA from both couples, but Becca and her beau were focused on the season 18 lead and her fiancé, 27. "Nayte understands that Minnesota girls do it better! Congratulations," the season 17 Bachelorette contestant wrote via his Instagram Story on Tuesday. The “Bachelor Happy Hour” cohost also wished the couple well, writing via social media, "Congrats @michelleyoung and @kingbabatude! Chrishell Stause’s Dating History Posted: 22 Dec 2021 11:10 AM PST Crazy for Chrishell! From her high-profile marriage to Justin Hartley to Dancing With the Stars romance rumors, Chrishell Stause's love life has made headlines since the 2000s. The soap star was linked to Matthew Morrison when she first started working in Hollywood. The pair got engaged in 2007, but called it quits before walking down the aisle. Stause threw shade at the Glee star during season 1 of Selling Sunset. "If I ended up with the person I was with at 25, I would want to kill myself," she told Netflix cameras. "And yeah, you can Google that. You were a dick! Sorry!" Stause also dated Graham Bunn in her 20s. During a break in their on-again, off-again relationship, she was nearly offered the role of The Bachelorette in 2008. As a result, Bunn applied for season 4 of ABC series to win Stause back, but later learned that the network gave DeAnna Pappas the gig. While Stause and Bunn reunited after he was eliminated by Pappas, they split for good in 2009. She started dating future husband Hartley in 2013. "We met up at a concert and talked all night. I drove her home and called the next day. We haven't been apart since. I knew right away [and] was like, 'Oh boy, here we go,'" the realtor recalled of meeting Hartley before their nuptials. "The next day I texted my friend: ‘I found him.'" After four years together, Stause and Hartley wed in 2017. Less than three years later, he filed for divorce in November 2019. The real estate agent claimed on Selling Sunset that she was "blindsided" by their split, claiming she learned he took legal action via text message. Us broke the news that their divorce was finalized in January 2021. While her marriage was over, Stause's star rose with the success of the Netflix reality series. She subsequently landed a spot on season 29 of Dancing With the Stars — and found herself tangled up in rumors about partner Gleb Savchenko's divorce from wife Elena Samodanova. While Samodanova accused Savchenko of having "multiple affairs," he and Stause both denied that their relationship was inappropriate. "I feel like it really is annoying because it's one of those things where, you know, unfortunately, the timing of what he's going through personally, people want to make it into something it's not. So, we're just friends," she said on E!'s Daily Pop in November 2020. "I get it. I've been on soaps. You have to have that kind of stuff sometimes when you're on the dance floor. People misinterpret that." Stause was later linked to another DWTS dancer: Keo Motsepe. The pair dated for three months before Us confirmed in February 2021 that they pulled the plug on their romance. “There were multiple things that led to the breakup. Keo’s super upset over this and still trying to process it,” a source revealed at the time, noting that Stause was the one who decided to call it quits. Four months after ending things with the South Africa native, the former soap opera actress announced that she had moved on with her boss and Selling Sunset costar Jason Oppenheim. The real estate broker later opened up about the “transition” from being friends and coworkers to being boyfriend and girlfriend. “We had been so open about what we were looking for with each other because we had become close friends,” he exclusively told Us in November 2021. “She knew my dating life, and we would almost joke about our each other’s dating lives and what we were looking for and things like that. … I love her.” The romance didn’t last long, however, with Us confirming the following month that the pair had split. Scroll through for a breakdown of her dating history: ![]() Morrison said in a 2013 interview that he proposed to Stause because he “felt under pressure from society” to take the next step. “I didn’t do it for the right reasons; we’d been going out for a year or so … I was thinking, ‘This is the age when I should probably start having kids, so this is what I should do,'" he recalled to Cosmopolitan. “But after I did it, I immediately felt in my heart it wasn’t right. My instant thought was ‘What did you just do?’” He continued: “We talked and decided to break off the engagement. … It was messed up. … It turned out to be one of the biggest growing experiences I’ve had as a man. I’d made this massive decision; I’d promised this girl a life together and I couldn’t follow through. It was awful.” Morrison went on to marry Renee Puente in 2014. They share son Revel. Carolyn Contino/BEI/Shutterstock ![]() Bunn and Stause confirmed that they were back together post-Bachelorette at the premiere of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 in 2008. “We had dated off and on before that, but the timing wasn’t right. We stopped seeing each other in December [2007],” he told reporters at the time. “I’m very grateful and very flattered to be with this beautiful lady. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. She’s just amazing.” After they split for good, Bunn was linked to Michelle Money on season 2 of Bachelor Pad and AshLee Frazier on Bachelor in Paradise season 1. Amanda Schwab/Starpix/Shutterstock ![]() While the actor has stayed mum on their split, Stause got emotional about their divorce on season 3 of Selling Sunset. "It takes a toll on your soul, where you just feel like … the anger! Like, how could you do it this way? And the sadness, like, I love him so much. This was my best friend,” she said on the show. “Who do I talk to now? It’s such a roller-coaster." In their divorce documents obtained by Us, Hartley claimed that the pair split in July 2019, months before they attended the Emmys together that September. Stause, however, listed their date of separation as November 22, 2019, the same day he filed. Us revealed in January 2021 that their divorce was finalized, confirming that they did not sign a prenup. Us broke the news in May 2020 that Hartley started seeing former costar Sofia Pernas. Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() After weeks of rumors surrounding Stause’s relationship with Savchenko, she went public with Motsepe, who competed on DWTS season 29 with actress Anne Heche. “I will always make you smile @Chrishell.Stause,” Motsepe captioned a video of himself calling Stause “baby” in December 2020 via Instagram Stories. After her divorce was finalized in January 2021, a source told Us that “Chrishell has moved on with her life” and “is looking forward to new beginnings” with Motsepe, but the pair called it quits the following month. Courtesy of Keo Motsepe/Instagram ![]() In July 2021, Stause posted a series of photos to Instagram that showed her cuddling up with her Selling Sunset costar. “Love you Chrishell," Jason's twin brother, Brett Oppenheim, commented on the post. "Thank you for making my brother happy.” After several more of their coworkers chimed in to say they were happy for the couple, Jason confirmed to Us that the pair had become a couple. “Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship," he said. "I care about her deeply and we’re very happy together.” Before the new year, however, the duo went their separate ways. "She was the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life," the Oppenheim Group cofounder wrote via Instagram in December 2021, explaining that the duo had "different wants regarding a family." Stause reiterated her ex's statement, writing via social media, "Men have the luxury of time that women don't and that's just the way it goes. All of that being said, navigating this public terrain is difficult and I am just trying my best." Courtesy of Chrishell Stause/Instagram |
James Franco Breaks His Silence 4 Years After Sexual Misconduct Allegations Posted: 22 Dec 2021 10:47 AM PST Speaking out. In his first interview in nearly four years, James Franco revealed that he has been in recovery for sex addiction since 2016. "It's such a powerful drug, and I got hooked on it for 20 more years,” the Oscar nominee, 43, said during an interview with SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle set to air on Thursday, December 23. “The insidious part of that is that I stayed sober from alcohol all that time. … In my head, it was like, 'Oh, I’m sober. I’m living a spiritual life.' Where on the side, I’m acting out now in all these other ways, and I couldn’t see it.” The 127 Hours actor has largely stayed out of the public eye since January 2018 when five women accused him of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior. Just days earlier, the Palo Alto author had denied previous accusations made against him after he won a Golden Globe for his film The Disaster Artist. "In my life, I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I've done,” Franco told Stephen Colbert at the time. "The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn't have a voice for so long. I don't want to, you know, shut them down in any way. It's, I think, a good thing and I support it." In his new interview, the California native explained that he decided to take a “pause” for the past several years before saying anything about the additional allegations. “I’ve just been doing a lot of work,” the Deuce alum said, detailing what he’s been doing since 2018. “I was in recovery before, you know, for substance abuse, and there were some issues that I had to deal with that were also related to addiction. And so I’ve really used my recovery background to kind of start examining this and changing who I was.” Franco revealed that he struggled with alcoholism as a teenager before deciding to get sober at 17. Shortly after he stopped drinking, he gained fame as part of the Freaks and Geeks cast, which led to bigger roles in films including 1999’s Never Been Kissed and 2002’s Spider-Man. As his star grew, however, he said he replaced drinking with sex. “I’m just trying to fill that hole and it never gets filled,” he recalled, adding that he didn’t understand he had a problem until his sister-in-law Iris Torres gave him a book about sex addiction. “When I read this book, it was like it hit me like a bullet. And it was like, 'Oh, my God, that’s me.'” After reading the book, Franco realized he needed to seek professional help. “It was like, 'Oh, this is an issue that I’m not gonna solve on my own,'” he explained. “The behavior spun out to a point where it was, like, I was hurting everybody.” |
OMG! JoJo Siwa 'Got Trampled' by NBA's Jae Crowder While Sitting Courtside Posted: 22 Dec 2021 10:44 AM PST Wipeout! After Phoenix Suns player Jae Crowder dove to catch the ball during his most recent NBA game, he nearly crashed into JoJo Siwa, who was sitting courtside with a friend. "Now, I just got trampled by a player," the "Kid in a Candy Star" performer, 18, joked in a Tuesday, December 21, Instagram Story video before resharing footage of the "scary" moment. "I just saw my life flash before my eyes. If I wouldn't have ducked, oh, I would have been out [and] down for the count!" Siwa continued: "I think I would have had a broken neck because I would have gone [backward]. It really spiced up the day." ![]() As the Dancing With the Stars season 30 runner-up watched the Los Angeles Lakers play the Arizona team on Tuesday, the pro forward, 31, lunged to save a ball that had headed into the stands. Luckily, the Dance Moms alum leaned forward shortly before he landed. Crowder then fell over the backs of the empty courtside seats next to Siwa, landing on the floor. (The Bossmann founder, for his part, has yet to address the incident.) The Suns’ official Twitter account later poked fun at the moment, writing, "How’s it going down there, @itsjojosiwa?" The former Nickelodeon star replied, "Quite well." Ahead of the now-viral fall, the former competitive dancer and her friend Katie Mills were excited to watch the sporting event — even donning Lakers jerseys and matching face masks per COVID-19 guidelines. "Excited? Where we going," the Nebraska native asked her courtside companion in an Instagram Story clip on Tuesday, showcasing her own enthusiasm. "Thirty minutes early [and] I feel like we're literally the first people here for sure. Nailed it. I'm so pumped! I'm louder than when these players came out." Siwa further documented the pair's NBA adventures, showing off the snacks they ordered during the game. ![]() "Realized today how badly I always wanted to sit courtside and eat a hot dog, I don't know why," she explained in her social media upload. The Siwas Dance Pop Revolution star and the Utah native have recently been the subject of dating speculation due to the social media exchanges they shared before attending Tuesday's game together. Us Weekly confirmed in October that Siwa had split from girlfriend Kylie Prew after less than one year of dating. "I've said this once before, I do want to have a cuddle buddy because I miss cuddling a lot," the reality star told Us about her dating status earlier this month. "I'm not opposed to the idea of [dating]. Obviously, I am a believer in that, like, life is life and I might meet somebody tonight that I fall in love with. And the next time that I fall in love, you know, I'm down to date, but until then, I avoid dating for fun. I would only date if I was really serious." |
Inside Olivia Jade, Jacob Elordi's 'Casual' Relationship: 'There's Sparks' Posted: 22 Dec 2021 10:35 AM PST ![]() Ready for romance? Olivia Jade Giannulli and Jacob Elordi are “enjoying hanging out together” as they spark relationship rumors, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. The Dancing With the Stars alum, 22, and the Euphoria actor, 24, were recently spotted grabbing coffee together in Los Angeles, causing fans to wonder whether they were more than just friends. The pair “have been on some dates,” but are “keeping it casual” for the time being, the insider says. Last month, Us confirmed Elordi had split from Kaia Gerber after more than one year of dating. Giannulli, for her part, revealed in August that she and on-off boyfriend Jackson Guthy had called it quits, telling fans during an Instagram Q&A that she was “indeed” single. Though they’re having fun exploring what could be, the Kissing Booth star and the influencer are taking things slow. “They both got out of relationships recently so they’re not rushing into anything serious,” the source tells Us. “So far it’s going well and there’s sparks between them.” The Australian actor recently opened up about how his romance with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber‘s daughter helped him adjust to dating in the spotlight. “She handles herself wonderfully publicly," he told Men’s Health in an interview published on Monday, December 20, and conducted before the pair went their separate ways. “[She taught me] how to deal with it and just kind of be whatever about it, you know?” While the former couple attempted to keep their relationship relatively low-key, the 20-year-old model made a rare comment about Elordi during a conversation with Vogue ahead of their split. “Being able to be with someone I trust, where we don’t want anything from each other, having a safe, steady relationship like that, has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of love and what it feels like to love without conditions,” she told the magazine in the June/July 2021 cover story. “Lust is touching other people or wanting them, but love is really seeing someone.” Giannulli, for her part, reunited with Guthy in August 2019, three months after Us confirmed that the duo broke up amid reports of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli‘s involvement in the college admissions scandal. (Both the actress, 57, and the designer, 58, served time in prison after pleading guilty to fraud charges in May 2020.) “Jackson broke up with Olivia because it was all getting to be too much for him,” a source revealed of the May 2019 split. “It wasn’t necessarily affecting his career, but the fact that he couldn’t be seen out in public with Olivia was difficult.” After rekindling their romance that summer, the YouTube star and the musician continued dating for two years. Upon revealing her single status in August, Olivia Jade shared words of wisdom for women dating in their 20s. “You’re still so young!” she replied during an Instagram Q&A. “Have fun, be safe, & let the universe do it’s [sic] thingggg. What is meant to be will be.” With reporting by Diana Cooper |
How 'Selling Sunset' Stars Are Reacting to Chrishell and Jason's Split Posted: 22 Dec 2021 09:54 AM PST Supporting their friends. Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim broke their silence on their breakup on Tuesday, December 21, hours after Us Weekly confirmed their split, and now, their friends are weighing in. Oppenheim, 44, spoke out first, releasing a statement hinting their differing views on children ended the romance. "While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends we will always love and support one another. She was the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life," he shared at the time, adding that they "have different wants regarding a family." The California native made it clear that there is no bad blood between him and his ex. "Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me,” he added. Netflix costar Mary Fitzgerald, one of The Oppenheim Group cofounder’s ex-girlfriends and Stause’s close confidants, commented, “Love you both babe! "Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward,” Stause shared via Instagram on Tuesday. At 40, Stause is ready for children and explained that she can’t wait much longer simply because of biology. "Men have the luxury of time that women don't and that's just the way it goes,” she noted. The Missouri native, who was previously married to This Is Us actor Justin Hartley from 2017 until they finalized their divorce earlier this year, said she was sure that she wants to be a mom. “I very much hope to one day have a family and decisions I make at this point are with that goal in mind,” she wrote. “Thank you for the kindness and support to those that understand.” She concluded her heartfelt statement with a shout-out to her ex. "And thank you Jason for the most incredible relationship and for consistently being honest with me even when it hurts." An insider told Us exclusively that the split hasn’t caused trouble at the Los Angeles office. The professional environment "hasn't been affected by the breakup." In fact, the pair, who split shortly before Stause hit the People’s Choice Awards red carpet solo earlier this month, have kept their separation very quiet. Even some of their loved ones were blindsided by the news. "It's definitely a surprise to some of their close friends," another insider shared. "They aren't going around telling everyone about their breakup. Some cast just found out about it today." James Franco: Where I Stand With Seth Rogen After Sexual Misconduct Scandal Posted: 22 Dec 2021 09:43 AM PST James Franco is opening up about how being accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women impacted his friendship with Seth Rogen. “I absolutely love Seth Rogen. I worked with him for 20 years. We didn’t have one fight for 20 years. Not one fight. He was my absolute closest work friend and collaborator. We just gelled and what he said is true. We aren’t working together right now and we don’t have any plans to work together,” Franco, 43, admitted in a preview of his upcoming interview on SiriusXM's “The Jess Cagle Podcast“, which airs in full on Thursday, December 23. “Of course it was hurtful, in context, but I get it, he had to answer for me ’cause I was silent.” The 127 Hours actor acknowledged that it wasn’t anyone else’s responsibility to speak for him, adding, “It’s one of the main reasons I wanted to talk to you today. I don’t want Seth or my brother [Dave Franco] or anyone to have to answer for me anymore.” In 2014, the Oscar nominee was accused of propositioning a 17-year-old girl via Instagram. Four years later, the James Dean star spoke out about the claims made against him. "In my life, I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I've done. I have to do that to maintain my well-being. I do it whenever I know that there is something wrong or needs to be changed, I make it a point to do it," he said on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in January 2018. "The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn't have a voice for so long. I don't want to, you know, shut them down in any way. It's, I think, a good thing and I support it." That same month, five more women came forward and alleged they were victims of James’ inappropriate behavior. Earlier this year, the Spring Breakers star reached a settlement in the 2019 lawsuit. Us Weekly confirmed in February that two of his former acting students decided to drop their claims, according to court documents. Following the settlement, Rogen, 39, revealed that he didn’t have any plans to work with his former Freaks and Geeks costar again. "I have not, and I do not plan to [work with James] right now," the Superbad actor told the U.K.'s Sunday Times in May. “What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment, and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that." The Golden Globe winner, for his part, explained his decision to stay “quiet” after the allegations initially came to light. “[It] did not seem like the right time to say anything. There were people that were upset with me, and I needed to listen,” he told SiriusXM's Jess Cagle. “When something like this happens, the natural human instinct is to just make it stop. You just want to get out in front of it and whatever you have to do, apologize, get it done. But what that doesn’t do is allow you to do the work and to look at what was underneath. The California native noted that he has been “doing a lot of work” since the scandal made headlines, saying, “I was in recovery before for substance abuse and there were some issues that I had to deal with that were also related to addiction. So I’ve really used my recovery background to kind of start examining this and changing who I was.” If you or someone you know have been sexually assaulted, contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). |
