An insider exclusively tells Us Weekly that Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, woke up at 5 a.m. to check out what Santa Claus left under the tree for them.

“While Kate and William avoid overly spoiling the children, they let the rule slide at Christmas,” the source says.

The boys enjoyed their gifts to use outdoors, including a camping kit for George — complete with tent, walkie talkies and a flashlight — and a climbing frame for Louis, the insider adds. Charlotte, meanwhile, was given a children’s video camera that she adores. All three siblings excitedly unwrapped several games and books on Christmas morning too.

The Duke of Cambridge, 39, made sure that his wife, also 39, didn’t feel left out. “After a busy year, William wanted to make this Christmas extra special for Kate and surprised her with a beautiful bracelet,” the source explains.

Since the queen, 95, decided to stay at Windsor Castle for the holidays amid the most recent rise in COVID-19 cases, the family didn’t attend her usual family affair at Sandringham. Instead, they had their own quiet celebration at their countryside home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, England and the Duchess of Cambridge delivered a homemade feast.

"Kate cooked a traditional Christmas feast for lunch – turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, ham, roast potatoes and all the trimmings,” the insider tells Us. The mother of three even “used her creative skills to decorate the table with candles, evergreen branches and cones as centerpieces.”

The younger royals assisted their mom with dessert. "The children helped Kate bake a chocolate Christmas log and apple pie for dessert, but the highlight was making a gingerbread house, covered in their favorite sweets,” the source says.

The traditional English Christmas “crackers” were present, with the whole family setting off the poppers to find confetti, paper crowns and other novelties. The kids loved reading the jokes that were found alongside the confetti, the insider notes.

The Cambridges also had a chance to video chat with the queen, Prince Charles and a few other royal relatives, which delighted the children.

Following Christmas, the family celebrated Boxing Day on Sunday, December 26. It was a big game day for William and George, who, as soccer fans, were disappointed that their favorite team, Aston Villa, lost to Chelsea. “But they didn't let it ruin the festivities!" the source says.

Side-by-side splits! Tina Louise opened up about how Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim's breakup influenced her decision to end things with Brett Oppenheim.

"We're still friends. It got to the point where I wanted to take the next step in the relationship and he wasn't quite there yet," the 40-year-old star recently told TMZ after news broke on December 21 that she and the Selling Sunset star, 44, split after eight months together. (Stause, 40, and Jason, also 44, confirmed their split a few hours earlier that day.)

The Australia native noted that she "wasn't sure" if she wanted kids ahead of her breakup with Brett, but explained that he, like his brother, doesn't want to be a dad. Brett and Jason's aversion to becoming parents influenced both Stause and Tina Louise's choice to walk away from their respective relationships.

"I think, maybe, the relationship with Chrishell and Jason may have prompted me to ask similar questions with Brett and that sort of ended the relationship," Tina Louise told the outlet in an interview published on Monday, December 27.

The Sugar Taco owner explained that she and Brett called it quits a few weeks before the news broke earlier this month. When it comes to mending her broken heart, Tina Louise added that she and the Days of Our Lives star have grieved differently.

"I tend to remove myself a little bit and give myself some space and distance to figure out where I am. Kind of work on my growth," she said of her own healing process. The Los Angeles resident added that the Kentucky native and the real estate mogul haven't had as much distance since they parted ways.

"I think Chrishell and Jason remained friends and continue to remain friends. They were friends before they got together. They're always going to be friends," Tina Louise noted. "They still love each other every much but [the] circumstance’s where she wants one thing and he wants another."

The restauranteur has also seemingly taken the friend approach to her relationship with Brett post-split, telling the outlet that they were still spending Christmas together.

"I'm going to visit his family. We're still very close," she said, adding that they are strictly platonic at this point. "There [are] certain things I want, certain things he can't give me. I'm friends with all my exes."

Brett and Tina Louise made their relationship public in April, with the model confirmed earlier this month that he was officially her ex. "We remain very good friends," she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time.

The realtor briefly addressed the split as well on December 21 via his Instagram Story. After a fan asked whether Brett was single, he replied, "As of very recently, actually, yes."

Earlier that day, Jason commented on his split from Stause, who he started dating privately in May.

"While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends we will always love and support one another," Jason wrote via his Instagram Story at the time. "She was the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life."

The All My Children alum further explained the reasoning behind her and Jason's breakup in her own social media post, pointing to their differing views on having a family as the straw that broke the camel's back.

"Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward," Stause wrote. "Men have the luxury of time that women don't and that's just the way it goes. All of that being said, navigating this public terrain is difficult and I am just trying my best."

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s Seven-Decade Love Story

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 04:14 PM PST

It's been seven decades since Prince Philip wrote to Queen Elizabeth II to say he had "fallen in love completely and unreservedly" with her, and the couple have been together ever since — through marriage, childbirths, triumphs and trials.

An 8-year-old Elizabeth met Philip in 1934 while attending a wedding for Princess Marina and Prince George. Five years later, the pair reconnected at ages 13 and 18 while they were at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. Their second encounter is where they fell in love and began exchanging letters.

After getting engaged in July 1947, they tied the knot that November at Westminster Abbey in London. They would go on to welcome four children: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

"He is someone who doesn't take easily to compliments but he has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years," the monarch said during a speech on her golden wedding anniversary in 1997. "And I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim, or we shall ever know."

Elizabeth and Philip went on to become the longest-married couple in the history of the British royal family. "[Their love] has withstood the test of time primarily because they love one another very much," royal expert Christopher Warwick told Vanity Fair in May 2020. "In a private capacity, he has always been deferred to by the queen as head of the family."

The British historian continued, "It's a very symbiotic relationship and a very firm partnership, starting off, of course, with these early meetings, this early correspondence — which became a friendship, which became affection, which became love."

Philip, for his part, spoke about what he believes has helped create a long-lasting bond between the pair. "I think the main lesson that we have learned is that tolerance is the one essential ingredient of any happy marriage," he said while celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 1997. "It may not be quite so important when things are going well, but it is absolutely vital when the going gets difficult. You can take it from me that the queen has the quality of tolerance in abundance."

In November 2020, the duo marked 73 years of marriage, but their tale took a turn three months later when Philip was admitted to King Edward VII’s Hospital as a “precautionary measure” after feeling ill. He was discharged one month later — his longest hospital stay to date — after receiving “treatment for an infection and a successful procedure for a preexisting condition.”

News broke in April 2021 that the duke had died at 99. “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle,” the family’s statement read. “The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss. Further announcements will be made in due course.”

See the timeline below to relive their early romance, their engagement and wedding, and the ups and downs of their marriage.

Days after his funeral, the queen rang in her 95th birthday without her beloved spouse. “I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate. While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world,” she said in a statement on April 21, 2021. “My family and I would like to thank you for all the support and kindness shown to us in recent days. December 2021: 1st Christmas Without Philip
The queen paid tribute to her late husband during her annual Christmas address on December 25, with her speech, broach from their honeymoon and a photo of him on the table beside her. “Although it’s a time of great happiness and good cheer for many, Christmas can be hard for those who have lost loved ones. This year, especially, I understand why,” her majesty said. “But for me, in the months since the death of my beloved Philip, I have drawn great comfort from the warmth and affection of the many tributes to his life and work — from around the country, the Commonwealth and the world.”She continued: “His sense of service, intellectual curiosity and capacity to squeeze fun out of any situation — were all irrepressible. That mischievous, enquiring twinkle was as bright at the end as when I first set eyes on him. But life, of course, consists of final partings as well as first meetings; and as much as I and my family miss him, I know he would want us to enjoy Christmas. And for me and my family, even with one familiar laugh missing this year, there will be joy in Christmas, as we have the chance to reminisce, and see anew the wonder of the festive season through the eyes of our young children, of whom we were delighted to welcome four more this year.”A source exclusively told Us later that month, “Christmas was a bit of a struggle for the queen without Prince Philip by her side.” Victoria Jones/WPA Pool/Shutterstock

"Christmas was a bit of a struggle for the queen without Prince Philip by her side," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "And not being able to spend it with her whole family [didn't help]."

The 95-year-old Monarch rang in the holiday season without Philip, who passed away in April at the age of 99, and away from her extended family amid a rise in coronavirus cases in the U.K.

"She's not one to wallow in self-pity and kept her chin up," the insider says, noting that her grandson Prince William "liaised" with Prince Charles, who visited the queen on Christmas, and Princess Anne, who was isolating through the holiday, to organize a group Zoom call with the monarch.

The virtual celebration "brightened up her day," the source adds, explaining that the moment also helped make William, 39, and Duchess Kate's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' holiday. They were celebrating at their countryside home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, England.

"Obviously, the Cambridges were disappointed not to be spending the day with the queen, but thanks to modern technology, they video called her first thing in the morning to wish her a Merry Christmas," the insider tells Us. "And the kids excitedly told their great-grandmother about their gifts."

Us previously reported that her majesty was set to fly from Windsor to Sandringham on Wednesday, December 22, but had to change her plans amid the spike in COVID-19 cases.

The holiday switch came just days after the queen canceled her annual Christmas party, which was set for December 21.

"During that weekend, I know that the queen didn't go to church at Windsor, which she normally would've done, just because she's just trying to keep every everyone safe for Christmas day just in case things can go ahead," royal expert Kerene Barefield exclusively told Us at the time.

Despite being apart from her children — the Queen shared Charles, 73, Anne, 71, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward with her late husband — and her grandchildren, Elizabeth still spoke to her countrymen in her annual Christmas address.

The former Bachelor in Paradise star also received 12 months of probation and was ordered to complete a DUI education course, attend a victim impact session and finish 75 hours of community service.

Us Weekly confirmed in February 2020 that the U.S. Army veteran was arrested in Palm Beach for driving under the influence. Sarah Hyland Shares a Christmas Kiss With Fiance Wells Adams in L.A.

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 02:52 PM PST

For the right reasons! Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are proof that Instagram can be the beginning of a beautiful love story.

Us Weekly exclusively revealed that the Modern Family star and the Bachelor in Paradise bartender were dating in October 2017. Months later, Hyland shared that the twosome met over social media.

"Have you seen those memes of 'Slide Into the DMs'? That. He slid into my DMs," the actress explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January 2018. "I thought he was funny, and he was a fan of [my] show. I saw him as the bartender and I was like, 'That's really cute!'"

Hyland referred to Adams' decision to privately message her as the perfect balance of "sexy," but not "aggressive."

"I was single, obviously, and was like, 'This is really awesome. You're being very forward," she said at the time. "But very confident and sexy, and I liked that."

The twosome took the next step in their relationship during the summer of 2018 when they decided to move in together in Los Angeles.

Hyland later credited Adams for helping her cope with with kidney dysplasia, a debilitating illness that once led her to contemplate suicide.

"He's seen me at my worst," she told Self magazine in December 2018. "I think that's why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that. It was a really intimate start to a relationship to have to go through those hurdles at the very, very, very beginning when you're just even getting to know a person."

Adams, in return, called his girlfriend the "real-life version" of Wonder Woman that same month.

"Imagine having a vital organ replaced. Imagine having 16 surgeries, going to hundreds of doctors visits and taking thousands of pills. Imagine losing crazy weight because of dialysis, medication side effects and stress. Then imagine, having to do it all over again. This time keeping it quiet while you recovered, all while trolls on the internet judged you for your appearance," the podcast host told Us Weekly exclusively of Hyland's health journey at the time. "Oh, and throw in filming the funniest show on TV and executive producing and starring in a movie … and never breaking down. Never losing it. I know Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman on film, but Sarah is the real-life version."

Adams and Hyland got engaged in July 2019. "That can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff," the comedy actress captioned a photo from the beach proposal, quoting the 1995 film It Takes Two.

The pair took their relationship to the next level by moving in together during the summer of 2018. “I think it’s brought us closer,” Hyland told Us in August 2018. “I don’t think it’s been long enough to discover pet peeves with each other. I think we’re in that honeymoon phase of living together, so it’s good that nothing is already starting because then I think that’d be a bad sign.” Walter McBride/Getty Images

Kids on the brain! Adams exclusively told Us Weekly that he "would love" to start a family with Hyland. "I’d like to have more than one,” the Bachelorette alum said. “I’m older, I’m mid-30s, but she’s still in her 20s, so I don’t think we’re there yet. But I think it’ll be a thing that eventually happens for sure.” He also noted that the airport TSA nearly ruined his proposal to the actress just months earlier. “I hid [the engagement ring] in my drone case and then when I flew into Fiji — if you have a drone, and they see it in the X-ray, they inspect it,” he recalled to Us. “I was really scared that they were going to open the drone case and she was going to see the box that said LS [for Lorraine Schwartz] and it was going to be over.”

The couple celebrated their second anniversary by writing sweet tributes to each other on social media. "Two years ago I asked when you were going to ask me to be your girlfriend. This summer you asked me to be your wife. If two years feels like a lifetime then I can’t wait to spend my eternity with you. You’re the calm to my storm. The sun to my moon. The Chandler to my Monica. I can’t wait to marry you @wellsadams," the Modern Family star wrote via Instagram. "Happy two years baby #ToPlutoAndBack." In the comments section, Adams chimed in: "I love you +1 anything you say." He also posted his own message on his personal account, adding: "I knew I was gonna marry her the 1st night I met her. But I guess how anniversary’s work, it’s when you decide to become boyfriend/girlfriend. Whatever, I lost that battle. You’re my person and I can’t wait to drop this day as our anniversary and make a new one with all our friends watching, while they judge our wedding and eat and drink for free...buncha deadbeats." Adams opened up about how the coronavirus pandemic has changed the couple’s plans for their wedding, which was originally set for August 2020. “I don’t know if a lot of your fans know this, but [Sarah is] immunocompromised. She’s a transplant recipient, so she takes pills so that she doesn’t reject this new kidney in her body,” he explained on the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast. “We have to be super careful about the pandemic, more so than most people our age. We had to push it the first time around, that was tough. The thought was to push it to this year.” Although they intend to now say “I do” in the summer of 2021, he hinted at possible alternatives the pair have discussed in case they have to delay their in-person ceremony again. “If this thing continues and we’re not able to do it, we’ll do a courthouse. Happy Holidays! Vanessa Hudgens and BF Cole Tucker Get Cozy on Christmas

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 02:52 PM PST

Making memories! Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have enjoyed documenting their growing romance through cute photos on social media.

The pair first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted holding hands in November 2020, less than one year after her split from longtime love Austin Butler. At the time, Hudgens got honest about what she was looking for when it came to a partner.

"Your girl's open. I feel like at the end of the day, it's just about having similar fundamentals and wanting the same things," the Powerless alum told Entertainment Tonight. "I am not picky, really."

Hudgens added: "I know what I want and I'm like, if someone comes into the picture and can give me all those things, then great. It doesn't matter if they're in the public eye or not. If anything, I prefer them not to be, but we'll see."

The couple went Instagram official in honor of Valentine’s Day the following year. The same month, Tucker discussed his commitment to the High School Musical star during an MLB spring training interview.

"I got a girlfriend and she's cool. She's awesome, I love her," he told reporters in February 2021. "But I don't want it to be, 'Oh, Cole's dating Vanessa … ' I don't want it to be treated any differently than Mitch [Keller] having his wife down, or Ke'Bryan [Hayes] having his girlfriend come down. She's great. She'll be around. You will see her, but you saw the headline, it is what it is."

As their relationship continued to get more serious, Hudgens revealed how the duo first formed a connection.

“Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes,” the Princess Switch star told Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. “Zoom, you’ve got to love it.”

Hudgens believed her romance with the shortstop was something special, adding, “He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”

One month later, Hudgens elaborated on how she made the first move when she originally met the pro athlete.

"If I want something or someone, I'm going after them," she said during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move."

Hudgens previously dated Zac Efron from 2006 to 2010. The Gigi performer later moved on with Butler in 2011, and nine years later, Us Weekly confirmed the duo had called it quits.

"We met over Zoom — over a Zoom meditation group." Later, the athlete sent a GIF of himself playing baseball in the group chat. Hudgens didn't realize Tucker was the person in the image and replied, "Hot." “I’ve gone to a lot of games, way more than I have in my entire life condensed into a year. I get to come to your game.' And I'm like, 'Yes! Same thing.' It's great, he's amazing." She added that her relationship with Tucker feels different than her past romances. "It's just easy. We're like the same person, very much the same person, but with different interests," Hudgens said. "We have the same spirit, I think. We're both just energetic. We want to have a good time, easy, goofy. It's cool." Courtesy of Cole Tucker/Instagram

Home for the holidays! Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott put their kids first this Christmas amid rumors that their marriage is on the rocks.

“Tori and Dean spent Christmas as a family,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly of the BH90210 alum, 48, and the Canada native, 55. “They were all under one roof celebrating together.”

The pair rang in the holiday with their five children — Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 10, Finn, 9, and Beau, 4 — who “were happy” to be surrounded by loved ones on the special occasion.

“That’s what mattered the most to Tori and Dean, was making sure their kids had a nice holiday at home together,” the insider adds.

McDermott and the Messyness cohost, who tied the knot in Fiji in 2006, have kept fans guessing about their relationship status since the summer. In June, Spelling raised eyebrows when she confessed that she and the Slasher star were sleeping in separate bedrooms after he got back home from filming a project overseas.

Four months later, the speculation grew stronger after the Stori Telling author was photographed outside an attorney’s office holding a notepad that read “assets,” “support” and “custody.” At the time, a source exclusively told Us that Spelling “wants a divorce,” but the Scary Movie 2 star was hesitant to follow through.

“She feels trapped right now,” the insider noted in October, adding that the twosome “have tried counseling” and their kids “have no idea what’s going on.”

Later that month, the “90210MG” podcast host swiftly shut down a question about her marriage during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, getting visibly frustrating with guest host Whitney Cummings. “You know I’m not going to answer that,” Spelling fired back. (She did not appear to be wearing her wedding ring at the time.)

While neither the actress nor McDermott have directly addressed the rumors about their romance, a third source recently revealed that there’s “no trust” between the spouses. “It’s been building up over time,” the insider told Us in November, shortly before Spelling and the Chopped Canada host spent Thanksgiving together.

Earlier this month, the True Tori alum was pressed about what she had in mind for her husband’s Christmas gift — and expertly avoided providing a straight answer.

“The kids are getting him something,” she said on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, confirming that she would be “contributing” to the little ones’ holiday shopping fund.

The revelation came after eagle-eyed social media users noticed that McDermott’s name wasn’t part of Spelling’s festive stocking display. He was also noticeably absent from this year’s Christmas card, which was signed, “Xoxo, Tori & Family.” However, the actress was quick to clear the air.

“Fact: @imdeanmcdermott was filming his new feature film in Canada,” she replied in the comments of her Instagram upload last month.

Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane Wear Matching Onesies for Son’s 1st Christmas

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 02:47 PM PST

Three years after Bachelor viewers watched Lauren Bushnell get engaged on national television, the former flight attendant confirmed that she was set to be married again — and this time, she headed to the altar with country singer Chris Lane.

Bushnell shared the happy news on Instagram on June 18, 2019, as she praised her future husband. "I can't stop smiling 😭," she wrote. "I feel so incredibly blessed that every misstep, mistake and heartache has led me to you. I couldn't be happier to call you mine, forever. The journey was well worth it. Thank you Christopher Eric Lane for softening my heart and making it whole. Never going to stop telling you how much I love you and I will hold onto you forever and ever! Lauren Lane has a nice ring to it 💍."

"PS he wrote me a song 😭," she told fans. "I can't stop listening or looking down at my hand 😍."

The pair married in Nashville in October 2019, after less than a year together.

The Oregon native was previously engaged to Bachelor season 20 star Ben Higgins, whose proposal to her was telecast in the season's March 2016 finale. Higgins and Bushnell then starred in the spinoff show Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? before ending their engagement in May 2017.

That July, Bushnell started dating Devin Antin, but she and the real estate investor split in August 2018. Four months before calling it quits, she watched Lane perform at Stagecoach and even went backstage to hang out with him. She was attending the music festival with Antin, but he was not backstage during Bushnell's meet-and-greet with her future husband.

All those romantics ups and downs are history, though, now that she and the "I Don't Know About You" crooner heard wedding bells. Scroll down to revisit the couple's relationship timeline, starting with one of their first public outings.

Growing Family?
The “Hold You Tonight” singer and his wife aren’t planning on kids just yet, but he said “when it happens, it happens.” Although Lane told Us in May 2020 that he doesn’t know “if we’re completely ready for that yet,” he explained that “when it does [happen], it’ll be the right time.” When it comes to the number of little ones, Lane said he’s good with two, but the Oregon native has three siblings, so her number is higher. “She probably wants a lot from what I’ve heard,” he added. The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary in October 2020. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. Share a Laugh on Christmas

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 02:00 PM PST

From a horror flick meet-cute to a married couple with two children — Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar have come a long way since their onscreen introduction.

The She's All That actor and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum met on the set of 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer and instantly connected.

"We just would talk about life and stuff like that, and we had completely different philosophies on just about everything," Prinze told Us Weekly exclusively in February 2020.

The friendship also began over the Los Angeles native's desire to cook for Gellar, who he thought "was too skinny" at the time.

"So, we started this weekly barbecue thing at her house, and me and my cousins would come over and cook food for her and her friends," he recalled. "And then we'd make sure everybody ate, and that was kind of how our friendship began."

The costars friendship became romantic after a fumbled dinner date in January 2000.

“We were supposed to have dinner with a friend of ours, and she didn’t make her plane, so we went anyway,” the Long Island, New York, native told Us in February 2020. “We’d had tons of dinners before and for some reason, it felt different that night. Organically, it just transitioned into something else.”

Two years later, the pair tied the knot in September 2002 in an intimate ceremony in Mexico. The same year, the lovebirds reunited onscreen to play Fred and Daphne in Scooby-Doo, roles they later reprised for the 2004 sequel.

Giving back! It's impossible not to take notice of the large number of stars who have shown their passion for being charitable.

Over the course of her career, Angelina Jolie has shown just how much she cares about the lives and well-being of others. After helping to support the efforts of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Maleficent actress was named a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador in 2001.

In 2006, she launched the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation with now-estranged husband Brad Pitt. The organization helps provide aid to humanitarian crises globally. Us Weekly confirmed in 2010 that the former couple made a $1 million contribution to Doctors Without Borders.

Jolie previously told The Telegraph in 2012 why being charitable makes her feel good. "What are we in this world if we can't be of use to others in some way," she explained at the time. "It's a happier life. I had a wonderful mother and I learned a lot about women through her. I have great daughters who teach me a lot about the strength of women and little girls. And I've met amazing people around the world who've inspired me and taught me to be better."

Beyoncé's charitable deeds have also not gone unnoticed. She even has a BET Humanitarian Award win and DoSomething.org's Most Charitable Celebrity title to prove her good will. Not only has the "Formation" singer used her platform to speak out against injustice and social issues, she has also founded the BeyGOOD initiative.

Through BeyGOOD, the Grammy winner has worked alongside UNICEF to bring clean water and sanitation to the East African country Burundi and helped provide mobile coronavirus testing to Houston's Black community. In April 2020, her organization pledged to donate to mental health charities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"BeyGOOD recognizes the immense mental and personal health burdens being placed on essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic," a statement on her website read. "In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis."

Shawn Mendes, for his part, has worked with organizations including DoSomething.org and the American Red Cross to help combat worldly issues. He also founded the Shawn Mendes Foundation in 2019, a non-profit that aims to inspire his fans to create positive change.

"For a long time, I've wanted to find a way to amplify the causes that my fans and I care deeply about, and to help make the voices of our generation heard," the singer said in a statement, per Rolling Stone. "My goal in launching the foundation is to work alongside my fans, and do everything I can to help provide them with a platform that inspires positive change, and empowers young change-makers."

Camila Cabello Announces 'Social Media Detox' Ahead of the New Year

Seeking solace, ASAP! For some celebrities, the best way to find peace is to take a hiatus from cyberspace, where total chaos reigns.

Stars including Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian and Sarah Hyland have taken breaks from social media in order to refresh their minds, their mentions and their search history.

The “Bad Liar” songstress, who at one point was the most followed person on Instagram, is a huge fan of stepping away from the internet when trolls get her down.

"I have not, personally, in two years had any social media on my phone,” she said during an Instagram Live in October 2020. "I use the platform, I make sure I approve and write things I want to write, but I don't look at it and it's not on my phone.”

Though the former Disney star had plenty of fans following her, she also had her fair share of haters, who made it difficult for her to enjoy the apps.

"I just felt like every day I woke up and I was like, 'Why am I doing this?'" she explained. “These words hurt and they add nothing to my life and the truth is they're lies. So, that is how I handled it, by saying, 'You know what? I'm going to step out of this because I don't think it's helping me at all.'”

Even Kardashian, a veritable Instagram queen, has taken brief breaks from the app. After she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October 2016, she didn’t return to her accounts for three months.

Since then, the Skims founder has changed how she posts and no longer adds Instagram Stories in real time.

“I learned from a bad experience I had when I was robbed that people really knew my every move,” she explained during a New York Times conference in November 2019. “They knew what I had, they knew where I was, what I was doing and that, to me, really changed the things that I post.”

Now, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star waits a beat before sharing her life with her fans. “I still want people to feel like they’re on that journey with me,” she said. “But I might video something, then post it 30 minutes later when I’ve left the location, more for privacy.”

Ariana Grande
The pop star went dark on Christmas Eve in 2021, deleting her Twitter account. Before she officially signed offline for the holidays, Grande took to Instagram. “Merry :),” she wrote via Instagram Stories. “Be safe. I love you.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Shawn Mendes
The “Treat You Better” singer said he loves his apps a little too much — and that’s why he had to leave TikTok in October 2021. Luckily, he’s just on a little hiatus. “TikTok is great. I have extreme social media addiction, so I have to really balance myself out,” he explained to Audacy at the time. “I have to delete those apps every now and again.” The Canadian confirmed that he is “on a TikTok break right now.” He continued, “But when I have it, it’s everything … I am a child of Vine. They’re different, TikTok is much more advanced.” David Fisher/Shutterstock
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Following the birth of her third child, the Party of Five alum took to Instagram in October 2021 to announce she was taking a social media breather. Hewitt said she needed “at least a week, maybe two away” so that she could transition from “scrolling time” to “active time” with her family. The 9-1-1 star explained that being on the apps made her feel “bad” about her postpartum body. “Like I’m not enough. Doing enough. Getting my body back fast enough. Giving enough. All of it,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. Courtesy of Jennifer Love Hewitt/Instagram
Hayley Williams
The Paramore crooner wrote a lengthy statement via Instagram, announcing her social media pause. “I’ve been on the internet and more specifically, social media, since I was 15. Maybe even younger. It started with the blog sites … then Myspace. Then Paramore became a thing and social media wasn’t even just for my own personal use anymore but it was part of the job,” she wrote in the post. “It has been a useful and mostly beautiful part of the job. I crave connection and the internet is a pretty good tool for that when it’s not tearing us apart.” She continued, “As for my own personal experience with social media, I just don’t want it anymore. I’ve carefully considered this decision for almost a year now.  Now I know for sure that my desire to move away from personal accounts (yes, even my finsta) is based on nothing more than my interest in keeping a boundary between a public and a private life and wanting to spend more time looking up and out, rather than down.” Williams added that professional updates moving forward can be found via the band’s account. Lana Del Rey
The "Video Games" songstress deactivated her social media accounts in September 2021 after sharing a video with fans about why she needed a break from the internet. "Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow, we are going to be deactivating our social media accounts, my social media accounts," Del Rey said in the clip. "And that is simply because I have so many other interests and other jobs I'm doing that require privacy and transparency." She noted that she was still on track to release her eighth studio album, Blue Banisters, in October 2021. "I'm still present and I love what I do," she explained. "And I'm absolutely here for the music, and I'm also just going on some different endeavors. And I want to say thank you so much for all the support, and I do hope you like the record. It's a compilation of older songs and a few newer songs, some written by family and friends and mostly old collaborators, and there will probably always be more to come." Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Lorde
"I got rid of Twitter, I got rid of Instagram, I blocked YouTube, that was a big one," the "Solar Power" singer told James Corden in August 2021. "But now my social network is the New York Times cooking app. ... That's become a source of community for me." One month later, the New Zealand native went into more detail about her reason for stepping back from social media in Vogue’s October 2021 cover story. “I think I was known for having my finger on the pulse, so it was actually a huge decision philosophically for me to step back from that. But I started to see the phone as a portal,” Lorde explained. “I can’t keep going through that portal, in the same way that I wouldn’t just take mushrooms all these moments of a day. It’s too deep a tunnel.” She added: “I could sense that it would be very bad for the work and for me if I stayed online. I don’t think I’ve met too many people for whom social media is a net positive. It’s producing crazy chemicals, forming crazy neural pathways that are not rooted in positivity. … But I think we’ve got to be upfront about the things that are making us sick as a society.” PA Images/INSTAR
Delilah Belle Hamlin
In August 2021, the model told her followers that she needed some time away from her apps to focus on herself and her health. "On social media, we see what people want us to see. I want you to see that I'm not perfect," she wrote via Instagram. "For a long time, for many reasons, I didn't take my physical and mental health seriously. ... Right now I must prioritize my physical and mental health although I do feel weirdly guilty doing so. It's starting to get a bit scary so if I'm not as present on social media, if I don't meet deadlines, if I don't respond to messages, this is why. I'm sorry to everyone, but for me, I need to take this break to save my energy and use it to heal." Jason Mendez/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Scooter Braun

Lindsey Shaw
After receiving backlash for a TikTok in which she questioned a dance popularized by Black choreographers, the Ned’s Declassified alum revealed she was taking a break from social media in a teary Instagram Story video. "I just have to say right now that the hate in my inbox is not OK," she said in July 2021. "I did not mean anything in any kind of way. I am learning every day, as I think everybody is. And this kind of hate just needs to evaporate from the planet, no matter who it's directed towards. Crocodile tears? No, dude — this is like my soul out there. If you know anything about what I stand for or what I believe in, you know that it's not this." The actress continued, “For my own mental health, I needed to take a step back from social media anyway. But I'm not here to offend or belittle anybody. ... The intention wasn't that serious. I gotta just go off here for a little while. But I appreciate you, I love you and I'll be back. And I hope that I know more, and I hope we all have a little more compassion and understanding." Brie Larson
While commemorating the one-year anniversary of her YouTube channel in July 2021, the Captain Marvel star announced that she decided to put her social media project on hold for the moment. “So I did not think that I would hit the one-year mark on this, to be quite honest," she said in a video message to her followers. "I didn’t know how I’d feel putting myself out there weekly in this way. I think some of you know that I started this channel, I started thinking about it before the pandemic, and it was because I needed to just, like, I needed to shake it up. I needed to feel like I could just be silly and normal.” The Oscar winner explained that because film production had resumed more regularly after the coronavirus lockdowns of 2020, she would have less time to spend on her vlog. "I can’t keep up on doing videos weekly," she added. "I’ve got to go back to my job. My first job. My acting job.” YouTube
Bindi Irwin
The Crikey! It's the Irwins star announced she’d be taking a month-long break from the apps in June 2021, almost three months after giving birth to her daughter, Grace Warrior. “I feel tremendously grateful to share our life and conservation work with you but I need some time to focus on the happiness that is my family (both human and animal). You can keep up with our adventures by following my family and Australia Zoo on social media. 💙,” she wrote via Instagram. “Recently, I’ve had many people reaching out to share their own stories of working hard to protect their mental health. Thank you for sharing and speaking your truth. To my friends who are dealing with depression, anxiety and other battles every day — I see you. These issues are very real and deserve to be discussed and addressed. Surround yourself with the light of people who genuinely care about you and will support you during the good times and the hard times. Remember there are helplines available. Mental health deserves more understanding and support instead of being dismissed or patronised. You are absolutely worthy of love and kindness.” John Salangsang/Shutterstock
Margot Robbie
The Harley Quinn actress hadn’t been on Instagram for six weeks when she announced that she was officially taking a break in June 2021. “Jumping off social media for the time being - check out @luckychapentertainment if you’re interested in what we’re up to, otherwise ciao for now!” the Aussie revealed via Instagram. "Tonight’s episode and next week’s episode are really intense and really important … and I want you to lean into them and I want you to watch them," she said in an Instagram video. "It's different this season. You're right. We're in a pandemic, we're in the middle of the most dynamic call to action around racial reconciliation, certainly in our generation, and we're in the heartbeat of it all in New York City. So we're doing a heavy lift here." Sophy Holland/Bravo
Rebel Wilson

"I'm going to sign off for a bit because I'm filming a movie here in the U.K. that needs my full attention," she said in a March 2021 Instagram video. "It's a very different type of role for me, so I've really got to immerse myself in it. ... It's time for me to work my ass off, once again." Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Hailey Baldwin
"I don't even have a Twitter anymore because there was never really a time where I would go on there and it didn't feel like it was a very toxic environment," the model explained during a March 2021 YouTube video featuring psychiatrist Jessica Clemons. "The thought of even opening the app gives me such bad anxiety that I feel like I'm gonna throw up. ... I want everyone to like me, it's like, my downfall at times and I'm working through it. I think one thing I've had to come to the conclusion of is trying not to feel like I owe everybody an explanation or owe anybody anything, and really just try to correct what I need to correct personally behind closed doors." Baldwin also made some changes to her Instagram feed, restricting comments in order to create a more "encouraging and uplifting" environment. Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Kerry Washington

"It would be, like, ‘Evan Rachel Wood goes on a rant!’ or ‘Evan Rachel Wood attacks this person!’” she told Variety. “Honestly, I think [deactivating my account is] one of the best decisions I ever made! Really." Photo by Bad Robot/HBO/Kobal/Shutterstock
Ant Anstead

And for all the good things social media has it also carries a toxic element,” he wrote via Instagram. “I have blocked over 100 people in the last few days. Humans are lashing out. And it saddens me! So I am going to take a little break! Use the time to pamper the wife, annoy the kids, eat a vast about of carbs and watch movies that were made in the 1980’s!  Be kind to each other and seeya. Cole Sprouse
The Riverdale star took a break from all platforms in June 2020 after being accused of sexual assault by an anonymous Twitter user. He denied the allegation before returning to Instagram the following month, writing, “Know I’ve been off of social media for a while. Decided to take a much needed mental health break. I’ve never been the most active user of social media, but even the minor amount I had been engaging during quarantine had become a bit too taxing.” John Salangsang/Shutterstock
Jenna Marbles
The YouTuber announced in June 2020 that she would be taking a step back from her channel after apologizing for past racist videos. “I’m not sure that I want to continue doing stuff on this channel,” she told her followers, after saying sorry for the use of blackface and more offensive sketches in her catalogue. “I don’t want to put anything out in the world that’s gonna hurt anybody. I need to be done with this channel for now or forever, I don’t know.” Eric Charbonneau/Shutterstock

Tom Holland
Though his account is still up and running, the Marvel star revealed to E! News in February 2020 that he had to delete the Instagram app from his phone entirely. "It was taking over my life, and I was becoming obsessed by it," he explained. "Like, 'How many likes did I get?' and 'What did people say about my picture?' and who's doing this and who's doing that. I found myself focusing more on my Instagram life than I was on my real life ... Now that I've taken a step back and I've started to focus on Tom and the future of what Tom is gonna be. I’m just working on myself, and I feel really great for it." Shutterstock

Demi Lovato
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer paused her social media activity for several months following her July 2018 drug overdose. After seeking treatment in a rehab facility for three months, Lovato returned to Instagram for a good cause in November — to encourage people to get out and vote on Election Day. “I am so grateful to be home in time to vote!” she wrote alongside a shot of her at the booth. Lovato said goodbye to Twitter again in February 2019 after she was slammed for saying her "favorite part" of Super Bowl LIII was looking at memes about 21 Savage, who was arrested by U.S. immigration officials the morning of the big game and faces deportation. The Disney Channel alum clarified that she would never joke about "anyone getting deported," but still deactivated her social media account. She later wrote on her Instagram Story: "This break couldn't last long enough tbh." Lovato announced another Instagram break in July 2019 after showing support for her manager, Scooter Braun, amid his feud with Taylor Swift over his purchase of the "Shake It Off" singer's master recordings. But I realized that the opposite of fear is actually love. Love is the opposite of fear,” he wrote on Instagram. “So if you’re feeling anxious, or panicky, or fearful- just focus on being the most loving, compassionate, and empathetic human that lives inside of you. Today when you are out and about- smile at a stranger, hold open the door for someone, help a friend or a loved one in need. Aidy Bryant
The SNL star explained why she quit Twitter during a SXSW Q&A for her movie Shrill, "It's a bad space," she explained, "I think the thing that shocked me about it — and it’s really the reason I got off Twitter — was every time I played Sarah Huckabee Sanders … every time I did it, I would get a ton of tweets and 50 percent of them would be conservative people who would be like, ‘You are a fat disgusting pig who should not play this strong, independent woman.’ And the other 50 percent were like, ‘Aidy is too beautiful to play this fat, disgusting liar.’” Mike Jordan/Getty Images for SXSW

There are positives to enjoy and inevitable negatives that are best avoided. It’s a balance I have struggled with for a while now and in the interest of my mental health I feel the time has come to change my relationship with social media,” the actor wrote on Twitter at the time, noting that he would continue to post on behalf of organizations with which he partners. “I am privileged to have this platform. Consider it an alternative path.” Netflix
Jessie J
The singer announced in January 2019 that she was taking a step back from social media. “Starting my new year with some unexpected heavy personal stuff has only made me want to be more present in my life. Spending more real time with people I love and some time with myself. When sadness hits it’s important we embrace it, so it doesn’t define us and it’s for sure surfaced some emotions and things i need to work on with all my attention and love. I have to practice on myself what I talk about [on] stage and in my music too. In a good way :),” she penned via Instagram. “So I am taking a break from all social media for a while. Not forever, but for a while.”  She concluded: “For now, anything posted will be work related by my team. Want to live in the moment as much as I can, and not through my phone. I love you all. Reinhart announced the departure in a series of pointed messages posted to her Instagram Story in December 2018. “Do people on twitter ever get tired of being so negative and disrespectful to literally everyone and everything? Are they really that miserable? There’s hate everywhere. But especially twitter," she wrote at the time. "it’s like a cesspool for evil 15 year olds who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about and have nothing better to do. Taking a break from that toxic site and the people on it who feel the need to constantly attack me, my cast mates, my relationship, and Riverdale. Hate to break it to you online trolls: Spreading your hate and overall negativity online won’t make you any less miserable.” Emma McIntyre/Getty Images
Selena Gomez
The "Wolves" singer took a hiatus from social media in September 2018 after her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, married Hailey Baldwin at a New York City courthouse. “As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given,” Gomez wrote alongside a photo of herself on Instagram. “Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings.” That wasn't her first time stepping away from the social media spotlight: The Disney Channel alum did the same in 2016 as well.  Frederick M. During his whirlwind romance with Ariana Grande during the summer of 2018, he deleted his page, explaining he didn’t “want to be on Instagram anymore. or on any social media platform.” He returned to Instagram in September to promote the upcoming premiere of Saturday Night Live, noting, “f–k the internet tho….” Davidson once again wiped his account clean in October after news broke that he and the “God Is a Woman” singer had ended their engagement. Engaged! JoJo and Dexter Darden’s Sweetest Relationship Moments: Photos

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 01:08 PM PST

That loving feeling! JoJo and Dexter Darden kept their relationship somewhat private, but after the duo’s December 2021 engagement, fans can't get enough of their sweet romance.

The Saved by the Bell actor first popped up on the "Too Little, Too Late" singer's Instagram feed in June 2020 — but the pair didn't publicly show off their love again until the following year.

While Darden teased his romance with JoJo via social media during a date night in July 2021, it wasn't until the October 2021 release of her album Trying Not to Think About It that he gushed over his girlfriend in a way the world could see.

"Trying Not to Think About It is a project that is vulnerable, honest, motivational, emotional and most importantly, true! So many people battle with their brain and are afraid to express when they feel like they're losing this battle. You guys are not alone," he wrote via Instagram at the time, sharing photos of JoJo making the record. "@iamjojo thank you for not only creating a piece of art, but for also encouraging others to talk about the state of their mental health! You using music as a gateway for healthy conversation is truly inspiring, and I'm so grateful I got to support you through this thing from beginning to end!!!"

Later that month, the twosome documented moments from their time together as JoJo celebrated with record release parties and performances.

The Maze Runner actor applauded his love once more in December 2021 as she rang in her 31st birthday.

"Jo, thank you for challenging me, pushing me to be the best man I can be and making me smile when no one else can," Darden captioned a series of photos from their year-long relationship. "You are gift from God to the world, and the best present I've ever received. TO THE MOON AND BACK, I got Your back!"

Days later, the duo announced that the New Jersey native proposed while they were vacationing with family in Puerto Rico for the holidays.

"Forever with you? Sign me up," JoJo wrote via Instagram in December 2021. "Celebrating Christmas [as] a whole fiancé!!!"

The Aquamarine actress sang her man's praises, calling him the "most thoughtful, creative, positive, handsome, strong, loving, uplifting human being," before confirming that she said yes to his thoughtful proposal.

"Thank you for the most epic birthday surprise ever — and for flying out my mom, your mom, and both of our best friends to share in that incredible moment with us," JoJo added. "You are one of one. LFG @dexterdarden."

Darden expressed his excitement over the moment, commenting on the post, "Yupppppp🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 thank you for being my forever 💍❤."

The rapper, 44, purchased a home in Hidden Hills, California, that’s right across the street from the one he shared with his estranged wife, 41. The Grammy winner bought the house earlier this month for $4.5 million — $421,000 more than the original asking price.

In October, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum paid her ex $23 million for his share of the Hidden Hills home they bought in 2014. The $23 million price included $20 million for the property itself, plus $3 million for the home’s contents including art and furniture.

After the Skims founder filed for divorce in February, she and West agreed to seek joint legal custody of their four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3 and Psalm, 2.

Though the duo affectionately known as Kimye are no longer romantically involved, they still plan to coparent their kids as they hammer out the details of their divorce. “[Kim] wants Kanye to be a big part of the kids' lives,” an insider told Us Weekly earlier this month. "[He] will be invited to all holidays and family celebrations.”

The “Stronger” musician has repeatedly hinted that he wants to get back together with the KKW Beauty mogul, claiming in November that he never received divorce papers from Kardashian. "My kids want their parents to stay together,” he said during an appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast. “I want their parents — I want us to be together."

The Selfish author, for her part, has moved on with Pete Davidson. The duo were first linked in October shortly after the reality star made her Saturday Night Live hosting debut.

In court documents filed earlier this month, Kardashian’s legal team said that her marriage to West was “irremediably broken down.” The Dancing With the Stars alum also requested to be declared legally single as she and the Yeezy designer finish dividing up their assets.

"Irreconcilable differences have existed and continue to exist between [West] and me, which have caused our marriage to irretrievably break down. No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time," the paperwork read. "There will be no prejudice to [West] if our marriage is immediately dissolved, especially given the fact that throughout our marriage, we adhered to the terms of our premarital agreement and maintained the separate property character of our assets."

After West included a shout-out to the mother of his children during a concert earlier this month, a source exclusively told Us that Kardashian was taken aback by his public requests for a reunion.

"Kim knows Kanye is a good person and [she] respects him," the insider explained. "She was surprised by his comments about wanting to get back together."

“People always ask me what stage of grief I’m in. And my answer is never simple. I’m in a different stage of grief in each moment of every day,” the Booksmart actress, 29, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, December 26, alongside a childhood photo. “My grief is a multi course meal with many complicated ingredients. An amuse bouche of bargaining followed by an anger appetizer with a side of depression, acceptance for the entree and of course a little denial for dessert.”

Lourd continued: “And that’s how grief should be – all things all at once – actually there is no ‘should’ in grief – grief just is whatever it is for you and that is how it ‘should be.'”

The Star Wars icon died on December 27, 2016, after suffering a heart attack. Lourd clarified for her social media followers that her tribute was right on time from where she’s staying in Australia.

“Ps for anyone wondering why I’m posting this on the 26th it’s the 27th here down unda (aka Tomorrowland),” she wrote. “So what better thing to post for my Momby’s Australian death anniversary (4 words I never thought I’d be putting next to each other?!?) than this picture of her and I with a koala!? ❤sending my love to anyone out there who needs it 💕ℹ Ⓜℹ💲💲 🌱🅾⛎ Ⓜ🅾Ⓜ🅱🌱💕.”

Lourd continued the memorial via her Instagram Stories, sharing a snap of herself riding a waterslide. “My momby loved a good water park ❤ best way to spend her day today ❤,” she wrote on Sunday.

In subsequent Instagram Stories, the Scream Queens alum shared a Macy Gray song in honor of the first concert she attended with the late actress, and gave a glimpse of a risotto recipe, which was one of Fisher’s favorites.

“And of course a little [of] Momby’s favorite dessert: Baskin Robbins Cookies and cream ❤,” Lourd concluded.

One day after the When Harry Met Sally star passed away, her mom, Debbie Reynolds, died of a stroke. Lourd, who welcomed son Kingston with Austen Rydell in September 2020, recently described trying “to avoid doing things in their shadow” as a third-generation Hollywood star.

“There’s this one [headline] where I said something, and it was, like, three months after [they] died,” the American Horror Story actress said on the “New Day” podcast in October. “I didn’t know what the f–k I was talking about or who the f–k I was or what was going on. And I said something like, ‘Well, now that they’re gone, I get to just be Billie.’ … It sounded like I like wanted them to die, and that is absolutely the opposite of what I wanted. I would do anything to get them back, but it sounded like I was excited to have the ‘Billie Show.'”

Lourd explained that she “wanted to make sure that people knew me separately” from her relatives, both of whom had lengthy careers. “Now I feel like I kind of I am kind of trying to do the opposite,” she added. “I try to connect myself to them because I miss them.”

LOL! Tom Holland Subtly Reacts to Jokes About Zendaya Height Difference

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 12:27 PM PST

A subtle clap back. Tom Holland seemingly reacted to the never-ending questions he's received about his height compared to girlfriend Zendaya.

Why Tom Holland Won't Discuss Zendaya Romance: 'It's Our Story'

The 25-year-old appeared to "like" an Instagram photo, which was shared by Lad Bible on Thursday, December 23, featuring an image of 6’2″ actor Arnold Schwarzenegger next to 4’10” star Danny DeVito in 1988’s Twins. The text on the pic read, “According to science, short men have more sex.”

While the “science” is questionable, Holland’s official account double-tapped the post, according to Comments By Celebs. The cheeky social media activity comes after the U.K. native was frequently forced to discuss his two-inch height difference with Zendaya, 25, throughout the Spider-Man: No Way Home press tour.

The focus on the height difference grew stronger after the costars, who finally confirmed their romance after photos of them packing on the PDA were published in July, shared a funny story on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month. The couple recalled the challenges of nailing a stunt for the new film, which just passed the billion-dollar mark in its second weekend in theaters.

"Because of our height difference, I obviously — we were on the same point, we were attached — I would land before him," Zendaya explained, noting that they were attached in a harness. "My feet obviously hit the ground before he does."

The Cherry star chimed in, "She would land, and my feet would swing from underneath me and then she would catch me.”

He jokingly added, “I'm the superhero. I'm supposed to look cool."

Once the pair discussed it on the British talk show, the flood gates were open. With interview topics being extremely limited for the secretive Marvel movie, many reporters seemed to lean into the height difference — much to Holland’s dismay.

“Not that much taller,” Holland said during a Sirius XM Stars interview alongside Zendaya and costar Jacob Batalon on December 10. “Let’s just put this out there — maybe, like, an inch or two at best. It’s not like people say, like, ‘How did you guys kiss? It must have been so difficult.'”

The Uncharted star called it a “ridiculous” stereotype that men are supposed to be taller, and the Euphoria actress, who plays his love interest in the superhero movies, agreed. Their three Spider-Man films, directed by Jon Watts, never pretended Holland’s Peter was taller than MJ, but that’s not always the case in Zendaya’s other projects.

“I hate often having to cheat it and pretend,” the Emmy winner said, noting that actor are often put on boxes to pretend they’re taller than female costars. “Why not just let it be what it is?”

Because the California native's mom is taller than her dad, she didn't pay much attention to height in her own relationships, adding, “I honestly never thought of it as a thing because my parents were that way. So I didn’t know that people cared until — life.”

1st Christmas! Michelle Young Celebrates Holidays With Fiance Nayte Olukoya

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 11:34 AM PST

From roses to happily ever after! As soon as Nayte Olukoya stepped out of the limo to vie for Michelle Young‘s heart, viewers could tell there was something special between him and the season 18 Bachelorette.

Nayte received the first impression rose during the October 2021 premiere of the ABC show, and he later said he didn’t understand the significance of the gesture at the time.

“Obviously, you can assume that it’s just who Michelle [Young] had a really good first impression of, right?” he said on an episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast that same month. “But, like, the world of Bachelor Nation? I didn’t have a clue.”

While sparks continued to fly between the pair, the Minnesota native found herself falling in love with runner-up Brandon Jones as well. After revealing in the December 2021 finale that she was “in love with them both,” the teacher was forced to face her feelings for her remaining two suitors.

“They have given me everything that I’ve asked for and tomorrow is going to be the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” she explained during a confessional in the emotional episode.

After Brandon and Nayte each chose Neil Lane engagement rings, the former Bachelor contestant turned down the Texas native’s proposal, noting, "It's not that I don't love you, because I do. It's just that my heart is pushing me in a different direction and I have to go with what I feel and it hurts so much because you are this unbelievable person.”

Michelle later reflected on her instant connection with her now-fiancé after he got down on one knee.

"This has not necessarily been a smooth ride, but I’m also not willing to face that fear of walking away from this without you," she shared. "Because I have never felt a love like this before. And I love you with my entire heart and don’t ever want to think about waking up next to anyone besides you and doing life with anyone besides you. And at the end, I wanted to be standing in front of my soulmate and he is definitely standing right in front of me."

During the live After the Final Rose special, Michelle opened up about how much closer the couple became after they finished filming the reality series.

"I think what’s so hard is that you go through this experience and you have these magical moments, and you leave, like, in love, but then you spend so much more time together. You get to text, FaceTime, talk to each other’s families come and get significantly closer," she said in December 2021. "I think the biggest thing is we communicate through everything. And it doesn’t always have to be this perfect communication but we both know we’re going to stick in it. We are going to not let go. We are going to hold on, and that is the biggest part. Because it is not easy. There’s going to be uncomfortable emotions, and we definitely had them."

Nayte, for his part, candidly discussed his love for Michelle as fans got to see them take the next step in their relationship.

“Michelle, ever since September 9th, 2021, when I got on one knee to ask you to spend the rest of our lives together, it has been an absolute dream come true,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post at the time. “There will inevitably be ups and downs, just like any other strong relationship. But I don't care if it's tomorrow, 5 years from now, or 50 years from now. I plan on always giving you my full effort and working through life with you.”

Scroll down to relive Michelle and Nayte’s sweet romance:

First Meeting
The Canada native stood out from the start of Michelle's Bachelorette journey, receiving the first impression rose and the first kiss of the 18th season. During an interview on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast in October 2021, Nayte admitted that he didn't expect to reach both milestones, noting, "I'm not a smooth individual." Although the contestant wasn't "expecting" a kiss so soon, he said it was an "ever happy" moment for him. ABC/Craig Sjodin
Ready for a Commitment
Amid concerns that Nayte was not ready to get married, the account executive set the record straight on the “Click Bait” podcast in December 2021, saying, “When Michelle's asking me, like, ‘There’s one thing between being in love with somebody or falling in love with somebody, and then an engagement,' what I was trying to say in that moment was, ‘I don't have all the answers. I don't know what life is going to look if you and I [were] to leave this bubble.’”  He added: "All I knew is that I trust myself, like, I trust that I'm falling in love with you, I'm trusting that I seriously want to be with you. And I don't have all the answers. … I’m not the perfect answer guy who's going to tell you everything you want to hear." Michelle, for her part, explained that there was more to Nayte than met viewers' eyes.   “When Nayte just stepped out of the limo, he was just very confident — but he didn't have that overconfidence. He was still nervous,” she excluslveiy told Us Weekly while her season aired. “I was nervous as well. Through the season, [I've] always enjoyed peeling back different layers, and, at the moment in the season, I’m really, truly figuring out just how many layers he has.”   ABC/Craig Sjodin
The Proposal
After sending Brandon packing, Michelle said yes to Nayte's proposal, calling him her “person.” Nayte, for his part, gushed: “Michelle, the very first night I met you, I knew right then and there that we had a connection that I wanted to hold on to. The second night that we were together, we talked about running away together. I’m standing in front of you right now and the feelings are the same. I want to run away with you. I want to run away to forever with a woman that I've come to love this amazingly, crazy, wow kind of love. And through this journey, you've shared a lot of vulnerable sides of your past and I know that you've felt unseen at times and I want to let you know that I am completely prepared, willing and ready to make sure that you are always chosen first, seen now, today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives. I love you, Michelle.”   ABC/Craig Sjodin
Parental Stamp of Approval
During the After the Final Rose special, Michelle’s mom, Lavonne Young, responded to the assumption that she favored Brandon over her future son-in-law.   “We are in love with Nayte. Absolutely in love with Nayte,” she told host Kaitlyn Bristowe in December 2021. “You know, Michelle, I don't know if she's told you, but she shared one of the texts that you sent her, and I won't say — but it was beautiful. It was so heartwarming. It was so — it made me cry.” Nayte’s mother, also revealed that she and Lavonne were in contact "after each episode" aired. ABC/Craig Sjodin
Shutting Down Those Red Flag Concerns
Nayte took to social media to call out "the edit" that his relationship received throughout season 18 after viewers watched him pop the question on screen.  "Thank you for seeing past what people have always seemed to get stuck on when it comes to me. My whole life people have taken one look at me and thought they had me all figured out," he captioned an Instagram post in December 2021. "Maybe it’s the tattoos and piercings. Maybe it’s the way I carry myself. Maybe it’s as silly as my height or as ignorant as the color of my skin. Maybe it’s how awful I am at expressing myself or how gosh darn awkward I almost always am." The Bachelorette contestant credited his fiancée for embracing his true identity, despite fans' opinions that he was a "walking red flag." He continued, "But you, Michelle, you saw me for me from the very first night, and I will always always always love and appreciate you for that." He concluded: "All in all, Michelle, you’re all I see, you’re all I’ve ever wanted, and you’re all I’ll ever want. Thank you for being you and thank you for being the one to unlock my hearts potential. I can’t get enough of living this dream come true with you."   ABC/Craig Sjodin
Looking Toward the Future
Following the conclusion of her journey, Michelle addressed why her love story didn't need to be "perceived as perfect" to others.  "As long as it’s perfect for you and me," she wrote in a lengthy tribute to her fiancé via Instagram in December 2021. "You’ve quickly become the pep in my step, The reason I smile through hard days. I love the way you love, You make me feel beautiful in so many ways."  The reality star noted that although they have "no idea what’s in life’s plan," she was "incredibly at peace" having Nayte by her side. Snow Day! Chris Hemsworth Skis With Wife Elsa Pataky and 3 Kids

Posted: 27 Dec 2021 11:30 AM PST

Family forever! While Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky's whirlwind romance was always something special, their relationship continued to bloom after they welcomed their three children.

The Marvel star and the model tied the knot in 2010 after less than a year of dating. Two years later, they became a family of three with the birth of their daughter, India, in May 2012.

Prior to welcoming their baby girl, Pataky accompanied her husband on the red carpet for The Avengers' U.K. premiere, where he sweetly rubbed her baby bump.

She’s so proud of Chris and he’s proud of her,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They are an adorable family already!”

Less than two years later, the family grew even more when they welcomed twin boys, Tristan and Sasha, in March 2014. The following year, the Extraction actor noted that watching the Spain native take on motherhood caused him to fall even deeper in love with her.

“Once we had kids we were like, ‘We’re in it, this is it.’ All of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids," he told WHO magazine. "She certainly keeps me sane. I complain about things, she gets on with it.”

Amid the coronavirus pandemic in May 2020, Hemsworth shared that he'd always struggled to balance his career with other things that were important to him.

"I've spent probably 15 years in what felt like a marathon, a constant workload," he told GQ Australia at the time. "So much of my energy has been geared toward that, and then having kids at the same time, I've been constantly trying to find the balance. … For a little while, you don't think the kids notice and then you realize they do."

The Star Trek actor continued: "I absolutely want to continue to make films that I'm proud of, but that can also wait. Now what's more important is my kids are at an age I don't want to miss. And I'd hate to look back in 20 years and go, 'Right, let's get to work as a parent,' and I've missed it all."
