The Most Surprising Celebrity Hookups of 2021: Kim and Pete, More

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 02:29 PM PST

The past year was full of shockers, especially when it came to celebrities and their love lives.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker kicked off 2021 by sparking dating speculation with a trip to Kris Jenner‘s Palm Springs, California, home.

"Kourtney and Travis are officially a couple," an insider told Us Weekly in January. "They have been close friends for years and have been dating for a couple months. Travis is very smitten with Kourtney and has been for a while."

The pair’s relationship progressed quickly, with the couple sharing plenty of PDA via social media and taking family-friendly trips with their children. The Poosh founder shares Mason (born December 2009), Penelope (born July 2012) and Reign (born December 2014) with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, whom she dated on and off from 2006 to 2015.

The Blink-182 drummer, for his part, shares son Landon (born October 2003) and Alabama (born December 2005) with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He is also stepdad to Atiana De La Hoya (born March 1999), who is Moakler’s daughter with ex Oscar De La Hoya.

Barker and Kardashian got engaged in October during a visit to the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum announced the news via Instagram with a series of romantic photos.

“Both Travis and Kourtney are on cloud nine," a source exclusively told Us at the time. "The Kardashians, Jenners and Travis' family are so happy for the two of them."

Another Kardashian sister generated her fair share of headlines this year: Kim, who filed for divorce from Kanye West in February after six years of marriage. Eight months later, the KKW Beauty mogul shocked fans when she was photographed with Pete Davidson after connecting on the set of Saturday Night Live.

Less than three weeks after the duo were first spotted together, they confirmed their relationship when they held hands in Palm Springs.

"Kim lights up when she's around Pete," an insider told Us in November. "Their chemistry is off the charts and getting stronger each passing day."

Later that month, the new couple celebrated the SNL star’s 28th birthday with Kim’s mom and rapper Flavor Flav.

"Kim and Pete are getting serious. Things have definitely escalated quickly but in a healthy, fun way," a source told Us the following month. "Right now, they are just enjoying their time together and seeing where things go."

Keep scrolling for a look back at the most surprising celebrity hookups of 2021:

Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian
The comedian and the reality star were first linked in October after Kim made her SNL hosting debut earlier that month. After the twosome confirmed their romance, Davidson's SNL costar Kenan Thompson told Us that he and his fellow cast members were "surprised" by the pairing. "It kind of came out of left field, but I don’t know," he added. "It’s nice to see love if it can last.” Invision/AP/Shutterstock; Danny Moloshok/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
John Hersey and Katie Thurston
In November, Us confirmed that the former Bachelorette had moved on with Hersey, who briefly competed for her love on the show, one month after splitting from Blake Moynes. Thurston and her ex-fiancé got engaged during the Bachelorette season 17 finale, which aired in August. After the Washington native went public with Hersey, Moynes accused Thurston of "emotional" cheating during their relationship. “I really don’t think there was any physical cheating there, but there [was] clearly emotional [cheating] for it to transition as quickly as it did," he said on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast in November. "I feel stupid and foolish for allowing it to happen, to some degree." Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Cuffe Owens and Meghan King
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum went Instagram official with President Joe Biden's nephew on September 25 — and less than three weeks later, they were married. The duo tied the knot in an October 11 ceremony held at the Pennsylvania home of Owens' parents. The president and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, were in attendance. After two months, however, King announced that the couple had called it quits. “I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating,” she wrote via Instagram on December 27. “This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I’m shocked and saddened by the way things turned out. I am moving forward with my children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams.” Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram
Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim
Selling Sunset fans got a shock in July when the Dancing With the Stars alum revealed that she was dating her costar and boss. “Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship,” Oppenheim told Us at the time. “I care about her deeply and we’re very happy together.” The duo called it quits in December, saying that they weren't on the same page about having children. “Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward," Stause wrote via Instagram after news of the split broke. “Men have the luxury of time that women don’t and that’s just the way it goes." Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum set off a wave of drama in May when she announced her engagement to Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of her costar Falynn Guobadia, after just one month together. “Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled,” Williams said at the time. “Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.” In December, the Bravo personality told Us that she and her fiancé had settled on a wedding date — and were planning more than one ceremony. “We’re definitely doing one in Atlanta, and we’ll be doing one in Nigeria as well,” she explained. “And then we’re thinking about doing one at our home in Costa Rica.” Courtesy of Porsha Williams/Instagram
John Mulaney and Olivia Munn
In September, the comedian confirmed that he and Munn were expecting their first child together after his split from wife Anna Marie Tendler earlier in the year. Us confirmed that Mulaney and the Newsroom alum welcomed son Malcolm "just before Thanksgiving." Michael Simon/Shutterstock
Adele and Rich Paul
The Grammy winner made her first public appearance with the sports agent in July when the duo attended an NBA Finals game together. While promoting her album 30 later in the year, the U.K. native offered unusually candid details about the romance. "I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite," she told Vogue for a cover story published in October. “I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.” Allen J Schaben/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock
Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers
Us confirmed in February that the NFL star moved on with the Big Little Lies alum after his split from Danica Patrick. Later that month, Woodley confirmed that the pair were engaged during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while,” she said at the time. “He’s, first off, just a wonderful, incredible human being. But I never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living. Like, I never thought as a little girl … ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m gonna marry someone who throws balls! Yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it.” Matt Stroshane/Disney
Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde
The Grammy winner and the Booksmart director were spotted holding hands in January at the wedding of Styles' manager. An insider told Us at the time that the duo sparked a connection after meeting in 2020 on the set of Wilde's film Don't Worry Darling. “Harry and Olivia had chemistry almost instantaneously on set,” the source said. “It was only a matter of time before they got together.” Shutterstock (2)
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez
Bennifer lives! The "Jenny From the Block" songstress and the Oscar winner rekindled their romance in May after Lopez called off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez. In July, the pair made their relationship Instagram official, and two months later, they made their red carpet return with an appearance at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy. “They are both madly in love and don’t want to let one another go this time,” an insider told Us in August, adding that the Argo director thinks of the Hustlers star as the “one that got away." David Fisher/Shutterstock
Renée Zellweger and Ant Anstead
Shortly after finalizing his divorce from Christina Haack in June, the Wheeler Dealers alum moved on with Zellweger. The duo met on the set of Anstead's Discovery+ series, Celebrity IOU: Joyride. “They each feel like they’ve finally met their soulmate,” a source told Us in August. “[They're] really cherishing their time together.” P&P / MEGA
Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz
The Divergent actress and the Magic Mike star became a meme in August when they were photographed riding a bike together in New York City. The following month, they attended the Met Gala separately but were spotted leaving together at the end of the night. In October, they celebrated Halloween with a couples costume from the movie Taxi Driver. Diggzy/Jesal/Shutterstock
Kylie Prew and JoJo Siwa
Siwa went public with her then-girlfriend just weeks after coming out to her fans in January. Eight months later, the Dance Moms alum called Prew "the most perfect girl in the world." In November, however, Siwa confirmed that the pair had called it quits but remain friendly. “I’m really lucky that I didn’t lose her completely because, you know, even though relationships end, friendships don’t have to end,” she said at the time. “I was very happy that it can be, because that’s all I wanted.” Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Kanye West and Irina Shayk
After his split from Kim, the "Stronger" rapper had a brief romance with the supermodel. The couple called it quits in August after two months of dating. Shutterstock (2)
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian
The musician and the reality star kept fans hooked all year long with their unapologetic PDA and friendship with Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox. After the duo's October engagement, an insider told Us that Kourtney “believes to the bottom of her soul that she and Travis are soul mates." AFF-USA/Shutterstock
Jana Kramer and Jay Cutler
After splitting from husband Mike Caussin, Kramer briefly dated Cutler, who was previously married to Kristin Cavallari. In October, a source confirmed to Us that the romance was over almost as soon as it began. “She and Jay went on a few dates, but things seemed to fizzle out between them," the insider explained. "They’re not seeing each other anymore.” Jason Bihler/MEGA

"People in our lives kept telling us both that we should meet based on how much we have in common. So we eventually started connecting over social media," the Talk cohost, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, December 30. "When you are a widow and single parent, it is so wonderful to meet people that are in your same boat. It makes you feel less alone."

Kloots shared that it "was so nice" to connect with Allio, 37, in person, and she felt like they had "been friends for years" during their hangout. "We could have chatted for days," she added. "There is an immediate honesty and ease when you've been through trauma like we have."

Allio, for his part, lost his wife, Laura, in 2019 amid her battle with breast cancer, leaving him a single dad to son James, 5. He competed on Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette earlier this year but quit the show ahead of hometown dates so that he could be with his son.

IG Official! Minka Kelly and Trevor Noah’s Relationship Timeline

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 01:22 PM PST

Back on! Minka Kelly and Daily Show's Trevor Noah were first linked in September 2020, though they kept their romance relatively low-key.

"They've been dating for a while, well before [coronavirus] quarantine started," a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time.

While the duo seldom addressed their budding romance, eagle-eyed fans noticed they began following one another on Instagram shortly after news of their relationship made headlines, with the Born a Crime author even "liking" several of his girlfriend's posts.

Us confirmed that the pair briefly split in May 2021. However, they reconciled one month later.

"Minka and Trevor have been on-and-off," a second insider exclusively told Us of the South Africa native and the Friday Night Lights alum‘s relationship in June 2021. "Now they're back together. They realized they're both happier being together than apart. They already went on vacation together and are spending a lot of time together. They're working on their relationship while just enjoying each other's company."

While the pair enjoyed moving at a slower pace, they subtly made their relationship Instagram official several months later.

"Happy Birthday @xolisadyeshana. May your laugh always be loud, maybe your stories always be long, and may your friends always be good looking. 🥰," the Daily Show host captioned a birthday tribute for a friend in December 2021.

In the social media upload, Noah sat at a packed table alongside his loved ones — including the Parenthood alum, who was pictured next to her beau.

Save for their subtle social media debut as a couple, the pair have kept their romance details relatively private, something the actress has learned can be beneficial in the spotlight.

"I'm not dating anyone now, but for some reason, for me, things turn into clickbait craziness, and I've been through hell. So, now, I don't say anything," Kelly previously told the New York Post in October 2018 about her desire to keep her relationships to herself. "You'll never see me with a man on my social media feed. Unless I'm married. But maybe not. I enjoy keeping some things a secret."

Similar to his partner, Noah has also remained relatively quiet about his love life, though he once gushed about the concept of falling in love.

"I realize that if I love myself and I have friends that love me and family that loves me I exist in a constant state of love," the comedian told South Africa’s The Citizen in November 2016. "That's the thing I learned: happiness is a choice; happiness is hard work."

Does Jana Kramer Have a New Man? Signs She’s in a Relationship Post-Divorce

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 01:13 PM PST

Back in the saddle? Jana Kramer sparked relationship speculation in early December — and eagle-eyed fans think they know who her mystery man may be.

The One Tree Hill alum, 38, filed for divorce from Mike Caussin in April after nearly six years of marriage, finalizing the proceedings in July. The former couple briefly separated in 2016 before renewing their vows and had been candid about their ups and downs over the years, including Caussin's infidelity.

Kramer, who shares daughter Jolie, 5, and son Jace, 3, with the former NFL player, 34, has been vocal about taking her time when it comes to finding love again following her third divorce. The "I Got the Boy" singer was briefly married to Michael Gambino in 2004 and to actor Johnathon Schaech for 12 days in 2010 to before she tied the knot with Caussin in May 2015.

“I do feel like now I’m in a place where I kinda want to get back out there and date, slowly,” she said during an August episode of her "Whine Down" podcast. “I’m open to it, knowing that I still have a lot of healing to do. I’m open to dating and not knowing who my person is and knowing that I don’t have to be with someone, that I’m OK alone. … I need them to check all the boxes.”

The Holiday Fix Up star, however, has raised a few eyebrows regarding her love life in the months after splitting from Caussin. In June, she turned heads when she said she was in the midst of an "entanglement" with Graham Bunn. She later clarified that she is "friends" with The Bachelorette alum, 43, and they've been close for seven years.

The Michigan native was briefly linked to Jay Cutler after they were spotted spending time together in September. Us Weekly confirmed one month later that the whirlwind romance was over.

“Obviously the whole Jay stuff, that became public because we went out and he was a very public person so obviously that came out, but I never spoke on it because I didn’t know what it was,” Kramer said during a December episode of her podcast, addressing the situation in-depth for the first time. “Just because I went on a date with someone doesn’t mean we’re exclusive and he’s my boyfriend. He was never my boyfriend.”

That same month, the Christmas in Louisiana actress shared a photo of herself in a robe with a mystery man visible in the background. The snap caused a stir amongst Kramer's fans, who quickly attempted to learn more about her new suitor. After gathering clues, Us exclusively identified him as Ian Schinelli.

The Support the Girls star has since been spotted spending time with the 36-year-old trainer, who is also located in Nashville, but Kramer has yet to publicly confirm that she is in fact dating him.

Scroll down to see all the signs that the actress is in a relationship with Schinelli:

Romantic Getaway
The Friday Night Lights alum jetted off to the Little Palm Island Resort in the Florida Keys before the holidays. “Okay 38. I see you … let’s do this. #birthday @LittlePalmIsland #StartLiving #TropicalDistancing,” she captioned a series of photos from the trip on December 2. One fan questioned if Kramer’s getaway was a solo venture, writing, “There with Ian? 👀 or you’re alone but I doubt that😂.” Schinelli, for his part, shared a video from the same destination on December 5, captioning it, “Birthday Walk. On to the next adventure.” Courtesy of Jana Kramer/Instagram
Cheeky Vacation Comments
“New experiences to share. New challenges to face. New people in my life. For the first time in more than a decade (or more) I actually celebrated my birthday,” Schinelli wrote via Instagram on December 14, again tagging the tropical destination that Kramer was spotted at earlier in the month. “Detached myself from work. Detached myself from outside noise. Spent days actually unwinding and being able to relax. Being present and being able to enjoy where I am and the people I’m with and not worrying about rushing to do the next thing. (Very difficult task for me). Much needed and much appreciated.” Kramer raised eyebrows after she commented on the post, “🙌🔥❤️,” leading some fans to think that they were on the trip together. They each shared clues about paddle boarding adventures, appeared to be hanging out on the same dock and were on a boat with an identical city in the background. Courtesy of Ian/Instagram
Robe-Gate
The Country Crush actress made headlines on December 15 after she posted a photo of herself wearing a robe that she altered post-split. “When u have to sharpie a robe because u haven’t worn it since being divorced,” she captioned an Instagram Story snap at the time, wearing a gray bathrobe that was embroidered with a “C” to denote her former spouse’s last name. The letter “K” was written in black marker over the stitching. “Dear Santa, I need a robe with a K 🤣.” The cute snap got some attention, but it was the shirtless man seen in the reflection of the glass that turned heads. The then-unnamed man was spotted holding Kramer’s phone and taking the photo. Paul A Hebert/Shutterstock
Hinting at the Mystery Man
Kramer addressed her robe photo and the shirtless man who took the snap during the December 16 episode of her podcast, noting that she wasn’t ready to say who he was publicly. “I feel like there’s no way that someone can be honest and that it can be good. … I think I’m so afraid of, like, I’m used to just war and not being on steady ground. My therapist said, ‘You’re used to standing in sand so you can never really get your footing.’ So, when something can be, or looks like it could be steady, it’s like, ‘Oh that freaks me out,’ like, ‘That can’t be real,'” she explained. “For seven years, I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Clearly, there’s another shoe to drop and I don’t want to be fooled again.” The “I Hope It Rains” singer added that things were still new with the man in her photo, and she wasn’t ready to speak about how the romance was progressing just yet. “I don’t want to be embarrassed again. I was mortified with the stuff that came out with my ex and I,” she said. “I tried to change the narrative because I believed that we could have made it work but I also, when it happened again, now I look like a frickin’ idiot, I look like a girl who should have left a long time ago. I felt stupid and I don’t want that to happen again. I’m so afraid.” Michael Simon/startraksphoto.com
Holiday Activity Crossover
The 90210 alum shared a series of photos with her kids at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Tennessee on December 16. “Nothing better than @gaylordoprylandresort during Christmas time … a tradition for us always,” she captioned the snaps, including a group shot on the ice-skating rink. While Kramer didn’t tag her rumored beau, he shared photos via his Instagram Story from the same Christmas-themed spots with his own daughter. The similar posts led some fans to think they enjoyed the holiday festivities together. Courtesy of Jana Kramer/Instagram
Social Media Follows
Us confirmed that Kramer only follows one man named Ian on Instagram — and Schinelli follows her back. Courtesy of Jana Kramer/Instagram
Christmas Fun
After spending Christmas Eve with their mom, Jolie and Jace celebrated Christmas Day with their dad. Kramer, however, wasn’t alone on the special day — Schinelli shared a video of the duo riding his motorcycle to toast the holiday. He tagged the actress in the clip which showed Kramer holding on tight as they drove around. Courtesy of Ian/Instagram
Who Is He?
Schinelli is a fitness trainer who works at Crossfit Trivium in Brentwood, Tennessee. He was previously married and shares one daughter with his ex-wife. Before relocating to Nashville, he lived in Chicago and San Diego, according to his Instagram account. He is a former Navy SEAL, having graduated from military training in November 2010. He is friends with Luke Rodgers, the eldest brother of Aaron Rodgers and The Bachelorette’s Jordan Rodgers, and works out with Shawn Johnson’s husband, Andrew East. I Do! Every Married Couple in Bachelor Nation

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 12:45 PM PST

Bachelor Nation success stories! Between The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelor Winter Games, multiple couples have found true love — and a select few have made it down the aisle.

On The Bachelor, a winning couple didn’t get married until season 17. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici married in a TV wedding in 2014. However, the season 13 Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, did tie the knot — to his runner-up. Although he chose Melissa Rycroft, he ended their relationship during the After the Final Rose special and in turn, proposed to Molly Malaney. The two tied the knot in 2010.

The Bachelorette has been a bit more successful. The first-ever lead, Trista Rehn, found her prince charming. She married Ryan Sutter in 2003. Since then, three more Bachelorette winning couples went on to say “I do.”

With Bachelor Nation, it’s not always the person you get engaged to at the end of the season that you end up marrying. Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon first met in 2015 on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. She had competed on Chris Soules‘ season of The Bachelor while Jared appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s season of The Bachelorette.

Once they met, she was immediately drawn to him — but he was not feeling it. From 2015 to 2018, they stayed friends and had a flirty relationship, but she admitted to always wanting more. That changed in March 2018 when they revealed that they were dating. Three months later, he proposed on the beach in Mexico where they met and in August 2019, they got married in front of their friends and family and Bachelor Nation stars Ben Higgins, Nick Viall, Dean Unglert, Becca Tilley, Amanda Stanton, Kaitlyn and Jason Tartick.

RHOC’s Noella and James Bergener’s Divorce and Custody Battle: What to Know

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 12:21 PM PST

He said, she said. The Real Housewives of Orange County star Noella Bergener's divorce from James Bergener quickly turned messy as the former couple hashed out the custody of their son, financial arrangements and more.

Noella and James dated for five years before tying the knot in June 2020. They relocated to Puerto Rico in late 2020, but she returned to California in May 2021 to appear on RHOC. After making guest appearances on the Bravo show during season 15, she became a main cast member for season 16, which premiered in December 2021.

Us Weekly confirmed in August 2021 that Noella filed for legal separation from James in Orange County after one year of marriage, listing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. She requested primary and physical custody of their son, James, and monthly spousal support.

However, James' attorney told Us that he filed for divorce in Puerto Rico in July 2021, and the proceedings were finalized in December 2021.

Amid the legal battle, Noella accused James of abandoning their son, who has autism. "5 months ago my husband and partner of 6 years left the house with his toothbrush leaving behind his life, family and home," she claimed via Instagram in December 2021. "He ended our marriage with service of divorce papers from Puerto Rico. … To this date James has not visited our son or given me any explanation for his departure."

She continued: "I realize there are three sides to every story. I have asked him to give an explanation through a 3rd party to provide insight which he has repeatedly declined. Everything I've said and am saying are FACTS. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for my family. I don't wish to encourage James bashing with this post. Just providing insight to the hell I am still in."

James, for his part, told Us in a statement at the time that he looked "forward to addressing all these false accusations in a courtroom."

Prior to filing for legal separation, Noella reacted to allegations that James owed the IRS and the State of California approximately $5.8 million. "I was just as shocked and disgusted to find out a week before filming … and not from husband," she commented on a Real Housewives Instagram fan account in July 2021. "My marriage has been a fight every day since. I am being very open about my journey and looking at every option to settle my husband's debts."

Scroll through the gallery below for everything we know about Noella and James' divorce and custody battle:

When and How Did They Split?
According to a December 2021 statement from James’ attorney, Noella left Puerto Rico in May 2021 to begin filming RHOC in California, while James remained in Puerto Rico. Noella’s legal team allegedly informed James’ lawyers in July 2021 that she planned to file for separation, so James filed for divorce in Puerto Rico one day later. Did James Abandon Their Son?
Noella claimed via Instagram in December 2021 that James had not visited their son since he “left the house” five months earlier. James’ lawyer told Us in a statement later that month that he had “repeatedly asked to see his son” since August 2021 and felt like Noella was “withholding their son” from him.  “James has not and will never abandon his son,” the statement continued. “He loves his son dearly. Any insinuation to the contrary is a lie.”  Courtesy of Noella Bergener/Instagram
Are They Already Divorced?
The reality star alleged via Instagram in December 2021 that James “ended our marriage with service of divorce papers from Puerto Rico which he doesn’t qualify for since we are California citizens and nothing untoward happened in our marriage there.” James, meanwhile, told Us at the time that “a judge in Puerto Rico, where I am a resident, has already granted our divorce.”  His attorney told Us in December 2021 that a Puerto Rico judge ruled that the territory was the appropriate jurisdiction for the divorce. Both Noella and James allegedly appeared in court to state their cases. “Custody and financial issues will be addressed separately if a settlement is not reached,” the statement added, noting that they have been in mediation since September 2021.   Courtesy of Noella Bergener/Instagram
How Does James Feel About 'RHOC'?
James informed Noella in July 2021 that he did not want their son to be on the Bravo show, his lawyer claimed to Us in December 2021. “James does not want their son exploited for fame and ratings,” the statement said.   Earlier that month, the TV personality told her Instagram followers that she chose to stay on RHOC amid her marital woes because “it was the only thing getting me out of bed” and she hoped that “others going through something similar” could relate. Courtesy of Noella Bergener/Instagram
Where Do They Live?
According to James’ attorney, the pair moved to Puerto Rico in late 2020 and were granted permanent residence in January 2021. They allegedly signed documents stating that they intended to permanently live in Puerto Rico, and the only house they own is in the U.S. territory. She relocated to California in May 2021 to film RHOC, while he still lives in Puerto Rico.  Courtesy of Noella Bergener/Instagram
Did James Cut Noella Off Financially?
Noella claimed via Instagram in December 2021 that her “cards are still shut off, [James] hasn’t paid a dime in support [and] he stopped paying for our home.” James’ attorney told Us in a December 2021 statement that he “has paid substantial sums in childcare, housing, therapy, health insurance, food, other expenses for his son and amounts that supplement Noella’s lifestyle.” Courtesy of Noella Bergener/Instagram

Actress Ahna O’Reilly Reveals She Secretly Tied the Knot in 2020

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 10:53 AM PST

Their best-kept secrets! From Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner‘s Las Vegas vows to Niecy Nash‘s hush-hush ceremony, some celebs have hidden their wedding days from the public eye.

The Jonas Brothers singer and the Game of Thrones alum tied the knot two times in 2019: first during a private ceremony in Las Vegas and again in France in front of friends and family. Clips from their Vegas nuptials were shared online by Diplo and took everyone by surprise — even Jonas’ parents.

“Well, in my mind, you know, that was the legal portion of the marriage,” the DNCE singer said during a radio interview in June 2019. “So I was thinking, like, ‘Look, this is not the most important day. There’s an important day, I mean, I’ll keep private, but ahead of us. So we were, like — this is, like, just whoever’s in town.”

The former Disney star later revealed that his mom and dad, Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas, learned about their son’s legal ceremony secondhand.

“[My parents] have an amazing restaurant in North Carolina and I think, like, a couple of their staff walked up and were, like, ‘Congratulations! I saw.’ And then they had to find out,” he said, teasing that he was “doing a lot of apologizing” in the aftermath.

The Jonas family aren’t the only ones who’ve been late to the party. Some celebs have made their big announcements solely via social media, leaving fans and followers shocked by the reveal.

“Mrs. Carol Denise Betts,” Nash wrote via Instagram in August 2020 alongside a photo from her wedding to singer Jessica Bettes. In a separate post on her Instagram Story, the Claws star joked, “#PlotTwist.”

Niecy was previously married to Don Nash from 1994 to 2007 and to Jay Tucker from 2011 to 2019. In February 2020, the When They See Us star tearfully discussed the end of her second marriage, admitting that she and Tucker were “better friends than life partners.”

“The one that made me laugh the most was an ode to him being attractive. [They said] ‘Well, you never had to put a sack on his head to sleep with him,'” she said of her family’s reaction to her divorce. “I replied, ‘What about my happiness?'”

“Ringing in the new year knowing that the key to being successful in life is having a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone. 😉,” the 40-year-old Selling Sunset star wrote via Instagram on Thursday, December 30. “I hope you all have an amazing 2022! Manifest everything you want for yourself by BELIEVING it. When life closes a door, open it again. It’s a door … That’s how they work😅 We’ve got this! Hope you have an amazing New Year!”

Stause gave a shout-out to “Queen Reba McEntire for the quote inspo,” sharing a photo of herself standing by the celebratory bell in the Oppenheim Group office.

The Dancing With the Stars season 29 alum and the real estate broker, 44, went public with their romance in July while on vacation with fellow Selling Sunset cast members in Europe.

“Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship,” Oppenheim gushed in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “I care about her deeply and we’re very happy together.”

Four months later, the California native described the “transition” he and Stause experienced from friendship to something more.

“We had been so open about what we were looking for with each other because we had become close friends,” he told Us exclusively in November, confessing that he was in love with the former soap opera actress. “She knew my dating life, and we would almost joke about our each other’s dating lives and what we were looking for and things like that.”

The pair’s already established friendship gave their romantic relationship a strong foundation, but eventually, they realized they had different visions for their futures. Us confirmed on December 21 that the costars called it quits.

“It’s definitely a surprise to some of their close friends,” a source exclusively revealed of the duo’s split. “They aren’t going around telling everyone about their breakup. … Those who have hung around them actually thought they were headed for marriage, not a split.”

Stause and Oppenheim “had great chemistry” and “cared [for] and loved each other,” the insider added.

Shortly after the breakup news made headlines, Oppenheim explained that he and the Under Construction author weren’t on the same page about starting a family. However, he noted in his Instagram statement that the twosome still had the “utmost respect” for one another, adding, “Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”

Stause reiterated her ex’s kind words in a social media post of her own. “Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward,” she wrote on December 21. “Men have the luxury of time that women don't and that's just the way it goes. All of that being said, navigating this public terrain is difficult and I am just trying my best.”

The Days of Our Lives alum concluded: “I very much hope to one day have a family and decisions I make at this point are with that goal in mind. Thank you for the kindness and support to those that understand. And thank you Jason for the most incredible relationship and for consistently being honest with me even when it hurts.”

Despite the end of their romance, the duo have remained on great terms. “If everybody in the entire world could follow how they handle a breakup, I think the world would be a better place,” costar Emma Hernan exclusively told Us earlier this month. “They handled it very well. … They have a really great friendship.”

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson’s Relationship Timeline

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 10:36 AM PST

It's "Us Against the World!" Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have kept their romance relatively private — but their story is as sweet as any love song.

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in December 2017 that the Coldplay singer had moved on with the Fifty Shades of Grey star less than two years after his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow was finalized in July 2016. The exes — who share daughter Apple and son Moses — announced their "conscious uncoupling" in March 2014 after a decade of marriage.

The unlikely couple had been spotted out together on multiple occasions in late 2017 before a source told Us that they were "definitely dating" and getting serious. "They've gotten to know each other really well and are very comfortable with one another," the insider added at the time. "Chris sends Dakota his music to get her opinion. It's more than just a fling."

A separate source at the time noted that Martin was drawn to Johnson's free spirit. "Chris is very young at heart so it makes sense for him to be with someone younger," the insider said. "He likes creative types so it makes sense that he dates actresses. That's just one of the ways Dakota is very much his type."

Much of their relationship was kept under wraps, but the "Fix You" singer and the Texas native hit a rough patch in the summer of 2019. At the time, rumors surfaced that Martin had packed on the PDA with Dua Lipa at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K., sparking speculation that he and Johnson had split. (A rep for Martin later denied the kiss had ever happened.)

Shortly after reports of their breakup made waves, the British musician supported Johnson at a handful of press events in August 2019. All signs pointed to a rekindled romance — and Paltrow played a big part in their reunion. "Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it," a source exclusively revealed at the time. "Gwyneth is happy if Chris is happy. She only wants the best for him."

The Politician actress, for her part, tied the knot with Brad Falchuk in September 2018. While the two couples have a friendly rapport, Paltrow previously admitted that coparenting with her ex-husband hasn't always been simple.

For more celebrity relationship news, listen to Us Weekly spill the details of Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum romance rumors!

"Chris and I committed to putting them first and that's harder than it looks because some days you really don't want to be with the person that you are getting divorced from," the Shakespeare in Love star said on The Drew Barrymore Show in September 2020. "But if you're committed to having family dinner then you do it. You take a deep breath, and you look the person in the eye, and you remember your pact, and you smile, and you hug and you recommit to this new relationship that you are trying to foster."

"We've been together for quite a while," the Fifty Shades of Grey star, 32, explained in an Elle UK interview published on Thursday, December 30. "And we go out sometimes but we both work so much that it's nice to be at home and be cozy and private. Most of the partying takes place inside my house."

Us Weekly broke the news in December 2017 that the Coldplay frontman, 44, and Johnson are dating. Us later confirmed in August 2019 that the couple reconciled following a brief split. They subsequently sparked engagement rumors in December 2020 when she was spotted wearing a large emerald ring on her left ring finger during an outing in West Hollywood.

A source told Us in January that the actress and Martin purchased a home in Malibu and were "moving in together, making it their primary residence." Meanwhile, a second insider revealed that the duo were "really thrilled and happy with their purchase." While he sold the house earlier this month, he bought another residence in the area.

In a rare public display of affection, the singer dedicated a performance of "My Universe" to Johnson in October during a Coldplay concert in London. "This is about my universe. And she's here!" he told the crowd at the time.

The following month, the Lost Daughter star divulged how she and Martin were faring amid the coronavirus pandemic. "[Post-COVID safety protocols have] been weird," she told The Hollywood Reporter in November. "If I've been working, I can't really be around my parents because they're older. But my friends and my partner, we've been together a lot, and it's great."

Through Thick and Thin! Justin and Jessica’s Sweetest Relationship Moments

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 10:04 AM PST

Love shines through. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's romance has endured plenty of ups and downs over the years.

The couple, who went public with their relationship in January 2007, briefly split in February 2011. They reconnected in July of that year and got engaged less than a year later, in January 2012.

The Minnesota native and Tennessee kid tied the knot nine months after announcing their engagement in a southern Italy ceremony in October 2012.

“It’s nice to marry your best friend. It suits me,” Timberlake told Ellen DeGeneres in April 2013. "Every once in a while I can catch a glimpse of her when she doesn’t see me looking, and I have this moment where I’m like, ‘If you never make a good decision … if you only make bad decisions for the rest of your life. You made one really good decision.'”

Us Weekly broke the news in November 2014 that the 7th Heaven alum and former 'NSync singer were expecting their first child together. In April 2015, the duo welcomed their son, Silas.

Throughout their relationship, the pair have gushed about one another and their bond.

"I've watched my wife change," the "Filthy" singer wrote in his 2018 book Hindsight & All the Things I Can't See in Front of Me. "I've watched her body change. It's a temple. It should be worshiped. It should be marveled at. I'm fascinated by her. She's everything, man. She just constantly surprises me with who she is, and who she's becoming, and I really hope I do the same for her. I'm excited to see what she's going to do next. I wake up and roll over and look at her, and I'm inspired."

Biel showed her continued support of Timberlake and his career in a touching tribute following the release of his Man of the Woods album and 2018 tour.

"I just am in absolute awe of you every night to see you up there in your glory, doing what you've been put on this Earth to do," she said in an Instagram video in April 2019 as he wrapped up his tour. "You inspire me, you inspire Silas. You inspire everyone around you — all of your fans, all of your friends and family — to work as hard and as with so much passion as you do. You are truly a sight to behold. I'm so happy that you're going to get some time off. I'm so happy for you and for us."

The couple's relationship was tested in November 2019, when photos surfaced of Timberlake and his Palmer costar Alisha Wainwright holding hands in New Orleans. The former boybander made a statement the following month, apologizing for his "strong lapse in judgement" and claimed that "nothing happened between me and my costar."

Since the scandal, the pair have remained focused on their family and mending their relationship with a source telling Us in December 2019 that Timberlake was "really making a big effort" ahead of the holidays.

"He's bending over backwards to get Jessica to forgive him and to make sure he's there for her and Silas," a second source told Us exclusively in February 2020.

Timberlake and Biel secretly welcomed their second child, son Phineas, in 2020.

A month after PDA-filled photos surfaced of Timberlake and his Palmer costar, the musician issued a public apology to his wife and his fans. “A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar,” Timberlake wrote in a statement posted on Instagram in December 2019. “I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son.”  The Grammy winner added: “I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. Vanessa Hudgens Gushes Over BF Cole Tucker on 1-Year Anniversary

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 10:01 AM PST

Making memories! Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have enjoyed documenting their growing romance through cute photos on social media.

The pair first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted holding hands in November 2020, less than one year after her split from longtime love Austin Butler. At the time, Hudgens got honest about what she was looking for when it came to a partner.

"Your girl's open. I feel like at the end of the day, it's just about having similar fundamentals and wanting the same things," the Powerless alum told Entertainment Tonight. "I am not picky, really."

Hudgens added: "I know what I want and I'm like, if someone comes into the picture and can give me all those things, then great. It doesn't matter if they're in the public eye or not. If anything, I prefer them not to be, but we'll see."

The couple went Instagram official in honor of Valentine’s Day the following year. The same month, Tucker discussed his commitment to the High School Musical star during an MLB spring training interview.

"I got a girlfriend and she's cool. She's awesome, I love her," he told reporters in February 2021. "But I don't want it to be, 'Oh, Cole's dating Vanessa … ' I don't want it to be treated any differently than Mitch [Keller] having his wife down, or Ke'Bryan [Hayes] having his girlfriend come down. She's great. She'll be around. You will see her, but you saw the headline, it is what it is."

As their relationship continued to get more serious, Hudgens revealed how the duo first formed a connection.

“Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes,” the Princess Switch star told Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. “Zoom, you’ve got to love it.”

Hudgens believed her romance with the shortstop was something special, adding, “He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”

One month later, Hudgens elaborated on how she made the first move when she originally met the pro athlete.

"If I want something or someone, I'm going after them," she said during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move."

Hudgens previously dated Zac Efron from 2006 to 2010. The Gigi performer later moved on with Butler in 2011, and nine years later, Us Weekly confirmed the duo had called it quits.

I get to come to your game.' And I'm like, 'Yes! Same thing.' It's great, he's amazing." She added that her relationship with Tucker feels different than her past romances. "It's just easy. We're like the same person, very much the same person, but with different interests," Hudgens said. "We have the same spirit, I think. We're both just energetic. A source told Us that Hudgens and Tucker “are very in love” and “have gotten to the point of their relationship where they have gotten serious and are committed to each other.” While she was “committed to her career and not in that headspace right now where she's focusing on marriage,” the source noted that it was possible he would “get down on one knee and propose” because he is “quite the romantic.” In the meantime, the couple viewed moving in together as their “next step.”   Amid their busy schedules, they still found time for one another. “They are super understanding of each other's careers and give each other space to be free and thrive,” the insider added. “They both have accepted the fact that their lives, including their relationship, are in the spotlight despite both of them being private. They really make an effort to see each other as much as they can but also miss each other when they are apart — it makes their reunions that much more special and meaningful.” Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock

"They are very in love. They have gotten to the point of their relationship where they have gotten serious and are committed to each other," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "However, Vanessa is also committed to her career and not in that headspace right now where she’s focusing on marriage."

Despite Hudgens' hesitance, Tucker, 25, is "quite the romantic," so there is always the possibility that he will "get down on one knee and propose," according to the insider. In the meantime, the couple "have not moved in together yet," but that is "the next step."

As they weigh their options for the future, the Princess Switch star, 33, and the professional baseball player have not let their busy schedules get in the way of their romance.

Why Elton John Nearly Didn't Perform at Princess Diana’s Funeral

A change of plans? While Elton John notably reworked his song "Candle in the Wind" at Princess Diana's funeral, the British royals weren't initially on board with his special tribute performance.

The Dean of Westminster, the late Very Reverend Dr. Wesley Carr, sent a personal plea to Buckingham Palace in 1997, urging them to reconsider the 74-year-old "Rocketman" crooner's musical number, according to newly released government letters to a senior member of the royal household.

“This is a crucial point in the service and we would urge boldness. It is where the unexpected happens and something of the modern world that the princess represented,” Carr — who died in July 2017 — wrote in the documents, per a Sky News report on Thursday, December 30. "I respectfully suggest that anything classical or choral (even a popular classic such as something by [Andrew] Lloyd Webber) is inappropriate. Better would be the enclosed song by Elton John (known to millions and his music was enjoyed by the princess), which would be powerful."

Carr added at the time: "He has written new words to the tune which is being widely played and sung throughout the nation in memorial to Diana. It is all the time on the radio. Its use here would be imaginative and generous to the millions who are feeling personally bereaved: it is popular culture at its best. If it were thought the words too sentimental (although that is by no means a bad thing given the national mood), they need not be printed — only sung."

While Carr was also prepared to discuss "the significance of this suggestion" via the phone, he did not receive a reply from the royals or the prime minister's Downing Street office — whom he copied in his note — via the archival papers.

Upon the People's Princess' tragic death in August 1997, the "Tiny Dancer" singer — who was a close friend of the late royal — performed at her funeral proceedings that September, rewriting the song as "Goodbye England's Rose."

"Me playing at the funeral was one of the most surreal things I have ever done," John recalled to VH1 in 2008. "What was going through my mind was: 'Don't sing a wrong note. Be stoic. Don't break down and just do it to the best you can possibly do it without showing any emotion whatsoever.' My heart was beating quite a lot, I have to say."

After his emotional tribute, John promised to never perform his tweaked rendition again unless Diana's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, specifically asked, telling Billboard in November 2019 that it was rewritten as "a memento of grief and love for her."

At the time, the Grammy winner noted that he gave up his writing credits on the track, instead donating all profits to Diana's foundation.

The musician proposed in October at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel following a whirlwind romance. The reality star later posted a glimpse at the special moment, with the couple being surrounded by red roses as they celebrated right by the ocean.

Kardashian and Barker’s engagement came less than one year since they first went public with their relationship. Us Weekly confirmed that the longtime friends were dating in January.

"They have been close friends for years and have been dating for a couple months,” a source revealed at the time. “Travis is very smitten with Kourtney and has been for a while."

Shortly after the Poosh founder announced the major next step in their relationship, a second insider shared that the pair were both “on cloud nine” and were looking forward to adding to their family.

"They will have a baby together without any doubt. It's just a matter of when and how," the source detailed to Us. "Ideally, Kourtney would like a natural birth. She's confident it won't be a problem because she's always been lucky to conceive naturally and has taken great care of herself physically.”

Kardashian already shares Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. Barker, for his part, shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

The drummer recently made headlines after he shared a photo of him watching a movie with a baby bottle in the corner of the picture. After Barker posted the snap on Sunday, December 26, his followers questioned why the bottle appeared to have milk in it and if that meant that someone had given birth.

Since Barker and Kardashian haven’t shared any pregnancy news, some fans wondered whether Kylie Jenner had welcomed her second child with Travis Scott. The beauty mogul, 24, announced that she is expecting again in September after previously welcoming daughter Stormi in 2018.

Everything Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson Have Said About Their Feud

Posted: 30 Dec 2021 08:34 AM PST

You don’t turn your back on family — unless you’re Vin Diesel or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who have been nursing grudges against each other off and on since at least 2016.

The two action stars made their first onscreen appearance together in 2011’s Fast Five, in which the former wrestler joined the already long-running franchise as Luke Hobbs, an agent pursuing the Fast and Furious crew for their various crimes against … every law enforcement agency in the world.

Everything seemed copacetic over the years as Johnson returned for the sixth and seventh entries in the saga, but in August 2016, the Jumanji star set the fandom ablaze with a since-deleted Instagram post in which he referred to unnamed members of the cast as “candy asses.”

Rumors immediately swirled that he was insulting Diesel, who had been part of the Fast franchise since the first movie premiered in 2001. A few days later, after filming for The Fate of the Furious wrapped, Johnson posted another Instagram thanking some of his castmates by name — Scott Eastwood and Nathalie Emmanuel, for example — but pointedly did not mention Diesel.

Though the Rampage star never identified the target of his ire, his costar seemingly confirmed that it was him in his own Instagram video. “Honestly, give me a second and I will tell you everything,” he said. “Everything.”

Later, the duo’s costar Michelle Rodriguez confirmed that there was tension between the men on set, though chalked it up as the kind of disagreement any close friends could have.

"Any human being who knows what men are like knows to stay out [of those] situations and let them figure it out," she said in September 2016. "They're 'bros', man. They're friends, and ultimately even friends reach a point where they have to set aside their differences to make a movie for multicultural people around the world, and that is the bigger scheme of things."

Fellow Fast Saga actor Tyrese Gibson was somewhat less diplomatic, however, when F9 was delayed for the first time in October 2017. (It was later delayed again because of the coronavirus pandemic.)

“Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU,” he wrote via Instagram, seemingly blaming Johnson for the movie’s production delays.

At that point, Diesel defended the San Andreas actor from Gibson’s accusations, saying that it wasn’t any one person’s fault and the franchise was “in need of maintenance.” Johnson, meanwhile, left the main Fast Saga and starred in his own spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw.

Keep scrolling to see everything Hobbs and Toretto have said about their feud over the years:

The Post That Started It All
"Some [male costars] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't," Johnson wrote via Instagram in August 2016, kicking off the public feud between the two stars. "The ones that don't are too chicken s—t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you're right." In a follow-up post, the Baywatch star said that conflict could be beneficial, but again didn't name names. “Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs,” he wrote. “To me, conflict can be a good thing, when it’s followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it.” Larry Marano/Shutterstock
Vin Responds
After filming for The Fate of the Furious wrapped in August 2016, Diesel posted a video about how happy he was to be home with his family after making two movies back-to-back. He also included a seeming nod to his drama with Johnson, saying, "Honestly, give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything." Jim Smeal/Shutterstock
Free Publicity
In a November 2016 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Johnson implied that the feud was at least partly free publicity for The Fate of the Furious. “I’ve been in the game a long time,” he said of the conflict. “Would Universal have preferred that didn’t happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level.” Shutterstock
Close Friends
Ahead of the Fate release, Diesel told USA Today that the costars were actually friends and the whole situation had been overblown by fans and critics. "I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way," he explained. "I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don't think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne." He also described himself as the punching bag for the franchise and claimed he was taking hits for the good of all the cast and crew. "I protect the franchise," he added. "I protect everybody including Dwayne. I protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it. Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that’s me." Moviestore/Shutterstock
Family First
Both stars attended the Fate of the Furious premiere in April 2017. “We still love each other, that's my boy," Diesel told Entertainment Tonight. "When I was making that difficult decision, should there be an 8 or not, I called [Johnson] and he said, ‘Brother, I will be there shoulder to shoulder with you to make sure it's the best movie in history.’ And he delivered." Johnson, for his part, said their feud was the result of "differing philosophies." Felipe Dana/AP/Shutterstock
Brotherhood
After Gibson accused Johnson of being the reason production on F9 was delayed, Diesel defended his costar via Instagram. "Brotherhood ... and all its complexities," he wrote in October 2017, alongside a photo of himself with Johnson in character. "I know there has been a lot of speculation as to why the Fast 9 release date was pushed ... but it would be unfair to say it is anyone's fault. As we plot the course to expand the Fast & Furious universe, one must be mindful to take stock of the roads we took to get here. The pillars of authenticity, family and most importantly, our loyal fans' perspective has been instrumental in procuring success. However, like any vehicle that has run around the globe 8 times, the franchise is in need of maintenance." Marion Curtis/Starpix/Shutterstock
Together, But Apart
As viewers of Fate of the Furious quickly noticed, the two actors did not appear together in any scenes. Asked about this fact for a 2018 Rolling Stone interview, Johnson replied, "That is correct. We were not in any scenes together." David Fisher/Shutterstock
A Heartfelt Thank You
Johnson seemingly let go of any remaining grudges after the success of Hobbs & Shaw. In an Instagram video shared in September 2019, he specifically thanked Diesel for his support of the spinoff. "Lastly, but not least, want to thank brother Vin for your support of Hobbs & Shaw," he said. "I'll be seeing you soon, Toretto." David Fisher/Shutterstock
Tough Love
The Bloodshot star reignited conversation about the feud in June 2021, telling Men's Health that creating the Hobbs character required "tough love" on his part. "My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be,” he explained. “As a producer to say, ‘OK, we’re going to take Dwayne Johnson, who’s associated with wrestling, and we’re going to force this cinematic world, audience members, to regard his character as someone that they don’t know’ — Hobbs hits you like a ton of bricks.” He added that any of his potential critiques were in service of his role as a producer on the franchise. "That took a lot of work," he told the magazine. "We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love. Not Fellini-esque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Moving On
Johnson revealed in July 2021 that he would not be returning to the franchise after he did not appear in 2021’s F9. “I’ve wished them well,” he told The Hollywood Reporter at the time. “I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.” The Moana star also commented on Diesel’s “tough love” remarks, telling the outlet, “I laughed and I laughed hard.” People Picture/Gerome Kochan/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Some Regrets
In October 2021, Johnson told Vanity Fair that it wasn't his "best day" when he shared the original Instagram post that started it all. "I shouldn’t have shared that," he added. "Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA. I don’t share things like that. And I take care of that kind of bulls—t away from the public. They don’t need to know that. That’s why I say it wasn’t my best day.” Though he regretted the initial post, the Jungle Cruise star said he wouldn't take back his message if given the chance. "I mean what I say when I say it," he shared. "But to express it publicly was not the right thing to do.” He also claimed that unnamed members of the Fate of the Furious crew "quietly thanked" him for speaking out about Diesel's behavior. Jokes Are Fair Game
“The jokes never end,” Johnson said during a November 2021 appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show when asked about the jab at Diesel in his film Red Notice. “People were asking me about that, and they find a way. These Vin Diesel jokes — which play great, by the way, to the audience, which is always a good thing because it’s all about them — people think these jokes come from me and they actually don’t.”   The former wrestler added: “You’d be surprised with how many people come to me with, ‘I’ve got a great one. I’ve got another great Vin Diesel joke.’ I’m sure you do. [They’re] always funny.” Netflix; Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Feeling Manipulated
After Diesel made a public plea in November 2021 for Johnson to reprise his role despite their differences, the Moana actor shut it down as a form of "manipulation." "I didn't like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker's death. Leave them out of it," Johnson told CNN one month later. "We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding. My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible Fast & Furious franchise with gratitude and grace." Johnson pointed out that he felt "surprised" by Diesel's approach since he has previously made his decision not to return to the franchise very clear. "This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly — and privately — that I would not be returning to the franchise," he noted. "I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return." Her boyfriend, Jason Barker, has since been arrested and charged on suspicion of murder after officers claimed he killed the business manager inside their shared Sherman Oaks, California, residence and drove her body to Simi Valley. Before her death, Kukawski worked for several stars in addition to Kim Kardashian's family, including the likes of the 41-year-old reality star’s estranged husband, Kanye West, Offset and Nicki Minaj.

"Hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you could ever know," the "Starships" songstress, 39, wrote via Instagram Story on Wednesday. "You don't deserve this, Angela. My heart is breaking for your children. Rest In Peace 🙏."

Offset, for his part, also shared a statement via Instagram Story, writing, "R.I.P. Angie. Such a sweetheart. You helped me so much, talked to you every week. I'm in disbelief [sic] SMH prayer to your soul."

Nicole Kidman Shoots Down Question About Ex-Husband Tom Cruise

Not so fast. While discussing the real-life relationship of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Nicole Kidman shut down the notion that she was comparing the I Love Lucy pair to her marriage to Tom Cruise.

During a recent interview with The Guardian about Being the Ricardos, the 54-year-old actress opened up about portraying one-half of the sitcom couple alongside Javier Bardem in the new Aaron Sorkin film.

“It’s about a creative and romantic relationship that doesn’t work out. But from it come some extraordinary things. And I love that. I love that it’s not a happy ending," Kidman said, referring to Ball filing for divorce from Arnaz in 1960 after 20 years of marriage. “This film says you can make an extraordinary relationship thrive and leave remnants of it that exist forever. Yeah, that’s really gorgeous. You can’t make people behave how you want them to, and sometimes you’re going to fall in love with someone who isn’t going to be the person you spend the rest of your life with."

Kidman called Ball's relationship with Arnaz "very relatable," adding, "You may have kids with them. You may not, but they were very much in love.”

The interviewer then asked Kidman "with exquisite care” whether she was referencing her past relationship with Cruise, 59.

“Oh, my God, no, no. Absolutely not," she replied. "No. I mean, that’s, honestly, so long ago that that isn’t in this equation. So, no.”

The Big Little Lies alum was married to the Mission Impossible star from 1990 to 2001. They share daughter Isabella, 29, and son Connor, 26. According to the outlet, Kidman was "angry" by the question.

“And I would ask not to be pigeonholed that way, either. It feels to me almost sexist, because I’m not sure anyone would say that to a man," she responded. "And at some point, you go, 'Give me my life. In its own right.'”

Following her split from Cruise, Kidman married Keith Urban in 2006 and welcomed daughters Sunday, 13, and Faith, 11. The Oscar winner made a rare public comment about her previous marriage earlier this year during an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

"I was young. I think I offered it up? Maybe I've gotten a bit more trepidatious, but I'm always trying to be as open as possible. I just prefer to live in the world that way," she said about the public's interest in her prior relationship. "I'm wary at times, and I've been hurt, but at the same time I much prefer a warm approach rather than a prickly shutdown approach. My husband, Keith, says that when he met me, he said, 'How's your heart?' And I apparently responded, 'Open.’"

“I'm not going to lie, my anxiety is through the roof right now in anticipation of my story being so public tonight. Speaking out was not something I ever thought I would do but I'm so incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” Berghaus, 28, wrote via a Thursday, December 30, Instagram post, noting that she’ll tell her side of the story during tonight's Married at First Sight Special. "I've spent the last six months of therapy, reflecting over my @mafslifetime experience and I've learned more than I could ever imagine. I never thought I would speak publicly about my divorce but I've realized that, while I don't owe anyone any explanations, I also don't owe anyone my silence. I have spent so much time not speaking up for myself because I'm so wildly conflict adverse, but the only way to heal and grow is to start doing things that make me uncomfortable. And, in all honesty I feel like not sharing would be doing a disservice to anyone going through something similar."

She added that she "went through hell and back the last 18 months and at this point I have to say, I'm so so proud of myself and how far I've come."

Berghaus continued: "And as nerve-wracking as this experience is, I know that telling my story will be integral to my healing process and let me tell you, I'm so ready to put all of this behind me. Tonight marks the final end to this chapter of my life and has already provided me with so much closure. Thank you to everyone who was there to pick up the pieces-you know who you are and I love you all so dearly. I so so love getting to share my life with you all, and while I'm nervous as hell, I can't wait for everyone to know my truth."

The Atlanta resident's message came one day after the project manager, 30, broke his silence on their breakup.

"I've had several months to reflect on a very challenging moment in my life," Oubre wrote via a lengthy Instagram statement on Wednesday, December 29. "Being a part of the show has taught me more about myself than I could have ever imagined. I've weighed the options of addressing the circumstances or choosing to continue to remain silent."

Oubre added in his post: "What I can no longer sit idly by for is untruly statements to be continuously made about my family and friends. With that being said: getting married to a stranger is indescribable — words won't every describe it well. On one hand you full trust the process and those involved and in the other, you think through what if this doesn't work out. I've always lived my life knowing you can always go back to where you were if it doesn't work out."

In his nine-slide Instagram statement, Oubre made claims about someone's openness to marry another race and trying to understand their culture, alleging, "Walking into a family gathering and not speaking to anyone and scrolling through your phone will never fly and declining food (outside of a food allergy or avoidance) because you don't like the way it looks won't help either."

The exes, who were first matched on season 12 of MAFS, initially chose to stay together by the end of the season — which aired in May — and even planned to renew their wedding vows on New Year's Eve. However, by July, the duo announced their split.

"After taking some time away from cameras, we have reached that point in our marriage where we know it's better to go our separate ways," Oubre wrote via Instagram Story at the time. "It's not an easy decision to make it, nor we do we take these next steps lightly. Grateful to all who stood by us and continue to stand by us as we make this very difficult decision. It goes without saying, we remain friends and hope for nothing but the best for each other."

Several months later, Berghaus confirmed that she had filed to restore her maiden name and signed divorce papers via TikTok videos. In her September 8 social media video, the Lifetime personality captioned her post "27 days til papers signed," while lip-synching to a "Celebrate the Good Times" song. She counted down the days before the video showed a "1 hour til papers signed" caption as she walked to her car, pen in hand.

New complications. The future of And Just Like That is on the line in the aftermath of the sexual assault allegations against Chris Noth, an insider exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

“There was talk about doing another season, but after the past few days all those conversations have stopped,” the source explains. “Everyone is raw.”

The highly anticipated Sex and the City revival series premiered on HBO Max on December 9, but one week later, the show’s debut was overshadowed by the accusations against Noth, 67.

Two women — using the pseudonyms Zoe and Lily — initially accused the Law & Order alum of sexual assault in a story published on December 16. Zoe alleged that the actor sexually assaulted her in 2004 after she met him while working at a firm that handled high-profile Hollywood clients. Lily, for her part, claimed that Noth assaulted her in 2015 after a night of drinking.

After the story’s publication, the Wisconsin native denied the women’s claims, telling Us in a statement: "The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."

In the following days, additional women came forward with allegations about Noth. Zoe Lister-Jones, who worked with the Good Wife veteran on Law & Order, also accused her former costar of behaving inappropriately on set.

After a third woman spoke out against Noth, a representative for the actor called the story a "complete fabrication," adding, "As Chris stated yesterday, he has and would never cross that line."

Days after the original claims surfaced, Noth’s And Just Like That costars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis issued a joint statement about the allegations. "We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth," the three actresses wrote in a message posted via Instagram Stories on December 20. "We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."

Parker, 56, was particularly upset by the claims against the man who played Carrie Bradshaw’s longtime love interest and eventual husband.

"She is fiercely protective of Carrie Bradshaw and livid that she and everyone else at the show has been put into this position," an insider recently told Us. "It is not about the money, but rather her legacy. Carrie was all about helping women and now, under her watch, women are saying that they have been hurt."

The source added that the Emmy winner had “no idea” about the alleged incidents before the women came forward. “She was blindsided,” the insider explained, noting that the Divorce alum is “still processing what has happened.”
