Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Relationship Timeline

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 03:00 PM PST

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may not have started dating until 2012, but the pair have a rich history.

“I met him I think in 2002 or 2003,” Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest during Keeping Up With the Kardashians 10th anniversary special, which aired in 2017. “He was recording a song with Brandy, and I was her friend. I vividly remember hanging out with him, and then they did a video together, so I'd see him a few times. He was asking his friends: ‘Who is this Kim Kardajan?’ He didn't know what my name was.”

While both Kardashian and West dated different people throughout the '00s, they remained friends and even appeared onscreen together for the first time in 2008. The KKW Beauty creator shared throwback pics in 2015 from a pilot they filmed called Alligator Boots.

“In honor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens being released today, I wanted to share these old pics of Kanye and me from years ago!” Kardashian wrote at the time. “We worked together on a pilot for a show called Alligator Boots back in 2008 and I played Princess Leia. We had met before this project (back in 2003), but I would say this is when we first really connected."

Three years later, Kardashian married Kris Humphries in August 2011. After only 72 days of marriage, however, the reality TV personality announced she and the NBA pro were calling it quits.

Kardashian later revealed that her divorce from Humphries helped her discover her feelings for West.

"Right before I got married to Kris Humphries, [Kanye and I] were talking, and I just went a different direction,” she recalled on the aforementioned KUWTK anniversary special. "I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted. After my breakup, I was feeling really low and down and he said, ‘Just come to Paris and see my fashion show.’ He jokes that he put on this whole fashion show just to get a date with me. So I went there and I stayed with him, and that's where we started dating. I swear from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, ‘Oh, my God, why didn't I do this sooner?’ Like, this is what real life is like — love and fun and real support."

After facing a challenging year in their relationship in 2020, Us confirmed in January 2021 that Kardashian is "done" with their marriage and that the longtime pair had "been living separate lives for many months now." A second source revealed that they "had a big fight" in December 2020 that caused the reality star to become "really upset" after the rapper "blew up" at her.

Kardashian secured high-powered attorney Laura Wasser to aid in her divorce settlement before formally filing, a third insider told Us. Wasser "has been on retainer and actively working for Kim since last summer," the source said.

The source added that Kardashian "wants the divorce settlement finalized" before she files against West. One month later, Us confirmed that Kardashian filed for divorce after nearly seven years of marriage.

He has been trying to get back in her good graces again and it seems to be working. The kids are also a huge factor. Josh Duggar Moved to Solitary Confinement Amid Safety Concerns

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 02:57 PM PST

One day after news broke that Josh Duggar was arrested in Arkansas, Us Weekly confirmed that he was indicted on child pornography charges.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Arkansas revealed the nature of the charges in a press release on April 30, 2021.

"A Springdale man was arrested yesterday for receiving and possessing material depicting the sexual abuse of children," the release began. "According to court documents, Joshua James Duggar, 33, allegedly used the internet to download child sexual abuse material. Duggar allegedly possessed this material, some of which depicts the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, in May 2019."

Josh, the eldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, was detained without bond. The news came days after his wife, Anna Duggar, announced that the pair are expecting their seventh child.

"It's a GIRL!!!!!" Anna wrote via Instagram on April 24. "We are overjoyed to announce baby seven is on the way and we can't wait to hold her in our arms this fall!"

The twosome, who wed in 2008, share six kids: Mackynzie (born October 2009), Michael (June 2011), Marcus (June 2013), Meredith (July 2015), Mason (September 2017) and Maryella (November 2019)

Josh is no stranger to controversy. Back in 2015, he made headlines when resurfaced court documents revealed he molested five girls — four of which were related to him — between 2002 and 2003. He was 14 and 15 years old at the time.

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," he said in a statement via Facebook at the time. "We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."

Josh and Anna's marriage hit another rough patch that August after his Ashley Madison account was revealed. He subsequently sought treatment and the couple began counseling.

"Since the residential treatment program ended, we have been working with a professional marriage and family counselor to take important steps toward healing," Josh and Anna wrote in a statement in March 2016. “As the future unfolds, we are taking one day at a time and we are grateful for your continued prayers for both of us and our sweet children."

Anna has yet to publicly comment on her husband's recent arrest. Scroll through for everything we know about the case so far:

This is an ongoing article that was originally published on April 30, 2021, and last updated on December 9, 2021.

The Arrest
Us confirmed on April 29 that Josh was arrested and taken into custody at the Washington County jail in Arkansas. Washington County Police Dept.
The Bond
Josh is currently being held without bond, but he can request to be released during a May 5 hearing. “I will also advise you that any proposed third-party custodian, it would need to be in a residence, where there are no minors in the home,” the judge told Josh and his lawyer on April 30. “So, you all would need to be looking for somebody that will ensure compliance with conditions of release and can ensure to the court that there are no minors in the home, or that would be visiting unsupervised.” Courtesy Josh Duggar/Twitter
The Charges
“Duggar is charged by indictment with receiving and possessing child pornography,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s press release read. If he’s found guilty, the reality TV personality faces up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines for each count. Courtesy Josh Duggar/Twitter
The Family Reaction
“We appreciate your continued prayers for our family at this time,” Jim Bob and Michelle said in a statement to Us via their family rep on April 30. “The accusations brought against Joshua today are very serious. It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light, and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner. We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.” Josh’s sister Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, who aren’t on the best terms with the family, released a statement of their own, reading, "We just found out this information yesterday. It is very sad." Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo later took to Instagram to react: “We are disturbed to hear of the charges against Josh. "While this case must go through the legal system, we want to make it clear that we absolutely condemn any form of child abuse and fully support authorities and judicial process in their pursuit of justice." Courtesy Josh Duggar/Twitter
May Hearing
Josh was granted a release on bond for May 6 following his May 5 virtual hearing. The judge, however, stated that he could not return home because there are “six minor children that live in your house.” His other release conditions include unlimited contact with his kids as long as his wife is present. The reality star cannot be around any other children, however, and will be monitored via GPS whenever he leaves the home confinement at pastor Lacount Reber and Maria Reber's home, where he is staying. He can go to church, work, legal appointments and receive medical care. Courtesy of Anna Duggar/Instagram
Bump in the Road
Josh’s attorney filed a motion on June 17, asking for his trial to be pushed from its July 2021 start to February 2022, claiming it will take that long for their forensic expert to go through the devices that contain evidence pertaining to the case. The lawyer also claimed that Josh’s team did not receive some of the additional discovery files from prosecutors, including reports from outside investigators who are also involved in the case, which they will need time to review before going to court. “Remarkably, the Government also recently disclosed — for the first time and only by way of a screenshot of an unidentified database — that two other Arkansas state law enforcement agencies allegedly participated in this investigation at least in a minimal capacity,” the attorney wrote in the court documents obtained by Us. “The search warrant applications make no reference to these agencies, the Special Agent’s testimony at the detention hearing made no mention of these agencies, and the remainder of the discovery does not reveal which agencies participated and what, if anything, these agencies did.” Patsy Lynch/Shutterstock
The Extension
Documents obtained by Us in June 2021 confirmed that a judge signed off on Josh's request to move the trial date back — but only by four months. Pretrial proceedings were rescheduled to November 18, 2021, with the trial beginning on November 30. Courtesy of Anna Duggar/Instagram
Next Steps
Josh's lawyers filed a motion to dismiss two of the charges against him — including one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography — claiming in August 2021 court docs that prosecutors failed to preserve evidence that could potentially prove his innocence. Another motion requested to dismiss the indictment because two acting secretaries at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security had not been officially appointed at the time of Josh's investigation. Courtesy of Anna Duggar/Instagram
Evidence Ruling
In September 2021, federal prosecutors filed a response to the defendant’s motion one month prior, in which Josh’s legal team asked a judge to suppress “photographs law enforcement took of Duggar’s hands and feet while requiring him to pose for the photographs in custody.” His attorneys are claiming that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security investigators did not have a warrant, so they should not have been allowed to take those pictures. However, the federal prosecutors on the case claimed in their September filing that there is no basis for a judge to dismiss the case against the TV personality or suppress any evidence, including photos of his hands taken during his arrest. "While the defendant was being processed as he was taken into custody, a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (‘HIS’) asked the defendant if he could photograph the defendant’s hands. The defendant expressly consented to having the photographs taken,” the filing states. “At no time during this process did the special agent or any other law enforcement officers involved in the processing of the defendant raise their voice at him, intimidate him, or verbally or physically threaten him. The photographs document a scar on the defendant’s hand, which is plainly visible. Law enforcement observed the same scar in images recovered from the defendant’s electronic devices seized pursuant to a search warrant in this case." A court hearing has been set for October 4, 2021, where both sides can discuss the various motions that Josh and his legal team filed to suppress evidence, including the pictures that investigators took at the time of his arrest. YouTube
Motions Denied
In September 2021, a judge denied four of Josh’s five motions in the child pornography case, including the motion to suppress statements that the TV personality allegedly made to federal agents during the investigation. The defense’s motion to dismiss the case entirely was also denied, as was their attempt to suppress photographs taken of their client’s hands and feet at the time of his arrest. The motion to dismiss the indictment because of who was in charge of the Department of Homeland Security at the time was also rejected. The fifth motion, which is tied to suppressing evidence, hasn’t been ruled on by a judge. ABC 40/29/YouTube
Keeping the Past in the Past?
After the prosecution filed a motion to include evidence from Josh’s previous molestation scandal in the trial in November 2021, his legal team filed paperwork of their own to attempt to prevent his past from being brought up in the case, according to reports. Patsy Lynch/Shutterstock
The Trial Begins
On November 30, Josh reported to court in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the start of his trial after the judge agreed to delay it by four months. His wife, Anna, accompanied him, and they walked into the building hand in hand alongside his legal team. One day earlier, Jim Bob testified on behalf of Josh at an evidentiary hearing about whether the prosecution could mention his past molestation scandal during the trial.  According to E! News, “longtime family friend” Bobye Holt claimed to the judge that Josh told her he “inappropriately touched the vagina of” a girl in March 2003 and had been “touching the breasts and vaginal areas” of three other girls “both over and under their clothes for years.” During his testimony, Holt told the judge that Josh allegedly confessed to him because "he was courting her daughter and that their relationship would have to end as a result of his conduct." Holt also alleged that Josh “told her that he had digitally penetrated” one of the victims years after his initial confession in 2003. Courtesy of Anna Duggar/Instagram

After questioning 52 potential jurors, 12 people (plus four alternates) were selected for Josh’s trial. One of the men questioned (and dismissed) identified himself as the father of one of Josh’s brothers’ wives. Danny Johnston/AP/Shutterstock

One day after his conviction, Us confirmed that Josh was moved to solitary confinement due to safety reasons. He will be kept away from fellow inmates as he awaits his sentencing. MEGA

Alec Baldwin Shares Letter From ‘Rust’ Crew Defending Production

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 02:49 PM PST

While filming his movie Rust on Thursday, October 21, Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun that injured the director and killed another crew member.

The incident occurred at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department, the weapon was “discharged” by the 30 Rock alum, 63, and Deadline later reported that production on the Western was paused.

“Mr. Baldwin came in voluntarily to speak with investigators,” sheriff’s office spokesman Juan Ríos noted in a statement, asserting that the situation would be treated like “any other investigation.”

Detectives were trying to determine “what type of projectile was discharged” as the set remained on lockdown. The victims — director Joel Souza and director of photography Halyna Hutchins — were rushed to receive medical attention after being struck. Hutchins, 42, was pronounced dead at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.

The 48-year-old filmmaker, for his part, was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center via helicopter. While his condition was initially unknown, Deadline was told by Souza’s rep that he was released from the hospital on Friday, October 22.

The movie’s production company, Rust Movie Productions LLC, noted in a statement regarding the accident, “The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today’s tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna’s family and loved ones. We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department’s investigation. We will be providing counseling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event.”

Hutchins was originally from the Ukraine and had been sharing updates about the filming process with her Instagram followers ahead of her death. “One of the perks of shooting a western is you get to ride horses on your day off:),” she captioned a video of herself on Wednesday, October 20, as she joined a group on horseback.

The Emmy winner broke his silence on Hutchins’ death on Friday via Twitter, writing, “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”

Before Baldwin addressed the incident, tributes poured in for the late cinematographer.

“I’m in shock. I was so lucky to have had Halyna Hutchins as my DP on ‘Archenemy,'” Joe Manganiello tweeted. “An incredible talent & great person. I can't believe this could happen in this day and age… gunfire from a prop gun could kill a crew member? What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to her family.”

Ava DuVernay left a comment on casting director Sidra Smith‘s Instagram post about Hutchins, writing, “Devastating. Absolutely horrific. Blessings to you during this difficult time, Sidra. And may her soul be at rest.”

Souza is a California-based writer and director whose previous credits include 2015's Ghost Squad, 2017's Break Night and 2019's Crown Vic. According to Deadline, he was released from the hospital early Friday morning after sustaining injuries on set. Ron Adar/SOPA Images/Shutterstock
Were There Charges?
As of Thursday, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office was in the midst of an "open and active" investigation, but no arrests were made. Baldwin was questioned by investigators — as were other members of the crew — but no charges were filed. Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock
How Did Two People Get Shot?

Why Was the Gun Loaded?
That is the question investigators are still trying to answer. The assistant director called out “cold gun” when handing Baldwin the weapon, the AD wrote in an affidavit, according to the New York Times. “Cold” means no ammunition is in the gun. The crew member “did not know live rounds were in the prop gun,” Detective Joel Cano declared in an affidavit. Jae C Hong/AP/Shutterstock
Why Did Crew Members Walk Off Set Earlier That Day?
The LA Times reports that several crew members walked off set to protest working conditions hours ahead of the fatal accident. They accused the production of not properly following safety protocols, including gun inspections. The workers claimed that there were two accidental gun discharges on set before, with Baldwin’s stunt double allegedly firing a gun that was announced as “cold” only to find a live round in it. “There should have been an investigation into what happened,” a crew member alleged to the LA Times. “There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn’t happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush.” Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
How Are Other Sets Reacting?
Many film and TV sets are taking action and vowing not to risk having “hot” or “live” — meaning loaded — weapons on set. ABC’s police drama The Rookie has officially banned live rounds. “As of today, it is now policy on The Rookie that all gunfire on set will be with Air Soft guns with CG muzzle flashes added in post,” showrunner Alexi Hawley wrote in a memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, October 22. “There will be no more ‘live’ weapons on the show. The safety of our cast and crew is too important.” Amazon Prime’s The Boys, which is known for its violent action sequences, will also forgo live rounds. Showrunner Eric Kripke, who worked with Rust cast member Jensen Ackles on Supernatural and The Boys, announced the news on Friday via Twitter. “In [Hutchins’] memory, a simple, easy pledge: no more guns with blanks on any of my sets ever. We'll use VFX muzzle flashes. Who's with me?” he wrote. Eric McCandless/ABC/Kobal/Shutterstock
Has It Happened Before?
This is not the first time a prop gun has led to fatalities on a film set. In 1993, the late Brandon Lee was killed during filming for The Crow after an improperly loaded prop gun was fired. His sister, Shannon Lee, reacted to the Rust incident on Thursday. "Our hearts go out to the family of Halyna Hutchins and to Joel Souza and all involved in the incident on 'Rust,'" she tweeted via a memorial account set up for her brother. "No one should ever be killed by a gun on a film set. Period." Pressman/Most/Kobal/Shutterstock
Joel Souza Reacts
"I am gutted by the loss of my friend and colleague, Halyna," Souza said in a statement. "She was kind, vibrant, incredibly talented, fought for every inch and always pushed me to be better. My thoughts are with her family at this most difficult time. I am humbled and grateful by the outpouring of affection we have received from our filmmaking community, the people of Santa Fe, and the hundreds of strangers who have reached out. It will surely aid in my recovery." Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock
Were There Consequences?
According to Deadline, assistant director David Halls, who handed Baldwin a prop gun moments before it was discharged, was "removed from set immediately" after the accident. Producers told the outlet that an incident report was filed and a new assistant director was brought in. Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
The 'Last Photo' of Halyna Hutchins
On October 22, a Rust crewmember named Serge Svetnoy shared a photo of Hutchins that he claimed was taken shortly before the fatal shooting. “This is the last photo with Halyna on set,” he wrote via Facebook. The snapshot showed the cinematographer shooting a scene with Baldwin in a small church on the New Mexico set. Two days later, Svetnoy shared an emotional post in which he revealed that he “was holding [Hutchins] in my arms while she was dying. Her blood was on my hands,” he wrote via Facebook on October 24. In that same message, the electrician stated that, in his opinion, Hutchins’ death was “the fault of negligence and unprofessionalism.” Courtesy of Halyna Hutchins/Instagram
Evidence Recovered
Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza confirmed during a press conference on October 27 that a lead bullet was recovered from Souza’s shoulder after he was taken to the hospital. The bullet is believed to be the one that fatally struck Hutchins.  Police also collected approximately 600 items of evidence, including 500 rounds of ammunition from the set, which were a mixture of “blanks, dummy rounds and what we are suspecting were live rounds,” according to Mendoza. More Information on Crew Member Who Handled Firearms
Hannah Gutierrez Reed was the armorer — or person in charge of firearms — on the set of Rust. During a September episode of the “Voices of West” podcast, the former model admitted “the best part” of her job was “just showing people who are normally kind of freaked out by guns how safe they can be and how they’re not really problematic unless put in the wrong hands.” Reed is the daughter of longtime armorer Thell Reed, who was Brad Pitt’s shooting coach on the 2007 film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. However, the 24-year-old had only worked on one movie before landing the role of head armorer on Baldwin's western. The Hollywood rookie noted she had “figured” out most of the job's requirements on “my own” and said that “loading blanks” is the “scariest thing to me.” Jae C Hong/AP/Shutterstock
The Armorer Says She ‘Has No Idea’ Why Live Rounds Were in the Gun
Gutierrez Reed's lawyers, Jason Bowles and Robert Gorence, released a statement to Us on October 29. "First Hannah would like to extend her deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Halyna," the statement read, referring to Hutchins as "an inspirational woman in film who Hannah looked up to." The statement went on to allege that she had been "slandered" in the aftermath of the shooting. "Safety is Hannah’s number one priority on set. Ultimately this set would never have been compromised if live ammo were not introduced," the lawyers claimed on her behalf. "Hannah has no idea where the live rounds came from. Hannah and the prop master gained control over the guns and she never witnessed anyone shoot live rounds with these guns and nor would she permit that. They were locked up every night and at lunch and there’s no way a single one of them was unaccounted for or being shot by crew members. Hannah still, to this day, has never had an accidental discharge." Though there have been reports that there were two accidental discharges in other situations on set, Gutierrez Reed's lawyers allege that others were at fault. "The first one on this set was the prop master and the second was a stunt man after Hannah informed him his gun was hot with blanks," they alleged. Myung J Chun/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock
The Armorer Wanted More Time to Prepare
Gutierrez Reed's lawyers suggested that the blame for the fatal accident lay with other filmmakers. "Hannah was hired on two positions on this film, which made it extremely difficult to focus on her job as an armorer," they said in the October 29 statement. "She fought for training, days to maintain weapons, and proper time to prepare for gunfire but ultimately was overruled by production and her department. The whole production set became unsafe due to various factors, including lack of safety meetings. This was not the fault of Hannah." Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
Baldwin Says Hutchins Was a Friend
While in Vermont on October 30, Baldwin told news outlets that he couldn't say much about the incident, but he is cooperating with authorities and mourning the death of Hutchins. "I’ve been ordered by the sheriff’s department in Santa Fe, I can’t answer any questions about the investigation," Baldwin said. "I can’t — it’s an active investigation in terms of a woman died. She was my friend.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock
Baldwin Is Talking to Hutchins’ Family
The actor, who also produced the film, explained that he met with Hutchins' husband as well as her son to offer support. "The guy is overwhelmed with grief," Baldwin said on October 30. "There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time but nothing like this. This is a one in a trillion event, and so he is in shock [and] has a 9-year-old son. We are in constant contact with him. We’re very worried about his family and his kid, and we’re eagerly awaiting for the sheriff’s department telling us what their investigation has yielded.” Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
Assistant Director Breaks His Silence
Dave Halls, the assistant director on Rust, released a statement in which he praised his “friend” Hutchins. “I’m shocked and saddened by her death,” he said. “It’s my hope that this tragedy prompts the industry to reevaluate its values and practices to ensure no one is harmed through the creative process again.” He continued, “My thoughts are with all who knew and loved Halyna.” Halls did not address the details of the incident or the reports that he was the one who handed Baldwin the gun involved in the shooting. Jae C Hong/AP/Shutterstock
Correcting the Narrative?
Baldwin reposted a thread from Terese Magpale Davis, who worked on Rust as a costume designer, outlining what they allege really happened on set. Davis’ post, which the actor shared via his Instagram account on November 2, claimed “the story being spun of us being overworked and surrounded by unsafe, chaotic conditions is bulls—t.” Davis stated that she “never worked more than a 12.5-hour shoot day,” saying that only happened once and “most days” were under the 12-hour mark. She recalled the day that Hutchins died, saying, “We had come off a 12-hour turnaround after an 11-hour shoot day,” noting they had a “56-hour weekend right before” the prolonged day. “No one was too tired to do their jobs,” she said. She refuted claims that the producers on the film didn’t care about their crew, writing, “They were some of the most approachable and warm producers I’ve ever worked with.” Davis explained that “concerns were heard and addressed” by the producers. According to her, the crew had a union rep who told production “not to give in to the camera crew” demands because they were asking for things that “the union does not require.” Davis alleged that she has spoken with the producers on the project since the accident, and they told her they have chosen not to defend themselves against the “blatantly false accusations” because they want the “focus to be on Halyna” and they want to “grieve and recover.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock

Police Protection?
“Every film/TV set that uses guns, fake or otherwise, should have a police officer on set, hired by the production, to specifically monitor weapons safety,” Baldwin tweeted on November 8. The actor, who has now made his Twitter profile private, also shared a screenshot of the tweet via his Instagram page. Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock
Halyna Hutchins Was Laid to Rest
More than a month after the tragedy, Halyna has been laid to rest. Her husband, Matthew, confirmed that a funeral was held on the weekend of Saturday, November 20, ET reports. Matthew revealed that Hutchins' grave marker has her name followed by ASC, indicating her association with The American Society of Cinematographers. The late mother's headstone also features images of a camera and film reel, emphasizing her passion for moviemaking. Underneath her years of birth and death is an inspirational quote: "Her light shapes our lives. Keep chasing your vision." Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
First Interview
The It's Complicated actor sat down for an in-depth interview with ABC News more than one month after the tragedy, opening up about the aftermath of the shooting. In a clip from the December 2021 special, Baldwin cried while reflecting on what went wrong on set. "The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger," he said. "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never. I have no idea [how a bullet got in there]. Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property." Baldwin went on to say the incident was the "worst thing" that's ever happened to him, explaining, "Because I think back and I think, 'What could I have done?'" Lumeimages/MEGA
The Aftermath
Baldwin confessed during his first sit-down interview about the incident that he didn't feel guilty, revealing, "I might have killed myself if I felt that I was responsible. I don't say that lightly." He continued to deny pulling the trigger, asserting that he was simply following Hutchins' directions on set. "I've been told by people who are in the know, in terms of even inside the state, that it's highly unlikely that I would be charged with anything criminally," he added. ABC News
The Letter
Baldwin shared a two-page letter via Instagram in December 2021 that was written by the Rust crew, which defended the film’s production. The writers of the note clarified that the note had "not been sanctioned or influenced in any way by the producers,” but was intended to "express a more accurate account" of their "workplace tragedy." The letter stated that Hutchins was the “heart of the production” and “losing her hurt every single one of us." "We are hurting from the loss of our togetherness, our spirit, and the loss of our labor,” the message continued. “We are hurting for our friends that have been targeted by the public as they themselves grieve." While those who worked on the film said the production had its challenges, “the descriptions of Rust as a chaotic, dangerous, and exploitative workplace are false and distract from what matters the most: the memory of Halyna Hutchins, and the need to find modern alternatives to outdated industry firearm and safety practices.” imageSPACE/Shutterstock

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Ups and Downs Through the Years

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 02:32 PM PST

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have experienced both highs and lows in their years-long relationship.

Kardashian and West met in the early 2000s when he was recording a song with her pal Brandy, a singer who is also the older sister to Ray Jthe KKW Beauty mogul's ex. The duo reconnected years later after her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries ended. At the time, Kardashian visited Paris to attend West's fashion show.

"Right before I got married to Kris Humphries, [Kanye and I] were talking and I just went a different direction. I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted," she explained on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians 10th anniversary special in 2017. "After my breakup, I was feeling really low and down and he said, 'Just come to Paris and see my fashion show.'"

The businesswoman added, "He jokes that he put on this whole fashion show just to get a date with me. So, I went there and I stayed with him, and that’s where we started dating. I swear from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, 'Oh, my God. Why didn't I do this sooner?' Like, this is what real life is like — love and fun and real support."

The twosome began dating in the spring of 2012 and Us Weekly confirmed that December that Kardashian was expecting the pair's first child, North. Four months after welcoming North, the "Gold Digger" rapper proposed to Kardashian. The couple wed in Italy in May 2014.

As their marriage progressed, the pair encountered issues when trying to grow their family. Though Kardashian gave birth to son Saint in 2015, she would welcome daughter Chicago in 2018 and son Psalm in 2019 via surrogate.

"You get your surrogate attorney, you get your surrogate broker and then the broker recommended that we use a therapist that would communicate with me first and then communicate with her and kind of be our liaison," she explained on Laura Wasser's "All's Fair" podcast in February 2020. "Toward the end, we got close enough where we could communicate really without that."

The pair continued to encounter and overcome hardships over the years, including Kardashian being held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016. West abruptly ended his New York concert and rushed to his wife's side upon hearing of the scary incident.

In July 2020, the Grammy winner announced his run for the U.S. presidency. During his campaign rally in South Carolina, he revealed a very personal tidbit about how he and Kardashian considered aborting their daughter North. He then proceeded to go on a Twitter rant, during which he claimed that Kardashian tried to get a "doctor to lock me up" after his behavior at the South Carolina event.

After months of split rumors, Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021.

Scroll down to see Kardashian and West's ups and downs through the years.

Early Beginnings
The pair continued to remain in contact after initially meeting through Brandy in the early 2000s. Kardashian said she was talking to West ahead of her marriage to Humphries, but she ultimately reconnected with the Yeezy designer after the marriage ended in October 2011. The couple went public with their romance in April 2012. Shutterstock
Expectant Parents
Us confirmed in December 2012 that Kardashian was pregnant with the pair’s first child. They welcomed North in June 2013. Shutterstock
Romantic Engagement
West planned the sweetest proposal to Kardashian in October 2013. At the time, he brought the reality star to the San Francisco Giants baseball stadium, AT&T Park. A sign at the stadium read, “PLEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” Kardashian’s family and close friends were all in attendance. Shutterstock
Fairytale Wedding
The couple tied the knot at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, in May 2014. Kardashian wore a Givenchy dress worth nearly $500,000. The nuptials cost an estimated $12 million. Shutterstock
Pregnancy Complications
Kardashian faced major health issues while she was pregnant with North and Saint. She opened up to Allure in October 2017 about the possibility of carrying her third child, saying: “I would like to, but I’ve had lots and lots of complications. I had preeclampsia. And then I also had something called placenta accreta. We’ve explored surrogacy. We’re thinking about it.” Both Chicago and Psalm arrived via surrogate. Shutterstock
Feuding With Taylor Swift
Despite interrupting her 2009 VMAs acceptance speech, West and Swift later appeared to be on good terms. The “Lover” singer even presented him with an award at the 2015 VMAs. However, they encountered issues when West made an offensive statement about Swift in his 2016 track “Famous.” After Swift spoke out against the derogatory remark, Kardashian leaked footage of Swift seemingly giving West permission to use the lyric. Swift would go on to address the feud through songs on her Reputation album in 2017. Cut to June 2019, Swift called out Kardashian in a Tumblr post for having “orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked.” In the year that followed, full footage from the frenemies’ call was leaked and Swift claimed in her Instagram Stories that she “was telling the truth the whole time.” Meanwhile, Kardashian tweeted in her husband’s defense and alleged that Swift was “actually lying.” Shutterstock (3)
Kim's Scary Robbery at Gunpoint
Kardashian flew to France in October 2016 to attend Paris Fashion Week. She was alone in her hotel room one evening when she was robbed at gunpoint by men disguised as police officers. They tied her up and put her in the bathroom before leaving the scene. Upon hearing the news, West abruptly left his set at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in New York. West told fans at the time, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Family emergency, I have to stop the show.” Kardashian would later recall the scary experience in a March 2017 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “I saw two guys holding another guy down in police uniforms, right outside of my bedroom, five feet away,” she explained. “So I slid off my bed and picked up my phone, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know how to call 911 in a different country.’ So I called [my bodyguard] Pascal [Duvier] and then the guy came in, grabbed the phone from me, and threw me on the bed. I was like, ‘This is it.’” Shutterstock (2)
Kanye's Hospitalization
West was hospitalized for extreme exhaustion in November 2016 at the UCLA Medical Center. Just before his hospitalization, West ranted about Jay Z and Beyoncé at a concert in Sacramento, California. He also canceled the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour. A source told Us that his workload, Kardashian’s Paris robbery and the anniversary of his late mother’s death contributed to his breakdown. “He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris,” the insider said. “It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping, and he was having nightmares about it.” Shutterstock
Standing by President Trump
West made headlines for his controversial support of President Donald Trump. In April 2018, the rapper even referred to Trump as his “brother” and said that they share “dragon energy.” Though Kardashian claimed that she would not vote for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, she ultimately visited the White House to work alongside the former reality TV star to improve prison reform. Shutterstock
Kanye's Mental Health
West said on his 2018 album, Ye, that he suffers from bipolar disorder. He later opened up about his mental health struggles on David Letterman’s Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. “I wouldn’t be able to explain that as much just because, you know, I'm not a doctor,” he said in May 2019. “I can just tell you what I’m feeling at the time, and I feel a heightened connection with the universe when I’m ramping up. It is a health issue.” West added, “This — it’s like a sprained brain, like having a sprained ankle. And if someone has a sprained ankle, you’re not going to push on him more. With us, once our brain gets to a point of spraining, people do everything to make it worse.” Stephen Lovekin/WWD/Shutterstock
Going West

Supporting Each Other's Achievements
After Kardashian sold a stake in her KKW Beauty brand to Coty in June, Forbes confirmed that her net worth had increased to $900 million. West congratulated her via Twitter by noting how “proud” he was of her becoming a billionaire. Before this, Kardashian raved about West’s Yeezy brand making a deal with Gap. “If anyone knows Kanye, they know how much the Gap and Yeezy means to him so this partnership is his dream come true,” she tweeted. “I am so proud of him.” Shutterstock
Presidential Run
West announced his run for president in July 2020. Later that month, he made headlines for a series of outrageous statements he made during a campaign rally in South Carolina. At the political event, he claimed that Harriet Tubman “never actually freed the slaves” and “just had the slaves go work for other white people.” He also stated that he “almost killed” daughter North via abortion. A source told Us that Kardashian was “deeply upset with Kanye for talking about their personal life and for making matters that are very personal to them and their family public.” MEGA
Kanye's Erratic Twitter Rant
After his South Carolina rally, West took to Twitter to post several rambling tweets. In one post, he claimed that Kardashian tried to get a doctor to “lock” him up after the comments he made at the political event. “She’s tried so hard to help him, but now Kim and her family feel as though he’s really crossed a line by talking negatively about them publicly and sharing private family matters with the public,” a source told Us. “She feels helpless at this point.” Shutterstock (2)
Standing By Him
After West made more claims about Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, via Twitter in July 2020, the KKW Beauty CEO released a statement about the musician’s struggles with bipolar disorder.   “I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health,” she began via Instagram Stories. “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.” Kardashian went on to call West “brilliant but complicated,” noting he is under a lot of pressure. She added: “Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some. That is part of his genius and as we have all witnessed, many of his big dreams have come true.” After asking for “compassion and empathy,” the reality TV star signed her message, “Kim Kardashian West.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Sticking Together
After jetting off to the Dominican Republic together in August 2020, a source told Us that the pair are back on track. “Their vacation definitely helped put things at ease for the time being, but the issues they were dealing with go deeper than that and unfortunately won’t just be solved with a trip,” one source said. “Their marriage definitely faced some hardships and was just hanging on with Kanye not being able to fully be present for their family, but ultimately Kim wants to keep everyone together and work things out for their kids.” According to a second insider, Kardashian and West “agreed” to stop talking about politics while they work on their marriage. Breaking Point
In January 2021, multiple sources confirmed to Us that Kardashian and West were headed for a split. “They have both been living separate lives for many months now. Kim and Kanye haven’t been on the same page for a while now,” a source told Us at the time, noting that the makeup mogul was “done dealing with Kanye’s unpredictable behavior.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

Divorce Specifics
Kardashian sought joint legal and physical custody of their four kids and asked a judge to enforce their prenup and terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support. West responded to the filing in April 2021, requesting the same conditions for custody and spousal support that his estranged wife put forth. MEGA
Opening Up
During a June 2021 episode of KUWTK, Kardashian shed some light on the state of her relationship with West after sister Khloé Kardashian noticed her "struggling privately behind [the] camera." After previously getting cagey about her marriage throughout the season, Kim broke her silence. "I just honestly can't do this anymore," she said. "Why am I still in this place where I'm stuck for years? Like, he goes and moves to a different state every year. I have to be, like, together so I can raise the kids. He's an amazing dad, he's done an amazing job. I just think he deserves someone who will support his every move and go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming. I can't do that. ... I feel like a f–king failure. It's my third f–king marriage. Yeah, I feel like a f–king loser. But I can't even think about that. I want to be happy." E!
Family Reunion
In July 2021, the estranged couple reunited with their kids in San Francisco for a private art showing at the Asian Art Museum. “They came in as a normal family who was there to have fun,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “They had a really great time with the kids and everyone looked really happy and in a good mood. The kids were running around and laughing.” Courtesy of Kim Kardashian/Instagram
Music Magic
Kardashian attended West’s Donda release and listening party in Atlanta in July 2021. The reality star sat in the stadium with the pair’s four little ones and her sister Khloé Kardashian, sharing footage from the arena via social media.  At the event, West stood silently as his music played throughout the stadium, including lyrics about his life as a newly single man and “losing my family.” One track featured his late mother’s voice saying, “No matter what, you never abandon your family.” MEGA; Courtesy of Khloe Kardashian/Instagram
New Confidence
Six months after Kardashian filed for divorce, she gushed over the lessons she learned from West throughout their nearly 10-year romance.  "As long as he was true to himself, that taught me so much in the best way [about] just being me and living in the moment," she said on the "We Are Supported By" podcast in August 2021. "You don't have to please everyone. As long as I'm myself and as long as I'm doing it the way that I want to, like, you have one life and you're living it for you. That taught me to just be more confident in myself and truly not care as much of what other people thought." Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock; Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock
Met Gala Collaboration
West didn't attend the 2021 Met Gala, but he did help his estranged wife choose the controversial Balenciaga look that she wore to the September event. After the big night, the rapper shared a series of photos of Kardashian via his Instagram account. His Yeezy company's official account responded by leaving a goat emoji in the comments of the post. ‘SNL’ Digs
When Kardashian made her Saturday Night Live hosting debut in October 2021, she used her monologue to get in a couple of jabs at her ex. "I married the best rapper of all time," she said. "Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America: a talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.” She later poked fun at West's 2020 presidential bid in a joke that also targeted Caitlyn Jenner's gubernatorial run. “Now I know we’re divided as a country, but I’d love America to come together, which is I’m here to announce that I’m running for ... I’m just kidding, guys," she quipped. "I’m not running for president. We can’t have three failed politicians in one family.” Rosalind O'Connor/NBC
Getting the House
In October 2021, Kardashian paid West $23 million for his share of the Hidden Hills, California, home they purchased shortly after their wedding. “She has made her life there and it’s her kids’ main home,” an insider previously told Us of the house. “There was never a question — Kim was going to keep the home.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Pete Davidson Drama
Amid rumors that the Selfish author had moved on with Pete Davidson, West said that he wanted to get back together with Kardashian. “SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off and I never have seen the papers. We’re not even divorced,” he claimed during an interview with Revolt's "Drink Champs" in November 2021. “So how we — because [it’s] no joke to me, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents — I want us to be together.” That same month, a source exclusively told Us that the Yeezy designer was "hurting" and "not happy" about Kardashian spending time with the comedian.  Shutterstock (2)
Reconciliation Attempt
Shortly after sharing a throwback PDA photo on social media, West made a public plea for his estranged wife to take him back while performing "Runaway" during a benefit concert in Los Angeles. "I need you to run right back to me," he sang. "More specifically, Kimberly." Evan Agostini/AP/Shutterstock

"They have both been living separate lives for many months now. Kim and Kanye haven't been on the same page for a while now," an insider told Us one month before the split. “Their world views no longer line up.”

In June, the Selfish author opened up about the reasons behind the breakup during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion special.

"It was not, like, one specific thing that happened on either part," she shared at the time. "I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision and in no way would I want someone to think I didn’t give it my all or I didn’t try.”

The CEO also reiterated that they’re still coparenting and remain close friends — something that has been evident since the split. In September, West helped design Kardashian’s Met Gala look, and in October, he worked with her ahead of her Saturday Night Live gig. More recently, she thanked him during her People’s Choice Awards Fashion Icon speech.

"We have an amazing coparenting relationship, and I respect him so much and I think we’ll have — I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan," the Skims designer said of the 22-time Grammy winner at the reunion. "He’s the father of my kids. Kanye will always be family.”

Kardashian has since moved on with Pete Davidson, who she connected with following her SNL stint.

"Kim lights up when she's around Pete," a separate source told Us in November. "Their chemistry is off the charts and getting stronger each passing day. No one can remember seeing her smile and laugh so much around a guy. He just has this ability to hold Kim's total attention and have her in stitches with his hilariously dry sense of humor. He's so down to earth and humble, which she really digs."

Kim Kardashian Files to Become Legally Single Amid Kanye West Divorce

Moving forward. As Kanye West attempts to publicly win back his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, the beauty mogul has officially filed paperwork requesting to be declared legally single, Us Weekly confirms.

In the court request, which was filed on Friday, December 10, Kardashian, 41, also asked to restore her original last name.

The legal update comes one day after West, 44, mentioned the TV personality while performing with Drake at the Free Larry Hoover event in Los Angeles. During the Amazon Prime livestream, West was singing “Runaway” when he decided to add an extra line.

“I need you to run right back to me,” the rapper sang. “More specifically, Kimberly.”

Kardashian, who shares North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, with West, originally filed for divorce in February after almost seven years of marriage. The recent court filing, if signed off on, will allow the Skims founder to terminate her martial status while the exes continue to resolve other issues including custody of their kids.

After the split, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum made headlines when she started to grow closer with Pete Davidson. The duo sparked romance speculation after they worked together during the KKW founder’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live in October.

One month later, Kardashian and Davidson, 28, were spotted hanging out several times in New York and California before they seemingly confirmed their romance. After the California native and her mother, Kris Jenner, joined the comedian for his birthday celebration, they were photographed holding hands in Palm Springs.

At the time, another source noted to Us that Kardashian’s connection with Davidson has been “a real positive transition for her” amid her divorce, adding, "She's learning to move past day-to-day stresses and focus on the fun and sexy things.”

West, for his part, seemingly acknowledged Kardashian’s new romance when he claimed that he never received any divorce papers.

"SNL making my wife say 'I divorced him' on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off, and I never have seen the papers. We're not even divorced," he said during an appearance on Revolt's "Drink Champs" podcast in November, referring to his estranged wife’s SNL monologue one month prior. "So how we — because [it's] no joke to me, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents — I want us to be together."

That same month, the Yeezy designer once again addressed his hope for a reconciliation with Kardashian.

"The narrative that God wants is for you to see that everything can be redeemed," he said ahead of Thanksgiving while visiting Skid Row. "In all these relationships, we've made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason — I didn't know I was going to be standing right here, I didn't know I was going to be in front of this mic — but I'm here to change that narrative."

Hilaria Baldwin Shares 1st Photo of Husband Alec Baldwin Since ‘Rust’ Sitdown

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 01:49 PM PST

More than a decade of romance. Alec Baldwin first met wife Hilaria Baldwin (née Thomas) in 2011, and she’s been by his side ever since.

The two met by chance at a New York City restaurant in February of that year.

“I wandered into Pure Food and Wine on Irving Place, on an unseasonably warm February evening,” the Saturday Night Live performer recalled via Instagram eight years after they first met. “My friend, [Brendan O’Connell] and I sat down (outside!) and as I turned to my left I saw a woman who would change my life. Entirely. 8 years today. Thanks for all you’ve given me. You are a gift.”

In a joint interview the following year, they revealed that the 30 Rock alum approached the yoga instructor and didn’t ask for her number. Instead, he gave her his card and told her to call him.

"I was standing near the door with my friends when he walked up and took my hand and said, 'I must know you,'" Hilaria told The New York Times in July 2012. After his future wife mustered up the courage to call him, she got his voicemail. They went on a date a few days later — and it didn’t take long for sparks to fly. The two were officially dating by spring and moved in together within a few months.

Their 26-year age difference (his was born in 1958 while she was born in 1984) was a big concern for the “Mom Brain” podcast host initially, but the filmmaker noticed her maturity right away — especially when she made it perfectly clear what she wanted from a relationship.

"While she was in no hurry, she was very mature and clear about what she wanted — to be married someday,” he recalled.

Alec was previously married to Kim Basinger for nearly 20 years until they divorced in 2002. In 1995, the pair welcomed daughter Ireland Baldwin.

Hilaria, who shares six children with her husband, opened up about being a stepmother to Alec’s eldest daughter in April 2019.

"Sometimes my language about my biological children does not include her. Because I did not birth her and I never want to disrespect the fact that she has a wonderful mother," the fitness guru shared via Instagram amid criticism that she didn’t speak much about Ireland. "But this will never take away from how much I love her, need her in my life, and think that she is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Please don't look for trouble where there is none."

A viral twitter thread about Hilaria put her at the center of controversy, during which she was accused of faking her Spanish accent and heritage. She said that she and Alec help their kids “celebrate both cultures” and “are raising our children bilingual, just as I was raised. The Boston native traveled to Spain many times throughout her life, and her family moved to Mallorca in 2011. The Hollywood star defended his wife, sharing in an Instagram video at the time, "There's things that have been said lately about people that I love, that I care about deeply, which are ridiculous. I mean, just ridiculous." MediaPunch/Shutterstock

After a month-long hiatus from Instagram, Hilaria released an apology. "I've spent the last month listening, reflecting, and asking myself how I can learn and grow," the podcaster wrote in a caption at the time. "My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both. The way I’ve spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been more clear and I’m sorry. Alec, who produced and starred in Rust, was part of a tragic shooting on set during which he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. "My heart is with Halyna. Her husband. The couple went to Vermont in the aftermath of the Rust shooting. “I brought [Alec] up here because we have to mourn Halyna’s death. Alec had a really traumatic thing happen, and I am trying to limit the PTSD,” she told the New York Post at the time. “He needs space for me to take care of him and his mental health. It’s an awful thing that happened. Alec feels awful.” MediaPunch/Shutterstock

After the Knots Landing alum opened up about the emotional toll of the Rust incident during an ABC tell-all, he thanked his wife for her support. "No matter what happens to me. No matter what I suffer. If I win or lose, anything. Anything. No one can take away from me the joy and love you have given me, @hilariabaldwin," he wrote via Instagram. "These are tough times. The world is choked with fumes of hate. But you have given me a reason to live. Our life with our family is all I care about. Nothing else. I owe that to you." Courtesy of Alec Baldwin/Instagram

Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield Have a ‘Spider-Man’ Group Chat

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 01:43 PM PST

Forget FaceTime and Zoom — the celebrity group chat is where it's at. Whether it's Taylor Swift's squad or the cast of the Avengers, these are the famous text chains every fan wishes they could be a part of.

Luckily, Hollywood's biggest stars often give fans a bit of insight at what it's like inside these never-ending conversations with their close pals and costars. Riverdale star Madelaine Petsch described her cast's group chat as "lit," while the Dawson's Creek WhatsApp is more exclusive than you might imagine — just ask Busy Philipps.

The Cougar Town alum exclusively told Us Weekly she was surprised to hear that her former costars — Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and James Van Der Beek — were constantly keeping in touch without her. "I was like, 'Oh, wow. OK, well, that's cool,'" Philipps said in 2018, before joking, "I have everyone's number individually. Should I just text them all together, like, 'Hey, guys. Want to include me in?'"

Not every famous person agrees that more text threads are a good thing. One reason Philipps wasn't that upset about being left off the Dawson's Creek phone tree is because she has "enough group texts that drive me insane."

The Freaks and Geeks alum told Us, "I truly cannot stand a group text. Because when people get going, and if you're in a meeting or you're doing something and then you get to your phone and you have like 40 missed texts, and you have to weed through."

Fans might be willing to overlook the large number of notifications if they can get in on the Dune, Bridgerton or the Big Little Lies cast's star-studded text chains. In 2019, Nicole Kidman revealed that the HBO show's message group was no boys allowed — and very light on emojis.

Some TV show casts even have multiple conversations going at the same time such as One Tree Hill, which has a chat just for the dads. As sweet as that may sound, Sophia Bush swears that the girl's online hangout is where you want to be — it includes every former female cast member from the show, including Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz.

Candace Cameron-Bure revealed to Us that there are two different threads for Full House and Fuller House — but only a handful of cast members have access to both. No surprise, she's one of the lucky ones.

Keep scrolling to learn about all the celebrity group chats you'll wish you could join:

Kardashian-Jenner Family
In 2018, Kendall Jenner revealed that her family didn’t have just one text thread, but multiple ones — which made her nervous. “I was on a group chat with Khloé [Kardashian] and Kourtney [Kardashian] the other day and we were talking about something — I don't even think we were talking bad about one of our other family members — but I had this realization,” the model said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, do you have a group chat about me?! Do you talk about me in other group chats?’ They were like, ‘Kendall, you literally don't do anything wrong. We don't talk about you.’”   Miller Mobley/E! Entertainment
Taylor Swift's Squad
The “Cardigan” singer’s besties, including Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Selena Gomez, stay in touch through WhatsApp, according to Hailee Steinfeld. “We try to [speak a lot],” the Hawkeye actress said in 2016. “It’s so crazy being all over the world at the same time and rarely being in the same place at the same time. But it’s so much fun to stay in contact and find each other along the way and all get caught up.”   Shutterstock (2)
Dawson’s Creek
Meredith Monroe, who played Andie McPhee on the WB series, doesn’t have to wait until the next reunion to catch up with her costars. “James, Josh, Katie, we’re all in a group text,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2018. “We reconnected [after the 20th anniversary] and now we have a group text going again, so that’s been nice.” However, this was news to Philipps, who told Us that she and Michelle Williams weren’t asked to join the ongoing conversation. “I don’t know why we’re not on it, but we’re not,” she said that same year. “Maybe they figure that we’re fine.” Frank Ockenfels/Warner Bros Tv/Kobal/Shutterstock
The Avengers
The MCU heroes like to stay connected via text — but Chris Hemsworth is often hard to reach. The Thor: Ragnarok star told BBC Radio 1 that he has two numbers: an Australian one and an American one. The problem is the group chat goes to his U.S. number and he spends most of his time Down Under. “So when I fly into America, I'm like, 'Cool, 40 days of messages to catch up with,’” he explained in 2019. While the Extraction actor is the slowest to respond, he noted that Robert Downey Jr. is “pretty active” in the chat and Jeremy Renner shares the most NSFW messages. "The guy's a sicko," Hemsworth joked. Marvel Enterprises/Kobal/Shutterstock
One Tree Hill
It’s girls vs. boys when it comes to the beloved CW show’s online correspondence — and Bush said that the women of the teen drama, which ran from 2003 to 2012, are winning the chat wars. “Our group texts are lit. If people could see them, I’m like, ‘Oh man, this would be something,’” the Chicago P.D. alum told Bustle in 2018. “We literally have a group text with every girl who’s ever been on the show and it’s off the chain.” Not to be outdone, the men of the teen series have their own “One Tree Hill dad chat,” which Tyler Hilton joined after having his first child with wife Megan Park in February 2020. “It was the cutest thing,” the singer gushed in an interview with Today that fall. “I was thinking, ‘Dude, if any of us thought we'd one day be on a Father's Day chat together, we would’ve been like: What?’ It was wild.” Dave Allocca/Starpix/Shutterstock
Bridgerton
Lady Whistledown might want to look over those receipts. Unfortunately, Regé-Jean Page will no longer be able to spill the tea with his former costars on WhatsApp. In September 2021, the former Duke of Hastings admitted he “respectfully exited” the chat after leaving the Netflix series. “I didn’t want to put them in an awkward situation where they had to kick me out,” the English actor told GQ at the time, adding that the show’s “universe has expanded” enough that his presence in the text group won’t be missed too much.   LIAM DANIEL/NETFLIX
Full House and Fuller House
Yes, both the original series and its Netflix revival have their own group chats — though Cameron Bure told Us that there is some crossover. “The Full House group chat is, like, it’s the OGs: John [Stamos], Bob [Saget], Dave [Coulier]. … The only one that’s on both is Scott Weinger — oh, and Jodie [Sweetin] and Andrea [Barber], of course,” she explained in April 2021. The Fuller House thread “includes, like, all the kids, even their parents and then Juan Pablo [Di Pace] and John Brotherton,” the actress best known as DJ Tanner continued. “It’s fun, but the OG stays in the OG!” Robert Trachtenberg/Netflix
Big Little Lies
Kidman told Vanity Fair in 2019 that the cast of the HBO series — which includes Reese Witherspoon, Zoë Kravitz and Shailene Woodley — had a group chat that was women only. “There are no men in our equation,” she said. “I mean, there are, but they’re not on the group chat, let’s put it that way.” When Meryl Streep joined the show in season 2, she got an invite to the thread, “and she’s very funny,” the Undoing alum revealed in the same interview. The Practical Magic star would later admit that she was “the only one who sends emojis,” while Witherspoon prefers to send gifs. HBO/Kobal/Shutterstock
Dune
Timothée Chalamet gave fans a taste of the sci-fi film’s group chat when he shared a screengrab via his Instagram Story in 2021 of his costar Oscar Isaac joking that they looked like a “REALLY sh---y boy band” in a recent photo shoot. Fellow Dune star Josh Brolin’s reaction? “We ARE a sh---y boy band.”   Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock
Riverdale
Not even a pandemic could hinder the online chemistry of the CW teen drama’s cast. “[Our] group chat is always lit up,” Petsch told Us in July 2020. “It’s never not lit.” Camila Mendes agreed with her costar. “Our group text is active,” she told Us in April 2021. “There’s a lot of TikToks being sent back and forth. We’re always texting each other when personal things happen. We very much lean on each other.”   Katie Yu/The CW
The Spider-Men
If your Spidey sense is tingling it might be because Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire have a WhatsApp group. The Impossible star told BBC Radio One in December 2021 that he and the former Spider-Man stars have a bond thanks to Peter Parker. “We share something that only us three could possibly imagine,” he said. “Maybe a few stunt doubles, [but] it’s different actually being the guy.” Holland admitted that he was the one who got the chat set up initially — and it might not be the most active of the Hollywood threads. “I think I’m the only one who’s ever spoken in it,” he joked. Royal Family Is 'Starting Fresh' Ahead of Annual Christmas Celebration

‘Tis the season! As the holidays are fast approaching, the royal family is getting ready for a long overdue reunion to ring in the new year.

“The Cambridges are spending Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham. It's going to be a big family affair,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly, adding that “George, Charlotte and Louis are absolutely delighted to be seeing their great grandmother in person again.”

The annual holiday plans changed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, which meant that Queen Elizabeth II‘s usual festivities at Sandringham Estate and her holiday party at Buckingham Palace were both canceled.

"Having considered all the appropriate advice, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have decided that this year they will spend Christmas quietly in Windsor," a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said in December 2020. The couple originally started isolating at Windsor Castle in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Prince Philip died earlier this year at the age of 99.

The queen will be joined by Prince William and Duchess Kate, who share Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3. Their children have “spent hours picking out their own festive gifts for [the queen], and Charlotte and George made her paintings of The Christmas Story in art class at school.”

The insider also notes that this year’s celebration comes after many ups and downs.

“[William and Kate] are looking forward to starting fresh in the New Year. We'll be seeing a transition of responsibility — they're taking on additional charity work, attending more events and making appearances,” the source says. “There's even a royal tour in the works, and of course they're heavily involved in the Platinum Jubilee.”

The pair’s plans come after they faced a major rift in their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Sussexes made headlines when they announced their plans to step down as senior royals in January 2020. Following their decision to permanently leave their royal duties, Meghan, 40, and Harry, 37, addressed the issues they faced during a CBS tell-all.

During the March interview, the former actress revealed how her complicated relationship with the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, was made worse by the U.K. press, saying, “If you love me, you don’t have to hate her. And if you love her, you don’t have to hate me.”

Meghan also claimed that the report that she made Kate cry before her 2018 wedding ceremony was false.

"The reverse happened. … A few days before the wedding she was upset about flower girl dresses and it made me cry. It really hurt my feelings,” the Suits alum noted. “It was a really hard week of the wedding. And she was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologized. And she brought me flowers and a note, apologizing.”

At the time, another source told Us that Kate “feels that there was a misunderstanding” when it came to her interactions with Meghan.

"They were never that close, but the reason they're not speaking is because of the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William," a source detailed. "Harry and William have communicated sparingly over the last year, but none of their communications have been friendly in quite some time. There is real animosity that the brothers have toward one another, and that has spilled over to Meghan and Kate's relationship, making it very hard for them to be friends or even friendly."

Following the June birth of Meghan and Harry’s second child, daughter Lili, a third source revealed that Kate has been making attempts to mend fences.

“Kate has been reaching out to Meghan a lot more since [Lilibet] was born, she’s sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build up a relationship,” an insider shared. “The firm has been instructing staffers to reach out more to Harry and Meghan to get them to soften a bit.”

William, 39, and Kate have recently offered a glimpse at how they are ringing in the holidays with their annual Christmas card.

"Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year's Christmas card," they captioned the family photo via Instagram on Friday, December 10.

When Tristan Thompson Knew He Could 'No Longer Keep' Paternity Suit a Secret From Khloe Kardashian

How he broke the news. Khloé Kardashian found out about Tristan Thompson's alleged third child before the rest of the world, but that didn't make it hurt any less.

Tristan Thompson's Paternity Lawsuit: Everything to Know

“Khloé didn’t find out about the baby from social media. Tristan told Khloé when media outlets began started digging and officially calling his team for comment," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "He knew it was inevitable [and] that he would no longer be able to keep it from her."

Us broke the news earlier this month that Maralee Nichols gave birth to a baby boy. The personal trainer claimed in court documents that she had sex with Thompson, who is the father of son Prince, 5, with ex Jordan Craig and daughter True, 3, with Kardashian, in March. The athlete allegedly texted her when she was pregnant that he wouldn't "be involved" in the child's life.

"Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It's completely wrong," the alleged text message read. "You are aware that I'm retiring after this season. So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who's unemployed."

Thompson and Kardashian ended their on-again, off-again relationship in August. They previously split in February 2019 after he was caught kissing Kylie Jenner's then-best friend Jordyn Woods but reconciled during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Khloé has moved on and her focus has remained coparenting with Tristan," the source tells Us. "They broke up months ago and she recognizes he isn’t going to change."

The Good American designer has yet to officially comment on the scandal, but she did hint at how she was coping when clapping back at a social media troll who accused her of throwing shade at Halle Berry at the People's Choice Awards on Tuesday, December 7.

"That's disappointing my face gave that expression. Halle Berry is such a force. Absolutely Stunning and beyond talented," she tweeted on Tuesday. "Tbh I'm barely in my own body right now. Please don't read into anything. Also please don't tear me apart because you assumed something."

A source previously told Us that it's a "very sad" time for Kardashian, who hoped Thompson had "changed his ways" after the Woods scandal, despite the fact that he had also cheated on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum with multiple women throughout her pregnancy.

Why Zendaya and Tom Holland’s Christmas Plans Don’t Include Cooking

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 01:23 PM PST

From friends to lovers. Zendaya and Tom Holland have their romance hush-hush, but fans know that the two have a long history.

The actors met while working on Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016 and romance rumors quickly followed. However, there wasn’t a direct confirmation of them dating until July 2021, when they were spotted kissing.

At the time, the Cherry star and the Disney Channel alum were seen packing on the PDA in Holland’s car, in photographs obtained by Page Six. The two shared a smooch and made funny faces at each other in an Audi sports car in Los Angeles.

Shortly after the pics confirmed what had been suspected for years, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the pair were completely unaware of the photographer snapping away and prefer to fly under the radar.

"They're both not one to make their relationship public," another source told Us earlier this month. "They're private when it comes to dating, so any photos that have come out would've just been them going about their business and not knowing photographers were around."

Later that month, a third insider exclusively revealed that the Marvel stars' friendship created a strong foundation for their romantic relationship.

"Zendaya and Tom started off as really great friends and stayed that way for a long while before things turned romantic,” the source revealed, adding that the Emmy winner and the Avengers: Endgame actor “work really well together because he makes her laugh and she really helps guide him through the world of celebrity.”

Holland found fame as soon as he debuted as the web slinging superhero in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Though Zendaya joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe after her beau, she entered the limelight years earlier while starring on Disney Channel hits, including Shake It Up and KC Undercover.

The duo “challenge each other and balance each other out,” the third source told Us in July 2021.

It isn’t clear exactly how long the couple have been dating due to the on-again, off-again nature of their relationship. While they were first linked in 2017, they’ve both had other relationships since then. Zendaya dated Euphoria costar Jacob Elordi in 2020, while Holland was rumored to be dating family friend Olivia Bolton from 2019 to 2020. He later sparked romance rumors with Nadia Parkes when he posted a photo of the actress to Instagram.

Romance rumors swirled around the duo, but the "Rewrite the Stars" singer denied the speculation. "It happens all the time, and of course we expected it," she told Entertainment Tonight in August 2017. "I mean, it comes with the territory. It comes with the job, so it’s all good." Holland accidentally gave Zendaya's Instagram handle a cheeky placement in a social media upload, which sparked romance rumors again. “You mean, because I tagged Zendaya over my groin in an Instagram post?” Holland quipped to British GQ when asked about relationship speculation. “That was so funny; it was obviously a mistake," he explained. "But in all seriousness, it is also incredibly frustrating. It’s very nerve-racking. It means that if you are dating someone, you have to be really conscious of their feelings, because if something does happen between the two of you, it’s not just happening between the two of you, it’s happening in front of the entire world. And it can be very complicated. It’s one of the things I worry about most, of all the things in my career.” Eric Charbonneau/Shutterstock

We really are a family. And you know, becoming famous at the age of 19, but this is a different kind of famous. There’s not a corner of the world that Spider-Man hasn’t touched so it’s a lot to take in so it’s really nice for me to have a family to share that with.” F Thomson/Shutterstock

Ant Anstead Plays Coy About Christmas Plans With GF Renée Zellweger

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 01:16 PM PST

An unexpected match! Ant Anstead continued to make headlines after his split from Christina Haack by sparking an A-list romance with Renée Zellweger.

The Wheeler Dealers star was previously married to Haack for nearly two years before the pair announced their separation via Instagram in September 2020. Nine months later, Us Weekly confirmed that the duo finalized their divorce, agreeing to share custody of their son, Hudson, who arrived in September 2019.

Anstead wasn’t single for long, however, sparking rumors of a romance with the Judy actress in late June 2021. Multiple outlets confirmed the relationship that month, shortly before the pair were photographed together lounging on the U.K. native’s balcony.

While celebrating the 4th of July together, the couple were caught kissing on their bikes at a traffic light. The PDA-filled outings continued throughout July 2021, with the twosome smooching while wandering through the parking lot of a Laguna Beach, California, hardware store.

Neither Anstead nor the Bridget Jones’ Diary star addressed the romance publicly right away. As the For the Love of Cars presenter’s relationship raised eyebrows, his ex-wife moved on too. Haack was photographed holding hands with beau Joshua Hall in July 2021 and made the relationship Instagram official soon after.

Both Anstead and the Flip or Flop star did their best to keep a positive outlook in the wake of their split. In September 2020, the Petrol Head Parenting author even told his social media followers that he and Haack aimed to stay close for the sake of their son.

“While we both appreciate words of support, Please stop trying to diagnose from afar. It’s not fair,” he wrote via Instagram alongside a sweet snap of him and Hudson. “Christina is fine. I am fine. And we remain good friends and will navigate this at our pace. Compassion and kindness is all that’s needed. X.”

Though fans were shocked when the pair pulled the plug on their marriage, there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the exes. Zellweger, for her part, boasts a roster of famous former flames, including Jim Carrey, Kenny Chesney and Bradley Cooper.

The Texas native was briefly engaged to Carrey in 2000, and five years later, she walked down the aisle with the country crooner. After only four months of marriage, the duo called it quits, but Zellweger remained fairly quiet about what caused their split.

“I’m an old-fashioned gal who doesn’t feel it’s appropriate to hang out your laundry on the lawn,” she told The Advocate in September 2016. “I feel you devalue yourself as a human being when you share very personal things with a bajillion strangers who are making fun of you. I just don’t see that there’s any dignity in that.”

A source told Us exclusively in July 2021 that the car enthusiast was "excited about life" as his romance with the Golden Globe winner heated up. Counting On's Jana Duggar Charged With Endangering a Minor

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 12:44 PM PST

Counting controversies. Jana Duggar was recently charged with a misdemeanor in the aftermath of her brother Josh Duggar‘s arrest.

The former TLC personality, 31, was charged endangering the welfare of a minor in Arkansas on September 10, according to the Elm Springs District Country Clerk. In her home state, consequences for child endangerment range from paying fines to spending up to 90 days in jail. A court date is reportedly set for January.

News broke of Jana’s case one day after Josh, 33, was convicted in his lengthy court battle following his April arrest. The political activist was found guilty on Thursday, December 9, with the jury ruling on two charges of receiving and possessing child pornography. He was not sentenced at the time but could face up to 20 years in jail and $250,000 in fines for each count.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s eldest son shares children Mackynzie, 12, Michael, 10, Marcus, 8, Meredith, 6, Mason, 4, and Maryella, 2, with wife Anna Duggar. In October, one month before his trial began, the couple welcomed baby No. 7, daughter Madyson. Amid the scandal, Anna, 33, has stood by her husband’s side.

After the jury rested their case on Thursday, Josh’s parents thanked fans for their continued prayers. “This entire ordeal has been very grievous. Today, God’s grace, through the love and prayers of so many, have sustained us. Our hearts and prayers are with anyone who has ever been harmed through [child sexual abuse material],” the couple, who share 19 children, told Us Weekly in a statement.

Jim Bob, 56, and Michelle, 55, noted that they would “surround our daughter-in-law Anna and [her] children with love and support,” adding, “As parents, we will never stop praying for Joshua, and loving him, as we do all of our children.”

Before a verdict was reached in Josh’s trial, his family’s reality series Counting On was axed from TLC. The network previously asserted that they had cut all ties with Josh in 2015 after he was accused of molesting multiple girls — some of whom were his sisters — as a teenager in the early 2000s.

While many of her relatives addressed Thursday’s news, Jana did not make a public statement. However, she was spotted at the courthouse days prior with her father. Her sister Jill Duggar and brother-in-law Derick Dillard also made appearances at the trial, later breaking their silence on the hearing in a lengthy blog post.

“Today was difficult for our family. Our hearts go out to the victims of child abuse or any kind of exploitation,” the couple, who wed in 2014, wrote on Thursday. “We are thankful for the hard work of law enforcement, including investigators, forensic analysts, prosecutors and all others involved who save kids and hold accountable those responsible for their abuse.”

The 30-year-old Growing Up Duggar coauthor noted that “nobody is above the law,” which she felt was made clear by the jury’s verdict.

“We have been lied to so much that we wanted to hear the evidence for ourselves in court. After seeing all the evidence as it was presented, we believe that the jury reached a just verdict today, consistent with the truth beyond a reasonable doubt. … This trial has felt more like a funeral than anything else. Josh’s family has a long road ahead. We stand with them, we are praying for them, and we will seek to support them however we can during this dark time,” she and Dillard, 32, concluded.

Unlike her siblings, Jana has yet to start a family of her own, telling Us exclusively in July 2020 that she wasn’t “worried” about being slower to tie the knot.

“Yes, I long to be married and one day I think that will come, but I think … I’m just also just trying to stay busy with whatever comes along my path,” she said at the time. “I think if I sit there and I’m like, ‘Oh no, I’m not married,’ and just [get] all worried about it, it makes things way worse.”

Tom Brady and More Pay Tribute to Demaryius Thomas After Shocking Death

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 12:40 PM PST

Following the news that Demaryius Thomas passed away at the age of 33, his former teammates and loved ones are honoring the former Super Bowl champion.

Thomas was found dead in his Roswell, Georgia, home following a medical issue, according to police officials, per CNN. His first cousin LaTonya Bonseigneur addressed her family member’s unexpected death on Friday, December 10.

"He had been suffering from seizures for over a year, and we believe he had a seizure when he was showering," Bonseigneur told the Associated Press. "We're not sure when he died. We just spoke with him yesterday. He was alone and a friend couldn't get hold of him, so he called his driver, who has a key because of these seizures, and he went into his home and found him in the shower."

After the news of the former Denver Broncos player’s death made headlines, the team released a statement.

"We are devastated and completely heartbroken by the sudden, tragic passing of Demaryius Thomas," a statement from the Denver Broncos read. "D.T. was beloved by our entire organization, his teammates and coaches and our fans. Recently retiring as a Bronco, we were very music looking forward to celebrating Demaryius for years to come as one of the greatest players in franchise history."

The statement continued: "We have lost an incredible player and a special person in Demaryius Thomas. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the Thomas family and all who are grieving this unimaginable loss. … Demaryius’ humility, warmth, kindness and infectious smile will always be remembered by those who knew him and loved him."

Peyton Manning also reflected on the time he spent with his former teammate, sharing in a statement through the Denver Broncos chief communications officer, "D.T. was a better person than he was a player, and he was a Hall of Fame player. That tells you how good of a person he was."

Thomas, who originally played college football before spending 10 years in the NFL, announced his retirement from the sport earlier this year.

“It was a tough decision, a real tough decision,” the Georgia native said via a statement in June. “Always as a kid or always when I did something, it was always [giving] my best to go and go and go. And football was my go. Every year I tried to get better and better, and I knew I was aging, of course. It was something tough, but I’m grateful I did 10, 11 years. I’m so grateful for that and now I can move on. I’m happy, I’m healthy. And now I can try to find my next itch."

Thomas' former teammate on the Broncos posted a gallery of Instagram photos, writing, “Demaryius, I love you! I can’t believe it, I don’t want to believe it. RIP 💔🙏🏽." Decker, who appeared with Thomas on his reality series Eric & Jessie: Game On in 2014, recalled their first meeting. "We met in Arizona pre-NFL draft 2010. I was enamored by his presence. Not many 20 year olds built like him. I was rehabbing from a major foot surgery and was struggling with it. Felt alone and weak," he added. "Demaryius unfortunately suffered a Jones fracture halfway through his training (not long after he arrived). He had surgery and found himself next to me rehabbing every day. We instantly bonded over it. Leaned on one another to stay the course — and the same with other shortcomings in our lives. He was the brother I always wanted. … He was my roommate, confidant, Batman to my robin, record-setting teammate." The Minnesota native concluded: "We shared many travels together, he was in my wedding, held my babies and was always in my corner. His smile was infectious- transformed a room when he arrived. His heart was gold! He brought joy all our lives. I am forever grateful to have Demaryius in my life. He is truly one of a kind and will forever be missed 🙏🏽.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock

Eric's wife, Jessie, posted her own tribute to their longtime friend via Instagram, writing, "When we got the call last night I dropped to my knees and I couldn’t believe it. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard in my life and the tears just won’t stop. I’ve never seen Eric like this before, his heart is in pieces." The singer explained that the late football player became "family" to them over the years. "The relationship he and Eric had was beautiful and special. His heart, his infectious smile, his kindness, his soul. Eric and Demaryius were truly like brothers and anyone that was around them could feel how special their friendship was together on and off the field," she noted. "I don’t know if we will ever truly heal from this one. I will cherish the beautiful memories we all had together in Denver and I know he will be looking down on all of us from heaven. Still the GOAT! Simone Biles Is Time’s Athlete of the Year

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 12:35 PM PST

Simply the best! Simone Biles is small in stature — just 4-foot-8 — but her reputation looms large.

The Texas-based athlete, now widely considered to be the greatest of all time in her sport, started taking gymnastics classes when she was 6 and earned an invitation to the junior national team camp when she was 14. Two years later, she made her debut at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, where she won a gold medal in the all-around and floor exercise competitions. She followed that up with two more all-around titles in Worlds ahead of her Olympics debut in Rio de Janeiro.

“People say I'm the best, but I still don't think that," Biles told The New Yorker before the 2016 competition. "I guess if I go to the Olympics and do well, maybe I'll believe it."

She did extremely well, winning gold medals in the individual all-around, vault and floor, a bronze medal in balance beam and a gold medal as part of the United States team alongside Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian.

After the 2016 Olympics, the five-time world champion took a brief hiatus to work on a book and appear on Dancing With the Stars, but by August 2017, she was back in the gym.

The ESPY winner took home two more world titles and planned to retire after competing in the 2020 Olympic Games, which were postponed until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I kind of let myself go through the emotions," she told Sports Illustrated in July 2021, recalling her feelings after realizing she’d have to wait another year to compete. "Sad, mad, angry, pissed off, hysterical — all of the phases. And that's the first time in my life I've ever felt the emotions rather than somebody coming up to me and telling me, 'Hey, it's gonna be OK.' I got to relish in all of those emotions and phases myself rather than people telling me, 'Hey, it's gonna be OK. You should be fine.' It's like, ‘Bro, no, I don't want to be fine. I don't have to be fine. I can be pissed off for now.'”

Biles was expected to dominate again at the Tokyo Games, but pulled out of the team competition after a disappointing performance in her signature event, the vault.

“Simone has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue,” USA Gymnastics told Us Weekly in a statement in July 2021. “She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions.”

Despite her withdrawal, the U.S. team — which also included Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles and Grace McCallumstill took home the silver medal.

“They stepped up when I couldn't,” Biles wrote of her teammates in an Instagram post after their second-place finish. “Thanks for being there for me and having my back!”

Keep scrolling to take a look back at Biles’ many achievements over the years:

Tim McGraw Gushes Over Wife Faith Hill in 'Yellowstone' Prequel

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 12:20 PM PST

As sweet as a love song! Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have one of the strongest relationships in the music industry — and their bond just keeps getting better.

The country couple first met at a Nashville gig in late 1994, when they were each seeing other people. At the time, the "Just to See You Smile" singer was dating Kristine Donahue, and Hill had just finalized her divorce from Daniel Hill. Two years later, Faith joined McGraw on the Spontaneous Combustion tour and sparks began to fly.

After a whirlwind romance, the "Don't Take the Girl" crooner wed his country cutie in October 1996 in his Louisiana hometown. Nearly 20 years later, McGraw looked back on the romantic moment he proposed to his soulmate on tour.

"We were in the dressing room, here, June 26, 1996, and it was raining and stuff and we’d been on tour for a while together, and I joked around with her about getting married. And so I looked at her, grabbed her by the hand, and dropped forward [on my knees] onstage," he recalled in a nostalgic video in October 2015. "She said, ‘We’re at a country music festival in a trailer house, and you’re asking me to marry you?’ And I said, ‘Yeah.’ So I went onstage … When I came back offstage, [I saw] a Sharpie with lipstick kisses all over it, saying, ‘Yes! I’m gonna be your wife.’"

The couple brought their love all across the country — and later, around the world — on their Soul2Soul tour. Between gigs, awards shows and recording hits, the pair welcomed three daughters: Grace in 1997, Maggie in 1998 and Aubrey in 2001.

Even through their most difficult moments, McGraw and the "Mississippi Girl" songstress have stood strongly by each other's side. When Faith lost her father, Ted Perry, in February 2019, her husband shared a loving tribute on social media in his honor.

"He was the sweetest, kindest most gentle man I've ever known," McGraw wrote at the time. "No man in my life has ever made such an impact on me as to how to be a human, a father and a friend."

Scroll down to relive McGraw's everlasting love with the "Wild One" singer!

The country singers first met at the New Faces Show in Nashville in late 1994. Seven years after getting sober, the crossover star told Men’s Health that his wife played a big role in his quitting drinking. "When your wife tells you it's gone too far, that's a big wake-up call," McGraw explained. "That, and realizing you're gonna lose everything you have." Shutterstock
October 2015
Just shy of two decades after tying the knot, the country superstars remembered the moment McGraw proposed. "It was raining and stuff and we’d been on tour for a while together, and I joked around with her about getting married," he said in a nostalgic video. "I looked at her, grabbed her by the hand, and dropped forward [on my knees] onstage. She had already done her show. And I said, 'I’m really serious. I want you to marry me.' … When I came back offstage, [I saw] a Sharpie with lipstick kisses all over it, saying, 'Yes! I’m gonna be your wife.'" Shutterstock

The lovebirds shared several steamy snapshots on social media as they arrived at the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards. “We’re headed to the ACMs with my beautiful wife. She’s hot!” McGraw teased in a behind-the-scenes moment on Instagram.  Shutterstock

As they geared up to celebrate two decades of marriage, the singers spilled their plans to Us exclusively — and opted for a low-key night instead of a big to-do. "We are going to be in sweats, binge watching TV," Hill joked.   Shutterstock

The overprotective parents revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that they weren’t totally ready for their daughters to start dating. "Look, you don’t want to be mean, but when someone’s taking your daughter somewhere, you want to induce a healthy amount of respect — and fear," McGraw said after saying he strategically placed a sledgehammer nearby when one of his daughters’ dates picked her up from their house. Staying strong. The "Let Me Let Go" songstress bravely addressed her husband’s fans after he collapsed on stage during a concert in Dublin, Ireland. "Tim is fine. We’ve all been a little bit dehydrated traveling so much. He’s been super dehydrated, and I apologize but I made the decision that he cannot come back out on the stage," she said at the time. "So drink water, people, keep yourself hydrated." Shutterstock

When tragedy struck Faith’s family, the "Highway Don’t Care" singer showed his wife his full support. "G Pa, Faith’s father passed away last week at 88 yrs old. He was the sweetest, kindest most gentle man I’ve ever known," McGraw wrote via Instagram. "No man in my life has ever made such an impact on me as to how to be a human, a father and a friend … I’ll never, in 10 lifetimes, be able to live up to his example, but man, he has set a mark that all of us should strive for. McGraw reflected on getting sober in 2008 during an interview with Esquire. He pointed to a moment when he was “getting out of and going to the liquor cabinet and taking a big shot at 8:00 in the morning and thinking, ‘I have to wake the kids up’” as his last straw. "I went straight to my wife and said, 'This is where I'm at.' I was scared,” he recalled. “She just grabbed me and hugged me and changed my life.” The country crooner proceeded to gush over his wife and how her love his part of what has helped him remain strong all these years. "My wife always says, 'You're not scared of anything.' I say, 'Ehhh, one thing. I'm looking at it right now,'" McGraw told the magazine. "I didn't know love could feel so good. Was it an emotion? Was it a lifestyle? Was it an imaginary thing? But love is all of those things." He continued: "Love is being angry. Love is not talking for a day. Love is getting in each other's face. Love is accepting that I'm wrong. Love is a 360-degree thing. It's not linear. They always say you're not supposed to fight in front of your kids. Everybody fights in front of their kids. That's part of the deal." Invision/AP/Shutterstock

"I wouldn't change anything for the world. I love you baby. Happy Birthday ❤️," the musician wrote alongside a video via Instagram for his wife's 54th birthday. The “Highway Don’t Care” singer reflected on his proposal to Hill 25 years after they tied the knot. “25 years later and it's still the best day of my life. Thanks for going on this journey with me. Love you Faith ❤️,” McGraw captioned an Instagram video, explaining that it took him a “few times” to get his now-wife to accept his proposal."We had dated for a while. I actually asked her to marry me quite a few times and she kept saying no. She said, 'I'm not going to get involved with another country singer, it's just not going to work out,’” he remembered. McGraw decided to get down on one knee during a country music festival he was performing at, in hopes Hill would finally say yes. "They had these trailer houses set up. I'm getting ready to go onstage, and I had this sort of case that had this big mirror in it. She's standing there, and we're talking, and I said, 'Look, let's get married,'" he recalled. "And she says, 'You're asking me to marry you at a country music festival in a trailer house?' And I said, 'Well, it's pretty apropos if you think about it.' She goes, 'Are you serious?' And I said, 'Well, yeah, I'm serious.'" Before getting her answer, the country crooner had to head out on stage to do his set. When he returned, Hill wasn’t in the dressing room but he got his response. "I looked at the mirror. In lipstick it said, 'Yes! I'm gonna be your wife,'" McGraw said. "And we still have that mirror. And it was the best day of my life, that's for sure." Courtesy of Tim McGraw/Instagram

The couple star in the Yellowstone prequel series, 1883, which dropped its first trailer on November 7. It’s the first time the husband and wife, who play early settlers James and Margaret Dutton, have appeared together on the big screen. "To see my beautiful wife on horseback, firing guns, and having dirt all over her face, I just sit in awe. She's a strong woman, anyway,” McGraw told Entertainment Weekly days before the teaser was released. “[Creator] Taylor [Sheridan] said early on to me, 'Man, you'll just get on that horse. You're not scared of anything.' I said, 'I'm scared of one thing. She's right over there.'" 1883 premieres on Paramount+ December 19. Paramount+

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 12:09 PM PST

Heartbreak club. Not all celebrity couples got the fairy-tale ending they were hoping for in 2021, including Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley.

Us Weekly confirmed on January 7 that the Even Stevens alum and the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress had split after one month of dating.

The pair's breakup came amid LaBeouf's legal trouble with ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs, who accused the actor in December 2020 of "relentless abuse" while they were together. The Peanut Butter Falcon star said in a statement to The New York Times that "many of these allegations are not true" but accepted "accountability" for his past mistakes.

Us confirmed on January 18 that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas had called it quits after dating less than a year. The Deep Water costars were first linked in March 2020 after meeting on the set of their upcoming film.

"Ben and Ana were so close to each other," a source told Us following the breakup. "They have their issues, but still want to remain on good terms and keep a friendship."

Couples who met on reality TV shows also experienced heartache in 2021, with The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart winners Bri Stauss and Chris Watson announcing their split on January 19.

Love Island season 2 winners Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew separated the same month. Their breakup came three months after the show's finale aired.

Alice Evans, meanwhile, shocked many fans when she claimed in a since-deleted tweet on January 26 that her husband of 13 years, Ioan Gruffudd, told her "he is to leave his family" without any further explanation. The Titanic actor and Evans later shared a joint statement to Us, saying, "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

The Mentalist's Simon Baker and Rebecca Rigg called it quits after 29 years of marriage in late January, saying in a joint statement that they "remain close friends and our three children will always be the most important focus of our lives."

For more celebrity relationship news, listen to Us Weekly spill the details of Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum romance rumors!

And after finishing her "year of health" in December 2020, Rebel Wilson revealed via an Instagram post in February 2021 that she was single after dating Jacob Busch for more than a year.

"They talked all throughout the holidays and had excellent communication, but then, all of a sudden, she got really quiet and broke up with him via text message about two or three weeks ago," a source exclusively told Us on February 4, confirming the breakup.

Machine Gun Kelly on His Mental Health Struggles: ‘It’s OK to Not be OK’

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 11:08 AM PST

Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and more stars have shined a light on what it's really like to deal with mental health issues in the spotlight.

Being in the public eye is part of the job when becoming a star, but it can make it more difficult to navigate one's problems. Many stars, however, have used their platform to normalize mental health problems.

From sharing stories of postpartum depression to opening up about anxiety and suicidal thoughts, many of Hollywood's biggest names have become more vocal over the years about real-life struggles.

Ahead of welcoming her first child with Orlando Bloom, Perry got real about facing bouts of depression and self-doubt in the past during an August 2020 interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe. Following her 2017 breakup and Witness album releases, Perry revealed she became "clinically depressed and had to get on medication for the first time in my life.”

The "Roar" singer said she was "so ashamed of it" when she started taking medication. "I was like, ‘I’m Katy Perry. I wrote ‘Firework.’ I’m on medication. This is f—ed up,'" she recalled. The musician later learned how to "quiet it the f—k down" when it came to public criticism and went on a two year "psychological, spiritual, emotional journey."

In April 2020, Gomez revealed that she has bipolar disorder and explained that by knowing that truth about herself she was able to feel more at ease.

"When I have more information, it actually helps me, it doesn't scare me once I know it," the "Rare" singer said on an episode of Bright Minded: Live With Miley. "When I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it and it took the fear away."

Kristen Bell shared her own mental health journey during an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist in November 2019, noting that she felt "incredibly irresponsible" for not speaking out sooner.

"Everyone thinks there's some shame in it," the Frozen star said at the time. "I am someone who takes a medication for her anxiety and depression. I am someone who has to check myself and sometimes — if I'm feeling really low — make a checklist of good and bad things in my life to see if it's my mental state or if we really have a problem. And me talking about that actually came from [my husband, Dax Shepard]."

Demi Lovato, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Jon Hamm have also opted not to hide their issues, instead speaking out about their past demons.

Scroll down to see what some stars have said about mental health.

Chase Stokes
The Outer Banks actor was was honored by Glenn Close and her Bring Change to Mind organization for his support of mental health awareness, and he opened up about struggling during his teen years. "I remember being 15 and having my first anxiety attack and not knowing how to process it and not knowing where it came from, and wishing I had an outlet to figure out how to understand those things," he said during his speech via E! Online. "This is not for me. This is for the 15-year-old Chase, who didn't know his place in society. And was not sure who he was." Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Will Poulter
The Dopesick star told E! News in November 2021 that he "really struggled" with his mental health throughout the coronavirus pandemic, thanking his Hulu family for being "very empathetic" as he worked through his ups and downs. "I'm very grateful to them for that," he added. JM Enternational/Shutterstock
Bella Hadid
The model took to Instagram in November 2021 to share a clip of Willow Smith discussing feeling "lost" and "confused" alongside several photos of herself crying. She urged followers to take care of their mental health. "Social media is not real. For anyone struggling, please remember that," she wrote in a lengthy caption at the time. "Sometimes all you’ve gotta hear is that you’re not alone. So from me to you, you’re not alone. I love you, I see you, and I hear you. Self help and mental illness/chemical imbalance is not linear and it is almost like a flowing rollercoaster of obstacles … there is always light at the end of the tunnel." She hinted at her own struggles with depression and anxiety, adding, "It took me a long time to get that in my mind, but I’ve had enough breakdowns and burnouts to know this: if you work hard enough on yourself, spending time alone to understand your traumas, triggers, joys, and routine, you will always be able to understand or learn more about your own pain and how to handle it. Which is all that you can ask of yourself. Anyways. Not sure why but it feels harder and harder to not share my truth on here. Thank you for seeing me and thank you for listening." Kirsten Dunst
The Fargo star recalled hitting a wall with her depression during her 20s. The “anger” led to Dunst entering a rehab facility and ultimately starting medication.  “I feel like most people around 27, the s--t hits the fan. Whatever is working in your brain, you can't live like that anymore mentally. I feel like I was angry,” she told The Sunday Times in November 2021. “All I'll say is that medication is a great thing and can really help you come out of something. I was afraid to take something and so I sat in it for too long.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Megan Thee Stallion
The rapper reflected on losing her mother in March 2019 after a battle with brain cancer. “I’ve lost both of my parents,” she said on Peace of Mind With Taraji in October 2021, also referring to her father’s death when she was a teenager. “Now I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, who do I talk to? What do I do?’ I just started learning that it’s OK to ask for help. It’s OK to want to go get therapy.” She continued: “As a Black person, and when you think of therapy, you think of, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m weak,’ you think of medication, and you just think the worst. That’s kind of what you see on TV too; like, therapy wasn’t even presented in the media as something that was good. Now it’s becoming safe to say, ‘All right now, there’s a little too much going on. Somebody help me.’” Michele Eve Sandberg/Shutterstock
JoJo
Although the singer works hard to stay on top of her mental health, she admitted that returning to antidepressants initially wasn't her first choice. "I've just been trying to deal day by day. To be honest with you, one of the things that I did — I judged myself a little bit for this, but I got back on antidepressants," JoJo detailed in an interview with Very Well Mind in September 2021. "I wanted to believe that I could clean up my diet, and get out in the sun, and write in my journal, and meditate and do yoga and just be okay. But I needed a little lift." Looking back on it now, the performer doesn't feel bad about needing "a little help." "I'm not ashamed that I did that. It was an important turning point for me," she added.  ETIENNE LAURENT/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
Olivia Rodrigo
The “Driver’s License” crooner opened up about prioritizing her mental health amid fame during an interview with Vogue Singapore, published in September 2021. “I’m taking [fame] one step at a time,” the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star told the magazine. “It can be really tough on your mental health, though. I’m grateful for the people who like me for me, and keep me separated from all the noise and tabloids or what people are saying about me on social media. That’s always been a top priority. It’s funny how recognition changes everything and also changes nothing in your life. The problems I was having a year ago are still the problems I’m having now, and things that brought me joy a year ago are still the things that bring me joy now. It’s just another aspect of life that you need to learn how to deal with, but it doesn’t change who you are as a person." Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Candace Cameron Bure
The Full House alum opened up about how she handles her depression in September 2021. She said in addition to the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, being a working mom and traveling actress can mess with her emotions. “Really another big part why fitness is important for me is it’s so beneficial to my mental health,” Cameron Bure explained in an interview with The Salvation Army. “I not only juggle my family but also work in a lot of different capacities. It can get really difficult. The travel can get strenuous as well. I need to keep my mental health clear. Just sweating that out and all those endorphins really help me a lot. I notice a huge difference when I don’t exercise, how much it can affect me mentally and kind of deal with depression.” Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Owen Wilson
In a rare interview, Wilson opened up about how struggles from his childhood went unaddressed. “As a kid, there’s a lot of things that you think about. Death — that kind of landed with me when I was about 11,” the actor explained to Esquire in August 2021. “And I don’t remember ever talking with my parents about it.” Wilson, who attempted suicide in August 2007, said that he tried to speak with his parents at the time. “Although I do remember one time saying to my dad — and I remember exactly where in the house — saying, ‘I worry about dying,’ and seeing my dad turn away and catch himself," he recalled. "And I was surprised to see that reaction. But who knows, maybe that was part of why I said it.” Since then, Wilson shared that he’s in a “lucky place” when it comes to his mental health, "feeling pretty appreciative" now. "I know everything’s kind of up and down, but when you get on one of these waves, you’ve gotta ride it as long as you can,” he noted at the time. “I’ve just felt — yeah. Feeling pretty grateful. Well, grateful’s one of those words that get used all the time. Appreciative. Of, you know, stuff.” Action Press/Shutterstock
Lil Wayne
"When I was told that I couldn't have what I wanted, what I dream of, what I desired, and that was to rap. I was willing to die for it," the Grammy winner recalled during an episode of "Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man" in August 2021, going into detail about attempting suicide when he was 12. "[I] aimed for my heart. How I knew I had mental health problems was I pulled the trigger." Police arrived at the scene, and although the musician was badly injured, he survived. "There is no bar to measure how real. [Mental health is] real," he said. "It's so real that if someone even has the guts, the heart, the bravery, whatever to at least admit that they have something going on up there that they're not sure about, it's so real that we should only react in the realest way possible." Oliver Hudson
In August 2021, Hudson shared a throwback photo of himself with a powerful caption. "Listen kid.. you’re [sic] future’s gonna be good but you’re gonna have to go on antidepressants," he wrote. "Shouldn’t be much of a surprise with that stupid face you’re making.. anyway, good look." Skip Bolen/Fox
Bella Hadid
The model admitted that she struggles with "insane social anxiety" that only got worse when she became a public figure. "Partying is not my thing, but I felt enormous pressure to project that image because I assumed that's all people wanted from me," Hadid told Vogue in August 2021. "Now I don't want to live in that box. I definitely feel like I'm allowed to speak." Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock
Jessica Mulroney
“I’ve struggled with anxiety and social anxiety my whole life. I’ve masked it many times and this year has been heavy for all of us,” the stylist wrote via Instagram in August 2021. “Know there is hope. I’ve found it through sobriety and therapy. My life is happy again. I wish this for you all. Thank you for your love this year.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Kit Harington
In August 2021, the British actor opened up about how his 2019 stay in rehab was beneficial for his mental health as well as his physical health. “I went through some mental health difficulties after [Game of] Thrones — and during the end of Thrones, to be honest — and I think it was directly to do with the nature of the show and what I’ve been doing for years,” he said during an interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show. “I think I took a sort of break after Thrones where I said, ‘I don’t want to work for a year. I want to really kind of concentrate on myself.' I’m really happy I did that.” Later that month, he detailed his "traumatic" struggles in an interview with the Sunday Times, sharing that some of his troubles included alcohol. “You get to a place where you feel like you are a bad person, you feel like you are a shameful person. And you feel that there’s no way out, that’s just who you are. And getting sober is the process of going, ‘No, I can change,'" he said of his state of mind before going to rehab in 2019, admitting that he experienced suicidal thoughts. "I will give you an answer to that question: the answer is yes. Yes of course. I went through periods of real depression where I wanted to do all sorts of things. ... I definitely don’t want to be seen as a martyr or special. I’ve been through something, it’s my stuff. If it helps someone, that’s good." KCS Presse/MEGA
Willow Smith
Smith’s May 2021 performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon triggered memories of an anxiety attack she had before a live performance of “Whip My Hair” when she was younger. "I was doing the Jimmy Fallon performance and I had a flashback of being, like, 10 or 9 and, like, having an anxiety attack on set,” Smith explained on a July 2021 episode of “The Yungblud Podcast” for BBC Sounds. “And basically feeling like everyone around me was just, 'You're just a brat… Why aren't you grateful? You're having an anxiety attack,' but they didn't see it as an anxiety attack. They saw it like a tantrum.” The “Transparent Soul” singer explained that she needed to “take time” to process those feelings after reliving the attack. "I need to go into a little meditation," the “Transparent Soul” singer said. "I need to separate myself from the situation a little bit and kind of tell myself, 'You're not 9. You're a grown ass woman.' … And so I have to retrain my mind. So, my mental health is in a very fragile state, but I think it's a state where it's about to grow in a really awesome way.” Janet Mayer/Startraksphoto.com
Olivia Munn
The Newsroom alum had a powerful conversation about depression and overcoming suicidal thoughts during a July 2021 appearance on The Demi Lovato Show. "For people who deal with depression, like you and me, and who can have suicidal thoughts, anytime you get to that place and it seems like things are too tough and you just can't take it anymore, just ask yourself if you can hold on another day," Munn told Lovato. The Oklahoma native noted that if someone takes their own life then it’s “game over” and you’ll never see what could happen in the future. "The pain is really tough. I know, you know. We've been there,” she continued. “But if I had ended my life when I wanted to, there is so much I would have missed. And that's what's worth staying for.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Simone Biles
The gymnastics champion withdrew from both the team and all-around finals during the Tokyo Olympics in July 2021. “After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in order to focus on her mental health,” USA Gymnastics said in a statement at the time. “Simone will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether or not to participate in next week’s individual event finals.” After her exit, Team USA went on to earn the silver medal during the team finals, which Biles claimed they might not have earned had she not withdrawn from the competition. “After that vault, I was like: ‘I’m not in the right headspace, I’m not going to lose a medal for this country and for these girls’ because they worked way too hard for me to go out there and have them lose a medal,” the Dancing With the Stars alum said in a press conference at the time. Holly Madison
The model opened up about her body dysmorphia struggles while she lived at the Playboy Mansion in a candid July 2021 TikTok video. "So for a recent post, I was looking for pictures of myself in a bunny costume and I came across one. It reminded me of a moment in my life where I was watching a playback of myself in a fashion show and I thought, 'Oh, my God, I need to lose weight,'" Madison explained in the video, alongside a photo of her from 2005. "[I] thought I had gained weight, and thought I hadn't stuck to my diet, and I thought my thighs were huge and I thought, 'I need to lose five pounds at least,’ and that's ridiculous. I look like a stick." In the video, Madison hoped by sharing her story that others can realize the “off the charts” effects of body dysmorphia. “It's not worth it,” she continued. “It’s not worth feeling bad about yourself. Like, there are things we all want to improve about ourselves, but it's not even worth taking the time to be miserable.” Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Naomi Osaka
The tennis star opened up for the first time in July 2021 after mental health issues caused her to drop out of the French Open two months prior. In an essay published by Time, she wrote that she “felt pressure” to disclose her symptoms at the time and worried that people “did not believe [her].” Osaka also mentioned that she thinks every athlete deserves "the right to take a mental break from media scrutiny on a rare occasion without being subject to strict sanctions." After saying she wouldn’t do press for the French Open in May 2021, she received a $15,000 fine. "In any other line of work, you would be forgiven for taking a personal day here and there, so long as it's not habitual. You wouldn't have to divulge your most personal symptoms to your employer; there would likely be HR measures protecting at least some level of privacy," she wrote. "I feel uncomfortable being the spokesperson or face of athlete mental health as it’s still so new to me and I don’t have all the answers. I do hope that people can relate and understand it’s OK to not be OK, and it’s OK to talk about it. There are people who can help, and there is usually light at the end of any tunnel." Ben Higgins
"I am back in Indiana right now because of a breakdown, again, in my life where I don't know what's happening," the season 20 Bachelor admitted to Trista Sutter during a July 2021 episode of her "Better Etc." podcast. "I don't know what this next season of life looks like for me. I'm farther and farther removed from the show, and at the same time, I need to figure out what my life is going to look like and what my legacy is going to be." The reality star explained that fame altered his mental health over time, but that he was looking forward to a new chapter in his life even if it came with fear. "It's also really hard," he said. "I'm at a low place, I don't see myself as this thriving figure right now. I'm kind of lamenting and separating myself from a lot of things that I held close." ABC/Craig Sjodin
Annie Murphy
The Kevin Can F--k Himself star opened up to The Zoe Report in June 2021 about her struggle with depression. At the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Annie Murphy flew home to Canada right as lockdown orders were set in place. She revealed, “My mom was like, ‘You're crying 12 times a day hysterically, to the point where your teeth are chattering. That's not normal.’” From there, she met with a therapist who diagnosed her with depression. “I was like, ‘Damn it, I'm depressed.” With the help of regular therapy and antidepressants, the Emmy Award winner revealed she doesn’t cry every day and can focus on other things in her life. She added, “You don't have to be on drugs for the whole time, but they truly, truly saved my life in the sense that I was not a functional human being and I was able to be a functional human being.” Nina Westervelt/Shutterstock
T-Pain
The "Buy U a Drank" rapper revealed in June 2021 that some harsh criticism from Usher caused his mental health to take a negative turn. "Usher was my friend," the Florida native recalled of the 2013 conversation during Netflix's This Is Pop. "I really respect Usher. And he said, 'I'm gonna tell you something, man. You kinda f--ked up music.' ... I chuckled a little bit, it was a nervous chuckle. I didn't understand, you know?" The comment left a big impression on T-Pain. "That is the very moment, and I don't even think I realized this for a long time," he shared. "But that's the very moment that started a four-year depression for me." Lana Condor
The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star got real about her battle with anxiety in June 2021. “Some days my anxiety really gets me and I need to lay in bed & be alone until the trembling stops. And that is absolutely OK!” she tweeted at the time. “I charge [very] introverted so that I can expel extroverted energy at my job. And that’s also OK. Take care of yourself and please be kind to yourself.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Ryan Reynolds
The Deadpool star opened up about his ongoing battle with anxiety as a part of Mental Health Awareness month in May 2021. “One of the reasons I’m posting this so late is I over schedule myself and important things slip. And one of the reasons I over schedule myself is my lifelong pal, anxiety,” Reynolds wrote via Instagram just days before the month ended. “I know I’m not alone and more important, to all those like me who over schedule, overthink, overwork, over-worry and over-everything, please know you’re not alone.” The Proposal actor concluded: “We don’t talk enough about mental health and don’t do enough to destigmatize talking about it. But, as with this post, better late than never, I hope …” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Goldie Hawn
In a May 2021 interview with Good Morning Britain, the Oscar winner spoke about struggling with depression when she was in her early 20s. "I was 21 and I was rising to success," she recalled. "I know it sounds terrible, but it's a very, very difficult thing — I didn't necessarily want that. Now in doing so, I was very depressed. And I had a lot of these issues where I couldn't even go outside in public. This is something I worked through. I went to a doctor. I went to a psychologist." The Private Benjamin star added that she hadn't really planned to become famous — she originally moved to Hollywood to become a dancer — and was surprised when she became a household name. "Unfortunately, I didn't want to be a big deal," she shared. "I wanted to go home." Dave Allocca/Starpix/Shutterstock
Dan Levy
The Schitt's Creek cocreator and star opened up about his lifelong battle with anxiety during a December 2020 interview with Bustle, revealing that his mental health struggles came with a few physical side effects. "I think that came from a deep-rooted fear of knowing that I was gay and not being able to be free," Levy said at the time. "By the time I got to high school, when your brain is starting to catch up to your physical impulses, it led to a very confusing time. Because on the one hand, you are now being introduced to things like self-awareness and anxiety. At the same time, you’re becoming more and more savvy when it comes to hiding it."   While social situations caused a serious amount of stress, Levy found an escape in school plays. "I was starting to develop a sense of confidence by way of being able to entertain people," he explained. "It was like a decoy version of myself that I was putting out there to not have to live with the reality that when the bullying was happening ... they were speaking the truth." Hannah Brown
The Bachelorette alum posted three photos showing her dancing as she marked World Mental Health Day in October 2020. The former beauty queen recalled the time she went to see a doctor before going into her junior year of college, when the physician asked her a simple question: "Are you happy, Hannah?" "I will never forget that seemingly simple question that came with a heavy answer," she wrote. "I'm the girl that is always wearing a smile! How dare he ask?! But oh, thank God he did." "'No…. I'm not. I don't even remember the last time I felt happy. And I don't know why. I have reason to be happy, but I just can't really feel it,' I said through broken words passing through the lumps of emotions that had felt indefinitely lodged in my throat," the Dancing With the Stars champ admitted. "I couldn't keep up the act anymore. For years, I silently struggled internally as I was externally championed as the one who always seemed happy. I honestly think that day in the doctor's office was the first time someone asked me if I was indeed, happy." "Admitting I wasn't okay, and acknowledging my silent, hostage struggle with anxiety and depression through my crocodile tears was a pivotal day for me," she continued. "I have made big leaps of progress in healing and understanding 'its okay not to be okay', with important tools and support to help manage the thoughts and feelings that take over and store within me. But several times in my progress, I have had setbacks; many being the overflow of not observing, in private, the gradual buildup of the hurtful, impactful emotions which consequently spewed into some, more public, relapses of destructive behavior. " Brown added that it's important to remember that "progress in mental health is a journey with hills and valleys. Our whole world has been through a valley of fear and hurt this year. Be gentle with yourself. Be humble during the process. You aren't going to always get it right and you will make mistakes, but you—just as you are, are enough. You matter. Ask for help. You are worthy of being able to answer the 'are you happy?' question and to say yes, regardless of the circumstances that would usually take your mind and soul captive. You got this. We've got this. You aren't alone." Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Aly Raisman
The Olympic gold medalist spoke out publicly for the first time in October 2020 about her struggles with OCD during an episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast. "I always thought OCD was I have to touch this x amount of times or I have to do this x amount of times before I leave the room, but I've also learned that OCD is classified with ruminating thoughts or obsessive thoughts or catastrophic thinking," she explained to host Dax Shepard. "I have that and I'm really trying to work on that right now because sometimes our minds go to our worst-case scenario. " The gymnast revealed that it’s not as easy as simply telling yourself to have a positive mindset. "I feel like for people who don't understand it, they're like, ‘Just don't think about it.' It does not work like that!" she said. "It's so hard because I've been trying to really educate myself on how our minds work just so I can help myself but also just so I can better talk about it and better understand it on a personal level with my family or my friends but also on a public level as well." The Fierce author has continually tried to educate herself on OCD and chose to discuss her personal struggles in hopes of helping others who suffer from the same thing. "So much of the time, our minds don't really realize what's made up and what's real and that's what I struggle with so much is that fight or flight response where it can be something so small and my body is reacting as if a tiger is trying to eat me," she explained. "In my opinion, it relates to trauma and PTSD. Unless you're getting to the root of the problem of why you are not feeling safe or out of control, you're going to keep having OCD and it's going to manifest into other ways of your life." Noah Cyrus
Cyrus celebrated the two-year anniversary of her first EP, “Good Cry” in September 2020, and revealed all of the ups and downs she’s experienced since its release. “I’ve been through so much since then. Putting this ep out and going on tour during one of the most depressive times in my life was so hard,” the musician explained via Instagram. “Every day felt like lifting 100lb weights just to get out of bed. The ache in my chest from the pain felt unbearable. At 18 I didn’t think I was going to be here for a 20th birthday soon to be 21. They felt 1000 years away.” The “Again” singer revealed that she was “so sad, so hurt and so scared” during that time before thanking those who were by her side “during all of my progression and the times where I felt like I was regressing.” Cyrus continued: “Every day is work when it comes to your mental health and personal battles. Not every day is going to be hell and not every day is going to be perfect. I’m still figuring that out. Thank you Cyrens for being patient.”  The “July” artist thanked her fans for “understanding” how “hard” it was for Cyrus to grow up in the public eye, before going into more detail about how important the EP is to her. “I always have written nothing but the truth and this ep was exactly that. I still stand with needing a good f--kin cry every once in awhile. I know that pain is something we HAVE to feel and experience,” she continued. “I owe this album so much. It tought [sic] me so much about myself... and looking back at myself then to show I am now I just want to run back in time and give that Noah a huge ass hug.. as she was breaking ever so slowly. I’m so happy that I was able to create something that everyone relates to... I turned the pain into something beautiful that others can sing, cry, or smile to and nothing makes me feel more purposeful than that. I love you all thank you so much for everything.” Steve Meddle/Shutterstock
Millie Bobby Brown
The Emmy nominee opened up about her struggle with anxiety during a candid interview with Glamour UK in August 2020, noting that staying creative helps change her mood. "When I'm having a bad day or I’m feeling very anxious, some things like when people say, 'Oh, you looked bad at this award show because you looked like this or you looked like that,' those things make me a little bit more anxious and that hinders me a little bit more," she said. "I have learned to manage it in ways that a lot of people learn to manage things like breathing exercises or distracting your mind and my hobbies help distract me from being anxious. ... I have to give myself love because that’s important. Everyone has to empower themselves." David Fisher/Shutterstock
Katy Perry
The “Roar” singer revealed during an August 2020 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that during her 30s she hit a wall when she was no longer able to fix her bouts of depression by writing songs about her pain. "I broke up with my boyfriend. My expectations weren't met and the world didn't want to hear from me anymore at that moment," she said looking back at the years in her life that “everything changed” for her. "They were like, 'That's enough. Thank you very much. You've given us something and we're good.' And I just couldn't get out of bed for weeks and became clinically depressed and had to get on medication for the first time in my life." Perry explained that once she was on medication she was “so ashamed of it. I was like, 'I'm Katy Perry. I wrote 'Firework.' I'm on medication. This is f---ed up.'" The singer’s upcoming Smile album gave her the professional and personal comeback she needed. "The last two-and-a-half years have been a psychological, spiritual, emotional journey of just pulling the petrified poison out of my body and rewiring my neural pathways and that negative thought ticker that keeps coming says, 'You're just lucky. You're just cute. You're not really good. You're not very talented. You're lucky. You're just lucky,' or, 'You're not worth it. You're not good enough. You're getting old. You're fat,' all that s--t," she recalled. "I figured out how to quiet it the f---k down.” imageSPACE/Shutterstock
Tallulah Willis
In July 2020, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis shared her battle with depression and suicidal thoughts. “A lethal combination of untreated severe chemical imbalance/depression, harmful coping mechanisms and certain debilitating traumas has me questioning if I wanted to continue this life,” she wrote via Instagram. “To have suicidal ideation to me, is to feel there is an unpredictable and unstoppable threat living within your body. In far too often moments, I felt the pain was too overwhelming to keep going. I begged to be saved from my own mind. I am unfathomably lucky that by some unseen force I did not take action on these thoughts.” Tallulah urged those who are “hurting or questioning harming themselves” to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. Paris Jackson
After moving in with her grandmother after her dad's death in 2009, the model/musician turned down a dark path. "I gained a lot of weight and food became an addiction," Jackson revealed during an episode of her Unfiltered: Paris Jackson & Gabriel Glenn series in June 2020. "And then a cousin called me fat and I was like, 'OK, I can't do that anymore.' And that's how I fell into self-harm." Jackson explained that she would physical hurt herself as a "distraction from emotional pain" and that she tried to take her own life "many times." While she continues to take "baby steps" on her journey to self-love, she admitted that she wants to be an advocate for "self-acceptance and courage and being comfortable in your own skin." The Oscar winner shared in July 2020 that she suffered from anxiety. “For me, my baseline has been I’m an introvert with asthma. Like, that’s been my story for myself. I’m introverted, I’m scared, I have social anxiety,” she explained in a YouTube video on her channel. “And through, in particular, playing Captain Marvel, that like kind of wiped clean those titles I had for myself and made me go, ‘Whoa, I’m not really that anymore.’” Shutterstock
Kelly Clarkson
“I suffer from depression,” the American Idol alum told Demi Lovato on The Kelly Clarkson Show in June 2020 in the midst of her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. “I think a lot of people, especially in the creative world, or just from childhood, you’ve been kind of trained to, like, just keep going and you can handle it. Especially as a woman, it’s like, ‘Don’t let ‘em see you sweat.’ ... I think that’s a daily thing that you work at and a daily thing that I work at.” YouTube
Selena Gomez
The “Rare” singer has been vocal about her struggles with depression and her mental health in the past, but she revealed in April 2020 that she has bipolar disorder. “Recently, I went to one of the best mental hospitals in the world … And I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things I realized that I was bipolar,” Gomez admitted on Bright Minded: Live With Miley. “When I have more information, it actually helps me, it doesn’t scare me once I know it … When I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it and it took the fear away.”  The Disney Channel alum added, “When I was younger, I was scared of thunderstorms and my mom bought me all these books on thunderstorms and she was like, ‘The more you educate yourself on this, the more that you’re not going to be afraid.’ It completely worked. That’s something that helps me big time.” Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Taraji P. Henson
“I suffer from depression,” the Empire star said in an April 2019 interview with Variety. “My anxiety is kicking up even more every day, and I’ve never really dealt with anxiety like that. It’s something new.” Henson also revealed that she talks to a therapist regularly: “Their job is to make sure you’re mentally sound, whatever that is, and telling you the truth, which might hurt. Sometimes your friends don’t want to hurt your feelings. If I’m going to change for the better, I need honesty, and sometimes your friends and family don’t have it in them to be brutally honest.” In a December 2019 interview with SELF, Henson elaborated on the telltale signs that she needed help: “I noticed the mood swings — like, one day I’d be up, and the next day I’d be down, feeling like I don’t want to go out in public. Almost agoraphobic, like, ‘Ugh, too much to deal with.’ Feeling really awkward in my skin, feeling out of sorts, and just down, like Debbie Downer, like a dark cloud. And then there would be days where my brain wouldn’t stop racing. I would think of the worst scenarios in the world, which would heighten my anxiety.” Michael Loccisano/Getty Images
Kaitlyn Bristowe
The former Bachelorette star opened up on her “Off the Vine” podcast in November 2019 about how she often suffers from debilitating anxiety and revealed that her dog has helped her cope. “[My anxiety] left me laying on the floor this one night in my house, not wanting to even talk to Jason until it passed,” she said, referencing her boyfriend Jason Tartick. “I felt my anxiety coming on — immediately went looking for my dog, Ramen, who is really the only one that keeps me calm when I experience being close to a panic attack and when I feel that pain or heat in my chest.” imageSPACE/Shutterstock
Kristen Bell
During a revealing interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist in November 2019, the Frozen 2 star opened up about feeling "incredibly irresponsible" for not being more honest about her mental health struggles in the past. “Everyone thinks there’s some shame in it ... I am someone who takes a medication for her anxiety and depression. I am someone who has to check myself and sometimes — if I’m feeling really low — make a checklist of good and bad things in my life to see if it’s my mental state or if we really have a problem. And me talking about that actually came from [my husband, Dax Shepard] — ugh, I hate to give him credit for everything, it’s so annoying that he’s so right about everything.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Tia Mowry
“I didn’t want to admit it,” the actress told Romper of her postpartum depression in November 2019. “It was that shame.” But after she opened up to her sister, husband and friends, they became her “support system.” She explained, “When I was sad or going through my emotions, I would talk about it. I didn’t suppress them. I think that helped.” Media Punch/INSTARimages.com
Shia LaBeouf
Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast in October 2019, the actor opened up about how his years as a Disney Channel star contributed to his mental health issues. “It was the first time I’d been told I had PSTD,” he said, recalling his experience in rehab after his 2017 arrest. “I just thought I was an alcoholic, like, a true-blue drunk and I needed to deal with that. I knew it was an issue but didn’t know there was this extra whole other thing that was hindering my ability to have any peace in my life and my ability to deal with people.” imageSPACE for the Mill Valley Film Festival/Shutterstock

“Sadly, I separated from my lovely first husband [Tony Walton]. And separations were always inevitable and the marriage was over and my head was so full of clutter and garbage. Believe it or not, it was [director] Mike Nichols who really tipped me into wanting to go to therapy,” the Sound of Music star recalled on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in October 2019. “He had been, and he was, so sane and funny and clear. He had a clarity that I admired so much. I wanted that for myself. And I didn’t feel I had it, so I went and got into it, and it saved my life, in a way.” Jim Smeal/Shutterstock

“I deleted this post earlier, because honestly I’m personally struggling with my mental health right now, and the words I wrote fell flat when I read them,” the Bachelor alum captioned an October 2019 Instagram post. “How could I say these things to others when I didn’t/don’t believe them about myself? I deleted the post, walked to the room down the hall, opened the door, and told Tanner, ‘I’m not OK.’ Lean on those you love, ask for help. You are not a burden.” Roper went on to tell Us exclusively, “As much as there is so much joy [in motherhood], there’s so much extra that’s sometimes overwhelming. Talk to your loved ones. Let them know what you’re going through because there is help and there is hope.” Courtesy of Jade Roper/Instagram

The grooming guru said: “I think learning to like your own company and making time to be quiet and spend time with yourself, even if that’s like a morning here or a night there, just having that time to be quiet with yourself, I think is really important.” Janet Mayer/Startraksphoto.com
Alanis Morissette
Two months after her son Winter’s August 2019 birth, the Grammy winner opened up about her third experience with postpartum depression. “PPD is still a sneaky monkey with a machete working its way through my psyche and body and days and thoughts and bloodwork levels,” Morissette wrote in a blog post. "[I've] been here before. ... The other side is greater than my PPD-riddled-temporarily-adjusted-brain could have ever imagined: as a mom, as an artist, as a wife, as a friend, as a collaborator, as a leader, as a boss, as an activist. I saw how things got richer after I came through it the last two times. I have my eye on that prize again even as I drag my ass through the molasses.” Courtesy of Alanis Morissette/Instagram

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed to fans in an Instagram Story in June 2019 that she's been to rehab twice for depression. “I started attracting negative people into my life because my thoughts were so negative,” she wrote in the post. “I got trapped in a severely unhealthy relationship that pushed me over the edge. I couldn’t get out of the relationship because I thought I was deserving of it.” After asking mom Lisa Rinna for help, Hamlin said that she was able to get the care she needed at a facility: “I worked through traumas, and self love [sic],” she recalled. “But most importantly I learned what self respect [sic] meant.” Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic
James Middleton
Duchess Kate and Pippa Middleton’s younger brother, James, opened up about his depression to Tatler magazine in June 2019, explaining that his struggles were in part due to pressures to live up to his famous siblings. "Suddenly, and very publicly, I was being judged about whether I was a success or a failure,” he said. The entrepreneur, who had previously discussed his struggles with the Daily Mail in January, added of his depression, “It’s what keeps you in bed, while anxiety makes you feel guilty for being there. I thought, ‘What do I have to be depressed about?’ I’ve been so lucky with my upbringing, I had all the things I wanted. It’s not that I wanted more, but there was something that wasn’t always there ... And the more I ignored it, the more it was taking over.’” James said that after undergoing therapy and stepping back from his position at his company Boomf to spend time on brother-in-law James Matthews’ Scottish estate in Glen Affric, he is doing better: “I am happy – I feel like James Middleton again. I feel like I was when I was 13, excited about life. I feel like myself again and I couldn’t ask for more." Sebastian Reuter/Getty Images for GQ Germany

Life will be easier. All the woes will be away, all the problems. Then I wouldn't have to fail or succeed, right? Then all this surmounting pressure would go away,” she said. It doesn’t,” she says in the ad. “It doesn’t make you weak to ask for a friend to go to a therapist. It shouldn’t make you feel weak to ask anyone for help. And you should be able to ask anyone for help, everyone has to help someone if they need it.” Rich Fury/Getty Images for Coachella

The Game of Thrones star opened about her struggle with mental illness on the “Happy Place” podcast in May 2019. “Last year, in my own personal life, I think I just went through a lot of real revelations where I was like I'm not very happy doing this and pretending everything was fine,” Williams explained. “And so, that wasn't a public thing, but after going through that, now I've sort of tried to be a lot more genuine and it just becomes a lot more relaxing after that, I think. You just drop it all and that's when you can really have fun." Although the British actress has made strides in her mental health journey, she sometimes struggles. ”I still lay in bed at like eleven o'clock at night telling myself all the things I hate about myself,” she noted. “There's still a journey, I think. I wasn’t feeling like myself and I couldn’t figure out why,” Sean said in a series of Instagram posts at the time. “I stepped back from everything I was doing, from everything I had going on because somewhere in the middle of it, I just felt lost. I started therapy. I got a good therapist. I was blessed enough to talk to some super spiritual people and they made me realize one thing that I was missing in my life. And one thing I was missing was clarity. Clarity about who was around me, what I was doing—even in music, which is my happiness, my joy, that was always an escape for me, was starting to feel like a burden.” Vivien Killilea/Getty Images for Roc Nation

The 41-year-old Skims founder gave her stamp of approval to the 28-year-old comedian’s upcoming New Year’s Eve special with Miley Cyrus. After the “Wrecking Ball” songstress, 29, announced the show with an Instagram photo where she jokingly pretended she and Davidson were a couple, Kardashian “liked” the post.

“BIG DEBUT ENERGY,” the Hannah Montana alum wrote on Thursday, December 9. “Pete & I are official! CO-HOSTS that is! Watch @fallontonight 🗽Our first show together as a pair! We'll be talking about #MileysNewYearsEveParty hosted by US in Miami!”

During the Thursday episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the “Malibu” songstress also dedicated a performance of Yvonne Fair’s “It Should Have Been Me” to the Saturday Night Live star, filling the 1975 tune with references to his relationship with Kardashian.

"Pete Davidson, this song is for you," she quipped. "When I saw those photos, this is what I played."

The King of Staten Island star and the KKW Beauty mogul were first linked in October after Kardashian made her SNL hosting debut earlier that month. The pair were spotted hanging out several times before a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the reality star was “falling for” the Meet Cute actor.

"He makes her feel good and she's excited to see what happens,” the insider added. "Everything flows well [when they're together].”

Last month, the pair seemingly confirmed their romance when they were photographed holding hands in Palm Springs, California. In the pictures, the duo were dressed casually as they strolled through a parking lot days after celebrating Davidson’s birthday alongside Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner.

Later in November, a source told Us that the relationship was a “positive transition” for the Selfish author after her split from Kanye West. The former couple, who called it quits in February after six years of marriage, share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.

"The past few years of Kim's life have been super intense a lot of the time,” the insider explained. "She's learning to move past day-to-day stresses and focus on the fun and sexy things."

The 44-year-old rapper, however, has been less enthusiastic about his estranged wife’s new relationship. During a concert on Thursday, the Grammy winner asked his ex to “run right back” to him.

In November, the Yeezy designer claimed that he had “never” seen divorce papers (Kardashian filed in February). "We're not even divorced," he said during an appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast. "So how we — because [it's] no joke to me, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents — I want us to be together.”
