| Emma Watson: Why I Almost Left the ‘Harry Potter’ Franchise Midway Posted: 29 Dec 2021 04:47 PM PST  Hogwarts without Hermione? Emma Watson opened up about why she almost walked away from the Harry Potter franchise after 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. “You were considering pulling out," Rupert Grint, who played Watson's friend and eventual love interest, Ron Weasley, said during a sneak peek of HBO Max's Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special via ET Canada. "I’ve never really spoken to you about that." Watson, 31, explained what made her second guess continuing as muggle Hermione for the final four films, saying, “I think I was scared. I don’t know if you ever felt like it got to a tipping point where you were like, ‘This is kind of forever now.'”  Daniel Radcliffe, who played wizard Harry Potter in all eight movies, noted that the young cast never really discussed the ups and downs associated with the franchise's massive success as it was happening. “We never really spoke about it. I guess we were just going through it at our own pace," the 32-year-old actor explained during the special alongside his longtime friends. "We were kind of in the moment at the time. It just didn’t really occur to us that we were all probably kind of having similar feelings.” The Beauty and the Beast actress noted that she felt "lonely" in her career at the time, adding, "The fame thing had finally hit home in a big way." Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco Malfoy in the franchise, backed up Watson's account of set life, explaining that she was the only girl a lot of the time. “People definitely forget what she took on and how gracefully she did it,” the 34-year-old English actor said. “Dan and Rupert, they had each other. I had my cronies, whereas Emma was not only younger, [but] she was by herself.” Grint, 33, said he understood where Watson was coming from was well, explaining that he questioned "what life would be like if I called it a day" on multiple occasions when they were growing up in the public eye. Ultimately, the Perks of Being a Wallflower actress chose to stay and film the last four installments of the hit films — and she doesn't regret the decision. “The fans genuinely wanted you to succeed, and we all genuinely have each other’s backs. How great is that?” she said, adding that "no one had to convince" her to remain playing the beloved magical character. Evanna Lynch — who played Luna Lovegood beginning with 2007's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix — exclusively told Us Weekly in June how warm Watson was to her when she joined the cast. "Emma was always so nice to me and made an effort to get to know me and make me feel at home, which was a huge deal coming from her," the 30-year-old Irish star said at the time. "And because I was such a big Harry Potter fan, I was very nervous around those three and intimidated by them." Lynch recalled rehearsing conversations to have with the three leads in order to be less anxious on set. "I was so nervous. So, I just remember her being really kind and making a lot of effort to make me feel at home," she said of the Little Women star. | MAFS' Ryan Speaks Out Amid Clara Divorce, Details Off-Camera Issues Posted: 29 Dec 2021 04:34 PM PST  Breaking his silence. Married at First Sight star Ryan Oubre shared his version of the events that led to his split from wife Clara Berghaus. The project manager, 30, opened up about his divorce from the flight attendant, 28, in a lengthy statement posted via Instagram on Wednesday, December 29. He began by saying that he decided to speak out because he didn’t want to “sit idly by” as “untruthful statements” were made about about his family and friends. “Getting married to a stranger is indescribable,” he wrote. “On one hand you fully trust the process and those involved and [on] the other, you think through what if this doesn’t work out.” Oubre and Berghaus met during season 12 of the Lifetime series, which aired earlier this year. When the reunion special aired in May, the duo were still together, but two months later, they announced their split. Though neither spouse hinted about what wrong at the time, Oubre’s new statement implied that he and Berghaus had off-camera issues that led to the breakup. “You can’t truly be open to marry another race and not want to marry their culture (or at least minimum understand it),” he wrote. “What I can say is: walking into a family gathering and not speaking to anyone and scrolling through your phone will never fly and declining food (outside of a food allergy or avoidance) because you don’t like the way it looks won’t help either.” The reality star went on to say how important it is that his potential partner understands how to navigate discussions of racism, especially if they want children. “By marrying into a different race/culture you inherently adopt parts of their identity,” he continued. “Most importantly, your kids 100% will, and your kids will need you to help navigate it. … Choosing not to attempt to understand and educate yourself is a red flag.” Oubre clarified that he didn’t intend the post as “an accusation of racism” against anyone. “We avoided having these conversations on camera as I knew this was a complex topic and did not want it to seem as I was weaponizing the camera against [Clara],” he explained. “I will own that — I intentionally derailed conversations or avoided them because I knew where it would go. We had enough of them off camera to know how it would go on camera.” The former Lifetime personality seemingly hinted that some of Berghaus’ social media posts made him want to share his side of the story. In September, the Atlanta resident posted a TikTok video of herself dancing as she signed her divorce papers. “Despite the months of weekly [marital] counseling sessions, and numerous conversations around these topics for months during/after the show that were ignored — it’s being used as content for clicks, likes, TikTok dances and the attention of the masses,” Oubre wrote. “Choosing to ignore having a conversation isn’t blindsiding, it’s called avoidance.” The Georgia native concluded by saying that “Clara is 1000% allowed to have her own belief system,” adding that he “no idea what was put on that questionnaire” that the MAFS experts use to match couples. “I can assuredly tell you that life outlook and religion were non negotiable for me,” he noted. Last month, Berghaus claimed via a TikTok video that Oubre "made it very clear" that he felt "he was more committed to our marriage than I was." She said that was one of the reasons she decided to change her last name after their marriage. After months of back-and-forth, she still hasn’t been able to get her maiden name restored, but is still trying. "I'm not looking for attention from a man who I also don't really want anything to do with, and I'm dating other people,” she added. “So, yes, sometimes I'm looking for attention from men, but not that man." |

"A man won't know what he is really capable of until he FACES what SCARES him," the message shared by the Skims founder, 41, on Wednesday, December 29, read. "Fear exists NOT to stop you. Fear exists to make you STRONGER and BRAVER. Approach every problem and challenge with the attitude that it's happening to help you GROW." Kim did not provide any context for the quote. While Khloé, 37, frequently shares similar cryptic messages via her Instagram account, it is unusual for her older sister to do so. The post comes amid the KKW Beauty founder's ongoing divorce from Kanye West, with whom she shares daughter North, 8, son Saint, 6, daughter Chicago, 3, and son Psalm, 2. The pair split in February after six years of marriage. Kim has since moved on with Pete Davidson after they connected when she hosted an October episode of Saturday Night Live. The couple confirmed they are dating in November when they were spotted holding hands in Palm Springs, California. "Kim and Pete are getting serious. | Avicii's Last Words Before 2018 Death Revealed in Letters to 'Future' Self Posted: 29 Dec 2021 02:31 PM PST More than three years after his death, Avicii‘s final words have been revealed. The DJ (real name Tim Bergling) died by suicide at age 28 in April 2018. Journalist Måns Mosesson explores the musician’s life and legacy in the upcoming book Tim – The Official Biography of Avicii, which features some of the Sweden native’s heartbreaking journal entries from his stays in various treatment facilities. “It needed to be explained to me very logically and caveman-esque for me to truly understand its nature and how it was harming me. Ouch, pain. Why me pain now? Uncomfortable feeling,” the musician wrote while at the Ibiza Calm rehab center in 2015 after his family held an intervention. “Future Tim deal with pain. Future Tim deal with pain better than present Tim because already there’s too many present pains more urgent to deal with.” In another message, he wrote, “I had a hard time accepting never drinking again though strongly suggested from all doctors to wait at least a year before even having a beer. … Of course, I didn’t listen to the majority of the doctors, I listened to the couple who said it was OK if I was careful. I was ignorant and naive and touring the world, still on the never-ending tour — because once you’ve circled it once, guess what?” The “Levels” artist continued: “You start right back over again. Those days in hospital were the most anxiety and stress-free days I can remember the past six years, those were my true vacations, as depressing as it might sound.” After detailing some of the aspects of recovery that were “a little bit scary,” his final diary entry read, “The shedding of the soul is the last attachment, before it restarts!” In the years leading up to his death, the Grammy nominee faced a handful of health setbacks, including his 2012 hospitalization for acute pancreatitis, which was reportedly caused by excessive drinking. Two years later, he underwent surgery to remove his appendix and gallbladder. By 2016, he was forced to retire from performing live due to poor health. A documentary was released in October 2017, during which Avicii expressed concerns about his wellbeing. “I have been very open with everyone I work with and everyone who knows me,” he said in Avicii: True Stories, which was available on Netflix. “Everyone knows that I have anxiety and that I have tried. I did not expect that people would try to pressure me into doing more gigs.” At the time, the “Tough Love” artist told the cameras, “They have seen how ill I have felt by doing it, but I had a lot of push-back when I wanted to stop doing gigs. I have told them this. I won’t be able to play anymore. I have said, like, ‘I’m going to die.’ I have said it so many times. And so, I don’t want to hear that I should entertain the thought of doing another gig.” Avicii was laid to rest in June 2018. Two months prior, his family vowed to keep his “memory alive” and thanked fans for their support. “Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. … He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness,” his loved ones noted in an April 2018 statement. “He could now not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight. Tim, you will forever be loved and sadly missed. One Tree Hill hooked viewers in with its dramatic story lines — but the cast's real-life friendships are what keeps fans talking about the teen series nearly 20 years after its premiere. "We've known each other for almost two decades now. Our friendships have changed immeasurably," Sophia Bush exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2020 of her dynamic with BFFs — and former costars — Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz. "We've been through so many stages of life together. But I think something that we really cherish — Hilarie and I were talking about this not too long ago — is just having, interestingly enough, as we've all gotten older, having our friendships deepen even more." Bush, Burton and Lenz played high schoolers Brooke Davis, Peyton Sawyer and Haley James Scott, respectively, on the CW series, which premiered in 2003. While the show ended in 2012 after nine seasons, the women's bond has remained intact. "We all got to go through this wild ride together and it's a thing that's ours. No one else can really share it with us in the way that we can," Bush, who cohosts the "Drama Queens" podcast with her two pals told Us. "It's such a special thing to leave a journey like that and maintain really deep and trusted connections and we all are able to support each other and inspire each other and it's something I just really cherish." Through the years, the show's leading ladies aren't the only ones who've kept in touch. The teen drama — which followed the lives of half-brothers Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and their complex relationship as basketball players and siblings — also created long-lasting friendships among the show's male actors. Lafferty and Stephen Colletti (who played Chase Adams), for example, reunited in 2020 to write, produce and star on Hulu's Everyone Is Doing Great. “We lived enough life to realize and look back on our lives since One Tree Hill had actually ended to say things have been absurd and difficult and wonderful at the same time, enough for us to find some real humor here and a story to tell,” Lafferty told Entertainment Weekly at the time of the show, which is loosely based on their real-life experiences since leaving the teen series. “And we built some characters around some of these experiences that we’ve had or this world that we’ve been exposed to, and what we ended up doing was finding a story that both of us could really relate to.” One Tree Hill also starred Lee Norris (Marvin "Mouth" McFadden), Paul Johansson (Dan Scott), Antwon Tanner (Antwon "Skills" Taylor), Barbara Alyn Woods (Deb Scott), Jackson Brundage (Jamie Scott), Moira Kelly (Karen Rose), Barry Corbin (Whitey) and Craig Sheffer (Keith Scott). | Justin Hartley: I 'Wasn't Available' When I Was Introduced to Wife Sofia Posted: 29 Dec 2021 01:03 PM PST More than four years after meeting on set, Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas found love after heartbreak. News broke in November 2019 that the This Is Us star filed for divorce from Chrishell Stause after two years of marriage. While he listed their date of separation as July 8, 2019, the Selling Sunset star marked the end of their marriage as November 22, 2019, the same day Hartley filed the paperwork. "The divorce filing was a big surprise to everyone around Justin and Chrishell in terms of their friends," a source told Us Weekly at the time, noting that the actor "had been having problems with the marriage for a while." Stause, for her part, claimed on her Netflix reality show that she was blindsided by the filing. "I'm just kind of in shock with it all," she said in the season 3 teaser. "It's just a lot all at once because everybody in the whole world knows. I love him so much. This was my best friend. Who do I talk to now?" After Stause's costar Christine Quinn claimed that the former couple were in "in therapy" and "having communication problems for a while" before their split, the All My Children alum fired back. "[Christine] knows absolutely nothing about the situation and is obviously desperate to gain attention by doing so," she tweeted in July 2020. "Anything from her is either a complete lie or total conjecture on her part. … She has absolutely zero knowledge of the marriage we had." For David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, it was getting into character as Rachel Green and Ross Geller, respectively, that sparked something for the costars. "The first season, I had a major crush on Jen," Schwimmer shared during the May 2021 Friends reunion special on HBOMax. Aniston revealed that the feelings were “reciprocated” while filming the original series, which aired from 1994 to 2004. Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young's whirlwind love story is too cute for words. The twosome first crossed paths on the 4th of July in 2019 when they were boating with mutual friends in Newport Beach, California. Later that month, El Moussa and Young were seen getting cozy on a boat in Redondo Beach, California. The Flip or Flop star went on to confirm their relationship that August via Instagram. At the time, he shared a photo of the duo alongside a sweet message about how he was able to find happiness in love. "I'll be honest and say I never thought I would meet someone special in my life after the last three years. Then … out of the blue @heatherraeyoung walked into my life," he explained. "The first time I saw her smile she 'did that thing to my tummy' and I knew right away I needed to get to know her … so I asked her out!! She said yes El Moussa continued, "In life, you can't predict the future! I couldn't predict [my] divorce! I couldn't predict two cancers! I couldn't predict my back injury! Wylie was part of a litter rescued from the side of the street by the incredible @wagmorpets,” The Rookie actress, 41, wrote via Instagram on December 2. “He is the perfect fur baby birthday gift from @stevekazee and the best holiday gift for our family. We are in love!!” Dewan, who has used Wagmor Pets in the past for adopting, played a role in picking out the family’s new member despite Wylie being a gift from her fiancé. “Steve and Jenna have been long time friends and supporters,” Wagmor Pets owner Melissa Bacelar exclusively told Us Weekly. “They are huge dog lovers and would never consider anything but adoption when looking for a new family member. Steve has been DMing for the past couple of months about puppies. His dog [Violet] passed away recently and he has been slowly contemplating the idea of a new baby.” Bacelar noted that she’s also met the family. The Broadway star, 46, has brought the couple’s 21-month-old son, Callum, to meet the pups, as well as Everly, Dewan’s 8-year-old daughter whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum.  “This time he asked Jenna to come in too.
