Kanye West Suggests That God Will Reunite Him With Kim Kardashian Posted: 24 Nov 2021 04:49 PM PST ![]() He still has hope. Kanye West made a public declaration about his divorce from Kim Kardashian amid her new romance with Pete Davidson. The rapper, 44, gave a speech about his marriage and his family while visiting Skid Row on Wednesday, November 24. "The narrative that God wants is for you to see that everything can be redeemed," he said in a video obtained by Page Six. "In all these relationships, we've made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason — I didn't know I was going to be standing right here, I didn't know I was going to be in front of this mic — but I'm here to change that narrative." West then called out E! and Hulu — which are the homes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the family's upcoming reality show, respectively — insisting that he would not let the networks "write the narrative of my family." The Grammy winner noted his dedication to the four children he shares with Kardashian, 41: North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. "I have to be next to my children as much as possible," he explained. "So when I'm out [of] the house, I've got a house right next to the house. I'm doing everything to be right next to the situation." West added that he was "trying to express this in the most sane way possible, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back at home." The musician concluded by suggesting that God will facilitate his reconciliation with Kardashian for the greater good. "If the enemy can separate Kimye, there's going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is OK … [but] when God — who has already won and is so — brings Kimye together, there's going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced and see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma of the devil that's used to capitalize and keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store," he said. West reportedly met with the CEO and president of LA Mission, a nonprofit that addresses homelessness in Los Angeles, while on Skid Row. Kardashian filed for divorce from the Yeezy founder in February after six years of marriage. He first expressed his desire to give their relationship another shot during a November 5 appearance on Revolt's "Drink Champs." "SNL making my wife say 'I divorced him' on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off and I never have seen the papers. We're not even divorced," he claimed. "So how we — because [it's] no joke to me, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents — I want us to be together." West's confession came amid news that Kardashian has moved on with Davidson, 28. The couple confirmed their romance on Thursday, November 18, when they were spotted holding hands in Palm Springs, California. Prior to the news, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the "Gold Digger" rapper was "not happy" about the pair spending so much time together. Regardless of her estranged husband's opinion, the reality star's relationship with the comedian has helped her progress. "The past few years of Kim's life have been super intense a lot of the time, so this is a real positive transition for her," an insider told Us earlier this week. "She's learning to move past day-to-day stresses and focus on the fun and sexy things." |
‘Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' Leads Who Dated Their Former Suitors Post-Split Posted: 24 Nov 2021 02:54 PM PST Circling back for more roses? Not every Bachelor or Bachelorette star finds love with their final pick — and some leads choose to give their former contestants a second chance once they are back on the market. While the ABC series has managed to help find several men and women find their happily ever after — including Sean Lowe and season 17 winner Catherine Giudici, who are married with three children — some of the show's leads don't stay engaged to their top suitor. In fact, many stars of the show, including season 16's Clare Crawley and Dale Moss, have fizzled out on more than one occasion after trying to make things work. A few of the dating series’ leads, however, have chosen to go back to their season's contestants to search for a potential forever love — including Jason Mesnick. The season 13 lead proposed to Melissa Rycroft during the show's 2009 finale, but things didn't last between the pair. Mesnick called things off during the After the Final Rose special, turning his attention on runner-up Molly Malaney. "Melissa is a great girl, but there wasn't any chemistry," he told Us Weekly at the time. "So I broke up with her after Christmas, about a month after we wrapped. Obviously, I didn't want it all on TV, but I had to take the chance if it meant getting [Molly] back. I'd rather have picked up the phone, trust me!" The account executive isn't the only franchise star to circle back to one of his TV exes and pursue a romance outside the show — Arie Luyendyk Jr. found love with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham, after breaking off his engagement to Becca Kufrin. One month after season 17 Bachelorette Katie Thurston and fiancé Blake Moynes confirmed their split, Us reported that the Washington native was dating another man from her season: John Hersey. "Internet rumors lead me to this guy becoming a dear dear friend," Thurston wrote alongside pics with Hersey in September 2021 after relocating to San Diego and sparking a strong bond with the bartender. The following month, she and Moynes revealed they called it quits after six months together. "It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways," the duo said in a joint statement in October 2021. "We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently." Thurston revealed her new love via her Instagram Story in November 2021 as part of her "12 Days of Messy" challenge in which she compared her former contestants to Taylor Swift songs. She unveiled Hersey as "Begin Again," hinting that he was her fresh start. Scroll down to see which Bachelor Nation leads dated one of their seasons' contestants after the show: ![]() The Seattle native shocked Bachelor Nation when he called off his engagement to Rycroft during the March 2009 After the Final Rose special. At the time, he revealed that he had changed his mind and wanted to give his relationship with runner-up Malaney a second chance. Mesnick married Malaney in February 2010 and they share daughter Riley. Mesnick is also the father of son Ty, whom he shares with ex-wife Hilary Buckholz. Rycroft found love with Tye Strickland, whom she wed in December 2009. The pair share three children, sons Beckett and Cayson and daughter Ava. ABC/ADAM LARKEY ![]() "Honestly, I don't think I've ever told anybody this, but after Roberto [Martinez] and I broke up, I actually went on a date with Frank,” Fedotowsky said during the May 2019 Bachelorette reunion special. “And we were romantic for, like, a night!" The former entertainment journalist got engaged to Martinez during the show’s May 2010 finale after having a heartbreaking goodbye with Neuschaefer in Tahiti. Neuschaefer exited the series after making it to the final three, telling the Bachelorette that he had feelings for his ex-girlfriend. The exes have since moved on, with Fedotowsky marrying Kevin Manno in 2017. The couple shared two children: daughter Molly and son Riley. Neuschaefer, for his part, married Jennifer Carr in April 2019. ABC/Rick Rowell ![]() The couple met while filming season 22 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2018. While the racecar driver originally proposed to Kufrin, he broke up with her during the show’s finale to explore his connection with Burnham. Luyendyk Jr. proposed to the Virginia native during his season’s After the Final Rose Special and they tied the knot in January 2019. The twosome have since welcomed three children: daughter Alessi and twins Lux and Senna. Kufrin, for her part, went on to be the season 14 Bachelorette, getting engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen during the August 2018 finale. The Minnesota native confirmed in September 2020 that they had split. She later appeared on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise where she met Thomas Jacobs. After briefly splitting up on the show, they confirmed in October 2021 that they were back together. Courtesy of Lauren Burnham/Instagram ![]() The Alabama native met Cameron during her season 15 season of The Bachelorette, which aired in the spring of 2019. The former college football player was the runner-up on the season after Brown picked Jed Wyatt as her final rose recipient. Brown called off the engagement while the season was still airing after Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend Haley Stevens claimed they were dating right up until he left for the show and had promised to get back together once he came home. During the After the Final Rose special in July 2019, Brown asked Cameron to get a drink with her and he accepted. The following month, Cameron was spotted at the Dancing With the Stars champion’s place after staying the night. While the two went their separate ways after he was spotted with Gigi Hadid, Brown sparked romance speculation again in March 2020 when she supported Cameron through his mother’s death — and proceeded to stay with him and his quarantine crew in Florida during the COVID-19 crisis. They last spoke in October 2020, going their separate ways for good. The God Bless This Mess author moved on with Adam Woolard, going public with their relationship in February 2021. Cameron, on the other hand, had a brief romance with model Camila Kendra that ended in August 2021. Wyatt, for his part, has been dating model Ellen Decker since November 2019. ABC/Mark Bourdillon ![]() The former Miss Alabama USA revealed in her November 2021 memoir that she and her third runner-up, Weber, hooked up while his Bachelor season was airing in 2020. Brown explained that at the time, Weber had called off his engagement to Hannah Ann Sluss and invited her to his room to cuddle after she crashed at his family’s home following a Bachelor Nation engagement party for Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin. “I didn’t go there expecting us to have sex. But we did,” she wrote. “I’m not sure what to say about it, except that it wasn’t good. I thought we were reconnecting. I was lonely. But it wasn’t right. … The sex didn’t last very long, and afterward, we both rolled over and fell asleep.” ABC/John Fleenor ![]() Fans watched the pilot propose to Sluss during the season March 2020 finale of the ABC series after Prewett sent herself home ahead of the final rose ceremony. Weber later called off the engagement revealing he still had feelings for Prewett. The California native briefly pursued a relationship with the Auburn University alum following the show’s finale airing, but they two parted ways after a few days. Weber announced their breakup on New Year’s Eve in December 2020, but the duo briefly reconnected in early 2021. Bachelor’s Cassie Randolph, Brighton Reinhardt Enjoy Romantic Getaway Posted: 24 Nov 2021 02:13 PM PST Moving on with her life. Cassie Randolph did not find her happily ever after on The Bachelor, but that did not stop her from dating again. The reality star competed on season 23 of the ABC series, which aired in 2019. Lead Colton Underwood famously "jumped the fence" after Randolph got cold feet about their relationship, but the two finished the show as a couple, despite not following the usual route of getting engaged during the process. After dating on and off for more than a year, the pair announced in May 2020 that they had split for good. "First off, I want to say this is one of the hardest things I have had to share as neither one of us is quite ready to talk about it yet," Randolph wrote via Instagram at the time. "However, because our relationship is such a public one, our silence on the matter has been speaking for us. Colton and I have broken up, but have decided to remain a part of each others [sic] lives. With all that we have gone through, we have a special bond that will always be there. I love Colton very much and have an enormous amount of respect for him. We have both learned and grown so much these past couple years, and will always have each others [sic] back. Always." Although the exes promised to remain friends, their breakup turned messy in July 2020 after Underwood lashed out at the then-grad student for speaking about their relationship on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever! She subsequently accused him of attempting to "monetize" their split, which he denied. Shortly after rumors surfaced that Randolph was dating Brighton Reinhardt, a source confirmed to Us Weekly in September 2020 that she filed a restraining order against the Bachelorette alum. She accused her ex of harassing her and placing a tracking device on her car. Underwood told Us in a November 2020 statement that the California native asked the court to dismiss the order after they reached a "private agreement to address any of Cassie's concerns." The former football player later came out as gay in an April 2021 Good Morning America interview, during which he also apologized for the way he handled their breakup. Randolph reacted to the revelation in a YouTube video at the time. "Regarding the topic in the media that brought my name up this week, I just want to let you know that I'm not going to be further discussing it or commenting on it for now," she explained. "There's a lot of layers to it, and I just feel like the best thing for me at this time is to move forward and just focus on going forward." Us confirmed in May 2021 that the TV personality is dating Reinhardt, and the couple went public with their relationship in July 2021. Scroll down to revisit Randolph and Reinhardt's romance. ![]() The duo sparked dating rumors three months after her split from Underwood. Fans noticed them spending time together with her family in Huntington Beach, California, and “liking” each other’s Instagram posts. However, Reinhardt shut down the speculation in August 2020. “Cassie and I are just friends and have been for over four or so years,” he exclusively told Us at the time. “My brothers and I are all close with Cassie and her whole family.” Sara De Boer/startraksphoto.com; Courtesy Brighton Reinhardt/Instagram; Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock ![]() The musician seemingly shaded Underwood in his song “Creep,” two months after Randolph dropped her restraining order against her ex. The lyrics, in part, read, “You can’t stop thinking about my baby / What once was yours in the world is changing / God, I hope you get your thinking right / GPS on the underside / Told her everything will be just fine / Damn, I can’t believe these guys.” Shutterstock; Courtesy Brighton Reinhardt/Instagram; Shutterstock ![]() A source told Us that the speech pathologist’s relationship with Reinhardt “progressed naturally” after her split from the former Bachelor. “He’s been a good friend of hers for over five years,” the insider noted. “He obviously knows what she went through with Colton and just supported her along the way.” Reinhardt “gets along well with her family,” the source said, adding that the twosome were “still enjoying spending time with one another and just seeing where things go.” John Nacion/Startraks; Courtesy Brighton Reinhardt/Instagram; Shutterstock ![]() Randolph and Reinhardt made their relationship Instagram official in July 2021. “Insert cheesy caption here*,” he captioned the beach pics. Courtesy Brighton Reinhardt/Instagram ![]() Randolph appeared in the music video for her boyfriend’s song “Dreaming” in August 2021. “This song is obviously very special to me,” she explained via Instagram at the time. “About 5 months ago when it was just a demo, I began using it as my YouTube intro song, and shortly after @briighton trusted me to attempt to sing some background vocals on it! In a funny way I feel like this song is one of my kittens that I’ve been watching grow up … Anywho, we’ve been SO impatiently waiting to share this with you all.” CraSH/imageSPACE/Shutterstock; Courtesy Brighton Reinhardt/Instagram ![]() One month after Randolph starred in the "Dreaming" video, a source told Us that the couple were happier than ever. "She's in a very normal dating relationship with Brighton," the insider said. "They're very much in love. They are really happy and just enjoying life." The source noted that they hadn't moved in together yet, but are still spending much of their free time with each other. "In their downtime, they're always at the beach — surfing, swimming, laying out," the insider explained. "She's very active and has been doing lots of yoga and meditation. They also like creating videos together and taking photos, capturing special moments of them together." Cassie Randolph/Instagram ![]() The reality TV alum and the musician enjoyed a romantic getaway together in Cancun, Mexico. “They seemed to be very much in love and were seen being affectionate and cuddling on the beach cabanas and poolside lounge chairs,” an eyewitness recalled to Us Weekly at the time. "They also enjoyed a romantic candlelit private dinner set up by the resort in their suite and took long walks hand in hand on the beach.” Oscar Chan - Momentum Photography |
'Friends' Alum Maggie Wheeler Thinks Janice and Chandler Were Endgame Posted: 24 Nov 2021 01:52 PM PST ![]() The one where Janice is weighing in! Nearly 17 years since Friends ended its impressive 10-season run, Maggie Wheeler still has some thoughts over one particular storyline. The Friends alum, 60, made a surprise cameo in a TikTok song by user @jaxwritessongs, who penned a heartfelt number from the cheetah print-loving character's perspective. "So no one talks about the one mistake on Friends," the New Jersey-based songwriter crooned in a social media clip on Tuesday, November 23, reimagining the sitcom's now-iconic theme song. "The best couple on the show never made it to the end. Chandler [Bing] and Monica [Geller] went together well, but I think Chandler should have ended up with someone else." From there, Wheeler popped into the frame and belted out her character Janice Hosenstein's signature catchphrase: "Oh my Gawd!” She continued singing the next section of the musical number, “Chandler, I'll wait for you when you and Monica get divorced. I will wait for you, you know you always loved me more. You love me, Chandler Bing!" ![]() The Parent Trap actress also shared the social media collaboration via Instagram, writing, "I had the best time making this video with the amazing @jax!!! Wheeler previously played one of the former paramours of Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) during the NBC sitcom's original run before he later got together with Monica Geller (Courteney Cox). Following the voiceover star’s time on the hit series, Wheeler has since been outspoken about her memories. "I was always a surprise on Friends," the Archer alum recalled during an October 2018 appearance on Access Live. "They always snuck me in at the last minute. I mean, they opened the door and I think that episode was a big success and obviously, Janice made people happy, and so they just kept bringing me back and bringing me back. You know, who knew when I set out to do that first episode that it would happen but it was the greatest blessing." At the time, the New York native even recalled coming up with Janice's signature voice on her own because she "knew that girl and met her a million times." The Breakdown actress even reunited with her former costars earlier this year for HBO Max's televised reunion special. “Oh, What a beautiful morning! I went straight to HBO max before I even got out of bed," Wheeler captioned a series of Instagram photos in May from the reunion taping. "What a spectacular show. It was a night to remember in every way. I'm so excited for all the viewers who get the chance to take this emotional walk down memory lane!" |
Kelley Flanagan Thinks Blake Moynes Should Be Bachelor After Katie Split Posted: 24 Nov 2021 01:12 PM PST He’s got her vote! Kelley Flanagan is rooting for Blake Moynes to be cast as the next Bachelor as he heals from his split from Katie Thurston. “I really feel for Blake,” the lawyer, 29, told Us Weekly exclusively of the wildlife manager, 31, on Wednesday, November 24, noting that the Bachelor Nation stars have “stayed close” since meeting a few years back. “He’s one of the best guys I’ve ever met and was super excited for him when he got engaged [to Katie].” The Illinois native acknowledged that Moynes is likely “going through a rough patch” since ending his engagement to Thurston, 30, in October and watching her move on with former season 17 Bachelorette contestant John Hersey. “I’m sure his mind is questioning everything,” Flanagan told Us. “I send my best to him and hopefully he gets a cool opportunity out of this. Let’s make Blake the new Bachelor!” Fans noticed that the season 23 Bachelor alum, who split from Peter Weber earlier this year, recently showed support for the Canadian’s nature conservation efforts via Instagram in the wake of his breakup. “Proud of you! Moynes, for his part, replied, “Thanks kell, you’re the bestt [sic].” One day later, Us Weekly broke the news that Thurston sparked a romance with the bartender, 27, who she sent home during the second week of her Bachelorette journey. The former bank marketing manager hinted at her new relationship with an Instagram Story video marking the end of her “12 Days of Messy” series, dedicating Taylor Swift‘s “Begin Again” to her new beau. As his former fiancée’s budding relationship status made headlines, a source told Us that Moynes felt “blindsided.” He broke his silence on the Wednesday episode of the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast, accusing Thurston of emotional cheating while they were living in different countries before their split — and revealing how he heard the news. “I had to pull over because my phone was going nuts. I pulled over in a Best Buy parking lot and everyone was ringing me, they were like, 'There's no f–king way,'” Moynes said. “I was shocked too. I just thought that she might at least tell me on the side. Just because we have had very cordial, easy conversations [since the breakup]. We haven’t had one in a while … but, you know, they’ve been very cordial and very good. So why not reach out to me and tell me that, at least, to give me a heads up?” While Flanagan is rallying for the season 16 Bachelorette alum to continue his search for love as the franchise’s next lead, Moynes is a little more hesitant. “I am in no way prepared to go through meeting 30 women, especially after all that,” he said on the podcast. “I think my ego’s hurt right now. I feel like an idiot with how things played out, when you’re so sure about something and you feel like you found your rock. To all of a sudden be able to turn that rock and try to find another one within the time frame that we have? No.” Fans might not be following along during the next phase of his journey to find The One, but Moynes hopes that “over time” he’ll be able to feel confident dating “in the real world” again. “I’m trying to find my person, that’s what I’m trying to do,” he explained. “I’m not going to wait to get to [Bachelor in] Paradise and not date anyone until Paradise, then all of a sudden I’m ready again. No, when I’m ready in the real world, I’ll start dating … and I will hopefully find my person. I’m not thinking about a show.” With reporting by Diana Cooper |

Lacey Chabert shared a touching tribute in honor of her sister Wendy Chabert, who died suddenly. “My beautiful sister, Wendy. Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces that I don’t know how we will ever put back together again now that you’re gone,” the Mean Girls actress, 39, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, November 23, alongside an old school photo of her sister. “We love and adore you more than we can ever say and we will continue to forever and ever and ever. Love you Wendy and Crissy.” The Mississippi native also has a brother, Tony “T.J.” Chabert, who was previously diagnosed with leukemia in early 2016. She revealed that August that her sibling was given a clean bill of health. “This birthday is extra special. He and his wife are expecting a baby boy this week and Tony’s leukemia is in remission Lacey and her husband, David Nehdar, welcomed daughter Julia in September 2016. Nearly two years later, the Not Another Teen Movie star opened up about how parenthood impacted her marriage. “Every day is just full of so much joy,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in June 2018. “[But] it’s also very exhausting. The sleep deprivation, it’s hard, it’s challenging in ways that more than other things have been to me. … It’s amazing how for your relationship too, it creates new challenges but having her and raising her together, it’s truly brought us together in a really beautiful way.” |
Britney! Hannah! Candace! Celebs Decorating for the 2021 Holidays Posted: 24 Nov 2021 11:34 AM PST Making spirits bright! Candace Cameron Bure, Joanna Gaines, Bindi Irwin and more celebrities aren't waiting until December to get into the holiday mood — they started decorating as soon as Halloween ended. "It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! It's happening, people!!!" the Full House alum, 45, wrote via Instagram on November 10, sharing a video of herself putting up her fake tree at home. "The tree is up Gaines, for her part, decorated a special tree with 3-year-old son Crew in early November to mark the start of the season. She also shared a few highlights of Christmas past via her Magnolia blog to get fans just as excited for holiday festivities. "Our family's tradition of gifting ornaments each year began with [my husband] Chip [Gaines]'s mom, Gayle. The first year that Chip and I were married, I wanted to decorate our Christmas tree based on a specific color story — and decided it would be an all-blue theme," Joanna, 43, wrote in a recent blog. "That same year on Thanksgiving, Gayle gifted us a bright red Radko ornament. Truthfully, I hesitated putting it on the tree because I knew it would throw off my color theme. It makes me laugh now, but at the time I thought, 'Where am I going to put this?'" The Magnolia Network cofounder noted that she ultimately decided to put her mother-in-law's gift on the tree, which led to their family's tradition of giving each other ornaments as pre-Christmas gifts. "What I learned to love was this: Though that ornament stuck out in stark contrast to my blue tree, that bright red ornament told a story," she added. "Not only was it a heartfelt gift from Chip's mom, but the ornament signified our first Christmas together, and that made it worthy of the spotlight." This year, Joanna opted to add a few specialty ornaments to her Magnolia collection that help tell the stories of her own family — including a Sriracha sauce bottle for 15-year-old daughter Ella, who "puts it on everything," according to her mom. Along with Ella and Crew, Joanna shares children Drake, 16, Duke, 13 and Emmie, 11, with Chip, 46. Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are one of the many Hollywood couples who met while filming a TV show. Dunst and Plemons played married high school sweethearts Peggy and local butcher Ed on the FX series Fargo. They starred on season 2 of the series. “It was a gift,” the Friday Night Lights alum gushed at at PaleyFest in 2015 when asked about working with Dunst. “I loved Kirsten’s work for a long time, and I was really excited once I’d met her, and she’s a great person, and we’re both actors that just … have fun with the material.” Dunst and Plemons were first spotted together off set in 2016. A year later, the Breaking Bad star popped the question. "It's good. It's so fun. I never thought I would be that person who had a Pinterest board," the actress said on Live With Kelly and Ryan about wedding planning in 2017. "And because we created it together from the beginning it's a really nice thing to do together. It's going to be so personal and fun. We are having a good time." Not long after the twosome welcomed their first child together, they sparked speculation that they were married at Dunst's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony after they were referred to as "husband" and wife." "Aside from the brilliant actor you are, I have also had the even greater pleasure of getting to know you as a person outside of work — KiKi or Keeks," Plemons gushed in his speech at the August 2019 ceremony. "Seeing the kind of mother and wife, daughter, sister, friend and cohort you are is why I and all of your friends and everyone else are here today and why we all love you." Dunst later clarified that the pair weren't hitched yet. Scroll through to revisit their relationship timeline: ![]() The twosome met on the set of Fargo season 2. He thought it was so funny." Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() The often-private couple dished on the early days of their romance in a candid interview with The New York Times, published in September. "I've made children with him, so I really, really like him a lot." The actress, who met her fiancé on the set of Fargo in 2015, noted that their work is what initially brought them together. "We kind of fell in love creatively first and fell in love as actors. We got together after [Fargo] ... I just knew he was awesome and that we were about to work together,” she continued. “I watched all of Friday Night Lights for the first time. We were cold in Calgary, and there wasn't much to do so I went on a Jesse Plemons [binge]. [But] I have not seen [Breaking Bad] and I feel weird about it. That's the last thing he wants to watch with me." YouTube |
How DWTS' Emma Slater, Husband Sasha Farber Separate Work and Personal Life Posted: 24 Nov 2021 11:17 AM PST From the ballroom to the real world! While professional dancers Emma Slater and Sasha Farber often compete against one another on Dancing With the Stars — with their respective celebrity partners — they aim to keep their marriage separate when they're not on the dance floor. "I think we do a really good job of separating our work life from our home life, which is crazy because we literally [do] everything together," Slater, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, November 24, about her relationship with Farber, 37, while promoting the upcoming DWTS Live 2022 tour. "So, it is hard to separate it. For some reason, we do a really good job with that. It’s just, like, it doesn’t get to us in our personal life." The former mirrorball champ noted: "My sister [Kelly Slater] thinks it’s crazy that we can just continue to talk about that. She’s like, 'Don’t you need that break?' But I think we just live it and we love it so much that it’s normal for us." However, as a result of COVID-19 safety protocols, the married couple — who tied the knot in March 2018 — were unable to reside together while competing on season 30 of the dancing competition. (During the 30th season, the Burn the Floor alum was paired with country crooner Jimmie Allen and Farber partnered with Olympian Suni Lee.) "You can’t live together because of the [safety] restrictions," the Mamma Mia! actress told Us of their working relationship. "Obviously, we’ve lived together pre-COVID during the season and we never really fight. We don’t really argue that much. We get frustrated, but, not at each other, like, I will witness him get frustrated about choreographing something and I’ll try to help. … We have very different choreographing sort of styles and sometimes I’ll want to use him [and ask] 'Can I try to step out with you in the lounge?'" The England native, for her part, even revealed that there "always has been" a friendly competitive nature between her and the Australia native, but she couldn't help but gush over their working relationship. "He’s a very supportive person, like, so supportive and I am too by nature," the former Dancing With the Stars: Juniors mentor said. "So, we can’t really be any other way." Ahead of their 2018 nuptials, the pair previously dated on and off since 2011 before Farber popped the question in October 2016 in the middle of an episode of DWTS season 23. "I've wanted to do this for such a long time — I love you so, so much," the Russian-born professional dancer explained to his longtime love during the live show at the time, before dropping on one knee. Lala Kent Doesn't 'Need Much' on Thanksgiving After Randall Emmett Split Posted: 24 Nov 2021 11:01 AM PST ![]() Keeping it simple. As Lala Kent adjusts to her new normal, the reality star is hoping to make Thanksgiving all about what is most important to her. “[I] don’t need much. I just want to be around people I love, eat good food, spend quality time. With that, I’m good. So Thanksgiving offers me just that,” Kent, 31, explained during a new episode of the “Give Them Lala Kent” podcast on Wednesday, November 24. The Vanderpump Rules star noted that her Thanksgiving plans include quality time with her 8-month-old daughter, Ocean, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, Randell Emmett. Kent also mentioned a possible visit to her former costars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright‘s house. “I am excited for this Thanksgiving and just this holiday season because I am officially going to be in my new place,” she added on Wednesday. “I have this big family room area where I can fit a monstrosity of a tree, not saying I will, but it’s beautiful and I’m so excited and it’s like all day girl time for the holidays.” Kent and Emmett, 50, got engaged in September 2018 after going public with their relationship earlier that year. The pair sparked breakup speculation when the Utah native was spotted without her engagement ring on multiple occasions in October after previously deleting all Instagram posts with the director. Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Kent and Emmett were no longer together, with a source noting, “Randall did not want to split but it was Lala’s decision. The trust is gone. He’s been trying to win her back.” At the time, Kent opened up about making her daughter her first priority while adjusting. “I obviously want to acknowledge that I’m sure everyone knows what is going on between Randall and myself and just in my personal life,” she said on the November 3 episode of her podcast. “There will be a time where I feel comfortable enough to open up and share. Today’s definitely not that day. It’s been a lot, I’m going through a lot and at this point in time, I just want to protect my child.” The Give Them Lala author reflected on not knowing what to expect when it comes to her future. “I don’t know what each day is going to look like and for a really long time, I’ve had a schedule where everything is planned out,” she shared. “My future was ahead of me and I was like, 'This is the plan.' And I’m kind of just letting the universe take control of my life and place me where I need to be. I’m not questioning anything. Emmett, for his part, later announced that he was departing from their joint podcast, previously called “Give Them Lala … With Randall,” as he looks ahead to other projects. “But I think for now, for me, I’m going to take a step back from being in front of the camera, even though it’s a podcast and you can’t be in front of the camera, you can be in front of the microphone. [I’m going] to focus right now on family and my children — Ocean, London, Rylee — and also my film business,” he explained, referring to his daughter with Kent and kids with ex-wife Ambyr Childers. “I made that decision and I hope that my 15 followers stay loyal to the podcast, while you don’t hear my voice. But I think that’s — for me right now — the right thing to do for myself and I just want to be super focused right now.” Following Emmett’s exit, Us confirmed that Kent has since moved into another place, which she praised for its “new energy” on Wednesday. The Row star briefly showed off her new home on Monday, November 22, highlighting the kitchen space during a sponsored Instagram post. Kent also got honest about how therapy taught her to surround herself with people who always offer her love and support. “That is my biggest, and any time I’ve gone to therapy they’ve always said, ‘You’re just someone who always wants to be around people who are present,'” she detailed on Wednesday. “That’s all I crave in life. Like if I can be around people where we are in the present, in the now, just enjoying each other, my soul leaves happy.” |
Sarah Hyland's Most Powerful Quotes About Her Health Struggles Posted: 24 Nov 2021 11:01 AM PST Self-care every day. As she's grown up in the spotlight, Sarah Hyland has opened up about a major part of her identity: her health. The Modern Family star underwent her first kidney transplant in 2012, following years of various health struggles. In a 2015 interview with Seventeen magazine, the actress recalled when doctors once told her mother that she would never have a normal life. Her mother's response in that moment has stuck with her ever since: "She said, 'You're right, she won't — but it won't be because of her health' … If I can't have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one." Three years later, the Lipstick Jungle alum spoke candidly about a devastating moment in her journey. Through tears, Hyland admitted to Self magazine that she had gone through rejection and had quietly underwent a second kidney transplant in September 2017, just days after her first date with her now-fiancé, Wells Adams. "For someone being so tiny to have a stomach that looks like the New Jersey Turnpike, just shows who I am and what kind of character I have," Hyland said proudly in the same interview, confirming that she was stable and in a good place after the transplant. Hyland kept her journey private at first, but has gained the confidence to open up about her health struggles more and more each day. The "Met at a Party" singer admitted to once being "very, very, very close" to taking her own life amid her medical trauma, but has since found the support she needs in loved ones like Adams. "Imagine having 16 surgeries, going to hundreds of doctors' visits and taking thousands of pills. Imagine losing crazy weight because of dialysis, medication side effects and stress. Then imagine having to do it all over again," the Bachelorette alum told Us Weekly in December 2018. "I know Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman on film, but Sarah is the real-life version." When the coronavirus pandemic hit in 2020, Hyland got real about being more at risk of catching the illness due to her prior health concerns. “I am obviously immunocompromised with my transplant history and am on immunosuppressants, so everything in this house is sanitized,” she said on Brad Goreski‘s “Brad Behavior” podcast in March 2020, joking, "I just took a shot of hand sanitizer, so we’re good.” The actress went into further detail about how certain symptoms stick around longer because of her conditions, adding, “Say someone gets a 24-hour bug, I get it for a week or more. For me, it’s really dangerous. My panic level is pretty high, but I also have a lot of health issues that are very susceptible to stress, so I’m trying to remain calm.” Scroll to read more of Hyland's most powerful quotes about her health struggles. ![]() While gracing the cover of Seventeen magazine in April 2015, the Modern Family star opened up about how her hardships have taught her to be strong. “I was born with so many health issues that doctors told my mother I would never have a normal life. Maybe one day I’ll talk about it but for now, I’d like my privacy,” she wrote at the time. “I will say that this year has brought a lot of changes and with that, physical changes … My circumstances have put me in a place where I’m not in control of what my body looks like.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() Following a frightening medical rejection, the Wedding Year actress revealed that she privately underwent a second kidney transplant in September 2017. After the organ her father had donated to her in 2012 failed, Hyland told Self magazine through tears, “When a family member gives you a second chance at life and it fails, it almost feels like it’s your fault. It’s not, but it does.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() During the same revealing interview, the Lipstick Jungle alum gave a touching tribute to her then-boyfriend, Adams. “He’s seen me at my worst. I think that’s why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that. It was a really intimate start to a relationship to have to go through those hurdles at the very, very, very beginning when you’re just even getting to know a person.” Todd Williamson/January Images/Shutterstock ![]() “Sometimes a selfie is more than just a good angle or feelin cute,” the actress shared on Instagram in June 2018 after admitted that she had been hospitalized once again. “Here is my face that was torn from work against my will. Walker/Shutterstock ![]() In June 2018, Hyland documented her return to the gym after her lengthy stay in the hospital. “Abs here I come. I’m just sharing my story,” she said. “But I think talking to someone and saying it out loud really, really makes it sound almost ridiculous and it puts it into perspective.” Scott Kirkland/Shutterstock ![]() After performing with Jordan McGraw at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards, the longtime ABC star recognized her strong decision to not wear any shapewear to the star-studded event. “A final thank you to my ever changing self-confidence for making the decision to not wear spanx and let my KUPA (kidney upper p–y area) shine like the badass bitch she is. 💖💖💖💖.” Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() As the COVID-19 crisis began to spread across the globe, Hyland shared some of her fears about being more at risk for catching the virus. John Salangsang/Shutterstock ![]() In August 2020, Hyland got real about what she's learned about herself through her "invisible illness" and immunodeficiencies. "Every time I feel down, I remind myself that things could be so much worse. ... Health is something that a lot of people take for granted," she told HelloGiggles at the time. "I don't think some people have had a situation put in front of them to make them really appreciate life, and to know how fragile life is." Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() "One day they're saying, 'Sarah, eat a cheeseburger,' and the next they're saying, 'What happened to her face? "I don't think there's a woman on Earth that hasn't at least one time or another felt like, 'I don't look the way I should look.'" Thank god I had @vanessahudgens by my side at that event.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() In the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, Hyland explained that she was taking the CDC's quarantine recommendations seriously because she faced a major health risk given her previous conditions. "As a person with comorbidities and on immunosuppressants for life, I am so grateful to receive this vaccine." She continued: "I am still remaining safe and following CDC guidelines but once I receive my second dose? I will feel safe enough to go out every once in a while... GROCERY STORE HERE I COME! No Shame! JoJo Siwa Wants a 'Cuddle Buddy' After Kylie Prew Split Posted: 24 Nov 2021 10:43 AM PST Getting back out there! Following her recent breakup from Kylie Prew, JoJo Siwa knows exactly what she wants from her search for someone special. “Listen, I want a cuddle buddy bad. I’m not ashamed to admit it,” JoJo, 18, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, November 23, during a joint interview with her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, while promoting their show Siwas Dance Pop Revolution. Although the Dancing With the Stars alum is open to dating again, she’s enforcing her own set of rules. “I want a movie night. I don’t want to do anything that 18-year-olds aren’t supposed to do. I don’t like to do things that 18-year-olds aren’t supposed to do. I’m against drinking. I’m against everything [illegal],” she noted. “I think it’s something that you wait until later in life for and there’s age limits for a reason and there’s morals for a reason.” ![]() As she continues to get over her split from Prew, the reality star is “not looking for a relationship actively” — but she’s down to keep things simple if someone sparks her interest. “Cuddling is great. Movies are nice. Kisses are great. … I’m not opposed to [dating], if there’s somebody that enters my life tomorrow that I think is awesome and treats me wonderful[ly]," JoJo told Us. "Would I take things very slow because of the position that I’m in? Absolutely. But would a cuddle date hurt anybody? No.” The Nebraska native went publish with Prew while celebrating their one-month anniversary in February. Us confirmed eight months later that the duo had called it quits, which the "Boomerang" singer chalked up to being a case of finding “right person" at the wrong time. “I’m really lucky that I didn’t lose her completely because, you know, even though relationships end, friendships don’t have to end. I was very happy that it can be [that way], because that’s all I wanted,” JoJo said during an appearance on Paris Hilton‘s “This Is Paris” podcast on November 2. “We’re both so young, she’s 17, I’m 18, and we are literally best friends. And I would take a bullet for her, and I know she would do the same for me.” The former Nickelodeon star, who ended season 30 of DWTS in second place with partner Jenna Johnson, later explained that losing her "first love" would have been much harder without the help of her ballroom family. "I would have handled it so much differently [if I wasn't on the show]. I just want[ed] time to be sad," JoJo told Us earlier this month. "And then I got that [time to be sad] and I was like, 'I've been very lucky that I don’t have much of that right now.' And I realized what was making me sad is I felt like I couldn’t be friends with Ky anymore. And then I was like, 'This is dumb.' We started being friends by Snapchatting every day. We’re going to go back to being friends." The Dance Moms alum also thanked her loved ones for their support, noting how “easy” it was to always have her mother in her corner. Jessalynn, 46, for her part, told Us on Tuesday that her mama bear instincts were always out in full force, saying, “I’m sharing her with so many people and I love that and they have to love her back. If they don’t, then they have to deal with me.” The mother-daughter duo also reflected on how they grew closer while working together on their new series. “I think for me to get to work with her, it was probably better than for her to get to work with me. But I think I’m lucky, I get to spend time with my teenage daughter doing something that we love,” Jessalynn gushed to Us. “It’s the little things, like, having lunch together every day, working with the kids, collaborating, picking out music, listening to each other and laughing and tricking each other.” Siwas Dance Pop Revolution is available to stream on Peacock. Moving On! Katie Thurston, Blake Moynes' Honest Quotes About Life Post-Split Posted: 24 Nov 2021 10:31 AM PST Learning to move on. After Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes announced they called it quits less than three months after their Bachelorette engagement aired, the former couple have been candid about navigating their newfound single status. "It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways," the Washington native shared via Instagram in October 2021. "We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently. We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision." Thurston, who initially fell in love with the wildlife manager during The Bachelorette season 17, told Us Weekly days before their split that she was "totally winging" life while the pair navigated long distances. "We're figuring it out," the former ABC personality admitted to Us while backstage at Whitney Cummings' Touch Me Tour in October 2021, in which she served as the opening act. "We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself, he's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great." Shortly after the season 17 finale aired in August 2021, the former bank marketing manager relocated from her hometown in Washington to San Diego, California. Moynes, for his part, remained in Canada as the pair traveled back and forth to visit one another. "I don't think people fully understand what it's like to date someone from another country and the rules behind that and the visas behind that," Thurston, explained during a series of Instagram Story videos in August 2021. "I think right now Blake can only be here for 60 days before having to go back to Canada, so we really do have a lot we have to look into — and we just haven't yet — before we can plan really anything else." Since their split, the Bachelor season 25 alum has been vocal about moving on and pursuing love in the future. In November 2021, a source exclusively revealed to Us that the former Bachelorette has "gotten clarity" after their breakup, now knowing "what she wants in a husband." "Katie's really an open and honest person. She knows what she wants," an insider exclusively told Us the following month. "I'm sure she won't have trouble moving on — she's been through heartbreak before." The Canada native, for his part, has thrown himself back into his work as a wildlife manager and focused on his passion for animals to stay busy. "In today's world it's easy to get sucked into all the negativity and your mind can sometimes be your worst enemy," the Bachelorette season 16 alum explained in a November 2021 Instagram video. "To get back into a positive headspace, I rely on passion. I channel that passion to do good. When you do good, you feel good." Keep scrolling to read everything the former Bachelor Nation couple have said about their split and moving on: ![]() Shortly before the exes confirmed their uncoupling, Thurston opened up about how the pair had been navigating long-distance. “I’m, like, totally winging my life right now,” she told Us backstage at Cummings' stand-up show in Anaheim, California. “I literally leave tomorrow in San Diego at, like, six in the morning. … We’re figuring it out. We don’t know. This is very new to us still.” ABC/Randy Holmes ![]() The Bachelorette season 17 star detailed the nature of their split during an October 2021 Instagram Live, telling her followers, “We were together for six months [and] Blake and I are very level-headed and mature, and we communicate very well on our thoughts, and we just both knew if this was how our first six months was as a couple, going forward it was going to not be in our best interest for our happiness to stay together.” She continued, “And so, we, as mentioned, mutually decided to part our ways, but we still stay in touch, we still support each other; nothing but love and respect truly. … Obviously, a public relationship ending is a really sh—ty thing to have to navigate, but you guys have been very kind and supportive and I wanted to say thank you for being that way to me and to Blake. I think a lot of people hold too much weight to things that don’t matter. I’m a big believer in, like, your happiness. Your happiness is the most important thing and that being said, why would you not pursue that?” Courtesy of Katie Thurston/Instagram ![]() “When times are really tough and things just aren’t going the way you had hoped ... it’s always the same “gang” that gets ya back on your feet,” Moynes wrote via Instagram on November 1, alongside a gallery of photos with his pets. “Feels good to start getting back into the swing of things. But, as much as I do lean on my human / furr fam at times like this, I really do have to acknowledge you all, my newfound social family for all the love, support, encouragement and even patience over the past week. Cheers to you, super grateful…for real.🙏🏼” Courtesy of Blake Moynes/Instagram ![]() The former bank marketing manager explained how hard it was to leave her house shortly after news of their breakup made headlines. “Dexter forcing me out [of] the house this morning,” she wrote via Instagram Story, alongside a snap of a dog and adding a heart emoji. “Thank you to everyone who has shown their love and support. Surround your personal universe with joy.” Courtesy of Katie Thurston/Instagram ![]() While moving on from the breakup is no easy feat, Moynes credited his passion for giving back and working with animals as a helpful distraction on his path towards moving on, noting “it hasn't been [an] easy” journey. “Today, something super exciting came to fruition that I’ve been working on for a little while now,” he explained in a November 2021 Instagram video. “I’ve had to put [it] on the back burner for weeks just due to the obvious events that have happened … with Katie and I and the breakup. … The internet is a very cruel, nasty, sh—y place. Without the love and support that you guys give me — the community that we kind of created here through this amazing experience that I’ve had — allows me to commit to trying to make a difference in the world.” ABC/Eric McCandless; Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock ![]() “My family and friends continue to rally around me and I am so fortunate,” Thurston captioned an Instagram Story that November, sharing a photo of a bouquet that Chris Conran and Alana Milne sent after learning of her split. At the time, the Bachelor in Paradise couple added a note with their thoughtful gift, writing, “Don’t let anyone treat you like free salsa. You are guac, girl. GUAC.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Moynes spoke out in November 2021 about Thurston’s new romance with John Hersey — which Us confirmed on November 23 — during an appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “She was very clear and I trusted everything she said — I still do that. I don’t think anything was happening during the time that we were engaged. I really don’t,” Moynes said before accusing Thurston of emotional infidelity. “Clearly, he was more into it or was pursuing it or wanted to be hanging out with her all the time. … When I was in Canada or in Kenya, I would see them together, but again, I put my full trust in that there’s nothing more than literally just a friendship.” The Canadian wildlife manager explained that his breakup with Thurston happened so “abruptly” that it made him wonder when she was able to form a bond with Hersey. "At least emotionally, where they could see something with each other that made it so easy for them to transition when it ended," he noted, calling himself “foolish” for allowing the new romance to blossom while they were together. "It happened too quickly. There had to have been something there. He at least provided something that she really liked that made the transition easy." Courtesy of Blake Moynes/Instagram |
Bachelorette's Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes' Relationship Timeline Posted: 24 Nov 2021 10:05 AM PST Third times the charm? Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes' road to romance certainly had its bumps — but they (briefly) found a happy ending after meeting on season 17 of The Bachelorette. Katie’s unconventional journey — which was cohosted by Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe after Chris Harrison stepped down amid controversy — featured many twists and turns. Blake’s late arrival, for example, threw some contestants for a loop, but Katie never wavered on their strong connection. While Blake didn't show up until the fifth week of the season, he previously slid into Katie’s DMs after romancing both Clare Crawley and Tayshia on season 16 of the dating series. "I definitely knew who he was, which also Tayshia's ex-boyfriend! So that's weird," the former bank marketing manager exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2021. "We had chatted before, but usually what happens is, like, the guys will reach out to the women once they're eliminated and be like, 'Good luck, you did great.' Like, very generic, you know? And so to see him, I was like, 'Why is he here?' Like, 'What's happening?'" The shock of Blake’s arrival quickly wore off and the wildlife manager became a clear frontrunner. After first impression rose winner Greg Grippo surprised Katie with his abrupt departure following their hometown date, she was forced to regroup and reassess her remaining relationships. The Washington native got the clarity she needed after her fantasy suite date with Blake, which aired as a part of the three-hour season finale in August 2021. Despite some hesitation on the Canadian’s part when picking out the perfect engagement ring, the couple got engaged during the finale and couldn't stop smiling as they made their first official appearance together on the After the Final Rose special. “It's actually probably the most romantic thing someone's ever done," Katie gushed during the special, reflecting on Blake’s choice to crash her season. "I know you question it in the beginning. I know a lot of people did, but knowing that I could've turned him away and he would've looked dumb, he took all these risks for me and no one's ever believed in me like that. So for him to just trust in us early on, it just means everything." Katie made it clear that she was confident she’d found The One — despite some fans’ skepticism about their connection. "I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with," she noted during After the Final Rose special. "He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I'm telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I'm just so lucky. I love him so much." Katie announced in October 2021 that the pair had called it quits just months after fans watched her proposal play out on TV. Scroll down to relive the couple's road to romance: ![]() Blake vyed for the hearts of both Clare and Tayshia on season 16 of The Bachelorette, which aired in 2020. Katie, for her part, was a contestant on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The Blake Moynes Shop founder first connected with his fiancée while she was competing on season 25 of the dating show, which premiered in January 2021. “When I actually reached out that first time, after the first episode, her responses were very cold back,” he revealed during a July 2021 episode of the “Click Bait” podcast. “She was nice, but she didn’t open up her dialogue in any way. It was shut down right then and there.” The former Bachelorette contestant noted that he reached out to Katie after she brought a vibrator with her to meet Matt. “She came out of that limo with that vibrator, I was like, ‘Yeah, I like what she’s about,'” he explained, clarifying that it wasn’t about the vibrator itself, but rather how confident she was bringing it with her. “It’s the fact that she had the balls to have fun with it, and go with it, and go with the flow.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Blake joined season 17 during the July 5, 2021, episode. Tayshia informed the remaining 14 suitors that the Canada native would be joining them at Katie's request, which didn’t sit well with some of the men. Blake later noted that he could feel the tension when he showed up, but insisted he would have started the journey earlier if possible because he’d never met anyone like Katie. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Blake scored a on a one-on-one date as soon as he arrived on the July 5 episode. The pair went horseback riding and quickly learned they had a lot in common. During the dinner portion of their date, Blake asked how Katie became so sex-positive, prompting her to opened up about surviving sexual assault and wanting to take back her power. After the intimate moment, Katie gave him a rose. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The wildlife manager shared some of his favorite Canadian treats and activities with Katie during their hometown date on the August 2, 2021, episode of the ABC series. Their playful outing included eating syrup, playing hockey and riding a mechanical moose. Blake told his family — and the cameras — that she was The One as well as the cameras but couldn’t muster up the courage to tell Katie in the moment. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Katie was blindsided by Greg after he decided to take himself out of the competition. Following his departure, both the Bachelorette and Blake questioned what would happen next with their own relationship. “If Katie is still hung up on Greg, there’s no point,” Blake said during the finale episode before their fantasy suite date cemented their status as a couple. Kate then sent runner-up Justin Glaze packing, leaving only Blake in New Mexico to meet her family. “Definitely my feelings were growing, and I knew each time we saw each other it was just getting stronger and stronger, and it was just so easy. Like, we picked up right where we left off. Time didn’t matter,” she explained during the August 2021 After the Final Rose special. “Every day our love continues to grow stronger and stronger. We are not even the same couple that you guys just saw go down on one knee. We are so much more already, and we’re just really excited to start our lives together.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Blake freaked out during the August 9, 2021, finale episode as he looked at engagement ring options. Although he was confused as to whether it was the right time to commit to Katie, she was confident that he was The One. “I always thought you showed up late, but if there’s anything I’ve learned during our journey together, it’s that love shows up when it wants, regardless of time, tradition, expectations, and that’s why we’re standing right here in this very moment,” she gushed before Blake's proposal. “You showed up exactly when you were meant to show up. I’ll forever be thankful that you fought to be here.” Though it seemed like Blake wasn’t ready to get down on one knee when he first started to speak, he ultimately popped the question. “I can’t give you what you came here for because you deserve a lot more than that,” he said. “You deserve the world, and I’m excited to support you and be there for you every day moving forward.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The lovebirds revealed during the After the Final Rose special that they are happily engaged. Katie told the audience that she wasn't fazed by Blake's hesitation. “I’m glad that he took the time to take it seriously,” she said. “It is an engagement. Yes, we didn’t have a lot of time with each other, but it does show just how serious he was taking this and he actually was maybe unsure for a moment. It just makes it that much more special that he meant it.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “So excited to start our best f--king life! You’re a rock. My rock,” Blake wrote via Instagram in August 2021 after the season 17 finale aired. “A mature, nurturing, supportive & loving partner who continues to impress me every day. We have an adventure called life ahead of us and I hope you know I’ll do everything I can to help, push and encourage you to make the most of every little bit of it! I love you buggy.” Courtesy Blake Moynes/Instagram ![]() “Happy f--king birthday honey bear! 🐻💕What a wild couple of months it has been. I couldn’t have done this without you,” Katie wrote via Instagram in August 2021 shortly after fans watched her Bachelorette journey conclude. “I’m so ready to leave these bubbles and start living our life!” The Washington native praised her fiancé, adding, “I couldn’t ask for a better partner. You are kind, patient, understanding, and your advocacy for the planet and animals is remarkable. I’m so lucky to call you my fiancé 💍. My best friend. My confidant. We are just two weirdos laughing our way through life together. Cheers to the upcoming adventures!” Courtesy Katie Thurston/Instgram ![]() The Washington native shared footage ahead of her Bachelor journey via Instagram in September 2021, before noting her gratitude for the reality series that gave her close friendships with her fellow contestants and even a fiancé. “I really can’t grasp that it was exactly 12 months ago that I left for The Bachelor,” she captioned her post. “I had no idea how quickly life was going to change in such a short amount of time. I'm thankful for @bacheloretteabc and all it has provided. … I am thankful for @blakemoynes. I left a year ago in search of love. And because of him, the fight, the sadness, the tears, the pain … it was all worth it as it led me to him. The first few months of our relationship was unnatural but we made the most of every secret moment we were able to spend together.” She continued, “We supported each other while watching back my many relationships. We made it out at the end of it all, stronger [and] happier than ever. Now our real life together can begin. It will have its own challenges as we relearn what our new norm gets to be but I’m ready. Ready for this next chapter. 💕” Courtesy of Katie Thurston/Instagram ![]() In October 2021, Katie owned up to feeling "lonely" while her fiancé spent time in Africa for work and thanked her Instagram followers for being a supportive community when she gets down. She later gushed over Blake's dedication to his career, writing in an Instagram Story, "So proud of @BlakeMoynes for following his passions and being a voice for the animals." Courtesy Katie Thurston/Instagram ![]() “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” Katie wrote via Instagram in October 2021, confirming that she and Blake had split. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.” Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock ![]() Nearly one week after the split, Katie got emotional as she addressed their breakup via Instagram. “People have questioned, like, the authenticity of the love and the relationship and for those people passing judgment, like, I can only hope to be so lucky as you to find a forever love on the first time, you know?” she said in October 2021. “Ending a relationship isn’t something new … I think Blake and I were very fortunate enough to recognize things early and made the best decision for us that [comes] with its own challenges, like, we are still processing a lot of waves of emotions.” Blake, for his part, thanked his newfound "social family” for their support after revealing he was leaning on his friends and pets after the split. “When times are really tough and things just aren’t going the way you had hoped.. it’s always the same ‘gang’ that gets ya back on your feet. Feels good to start getting back into the swing of things,” he wrote via Instagram. “But, as much as I do lean on my human / furr fam at times like this, I really do have to acknowledge you all, my new found [SIC] social family for all the love, support, encouragement and even patience over the past week.” Courtesy of Katie Thurston/Instagram ![]() After Us revealed on November 23 that Katie is dating season 17 contestant John Hersey, fans noticed Blake recently unfollowed her on Instagram. During her “12 Days of Messy” challenge that month, Katie dedicated Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” to Blake — and “Begin Again” to John. Shutterstock(3) ![]() A source exclusively told Us in November 2021 that Blake “is blindsided by the news” that his ex-fiancée is now dating fellow Bachelorette contestant John. Blake has since unfollowed Katie on social media, as have several of his family members. The wildlife manager opened up about learning about Katie’s new relationship during an appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast, noting he didn’t think she would reveal a new man during her final “12 Days of Messy” challenge. “When that dropped … I had to pull over because my phone was going nuts. I pulled over in a Best Buy parking lot and everyone was ringing me, they were like, ‘There’s no f–king way,'” he recalled. “I was shocked too. I just thought that she might at least tell me on the side.” Blake noted that he and Katie had been “very cordial” up until her new beau reveal, so he thought she would have told him about the romance before publicly confirming it. “[The conversations] have been very cordial and very good [post-split],” he explained. “So why not reach out to me and tell me that, at least, to give me a heads up?” ABC/Eric McCandless ![]() “I really don’t think there was any physical cheating there, but there [was] clearly emotional [cheating] for it to transition as quickly as it did. I feel stupid and foolish for allowing it to happen, to some degree,” Blake said of Katie’s quick move to another man during the November 2021 podcast. “I don’t know if it was partially me too, like, was she emotionally cheating to some degree because I wasn’t able to provide something with words of affirmation, which I know I struggle with sometimes.” The Canada native explained that he tries to “stand by having no regrets,” but his ex-fiancée’s new love threw him. “It is instances like this where you really start to fight yourself with having no regrets just with the way things played out,” he said. Blake noted that he “had no idea” about the new relationship. “When everyone heard this, I heard the exact same thing. There was speculation, I think, obviously, but I really thought there was no way just based on the timeline,” he added. ABC/Craig Sjodin (2); Earl Gibson III/Shutterstock |
Wells Adams Gushes About Sarah Hyland's 'Natural Elegance' on Her Birthday Posted: 24 Nov 2021 10:02 AM PST For the right reasons! Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are proof that Instagram can be the beginning of a beautiful love story. Us Weekly exclusively revealed that the Modern Family star and the Bachelor in Paradise bartender were dating in October 2017. Months later, Hyland shared that the twosome met over social media. "Have you seen those memes of 'Slide Into the DMs'? That. He slid into my DMs," the actress explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January 2018. "I thought he was funny, and he was a fan of [my] show. I saw him as the bartender and I was like, 'That's really cute!'" Hyland referred to Adams' decision to privately message her as the perfect balance of "sexy," but not "aggressive." "I was single, obviously, and was like, 'This is really awesome. You're being very forward," she said at the time. "But very confident and sexy, and I liked that." The twosome took the next step in their relationship during the summer of 2018 when they decided to move in together in Los Angeles. Hyland later credited Adams for helping her cope with with kidney dysplasia, a debilitating illness that once led her to contemplate suicide. "He's seen me at my worst," she told Self magazine in December 2018. "I think that's why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that. It was a really intimate start to a relationship to have to go through those hurdles at the very, very, very beginning when you're just even getting to know a person." Adams, in return, called his girlfriend the "real-life version" of Wonder Woman that same month. "Imagine having a vital organ replaced. Imagine having 16 surgeries, going to hundreds of doctors visits and taking thousands of pills. Imagine losing crazy weight because of dialysis, medication side effects and stress. Then imagine, having to do it all over again. This time keeping it quiet while you recovered, all while trolls on the internet judged you for your appearance," the podcast host told Us Weekly exclusively of Hyland's health journey at the time. "Oh, and throw in filming the funniest show on TV and executive producing and starring in a movie … and never breaking down. Never losing it. I know Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman on film, but Sarah is the real-life version." Adams and Hyland got engaged in July 2019. "That can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff," the comedy actress captioned a photo from the beach proposal, quoting the 1995 film It Takes Two. But I think it’ll be a thing that eventually happens for sure.” He also noted that the airport TSA nearly ruined his proposal to the actress just months earlier. “I hid [the engagement ring] in my drone case and then when I flew into Fiji — if you have a drone, and they see it in the X-ray, they inspect it,” he recalled to Us. “I was really scared that they were going to open the drone case and she was going to see the box that said LS [for Lorraine Schwartz] and it was going to be over.” ![]() The couple celebrated their second anniversary by writing sweet tributes to each other on social media. "Two years ago I asked when you were going to ask me to be your girlfriend. This summer you asked me to be your wife. I can’t wait to marry you @wellsadams," the Modern Family star wrote via Instagram. "Happy two years baby #ToPlutoAndBack." In the comments section, Adams chimed in: "I love you +1 anything you say." He also posted his own message on his personal account, adding: "I knew I was gonna marry her the 1st night I met her. But I guess how anniversary’s work, it’s when you decide to become boyfriend/girlfriend. Whatever, I lost that battle. There's no one else I'd rather be quarantining with," the actress wrote at the time. "Being with you literally 24/7 over the past several months has only made our relationship stronger and I'm so lucky to call you my fiancé. I love you to Pluto and back! Courtesy of Wells Adams/Instagram ![]() Adams opened up about how the coronavirus pandemic has changed the couple’s plans for their wedding, which was originally set for August 2020. “I don’t know if a lot of your fans know this, but [Sarah is] immunocompromised. She’s a transplant recipient, so she takes pills so that she doesn’t reject this new kidney in her body,” he explained on the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast. “We have to be super careful about the pandemic, more so than most people our age. We had to push it the first time around, that was tough. The thought was to push it to this year.” Although they intend to now say “I do” in the summer of 2021, he hinted at possible alternatives the pair have discussed in case they have to delay their in-person ceremony again. “If this thing continues and we’re not able to do it, we’ll do a courthouse. Queen Elizabeth II Holds Meeting at Windsor Castle Following Health Scare Posted: 24 Nov 2021 10:00 AM PST Staying strong. Queen Elizabeth II‘s health has been the subject of much speculation after she completed a short hospital stay in October, but the 95-year-old royal isn’t ready to slow down too much. The monarch first sparked concern after she walked with a cane during an October 12 appearance at Westminster Abbey in London for a Service of Thanksgiving. When the queen arrived at the church, her daughter, Princess Anne, handed her the accessory. Earlier in the month, Elizabeth walked on her own during a visit to Scotland with her eldest son, Prince Charles. The royal matriarch is also the mother of Prince Andrew and Prince Edward with her late husband, Prince Philip, who died at age 99 in April. Three weeks after her Scottish appearance, the monarch canceled a trip to Northern Ireland after her medical team recommended that she take it easy. "The Queen has reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days," Buckingham Palace said in an October 20 statement, adding that she was "in good spirits" and "disappointed" to miss the planned events. One day later, a spokesperson for the palace revealed that Elizabeth spent the night in the hospital after canceling her Northern Ireland plans. "Following medical advice to rest for a few days, The Queen attended hospital on [October 20] for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits," Buckingham Palace said in a statement on October 21. The queen seemed to recuperate within a few days, returning to work on October 26 to receive ambassadors from Korea and Switzerland via video link. Later that day, however, Buckingham Palace confirmed that she would not attend an upcoming event in Scotland. "Her Majesty is disappointed not to attend the reception but will deliver an address to the assembled delegates via a recorded video message," the palace said in a statement. The monarch was set to appear at a reception on November 1 with other world leaders, including President Joe Biden and U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Earlier in October, news broke that the queen previously declined an award called Oldie of the Year presented by The Oldie magazine. "Her Majesty believes you are as old as you feel," Tom Laing-Baker, the royal’s assistant private secretary, wrote in a letter that The Oldie shared via social media on October 19. “As such the Queen does not believe she meets the relevant criteria to be able to accept and hopes you find a more worthy recipient." I think the whole country wishes her well.” Alastair Grant/AP/Shutterstock ![]() The queen quelled fears about her health when she went out for a drive on Monday, November 1.
