His Final Rose! Bachelor's Ben Higgins Marries Jessica Clarke Posted: 13 Nov 2021 03:55 PM PST Next chapter! Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke are married more than one year after he proposed. The newlyweds exchanged vows on Saturday, November 13, at Cherokee Dock in Nashville, People reports with plenty of Bachelor Nation couples in attendance, including Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs and Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes. Earlier this month, Higgns, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly that Chase McNary, Blake Horstmann, Elyse Dehlbom, Shawn Booth, Chris Soules, Nick Viall, Wells Adams and Becca Tilley would also be joining the festivities. Leading up to their wedding day, the couple kept their social media followers updated on their plans — and counted down the days until they’d say “I do.” In August, the former Bachelor sent Clarke packing for her bachelorette party. “Kiss your single days goodbye @jessclarke_ because I’m putting a ring on that finger and we ain’t ever taking it off!” he teased in an Instagram post as his then-fiancée puckered up to a cardboard cutout of his face. “Happy #bachelorette weekend you beautiful gift to this earth you!” In the comments, Clarke gushed, “I’m the luckiest girl in the world.” The “Almost Famous” podcast cohost met his now-wife through Instagram following his May 2017 split from Lauren Bushnell, to whom he got engaged at the end of The Bachelor‘s 20th season. He proposed to Clarke in March 2020. “We’re great. It’s fun. It’s just healthy. … I think she would say the same. Our relationship is healthy,” Higgins told Us Weekly exclusively two months before he got down on one knee. “I’m a better version of myself, a more free version of myself than I’ve been in a while.” In May 2020, the Alone In Plain Sight author and Clarke revealed that they made a big decision early on in their romance to abstain from sex until marriage. “It wasn’t a hard conversation or a weird one,” she told Us exclusively. “I think as we got more serious, it became a bigger conversation.” Higgins noted that they made the choice “within the first two weeks” of dating, adding, “It’s just something that we both felt comfortable talking to each other about. I forget the exact scenario that it came up. … We had talked about it and agreed to it. … Like, we still have the desires and we still have the emotions and the physical desires to love each other.” The goal proved to be not such a challenge. In December 2020, Clarke shared an update on the couple’s living situation, revealing that the Indiana native was staying elsewhere despite them purchasing a home together. “Last week I started the moving process to Colorado and into our FIRST HOME!” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “The house is empty, but it’s ours! I’ll be living in it and making it into our little home until Ben joins me after the wedding. I can’t wait to share all of the little projects.” With their ceremony behind them, the pair are looking forward to growing their family — and Higgins already has a vision for starting the process. “We’ll have kids some way, either biological or not biological. We will have a family,” he told Us earlier this month. “Just because she’s 26, I’m 32. If I had, like, an ideal timeline where I got to pick, it would be two years when we’d start thinking about it. … We’ve obviously abstained from sex for three years, so we are off to a fast start on trying to start a family.” |
Meghan King ‘Adores’ Husband Cuffe Owens In Sweet Birthday Tribute Posted: 13 Nov 2021 01:10 PM PST When you know, you know! Meghan King and Cuffe Owens went from zero to 60 with their relationship after meeting on a dating app in September 2021. "Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together," King told Brides in October 2021 of the couple's beginnings. "We didn't leave each other's side for weeks." Us Weekly later confirmed that the Real Housewives of Orange County alum met Owens less than one month before the couple walked down the aisle in October 2021. Their whirlwind romance came as a surprise to some because King made her relationship with the attorney Instagram official just a few weeks earlier. "Her family is a bit shocked that she tied the knot so quickly," a source exclusively told Us after the duo's nuptials, which were attended by Owens' uncle President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden. King's three children, daughter Aspen and twin sons Hart and Hayes, whom she shares ex-husband Jim Edmonds, were also at the intimate ceremony. "Our wedding was about two things for us," the "Intimate Knowledge" podcast host told Brides of her and Owens' big day. "Our love for and commitment to each other, and our family — each of our families, and the new very large and very tight family that we were bonding together by getting married. That's it." The wedding, which took place at Owens' parents' home in Pennsylvania, is the TV personality's third wedding. She was previously married to college sweetheart Brad McDill from 2007 to 2011 before getting hitched a second time to Edmonds in October 2014. The pair called it quits in October 2019, finalizing their divorce in May 2021. King revealed via Instagram in October 2021 that she and Owens "just knew" they were meant to be. "Our vision was of an intimate and simple gathering — no major frills, no overthinking, no drama,” she told the magazine of their small event. "We both knew exactly what we were going to do, where we were going to do it, and how we were going to do it. It's a beautiful thing to see eye-to-eye with each other as we do.” Scroll down to relive King and Owens' relationship highs and lows: ![]() “[We] texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke,” King told Brides, revealing the pair met on a dating app. “By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours.” AFF-USA/Shutterstock ![]() “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like ‘my main squeeze’… so just meet my man. ❤️,” the former Bravo star wrote via Instagram, introducing her followers to her new beau. The entrepreneur let the public know that she was planning an epic celebration for her wedding. "It's gonna be, like, a three-day affair. We have a lot happening," she said in September during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon about her "very stressful" wedding planning. On the Mend! Tayshia Adams Shares Health Update After Hospitalization Posted: 13 Nov 2021 12:26 PM PST ![]() Feeling better! Despite speculation that Tayshia Adams' recent hospital stay was related to her recent 2021 New York City Marathon finish, she has since cleared up the rumors while sharing a health update. "Number one, I don't want you guys to think that this had anything to do with the marathon because it actually doesn't. … Stop associating this with the marathon. It had nothing to do with it," the former Bachelorette, 31, explained in a series of Instagram Story videos on Saturday, November 13 while discussing her health. "Oh my gosh, I'm finally feeling somewhat decent [today]." In the social media footage, the Bachelorette cohost detailed her symptoms, noting that she immediately visited her physician, who then referred her to the emergency room ahead of the Thursday, November 11 news of her hospital stay. "I actually feel amazing post-marathon," Adams said in her social media upload. "I feel like I've recovered quite well. I've explained in my Stories the other day that, you know, Monday and Tuesday was really, like, the bulk of my pain from the marathon, but on Wednesday I was wearing heels and I truthfully was feeling great, but then that night, I had gone to bed and I was, like, tossing and turning all night because of stomach pain." ![]() The California native, who noted her usually high pain tolerance, couldn't "sit up straight" as she was crouched over in substantial discomfort. "Just to preface, I was experiencing a little bit of pain a couple of days prior, but nothing like this," she recalled. "It was like level 9.5, 10 pain … So, it was something I never experienced before." During her hospital visit, the medical team was able to eliminate certain causes for her discomfort. "Thankfully, we were able to rule out things like it's my appendix or kidney stones," Adams continued. "[It] just looks like it was a really bad kidney infection, which, also not really good. They were thinking about possibly keeping me overnight just because my pain kept coming back, but I thought it'd be best to go back home, sleep in my own bed [and] do all those things." She continued in her post, "So, I have medication [and] I've kind of just been laying low, like, laying in bed just because my stomach still feels kind of wonky. It's getting better. Not a Fan! Busy Philipps Slams Chris Pratt’s Controversial Instagram Tribute Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:12 AM PST ![]() Not a fan? Amid Chris Pratt's recent online criticism regarding a tribute to wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, Busy Philipps has shared her thoughts on its odd messaging. "I knew him in the before times, I don't know him now," the Girls5eva star, 42, dished on the Tuesday, November 9, episode of her "Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best” podcast, while discussing the recent controversy surrounding the Parks and Recreation alum, 42. "Holy s—t! Either like you're the dumbest mothef—ker on Earth, or you're a real righteous a—hole," she said, alleging that when they previously hang out, he "drank a lot." While the Dawson's Creek alum stated that she remembered Pratt being both super nice and funny, she was perplexed by his recent Instagram post, calling it "weird" and noted that she did not "understand any of it." "My ladies, you're probably not the type of lady that will laugh enthusiastically if you're with a man and he starts to make very tired gender jokes about responsibilities and duties and even, like, the f—king tired bit that he's doing which is, 'She runs the show I occasionally open a bag of pickles,'" she explained during the podcast episode. "That's how f—king dumb what he said is. You are a Marvel superhero. You made $480 million last year. You work non-stop. You don't just open a f—king jar of pickles, you motherf—ker … I hate it so much." The former Busy Tonight host didn't stop there, even noting that his post was an example of men "acknowledging their power" and "patronizing their spouse." "What she does in their household is probably a lot. She probably does a lot of the domestic labor," Phillipps speculated. "They have a kid and whatever. That is actually legitimately a lot of f—king work. But by the way, he's talking about himself, putting himself in it, in the center of it. It makes it seem like it's bulls—t. He has possessions, and she is one of them." The Guardians of the Galaxy star previously shared a tribute to the Gift of Forgiveness author, 31, earlier this month. "Guys. For real. Look how she's looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?," Pratt wrote via Instagram on November 3. "We met in church. She's given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that's love!" He continued at the time, "She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That's the trade. Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot. It's her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don't get her anything, I'll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey. " His wife — whom he wed in June 2019 — replied, "Oh wow. It's only when I'm eating CEREAL but i love you." ![]() Shortly after the Tomorrow War actor's emotional social media message, several fans began criticizing him, believing his words about having a "gorgeous healthy daughter" was a dig at ex-wife Anna Faris — to whom he was married from 2009 to 2018 — and their son Jack, 9, who was born premature, nine weeks early, and dealt with several health conditions. Following the online drama, Pratt's mother-in-law weighed with her fervent support for the Jurassic World star. "I want to remind you today what a good man you are," Maria Shriver commented on the Avengers: Infinity War star's original Instagram post on Saturday, November 7. "What a great father you are to Jack and Lyla, what a great husband you are to Katherine [and] what a great son in law you are to me and what a great sense of humor you have!!" Shriver, 66, added in her comment, "I love you Chris, keep being your wonderful self, rise above the noise. Your kids love [you,] your family loves you [and] your wife loves you. What a beautiful life, I'm proud of you xo." |
Everything Jen Aniston Has Said About Love, Relationships and Heartbreak Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:00 AM PST Jennifer Aniston is well known for her memorable TV and movie roles and has often withstood public scrutiny of her life. In 1994, her hit sitcom Friends catapulted Aniston into the spotlight, where she has remained. From her fashion and style impact on generations of women to her 35 million Instagram followers, she has been an influential force for over 25 years. The actress is relatable and continues to draw the interest of the public. Despite winning numerous industry awards, the Morning Show star's love life has also been captivating for fans. Many of Aniston's past relationships have been with fellow celebrities, creating an even bigger spotlight on the men in her life. The first of her relationships to hit the tabloids was with fellow actor Tate Donovan. The Upside star admitted to InStyle magazine that he never saw Friends and didn't really know her. After three years of dating, the couple became engaged in 1998 but split soon after. Unfortunately, just as their romance was ending, Donovan joined the cast of Friends as Rachel Green's love interest, Joshua Burgin. The breakup caused conflict on the set and resulted in Donovan's character only lasting six episodes. He shared exclusively with Us Weekly in 2018 that the duo asked to end his run on the show following the split. "We were like, 'Hey, can we not keep doing this? 'Cause this is really painful and tough,'" Donovan recalled to Us. Following her romance with the O.C. alum, Aniston began dating Brad Pitt after they were set up by their respective agents. Branded a power couple, they were deemed one of the most successful Hollywood marriages at the time. When they split in 2005 after five years, it definitely sparked some controversy as he quickly moved on with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie. Justin Theroux, meanwhile, is the Along Came Polly star's most recent serious romance. The pair met on the set of Tropic Thunder in 2007 but did not start dating until years later after starring alongside each other in Wanderlust in 2019. They tied the knot in 2015 but announced the end of their relationship two years later. Although fans were devastated by the split, the pair have remained great friends, reuniting on many occasions. The Leftovers alum posted a thoughtful Instagram in 2019 for the Cake star's 50th birthday, writing, “Happy Birthday to this fierce Woman. Fiercely loving. Fiercely kind. ….and fiercely funny. Aniston has been upfront about her love life over the years. Scroll down for some of the advice she has shared about love and relationships. ![]() Aniston spoke about ex Daniel McDonald, who sadly passed away in 2007, in a 2015 interview with The New York Times, noting that he could have been “The One” if she was older and wiser. "He was my first love — five years we were together. He would have been the one,” the Emmy winner said at the time. “But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin to make up for it all." It’s good to have someone have your back.” Yoan Valat/EPA/Shutterstock ![]() Although they spent much of their time in the Hollywood spotlight, Aniston and Pitt did average couple things like everyone else. “It’s like the ebb and flow of every relationship,” she told Vanity Fair in 2005. “It’s hard; it gets easy; it gets fun again. What’s hard to sustain is some ideal that it’s perfect. That’s ridiculous. What’s fantastic about marriage is getting through those ebbs and flows with the same person, and looking across the room and saying, ‘I’m still here. And I still love you.’ You re-meet, reconnect. You have marriages within marriages within marriages. That’s what I love about marriage. That’s what I want in marriage.” Alan Davidson/Shutterstock ![]() Aniston has responded to questions about the infamous love triangle between herself, Pitt and Jolie. “[My therapist’s] major focus is that you get one day of being a victim — and that’s it. Then we take responsibility for our own input. To live in a victim place is pointing a finger at someone else, as if you have no control. Relationships are two people; everyone is accountable. A lot goes into a relationship coming together, and a lot goes into a relationship falling apart,” the Marley and Me star shared with Vanity Fair.” She’d say, ‘Even if it’s 98 percent the other person’s fault, it’s 2 percent yours, and that’s what we’re going to focus on.’ You can only clean up your side of the street.” Shutterstock(3) ![]() Aniston also detailed her divorce in the VF interview. “There are many stages of grief,” she told the magazine. “It’s sad, something coming to an end. It cracks you open, in a way—cracks you open to feeling. When you try to avoid the pain, it creates greater pain. I’m a human being, having a human experience in front of the world. I wish it weren’t in front of the world. I try really hard to rise above it.” Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock ![]() The Dumplin’ star has gained some wisdom from multiple heartbreaks, which has been helpful moving forward. "Having experienced everything you don't want in a partner over time, it starts to narrow down to what you actually do want," she said during an interview with InStyle. "As I get older, I realize what qualities are important in love and what suits me. And what I won't settle for." Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() The Echo Films cofounder learned a lot from her divorce from Pitt and takes some responsibility for her part in the couple’s romantic demise. “I wouldn’t give over so much of myself, which I did at times,” she told Vanity Fair. “I love taking care of people, and I definitely put his needs before mine sometimes … somewhere along the way, you sort of lose yourself.” Alex Berliner/BEI/Shutterstock ![]() There is love and then there is forever love. The Good Girl actress confessed to Vanity Fair that she will always love the Ocean’s Twelve star. “I still feel so lucky to have experienced it. I wouldn’t know what I know now if I hadn’t been married to Brad. I love Brad; I really love him. I will love him for the rest of my life,” Aniston shared at the time. “He’s a fantastic man. I don’t regret any of it, and I’m not going to beat myself up about it. We spent seven very intense years together; we taught each other a lot — about healing and about fun. We helped each other through a lot, and I really value that. It was a beautiful, complicated relationship.” Shutterstock(2) ![]() The SAG winner raved about enjoying being single in her 50s during an interview with Bruce Bozzi on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy in 2021. "I didn’t want to [date] for a long time and I loved really being my own woman without being a part of a couple,” she said. “I’ve been part of a couple since I was 20 so there was something really nice about taking the time." Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() Aniston acknowledges she has learned over the years what she is looking for in a future relationship. "The ease at which the conversation flows the first time, that’s kind of a good indicator. Confidence, but not a cockiness. Humor, please, I beg of you,” she said on Radio Andy. “Generous, kind to people. You know … very few necessities required.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock |
Chris Daughtry Postpones Concert Tour After Sudden Death of His Daughter Posted: 13 Nov 2021 08:39 AM PST ![]() Grieving a heartbreaking loss. Chris Daughtry‘s band Daughtry has canceled their forthcoming performances after the death of his stepdaughter, Hannah. She was 25. "Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry's daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed," a Friday, November 12, statement on the band's official Instagram page read. "The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time." The post continued, "Further details will be made available at a later date. The investigation into this tragic death is still ongoing." The American Idol alum, 41, postponed his Friday show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and flew home to Nashville after learning that Hannah was found dead in her home, according to reports. Deanna Daughtry, who wed the "It's Not Over" musician in November 2000, opened up about her heartbreaking loss in an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, November 13. "My first born. I love you endlessly Hannah," the massage therapist, 47, captioned a gallery of family photos. "Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of my daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken.” ![]() Deanna welcomed daughter Hannah and son Griffin, 23, with a past partner before she met the "Heavy Is the Crown" crooner. Following their 2000 nuptials, the couple — who celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary earlier this month — later welcomed twins Adalynn and Noah, now 10. The Grammy nominee previously announced in July 2010 that he and Deanna were expecting twins via surrogate. “Big news — Deanna and I are havin’ a boy and a girl," the rocker announced via video blog on the band's website at the time. “We’re very excited about that. We do have names picked out but we're going to keep them to ourselves until further notice." The post noted, "Due to Deanna’s partial hysterectomy in 2006, the couple used IVF and had their embryos transferred to a gestational surrogate." Since growing their family, Chris has continued gushing about fatherhood, which even inspired several of his musical tracks, including "I'll Fight" and "Waiting for Superman." "I think every dad probably feels this way about their kids: No matter how old they get or how young they are, you're always going to be there to fight for them, and you're always going to be there to pick them up when they fall down," he told Rolling Stone in November 2013. "'Waiting For Superman' is not necessarily about a superhero, but it's definitely using that archetype as a metaphor for waiting for that person to be what you need them to be — you know, to step up and be that strength. My wife and my daughter were certainly my muses for the lyrical content of that song." Chris' self-titled band released their sixth album, Dearly Beloved, in September and kicked off their Dearly Beloved Tour earlier this month ahead of the postponement news. |
Meghan Markle Was Concerned Over Prince Harry’s ‘Berating’ From Royal Family Posted: 13 Nov 2021 07:25 AM PST ![]() Protecting her husband. Amid Meghan Markle's ongoing lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited, the former actress' texts reveal how concerned she was about husband Prince Harry's wellbeing following her drama with father Thomas Markle. Several of the 40-year-old Suits alum's texts and emails to her former communications chief were released by London’s Court of Appeal on Friday, November 12, as the Duchess of Sussex detailed her plans to write a note to her 77-year-old father after it made headlines that he would skip her May 2018 royal wedding to the 37-year-old Duke of Sussex. “The catalyst for my doing this is seeing how much pain this is causing H,” Meghan allegedly wrote via text in August 2018, according to NBC News. “Even after a week with his dad [Prince Charles] and endlessly explaining the situation, his family seem to forget the context — and revert to ‘can’t she just go and see him and make this stop?'” The Northwestern University alum continued, “They fundamentally don’t understand so at least by writing H will be able to say to his family … ‘She wrote him a letter and he is still doing it.’ By taking this form of action I protect my husband from this constant berating, and while unlikely perhaps it will give my father a moment to pause.'” In the texts, the Bench author further discussed her reasoning for writing the letter to the former lighting director, noting, “Obviously everything I have drafted is with the understanding that it could be leaked so I have been meticulous in my word choice." Shortly before the pair's nuptials, the former Hallmark actress wrote a five-page, handwritten note to Thomas, which was publicly shared in February 2019, as she discussed her emotions regarding their estrangement. "Daddy, It is with a heavy heart that I write this, not understanding why you have chosen to take this path, turning a blind eye to the pain you're causing," Meghan wrote in her letter, which was dated August 2018, months before the royal couple's lavish wedding. "Your actions have broken my heart into a million pieces — not simply because you have manufactured such unnecessary and unwarranted pain, but by making the choice to not tell the truth as you are puppeteered in this. Something I will never understand." Thomas, who leaked the private letter to the Daily Mail, noted he hadn’t previously intended to "out of respect" for his daughter, but felt he was forced to because of false claims about himself. "I thought it would be an olive branch. Instead, it was a dagger to the heart," Thomas told the U.K. newspaper at the time. Following the release of her emotional letter, the mother of two — she shares Archie, 2, and Lilibet, 5 months, with Harry — was heartbroken to learn of its unexpected publication. "Meghan really hoped Thomas wouldn't leak the letter," a source exclusively told Us Weekly that February. "She finds it absolutely heartbreaking that her own flesh and blood continues to profit from her." Since then, Meghan and Thomas have not had the smoothest of relationships, which she addressed during her and the military veteran's bombshell tell-all interview earlier this year. "I grieve a lot," she said during the CBS special in March. "I mean, I've lost my father. I lost a baby. I nearly lost my name. I mean, there's the loss of identity. But I'm still standing, and my hope for people in the takeaway from this is to know that there's another side." She added at the time, "That, for me, has really resonated, especially now as a mother. And also me saying just full stop, 'If we use this to protect you, we won't be able to protect our own children one day, well, I'm talking about your grandchildren. … I look at Archie, I think about this child and I genuinely can't imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can't imagine it. So it's hard for me to reconcile that." |
Lynda Carter: 25 Things You Don't Know About Me! Posted: 13 Nov 2021 05:00 AM PST ![]() Not just a superhero. There are some things even Lynda Carter‘s biggest fans might not know about her — and the original Wonder Woman actress spilled her secrets to Us Weekly exclusively. Carter, 70, recently revealed that inspiration struck for her new single, “Human and Divine,” while she played Asteria in 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984. The Arizona native appeared in just two scenes as the only Amazonian like Diana (Gal Gadot) who left the island of Themyscira for the mortal world, but the cameo made an impact on her music. "As I was cast as Asteria in the movie, [the song] became about the love between Steve and Diana and then the love that some of us are so lucky enough to have in our lives, the great love stories over the ages," Carter told American Songwriter in October. "My hope is that this song will inspire your connection to your own love in your life." Carter played Diana Prince on the CBS TV series from 1975 to 1979 and released her latest song, available to download and stream now, as the DC Comics character celebrated her 80th anniversary last month. The songstress will return to the big screen in Wonder Woman 3 alongside Gadot, 38. "Lynda has mentored me from the very first moment that I got cast as Wonder Woman,” the Red Notice actress told The Hollywood Reporter on Sunday, November 7. “She was always there, talking to me, giving me tips and everything. She's a true champion of what Patty [Jenkins] and I have been doing, and it was so great that we managed to find the right opportunity to bring her to the last movie and now to the third one.” Scroll down to learn 25 things you don’t know about Carter — including why she hasn’t tried on her Wonder Woman costume in years: 1.
