‘Proud!’ Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Are All Smiles at Salute to Freedom Gala Posted: 10 Nov 2021 05:15 PM PST ![]() Happy couple! Meghan Markle was all smiles as she supported her husband, Prince Harry, at the Salute to Freedom Gala in New York City. The twosome walked hand in hand on the red carpet outside of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Wednesday, November 10, ahead of the festivities. "I'm always proud of him," Meghan, 40, told reporters of Harry, 37, before heading into the event. Meghan wore a red, V-neck gown and matching red heels. She donned a poppy pin on the left side of the dress as she posed for photos alongside her husband. The poppy is a symbol of remembrance for veterans and those who served in the U.K. The prince, who is presenting Intrepid Valor Awards to five service members, veterans and military families at the gala, wore a navy suit, matching bowtie and a poppy on his lapel next to his medals of honor. The duo stopped on the carpet to chat with some of the night's recipients, according to royal reporter Omid Scobie. The Duke of Sussex served in the U.K. army for 10 years, rising to the rank of captain before his 2015 retirement. He was deployed to Afghanistan for two tours during his time in the service. Earlier this week, Harry spoke out against people who reacted negatively to his and Meghan's departure from the U.K. and their subsequent relocation to the U.S. in 2020. "Maybe people know this and maybe they don't, but the term 'Megxit' was or is a misogynistic term, and it was created by a troll, amplified by royal correspondents, and it grew and grew and grew into mainstream media," Harry said during a panel at Wired's Re:Wired Conference on Tuesday, November 9, according to Vanity Fair. "But it began with a troll." The former pilot explained that the term is harmful and like many things online, its spread comes from misinformation. Harry addressed the hate speech that his wife has experienced since marrying him in May 2018, pointing to the similar attacks his late mother, Princess Diana, faced. "I know the story all too well. I lost my mother to this self-manufactured rabidness, and I don't want to lose the mother of my children to the same thing," the royal continued, referencing his and Meghan's two children: son Archie, 2, and daughter Lilibet, 5 months. The Invictus Games founder explained that he and the Bench author had become targets of a coordinated social media campaign, revealing that a recent Bot Sentinel study showed that more than 70 percent of the "hate speech" about the Suits alum was "driven by fewer than 50 accounts." |
Sister Wives' Robyn Brown Feels 'Guilt' Over Christine and Kody's Split Posted: 10 Nov 2021 03:58 PM PST ![]() After the storm. Christine Brown may be thriving after her split from husband Kody Brown, but now her fellow sister wives are dealing with the aftermath of her departure. Robyn Brown, who joined the polygamous family in May 2010 as Kody’s fourth wife, is particularly feeling the sting, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly, adding, “She secretly knows that she’s the one to blame for the separation, so obviously there’s some guilt there.” As the most recent addition to the Brown clan, Robyn, 43, has dealt with her fair share of drama over the years. When Kody, 52, began courting her over a decade ago, his other wives didn’t hold back about their frustration with the new arrangement. “I don’t wanna be a boat rocker, and I don’t like my boat rocked,” Christine, 49, said during a season 1 episode of Sister Wives in 2010. “I’m a little hesitant to accept another wife. But if it happens, then she just has to be absolutely amazing. Otherwise, it might be a little difficult.” When Robyn joined the family, she became Kody’s first new wife in 16 years. He married Meri Brown in 1990, Janelle Brown in 1993 and Christine in 1994. Because polygamy is not legal in the United States, only his union with Meri, 50, was recognized by law. Robyn’s arrival, however, necessitated a change of plans because Kody wanted to legally adopt her three children from a previous relationship: David, 21, Aurora, 19, and Breanna, 17. To do so, he divorced Meri in September 2014 and officially married Robyn three months later. Earlier this month, a source told Us that the close relationship between Kody and Robyn was one of the main reasons Christine decided to leave her husband. “She's been in the process of leaving him for a while,” the insider explained. “The big reason why she split from him is because Kody has been completed devoted to Robyn for the past five or six years. That hasn't changed at all.” Christine announced her split from Kody via Instagram on November 2. “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave," she wrote at the time. "We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family.” Kody, for his part, wrote, "Christine's decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her.” None of the other sister wives have spoken out about the breakup, but the first source tells Us that Robyn is hopeful that “she and Christine can have some sort of friendship going forward.” For now, though, Christine seems to be enjoying her time on her own. “I feel like a much better person divorced than I ever did, and life is so great,” she said in a Cameo video she recently recorded for a fan. “It's a phenomenal world.” Sister Wives season 16 premieres on TLC Sunday, November 21, at 10 p.m. E.T. Sister Wives' Christine Brown: Kody Brown Split Was a 'Long Time Coming' Posted: 10 Nov 2021 01:46 PM PST ![]() Starting a new chapter. Christine Brown opened up about how she feels after announcing her split from her husband, Kody Brown — and it sounds like she’s thriving. The Sister Wives star, 49, got candid about the breakup in a Cameo video she recently recorded for a fan. “Thank you for supporting me with leaving Kody,” the TLC personality said in the message. “The decision was a long time coming, and I feel like a much better person divorced than I ever did, and life is so great.” Christine added that she “had no idea life could be simple,” asking her 25-year-old daughter, Mykelti, for confirmation that marriage could be easy. “It’s a phenomenal world,” she continued. “And I just hope that Kody and I can still remain friends during all of this, because we’ve been still [really] communicating with each other and stuff. I mean, good and bad days — don’t get me wrong.” The reality star announced her split from Kody, 52, on November 2 — three weeks before the premiere of season 16 of their family’s TLC series. “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote via Instagram. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.” In addition to Mykelti, the pair, who married in March 1994, share children Aspyn, 26, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11. “Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her,” Kody wrote in his own statement on November 2. “Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.” In her Cameo, Christine reiterated that she plans to keep things civil with her former spouse as they coparent their children. “We have a life still together after this because we have kids to raise, and Truely’s 11,” she explained. “We have to just be good and amiable and things like that. I think it’s just important to remember that.” During the season 15 finale in April, Christine seemed to reach her breaking point with the family and told them that she wanted to move back to Utah — something no one agreed with. After breaking down in tears, she admitted to fellow sister wife Meri Brown, "I can't do marriage with Kody anymore," later adding, "I don't want to. … It's not enough." ![]() One month earlier, Christine exclusively told Us Weekly that she wouldn't trade her plural marriage to Kody for a monogamous relationship. "It's so out there and beyond my understanding to have a guy around every night," she said in March. "I felt, like, it would cramp my style a lot because I've never had that. As soon as Kody and I married, I was the third wife." She added, "I really liked the independence that I have, and I love the freedom that I have." At the time of Christine and Kody's union, he had already been legally married to Meri, 50, since 1990. He was also in a spiritual marriage with Janelle Brown, which happened in 1993. He later legally divorced Meri in 2014 in order to marry his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, and adopt her children. He remains in a spiritual bond with Meri despite legally separating. Inside Ginny & Georgia's Brianne Howey's Aruba Getaway With Matt Ziering Posted: 10 Nov 2021 01:40 PM PST The perfect getaway! After saying “I do” earlier this year, Brianne Howey and Matt Ziering enjoyed a romantic escape to Aruba. “Aruba was a dream come true,” Howey, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly about her special trip while discussing her partnership with the Aruba Honeymoon First Sweepstakes. “We had a private sailing experience, we did paddle boards, snorkeling, jet skis and we ate out every night. It was just truly magical and so romantic. Neither one of us had been there, so it’s always fun to explore somewhere new together. It was really, really lovely.” The pair, who tied the knot in July, also explored the relaxing options that came with staying in Aruba. “Aruba is actually the oldest producer of aloe, so they incorporate a lot of aloe treatments. The beaches are the most calming thing ever,” the Exorcist alum noted to Us. “The sand is actually so white and the waters are so blue. There’s these beautiful trade winds that are going so you can actually sit in the sun without feeling like you’re melting.” The Ginny & Georgia star found the vacation to be a one of a kind trip that isn’t only for couples looking to get away. “I think it’s the most ideal honeymoon location for young couples, especially. I mean it is incredibly family-friendly,” Howey shared. “So getting to kind of pick up and go and explore and be active, but also, [have] a glass of wine watching these incredible orange sunsets is really spectacular. I’m definitely going to be zooming in on all of these pictures I took while I am sitting in Toronto all winter [filming season 2 of Ginny & Georgia].” The Batwoman star added that she “can’t wait when the time comes” for her to expand her family, but for now she is enjoying newlywed life. “It’s been really nice,” she revealed. “I was a little bit skeptical that it [wouldn’t] actually feel that different and it really does. It’s really nice.” For Howey and Ziering, who previously had to postpone their wedding because of COVID-19, getting to have a wedding ceremony inspired the actress to partner up with Aruba Honeymoon First Sweepstakes where others can win the same honeymoon experience. “Matt and I were super fortunate. We were able to get married this year, but because of the pandemic, almost like a million couples in the U.S. have had to postpone their weddings,” she told Us. “So if you are one of those couples, you qualify to win a free honeymoon trip to Aruba where you go on your honeymoon first, and then you worry about the stress of wedding planning.” From now through Monday, November 15, couples can enter to win a honeymoon trip to Aruba! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Ups and Downs Through the Years Posted: 10 Nov 2021 01:32 PM PST Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have experienced both highs and lows in their years-long relationship. Kardashian and West met in the early 2000s when he was recording a song with her pal Brandy, a singer who is also the older sister to Ray J — the KKW Beauty mogul's ex. The duo reconnected years later after her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries ended. At the time, Kardashian visited Paris to attend West's fashion show. "Right before I got married to Kris Humphries, [Kanye and I] were talking and I just went a different direction. I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted," she explained on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians 10th anniversary special in 2017. "After my breakup, I was feeling really low and down and he said, 'Just come to Paris and see my fashion show.'" The businesswoman added, "He jokes that he put on this whole fashion show just to get a date with me. So, I went there and I stayed with him, and that’s where we started dating. I swear from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, 'Oh, my God. Why didn't I do this sooner?' Like, this is what real life is like — love and fun and real support." The twosome began dating in the spring of 2012 and Us Weekly confirmed that December that Kardashian was expecting the pair's first child, North. Four months after welcoming North, the "Gold Digger" rapper proposed to Kardashian. The couple wed in Italy in May 2014. As their marriage progressed, the pair encountered issues when trying to grow their family. Though Kardashian gave birth to son Saint in 2015, she would welcome daughter Chicago in 2018 and son Psalm in 2019 via surrogate. "You get your surrogate attorney, you get your surrogate broker and then the broker recommended that we use a therapist that would communicate with me first and then communicate with her and kind of be our liaison," she explained on Laura Wasser's "All's Fair" podcast in February 2020. "Toward the end, we got close enough where we could communicate really without that." The pair continued to encounter and overcome hardships over the years, including Kardashian being held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016. West abruptly ended his New York concert and rushed to his wife's side upon hearing of the scary incident. In July 2020, the Grammy winner announced his run for the U.S. presidency. During his campaign rally in South Carolina, he revealed a very personal tidbit about how he and Kardashian considered aborting their daughter North. He then proceeded to go on a Twitter rant, during which he claimed that Kardashian tried to get a "doctor to lock me up" after his behavior at the South Carolina event. After months of split rumors, Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. She opened up to Allure in October 2017 about the possibility of carrying her third child, saying: “I would like to, but I’ve had lots and lots of complications. I had preeclampsia. And then I also had something called placenta accreta. We’ve explored surrogacy. We’re thinking about it.” Both Chicago and Psalm arrived via surrogate. Shutterstock ![]() Despite interrupting her 2009 VMAs acceptance speech, West and Swift later appeared to be on good terms. The “Lover” singer even presented him with an award at the 2015 VMAs. However, they encountered issues when West made an offensive statement about Swift in his 2016 track “Famous.” After Swift spoke out against the derogatory remark, Kardashian leaked footage of Swift seemingly giving West permission to use the lyric. Swift would go on to address the feud through songs on her Reputation album in 2017. Cut to June 2019, Swift called out Kardashian in a Tumblr post for having “orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked.” In the year that followed, full footage from the frenemies’ call was leaked and Swift claimed in her Instagram Stories that she “was telling the truth the whole time.” Meanwhile, Kardashian tweeted in her husband’s defense and alleged that Swift was “actually lying.” Shutterstock (3) ![]() Kardashian flew to France in October 2016 to attend Paris Fashion Week. Upon hearing the news, West abruptly left his set at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in New York. West told fans at the time, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Family emergency, I have to stop the show.” Kardashian would later recall the scary experience in a March 2017 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “I saw two guys holding another guy down in police uniforms, right outside of my bedroom, five feet away,” she explained. “So I slid off my bed and picked up my phone, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know how to call 911 in a different country.’ So I called [my bodyguard] Pascal [Duvier] and then the guy came in, grabbed the phone from me, and threw me on the bed. I was like, ‘This is it.’” Shutterstock (2) ![]() West was hospitalized for extreme exhaustion in November 2016 at the UCLA Medical Center. Just before his hospitalization, West ranted about Jay Z and Beyoncé at a concert in Sacramento, California. He also canceled the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour. A source told Us that his workload, Kardashian’s Paris robbery and the anniversary of his late mother’s death contributed to his breakdown. “He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris,” the insider said. “It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping, and he was having nightmares about it.” Shutterstock ![]() West made headlines for his controversial support of President Donald Trump. In April 2018, the rapper even referred to Trump as his “brother” and said that they share “dragon energy.” Though Kardashian claimed that she would not vote for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, she ultimately visited the White House to work alongside the former reality TV star to improve prison reform. Shutterstock ![]() West said on his 2018 album, Ye, that he suffers from bipolar disorder. He later opened up about his mental health struggles on David Letterman’s Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. “I wouldn’t be able to explain that as much just because, you know, I'm not a doctor,” he said in May 2019. “I can just tell you what I’m feeling at the time, and I feel a heightened connection with the universe when I’m ramping up. It is a health issue.” West added, “This — it’s like a sprained brain, like having a sprained ankle. And if someone has a sprained ankle, you’re not going to push on him more. With us, once our brain gets to a point of spraining, people do everything to make it worse.” Stephen Lovekin/WWD/Shutterstock ![]() The “Stronger” rapper purchased a ranch in Wyoming in November 2019. Later that month, he made headlines for a series of outrageous statements he made during a campaign rally in South Carolina. At the political event, he claimed that Harriet Tubman “never actually freed the slaves” and “just had the slaves go work for other white people.” He also stated that he “almost killed” daughter North via abortion. A source told Us that Kardashian was “deeply upset with Kanye for talking about their personal life and for making matters that are very personal to them and their family public.” MEGA ![]() After his South Carolina rally, West took to Twitter to post several rambling tweets. In one post, he claimed that Kardashian tried to get a doctor to “lock” him up after the comments he made at the political event. “She’s tried so hard to help him, but now Kim and her family feel as though he’s really crossed a line by talking negatively about them publicly and sharing private family matters with the public,” a source told Us. “She feels helpless at this point.” Shutterstock (2) ![]() After West made more claims about Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, via Twitter in July 2020, the KKW Beauty CEO released a statement about the musician’s struggles with bipolar disorder. “I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health,” she began via Instagram Stories. “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.” Kardashian went on to call West “brilliant but complicated,” noting he is under a lot of pressure. She added: “Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some. That is part of his genius and as we have all witnessed, many of his big dreams have come true.” After asking for “compassion and empathy,” the reality TV star signed her message, “Kim Kardashian West.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock ![]() After jetting off to the Dominican Republic together in August 2020, a source told Us that the pair are back on track. “Their vacation definitely helped put things at ease for the time being, but the issues they were dealing with go deeper than that and unfortunately won’t just be solved with a trip,” one source said. “Their marriage definitely faced some hardships and was just hanging on with Kanye not being able to fully be present for their family, but ultimately Kim wants to keep everyone together and work things out for their kids.” According to a second insider, Kardashian and West “agreed” to stop talking about politics while they work on their marriage. "Why am I still in this place where I'm stuck for years? Like, he goes and moves to a different state every year. I have to be, like, together so I can raise the kids. He's an amazing dad, he's done an amazing job. I just think he deserves someone who will support his every move and go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming. I can't do that. ... "You don't have to please everyone. As long as I'm myself and as long as I'm doing it the way that I want to, like, you have one life and you're living it for you. The singer, 36, who reconnected with Rob after her divorce from Mike Shay, would always praise her then-boyfriend for his handyman skills. After the exes called it quits in 2017, Scheana opened up about having to watch herself be so committed to the TV host on the Bravo show. "Obviously, you can't see every minute of every conversation … I know I look really stupid, and you know what? I was coming off a divorce,” the “Good as Gold” performer explained to her costar Ariana Madix on an episode of her podcast, “Scheananigans,” in March 2018. “I got back with someone who I felt was my soulmate and was the one … You can't fault me for being happy and being in love." ![]() Later that year, Scheana exclusively told Us Weekly that she didn’t want to see red flags when it came to her first relationship post-marriage. "With Rob, there was so many times that things didn't really [seem] right, but I ignored it. I ignored signs, I ignored other opinions," Scheana explained to Us in November 2018. "I was just like, 'No, no, no, this is perfect,' because I couldn't admit that me jumping into a relationship a month after a divorce was a bad idea. I couldn't admit that things weren't perfect. I just wanted everyone to think, 'Oh wow, this is her fairy tale ending, she got divorced and met the love of her life. And everyone lived happily ever after.' And that was not the case." The reality star found love with the rugby player in 2019 and Us confirmed in July that the pair got engaged. Scheana and Brock, who share daughter Summer Moon, 7 months, previously discussed her relationship with Rob. During a December 2019 episode of her podcast, Brock joked, "Seven minutes, thanks, mate. We can touch that one later," before adding, “It's a soft subject for me, for sure." For the Australia native, it was annoying to hear about Rob’s TV hanging accomplishment. "The f–king asshole makes me put up a TV in under 7 minutes, that's all I have to say about him," Brock said. "But he's a good guy." Scheana, for her part, clarified that she gave her ex a little more credit than he might have deserved. "To be clear, the framework was already drilled in the wall," she noted. "He simply took it out of the box, put it on, plugged it in, turned it on in under 7 minutes." |
Everything Kendra Wilkinson Has Said About Dating Since Hank Baskett Split Posted: 10 Nov 2021 12:06 PM PST Is her heart closed for business? Kendra Wilkinson has been an open book when it comes to her dating life after her split from ex-husband Hank Baskett. The reality star announced in April 2018 that she filed for divorce from the former NFL player after nearly nine years of marriage. The pair share son Hank IV and daughter Alijah. Since their divorce was finalized in February 2019, the Girls Next Door alum hasn’t gotten serious with anyone. She has, however, been very clear about what she doesn’t want. First on that list is former Bachelorette contestant Chad Johnson, to whom she was linked in early 2019 after the duo were spotted getting cozy while out to dinner in Los Angeles. "For the millionth time. I'm not dating right now," she tweeted in January of that year. "I'm basically a f—king virgin." After her best friend Jessica Hall told her about the rumors, the Sliding Into Home author replied, “My vagina is still very closed." "I want to see [Kendra] with a family man because that's all that she wants,” Hall told Us Weekly exclusively in September 2019. “She doesn't want the spotlight or the crazy success. She wants a guy that just wants to go camping and wants to take her and barbecue. She's so simple and I think a lot of people don't realize that about her, but she really wants the ultimate family guy and it's what she's always dreamed of and what she's going to continue to want, so I like that it has not changed and she has not changed." At the time, the Kendra on Top alum was focusing on her kids and career, even as Hall tried to set her up with some eligible bachelors. "I've mentioned a few things here and there," her friend told Us. "I wish I had a family member single, to be honest, so I could make her my real-life sister, but I don't. I mean, my husband does have an identical twin brother, but no." In April 2020, the California native — who was previously linked to philanthropist Donald "DJ" Friese — was spotted with a mystery man in Los Angeles, but a source told Us at the time that it was nothing serious. The insider added that she had been seeing someone that spring, but it was “more so a fling” than a serious relationship. "She wasn't spending all her free time with him and she [wasn't] super optimistic in terms of where their 'relationship' [was] going," the source explained in May 2020. Getting to know myself and even falling in love,” she wrote. “Love and happiness is real without waiting on someone or something to do it for you. Brown/Getty Images ![]() “The start of my show and the start of filming was [also] the start of my new … journey,” Wilkinson exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2021 of dating on her new show Kendra Sells Hollywood. “Everything just started all at once, including the decision to start dating. It just kinda happened. When those cameras turned on — and I was ready to start my new career — all my confidence just came back all at once. I don't know what happened. It wasn't ego. It was confidence.” The mother of two noted that her Discovery+ series is “all real” and will show her real estate career and love life post-split. “Hopefully I do get to, you know, unfold this new journey and meet someone and love someone and marry someone,” she explained. “I love to be married. I would marry again for sure.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock |

Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood fell in love after costarring on Supergirl, and thankfully, their relationship had a happier ending than their onscreen alter-egos'. The actor joined the CW series in season 2 as Mon-El, a love interest for the leading lady's Kara Danvers (a.k.a. the titular superhero). As their characters' romance blossomed on the show, so too did a spark develop between the portrayers. The duo were first linked in March 2017 after they were spotted at Los Angeles International Airport together. A week later, the twosome confirmed their relationship by showing PDA at the beach in Mexico. Things turned serious in February 2019 when Benoist and Wood announced their engagement. In six months' time, the couple walked down the aisle, making their union official. They waited until November 2019 to share photos from their wedding. "I'm always going to remember looking at you every five minutes on this day knowing both of us were thinking 'how in the world did we get so lucky?'" Benoist gushed via Instagram at the time. "I still don't understand how, but you prove to me every day that I'm one of the damn luckiest out there." The Glee alum briefly opened up about the nuptials during a November 2019 appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden. "It's great," she said of married life. "We had a really, really nice day. It was very special." She added that she didn't remember the highlight of the day, noting: "They don't lie when they tell you it goes like [snaps fingers] that." In March 2020, the Vampire Diaries alum and the Whiplash star surprised fans with news that they were expecting their first child. "A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!!" she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her holding up a baby shirt and Wood cradling one of their dogs. Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev: A Timeline of Their Relationship Posted: 10 Nov 2021 12:00 PM PST Dancing their way through life! Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev have been driving fans wild with their whirlwind romance following the professional wrestler's broken engagement to ex John Cena. Nearly seven months after Bella and Cena split for good in July 2018, Us Weekly confirmed that she and the Dancing With the Stars pro are dating, and had been seeing each other for "a while." The pair first met when they were partnered up on season 25 of the reality TV dance competition in 2017. At the time, the Total Divas alum and the Trainwreck actor were still going strong, with Cena even assuming Chigvintsev would be the one to choreograph his first dance with his then-fiancée at their wedding. "As far as dancing, I think he's probably gonna teach me my first dance," Cena told E! News in November 2017. "So hopefully I'll be able to take those tips from him there." After months of playing coy about their relationship, Bella confirmed her romance with Chigvintsev during an episode of Total Bellas in March 2019, and quickly went Instagram official with the dancer the following day. "Well after that season finale During the finale, Bella gushed over her newfound happiness as cameras panned to her jumping on the back of Chigvintsev's motorcycle. Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin's Relationship Timeline Posted: 10 Nov 2021 11:52 AM PST Not wasting any time! Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin tied the knot in January 2019 after a whirlwind two-and-a-half-month courtship. The nuptials came amid turmoil in the police officer's personal life stemming from past relationships. Before the country singer's wedding to McLoughlin, she was married to Blake Shelton from May 2011 to July 2015. News of his ex-wife's second marriage came as a shock to the Voice coach. "Blake found [out] about the wedding at the same time as everyone else did," a source told Us Weekly in February 2019, shortly after Lambert announced her new relationship status. Shelton, who has since moved on with Gwen Stefani, mentioned to the No Doubt singer that "the timing of Miranda's announcement of the marriage was certainly curious," according to an insider. However, "just because Miranda got married in a quickie situation doesn't change anything for Gwen and Blake." McLoughlin has a complicated past too. The New York City police officer got another woman pregnant while cheating on his fiancée, Jackie Bruno, his ex's mother, Carol Bruno, claimed in February 2019. "[Brendan] tried to deny it and then begged her to stay with him," she told Us at the time. "She was only going [abroad] for a few months to play [soccer], he was begging her to marry him before she left, even though he knew the girl was pregnant." McLoughlin welcomed a son with Kaihla Rettinger in November 2018, days after he met Lambert for the first time. The Grammy winner previously made headlines for getting close to musician Evan Felker while she was still in a relationship with Anderson East. Two weeks after Lambert split from East in April 2018, Us confirmed that she had moved on with Felker, who was still married to Staci Felker at the time. The duo divorced in August 2018 but later reconciled, welcoming their first child in 2021. Lambert has a history of moving fast in relationships, but she explained that her pace with McLoughlin was actually beneficial for the duo. "We didn't date very long before we got married. And so we sort of got to just really, really, really get to know each other," she said during a SiriusXM interview in February 2021. "It was just us two with no distraction, at my farm outside of Nashville. And so I was really thankful for it because it made us really strong." Bethenny Frankel Donates $10,000 to 9-Year-Old Astroworld Victim Posted: 10 Nov 2021 11:34 AM PST Paying tribute. After the fatal tragedy at Travis Scott's 2021 Astroworld Festival, at least eight attendees died — and more injured — following a crowd surge. Amid the ongoing investigation into the Friday, November 5, incident, several of the music festival's performers and attendees have shared their support for the victims and their loved ones. "I just want to send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night," the "Sicko Mode" rapper, 30, tearfully explained in a series of Instagram Story videos on Saturday, November 6. "You know, my fans, like, really mean the world to me and I always just really want to leave them with a positive experience and any time I can make out, you know, anything that's going on, I'd just stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need. I could just never imagine the severity of the situation." The Texas native continued in his post, "Everybody, continue to keep your prayers. I mean, I'm honestly just devastated and I could never imagine anything like this happening." Scott's partner, Kylie Jenner, attended her beau's set shortly before the incident occurred, sharing concert footage via Instagram Story at the time. The pregnant Kylie Cosmetics founder, 24, also took to the social media platform to share her prayers for Astroworld attendees who were impacted by the events. "Travis and I are broken and devastated," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum wrote in a statement on Sunday, November 7. "My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way [sic] by yesterday's events. And also for Travis, who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. … I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted." During the "Out West" performer's set at Houston's NRG Park, the crowd rushed the stage, causing a mass accident. "This is a tragic night," Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said during a news conference on Saturday. "We know that we had at least at least eight confirmed fatalities tonight and we had scores of individuals that were injured here in this event." Peña explained at the time that around 9:00 p.m. the crowd had "began to compress toward the front of the stage," causing panic and injuries. "At the start of the mass casualty incident, when it was triggered … We transferred 17 patients to the hospital," Peña said. "We won't know the cause of death of the eight that were confirmed until the medical examiner has completed his investigation, but we are in the process — Houston Police Department — is sending units to the hospitals to identify these patients." During the show, the "Escape Plan" crooner had paused his performance “three times” to ask what was going on, according to one source. "He asked for everybody in the area to go help them and bring them to the front," an insider told Us Weekly. "As soon as they were made aware of what was happening, they ended the performance in the interest of public safety." Astroworld Festival, which was scheduled to be a two-night event, canceled its Saturday lineup amid the ongoing investigation. "Our hearts are with the Astroworld Festival family tonight — especially those we lost and their loved ones," a social media statement via the event's official Twitter page read. "We are focused on supporting local officials however we can. As authorities mentioned in their press conference earlier, they are looking into the series of cardiac arrests that took place. Lauren Bushnell Tells Husband Chris Lane He’s ‘Aging Like Fine Wine’ Posted: 10 Nov 2021 11:33 AM PST Three years after Bachelor viewers watched Lauren Bushnell get engaged on national television, the former flight attendant confirmed that she was set to be married again — and this time, she headed to the altar with country singer Chris Lane. Bushnell shared the happy news on Instagram on June 18, 2019, as she praised her future husband. "I can't stop smiling "PS he wrote me a song The pair married in Nashville in October 2019, after less than a year together. The Oregon native was previously engaged to Bachelor season 20 star Ben Higgins, whose proposal to her was telecast in the season's March 2016 finale. Higgins and Bushnell then starred in the spinoff show Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? before ending their engagement in May 2017. That July, Bushnell started dating Devin Antin, but she and the real estate investor split in August 2018. Four months before calling it quits, she watched Lane perform at Stagecoach and even went backstage to hang out with him. Matt James' New Book Details What Didn't Make the Cut on 'The Bachelor' Posted: 10 Nov 2021 11:12 AM PST ![]() Starting a new chapter! Matt James is ready to reintroduce himself with his upcoming memoir, First Impressions: Off-Screen Conversations with a Bachelor on Race, Family, and Forgiveness. “It’s about a lot of the things that I wanted people to know about myself that didn’t make the final product [of The Bachelor],” the ABC Food Tours founder, 29, told Us Weekly exclusively on Tuesday, November 9, at Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton‘s Amazon Holiday Hosting Soirée in Brooklyn. “There’s a lot that needed to be shared … but I want a chance to share a little bit more of who I am and put context to a lot of the things that we scratched the surface of.” James announced the project via Instagram earlier this month, describing it as being “MY story, unedited.” He told Us on Tuesday that he’s “very excited” for fans of the franchise to get the full picture of his life when the book hits shelves in May 2022. The former athlete was named the first Black Bachelor in June 2020, which came as a shock to some viewers, who mostly knew him as Tyler Cameron‘s BFF. While James was initially in the running to appear on Clare Crawley‘s season 16 of The Bachelorette, he didn’t make the final cut of suitors. His search for The One came to an end in March and was jam-packed with drama surrounding front-runner (and eventual winner) Rachael Kirkconnell. The pair briefly split as the Georgia native, 25, faced backlash for her past racially insensitive actions, hashing things out with Emmanuel Acho during the emotional After the Final Rose special. (The graphic designer issued several public apologies amid the controversy.) ![]() The twosome have since reunited — and seem to be stronger than ever. Before James was eliminated from season 30 of Dancing With the Stars in October, his girlfriend was one of his fiercest supporters. “I couldn’t imagine being out there without her being there,” James gushed on Tuesday, adding that he was “honored” to compete on the ABC series with pro Lindsay Arnold. “She came to every performance, she was picking me up from practice. She was a rider.” As for whether he thinks Kirkconnell could handle the pressure of DWTS, he told Us, “I would love for Rachael to do it. She can do whatever she puts her mind to, and if she wanted to dance, she would knock it out of the park.” While his final bow in the ballroom caused confusion among fans because of judge Len Goodman‘s controversial tiebreaker vote, James is still “cool” with the remaining season 30 cast members. “You really become a part of that community when they invite you in to be a part of Dancing With the Stars,” he said, hinting at his return to the studio for the season finale. “I’m gonna be upset about everybody leaving because I love everybody. … You’ve got a bunch of talented pros and stars, so I’m interested in seeing how everything shapes up. There’s a bunch of people who can take that mirrorball [trophy] home and I think everyone’s going to be upset [when] people go home who they think had a shot to [win] it.” With reporting by Diana Cooper |
'You' Cast's Dating Histories Through the Years Posted: 10 Nov 2021 11:00 AM PST Love can be messy, but luckily for the cast of You, their offscreen relationships aren’t as rocky as those of their characters. The drama premiered on Lifetime in September 2018, starring Penn Badgley, Ambyr Childers, Elizabeth Lail and more. Based on Caroline Kepnes‘ novel of the same name, season 1 followed Joe Goldberg (Badgley) as he went to extreme lengths to pursue a relationship with aspiring writer Beck (Lail). At first, the series didn’t take off, but it picked up a major following when it moved to Netflix. Season 2 dropped on the streaming platform in December 2019, and the following month, a third season was confirmed. The Easy A actor thinks "there's value" in Joe not being a traditional romantic lead, he told IndieWire in December 2019. “I mean … I think a lot of what we talk about, the way they talk about love, in pop culture and as long as it ever has been pop culture, is actually quite distorted and sometimes — if not most of the time — has nothing to do with true love. Because true love is something that can be expressed between many different kinds of people, not just people who are romantically interested.” The MOTHXR musician continued, “I think a lot of times what we’re talking about when we say ‘love’ is actually lust. There’s nothing inherently wrong with lust, but I mean, it obviously doesn’t always compel us to do the best thing.” You isn’t Badgley’s first experience starring in a wildly popular series. He portrayed outsider Dan Humphrey on Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012 and had plenty of fans swooning with his brooding performance. He even sparked a romance with costar Blake Lively, who played his onscreen love interest Serena van der Woodsen. “I remember there was one point where we were just afraid of how our personal lives overlapping our work life could be perceived by our bosses,” Lively told Vanity Fair in 2017. “[But then] we were like, ‘Oh no, that’s exactly what they want.’ They wanted us all to date. … They wanted that, because then it fed their whole narrative. People could buy into this world.” The duo ultimately went their separate ways in 2010, continuing to work together on the CW series. He went on to marry Domino Kirke in Brooklyn in 2017. After suffering multiple miscarriages, the couple welcomed their first child together in the summer of 2020. Kirke is also the mother of son Cassius from a previous relationship, and the little one has a solid relationship with Badgley. “He doesn’t have to be ‘dad’ so he can have more fun with him,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2019. “It’s really nice. The stepparent thing is definitely uncharted territory for me ’cause I didn’t grow up with one, but … he takes care of him really well.” Production on season 3 of You was paused amid the coronavirus pandemic, but in February 2021, Badgley and his costars returned to set. After calling out her suitors for ignoring her during a group date, Michelle Young shared her simple tips for having a successful relationship. "Vulnerability is the not-so-secret password to a beautiful relationship," the Minnesota native, 28, tweeted during the Tuesday, November 9, episode of the Bachelorette. As the episode continued, the fifth grade teacher opened up about feeling unseen when several of the men vying for her seemed more focused on the group date's slumber party activities than on bonding with her. In a confessional, the former basketball player even likened the sense of feeling ignored to her experience being the "token Black girl" growing up. "I was caught off-guard a little bit by the fact that I pretty much had to call the guys over," she expressed to the cameras. "I’m upset. Now that the boys are going to be competing against each other instead of making small moments with me during the group date.” The Bradley University alum later told a few of the contestants at the date's afterparty how hurt she felt by their lack of effort in their relationships with her. "I always said I’m going to be 100 percent transparent with you, and as much as I wish I would’ve left today’s group date feeling excited and great, that honestly wasn’t the case,” Michelle explained. "Last week during the poetry date, you heard me read a poem about not being seen. I was oftentimes the only person of color in my classroom. I wasn’t asked on dates. And if I’m being completely honest with you, I feel like I’m putting in so much effort to make small moments with you guys, but I don’t necessarily feel like that’s being reciprocated. And that doesn’t mean that I need these massive romantic gifts or gestures, I honestly just want, like, a 'hello' during the date." After her confession, Olumide "Olu" Onajide impressed the Bachelor season 25 runner-up when he tearfully expressed his disappointment in himself and noted that he saw his sisters go through similar experiences growing up. The IT analyst, 27, later earned the coveted group date rose following their vulnerable conversation. While the group date may not have been ideal, Michelle rewarded contestants Martin Gelbspan and Rick Leach with roses after they each opened up about their upbringings on their one-on-one dates. Michelle previously described feeling unseen during the November 2 episode of the ABC reality series. "I blamed my singleness on being a late bloomer but I knew that wasn't right," she explained in a poem. "I was never the girl invited to cute dates at the apple orchard in the fall. I was the girl picked last for prom but the first for basketball." The Bachelorette airs on ABC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. |
Vanessa Hudgens Is in ‘Vacation Mode' With Boyfriend Cole Tucker Posted: 10 Nov 2021 10:58 AM PST Making memories! Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have enjoyed documenting their growing romance through cute photos on social media. The pair first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted holding hands in November 2020, less than one year after her split from longtime love Austin Butler. At the time, Hudgens got honest about what she was looking for when it came to a partner. "Your girl's open. I feel like at the end of the day, it's just about having similar fundamentals and wanting the same things," the Powerless alum told Entertainment Tonight. "I am not picky, really." Hudgens added: "I know what I want and I'm like, if someone comes into the picture and can give me all those things, then great. It doesn't matter if they're in the public eye or not. If anything, I prefer them not to be, but we'll see." The couple went Instagram official in honor of Valentine’s Day the following year. The same month, Tucker discussed his commitment to the High School Musical star during an MLB spring training interview. "I got a girlfriend and she's cool. She's awesome, I love her," he told reporters in February 2021. "But I don't want it to be, 'Oh, Cole's dating Vanessa … ' I don't want it to be treated any differently than Mitch [Keller] having his wife down, or Ke'Bryan [Hayes] having his girlfriend come down. She's great. She'll be around. You will see her, but you saw the headline, it is what it is." As their relationship continued to get more serious, Hudgens revealed how the duo first formed a connection. “Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes,” the Princess Switch star told Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. “Zoom, you’ve got to love it.” Hudgens believed her romance with the shortstop was something special, adding, “He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.” One month later, Hudgens elaborated on how she made the first move when she originally met the pro athlete. "If I want something or someone, I'm going after them," she said during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move." Hudgens previously dated Zac Efron from 2006 to 2010. The Gigi performer later moved on with Butler in 2011, and nine years later, Us Weekly confirmed the duo had called it quits. Chrishell and Jason's Romance Won't Be Part of 'Selling Sunset' Season 4 Posted: 10 Nov 2021 10:46 AM PST From coworkers to costars to friends to dating! Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim had serious history before taking their relationship to the next level in 2021. The soap star met Jason and his twin brother, Brett Oppenheim, when she started working for The Oppenheim Group in 2018. During her first year at the agency, the group, which also includes Christine Quinn, Heather Rae Young, Maya Vander and Mary Fitzgerald, started filming the Netflix reality show Selling Sunset. When the pair met, Stause had recently married Justin Hartley. The actress and the This Is Us star split in November 2019 while she was filming season 3, with Stause alleging she found out about the divorce petition via text message. "Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers, and I f—king want answers," she told Fitzgerald on the 2020 season of the show. "I know people are saying we were only married two years, but it's like, we were together for six years. … In a fight, that's his go-to, you know? Like, 'I'm out, I'm out.' I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought, you know, that's just an issue that we work through it." Following the divorce, Stause competed on Dancing With the Stars and was dragged into partner Gleb Savchenko's messy split from his now-ex Elena Samodanova in November 2020. Both Stause and Savchenko denied that their relationship was anything but professional at the time. The real estate agent did, however, briefly date fellow professional dancer Keo Motsepe. They split in February 2021 after a few months of dating. "Keo was caught in a web of lies," a source told Us at the time. "He's not denying the fact that he lied to her and is truly ashamed about something he did. … He genuinely loved her but made a big mistake. I don't see them getting back together." Although he didn't directly address the split, Motsepe told Entertainment Tonight in May 2021, “Everything that happens in life, people deal with things differently, and I deal with things differently. So I think for me personally, with everything in my life, I [turn to] music or dance, it just depends on the feeling at the moment." Fast-forward to the summer of 2021 — while the cast was seemingly taking a break from filming seasons 4 and 5 — Stause and Jason announced they are dating. "Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship," he told Us Weekly. "I care about her deeply and we're very happy together." Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() Selling Sunset started streaming on Netflix in March 2019. During season 1, Stause was still with Hartley, who never appeared on screen, and fans learned about Jason’s past with Fitzgerald. “I don’t give her special treatment,” he told Good Housekeeping about his working relationship with Fitzgerald after their split. “I understand that there can be frustrations from other agents because they see that Mary is being involved in and brought on to many of my listings. While I don’t share the financials with everyone because that’s confidential, I think that everyone would admit based on just the obvious work that she’s done, that she’s bringing more money into this brokerage and selling more properties than anyone else.” Netflix ![]() After dating Fitzgerald prior to Selling Sunset, Jason told Page Six in May 2021 that dating another costar “probably wouldn’t be an epic idea.” He added, “It’s not that I’ve taken a step back from dating — it’s not on my priority list to be honest. And no, that wouldn’t be a priority for me. I think that would be complicated.” ITV/Shutterstock ![]() Stause and Jason went public with their romance in July 2021 during a group trip to Italy with Fitzgerald and her husband, Romain Bonnet, and Jason’s brother, Brett, and his girlfriend, Tina Louise. “Nothing makes me more excited than to see two of my closest friends together and making each other so happy!” Fitzgerald commented via Instagram. Bonnet added, “So happy for you guys! Finally people will stop with Jason and Mary hopefully.” Courtesy of Chrishell Stause/Instagram ![]() After making her relationship with Oppenheim public, Stause revealed that he was the person who sent her a lavish display of flowers and balloons for her 41st birthday earlier in the month. "Annnnd now that you guys know … thank you SO much @jasonoppenheim 🥰🥰🥰," she wrote via Instagram, editing the caption on a photo that showed her posing with the brightly colored flowers. Why Jamie Lynn Spears Couldn't Tell Sister Britney About Her Teen Pregnancy Posted: 10 Nov 2021 09:38 AM PST ![]() Sharing her truth. Jamie Lynn Spears is gearing up to share her story as a former child star and a teen mom in her forthcoming memoir, Things I Should Have Said. In the 30-year-old Sweet Magnolias star's autobiography — which is set for a January 2022 publication date — she candidly opens up about how she discovered she was pregnant with daughter Maddie, now 13, and how her older sister, Britney Spears, learned of the pregnancy reveal. "My team believed everyone outside of the inner circle was a potential threat," the Zoey 101 alum claimed in the book, which was excerpted by People on Tuesday, November 9. "They went so far as hiding my pregnancy from my sister, claiming, 'It’s too risky to tell Britney about the baby.' I needed her more than ever and she wasn’t able [to] help me in my most vulnerable time. Britney’s condition was spiraling into something more concerning." Jamie Lynn noted that her team and family were "concerned" about the 39-year-old Mickey Mouse Club alum's alleged instability at the time, claiming she was "untrustworthy." The Mississippi native continued, "I went along with what my team told me to do because I was a minor and didn’t want to create any more issues. Britney learned of the pregnancy when the article was released. To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself lingers." At the time of the former Nickelodeon star's pregnancy, the "Circus" performer made headlines after a public breakdown led her to temporarily lose custody of sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline. A conservatorship over her estate and person was then established in February 2008, controlled by father Jamie Spears. (A legal case regarding the status of the conservatorship is currently ongoing.) Elsewhere in the book excerpt, the All That alum further explained that throughout her pregnancy, she was determined to move out of her parents’ home and raise her baby on her own, remaining separated from both them and the "Toxic" songstress. "Britney was in the midst of her own crisis, and because we were isolated from each other, our communication was nonexistent," Jamie Lynn wrote. "My family denied my attempts to be independent and left me with no other choice than to threaten to file for emancipation with the courts. I spent days agonizing with my pending decision. But I followed my gut and instructed my new lawyer to go ahead and draw up the petition. … Simultaneously, my sister was experiencing her own breakdown, and media speculation about her wellness and our family already had the paparazzi swarming. Everyone involved with my saga reluctantly agreed that we needed to do what was best to avoid any more negative media attention." Jamie Lynn first announced in 2007 that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge were expecting, though was nervous to tell her parents the news. "You have your first love, or what you call love in high school. You think it's forever, and then oh, my gosh, I'm pregnant," she told Nylon in October 2020. "'I am mortified to have to tell my parents this and my family this.' … That was all I was thinking about: 'These are the people I love that I have to tell, and also, I'm pregnant. There's a human being growing inside of me, and I'm so young, I'm almost a baby myself.'" Shortly after Maddie's birth, Jamie Lynn — fresh off the success of Zoey 101 — expressed her desire to "hide away for a little bit" as she raised her little one. "I got me a little house," she told the magazine at the time. "I put a big gate up around it, and I was like, 'I'm going to stay here, raise my baby and figure this out because this is real life. I've put myself in this situation, I'm not condoning it or saying it's right, but these are the cards that I have to play.' And I tried to do the best that I could." The actress and Aldridge, 32, eventually split in 2009 before she later wed Jamie Watson in March 2014. The couple welcomed daughter Ivey, now 3, in 2018. The Nickelodeon alum previously announced her memoir in October, writing via Instagram, "I can't believe I finally finished writing my book!!! 'THINGS I SHOULD HAVE SAID' has been in the works for quite a longggg time now. But there was a lot of personal work and healing that had to happen before I could share my truth the proper way. I've spent my whole life believing that I had to pretend to be perfect, even when I wasn't, so for the first time I am opening up about my own mental health, because this process challenged me to have to be painfully honest with myself, and face a lot of hard things, that I normally would have just glossed right over, like I was taught to." Things I Should Have Said is set to be released on January 18, 2022. |
