Dr. Phil Weighs In on Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's Rumored Romance

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 05:19 PM PST

Even the stars want answers! Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian‘s recent outings have raised eyebrows among both fans and fellow celebrities.

The duo first connected when Kardashian, 41, hosted Saturday Night Live on October 9. In one of the sketches, the reality star locked lips with the Set It Up actor, 27, while they were imitating Jasmine and Aladdin, respectively.

Several weeks later, Kardashian was spotted holding hands with the Guy Code alum while riding a roller-coaster at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. Travis Barker, Kourtney Kardashian, Stephanie Shepherd, Harry Hudson and other friends also tagged along for the fun-filled trip.

While some fans were convinced sparks might be flying between the KKW Beauty founder and the Meet Cute actor as they went on to spend time together in New York City, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the twosome “are just friends right now.”

According to the insider, “No one really knows what is going on with Kim and Pete. … Things could turn romantic.”

The California native filed for divorce from Kanye West in February after nearly seven years of marriage. The estranged pair share children North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. Before she was linked to Davidson, Kim had some concerns about getting back into the dating world amid her divorce.

“She’s not focused on dating at the moment but actually worries that guys will not want to date her because of how public her relationship was with Kanye,” an insider told Us in June. “She also knows how hard it is to build trust with someone, so she thinks it’s going to take time before letting someone into her private life. It was easy with Kanye because they were friends before so they had years’ worth of trust.”

Davidson, for his part, most recently sparked a whirlwind romance with Phoebe Dynevor. Us exclusively confirmed in April that the pair were dating after they were spotted getting cozy in the U.K. one month prior. They attended their first event as a couple in July during the Wimbledon tennis tournament, but by the following month, they had split.

“The distance put a strain on the relationship and it made it hard to maintain,” a source exclusively noted in August, adding that Davidson and the Bridgerton actress, 26, “had a great time while they were together.”

Scroll down to see how celebs are reacting to Davidson’s rumored romance with the Skims CEO:

Bethenny Frankel
The Real Housewives of New York City alum has doubled down on her theory about the comedian, tweeting on November 3, “Years later, I still maintain that Pete Davidson shoots diamonds out of his penis. ... He needs a deal with @ZalesJewelers (and yes he is talented, charming, smart & cute) but his game is tight.” David Buchan/Shutterstock
Kate Beckinsale
The Underworld actress, who briefly dated Davidson in 2019, was caught "liking" a meme about the comedian's "nice personality" helping him win over major Hollywood stars. Broadimage/Shutterstock

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
"Funny guys do a lot," the Cravings cookbook author told TMZ on November 3 while out in Los Angeles with her husband. "Look at John [Legend] — he's hysterical. Who wouldn't want to be in love with a funny guy?" Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Ed Sheeran
The "Shivers" singer, who performed on the November 6 episode of SNL, weighed in on the rumors on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up several days later. "I don't know the ins and outs of that [situation]," he told the hosts, calling Davidson "a very cool guy." As the radio personalities continued to speculate, Sheeran had the final say. "I feel like people's private lives are called private for a reason," he said. "Why do we care? It's their life." Brian J Ritchie/Hotsauce
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager
The Today cohosts attempted to dissect the pair's body language at the amusement park, with Kotb joking, "Their fingers were interlaced, which is a clue." While Kotb appeared to be on the fence about whether a romance could be brewing, Hager was more convinced. "She's in New York, they're going to dinner. Something has to be going on," she said on November 4. "Something is going on! She has children in L.A. She is in New York going to dinner with him. I heard it was two nights in a row." Nathan Congleton/NBC
Fortune Feimster
"I honestly didn't believe the Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian dating rumor until I just read she went to Staten Island," the Champions alum tweeted after the twosome's trip to Davidson's native borough. "Even I know you don't go there to just see a friend." MediaPunch/Shutterstock

Dorit Kemsley Begged for Robbers to Spare Her Life Suffers Panic Attacks

Telling her story. Two weeks after Dorit Kemsley experienced a home invasion, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has opened up about the terrifying ordeal.

'RHOBH' Star Dorit Kemsley's House Robbed: Everything We Know

The Bravo personality, 54, said she was “taken completely off guard” on October 27 when three men broke into her Encino Hills, California, home — and so were the robbers.

"They were surprised to see me at home,” Kemsley told RHOBH costar Teddi Mellencamp on Extra during a Tuesday, November 9, interview. “When they did, they pushed me to the ground. They said, 'Who else is in the home?'"

Kemsley said the invaders were arguing about murdering her. "There was someone else who said, 'Just kill her, just kill her already, just kill her,' and all I could think of [was], 'I have to save those babies,'" she recalled.

Her children, Jagger, 7, and Phoenix, 5, were asleep in the house at the time. The mother of two said her focus remained on the little ones throughout the scary incident. “I begged them, I begged for my life, and begged for their [lives],” she added.

The designer noted that she didn’t try to spare her possessions. "I said, 'I don't care about any of it, take it all. You can have it all. Please, I'm a mother of babies. Please, they need me. Please don't hurt me,'" she continued.

The Connecticut native is grateful that she kept herself together at the time, adding that the situation could’ve been much worse if she panicked. She considers herself “lucky” to be physically unharmed and to know that her children slept through the confrontation. However, the anxiety set in after the men left with over $100,000 worth of items.

"The panic attacks are coming … And feeling safe? How am I ever going to feel safe again? How do I protect my children? … I'm going through all of that,” she said.

Kemsley has found her RHOBH castmates “beyond supportive” following the traumatic attack. She added that getting through this time is “going to be a process, a long one — that, I know."

Her husband PK Kemsley, who she married in 2015, was in the U.K. at the time of the break in, but he returned to be with Dorit right after the robbery.

The criminals have not yet been found, and the Los Angeles Police Department wants the public’s help to identify the men. Authorities released the surveillance video from the Kemsley home on Monday, November 8, which shows two masked men in dark hoodies standing outside of a sliding door before shattering the glass and entering the home.

Footage from roughly 15 minutes later shows the men escaping with bags of stolen goods.

Dorit first addressed the robbery on October 30 with a statement via Instagram.

“As you all know by now, I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience," she shared at the time. "I've received so many messages of love and support and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's truly overwhelming. My kids are unaware of what happened, they slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed. … I have thrown myself straight back into work as I want our family to return to normality as soon as possible."

Pasadena! Napa! Minnesota! Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster Wed 3 Times

Even a pandemic can't stop wedding bells from ringing. As the world slowly began to open back up in 2021 following the COVID-19 crisis, stars were eager to exchange vows.

First came Alexander Ludwig and Lauren Dear, who announced they'd eloped in Utah following a one-month engagement on January 4. Next up, Jennifer Wayne and Austin Moody wed on January 9 after a two-week engagement.

“I’m still in complete shock but I'm humbled and honored to introduce you to Mrs. Moody,” the bluegrass musician wrote via Instagram at the time. “Now more than ever, I am able to truly admire and appreciate everything she is. I’ve never met anyone so kind and generous to people she knows as well as complete strangers. Without even knowing it, she teaches me how to be a better person every day that I am with her. I can't believe I got to marry my best friend … Jennifer, now I stand before the world a brand new man because of the love you've shown me. From this moment on you will never walk alone.”

Another 2021 trend? Secret weddings! Aubrey Plaza subtly revealed on May 7 that she and her longtime beau, Jeff Baena, tied the knot by referring to him as her "darling husband" in an Instagram post.

"Whoa!!!! Just took in the word husband and I am sending you both love and congratulations and blessings!!!!!❤❤❤," Mary Steenburgen wrote in a comment. "UM HUSBAND HOLD ON THERE," a fan added.

Just over a week later, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez got married in a secret ceremony.

"It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people," Grande's rep told Us Weekly on May 17. "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

Us confirmed the pair's engagement five months earlier.

"Ariana is beyond excited. She has really enjoyed getting to know and falling in love with Dalton out of the spotlight, something she didn't get to do in her past relationships," an insider said in December 2020. "They are so in love and committed to spend the rest of their lives together."

Other 2021 newlyweds included two Duggar brothersJustin Duggar and Jed Duggar — who married Claire Spivey and Katey Nakatsu, respectively.

"We are overjoyed about adding another daughter-in-love to our family," Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar wrote via Instagram to celebrate one of their son’s weddings. "Jed and Katey have enjoyed a quiet, low-key relationship that has allowed them to prepare for a beautiful life together. Congrats to this wonderful couple on their wedding day! We are excited to see how their story continues to unfold in the future."

"My wife, my best friend, the future mother of my children, my everything. @laurendear," Ludwig captioned a photo of the couple standing on a wooden deck with the snow-dusted countryside behind them. "Thank you @blueskyutah #reverandcraiggordon @gabriellasantosphotography and of course #yam for being our witness. We decided to elope. It has been such a crazy year but it certainly put things into perspective. Life is too short And I didnt want to spend another day without calling this beautiful woman my wife. Of course when things settle down we will have a proper celebration with our friends and family but for now- the love of my life, our dog yam, a yurt on a mountain top in the middle of nowhere sounded like the perfect beginning." An insider tells Us Weekly exclusively that the Talentless designer, 38, has “been doing his own thing” following Travis Barker‘s October proposal to Kardashian, 42.

Disick and the Poosh founder share three kids, Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 6. The New York native proposed to Kardashian in 2010, but she turned him down. The two officially split in 2015.

While the University of Arizona alum is getting ready to marry Barker, 45, Disick is not thinking about marriage himself. He doesn’t even want a serious romance right now.

“Don't be fooled — if he's spotted with a new girl, it isn't someone he's serious about,” the source tells Us.

Disick, who is currently filming the new Kardashian family reality series for Hulu, has told friends that he intends “to have some fun being single” after his September breakup with Amelia Gray Hamlin.

The father of three “isn't in a rush to settle down with anyone special any time soon,” and Disick isn’t exactly putting himself out there to meet new people. “His friends describe him as a loner,” the insider says. “He's disconnected from a lot of friends and only has a few close friends in his inner circle.”

Disick has been focused on family as Barker and Kardashian get closer to tying the knot. “He's mainly been spending a lot of time with his kids,” the source tells Us.

Mason, Penelope and Reign are close with Barker’s kids, Landon, 18, and Alabama, 15, whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. They all grew up in the same neighborhood, so they’ve known each other for years.

"They became friends living in the same neighborhood and hang out a lot," a different source exclusively told Us in January of the little ones. "Their kids' friendship had Kourtney and Travis spending a lot of time together."

While the coparents’ relationship is strained, the Kardashian family remains close to Disick. Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner have both maintained their relationships with Kourtney’s ex.

According to an insider, Thurston, 30, is still “trying to get through the breakup,” which made headlines on October 25.

“She’s been spending time with close friends who have been cheering her up. She just needs a lot of love and support right now,” the source notes. “She’s a strong person and will get through this.”

The former bank marketing manager originally fell in love with Moynes, 31, during season 17 of The Bachelorette, which ended with the duo getting engaged. After the August finale, Thurston gushed about how she walked away from the ABC reality series with her first choice.

"I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with," she said during the After the Final Rose special. "He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I'm telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I'm just so lucky. I love him so much."

After their journey on reality television, the couple focused on getting to know each other more while figuring out a long-distance relationship. Days before announcing their split, Thurston explained how they were dealing with so much time spent apart.

“The short version is we're figuring it out,” the Washington native told Us late last month. “We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself. He's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great.”

Shortly after, the twosome confirmed that they had called it quits.

“It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” Thurston and Moynes captioned their individual posts via Instagram in October. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.”

“She’s still hopeful on finding love but wants to make sure her head is in the right space,” the insider adds. “Right now, she’s just figuring out what she wants to do in life. In her mind, her future was with Blake, so now she just has to start fresh and figure out her next steps.”

“Wendy is making her own decisions as she sees fits,” the insider says of The Wendy Williams Show host, 57, whose recent health struggles have kept her absent from season 13 of the series. “She's getting better. She's not getting worse. That's encouraging.”

The New Jersey native originally pushed back the season 13 premiere date after she tested positive for COVID-19 in September. One week later, the date was delayed again as the Masked Singer alum continued to recover. At that point, the company that produces the show announced that it would premiere on October 18 with guest hosts taking over in Williams’ absence.

In her own statement about her hiatus, the Hold Me in Contempt author said she has every intention of returning to her hosting duties as soon as she feels well enough.

“As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic,” the Dancing With the Stars veteran wrote in a statement posted via Instagram on Monday, November 8. “I'm making progress but it's just one of those things that's taking longer than we expected. I'm a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I'm ready.”

Williams also thanked the guest hosts “for stepping up and stepping in” during her absence. Celebrities who’ve subbed in so far include Leah Remini, Whitney Cummings and Sherri Shepherd, while Jerry Springer and Bill Bellamy are set to host episodes later in November.

I love spending my mornings with you all and I'm doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy.”

This isn’t the first time the former radio host has taken a break from her talk show. In 2018, Williams took three weeks off after she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. Two years later, she stepped back again because of fatigue related to her Graves’ disease.

Will Smith Details Jada Ups and Downs, Jealousy Toward Tupac in Memoir

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 01:17 PM PST

Diving into the past. In Will Smith‘s new memoir, Will, which he cowrote with Mark Manson, explored the actor’s life and marriage like never before.

The Bad Boys for Life star, 53, set the scene by recalling the connection that he felt as soon as he started dating Jada Pinkett Smith.

“We fit together so naturally, and our energies combined exponentially in a way that felt like old friends more than new lovers,” Will wrote in the book. “We had an unspoken language, and everything we focused on flourished.”

The rapper and the Red Table Talk cohost, 50, originally met when she auditioned to play his girlfriend on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Jada ended up not getting the role, but the pair started seeing one another not long after.

At the time, Will noted that he was still technically married to Sheree Zampino, which affected his new romance. The exes tied the knot in 1992 and their divorce was finalized in 1995. They share son Trey, who arrived in 1992.

“My divorce from Sheree wasn’t yet final, so Jada and I decided it would be prudent if we kept our relationship under wraps. (We were both pretty famous, and we felt it just wouldn’t have been a great look.),” he revealed. “The blessed yet unintended consequence was that we spent every single moment together, just us. The first three or four months were as wild a romantic whirlwind as our bodies could have possibly handled.”

As Will and Jada’s relationship got more serious, the Ali star explained how the couple found themselves with different views about taking the next step.

“Jada didn’t believe in a conventional marriage, and despised the traditional ceremony. She also had questions about the viability of monogamy as a framework for successful long-term relationships,” Will continued. “Jada wanted to look into my eyes, devote her undying love before God, and then get on with the difficult business of building a live together.”

Will and Jada got married in December 1997, which, according to the Suicide Squad star, was not easy.

“Jada held her ground as long as she could, but pretty soon, the ‘wedding pressure’ became too much. She was in her second trimester, she was tired and uncomfortable, and she didn’t want to argue,” Will explained about his now-wife, with whom he welcomed son Jaden in 1998 and daughter Willow in 2000. “She also couldn’t bear the thought of breaking her mother’s heart, and deep down inside — even though I wasn’t saying it — she knew I wanted a wedding too.”

Through the years, the Oscar nominee and the Girls Trip actress didn’t always see eye to eye which led to a fight that almost ended their marriage. Looking back at those obstacles, Will admitted that communication continues to strengthen their marriage.

“But the heart and soul of our union was then, and is still today, intense, luminescent conversation. Even to the writing of this very sentence, if Jada and I begin a conversation, it is a minimum two-hour endeavor. And it is not uncommon that we talk for five or six hours at a stretch,” he recalled in the memoir. “Our joy of pondering and pursuing the mysteries of the universe, through the mirror of each other’s experience, is unbridled ecstasy. Even in the depths of disagreement, there is nothing in this world that either of us more cherishes or enjoys than the opportunity to grow and learn from each other through passionate communication.”

Will’s Prank During Jada’s First Meeting With His Grandmother
The Grammy Award winner's courtship with Jada took a turn when his grandmother wanted to meet his girlfriend. Will decided to time their first meeting so Jada would walk in on his grandmother watching the sex scene in her movie Jason's Lyric, a prank that has become "a bone of contention" between the couple "for more than two decades." "Gigi ultimately loved Jada; they had a beautiful relationship. Years of joy and family laughter — their bond was precious. It grew deeper and wider with every interaction," Will noted in the book. "And it is my ardent belief that my orchestration of that initial meeting laid the foundation for their profound connection." The comedian added that Jada did not share the same opinion about the situation, writing, "To this very moment, however, Jada has never even cracked a smile — not even the tiniest chuckle — about the meeting, not even once."   Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Will and Jada’s Different Views on Marriage
As their relationship continued to grow, Will remembered the negative view that Jada had when it came to marriage. "Jada had no illusion that love and family would be an easy endeavor; that was another reason she hated traditional wedding ceremonies. She thought that the fluffiness and the pageantry of a classing wedding ceremony was flawed symbolism and give a false sense of the true gravity of the undertaking," he revealed. "She would say, 'A real wedding ceremony should be a marathon — we should have to run an actual marathon together. And if we're both still there at the finish line, then we've earned the right to get married. You gotta know that the person is a survivor.'" For the Pursuit of Happyness star, the singer's opinion was hard to come to terms with. "While I understood her point, I would always think to myself, 'That's some unromantic s--t right there. Would we have them shiny tinfoil blankets awkwardly slung over our shoulders to prevent hypothermia and crap running down the back out our legs?'" Will detailed in the memoir. "I did not say this out loud."     Broadimage/Shutterstock
Will’s Jealously About Jada’s Connection to Tupac
In his book, Will admitted that his mind "was tortured" by the bond that Jada shared with the late Tupac. "Though they were never intimate, their love for each other is legendary — they define 'ride or die,'" the Pennsylvania native shared. "I hated that I wasn't what he was in the world, and I suffering a ragging jealousy: I wanted Jada to look at me like that." The beginning of Will and Jada's relationship was plagued by the role Tupac had in her life. The performer died in 1996.    "If she chose me over Tupac, there was no way I could be a coward. I have rarely felt more validated," he wrote. "The way Jada loved 'Pac rendered me incapable of being friends with him. I was too immature." Startraks/Shutterstock
The Birthday Celebration That Took a Turn
Will and Jada's marriage was put to the test after he planned an over-the-top celebration for his wife's 40th birthday that didn't go as expected. The birthday event in Santa Fe, New Mexico, was all leading up to a special documentary that Will prepared for Jada. "Jada seemed to be enjoying herself, but she was quiet — I couldn't get a good read. But it didn't matter because I knew the documentary would be a hands-down grand small emotional home run," he shared before detailing the amount of work that went into the Scream 2 star "hearing the voice of her grandmother speaking directly to her" in the video. "I had seen the video a hundred times at this point, so I was only watching Jada. The enter place is in tears — her family, my family, everybody. All except Jada," he wrote. "She sat motionless, refusing to make eye contact with me. The video ends — family and friends erupt in a standing ovation." The duo ended up in a fight that night, with Jada calling the documentary the "most disgusting display of ego." "At this point, we were both screaming at the top of our lungs, which was very uncharacteristic. ... This night was unlike any before, or since. The pressure cooker of our perfect picture was cracking," Will continued. "Our marriage wasn't working. We could not longer pretend. We were both miserable, and clearly something had to change." Paul Buck/EPA/Shutterstock
Getting to a Better Place
After their explosive fight, Will recalled them making the choice to stay and work on their relationship. "We agreed that Jada's happiness had to be her responsibility and my happiness had to be my responsibility. We were going to seek our distinct, innermost personal joys, and then we were going to return and present ourselves to the relationship and to each other already happy — not coming to each other begging with empty cups, demanding the other person fulfill our needs," he explained. "We felt this vampiric relational model was unfair, unrealistic, destructive — even abusive. To place the responsibility for your happiness on anybody other than yourself is a recipe for misery." Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock
Will’s Complicated Relationship With Martin Lawerence
The Cobra Kai executive producer also detailed how professional jealousy towards his good friend. "I was, however, acutely aware of the burning jealousy in my heart. [Martin] is a comic genius. Martin was the people's champ — he was the star of this own Fox television show, Martin," Will explained. "In the Black community, he was loved and revered the way I had always yearned for." Although the Men in Black star "hated" feeling like Lawrence, 56, was "naturally funnier" than him, the twosome ended up becoming fast friends. "I'm not sure you can actually love somebody forever from six seconds of a first phone call. But for some reason, we couldn't stop laughing just from hearing each other say each other's names," Will revealed in his autobiography.   Shutterstock (2)

"In today's world it's easy to get sucked into all the negativity and your mind can sometimes be your worst enemy," the 31-year-old star captioned an Instagram video on Monday, November 8. "To get back into a positive head space, I rely on passion. I channel that passion to do good. When you do good, you feel good."

The wildlife manager went on to reflect on the ups and downs he's faced since he and Thurston, 30, announced their split on October 25.

“Today, something super exciting came to fruition that I’ve been working on for a little while now," Moynes began his video. "I’ve had to put [it] on the back burner for weeks just due to the obvious events that have happened … with Katie and I and the breakup."

The Canada native explained that "it hasn't been easy" for him since the two went their separate ways after six months together. Moynes proposed to Thurston during the season 17 Bachelorette finale, which filmed in April, but didn't air until four months later.

"I know it hasn’t been easy for her, just as it hasn’t been for me. The internet is a very cruel, nasty, sh—y place," he continued on Monday. "Without the love and support that you guys give me — the community that we kind of created here through this amazing experience that I’ve had — allows me to commit to trying to make a difference in the world.”

Moynes thanked his followers, clarifying that when he talks about "me," he means "us," as in his online community as a whole. "This wouldn’t be happening with this community that we created," he added. "I just want to say thank you for that."

The animal lover — who vied for both Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' hearts during season 16 of The Bachelorette before competing on Thurston's season — then reflected on his recent trip to Kenya.

He explained that after returning to Canada in October following a three-week adventure in Africa, he knew he wanted to do something more to help with wildlife preservation support.

"When I left there, it was very obvious to me that I wanted to do something more," Moynes said. "When you're given an opportunity like this and a platform to do something good with it …  I created a fund. It's called the Mowgli Moynes Fund."

The TV personality will take a portion of everything that comes through his social media pages and put them back into the wildlife conservation fund.

"I’m super excited. I can’t thank you enough. We’re going to do a lot of great together," he concluded. "I really, really appreciate all the support and I know Katie does too.”

Moynes previously opened up about how he was dealing with his recent breakup, noting on November 1 that his sister, Emily Moynes, and his animals have helped him push through the bad.

"When times are really tough and things just aren't going the way you had hoped … it's always the same 'gang' that gets ya back on your feet," Blake wrote via Instagram at the time. "Feels good to start getting back into the swing of things."

Thurston, for her part, shut down new romance rumors after she posted a throwback photo with Bachelorette's John Hersey earlier this month.

The Washington native sparked relationship speculation on Sunday, November 7, when she captioned an old video "the first time I saw John since filming." She later shared two Polaroids of her and the 27-year-old bartender playing cards via social media.

"Y'all getting wild in my DMs," Thurston captioned the snaps, playing coy about her and Hersey's status.

Aaron Rodgers Speaks Out Again Amid Vaccination Controversy

Adding more to the conversation. After opening up about his decision to get “immunized” instead of receiving a COVID-19 vaccination, Aaron Rodgers is elaborating on his comments following major backlashand giving an update on how he’s feeling.

“I’m feeling really good. I’m definitely fortunate to have the type of care that I’ve been able to have. I know it’s special and it’s helped me get through this better. I also know that it hasn’t been like that for everybody,” Rodgers, 37, said during the Tuesday, November 9, episode of “The Pat McAfee Show” on YouTube. “I know this is a difficult time for so many people dealing with COVID. It’s been a tough two years for a lot of people. This has definitely been a time of a lot of reflection. I’ve had time to think about a lot of things.”

Despite the negative response, the NFL star added that he stands by his comments. “I don’t only talk to ‘Yes’ people or people who allow me to live in an echo chamber of my own thoughts and beliefs. I’m a lifelong student,” he said. “I love learning and acquiring information and talking to people with different views than I have. … That’s how you grow.”

The athlete originally addressed his one-game suspension from the Green Bay Packers after testing positive for COVID-19 by claiming that he “didn’t lie” about his vaccination status.

“The league was fully aware of it upon my return to the Packers,” he explained on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday, November 5. "It wasn't some sort of ruse or lie, it was the truth.”

The quarterback noted that his decision was never a secret.

“Had there been a follow-up to my statement that I'd been immunized, I would have responded with this. I would have said, 'Look, I'm not some sort of anti-vax-flat-Earther. I'm somebody who's a critical thinker,'” Rodgers added on Friday. “I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy, [in the] ability to make choices for your body, not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something.”

For the NFL player, an allergy to an ingredient in the Pfizer and Moderna shots cemented his decision not to get vaccinated.

“On the CDC’s own website, it says should you have an allergy to any of these ingredients, you should not get one of the mRNA vaccines,” he detailed, adding that he didn’t want the Johnson & Johnson alternative because he was concerned about “some really difficult times and physical abnormalities” that he heard was a side effect for certain patients.

On Tuesday, the former Jeopardy host recognized that he may be “a role model” to many people. “I want to start off the show by acknowledging that I made some comments that people might have felt were misleading,” the athlete continued. “To anybody who may have felt misled by those comments, I take full responsibility for those comments. I’m excited about feeling better, I’m excited about moving forward.”

Rodgers also shot down the claims that he was in Los Angeles, California, as some photos alleged, noting that he’s been quarantined in his home in Green Bay.

Following his controversial statements, Rodgers received both support and criticism from fellow athletes. Mike Fisher spoke out about his similar views when it comes to having “the freedom to choose what we put in our bodies and the freedom of conscience.”

Celebrities Are Divided Over Aaron Rodgers' Controversial Vaccine Views

Meanwhile, Terry Bradshaw hit back that Rodgers was not being “honest” about his vaccination decision.

“Learn not to lie because that's what you did, Aaron. You lied to everyone. I understand ‘immunized.’ What you were doing is taking stuff that would keep you from getting COVID-19,” Bradshaw, 72, said while at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, on November 7. “You got COVID-19. Ivermectin is a cattle dewormer. Sorry, folks, that's what it is. We are a divided nation politically. We are a divided nation on the COVID-19, whether or not to take the vaccine. And unfortunately, we've got players that pretty much think only about themselves, and I'm extremely disappointed in the actions of Aaron Rodgers.”

When it comes to the remarks made, Rodgers noted that he can “understand” where some people are coming from. “I respect everybody’s opinion,” he shared on Tuesday. “I’m human, stuff can definitely hurt your feelings. I shared an opinion that is polarizing. … In the end, I have to stay true to who I am and what I’m about and I stand behind the things that I said.”

He added, “I have no judgment. Hate isn’t going to bring us out of this pandemic. It’s gonna be connecting and love. I’m not going to hate on anybody that has said things about me. I believe everybody’s entitled to their opinion. I always will believe that. I think that it’s a time to move forward, for me, and talk about football. I’m thankful again, to be on the other side of this.”

There have also been conversations that the scandal will take him out of the running for MVP in the future, to which he responded, “That’s a legitimate statement.”

For now, however, he’s focused on getting healthy enough to play on Sunday. “I’m an athlete, I’m not an activist,” Rodgers added, noting there is a “possibility” he won’t play if his body isn’t physically ready. “So I’m going to get back to doing what I do best, and that is playing ball.”

Aaron Rodgers, Shailene Woodley's Whirlwind Romance: A Timeline

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 11:55 AM PST

Who manifested who? While the details of Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers' whirlwind relationship haven't all been revealed, one thing is for sure: The couple are head over heels for each other.

According to Woodley, the pair met sometime in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. Though rumors about a potential romance were sparked in July 2020, the relationship was kept tightly under wraps for some time after. Fans only found out the couple were dating a few days before their engagement was announced on February 6, 2021.

Rodgers previously dated race car driver Danica Patrick. The two began dating in January 2018 and broke up in July 2020. The former pair met in 2012 at the ESPY Awards, years before their romance began.

"We both remember meeting each other, it was quick," Patrick said on Jenny McCarthy‘s SiriusXM show in May 2018. "I got his email address, and I remember thinking to myself, 'Oh, not a phone number? Just an email address?'"

Before Rodgers, Woodley dated rugby player Ben Volavola. The relationship was first confirmed when the activist posted an Instagram picture holding Volavola's hand in 2017.

Following their breakup, the Divergent actress opened up to Bustle in April 2020 about her love life, admitting she'd previously used relationships to "distract" from getting acquainted with her own self.

"I was in a relationship with someone and we were very much on the road to marriage and children," she said. "I realized I was still at an age where I wasn't able to fully commit. I couldn't be available to him in the way that I wanted to be. I didn't fully love myself."

Both Woodley and Rodgers are fans of mindfulness. After announcing his engagement at the NFL Honors Dinner, the Super Bowl champion reminded people "to read books, to meditate, speak things to life, manifest the desires of your heart, question everything and spread love and positivity." Woodley has previously spoken about her relationship with anxiety and meditation as well.

While more background on this couple is sure to come, quite a bit is known about the pair. Scroll through for a timeline of their relationship:

Woodley confirmed the engagement during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on February 22, 2021, giving viewers of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon a peek at her sizable engagement ring. “I never thought I’d be engaged [to] somebody who threw balls for a living,” the Big Little Lies actress joked, noting the couple had been engaged “for a while.” Woodley also confirmed the pair met during the coronavirus pandemic, remarking that she’d actually never seen her fiancé play football.  “We met during this whacky, whacky time and all the stadiums were closed that he was playing in. I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially American sports. It was never really on my radar,” she explained. “When we met, also, I knew he was a football guy, but I didn’t know like what kind of a football guy he was. And I’m still constantly learning.”

In her best supporting actress Golden Globes acceptance speech on February 28, 2021, Jodie Foster gave a shout-out to the sports star, causing fans to wonder if she’d played a role in setting her The Mauritanian costar up.
“I did not set up Shailene and Aaron,” the actress told Us Weekly and other reporters in the press room following the event. “I have never met Aaron Rodgers, but it is possible that I do like to talk about Green Bay Packers and sometimes I can talk a little bit too much about that. So, of course, Shailene was very aware of my enthusiasm for the team.” NBC; Shutterstock

"Starting a relationship where you immediately move in with someone — because it's a pandemic and you can't just get on a plane and go back and forth on weekends — taught us a lot about each other very quickly," the Last Letter From Your Lover actress told Shape, reflecting on the early days of her romance with Rodgers. "We jumped in headfirst and got some of the sticky bits out of the way early." After she "didn't see anyone for three months" at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Woodley and her fiancé spent plenty of quality time together in Canada. "I have the perspective that I would have met Aaron in any context, any space in time, because I feel we were meant to be together," she told the outlet. “I know Aaron’s body very well. This oblivious homie, clearly, does not.” The actress defended her fiancé amid claims that he was breaking quarantine protocol after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier in the month and missing one Packers start. “Literally, y’all need to calm the f—k down,” she added, pointing out why Rodgers wasn’t out in the city amid his 10-day quarantine. Shailene Woodley Defends Aaron Amid Rumored COVID-19 Quarantine Outings

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 11:46 AM PST

Backing her man! Shailene Woodley came to fiancé Aaron Rodgers' defense after he was reportedly spotted out in Los Angeles after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this month — and required to quarantine by the NFL.

"Literally, y'all need to calm the f—k down," the 29-year-old actress wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, November 9, alongside an alleged photo of the 37-year-old quarterback. "This is straight up HILARIOUS."

The Big Little Lies alum claimed that some news outlets are trying to "disparage" Rodgers by "finding random f—king men on the streets of L.A. and saying it's him."

Woodley called out one outlet after the site published a photo of a man who slightly resembled the NFL star. "Breaking the rules: On Monday, Rodgers was spotted grabbing some coffee in Brentwood [California]," the outlet claimed.

The Divergent actress pointed out that the caption was false, and the photo was not her fiancé.

"I know Aaron's body very well. First off, his feet, ahem and no offense to this rando dude, are a LOT bigger," she wrote alongside the snap on Tuesday.

Woodley shared a second photo published by the Daily Mail of the same man walking to a car wearing all black, a face covering and carrying coffee.

"Also, for those of us who know Aaron beyond the worlds of obsessed sport [stories] … it's no secret he has the hairiest hands on the f—king planet," the Fault in Our Stars actress commented. "This oblivious homie, clearly, does not."

After focusing on a close-up photo of the alleged athlete driving in California, Woodley noted again that it wasn't her man. "Also, cute car dude, but Aaron would never drive this," she wrote.

Rodgers addressed his rumored L.A. outing on Tuesday during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “I’m in Green Bay, not in L.A. as reported. I have been at my house during quarantine,” he confirmed.

Woodley's support for Rodgers came just days after news broke that the Green Bay Packers star had tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday, November 3.

Rodgers' diagnosis raised eyebrows since he previously said he was "immunized" against the virus. The NFL launched an investigation into the former Jeopardy! guest host and the Packers amid questions of whether they broke COVID-19 protocols.

The California native addressed the controversy two days later, claiming he "didn't lie" about his initial vaccination status and insisted he was not anti-vaccine.

"Had there been a follow-up to my statement that I'd been immunized, I would have responded with this: I would have said, 'Look, I'm not some sort of anti-vax-flat-Earther. I'm somebody who's a critical thinker,'" Rodgers said during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday, November 5. "I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy, [in the] ability to make choices for your body, not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something."

He explained that he has an allergy to an ingredient in the mRNA vaccines, which is why both the Pfizer and the Moderna options were off the table. Rodgers said he chose not to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine because at the time he heard that people were having an "adverse event" after getting that shot.

The former California University, Berkley quarterback noted that he looked into other ways to "protect" himself and his teammates which is when he found an "immunization protocol" that he believes served as a long-term solution. The NFL, however, didn't approve the alternative immunization and told Rodgers he would be considered unvaccinated for the 2021 season.

Since then, Rodgers claimed he has "followed every protocol" laid out by the league, including traveling solo to games and getting tested daily. He is currently undergoing a 10-day quarantine and will have to have two negative COVID-19 tests before being OK'd to play following a missed game on Sunday, November 7.

"My desire to immunize myself was what was best to my body, which is why this is so important to me," the NFL MVP concluded. "My medical team advised me that the danger of having an adverse event [to the vaccination] was greater than getting COVID and recovering. I'm not telling somebody to get vaccinated or not get vaccinated."

Woodley, who confirmed her engagement to Rodgers in February, previously hinted at support for Rodgers via a cryptic Instagram message.

"Calm seas may bring you peace, but storms are where you'll find your power," she shared via her Instagram Story on Friday.

Look Away, Joe! You's Victoria Pedretti, Dylan Arnold Are Officially Dating

A happier ending off screen? Victoria Pedretti and Dylan Arnold were spotted running errands together in Los Angeles, and a source confirms to Us Weekly that the duo are more than just former costars.

Pedretti, 26, and Arnold, 27, were photographed on Sunday, November 7, shopping for home essentials, in photos obtained by Page Six. In the pics, the twosome grabbed coffee and were seen together later that day in different outfits.

The You costars first sparked romance rumors after fans started to wonder if their onscreen connection brought the pair closer offscreen.

Viewers originally saw Pedretti’s character, Love Quinn, and Arnold’s character, Theo Engler, form a bond over their shared trauma during season 3 of the hit Netflix show. Although the fictional couple weren’t able to make things work, the Halloween star did find the relationship necessary for Theo.

“I think for Theo, his family life is not very stable, he doesn't really have a support system,” Arnold explained to Teen Vogue in October. “There's this really interesting balance between him seeing her as a support system and in a weird way, almost a mother figure, but not totally like that, of course. He's trying to find someone that he can love, and that can love him back.”

Even though Theo attempted to offer Love a way out of her marriage to husband Joe (Penn Badgley), Arnold noted that it wasn’t meant to be.

“I think he's blinded by love, in more ways than one. He's so head over heels that he found this person he really connects with,” the After We Collided star added. “It almost feels like toward the end a little like Romeo and Juliet, where's he swept up in this romantic idea of running away together and saving her. He's desperate for connection, desperate to find some comfort, stability.”

That same month, the Haunting of Bly Manor alum shared how meaningful it was to explore Love’s romance with Theo.

“But I think we saw it as the unique relationship that they’re kind of forging within the context of their town and both of their lived experiences,” she told Elle in October. “And their trauma and whatnot. It is really interesting though, how that forges.”

For Pedretti, the hope of a brighter future with Theo kept Love going ahead of her death in the season 3 finale.

“I see them at the end when he’s like ‘run away with me’ and I think about it when she’s talking to Marienne,” the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star said at the time. “She does get a glimpse of how maybe she ought to be treated, where somebody is really concerned about her well-being in a way that her parents don’t really show a regard for, and her husband doesn’t show much regard for, her brother didn’t show much regard for.”

Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann: A Timeline of Their Lasting Relationship

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 11:12 AM PST

Mariska Hargitay should thank Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for more than decades on the air. The hit NBC drama also introduced her to husband Peter Hermann.

The couple, who tied the knot in August 2004, began their lasting relationship after the Younger star made a guest appearance on the show during season 3 in 2002. Hermann continued his role as Trevor Langan to Hargitay's Olivia Benson throughout the series' run, popping in from time to time as their offscreen romance thrived.

Two years after their wedding, the pair welcomed son August in June 2006. They kept expanding their family in 2011, adopting daughter Amaya and son Andrew within months of each other.

While the actors remain private the majority of the time, Hargitay opened up to Us Weekly in June 2018 about balancing her professional success with motherhood. "It's hard. I'm not going to say it's easy, it's hard. I'm learning to [balance]. I try to be super present with where I am," she explained. "When I'm at work, I'm at work. When I'm with my kids, I'm with my kids."

Still, the Emmy winner knows how to make it all work — with help from Hermann, of course. "There are days I go home and just cry. There have been days when I didn't see my kids. Those are the days I'm like, 'Maybe I'm done [filming Law & Order: SVU],'" she admitted. "But now, this is a gift of doing something for 20 years. We're such a well-oiled machine. I go in there and I'm like, 'Guys, I've got a kids thing. I'm out.' They're like, 'Got it, boom.'"

Hargitay also knows the importance of alone time with the actor, whom she frequently jets away with on travels around the world.

On Today With Hoda & Jenna, Hargitay opened up about why she got emotional after her first date with Hermann. “I cried because I was feeling something that I’d never felt before, but I kind of knew what it was and I always say people, well, you know, when you’re a little girl, your parents and your grandparents and everyone goes, ‘When you’re in love, you’ll know.’ And I did,” she explained. “And before I did I’d never felt that. A human’s best friend! Many celebs have offered fans a look at their most adorable moments with their pets.

Justin Theroux, who adopted his dog, Kuma, proudly celebrated the third anniversary of her gotcha day.

“I know you can't read Kuma, but thank you for being so open, making me laugh, sleeping in later than me, going everywhere by my side, reminding me to stay in the present, to let things roll off me, to have gratitude and joy for everything, even just waking up,” the Wanderlust actor wrote via Instagram in June 2021. “Reminding me to be playful. For showing patience.”

The actor has enjoyed showing off his new best friend and Kuma was even included in his April/May 2021 cover of Esquire magazine. Theroux continued his post by thanking his dog for “showing kindness first.”

“For being an exceptional (but not uncommon) Pitbull ambassador. For helping save other Pittbulls like yourself by letting me tell people your story… For being loyal. For being my gray shadow … And above all, for guarding the bathroom door literally every time i take a piss like my life depended on it,” he concluded the post.

James Van Deer Beek and his family also shared their excitement about bringing a new dog home.

“We have been incredibly blessed to welcome Theo into our home. His foster parents @haileysani and @tabv saved his life and gave him so much love and we are so very grateful!” Kimberly Van Der Beek captioned a series of photos and videos of her husband spending time with the new family pet in March 2021. “And now having @thezendogla here to help us ease into this new union makes it all feel blessed and real.”

Kimberly continued: “It’s a process that involves patience and love, and we’re here for it! To all the dog lovers out there please watch Dog: Impossible on Disney Jr. Its a game changer and @thezendogla helps you meet your dog where they’re at so that you can learn and grow together.”

James, for his part, thanked the rescue center that allowed him and his family to learn more about adopting animals.

“Thank you to incredible humans @haileysani and @tabv who rescued him from a kill shelter in LA on what would have been his last day on Earth, fostering him, and then driving him halfway across the country… and thank you @thezendogla for helping us deepen our understanding of what it means to live in harmony with these sentient four-legged beings who are so wise… but speak a little different language than we do,” he wrote via Instagram in March 2021.

Celebrity Pets That Have Their Own Social Media Accounts

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 10:26 AM PST

Celebrities are just as obsessed with their pets as everyone else — so much so that some have even created social media accounts for their animals, which have gained some pretty big followings.

Paris Hilton has an entire Instagram dedicated to all of her "fur kids" called Hilton Pets. The special account is where the businesswoman has shared an abundance of footage of her various pets, including Hilton's many dogs.

The Simple Life alum is such a dedicated dog mom, that she has ensured that they can live their most luxurious lives possible. "My dogs live in this two-story doggy mansion that has air conditioning, heating, designer furniture and a chandelier," she tweeted in 2017. "Loves it."

Hilton also created a TikTok page for her adorable animals in July 2020.

Amanda Seyfried launched an Instagram for her rescue dog, Finn, in November 2015. In the pup's debut post, he was dressed in a coat with a faux fur trim on the hood and seemingly took a phone call. The funny clip was set to "Hello" by Adele.

The Mamma Mia! star's love for her own dog has led to her becoming an animal activist. "The amazing connection I share with Finn has made me appreciate being present and to not take any moment you have with the people and animals you love for granted," she told E! News in 2016. "Our special bond initiated my passion to work with Best Friends Animal Society to ensure we find forever homes for as many homeless and shelter animals as possible, and to have them experience the same joy I feel with Finn."

Olivia Culpo, meanwhile, never anticipated becoming a doggy mom. However, she went on to adopt her puppy, Oliver Sprinkles Culpo McCaffrey, in July 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. Upon welcoming her new pet home, she launched an official Instagram page for the golden doodle.

"2019: I'm not a dog person," the model wrote via Instagram in September 2020. "2020: leaves dogsitter a list that includes a mandatory 'potty time' song, instruction on how to hand massage his kibble and a note in his lunch box doused in my favorite perfume incase he misses mommy."

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 10:20 AM PST

Kate Hudson hasn’t had the easiest journey when it comes to love — but she found something special with Danny Fujikawa.

The couple began dating in 2016 and announced that they were expecting their first child together two years later. Hudson surprised fans with her pregnancy news, posting footage of a sex reveal party on Instagram.

“If you’ve wondered why I’ve been so absent on my social channels it’s because I have never been more sick! [It] was the most sick first trimester of all my children,” the Almost Famous star captioned the April 2018 clip. “Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food instagrams make me queezy and thinking too much about insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been. If you’ve seen me out and about smiling and pretending like everything is amazing … I was lying!”

The Fabletics cofounder and the musician were “trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible” but couldn’t do much to conceal her “poppin” belly, she joked. “And it’s too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting then just coming out with it! My kids, Danny, myself and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way 💕.”

Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa arrived later that year, joining the Bride Wars actress’ two sons: Ryder, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, whose father is Matt Bellamy. Hudson was previously engaged to the Muse singer from 2011 to 2014.

I’m attracted to musical people, period. From the outside, yeah, I get it. ‘Oh, I like a rock star,’ or whatever. But that’s not really what it is,” she told InStyle in March 2021. “The reason I connect so deeply with musicians … is because we all connect to music in a way that you don’t have to explain. You just feel it, and it’s something you love. The lifestyle is not something to fall in love with.”

Hudson boasts a string of famous exes — and was briefly linked to Nick Jonas and Diplo before finding her match in Fujikawa. “I've got the best man,” she gushed in the December 2019 issue of Women’s Health. “It’s the first time I feel like I have a real teammate in this. We’re able to pick up where the other one has to leave off.”

The former Chief singer has been a huge help in navigating Hudson’s unique coparenting arrangement. In April 2021, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star has a “great dynamic” with each of her kids’ fathers.

“They all work as a team to put the kids’ needs first,” the insider noted.

Five months later, the duo got engaged.

October 2017
Hudson gushed about her man and their relationship during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying that the musician loved her buzzed haircut for her role in the movie Sister. “I hope our relationship can transcend hair,” the Golden Globe winner joked at the time. Prior to this relationship, the Marshall star was linked to Nick Jonas and Diplo. Hudson shares Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, whom she was married to from 2000 to 2007. December 2017
The couple celebrated their first date anniversary on December 3, 2017, and the actress took to Instagram with a loving note about their relationship milestone. In the caption of a photo of them kissing, Hudson revealed that they had met 15 years prior to them dating. “The first time I met Danny I was 23 and enormously pregnant with Ryder. His step sisters are my best friends @sarafoster @erinfoster and so it goes we have been in the same circle for over a decade!” she wrote. “A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date. No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move! And as a kiss on this bridge would have been nice, the kiss a year later was so much sweeter.” She added: “So on our 15th year of knowing each other we were able to open our hearts to each other to feel so much pure love and it’s been truly incredible. Happy first date anniversary baby. #LoveThisMan #WhatAYear.” Courtesy of Kate Hudson/Instagram

Life imitating art? Kate Hudson reveals that planning her wedding to fiancé Danny Fujikawa is starting to feel a lot like her 2009 film Bride Wars — and that's not necessarily a good thing.

On Monday, November 8, the 42-year-old actress admitted that she's "pre-planning the planning" of her nuptials to the 35-year-old musician. "Just kind of thinking of what we want to do and then I’m going back and forth between like, what is this really going to look like?” she told Entertainment Tonight.

The Almost Famous star hasn't officially locked in a date or a venue just yet — but it's not because she's apprehensive about tying the knot.

"Obviously, we're so excited," she said. "But the idea of planning a wedding is, like, a lot, it’s a lot." She added, “I made a whole movie about it.”

Over a decade ago, Hudson starred alongside Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars, which looked at two friends who had spent their whole lives dreaming up their perfect wedding.

When they were kids, the besties both agreed that the Plaza Hotel in New York City is the premiere venue. Unfortunately, after a clerical error leaves them both fighting to book their dream space for the same date, the two women find themselves in a battle of epic proportions that could end their life-long friendship for good.

While Hudson is still hashing out the details of her wedding to Fujikawa, she already knows that her kids Ryder, 17, Bingham, 10, and Rani, 3, will play a part in the event. “I think they’re really excited,” she told ET on Monday. “It was something they were really excited for, all of us, and I’m just really happy.”

The Truth Be Told star was previously married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, who is the father of her eldest son Ryder, for six years before their divorce in 2007. She was then engaged to Bingham's dad, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, from 2011 to 2014. She began dating Fujikawa two years later after knowing each other for years.

The pair, who share daughter Rani, announced their engagement in September after nearly five years of dating. "Let's go!" Hudson captioned a sweet photo of the two embracing on a beach.

While celebrating her one-year anniversary with Fujikawa in December 2017, the Pretty Happy author reflected on having met him years earlier while she was pregnant with Ryder in 2004.

Ryan Reynolds Shares Key to His and Blake’s Marriage: ‘We Grow Together’

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 10:13 AM PST

These days, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are royalty as far as Hollywood couples go, but the Detective Pikachu star and the Age of Adaline actress were once just two friends out on a double date — with other people!

As Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM show in February 2016: “We went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl — and that was, like, the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across."

Still, the Critics' Choice winner said he was glad that the two started off as "buddies." "I remember it was funny, because for about a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and all that stuff, we were both single," he said of their shared 2010 film. "I think the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends."

It's certainly worked out for the duo. Not only did they go to tie the knot in September 2012, but they have since welcomed three children together.

The pair share daughters James and Inez — born in 2015 and 2016, respectively — and a third daughter, born in the summer of 2019. Us Weekly broke the news of baby No. 3’s arrival in October 2019.

Nearly a year later, Taylor Swift released "Betty" on her Folklore album, sparking speculation that the couple named their youngest daughter Betty — she also sang about Inez and James on the track. In August 2020, the musician confirmed that she "named all the characters in this story after my friends' kids."

Ahead of becoming a family of five, Reynolds joked about the couple's relationship trajectory.

"One of the most common things in the world is making out, having a couple of drinks, and then doing it, and then having a baby. I was perfectly sober for this one, though. I gotta say," Reynolds told EW in his 2016 interview, after the pair’s second child was born. "It's amazing."

As for the Shallows star, she told Vogue in August 2014: "Everything we do in life, we do together. If I’m working on a movie, he helps me with my character; I do the same with him."

They also famously troll one another on social media: Lively razzes Reynolds about his parenting skills, while he teases her cooking abilities, ranking them beneath pal Jake Gyllenhaal's.

Stevie J and Faith Evans Split After 3 Years of Marriage

Posted: 09 Nov 2021 10:02 AM PST

Heartbreak club. Not all celebrity couples got the fairy-tale ending they were hoping for in 2021, including Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley.

Us Weekly confirmed on January 7 that the Even Stevens alum and the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress had split after one month of dating.

The pair's breakup came amid LaBeouf's legal trouble with ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs, who accused the actor in December 2020 of "relentless abuse" while they were together. The Peanut Butter Falcon star said in a statement to The New York Times that "many of these allegations are not true" but accepted "accountability" for his past mistakes.

Us confirmed on January 18 that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas had called it quits after dating less than a year. The Deep Water costars were first linked in March 2020 after meeting on the set of their upcoming film.

"Ben and Ana were so close to each other," a source told Us following the breakup. "They have their issues, but still want to remain on good terms and keep a friendship."

Couples who met on reality TV shows also experienced heartache in 2021, with The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart winners Bri Stauss and Chris Watson announcing their split on January 19.

Love Island season 2 winners Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew separated the same month. Their breakup came three months after the show's finale aired.

Alice Evans, meanwhile, shocked many fans when she claimed in a since-deleted tweet on January 26 that her husband of 13 years, Ioan Gruffudd, told her "he is to leave his family" without any further explanation. The Titanic actor and Evans later shared a joint statement to Us, saying, "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

The Mentalist's Simon Baker and Rebecca Rigg called it quits after 29 years of marriage in late January, saying in a joint statement that they "remain close friends and our three children will always be the most important focus of our lives."

And after finishing her "year of health" in December 2020, Rebel Wilson revealed via an Instagram post in February 2021 that she was single after dating Jacob Busch for more than a year.

"They talked all throughout the holidays and had excellent communication, but then, all of a sudden, she got really quiet and broke up with him via text message about two or three weeks ago," a source exclusively told Us on February 4, confirming the breakup.
