Aaron Rodgers Is Under Review by NFL After Testing Positive for COVID-19 Posted: 03 Nov 2021 05:19 PM PDT ![]() Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will be investigated by the NFL amid concerns that they may have broken COVID-19 protocols. News broke on Wednesday, November 3, that the 37-year-old quarterback tested positive for COVID-19, with multiple outlets reporting that Rodgers is considered unvaccinated by league standards. "The primary responsibility for enforcement of the COVID-19 protocols within club facilities rests with each club," a spokesperson for the NFL told USA Today Sports in a statement on Wednesday. "Failure to properly enforce the protocols has resulted in discipline being assessed against individual clubs in the past. The league is aware of the current situation in Green Bay and will be reviewing the matter with the Packers." In accordance with the NFL's COVID-19 protocols for unvaccinated players, Rodgers will miss his Sunday, November 7, game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The California native will not be eligible to return to the sport until Saturday, November 13, per the league's rules for unvaccinated athletes. He must remain quarantined for 10 days and as long as he remains asymptomatic, he will be cleared after missing only one start. The reigning NFL MVP previously spoke about his vaccination status in August, saying he was "immunized," but not explicitly saying the he’s vaccinated. “You know, there’s a lot of conversation around it, around the league, and a lot of guys who have made statements and not made statements, owners who have made statements,” Rodgers said at the time, per ESPN. “There’s guys on the team that haven’t been vaccinated. I think it’s a personal decision. I’m not going to judge those guys. There are guys that’ve been vaccinated that have contracted COVID. It’s an interesting issue that I think we’re going to see played out the entire season.” Rodgers, who announced his engagement to Shailene Woodley in February, had an alternative treatment prior to starting the 2021 season, according to ESPN. The athlete reportedly petitioned the NFL to have the treatment allow him to be considered the same as someone who was fully vaccinated, but he was denied. The former Jeopardy! guest host has since been considered an unvaccinated player in the league and therefore has been required to receive daily tests for the virus. Rodgers has yet to publicly comment on the news but could face a fine for refusing to adhere to the proper guidelines if the NFL finds he was not acting within the correct COVID-19 protocols. A repeat violator would be fined up to one week's salary or face suspension for up to four games, USA Today Sports reported. |
JoJo Siwa: My GF Kylie Prew and I Split Hours Before 'DWTS' Disney Night Posted: 03 Nov 2021 04:47 PM PDT A not-so-magical morning. JoJo Siwa reflected on her split from Kylie Prew, revealing the two called it quits ahead of her Dancing With the Stars Disney heroes dance last month. "We officially broke up the morning that I did the Prince Charming number on Dancing With the Stars," Siwa, 18, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, November 2, while promoting her new Peacock series, Siwas Dance Pop Revolution. "It’s been a few weeks and it’s been tough, but we’re getting through it." Looking back, Siwa revealed that having to perform her Disney heroes dance on October 11, just hours after they split, was the best thing for her but there were definitely some mixed emotions going into it. "I would have handled it so much differently [if I wasn't on the show]. I just want[ed] time to be sad," she recalled, adding that she didn't have time to cry. "And then I got that [time to be sad] and I was like, 'I've been very lucky that I don’t have much of that right now.' And I realized what was making me sad is I felt like I couldn’t be friends with Ky anymore. And then I was like, 'This is dumb.' We started being friends by Snapchatting every day. We’re going to go back to being friends." The Dance Moms alum noted that she and Prew, 18, are now "both good and we’re both happy and we’re both healthy." Siwa previously told Us and other reporters on October 12 that she learned firsthand that "dance is an escape" after finishing her Disney villains dance with partner Jenna Johnson, which happened one day after her breakup. "This week was very, very extreme and something that I had never gone through and something that I've never felt before," the Nebraska native explained at the time, not going into detail about what had transpired. "I'm really lucky that every day this week, I got to spend three hours with my best friend in rehearsals. It definitely has been a week, but because of my family, because of this song, because of the show, I'm on the other side of it." Us confirmed on October 20 that Siwa and Prew split before the "Boomerang" singer confirmed the news herself on Tuesday. The former Nickelodeon star opened up to Us about her current status with Prew while reflecting on her "first love" and subsequent heartbreak. "It really makes my heart happy though to say that we are still best friends," Siwa told Us on Tuesday. "I was literally just watching videos earlier today, just from the early months of our relationship and just feeling happy." ![]() The dancer explained that Prew has continued to be there for her after she experienced a "rough night" recently. "I called her and she answered my call at 2:00 a.m. her time. So we’re still very close, which I’m happy about," she continued. "But it just wasn’t right to be in a relationship anymore. And that’s OK. We’re both so young, it’s OK to live life and it’s OK for right person wrong time to be a real thing." Siwa isn't ruling out a potential reunion with her ex, either, but for now, she's focused on herself. "Life has a way of working out. [If] we grow up and realize, like, you are The One for me then great. I’m not opposed to it at all," she told Us. "But I just am sitting back. I’m literally strapped into a roller-coaster and I’m like, 'Jesus, take the wheel. You got it, buddy. Let’s go.'" Outside of her love life and dancing on DWTS, Siwa has been working alongside her mom, Jessalynn Siwa, on Peacock's Siwas Dance Pop Revolution competition series. "We all were stuck in quarantine [amid the COVID-19 crisis] and I just started putting it on paper," Jessalyn told Us of the show concept. "And to see it come to life with these fabulous girls and JoJo being the choreographer and the creative director, doing these huge musical numbers of singing and dancing. It was everything I could’ve ever dreamed of." She added: "We’re making stars. We made a pop group with these phenomenal kids and I can’t wait for the world [to see it]." Siwas Dance Pop Revolution premieres on Peacock Thursday, November 4. Fans can also see JoJo on Dancing With the Stars on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. With reporting by Christina Garibaldi |
Joe Amabile: My Katie, Blake 'Bachelor' Breakup Comment Was ‘Just a Joke’ Posted: 03 Nov 2021 04:30 PM PDT After a clip of Joe Amabile shading Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes' joint breakup statement surfaced online, the Bachelor in Paradise alum is setting the record straight about his feelings on the Bachelorette season 17 split. "I'm sure that was taken out of context. It was just a joke, and it was a funny one," Amabile, 35, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting his partnership with Hotwire. "I actually said it on [the] 'Clickbait' [podcast] as well. Sometimes I tell funny jokes, what am I gonna do?" When the reality TV personality and fiancée Serena Pitt appeared at the "Chicks in the Office" live show in Chicago earlier this month, Amabile poked fun at Thurston and Moynes' split announcement, asking future Bachelor couples to be more honest in breakup posts. "I just want a couple in Bachelor Nation to break up and just be like, 'We mutually f—king hate each other. We hate each other, thank you for all the love and support, but the past six months have been terrible,'" he quipped. "If [Serena and I] breakup, like, it's going to get ugly, like, we're going to talk s—t and ‘f—k you.’" Pitt, 24, assured the crowd that the pair were solid, but agreed with her fiancé. "We're engaged, we're in love, we plan to spend the rest of our lives together, it's not going to be a small hiccup, like, it's going to be ugly or something huge that breaks us up," Pitt explained, adding, "Hopefully that doesn't that happen." Thurston, 30, and Moynes, 31, announced their split on October 25 via the same statement on Instagram: "It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently. We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision." Amabile, for his part, told Us that he is rooting for both of them. "I think whatever is best for them individually is what they need to do at this time," he concluded. "I'm gonna give them their space, obviously, and I hope nothing but the best for them." In the meantime, Amabile is focused on Hotwire's Love at Last Minute contest, which is open until Friday, November 5. "We are looking for couples that met during quarantine and haven't had a chance to take a trip together. There's a poll, like, 74 percent of Americans said traveling is the best compatibility test and I actually believe that myself," he explained. "So I have picked the cities — Charleston, Atlanta, and my hometown, Chicago — and we are choosing three couples that we think could potentially go the distance to win these trips. All they have to do is go to quickie.hotwire.com and send them a video showing off themselves basically. … And after that trip, we're going to reevaluate and if we think one of the couples or all three of them could go the distance, they will win a $10,000 fancy trip on Hotwire." |
Back On? Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 03 Nov 2021 03:24 PM PDT Costars, friends, exes and beyond! Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke have been through it all on Summer House — and their relationship continues to keep fans guessing. When it premiered on Bravo in January 2017, the publicist and the Pittsburgh native were part of the OG cast of Summer House and have since returned for every season. During their fourth outing to the Hamptons in 2019, they attempted to turn their friendship into a romance, but things briefly turned tumultuous when he confessed that he wasn't interested in a serious relationship with her. They took another turn when Radke asked out a fitness instructor — in front of Hubbard. "Shortly before filming this past summer, Carl and I wound up single at the same time. It was then that he decided to shoot his shot. Honestly, good for him. As he should have," Hubbard wrote in March 2020 via Instagram as the reality aired. "You have seen this all play out on the last 5 episodes of #SummerHouse But there is no rule book written on how to go from best friends to then being romantic and then back to friends again. And to do it while we are filming, and while living in the same house under the scrutiny of everyone around us. It truly was a rollercoaster of emotions, and you guys are on that rollercoaster with us." Radke, who is now sober, acknowledged at the time that alcohol may have played a role in his decisions. "Lindsay's a beautiful girl. Like, you're drinking, having fun, I'm single … and they say date your best friend. Usually, that goes well," he said while promoting season 4, adding during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, “There were a few mornings when I woke up and didn't even know what happened the night before." Hubbard and Radke subsequently continued their friendship and she supported him following the sudden death of his brother during season 5 of the Bravo show. As he worked through substance abuse issues, the Loverboy businessman revealed in October 2021 that he marked 10 months of sobriety. His relationship with Hubbard, meanwhile, made headlines again that fall after they shared several cozy snaps via social media — and wore a couples costume on Halloween. "He’s such an amazing guy, and I have loved his sobriety journey … I’ve always seen the good in Carl, but it was sometimes masked by the bad that his drinking would bring out of him, and once he eliminated that, it’s just all good all the time," she said during a November 2021 appearance on the "Reality Life With Kate Casey" podcast. "We hang out all the time. We do everything together. We live in the same building." Scroll through for a timeline of their relationship: ![]() When the first season of the Bravo series filmed in 2016, Radke was new to the group but hit it off with Hubbard fairly quickly. Heidi Gutman/Bravo (2) ![]() Their friendship continued to grow during seasons 2 and 3 of Summer House. Lindsay Hubbard / Instagram ![]() Hubbard reflected on their brief romance as the series was airing. “For everyone saying that this situation was ‘scripted’ or was for a ‘storyline,’ it wasn’t. Unfortunately going into it, Carl didn’t exactly understand that I’m not dating just to date at this point in my life (even if he is my best friend), or that he wasn’t quite ready for the level of commitment I need in a relationship,” she wrote in March 2020. “Our expectations were not aligned, which is where it all went wrong. Trust me, he knows, and I made it very clear to him back in July as you are seeing now. I held him accountable then and he holds himself accountable now. Carl is growing, albeit slowly, but he’s getting there. He watched the episode and called me saying, ‘I’m sorry Hubb House. Watching this back, I realize I was wrong, and it’s hard to watch.’” Jeff Tan/Bravo ![]() Radke opted not to film Winter House, a crossover series of Southern Charm and Summer House, in February 2021 as he focused on his sobriety. “We’ve been super close, we’ve been best friends, we started the show together. Not having him at Winter House was very strange for me. I mean, he was helping me pack the night before I left,” Hubbard told Us ahead of the spinoff show’s October 2021 premiere. “I FaceTimed him a bunch while I was there and we hang out all the time, we live in the same building in New York and we’re just, like, really, really close.” Zack DeZon/Bravo ![]() The pair returned to the Hamptons to film season 6 during the summer of 2021. There's no surprise there. And you know, like, we decided to go to this Halloween brunch together [with] four friends. They have two young kids," she told Kate Casey when asked about dating speculation. Courtesy Lindsay Hubbard/Instagram |
Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 03 Nov 2021 03:11 PM PDT Has Kendall Jenner found The One? The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is loving life with beau Devin Booker, but the twosome's relationship got off to a messy start. Jenner and Booker were first spotted on a double date — with other people — in May 2018. While the model was seeing Ben Simmons at the time, Booker was linked to Kylie Jenner's then-best friend Jordyn Woods. Us Weekly confirmed in February 2019 that Booker and Woods' relationship quietly fizzled out before she was caught kissing Khloé Kardashian's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, at a party. The scandal, which prompted Kardashian and Thompson to split, also resulted in the end of Woods and Kylie's friendship. (Kardashian and Thompson got back together in August 2020.) Kendall and Simmons, meanwhile, continued to date on and off. "I'm very young and right now I feel like relationships aren't always super-certain and I don't want to bring too much attention to something if you don't really know long term [what it's going to be],” she told Vogue in May 2019. “A relationship is only meant to be between two people, and the second you make it the world's business is when it starts messing with the two people mentally. Like once everyone is let in, you're letting all these opinions into your relationships, and I don't think that's fair." Kendall and Simmons were last spotted together in February 2020. "A lot of the relationships have taught me more about myself, which is the most valuable," she said during a behind-the-scenes video for a Calvin Klein campaign at the time. "And like, what I want from a person or from a relationship." That April, the E! personality was spotted out with Booker. Woods was subsequently accused of throwing shade via Twitter. "Haha good morning," the influencer wrote alongside three trash can emojis in a since-deleted tweet. Kendall, for her part, never acknowledged Woods' alleged shade. She did, however, fire back at social media users who accused her of "passing around" NBA players after she was seen with the Phoenix Suns player. "They act like I'm not in full control of where I throw this cooch," Kendall, who has also been linked to Blake Griffin, tweeted in April 2020. Heart Eyes! Devin Booker Shares Rare Look at Kendall Jenner Romance Posted: 03 Nov 2021 02:56 PM PDT ![]() Lucky in love! Devin Booker gave fans a rare glimpse of his relationship with Kendall Jenner as the model celebrated her 26th birthday. “Most beautiful woman,” the 25-year-old NBA athlete wrote via his Instagram Story on Wednesday, November 3, alongside a photo of the pair smiling as they sat around a dinner table. Booker later shared a second photo of the twosome getting cozy in matching hoodies. He added an emoji of a padlock to the snap, which featured him with his arms wrapped around Jenner from behind. ![]() The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum also received birthday wishes from her family members on Wednesday, including her mom, Kris Jenner, who posted a handful of throwback photos from Kendall’s childhood. “Happy happiest birthday to my amazing, kind, caring, compassionate, smart, gorgeous, intelligent, loving, brilliant, genuine, beautiful inside and out, coolest, most stylish daughter @kendalljenner who has the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile and who lights up every room she walks into!!!!” the momager, 65, captioned the slideshow. “Kenny, you light up my life every single day and I am so proud of you!! Thank you for every single memory we have made and for always being my ride or die.” Kylie Jenner, for her part, gushed over her “partner in crime” and “best friend” in a social media tribute of her own. “I wouldn’t want to walk through life with anyone else. I love you forever horsegirlkj Kendall celebrated her birthday with a star-studded bash in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 31. The costume party was attended by Kim Kardashian, French Montana, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin), per Vogue, but Booker didn’t appear to be there alongside his girlfriend. Us Weekly confirmed in June 2020 that Kendall was “hooking up” with the Phoenix Suns player, two months after they were spotted together in Arizona. The pair have kept their relationship relatively private ever since, but “care about one another immensely,” a source told Us in March. “But it’s not like they will be getting engaged any time soon,” the insider noted at the time. “Kendall likes the pace at which things are going at the moment and has no plans to elevate things so quickly.” That same month, a separate source revealed that Kendall’s family members are “fond of” the Olympian, telling Us, “They’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with him and find him very charming, respectful and fun.” The pair marked their first anniversary in June as KUWTK came to an end. At the time, the show’s executive producer Farnaz Farjam explained why Kendall’s relationships hardly ever made it to air. “Kendall’s always had this rule — she just felt like she had to be with someone for at least a year before she lets them be a part of the show, because she doesn’t always know what people’s intentions are,” Farjam told Bravo’s “The Daily Dish” podcast. “So that’s why we kind of kept her personal life out of it, just because she had a rule.” |
Still Just Friends? Kim K. and Pete Davidson's Staten Island Date Details Posted: 03 Nov 2021 02:08 PM PDT ![]() The king of Staten Island! During Kim Kardashian‘s visit to New York City, the reality star found herself the perfect tour guide — Pete Davidson. Kardashian, 40, and Davidson, 27, had dinner at Campania's on Tuesday, November 3, Us Weekly can confirm. The duo arrived through a back door to the restaurant, according to an eyewitness, and sat at a private dining room. During the outing, the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and the comedian "shared a couple of pizzas," the source tells Us, noting that everyone in the restaurant "let them have their space" and privacy while eating. The low-key dinner comes after the duo were recently photographed holding hands on a roller-coaster ride at Knott's Scary Farm in California on Friday, October 29. The stand-up and the beauty mogul were joined by Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker and others as they celebrated Halloween at the festive location. After the snap of Kim and Davidson made headlines, a source told Us that their relationship was platonic for now. "No one really knows what is going on with Kim and Pete," the insider noted. "They are just friends right now, but things could turn romantic." A second source added that the KKW founder was "surprised" by her chemistry with the Saturday Night Live cast member. "Kim is single and having fun at the moment," the insider told Us. The TV personality originally spent time with Davidson during her time as host on the NBC sketch show. The pair took part in several skits together, including one about her sister Kourtney, 42, and the Poosh founder’s fiancé, Barker, 45. The Guy Code alum, who played his friend Machine Gun Kelly in the sketch, later shared a kiss with Kim during an Aladdin-themed spoof. Following the October 9 episode, Kenan Thompson revealed to Us that "it was part of the talks" for Kim’s estranged husband, Kanye West, to potentially join her on stage. "It was always, you know, up to him and her. Whatever they wanted to do it. It’s her night," Thompson, 43, told Us at the time. "He probably felt like [that] as well. He might’ve just been like, 'Why don’t you have your moment? And I’ll be here, you know, behind the scenes to support you.' That’s the kind of vibe I got from it." Following Kim’s appearance on SNL, another source shared with Us that the exes, who called it quits earlier this year after almost 7 years of marriage, “were in touch throughout the week” about her performance. The insider explained that while the twosome “are not together romantically anymore” they still continue to collaborate together. TMZ was the first to report the news. |
Marvel Stars Who Dated Each Other Posted: 03 Nov 2021 02:00 PM PDT Marvel movies aren’t exactly known for sweeping romantic moments, but there are a handful of iconic couples who manage to keep love alive while saving the world: Pepper Potts and Tony Stark, for example, or Vision and Wanda Maximoff. The film and TV empire also boasts a few off-screen love matches too, though many of them happened before the Marvel Cinematic Universe was firmly established. Before Iron Man kicked off Phase 1 in 2008, there was 2003’s Daredevil, starring Ben Affleck as blind superhero Matt Murdock. The movie wasn’t a critical hit, but it was the place where the Argo director fell in love with Jennifer Garner, who played Elektra. The former couple first met while filming 2000’s Pearl Harbor, but the Oscar winner later said that they didn’t really hit it off until 2002 when they were filming Daredevil. “That's where I found my wife," he told Playboy of the movie in 2013. The duo tied the knot in June 2005 and were married for 10 years before calling it quits. The twosome share three children: daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel. Another real-life Marvel couple met before either party was ever involved in one of the beloved comic-book movies. Three years before she took on the role of Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson started dating Ryan Reynolds, who would later play Marvel antihero Deadpool. The duo were wed from 2008 to 2011. Reynolds, for his part, went on to marry Blake Lively, who he actually did meet on the set of a comic-book movie: Green Lantern (which is DC, not Marvel). "I met Blake on the darkest crease in the anus of the universe called Green Lantern,” the Free Guy star joked during a July 2021 episode of the “SmartLess” podcast. “We were friends and buddies, and about a year and a half later, we went on a double date, but we were dating separate people." After taking a train ride to Boston together, their fate was sealed. Once Reynolds realized that his friendship with Lively could evolve into something more, he said it was like “one of those silly moments out of a fairy tale.” After one year of dating, the couple tied the knot in September 2012. The pair share three daughters: Inez, James, and Betty. “They are the most capable people I know,” the Canada native told Access of his wife and kids in November 2020. “So I think if anything got crazy or scary in my life, they are the first people I would lean on because they have wisdom and strength and they're calm under fire.” Keep scrolling for a look back at Marvel stars who once dated: ![]() Before making her way in the Marvel world, the Lost in Translation star started dating the future Deadpool actor in 2007. Kody Brown’s Wives Can’t ‘Compete’ With Robyn Amid Split From Christine Posted: 03 Nov 2021 02:00 PM PDT ![]() Unbreakable bond? Sister Wives star Kody Brown is closer than ever with his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, amid the news of his split from Christine Brown. "The other wives can’t compete against Robyn," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "Robyn and Kody are a dream couple. She has him wrapped around her finger." Katie Thurston Thanks Friends Who 'Rally' Around Her After Blake Split Posted: 03 Nov 2021 12:45 PM PDT ![]() Taking her time. Katie Thurston is still healing after her split from Blake Moynes — and she’s grateful her inner circle is giving her the space to do so. “My family and friends continue to rally around me and I am so fortunate,” the season 17 Bachelorette, 30, wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, November 3, alongside a white heart emoji. Thurston shared a photo of a bouquet of flowers sent by Bachelor Nation’s Chris Conran and Alana Milne, who penned a thoughtful note to accompany the gift. “Don’t let anyone treat you like free salsa,” the couple wrote. “You are guac, girl. GUAC.” The Washington native got engaged to Moynes, 31, during the August finale of the ABC series. Less than three months later, the twosome announced that they had gone their separate ways. “We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” Thurston wrote in an Instagram statement on October 25. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.” Shortly before confirming their split, the wildlife manager, who shared a similar statement about the breakup, spent time in Africa for work. Thurston told Us Weekly on October 22 that the duo were still “figuring it out” when it came to making their long-distance love work, but in the end, it was too challenging. “Katie wished he would be with her more,” a source told Us after the breakup. “They definitely tried. [She] didn't want to put on a facade if they truly weren't on the best terms.” As the reality stars continue to work through their split, they’ve each turned to their closest friends for support. Moynes opened up about “getting back into the swing of things” in a candid Instagram post on Monday, November 1, alongside a handful of pics with his pets. “When times are really tough and things just aren’t going the way you had hoped.. it’s always the same ‘gang’ that gets ya back on your feet,” he noted, thanking his “new found social family for all the love, support, encouragement and even patience over the past week.” Thurston, for her part, got emotional while defending the “authenticity” of the duo’s brief relationship. “For those people passing judgment, like, I can only hope to be so luck as you to find a forever love on the first time, you know?” she said in an Instagram video addressing the naysayers. “Ending a relationship isn’t something new. … I think Blake and I were very fortunate to recognize things early and made the best decision for us that [comes] with its own challenges, like, we are still processing a lot of waves of emotions.” |
Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill Deny Claim That He Cheated, Sent Nude Photo Posted: 03 Nov 2021 12:41 PM PDT ![]() Defending their marriage. Cynthia Bailey and her husband, Mike Hill, addressed rumors that he was unfaithful to her. The talk show host, 51, told TMZ on Tuesday, November 2, that the allegation that he sent a nude photo of himself to another woman is "not true." Bailey, 54, called the ordeal "very annoying," as Hill agreed with her. "We're great," she added. "Rumors are rumors." The sportscaster claimed that he would "absolutely" take legal action against his accuser if the allegations continue. "We'll take care of it the way it's supposed to be taken care of." As for the identity of the person who called his fidelity into question, Hill said he has "no idea who it is," but he hopes they "get help." An anonymous Twitter user claimed earlier this week that Hill sent a nude photo of himself via Snapchat, screenshotting his alleged username and profile as well as what appeared to be him typing a message. The person later shared a side-by-side comparison of the nude pic and a screenshot from the New York native's Instagram Story that showed him wearing what appeared to be the same clothing and sitting in a similar chair. The accuser has since deleted the allegations and their account. ![]() Bailey confirmed her relationship with Hill in August 2018. The couple got engaged in July 2019 and tied the knot in October 2020. Prior to the wedding, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum confessed that she and her then-fiancé had trouble staying connected amid the coronavirus pandemic. "Quarantine in a house with all your kids, can you imagine trying to have sex with your man?" she exclusively told Us Weekly during an August 2020 episode of the "Getting Real With the Housewives" podcast. "You know how horrible that is to have, like, quiet, secret sex all the time? It's like [the kids] know it's happening, but you can't, like, be loud. It sucks. It really sucks." A year later, Bailey announced that she was leaving RHOA. "Thank you to my Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates for eleven of the most unbelievable years of my life; and the most incredible & UNFORGETTABLE memories!" she wrote via Instagram in September. "I am so grateful to have had this amazing journey, and I am anxiously waiting to embark on new adventures. Most importantly, THANK YOU to my fans! I could not have done it without your blessings, love, and support." She concluded: "It's time to move on to my next chapter, and I look forward to sharing it with all of you. See you guys soon!" The reality star was married to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017. She shares daughter Noelle, 21, with ex Leon Robinson, while Hill has daughters Kayla and Ashleé from two previous marriages. |
Carlos and Alexa PenaVega Say Their 1st Book Is a 'Big Therapy Session' Posted: 03 Nov 2021 12:40 PM PDT Putting pen to paper! Whether it be a memoir, children’s book or something in between, celebrities — including the Kardashian sisters, Michelle Obama and Mindy Kaling — have all taken their talents outside of the realm of Hollywood by becoming successful authors. The Mindy Project alum made her authorial debut in 2011 when Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) hit shelves, followed by Questions I Ask When I Want to Talk About Myself: 50 Topics to Share With Friends in 2013 and Why Not Me? in 2015. Her 2020 essay collection, Nothing Like I Imagined (Except for Sometimes), explored her identities as an Indian woman, an actress and a single mom. “I think I am so used to labels. The labels have been the center stone of my entire career. And sometimes they’re useful because it separates me from other people,” the Never Have I Ever producer told NPR in October 2020. “But I don’t think I would get far in this business if I had a thin skin about labels because for me — and it’s not just those. It’s, like, not traditionally thin, like, dark-skinned, like, not your Bollywood — so I’ve had these since — pretty much since I had my own show, I was sort of inundated with how other I was and really quickly. I think I’m pretty comfortable with them. And actually as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to embrace them a little bit.” Kaling welcomed her daughter, Katherine, in 2017, and her son, Spencer, made a surprise arrival three years later. Dating as a single mother has been “complicated,” she wrote in her 2020 book. “Sometimes it’s the most liberating and lucky feeling in the world,” she explained. “Sometimes I am just so grateful to be an independent woman doing what I want, when I want, that I could cry with gratitude. … I save a truly staggering amount of time not having to run my parenting decisions by another person. Good or bad, I can just, like, quickly make a decision and move on with my day.” While the Office alum chose to go into detail about her current lifestyle, Obama delved deeper into her upbringing in her 2018 memoir, Becoming, which sold more than 2 million copies in two weeks, breaking the record for the year’s highest-selling book. In 24 chapters, the former first lady describes how her childhood in Chicago led her to where she is now. Obama embarked on a nationwide tour to promote the book, sitting down with an accomplished and diverse group of guests in front of sold-out crowds. Little Mix Breaks Their Silence on Jesy Nelson Feud Posted: 03 Nov 2021 12:35 PM PDT Bad blood? Jesy Nelson doesn’t appear to be on the best of terms with her former band, Little Mix — but the reason why might need a little explaining. After winning The X-Factor UK in 2011, the original quartet — which included Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall — became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time thanks to hits like "Wings" and "Shout Out to My Ex." However, in December 2020, Nelson announced she was leaving the band to focus on her mental health. "I need to spend time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy," the British musician explained via Instagram, telling fans that after nine years she was "ready to embark on a new chapter in my life.” She added at the time, "I'm not sure what it's going to look like right now, but I hope you'll still be there to support me." Following her announcement, Edwards, Pinnock and Thirlwall publicly supported her decision, but also let fans know they would continue making music. "We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over," they noted via Instagram. In January 2021, Little Mix released their first photo without Nelson. Four months later, the remaining members dropped their first song as a trio — a remix of their 2020 song "Confetti" featuring rapper Saweetie. Later that year, the band announced their first greatest hits album, Between Us, which "includes all our hits, as well as some brand new songs we can’t wait for you to hear," the trio tweeted of the November 2021 release, adding, "This album is for each and every one of you who’s listened to our music, bought an album or sung your heart out at our shows. We wouldn’t be here releasing this album if it wasn’t for you.” While Nelson's former bandmates worked on new music and welcomed babies — Edwards and Pinnock both became first-time moms in 2021 — she was in the studio working on her solo debut. Nelson returned to the scene in October 2021 with her first single, "Boyz," featuring Nicki Minaj. After the release of the song's video, she was accused of "blackfishing," which refers to when a non-Black person uses photoshop, makeup or other means to make their skin or appearance look more Black. Edward, Pinnock and Thirlwall got dragged into the controversy — along with Minaj. Keep scrolling to find out everything you need to know about where Jesy Nelson stands with her ex-girl group: ![]() Nelson announced via Instagram in December 2020 that she would be leaving the group after nine years. “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health,” she explained at the time. The remaining members of Little Mix later told fans it was “an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy,” also revealing that they would be continuing on without her. News of Nelson’s departure came one month after the singer told fans she would be taking “an extended break” from Little Mix “for private medical reasons.” Shutterstock (2) ![]() After releasing a video for her first solo single, “Boyz," in October 2021, the Brit was accused of “blackfishing.” In response to the criticism, Nelson told Vulture that month, “I love Black culture. I love Black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on,” claiming she's “very aware that I’m a white British woman; I’ve never said that I wasn’t.” The X-Factor UK alum had a message for the haters. “I want to be authentic and true to myself, and if people don’t like that, don’t be my fan,” she said. “Don’t be a part of my journey.” Beretta/Sims/Shutterstock ![]() Shortly after the Vulture interview was published, Little Mix fans noticed that Edwards, Pinnock and Thirlwall had unfollowed Nelson. Edwards’ dog, Hatchi, had also unfollowed the About a Boy actress. The trio did not comment as to why they ditched their former bandmate on social media, but fans believed it was tied to Nelson’s response to the backlash about her music video. Shutterstock ![]() The “Starships” rapper, who is featured on Nelson’s “Boyz,” spoke out in the singer’s defense while accusing the British singer’s former bandmates, who she did not address by name, of being jealous. "Stop. If you want a solo career, baby girl, just say that," Minaj said during an Instagram Live she cohosted with Nelson in October 2021. "You can go out and put [out] your own music. We're gonna support you and love you. That's it. You don't have to attack someone else.” Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock ![]() Days after Minaj slammed Pinnock and her bandmates for being jealous of Nelson’s solo success, the British singer appeared to address the "Monster" rapper’s comments at her 30th birthday party. “I’m 30 years old. I know my character, you know my character, anyone that meets me knows my f--king character,” she said in a video from the October 16 event, according to Page Six. “That’s all I care about.” Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock ![]() In the wake of the ongoing drama, the “Boyz” singer opened up about where she and her former bandmates stand during an October 2021 appearance on the Graham Norton Show. “We’re not talking anymore,” Nelson admitted during the U.K. talk show interview. “It is sad, but honestly there is no bad blood from my side. I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best. I loved my time with them, and we’ve got the most incredible memories together, but it’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows. To me, they are still the sickest girl band in the world.” INSTAR Images ![]() The trio publicly addressed their feud with Nelson in an October 2021 interview with The Telegraph in which Thirlwall explained that they dealt with their former bandmate “the best way that we know how and got each other through it.” She added, “We don’t want to talk about the video, or be critical, but one thing we will clarify regarding the blackfishing situation is that Jesy was approached by the group in a very friendly, educational manner.” Thirlwall also said that the girl group doesn’t “really want to dwell" on the past "because we have so much to celebrate as a three.” David Fisher/Shutterstock |

The Grammy winner shared the same snap via her Instagram Story with a link to her Dolly Parton online shop, which features Dean's "Dolly Vintage Collage" tee and other merchandise with the "Coat of Many Colors" singer's face on it from her career highlights. Earlier this year, Parton honored her man on his birthday by recreating her Playboy magazine cover more than 40 years after she posed in the iconic bunny ears and corset. "Today is July 20. It's my husband Carl's birthday and you're probably wondering why I'm dressed like this," she explained in a video via Twitter in July while wearing a black body suit, bunny ears and a bowtie. "Remember some time back I said I was going to pose for Playboy magazine when I was 75? Well, I'm 75 and they don't have a magazine anymore.” The "9 to 5" singer, who wed Dean in May 1966, revealed that her "husband always loved" her original cover in 1978, which is what gave her the idea to put on the bunny ensemble once again. "I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I'm a hot chick after 57 years — and I'm not going to try to talk him out of that," she added. Despite being willing to dressed up as a Playboy bunny for her love, Parton has chosen to keep her spouse out of the limelight throughout their marriage. "A lot of people have thought that [he doesn't exist] through the years, because he does not want to be in the spotlight at all," she told Entertainment Tonight in October 2020. "It's just not who he is. He's like, a quiet, reserved person." The Dollywood owner also revealed the secret to their nearly six-decade romance. "When people ask me why it's lasted this long, I say, 'Because I stay gone.' And there's a lot of truth in that — the fact that we're not in each other's faces all the time," she said. "But we do have a great respect and admiration for each other. We both have a great sense of humor. So, we have a lot of fun." |
Wendy Williams Delays Talk Show Return Another Month Amid Health Concerns Posted: 03 Nov 2021 12:11 PM PDT How she doin'? Through the years, Wendy Williams has made headlines for much more than just her brutally honest opinions and on-air spats with her A-list interviewees. The talk show host, who was once dubbed "New York's Shock Jockette" during her radio days, has found herself face-to-face with numerous health and personal struggles. She was addicted to cocaine for a decade in the beginning of her career, and more recently has battled Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism and other physical ailments. Williams' marriage has also been a hot topic (no pun intended). For years, she has weathered allegations that her now-ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, was living a double life and had been unfaithful to her. After the TV producer welcomed a baby with another woman in March 2019, Williams finally pulled the plug on their 21-year marriage. The former couple finalized their divorce in January 2020. The following year, Williams opened up about where she stood with Hunter, telling Extra, “He calls from time to time. … I don’t block his number though, he’s my son [Kevin Jr.’s] father.” The pair’s ups and downs were explored in Williams’ Lifetime biopic, Wendy Williams: The Movie, which aired in January 2021. A documentary titled Wendy Williams: What a Mess accompanied the movie. While speaking with the Los Angeles Times about the two films, the Masked Singer alum referred to them as a “breakup project.” She explained in January 2021, “I’m 56 years old. My breakup project is not destroying my ex-husband. I don’t regret meeting him. We fell in love almost instantly. We’ve been through a lot. … I have no regrets about marrying him, and I have no regrets about divorcing him.” The New Jersey native asserted at the time that she had “outgrown” the relationship regardless of reported scandals. “That's the best way I can describe it,” she said. “And I’ve accepted my growth as opposed to fighting it.” Williams didn’t want either movie to hold back about her past — even the most troubling parts. Viewers learned that she is the survivor of sexual assault and got a more in-depth look at her struggles with substance abuse. The Dancing With the Stars alum also recalled receiving “endless calls” with supportive messages about her prior miscarriages, which she experienced before welcoming her son in 2000. “You’d be surprised how many women opened up and said, ‘Oh, my gosh, Wendy, that happened to me,'” she told the newspaper. “I would get stopped in the streets. … It really became very soothing for me to feel like my loss was able to help other people not feel embarrassed, not feel ugly or less than a woman.” Take a look back with Us Weekly at some of the Ask Wendy author's personal woes. ![]() In September 2017, the Daily Mail published photos of Hunter hanging out with a woman named Sharina Hudson in New Jersey. The U.K. newspaper claimed that he had purchased a home for the massage therapist just nine miles down the road from the house he shared with Williams. The report further alleged that Hunter and Hudson had been romantically involved for more than 10 years. The next morning, Williams said on The Wendy Williams Show that she will “stand by my guy” and assured viewers not to “believe the hype.” Johnny Nunez/WireImage ![]() The Emmy nominee fainted on air in October 2017 while wearing a Statue of Liberty costume for Halloween. Producers rushed to her rescue when she collapsed to the floor as the broadcast cut to a commercial break. The host returned minutes later, explaining that she simply “overheated in my costume.” ![]() Williams was forced to cancel three episodes of her syndicated show during the week of Valentine’s Day in February 2018 after experiencing flu-like symptoms. Manny Hernandez/Getty Images ![]() The former radio host took three weeks off from The Wendy Williams Show from late February to mid-March 2018 due to issues with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. “Wendy’s doctor prescribed a necessary three weeks of rest to get her levels and medication in sync,” a rep for the show told Us. Paras Griffin/Getty Images ![]() To celebrate her “Be Here” national campaign with The Hunter Foundation, Williams reflected upon her decade-long battle with cocaine addiction during a July 2018 interview. “I was a functioning addict,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “They wouldn’t fire me because I was making ratings. … It’s a miracle I was able to stop.” Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images for Wilhelmina Models ![]() The fashion designer suffered a “hair fracture on my right shoulder” in mid-December 2018, but she soldiered on. She hid her sling under her clothes on air while announcing to viewers, “I don’t need an operation, and I’m not wearing a hard cast. … The show will go on!” ![]() Viewers expressed concern on social media after Williams slurred her words during a December 2018 episode of her show. She acknowledged her behavior was “less than stellar” and explained that she usually tries to avoid taking pain medication. “I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200 percent,” she insisted. Her health complications proved to be too much to handle though, and she repeatedly delayed her return to the show to focus on her well-being. “The struggle of being the main centerpiece of the show, day in and out, while fighting Graves’ disease has been a real battle,” a source told Us before Williams’ March 2019 return. Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images for Vulture Festival ![]() As some skeptics continued to question the status of Williams and Hunter’s marriage, she addressed the speculation head-on. “I want to shout out my husband. I am still wearing my ring,” she said on TV in March 2019. “When you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 … we know each other. He is my best friend, my lover. … I know what you’ve been saying and I know what the streets have been talking about. … I’m still very much in love with my husband.” Lev Radin/Pacific Press/LightRocket via Getty Images ![]() The TV personality revealed in March 2019 that she has been staying at a sober living house and has a 24-hour coach. “When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates. I told you — two hours a day or [so], to take care of my body,” she told viewers. “I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.” Gary Gershoff/WireImage ![]() Hunter made headlines in March 2019 after Page Six reported that Hudson gave birth to his child at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. In consultation with her doctor and as a precautionary measure, she will be taking some time off as she continues to receive treatment,” a spokesperson from The Wendy Williams Show said in a statement to Us. Gregory Pace/Shutterstock ![]() In September 2021, the host was forced to delay the start of the 13th season of her show not once, but twice. After testing positive for COVID-19, The Wendy Williams Show announced in a statement at the time that the premiere date would be moved from September 19, 2021, to October 4, 2021, to “allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover.” The announcement came after reports that Williams would be unable to take part in promotion of the season due to “ongoing health issues.” At the end of the month, the show announced via Instagram that the premiere date would again be pushed back to October 18, 2021, explaining that Williams “continues to be under a doctor's care and is still not ready to return to work.” The statement continued that her breakthrough case of coronavirus was “no longer an issue,” but she was still dealing with lingering unspecified health issues. Joe Amabile on the Best Thing About 'Normal' Relationship With Serena Pitt Posted: 03 Nov 2021 11:51 AM PDT Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt may not be rushing down the aisle, but the Bachelor in Paradise season 7 couple are solid, according to the former grocer. "[Things] get better and better every day," Amabile, 35, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting his partnership with Hotwire. "[The best part] I think is just being in a caring, loving relationship and in a normal one, you know? Being able to go out and go to a restaurant." The Chicago native proposed to Pitt, 24, during the October finale of the reality show. He told Us that they want to "tackle" deciding where they'll live before they start planning their nuptials. "We’re more or less trying to figure out where we’re going to live, we’re excited about that," Amabile said. "We're still in talks about that, but we’re on the same page. It’s between the three cities, Chicago, Toronto or New York." The duo are set to visit NYC for the first time as a couple in the upcoming weeks. "We've been there separately, so now we’re going to really see if we like it together," he told Us. "We're going to be with each other for the holidays. We still haven’t quite figured out how we’re going to do it, but we will be with each other." Amabile and Pitt were one of three couples that got engaged in Mexico during the summer. While fans of the ABC franchise are often speculating about the status of Bachelor Nation couples, he told Us he doesn't feel any added pressure. "I don’t really let it affect me or my relationship," the season 14 Bachelorette alum said. "Right now, to be completely honest, it’s been really nothing but love. We have a great support system with our friends and family and honestly, Bachelor Nation and all the people out there have really just been great to say the least." After finding success on BiP, Amabile has teamed up with Hotwire for their Love at Last Minute contest. "We are looking for couples that met during quarantine and haven’t had a chance to take a trip together. There’s a poll, like, 74 percent of Americans said traveling is the best compatibility test and I actually believe that myself," he told Us. "So I have picked the cities — Charleston, Atlanta, and my hometown, Chicago — and we are choosing three couples that we think could potentially go the distance to win these trips. All they have to do is go to quickie.hotwire.com and send them a video showing off themselves basically. … And after that trip, we’re going to reevaluate and if we think one of the couples or all three of them could go the distance, they will win a $10,000 fancy trip on Hotwire." Couples can enter Hotwire's contest until Friday, November 5. |
Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s Divorce, Legal Woes: Everything We Know Posted: 03 Nov 2021 11:45 AM PDT Pat the … divorce papers. After Erika Jayne went to court to end her marriage to Tom Girardi, Bravo fans were shocked to learn that what seemed like one of the strongest couples in Real Housewives history was not so picture-perfect after all. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced in November 2020 that she and the powerhouse attorney had called it quits after 21 years of marriage. A source later told Us Weekly exclusively, "Erika and Tom had an unconventional marriage, spending a lot of time apart." Erika, who shares adult son Tommy with ex-husband Thomas Zizzo, met Tom in the late 1990s while waitressing at one of his favorite West Hollywood hot spots, Chasen's. One year later, she decided to give him her phone number, and he subsequently reached out to her through his secretary. "I told her, 'Tell Mr. Girardi if he wants to take me out on a date, he needs to call me himself and ask me and give me enough time to prepare,'" the Bravo personality recalled in her 2018 memoir, Pretty Mess. "You know how men are, especially if they are successful. They expect you to drop everything right away. That's not how I work, I don't care who you are." Six months into their relationship, Erika and the lawyer got engaged. They married in January 1999. "For the first 10 years of our marriage, I was by Tom's side," the "XXPEN$IVE" singer said in a February 2017 episode of RHOBH. "I was even the first lady of a couple legal organizations. Imagine that!" Due to Tom's high-power job, he has only made a few appearances on the reality series since Erika joined the cast in 2015. It is likely that their divorce will play out during season 11, which began filming in early October 2020. "People are always like, 'Oh, you guys don't see each other a lot.' But when we do see each other, it's 100 percent, full-on attention," the former Chicago star said in the February 2017 episode. "This is what people don't understand. It's not a detriment to the relationship. It's actually helpful. It's better than someone being in your face all the time and you're not even present." Scroll down for everything we know so far about the Girardis' divorce. This is an ongoing article that was originally published in November 2020 and last updated on Wednesday, November 3. ![]() The Atlanta native confirmed in a statement to Us in November 2020 that she “decided to end” her marriage to Tom “after much consideration.” She added, “This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together. It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserve. I request others give us that privacy as well.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() A source exclusively told Us in November 2020 that it was not uncommon for the now-estranged couple to go “several months” without seeing each other. “They would travel separately. Tom gave Erika a very lavish lifestyle, and she enjoyed it,” the insider said. “Erika has gained independence and confidence from being on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The exposure it has given for her singing career has given Erika a much larger fan base.” Bravo ![]() Erika told Andy Cohen in June 2017 that she and Tom never signed a prenuptial agreement. “I’m married to a very powerful lawyer. A prenup wouldn’t stand in his way anyway,” she said at the time. “So it doesn’t matter whether you had one or you didn’t, it’s gonna be all Tom’s way, I assure you.” Bravo ![]() Erika and Tom were hit with a lawsuit in December 2020 that accused them of embezzling settlement funds intended to help the families of Lion Air Flight 610 victims. In federal court documents obtained by Us, the class action firm Edelson PC claimed that the estranged couple’s divorce is “a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika’s money” and that they “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds.” Erika and Tom did not immediately comment on the allegations. Damian Dovarganes/AP/Shutterstock; Michael Simon/startraksphoto.com ![]() According to the Los Angeles Times, Erika was called to testify in the fraud case in May 2020 and September 2020 — before she filed for divorce that November. Jen Lowery/MEGA ![]() Erika requested spousal support from Tom in November 2020, according to court documents obtained by Us, in which she citied “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Charles Sykes/Invision/AP/Shutterstock; Damian Dovarganes/AP/Shutterstock ![]() In November 25, 2020, court documents obtained by Us, Tom requested to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Erika. He also asked her to pay his legal fees. Shutterstock (2) ![]() Tom told the court in September 2020 that he has “maybe a couple thousand” dollars in a personal bank account, adding that his stock portfolio of millions was “all gone.” He said: “At one point I had about $80 million or $50 million in cash. That’s all gone. I don’t have any money.” He added that he hasn’t “taken a penny in salary out of the firm for more than two years.” Shutterstock; Bravo ![]() In December 2020, a judge in Chicago seized Tom's assets after allegations that the estranged couple withheld $2 million in client funds following the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 crash. Tom did not attend the contempt hearing at the time, but instead called into the proceedings. Bravo ![]() According to court documents obtained by Us, Tom was secretly hospitalized for a “serious illness” in 2020. An attorney at his firm brought up the illness during a December court date, telling the judge that Tom was “unavailable in recent weeks due to a serious illness that caused him to be hospitalized for which he sought treatment.” The paperwork stated Tom “couched everything” related to the fraud case in July 2020 because he was forced to be away from his firm amid his hospitalization. He also cited his illness as the cause of the “mistake” of not getting some of the families paid in full. The Los Angeles Times also reported that one of Tom’s attorneys believed he should be subject to a mental examination. "I'm unsure that he understands either the nature or the gravity of the current situation," the lawyer told the judge, noting the team is concerned about his mental competency. In January 2021, his brother Robert Girardi claimed Tom was suffering from short-term memory loss and requested he become his conservator as Tom is “not capable of making rational decisions” when it comes to his finances. Edelson suggested that there is more to the story with Tom’s sickness. “I’m not a doctor, I don’t know. But what I can tell you is that it seemed very convenient,” Edelson told Kate Casey in June 2021. “When we put out the facts that we found through our investigation of the types of things he was trying to do, during the time he had Alzheimer’s, where he was really scheming, he was scheming to protect himself from the fraud. He was scheming to try to keep as many possessions as possible, he was scheming to try to sell cases that he had in the pipeline to other firms.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() The bank is also suing Tom and his Girardi Keese firm, alleging he didn’t make monthly payments for rent, taxes, fees and more on their office. According to the paperwork obtained by Us, the group owes Wells Fargo $882,000. Wells Fargo is also seeking interest at 10 percent per annum from the date of default and wants to seize Girardi Keese’s Los Angeles and San Bernardino, California, properties. Shutterstock (2) ![]() Sources told Us in December that Erika believes Tom cheated on her during their 21-year marriage. “Erika is really going through it. She’s very strong, but this has been very hard for her emotionally,” an insider told Us. A second source claimed that rumors that Erika and Tom “had an agreement in terms of being with other people” weren’t true. Tom has yet to comment on the infidelity accusations. Matt Baron/Shutterstock; YouTube ![]() A source told Us that Erika never thought Tom “could be capable of doing what he has been accused of in court.” “Erika was completely unaware of the very serious allegations that were being made against Tom in court,” the source told Us, referring to the fraud accusations. “Tom always handled all of the finances and that was how they handled things. Erika feels betrayed by Tom because she completely trusted him. She is just reeling from all of this, but make no mistake. Erika is a tough cookie and she isn’t stupid. She will get through this.” According to a second source, Erika is still in "disbelief" about the alleged cheating and legal drama: “The legal issues are unfolding one after another and she’s learning as everyone’s filing. As the whole world is finding out about it, she’s finding out about it. She’s reading about it in the press before she even sees it [from her lawyers].” While she has seemingly maintained her innocence in all RHOBH footage, Jay Edelson, the lawyer who filed the class action lawsuit against the pair, claimed she was aware of the scheme. “We believe we’re going to be able to prove that Erika was incredibly involved in not just the law firm, but also, he was loaning money to her company 10s of millions of dollars to her company,” Edelson said on the “Reality Life with Kate Casey” podcast in June 2021. “And we think that money came from client funds. And we’re going to look into all of that. And that’s all going to be, you know, part of proof that we showed to a jury — that she was knee-deep in this fraud, and she can say, ‘Oh, she didn’t know anything about it.’ And I think that’s going be hard for to convince a jury of.” Shutterstock ![]() "This is Justice Tricia A. Bigelow. She was f--king my husband Tom Girardi and he was paying her Saks bill and paying for her plastic surgery," Erika captioned an Instagram post on December 18, sharing screenshots of texts. Shutterstock ![]() The judge’s lawyer released a statement to the L.A. Times, saying, Erika’s “actions in maliciously doxxing the Justice were nothing short of criminal.” The attorney added: “We are considering our options to protect Justice Bigelow from further harassment.” Bravo ![]() According to court documents obtained by Us in January 2021, Erika moved out of her $15 million mansion with Tom and into a three-bedroom house in Los Angeles. The new home is estimated to be worth $2,408,937 or $9,500 a month in rent, per Zillow. Sara De Boer/startraksphoto.com ![]() Tom appeared virtually in court on June 9, 2021, and told the judge he “disagree[d]” with the conservatorship. “I think that we should put together the reasons why the conservatorship should be dissolved, and then we’ll address it, address the court,” he said. “Right now, I have nothing to say to the court.” The judge subsequently ruled that Robert should still be named Tom’s conservator. Sara De Boer/startraksphoto.com; Damian Dovarganes/AP/Shutterstock ![]() Us confirmed on June 15, 2021, that Erika’s bankruptcy attorney filed a petition to withdraw his representation of the RHOBH star. Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock ![]() Hulu’s The Housewife and the Hustler, which started streaming on June 14, 2021, aired the “never-before-aired deposition tape of Girardi” and featured RHOBH alum Dana Wilkey, Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Danielle Staub and L.A. legal professionals Chris Darden, Brian Kabateck and Neil Wertlieb. In the doc, several of Tom’s alleged victims told their stories, including Joe Ruigomez, who said the former attorney “basically robbed” him from his settlement money after he was severely burned and scarred in 2010’s San Bruno gas pipeline explosion. The Ruigomez family and Josie Hernandez, who hasn’t received a $135,000 settlement owed to her by Girardi Keese, played voicemails from Tom promising to get their money to them as soon as he could. ABC News ![]() Erika briefly addressed the divorce for the first time on the June 16, 2021, episode of RHOBH. "There's so many layers to this divorce. It's so f—king complicated. It's very difficult to explain,” she told the cameras. During a promo for the July 14, 2021, episode Erika spoke about the class action lawsuit for the first time. “What’s being said is just, I mean, it’s insane,” she said. “That lawsuit that says my divorce is a sham so I could hide assets — people want to believe that. … I could have never predicted this f—king s—t.” Shutterstock (2) ![]() She went even more into detail about the separation during the June 23, 2021, episode, telling the cast, "I let go of my Lamborghini. I let go of my 16,000 square foot home. I let go of my marriage. I let go of everything. I literally made a decision that I had to." She also told the cameras that she "left because he pushed me further and further out" and she knew the "marriage was headed down a really sh--ty path." Shutterstock (2) ![]() Erika told the women during the June 23, 2021, episode that she "didn't leave a note" and just disappeared, leaving him to get served. “I drove him to work, I told him I loved him and he said, ‘Thanks, hun.’ Like I was an employee," she explained of the last time she'd seen Tom. "I went home and started putting everything in the moving van. I drove off, went to my new place, spent the night there and he was served the next morning.” Kcr/Shutterstock ![]() Erika's legal team requested that the judge in her case reconsider appointing Ronald Richards as the bankruptcy trustee lawyer after he made comments about her on social media. Court documents from June 2021 claimed that the attorney "has made false and inflammatory social media posts and public statements" about the RHOBH star. Her lawyers also questioned whether Richards' posts "violate the ethical rules to which he is bound." Richards, for his part, said in a statement to Us that he was "hopeful that Erika’s new attorneys will cooperate with our investigation and we can move forward in a positive direction and complete our work." He added: "The court made no restrictions or gag orders in this case. If those rules change, our speech will change. The case is interesting for the public and I have enjoyed communicating with people all over the world about numerous legal issues. I look forward to working positively with her new attorney." As Richards and Erika continued to fight via social media, she told him he was “finally” on the right track after “a year of looking in the wrong direction” in October 2021 when he posted, “What does [every] attorney who worked at Girardi Keese as either an Associate, quasi Partner, or Manager have in common? Answer: Not one of them has taken responsibility for the clients they were obligated to protect and serve or gifted back any of their bonuses or salaries.” Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/MEGA ![]() After Erika's original lawyers filed a petition to be removed from her case — then filed a second motion to stay on the case — the RHOBH star hired a new attorney to represent her. Us confirmed in October 2021 that Tom and Erika’s La Quinta property sold for $1.25 million. The profits will be used “to pay any unpaid property taxes, valid liens, homeowner’s association fees, real estate brokers’ commissions (5 percent) and related sale costs directly from escrow on the Property,” per court docs. Shawn Bishop ![]() In August 2021, the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case for Girardi Keese sued Erika for $25 million. According to court documents obtained by Us, the trustee accused the reality star of knowing that the firm paid her expenses for at least 12 years. The trustee requested that the court order here to pay back the $25 million she allegedly spent plus interest. The suit also argued that she should be personally held responsible for the funds even though the money allegedly went to her company, EJ Global LLC. “She attempts to create a distinction between handling her money directly versus paying all of her bills directly,” the documents read. “The distinction, like her prior motion for reconsideration, is meritless. Any payments made for her benefit are her responsibility.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() In September 2021, investigator Richards told Us that if Erika "voluntarily" paid back the $25 million within 10 days, the lawsuit would not proceed. “If she was interested in helping the victims, she would simply pay back some of the expenses that were improperly advanced by the law firm and improperly deducted by Erika on her LLC and personal returns," Richards said in a statement. "This would add 10 percent to her voluntarily compliance payment. It is not about the fees, it is about the victims.” The following month, Erika’s lawyer denied Richards' claims that his client is “liable” for the $25 million. “I can’t say enough that based on the evidence and law, Erika does not have liability for any of the claims against her,” he said in a statement. “All the claims against Erika amount to efforts to blame her for the actions of others, including Girardi Keese and Tom Girardi.” Jaxon/MEGA ![]() According to Richards, Erika’s case has a status conference on November 16, 2021. While she won’t appear personally, her attorney is expected to. Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() Lawyer Jay Edelson claimed in October 2021 that season 11 provided “a lot of evidence” for the case against Erika and Tom. Richards said in a statement to Us at the time: “All public statements Erika makes are admissible in court. Some will hold weight if she tries to change them later or does something different than what she answers [at the RHOBH reunion].” Bravo has also been subpoenaed to hand over unaired footage of Erika. Nicole Weingart/Bravo ![]() Us confirmed on October 20, 2021, that Erika’s lawyer filed a new document in the bankruptcy case one day prior. “Ms. Girardi is an entertainer, never served as a lawyer at GK, and had no role in the management of the firm,” the docs read, claiming Erika “was a complete stranger to and has no knowledge of whatever transpired at GK related to the Lion Air litigation filed in November 2018, or the settlement funds that apparently were received by GK after the District Court in Illinois approved certain settlements in that litigation in the first half of 2020.” The documents also state that Erika’s “only assets are her personal possessions and income she receives from her work as an entertainer, including from the Real Housewives television program,” after she left Tom on November 3, 2020. “Ms. Girardi has no access or visibility into the bank accounts of GK, including client trust accounts, into which Edelson alleges the settlement funds in the Lion Air case were paid. If anyone has access to these accounts, it is the GK Trustee,” the paperwork read. “The GK Trustee has never contended that Ms. Girardi directly or indirectly received any of the Lion Air settlement funds; and the Trustee is the party in the best position to make that contention if it has any merit.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock ![]() In a November 2021 court filing, Erika's lawyer asserted that his client "never had and does not have any of the fee agreements between [the Girardi Keese firm] and the Lion Air clients." He went on to claim that Edelson's case "is based on an unethical, unenforceable and illegal fee sharing agreement between Edelson and Girardi Keese, which will require that the Illinois litigation be dismissed" if copies of the documents can't be provided to the court. Too Cute! Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 03 Nov 2021 11:39 AM PDT Making memories! Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have enjoyed documenting their growing romance through cute photos on social media. The pair first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted holding hands in November 2020, less than one year after her split from longtime love Austin Butler. At the time, Hudgens got honest about what she was looking for when it came to a partner. "Your girl's open. I feel like at the end of the day, it's just about having similar fundamentals and wanting the same things," the Powerless alum told Entertainment Tonight. "I am not picky, really." Hudgens added: "I know what I want and I'm like, if someone comes into the picture and can give me all those things, then great. It doesn't matter if they're in the public eye or not. If anything, I prefer them not to be, but we'll see." The couple went Instagram official in honor of Valentine’s Day the following year. The same month, Tucker discussed his commitment to the High School Musical star during an MLB spring training interview. "I got a girlfriend and she's cool. She's awesome, I love her," he told reporters in February 2021. "But I don't want it to be, 'Oh, Cole's dating Vanessa … ' I don't want it to be treated any differently than Mitch [Keller] having his wife down, or Ke'Bryan [Hayes] having his girlfriend come down. She's great. She'll be around. You will see her, but you saw the headline, it is what it is." As their relationship continued to get more serious, Hudgens revealed how the duo first formed a connection. “Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes,” the Princess Switch star told Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. “Zoom, you’ve got to love it.” Hudgens believed her romance with the shortstop was something special, adding, “He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.” One month later, Hudgens elaborated on how she made the first move when she originally met the pro athlete. "If I want something or someone, I'm going after them," she said during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move." Hudgens previously dated Zac Efron from 2006 to 2010. The Gigi performer later moved on with Butler in 2011, and nine years later, Us Weekly confirmed the duo had called it quits. What the Kardashians Have Said About O.J. Simpson Over the Years Posted: 03 Nov 2021 11:28 AM PDT It’s hard to remember after 20 seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but at one point, the late Robert Kardashian was the only famous member of the family — and it was because of his friendship with O.J. Simpson. After the former NFL player was arrested in connection to the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, in 1994, he enlisted Kardashian to become part of his legal team. Though O.J. was eventually acquitted of all charges in his criminal trial, the University of Southern California alum later expressed doubt that his friend was truly innocent, telling Barbara Walters in 1996 that he had “doubts” about his former client’s exoneration. Kardashian died of esophageal cancer in September 2003, but his involvement with the trial has followed the rest of his family ever since. The late attorney married Kris Jenner in 1978 and the former couple went on to welcome daughters Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian, along with son Rob Kardashian. Jenner divorced her first husband in 1991. Despite their split, the producer remained close with Robert and their mutual friends the Simpsons. After Nicole’s murder, however, Jenner made it clear that she was not happy with her ex-husband’s involvement in the case. “The only thing I discuss with [Robert] is the children, we just keep it about the kids,” the momager told Good Morning America in September 1995. “Because I think what would happen is our opinions are so obviously black and white, that what is that going to do?” Speaking about the situation during a 2009 appearance on Dr. Phil, the reality star said that the trial and its aftermath were “devastating” for her family. “You have Robert Kardashian on the defense team defending [O.J.’s] team, and you have me, my girlfriend’s dead,” she explained. “It was a very difficult situation and what we needed to do was band together as a family and decide that this isn’t going to tear us apart.” Kim, who was 13 at the time of O.J.’s arrest, recalled that she and her sisters felt torn between their parents, who were obviously in disagreement over the trial. “Kourtney and I would go to the trial with my dad, and we’d sit on one side, and I remember looking over and my mom was on the other side sitting next to Nicole’s parents, and there was so much tension,” she said during an April 2009 episode of E! True Hollywood Story. “If we’re siding with this one, my mom and [Caitlyn Jenner] were upset, and if we’re over here, then my dad’s upset.” Keep scrolling for more quotes from the family about their relationship to O.J.: ![]() "Right before the trial started, Robert sat down and wrote us a handwritten letter and just said, 'Look, I know you don't agree with what is going down here, but this is what I have to do for my friend,'" Kris recalled during a 2009 interview with Dr. Phil McGraw. "He believed in what he was doing and he was asking us for his support." Shutterstock (2) ![]() Caitlyn, who married Kris in 1991 after her divorce from her Robert, also felt the effects of the tension on the family. "I remember the day the verdict came through and [Kourtney, Kim and Khloé] came in and they said, 'I told you he didn't do it,'" the Olympian recalled in 2009 during an appearance on Dr. Phil. "We sat down and I said, 'Look, just because he got a not guilty verdict doesn't mean he didn't do it, and I just don't want to hear his name anymore.' And I had a lot of conversations with Robert to try to make sure it didn't tear the family apart." Richard Drew/AP/Shutterstock ![]() Khloé was only 9 years old when O.J. was arrested and later admitted that she didn't fully understand what was happening. "O.J. was always our Uncle O.J., Nicole was my Auntie Nicole," she told E! True Hollywood Story in 2009. "You don't really know what to believe or how to perceive it. ... It's sad to see your parents go through so much pain for trying to be true friends." Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() Kris, for her part, always remained on the side of her friend Nicole, who had shared details of her turbulent relationship with O.J. "Nicole had been beaten up by O.J. and she had been keeping this physical proof in the form of photographs and, it would turn out, other evidence, in which she had documented 17 years of abuse," Kris wrote in her 2011 memoir, Kris Jenner ... and All Things Kardashian. "Nicole really wanted someone close to her to know what was going on, so that somebody — namely me — could be a witness." Bei/Shutterstock ![]() Though Kim was torn between her parents' views on the trial, she later said she sided with her father because she trusted him so much. "I definitely took my dad's side," she told Rolling Stone in July 2015. "We just always thought my dad was the smartest person in the world, and he really believed in his friend." Broadimage/Shutterstock; Beretta/Sims/Shutterstock ![]() According to Khloé, Robert did his best to keep his younger children out of the spotlight while the trial was happening. "Kourtney and Kim would go to court with my dad all the time. They were much more involved," she told Access Hollywood in January 2016. "We were kids. I think I was 8 or something, so we're all sheltered from that. For us, we're just playing and hanging out. So, I don't remember it as vividly as Kourtney and Kim do." Courtesy of Khloé Kardashian/Instagram ![]() Recalling a time when she ran into O.J. around 2007, Kim told Jonathan Cheban that she, Kourtney and Khloé had an "emotional" reunion with their parents' former friend. "We all, I think, all started crying," she recalled in September 2019. Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock ![]() "My mom was extremely vocal on her feelings — she believed that her friend was murdered by him and that was really traumatizing for her," Kim told David Letterman in October 2020, adding that the situation "tore my family apart" at the time. "And then we'd go to my dad's house and it was a whole other situation there." In the same interview, she said she never commented on the case because she still cared for O.J. and Nicole's kids, Sydney and Justin. “I just respect his children, so if I were to say something that would hurt someone’s feelings publicly — unless they’re coming for me and I have to defend myself or a family member — then I’m aware,” she explained. Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() Kim has never publicly stated whether she believes O.J. committed a crime, but during her October 2021 hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, she came under fire for a joke about the former athlete in her monologue. "It’s because of [my father] that I met my first Black person. Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?” she quipped during the episode. “I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark or several, or none at all. I still don’t know.” After the show, Nicole's sister, Tanya Brown, told TMZ she thought the joke was in "poor taste." Rosalind O'Connor/NBC ![]() In November 2021, Caitlyn claimed that Nicole once told Kris she was afraid O.J. would murder her. “It was an extraordinarily difficult time,” the I Am Cait alum author said during an episode of Big Brother VIP. “Nicole was Kris’s best friend, had been for a long time. I was at Nicole’s house two days before the murder. ... Obviously, he did it and he got away with it, and at one point he even told Nicole, ‘I’ll kill you and get away with it because I’m O.J. Simpson.' Then, Nicole relayed that onto Kris at one point and unfortunately, she was right.” Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock |
