The Queen Gives a Virtual Speech After Hospitalization

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 05:45 PM PDT

Staying strong. Queen Elizabeth II‘s health has been the subject of much speculation after she completed a short hospital stay in October, but the 95-year-old royal isn’t ready to slow down too much.

The monarch first sparked concern after she walked with a cane during an October 12 appearance at Westminster Abbey in London for a Service of Thanksgiving. When the queen arrived at the church, her daughter, Princess Anne, handed her the accessory.

Earlier in the month, Elizabeth walked on her own during a visit to Scotland with her eldest son, Prince Charles. The royal matriarch is also the mother of Prince Andrew and Prince Edward with her late husband, Prince Philip, who died at age 99 in April.

Three weeks after her Scottish appearance, the monarch canceled a trip to Northern Ireland after her medical team recommended that she take it easy.

"The Queen has reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days," Buckingham Palace said in an October 20 statement, adding that she was "in good spirits" and "disappointed" to miss the planned events.

One day later, a spokesperson for the palace revealed that Elizabeth spent the night in the hospital after canceling her Northern Ireland plans. "Following medical advice to rest for a few days, The Queen attended hospital on [October 20] for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits," Buckingham Palace said in a statement on October 21.

The queen seemed to recuperate within a few days, returning to work on October 26 to receive ambassadors from Korea and Switzerland via video link. Later that day, however, Buckingham Palace confirmed that she would not attend an upcoming event in Scotland.

"Her Majesty is disappointed not to attend the reception but will deliver an address to the assembled delegates via a recorded video message," the palace said in a statement. The monarch was set to appear at a reception on November 1 with other world leaders, including President Joe Biden and U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Earlier in October, news broke that the queen previously declined an award called Oldie of the Year presented by The Oldie magazine.

"Her Majesty believes you are as old as you feel," Tom Laing-Baker, the royal’s assistant private secretary, wrote in a letter that The Oldie shared via social media on October 19. “As such the Queen does not believe she meets the relevant criteria to be able to accept and hopes you find a more worthy recipient."

Doctors Advise Rest
Following her virtual meeting on October 28, the queen was advised by her doctors to rest for “at least” two weeks, according to Buckingham Palace. “Her Majesty can continue to undertake light, desk-based duties during this time, including some virtual Audiences, but not to undertake any official visits," the October 29 statement continued.  She will be unable to attend the Festival of Remembrance on November 13 — but intends to be present for the National Service of Remembrance the following day. In Good Form
“I spoke to her majesty and she’s on very good form,” Boris Johnson, the U.K.’s Prime Minister, told Channel 4 News on October 30 of the monarch’s health condition. “She’s just got to follow the advice of her doctors and get some rest and I think that’s the important thing. I think the whole country wishes her well.” Alastair Grant/AP/Shutterstock

Baby fever! While Kourtney Kardashian reminisced about her iconic couples Halloween costume with Travis Barker, her fiancé used that as an opportunity to suggest an even bigger milestone — having children together.

After Kardashian, 42, posted more photos of herself as Alabama (played by Patricia Arquette) from True Romance on Monday, November 1, Barker, 45, replied to the Instagram post, writing, "Our son's name would be Elvis."

Although the musician was referencing a scene in the Quentin Tarantino film where an apparition of Elvis Presley visits Clarence (played by Christian Slater), some fans speculated that it might be a hint about the couple’s plans for the future.

Last month, the reality star and the drummer got engaged during a visit to the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. Less than one year since the pair originally went public with their relationship, a source told Us Weekly that they were both “on cloud nine.”

"The Kardashians, Jenners and Travis' family are so happy for the two of them," an insider shared with Us in October. Following the exciting news, another source noted that the twosome were thinking about adding to their family.

"They will have a baby together without any doubt. It's just a matter of when and how," the insider added to Us.

Kardashian already shares Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. Barker, for his part, shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 15, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

Earlier this year, Moakler, 46, revealed that she was confused when it came to her ex-husband seemingly recreating their marriage, which ended when their divorce was finalized in 2008, with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum.

"What was weird is that they were posting about a movie [True Romance] that Travis and I basically bonded over. I called him Clarence in the movie. We named our daughter after the character Alabama in the movie," the former Miss New York USA told Us in May. "I walked down the aisle to 'You're So Cool' from True Romance. Our first dance at our wedding was to the love song from True Romance."

After the Poosh founder and the Blink-182 member channeled Alabama and Clarence for Halloween, social media users pointed out to the Rhode Island native that her past relationship was mirrored by Barker and Kardashian again.

In a tearful five-part message, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 57, asked fans to keep an eye out for the 5-year-old golden retriever who went missing in the early hours of Sunday, October 31. "So it is past 4 o'clock in the morning, and Archie somehow, some way is missing," she said via her Insta Story.

The Real for Real founder continued, "I don't know what happened, but I'm yelling his name every two seconds for the last five hours, so if anyone … has seen my dog, we're devastated."

Beador expressed her concern that something may have happened to her pet after finding the stuffed cow toy Archie often played with lying outside her California home.

"He carried it in his mouth all night tonight, so why is it out here on the sidewalk?" Beador asked through her tears. "Did somebody take him? I don't know what's going on."

The reality star also threatened anyone who may have stolen her furry friend.

Beador adopted Archie in 2016 after a RHOC viewer posted a photo of the 10-month-old puppy and asked if she knew anyone who was looking for a pet. Over the years, the TV personality has admitted that she spoils the mutt like he is her fourth child.

"He's been raised fancy," she joked in a 2017 video for Bravo, in which she revealed that Archie had spent his early years living in a suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco.

"He's downgrading living at the Beadors," she continued. "He's so much fun and so protective. He has his little sweet quirks and, ah, we're all in love."

The news of Beador's lost dog comes days after the entrepreneur defended her daughters Sophie, 19, and 17-year-old twins, Stella and Adeline, whom she shares with her ex-husband, David Beador, against rumors that they had had plastic surgery.

After Shannon posted a photo of the girls via Instagram on Thursday, October 28, one follower commented, "They look like they've had work done."

Kelly Dodd, Rick Leventhal Slammed for His Alec Baldwin 'Rust' Costume

A controversial choice. While celebrating Halloween, Kelly Dodd and her husband, Rick Leventhal, shared their costumes — to less than enthusiastic responses.

“Kelly celebrated her Native American heritage & I celebrated the great American film actor Alec Baldwin #happyhalloween🎃,” Leventhal, 61, captioned photos of him and Dodd, 46, on Sunday, October 31. The couple were dressed as Alec Baldwin on the set of his movie Rust and a Native American.

In one pic, the Real Housewives of Orange County alum and the former Fox News correspondent showed off prop guns. One social media user responded, “Sorry but bad taste. Come on someone lost their life.” Another person pointed out that the choice of costume was insensitive because “A child lost his mother!”

Leventhal’s costume comes after Baldwin, 63, was involved in an accident involving a prop gun on the set of his film Rust in New Mexico. Late last month, the 30 Rock alum discharged bullets from a weapon that hit Halyna Hutchins and Joel Souza. The cinematographer, 42, was taken to a hospital before dying from her injuries. The director, 48, survived and has since been released.

After relocating with his family to Vermont for the time being, the Beetlejuice star addressed the incident.

"I'm not allowed to make any comments because it's an ongoing investigation," Baldwin told reporters on Saturday, October 30. "I've been ordered by the sheriff's department in Santa Fe, I can't answer any questions about the investigation. I can't — it's an active investigation in terms of a woman died. She was my friend."

The New York native opened up about the time he got to spend with the late filmmaker.

"The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel, the director," he added at the time. "We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened."

The Dr. Death alum revealed that he has been in touch with Hutchins' family, her husband and her son, after the unfortunate incident.

"The guy is overwhelmed with grief. You know, there are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time but nothing like this," the Boss Baby actor noted. "This is a one in a trillion event, and so he is in shock [and] has a 9-year-old son. We are in constant contact with him. We're very worried about his family and his kid, and we're eagerly awaiting for the sheriff's department telling us what their investigation has yielded."

That same day, his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, reflected on how her husband has been coping with the tragedy since their relocation.

“I brought [Alec] up here because we have to mourn Halyna’s death. Alec had a really traumatic thing happen, and I am trying to limit the PTSD,” Hilaria, 37, said during an interview with the New York Post on Saturday. “He needs space for me to take care of him and his mental health. It’s an awful thing that happened. Alec feels awful.”

Dodd, for her part, didn’t post the same set of photos. The reality star instead opted for several group shots from the festivities on Monday, November 1, writing. “2021 Halloween party highlights! For you haters, I embrace my Native American heritage. I think the fashion is beautiful & this was a tribute & celebration ❤.”

The Bravolebrity previously explained during the season 16 reunion of RHOC that she considered herself a woman of color.

“So we have Braunwyn [Windham-Burke] who is blond haired, blue eyes, as white as can be,” Dodd told E! News after the episode aired in January. “She’s always saying that I’m a racist or a homophobe and it really irritates me. So I did a 23andMe and I don’t identify myself as a Black person, that was not my point. My point was I’m Black, Asian, Mexican, Spanish, I’m 30 percent Native American and I’m one percent Jewish. And I’m all races.”

Pete Davidson’s Ups and Downs With Kanye West, Kardashian-Jenner Family

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 03:22 PM PDT

Pete Davidson spending Halloween with Kim Kardashian might have rocked the internet, but it turns out the comedian has a history (good and bad) with the reality star and her famous family.

Two years before Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West, the Grammy winner made waves backstage at Saturday Night Live, wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat during the closing credits after he hosted an episode of the sketch comedy series in September 2018. Following his appearance on the season 44 premiere, audio of West ranting about politics and raving about then-President Donald Trump surfaced. Davidson subsequently called out the musician.

"What Kanye said after we went off the air last week was one of the worst, most awkward things I've seen here, and I've seen Chevy Chase speak to an intern," Davidson said on the "Weekend Update" segment. "Kanye is a genius, but a musical genius. Like Joey Chestnut is a hot dog-eating genius, but I don't want to hear Joey Chestnut's opinions about things that aren't hot dog-related. … Kanye, I know you’re like, 'This is the real me, I’m off the meds.’ Take ’em. There’s no shame in the medicine game. I’m on them. It’s great."

Things between Davidson and West, who have both been candid about their mental health ups and downs, were fine by January 2019 when they both attended Kid Cudi's birthday party alongside Kim and Timothée Chalamet.

“I got there a little early so I could give them my card. I thought it was just, like, us three," the Set It Up star told Jimmy Fallon about the Nobu outing. "Kanye goes, 'Let's get the special room in the back,' and I was like, 'Oh no."

After West ordered "[food] that’s not even on the menu — that crazy stuff," Davidson joked he texted his agent to "book more shows."

"It's not like it’s Applebees. It’s Nobu, which is like 77 Applebees's," he concluded about picking up the expensive tab.

Fast-forward two years and Kardashian is the one hosting SNL. During her October 2021 appearance on the NBC series, she shared the stage with Davidson in several skits, including one in which she played sister Kourtney Kardashian and he channeled BFF Machine Gun Kelly. During an Aladdin-themed spoof, Kim and Davidson kissed.

"Kanye and Kim were in touch throughout the week on her outfits for the show, the skits and opening monologue," a source told Us Weekly regarding West's feelings about his estranged spouse's performance. "They are not together romantically anymore, but they are still work collaborators."

Later that month, Kim stepped out with Davidson, Kourtney, the Poosh founder's fiancé, Travis Barker, and more friends on Halloween. While they were spotted holding hands on a roller-coaster, a source told Us at the time that things were platonic between the KKW Beauty CEO and the actor.

"No one really knows what is going on with Kim and Pete," one source said in November 2021. "They are just friends right now, but things could turn romantic."

Another source noted that Kim is "surprised" by the chemistry she has with Davidson, but added, "Kim is single and having fun at the moment."

Pete Slams Kanye
After West made headlines for his pro-Trump rant backstage at SNL in September 2018, Davidson slammed him during a “Weekend Update” segment the following week. “You know how wrong about politics you have to be for me to notice?” he said. “Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass. I’m quoting my therapist, my mom, and my mailman.” Davidson ended the bit by putting on a “Make Kanye 2006 Again” hat. Shutterstock (2)

Kid Cudi's Birthday
One year before they called it quits, Kim and West celebrated Cudi’s 35th birthday with Davidson and Chalamet in January 2019. "It was Kid Cudi's birthday, and we went to Nobu and when I got there, I realized it was, like, a guys' dinner," Kim told Fallon about the outing during a February 2019 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "So I posted this and didn't even tag anyone. I got more DMs from my friends — from my gay friends, from my straight friends, everyone—asking me about Timothée and Pete." Pete's Shade at Kylie and Travis
After completing Netflix’s Best Friend Challenge with Machine Gun Kelly in 2020, Davidson gave a shady shout-out to Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s GQ quiz, “How Well Does Travis Scott Know Kylie Jenner?” from 2018. In the video, the rapper missed several questions about his on-again, off-again girlfriend and the mother of his daughter, Stormi. "I know it’s not no Travis and Kylie stuff where they’re like, ‘Even though we’re together but I don’t know s—t about you!’” he quipped at the time. “We’re real homies.” Netflix/YouTube

Aca-Awesome! ‘Pitch Perfect’ Costars Sweetest Reunions Over the Years

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 02:48 PM PDT

Aca-believe it! The cast of Pitch Perfect has an even tighter bond than the a cappella sisters they play on screen.

OG stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, Ester Dean, Hana Mae Lee, Kelley Jakle and Shelley Regner won over fans in 2012's Pitch Perfect as Barden University's Barden Bellas music group. As other characters joined the squad, including Chrissie Fit and Hailee Steinfeld, the love for the singing divas — who perform using only their mouths — grew stronger.

The men of the first two films, especially Adam DeVine, Skylar Astin and Ben Platt, have also cemented themselves as fan favorites.

The actors who make up the Barden Bellas and The Treblemakers have maintained close-knit friendships through the years that fans can't get enough of — and they are happy working together.

"It's our favorite thing to do," Snow, who plays Chloe in the franchise, exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2017. "We would do these movies forever, not only because we're such a family, but also because we've now gotten into a routine and a system and we understand each other's comedy."

Three months later, the Almost Family alum poked fun at her close bond with her fellow castmates via social media.

"Who are we without each other? Where are we without each other? Why can't we go one damn month without seeing each other?" Snow captioned a squad snap via Instagram in January 2018. "We know … it's weird. #bellas ****ps. I'm deleting the other picture Bc I didn't ask everyone if I could post that one — and that's what friends dooooo."

Kendrick, who plays leading lady Beca in all three films, told Us in November 2019 that the stars are part of a WhatsApp group.

"Someone will be performing [and they'll text], or sometimes it will just be, 'Hey, what's up?'" the Maine native said. "Or a little gossip, or, 'Did you guys see this?' It's very cute."

The actors are so immersed in one another's lives that Camp (who plays Aubrey), Jakle (who plays Jessica) and Fit (who joined in Pitch Perfect 2 as Flo), were all bridesmaids in Snow's March 2020 nuptials.

The following year, most of the squad reunited for Wilson's (Fat Amy) 41st birthday party in Tahiti in September 2021. The invitees were treated to a variety of activities during their multiple-day vacation, including dance parties, movies on the beach and boat excursions.

Anne Heche: Why Harrison Ford Is My 'Hero' Despite Pay Gap of Millions

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 01:50 PM PDT

Grateful for the job. Anne Heche knew that she had a massive pay gap with Harrison Ford on 1998’s Six Days, Seven Nights, but she still thinks of him as her “hero.”

Anne Heche Has a New Boyfriend: Meet Peter Thomas Roth

“All the studios want you because you’re the It Girl,” Heche, 52, explained on Dear Media’s “Trading Secrets with Jason Tartick” podcast during the Monday, November 1 episode. “And when you’re fired, you’re the Not It Girl. And I became the Not It Girl.”

The Dancing With the Stars alum revealed that she lost a $10 million contract with a movie studio and was fired from several jobs once she started dating Ellen DeGeneres in 1997. After earning $800,000 for her role in Psycho, her star was on the rise, but her same-sex relationship, which ended in 2000, changed the trajectory of her career.

That meant Heche had to take whatever job she could for whatever price was offered. She was announced as part of the cast for Six Days, Seven Nights just a day before she took her relationship public, so Heche didn’t feel she had much power to negotiate her contract after the backlash started — especially since critics were actively campaigning for her role recast.

“But because everyone was like, 'Oh, my God, Harrison said yes, so I don’t know, negotiate the deal. Just do it!' … You are not asking for anything,” the Donnie Brasco star revealed.

She continued, “Everybody would be like all over the press is like, 'We don’t want to hire Anne Heche. No gay girl can play a straight girl.' I mean, it was awful.”

That’s how she ended up with a massive pay gap between her and the Star Wars veteran, now 79. “I think for Six Days, Seven Nights, I made $125,000 for four months of shooting. And Harrison made — and I know this because I used to make fun of him — He made $20 million and 12 points on the first dollar made on the movie,” she explained.

While she said she might be slightly off with those numbers, she noted the gap was massive. Still, she says she doesn’t begrudge Ford at all for earning millions more because he helped her overcome the public backlash.

“I just want to say this and the reason why I feel comfortable saying this for anybody who is listening, Harrison Ford truly is my hero. I have done an honoring to him because the truth of the matter is that I owe him my public life,” Heche told the Bachelor Nation alum.

“I owe him the opportunity to still be speaking on this level. It’s not that I wouldn’t have kept becoming and being the advocate that I am. But the platform that it gave me that — I mean, when you say 'talk about things that are worth it' — is worth so many more millions of dollars than anything that I could have made.”

This isn’t the first time Heche has praised Ford. In October 2020, Heche explained that Ford made the call to keep her in the Six Days, Seven Nights cast.

“I would not have gotten that movie,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “He called me the day after they said I wasn’t gonna get it, because I took Ellen to the [Volcano] premiere, and Harrison Ford, he was a hero. He said, ‘Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn who you’re sleeping with. We’re gonna make the best romantic comedy there is and I’ll see ya on the set.'”

Zoe Kravitz Approves of Costume Inspired by Her and Boyfriend Channing Tatum

The couple initially sparked romance rumors after the Step Up alum was cast in the X-Men: First Class actress’ directorial debut, Pussy Island. In August, Tatum showed his support for the director by following several fan accounts dedicated to Kravitz, including "zkluv," "zoekravitzinc," "zoekravitzsource" and "kravitzupdate."

That same month, the No Reservations star was spotted holding on to the Magic Mike star while she rode on the pegs of his black BMX bike. They were later seen having fun running errands and grabbing coffee together.

Amid the public displays of affection, Us Weekly confirmed the twosome were officially an item.

"Channing and Zoe are dating," a source exclusively told Us, adding that working on Pussy Island is when the connection between the pair originally started. "They both thought the other was cool, fun and attractive, but never acted on it because they were never single."

According to the insider, things "turned romantic fast" between Tatum and Kravitz.

"They both have a lot in common, they're both very active and love outdoor sports and being in the outdoors," the source noted at the time. "They both work in Hollywood, but like being off the grid too, that's why the [recent] upstate getaway was so great for them."

Prior to their romance making headlines, the Big Little Lies alum reflected on getting to work with Tatum after envisioning him for the role in her project.

"[He was the one] I thought of when I wrote this character," she told Deadline in June. "I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he's a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter."

The dancer revealed that he was also familiar with Kravitz before signing on to the upcoming film.

"When Zoë called me about this, I was shocked. … I'd watched her in movies, knew she produced High Fidelity and had seen that, but I didn't know she was creating on a level like this, where she wanted to direct,” Tatum explained to Deadline. “This came out of nowhere and the subject matter made me say, 'Wait, why are you thinking about me for this?' No one gives me a chance to play a role like this, everybody throws me down a different alley and expects me to do a certain thing. It was scary and liberating, just to be able to have a free conversation, where I was allowed to mess up, and say the wrong things."

“This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself,” the “Irresistible” singer, 41, wrote via Instagram on Monday, November 1, alongside a photo from the day she decided to stop drinking. “I had so much self discovery to unlock and explore.”

The Texas native first told fans about her battle with alcoholism in her 2020 memoir, Open Book. Speaking about the book with Hoda Kotb, she recalled carrying a “glitter cup” that was “filled to the rim with alcohol.” After Halloween 2017, she realized she needed to make a change.

"I just realized that I had to surrender,” she said in January 2020. “It was time. I had to give it up and I was ready. I'm not going to miss another day. I'm not going to miss another Halloween. I'm not going to miss another Christmas. I'm going to be present."

In her post on Monday, the Blonde Ambition actress explained that she gave up drinking so she could “take back” her light. “Personally, to do this I needed to stop drinking alcohol because it kept my mind and heart circling in the same direction and quite honestly I was exhausted,” she wrote. “I wanted to feel the pain so I could carry it like a badge of honor.”

The singer added that she was surprised four years had already passed, telling her followers that it felt more like half of that. “There is so much stigma around the word alcoholism or the label of an alcoholic,” Simpson continued. “The real work that needed to be done in my life was to actually accept failure, pain, brokenness, and self sabotage. The drinking wasn't the issue. I was. I didn't love myself. I didn't respect my own power.”

Earlier this year, the “Come on Over” songstress celebrated her 11th anniversary with husband Eric Johnson. The duo share daughters Maxwell, 9, and Birdie, 2, and son Ace, 8.

“I knew the night we met, the fate of you, locked the key to my searching heart and simply held my soul with love and honor,” Simpson wrote via Instagram in May. “Then, now and for the rest of my life I am fully and always yours and you mine.”

Shortly after the release of Open Book, the Dukes of Hazzard star told Us Weekly that her relationship with the former NFL player, 42, had never been stronger.

The fashion designer added that she hoped her book will inspire others who might be struggling with similar issues. “Sometimes the hard choice makes you feel alone, but it's actually that same choice that will guide you to the future that you deserve,” she explained. “I hope my story — and my music — inspires people to break out of those patterns and expectations that others have put on them."

During a teaser for the Tuesday, November 2, episode of E!'s Celebrity Game Face, Metz asked her castmates Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Sullivan, “When I first moved to L.A., I was Ariana Grande’s ___.”

The actors and their respective game partners, Napiera Groves and Rachel Sullivan, were given three choices that could fill in the blank: "waxer, agent or dog walker."

“I feel like I should know this. You were an agent at one point, but were you Ariana Grande’s agent?” Chris, 41, said while trying to come up with his answer alongside his wife.

Watson, 39, chimed in, “You did young people, though! I feel like you did young folks."

Chris joked, "Ariana Grande was young at one point."

The A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood actress hesitated for a moment, questioning whether Metz, 41, walked the "Dangerous Woman" singer's dog, before choosing agent as her final answer.

Chris and Rachel also chose agent before Metz revealed that they were all correct and she did work as Grande's agent early in her career.

“I don’t know why you had me fooled with the dog walker,” host Kevin Hart said in the clip. “I only met Ariana twice and she’s had a dog in her hands both times.”

Metz previously spoke about her job as a talent agent while promoting her book, This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today, in May 2018.

“I was a talent agent for nine years. I represented Ariana Grande [and] Dove Cameron," she said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at the time. "I was on the team that represented both of those incredible ladies. It’s so fun. You know they’re going to be stars when you meet them for the first time.”

The "Go Girl" singer remembered being on Grande's team before the actress, now 28, landed her role as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious, which ran from 2010 to 2013.

Metz, for her part, began playing Kate Pearson on This Is Us in 2016. As the hit drama heads into its sixth and final season, the Florida native is preparing to say goodbye to the Big Three and her role on the NBC show.

"[I was content,] because I think that she will be happy," Metz exclusively told Us Weekly in August, adding that she thinks fans will be good with how her character's story ends. "I think there'll be contentment. I think they'll feel that bittersweet feeling that I think a lot of the episodes leave you with. I think there will feel like a sense of closure and some bittersweet memories."

This Is Us season 6 will premiere on NBC in January.

Go Inside the DWTS' Cast's Rehearsals Ahead of Queen Night: Pics

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:45 PM PDT

Queen’s music isn’t easy to sing and definitely is not easy to dance to. During the Monday, November 1, episode of Dancing With the Stars, the nine remaining pairs will take on hit songs by the Freddie Mercury-led band — and Us Weekly has an exclusive look inside their rehearsals.

The night will also serve as a precursor for the network’s The Queen Family Singalong, a one-night-only event airing Thursday, November 4, and starring Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough as well as competitors Jimmie Allen and JoJo Siwa.

First, however, they must survive another week in the ballroom. In addition to their solo numbers, the teams will also perform relay dances to try and earn extra bonus points from the judges.

The first group, made up of The Miz and Witney Carson, Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach and Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke, will perform the jive to “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”

Next, JoJo, 18, and Jenna Johnson, Olivia Jade Giannulli and Val Chmerkovskiy and Jimmie, 36, and Emma Slater will dance a foxtrot to "Under Pressure.”

Lastly, Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten, Suni Lee and Sasha Farber and Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev will take on a Viennese waltz to "We Are The Champions."

As the season continues, the stakes get higher each week — often resulting in more and more emotions. Amanda, 39, and Alan, 27, had a difficult time during Halloween week, something they reflected on following the October 25 episode.

"I only have the best intentions and you know, I'm just very passionate — not only about me, but about Amanda. I think she knows that I will do anything for her at this point. It's not just the dancing show anymore," Alan told Us Weekly and other reporters following the episode, during which he was shown telling her she needed to focus more at rehearsals. "We're friends, we're family, we're stuck with each other now."

The Talk cohost, for her part, really appreciated his stern ways and “tough love” methods.

"I know I need to be challenged," Kloots explained to Us. "I know I can go above and beyond what I think I can. And honestly, I do think that's why Alan is the perfect partner for me. … I don't know if anyone else would push me the way he does and ask for the things that he knows that I can do and that I don't think I can do, but he knows I can. He trusts me in that way, and I trust him in that way."

Nina Dobrev Shares Cheeky Tribute to Shaun White on His 35th Birthday

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:32 PM PDT

More than a summer fling! Nina Dobrev and Shaun White's whirlwind romance has gotten very serious, very quickly.

The Vampire Diaries alum and the professional snowboarder sparked dating rumors in February 2020 when fans noticed that they had shared similar photos from a trip to South Africa. One month later, they were photographed together for the first time during a bike ride in Malibu.

Us Weekly broke the news in April 2020 that Dobrev and White were, in fact, a couple. A source said at the time, "They're enjoying their time together and getting to know each other better. Nina really likes Shaun, and they both laugh a lot together."

The actress made their relationship Instagram official in May 2020 when she shared a photo of herself holding a pair of scissors while the athlete jokingly looked afraid. White later uploaded a video of Dobrev changing up his look, which he captioned, "My hairstylist said he wouldn't, so she did. #QuarantineCuts."

An insider exclusively revealed to Us at the time that the duo were "living together" amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "They're super compatible and both free-spirited people," the insider added. "They're very comfortable around each other and both supportive of one another in their fields."

Things heated up between Dobrev and White in August 2020 when they took a trip to Tulum, Mexico, where they were spotted getting cozy on a beach and in the water.

"Nina and Shaun have gotten really close during the quarantine and have been having the best time traveling together," a source exclusively told Us. "Shaun is super happy and loving life."

The Degrassi: The Next Generation alum previously dated her Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder from 2011 to 2013, Bridge of Spies actor Austin Stowell from 2015 to 2016 and former Scream Queens star Glen Powell for most of 2017. The Olympian, for his part, dated rock singer Sarah Barthel from 2014 to 2019.

‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ Stars Sweetest Reunions

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:30 PM PDT

The bonds of sisterhood! Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn have followed in their Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants characters' footsteps by creating an everlasting friendship dating back to the original 2005 movie.

As the Sisterhood films showed Bridget (Lively), Lena (Bledel), Carmen (Ferrera) and Tibby (Tamblyn), passing a pair of seemingly magical jeans back and forth during their youth, the actresses were forming an unbreakable bond of their own.

More than a decade after acting alongside one another for the first time, and returning for a sequel in 2008, the foursome's connection is stronger than ever.

In March 2019, Tamblyn reminded fans of the quad's envy-worthy dynamic with a social media message on International Women's Day.

"I'm giving a shout-out to the women I have been through hell and back with," she wrote via Instagram. "The women I don't get to see enough, but when I do, we pick right back up where we left off. The women I have held and the women who have held me, both literally and metaphorically."

Tamblyn continued: "The women I have acted with, got in fights with, wiped up a dance floor with, cried at each other's weddings with, kissed each other's brand new babies with, drank a LOT of wine with, had sleep overs with, had meltdowns with, and had life altering experiences with. Here's to all the sisterhoods out there, who have done the same for each other."

Gilmore Girls alum Bledel revealed a year prior that despite the women's busy schedules they always make time for each other. "We don't get to see each other a lot because everybody's work or family and everything," Bledel said during an April 2018 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "But when everyone’s in town, we do [get together]."

In addition to their tradition of New Year's Eve hangouts and celebrating big life events together, the stars of the Sisterhood franchise have teased an onscreen comeback for years.

"We're very proud to be friends and if we could do movies together for the rest of our lives, I think we would," Tamblyn told Us Weekly exclusively in March 2018.

In the meantime, the women are adding babies to their squad and making sure their little ones feel the love they have for one another every step of the way.

"They're my dear friends," Lively told E! News in April 2015, after welcoming her first child, James. "I would say my baby has a lot of fairy godmothers."

Scroll below to see all of the times the Sisterhood stars have reunited over the years and how one pair of pants created a lifetime of memories.

Baby and Johnny! SMG and Freddie Prinze Jr. Channel 'Dirty Dancing'

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:21 PM PDT

From a horror flick meet-cute to a married couple with two children — Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar have come a long way since their onscreen introduction.

The She's All That actor and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum met on the set of 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer and instantly connected.

"We just would talk about life and stuff like that, and we had completely different philosophies on just about everything," Prinze told Us Weekly exclusively in February 2020.

The friendship also began over the Los Angeles native's desire to cook for Gellar, who he thought "was too skinny" at the time.

"So, we started this weekly barbecue thing at her house, and me and my cousins would come over and cook food for her and her friends," he recalled. "And then we'd make sure everybody ate, and that was kind of how our friendship began."

The costars friendship became romantic after a fumbled dinner date in January 2000.

“We were supposed to have dinner with a friend of ours, and she didn’t make her plane, so we went anyway,” the Long Island, New York, native told Us in February 2020. “We’d had tons of dinners before and for some reason, it felt different that night. Organically, it just transitioned into something else.”

Two years later, the pair tied the knot in September 2002 in an intimate ceremony in Mexico. The same year, the lovebirds reunited onscreen to play Fred and Daphne in Scooby-Doo, roles they later reprised for the 2004 sequel.

The '90s sweethearts welcomed two children, daughter Charlotte and son Rocky, in 2009 and 2012, respectively.

Throughout their relationship, the pair has grown closer and although they keep their family life private, the actors have occasionally given fans a peek at their home life and shared how they've managed to stay together for so long.

"Communicate. That's the key. It's about being present," the Crazy Ones alum told Us in January 2019. "Listening is the most important thing."

The Summer Catch actor told Us that being light with one another is also important. "We still make each other laugh. And we treat each other with respect," he said.

Scroll down to see how Prinze and Gellar went from costars to friends to lovers and then a family of four.

The couple added two puppies to their family in November 2020 as an early Christmas present for their daughter and son. “Puppies, puppies are harder,” Prinze Jr. exclusively told Us, comparing dogs Kumi and Sato to his children. “Like, [with] the kids you go, ‘OK, when they’re older, if I’m nice to them, they’re going to take care of me.’ Dogs, you’re like, ‘Man, when they’re older, then I will take care of them more.’ So, puppies are harder.” Alex Berliner/BEI/Shutterstock

The couple reunited onscreen in February 2020 in a Cascade commercial. The pair joked about “doing it every night” when talking about washing the dishes together. “We do it after enchiladas,” Prinze said in the ad, to which Gellar added, “We do it after takeout.” YouTube
Road Trip Romance
The Los Angeles native told Us exclusively in February 2020 that his romance with his future wife all began on the set of 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer. Prinze Jr. recalled that Gellar didn’t have her driver’s license when they were filming the horror film in North Carolina, so he started to drive her “and that’s when we became friends.” “We just would talk about life and stuff like that, and we had completely different philosophies on just about everything,” he told Us about the couple’s initial friendship. “‘Cause she was a born and raised New Yorker and I was a born and raised L.A. kid, and we just looked at everything like night and day.” The duo also bonded over food. Prinze Jr. “thought she was too skinny” and “wanted to cook for her, because that’s what my family does,” the actor added. “So, we started this weekly barbecue thing at her house, and me and my cousins would come over and cook food for her and her friends. And then we’d make sure everybody ate, and that was kind of how our friendship began.” Mandalay Ent/Kobal/Shutterstock(2)
Secret to Success
Prinze Jr. revealed the secret to his healthy marriage with Gellar in an interview with Us in February 2020. “There’s no keys. There’s no rules. There’s nothing like that. I don’t believe in false expectations,” the GEGG WARS: Galaxy of Crime actor said. “I just believe in knowing who you are when you start a relationship. And if you don’t, then that relationship probably isn’t going to work.” Shutterstock
Back to the Start
Gellar recalled her accidental first date with Prinze Jr. via Instagram in January 2020. "20 years ago this week, my friend @realfreddieprinze and I were supposed to have dinner with a mutual friend from out of town," she penned. "That friend missed her flight, but we decided to still meet and catch up. Now 20 years together, 17 plus married and two kids, we still go to that restaurant for dinner. So thank you @sloaney77 for not showing up for dinner." Shutterstock

Hard Work
Gellar told Us on September 24, 2019, that her relationship with Prinze. Jr. isn't always easy. “It takes work to have a good friendship," she said at the time. "You have to call and check in and dedicate that time, and most people aren’t willing to put that work in. So to have a successful relationship, whether it’s marriage, whether it’s friendship, whether it’s business, you have to put the time, if you want to see the results.” Courtesy of Sarah Michelle Gellar/Instagram

After the shocking misfire on the Rust set, the twosome made a trip to Vermont, which Hilaria, 37, planned as a way to help Alec, 63, cope with the situation.

“I brought [Alec] up here because we have to mourn Halyna’s death. Alec had a really traumatic thing happen, and I am trying to limit the PTSD,” she told the New York Post on Saturday, October 30. “He needs space for me to take care of him and his mental health. It’s an awful thing that happened. Alec feels awful.”

The Massachusetts native, who shares Carmen, 8, Rafael, 6, Leonardo, 5, Romeo, 3, Eduardo, 13 months, and Maria, 7 months, with her husband, noted that she was attempting to find a “quiet” place for her family.

“I didn’t know where I was going, I just drove,” Hilaria added. “I just drove around and around and around with my kids … I drove around for an entire day trying to find a place.”

The couple’s relocation comes after Alec discharged a weapon while filming Rust, which ended up hitting Hutchins, 42, and Joel Souza. The cinematographer was taken to a hospital in New Mexico before dying from her injuries. The director, 48, survived and has since been released.

Following the shocking shooting, the film’s production company issued a statement addressing the incident.

"The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today's tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna's family and loved ones," Rust Movie Productions LLC wrote via a statement after the October 21 mishap. "We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department's investigation. We will be providing counseling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event."

The Beetlejuice star, for his part, briefly addressed the situation after arriving in Vermont over the weekend. (He first paid tribute one day after the incident.)

"I'm not allowed to make any comments because it's an ongoing investigation," the New York native told reporters on Saturday. "I've been ordered by the sheriff's department in Santa Fe, I can't answer any questions about the investigation. I can't — it's an active investigation in terms of a woman died. She was my friend."

The 30 Rock alum took the time to reflect on his friendship with the Ukraine native.

"The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel, the director,” he shared. “We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened."

That same day, the yoga instructor took to social media to publicly support her husband, who she married in 2012.

"I love you and I'm here❤," Hilaria captioned a pic of the duo holding hands via Instagram.

While celebrating Halloween, Spelling, 48, took to her Instagram Stories to show off her matching costume with friend Laura Rugetti, writing, “Never look back.” The twosome previously showed off their killer looks while attending a party in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 29, decked out as dead brides, wearing white corsets and veils.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum’s social media post comes after her and McDermott, 54, sparked split rumors earlier this year. In June, Spelling revealed that the pair, who got married in 2006, were no longer sleeping in the same bed.

“Right now, my kids and dogs sleep in my bed,” the Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? star told Jeff Lewis during an appearance on his radio show.

The former Masked Singer contestant noted that the change originally happened when the Slasher star was working.

"Since he left — this is not good, you guys — but since he left [and] he was gone for six months filming in another country, they all stayed with me," Spelling explained at the time. "So I currently still have four in the bedroom with me who have yet to go back to their rooms, yes."

The following month, McDermott, who shares Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 10, Finn, 9, and Beau, 4, with Spelling, hit back when a fan asked why he went to a baseball game without his family.

“Has it ever occurred to all you people commenting ‘where’s your wife and kids’ that they're not into baseball????” the Chopped Canada host replied after sharing a photo of himself alone in July.

Three months later, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in October that a recent “fight” added tension between the pair. According to the insider, Spelling “wants a divorce, but she feels trapped right now.”

“[They] constantly fight and break up,” the source added, noting that this time was “really serious.”

That same month, the Mystery Girls alum made headlines with her reaction when asked about the status of her marriage.

During an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, the California native avoided answering the question from guest host Whitney Cummings, instead saying, “What? You know I’m not going to answer that.”

The comedian, 39, replied, “Fair enough, fair enough. We asked, I love you, this is somebody that has strong boundaries and she’s controlling the narrative, and answers the questions [we] want to ask when she wants to answer them, and I respect that and I love that about you.”

Spelling, who wasn’t wearing her wedding ring during the taping, added, “Awesome, so what are you going to ask me next?”

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson Are 'Just Friends' — for Now

Watch this space! Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson set social media aflame when they were spotted holding hands, but their relationship is totally platonic, two different sources confirmed to Us Weekly.

Pete Davidson's Dating History: Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, More!

“No one really knows what is going on with Kim and Pete,” one insider exclusively tells Us of the Skims founder, 41, and the Saturday Night Live star, 27. “They are just friends right now, but things could turn romantic.”

The duo made headlines on Friday, October 29, when they visited Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, with Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker, Harry Hudson, Stephanie Shepherd and other friends. It seemed like a friendly outing until the pair were photographed holding hands while riding one of the theme park’s roller-coasters.

Despite what it may have looked like, the Selfish author is still happily enjoying life on her own. “Kim is single and having fun at the moment,” the source adds.

The second insider notes that Kim was “surprised” by the amount of chemistry she has with the New York City native.

In February, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum filed for divorce from Kanye West, whom she wed in May 2014. The former couple share children North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.

Davidson, for his part, was previously engaged to Ariana Grande before they called it quits in October 2018. The comedian has also been linked to Kaia Gerber, Margaret Qualley and Phoebe Dynevor.

Earlier in October, Kim and the King of Staten Island actor crossed paths when she hosted SNL for the first time. In one sketch, the twosome shared a kiss while dressed as Jasmine and Aladdin, sending viewers into a frenzy.

In June, however, a source told Us that the KKW Beauty mogul isn’t spending much time on dating in the aftermath of her split from West, 44.

"She's not focused on dating at the moment but actually worries that guys will not want to date her because of how public her relationship was with Kanye," the insider explained at the time. "She also knows how hard it is to build trust with someone, so she thinks it's going to take time before letting someone into her private life. It was easy with Kanye because they were friends before so they had years' worth of trust."

Kim hasn’t been publicly linked to anyone since her split from the rapper, though rumors have swirled about several potential boyfriends, including Maluma. After reports circulated that he was dating the reality star, the Colombian singer, 27, clarified that the pair are just pals.

“We were together at the Dior show. I met her for the first time there,” the Marry Me star told L’Officiel in September. “We don’t talk that often, but yeah, we are good friends and we always wish the best for each other.”

Why ‘Outer Banks’ Fans Think Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes Split

Posted: 01 Nov 2021 11:57 AM PDT

Is filming season 3 of Outer Banks about to get weird for Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes? Fans of the Netflix series continue to speculate that the costars have called it quits in-between seasons.

Cline (Sarah Cameron) and Stokes (John B.) met on the set of season 1 of Outer Banks, which started streaming in April 2020. They later celebrated their first anniversary on April 4, 2021.

“365 w/ u,” the actor wrote via Instagram. She responded at the time, “And I'd do it again.”

While promoting season 2 of the drama, the pair, who portray a couple on-screen, opened up about their off-screen relationship in the most candid manner yet.

"For season 2, as soon as we get to work, we'll support each other. We'll be scene partners and take care of each other when it's an emotional moment. But it doesn't mean that if I don't believe you, that I'm not going to call you out and she holds me to the same standard," he told V Magazine in July. "Then, as soon as we get back to our trailers and we're taking off our makeup and character clothes, it's like that world disappears. I'm very thankful for her and the journey we're on, it's been awesome."

Cline, for her part, opened up about separating their characters' relationship with their real-life romance.

"The biggest thing for me going back to work, I was nervous, because for me my workspace was incredibly sacred. It's very personal to me and I do not like to bring any sort of personal troubles to my workspace," she said on The Talk in August. "I'm kind of notorious for even turning my phone off and not answering it for hours, or just like leaving it in my trailer, because I like to focus on what's in front of me. I'm very much of a one-track mind kind of person."

The actress added that they "laid the groundwork" before things got too serious off-camera.

"We laid the groundwork first and foremost," Cline explained. "And I was like, 'This is a big priority to me, and you know, from what I know based on how you work, it is for you too. But I want to make sure that we hold each other accountable and that we don't bring anything personal that could potentially distract each other or our fellow castmates on the day.' So, it wasn't hard at all, and I really respect that about him and our relationship."

After celebrating the success of season 2 during the summer, however, rumors that the duo hit pause on their romance surfaced in September. As the fall continues, the pair have yet to publicly deny split speculation. After season 2 of Outer Banks ended on a cliffhanger, season 3 is expected in 2022, but Netflix has yet to officially announce plans for the third installment.

Scroll through for a breakdown of the signs it's over between the stars:

Candace Cameron Bure Claps Back at Criticism Over Family's Wedding Style

Not having it! Candace Cameron Bure clapped back at trolls who criticized her family's wedding style.

Every Time Candace Cameron Bure Has Clapped Back on Social Media

The snapshot making waves online was from a weekend wedding Bure, 45, attended with her husband, Valerie Bure, and kids Natasha, 23, and Lev, 21. "Wedding season and I am HERE 👏🏼 FOR 👏🏼 IT 👏🏼!!! ❤💘💖," the Full House alum wrote on Saturday, October 30.

"Mama gets another family pic (minus Maks who's away at college.)," she continued, referencing her 19-year-old son, Maksim.

While some followers “liked" the image, others decided to share their critiques of the family's fashion choices in the comments. As a result, Candace was quick to let them know she wasn't interested in their takes.

When one social media user questioned why the Fuller House star and her daughter decided to wear red, calling it a "no-no at weddings, along with white!," Candace replied, "Anything goes in L.A. There were 4 women wearing red dresses to the wedding."

Another commenter also had a problem with the former child star's dress color, writing, "Supposed to avoid red at weddings, it’s a power color, [it] steals spotlight from the bride.”

Candace once again pointed out that there are "different style rules in Los Angeles,” before adding a winking emoji at the end of her message.

Yet others in her comments continued to voice their opinions, including some fans who criticized her son's choice not to wear socks to the ceremony, with one person calling the look "a no for me." The Some Kind of Wonderful actress retorted, "Thanks for letting us know!"

When one Instagram user called her son's no-sock look "unattractive," the A Christmas Detour actress shot back, “Comments like this are unattractive. People enjoy style in different ways. It’s not always necessary to share your opinion.”

Candace has been outspoken before against bullies on her social media feed — especially when they come for her family.

In January, she said that when she responds to mean comments about her kids on her Instagram, that's her maternal instinct switching into high gear.

“I’m a mama bear. I mean, I really don’t know any mother that is not fiercely protective of their children and it doesn’t matter what ages my kids are,” she told Us Weekly. “I will always be protective of them.”

She continued, “I clap back occasionally, but it’s always in kindness and I believe it’s in truth and love.”
