Thankful’! Christina Haack, Joshua Hall Enjoy Thanksgiving Weekend Getaway Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:59 PM PST Far from a flop! Christina Haack and Joshua Hall's sweet love story has captivated fans since they first announced their relationship in July 2021. Following her divorce from Ant Anstead, the Christina on the Coast star was spotted with a handsome stranger who Us Weekly subsequently confirmed was Hall. Soon after, Haack opened up about her new relationship in a lengthy Instagram post, noting she wanted to "protect" her new beau from all the hard parts of life in the spotlight. "I met Josh when I wasn't in a state of fear or fight-or-flight. … The synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore," she wrote on July 8, 2021. "I felt immediately crazy protective over him and wanted to keep him for myself and get to know each other before the tornado (media attention) hit." The HGTV star then detailed how her relationship had progressed since the pair officially got together. According to a source, they'd first met years earlier during a real estate conference. "We've had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other and I've loved every second of it," Haack wrote. The Wellness Remodel author also slammed critics who said the relationship came along too soon. "Yes 'another relationship' and guess what. I'm 38 — I'll do what I want," she added. "The synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore." Before her marriage to Anstead, Haack was married to her Flip or Flop costar Tarek El Moussa. The California native seems to approve of his ex-wife’s new relationship, having told Entertainment Tonight in July 2021 that he's met Hall "a few times" through real estate work. The Tarek's Flip Side host also said that he thinks Hall "seems like" a good guy. "[I] don't really know him, but I sure hope so," he added. The former costars share two children: daughter Taylor, born in 2010, and son Brayden, born in 2015. Haack also shares son Hudson, born in 2019, with Anstead. "I never thought I would have one divorce let alone two," Haack wrote via Instagram in September 2020 to announce her second split. "I never thought I would have 2 baby daddies – but sometimes life throws us curve balls. Instead of getting stuck in these 'setbacks' I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow. So while some may judge me and throw around rumors about me, most of you support me. And that says a lot about this world and where we are headed. I'm messy, I'm real and I'm working on healing. … We are all a work in progress." We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect. Kim Kardashian Shares Emotional Tribute to Virgil Abloh: 'Why Him So Soon?' Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:32 PM PST ![]() Missing her friend. Kim Kardashian wrote an emotional post in honor of the late Virgil Abloh one day after his death following a secret cancer battle. “God doesn't make mistakes. I know that but I still can't help but ask why,” the Skims founder wrote via Instagram on Monday, November 29. “Why Virgil?! Why him so soon? it's simply hard to understand why. I have a hard time understanding why so many pure souls were taken away so early.” The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had been friends with Abloh, who died at age 41 on Sunday, November 28, for years. The duo became close thanks in part to Abloh’s friendship with her estranged husband, Kanye West, who appointed him creative director of his Donda creative agency. “Virgil- you were always so gentle, kind and calm,” Kardashian continued in her post. “You somehow made time for everyone. We also talked about your superpower of calmness often. You always gave so much of yourself to the world because you wanted it to be doper. This one is hard to process.” As the founder of his own label, Off-White, and the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear, Abloh was one of the most in-demand fashion designers in the world, but he was also known for maintaining close friendships with tons of people. “He's the nicest person you'll ever meet,” the KKW Beauty mogul told Vogue in May 2019. “He's a genuinely kind soul.” In her Instagram post on Monday, the Dancing With the Stars alum also sent her support to Abloh’s wife, Shannon Abloh, and the couple’s two children, Grey and Lowe. “I would love to send so much love to his wife Shannon,” Kardashian wrote. “Because you loved and supported Virgil the way that you did, he was able to give so much of himself everyone else. So thank you truly for sharing him with us the way that you did.” In her Instagram Stories on Monday, the reality star also posted a graphic with a message about the importance of gratitude. “Cherish your life,” the message read. “Cherish your health, cherish your family, cherish your friends. For these are the things that money can’t buy, they truly define your wealth.” West also paid tribute to his friend over the weekend, dedicating his latest Sunday Service to his memory. His choir sang a cover of Adele‘s “Easy on Me” with slightly reworked lyrics. “Go easy on me, father,” the new version of the chorus went. "I am still your child / And I need a chance to / Feel your love around." Kardashian, who has since been linked to Pete Davidson, filed for divorce from West in February. |

Everything We Know About Tori Spelling and Dean’s Marriage Status Amid Drama Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:28 PM PST Weathering the storm? Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are "not in a healthy place" amid divorce rumors, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "It’s gotten really bad and those close to them feel it won’t last much longer," the insider says, noting the duo "can't stand to be around each other" at this point. "There’s a lot of tension built up." While the marriage appears to be on the rocks, the source explains that both stars are "still in it for the kids." The insider notes that the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum doesn't plan to divorce McDermott "right now because of the kids." The Troop Beverly Hills actress and the Pretty Hard Cases star wed in May 2006. They have since welcomed five children: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau. "No matter what [happens], their kids will come first and always be their number one priority," the source adds. Over the years, the spouses have had many ups and downs, including infidelity on McDermott's part and financial woes. In February 2019, the actress exclusively told Us that they "don't have relationship problems" after overcoming McDermott's cheating scandal five years prior. "We communicate now, I have a voice," Spelling explained at the time. "He probably hears too much of it but he [is so] good at listening. Women like to talk and over-explain." However, during the summer of 2021, the twosome sparked split speculation after Spelling was spotted without her wedding ring. McDermott, for his part, was also seen without his wedding band around the same time. While the couple denied they are breaking up, fans have noticed a few red flags that make it seem as though their marriage isn't in a good place. For starters, Spelling revealed in June that she and McDermott were sleeping in separate beds. Four months later, the actress was spotted at an attorney's office holding documents that appeared to be about child support and custody of their five kids. The pair have since managed to dodge questions about their relationship status, but a source exclusively told Us earlier this month that the BH90210 actress and the Slasher star "have fought a lot" over the years, but recently had a "really serious" argument. "She's tried counseling with him," the insider said in October, noting that Spelling "feels trapped" in the marriage partly because of their money trouble. "It's always been an issue," the source added. Scroll down to see where Spelling and McDermott stand in their marriage amid all their recent ups and downs: ![]() “Right now, my kids and dogs sleep in my bed,” Spelling told Jeff Lewis in June, adding that McDermott was sleeping in a separate area at their house after returning home from filming a project overseas. “Since he left — this is not good, you guys — but since he left [and] he was gone for six months filming in another country, they all stayed with me,” she continued. “So I currently still have four in the bedroom with me who have yet to go back to their rooms, yes.” Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock ![]() “Tori and Dean have been having major issues for over a year now,” a source exclusively told Us in June. “The fact that she’s talking about sleeping in separate beds is very telling, she wouldn’t do that unless things were really not great between them. Stewart Cook/Fox/Picturegroup/Shutterstock ![]() The “90210MG” podcast cohost sidestepped questions about her marriage status in September after being spotted with McDermott over Labor Day for the first time in months. “We’ve been going to the Malibu Chill Cookoff since Liam was 1 year old. He’s 14. So it’s a tradition,” Spelling told Lewis at the time, choosing not to answer his question about divorce rumors. “The family does it together every year.” London Entertainment/Shutterstock; twoeyephotos/MEGA ![]() McDermott explained in September why both he and Spelling were seen without their wedding rings earlier in the year, saying his wife simply forgot to put hers back on after washing her hands. He revealed during an appearance on the “Feminine Warrior” podcast that he was recently spotted with no ring on his left hand after losing the band during a game of golf. “I lost my utility ring and then somebody saw that [and said], ‘He doesn’t have his ring,’” the Open Range actor recalled. “So, now, everybody’s in a titter, so I’m like, ‘Forget it, I’m not going to replace it. Just let them think it.'” McDermott further commented on rumors that the twosome had separated saying, “It’s just weird that people need to know. ‘What’s going on with Tori and Dean? She’s not wearing her ring.’ Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?” Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() Spelling was spotted outside an attorney’s office in October holding documents that read “assets,” “support” and “custody,” fueling divorce rumors once again. Happy Holidays? Tori and Dean Celebrated Thanksgiving as a Family Amid Drama Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:24 PM PST ![]() Happy holidays? Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott celebrated Thanksgiving "as a family," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "Everyone chipped in for the cooking and preparation," the insider says of the family-focused event. "They really are trying to celebrate the holidays as a family and put aside their differences." The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 48, and the Slasher actor, 55, "have a lot of heated arguments and good and bad days," the source says, noting that they are "still there for their children" no matter what. "Most importantly, [they] want their kids to be happy," insider explains, adding that the divorce may "still happen," but for now, the couple have an "understanding" when it comes to the holidays. The duo, who wed in 2006, share five children: Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 9, Finn, 8, and Beau, 4. "They’re trying to just get through the rest of the year as one unit," the source adds. Earlier this year, Spelling and McDermott sparked split speculation when they were spotted on separate occasions without their wedding bands. The sTORI Telling author fueled breakup rumors when she revealed in June that she wasn't sleeping in the same bedroom as her husband after he returned home from a project overseas. McDermott, however, seemingly shut down split chatter in September during an appearance on the "Feminine Warrior" podcast. At the time, he said Spelling forgot to put her ring on after washing her hands when she was photographed without the diamond. He claimed he lost his band while playing a game of golf. ![]() One month later, Spelling reignited the rumor mill when she was photographed outside an attorney's office with documents that read "assets," "support" and "custody." A source told Us in October that the BH90210 alum "wants a divorce" after a disagreement following McDermott going "missing" for two days. The insider added that Spelling "feels trapped" in her marriage but has been muddling through it for their children. "There's no trust there," another source told Us earlier this month of the pair's current dynamic. "It's been building up over time." Spelling raised eyebrows in November when she shared her family's holiday card via social media, and McDermott was nowhere to be seen. "With Love, from our farm to your home! Xoxo, Tori & Family," she signed the card, leading many fans to think she and the Open Range actor were broken up. After a fan joked that McDermott "must be 'working' out of town" to have missed the photoshoot, Spelling replied, "Fact: @imdeanmcdermott was filming his new feature film in Canada." While the Unchartered TerriTORI author seemingly shut down split speculation with her comment, she turned heads one day later when she shared two more holiday photos without McDermott. Spelling posted two different photos of herself holding custom stockings on November 23, asking her fans to help weigh in on which ones she should hang at home this year. Both images, which were part of a sponsored post, also featured embroidered stockings with her kids' names on them hanging from the fire. McDermott, however, didn't get a shout-out or a stocking, again leading some fans to question whether they were still together. The Troop Beverly Hills actress shared a Thanksgiving photo with her daughters on Thursday, November 25, calling them "empowered females" for their help "cooking, cheering and chatting" with her in the kitchen. Two days later, Spelling was spotted with McDermott and their children out at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, for the first time in months. It’s Over! Tiffany Haddish and Common Split After More Than 1 Year Together: Reports Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:01 PM PST ![]() It's over! Tiffany Haddish and Common have split after more than one year of dating, according to multiple reports. E! News and People reported on Monday, November 29, that the twosome called it quits, citing long-distance and busy schedules as the catalyst for the breakup. The comedian, 41, and the rapper, 49, first connected on the 2019 film The Kitchen where they played love interests. The following year, they sparked relationship speculation when they teamed up for Bumble's virtual dating campaign in April 2020. They continued to fuel romance rumors in May 2020, after Haddish seemingly confirmed that she and Common (real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn) were quarantining together amid the COVID-19 crisis. Two months later, the Girls Trip actress revealed that they were an item after starting out as platonic friends. "I am in a relationship," Haddish said during a July 2020 episode of the "Wild Ride! With Steve-O" podcast. "I met Common when I was filming my movie The Kitchen, he was in it. He was, I guess, kind of like my love interest. I made out with him in the movie, and we became friends, but it wasn't anything sexual … because my eyes were set on something else." The Last Black Unicorn author also gushed over her time with the Oscar winner and the positive impact their relationship has had on her self-esteem. "I've lost 20 pounds since I've been in this relationship. I feel more confident in me, and it's not him that's doing it," Haddish explained. "I'm just way happier and it's, like, knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways, and I love it. I love him." She added: "This is hands down the best relationship I've ever been in. Knock on wood!" One year later, a source exclusively told Us that both Haddish and Common have gotten their close friends' approval when it came to their relationship. "Friends love them as a couple," the insider said in July, noting that many "see them in it for the long run." In addition to her romance, Haddish has been open about her desire to become a mother, exclusively telling Us earlier this month that she "had to put a pause" on her adoption process because her career has "picked up" recently. "I feel when you take a child [in], you really need to be able to focus on them," she said on November 15. "I want to raise it. I want to raise the child. I want to give the child my knowledge and my love. So I want to finish up a few more things, so that I can really focus." The Night School actress was previously married to William Stewart from 2011 to 2013. Common, for his part, shares 24-year-old daughter Omoye Assata Lynn with a former girlfriend. |
Still Swinging! Tom Holland Isn't Leaving the 'Spider-Man' Franchise Posted: 29 Nov 2021 01:33 PM PST ![]() The suit still fits! Tom Holland will return as Spider-Man in future Marvel movies despite previously hinting that he wasn’t sure he’d continue his role as Peter Parker. Producer Amy Pascal revealed that Holland, 25, won’t be retiring from playing the web-slinging superhero after Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts in December. “This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal, 63, told Fandango in a Monday, November 29, interview. “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel.” Holland’s contract was set to end following his third headlining flick and sixth Marvel Studios movie overall, but Pascal made it clear that the British actor will stick around for quite a while. She added that his movies will continue to be connected to the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe. (Sony bought the rights to Spider-Man long before Marvel Studios existed, so the companies have to collaborate to keep Holland’s hero connected to the other Avengers.) “We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe] movies,” the two-time Oscar nominee explained. Previously, the Cherry star said he wasn’t sure if he’d return as the web-slinging superhero. His predecessor Tobey Maguire only had three films while fellow Spider-Man Andrew Garfield was cut off after two. “Maybe it is time for me to move on,” Holland said in a November GQ story. “Maybe what's best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film.” Morales is a different comic book character who suits up as Spider-Man. The biracial character, who was featured in 2018's animated Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, has a vocal fanbase who have long been campaigning for him to be introduced in a live action film. Holland later suggested he was getting too old for the role, telling GQ, “If I'm playing Spider-Man after I'm 30, I've done something wrong." However, the Billy Elliot star made it clear that he had no idea what the future held. ![]() "I'd be very content with just being a stay-at-home dad, and producing a film here and there," he explained. "I might start shooting The Crowded Room [a new series for Apple TV+] and go, 'You know what, this is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life.' Or I might do Spider-Man 4, 5 and 6, finish when I'm 32, and never make another. I'm not sure what I want to do." One month prior, Holland told Entertainment Weekly interview that he and costars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who play MJ and Ned, respectively, “were all treating [Spider-Man: No Way Home] as the end of a franchise,” adding, “I think if we were lucky enough to dive into these characters again, you’d be seeing a very different version. It would no longer be the Homecoming trilogy.” Zendaya, 25, who sparked a romance with Holland after portraying his love interest in the franchise, has also noted that there seemed to be a sense of finality when they filmed Spider-Man: No Way Home. “We don’t know if we’re gonna do another one,” she told E! News in July. “Like, is it just gonna be three and done? Normally you do three movies and that’s pretty much it, so I think we just were all absorbing and taking the time to just enjoy the moment, being with each other and being so grateful for that experience.” While Holland’s return was confirmed, it isn’t clear if his supporting cast will join him. Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters December 17. |
Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 29 Nov 2021 12:42 PM PST Ben Higgins may have given his final rose to Lauren Bushnell, but he found lasting love with Jessica Clarke. Bachelor Nation first met Higgins when he competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe's heart on season 11 of The Bachelorette. After finishing in third place, ABC named the Colorado native the season 20 Bachelor. Higgins subsequently got down on one knee and proposed to Bushnell during the March 2016 finale. The duo, who landed their own spinoff, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?, called it quits in May 2017. "I would say the joy that we felt toward our relationship at the beginning was — for some reason — slipping away," Higgins revealed on his "Almost Famous" podcast at the time. "And we were both working very hard to bring that joy back. And it just never seemed to get there. So it was a long time coming but it wasn't necessarily like we dragged it out. … It's hard to say goodbye to somebody that you spent so much time with and it's hard to say goodbye to somebody that you really did believe was The One." While Higgins returned to reality TV to compete on The Bachelor: Winter Games in 2018, he quit the spinoff without a love connection. By the end of that year, however, Higgins met Clarke through Instagram. "She's a very kind, pure, emphatic and supportive person in general. And she's not only like that to me. I'm part of that, but she's like that to everybody around her," Higgins gushed to Us in April 2019. "She challenges me to be more empathetic, more loving, more caring, more kind as well. So I'm very happy." The pair’s relationship got serious quick. "We're great. It's fun. It's just healthy … I think she would say the same. Our relationship is healthy," Higgins told Us in January 2020. "I'm a better version of myself, a more free version of myself than I've been in a while." Higgins proposed to Clarke in March 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. "From my first date in life to the moments in between they all led me to getting down on one knee in front of you @jessclarke_," he wrote at the time via Instagram. "This weekend I asked Jessica to give me the honor of being her partner for life. She said YES! Hey friends meet @jessclarke_!” Higgins wrote on February 20. “I successfully slid into her Dm’s a few months ago. I took a risk and I am glad I did. She is someone special, and I look forward to where life is going to take us. Stay tuned for the journey.” Courtesy Jess Clarke/Instagram ![]() The pair were in a long-distance relationship when they first started dating. “Long-distance isn’t ideal, I don’t love it. I want to be around her more and we don’t get to be around each other a ton, so that’s not something I want to keep doing,” Higgins told Us in March 2019. “But I think there’s a good compromise, and that’s giving up more of my time to go see her. And I’m ready for that. … She’s just an incredible person.” Courtesy Jess Clarke/Instagram ![]() Higgins put a ring on it in March 2020. Us broke the news of their engagement. I forget the exact scenario that it came up,” Higgins told Us at the time. “We didn’t know at that point — who knew where it was going, but like, you know, [I said], ‘Let’s just make this commitment now.’ We had talked about it and agreed to it. Oftentimes that we bring it up. Like, we still have the desires and we still have the emotions and the physical desires to love each other.” Shutterstock ![]() The twosome wasted no time planning their nuptials. “All I want is our reception to be in a huge tent with twinkly lights. So she’ll make an appearance on the show, but she will not be watching it,” Higgins told Us about The Bachelor: GOAT. “She’s going to get through that day, and probably the week afterward, with all the comments about my season, and then we’ll move on. But it’s not healthy, I don’t think, for her to probably watch it.” Clarke took to Instagram to show Higgins support, however. “Cheering you on from afar tonight,” she wrote. “I’m so proud of who you are and happy for all of the steps that led me to you! You make me smile so big it smushes my face.” Courtesy Ben Higgins/Instagram ![]() Clarke shared a photo on Instagram of Higgins kissing her and marked a special anniversary. "Every Thanksgiving from now on, I’ll remember the first message you sent me!" she wrote of receiving a message from her future husband on Instagram. "Waking up 2 years ago and seeing a DM from a random stranger, I never imagined I’d be marrying him." "Thank you for supporting me in following my dreams, loving me on my most tired days, making me a better person, and always making me feel like I am good enough just as I am," Clarke continued. "This photo is from last year when we were traveling all of the time. I remember being so worried that one day life would slow down and we wouldn’t know what to do with one another, but this year I’ve learned that those slow days are my favorite." Courtesy of Jessica Clarke/Instagram ![]() Higgins revealed via Instagram that the couple are officially homeowners in Colorado. “Jess and I now own a house together (staying in Denver)! We don’t own any furniture but we are hoping Mr. Claus and Mrs. Claus send some our way this Christmas,” he captioned a photo of the pair in their new home. “Until then, our and probably next many dinners in the new house will be on the floor, just the way it should be! Also, before you start blowing up the comments this will be Jess private VIP party pad until the wedding, then I move in to crash the place! Let the fun begin!” Courtesy of Ben Higgins/Instagram ![]() As Clarke gushed about her future following 2020’s many challenges, she shared her excitement about finally marrying Higgins. “This year I hope to be able to see friends and family more, continue making our house a home, begin a career as an esthetician, and of course GET MARRIED,” she shared via Instagram. Shannon Beador on ‘RHOC’ Season 16 Cast Shakeups: ‘I Agree With Some’ Posted: 29 Nov 2021 12:26 PM PST Housewives shakeup! The cast of Real Housewives of Orange County will look a little different in season 16 — and Shannon Beador is on board with the changes. Well, most of them. The RHOC star exclusively told Us Weekly that she was "very surprised" by the decision to let Kelly Dodd, Elizabeth Lyn Vargas and Braunwyn Windham-Burke go from the show — but she wasn't all that upset by it either. "Let's just say I agreed with some of [the choices] and I didn't with others," the Real to Real founder said. "With one, I didn't necessarily agree with — but it's all good. I'm actually very happy with the cast that we have right now." Following the season 15 reunion in January, Andy Cohen teased that the first show to kick off the hit Bravo franchise could use a "reboot.” The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host later clarified his comments, telling E! News In March, "I think that show's really important to a lot of people and it's the mothership of all the Housewives, and so we just want to take our sweet time." However, when the trailer for season 16 dropped in November, Kelly, 46, Elizabeth, 46, and Braunwyn, 44, were nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Heather Dubrow had returned after previously leaving the series in 2017. Shannon told Us that she "felt bad" for Kelly after hearing she would not be returning to the show. "But she's doing well right now," the reality star continued. "She's moving on and doing well." While she stays in touch with Elizabeth — "We'll text sometimes," Shannon told Us — she has no plans to make nice with some of her other former costars including Tamra Judge, who left RHOC in 2020. "I don't think I would enjoy it," Shannon told Us when asked whether she'd like to see her former friend, 54, rejoin the reality series. "I feel like I'm in a happy place right now and I think you'll see that this season." ![]() She added, "I mean, we had fun together so I would suppose I'd say I'd miss that part of [her being on the show], but with the way things are now. There are a lot of untruths being said continually — like years now." Shannon is "still choosing not to engage and address" her feud with Tamra, which escalated after Shannon became close with Kelly. "We were friends and sadly we're not anymore," she told Us. While Shannon might not be interested in seeing the real estate agent back on the show, Heather, 52, exclusively revealed to Us that it almost happened in season 16. "I actually invited Tamra to a party this season and, unfortunately, it didn’t work out," Heather said. "But I think that this season is … transitional and it’s interesting. It ends in a very surprising way and I honestly don’t know where it’s going to go from here. … So I’m going to leave that up to the producers." The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 premieres on Bravo Wednesday, December 1, at 9 p.m. ET. Reporting by Christina Garibaldi |

A source exclusively told Us in early September that "Amelia was the one who ended things" after the duo were first linked in October 2020. A second insider noted at the time that the breakup "had a lot to do with how her mom felt about him," adding that Rinna "was never a fan" of the Talentless designer, 38. Rinna made her feelings toward Disick known during an August episode of RHOBH, in which she lamented about Amelia's choice in men. "Why can't it be Harry Styles? Why the f–k is it Scott Disick?" the Oregon native joked at the time. The following month, Rinna told Andy Cohen during an episode of Watch What Happens Live that she "tried really hard" and was "really patient" when Amelia and Disick were together. |
5 Things to Know About Twitter's Former CEO Jack Dorsey Posted: 29 Nov 2021 12:25 PM PST A new chapter for Twitter. Jack Dorsey, the cofounder of the company, announced his resignation from the social media giant on Monday, November 29. The Missouri native, 45, had been with the company on and off since its inception in 2006, beginning his most recent stint as CEO in 2015. “Not sure anyone has heard but,” Dorsey tweeted on Monday. “I resigned from Twitter.” The tech entrepreneur also shared his resignation letter with his nearly 6 million followers. “After almost 16 years of having a role at our company … from co-founder to CEO to Chair to Exec Chair to interim-CEO to CEO … I decided it’s finally time for me to leave,” he wrote. “Why? … There are 3 reasons I believe now is the right time.” The philanthropist went on to say that he felt comforatble leaving the business in the hands of Parag Agrawal, who will replace him, and was confident in board chair Bret Taylor‘s leadership. He also thanked all of the other employees at Twitter, saying that their “ambition and potential” has made the company what it is today. Though Twitter has a considerably smaller user base than Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms, the company has been at the center of several high-profile controversies over the past several years. Last year, Twitter dealt with a serious hack that compromised the accounts of world leaders and business titans, including President Joe Biden, former President Barack Obama, Elon Musk and Bill Gates. “Tough day for us at Twitter,” Dorsey tweeted in July 2020 in response to the security breach. “We all feel terrible this happened.” The company faced more drama earlier this year after permanently banning former President Donald Trump from the platform after the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol. Though the news angered Trump, 75, and his supporters, other critics thought the move came too late. After the ban, Dorsey said that he felt Twitter had made the “right decision,” adding that he was worried about the “precedent” it set. “Offline harm as a result of online speech is demonstrably real, and what drives our policy and enforcement above all,” he tweeted in January. “That said, having to ban an account has real and significant ramifications. While there are clear and obvious exceptions, I feel a ban is a failure of ours ultimately to promote healthy conversation.” According to The New York Times, however, Dorsey was not the person who made the call about banning Trump’s account — the decision was made by one of his employees because the then-CEO was away visiting French Polynesia. At the time, some critics interpreted this as a sign that Dorsey was not fully present in his role at Twitter. Keep scrolling for more details on Dorsey: ![]() Inspired by the popularity of LiveJournal and AOL Instant Messenger, Dorsey cofounded Twitter with Biz Stone and Evan Williams in 2006. Just two years later, however, Dorsey was fired as CEO but stayed on with the company as chairman. He returned to the CEO job in 2015. Thaddaeus McAdams/Shutterstock ![]() In addition to cofounding Twitter, Dorsey cocreated Square, the mobile payments app, in May 2010. He remains the chairman and CEO of that company. Shutterstock ![]() Dorsey attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology for two years before transferring to New York University in 1997. He completed two years there, but he dropped out one semester before graduating. Jeff Gilbert/Shutterstock ![]() According to Forbes, the tech whiz is worth $11.9 billion as of 2021. In May, he donated $15 million to COVID-19 relief efforts in India, and in 2019, he donated $10 million to Boston University's Center for Antiracist Research. He has also donated money to Missouri public schools and other environmentally-focused projects. ‘Selling Sunset' Timeline: What to Know About Emma, Peter, Christine Drama Posted: 29 Nov 2021 12:17 PM PST A love triangle at The Oppenheim Group! Peter Cornell caused quite the stir on season 4 of Selling Sunset — without even appearing on screen. Emma Hernan joined the Netflix series for the 2021 season to temporarily take over Christine Quinn's listings amid her maternity leave. (Quinn and husband Christian Richard, whom she wed in 2019, welcomed their son in May.) After hearing the news about Hernan, Quinn got visibly emotional, claiming that the two women dated the same guy — Cornell — at the same time. "I know this happened years and years ago, but this is all coming back to life now because I wasn't aware Mary continued her friendship with Emma after the cheating came out," Quinn said on the real estate show, referring to former bestie Mary Fitzgerald. While Cornell, a fellow agent at The Oppenheim Group, has yet to publicly comment on the drama — and was never named on the Netflix show — Us confirmed on November 28 that he was the guy in question. During an interview with Page Six earlier this month, Quinn admitted that she brought up her past with Cornell "to try to make a good season" of the show. "Part of being on a reality show is you have to talk about things that you wouldn't necessarily even give a s–t about in real life, but that's just the way that it is," the How to Be a Boss Bitch author said. "I was annoyed every single day doing it because it's not something that I would actually talk about. It's not something that I would actually care about." Hernan, for her part, is "unbothered" by Quinn's reaction to her joining the series. "I feel like I handled the situation with grace, and everyone will tell you that back in the day, when all of the interactions were happening, I took the high road time and time and time again," the Emma Leigh & Co. founder told Harper's Bazaar. "Having to relive that was a little bit difficult, but I’m very confident with who I am as a person. And the only other difficult thing would just be the fact that I would never want that situation to overshadow everything that I’ve accomplished in life and how big my heart is." She added that she "had to address" their past, however. "I'm very to the point, and I come with the facts. Everything that you hear that comes out of my mouth is the truth, and you see that on the show," Hernan told the magazine. "And as the audience watches, they’ll connect with that, and they’ll understand what’s going on. I’m very confident about that." Scroll through for more on the drama, including why Hernan and Cornell called off their engagement: ![]() Quinn and Cornell were publicly spotted together in 2015. During season 4 of the Netflix series, she alleged that there was overlap in his relationship with her and Hernan. “My ex-boyfriend was dating this girl at the same time he was dating me,” Quinn said. “I had no idea. I caught him red-handed during the day with her. So we broke up.” Hernan, for her part, described her “not pleasant” encounter with Quinn. “I was leaving the gym with who I thought was my boyfriend and she pulled up with her friend and was like ‘Who the f–k is this?’ and started screaming, ‘This is my boyfriend,’” Hernan claimed. Byron Purvis/AdMedia Newscom/MEGA ![]() "They just grew apart,” a source told Us. “There were no hard feelings, no drama.” Netflix ![]() While Quinn didn’t have many favorable things to say about their mutual ex on season 4 of Selling Sunset, Hernan and Cornell were recently spotted out together in Las Vegas. Hernan’s rep, however, denied that she was dating Cornell again, telling Us, “[Emma’s] very single” and referred to the Sin City spotting as a “work trip.” A source added that Hernan and Cornell have “been friends” since ending their brief engagement. As for Quinn and Hernan, the two costars are “not on speaking terms.” “I don't think anyone is surprised or blames me,” Hernan told Harper’s Bazaar. “At the end of the day, like I said, I always take the high road, and I have for years now, and I will continue to do that.” Netflix |
