Gal Gadot: Lynda Carter's 'Wonder Woman 3' Role Is 'Even Better This Time'

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 04:09 PM PST

Third time’s the charm! Wonder Woman 3 officially has the green light — and Warner Bros. has already revealed some juicy details about the superhero film.

The studio initially announced the third movie in December 2020, just days after Wonder Woman 1984 started streaming on HBO Max. Gal Gadot, who plays the iconic Diana Prince, will collaborate with director Patty Jenkins for the third time.

“We are excited to be able to continue [Wonder Woman’s] story with our real-life Wonder Women – Gal and Patty – who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy,” WB chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement at the time.

It isn’t clear whether this is the final film for Gadot’s Wonder Woman, but the third solo outing will likely tie up any remaining loose ends. “I want to see a third movie, too, to have 'a nice closure,'" Gadot told the “Just for Variety” podcast with Marc Malkin the same month.

Jenkins, who is set to write and direct the third Wonder Woman film, has been toying with a concept for a while. However, the Emmy nominee revealed that she wasn’t ready to commit to the story until the team gets closer to filming.

"I've really hit the pause button. Because the truth is, where that plotline was coming from was our state of being six months ago,” she told Total Film in June 2020. “And so I want to make sure that I'm totally absorbing whatever the result of this [coronavirus] pandemic is.”

The first Wonder Woman was released in June 2017 and took place in 1918 at the height of World War I as the superhero learned about the human world and discovered her gifts. In 2020, the debut of Wonder Woman 1984 revealed that Diana still had much to learn about her powers, including her ability to fly. The third movie, however, is unlikely to take place in the distant past.

“I’m not planning to put it in the past again, because where are you going to go? You have to go forward,” Jenkins told The Hollywood Reporter in January 2019. “It’s definitely a contemporary story. That’s all I can say."

DC Comics fans know that Diana Prince’s superhero alter ego is completely unknown by the public when the events of 2016's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice happen, so the upcoming flick might explain why Wonder Woman seemingly put down her golden lasso.

Release Date
No release date has been announced yet, and with Jenkins busy making a Star Wars movie that's due in December 2023, it seems like Wonder Woman devotees should prepare for a long hiatus. WARNER BROS/Moviestore/Shutterstock
Concluding a Trilogy
Warner Bros. announced that this will "conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy," but fans will have to wait to find out what exactly that means for Gadot and Jenkins. WARNER BROS/Moviestore/Shutterstock
Goodbye, Steve Trevor
Diana was temporarily reunited with her true love, played by Chris Pine, in the second film. However, the ending hinted that she could finally move on and find love again, so don't expect Steve to make yet another return from the dead. "I think Steve's done," Pine told Entertainment Tonight in 2019 after he was announced as part of the sequel’s cast. "I think Steve's done his bit." WARNER BROS/Moviestore/Shutterstock
Lynda Carter Is Back
The original Wonder Woman actress had a cameo in the 2020 sequel as Asteria, but she'll get a bigger role when she returns in the third film. "Who would have thought in my life — at this time in my life — that this gift would just present itself to me, and that's so cool," Carter said at DC Fandome in October 2021. "And that's what I'm hoping for all of the fans of Wonder Woman ... to know that your life is full of surprises, and the Wonder Woman in you is alive and well." Gadot told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2021 that Asteria's arc is "even better this time around."  John Angelillo/UPI/Shutterstock
Cheetah Could Return
Kristen Wiig's villainous character was intentionally given an open ending. “I have my reasons for making it ambiguous, and I think it’s not clear what her point of view [is] on everything that just happened,” Jenkins told Den of Geek in December 2020. “I love that we wrap up Max Lord’s point of view, and that you see the culmination of that story line, I think is so important. But the truth is there may or may not be more to come [for Barbara].” WARNER BROS/Moviestore/Shutterstock
A Contemporary Setting
Jenkins isn’t quite sure what year the film will be set in yet. “Where we put it and how that gets figured out, I haven't totally nailed down,” she told THR in 2019. WARNER BROS/Moviestore/Shutterstock
Excited to Suit Up Again
Gadot teased her excitement to return to the role during an October 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “The most amazing thing, other than the fact that I get to wear the Wonder Woman costume again and get inside her boots, is the fact that I can work with my amazing collaborators and work with Patty Jenkins again and I'm super, super grateful for that," she told the outlet.  WARNER BROS/Moviestore/Shutterstock

Red Carpet Romance! Paul Mescal, Phoebe Bridgers Seem to Confirm Relationship

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 03:00 PM PST

Always right there! After sparking dating speculation, Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers have seemingly gone public with their romance as they cheerily posed on the red carpet together.

The Normal People star, 25, and the "Moon Song" songstress, 27, attended the LACMA Art+Film Gala together, even posing together on the red carpet on Saturday, November 6.

Bridgers stepped out in style at Los Angeles festivities wearing a red plaid skirt, ivory lace blouse and bright red lipstick. Mescal, for her part, looked dapper in a black tuxedo and matching bowtie as he grinned for the cameras.

While their LACMA appearance marked the first public outing for the pair, they've previously gotten cozy off-duty, most recently in several of Ziwe's behind-the-scenes snaps from her Halloween party. In an Instagram gallery posted earlier this week, the 29-year-old comedian shared a group snap where Mescal held the musician in a sweet embrace.

The "Garden Song" performer also wished the Emmy nominee a happy birthday via Instagram Story in February, writing, "Happy birthday pizza boy @paulmescal." Mescal, for his part, then reposted her pic onto his page, replying, "Mmmmmm." (Mescal has since deleted his account.)

While the pair have previously remained coy about their romantic status, eagle-eyed fans have suspected the pair were involved for nearly one year after they were spotted together multiple times. Then, Bridgers upped the ante by casting the Ireland native in her "Savior Complex" music video in December 2020.

"I got a little pitter-patter in my heart when I saw [he followed my Instagram page]," she told NME magazine in June 2020, referring to Mescal as "the cute boy."

The Deceived alum, for his part, previously admitted in November 2020 that he had a secret girlfriend. While he didn't name her at the time, he called her support and guidance a "lifesaver."

"To have someone to lean on through such a mad, mad time has been invaluable," the History of Sound star told British GQ at the time. "Really, I don't know where I'd be without her."

Before his 2020 relationship, Mescal had been embracing the single life and dating scene in London.

"I'm really looking forward to dating," the God's Creatures actor revealed on the "I'm Grand Mam" podcast in May 2020. "I'm trying not to think of it being weird because, I think, we've been in lockdown for f—king months and I've had no opportunity to meet somebody new or being remotely intimate with anybody. I'm at the point now where I want to get married and settle down. You know that hysterical thing? If lockdown ever happens again, I'm making sure I'm married."

Marathon Buddies! Tayshia Adams Is ‘Grateful’ for Fiance Zac Clark’s Support

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 01:50 PM PST

Coming up roses! Tayshia Adams' journey on season 16 of The Bachelorette was unconventional from the start, but after meeting Zac Clark her love story became complete.

The California native stepped in as the lead on the ABC dating series after Clare Crawley found her person in suitor Dale Moss two weeks into filming. As her adventure began in November 2020, Adams stepped into the limelight meeting some of the men who previously competed for Crawley’s heart and a few new men.

Clark, who hails from New Jersey, was one of the contestants who stuck around after the hairstylist left the show, and as luck would have it, his instant connection with Adams proved to be the winning formula.

The pair hit it off during the former phlebotomist's first group date, although he did not earn the first impression rose. By the time they made it to their first one-on-one date — which featured the pair pretending to be married while taking photos — the two's connection was obvious to viewers.

Both the addiction specialist and Adams have been married before — her to Josh Bourelle and him to Jennifer Stanley- George — and bonded over their past relationships. When Clark revealed he is nine years drug-free after struggling with addiction and recovery after taking pain medication following a surgery to remove a brain tumor, the duo grew even closer.

After a few ups and downs on Adams’ end during the rest of the season, she ultimately chose Clark as her last man standing.

"There was one point in my life when I thought I would never get married, because of all the pain and the heartbreak I had been through, and I hit absolute rock bottom. And I know that I told you that I love you, but  … it's more than that," she told him during the show's finale on December 22, 2020. "It's this wild, wild love that I have tried to come up with so many reasons to not believe, and you have truly just made me believe there doesn't need to be flaws, and that I deserve a love with a man that won't run away. You've truly woken up my heart, and yes, it is real. I feel it too."

Clark was quick to return the sentiment and asked Adams to marry him.

"I can't picture another day, another moment without you in my life," he said. "And if you'll let me, I'm going to choose you right now. I'm going to choose you tomorrow morning. I'm going to choose you next week and next year. I'm going to choose you forever, because I love you."

Adams said yes, replying, "You're mine!"

Scroll down to relive Adams and Clark’s epic love story from the beginning until now.

First Meeting
The pair met on the November 10, 2020, episode of The Bachelorette. While on her first group date, Adams hit it off with two men, one of whom was Clark. She learned more about during the afterparty portion of the date. ABC/Craig Sjodin
One-on-One Magic
The couple’s first one-on-one date (which aired on December 1, 2020) seemingly foreshadowed their eventual engagement. The pair took wedding photos on their intimate afternoon, with Clark wearing numerous suits and Adams dressing up in ballgowns fit for a bride. The addiction specialist also opened up about his past with drugs during the date, and his openness earned him a rose. ABC/Craig Sjodin
Hometown Hero
Clark swept Adams off her feet with his hometown date, which aired on December 15, 2020. He showed her what a day in New York City would be like for the two of them after she told him she had considered moving there. The pair even drove around in a cardboard taxi at the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs, California. ABC/Craig Sjodin
Swoon-Worthy Proposal
Although the couple had a rocky final date, as Adams' fears about getting married again set in, she ultimately gave Clark the final rose of the season and said yes to his proposal during the December 22, 2020, episode. “The other night when we were talking, you spoke about this idea of someone choosing you, and I can’t picture another day, another moment without you in my life,” he said after getting down on one knee. “And if you’ll let me, I’m going to choose you right now. I’m going to choose you tomorrow morning. I’m going to choose you next week and next year. I’m going to choose you forever, because I love you.” ABC/Craig Sjodin
Family's Stamp of Approval
During the show’s finale, Adams' dad expressed concerns for her getting engaged again after such a whirlwind romance, but she told Us Weekly exclusively that her dad’s tough love was the clarity she needed to say yes to Clark. “My dad, he always means, obviously, the best and he wants me just to be happy,” she told Us in December 2020. “And I feel like I just figured out what I wanted to do after that conversation. … I knew what I had to do after talking to him just because I want my family and the person I choose [to have] beside me to get along and I want it all just to work out.” Clark, for his part, is also a fan of his future in-laws, telling Us, “They’re the best of all time. We had an opportunity to hang a little bit with them last night during the finale. And I’m just so grateful that they’re a part of my life. And it’s no mistake that Tayshia is a byproduct of that family because they’re just really good people.” ABC/Craig Sjodin
Living Bicoastal
“I’m going to be bicoastal,” the former phlebotomist told Us in December 2020. “I’ll have my place [in California] and I’m looking forward to spending time in New York with him and just getting used to being bicoastal.” ABC/Craig Sjodin
New York Christmas
Adams told Us in December 2020 that the couple were going to be spending the holidays in New York, saying it is “going to be amazing.” The pair teased their trip via their Instagram Stories on December 23, before she tweeted on Christmas Eve, “NYC here we come!” Courtesy Tayshia Adams/Instagram
Moving In
Adams gushed about how “surreal” it was to be able to “just be out in the open” with Clark in NYC in December 2020. She added, however, that his place needs a woman’s touch. "We have to kind of get some furniture,” she said via Instagram Stories. "We have to spruce up the place. It's definitely a bachelor pad here.” Courtesy Tayshia Adams/Instagram
Sweetest Surprise

Wedding Bells
Clark told Us in April 2021 that he and Adams had begun preparing for their nuptials. “Obviously, there’s wedding plans. There are plans to get married, but it’s been a wild start to the year,” he teased, adding that they did not have a date set at the moment but would eventually. Elsewhere in the interview, he admitted the pair struggled to maintain their relationship after the show ended. “We’re both passionate, driven, busy human beings. And with that, we need to remind ourselves to work each other into it and we’ve done [that],” he explained. “So yeah, a couple months after, there was some ups and downs, of course, and, like, well-documented, but at the end of the day, it’s all good right now.” ABC/Craig Sjodin
No Hard Feelings
Fans speculated that Adams and Clark had called off their engagement after his mom unfollowed his fiancée on Instagram. He revealed during an April 2021 appearance on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast that his mother “probably did it accidentally” while trying to decrease ads for Adams’ podcast. “It’s always great to be loved, but at the end of the day we are in a relationship with each other, so all that noise and all that drama doesn’t really matter,” he said. After the duo began posting together less on their social platforms, Adams addressed the issue. “It’s so funny because people do have lives outside of social media,” she exclusively told Us in June 2021. “And it’s so amazing to have the love and support of Bachelor Nation. Because to be honest with you, we go through it kind of together when we’re all watching the show. However, you have to realize that it’s a real relationship behind the scenes.” Courtesy of Tayshia Adams/Instagram
Date Night
Clark shared an Instagram photo of himself and Adams at a basketball game with friends in June 2021. “NOTHING LEFT TO DO BUT TRUST THE PROCESS,” he wrote. “Thank you @sixers for having us out. Parade hunting SZN is still open.” Courtesy of Zac Clark/Instagram
Sweet Memories
“Shooters shoot, glad I shot,” Clark wrote via Twitter in July 2021, reflecting on how he began his Bachelorette journey one year prior. “Met some incredible humans and learned a lot about life/myself. Grateful.” Courtesy Zac Clark/Instagram
Back Together
After filming season 18 of The Bachelorette, the “Click Bait” podcast host reunited with her man in New York City to run the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile race in September 2021. That same month, Clark opened up to Us about maintaining their romance while Adams is away. “In terms of long-distance, FaceTime is a valuable tool and phone calls and just trying to be thoughtful, like, little notes and little gifts,” he told Us. “Little things go a long way when you’re spending this much time away from someone, but we’re going to get to spend a New York City fall together, which I am really excited about. I have a feeling she’s going to like it.” He added that the pair have “no date yet” for their nuptials. “It has been a busy year for both of us. That time we’re going to get here very, very shortly — I can’t wait. I mean, [she’s] coming here this week. We’re going to get to spend some time together and reunite. I’m sure that conversation will start to gain some traction here in the near future,” he said on September 8. NYRR
Red Carpet Debut
Nine months after the reality show personalities got engaged on the ABC franchise, the pair stepped out for their first joint red carpet appearance during the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. “I’m so excited Zac and I are on our way to Vegas this weekend because I’m presenting at the iHeart festival,” the Bachelorette cohost said via Instagram Story on September 17. Paris Getaway
Adams took to her Instagram Stories in October 2021 to share snaps from their romantic trip to France. “Guys, I woke up in Paris,” she wrote. “I’m so happy.” Throughout the vacay, she and Zac enjoyed the sights, ate some crepes and saw the art at the Louvre. Courtesy of Tayshia Adams/Instagram

Their friendship continued long after the cameras stopped rolling, despite their onscreen alter-egos' rivalry in the trilogy. "We just have a connection and she's so awesome and one of my best friends," Tisdale told Us Weekly exclusively in August 2019. "What I love about her is that she's so talented, and I think what we share is that we're really grounded people and I think that that's important, especially with what we do, is to stay grounded."

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio
It wasn’t until 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that this duo acted alongside one another, but the bromance it created is already stuff movies are made of. During Pitt’s numerous awards show acceptance speeches in 2020, he showed how much he loves DiCaprio. “I also have to thank my partner in crime, LDC,” the Fight Club star said at the Golden Globes when accepting the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. “He’s an all-star, he’s a gent. They've Got This! Bachelor Nation Stars Run 2021 NYC Marathon

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 01:41 PM PST

Race day! After months and months of training, runners have descended upon New York City to tackle the daunting 26.2-mile 2021 NYC Marathon, including several Bachelor Nation alumni.

Former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams has been documenting her training process via social media, excited about running her first-ever marathon.

"I will admit, training for this has been tough and far from what I imagined, but that's life, right?," the Bachelor in Paradise alum wrote via Instagram in November 2021. "All excuses aside I'm still proud of myself for showing up when I could. Whether it would be running bright n early or late at night, right after getting off an 8 hr flight, in the rain, on a hotel treadmill while traveling for work, or after filming all night long! No matter the condition or situation, I was committed to getting it done however or wherever I could, and because of that I can go into Sunday's race with pride."

She continued in her post, “My marathon time isn't going to be groundbreaking and I'm pretty sure I'll be cursing my way through some of it haha, but at the end of the day this isn't about me. I'm doing this for something bigger, and I can't thank you enough for all the support you guys have given me! … YOU are part of the reason that I am motivated and inspired to work harder, keep showing up, and cross that finish line! It's an honor running for team World Vision. Every step, every mile on Sunday, will be a representation of a higher purpose! For every child, life in all its fullness. Thank you for changing the world with me!"

Adams was running in support of World Vision, a Christian charity specializing in humanitarian aid.

The Bachelorette cohost is not the only series alum to tackle the challenging race, including her fiancé Zac Clark, who's on his eighth marathon. (The couple both finished with a time of 4:40:24.)

One month earlier, the Release Recovery founder even ran the London Marathon in support of his organization.

"Number seven was special in so many ways," Clark wrote via Instagram in October 2021. "It was the first time flying the @releaserecoveryfoundation flag in a marathon, we had several PRs, the weather was great and London throws an awesome party but the true highlight was this team right here. These guys trained [their] asses off, raised a s—t load of money and carried a lot of personal expenses just to support this cause that means so much to me and so many others. You all are legends and words will never do my gratitude justice. You saved lives today. We are just getting started……KEEP GOING."

Tyler Cameron, for his part, has also been gearing up to train for the 50th annual marathon. Cameron, who raised funds for his Andrea Cameron Foundation, eventually finished with a time of 5:02:16.

"It's Marathon Sunday, it's Marathon Sunday, I need you to wake up," the You Deserve Better author enthusiastically woke up roommate Matt James — who finished with a time of 5:02:23 — before the race began early on Sunday via an Instagram Story clip. "We've got to leave in 10 minutes."

The North Carolina native ran in support of his ABC Food Tours and the Andrea Cameron Foundation, which the former contractor founded following his mother's death.

Laughing together. Ryan Reynolds shared what would’ve been a sweet snap of he and his wife, Blake Lively, on a hike — if he hadn’t cut out most of her face.

“I recommend a walk in the woods,” the Red Notice star, 45, captioned the Instagram Story on Saturday, November 5.

The snap was a selfie taken by the Gossip Girl alum, 34. Reynolds was in full view, looking casual in a puffer vest and baseball cap. Lively, however, was cut off, which only one eye showing. The Deadpool actor pointed out, however, that he left her “earrings in frame.”

The Betty Buzz founder reposted the snap to her own Story, revealing that she cares far more about showing off her accessory game than her whole face. “The best Guy,” she captioned the snap and added a gif of Princess Anna from Frozen looking very excited.

The funny duo, who married in 2012, previously had fans laughing when Lively made Reynolds repost a sweet photo of them together in August. They were celebrating the 10th anniversary of their first date when the Free Guy star cropped out her stylish accessories.

"Posting this again because I cut out my wife's cute earrings. She trained me better than this," he wrote in a caption placed over his own face at the time. "Sorry if I let anyone down."

It seems her husband learned his lesson.

The joking post comes just after Reynolds praised his wife at the WSJ Magazine‘s 2021 Innovator Awards on Monday, November 1.

"I want to thank my wife, Blake," the Aviation Gin owner told the audience as he accepted the honor. "She is a genius. She's a renaissance woman. And she pushes me in ways I never imagined I'd be pushed."

The couple share daughters James, 6, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2.

Reynolds recently announced that he was taking a short break from acting to spend more time parenting. "Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making," Reynolds wrote via Instagram in October after wrapping his holiday film Spirited. "I'm gonna miss every second [of] working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I've been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both."

He and Lively are known to trade off time working so one of them can always be with their family.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' Relationship Timeline

These days, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are royalty as far as Hollywood couples go, but the Detective Pikachu star and the Age of Adaline actress were once just two friends out on a double date — with other people!

As Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM show in February 2016: “We went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl — and that was, like, the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across."

Still, the Critics' Choice winner said he was glad that the two started off as "buddies." "I remember it was funny, because for about a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and all that stuff, we were both single," he said of their shared 2010 film. "I think the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends."

It's certainly worked out for the duo. Not only did they go to tie the knot in September 2012, but they have since welcomed three children together.

The pair share daughters James and Inez — born in 2015 and 2016, respectively — and a third daughter, born in the summer of 2019. Us Weekly broke the news of baby No. 3’s arrival in October 2019.

Nearly a year later, Taylor Swift released "Betty" on her Folklore album, sparking speculation that the couple named their youngest daughter Betty — she also sang about Inez and James on the track. In August 2020, the musician confirmed that she "named all the characters in this story after my friends' kids."

Ahead of becoming a family of five, Reynolds joked about the couple's relationship trajectory.

"One of the most common things in the world is making out, having a couple of drinks, and then doing it, and then having a baby. I was perfectly sober for this one, though. I gotta say," Reynolds told EW in his 2016 interview, after the pair’s second child was born. "It's amazing."

As for the Shallows star, she told Vogue in August 2014: "Everything we do in life, we do together. If I’m working on a movie, he helps me with my character; I do the same with him."

They also famously troll one another on social media: Lively razzes Reynolds about his parenting skills, while he teases her cooking abilities, ranking them beneath pal Jake Gyllenhaal's.

He shared a similar sentiment while commenting on an Instagram photo from Humans of New York in May 2017: “She always responds with empathy,” he wrote of his wife. “She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She’ll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she’s made me a more empathetic person. The 6 Underground actor gave fans insight into the early days of his romance with Lively during an appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast. “We were friends and buddies, and about a year and a half later, we actually went out on a double date. But we were dating separate people,” Reynolds explained. “We hung out and we always kind of kept in touch sort of casually and, next thing you know, she was going to Boston. I was going to Boston and I said, ‘I’ll ride with you.’ … I was just begging her to sleep with me.” The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard star called their relationship something “out of a fairy tale,” noting things moved quickly between them. “A week later I was like, ‘We should buy a house together.’ And we did,” he continued. “We’ve been together almost 10 years. That’s, like, 45 years in Hollywood terms.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

Princess Diana Never Wanted to ‘Give Up’ on Her Marriage to Prince Charles

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 10:00 AM PST

Not her choice? Princess Diana became a household name when she married Prince Charles in July 1981, but the end of their marriage brought her even more attention.

Princess Diana Through the Years

"I think that even after the separation in 1992, they still carried on doing engagements. I don’t think Diana ever really wanted to truly give up," royal expert Emma Cooper exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, November 2. "Actually, it was the queen in the end [that] said, 'You’re separated. You need to get divorced.' And I think she never, ever — did she really want to do that? Look, I don’t know. It feels to me from the evidence of all the testimony that we had in her own words, that it was hard for her."

Cooper explored Diana's life in the spotlight while working as an executive producer on the six-part CNN original docuseries Diana. She learned some fascinating details about the late princess' relationship with Charles, 72, while researching her.

"On the day Diana’s divorce papers came through, she sat there on her own in Kensington Palace, and she told [royal correspondent Jennie Bond] that the one thing she wanted to do was just pick up the phone and speak to Charles and I just thought, 'Wow,'" Cooper told Us. "Then she said, 'Oh, but I couldn’t because I know he’d just think I was silly again.' And I thought, 'That’s somebody who is not walking out of a marriage without feeling emotion.' And actually, on that day, she was also wearing her wedding ring. She was photographed with her wedding ring on. So, I don’t think she ran out of that marriage."

Diana and Charles tied the knot with the world watching, and they soon welcomed sons Prince William and Prince Harry in June 1982 and September 1984, respectively. However, their marriage broke down, and they separated in 1992 and finalized their divorce in August 1996.

The Prince of Wales' rekindled relationship with ex Camilla Parker-Bowles — whom he went on to wed in April 2005 — during his marriage to Diana had major consequences.

"[Diana] knew all of this detail about Charles and Camilla, and she was constantly told by the people around [her] that she was crazy, that she was obsessed," Cooper said. "It’s sort of language that has been used around women for centuries, which is, 'You’re hysterical, you’re seeing things, you’re obsessed. There’s nothing in this, let it go.' Well, she was right. … She was aware of everything, and yet she was constantly told that what she was seeing, she was not really seeing."

The documentarian pointed out that despite the obstacles in Diana's romantic relationship with Charles, the two found a way to coparent. "It’s clear that he’s a good father, and it’s clear that they parented very well," she noted. "You can tell from their sons now — they’re marvelous, balanced men in spite of all the trauma that they’ve been through, so it would appear to us. … Charles and Diana had no problems bringing up their children together, whether they were together or apart, and you can see in the sort of deep love that their sons have for both of them."

Cooper "always wanted the opportunity to make a docuseries about" Diana, who died in August 1997 at age 36 following a car accident.

"I really did feel that she’s the blueprint for a modern woman because she was not allowed to do many things that we are now allowed to do. She wasn’t allowed to be vulnerable. She wasn’t allowed to show her emotion in public," she told Us. "I kind of thought this was absolutely fascinating that she was frequently chastised for showing her complexity as a woman when that’s just being a woman. And we are now as women kind of just about allowed to show off vulnerability. … It was an amazing opportunity, over the hours of a docuseries, to be able to look at her and look at her story and listen to her words from a very modern female perspective."

Diana airs on CNN Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.

'OTH' Forever! Jana Kramer Reunites With Former Costar Stephen Colletti

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 09:29 AM PST

Back to Carolina! While it's been nine years since One Tree Hill aired its final episode on the CW, the show's stars have remained pals, even reuniting from time to time.

Jana Kramer joined forces with several of her former OTH costars, including Stephen Colletti, Kate Voegele, Austin Nichols and Shantel VanSanten, at the "A Weekend in Tree Hill 3" fundraiser in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Friday, November 5.

"And the saga continues 😂😂," the "I Got the Boy" songstress, 37, captioned an Instagram snap with the Laguna Beach alum, 35, and Voegele, 34. "Who do you think chase should have picked ?"

In the snap, the two ladies — who both sang at the benefit concert per social media footage — jokingly played tug-of-war with Colletti.

Kramer's playful cast reunion with the California native came on the heels of her previous drama with Kristin Cavallari, who famously was involved in a dramatic love triangle with the Everyone Is Doing Great actor on their MTV reality show. Cavallari, for her part, later wed Jay Cutler in 2013 before calling it quits in April 2020.

Following his split from the Very Cavallari alum, 34, the former NFL athlete, 38, notably went on a few dates with the Michigan native.

"Kristin wasn't jealous to begin with," a source previously told Us Weekly in October 2021 after photos of Cutler and Kramer were shared online, noting that the retired football player was the one to break it off with the Soccer Mom Madam star.

“The real reason [they broke up] is because he didn't succeed at making Kristin jealous," the source added at the time. "He took Jana to the most public places for their dates, knowing they would be photographed together and would get attention from being out in Nashville, but it never worked."

The "Voices" singer, for her part, split from ex-husband Mike Caussin — with whom she shares daughter Jolie, 5, and son Jace, 2 — earlier this year. The exes, who briefly uncoupled in 2016 amid cheating allegations on the 34-year-old former athlete's part, finalized their divorce in July after previously reconciling. Following the breakup, Kramer was briefly linked with the "Uncut" podcast host in September after they were spotted together in Nashville.

At the time, eagle-eyed fans thought one of the Hills alum's September Instagram snaps seemingly shaded Kramer's budding friendship with Cutler. Cavallari shared a poolside selfie with the speculative caption, “Sorry I haven't responded to you," which was posted days after Us reported that the cookbook author wasn't enthused to hear about the budding romance between her one-time friend and former partner.

Following the alleged drama between the Uncommon James founder and the Hallmark movie actress, Kramer exclusively told Us in September that she had "respect for everyone."

Elsewhere during the Friday night event, Kramer shared additional photos via Instagram and Instagram Story with her other former CW costars.

"Plot twist. 'Brooke got the boy….Alex got the man,' she captioned a prom-pose style photoshoot with the Holiday in the Sun actor, 41. "Julian and Alex are now together years later 🤣. What do the cool kids say? Do y'all ship this?"

The longtime group of friends even took whiskey shots ahead of the musical performances, in which both Nichols and VanSanten, 36, surprised the Christmas in Mississippi actress.

Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival Incident: Stars Pay Tribute

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 07:45 AM PST

Paying tribute. After the fatal tragedy at Travis Scott's 2021 Astroworld Festival, at least eight attendees died — and more injured — following a crowd surge.

Amid the ongoing investigation into the Friday, November 5, incident, several of the music festival's performers and attendees have shared their support for the victims and their loved ones.

"I just want to send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night," the "Sicko Mode" rapper, 30, tearfully explained in a series of Instagram Story videos on Saturday, November 6. "You know, my fans, like, really mean the world to me and I always just really want to leave them with a positive experience and any time I can make out, you know, anything that's going on, I'd just stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need. I could just never imagine the severity of the situation."

The Texas native continued in his post, "Everybody, continue to keep your prayers. I mean, I'm honestly just devastated and I could never imagine anything like this happening."

Scott's partner, Kylie Jenner, attended her beau's set shortly before the incident occurred, sharing concert footage via Instagram Story at the time. The pregnant Kylie Cosmetics founder, 24, also took to the social media platform to share her prayers for Astroworld attendees who were impacted by the events.

"Travis and I are broken and devastated," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum wrote in a statement on Sunday, November 7. "My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way [sic] by yesterday's events. And also for Travis, who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. … I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted."

During the "Out West" performer's set at Houston's NRG Park, the crowd rushed the stage, causing a mass accident.

"This is a tragic night," Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said during a news conference on Saturday. "We know that we had at least at least eight confirmed fatalities tonight and we had scores of individuals that were injured here in this event."

Peña explained at the time that around 9:00 p.m. the crowd had "began to compress toward the front of the stage," causing panic and injuries.

"At the start of the mass casualty incident, when it was triggered … We transferred 17 patients to the hospital," Peña said. "We won't know the cause of death of the eight that were confirmed until the medical examiner has completed his investigation, but we are in the process — Houston Police Department — is sending units to the hospitals to identify these patients."

During the show, the "Escape Plan" crooner had paused his performance multiple times to ask what was going on.

"He asked for everybody in the area to go help them and bring them to the front," an insider told Us Weekly. "As soon as they were made aware of what was happening, they ended the performance in the interest of public safety."

Astroworld Festival, which was scheduled to be a two-night event, canceled its Saturday lineup amid the ongoing investigation.

"Our hearts are with the Astroworld Festival family tonight — especially those we lost and their loved ones," a social media statement via the event's official Twitter page read. "We are focused on supporting local officials however we can. As authorities mentioned in their press conference earlier, they are looking into the series of cardiac arrests that took place. Thank you to our partners at the Houston Police Department, Fire Department and NRG Park for their response and support."

Everybody, continue to keep your prayers. I mean, I’m honestly just devastated and I could never imagine anything like this happening. I’m going to do everything I can to keep you guys updated and just keep you guys informed on what’s going on. Love you all.” Courtesy of Travis Scott/Instagram (2)

Soleil Moon Frye: A Day in My Life

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 06:00 AM PST

Striking a balance. Soleil Moon Frye has been on the go since she got her start as a child actor, so over the years, she has figured out how to manage her time.

The actress, 45, was cast as the titular character on the NBC sitcom Punky Brewster when she was just 7 years old. She starred on the series from 1984 to 1988 and reprised her role for the 2021 revival, which aired on Peacock for one season.

After the original Punky Brewster wrapped, Frye directed her first film, 1998's Wild Horses, landed a gig on Sabrina the Teenage Witch from 2000 to 2003 and ventured into voice work.

The California native also became a mother. She shares daughters Poet, 16, and Jagger, 13, and sons Lyric, 7, and Story, 5, with Jason Goldberg, whom she split from in 2020 after 22 years of marriage.

Frye opened up in June 2019 about the importance of self-care amid her hectic schedule. "So often we forget about just taking time for ourselves," she exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. "So that has been kind of a big thing for me this year, having that one-on-one time where I can go have dinner with a friend and catch up, or a hike, things like that. Little things for [myself]."

She added: "It's all about that self-love. I think as we get older, it's sometimes hard to remember to take that time because it's all about the kids, picking them up, and dropping them off, making sure that they do their homework, making sure they're fed."

Frye connected with fellow moms too by being real about her difficult days on social media. "It just made me feel not so alone," she told Us in March 2018. "I was struggling with opening the stroller. I thought I was going to know how to do all those things. I wasn't prepared for that. And it was great to discover, through social media, that I was not alone, and there were other messy parents. There were other parents that were failing and having the same experiences, and I wasn't on this journey solo."

The former child star eventually figured out how to cut herself some slack. "It's so easy to feel like the weight of the world is on you and it's so easy to feel judged by others," she said. "Each circumstance is so different and every baby is so different, every personality. Just don't be too hard on yourself."

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline: The Way They Were

Posted: 07 Nov 2021 05:30 AM PST

Alexa, play "Chaotic" by Britney Spears? It's been 15 years since the pop princess filed to end her marriage to Kevin Federline on November 7, 2006.

The "Toxic" songstress met Federline in 2004 — the same year she was briefly married to childhood friend Jason Alexander for 55 hours.

"I met her at a club in Hollywood, Joseph's. Our eyes met and that was it. We just hit it off right away," the dancer recalled in 2008. "I was madly in love with her. Everything just seemed so right. I didn't see it as too fast or too slow."

Spears began documenting her romance with Federline via a handheld camera, later selling the footage to UPN. Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, which aired five episodes in 2005, included their surprise September 2004 nuptials. (Their union became legal on October 6, 2004, when they obtained their marriage license.)

"I think my mom was dumbfounded," the singer admitted on the reality show, referring to mom Lynne. "She couldn't believe what was going on, and when she realized it, she was so cute. She didn't know what to say."

Spears added, "It wasn't the big, traditional wedding. It was cool and it was nice and special and small, and I liked it a lot."

The twosome didn't waste much time starting a family, confirming the Grammy winner's pregnancy in April 2005.

"A lot of people think you should wait till you’re older to have kids. I’ve had a career since I was 16, have traveled around the world and back, and even kissed Madonna!" Spears wrote on her website shortly after her nuptials. "The only thing I haven’t done is experience the closest thing to God, and that’s having a baby. I can’t wait!”

Spears gave birth to son Sean Preston in September 2005. “We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our son,” the pair said at the time. “Everyone is happy, healthy and doing wonderful. Thank you all for your love and well wishes!”

Less than one year later, she announced that she was pregnant again.

“Don’t worry Dave, it’s not yours,” Spears joked on the Late Show with David Letterman in May 2006.

The pair welcomed son Jayden Federline in September 2006. Two months later, it was over for Spears and Federline, citing irreconcilable differences. They finalized their divorce in July 2007.

Scroll through for a closer look at Spears and Federline's former romance:

Their Meet Cute
Spears compared meeting Federline at the club to being pulled by a magnet. After spending the week together, she brought him on her European tour. Shutterstock
Thought She Found The One
“It was really beautiful and romantic and special between us,” Spears told People magazine in June 2004 after confirming their engagement, referring to Federline as her “prince” after kissing “a bunch of frogs.” She explained: “My other loves were like puppy love. They were like practice for the real thing. This is just deeper.” London Entertainment/Shutterstock
Saying Yes
When Spears proposed to Federline, he said no because he wanted to be the one to pop the question properly. “It wasn’t like a ‘Will you marry me?’ It wasn’t that straightforward,” Federline recalled at the time. “The way she said it was kind of beating around the bush. Still, I was taken by surprise. I thought the guy was supposed to ask the girl. So a couple of minutes went by and then I asked her. I wasn’t really thinking about asking her right away, but I did without reservation. I’d known for a while that she’s The One.” MB Pictures/Shutterstock
Wanting a Simple Life
“I thought I would never say this, but I love not working so much!" Spears wrote on her website after marrying the rapper. "To be a really good mom, I feel your child needs to be your full-time job. I want to raise my kids and share all of those precious moments with them, and not rely on nannies." MB Pictures/Shutterstock
Inside Their Marriage
“I think we both have the sense of wanting to serve the other person. He has that for me, and I have that for him,” Spears said during a joint interview with her then-spouse in August for Interview magazine. He added at the time, “In our relationship we’re equal. … Even though she’s a goddess, now she’s my goddess.” MB Pictures/Shutterstock
How They Fought
“We’re opposites attract,” Federline said days before Spears filed for divorce in November 2006. “If she gets mad and she yells at me, it just turns me on more, ya know?” MEGA
