Molly Shannon, Josh Groban Guest Stars On ‘The Late Late Show’ As James Corden Announces Departure

Thursday night’s The Late Late Show was an unforgettable one. Not only did host, James Corden welcome actress Molly Shannon, and musician Josh Groban as his featured guests but also revealed big news that he will be officially leaving the show.

Corden’s Departure

London-born Corden announced during the CBS late night show that he had just signed on for one more season, and would eventually part ways in spring 2023, as it was a “good time to move on and see what else might be out there.”

The actor/comedian, who began hosting The Late Late Show in 2015, was close to tears when he shared his decision to end what will, at that point, be an eight-season run. 

“When I started this journey, it was always going to be just that. It was going to be a journey, an adventure. I never saw it as my final destination,” he said in his monologue. “I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way. I always want to love making it. And I really think in a year from now, that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there,” he continued. 

In the short stint moving forward, Corden promised that the show, which he said had “changed his life”, will “go out with a bang”, but didn’t give any clues on what he had his sights set on doing next.

Her new memoir and New York Times bestseller ‘Hello Molly!’ just hit shelves earlier this month to unfold a candid and hilarious, yet heartbreaking account of how she overcame a tragic childhood to reach comedic heights. Besides the book, she appeared in three shows this year including her hilarious feature on the ShowTime series, I Love That For You.

What’s New With Josh Groban

For singer-actor Josh Groban, it was his first time back on stage and wearing “pants for the first in a long time” since the pandemic, when he recently performed in what he called a, “love letter to New York.”

Groban however had been busy working on The Miranda Obsession, a new audio series (exclusively on Audible), which premiered on April 28. The You Raise Me Up singer plays Billy Joel’s character in the original drama inspired by the true story of Whitney Walton, aka Miranda Grosvenor, the alter ego of a woman in the 1980s whose enchanting phone calls enticed celebrities, who she had never met, to fall for her. 

Corden told Josh, he too was enticing woman in an pretty unusual way.

Sad Goodbye For Corden

As for Corden’s exit, George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS, in a statement provided to CNN said, “Seven years ago, James Corden came to the U.S. and took television by storm, with huge creative and comedic swings that resonated in a big way with viewers on-air and online.” 

Corden’s show, which is known for popular segments such as “Crosswalk the Musical” and “Carpool Karaoke,” to feature famous stars from Celine Dion, Paul McCartney and Adele to Ariana Grande, has helped propel over a billion YouTube views and drove conversation around the program, despite its sleepy time slot.

“In my two years at CBS, I've had the privilege to see James' creative genius up close and experience his valuable partnership with CBS, both as a performer and a producer," Cheeks added. 

The Gavin & Stacey producer was considered an unlikely pick when he was first named host of The Late Late Show. Corden may have had a huge following back in the UK both on stage and screen, but wasn't widely known by US viewers. Now fans and his CBS family are sad to see him go.

"We wish he could stay longer, but we are very proud he made CBS his American home and that this partnership will extend one more season on The Late Late Show,” Cheeks added. ]]>

Alexandra Daddario Stuns In Cut Out Dress During Fashion Week

Actress Alexandra Daddario flaunted her toned body in a bodycon black cut out dress from Michael Kors during New York Fashion Week.

The 36-year-old was all smiles as she posed by her wall-length window with the Empire State Building shinning at a distance.

Her black dress had a long-sleeve on one hand with an asymmetrical cut-out underneath and a thigh-high slit while the other side featured no sleeves or slits or cutouts.

Back To The Basics

Since the Fashion week ended, Daddario has been back to her casual style sharing her chic nightwear with her 22 million followers. She wore a light blue cotton pajama consisting of loose-fitting shorts and a t-shirt and revealed through the rest of the slideshow that she was on a movie set.

Her phot carousel included billowing tree leaves, a chiming wind bell, her shadow, the movie set set-up, and a fancy green marble hair comb - talk about wholesome content.

Welcoming New Castmate

In her previous post, she revealed the name of the TV series Mayfair Witches she was working on while welcoming her co-star. The story is about a neurosurgeon who finds out she's the heir to a family of witches and must deal with unavoidable supernatural challenges.

She wrote,

"Big welcome to my co-star who will have to listen to me complain about the heat for the next 4 months!!! @tongayichirisa @amc_tv #mayfairwitches."

However, she hasn't made any public complaints about her accommodation. In fact, she appears to enjoy her stay in the Bed and Breakfast per her following posts.

Saying Goodbye To 'The White Lotus'

Earlier in April, Daddario joined the cast of The White Lotus at the Deadline Contenders convention and spoke about the show's future.

Despite Season two following a new set of vacationers in another branch of the resort, Daddario, Sweeney, and other castmates wish it the best.

She attended the event in a Tweed suit featuring a double-breasted blazer and straight-legged pants, styled her black hair in a sleeked back bun, and completed her outfit with black pointed-toe pumps.

Would Daddario Attend The MET Gala?

As a budding face in Hollywood fashion, we suspect the actress will make an appearance at the upcoming MET Gala on Monday, May 2. If she does, she may wear a Michael Kors or Carolina Herrera outfit considering her relationship with those brands.

She wore the latter at the just-concluded Vanity Fair after-party last month, and she looked ethereal, so we can't wait for another show-stopping moment!

Daytime TV legend and comedian Ellen DeGeneres has taken her final bow as the host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. On April 28, Ellen DeGeneres taped the last episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which will air on May 26. She reflected on the moment while sharing a heart-melting message.

Ellen Reflects On The Past Years

Ellen shared the heart-melting message on Instagram, reflecting on the years of hosting the show. "When we started this show in 2003, the iPhone didn't exist. Social media didn't exist. Gay marriage wasn't legal. We watched the world change for the better, sometimes not. But whatever was happening, my goal was for the show to be a place where we could just laugh for an hour."

She ended the message with a special thanks to all her fans. "Being invited into your lives has been the greatest privilege of my life and has brought me incredible joy. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you," she wrote.

Guests like Michelle Obama and Kim Kardashian have taped farewell messages on the show.

Ellen's Instincts Says It's Time

The comedian announced her plan to end the show in May last year, adding that she was following her instincts. "The truth is I always trust my instincts," she had said. "My instincts told me it's time.

As a comedian, I've always understood the importance of timing. In all seriousness, I truly have felt like next season was the right time to end this amazing chapter," The announcement came at a time when the show had faced allegations of a "toxic work environment."

Although the allegations had affected Ellen's image, she insisted that that was not why she decided to end the show.

Hosting Her Own Show

Before hosting her daytime show, The Ellen DeGeneres show, which premiered in 2003, the comedian had faced a series of challenges. Ellen started as a stand-up comedian in her native Louisiana after leaving the University of Orleans one semester into her studies as a communication major.

She gained success performing a stand-up routine on the Tonight Show, appearing on late-night TV, club bookings, theatre appearances, and TV roles before eventually hosting her own daytime talk show.

The show has become her most successful venture, with almost 3,000 episodes and more than 60 Emmy awards. The show made its debut with actress Jennifer Aniston as its first guest. Several games have been introduced into the show, in addition to her dancing her way through the audience at the top of each episode.

Recurring segments have since been broadcasted on different channels all over the world. The show has become one of the longest-running shows in U.S. history.

The model wore a black mono-sleeve minidress with silver embellishments and matching pointed-toe cover stilettos at the Alexander McQueen show. She sleeked her short brown hair back, highlighting her nude makeup and Avant-Garde mismatched earrings.

While one side had studs and ear cuffs, the other featured a long dangling bar. The dress's sweetheart neckline and bustier cinched her waist while its short skirt displayed her long-toned legs.

Off White Show With Her Mother

At the Off-White show, she wore a dramatic mini dress with a yellow round neck t-shirt joined to a balloon skirt and short train. Gerber wore her brown hair in a center part, revealing her extra-long chandelier earrings and carrying a white-framed sunglass.

She paired her outfit with simple strappy sandals showing her long-toned legs and blue nail polish.

Death in the Woods: the National Forest Serial Killer

There are 154 national forests in the United States, covering 294,275 square miles. That's bigger than the entire state of Texas - so it's easy to imagine that these vast swathes of woodland contain their share of deep, dark secrets.

One of those secrets was a series of vicious murders. The killer was 61-year-old Gary Hilton, a strange drifter with a violent temper and a troubling past.

When asked about the remains of his murder victim, Meredith Emerson, Gary Hilton said these chilling words about the body: “The head will be missing.”

Meredith was just one of Hilton's victims, brutally murdered and hidden deep within vast national forests. He was convicted of four slayings, but there may have been many more.

Trying to Murder His Step-Father

Gary Hilton was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1946. When he was very young, his mother Cleo learned that her "husband" William had four other wives in four different towns. When Gary was only two years old, his mother filed for and received an annulment since her marriage had never been valid.

When Cleo relocated to Florida, young Gary seemed to be adjusting well to his new life. However, he struggled in school and had a short attention span and impulse issues (what would likely be diagnosed as ADHD now).

When Gary was 8, his mother re-married Nilo, a man who trained racehorses. The marriage was unstable, and his step-father was verbally abusive. When Gary was 13, he shot Nilo intending to murder him. Nilo survived, and Gary was briefly sent to a psychiatric facility.

He was not further punished, but Cleo was fed up. When Gary was 15, she asked friends to take him off her hands. He lived with the couple for the next two years and took up playing the drums.

He then returned home to Cleo and dropped out of school to play the drums in a club but was fired when they learned he was underage. With no other prospects, he joined the Army. He struggled with alcohol abuse and was removed from the paratrooper program.

In 1967, he claimed to be hearing voices and was believed to be having a schizophrenic break. He received an honorable discharge and was returned to the US.

A Modern-Day Highwayman

Hilton's life began a downward spiral. He spent years committing phone fraud by scamming various companies, pretending to be an agent for charities, and pocketing their donations for himself. He was caught and arrested but pled down to a misdemeanor.

However, the scandal cost him his relationship with his third wife. Aside from the solicitation charges, Hilton was also arrested for drunk driving, carrying a gun without a license, and drug possession.

Eventually, he turned to murder.

Hilton decided to stop working in 2007, having failed at yet another job. He began to live out of his van, traveling around and murdering hapless hikers to steal from them.

His first confirmed victims were killed in the Pisgah National Forest.

Nature-Loving Couple Gone Missing

John and Irene Bryant were a retired couple in their 80s who shared a passion for the outdoors and loved to hike. The gentle elderly couple was no match for the vicious Hilton, who had likely already been killing for several years, as his first suspected victim Judy Smith was murdered in 1997.

Hilton bludgeoned Irene to death and kidnapped John, taking him to various ATMs to rob him before returning to the woods and shooting John in the head. Then Hilton dismembered the bodies to avoid identification.

Headless Horror in the Woods

The Bryants were murdered in October of 2007; in November, Irene's body was found, and it was evident that she'd been murdered. John was still missing. But Hilton wasn't done killing. His next victim was 46-year-old Cheryl Hodges Dunlap, a nurse from Tallahassee. She was noticed missing on December 3, 2007.

Her decapitated body was found in the Apalachicola National Forest on December 16.

The next victim was 24-year-old sales manager Meredith Hope Emerson, who was hiking in Vogel State Park when Hilton found her. When she was reported missing, witnesses described a strange, threatening older man following her, accompanied by his dog. Hilton was known as a disturbed drifter in the area and was immediately suspected.

Awaiting Death Behind Bars

Hilton had forced Meredith to camp with him for several days before finally killing her. On January 5, police found Meredith's missing dog by a dumpster - a dumpster that contained bloody items belonging to the missing girl and a bloody seatbelt.

Two anonymous phone tips alerted police that Hilton was seen giving his van a suspiciously thorough cleaning. He was arrested. His van was missing a seatbelt that matched the one found in the dumpster with Meredith's belongings.

To avoid the death penalty, Hilton confessed. However, he was also found guilty of Cheryl Hodges Dunlap a month later and given the death penalty. Then he was found guilty of the murders of John and Irene Bryant, to which he also confessed.

To this day, this cold-blooded killer sits behind bars, awaiting execution. He has appealed multiple times, but due to the overwhelming evidence of his brutal crimes, every appeal has been denied.

It is uncertain when Hilton will be put to death, but one thing is sure: if executed in prison, his death will be far less painful and horrifying than the deaths of all those missing hikers.

Co-Chairing This Year's MET Gala

Lively's MET GALA looks are always jaw-dropping moments, and the actress hasn't disappointed in three years. Kristen Bell And Dax Shepard Saved Their Marriage With Therapy: Her Dating History

Hollywood celebrity couple Kristen Bell, 41, and Dax Shepard, 47, recently revealed that they went to therapy to save their turbulent marriage. The couple who'd been dating since 2007 married in 2013, but their journey to forever started on a rocky road.

Because of their commitment to each other, they decided to make it work by going to therapy, as revealed in their This Morning interview last week.

Kevin Mann 2002 - 2007

Before dating Shepard and marrying him, the actress dated movie producer Kevin Mann. Bell and Mann had a five-year-long relationship and even engaged each other, but they broke up in early 2007.

At the time of their split, they maintained there wasn't any other person in their lives, although Bell became publicly involved with her now-husband later that year.

Matthew Morrison 1995 - 1996

Bell also dated Glee actor Matthew Morrison in 1995, but the relationship was short-lived and ended in 1996. She revealed that they met in college - at New York University's Tisch School of Arts, where they both studied Musical Theater; however, Morrison dropped out within two years of enrollment. It is not unusual to see celebrity couples fall out of love, and such is the case in the love bubble of American actress/producer Kaley Cuoco and her ex-husband Karl Cook.

Cuoco and Cook called it quits after three years of marriage, and she has been quite candid about life during and after her divorce. Here is a look at how splitting from Cook impacted The Penthouse actress.

Inside Cuoco And Cook's Divorce 

Whether amicable or not, breakups are hard to deal with. In the case of Cuoco and her ex-husband, the divorce was an unpleasant experience for the movie star.

The Bratz actress, 36, was about a month away from filming her Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated role on The Flight Attendant Season 2 when she and Karl Cook released a joint statement saying they had decided to end their marriage.

However, while the split was amicable, the decision to divorce was not an easy one to make. After calling it quits, Cuoco admitted that work distractions negatively impacted her relationship, and she revealed in an interview that coping with the divorce was pretty challenging. 

How Cuoco Coped During Divorce 

In a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Cuoco opened up about her devastating split and how her Flight Attendant co-star, Zosia Mamet, had been a shoulder to lean on throughout her divorce.

The Wedding Ringer star gave props to her co-star for helping her through the rough period in her life. After Mamet found out about Cuoco's split from Cook, the Mad Men star was incredibly supportive.

Cuoco said Mamet did all she could to help, including moving in with her to help oversee her personal affairs and work.

"She basically lived with me the last few months of shooting, we just moved in together, and I don't think I would've gotten to work some days without her."

Cuoco admitted that she never believed she would ever need to depend on anyone, and she showered Mamet with praise.

The actress, who has served as executive producer for the HBO Max comedic thriller The Flight Attendant since 2020, explained that Mamet would come on set on her days off to see that she is comforted. Cuoco described Mamet as the best and felt "very lucky" for her presence.

A Beautiful Bond Amid Divorce 

While Cuoco's divorce from Cook was painful for the actress, it did one good; it helped Cuoco and Mamet form a beautiful bond. The Teen Choice Awards winner and Mamet developed a special connection working on season 2 of their critically acclaimed HBO max project, and their relationship became stronger from thereon.

In February, Cuoco celebrated Mamet's birthday by sharing several photos of several memorable moments with Mamet on social media. She posted snaps of their hangout at a Disney-themed park, meals they had together, and several other friendship moments. These besties really hit it off while focusing on their HBO Max hit. 

Will Cuoco Remarry?

Cuoco is not interested in walking down the aisle again. With the experience of her 2021 split from Cook, the movie star has confirmed that she has no intentions of ever getting married again.

In a conversation with Glamour, Cuoco said, "I will never get married again."

However, while the actress was quite vehement about her new stance on marriage, she still desires to find love again. This time instead of marriage,  Cuoco seeks to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership.

Fans in the comments weren't pleased as they reminded her that she'd miss the stories when Kris is no more. Some wrote,

Khloe also got off the hook for her alleged photoshop fail after Kim fessed up in her Instagram story. The businesswoman confessed that True took one for the team, and she photoshopped her face onto Chicago's body because she [Kim] wanted to maintain a Pink and Blue aesthetic on her Instagram feed.
