Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s Official Relationship Timeline Posted: 30 Apr 2022 07:10 PM PDT An unexpected romance. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's relationship may have shocked fans in 2021, but the pair haven't slowed down in 2022. The Keeping Up With the Kardashian alum was first linked to the Saturday Night Live star in October 2021, eight months after she filed for divorce from Kanye West. (The former couple, who wed in 2014, share daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm.) While Kardashian and Davidson were friendly over the years — he even called Kimye the "cutest couple" after attending Kid Cudi's birthday dinner with the spouses in 2019 — the KKW Beauty mogul bonded with the Set It Up actor when she hosted SNL. "He was a true professional the whole time they rehearsed and in between takes, but afterward things got flirty," a source told Us Weekly at the time. "They exchanged numbers and Pete asked if Kim would like to hang out sometime, which she agreed to straight away." Following a group Halloween outing, Kardashian and Davidson were spotted on a series of dinner dates. By mid-November 2021, an insider told Us that she was "falling for" him. "Everything flows well [when they're together]," the source said. As the duo heated up, West, meanwhile, made a series of public pleas to try to win Kardashian back. The rapper also alleged that he wasn't served with divorce papers. The Selfish author subsequently filed paperwork to be declared legally single amid divorce proceedings. "Pete is not worried about Kanye trying to get back with Kim," a source told Us in December 2021. "He's very laid-back and understanding. They're super smitten with each other." West, for his part, "absolutely despises Kim dating Pete," the source said. "He is so jealous." The Grammy winner has since been linked to Julia Fox. Things proved to be heating up between the twosome when Kardashian helped Davidson celebrate his 28th birthday with her mom, Kris Jenner, and Flavor Flav. “The whole night, I was so honored to be in their presence,” the rapper told Entertainment Tonight about the get-together. One thing that I could say is Pete Davidson loves himself some Flavor Flav. Everything he does is, ‘Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that, Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that.’ So Kim said, ‘OK, well, for your birthday, you are going to have Flavor Flav.’ She sent for me and that’s how I ended up there. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f—king lucky that she’s your kids mom. "Obviously, I want to take my time, but I'm very happy and very content. And it's such a good feeling just to be at peace." Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson Hold Hands for Red Carpet Debut: Photos Posted: 30 Apr 2022 06:56 PM PDT Two of a kind. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson made their official red carpet debut as a couple on Saturday, April 30, in Washington, D.C. at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. Kardashian, 41, wore a sleeveless, glittery silver gown with a high neckline while Davidson, 28, went with the classic black suit with a white shirt. The comic — who addressed his feud with Kanye West during his standup set one night prior — wore sunglasses as he posed with his girlfriend. President Joe Biden is expected to attend the White House Correspondents Dinner, which will be hosted by Trevor Noah. The dinner is a celebration of freedom of speech — with comedians roasting the president — as well as a fundraiser for journalism programs. Biden will get a chance to crack a few jokes as well. The pair attended as guests of Disney/ABC, according to The Washington Post. While it may seem like an odd place for Davidson and Kardashian to make their red carpet debut, this wasn’t their first outing in the Capitol. The pair went on a date on Sunday, April 24, where Davidson honored Jon Stewart. The former Daily Show host, 59, was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and the King of Staten Island star publicly thanked Stewart for advocating on behalf of veterans and 9/11 first responders. The pair connected at the Met Gala in September 2021, when she asked the King of Staten Island star, 28, for advice before her Saturday Night Live hosting debut. The pair began dating in October 2021 and made things Instagram official in March, with a series of PDA-filled pics. Their romance marks the Skims founder’s first relationship since filing for divorce from West, 44, in February 2021. Kardashian and the Yeezy designer share North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. Last month, Davidson attended the premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians alongside the KKW Beauty founder and the pair were photographed holding hands. However, the Big Time Adolescence star chose not to walk the red carpet. “I don't think it's his thing to be all up here with me. So, I'm just so happy he's here," Kardashian told E! News in April. "He's here to support me. It's my thing.” On Tuesday, April 26, Kardashian shared a series of photos from the event via Instagram, including snaps of her and Davidson walking hand-in-hand. “We premiered two weeks ago and I'm blown away that we had the highest premiere in HULU History! Beyond grateful when we heard that news!!” she wrote. “Also I felt so honored to wear a special dress to the special night! Manfred Mugler made this dress for me last year before he passed away and I just felt the magic in him when I wore it!” Though the Selfish author said she wouldn’t be opposed to having Davidson appear on the reality show, the pair have done their best to keep their relationship relatively low-key. "I do think that I am holding a little bit more close to my heart on certain aspects of my relationship with Pete," Kardashian told Hoda Kotb on her “Making Space” podcast in April. "It feels good just to know that, like, we have this connection and we have our little bubble of a relationship world that we live in that, like, not a lot of people know about." She continued: "We were driving in the car yesterday and I just, like, looked at him and I was like, 'Thank you.’ And he was like, 'What?' And I was like, 'For running errands with me, like, this is so much fun just to go to a doctor's appointment or go to the dentist and just, like, run errands. I'm having so much fun.’" Scroll down for photos of Davidson and Kardashian’s red carpet debut at the 2022 White House Correspondents Dinner: ![]() Kardashian only posted her first Instagram photo with her new boyfriend a few weeks prior to their red carpet debut. LOL! Pete Davidson Breaks Silence on Kanye West Feud, Jokes About Kim's Ex Posted: 30 Apr 2022 06:02 PM PDT Laughing it off. Pete Davidson broke his silence about his feud with Kanye West for the first time during a standup comedy set — and he didn’t hold back. The Saturday Night Live star, 28, took the stage at the Netflix is a Joke Festival on Friday, April 29, in Los Angeles, and he dove right into addressing the elephant in the room. Davidson, who started dating Kim Kardashian in fall 2021, explained that he had an “AIDS scare,” an audience member at the Fonda Theatre tells Us Weekly. The New York native assured the audience that he wasn’t concerned that he had AIDS, but he alleged West, 44, spread a rumor that he suffered from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. The King of Staten Island star went to a famous friend for advice. “John Mulaney said, ‘He said you have AIDS? You should said say he has polio,'” Davidson recalled. In January, TMZ reported that the “Power” rapper was “allegedly telling friends Pete Davidson’s suffering with AIDS,” and he even called their mutual friends to try and convince them that he was struggling with the condition. West’s reps denied the report, calling it “nonsense” at the time. The beginning of the year was when West started to take his feud with Davidson public. The same month, West called out Davidson by name in his track "Eazy" with The Game. "God saved me from the crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass," the performer said in the song. In March, a video followed which showed West brutally killing the comic. In his April 29 show, Davidson joked that since he, Chris Rock and Jon Stewart attended a Knicks game together in December 2021, he’d been beheaded in West’s video and Rock was famously slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars. “Jon Stewart, you’re next!” Davidson jokingly warned. The Suicide Squad actor also addressed friends, such as Jack Harlow, working with West. Davidson explained that collaborations between musicians didn’t bother him at all — but he’d be concerned if comedians like Bill Burr were teaming up with him. The Yeezy designer attempted to get Michael Che to quit SNL over his feud with Davidson. “@chethinks I'LL DOUBLE WHATEVER THEY PAYING YOU JUST SO YOU DONT HAVE TO LOOK AT THAT PAWN EVER AGAIN BIG LOVE,” West wrote via Instagram in February. The Weekend Update cohost, 38, responded with his own handwritten message. "Sorry Ye, but I would never betray my friends," the New York native wrote on one page of a legal pad. The next paper jokingly revealed he wouldn't leave, "for anything less than TRIPLE salary. That's right, $90k per year!" Che continued, "Full medical. Full dental. Four weeks vacay. Corner office. Plus, a pair of Red Octobers. Size 12. And you gotta make some beats for my band, The Slap Butts. And you gotta tell me what you're gonna wear to work the night before so we can look like twins. You do that for me, and I'll Rambo that whole building.” The comic has remained behind the Weekend Update desk. Davidson refrained from mentioning his girlfriend during his set. Kardashian, 41, filed for divorce from West in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. The KKW Beauty founder, who shares children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4 and Psalm, 2, with her ex, was declared legally single last month. |

Kylie Jenner Gushes Over ‘Most Special’ Travis Scott in Birthday Tribute Posted: 30 Apr 2022 02:45 PM PDT Hot and cold! Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout their relationship, but they always seem to find their way back to each other. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and the rapper went public with their romance at Coachella in April 2017, just weeks after she split from her boyfriend of four years, Tyga. The pair welcomed their daughter, Stormi, in February 2018. After more than two years together, Us Weekly confirmed that the couple was taking a break from their romance. “Kylie and Travis have been on and off at various times throughout their relationship,” a source explained in October 2019, shortly after news broke of their split. “Kylie still loves Travis and this isn’t considered a full breakup to either of them.” A second insider told Us at the time that the pair had never had a “traditional relationship” but were “very much in love” before deciding to take a break. Even during their time apart, the Kylie Cosmetics founder and Grammy nominee remained close and were committed to working together to raise their daughter. The couple made such a great team that even their close friends were rallying for them to reconcile and could “see them getting back together at some point in the future.” Jenner gushed over the strong coparenting relationship she had with the “Butterfly Effect” rapper during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in March 2020. “We’re, like, best friends,” she said of Scott at the time. “We both love [our daughter] Stormi and want what’s best for her. We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents, Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner], in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi.” Later that month, multiple outlets confirmed that the pair were back together. Entertainment Tonight reported that the reality TV personality and her former flame had been seeing each other for about a month, while a source told In Touch that they were taking things slow due to Jenner’s trust issues. Kylie's nephew Mason Disick denied the rumors, however. "No, Kylie and Travis are not back together, he said in a March 2020 Instagram live. In the year that followed, the duo focused on coparenting their daughter amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, they were spotted looking cozy when Kylie attended one of Travis' concerts at Liv Nightclub in Miami. “They were visibly together and definitely seemed to be enjoying themselves and each other’s company,” an eyewitness told Us exclusively. Us confirmed in August 2021 that the on-again, off-again couple are expecting baby No. 2. "She has been trying for almost two years to get pregnant," a source exclusively told Us at the time. Yeehaw! Bachelor Nation Takes Stagecoach Festival 2022: Photos Posted: 30 Apr 2022 02:41 PM PDT It's that time of year again! Over the years, Stagecoach Festival has become a staple for Bachelor Nation members — and this weekend was no exception. "It's been a long 3 years, but we are back babyyyyy! See y'all out there! The Colorado native, 33, proudly documented his Stagecoach plans on Friday, April 29, where he watched performances by Jordan Davis, Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett at the Indio, California, venue. Hannah Brown, for her part, was equally giddy to embrace her country roots at the annual music festival. "Giddy up it's Stagecoach time," the God Bless This Mess author, 27, wrote via Instagram Story on Friday. The Alabama native — who served as the Bachelorette in season 15 — sported a pair of jean cutoffs, red crop top and a purple cowboy hat. Amanda Stanton, for her part, brought her daughter Kinsley, 10, and fiancé Michael Fogel, whom she got engaged to in December 2021, to the festival on Friday night. "Kins had the best time," the Orange County, California native, 32, gushed via Instagram Story. "Sneaking out early. Night 1 success." After Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb celebrated their 9-month anniversary earlier in April, they hit up Stagecoach with fellow Bachelor in Paradise season 7 alum Thomas Jacobs. "Abigail >>>>>> Noah is pretty great too," Thomas, 29, captioned Instagram Story footage with the twosome. Of course, the country music festival has made headlines amongst Bachelor Nation in years past after Blake admitted to connecting with multiple franchise alums when he attended. During his tenure on BiP season 6 in 2019, Blake was accused of hooking up with Caelynn Miller-Keyes (and subsequently ghosting her) at the musical festival earlier that year. It was also revealed that he spent quality time with Kristina Schulman one day earlier. After the "Behind the Rose" podcast host was eliminated from the Mexico beach, he teased that he was ready to head back to Stagecoach. "I am definitely still going," Blake told the Daily Mail in February 2020. "I'm not going to let people shame me into not going to a music festival. I'll be a little more careful, but I'm really looking forward to it." The Bachelorette season 14 alum has since moved on from the BiP drama with his very own set. Blake, an aspiring DJ, is set to take the Honky Tonk stage on Saturday, April 30. Scroll below to see how Bachelor Nation celebrated at Stagecoach: ![]() “Y’all remember Alabama Hannah? Celebrity Splits of 2022: Stars Who Broke Up This Year Posted: 30 Apr 2022 02:20 PM PDT Calling it quits. It happens all the time, but the world never gets used to seeing celebrity couples break up. Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard were among the stars who made headlines for their splits in 2022. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in January that the model and the NFL star were "getting divorced," though they were "going to try and remain civil and friendly towards each other." Divorce documents obtained by Us claimed that the pair were having marital issues as far back as December 2020. "The parties have experienced irreconcilable differences [and the] differences have caused a break down in the marital relationship," the papers, which were filed in June 2021, read. "Said irreconcilable differences have existed for at least six months prior to the filing [of] this Complaint and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation." After Iman and Shepard welcomed daughter Cali in August 2018, he got real about balancing their parenting responsibilities and their relationship. (The duo also share daughter Cassie, whom they welcomed in December 2019.) "It's honestly tough whenever you put a baby into the situation because you've got to still try to find time for each other and a lot of the focus goes onto the baby," he told Us in August 2019. "So that's the main thing is just me trying to carve out a little time in my schedule and her trying to carve out time in her schedule because we're both pretty busy. That's the toughest thing about it, but we find a way to get through it." Another split that made news in 2022 was Joe and Bessy Gatto's, though they technically announced it in December 2021. The comedian revealed the separation in an Instagram post that also explained his exit from Impractical Jokers. "Alongside my friends, I've devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn't be prouder of what has been accomplished," he wrote on New Year’s Eve in 2021. "However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids." Bessy, for her part, addressed the breakup in her own Instagram post. "With love and respect, we have decided to separate. Although we will no longer be a couple, we will always be a family to our beautiful kids and we look forward to co-parenting together," she noted. "We ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate this new chapter together. And of course we will still continue to help animals and rescue dogs, which is something we are both passionate about!" Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson Help Barbra Streisand Celebrate 80th Birthday Posted: 30 Apr 2022 02:15 PM PDT It's "Us Against the World!" Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have kept their romance relatively private — but their story is as sweet as any love song. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in December 2017 that the Coldplay singer had moved on with the Fifty Shades of Grey star less than two years after his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow was finalized in July 2016. The exes — who share daughter Apple and son Moses — announced their "conscious uncoupling" in March 2014 after a decade of marriage. The unlikely couple had been spotted out together on multiple occasions in late 2017 before a source told Us that they were "definitely dating" and getting serious. "They've gotten to know each other really well and are very comfortable with one another," the insider added at the time. "Chris sends Dakota his music to get her opinion. It's more than just a fling." A separate source at the time noted that Martin was drawn to Johnson's free spirit. "Chris is very young at heart so it makes sense for him to be with someone younger," the insider said. "He likes creative types so it makes sense that he dates actresses. That's just one of the ways Dakota is very much his type." Much of their relationship was kept under wraps, but the "Fix You" singer and the Texas native hit a rough patch in the summer of 2019. At the time, rumors surfaced that Martin had packed on the PDA with Dua Lipa at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K., sparking speculation that he and Johnson had split. (A rep for Martin later denied the kiss had ever happened.) Shortly after reports of their breakup made waves, the British musician supported Johnson at a handful of press events in August 2019. All signs pointed to a rekindled romance — and Paltrow played a big part in their reunion. "Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it," a source exclusively revealed at the time. "Gwyneth is happy if Chris is happy. She only wants the best for him." The Politician actress, for her part, tied the knot with Brad Falchuk in September 2018. While the two couples have a friendly rapport, Paltrow previously admitted that coparenting with her ex-husband hasn't always been simple. "Chris and I committed to putting them first and that's harder than it looks because some days you really don't want to be with the person that you are getting divorced from," the Shakespeare in Love star said on The Drew Barrymore Show in September 2020. "But if you're committed to having family dinner then you do it. You take a deep breath, and you look the person in the eye, and you remember your pact, and you smile, and you hug and you recommit to this new relationship that you are trying to foster." Keep scrolling for a look back at Martin and Johnson's whirlwind love story! ![]() Us exclusively confirmed in December 2017 that the pair were “definitely dating” after they jetted off to Israel for a romantic getaway. Mary Fitzgerald: Christine Quinn’s Alleged Bribe Could Have Been Illegal Posted: 30 Apr 2022 02:12 PM PDT ![]() After Selling Sunset's Emma Hernan alleged that Christine Quinn attempted to bribe one of her clients to switch brokers, their coworker Mary Fitzgerald has weighed in on the potential ramifications. "If Emma had had the listing agreement signed already, which she was getting ready to, [Christine's actions] would be illegal," the South Dakota native, 41, told E! News on Friday, April 29. "So [Christine] would lose her license, she would lose everything. But the listing agreement for this particular property wasn’t signed just yet, luckily. Otherwise, she would have legal issues." In season 5 of the Netflix reality TV series, which premiered earlier this month, the 30-year-old Massachusetts native claimed that the How to Be a Boss B*tch author offered a bribe one of her real estate clients. Christine was accused of offering $5,000 to one of Emma's clients in exchange for no longer working with the Boston native. (Emma and Christine previously butted heads over the allegations that Christine's ex Peter Cornell left her for Emma, which the Emma Leigh & Co founder has denied.) After Emma told bosses Jason Oppenheim and Mary — who was promoted to vice president of the Oppenheim Group brokerage in season 5 — they tried to get to the bottom of the claims on camera. However, the Texas native declined to show up in the office or answer their phone call. "There’s absolutely no truth to this. I don’t know why Emma is once again trying to make me look bad and stir the pot and make up lies about me," Christine — who welcomed son Christian with husband Christian Richard in May 2021 — said during one of the new episodes. Upon Selling Sunset's season 1 debut in 2019, Christine and Mary were close friends, however, their bond has since deteriorated amid the drama. "I think viewers will get some clarity on why we're all kind of at the place that we're at lately, like, with [Christine]," Mary previously told Us in February of the latest season. While neither Emma nor Christine have further addressed the alleged bribery incident, the Ball State University grad opened up about the brokerage's business practices. "We pride ourselves on our integrity," Mary told E! on Friday. "And the way we treat clients and the way we treat each other, and we can’t have this at our brokerage. It’s not OK." The RealOpen founder has since left the firm, with a source telling Us it was her decision. Season 5 of Selling Sunset is now streaming on Netflix and the reunion drops on Friday, May 6.

Naomi Judd Dead at 76: Read Daughters Wynonna and Ashley's Statement Posted: 30 Apr 2022 01:44 PM PDT ![]() Naomi Judd has died. She was 76. "Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness," daughters Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd shared in a Saturday, April 30, Twitter statement. "We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory." The late Kentucky native was one-half of the Grammy-winning duo, The Judds, alongside Wynonna, 57. The mother-daughter group — who are set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, May 1 — were known for their hits "Love Can Build a Bridge," "Mama He's Crazy," "Why Not Me" and "Grandpa." Naomi — born Diana Ellen Judd — worked as a nurse in Nashville when she and Wynonna began singing together professionally. They won their first Grammy in 1984 for Best Country Performance by a Duo or a Group. "Wynonna and I both said the same thing [when we won], that it felt like we were in a car crash [because] it happened so fast. It was life-changing," the River of Time author told Entertainment Tonight in March 2021. "I got up out of my seat like, ‘Uh, oh, they made a mistake.'” Naomi — who is survived by husband Larry Strickland and their two daughters — started making music with Wynonna in 1983. The band called it quits in 1991 after the late musician was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. They were set to reunite later this year for a new live tour. “Rest In Peace, Naomi Judd. Honored to have witnessed 'Love Can Build a Bridge' just a few short weeks ago," country singer Maren Morris tweeted her condolences to Naomi's family on Saturday. Naomi had previously been outspoken about her battle with severe depression. "I would come home and not leave the house for three weeks and not get outta my pajamas, not practice normal hygiene," the late Grammy winner said during a December 2016 appearance on Good Morning America. "My hands shake really bad … medication, nothing I can do about it. And my face, I feel like a balloon. My face is all swollen because of the medication. I really haven't been eating ice cream and candy, I really haven't!" She added: "What I've been through is extreme [and] it was so deep and so completely debilitating and life-threatening. … I have processed and worked so hard for these last four years." |
Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 30 Apr 2022 12:20 PM PDT When the bones are good, the rest don't matter. Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd‘s love story has all the makings of a great country song. Morris and Hurd met during a writing session for Tim McGraw's song "Last Turn Home" in 2013. "[Ryan's] always been a creative collaborator in my life, that's how we met," Morris told Us Weekly exclusively in March 2019. "We were paired together six years ago to write a song. We didn't know each other and it just kind of grew from there, so music has always been really intertwined in our love for each other, and now that we aren't just songwriters, we're artists." The duo were friends for two years before their relationship turned romantic. Hurd detailed their love story in his 2017 song "Love in a Bar." "We were just friends, just hanging / Just sitting 'round waiting for somebody to cross the line," he sings. "And we've been saying it with our eyes the whole time / That you have my whole heart." After dating for nearly two years, Hurd proposed to Morris in July 2017. Less than a year later, the couple wed. "I've learned so much from Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman," Morris told Us about dealing with the long-distance relationship. "They've got the two-week rule; he's got his kids out on the road. They just make it look so normal and it makes me and Ryan feel like this could be normal as well. We do a pretty good job at constantly keeping in contact, lots of FaceTime. We have the same manager now, so she helps our calendars really coalesce well and that's helped it a good bit. Especially now that we're married, it's a little bit more important to us to see each other. We try to have a good balance." Morris and Hurd became parents in March 2020. Joe Alwyn: Why My Romance With Taylor Swift Is So Private Posted: 30 Apr 2022 12:10 PM PDT Gorgeous! Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were first linked in May 2017 and have been notorious for keeping their relationship private ever since. The couple have remained tight-lipped about their love life since its start, but a source told Us Weekly in March 2020 that they "have talked about their future and marriage." The insider noted that the duo are "very much in love" and that Swift "considers Joe one of the only safe constants in her life." While the British actor is rumored to be the subject of many of Swift's songs — including "London Boy" and "Cornelia Street" — she has rarely spoken publicly about their romance. The Grammy winner did, however, reference her and Alwyn's love story in her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana. "I was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life," she said in the film, which was released in January 2020. "We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private. I was happy. But I wasn't happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else's input. We were just happy." Alwyn, for his part, spoke out in November 2018 about keeping his relationship with the "Mirrorball" singer as quiet as possible. "Someone's private life is, by definition, private," the A Christmas Carol alum told British GQ at the time. "No one is obliged to share their personal life." Swift got real in November 2020 about factoring normal aspects of everyday life into their romance. "'Peace' is actually more rooted in my personal life," she told Paul McCartney in a Rolling Stone interview at the time. "I know you have done a really excellent job of this in your personal life: carving out a human life within a public life, and how scary that can be when you do fall in love and you meet someone, especially if you've met someone who has a very grounded, normal way of living." She noted that she made choices so her "life [would] feel more like a real life" that she could control. "Whether that's deciding where to live, who to hang out with, when to not take a picture — the idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain, but it's really just trying to find bits of normalcy," she added. "That's what that song 'Peace' is talking about. Like, would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave?" "No one is obliged to share their personal life.” LRNYC / MEGA ![]() In December 2018, Alwyn admitted to Esquire that he doesn’t “seek out advice on” his relationship with the “Delicate” singer because his feelings are clear. “I think there's a very clear line as to what somebody should share, or feel like they have to share, and what they don't want to and shouldn't have to,” he explained. LRNYC / MEGA ![]() The Mary Queen of Scots actor doesn't think his desire to stay quiet about Swift is shocking. “I don’t think anyone you meet on the streets would just spill their guts out to you, therefore why should I?” he told MR PORTER's The Journal in January 2019. “And then that is defined as being ‘strangely private.’ Fine. But I don’t think it is … I think it’s normal.” Chris J Ratcliffe/Getty Images ![]() The “Lover” singer opened up about why she’s kept her relationship with Alwyn under wraps during an interview with The Guardian’s Weekend magazine in August 2019. “I’ve learned that if I do [talk about it], people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion,” Swift said. “If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we’d be talking about it — but it’s just that it goes out into the world. That’s where the boundary is, and that’s where my life has become manageable. I really want to keep it feeling manageable.” Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock; Scott Kirkland/FX/Picturegroup/Shutterstock ![]() The songstress didn’t mention Alwyn by name in her January 2020 Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, but she did speak about falling for someone “who had a really wonderful, normal, balanced kind of life.” She added: “We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private. I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just happy.” Courtesy of Netflix ![]() The “Cardigan” singer discussed challenges in her personal life during an interview with Paul McCartney for Rolling Stone magazine in November 2020. She revealed that her song “Peace” is inspired by the couple’s romance. “’Peace’ is actually more rooted in my personal life,” she said. “I know you have done a really excellent job of this in your personal life: carving out a human life within a public life, and how scary that can be when you do fall in love and you meet someone, especially if you’ve met someone who has a very grounded, normal way of living.” She continued: “I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can’t control if there’s going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow.” The Cats actress further explained her choices to make her “life feel more like a real life” instead of a “story line in the tabloids” that she can’t control. Those choices include where to live and when to not take a photo. “The idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain, but it’s really just trying to find bits of normalcy,” she said. “That’s what that song ‘Peace’ is talking about. Like, would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave?” Shutterstock; Juan Herrero/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock ![]() Swift confirmed in her November 2020 Disney+ special, Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, that Alwyn cowrote “Exile” and “Betty” under a pseudonym for her album Folklore. “There’s been a lot of discussion about William Bowery and his identity because it’s not a real person,” she said. “So, William Bowery is Joe, as we know. He plays piano beautifully, and he’s always just playing and making things up and kind of creating things. ... It was a step that we would have never have taken, because why would we have ever written a song together?” Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock; David Fisher/Shutterstock ![]() “Joe and I really love sad songs. We've always bonded over music,” Swift explained during an Apple Music interview after Folklore’s sister album, Evermore, dropped in December 2020. “I say it was a surprise that we started writing together, but in a way, it wasn't because we have always bonded over music and had the same musical tastes. And he's always the person who's showing me songs by artists and then they become my favorite songs or whatever. But yeah, ‘Champagne Problems,’ that was one of my favorite bridges to write. I really love a bridge where you tell the full story in the bridge, like, you really shift gears in that bridge.” Shutterstock (2) ![]() “He's always just playing instruments and he doesn't do it in a strategic, ‘I’m writing a song right now’ thing,” she told Zane Lowe in December 2020. “He's always done that. But do I think we would have taken the step of, ‘Hey, let's see if there's a song in here. Let's write a song together?’ If we hadn't been in lockdown, I don't think that would have happened, but I'm so glad that it did. We're so proud of that one. Also, because I do remember the exact moment that I walked in and he was playing that exact piano part. And all I had to do was follow the piano melody with the verse melody. So, because the vocal melody is exactly the same, pretty much it's mirrored with the piano part that he wrote. And we did the same thing with 'Evermore,’ where I'll just kind of hear what he's doing and it's exactly, it's all there. All I have to do is dream up some lyrics and come up with some gut-wrenching, heart-shattering story to write with him.” Shutterstock (2) ![]() In a candid February 2021 interview with Vanity Fair, Swift reflected on why she was "always told it’s better to stay out of" politics as a country artist. Eventually, however, she felt like she couldn't continue to stay silent and received a confidence boost from her beau when she finally chose to use her platform. "I found myself talking about government and the presidency and policy with my boyfriend, who supported me in speaking out," the "Gold Rush" singer recalled. "I started talking to my family and friends about politics and learning as much as I could about where I stand. I'm proud to have moved past fear and self-doubt, and to endorse and support leadership that moves us beyond this divisive, heartbreaking moment in time." Taylor Jewell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock; VEVO ![]() Alwyn plays Nick Conway, a man in an open relationship, in Hulu's Conversations With Friends, but the actor confirmed that he has a very different romantic life than his character. “I think people can do what they want and makes them happy. Javier Etxezarreta/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock ![]() “It’s not something I think about, unless I’m in situations like this, and someone says, ‘What’s it like?’ and I have to think about what to say about it," he told The Guardian in April 2022. "It’s just not for other people and I don’t say that with aggression.” He added, "I don’t know how best to talk about it. I mean, I’m aware of people’s … of that size of interest, and that world existing. It’s just not something I particularly care about, or have much interest in feeding, I guess, because the more it’s fed, the more you are opening a gate for intrusion. ... I think that’s just my response to a culture that has this increasing expectation that everything is going to be given. If you don’t post about the way you make your coffee in the morning, or if you don’t let someone take a picture when you walk out of your front door, is that being private? I don’t know if it is. Joe Alwyn: My Grammy Win With GF Taylor Swift Was 'Ridiculous' Posted: 30 Apr 2022 11:45 AM PDT ![]() An unexpected surprise. Joe Alwyn explained that he doesn’t often think about girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s fame, so he certainly didn’t expect their fun musical collaboration to win a Grammy Award. “That was a surreal bonus of lockdown. That's an understatement,” the British actor, 31, told The Guardian in an interview published Saturday, April 30. “It wasn't like, 'It's five o'clock, it's time to try and write a song together.’ It came about from messing around on a piano, and singing badly, then being overheard, and being, like, 'Let's see what happens if we get to the end of it together.'” Alwyn, credited as William Bowery, cowrote “Exile” and “Betty” for Swift’s Folklore, released in July 2020, which won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in March 2021. He also cowrote “Champagne Problems,” “Coney Island” and the title track of Evermore, which she released in December 2020. “I mean fun is such a stupid word, but it was a lot of fun,” he continued. “And it was never a work thing, or a 'Let's try and do this because we're going to put this out' thing. It was just like baking sourdough in lockdown. The Grammy was obviously this ridiculous bonus." The Grammy winner, who said he doesn’t plan to pen any more hits, is focused on acting. He is set to star in the Hulu series Conversations With Friends, an adaptation of the Sally Rooney novel, as well as The Stars at Noon, a film set to debut at Cannes Film Festival later this year. He’d much rather talk about his fictional characters’ personal lives than his own. Alwyn revealed that he doesn’t philosophize too much about his life as the boyfriend of an iconic pop star. "It's not something I think about, unless I'm in situations like this, and someone says, 'What's it like?' and I have to think about what to say about it,” he told The Guardian. “It's just not for other people and I don't say that with aggression." He once again emphasized that their relationship is private. Since Alwyn and Swift got together in 2016, the two have kept their romance quiet, a decision the “All Too Well” singer spoke about in her 2020 Netflix documentary, Miss Americana. "I was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life," she said in the film. "We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private. I was happy. But I wasn't happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else's input. We were just happy." The pair rarely make public appearances, and they tend to avoid photographers when they do. The couple often attend the same premieres and awards shows to support each other, but they never walk the red carpet together. Alwyn told The Guardian that he isn’t comfortable drawing attention to their romance. "I don't know how best to talk about it. I mean, I'm aware of people's … of that size of interest, and that world existing. It's just not something I particularly care about, or have much interest in feeding, I guess, because the more it's fed, the more you are opening a gate for intrusion,” he said. “I think that's just my response to a culture that has this increasing expectation that everything is going to be given. If you don't post about the way you make your coffee in the morning, or if you don't let someone take a picture when you walk out of your front door, is that being private? I don't know if it is. So I just don't really feed that." |
Still Flirty! Maren Morris Shares Steamy Message About Husband Ryan Hurd Posted: 30 Apr 2022 10:54 AM PDT ![]() Loving her man! Ahead of her Stagecoach set this weekend, Maren Morris took the time to remind fans that fellow country singer Ryan Hurd is off the market. "I get to see him naked," the "Bones" musician, 32, tweeted on Friday, April 29, sharing a snap with Hurd, 35, whom she wed in 2018. Radio host Bobby Bones, though, concurred with Morris after reading her sultry remarks. "So do I," the former Dancing With the Stars champ, 42, tweeted, which made Morris send a laughing emoji reply. Hurd and Morris took their love to the Stagecoach Festival later on Friday, performing a joint musical set for the packed crowd of country music fans. "Stagecoach was a blast. Thanks to everyone who came out for our set The married couple initially met as writing collaborators on Tim McGraw's "Last Turn Home" in 2013 before eventually sparking a romantic connection. "[Ryan's] always been a creative collaborator in my life, that's how we met," Morris exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2019. "We were paired together six years ago to write a song. We didn't know each other and it just kind of grew from there, so music has always been really intertwined in our love for each other, and now that we aren't just songwriters, we're artists." After nearly two years of dating, Hurd proposed to the Texas native in July 2017. The duo wed in March 2018. "We do a pretty good job at constantly keeping in contact, lots of FaceTime," the songstress told Us in 2019. "We have the same manager now, so she helps our calendars really coalesce well and that's helped it a good bit. Especially now that we're married, it's a little bit more important to us to see each other. We try to have a good balance." Morris and Hurd announced in October 2019 that they were expanding their family. Their son, Hayes, was born in March 2020. "I had a buddy tell me right before our kid came, 'Remember that first and foremost, you have to be nice to each other,'" Hurd previously told Us in August 2020. "I thought that was really good advice because there are so many moments where you're like, 'I have nothing left. I have no nice left in me.' But … we're all trying hard to do this, and I think the nicer you are to your partner, the easier it is." He added: "It's amazing that everybody has, like, their own little tricks, and they all seem to work." |
Selling Sunset's Christine Quinn Leaves Oppenheim Group After Season 5 Drama Posted: 30 Apr 2022 09:32 AM PDT ![]() Going their separate ways. Season 5 of Selling Sunset ended on a cliffhanger regarding Christine Quinn's future at the Oppenheim Group brokerage, however, Us Weekly can confirm she has since walked away from the firm. "It was Christine's decision to leave the Oppenheim Group," a source exclusively tells Us of the 33-year-old Texas native. The Los Angeles-based realtor's bio has also been cut from the brokerage's website. While Christine's work history is no longer available to view via the webpage, her image still appears in a group photo of the full team at the top of the "Our Team" tab. ![]() The Juilliard School alum previously claimed earlier this month that she chose to leave the firm because the company wasn’t forward-leaning or believers in using cryptocurrency. "A lot of brokerages are very wary about accepting crypto because they don’t understand the inner workings of it, so that’s why it’s very difficult for agents to do these transactions," Christine — who welcomed son Christian in May 2021 with husband Christian Richard — told Forbes in an interview published on April 22. "A) the brokers don’t know anything about crypto; B) don’t know how to do it; and C) don’t understand how reliable and how safe it actually is. The process that RealOpen [the company she cofounded with her husband] uses is absolutely reliable and fool-proof." Christine's life as a luxury real estate agent has been chronicled on Netflix's Selling Sunset, which dropped its fifth season earlier this month. Upon the new episodes, she butted heads with her fellow agents after they admitted their friendship with the How to Be a Boss B*tch author had deteriorated. Costar Emma Hernan even claimed that Christine bribed one of her clients to no longer work with her. When Jason Oppenheim and Mary Fitzgerald attempt to address the allegations, Christine declined to show up at the office or answer a phone call. "It was honestly heartbreaking and just very disappointing. I really care about her as a person and I know she knows that, so I was kind of shocked to see how she talked about me and I couldn't believe it," Davina Potratz exclusively told Us Weekly in April, noting that she can no longer defend Christine's actions after the drama. "I truly care about Christine. … But it's like, she doesn't appreciate it. At some point, I would never hurt anyone, but I have to just then stay out of it because I don't know what's going on." In the new episodes, Christine kept her distance from the other agents after returning to the office following her maternity leave. Instead, she bonded with newcomer Chelsea Lazkani and helped her secure an interview with Jason, 45. Selling Sunset — which was already renewed for season 6 — filmed its first tell-all reunion earlier this week, however, Christine was notably absent from the promo footage. "Christine tested positive for COVID and out of abundance of caution for the cast and crew, she did not attend the reunion," her rep told Us in a statement on Monday, April 25. "Producers offered her the opportunity to video chat, but she declined because she wasn't feeling well enough to do it." Season 5 of Selling Sunset is now streaming on Netflix and the reunion drops on Friday, May 6. |
Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon Separate After 39 Years Together: Read Statement Posted: 30 Apr 2022 08:32 AM PDT ![]() Actor Dan Aykroyd and his wife, Donna Dixon, have announced their plans to separate after almost 40 years together. "After 39 years as a couple, we are now on separate life paths. We remain legally married, coparents, coworkers and business partners,” the Saturday Night Live alum, 69, and Dixon, 64, told People in a joint statement on Friday, April 29. "This is our choice in loving friendship." The estranged pair tied the knot in 1983 after meeting earlier that year on the set of the film Doctor Detroit. "You gotta find the right person — look them in the eye, have them look back, and know their soul,” Aykroyd told the Tampa Bay Times in May 2014 of their partnership. "She’s a Southern woman who is understanding and doesn’t mind dealing with the boys from time to time. I call her the White Goddess. And I’m the Green Demon." The duo — who have shared the screen in Twilight Zone: The Movie, Spies Like Us and Exit to Eden — share three daughters: Danielle (stage name Vera Sola), Belle and Stella. The Canada native rose to fame as a writer and actor on SNL before he went on to star in the likes of Driving Miss Daisy, Trading Places, Crossroads and Grosse Pointe Blank. "The moment I entered the acting trade I was in ‘show business,'" Aykroyd told BBC in January 2020. "I had to market and broker deals for myself. Every audition is a sale, then you have to follow it up with a contract, union obligations, tax planning, as well as — if you have a good job as an actor — investment." He continued at the time: "Then, when I was originating my projects, that is selling a piece of material, I had to set a value and broker a deal. So, I’ve been in show business all the way through. It’s not too hard to look at the numbers in another dimension." The Blues Brothers star was previously engaged to the late Carrie Fisher after they met backstage at NBC variety series, later sharing the screen in the 1980 musical comedy. "I met Carrie at Saturday Night Live," he recalled in a January 2017 interview for Empire magazine. "She and John Belushi became instant pals. I remember how much she made him laugh. Later, while filming Blues Brothers, Carrie and I fell in love and during the shoot, she moved in with me into a penthouse suite in the futuristic, aluminum-clad Astro Tower, which I knew to apologize for. Carrie had the most refined eye for art and design." He continued: "Carrie wasn't shallow, we had a great time. She was also in love with Paul Simon. She married him, but I hope she kept my ring." Following their 1980 split, the Star Wars actress — who died in December 2016 of a heart attack — reconnected with Simon, 80. After their breakup, she dated Bryan Lourd, with whom she shared daughter Billie Lourd. |
Hope Solo Voluntarily Enters In-Patient Alcohol Treatment After DUI Arrest Posted: 30 Apr 2022 06:42 AM PDT ![]() Less than one month after she was arrested for driving under the influence, Hope Solo is entering treatment. "I have contacted the Hall of Fame and respectfully requested a postponement of my [National Soccer] Hall of Fame induction ceremony to 2023," the professional athlete, 40, tweeted on Friday, April 29. "I will be voluntarily entering an in-patient alcohol treatment program to address my challenges with alcohol." She continued in her statement: "At this time, my energies and focus are totally directed to my health, healing and taking care of my family. I want to thank the Hall of Fame for their support and for understanding my decision." News broke earlier this month that the Solo: A Memoir of Hope author was taken into custody in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on charges of impaired driving (DWI) and resisting arrest. Us Weekly confirmed she was subsequently released after booking. "On the advice of counsel, Hope can't speak about this situation," Rich Nichols, a lawyer for the soccer star told Us in an April 1 statement. "But she wants everyone to know that her kids are her life, that she was released immediately and is now at home with her family, that the story is more sympathetic than the initial charges suggest, and that she looks forward to her opportunity to defend these charges." According to the police report, obtained exclusively by Us, a witness allegedly noticed Solo had been "passed out behind [the wheel]" for more than one hour while the engine was running. The Washington native's children — Lozen and Vittorio, both 2 — were also in the vehicle. When local police officers woke Solo up, they allegedly noticed the scent of alcohol on her breath and claimed her eyes were red. Solo allegedly refused to cooperate in a field sobriety test, per the police report, and a search warrant was then issued to obtain blood samples ahead of her arrest. A court hearing is scheduled for June 28. The Dancing With the Stars alum — who shares her twins with husband Jerramy Stevens — later broke her silence via Instagram. "For those who have reached out showing love and support, thank you. Our family is strong and surrounded with love," she captioned a social media upload on April 3. "Our kids are strong, intelligent, happy and vibrant, and we are present every day giving them the best life possible. We will be able to share the facts in due time." The Olympic athlete added: "In the meantime, our kids are enjoying the NC sun, eating popsicles and playing on our property. Life can be tough, but these are truly the moments that matter. I feel blessed to have this kind of love in my life." Everything We Know About Hope Solo's DUI Arrest Posted: 30 Apr 2022 06:35 AM PDT What comes next. Us Weekly confirmed in March 2022 that former U.S. women’s soccer player Hope Solo had been arrested after being caught allegedly driving under the influence. The athlete was taken into custody in Winston-Salem, North Carolina before she was brought to the Forsyth County jail for processing after authorities booked her for impaired driving (DWI) and resisting arrest. She was subsequently released. Authorities stated that the two children Solo shares with husband Jerramy Stevens, Lozen and Vittorio, were in the vehicle at the time of her arrest. She has also been charged with misdemeanor child abuse. “On the advice of counsel, Hope can't speak about this situation," Rich Nichols, a lawyer for the Olympian told Us in a statement the day after her arrest. "But she wants everyone to know that her kids are her life, that she was released immediately and is now at home with her family, that the story is more sympathetic than the initial charges suggest, and that she looks forward to her opportunity to defend these charges.” This arrest is not the Dancing With the Stars alum‘s first run-in with the law. In June 2014, Solo was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault in the fourth degree against her half-sister and nephew. The soccer star was reportedly intoxicated when the alleged assault occurred. A judge dropped the charges in 2018, after ruling that the incident was "unlikely to recur." Solo, who was a goalie for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team from 2000 to 2016, has participated in multiple FIFA World Cups and won two Olympic gold medals. However, she has also made headlines for her controversial behavior off the field, most notably when she called the Swedish women’s soccer team a “bunch of cowards” at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Solo’s contract was subsequently terminated. “For 17 years, I dedicated my life to the U.S. Women's National Team and did the job of a pro athlete the only way I knew how — with passion, tenacity, an unrelenting commitment to be the best goalkeeper in the world, not just for my country, but to elevate the sport for the next generation of female athletes," the former Seattle Sounders athlete wrote in a Twitter statement at the time. "In those commitments, I have never wavered. And with so much more to give, I am saddened by the Federation's decision to terminate my contract.” She continued: "I could not be the player I am without being the person I am, even when I haven't made the best choices or said the right things. Us confirmed that she was taken into custody and charged with impaired driving and resisting arrest. Because her children were in the car, Solo was also booked on misdemeanor child abuse. Winston-Salem Police Department/Mega ![]() According to a police report obtained by Us in April 2022, the Washington native was still unconscious in the car when authorities arrived on the scene, with the engine still purportedly running. After they woke her up, the police allegedly noticed the scent of alcohol on her breath and noted that her eyes were red. Solo refused to participate in field sobriety tests after attempting to contact a third party, per the report, and a search warrant was issued to obtain blood samples within 48 hours of her arrest. (Us has reached out for comment on the additional claims in the police report.) The University of Washington graduate was released from custody on April 1, with the police report adding the contingency that there needed to be "a sober and responsible adult who will take responsibility for the defendant until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 1, 2022, and upon executing a written promise to appear in court."
