NFL News: Niners Set Steep Asking Price For Deebo Samuel

The San Francisco 49ers are in a tough spot right now. They could either decide they're not going to trade away Deebo Samuel and risk losing him for free at the end of the season or cave in to his demands and find him a new home.

The talented WR/RB wants out of the Bay Area and according to reports, there's nothing the team can do to change his mind at this point.

Deebo Isn't Off The Table, Says Niners GM

But as much as the Niners would love to keep him around, the NFL is a business. And as such, they have the obligation to always look to make the deal that better suits the future of the franchise:

“We’ve been consistent since we’ve been here in that we listen on just about anyone. That’s something we’ll always do," Niners GM John Lynch told the media.Lynch Raves About Deebo Samuel

Lynch also raved about Samuel's story and how he broke out to become one of the best players in the league:

“He’s just too good of a player,” Lynch said. “You think of 2019, the 36th pick, to come up with someone like Deebo who, to me, has just been a game-changing player for our franchise. I’ve told Deebo this, I think he’s the perfect illustration. Herm Edwards used to talk about when will meets skill, you’ve got the opportunity to be special."Niners Got Nothing But Love For Him

Lynch said that Samuel has become a great member of the locker room and the community, which is why the team has nothing but praise and love for him despite his desire to leave:

"He’s got tremendous will, he’s a very talented player. I think by virtue of the way he plays, it’s inspiring and so, to me, that entails leadership," Lynch added. "Do you make people around you better? He checks that box. He’s a great teammate. And I think of things like prior to games, I get out there and he’s always throwing the ball with the fans. I think he’s been a great member of our community, so we’ve got nothing but love for him and nothing but appreciation for what he’s bought, but you just don’t let guys like that walk. I can’t envision a scenario where we would.”

That pretty much means that any team that wants him will have to pay a steep price for his services.

They Want Two First-Rounders For Him

On that note, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated believes that the Niners will ask for at least two first-round picks in return for Samuel.

Samuel is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is reportedly looking to sign an extension worth at least $25 million per year, so the Niners' asking price could drive most of his suitors away.

Inflation Could Sink Democrats In Midterms, Poll Suggests

With the rate of inflation in the United States at a 40-year high, people across the country are feeling the pain at grocery stores and gas pumps.

President Joe Biden and other Democrats have tried to place the blame on Vladimir Putin and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but economists argue that the situation is more complex than that.

But how is inflation shaping the political landscape, exactly?

New Poll

The latest Yahoo News/YouGov poll suggests inflation could sink Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.

In the survey -- which was conducted using a sample of 1,605 adults from April 19 to 22 -- 39 percent chose either inflation or gas prices as the biggest problem America is facing today.

No issue came even close to inflation and gas prices -- only climate change entered double digit territory, with 11 percent of respondents calling it the biggest problem.

Americans across the political spectrum are concerned about inflation, according to the poll.

Fifty-six percent of Republicans, 26 percent of Democrats, and 43 percent of independent voters ranked inflation or high gas prices as the number one problem in America.

Moreover, a staggering 70 percent of respondents rated the economy as either poor or fair, while just 23 percent rated it as good or excellent.

In more bad news for Biden and his allies, 56 percent of Democrats in the poll described the economy as either poor or fair.

Biden's Inflation

Just 21 percent of respondents in the poll said Biden is "doing enough to address inflation," while 15 percent said inflation or gas prices are what the president focuses on the most.

But who or what do American people blame for inflation?

Seventy-four percent of respondents said "disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic" deserve some or a great deal of the blame for inflation, while 62 percent said Biden should be blamed.

Fifty-three percent blamed the Federal Reserve, and 44 percent blamed former President Donald Trump.

Curbing Inflation

Even some prominent Democrats have publicly acknowledge that inflation is a major issue heading into the midterms, per The Washington Post.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts stressed in a recent interview that it "is the responsibility of Congress, of the president, to get out there and make the changes we need to make to bring down those prices for families."

"If we don’t get up and deliver... then I believe that Democrats are going to lose," Warren said.

In the coming days and weeks, Democrats will seek to increase social spending and confirm a number of nominees to the Federal Reserve.

Noah wrote "I burned down LA'' after a recent breakup. She wrote the song to express a feeling of lack of control and a need for release.

"The song still feels fresh when I hear and sing it," she told PAPER. "Putting myself back to those feelings is still hard. It was all worth it in the end, however, to be able to show an honest representation of what I was feeling."

In order to bring to life Noah's feelings and emotions at the time, she partnered with "Experimental Creative Studio" Actual Objects to bring the visual representation of her feelings to life. 

The Concept

According to PaperMag, the video tells an apocalyptic story filled with feelings of regret, loss, and invisibility with fiery visuals similar to wildfire. The whole mood of the video was made to match the darkly emotive feelings of the song. The footage was dominated by red-orange hues and flames. As Noah whispered the final lyrics of the song: "You left a hole in my heart when you left and my heart followed you out the door," it came with airy feelings sending chills down the spine like the last tendrils of fire.

The Philadelphia 76ers pushed the Toronto Raptors to the brink of playoff elimination after the first three games of their first-round series.

However, the Raptors have answered the bell, winning the last two contests. As Toronto holds the chance to force an all-or-nothing Game 7, here's what to expect for Game 6 on Thursday night.

76ers' First-Round Playoff Struggles Are Creating Doubt

The 76ers entered the 2022 playoffs holding championship-or-bust expectations.

Philadelphia showcased much promise through the first three games of the first-round series against the Raptors. However, Toronto tallied back-to-back wins, cropping up questions concerning the 76ers' chances to make a deep postseason push.

All that puts tremendous pressure on Philadelphia to close out the series on the road to avoid an all-or-nothing Game 7 on their home floor.

76ers Must Avoid A Game 7 Against the Raptors

The Raptors hold all the momentum heading into Game 6 after a convincing road win at Wells Fargo Center.

Toronto dictated the pace and played with plenty of intensity to extend the series. The 76ers looked out of sorts, as James Harden's continued offensive struggles are becoming more difficult to ignore.

The pressure is on Philadelphia to avoid Game 7 as Toronto has shown they are more than capable of showing up with their backs against the wall. Scotiabank Arena will be electric as the Raptors' passionate crowd will create an intense playoff environment.

If the 76ers start the game flat, the Raptors will steamroll their way to forcing Game 7.

James Harden's Scoring Struggles Continue

As Joel Embiid continues to play at an MVP-caliber level averaging 24.8 points and 11.6 rebounds, Harden's offensive struggles are increasingly difficult to brush aside.

The star guard has looked like a shell of himself since joining the 76ers. In the 21 regular-season games, he averaged 21.0 points and 10.5 assists but shot only 40.2% from the floor and 32.6% from 3-point range.

His scoring struggles have continued in the playoffs, averaging 18.4 points on 37.3% shooting from the field. Harden may be averaging a near double-double with 9.2 assists per contest, but his play is far below his norm.

The 10-time All-Star needs to be the difference-maker he has shown throughout his career if the 76ers hope to advance to the next round, let alone vying for an NBA title.

Game 6 Prediction: Raptors Will Force A Game 7

At this point, it's extremely difficult to trust the 76ers despite how impressive they looked through the first three games of the series.

The Raptors hold all the momentum while playing on their home floor will give them the extra motivation and energy to force a Game 7. ESPN has the 76ers possessing a 55.9% chance of securing the win, while FiveThirtyEight gives Toronto a 50% win probability.

Philadelphia must come out strong early if there is any hope of avoiding a Game 7, but all signs are pointing to that being the case.

The Denver Nuggets avoided a disappointing first-round sweep by outlasting the Golden State Warriors in Game 4.

However, the series presents a golden opportunity for the Warriors to advance to the next round on their home floor. Here's what to expect for Wednesday's contest.

Warriors Positioned For Deep Playoff Run

In the weeks before the playoffs, questions lingered around the Warriors' championship aspirations.

However, Golden State turned a corner, winning their last five regular-season games. They have continued that promising trend in the playoffs, earning wins in their first three contests before dropping Game 4 against the Nuggets.

Despite that, the Warriors sit positioned to move a step closer toward NBA title contention.

Warriors Hold Prime Opportunity To Eliminate The Nuggets

The Nuggets avoided the sweep in Game 4, but the Warriors will have the chance to end the series on their home floor.

Golden State has been an offensive juggernaut, notching at least 120 points in three of the first four contests. Even in the Game 4 loss, the Warriors tallied 121 points behind five players scoring in double figures, led by 30-point outings from Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets finally received balanced scoring beyond Nikola Jokic's stellar play as his 37-point performance was backed by 20-point outputs from Aaron Gordon and Monte Morris. Denver will need more of that in order to fend off Golden State, who will have the home crowd and focus to finish the series on their floor.

As dominant as Jokic has been, averaging 31.3 points and 11.8 rebounds, the Warriors' balance will be too much to overcome.

Klay Thompson Has Finally Found His Groove

The Warriors hold firm control of the series behind their balanced play, which features star guard Klay Thompson finally finding his rhythm.

In the first four games of the series, Thompson is averaging 24.5 points on 52.8% shooting from the floor and 50% from beyond the arc. He has scored more than 20 points in each of the last three contests, topped by a 32-point outing in Game 4, where he needed only four dribbles to reach that mark.

His production has been a promising sight as he's been a key cog in the Warriors' success. He will need to stay on that path for his team to move past the Nuggets and, more importantly, make a championship push.

Game 5 Prediction: Warriors Close Out the Series

It should be no surprise that the Warriors are favored to secure a series win in Game 5 on their home floor.

Golden State currently sits as a two-point favorite for Wednesday's contest. The Warriors will wrap up the series at Chase Center as their balanced scoring, led by their star-studded backcourt, especially with Thompson rounding the corner offensively.

ESPN is giving the Warriors a 66.2% chance to win the game, while FiveThirtyEight is leaning a little more heavily in Golden State's favor at a 78% win probability. Sports Betting Dime has the projected score with the Warriors winning 111-108.

All of that spells Golden State ending the series where it started.

One of the biggest surprises of 2021 was Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. Considering Kourtney's decade-long off-and-on relationship with Scott Disick, her family friend Travis came into the picture. As a result, Kardashian-Jenner fans worldwide have been intrigued by the couple's heated infatuation and PDAs.

Travis and Kourtney's romance has been documented on their Instagram pages over the last year through a series of hand-holding to kissing photos. There are also plenty of photos of Travis picking up Kourtney in various fancy places throughout the world and other very intimate photos that may be uncomfortable to some fans.

However, the lovebirds don't seem to be slowing down on their escapades as they are already searching for a new home in Bel-Air.

House Search In Bel-Air

During episode 2 of The Kardashians, Kourtney and her fiancé Travis went house hunting in Bel-Air. Kourtney revealed she and Travis live separately at the moment, saying, “Travis and I currently live in separate houses a block apart.” 

The couple loves where they currently reside, making their search for a new house more difficult. However, Kourtney, who shares three children with her ex Scott, hopes to find a place where she and Travis, who also has two children with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, can create a home together.

Inside The Beautiful Bel-Air Property

The 1930s Georgian estate, which is listed by the Friedman Group for nearly $28 million, has seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Hence, it is large enough for Kourtney's children Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, as well as Blink-182 rocker Travis' children Landon, 18, and Alabama, 16.

The mansion, which is located in La Quinta boasts of a groomed golf course, an outdoor swimming pool, a guest house, and a courtyard with bespoke water elements and a fire display.

The pool is flanked by gardens and palm trees, and there are various loungers near the home where Kourtney can relax and enjoy the magnificent views of the Santa Rosa Mountains.

The interior of the mansion is also fully furnished. The big open-plan living area features a sophisticated neutral color palette, a kitchen with white worktops, and wooden units.

There are also cream sofas in front of a fireplace and wall-mounted TV, and a large dining table, all of which pull away to create the ideal entertaining space.

A PDA Break During The House Search

Even on tour to the enormous Bel-Air property, Kourtney and Travis decided to take a break for some PDA. The Poosh founder stood in front of the real estate agent, riding on the Blink-182’s drummer. 

Before now, Kourtney and Travis have been chastised numerous times for their excessive PDA. The duo not only posts filthy photographs on social media but cannot keep their hands off each other at award events. 

According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly on April 4, Kourtney sat on Travis's lap while they kissed for an uncomfortably long time at the 2022 Grammy Awards. The make-out session reportedly lasted almost a minute.

Kourtney Defends Her Actions

Since they started dating in 2021, the couple has not shied away from kissing and cuddling in public. However, in the most recent episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, which aired on Thursday, April 21, Kourtney opened up about the criticisms of her and Barker's excessive show of affection.

“Oh my God, people were, like, pissed about the Disneyland video of me on you,” she told Travis, referring to a video of them making out at the theme park. 

“They were like, ‘There’s kids,’" she said, rolling her eyes. “Kissing and hugging is not a bad thing. I'm actually grateful that my kids can see a loving, affectionate relationship, because they haven't seen that their whole lives.”

Travis is always ready to defend his and Kourtney's unscrupulous public image and had some words for their critics.
