Austin Butler Says Ex Vanessa Hudgens Had ‘Epiphany’ He Should Play Elvis

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 01:56 PM PDT

When describing the courtship between Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler, it's hard not to associate them with the term "relationship goals." The longtime couple have maintained a strong and loving relationship over the years, which they've even shared glimpses of across their respective social media accounts.

According to the Daily Mail, the acting pair first crossed paths in 2005 on the set of High School Musical. At the time, sparks were flying between Hudgens and her costar Zac Efron, who she dated for five years before calling it quits in December 2010.

When Hudgens reflected on her former romance with Efron, she noted how appreciative she was of the time they spent together. "It started off really organically. I could not have been more grateful to have that relationship at the time," Hudgens said on The Hollywood Reporter's "Awards Chatter" podcast in April 2019.

"[High School Musical] was this massive phenomenon and [all] eyes were on me. And it's just a really weird, foreign thing to go through," she continued. "And by being in a relationship, it kind of kept me stabilized and grounded, and I had someone to lean on who was going through it as well."

Nearly a year after her split with the Neighbors actor, Hudgens was spotted packing on PDA with Butler. Though the actors hadn't addressed their rumored romance just yet, they eventually confirmed their relationship on their own terms.

"Communication is key," Hudgens told Access Hollywood in August 2018 the key to their successful romance. "It's so easy to let things get lost in the shuffle or to, kind of, push things down because you don't think they really bother you. But if anything even remotely bothers you, you gotta talk about it."

Three years earlier, the Carrie Diaries told alum Entertainment Tonight in August 2015 that he believes "it's important to put that other person first" in a romantic relationship. "If you're constantly looking for ways that you can make them happy, and they're constantly looking for ways that they can make you happy, then you kind of lift each other up as much as possible and you can't go wrong," he added.

The Shannara Chronicles alum has also gushed about his longtime love. In July 2019, he praised Hudgens for being an inspiration to him. "It's hard for me to even put into words what that girl means to me," he told E! News at the time. "I am so inspired by her every day and I just love her to my core."

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed on January 14, 2019, that Hudgens and Butler split after nearly nine years of dating. The pair have been "telling those close to her about their breakup," a source said.

Jared Padalecki’s Ups and Downs Through the Years

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 01:49 PM PDT

Leaving an impression. Jared Padalecki has experienced career success with roles in Gilmore Girls and Supernatural — but the actor has also had people talking off screen.

After rising to stardom for playing Dean Forester in Gilmore Girls, Padalecki made a transition to The CW’s Supernatural in 2005. The Texas native and his costar Jensen Ackles quickly won over fans with the fictional brother bond between Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester.

After a decade on the small screen as Sam, Padalecki made headlines when he got candid about his personal battle with depression. “I, in the past, have had my own struggles of not [being] so happy with where I am in life,” he told Variety in March 2015. “Maybe a lot of people don’t know this, but season 3, we were shooting an episode, and I went back to my trailer to get changed and just kind of broke down.”

The New York Minute actor continued: “A doctor came to set and talked to me for about 30 minutes or 45 minutes and said, ‘Jared, I think you’re clinically depressed. I think I should write you a note and we can shut down production for five days and then we can take it from there.'”

The experience inspired Padalecki’s online campaign titled Always Keep Fighting. The online fundraiser featured a shirt for fans to purchase in order to support the nonprofit To Write Love On Her Arms — an organization that offers outreach to people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

“There’s no shame in having to fight every day,” Padalecki told Variety at the time. “But fighting every day, and presumably, if you’re still alive to hear these words or read this interview, then you are winning your war. You’re here. You might not win every battle. There are going to be some really tough days. There might be several tough times in any given single day, but hopefully, this will help somebody to think, ‘This isn’t easy; it is a fight, but I’m going to keep fighting.'”

The CW star continued to use his connection with his followers to offer updates on his life. In March 2019, the cast of Supernatural confirmed that the show would be ending after 15 seasons. At the time, Padalecki noted that it would be a "bittersweet" experience saying goodbye to the series.

"The reality of being here, fielding questions about the show's last season, is reminding me that it's the show's last season coming up!" he exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of The CW's Upfront presentation in May 2019, adding that he would miss his costars the most. "We really have become a family. Over 15 years, we've cut the fat. We didn't fire anybody but if they didn't like being there, they move on. So the people that are there want to be there.”

For Padalecki, wrapping up Supernatural after such a lengthy run was “rough” for everyone. "We've known [each other] for 15 years. We've seen births and deaths and divorces and marriages. I mean, I met my wife in season 4 and we have three kids! So much has happened,” he continued. “I feel such a deep connection with everybody.”

After parting ways on screen, Padalecki and his former costar Ackles shocked followers when they argued over The Winchesters spinoff series. In June 2021, Padalecki expressed his disappointment with not knowing that Ackles was involved in the next chapter of the franchise.

"Dude. Happy for you. Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter. I'm excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever," he tweeted in June 2021.

The Smallville alum, for his part, later clarified that the longtime friends were able to figure out their issues. "Love you @jarpad … Miss these talks. I forgot how much face time we always used to get. And I miss that too. I know you're busy…as am I, but you're still my brother. I miss you, pal."

The duo reunited when Ackles directed an episode of Padalecki’s series Walker in April 2022.

In 2018, Padalecki opened up a '90s-themed bar in Austin, Texas, titled Stereotype. The following year, Padalecki was taken into custody for public intoxication and assault with injury charges following a physical altercation at his bar. He was charged with two misdemeanor counts and later addressed the situation.  "I think what happened is I just was blacked out — didn't know what was going on. I saw me getting pulled down by my hair in the video and then I think I thought I was in a fight," Padalecki explained during the "Inside Of You" podcast in September 2020, noting that he watched TMZ footage from that night to piece together what happened. "I thought I was being attacked, I thought I was being shoved and pushed." At the time, Padalecki admitted that he hadn't "had a drink since" the incident.   Uncredited/AP/Shutterstock

Ahead of The Winchesters' pilot order, Ackles took to social media to confirm that the former costars were on good terms once again.   Jack Rowand/The CW

Nina Dobrev and Shaun White Cuddle Up to One Another at Coachella

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 01:41 PM PDT

More than a summer fling! Nina Dobrev and Shaun White's whirlwind romance has gotten very serious, very quickly.

The Vampire Diaries alum and the professional snowboarder sparked dating rumors in February 2020 when fans noticed that they had shared similar photos from a trip to South Africa. One month later, they were photographed together for the first time during a bike ride in Malibu.

Us Weekly broke the news in April 2020 that Dobrev and White were, in fact, a couple. A source said at the time, "They're enjoying their time together and getting to know each other better. Nina really likes Shaun, and they both laugh a lot together."

The actress made their relationship Instagram official in May 2020 when she shared a photo of herself holding a pair of scissors while the athlete jokingly looked afraid. White later uploaded a video of Dobrev changing up his look, which he captioned, "My hairstylist said he wouldn't, so she did. #QuarantineCuts."

An insider exclusively revealed to Us at the time that the duo were "living together" amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "They're super compatible and both free-spirited people," the insider added. "They're very comfortable around each other and both supportive of one another in their fields."

Things heated up between Dobrev and White in August 2020 when they took a trip to Tulum, Mexico, where they were spotted getting cozy on a beach and in the water.

"Nina and Shaun have gotten really close during the quarantine and have been having the best time traveling together," a source exclusively told Us. "Shaun is super happy and loving life."

As the couple's romance has developed, they've become pros at balancing busy schedules and making time to see one another.

"We have a nice little system of how to stay in touch," White exclusively told Us Weekly about how the duo manages long-distance dating in October 2021. "Plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity that we can go see one another. So, I know during the holiday break, we're going to meet up, and we're going to meet up again probably around Christmas time. Anything that happens in between, then I'll jet over and see her. You just make it work."

He added at the time: "I think that's the goal of it all and the key to it all is just making the time. [Nina’s] super organized and on top of it, so I give it to her. She always finds a way to make it happen."

The Degrassi: The Next Generation alum previously dated her Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder from 2011 to 2013, Bridge of Spies actor Austin Stowell from 2015 to 2016 and former Scream Queens star Glen Powell for most of 2017. ‘Loved’! Bella Hadid and Marc Kalman’s Relationship Timeline

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 01:18 PM PDT

Happy and healthy. Bella Hadid and Marc Kalman have chosen to keep their relationship private after sparking romance speculation in summer 2020.

After having a very public relationship with The Weeknd — the two dated on and off for four years before their August 2019 split — Hadid has remained somewhat tight-lipped about her new beau.

Hadid and Kalman were first linked in July 2020 after being spotted having a meal together in New York City.

While eagle-eyed fans noticed the model out on occasion with the art director on and off during 2020, it wasn't until July 2021 that Hadid confirmed the romance.

"Time of my life ⏳🍾," she wrote via Instagram at the time. "Healthy, Working and Loved ❤️‍🔥🌹."

Hadid shared a blurry snap getting cozy with Kalman, marking the couple's Instagram debut. The picture, which has since been deleted, was taken in France while the pair were in town for the Cannes Film Festival.

Six months later, Hadid opened up about her past relationships and dynamic with men, pointing to a more positive romance with Kalman.

"I grew up around men — whether that was in relationships or family or whatever that was — where I was constantly told that my voice was less important than their voice," she revealed during a January 2022 appearance on Victoria's Secret's "VS Voices" podcast. "Not having the boundaries of being able to stick up for myself and have my voice being heard affected me in my adult relationships very intensely."

She recalled her nervous system crashing as a result of the negative experiences. "It was fight or flight. … That's something I really had to work on, where I constantly went back to men – and also women – that had abused me, and that's where the people-pleasing came in," Hadid added.

The Parsons School of Design student noted that for a long time she didn't have "boundaries" in both personal and professional scenarios. Hadid explained that she has since gone to therapy to find balance.

The following month, Hadid gushed over her guy via her Instagram Story on Valentine's Day, calling Kalman her "fav dinner date." She shared a kissing snap of the duo, captioning it, "To my bestie in a Tessie."

The public company will be purchased for $54.20 per share in cash, and the company will then be privately held by the Tesla CEO, who is the world’s richest man at age 50.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said in a press release announcing his purchase on Monday.

He went on to note that he intends to make some big changes. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans,” he explained. “Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”

Bret Taylor, Twitter’s Independent Board Chair, added in a statement, “The Twitter Board conducted a thoughtful and comprehensive process to assess Elon’s proposal with a deliberate focus on value, certainty, and financing. The proposed transaction will deliver a substantial cash premium, and we believe it is the best path forward for Twitter’s stockholders.”

Musk bought nine percent of Twitter shares earlier this month and was offered a spot on the board of directors after becoming the company’s largest stakeholder. The SpaceX CEO initially accepted the spot, which was contingent on a background check, on the 11-person board on April 5. However, four days later, he turned down the spot on April 9. No reason was given for his rejection.

The position, which was to have had a term ending in 2024, would have required Musk to agree not to own more than 14.9 percent of Twitter's stock or take over the company, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, The New York Times reports.

The soon-to-be Twitter owner is also a dad. He shares twin sons Xavier and Griffin, both 18, as well as triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, who are 16, with ex-wife Justine Wilson. The pair were married from 2000 to 2008, and Musk moved on with Talulah Riley and Amber Heard before romancing Grimes. He and the musician, 34, went public with their relationship in 2018 and share son X AE A X-II, 23 months and daughter Exa Dark Slideræl, 4 months.

Grimes and Musk split in September 2021, three months before she gave birth to their daughter, but the pair have since reunited. "I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we're very fluid," Grimes told Vanity Fair in March 2022 of her relationship status with the tech investor. "We live in separate houses. We're best friends. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own thing going on, and I don't expect other people to understand."

The “Oblivion” singer tweeted that the interview was already outdated on March 10. “Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he's my best friend and the love of my life,” she wrote.

Below Deck Down Under's Chef Ryan Mocks Hannah Ferrier for Defending Aesha

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 12:06 PM PDT

Keeping the drama in the Below Deck franchise? Below Deck Down Under‘s Chef Ryan McKeown defended his comments about Aesha Scott when Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Hannah Ferrier came to her former costar’s defense.

McKeown found himself in a social media back and forth with Ferrier, 35, after he shared his thoughts on working with Scott. "Right now [Aesha's] whole life is Bravo. And if she's OK with it, I'm happy for her. But I live a real life,” the chef said during an episode of the “POP-OFF! Podcast with James” earlier this month. “I work very hard. I live a f–king good life … I have zero regrets [about my behavior on Below Deck Down Under], not even a letter."

Ferrier, for her part, later commented on a clip via Instagram, writing, "'[Aesha's] whole life is bravo' — yeah — apart from the part where she spends 10 months a year traveling the world adventure exploring with her hubby to be. Apart from that — her whole life is bravo 🙄."

The Peacock personality responded, "Wait. What did you get fired for again 😂." After the podcast host asked McKeown to "be nice" to the former Below Deck Med chief stew, he added, "I'll pass on that."

The Philadelphia native’s comments come after his appearance during season 1 of Below Deck Down Under became a topic of conversation. The chef found himself at odds with Scott and Captain Jason Chambers when not all the charter guests were happy with his meals.

Ahead of the reality show’s premiere, Scott opened up about her ups and downs with her “difficult” cast member. “If arrogant was, like, personified, it would be Ryan. He’s a very arrogant man,” the Below Deck Down Under chief stew exclusively told Us Weekly last month. “I think that that’s something that everyone — not just as a chef — it’s kind of difficult to be around anyone that’s arrogant.”

The New Zealand added: “For me, I’ve been doing yachting for a long time and every chef is a difficult toddler. I don’t know why that’s just how they are. So, he was no different. I kind of expect it from every chef I work with.”

At the time, Chambers also weighed in on how McKeown’s attitude stirred up issues onboard. “I like everyone. We all had a great time. [Ryan’s] food was great and you saw in the first episode that the guests responded to his food,” the captain told Us that same month, noting that McKeown tends to “stir up drama” the most. “Every crew battles fatigue and working environments change and attitudes change. And then when the attitude changes, as I said, they lose focus.”

The Australia native revealed that he wasn’t going to keep a crew member if they didn’t deliver at their job. Viewers previously saw Chambers texting another chef to stick around in case McKeown couldn’t last the charter season.

“In the yachting industry, there’s gonna be ups and downs. We’re trying to achieve the high standard in hospitality and these guests are paying money and we need to constantly not lose that focus,” he shared with Us in March. “If people can’t see that, or they have an attitude against that, as a captain, I have to make changes.”

Even though Scott hasn’t publicly addressed the drama, her friendship with Ferrier was documented during season 4 of Below Deck Med. The costars both also appeared in season 5, with Scott joining the yacht after Ferrier was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn for having Valium and a CBD vape pen in the cabin.

Below Deck Down Under airs new episodes Thursdays on Peacock.

Even the stars take a tumble every once in a while! Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian and Michael B. Jordan are just a few celebrities who've completely wiped out while the cameras have been rolling.

The American Hustle actress had a series of slipping spells in February 2013 while she was on the award show circuit.

Ahead of the 2013 BAFTA Awards, Lawrence attended a dinner with her Silver Linings Playbook costar Bradley Cooper in London but had a bit of a misstep outside the restaurant. Lawrence was spotted tripping on a curb at the time and losing her shoe as fans looked on.

Later that month, the Kentucky native faceplanted at the 2013 Oscars in Hollywood as she walked up accept the award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook.

"You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell — it's really embarrassing," Lawrence said after being helped up and to the podium to receive her award. "This is nuts!"

Two years later, Lawrence's Hunger Games costar Liam Hemsworth revealed whether she really is as clumsy as she seems during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

The Australia native explained that Lawrence falling is "not at all" part of an elaborate act. "She's terrible at walking," he said in November 2015, referencing the time that the actress broke her high heel while walking a red carpet with him.

"She got down the stairs there, and we got to the back of the theater and one of her heels broke, and she went down," Hemsworth recalled of a Hunger Games London premiere. "Thankfully, it was at the back of the theater so only a couple of people saw her. I picked her up and she only has one heel on, so I'm walking her out, [but then] we get outside the theater and a friend of mine comes up and I'm like, 'Hey, good to see you!' and I let go."

Lawrence, for her part, later addressed her tendency to slip, especially during the 2013 Oscars while appearing on the "Absolutely Not with Heather McMahan" podcast in October 2020.

The X-Men: Dark Phoenix star explained that "for a very long time, the fall thing was very sensitive" for her, but she has since started to look back it "fondly." Lawrence also revealed that she and Anderson Cooper had a bit of a fallout after the incident when he claimed that she was faking it.

"It was so devastating because it was this horrific humiliation to me," she recalled, noting she eventually spoke with Cooper about his comments. "I don't know if I'll ever have a chance to give a speech like that again, so it didn't feel good for me not to have a speech." Cooper later apologized for saying she was faking the whole thing, with Lawrence adding, "I think we're good friends now."

Thandiwe Newton Kisses Lonr Amid Ol Parker Split Rumors, ‘Magic Mike’ Exit

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 11:47 AM PDT

Moving on? Thandiwe Newton seemingly confirmed the end of her marriage to Ol Parkerwhen she was spotted kissing Lonr in April.

The 49-year-old actress turned heads on April 23 when she was photographing making out with the 25-year-old musician (real name Elijah Dias) out in Malibu, California.

The duo were seen holding hands as they roamed the city. Newton, who was not wearing her wedding ring, wore a green tiger-striped fleece jacket, green pants and matching hat as she walked with the "Make the Most" singer.

Lonr, for his part, wore a black hoodie, burgundy pants and a crossbody bag while holding on tight to the Solo: A Star Wars Story actress.

The twosome did not hold back as they cuddled up to one another before and after grabbing beverages at a local Peete's Coffee location, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

The PDA-filled outing came just days after Newton's husband of 23 years was photographed in London without his wedding ring. Eagle-eyed fans have since pointed out that the seemingly estranged couple haven't been seen together in public since spring 2020.

The God's Country star and the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again writer and director, 52, first sparked split speculation in early April after Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed Newton's departure from the third Magic Mike film for personal reasons.

A spokesperson for the studio issued a statement to Variety on April 13, stating, "Thandiwe Newton has made the difficult decision to step away from the production of Warner Bros. Pictures' Magic Mike's Last Dance to deal with family matters." She was replaced by Salma Hayek.

Newton and Parker tied the knot in 1998 and welcomed three children: daughters Ripley and Nico and son Booker in 2000, 2004 and 2014, respectively.

The Reminiscence actress previously gave fans a glimpse at her very private relationship with Parker during a May 2011 interview with InStyle UK.

"Ol has a very dry sense of humor. We are very different characters but very good friends," the Rogue alum said at the time. "We've both had a degree of pain in our lives, which I think is the best teacher there is. We don't expect to be happy every day."

Us Weekly has reached out to Newton’s rep for comment.

Robin Roberts Holds Back Tears Discussing Her Partner Amber's Cancer Battle

Emotional support. Robin Roberts got choked up when discussing partner Amber Laign's current battle with breast cancer — a journey the Good Morning America host, herself a breast cancer survivor, knows all too well.

"I haven't talked about it much, but with you I will," the television journalist, 61, told Ellen DeGeneres about Laign's health while holding back tears in a clip from the comedian’s talk show shared on Friday, April 22.

"She's doing well, which is great," Roberts said of the massage therapist, 47 — her partner of 17 years — noting the difference between being in the caregiver role this time.

“I went through it twice, barely shed a tear,” she explained. “I’m a puddle every time I think about what Amber is going through. But she is being so courageous and is handling it extremely well.”

Despite a blip in Laign's treatment plan — Roberts told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month that her partner's chemotherapy sessions are paused for now due to "complications" — "the prognosis is good for her," the GMA anchor told DeGeneres, 64.

The Alabama native has been open about her own health issues throughout the years, including her own breast cancer diagnosis in 2007. She later battled a rare bone marrow disease, myelodysplastic syndrome, taking a leave of absence from GMA in 2012.

"I am doing so well," the Brighter by the Day author told Us Weekly in January 2020. "I'm just very grateful to be doing as well as I am."

The fact that the couple have been down this road before is only helpful, Roberts explained to DeGeneres — particularly for the ABC personality, who wants to emulate the strength and comfort Laign provided to her when she was fighting her own health battles.

“I’m able to kind of give her a roadmap because I’ve gone through it, but she’s also given me a roadmap on how to be a caregiver,” Roberts remarked. “And I didn’t realize how much I had blocked out during my journey, and it was because of sweet Amber — because she protected me and navigated for me. So, I’m doing the same thing for her.”

The journalist further emphasized the importance of going to the doctor, something she pointed out that Laign had put off due to the pandemic.

"Get those regular exams," Roberts noted. "It can save your life."

While the two have weathered their fair share of health problems throughout their relationship, Roberts' motto — which she shared with Us in January 2020 — helps to get her through it all.

"My life lesson is 'This too shall pass,'" she told Us at the time. "I'm a living, breathing example of 'This too shall pass.' I have a little placard in my dressing room that says, 'This too shall pass. … Now would be good.' We want to get through it, but I understand that the reason why things are placed in our path is for us to learn from and to share with others."

A Timeline of Ben Affleck’s Time on Raya

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 10:32 AM PDT

While Ben Affleck's stint on Raya may have been brief, his time on the dating app made a lot of waves over the years.

The actor's online activity first made headlines in 2019 when he appeared to confirm a report about using the celebrity dating app to look for love.

"HA, you got me. I'm dating," he wrote in a statement at the time, before using the attention on his love life to shed light on his work with The Midnight Mission. "But let's be serious for a moment and talk about something that is actually important. I have been in recovery for over a year and part of that is helping out others. The Midnight Mission is an incredible organization that helps those in need with housing, training, development and recovery."

Affleck's rare comment about his personal life came after his split from Lindsay Shookus, whom he dated on and off for two years. He was also briefly linked to Playboy model Shauna Sexton in 2018 following his divorce from Jennifer Garner.

The Oscar winner and the Alias alum were married from 2005 to 2015, finalizing their divorce in 2018. The former spouses share three kids: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

The biggest regret of my life is this divorce. Shame is really toxic. There is no positive by-product of shame. It is just a toxic and hideous feeling of low self-esteem," he told The New York Times in 2020. “It’s not particularly healthy for me to be obsessed with failures, relapses, and hurt myself. I certainly made mistakes. I certainly did things I regret. But you need to compose yourself, learn from it, learn a little more, try to keep going ahead."

Affleck subsequently dated his Deep Water costar Ana de Armas for nearly one year. While the pair's split made headlines in January 2021, it wasn't long before the Argo director was off the market again — reconnecting with former fiancée Jennifer Lopez. The twosome were officially back on in spring 2021, nearly two decades after ending their first engagement. In April 2022, Affleck proposed to Lopez again.

Not long after Bennifer's reunion, however, the Tender Bar star's Raya use was in the news again after Selling Sunset's Emma Hernan claimed during season 5 that she matched with the director.

"He may or may not have been texting me," the real estate agent said during the April 2022 episode, which seemingly filmed in fall 2021. "He may or may not have asked to grab … coffee a few times."

Affleck's rep released a statement after the season dropped on Netflix: "Raya has confirmed that he has not been an active member for several years."

Hernan isn't the only one who has claimed to match with Affleck on Raya, however. Scroll through for more on Affleck's time on the dating app:

Leaving the App
“I am not on any websites, I am on no dating apps, not Tinder, Grindr, Brindr, Bumble, Humble,” Affleck said on Good Morning America in February 2020. “I am not on any of them. I don’t have any judgement about people who are — I know people who are on them and have a fun time, but that’s not me. I would love to have a relationship that is deeply meaningful and one to which I could be deeply committed.” Andy Kropa/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

The comedian went viral in May 2021 when she posted a video on TikTok that read: “Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he send me a video on Instagram.” The clip subsequently cut to Affleck’s alleged video message. “Nivine, why did you unmatch me?” he said. “It’s me!” Courtesy Nivine Jay/TikTok
Denying Emma Hernan's Story
Hernan claimed in an April 2022 episode of Selling Sunset that she matched with Affleck before he got back together with Lopez. The Netflix star told Chrishell Stause that she and Affleck “have the Boston connection,” calling his messages “nice” and noting he was “very sweet.” His rep then released a statement denying that he’s been on the app in recent years. Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 10:23 AM PDT

Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are one of several Vanderpump Rules couples who’ve walked down the aisle … but their nuptials didn’t play out on the Bravo series.

Before introducing fans to Beau on season 7 of the Bravo series, the former SURver documented messy relationships with Jax Taylor, Frank Herlihy and Patrick Meagher on the show.

Us Weekly broke the news in February 2018 that Stassi started seeing the casting agent following her split from Patrick. The news came six months after the radio host dumped the Next Level Basic author on their four-year anniversary.

"Broken up with on our anniversary after I planned a trip for us to Mexico," Stassi tweeted in August 2017. “Call me Carrie Bradshaw. @rachaelnobrien you're coming w me now."

Three months later, the reality star opened up to Us about the unexpected breakup.

"Well, we've had an up and down relationship from the beginning, and it was kind of our pattern obviously, to break up and make up," Stassi told Us in August 2017. "But this time was, to me, a shock. Like the real, full breakup. … Once you try twice, like really give it two really good shots, you know? You're not supposed to be together."

Stassi's costars Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney not only helped her get over the tumultuous split, but also introduced her to Beau.

"I feel really lucky right now. I haven't had a relationship like this," she gushed to Us in June 2018. "I didn't know that I could find someone that we'd just be best friends and love each other and he'd be so nice to me and supportive."

Even Lisa Vanderpump approves of Stassi and Beau’s union.

"You're going to ask her to marry you, aren't you?" the SUR boss asked Beau during the season 7 finale.

After Beau confirmed his plans to propose, Lisa raved about their relationship in a confessional: "Beau listens to Stassi. He nurtures her, he cares for her. He loves her more than she loves herself."

After watching Beau pop the question during season 8, the couple planned to document their nuptials on the following season of Vanderpump Rules. After racially insensitive remarks from Stassi's past resurfaced in June 2020, however, Bravo cut ties with the longtime star.

Several Vanderpump Rules stars told Us that Stassi and Beau will be the next pair to wed from the series in November 2018. “We think Beau is great, we’re so happy for them, I think they’re so adorable how they dress up together and do all kinds of stuff like that. I think they’re great for each other,” Brittany Cartwright gushed. Jax Taylor added, “I love Beau. In fact, him and I get along so well. He’s just a very easygoing guy. He’s basically the polar opposite of Stassi, which I think that’s what she needs. It’s kind of an opposites attract situation there. … Finally she’s got a good guy, she’s got a great guy and they both really love each other.” E! Entertainment/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images

Stassi revealed at BravoCon in November 2019 that the twosome were set to wed in Rome in October 2020. “The No. 1 thing that we know for sure about our wedding is we don’t want to sweat,” she said at their panel. “Beau and I agreed on, right when we got engaged, that we don’t want to sweat at our wedding. We are not going to sweat, no one at my wedding is going to sweat. … It’s going to be crisp, fall wedding!” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

As the twosome geared up to watch their romantic proposal on Vanderpump Rules, which aired months after Beau got down on one knee, they were also faced with criticism. On the April 21, 2020, episode of the show, fans saw the couple argue over Kristen the night before he popped the question. “You can go home to Kristen or you can go home to me,” she screamed on the episode. “I feel so embarrassed and so weird and I can’t believe you’re doing this to me right now. I am upset and you refuse to look at me! I am your f–king person, am I not? Am I not? Beau, am I not?” After the episode aired, Beau took to Twitter, writing, “OK I’m drunk. I’m annoyed. You don’t know me. I’m happy in my relationship! I can psychoanalyze myself without your DM’s or comments. I still have my balls ass wads! (I love that word – ass wads).” Shutterstock (2)

After news broke that Stassi was fired from Bravo — and lost her podcast and PR agency — a source told Us that she was leaning on Beau. “Beau has been being her rock throughout all of this and she’s been grateful to have his support,” the insider told Us. “Professionally speaking, Vanderpump Rules and her podcast were her main priorities and she loved working on both.” A second insider noted at the time that she was “surprised and upset” by the network’s decision. “Stassi was not expecting to be fired. She lost a lot of money from losing sponsorships and paid opportunities,” the second source said. The insider also noted, however, that she and Beau had saved a lot of money in recent years. The commercial casting director, 42, revealed the news in an Instagram Story post on Friday, April 22. “Can’t wait to marry this woman (again) in 3 weeks,” the podcast cohost wrote alongside a photo of the Vanderpump Rules alum, 33, having her highlights done.

The Next Level Basic author and Clark originally planned to tie the knot in Rome, Italy, in October 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic forced them to rethink that plan. The duo eventually decided to wed in a casual backyard ceremony in September 2020.

“Today would've been our wedding day,” Schroeder wrote via Instagram one month later, sharing footage from the intimate event. “We went and did it anyway.”

In June 2020, Us Weekly broke the news that the former Bravo personality was expecting her first child with Clark nearly one year after he popped the question. The pair welcomed daughter Hartford, now 15 months, in January 2021.

Earlier this month, Schroeder confirmed that the second wedding will be in Europe. “Decided to put on this iconic KUWTK wedding episode to get inspired for our upcoming European nuptials,” she wrote in an Instagram Story at the time. The post included a screenshot of the season 9 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that documented Kim Kardashian‘s wedding to Kanye West.

Though their wedding delay wasn’t ideal, Schroeder and Clark have weathered plenty of ups and downs since they started dating in February 2018. Shortly before the Off With Her Head author confirmed that she was expecting a baby girl, she was fired from Vanderpump Rules after Faith Stowers revealed that Schroeder and Kristen Doute falsely reported her to the police for a crime she didn’t commit.

"Beau has been her rock throughout all of this and she's been grateful to have his support," an insider told Us in June 2020. "Professionally speaking, Vanderpump Rules and her podcast were her main priorities and she loved working on both."

Bravo also fired Doute, 39, at the time, as well as Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni. Schroeder, for her part, was dropped by her PR agency, and her podcast, “Straight Up With Stassi,” was canceled and removed from all streaming platforms.

"Stassi was not expecting to be fired,” a second source told Us at the time. “She lost a lot of money from losing sponsorships and paid opportunities.”

After Stowers, 33, went public with her claims, Schroeder issued a public apology to the former SURver.

"Racially insensitive comments from my past have resurfaced," she wrote via Instagram in June 2020. "I am grateful for the people in my life that continue to check me and push me to evolve into a more educated person. … What I did to Faith was wrong. I apologize and I do not expect forgiveness."

Sharon Osbourne Slams 'Hypocrites' Who Gave Will Smith Standing Ovation

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 10:14 AM PDT

The slap heard 'round the world. Will Smith stunned the star-studded audience — and everyone watching at home — when he took to the stage and smacked Chris Rock across the face after the comedian made a "joke" about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair loss at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday, March 27.

"Jada, I love you," the comedian said from the stage, quipping, "G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it," referring to the actress' buzzed head, as G.I. Jane star Demi Moore wore a similar style. (Pinkett Smith, 50, has often been open about losing her hair due to alopecia.)

As the camera cut to the Smiths, the King Richard star, 53 — who later won the Oscar for best actor — seemed to smile at Rock's joke, while Pinkett Smith intensely rolled her eyes. Though it initially seemed that Smith was OK with the quip, he quickly walked onstage and slapped the Longest Yard actor, 57, across the face. Once he returned to his seat, he yelled, "Keep my wife's name out of your f–king mouth.”

"Wow. Will Smith just smacked the s–t outta me," Rock said to the audience before returning to handing out the award for best documentary.

For his part, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum later referenced — and apologized for — the altercation in his speech when accepting his Oscar for King Richard.

"Oh, man. Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family," Smith said, relating his behavior to that of Serena and Venus Williams' father, the role he played in the film. "I'm being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people. I know to do what we do, you got to be able to take abuse. You got to be able to have people talk crazy about you. In this business you got to be able to have people disrespecting you. And you got to smile, you got to pretend like that's OK."

The 7 Pounds actor also apologized to several people for his behavior — though not explicitly to Rock.

"I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees," he added. "Art imitates life: I look like the crazy father. Just like they said about Richard Williams. But love will make you do crazy things."

He later apologized directly to the presenter the following day in a lengthy statement. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris,” Smith wrote via Instagram on March 28. “I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

Stars who were both in attendance and watching at home had a lot to say about the drama — from Rock's "joke" to Smith's slap. Scroll below to see how celebrities reacted to the incident:

Sharon Osbourne
The former Talk cohost shared her thoughts on the slap in an April interview with the The Sunday Times. “When he wins [the Best Actor award], everybody stands up. It’s, like, you’re such hypocrites," she said. "You’re going to go home and say how disgraceful his behavior was, but you stand up and give him a standing ovation. You know, it’s like I’ve always said, in this industry, if people could make a buck off you … if Hitler were alive today, they would give him a TV show.” David Buchan/Shutterstock
Terry Crews
"Both Will Smith and Chris Rock are dear, dear friends of mine," the Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum told The Hollywood Reporter in an April 22 interview. "I love them both as brothers, but there was a time in my life [where] I was Will Smith at that moment and let me tell you, I’ve done worse than Will — way overkill, just … the punishment did not fit the crime." He continued, praising Rock for his composure, "But the true definition of toughness was what Chris did in taking a punch and then holding everything together and then showing tremendous endurance and resilience in the middle of obstacles. … I’m very thankful to Chris, but also I understand Will. I’m not [one] to demonize Will at all because I was there.” Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Three weeks after the former NBA player wrote an op-ed about the altercation between Smith and Rock, Abdul-Jabbar shared his concern for Pinkett Smith and her feelings. "I just felt that Will's wife really should have been given some consideration as to, you know, how she felt about it and what she wanted to do about it," he told Entertainment Tonight about the Matrix star's reaction to Rock's joke. "I mean [people] just ignored her altogether and I didn't think that made much sense. You know, she's the one that would've been offended if it was offensive. It wasn't like somebody, like, riding her. ... You never know what people are thinking. That's how I see it." AFF-USA/Shutterstock
Gayle King
"I think the whole thing is so unfortunate," the journalist told Entertainment Tonight while attending the 2022 CMT Music Awards in April. "I think there have to be consequences to your actions. I have no idea what's right [or] what's wrong, I don't. But the whole thing makes me so sad, because I like them both." King said that she's "pulling" for Rock, adding, "I just want him to be fine. And it seems Will is very regretful and very remorseful, and that's an important first step." John Amis/AP/Shutterstock
Michael Bay
"I've worked with him, he is not that guy," the Bad Boys director told Yahoo Entertainment of Smith, confessing that he thought the slap was a bit at first. "I've never seen him lose his cool like that. I thought it was set up 'cause I saw the smirk, and I've been on set when Will screws with people, when he's joking with people." Bay said that Smith's reaction was "wrong," but also noted that there are bigger issues in the world that deserve attention. "But that's all people are talking about," he added. "And I don’t really care. Hollywood gets really self-absorbed. There are babies getting blown up in Ukraine right now. We should be talking about that." Scott Garfitt/Shutterstock
Rachel Zegler
The West Side Story actress was asked about the Oscars drama on the red carpet at the 2022 Grammys, telling Extra, "I feel like it's none of my business." Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock
Bill Maher
The April 1 episode of HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher addressed the host's feelings about the slap. “To Will Smith: stay strong and I got your back," Maher said. “April Fools. You’re a d--k.” Maher then said he had trouble feeling sorry for Pinkett Smith. "Comparing a woman to Demi Moore looking her hottest is not exactly the worst insult I've ever heard. I mean, Alopecia is not leukemia,” he added. Casey Curry/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Sheryl Underwood
“I’m going to say this as a comic, I am afraid now to get on a stage,” Underwood said on The Talk in April 2022. “Because in my third show, when everyone’s been drinking. If you don’t like my joke, do you now believe that you can get up and slap me?” Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock
Amanda Seyfried
The Dropout star threw shade at both Smith and the Academy on Wednesday, March 30, when she posted a photo of the actor dancing with his award at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. "Also pretty certain the Academy didn't tell him to f--k off before his win," Seyfried claimed via her Instagram Story. Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Daniel Radcliffe
Radcliffe declined to weigh in on the situation during his Thursday, March 31, appearance on Good Morning Britain. "I’m just so already dramatically bored of hearing people’s opinions about it that I just don’t want to be another opinion adding to it," the Harry Potter star explained. He did, however, sympathize with everyone in the audience that night who witnessed the uncomfortable moment, adding, "When you’re going on stuff as a kid you’re never quite sure if the joke’s with you or you’re the butt of the joke. So you sort of have a mode of just being like, ‘I’ll just keep smiling and laughing and maybe it’ll end soon.'” Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock
Joseph Patel
The Summer of Soul producer — who took home the Best Documentary Feature trophy alongside Questlove — slammed both Smith and Rock for overshadowing the exciting moment in a series of since-deleted tweets on Thursday. When the film was announced as the winner, the comedian said the award would go to "Questlove and four white guys," when in fact it went to the Roots frontman, Patel, Robert Fyvolent and David Dinerstein, only the latter two of whom are white. "The reason that makes me SO SO VERY ANGRY is because I was so proud to be one of a handful of South Asians to have ever won an Oscar in the history of the award," Patel wrote via Twitter, adding that he was also the third South Asian artist to win that night. "That's never happened before! And it's meaningful! It's history!" Though he acknowledged that Rock was in a stressful situation when he made the quip, Patel still shared his frustration with the entire incident, noting, "I'm angry. Angry at Will Smith. Angry at Chris Rock. Angry for me. Angry for Ahmir. Angry for my fellow filmmakers." Kristina Bumphrey/Shutterstock
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
“When Will Smith stormed onto the Oscar stage to strike Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife’s short hair, he did a lot more damage than just to Rock’s face,” the NBA legend wrote via a Substack essay on Monday, March 28. “With a single petulant blow, he advocated violence, diminished women, insulted the entertainment industry, and perpetuated stereotypes about the Black community.” He continued: “I don’t want to see [Smith] punished or ostracized because of this one, albeit a big one, mistake. I just want this to be a cautionary tale for others not to romanticize or glorify bad behavior. And I want Smith to be the man who really protects others — by admitting the harm he’s done to others.” Stewart Cook/Shutterstock
Lamar Odom
“He loves his wife. I do not condone violence against anyone,” the former Los Angeles Lakers athlete captioned a Tuesday, March 29, Instagram snap. “@willsmith loves @jadapinkettsmith. I was told love covers a multitude of sins.♥️… Had I protected my wife [ex Khloé Kardashian] versus mentally, emotionally and spiritually hurting her, I may still be married.” John Salangsang/Shutterstock
Bethenny Frankel
“You have a presenter that’s working for you at The Academy. … They are working for you. They touch somebody, they punch somebody, they slap somebody. You have the person removed,” the Real Housewives of New York City alum said on a Tuesday, March 29, episode of her “Just B” podcast. “You give them their award separately. It’s not like, ‘Oh, hey, I know you just smacked somebody presenting, but now we’re going to give you an award.’” Frankel continued: “It’s awkward at best. I did not see the whole show. But from what I understand, that’s what happened. I can’t overstate the fact that you just can’t touch another person. It’s a bad example for your kids. It’s a bad example for America.” John Salangsang/Shutterstock
Zoe Kravitz
"Here's a picture of my dress at the show where we are apparently assaulting people on stage now," the Batman star captioned a red carpet photo via Instagram on Tuesday, March 29. Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock
Tim Allen
The Home Improvement alum tweeted, "It's not ok to come up on stage and hit a dude cause you don't like the humor. It's not ok at a Comedy Club, concert hall or hosting some cheeseball award show. Chris Rock is a stand up comedian and a standup guy who carried on. I think I would have run." MediaPunch/Shutterstock
Alec Baldwin
"I am not reading much about how, or even if, the producers attended to Chris," the 30 Rock alum tweeted, later sharing a screenshot of the post via his Instagram account. "But I love you, @chrisrock. And I'm sorry the Oscars turned into the Jerry Springer show." John Salangsang/Shutterstock
Mark Hamill
The Star Wars actor tweeted a photo of the smackdown, writing, "Stand-up comics are very adept at handling hecklers. Violent physical assault... not so much. #UgliestOscarMoment_Ever." Todd Williamson/January Images/Shutterstock
Jodie Turner-Smith
The Queen & Slim star was "still processing" the heated moment after the ceremony, tweeting, "I have second hand embarrassment for all involved." Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock
Jimmy Fallon
"America may be divided, but it was kind of nice for all of us to come together and say, 'holy crap' at the same time," the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon host quipped during his monologue one day after the awards show. "Of course, I have to address the big moment that everyone's talking about, and that is Questlove winning the Oscar for best documentary!" Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock
James Corden
The U.K. native told Late Late Show With James Corden viewers that the "whole incident threw me off in a huge way" while discussing the ceremony on his show. "Also completely ruined my chances in the Oscar pool. I had Dame Judi Dench smacking Woody Harrelson," he teased, going on to praise Rock for "keeping the show moving." Magnus Sundholm/Shutterstock
Stephen Colbert
"Let me say something as an objective observer: It's never OK to punch a comedian," the writer said on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. "Will Smith was offended by the joke and wanted to stand up for his wife. Fine. Challenge Chris to a duel or, if you really want to hurt a comedian, don't laugh. That hurts way more than a punch, I promise you." Omar Vega/JanuaryImages/Shutterstock
Seth Meyers
The former Saturday Night Live cast member joked that "the last thing" he'd expect at the Academy Awards "was a display of narcissism," adding, "The 94th Academy Awards were held last night and featured the first live performance of 'We Don't Talk About Bruno,' from the Disney musical Encanto, followed by an unbelievable live performance of 'We Don't Talk About Jada.'" “I just sat down ’cause I was like, ‘I gotta put that drink down,'” the tennis star — whose father, Richard Williams, was depicted by Smith in King Richard — said via a since-deleted Instagram Story. Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock
‘The View’ Cohosts
“I think Will was immature, I think he was childish and he was violent,” Sunny Hostin said on the show. Whoopi Goldberg, an Academy governor weighed in on the idea of the Academy taking away his Oscar. “There will be consequences I’m sure, but I don’t think that’s what they’re going to do, particularly because Chris said ‘Listen, I’m not pressing any charges,’” she said. Ana Navarro didn't mince words. "Hitting somebody is a crime, a crime of assault. While she called Rock's quip “a lame joke, a joke in very poor taste,” she believes the slap and the remark were “not equivalent.” Joy Behar discussed the impact on comedians. “They want us [comedians] to be edgy, to go out there and say what everyone’s thinking … and then they get mad.” Shutterstock (2)
Janet Hubert
“There is only so much one can take… sometimes you have to slap back,” the actress, who portrayed Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, tweeted. “Celebrate the win… nothing else matters. Both actions were incorrect but Chris didn’t need to go there.” Marion Curtis/StarPix for HBOmax/Shutterstock

The entrepreneur attempted to play peacemaker after the incident when presenting The Godfather tribute on stage. “OK, Will and Chris, we’re going to solve that like family at the Gold Party, OK?" the rapper said. Nick Viall
When asked how the altercation compared to Bachelor Nation drama, the "Viall Files" podcast host told Us that the Oscars moment was "way more dramatic" than the reality dating show. "He walked up on stage and slapped him," Viall said at the 30th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday. "I think most people just wondered if it was like a bit or a joke, if it was fake. I think pretty quickly we realized it was serious." The ABC personality noted that the situation was "unfortunate" on several levels. "Chris Rock is there to be a comedian. He tells jokes, obviously, you know, there's always going to be some at the expense of people. ... Everyone has a right to feel though how they feel, and we have our hurt feelings, but how we handle our hurt feelings matters," Viall told Us. "I don't know if Will handled it the best. But his performance [in King Richard] was amazing. Congrats to him for winning the Oscar, certainly well-deserved in his performance. It just — I feel like it took away from his moment. I feel like more people are going to be talking about that than his award. And that's unfortunate for everyone." Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

"I love Chris Rock. I don’t think he would’ve made that joke had he known what Jada recently shared- but between him & the whole team @ the #Oscars you mean to tell me not ONE of y’all heard this woman just share this heartbreaking story? #ComeOnSon," the rapper wrote on Twitter. " .... You just got to witness in real time what happens in a man’s soul when he looks over to the woman he loves & sees her holding back tears from a “little joke” at her expense. This is what any & every real man feels in that instant. while y’all seeing the joke he’s seeing her pain." Matt Baron/Shutterstock

“Will Smith said ‘Not Today,'" the Good Place alum shared via Twitter, alongside a Malcolm X quote. “This is a sign of great mental illness when you can’t control your impulse," the shock jock said of Smith, seemingly coming to Rock's defense: "Not only that, it was hardly an insulting joke. The former Daily Show host, 59, was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday, April 24, and Davidson, 28, took the stage to thank Stewart for his work advocating for veterans and 9/11 first responders. The Saturday Night Live star’s father was a New York City firefighter who died in the line of duty on September 11, 2001.

The Skims founder, 41, was spotted sitting alongside the comedian at the event, which was also attended by Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Kimmel as well as former Daily Show correspondents Steve Carell, Olivia Munn and Ed Helms.

Kardashian, who began dating Davidson after making her SNL hosting debut in October 2021, recently revealed that she’s been enjoying keeping her new romance out of the spotlight. “I do think that I am holding a little bit more close to my heart on certain aspects of my relationship with Pete,” the Selfish author explained during an appearance on Hoda Kotb‘s “Making Space” podcast earlier this month. "It feels good just to know that, like, we have this connection, and we have our little bubble of a relationship world that we live in that, like, not a lot of people know about."

She continued: "We were driving in the car yesterday and I just, like, looked at him and I was like, 'Thank you.’ And he was like, 'What?' And I was like, 'For running errands with me, like, this is so much fun just to go to a doctor's appointment or go to the dentist and just, like, run errands. I'm having so much fun.’"

While the pair have been frequently spotted out on dinner dates in Davidson’s hometown of Staten Island, the KKW Beauty founder has gushed about how much she enjoys their “super low-key” outings. "Staten Island is an amazing place,” Kardashian said during an April 15 appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan. “We take ferry rides everywhere. It's always been super low-key every time we go to Staten Island.”

Watch Prince William, Kate Dodge Question About Queen Needing Protection

Brushing it off? Prince William and Duchess Kate were asked about Prince Harry‘s recent comment about Queen Elizabeth II‘s inner circle — but the couple seemingly didn’t give it a second thought.

Where Do Harry and Meghan Stand With the Rest of the Royal Family?

The Duke, 39, and Duchess of Cambridge, 40, dodged a question from a reporter while leaving the headquarters of the Disaster Emergency Committee in London shortly after Harry, 37, sat down for an interview with Today‘s Hoda Kotb. William and Kate silently made their way to their car as a reporter shouted, “Sir, does the queen need protecting?”

The awkward interaction followed the Duke of Sussex’s candid conversation at the 2022 Invictus Games, which took place in the Netherlands. While attending the sporting event, Harry opened up about how his life has changed two years after leaving his senior royal role — and spoke about his recent visit to see the queen, 96, with wife Meghan Markle.

“Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her,” the former military pilot gushed about his grandmother during the Wednesday, April 20, broadcast. “She’s on great form. … I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her.”

Harry noted that his relationship with the monarch is “really special,” adding, “We talk about things that she can’t talk about with anybody else.”

Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Harry and Meghan, 40, stopped by Windsor Castle on their way to The Hague. The private meeting marked the first time the Suits alum has returned to the U.K. since her final engagement with her husband as working royals in March 2020. Harry, for his part, briefly stayed in his native country for the late Prince Philip‘s funeral in April 2021 and for the unveiling of a statue honoring Princess Diana several months later.

When asked whether he missed his family in England since relocating to California with Meghan, Harry gave a cryptic response. “Especially over the last two years, for most people, have they not missed their family?” he told Kotb, adding that he feels more at home on the West Coast. “We’ve been welcomed with open arms and have such a great community in Santa Barbara, [California].”

The Archewell cofounder seemingly avoided discussing his tension with William and Prince Charles, with whom he hasn’t seen eye to eye over the past few years. Following Harry’s quick trip to London, a source exclusively revealed that the brothers didn’t reunite at the palace.

“It was purely coincidental,” the insider told Us, explaining that William was on a ski trip when Harry was in town. “Harry is coming back to visit soon and hopes to see William in person. They are trying to figure things out. … Harry and Meghan had a wonderful time seeing the queen again. It was one of the biggest highlights of their year so far.”

When it comes to his relationship with Charles, 73, their dynamic has slightly improved — and the future king may even be willing to work with the Sussexes again someday. “We’ve already heard Charles say he wants to streamline the royal family, [to] modernize it,” royal author Tom Quinn recently told Us. “I think Meghan and Harry are hoping … Charles will be open to [them being] part-time royals, which is what they wanted from the start.”

A Guide to Everyone Who Attended Gigi Hadid’s Star-Studded Birthday Party

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 08:42 AM PDT

Celebrating 27 in style! Gigi Hadid's birthday bash with Bella Hadid, Blake Lively, Emily Ratajkowski, Antoni Porowski and more made waves all weekend.

The model and her A-list friends and family partied at Zero Bond in New York City on Saturday, April 23. Bella, for her part, arrived at the party with boyfriend Marc Kalman. Hours earlier, she paid tribute to her big sister via Instagram.

"Happy Birthday to my big sister @gigihadid thank you for being born so that I could be born that was very sweet of u," the 25-year-old model quipped on the app. "Thank you for being the best sister, mom, daughter, human bean ever. You teach me something new everyday and sometimes I just smile because I feel so lucky to be your baby sister. 🌻🌻🌻"

Bella concluded her message with a joke, writing, "I'm sitting next to you right now so don't make it weird when you read this."

Their mother, Yolanda Hadid, was also at the get-together with boyfriend Joseph Jingoli, while Gigi's brother, Anwar Hadid, and her father, Mohamed Hadid, arrived solo.

Gigi's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Zayn Malik, did not appear to be in attendance. The former couple, who share daughter Khai, 19 months, split in October 2021 amid allegations of an altercation between the former One Direction member and Yolanda.

"As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in," Malik wrote at the time via Instagram. "A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago."

The "Pillow Talk" crooner "adamantly" denied "striking Yolanda Hadid" in a follow-up statement, while Gigi's rep told Us Weekly that she "is solely focused on the best for Khai." Malik, who pleaded no contest to four criminal offenses of harassment, was placed on a 360-day probation, which included a fine, anger management classes, a domestic violence program and an order to have no contact with Yolanda.

While the family has stayed mum on the drama in the following months, Malik returned to Instagram in April after not posting for weeks. He shared a snap of his longer facial hair in the early hours of Sunday, April 24.

Kelly Rizzo Remembers Rainy Days With Late Husband Bob Saget: 'Our Fave'

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 08:13 AM PDT

A journey of healing. Kelly Rizzo has been open about the mourning process following the death of her husband, comedian Bob Saget.

“My whole heart. Bob was my absolute everything,” the Eat Travel Rock founder said in a statement to Us Weekly in January 2022. “I am so completely shattered and in disbelief. I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and tribute from our friends, family, his fans and his peers.”

Saget was pronounced dead at the age of 65 after being found unresponsive in his Florida hotel room on January 9. He was laid to rest one week later in an emotional service attended by his loved ones and Full House costars.

“He put it all out there. He told everyone that he loved, and I mean, quite frankly anyone he met — even spend any time with at all — he told them he loved them endlessly, and tirelessly, and that was his entire message," Rizzo told the Today show in January 2022, in her first interview following the Raising Dad star’s death. “If you knew Bob, and he loved you, you knew it. There was never ever a doubt in your mind.”

She continued: “I mean, even at his memorial, there were a lot of people there and every single person was pretty much like, 'Oh, I talked to Bob last week.' I'm like, 'How did he have the time to talk to everybody and tell everybody that he loved them? All the time.' It was just amazing.”

Saget’s friends and family have included his fans in the mourning process, frequently thanking them for their love and support. “In the weeks since Bob's passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful,” the Saget family told Us in a statement on February 9 while revealing his cause of death.

The statement continued: “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”

Rizzo has also reflected on the ways that being open with her grief has helped her through such a difficult time. “I have been incredibly grateful and appreciative of all of you for the love and support,” the blogger said in a video on her Instagram Story in March 2022. So many people have shared their stories with me of the loss that you've been through, and you've poured out your heart, and it's just really kind that you've tried to help me by sharing your stories.”

‘My Everything’
"My whole heart. Bob was my absolute everything," Rizzo said in a statement to Us the day after Saget's death. "I am so completely shattered and in disbelief. Fond Memories
"After much reflection this week, I’m trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time," she wrote via Instagram in January 2022. "But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH. I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years." Courtesy of Kelly Rizzo/Instagram
‘No Regrets’
"I have no regrets," she explained at the time. "We loved each other so damn much and told each other 500 times every day. Constantly. I know how much he loved me until the very last moment and he knew the same. I’m so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that." Mediapunch/Shutterstock
‘Valued Every Second’
In her first interview following Saget's death, Rizzo reflected on the ways her late husband prioritized their relationship. “He loved to sleep in, but when he was away. … He would go to bed at 2 a.m. and then wake up at 4 a.m., so he could be on the 6 a.m. flight so he could come home and just so we could spend time together. We valued every single second that we had together."   She continued: "I know that every second that we had together was just maximized to the fullest and we absolutely — there was nothing left unsaid, and nothing left on the table. So those are things that I’m just trying to hold onto.” Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
‘Never Be The Same’
Rizzo reflected on the impact Saget had on his fans and loved ones through the years with an emotional tribute on Instagram. "My incredible husband," she wrote in January 2022. "The world will never be the same." Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Trying New Things
“So remember when I said you’ll never see me do standup??” the Chicago native wrote via Instagram, alongside photos taken of her on stage at a tribute event at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles nearly one month after his death. "Well I guess I got a couple jokes in but paying tribute to my legendary and incredible husband on stage at @thecomedystore where his career began over 40 years ago was the honor of my life. I know he would’ve gotten a huge kick out of me being up on stage there backed up by Jim Carrey, @chrisrock @therealjeffreyross @johnmayer and @johnstamos – I know it made him smile big." Living Life to the Fullest
Rizzo marked the one-month anniversary of the loss of her husband by reminiscing about the trips they used to take together. “One month without this incredible man. Bob truly lived life to its fullest," she wrote via Instagram in February 2022. "He had so many hardships over the years that he would always tell me ‘look, life is hard, we need to enjoy it as much as possible.’ And one of the best ways we did that together was sharing and exploring amazing food around the world." Gregg DeGuire/UPI/Shutterstock
Bonding With Others
"Seeing how much of an impact he had on all your lives is life-changing, and [it’s] just immeasurable how much it means to all of us, and especially how much I know it would mean to Bob," Rizzo said in a series of videos on Instagram in March 2022, where she thanked Saget's fans for their love and support. "I don’t think he had any idea that it was to this extent how much of a difference he truly made, and so that is what I am so grateful for, so thank you all for showing me that." A ‘Crash Course’ In Grief
In the same post, she opened up about dealing with grief while being a public figure. "This whole grief thing is something that I’ve learned recently. A lot of people don’t really understand, don’t really like to talk about it. It’s not a very fun topic, but it’s something that at one point or another, we all go through," Rizzo explained. "And even though I’m still very new to this world, I feel I’ve kinda had a crash course in it. Especially doing it very publicly, it adds a whole other level. It takes it to this different place that you understand things in a certain way." London Entertainment/Shutterstock
'You Got This'
Rizzo shared an inspiring message for her followers on International Women's Day, uploading a photo taken in the great outdoors. "Happy International Women’s Day. Ladies, you got this," she wrote via Instagram in March 2022. "Even when the road is rocky, you can still find some sunshine and blue skies. Thank you again to everyone for all of the endless love and support and kind words. (PS. Never underestimate the power of a good hike and some Vitamin D)." Courtesy of Kelly Rizzo/Instagram
A New Universe
“2 whole months. I’ve experienced that now time means nothing and everything at the same time,” Rizzo wrote via Instagram in March 2022. “You count the weeks, and the months, they’re strange and surreal milestones. How can it be 2 months without you?? But also it feels like yesterday you were here- and it still also feels like you never left? I like to say it’s all a very weird new universe. Learning how to navigate it is quite the journey 💫.” Courtesy of Kelly Rizzo/Instagram
On a Rainy Day
"I had the best rainy day friend," Rizzo wrote via her Instagram Story in April 2022 alongside a black-and-white photo of her late husband. "Rainy days were our fave bc [because] we would watch our 'programs' while cuddling on the couch all day." Invision/AP/Shutterstock

"I never thought that we were going to be together," the New Zealand native exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2019.

The Faith, Hope and Love actress noted that when she met Chmerkovskiy, dating "wasn't even a thought that crossed my mind."

The couple did, however, make it down the aisle in July 2017, having a both a small ceremony at City Hall and a 300-guest celebration in New York the same month.

"It was beautiful. He made me cry," Murgatroyd told Us of her husband's vows, noting she spoke about wanting to be with him "until we're old in a rocking chair together."

Former 'Today' Cohost Jim Hartz Dead at 82

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 07:56 AM PDT

Always in our hearts. Hollywood mourned the loss of icons such as Betty White and John Madden in the final days of 2021 — and unfortunately, 2022 also came with celebrity deaths that have fans reeling.

The sports world lost a football great in Dan Reeves who passed away on January 1. The 77-year-old Georgia native appeared in nine Super Bowls during his career — winning once as a player and once as an assistant coach.

As one of the winningest coaches in the league's history, his loss was felt near and far. "The football world lost a heckuva coach and man today in Dan Reeves," former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway said in a statement on January 1. "Dan was a winner and I owe a lot to him. My heart goes out to Pam and the entire Reeves family."

One day later, the Christian music industry lost a beloved musician Jay Weaver. His former Big Daddy Weave bandmate and brother, Mike Weaver, confirmed his passing following COVID-19 complications. Jay was 42.

"Thank you so much for all your prayers for my brother," Mike said in a statement on January 2, after Jay was hospitalized with the virus a few days prior. "You have walked with him through a huge fight, and I'm so sorry to bring this news but I'm also excited to celebrate where he is right now. My brother Jay went to be with Jesus just a couple hours ago due to complications due to COVID-19 on top of everything else that he already had going on."

He continued: “The Lord used [Jay] in such a might way out on the road for so many years … I believe even though COVID may have taken his last breath, Jesus was right there to catch him. My heart’s broke for my family, but we all just really wanted to thank you for walking with us through so much for so long.”

On January 5, the Korean film world mourned the death of a young star in Kim Mi-soo, who passed away at age 29.

"Kim suddenly left us on January 5," the late performer's agency, Landscape Entertainment, said in a statement translated by the publication Korea JoongAng Daily. "The bereaved are deep in their sorrow at the sudden sadness. Please refrain from reporting false rumors or speculation so that the family can mourn in peace."

Sharon Osbourne Received Threats After 'Talk' Exit: It's 'Like I Was Dead'

Posted: 25 Apr 2022 07:28 AM PDT

On the outs. Sharon Osbourne is opening up one year after her exit from The Talk, claiming her career took a major hit amid the backlash.

“They said to me, ‘You are on permanent suspension. We don’t think that you’re repentant enough. And we will decide whether you ever come back,'” the 69-year-old TV personality recalled during a recent interview with The Sunday Times, reflecting on being fired from the CBS daytime series. “And I said, ‘Well, who’s going to make that decision?’ And they said, ‘We can’t tell you.'”

Osbourne joined The Talk in 2010, and her controversial departure from the show seemingly slowed other offers from coming in. “My phone as far as my TV career [in America was concerned] was nonexistent, not one call. Nothing,” she said. “In England and Australia, it never changed. Here it was like I was dead.”

The former X Factor judge went on to claim that she was forced to hire 24/7 security in the wake of the scandal, alleging, “[People] were saying they were going to come in the night, cut my throat, cut Ozzy's throat, cut my dogs’ throats. … I just couldn’t stop crying because all I was thinking about was all the things that I’ve gone through in my life, and now they’re calling me a racist. This is insanity.”

In March 2021, the former Celebrity Apprentice contestant came under fire while she and her then-cohosts were discussing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s CBS sit-down, during which they accused the royal family of racist behavior. Osbourne defended her friend Piers Morgan‘s take on the drama, but Sheryl Underwood believed supporting the broadcaster, 57, was “validation” of the “implications” of Morgan’s remarks.

“I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is racist, so that makes me a racist,” the Extreme author replied. “For me, at 68 years of age, to have to turn around and say, ‘I ain’t racist, what’s it gotta do with me?'”

After the televised conflict, Osbourne apologized “to anyone of colour that I offended,” writing, “I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over.”

Former panelists Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini later accused Osbourne of making racially insensitive comments behind the scenes of The Talk. The network conducted an internal investigation as the show took a brief hiatus, later announcing that the U.K. native would not be returning to the set.

Osbourne’s publicist, Howard Bragman, denied the allegations on her behalf at the time. “Sharon is disappointed but unfazed and hardly surprised by the lies, the recasting of history and the bitterness coming out at this moment,” a statement read. “She will survive this, as she always has and her heart will remain open and good, because she refuses to let others take her down. She thanks her family, friends and fans for standing by her and knowing her true nature.”

In her first interview after being axed from the series, the Osbournes alum told Bill Maher that she was “hurt” and “angry” about what went down. “I’ve been called so many things in my life … but a racist is one thing I will not take,” she said in April 2021.

One year after the controversy, Osbourne is still thrown by what happens “when people turn on you en masse” in the public eye. “Everybody’s scared of saying something wrong that somebody would take and sell,” she told The Sunday Times, revealing that she and husband Ozzy Osbourne were leaving Los Angeles behind. “It’s no way to bloody live. I don’t want it. I don’t need it. … It’s just our time to go home. I don’t want to be judged.”
