Will Smith has resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences days after slapping Chris Rock on live TV at the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 27.

“I have directly responded to the Academy’s disciplinary hearing notice, and I will fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct. My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable. The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home. I betrayed the trust of the Academy," Smith, 53, said in a statement on Friday, April 1, via Variety.

“I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken. I want to put the focus back on those who deserve attention for their achievements and allow the Academy to get back to the incredible work it does to support creativity and artistry in film," he continued. “So, I am resigning from membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and will accept any further consequences the Board deems appropriate.”

David Rubin, President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, issued a response soon after.

"We have received and accepted Mr. Will Smith’s immediate resignation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences," Rubin told Us Weekly. "We will continue to move forward with our disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Smith for violations of the Academy's Standards of Conduct, in advance of our next scheduled board meeting on April 18."

During the Oscars, Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith‘s shaved head while presenting the award for Best Documentary Feature. Jada, 50, who has been candid about suffering from hair loss due to alopecia, rolled her eyes at the reference to her appearance.

Her husband, for his part, shocked viewers when he went onstage and slapped Rock. As he returned to his seat, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum was seen saying, "Keep my wife's name out your f—king mouth” repeatedly.

Later that night, Will addressed the incident when he accepted the award for best actor for his performance in King Richard.

"Oh, man. Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family," the Philadelphia native said during the emotional acceptance speech. "I'm being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people. I know to do what we do, you got to be able to take abuse. You got to be able to have people talk crazy about you. In this business you got to be able to have people disrespecting you. And you got to smile, you got to pretend like that's OK."

He added: "I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. … Thank you for this moment. And thank you on behalf of Richard and the entire Williams family. Thank you. I hope the academy invites me back."

Shortly after the awards show came to an end, a source exclusively told Us that Rock originally rehearsed his speech with no mention of Jada. The insider noted, “Will was not in attendance for [the] rehearsal.”

Us also confirmed that the Grown Ups star had no plans to press charges after the public altercation. "LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program," the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement on Sunday. "The incident involved one individual slapping another. The individual involved has declined to file a police report. If the involved party desires a police report at a later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report."

The South Carolina native, who worked with Will and Jada on separate projects in the past, broke his silence over the scandal during a comedy show at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, March 30.

"What's up, Boston?" he asked the audience. "How was your weekend? I'm still processing what happened." An eyewitness exclusively told Us that the audience "laughed a lot and it really cut the tension" for Rock and it was a “great show.” The following night, he shut down a fan at a second show who yelled "F–k Will Smith” from the audience. Rock reportedly responded "no, no, no, no, no” before continuing his set.

They Don’t! Celebrity Couples Who Had Their Marriages Annulled

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 04:00 PM PDT

Post-wedding blues. Sometimes relationships don’t work out — just ask any celebrity couple who has had their marriage annulled.

“He said all the right things and I and the families were a good, good fit. And he seemed to grow up similarly to me. It was almost like an arranged marriage, I felt like, except we chose one another,” Meghan King said during a March 2022 appearance on Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis Live about her brief relationship with Cuffe Owens. “I just really want some help [with my kids] and I want[ed] a partnership.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum married Owens in October 2021, just one month after they met on a dating app. However, after two months of marriage they called it quits in December of that year. “I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating,” King wrote at the time in a statement shared via her Instagram Story. “This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I'm shocked and saddened by the way things turned out. I am moving forward with my children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams.”

While the reality TV personality hasn’t gone into detail about what went wrong with her marriage, others have been open about what caused them to pull the plug on their relationships.

“I panicked,” Kenny Chesney confessed during an April 2010 TV appearance about his brief marriage to Renee Zellweger. “Oh my God, but it’s tough. It really is tough. And she’s a sweet soul, no doubt about it, but I just wasn’t ready.”

The country star secretly tied the knot with the Oscar winner in May 2005 at Chesney’s cliffside estate in St. John after just four months of dating. By September of that year, however, Zellweger filed for an annulment, citing “fraud.”

Though the Bridget Jones’ Diary star released a statement at the time stating that the term was “simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny's character,” many began to speculate about Chesney’s sexuality in the wake of their split. “It made me sad that somehow people were using that as a way to be cruel and calling someone gay as a pejorative, which has fateful consequences,” Zellweger told The Advocate in September 2016. “Of course, there's the bigger-picture problem of why anyone had to make up a story at all.”

She continued: “I'm an old-fashioned gal who doesn't feel it's appropriate to hang out your laundry on the lawn. I feel you devalue yourself as a human being when you share very personal things with a bajillion strangers who are making fun of you. … But sometimes it is difficult to just let something be what it is, especially when it's unnecessary ugliness. Once you've said your piece, shouldn't that be enough?”

The "Toxic" singer famously married her childhood friend in January 2004 during a night out in Las Vegas, wearing a baseball cap and jeans. Just hours after they tied the knot, Spears filed for an annulment, though Alexander claimed in July 2021 that it was her team who ended things. "They told me if I would sign the contracts — the annulment — they would let me and Britney continue our relationship, and if we felt the same way in six months they would give us a proper marriage," he said during an episode of the “Toxic: The Britney Spears Story” podcast. "Literally the day after, like, the 30 days was up, I remember trying to call the number I had for Britney and it was [disconnected]."  Shutterstock (2)

Forty one days after they got married, Lozada ended her relationship with the football player in August 2012 in the wake of his arrest for domestic violence. Mario Lopez and Ali Landry
The pair tied the knot in April 2004, after six years of dating, only for Landry to annul the union two weeks later after learning that Lopez had cheated. The Saved By the Bell alum confessed to the infidelity in his 2014 memoir, Just Between Us, adding that the subsequent confrontation with the former pageant queen made him realize that he wasn't ready for marriage. In March 2022, Landry said on the "Unfolding Leadership" podcast that she is now "grateful" for the way the situation made her take control of her life. London Entertainment/Shutterstock
Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray
The One Tree Hill costars split just five months after their 2005 wedding, with Bush filing for an annulment in 2006. However, her request was denied and their divorce was finalized in December 2006. "I think lots of people do stupid s--t before their prefrontal cortexes are fully formed and they're not until they're 26," the False Positive star said about her whirlwind marriage during an August 2021 appearance on Michael Rosenbaum's "Inside of You" podcast. "So you do the math on my timeline. I literally didn't have a whole brain. I have humor and grace for being a kid and having the experience that I have."  Charles Sykes/Shutterstock
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries
The reality star famously ended her marriage to Humphries in October 2011, 72 days after their lavish, televised wedding. Nicky Hilton and Todd Meister
Before marrying James Rothschild in July 2015, Hilton was briefly married to Todd Meister. Two months after their Vegas wedding, the heiress ended the relationship, with a source telling Us at the time, "They’re working on an annulment. Nicky and Todd remain the best of friends, but she is 21, and it’s just not the right time in her life for her to be married. He lives in New York; she’s in L.A."  MB Pictures/Shutterstock
Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman
After dating for just a few months, the model and the NBA player eloped during a vacation to Las Vegas in November 1998. Nine days later, Rodman filed for an annulment on the ground that he had not been of sound mind when he and Electra tied the knot. Despite trying to reconcile a few times, they filed for divorce in March 1999. “Our relationship was very passionate. When it was good, it was amazing. And when it was bad, it was the worst," the Scary Movie actress told Us in October 2014. "[The wedding] happened so fast. It was so spontaneous, and I remember right after, ‘Oh god, what did we do?'” Ponopresse/Shutterstock
Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon
The couple first got married in October 2007 but filed for an annulment just two months later. In January 2014, they secretly walked down the aisle for the second time after rekindling their romance, before Anderson filed for divorce seven months later. The Baywatch alum changed her mind and got back together with Salomon, before finally calling it quits in February 2015. Mediapunch/Shutterstock

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael Publicly Comes Out as Gay During HBO Special

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 02:25 PM PDT

Sharing with pride! Celebrities like Raven-Symoné, Dan Levy and more have become important figures within the LGBTQ community as they've championed equality both on and offscreen.

The That's So Raven alum's personal life became the subject of headlines in August 2013 when she tweeted her reaction to the legalization of same-sex marriage. "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you," she wrote at the time.

Three years later, she spoke about her journey to self-acceptance and admitted that she "never thought" she would publicly come out.

"Being on television sets from age 3 till age 30, I'm more comfortable there," she said in a May 2016 video for the Lexus L/Studio docuseries It Got Better. "I know what lines I'm supposed to say. Somebody else picks my clothes for me. I have makeup done. I have hair done. And you create a family with these people that sometimes are closer to you than your own family."

The Disney alum felt like she couldn't be honest about her sexuality because she had been "branded at such a young age" to fit the network's image. "I never thought I would come out because my personal life didn't matter," she said at the time. "It was only what was supposed to be sold as the Raven-Symoné brand."

Though she'd known she was attracted to women from a young age, the former The View cohost took her time when approaching her sexuality in public. Levy, for his part, came out to his parents when he was 18 — but once feared that he would always have to hide his identity from the rest of the world.

"I legitimately thought that I would have to live with this secret — my being gay — for the rest of my life because I didn't have the security of seeing a lot of people like myself being celebrated in popular culture," the Schitt's Creek creator and star said in September 2019 at the GLAAD Gala in San Francisco. "Had I not had the love to give me a sense of security, I don't know if I would have found my way out of the closet, let alone create the opportunity for myself to tell stories on television that have effected some kind of positive change in the world."

The Emmy winner portrayed queer romance with positivity across the six seasons of Pop TV's Schitt's Creek, which came to an end in early 2020. Though the Rose family is no more, Levy vowed to keep telling honest stories for his communities.

"Support, encouragement and love: three relatively simple acts of kindness that can change the course of a person's life," he said at the time. "I promise to continue to do my part in celebrating this radiant community in all the work that I do, big and small."

Joshua Bassett
The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star publicly came out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community in June 2021. “What was scary and hard was the 20 years leading up to it,” Bassett told The Hollywood Reporter in March 2022. “So, it truly was liberating. I really haven’t looked back. There’s power in telling the truth.” He continued: “I know that the people that it has helped are far more important than some people who maybe have some nasty things to project onto me. … When you hear a message from a kid saying, ‘You saved my life,’ or ‘Because of you, now I feel like I can be myself,’ — it’s the greatest honor in the world to be a role model in any way or to liberate other people to tell and live their truth.” NINA PROMMER/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
Sawyer Fredericks
The winner of The Voice season 8 came out as bisexual in a February 2022 Instagram post. "Since I have not publicly said this in a post, I wanted say that I am Bisexual 😊 When I was younger I thought I was straight, because I was more attracted to women, and I didn’t know there were more options besides Gay and Straight," the singer-songwriter explained. "So I just assumed I was Straight 🤷🏼‍♂️ I am privileged and have never been discriminated against for my sexuality or ashamed of it. I’m truly sorry for any of you who have been, and I hope it gets better 💙 I’ll probably lose some fans over this post, but that’s fine with me." David Richard/AP/Shutterstock
Andy Cohen
The Bravo host recalled coming out to his mom during a November 2021 appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. "Great quote from my mom when I came out to her,” Cohen explained while discussing her notable lines in his Glitter Every Day: 365 Quotes From Women I Love book. “Her response was, 'I probably would have hated your wife anyway.' And you know what, she probably would have!” Scott Kowalchyk/CBS
Kal Penn
The Designated Survivor alum opened up about his sexuality his November 2021 book, You Can't Be Serious. Penn revealed he has been in a relationship with his partner, Josh, for 11 years, and they are engaged.  "I mean, you know, Josh and I've been together for 11 years," Penn told CBS' Sunday Morning in October 2021 while promoting his memoir. "We had our 11th anniversary in October. So, for me and writing about it, I think the tricky thing was, you're right, it's very matter-of-fact in our lives, and when you're the son of Indian immigrants who says that you want to be an actor, the chaos that that creates in your family and your community, will trump anything else, always." MediaPunch/Shutterstock
Amber Portwood
During an October 2021 episode of Teen Mom OG, Amber revealed that writing her second memoir inspired her to come out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. "People are going to be a bit shocked that I am bisexual," the reality star told producers at the time. "That I have had a relationship with a woman for 8 months before." Even though the 16 and Pregnant alum wasn't sure that everyone in her life would be open to her news, she explained that she was coming out because of her children. "[They] are a really big factor of why," Amber — who shares daughter Leah with ex Gary Shirley and son James with ex Andrew Glennon — said at the time. "I don't want them to ever think it's bad. I don't want them to look at other people who are like this and think it's bad. Who am I to sit here and hide forever? Which is actually what I was planning on doing anyways. I was going to go to the grave with this."   AMI/MEGA
Elvira
The Mistress of the Dark, a.k.a. Cassandra Peterson, publicly came out in her 2021 memoir, reflecting on being friends with her longtime girlfriend, Teresa Wierson, for six years before things turned romantic.  "After coming home from a movie, I told her goodnight and suddenly felt compelled to kiss her — on the mouth. As shocked as she was, I think I was even more surprised. What the hell was I doing?" Elvira wrote in Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark. "I'd never been interested in women as anything other than friends. I felt so confused." Broadimage/Shutterstock
Lee Rodriguez
The Never Have I Ever star reflected on her own coming out journey, months after her Netflix character did the same. Her character, Fabiola, identifies as a lesbian while Rodriguez came out as queer in October 2020. “It is ultimately my choice to share,” she wrote in a Cosmopolitan essay published in August 2021. “I could have kept it to myself, and I would have been just fine. But I feel like people were assuming based on my past dating history, which I didn’t appreciate. I asked, ‘Why are people assuming my sexuality?’ I kind of felt pressured, in a way, to share that part of me. I knew it was going to be a thing when taking on the role of Fabiola and I was prepared for that because it’s not okay for straight actors to take queer roles. I personally would not have taken the role if I wasn’t.” She added, “When people kept asking me [about her identity], I felt like maybe I didn’t look like a queer person. But you shouldn’t have to explain your queerness. You don't owe anyone an explanation for your queerness or proof that you're a valid queer person.” MediaPunch/Shutterstock
Emily Hampshire
During a September 2021 podcast with Demi Lovato, Hampshire revealed that people began asking if she was gay after she began dating Teddy Geiger, who had come out as transgender in 2017. "I said to [my Schitt's Creek costar] Dan [Levy], 'This is so weird. What am I?' Because I truly just fell in love with a person, and where they were on the gender spectrum did not matter to me. And since then, it really doesn’t matter to me. I have to like the person. I'm really attracted to a person's vibe," she shared. Levy then recalled the fan-favorite scene in which David and Stevie talk about their broader tastes in wine. "He was like, 'You're pansexual. Don't you watch our show?'" Shutterstock
Gigi Goode
The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum came out as trans-nonbinary in August 2021. "Almost eight months ago, in January, right at the beginning of the year, I decided to begin the process of hormone replacement therapy,” the model said in an Instagram video. “Which is the process of taking estrogen and testosterone blockers, differing on the person, as a means of bringing in the woman and pushing out the man.” The reality star then confirmed that she identifies as "a trans-nonbinary person" who uses she/her pronouns. She also revealed that she’s in the process of legally changing her name to Gigi. "I knew when I started, I wanted this to be a journey I was going on by myself, on my own, without any input from the outside world," Goode concluded, insisting she kept her story private until she had time to process everything on her own. "The only people that really knew that I was going through this were me and my mom and my close friends living across the street, which is exactly the way that I wanted it, up until this point." Mae Whitman
The Good Girls actress came out as pansexual in August 2021. “I know ppl might be unfamiliar with what pansexual means; for me it means I know I can fall in love with people of all genders,” she tweeted. “This is the word that fits me best and I’m proud+happy to be part of the Bi+ community :,).” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Emma Corrin
The Crown star publicly came out as queer in August 2021, after previously posting photos wearing a chest binder. At the time, the England native shared an ITV News interview clip about their sexuality via Instagram, captioning it, “First time addressing my queerness and my journey on TV was scary! But visibility is key!” In the video, the Golden Globes winner said, "My journey has been a long one and has still got a long way to go. I think we are so used to defining ourselves. That's the way society works within these binaries and it's taken me a long time to realize that I exist somewhere in between and I'm still not sure where that is yet." Magnus Sundholm/Shutterstock
Lloyd Spencer
The Below Deck Mediterranean star came out as sexually fluid to his coworkers in an August 2021 episode of the Bravo show. "I was absolutely not planning on opening up about that whatsoever. It was purely an in-the-moment thing, the level of comfort and security I felt around [my team], and the topics of conversation that had previously been discussed that evening was certainly a big factor in that," the reality star told E! News about deciding to share his truth on television. In the episode, the deckhand labeled himself as "90 percent straight," which he noted wasn't actually right. "Yeah the 90 percent straight thing was my realization that I said it on television and kind of trying to stop it from spiraling to a full confessional of my entire life, but if I were to put it in a statement of such, I completely believe in like a fluid spectrum and as any part of my life, I might move on that spectrum up or down," he added at the time. Tommy Dorfman
The 13 Reasons Why star publicly disclosed her transgender identity during a conversation with Time magazine in July 2021, noting that she'd been "privately identifying and living as a woman" for an entire year. "It's funny to think about coming out because I haven't gone anywhere," she said, calling her transition a "liberating and clarifying" experience. "I view today as a reintroduction to me as a woman, having made a transition medically. Coming out is always viewed as this grand reveal, but I was never not out. Today is about clarity: I am a trans woman. My pronouns are she/her. My name is Tommy. ... Personally, it's wild to be 29 and going through puberty again. Some days I feel like I'm 14." Amrit Kapai
Family Karma star Amrit Kapai recalled the emotional moment he first came out to his grandmother on television during an interview with Entertainment Tonight in July 2021.  “I'm not going to lie to you, I was very overwhelmed when I was re-watching it and re-experiencing it all over again. But I thought the final product was so tasteful," Kapai said in the interview. "I mean, with a moment like that, there isn't any editing that's necessary because the words, the conversation, the expressions, everything speaks for itself and everything speaks volumes. Putting aside that, it was a little bit of a somber moment, and there were some happy, there were some sad, but overall, I was very satisfied with how the finished product came out.” The reality star added that the Bravo series aired about “90 percent” of the conversation as it happened. “There was no sugarcoating any of it,” he continued. “There was no beating around the bush. That's how I remember it. I know I said I blacked it out, not because I was under the influence, but because it's one of those moments in life where you just... It's a very intense moment, and we block those out of our memory for better or for worse. It was a lot to re-watch over again and experience it all over again.” Tommy Garcia/Bravo
Tyler Posey
The Teen Wolf star revealed how his girlfriend, musician Phem, helped him embrace his sexuality. “[Phem] helped me realize that I fit under the queer umbrella and that I’m sexually fluid, I guess,” Posey told NME magazine in July 2021. “No, not ‘I guess,’ I don’t want anyone to take this [interview] and be like: ‘Well, he was kind of wishy-washy about it.'” Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Carl Nassib
"I just wanted to take a quick moment to say that I'm gay. I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but I finally feel comfortable enough to get it off my chest," the athlete opened up in a video via Instagram in June 2021. Nassib, who is the first active NFL player to be publicly out, shared that he would also be donating $100,000 to The Trevor Project in an attempt to help raise awareness. "I just think that representation and visibility are so important," the Las Vegas Raiders defense end continued. "I actually hope that one day videos like this and the whole coming out process are just not necessary. But until then, I'm going to do my best and do my part to cultivate a culture that's accepting, that's compassionate." Uncredited/AP/Shutterstock
David Archuleta
American Idol season 7 runner-up revealed in June 2021 that he hadn’t figured out a label, but he knows he is part of the LGBTQ community. "I’ve been open to myself and my close family for some years now that I am not sure about my own sexuality," Archuleta wrote via Instagram. "I came out in 2014 as gay to my family. But then I had similar feelings for both genders so maybe a spectrum of bisexual. Then I also have learned I don’t have too much sexual desires and urges as most people 💀which works I guess because I have a commitment to save myself until marriage 🤣. Which people call asexual when they don’t experience sexual urges." The devout Mormon also called on his fellow Christians to be more accepting of those who aren’t heteronormative and shared a message of encouragement for LGBTQ Christians who are struggling. “I don’t feel comfortable sharing it, but felt I needed to bring more awareness to people in my same situation and let you know you’re not alone. You can be part of the LGBTQIA+ community and still believe in God and His gospel plan,” he declared. Courtesy of David Archuleta/Instagram
Alexandra Shipp
The Love, Simon actress came out publicly in June 2021 via Instagram and shared how accepting her sexuality has made such a positive impact on her life. "It’s exhausting chasing other people’s ideas and opinions of who you should be," Shipp wrote. "Today I’m happy in ways I don’t think my kid self could imagine. I get to be exactly who I want to be EVERY F--KING DAY and it feels incredible!! It’s never too late to be you." Duh, stupid. Duh.’” She concluded: "Everyone's just like, 'Duh. You're the only one who didn't f—king know. The f—king closet was glass.' In April 2021, the former Bachelor came out as gay during an interview on Good Morning America. "I’ve ran from myself for a long time, I’ve hated myself for a long time. I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year, and the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know," he said at the time. "I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. That means the world to me." ABC/Aaron Poole
Ronen Rubinstein
In April 2021 Rubinstein revealed to Variety that he identifies as bisexual. "I literally just got goosebumps saying that. It feels so good to talk about it, it feels so good to finally be comfortable with it," the 9-1-1: Lone Star actor said, noting that his role on the Fox drama helped him embrace his sexuality. "The biggest thing for me is where I come from, it’s like people like me and people who have identified as bisexual or gay or as any part of the community, you’re just not welcomed. It’s as brutally honest as that." Rubinstein also added that his girlfriend, Jessica Parker Kennedy, fully supported him in this journey. "She definitely encouraged me to be vocal about it,  just to live my truth," he said. "She’s like, ‘I love you for who you are, your full self and people will love you for who you are and your full self.'" DAVID SWANSON/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock

The Big Brother season 16 alum opened up about his sexuality six years after fans speculated that he and costar Frankie Grande explored a romance on the show. "I fell in love with who he was as a person," the reality star said of Grande during a December 2020 virtual event for the Mental Health Coalition, revealing that the duo hooked up after filming. "We try not to label anything, you know, gender is super fluid. So it's hard for me to say I'm straight. I'm not gay either. ... I just wanted to come out and say that and be transparent and come out and say [that] I am bisexual, even though I do lean more toward heterosexuality." Courtesy of Zach Rance/Instagram

In May 2016, the former Disney star opened up about her sexuality in public for the first time, admitting that she "never thought" she would ever come out even though she'd known she was gay since she was 12. "I knew I couldn't say it out loud because [people would say], 'Oh my god, little Olivia is gay, this is crazy,'" she said at the time, referencing her Cosby Show character. "[But] I felt lighter. I felt like I could go out and not have to put on 17 different hats to be myself. I realize that just living my truth of what I am, there's one less person to fight me in my own head." The Carnival Row actress previously dated Michelle Rodriguez, singer St. Vincent and Ashley Benson. In 2017, she described herself as being "not gay," and told Variety three years later that she's pansexual. "However one defines themselves, whether it's 'they' or 'he' or 'she,' I fall in love with the person — and that's that. I'm attracted to the person." ABC/Shutterstock
Dan Levy
When the Schitt's Creek star was 18 years old, he came out to his parents, Eugene Levy and Deborah Divine. "My mom asked me over lunch one day and I said, 'Yes,'" he recalled during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in January 2020. "She almost knew. My mom and I have a very close relationship in that sense and it almost felt like she knew that I was ready." His dad admitted in the same interview that Dan's sexuality didn't come as a surprise to the family. "We knew for the longest time," Eugene said. "We were waiting and then [his] mom couldn't wait any longer." Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Kristen Stewart
The Twilight actress went viral after teasing that she's "like, so gay" during her Saturday Night Live monologue in February 2017. The next month, she gave some insight into why she decided to make the bold statement on a public stage. "Honestly, I think it was just funny," she told E! News at the time. "Not to diminish the point because I think that saying things so bluntly is absolutely important, but at the same time, the only reason I haven't ever done that is because there is an ambiguity to that and I wanted things to be really real for me. ... I'm so utterly proud that I've had so many people be like, 'Thank you,' and I'm like, 'No, thank you.' It's kind of mutual, full circle." In October 2019, Stewart made her relationship with girlfriend Dylan Meyer official on Instagram. Matt Baron/Shutterstock

No stranger to controversy, the Good Place alum made waves on social media when she came out as queer in the middle of a heated Twitter spat in February 2020. She told Variety one month later that she'd known about her sexuality since she was a child. "I didn't tell anyone about it until a couple of years ago, so I just kept it quiet because I come from a South Asian background. So, you just don't really have a lot of queer idols," she explained. "There isn't a lot of conversation around it. There isn't a lot of acceptance for it within my culture, traditionally." Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Janelle Monáe
The Antebellum actress opened up about her sexual fluidity in a candid Rolling Stone interview in April 2018 and reflected on her experience one year later in a conversation with Lizzo for Them. "It's been a journey. For me, sexuality and sexual identity and fluidity is a journey. It's not a destination," Monáe said in April 2019. "I've discovered so much about myself over the years as I've evolved and grown and spent time with myself and loved ones. That's the exciting thing — always finding out new things about who you are. And that's what I love about life. It takes us on journeys that not even we ourselves sometimes are prepared for. You just adapt to where you are and how you've evolved as a free-thinking person." Billy Porter
"I knew then that if I was going to survive, I was going to have to extract myself from that," the Pose star, who came out in 1985, told the Gay Times of his "violently homophobic" upbringing in a 2019 interview. "I found the arts and I found the theatre, a community that embraced me for who I am, and as I went deeper and deeper into that community, I discovered we were in the middle of a plague and had to fight." Looking back at his tumultuous childhood, Porter sent a message to his younger self — and anyone else struggling to find acceptance for who they are. "Extract yourself from anything that's toxic," he said. "Change the narrative of, 'I need the love of people, my mother, my father, my family to exist on the planet.' No! We don't need acceptance, we don't need tolerance, we need respect for our humanity. ... Everybody's humanity is valid, even if we don’t understand it or like it." Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

Gotcha! Best Celeb Pranks of All Time: Kardashians, Justin Bieber and More

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 02:05 PM PDT

Tinseltown is up to some tricks! Though Hollywood can be a serious business, celebrities often share their light-hearted sides — and what better way to prove their comedic nuance than with practical jokes at the expense of others?

The Kardashian-Jenner family have pulled a number of pranks on each other over the years, but perhaps none more iconic than Scott Disick's Todd Kraines gag, in which he pretends to be a friend of the family on phone calls with Kris Jenner. The Flip It Like Disick alum's high-pitched "imitation" of Kraines — and the momager's reaction — never failed to leave the family in hysterics.

While Disick’s prank calls are legendary in the Kardashian family and in the Kardashian fandom, Jenner once received an entirely different call based on an entirely different (and much more serious) prank.

While playing “Truth or Dare” with Kourtney KardashianKendall Jenner called their mom and pretended that she just found out she was pregnant. Kris, who believed her daughter immediately, even told her second-youngest that she dreamt about Kendall's supposed pregnancy the night before. (Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, had a much stronger reaction to the model's alleged news when Kendall played the same prank several years prior on Khloé Kardashian's short-lived talk show, Kocktails With Khloé, getting upset and stressed about the situation.)

Meanwhile, no celebrity prank would be complete without the masters: Ashton Kutcher and Ellen DeGeneres.

Kutcher, whose MTV series Punk'd was a staple in the early 2000s, terrified countless celebrities throughout his stint as host, including Travis Barker, Mandy Moore, The Rock, Lindsay LohanMissy Elliott and many more. The most memorable, however, were his practical jokes on Justin Timberlake (who cried when he thought all of his belongings were being seized by the government) and Drake (who visibly panicked when he thought he was involved in an earthquake).

DeGeneres, for her part, has been playfully scaring stars for decades on her eponymous talk show: Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anne Hathaway and many more have all fell victim to her pop-out surprises. When she's not frightening her A-list guests, the Finding Dory star has them go out and embarrass themselves in front of unsuspecting people. ("Dennis Quaid is here!" is a classic.)

Scroll down to see these and more of the best celebrity pranks over the years:

Adele Pranks Unsuspecting Adele Impersonators
The “Someone Like You” singer took her song title to heart in 2015 when she pretended to be an Adele impersonator named Jenny just trying to fit in with the rest of the group of impersonators at a BBC event. Despite the fact that the actual Adele — disguised in prosthetics and using a deep voice — was talking to them throughout the show, the women didn’t realize it was her until she started singing — and they started crying. Justin Timberlake's Cars and More Get 'Repossessed' on 'Punk'd'
Timberlake's episode of Punk’d is historic for good reason: The “Cry Me a River” singer actually shed some tears himself, visibly upset over the idea that government employees (including one played by the then-relatively unknown Dax Shepard were removing all of his belongings from his home. The former ‘Nsync star later revealed that the reason he cried during the episode was because he was high. YouTube; Inset: Shutterstock
Scott Disick’s Todd Kraines Prank on Kris Jenner
Disick’s impersonation of the Kardashian's family friend was so hilarious that the reality star did it multiple times throughout the run of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “Auntie Kris, it’s me! It’s Todd Kraines!” he told Kris over the phone intermittently over several years. The real Todd Kraines later got in on the joke with Disick, showing up to a family ski trip saying the father of three’s exact lines. YouTube; Inset: Shutterstock
Dennis Quaid Pranks Starbucks Barista and Customers on ‘Ellen’
One of DeGeneres’ best pranks was when she enlisted Dennis Quaid to walk into the Starbucks on the studio lot, announce his presence and repeatedly refer to himself in the third person. “Dennis Quaid is here!” the Parent Trap actor yelled upon entering the coffee shop. He even had the barista sing Harry Belafonte’s “Day-O!” with him before confessing the whole thing was a joke. YouTube
Kevin Hart Puts Nick Cannon’s Real Cell Phone Number on Multiple Billboards
Hart and fellow comedian Cannon were involved in a massive prank war in 2021, beginning with the Wild N’ Out host sending the Jumanji star a llama for his birthday. To retaliate, after news broke that Cannon was expecting his seventh child, Hart put up billboards in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta that read, “If you want any advice on fatherhood, please call my best friend Nick Cannon,” complete with the Masked Singer host’s actual phone number. The jokes didn’t end there, as Cannon later plastered his face on the side of Hart's jet and the Scary Movie 3 actor sent his pal a vending machine full of condoms for Valentine’s Day 2022. YouTube; Inset: Shutterstock
Ashton Kutcher Makes Drake Believe There’s an Earthquake on ‘Punk’d’
On his way to meet Barack Obama, the “Best I Ever Had” rapper gets trapped in an earthquake — or so he thought. As the parking lot appears to shake and explode all around him, Drake delves deeper and deeper into panic mode: cursing, calling his mom and attempting to fathom what’s happening. YouTube
Justin Bieber Pranks ‘Ellen’ Guests in the Bathroom
While Bieber has been both the prankster and the one getting pranked on Ellen, he was in the driver’s seat the time he and the talk show host cooked up an idea to scare unsuspecting guests on their way to the bathroom. The “Ghost of You” singer hid in the corner of a bathroom stall until each person would go in. Then he would pop out and startle them twice, as they were initially frightened by the unexpected person — and then taken aback that that person was Bieber himself. YouTube
Kendall Fakes a Pregnancy to Kim and Kris
After calling Kim to pretend she was pregnant on "Kocktails With Khloé," Kendall was in for an earful from the SKIMS founder. “I’m not the one to talk to, because I have like the worst experience and I’m so fresh off of the worst birthing experience,” the KKW Beauty mogul started. “I mean, today is not the day cause I literally would be a bit more negative cause I’m on one hour of sleep cause North was up all night and I was feeding [Saint] every two seconds and literally, my day has been like, so crazy and I’ve had no sleep and I want to like, die.” She then told Kendall, “I’ll bring my 30 kids and you can babysit for two seconds to see how you feel.” Kendall also told Kris that the two pregnancy tests she supposedly took “came back positive.” For her part, when Kendall played the same prank with Kourtney later on, Kris handled it all in stride and seemed to be excited for the 818 Tequila founder. "That’s so weird you just told me this because I dreamed about this last night,” the momager replied. “I’ll put on my clothes and get over there. Well, I’ll tell you, Kendall; you have to do whatever your heart tells you to do. I think it’s great news, but I’m your mom.” Upon finding out it was a prank, Kris joked, “Oh f--k. Oh brother, I’ll go put the champagne back on ice.” Youtube; Inset: Shutterstock
Nickelodeon Producer Pranks One Direction, Pretends She’s Going into Labor
In 2012, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson got in on a prank with Nickelodeon to trick the rest of One Direction (Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne) that their pregnant producer was going into labor. While Horan seemed unsure of what to do in the situation, Payne called the woman’s husband and Styles held her hand and did breathing exercises with her. YouTube

Sending love. Celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis, Seth Green and Hilarie Burton are rallying around Bruce Willis and his family amid his aphasia battle.

The Die Hard actor's loved ones announced on Wednesday, March 30, that he was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which has been "impacting his cognitive abilities." The condition can be caused by a stroke or head injury or develop with time from a brain tumor or disease, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Following the onset of symptoms, the Armageddon actor, 67, has chosen to retire from Hollywood, his relatives, including ex-wife Demi Moore and daughter Rumer Willis, said via an Instagram statement on Wednesday.

"As a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia," the statement signed by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, Moore and his children, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn, read. "As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him."

The women noted that "this is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support." (Bruce shares Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28, with Moore, 59, whom he split from in 1998 after more than 10 years together. He shares Mabel, 9, and Evelyn, 7, with Heming Willis, 43, whom he wed in 2009.)

They explained that the group is "moving through this as a strong family unit," but wanted to notify Bruce's fans about his condition, "because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him."

The ladies' statement concluded: "As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that."

Fans and celebrities alike shared their well-wishes for the Sixth Sense actor and the women who have his back via social media.

Shawn Mendes: I Played New Breakup Song for Camila Cabello 'Months Ago'

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 01:55 PM PDT

Working through it. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have slowly opened up about their split after calling it quits in the fall of 2021.

The "Stitches" crooner and the former Fifth Harmony singer started out as friends in 2014 after they both opened up for Austin Mahone's tour. They collaborated on 2017's "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and later sparked romance speculation when they released their 2019 duet, "Señorita."

The pair seemingly confirmed that they were more than just friends in July 2019 after they were spotted making out in the ocean in Miami.

More than one year later, the twosome adopted a puppy while living together during the coronavirus pandemic. However, things fizzled out between the pair the following year.

The longtime friends announced their split in November 2021 via a joint statement, in which they explained that their "love for one another as humans is stronger than ever."

A source exclusively told Us Weekly later that month that the musicians "still have a ton of love and respect for each other" after parting ways.

"At this point they've decided they need a break from each other to evaluate where each of them are at. They're not saying never, just not now," the insider said at the time. "It does hurt, but they're both certain this is for the best."

The source noted that the attention "became overwhelming" for the duo, especially when they were "getting grilled on how serious they were and whether or not they were going to get engaged."

The "Summer of Love" crooner and the former X Factor contestant each released songs that appeared to address the split in the months that followed. It wasn't until March 2022, however, that either artist directly spoke out about the breakup.

"I honestly don't care," Mendes told Billboard in an interview published on March 14 when asked about his feelings regarding the intense scrutiny he and Cabello faced during their two-year romance.

He later admitted during a studio session that it took him a while before the breakup really hit him. "It's like, 'Oh, I'm on my own now,'" Mendes said via a Twitter video posted on March 18 when explaining the inspiration behind his new music. "You don't realize all the s–t that comes after [the initial split]."

Mendes seemingly commented on his recent split in his first single post-breakup, “It’ll Be Okay,” which he released in December 2021. “Are we gonna make it? / Is this gonna hurt?” he asked in the melancholy track. “We can try to sedate it / but that never works.” The Grammy nominee continued, “If you tell me you’re leaving / I’ll make it easy / It’ll be okay / If we can’t stop the bleeding / We don’t have to fix it / We don’t have to stay / I will love you either way.” Mendes added that “the future [they] dreamed of is fading to black,” and there was “nothing more painful.” David Fisher/Shutterstock
Nothing But Love
“As I get older, the priorities shift,” the “Havana” songstress said during a March 2022 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “And I feel like that was that way for both of us. Because we both started so young too, it’s like we’re really learning how to be healthy adults.” She continued: “My priorities have fluctuated and my focus has changed throughout my life. Those years that we were dating … even while I was writing this album, [Familia], and even still now, I guess my focus is really on, ‘How can I be a well-rounded person?'” Cabello added, “For me, I love Shawn and I feel like there is literally nothing but love for him.” John Angelillo/UPI/Shutterstock
'Bam Bam'
Cabello released her own fresh track in March 2022 called “Bam Bam.” When speaking about her Ed Sheeran collaboration, the Cuban singer seemed to confirm that the song was about her past with Mendes. “This song is mostly just about like, ‘OK, how do I make a song that shows the cycles of love and life and … hopefully this can make you kinda be like, ‘It is that way now, but things are always taking, you know, crazy turns,’” she told Apple Music host Lowe that month. Things You Don't Realize
“A lot of the thing[s] that [are] also resonating in the lyric for me is like, ‘Oh f–k,’ you don’t realize … When you’re, like, breaking up with someone and you think it’s the right thing. You don’t realize all the s--t that comes after it,” Mendes said in March 2022 via a social media clip from his studio sessions, referring to the new music he penned after his split from Cabello. The Canadian crooner continued: “Which is like, ‘Who do I call when I’m in a panic attack? Who do I call when I’m f–king on the edge?’ And I think that’s the reality that kind of hit. It’s like, ‘Oh, I’m on my own now.’ Now I feel like, finally, I’m actually on my own and I hate that, you know? That’s my reality.” Jason Merritt/Radarpics/Shutterstock
The Inspiration
"I wrote this song about a month after Camila and I broke up," Mendes told Extra of his single "When You're Gone," which dropped in April 2022. "A month later, you kind of start having all the memories of things that happened, and all the memories of so many amazing things. ... And I was writing about that." Mendes said he wanted to be as "open and candid" as possible with his fans. "I'm really glad I did," he added. "Because I think that's the only way that you get to you get to connect with people. There's only one way you can connect with actual people in a real way. And that's by being truthful and being vulnerable. ... If you can kind of reel people in with the sonic of the song, then they'll be listening on their own time, maybe. And then the lyrics will maybe head a little deeper." Cabello even got a heads-up about the track. "Camila and I have always been writers for as long as we've known each other, so we understand what that means," Mendes said. "And we respect what that means. And there'll always be transparency between us." Shutterstock (2)
Giving Grace
In April 2022, the Canadian singer spoke about giving himself "grace" as he copes with his breakup. "I think a big one for me was realizing that there's so many people in my life that I can rely on," he said on Sirius XM's The Morning Mash Up, adding that he doesn't want to be "too hard" on himself post-split. "I don't just have to put all of my, you know, hardship onto one person." Mendes also confessed that meditation has been a big help for him, noting, "I think the thing that I don't touch on enough is how extreme my anxiety was at one point in my life and my anxiety was completely controlling my life. ... Truly the one thing that changed my life and changed the trajectory of my life was meditation." Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

“On the advice of counsel, Hope can’t speak about this situation,” Rich Nichols, a lawyer for the former soccer player, 40, told Us Weekly in a statement on Friday, April 1. “But she wants everyone to know that her kids are her life, that she was released immediately and is now at home with her family, that the story is more sympathetic than the initial charges suggest, and that she looks forward to her opportunity to defend these charges.”

The Olympic gold medalist was arrested on Thursday, March 31, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, after she was allegedly caught driving under the influence. The athlete was brought to the Forsyth County jail for processing after authorities booked her on charges of impaired driving (DWI) and resisting arrest. She was later released.

According to police, Solo’s children were in the car at the time of her arrest. She shares twins Lozen and Vittorio, 2, with husband Jerramy Stevens, whom she wed in 2012. Authorities also charged her with misdemeanor child abuse.

Thursday’s arrest isn’t Solo’s first run-in with the law. In June 2014, the Dancing With the Stars alum was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault in the fourth degree against her sister and nephew, allegedly while intoxicated. A judge dropped the charges in 2018 after ruling that the incident was “unlikely to recur.”

The Solo: A Memoir of Hope author was a goalie for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team from 2000 to 2016. Her contract was terminated in August 2016 after she called the Swedish women’s soccer team “a bunch of cowards” during the Rio Olympics.

"For 17 years, I dedicated my life to the U.S. Women's National Team and did the job of a pro athlete the only way I knew how — with passion, tenacity, an unrelenting commitment to be the best goalkeeper in the world, not just for my country, but to elevate the sport for the next generation of female athletes," the Washington native said in a statement at the time. "In those commitments, I have never wavered. And with so much more to give, I am saddened by the Federation's decision to terminate my contract."

Solo was part of the USWNT during the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics, and she played in the 2007, 2011 and 2015 FIFA World Cup tournaments. Though the U.S. lost to Japan in the 2011 finals, the former Seattle Reign player won the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper.

This isn’t the first time the Dancing With the Stars alum has run into personal trouble. In 2015, she was suspended from the national soccer team after making “a poor decision” during training camp in California. Then-coach Jill Ellis announced in a statement, adding, “We feel at this time it is best for her to step away from the team.”

Solo’s suspension came shortly after her husband, now 42, was arrested for a DUI of his own. The goalkeeper was in the passenger seat at the time, but she was not charged.

Demi Moore’s Dating History: A Timeline of Her Marriages, Flings

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 11:12 AM PDT

Demi Moore's love life has been a topic of discussion over the years, something she chose to approach openly when writing a memoir.

In her 2019 book, Inside Out, Moore delves into her past romances, including her marriages to Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. The actress claimed that Willis expressed uncertainty about their marriage after the birth of their eldest daughter, Rumer, in 1988. "But Bruce didn't want to be the guy who walked out on his family, who did that to his kid," she wrote. "When he left to do Hudson Hawk, things were in a very precious state. I went over to visit once, and, frankly, I had the feeling that he had screwed around."

Her relationship with Kutcher, on the other hand, felt like a "do-over." She explained: "Like I could just go back in time and experience what it was like to be young, with him — much more so than I'd ever been able to experience it when I was actually in my twenties."

The Margin Call actress suffered a miscarriage during her and Kutcher's relationship, losing the baby six months into her pregnancy. She had already chosen the name Chaplin Ray.

In the memoir, Moore also revealed that threesomes were one of the factors behind the duo's 2011 split. "I wanted to show him how great and fun I could be," she wrote, deeming the group sex a "mistake."

She later saw media reports of Kutcher's affair with a pilates instructor, and she claimed he tried to deflect blame when she asked him about the reports. "Because we had brought a third party into our relationship, Ashton said, that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he'd done," she wrote.

After her romantic ups and downs, Moore began to heal by starting to put herself first.

“It’s a process of learning to love yourself,” the G.I. Jane star explained on an episode of SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show in July 2020. “Accepting who you are just as you are. For me, I had changed myself so many times over and over to fit what I thought somebody else wanted.”

Moore continued, “It’s that idea that we’re kinda conditioned to work toward being desired, but we’re not supposed to have desires of our own. It really is commendable in our disposal times to go through the journey of really honoring the love that brought you together in the first place and to really give it everything you’ve got. But you can’t do that without that love and acceptance of yourself.”

Country singer Eric Church sparked controversy after canceling his upcoming concert to attend an NCAA Final Four game and now, his peers are weighing in on the backlash.

"I don’t know that I could cancel a show to make it to a game," Jason Aldean said during a Thursday, March 31, appearance on E! News' Daily Pop. "I feel like people buying a ticket to come see your show, you kind of have to hold up your end of the deal on that."

The 45-year-old "Big Green Tractor" crooner continued: "I don’t know if I could pull it off."

Church, 44, made headlines earlier this week when he announced that his Saturday, April 2, show in San Antonio, Texas, had been scrapped so he could watch his favorite team play in the Final Four.

"This Saturday, my family and I are going to stand together to cheer on the Tar Heels as the team has made it to the Final Four," the "Guys Like Me" singer wrote in an email to ticket holders. “As a lifelong Carolina basketball fan, I've watched Carolina and Duke battle over the year but to have them matchup in the Final Four for the first time in history of the NCAA Tournament is any sports enthusiast's dream."

While the North Carolina native noted his actions were "selfish" to ask fans to "give up your Saturday night plans with us so that I can have this moment with my family and sports community."

Church added: "However, it's that same type of passion felt by the people who fill the seats at our concerts that makes us want to be part of a crowd at a game of this significance."

Following the musician's announcement, several fans were notably upset by the last-minute decision.

"He canceled the show which is so weird to me that he didn't postpone the show. He canceled. Like, that to me is the thing I would be really irritated by," Bobby Bones said during a Wednesday, March 30, episode of his The Bobby Bones Show, alleging that Church was letting his fans down. "In my life, there are only a few things that I would go, 'Hey, I can't do the show.'"

The Dancing With the Stars season 27 champ continued: "He sends a note out, and you gotta give him credit, and he's like 'it's the most selfish thing I've ever asked.' … Yes, it is selfish, but he admits to that. He could've just said, 'Uh, [I] got COVID.' The problem is when he shows up at the game with a fake mustache on. I can't hate it because I would do it similarly, only in those circumstances: Death, Arkansas sports [and if I was] sick, in that order."

Church, who is currently on his "Gather Again" tour across the U.S., has yet to publicly address the backlash.

Demi Moore’s New Boyfriend Daniel Humm: 5 Things to Know

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 10:59 AM PDT

A new romance! Demi Moore is officially dating chef Daniel Humm, Us Weekly can confirm.

Moore and Humm originally sparked romance rumors after they were spotted sitting together at Paris Fashion Week in March. The couple sat front row at the show alongside Maria Sharapova and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

The actress was previously married to Freddy Moore from 1980 to 1985. Two years later, the Indecent Proposal star tied the knot with Bruce Willis after they met on the set of Stakeout. The pair welcomed three daughters: Rumer in 1988, Scout in 1991 and Tallulah in 1994.

After 11 years of marriage, Moore and Willis announced their separation and filed for divorce in 2000. That same year, the Armageddon actor got honest about where the exes stood after their split.

“I still love Demi. We’re very close,” he explained during an interview with Rolling Stone in 2000. “We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we're probably as close now as we ever were. We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids. Our friendship continues. The institution has been set aside … It's difficult to live your life and marriage under a magnifying glass, which is what happens to movie star couples.”

Moore, for her part, later addressed how she has dealt with the ups and downs in her romantic life.

“It’s a process of learning to love yourself,” the G.I. Jane star, who was later married to Ashton Kutcher from 2005 to 2013, explained on an episode of SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show in July 2020.

Amid the changes in her love life, the New Mexico native’s close bond with Willis has been a consistent topic of conversation. After the Fortress actor exchanged vows with Emma Heming Willis, his coparenting relationship with Moore continued to flourish.

In March 2022, the Charlie’s Angels star supported Willis’ decision to step away from Hollywood. "As a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia," an Instagram statement from Bruce’s wife, Moore and his children read. "As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him."

The post noted that Willis’ cognitive abilities have been impacted by his medical diagnosis. “This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support,” his loved ones concluded. “We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.”

That same month, Moore made her first public appearance with Humm.

2. He Has Used His Restaurant to Give Back
During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Humm converted his temporary closed restaurant into a commissary to provide free meals to food-insecure New Yorkers. Eleven Madison Park partnered up with nonprofit Rethink Food to prepare and deliver meals. Humm expanded that into a truck that serves meals to the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. "Turning the restaurant into a community kitchen during the pandemic had a big impact. We cooked over a million meals for food-insecure New Yorkers and it brought up a lot of things like: What is luxury? What does it even mean? It’s just this idea," Humm said during an interview with Departures in June 2021. "I mean, there’s no way around it — Eleven Madison Park is a luxury brand. So then what is our role within that?"   Alex Berliner/BEI/Shutterstock
3. He Has a Passion for Plant-Based Cuisine
After reopening Eleven Madison Park amid the pandemic, Humm transitioned the location into a plant-based focused eatery. Humm also announced that every meal at Eleven Madison Park would pay for five meals distributed to those in need for free. In March 2022, the restaurant owner opened up about his commitment to the cause even if that meant walking away from future projects. "I knew in my heart that I needed to double down on my values and commit to what I believe is right for our community and our planet. I have committed to using my skills and creativity for a plant-based future; to open minds and, hopefully, to lessen the objections to this kind of change," he wrote via Instagram at the time. The Hacksaw Ridge actor, 38, appeared to mimic the viral moment in a video taken outside the Dolby Theatre on Sunday, March 27. The U.K. native seemed to say, “What the f–k are you doing?” to a friend before making a slapping motion with his hands in the clip, obtained by Splash News and shared by UnCrazed on Friday, March 31.

The Amazing Spider-Man star also popped up in a viral screenshot that showed him texting during the Oscars ceremony. “Andrew Garfield texting the other Peter Parkers to see if Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in their universes too,” one Twitter user joked on Monday, March 28, after the Academy Awards aired.

Garfield was nominated for best actor at Sunday’s show for his work in Tick, Tick … BOOM!, but he lost to Smith, 53, who won for his performance in King Richard. The Men in Black star’s first Oscar victory was overshadowed by what happened earlier in the evening, when he slapped Rock, 57, after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith‘s haircut.

One day after the show, the Philadelphia native publicly apologized to the Saturday Night Live alum. "Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive," he wrote via Instagram on Monday. "My behavior at last night's Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally."

Rock, for his part, addressed the incident during a stand-up performance in Boston on Wednesday, March 30. “How was your weekend?" the Grown Ups star asked the audience before starting his show. "I'm still processing what happened.”

An insider exclusively told Us Weekly that the crowd "laughed a lot and it really cut the tension" for Rock, who received a standing ovation at the end of his set. A second source noted that Smith has not personally reached out to Rock since the Oscars.

"Chris is focusing on his tour," the insider added. "He's moving on and is looking forward to his upcoming gigs."

Awards show viewers praised the Top Five actor for his ability to recover after the altercation, but producer Will Packer revealed on Friday, April 1, that he wasn’t sure how the ceremony would continue in the moment.

“He certainly saved what was left of [the show] at that point,” Packer, 47, said of Rock during an interview with Good Morning America. “It’s bittersweet. … You have all these moments that are overshadowed now.”

Who Is Tyler Hynes? 6 Things to Know About the Hallmark Channel Star

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 10:14 AM PDT

That's Amore! Tyler Hynes has been a Hallmark Channel staple since 2018 — and with more than 10 films on the network under his belt, he's only getting started.

The 35-year-old actor made his Hallmark debut as a businessman named Zac, who gets roped into participating in a bachelor auction, in Falling for You. However, Hynes' career in front of the camera started decades before that movie came out.

His first big screen credit came in 1998 with Little Men. The same year, he appeared in Home Team. Hynes went on to find success as a TV actor with roles on Amazon, Valemont, Saving Hope, UnREAL and Letterkenny.

Over the years, the Canadian filmmaker has managed to find his way back to the Hallmark Channel. He starred in his first holiday movie for the network in 2018's It's Christmas, Eve and has never looked back.

Hynes' most recent film, Always Amore — which comes out on Sunday, April 3, on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel — marks his 12th leading role for the network. This time around, he's honoring the service industry and highlighting the art of Italian cooking alongside Autumn Reeser.

"To everyone in the hospitality industry who's done their best to keep their doors open these past few years, successfully or not, this one's for you," the star wrote via Instagram in February after the movie was announced. "When your doors are open, we'll be there🙏🏻. Ciao, Bella ;)."

In the film, Hynes' character, Ben, is enlisted to help Elizabeth (Reeser) keep her late husband's Italian restaurant afloat. Despite butting heads at the start of the project, the two seemingly put aside their differences and fall for each other.

Hynes described his costar as "very, very talented" and "sweet and lovely" during a March episode of the "Dear Hallmark" podcast. Their onscreen chemistry, however, didn’t help the Winter in Vail star from avoiding an on-set mishap toward the end of shooting.

"The last injury I had was on this movie though and it was a doozy," Hynes told Remark the Show in March. "I got a concussion while making this movie in the last two days."

The Flip That Romance actor clarified that he didn't get hurt while filming a scene, but rather while he was by himself on location. "I've had some spills in my time, this one really rocked my noodle and I was out of it. … I was by myself, just head in my hand, blood in my hands," he recalled. "And I was concussed and very much out of it."

Hynes added that he was "fully concussed" when he went back to shooting the last few scenes of Always Amore.

Hynes played a waiter in My Christmas Family Tree, which starred Walker as Kris. Meanwhile, Walker was featured as a restaurant patron in An Unexpected Christmas where Hynes portrayed Jamie, a man afraid to tell his parents that he was no longer dating Emily (Bethany Joy Lenz). Us Weekly confirms that the Academy “has talked to all parties involved,” including Smith, 53, and Chris Rock. “Will was told that his actions would have consequences,” a source says, adding that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum “apologized again” to the organization over Zoom. (Reps did not immediately respond for comment.)

The Will author stormed the stage at the Dolby Theatre during the awards ceremony on Sunday, March 27, to defend wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who was the subject of Rock’s joke about a G.I. Jane sequel. The Red Table Talk host, 50, has lost hair due to alopecia, and her husband later told his Instagram followers that he “reacted emotionally” to the quip.

“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable,” the King Richard actor wrote in a statement on Monday, March 28, extending a public apology to Rock. “I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

Multiple sources later confirmed to Us that Smith has not spoken with Rock privately about the incident. The comedian went on to tell fans during a stand-up gig in Boston on Wednesday, March 30, that he hasn’t “talked to anyone,” despite reports otherwise.

At the same show, the Grown Ups actor said that he was “still processing” what went down during the Oscars telecast, but he hasn’t addressed the altercation at length. Producer Will Packer, meanwhile, broke his silence on the situation during an interview with Good Morning America, defending Smith’s best actor win — and the standing ovation he received.

“It doesn’t make anything that he did right and doesn’t excuse that behavior at all,” the 47-year-old said on Friday, April 1. “But I think that the people in that room who stood up [were standing] for somebody they knew who was a friend, who was a peer, who was a brother, who has a three decades-plus career of being the opposite of what we saw in that a moment. I think these people saw the person that they know and were hoping that somehow, someway, this was an aberration. That Chris comes back and says, ‘Ha, we got you all.'”

Packer continued, “I don’t think that these were people that were applauding anything at all about that moment. And all these people saw their friend at his absolute worst moment and were hoping that they could encourage him and lift him up, and that he would somehow try to make it better.”

As the incident continues to make headlines, the Academy launched a “formal review” of the events that occurred, claiming in a statement on Wednesday that Smith “refused” to leave despite being asked.

“Mr. Smith’s actions at the 94th Oscars were a deeply shocking, traumatic event to witness in-person and on television,” the statement noted. “Mr. Rock, we apologize to you for what you experienced on our stage and thank you for your resilience in that moment. We also apologize to our nominees, guests and viewers for what transpired during what should have been a celebratory event. Things unfolded in a way we could not have anticipated.”

While Chris Rock immediately went into "joke mode" after being slapped by Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars, there was some underlying emotion.

"I said, 'Did he really hit you?' and he looked at me and goes, 'Yeah! I just took a punch from Muhammad Ali.' He was immediately in joke mode but you could tell that he was very much still in shock," show producer Will Packer said during a Friday, April 1, interview on Good Morning America, noting that he initially thought the encounter between Rock, 57, and Smith, 53, was a planned "bit."

Smith notably played Richard Williams, the father of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, in the King Richard biopic. The role earned him the trophy for Best Lead Actor during the Sunday awards show. Rock's monologue aired ahead of Smith's eventual win.

"I wasn't concerned at all," Packer, 47, told GMA host T.J. Holmes. "I figured, 'OK, you know, he's going to say something, come at him, something funny is going to happen because that's the nature of Chris, that's the nature of Will so let's see what happens.' … Once I saw Will yelling at the stage with such vitriol, my heart dropped and I remember thinking 'Oh no, oh no, not like this' and Chris was keeping his head when everybody else was losing theirs."

During the 94th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 27, the Everybody Hates Chris alum joked about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, joining the cast of a potential G.I. Jane sequel due to her shaved head. (The Maryland native previously has been vocal about losing her hair as a result of struggling with alopecia.) Though Pinkett Smith, 50, stayed mum during the ceremony, save for a subtle eye roll caught on camera, the King Richard star walked up on stage and smacked Rock across the face.

"Keep my wife's name out your f—king mouth," Smith shouted at the comedian after returning to his seat.

During the Friday interview, Packer praised how the Saturday Night Live alum handled the incident.

"Because Chris handled the moment with such grace and aplomb, it allowed the show to continue," the Florida native told GMA. "Because Chris continued the way he did — he completed the category, he handed the [Best Documentary Feature] trophy to Questlove, somebody who was really robbed of their moment — it gave us license to continue the show, which is what we were trying to do."

While Smith has since apologized for his actions, the show producers were "prepared" for the Los Angeles Police Department to arrest him during the show, but Rock chose not to press charges. (Us Weekly previously confirmed that the Grown Ups actor did not file a report with the LAPD.)

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, for its part, issued a statement earlier this week, noting that they asked Smith to leave the Dolby Theatre following the altercation but he allegedly refused.

"I also feel really happy at the moment and I feel like it’s the first time I feel like I’m kind of making music and putting music out from a real place of kind of personal freedom," the England native, 28, said during a Friday, April 1, interview on SiriusXM's "The Morning Mash Up" radio show, noting how that mindset has influenced his songwriting. "That is a really liberating place to be kind of creating from and now putting [my 'As It Was' single] out. So, the process for me has been, has been easily the most joyous of anything that I’ve kind of experienced so far while making music."

He continued: "I feel very lucky that this is kind of the proudest I’ve been of something that I’ve made so far. And I feel, like, kind of the most comfortable I’ve been with myself and happiest with what I’m making and the best I felt about something that I’m making. … I think that can be a good thing if use it the right way."

The former One Direction singer — who completed his "Love on Tour" concerts late last year — is set to release his third solo album, Harry's House, next month. The first single "As It Was," dropped on Thursday, March 31.

"So, the [songwriting] process for me has been easily the most joyous of anything that I’ve kind of experienced so far while making music," Styles added on Friday. "And I kind of want to just continue that in putting it out. So, the reward has very much been in the process and that helps with, you know, any pressure that it might be under. It’s easier to kind of feel that a little bit less and just be really happy with what is that we made."

The "Sweet Creature" crooner and the 38-year-old Booksmart director were first linked in January 2021 after they connected on the set of her second directorial picture, Don't Worry Darling. The movie, set for a September release, also stars Florence Pugh.

"Harry and Olivia had chemistry almost instantaneously on set," a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. "It was only a matter of time before they got together."

While the pair have kept their blossoming relationship to themselves, Wilde — who shares son Otis, 7, and daughter Daisy, 5, with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis — has been spending more time in London with her beau and accompanying him on his tour.

"Olivia and Harry have an ease to their relationship, they love and support each other, but also let each other be free and work on their own," a second insider told Us in July 2021. "Both of them respect the other's work and never want to get in the way of each other."

Does Harry Styles Hint at Olivia Wilde Romance in His New Single?

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 08:14 AM PDT

From coworkers to so much more! Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles took fans by surprise with their whirlwind romance, which began when they met on the set of Don't Worry Darling.

The duo made headlines when they were photographed holding hands at Styles’ manager’s wedding in January 2021. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that the twosome sparked a connection when they started working together.

Harry and Olivia had chemistry almost instantaneously on set," the insider said. "It was only a matter of time before they got together.”

Wilde’s romance with the British singer came two months after she split from fiancé Jason Sudeikis and three months after Styles joined her film. Sudeikis and the Booksmart director, who were together for over a decade, share two children: son Otis and daughter Daisy.

When reports of the relationship first emerged, a source told Us that Styles was not the reason for the House alum's split from the Ted Lasso star.

“Harry did not break up an engagement,” the source said.

Although Styles didn’t come inbetween Wilde and Sudeikis, the new couple still tried to keep their relationship quiet on set in the beginning.

“Olivia and Harry were able to keep their relationship under wraps for a bit before it became public knowledge,” an insider told Us in January 2021. “They were very careful about it and even sleuthy at times, although the small group of people who were on set with them every day eventually figured it out.”

The psychological thriller, which revolves around a housewife in the 1950s, also stars Florence Pugh, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne and Nick Kroll.

After filming wrapped in February 2021, Wilde joined Styles in London, where they enjoyed some time to themselves.

“People tend to respect people’s privacy in London, so they probably feel comfortable walking around by themselves and don’t feel like they need a bodyguard,” an insider told Us in April 2021.

The duo were “spotted at local pubs” during their London getaway.

“They were walking close to each other and had their arms linked together,” added an insider, who bumped into the duo on one of their casual strolls. “They seemed very couply and cuddly with one another.”

The couple's romance continued to heat up, with the Life Itself actress openly supporting her beau's music and film careers. She "obviously" watched his Eternals appearance, which she noted via an Instagram comment, and even danced — along with her kids and his mother, Anne, — at various "Love on Tour" concerts.

"Olivia was nonstop dancing on the floor at Harry's show at Madison Square Garden," an eyewitness exclusively told Us of Wilde's attendance at the musician's October 2021 tour stop in New York City.

As filming for Don’t Worry Darling started to wrap, the New York native took to social media to celebrate her cast. "Little known fact: most male actors don’t want to play supporting roles in female-led films," Wilde wrote via Instagram in February 2021. "The industry has raised them to believe it lessens their power (i.e financial value) to accept these roles, which is one of the reasons it's so hard to get financing for movies focusing on female stories. No joke, it is harrrrrd to find actors who recognize why it might be worth it to allow for a woman to hold the spotlight." She continued: "Enter: @harrystyles, our 'Jack.' Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our 'Alice,' but he infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity. He didn't have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards. 👊 #dontworrydarling." Styles was cast alongside Emma Corrin in My Policeman — and PDA-filled pics from set sent fans into a frenzy. "Olivia's really smitten by Harry,” an insider exclusively told Us after the couple were spotted packing on the PDA on vacation in Italy. “He makes her really happy. A Complete Timeline of Kanye West and Chaney Jones’ Relationship

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 08:00 AM PDT

As his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, has gotten more serious with boyfriend Pete Davidson, Kanye West has not been shy about showing off his new romance with Chaney Jones on social media.

The Yeezy designer was first spotted with the model at a party in Malibu in January, while he was still casually dating Julia Fox. Nine days later, Jones turned heads at the listening party for West’s album, Donda 2, bearing a striking resemblance to Kardashian in an all-black catsuit, knee-high boots and blue glasses. On February 14, Us Weekly confirmed that West had split from the Uncut Gems actress after less than two months of dating.

“Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators but they are no longer together,” a representative for the actress told Us at the time.

His relationship with Jones, however, was just heating up. The Delaware native fueled romance rumors throughout the month, frequently posting photos wearing outfits similar to ones Kardashian has previously been spotted in. "His muse," she captioned a series of pictures wearing a Yeezy-esque ensemble on February 1. One week later, she posed next to several Akira graphic novels after West mentioned he had the same collection.

The “Flashing Lights” performer seemingly confirmed his romance with the social media influencer on March 1, with a since-deleted screenshot of an article about himself and Jones via Instagram. The post included a snap from The Shade Room that showed the duo out together with the caption, "It appears #Ye and his new boo #ChaneyJones are going strong.”

“They're not exclusive," an insider exclusively told Us earlier this month. “She's his muse and hangs out with his posse.”

On March 30, Page Six Style reported that West had gifted the social media influencer a rare Birkin bag worth $275,000. The producer has famously gifted both Kardashian and Fox Birkin bags during their relationships. For the No Sudden Move actress’ 32nd birthday in early February, West treated her and four of her closet friends to the luxury handbags, all inspired by their respective personalities.

For her part, Jones requested a silver metallic Chèvre leather bag with palladium hardware. It was purchased from Privé Porter at Jones' request: “It's one of the most famous and sought after Birkins in the world," CEO of Privé Porter, Michelle Berk, told Entertainment Tonight. "The demand is because of the beauty and uniqueness of the bag — as well as the limited production numbers."

Double Take
After being spotted hanging with West's friends at the end of January and attending a basketball game at his Donda Academy in Chicago, the University of Delaware graduate attended the Donda 2 listening party looking like the spitting image of Kardashian. Around the same time, Jones posted a photo wearing a Yeezy-inspired ensemble on Instagram, along with the caption "his muse." MEGA
Dropping Hints
Jones continued to tease her connection to the "Jesus Walks" rapper on social media after making headlines for her resemblance to the SKIMS founder. In addition to posting a scantily-clad photo posing next to a stack of Akira graphic novels — a series which West previously mentioned owning — the model showed off her curves in several bikini shots before posting a pair of pictures on February 26 where she wore nothing but her hair extensions that strongly resembled Kardashian's content. Courtesy of Chaney Jones/Instagram
Fueling the Rumors
On February 28, Jones fueled the romance rumors even more by sharing a selfie on her Instagram Story in which West appeared to have his arm wrapped around her. She added a single black heart emoji to the post. Courtesy of Chaney Jones/Instagram
The Real Deal
The Grammy winner seemingly confirmed his relationship with Jones just two days later, when he shared a post from The Shade Room that stated they were "going strong" amid his ongoing divorce drama.  MEGA
Keeping it Casual
While a source close to the twosome told Us that they were "not exclusive," it was clear that West felt a strong connection to his new muse. “She’s a beautiful model and looks like Kim. So, obviously, he’s attracted to her," the insider explained. “He would pick Kim over anyone but since they’re no longer dating, he’s doing the next best thing — creating another Kim Kardashian. Chaney is going along with it and is loving his fashion suggestions. They’re enjoying spending time together." Backgrid/MEGA
Date Night
The pair attended a Los Angeles Lakers game on March 11, where they were photographed smiling and cuddling while watching the game. Jones commemorated the evening by sharing several paparazzi photos of them entering the Crypto.com arena on Instagram. "Date Night," she captioned the post, along with a black heart emoji. One of a Kind
Despite the constant comparisons to Kardashian, Jones told TMZ on March 18 that she doesn't see a resemblance between herself and the Selfish author. “No, not really,” she said at the time, adding that "[Kanye and I], we don’t speak about [Kim].” Courtesy of Chaney Jones/Instagram; E! Celebrity Couples Who Have Pranked Each Other

Posted: 01 Apr 2022 08:00 AM PDT

Gotcha! For some celebrity couples, silly pranks are a lifestyle. Whether it’s April Fools’ Day or not, they love to show their love by joking around with one another.

In 2017, Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington pulled one of the most epic pranks on his wife, Rose Leslie, whom he met while filming the HBO show.

Harington shared a clip of the April Fools’ Day prank on The Jonathan Ross Show, filming his unsuspecting wife opening the refrigerator to grab a pitcher of water. A moment later, she ran from the fridge screaming, falling to the floor to catch her breath.

In the refrigerator was what appeared to be a severed head that looked just like Harington. "She pretty much told me if I ever did it again, that would be it. And I think that's marriage included," the London native said.

Other celebrity couples are known to often document their pranks on social media, such as Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Reynolds is famous for his sense of humor, but the Gossip Girl alum has frequently excelled at one-upping her husband.

The wisecracking lovebirds, who married in 2012, often publicly joke with each other. In 2016, The Adam Project actor wished his wife a happy 29th birthday with a hilarious tweet: “Just want to wish Billy Ray Cyrus the most special, magical birthday ever. I love you with all my heart. Also, Happy Birthday to my wife.”

In 2021, Lively had some fun by posting a photo on her Instagram Story, sitting between him and Gigi Hadid for the supermodel’s birthday. “Happy birthday @gigihadid,” she wrote. “I think you and I make a much better couple.”

In 2015, Smith posted a photo of his wife on Facebook with a Popsicle stick tucked into her bra strap on the back of her left shoulder. "I got board and put a Popsicle stick under Jada's strap," he wrote, making a fun pun on the word "bored" in his caption. "I wonder how long before she notices." Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent
Berkus once posted a #TBT photo of his husband on Instagram, captioning the picture, “Guys, you’re welcome.” Brent commented that he hated Berkus for doing so, but Berkus later cleared things up in an Instagram Story, revealing that it was all in good fun. Another birthday, another prank. In 2017, Reynolds wished his wife a happy birthday by posting a photo with her, though Lively was mostly cropped out. This beloved Bachelor couple had a bit of a prank war in 2017 just before April Fools’ Day. Giudici kicked things off by drawing a mustache on her husband’s face while he was asleep. Later, when she fell asleep, Lowe got revenge, pulling out a pair of scissors and cutting her hair while filming! The couple is still documenting pranks on Instagram in 2022. AP/Shutterstock
