'You’ve Changed My Life': 'RHONJ' Star Teresa Giudice Gushes Over Fiancé

Teresa Giudice and her fiancé, Luis Ruelas, are currently enjoying a tropical vacation in celebration of Ruelas' birthday. And, throughout their much-needed time off, which came just weeks after the filming of the dramatic reunion special for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Giudice has shared a number of kind messages to her future spouse.

As Teresa Giudice celebrated fiancé Luis Ruelas' birthday in the Turks and Caicos, where they are staying at the luxurious Wymara resort, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member took to her Instagram page, where she shared a special birthday message to Ruelas with her fans and followers.

"Happy Birthday my Love," Giudice began, along with a birthday cake emoji and a red heart emoji.

As Giudice's message continued, the mother of four proclaimed that Ruelas "changed" her life.

Luis Ruelas Responded With A Kind Comment

After seeing what his future wife had written in her Instagram post, Ruelas responded to Giudice with a comment of his own, which read, "Thank you sweetheart. Teresa you are the gift and being able to love you everyday unconditionally is an even greater gift. I LOVE YOU with all my heart."

A number of Giudice's Real Housewives of New Jersey castmates also spoke out in the comments section fo her post, with Dolores Catania writing, "Happy birthday [Lou] wishing [you] all [the] best."

Ripa's picture of choice is from Spring Season 2009 and she's wearing a sleeveless turquoise dress with her blonde hair resting on her shoulders while Lola wore a patterned white and black dress and her bright smile complimenting her mother.

Celebrating Joaquin On His 19th Birthday

In February, the family celebrated Joaquin's 19th birthday and Kelly posted a picmix showing different phases of his life from his childhood to university. The TV host chose three pictures showing the young man in his wrestling/boxing gear and one of him and his father Mark Consuelos at his graduation ceremony.

NBA News: Stan Van Gundy Doesn't See Zion Williamson Pushing His Way To The Knicks

Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans remain on uneasy footing.

As much as both sides are downplaying the situation, there is rising internal tension. Those factors have placed doubt around Williamson's long-term future in New Orleans. However, former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy doesn't see that leading the star big man to eventually play for the New York Knicks.

Stan Van Gundy Doesn't Envision Zion Williamson Joining The Knicks

Throughout the entire ordeal surrounding Williamson and the Pelicans, the Knicks remain circled as the desired destination.

It's widely believed that the star big man initially wanted to be drafted by New York, but the team failed to secure the top overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. However, former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy recently told The New York Post that he doesn't believe Williamson will one day play for the Knicks.

“It’s always a plan that all these free agents want to come there,” Van Gundy told The Post. “And their fans think everybody wants to come to New York to play. But what is the example of that to use — the high-profile free agents who have come there? A lot of New Yorkers think everyone has New York at the top of their list and the Knicks are picking and choosing. That’s not the way it’s been working the last 20-plus years.”

Zion Williamson Is Eligible For An Extension

Another important wrinkle in the situation is that the All-Star big man is up for a max rookie extension after the 2021-22 season.

The Pelicans can offer Williamson a projected five-year, $186 million deal that will pay him roughly $32.03 million in the first year of the contract. Although he has experienced concerning injury issues, it's hard to envision the team not exploring this route.

When healthy, he's one of the game's best young talents. The question remains whether he will hammer out that deal or leave his long-term future open.

The Knicks' Ability To Land Star Players

The Knicks possess the allure of playing in Madison Square Garden and a passionate fan base, but it hasn't translated to star players joining the franchise. LeBron James alone passed on playing for New York multiple times in free agency.

Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving recently suggested that he and Kevin Durant almost considered signing with the organization in the summer of 2019. Williamson could become the exception to that notion, but it's hard for Van Gundy to believe it will happen.

Zion Williamson's Contract

The 21-year-old is in the third year of his four-year, $44.2 million rookie deal that runs through the 2022-23 campaign. His current contract possesses a $17.5 million qualifying offer for the 2023-24 season that would keep him a restricted free agent, giving the Pelicans the chance to match any offer.

Much can change in the coming months, but Williamson's extension situation is something the Knicks will monitor closely.

Nude Artist In Action

Michelle Obama kicked off her final time with Ellen DeGeneres on the show, which will end soon with nude life-drawing. The former first lady and host of the show were captured in a painting class drawing a nude man to showcase their artistic talents. They have been on the show for a long time and built a beautiful relationship along the way. They had an amazing one-on-one time together to mark the end of the show, although the first lady will also appear on the show before it is wrapped up in May.

Fun Times

The Ellen DeGeneres Show started in 2003 and has aired over 3,200 episodes in 19 seasons. Michelle first appeared on the show in 2012, where she and the host engaged in a push-up competition. The host only got to 20 points, but the fun time continued for the former first lady as she continued to push up. Another fun time on the show was in 2015 when Michelle and Ellen engaged in a dance-off to 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson. The show was highly liked by the former first lady, and she became a co-host for a year which featured two episodes of them running it together in season 14. She returned to the show for its 18 and 19th seasons after celebrating Ellen's 60th birthday in 2018. Unfortunately, the show will be ending due to some controversies in the workplace. 

Embracing Daughters' Love Lives

The two beautiful daughters of the former first lady, Sasha, and Malia, have grown into amazing women over the years. Michelle opened up about her daughters' love life with them now bringing men home. She shared her joy in seeing her children home during the pandemic, even if it was for a short time. She expressed her readiness to see them live their lives, with them being 23 and 20 years. Michelle explained, "Before, it was just like pop bands. Now they have boyfriends and real lives."

Michelle Obama also talked about how she was able to raise her daughters as normal as she could even though she grew up in the white house. Being a mother required a lot of attention to the children, and the former first lady was able to raise her children normally thanks to the advice of her mother, who lived at the presidential house. 'The System Doesn't Work For Women': Jodie Comer On Rape And Accountability

Jodie Comer doesn't shy away from playing complicated, fearless women. If you know her work, then you know of her brilliant turn as Villanelle in Killing Eve. You may have also seen her in Doctor Foster, Free Guy, or Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. But much of her work has been devoted to giving women a voice, particularly when it comes to sexual violence and oppression.

Her latest role, Prima Facie, is a one-woman play that debuted at the Harold Pinter Theater in London, on April 15, 2022. The play, which runs for 9 weeks, follows a British barrister who defends men accused of sexual assault. After experiencing sexual assault, she moves through the legal system as a victim instead of a high-powered lawyer, soon learning the hard lessons that most victims know: justice is elusive and rarely handed down by the courts. In the United States, a woman is raped every 2 minutes; mostly these cases go unreported and unprosecuted. Worldwide, nearly a billion women have experienced rape, sexual assault, or sexual abuse.

Comer has spoken out about rape and the legal system in recent weeks, as she promotes Prima Facie. Keep reading for a closer look at the defiant women she's played, what she learned from Prima Facie, and the charity her work supports.

'Killing Eve' And Villanelle

Killing Eve was the show that catapulted Comer to stardom in 2018. It wouldn't be accurate or fair to describe Villanelle, her character, as a victim. Her rebelliousness, her callousness, her playfulness - all of it imbued Villanelle with a lack of self-consciousness and a sense of freedom. But, as fans will remember, Villanelle is trapped above all else, having been sold into slavery. Comer's journey as Villanelle is, at least in part, about how a trapped woman fights her way out of her chains. For Villanelle, it means killing the members of the shadowy organization that controls her life. Comer breathes defiant life into the character, turning the story of an assassin into the story of a woman who overcomes a type of violent enslavement.

The Last Duel And Maguerite De Carrouges

In 2021, Comer took the role of Marguerite de Carrouges in Ridley Scott's film, The Last Duel. The film tackles the real-life 14th-century story of de Carrouges and the rape she suffered at the hands of Jacques Le Gris, her husband's rival. Le Gris and her husband fought in the last court-sanctioned duel in France, which is what lends the film its historical significance. But for Comer, the importance was in giving voice to de Carrouges.

Comer talked with the L.A. Times, noting that for her, "it was an opportunity to give her a voice. As long as it was told in a way that is respectful, it isn’t gratuitous. It isn’t serving the male gaze. These stories are hugely important because they hold a mirror up to us as a society. Sometimes you have to think, 'Wow, we really haven’t gone that far'. She acknowledged seeing women abused onscreen can be triggering for people, but also feels that when "there is an opportunity to say something and make us look at ourselves and evaluate — it may make you feel awful, but it is provoking emotions. That’s what I always want to do with my work."

Prima Facie And Tessa Ensler

Prima Facie, written by Suzie Miller, was meant to show that sexual law does not "fit the lived experience of women". The critically acclaimed play is selling tickets strictly on a pay-what-you-can basis and has sold out consistently. It comes at a time when parts of the United Kingdom have seen a terribly sharp rise in sexual assault cases with a dismally low record of successful prosecutions. Comer spent time with legal professionals to research her role, saying that she hadn't been "aware of how much responsibility was put on the victim and how long they have to wait between reporting a crime and trial — it can be around two and a half years".

When Comer told the L.A. Times that "it’s very evident that the system doesn’t work for women. If a woman reports being raped, it's her that is on trial", she was speaking an important truth. Rapists and abusers are not being held accountable, and the situation is rapidly worsening. The Schools Consent Project

The Schools Consent Project is a British organization started by barrister Kate Parker in 2014. Comer announced a partnership with the organization and Prima Facie, which would help bring students from 10 different schools to see the play. The SCP sends lawyers into schools to educate children ages 11-18 on the legal definition of consent and sexual assault/rape. The aim is to help them identify and communicate their boundaries, as well.

Comer spoke about the partnership, saying "The Schools Consent Project is something that I wish had been available to my friends and me growing up. It's crucial that we include younger people in this important conversation. It's an honour to be able to partner with this great initiative."

Comer's acting raises awareness about the issues that women face, particularly when it comes to violence and oppression. Her choices as an actress have been brave and sometimes shocking, but always thought-provoking and strong.
