"Scott has moved on from Sofia. It’s been almost two years since they broke up," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly of the Talentless owner’s reaction to Richie’s engagement announcement. "He would be happy for her and just wish her well. He’s not heartbroken over this, that’s for sure. He’s way more heartbroken over Kourtney’s engagement to Travis.”

The 23-year-old model — who dated Disick, 38, for three years before calling it quits in August 2020 — shared her engagement news via Instagram on Wednesday, April 20.

“Forever isn’t long enough,” she captioned the slideshow of her and Grainge, 27, which included a photo of him popping the question and a picture of them kissing with her ring on display.

Disick’s attention, the source noted, is more focused on Kardashian, 43. The entrepreneur even cited this as the reason Richie broke up with him in the first place.

"The truth is, anybody dating somebody is going to feel neglected when their significant other is spending more time with their ex than with them," he said during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in March 2021.

The Poosh founder got engaged to Barker, 46, in October 2021 after less than a year of dating. The Flip It Like Disick alum, who shares three children with Kardashian — Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6 — has had a particularly difficult time with the couple’s romance.

While the New York native "knew [the engagement] was possible, [he] is very jealous of Kourtney and Travis relationship,” the insider claimed at the time, adding, “He still thinks they could call things off before the wedding."

Though the businessman has been "looking for the right person to settle down" with — Disick is currently dating model Rebecca Donaldson — he “hasn't found [that person] yet since Kourtney," the first source tells Us.

Hours after Richie’s announcement, not only was he was spotted lounging poolside in Miami with Kim Kardashian‘s ex-best friend Larsa Pippen, he took to Instagram to compare himself to Charlie, Dane Cook‘s character in Good Luck Chuck, whose exes always get engaged after breaking up with him.

“In the 305, just call me good luck Chuck,” the reality star captioned a photo of himself driving a boat in the ocean.

Everything We Know So Far About ASAP Rocky's Arrest at LAX Airport

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 05:46 PM PDT

Rapper ASAP Rocky was taken into custody shortly after returning home from vacation with his pregnant girlfriend, Rihanna.

The "Praise the Lord" performer, 33, was arrested at Los Angeles International airport on Wednesday, April 20.

"The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Rakim Mayers, a Los Angeles resident, better known as music artist ASAP Rocky," a Twitter statement from the Los Angeles Police Department read on Wednesday.

The LAPD noted that Rocky — who has been dating the 34-year-old songstress since February 2020 — allegedly got into an altercation with an "acquaintance" in November 2021. As the argument escalated, the suspect fired a handgun at the victim. According to the statement, Rocky and two other men had reportedly fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and Rocky was arrested on Wednesday for assault with a deadly weapon. (Us Weekly has reached out to Rocky's representatives.)

Ahead of the New York native's arrest, Rocky enjoyed a getaway to Rihanna's native Barbados. The twosome — who announced in January they are expecting their first child together — were spotted arm in arm at the local airport on April 15. The "Diamonds" singer cuddled up to her beau in snaps obtained by TMZ. The pair's getaway came less than one week after he was accused of cheating on the pregnant star with Fenty designer Amina Muaddi, who has since denied the claims.

Rocky was previously charged with attempted murder as a teenager after firing a gun at a man who attempted to intimidate him back when he was a 16-year-old drug dealer. Rocky confessed to the charges, admitting that he believed the victim was reaching for a weapon of his own. After serving jail time, the charges were eventually reduced.

"He tried to come at me in front of some ladies. And I was little. He was a little bit older than me," Rocky recalled during an appearance on Angie Martinez's The Untold Stories of Hip Hop in October 2019.

The "Fashion Killa" musician was later arrested in Stockholm, Sweden, for an alleged assault after getting into an altercation with Mustafa Jafari in June 2019. Rocky was convicted that August, serving a suspended prison sentence and paying a $1,270 fine.

"The question is whether he'll have the energy and stamina to do this one more time given all the circus around it," Rocky's defense attorney, Slobodan Jovicic, told The New York Times of an appeal, noting his disappointment that the rapper was not acquitted of all charges.

"Ahead of the Queen's 96th birthday tomorrow, @royalwindsorhorseshow have released a new photograph of Her Majesty with two of her fell ponies, Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale," the royal family's official Instagram page captioned the snap on Wednesday, April 20.

In the photo, Her Majesty, 95, is wearing a long, evergreen coat dress and black loafers. The queen is smiling as she holds onto two white horses while standing in front of a white, flowering tree.

According to the social media post, the picture was taken in March on the grounds of Windsor Castle in England. It is the fourth snap in a series of photos of the monarch released by the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the family revealed.

The organization previously unveiled images of Elizabeth for her Golden Jubilee, her Platinum Jubilee and her 90th birthday. "First staged in 1943, the Queen has attended every single Royal Windsor Horse Show," the post concluded.

The new birthday picture comes amid the royal family's countdown to her majesty's Platinum Jubilee celebration in June. In honor of the milestone, which marks Elizabeth's 70th year on the British throne, the Firm has been releasing a photo a day via Instagram for the 70 days leading up to the celebration.

Each photo is from a different year of the queen's reign, including Wednesday's black-and-white image of Elizabeth standing beside Queen Margarethe of Denmark during a state visit to Copenhagen in 1979.

Us Weekly confirmed on Wednesday that Elizabeth plans to enjoy her upcoming birthday solo after making her way to Norfolk, England, earlier in the day. "The Queen will be spending her birthday privately," Buckingham Palace told Us in a statement.

While the royal won't have family by her side for her special day, she recently received a visit from grandson Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, on their way to the Netherlands for the 2022 Invictus Games.

"Being with her, it was great," Harry, 37, said of his visit with Elizabeth during his interview with Today's Hoda Kotb, which aired on Wednesday. "It was just so nice to see her. She's [in] great form."

The prince — who relocated to the U.S. with Meghan, 40, and their two children, Archie, 2, and Lili, 10 months, in 2020 — noted that he and his grandmother shared a laugh when he saw her last week.

"She's always got a great sense of humor with me," he said. "Both Meghan and I had tea with her. It was really nice to catch up with her."

The quick London stopover marked the first time Meghan had been back to the U.K. since the couple's royal step back in early 2020.

Harry, for his part, reunited with his family in April 2021 after the death of his grandfather Prince Philip and again in July of that year to unveil a statue of his late mother, Princess Diana, at Kensington Gardens with brother Prince William.

Family feud. Johnny Depp revealed that his daughter Lily-Rose Depp did not attend his 2015 wedding to Amber Heard — and he claims her absence was due to conflict allegedly caused by his ex-wife.

“My daughter Lily-Rose did not come to the wedding,” the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 58, said of his now-22-year-old daughter while testifying in court on Wednesday, April 20. “She and Ms. Heard were not on particularly great terms, for several reasons.”

The actor is suing Heard, 35, for defamation in Fairfax, Virginia, over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post. She discussed surviving several instances of abuse throughout her life, though she never named her ex-husband. However, the Golden Globe winner claims he lost his jobs with major franchises, including Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, due to her claims of abuse.

Johnny has accused Heard of lying about suffering domestic violence during their marriage. The pair met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2009 and married in 2015. Johnny recalled their wedding during the testimony, claiming that drugs were being passed around at the Texas native’s request.

“[Heard] was always quite fond of MDMA, which is ecstasy, and mushrooms. She had some medications she was on already,” he alleged in court. He went on to claim that their whole wedding plan was “dinner, dancing and drugs.” The Edward Scissorhands star said he smoked marijuana to celebrate.

Johnny also alleged that the Aquaman star monopolized his time, driving a wedge between him and his children. He shares Lily-Rose and Jack, now 20, with ex Vanessa Paradis, who he dated from 1998 to 2012. “[Amber] had to have me there at all times for her own needs,” he said.

He also alleged that Heard “would tell me what a bad father I was and that I had no idea how to parent.”

Amid Heard’s initial allegations that Depp abused her, Lily-Rose defended her father via Instagram in May 2016. “My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same,” she posted alongside a photo with her father taken years earlier.

Paradis, now 49, also supported her ex. “In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man that I lived with for 14 wonderful years,” she wrote in a May 2016 letter defending Johnny’s character.

Heard and Depp’s divorce reached a settlement in 2016, and their divorce was finalized in early 2017.

How Joe Jonas ‘Checks In’ With His Mental Health Daily

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 04:27 PM PDT

Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and more stars have shined a light on what it's really like to deal with mental health issues in the spotlight.

Being in the public eye is part of the job when becoming a star, but it can make it more difficult to navigate one's problems. Many stars, however, have used their platform to normalize mental health problems.

From sharing stories of postpartum depression to opening up about anxiety and suicidal thoughts, many of Hollywood's biggest names have become more vocal over the years about real-life struggles.

Ahead of welcoming her first child with Orlando Bloom, Perry got real about facing bouts of depression and self-doubt in the past during an August 2020 interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe. Following her 2017 breakup and Witness album releases, Perry revealed she became "clinically depressed and had to get on medication for the first time in my life.”

The "Roar" singer said she was "so ashamed of it" when she started taking medication. "I was like, ‘I’m Katy Perry. I wrote ‘Firework.’ I’m on medication. This is f—ed up,'" she recalled. The musician later learned how to "quiet it the f—k down" when it came to public criticism and went on a two year "psychological, spiritual, emotional journey."

In April 2020, Gomez revealed that she has bipolar disorder and explained that by knowing that truth about herself she was able to feel more at ease.

"When I have more information, it actually helps me, it doesn't scare me once I know it," the "Rare" singer said on an episode of Bright Minded: Live With Miley. "When I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it and it took the fear away."

Kristen Bell shared her own mental health journey during an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist in November 2019, noting that she felt "incredibly irresponsible" for not speaking out sooner.

"Everyone thinks there's some shame in it," the Frozen star said at the time. "I am someone who takes a medication for her anxiety and depression. I am someone who has to check myself and sometimes — if I'm feeling really low — make a checklist of good and bad things in my life to see if it's my mental state or if we really have a problem. And me talking about that actually came from [my husband, Dax Shepard]."

Demi Lovato, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Jon Hamm have also opted not to hide their issues, instead speaking out about their past demons.

Camila Cabello
The former Fifth Harmony member opened up in April 2022 about her struggle with anxiety, revealing that she was able to deal with it by seeking therapy. "There was a time where my anxiety felt so bad, I was like, ‘I don't feel like I can go in the studio. I don't feel like I can work,’” Cabello told E! News. "And so, the only way for me to go to work every day was to be honest and be myself. And if I didn't go to work and was just waiting for myself to feel better before I did that ... it's just a paralyzing feeling." The musician, whose third studio album, Familia, dropped the same month, credited therapy as her key to getting her life back. "My life was so bad and so painful that I was like, ‘If you tell me that eating s--t off the ground will make me feel better, I will do it,'" she shared. "I was like, ‘Yes, of course, therapy. All of it.'" Cabello, who split from Shawn Mendes in November 2021, previously discussed her battle with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in an essay for WSJ magazine. "My anxiety manifested in the form of obsessive-compulsive disorder," she wrote in May 2020. "OCD can take many different forms, and for me it was obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. To put it simply, it made me feel like my mind was playing a cruel trick on me." The “Havana” songstress recalled have chronic headaches and a constant inner battle with herself before getting help. "Today I am no longer in that internal war. I feel the healthiest and most connected to myself I’ve ever been, and nowadays I rarely suffer from OCD symptoms,” Cabello concluded. “Anxiety comes and goes, but now it feels like just another difficult emotion, as opposed to something that’s consuming my life." Kendall Jenner
The model has been open about suffering from anxiety and depression. “It’s important to have a space that’s just for you where you can let out your happiness,” she told i-D in February 2022. “Your anger, frustrations, and stress, the things that are freaking you out, the things that are making you happy and even just ideas.” She tries to put her thoughts in a journal once or twice a week. She called reading a “great form of therapy and form of distraction,” so she gets engrossed in novels to take her mind off whatever triggered her panic attacks. It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover was a recent read that stopped her mind from spiraling. Physical activity, whether working out or going for a walk with her dog, helps too. "I think I feel really good mentally when I feel really good physically,” she added. She even meditates and is researching sound healing. Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Oliver Hudson
In February 2022, the actor shared a video from June 2021 detailing his decision to stop taking Lexapro after five and a half years. “It’s been crushing, debilitating, just scary honestly,” he said in the clip. “But in this moment, right now, I feel good. I feel f—ing great and it may be fleeting. In an hour, I might be back to where I was but I'm going to bath in normalcy for a moment." In the caption, Hudson explained, “So this was June 30th of last year. I was in throes of intense anxiety. There were moments, very few, where I felt normal. I was gonna post this then but got nervous that it was too self indulgent and it very well may be but f— k it … I just came upon it and thought I’d share.. #seriousoliver.” Andy Kropa/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Lizzo
“I think the need to understand what self-care means matters more and more now," the “Juice” rapper told Yahoo! Life in February 2022. “It's not just like, 'Oh, I get pedicures every Sunday.’ ... That's great, that's a start. Real self-care is, like, hard work, you know what I mean? Real self-care isn't just treating 'yo self' or pampering myself.” Lizzo noted that she often turns to a high-impact workout when she wants to work off her stresses and anxieties, telling the outlet: “Sometimes, the stress that you're feeling, you've got to match that stress with something that's good for you to get it out of your body. Because I know that's what I deal with way more than anything these days, is stress and anxiety.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Katie Thurston
“I started taking antidepressants for the first time before my season aired. I thought I knew what to expect,” the former Bachelorette admitted in a January 2022 Instagram message. “I didn’t. I thought I was strong enough to handle the negativity. I wasn’t. But they say time heals everything. If anything, the sparks I once felt for life were doused with the judgement and criticism of not only strangers, but even ones I worked closely with. I was drowning in my tears, unable to even recognize the girl in the mirror. Was the old me really gone?” She explained how she learned to set better boundaries for herself by unfollowing certain social media accounts and limiting her screen time. With these new developments, she is in a much healthier place. Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock

In January 2022, the "Brave" singer shared photos from a trip to see the Northern Lights via Instagram, and the caption revealed she struggled with depression and anxiety throughout 2021. "It has been a very low year for me with regard to my mental health, and I am also grateful that part of the reason I can touch my joy again is I finally got the help of some medication," she shared in the New Year's post. The Grammy winner continued, "It's been a journey to try and pull up, and I found this year I needed more help. It is helping. I am relieved and feel more like myself- and I will find my way again and now it feels possible. If you're struggling- I see you, and I hope you remember you're not stuck as long as you're willing to change the view. Begin Again." S Meddle/ITV/Shutterstock
Machine Gun Kelly
The “Papercuts” singer got candid with Drew Barrymore during a December 2021 episode of her talk show, in which he admitted he struggled with being vulnerable outside of his music. “I see a lot of pictures of me and there's, like, smiles on them," he said. "It's just weird, though, because I didn't feel good at all that day and I kind of am sick of smiling on days when I don't feel like smiling. And I feel like this odd pressure because I don't want, like, my fans to think that I'm taking something for granted." The Dirt actor continued, "So if, like, I accept an award and I'm like, super smiley but behind the scenes … there was, like, stuff going on, or I didn't feel, I don't know, like, a lot of what I do is for other people and I haven't given myself the time to just accept that it's OK to not be OK." Chase Stokes
The Outer Banks actor was was honored by Glenn Close and her Bring Change to Mind organization for his support of mental health awareness, and he opened up about struggling during his teen years. "I remember being 15 and having my first anxiety attack and not knowing how to process it and not knowing where it came from, and wishing I had an outlet to figure out how to understand those things," he said during his speech via E! Online. "This is not for me. This is for the 15-year-old Chase, who didn't know his place in society. And was not sure who he was." Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Will Poulter
The Dopesick star told E! News in November 2021 that he "really struggled" with his mental health throughout the coronavirus pandemic, thanking his Hulu family for being "very empathetic" as he worked through his ups and downs. "I'm very grateful to them for that," he added. JM Enternational/Shutterstock
Bella Hadid
The model took to Instagram in November 2021 to share a clip of Willow Smith discussing feeling "lost" and "confused" alongside several photos of herself crying. She urged followers to take care of their mental health. "Social media is not real. For anyone struggling, please remember that," she wrote in a lengthy caption at the time. "Sometimes all you’ve gotta hear is that you’re not alone. So from me to you, you’re not alone. I love you, I see you, and I hear you. Self help and mental illness/chemical imbalance is not linear and it is almost like a flowing rollercoaster of obstacles … there is always light at the end of the tunnel." She hinted at her own struggles with depression and anxiety, adding, "It took me a long time to get that in my mind, but I’ve had enough breakdowns and burnouts to know this: if you work hard enough on yourself, spending time alone to understand your traumas, triggers, joys, and routine, you will always be able to understand or learn more about your own pain and how to handle it. Which is all that you can ask of yourself. Anyways. Not sure why but it feels harder and harder to not share my truth on here. Thank you for seeing me and thank you for listening." Kirsten Dunst
The Fargo star recalled hitting a wall with her depression during her 20s. The “anger” led to Dunst entering a rehab facility and ultimately starting medication.  “I feel like most people around 27, the s--t hits the fan. Whatever is working in your brain, you can't live like that anymore mentally. I feel like I was angry,” she told The Sunday Times in November 2021. “All I'll say is that medication is a great thing and can really help you come out of something. I was afraid to take something and so I sat in it for too long.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Megan Thee Stallion
The rapper reflected on losing her mother in March 2019 after a battle with brain cancer. “I’ve lost both of my parents,” she said on Peace of Mind With Taraji in October 2021, also referring to her father’s death when she was a teenager. “Now I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, who do I talk to? What do I do?’ I just started learning that it’s OK to ask for help. It’s OK to want to go get therapy.” She continued: “As a Black person, and when you think of therapy, you think of, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m weak,’ you think of medication, and you just think the worst. That’s kind of what you see on TV too; like, therapy wasn’t even presented in the media as something that was good. Now it’s becoming safe to say, ‘All right now, there’s a little too much going on. Somebody help me.’” Michele Eve Sandberg/Shutterstock
JoJo
Although the singer works hard to stay on top of her mental health, she admitted that returning to antidepressants initially wasn't her first choice. "I've just been trying to deal day by day. To be honest with you, one of the things that I did — I judged myself a little bit for this, but I got back on antidepressants," JoJo detailed in an interview with Very Well Mind in September 2021. "I wanted to believe that I could clean up my diet, and get out in the sun, and write in my journal, and meditate and do yoga and just be okay. But I needed a little lift." Looking back on it now, the performer doesn't feel bad about needing "a little help." "I'm not ashamed that I did that. It was an important turning point for me," she added.  ETIENNE LAURENT/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock
Olivia Rodrigo
The “Driver’s License” crooner opened up about prioritizing her mental health amid fame during an interview with Vogue Singapore, published in September 2021. “I’m taking [fame] one step at a time,” the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star told the magazine. “It can be really tough on your mental health, though. I’m grateful for the people who like me for me, and keep me separated from all the noise and tabloids or what people are saying about me on social media. That’s always been a top priority. It’s funny how recognition changes everything and also changes nothing in your life. The problems I was having a year ago are still the problems I’m having now, and things that brought me joy a year ago are still the things that bring me joy now. It’s just another aspect of life that you need to learn how to deal with, but it doesn’t change who you are as a person." Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Candace Cameron Bure
The Full House alum opened up about how she handles her depression in September 2021. She said in addition to the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, being a working mom and traveling actress can mess with her emotions. “Really another big part why fitness is important for me is it’s so beneficial to my mental health,” Cameron Bure explained in an interview with The Salvation Army. “I not only juggle my family but also work in a lot of different capacities. It can get really difficult. The travel can get strenuous as well. I need to keep my mental health clear. Just sweating that out and all those endorphins really help me a lot. I notice a huge difference when I don’t exercise, how much it can affect me mentally and kind of deal with depression.” Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Owen Wilson
In a rare interview, Wilson opened up about how struggles from his childhood went unaddressed. “As a kid, there’s a lot of things that you think about. Death — that kind of landed with me when I was about 11,” the actor explained to Esquire in August 2021. “And I don’t remember ever talking with my parents about it.” Wilson, who attempted suicide in August 2007, said that he tried to speak with his parents at the time. “Although I do remember one time saying to my dad — and I remember exactly where in the house — saying, ‘I worry about dying,’ and seeing my dad turn away and catch himself," he recalled. "And I was surprised to see that reaction. But who knows, maybe that was part of why I said it.” Since then, Wilson shared that he’s in a “lucky place” when it comes to his mental health, "feeling pretty appreciative" now. "I know everything’s kind of up and down, but when you get on one of these waves, you’ve gotta ride it as long as you can,” he noted at the time. “I’ve just felt — yeah. Feeling pretty grateful. Well, grateful’s one of those words that get used all the time. Appreciative. Of, you know, stuff.” Action Press/Shutterstock
Lil Wayne
"When I was told that I couldn't have what I wanted, what I dream of, what I desired, and that was to rap. I was willing to die for it," the Grammy winner recalled during an episode of "Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man" in August 2021, going into detail about attempting suicide when he was 12. "[I] aimed for my heart. How I knew I had mental health problems was I pulled the trigger." Police arrived at the scene, and although the musician was badly injured, he survived. "There is no bar to measure how real. [Mental health is] real," he said. "It's so real that if someone even has the guts, the heart, the bravery, whatever to at least admit that they have something going on up there that they're not sure about, it's so real that we should only react in the realest way possible." Oliver Hudson
In August 2021, Hudson shared a throwback photo of himself with a powerful caption. "Listen kid.. you’re [sic] future’s gonna be good but you’re gonna have to go on antidepressants," he wrote. "Shouldn’t be much of a surprise with that stupid face you’re making.. anyway, good look." Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Bella Hadid
The model admitted that she struggles with "insane social anxiety" that only got worse when she became a public figure. "Partying is not my thing, but I felt enormous pressure to project that image because I assumed that's all people wanted from me," Hadid told Vogue in August 2021. "Now I don't want to live in that box. I definitely feel like I'm allowed to speak." Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock

“I’ve struggled with anxiety and social anxiety my whole life. I’ve masked it many times and this year has been heavy for all of us,” the stylist wrote via Instagram in August 2021. “Know there is hope. I’ve found it through sobriety and therapy. My life is happy again. I wish this for you all. Thank you for your love this year.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Kit Harington
In August 2021, the British actor opened up about how his 2019 stay in rehab was beneficial for his mental health as well as his physical health. “I went through some mental health difficulties after [Game of] Thrones — and during the end of Thrones, to be honest — and I think it was directly to do with the nature of the show and what I’ve been doing for years,” he said during an interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show. “I think I took a sort of break after Thrones where I said, ‘I don’t want to work for a year. I want to really kind of concentrate on myself.' I’m really happy I did that.” Later that month, he detailed his "traumatic" struggles in an interview with the Sunday Times, sharing that some of his troubles included alcohol. “You get to a place where you feel like you are a bad person, you feel like you are a shameful person. And you feel that there’s no way out, that’s just who you are. And getting sober is the process of going, ‘No, I can change,'" he said of his state of mind before going to rehab in 2019, admitting that he experienced suicidal thoughts. "I will give you an answer to that question: the answer is yes. Yes of course. I went through periods of real depression where I wanted to do all sorts of things. ... I definitely don’t want to be seen as a martyr or special. I’ve been through something, it’s my stuff. If it helps someone, that’s good." KCS Presse/MEGA
Willow Smith
Smith’s May 2021 performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon triggered memories of an anxiety attack she had before a live performance of “Whip My Hair” when she was younger. "I was doing the Jimmy Fallon performance and I had a flashback of being, like, 10 or 9 and, like, having an anxiety attack on set,” Smith explained on a July 2021 episode of “The Yungblud Podcast” for BBC Sounds. “And basically feeling like everyone around me was just, 'You're just a brat… Why aren't you grateful? You're having an anxiety attack,' but they didn't see it as an anxiety attack. They saw it like a tantrum.” The “Transparent Soul” singer explained that she needed to “take time” to process those feelings after reliving the attack. "I need to go into a little meditation," the “Transparent Soul” singer said. "I need to separate myself from the situation a little bit and kind of tell myself, 'You're not 9. You're a grown ass woman.' … And so I have to retrain my mind. So, my mental health is in a very fragile state, but I think it's a state where it's about to grow in a really awesome way.” Janet Mayer/Startraksphoto.com
Olivia Munn
The Newsroom alum had a powerful conversation about depression and overcoming suicidal thoughts during a July 2021 appearance on The Demi Lovato Show. "For people who deal with depression, like you and me, and who can have suicidal thoughts, anytime you get to that place and it seems like things are too tough and you just can't take it anymore, just ask yourself if you can hold on another day," Munn told Lovato. The Oklahoma native noted that if someone takes their own life then it’s “game over” and you’ll never see what could happen in the future. "The pain is really tough. I know, you know. We've been there,” she continued. “But if I had ended my life when I wanted to, there is so much I would have missed. And that's what's worth staying for.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Simone Biles
The gymnastics champion withdrew from both the team and all-around finals during the Tokyo Olympics in July 2021. “After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in order to focus on her mental health,” USA Gymnastics said in a statement at the time. “Simone will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether or not to participate in next week’s individual event finals.” After her exit, Team USA went on to earn the silver medal during the team finals, which Biles claimed they might not have earned had she not withdrawn from the competition. “After that vault, I was like: ‘I’m not in the right headspace, I’m not going to lose a medal for this country and for these girls’ because they worked way too hard for me to go out there and have them lose a medal,” the Dancing With the Stars alum said in a press conference at the time. Holly Madison
The model opened up about her body dysmorphia struggles while she lived at the Playboy Mansion in a candid July 2021 TikTok video. "So for a recent post, I was looking for pictures of myself in a bunny costume and I came across one. It reminded me of a moment in my life where I was watching a playback of myself in a fashion show and I thought, 'Oh, my God, I need to lose weight,'" Madison explained in the video, alongside a photo of her from 2005. "[I] thought I had gained weight, and thought I hadn't stuck to my diet, and I thought my thighs were huge and I thought, 'I need to lose five pounds at least,’ and that's ridiculous. I look like a stick." In the video, Madison hoped by sharing her story that others can realize the “off the charts” effects of body dysmorphia. “It's not worth it,” she continued. “It’s not worth feeling bad about yourself. Like, there are things we all want to improve about ourselves, but it's not even worth taking the time to be miserable.” Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Naomi Osaka
The tennis star opened up for the first time in July 2021 after mental health issues caused her to drop out of the French Open two months prior. In an essay published by Time, she wrote that she “felt pressure” to disclose her symptoms at the time and worried that people “did not believe [her].” Osaka also mentioned that she thinks every athlete deserves "the right to take a mental break from media scrutiny on a rare occasion without being subject to strict sanctions." After saying she wouldn’t do press for the French Open in May 2021, she received a $15,000 fine. "In any other line of work, you would be forgiven for taking a personal day here and there, so long as it's not habitual. You wouldn't have to divulge your most personal symptoms to your employer; there would likely be HR measures protecting at least some level of privacy," she wrote. "I feel uncomfortable being the spokesperson or face of athlete mental health as it’s still so new to me and I don’t have all the answers. I do hope that people can relate and understand it’s OK to not be OK, and it’s OK to talk about it. There are people who can help, and there is usually light at the end of any tunnel." Ben Higgins
"I am back in Indiana right now because of a breakdown, again, in my life where I don't know what's happening," the season 20 Bachelor admitted to Trista Sutter during a July 2021 episode of her "Better Etc." podcast. "I don't know what this next season of life looks like for me. I'm farther and farther removed from the show, and at the same time, I need to figure out what my life is going to look like and what my legacy is going to be." The reality star explained that fame altered his mental health over time, but that he was looking forward to a new chapter in his life even if it came with fear. "It's also really hard," he said. "I'm at a low place, I don't see myself as this thriving figure right now. I'm kind of lamenting and separating myself from a lot of things that I held close." ABC/Craig Sjodin
Annie Murphy
The Kevin Can F--k Himself star opened up to The Zoe Report in June 2021 about her struggle with depression. At the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Annie Murphy flew home to Canada right as lockdown orders were set in place. She revealed, “My mom was like, ‘You're crying 12 times a day hysterically, to the point where your teeth are chattering. That's not normal.’” From there, she met with a therapist who diagnosed her with depression. “I was like, ‘Damn it, I'm depressed.” With the help of regular therapy and antidepressants, the Emmy Award winner revealed she doesn’t cry every day and can focus on other things in her life. She added, “You don't have to be on drugs for the whole time, but they truly, truly saved my life in the sense that I was not a functional human being and I was able to be a functional human being.” Nina Westervelt/Shutterstock
T-Pain
The "Buy U a Drank" rapper revealed in June 2021 that some harsh criticism from Usher caused his mental health to take a negative turn. "Usher was my friend," the Florida native recalled of the 2013 conversation during Netflix's This Is Pop. "I really respect Usher. And he said, 'I'm gonna tell you something, man. You kinda f--ked up music.' ... I chuckled a little bit, it was a nervous chuckle. I didn't understand, you know?" The comment left a big impression on T-Pain. "That is the very moment, and I don't even think I realized this for a long time," he shared. "But that's the very moment that started a four-year depression for me." Lana Condor
The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star got real about her battle with anxiety in June 2021. “Some days my anxiety really gets me and I need to lay in bed & be alone until the trembling stops. And that is absolutely OK!” she tweeted at the time. “I charge [very] introverted so that I can expel extroverted energy at my job. And that’s also OK. Take care of yourself and please be kind to yourself.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Ryan Reynolds
The Deadpool star opened up about his ongoing battle with anxiety as a part of Mental Health Awareness month in May 2021. “One of the reasons I’m posting this so late is I over schedule myself and important things slip. And one of the reasons I over schedule myself is my lifelong pal, anxiety,” Reynolds wrote via Instagram just days before the month ended. “I know I’m not alone and more important, to all those like me who over schedule, overthink, overwork, over-worry and over-everything, please know you’re not alone.” The Proposal actor concluded: “We don’t talk enough about mental health and don’t do enough to destigmatize talking about it. But, as with this post, better late than never, I hope …” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Goldie Hawn
In a May 2021 interview with Good Morning Britain, the Oscar winner spoke about struggling with depression when she was in her early 20s. "I was 21 and I was rising to success," she recalled. "I know it sounds terrible, but it's a very, very difficult thing — I didn't necessarily want that. Now in doing so, I was very depressed. And I had a lot of these issues where I couldn't even go outside in public. This is something I worked through. I went to a doctor. I went to a psychologist." The Private Benjamin star added that she hadn't really planned to become famous — she originally moved to Hollywood to become a dancer — and was surprised when she became a household name. "Unfortunately, I didn't want to be a big deal," she shared. "I wanted to go home." Dave Allocca/Starpix/Shutterstock
Dan Levy
The Schitt's Creek cocreator and star opened up about his lifelong battle with anxiety during a December 2020 interview with Bustle, revealing that his mental health struggles came with a few physical side effects. "I think that came from a deep-rooted fear of knowing that I was gay and not being able to be free," Levy said at the time. "By the time I got to high school, when your brain is starting to catch up to your physical impulses, it led to a very confusing time. Because on the one hand, you are now being introduced to things like self-awareness and anxiety. At the same time, you’re becoming more and more savvy when it comes to hiding it."   While social situations caused a serious amount of stress, Levy found an escape in school plays. "I was starting to develop a sense of confidence by way of being able to entertain people," he explained. "It was like a decoy version of myself that I was putting out there to not have to live with the reality that when the bullying was happening ... they were speaking the truth." Hannah Brown
The Bachelorette alum posted three photos showing her dancing as she marked World Mental Health Day in October 2020. The former beauty queen recalled the time she went to see a doctor before going into her junior year of college, when the physician asked her a simple question: "Are you happy, Hannah?" "I will never forget that seemingly simple question that came with a heavy answer," she wrote. "I'm the girl that is always wearing a smile! How dare he ask?! But oh, thank God he did." "'No…. I'm not. I don't even remember the last time I felt happy. And I don't know why. I have reason to be happy, but I just can't really feel it,' I said through broken words passing through the lumps of emotions that had felt indefinitely lodged in my throat," the Dancing With the Stars champ admitted. "I couldn't keep up the act anymore. For years, I silently struggled internally as I was externally championed as the one who always seemed happy. I honestly think that day in the doctor's office was the first time someone asked me if I was indeed, happy." "Admitting I wasn't okay, and acknowledging my silent, hostage struggle with anxiety and depression through my crocodile tears was a pivotal day for me," she continued. "I have made big leaps of progress in healing and understanding 'its okay not to be okay', with important tools and support to help manage the thoughts and feelings that take over and store within me. But several times in my progress, I have had setbacks; many being the overflow of not observing, in private, the gradual buildup of the hurtful, impactful emotions which consequently spewed into some, more public, relapses of destructive behavior. " Brown added that it's important to remember that "progress in mental health is a journey with hills and valleys. Our whole world has been through a valley of fear and hurt this year. Be gentle with yourself. Be humble during the process. You aren't going to always get it right and you will make mistakes, but you—just as you are, are enough. You matter. Ask for help. You are worthy of being able to answer the 'are you happy?' question and to say yes, regardless of the circumstances that would usually take your mind and soul captive. You got this. We've got this. You aren't alone." Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Aly Raisman
The Olympic gold medalist spoke out publicly for the first time in October 2020 about her struggles with OCD during an episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast. "I always thought OCD was I have to touch this x amount of times or I have to do this x amount of times before I leave the room, but I've also learned that OCD is classified with ruminating thoughts or obsessive thoughts or catastrophic thinking," she explained to host Dax Shepard. "I have that and I'm really trying to work on that right now because sometimes our minds go to our worst-case scenario. " The gymnast revealed that it’s not as easy as simply telling yourself to have a positive mindset. "I feel like for people who don't understand it, they're like, ‘Just don't think about it.' It does not work like that!" she said. "It's so hard because I've been trying to really educate myself on how our minds work just so I can help myself but also just so I can better talk about it and better understand it on a personal level with my family or my friends but also on a public level as well." The Fierce author has continually tried to educate herself on OCD and chose to discuss her personal struggles in hopes of helping others who suffer from the same thing. "So much of the time, our minds don't really realize what's made up and what's real and that's what I struggle with so much is that fight or flight response where it can be something so small and my body is reacting as if a tiger is trying to eat me," she explained. "In my opinion, it relates to trauma and PTSD. Unless you're getting to the root of the problem of why you are not feeling safe or out of control, you're going to keep having OCD and it's going to manifest into other ways of your life." Noah Cyrus
Cyrus celebrated the two-year anniversary of her first EP, “Good Cry” in September 2020, and revealed all of the ups and downs she’s experienced since its release. “I’ve been through so much since then. Putting this ep out and going on tour during one of the most depressive times in my life was so hard,” the musician explained via Instagram. “Every day felt like lifting 100lb weights just to get out of bed. The ache in my chest from the pain felt unbearable. At 18 I didn’t think I was going to be here for a 20th birthday soon to be 21. They felt 1000 years away.” The “Again” singer revealed that she was “so sad, so hurt and so scared” during that time before thanking those who were by her side “during all of my progression and the times where I felt like I was regressing.” Cyrus continued: “Every day is work when it comes to your mental health and personal battles. Not every day is going to be hell and not every day is going to be perfect. I’m still figuring that out. Thank you Cyrens for being patient.”  The “July” artist thanked her fans for “understanding” how “hard” it was for Cyrus to grow up in the public eye, before going into more detail about how important the EP is to her. “I always have written nothing but the truth and this ep was exactly that. I still stand with needing a good f--kin cry every once in awhile. I know that pain is something we HAVE to feel and experience,” she continued. “I owe this album so much. It tought [sic] me so much about myself... and looking back at myself then to show I am now I just want to run back in time and give that Noah a huge ass hug.. as she was breaking ever so slowly. I’m so happy that I was able to create something that everyone relates to... I turned the pain into something beautiful that others can sing, cry, or smile to and nothing makes me feel more purposeful than that. I love you all thank you so much for everything.” Steve Meddle/Shutterstock
Millie Bobby Brown
The Emmy nominee opened up about her struggle with anxiety during a candid interview with Glamour UK in August 2020, noting that staying creative helps change her mood. "When I'm having a bad day or I’m feeling very anxious, some things like when people say, 'Oh, you looked bad at this award show because you looked like this or you looked like that,' those things make me a little bit more anxious and that hinders me a little bit more," she said. "I have learned to manage it in ways that a lot of people learn to manage things like breathing exercises or distracting your mind and my hobbies help distract me from being anxious. ... I have to give myself love because that’s important. Everyone has to empower themselves." David Fisher/Shutterstock
Katy Perry
The “Roar” singer revealed during an August 2020 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that during her 30s she hit a wall when she was no longer able to fix her bouts of depression by writing songs about her pain. "I broke up with my boyfriend. My expectations weren't met and the world didn't want to hear from me anymore at that moment," she said looking back at the years in her life that “everything changed” for her. "They were like, 'That's enough. Thank you very much. You've given us something and we're good.' And I just couldn't get out of bed for weeks and became clinically depressed and had to get on medication for the first time in my life." Perry explained that once she was on medication she was “so ashamed of it. I was like, 'I'm Katy Perry. I wrote 'Firework.' I'm on medication. This is f---ed up.'" The singer’s upcoming Smile album gave her the professional and personal comeback she needed. "The last two-and-a-half years have been a psychological, spiritual, emotional journey of just pulling the petrified poison out of my body and rewiring my neural pathways and that negative thought ticker that keeps coming says, 'You're just lucky. You're just cute. You're not really good. You're not very talented. You're lucky. You're just lucky,' or, 'You're not worth it. You're not good enough. You're getting old. You're fat,' all that s--t," she recalled. "I figured out how to quiet it the f---k down.” imageSPACE/Shutterstock
Tallulah Willis
In July 2020, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis shared her battle with depression and suicidal thoughts. “A lethal combination of untreated severe chemical imbalance/depression, harmful coping mechanisms and certain debilitating traumas has me questioning if I wanted to continue this life,” she wrote via Instagram. “To have suicidal ideation to me, is to feel there is an unpredictable and unstoppable threat living within your body. In far too often moments, I felt the pain was too overwhelming to keep going. I begged to be saved from my own mind. I am unfathomably lucky that by some unseen force I did not take action on these thoughts.” Tallulah urged those who are “hurting or questioning harming themselves” to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. Paris Jackson
After moving in with her grandmother after her dad's death in 2009, the model/musician turned down a dark path. "I gained a lot of weight and food became an addiction," Jackson revealed during an episode of her Unfiltered: Paris Jackson & Gabriel Glenn series in June 2020. "And then a cousin called me fat and I was like, 'OK, I can't do that anymore.' And that's how I fell into self-harm." Jackson explained that she would physical hurt herself as a "distraction from emotional pain" and that she tried to take her own life "many times." While she continues to take "baby steps" on her journey to self-love, she admitted that she wants to be an advocate for "self-acceptance and courage and being comfortable in your own skin." Brie Larson
The Oscar winner shared in July 2020 that she suffered from anxiety. “For me, my baseline has been I’m an introvert with asthma. Like, that’s been my story for myself. I’m introverted, I’m scared, I have social anxiety,” she explained in a YouTube video on her channel. “And through, in particular, playing Captain Marvel, that like kind of wiped clean those titles I had for myself and made me go, ‘Whoa, I’m not really that anymore.’” Shutterstock
Kelly Clarkson
“I suffer from depression,” the American Idol alum told Demi Lovato on The Kelly Clarkson Show in June 2020 in the midst of her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. “I think a lot of people, especially in the creative world, or just from childhood, you’ve been kind of trained to, like, just keep going and you can handle it. Especially as a woman, it’s like, ‘Don’t let ‘em see you sweat.’ ... I think that’s a daily thing that you work at and a daily thing that I work at.” YouTube
Selena Gomez
The “Rare” singer has been vocal about her struggles with depression and her mental health in the past, but she revealed in April 2020 that she has bipolar disorder. “Recently, I went to one of the best mental hospitals in the world … And I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things I realized that I was bipolar,” Gomez admitted on Bright Minded: Live With Miley. “When I have more information, it actually helps me, it doesn’t scare me once I know it … When I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it and it took the fear away.”  The Disney Channel alum added, “When I was younger, I was scared of thunderstorms and my mom bought me all these books on thunderstorms and she was like, ‘The more you educate yourself on this, the more that you’re not going to be afraid.’ It completely worked. That’s something that helps me big time.” Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Taraji P. Henson
“I suffer from depression,” the Empire star said in an April 2019 interview with Variety. “My anxiety is kicking up even more every day, and I’ve never really dealt with anxiety like that. It’s something new.” Henson also revealed that she talks to a therapist regularly: “Their job is to make sure you’re mentally sound, whatever that is, and telling you the truth, which might hurt. Sometimes your friends don’t want to hurt your feelings. If I’m going to change for the better, I need honesty, and sometimes your friends and family don’t have it in them to be brutally honest.” In a December 2019 interview with SELF, Henson elaborated on the telltale signs that she needed help: “I noticed the mood swings — like, one day I’d be up, and the next day I’d be down, feeling like I don’t want to go out in public. Almost agoraphobic, like, ‘Ugh, too much to deal with.’ Feeling really awkward in my skin, feeling out of sorts, and just down, like Debbie Downer, like a dark cloud. And then there would be days where my brain wouldn’t stop racing. I would think of the worst scenarios in the world, which would heighten my anxiety.” Michael Loccisano/Getty Images
Kaitlyn Bristowe
The former Bachelorette star opened up on her “Off the Vine” podcast in November 2019 about how she often suffers from debilitating anxiety and revealed that her dog has helped her cope. “[My anxiety] left me laying on the floor this one night in my house, not wanting to even talk to Jason until it passed,” she said, referencing her boyfriend Jason Tartick. “I felt my anxiety coming on — immediately went looking for my dog, Ramen, who is really the only one that keeps me calm when I experience being close to a panic attack and when I feel that pain or heat in my chest.” imageSPACE/Shutterstock
Kristen Bell
During a revealing interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist in November 2019, the Frozen 2 star opened up about feeling "incredibly irresponsible" for not being more honest about her mental health struggles in the past. “Everyone thinks there’s some shame in it ... I am someone who takes a medication for her anxiety and depression. I am someone who has to check myself and sometimes — if I’m feeling really low — make a checklist of good and bad things in my life to see if it’s my mental state or if we really have a problem. And me talking about that actually came from [my husband, Dax Shepard] — ugh, I hate to give him credit for everything, it’s so annoying that he’s so right about everything.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Tia Mowry
“I didn’t want to admit it,” the actress told Romper of her postpartum depression in November 2019. “It was that shame.” But after she opened up to her sister, husband and friends, they became her “support system.” She explained, “When I was sad or going through my emotions, I would talk about it. I didn’t suppress them. I think that helped.” Media Punch/INSTARimages.com
Shia LaBeouf
Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast in October 2019, the actor opened up about how his years as a Disney Channel star contributed to his mental health issues. “It was the first time I’d been told I had PSTD,” he said, recalling his experience in rehab after his 2017 arrest. “I just thought I was an alcoholic, like, a true-blue drunk and I needed to deal with that. I knew it was an issue but didn’t know there was this extra whole other thing that was hindering my ability to have any peace in my life and my ability to deal with people.” imageSPACE for the Mill Valley Film Festival/Shutterstock

“Sadly, I separated from my lovely first husband [Tony Walton]. And separations were always inevitable and the marriage was over and my head was so full of clutter and garbage. Believe it or not, it was [director] Mike Nichols who really tipped me into wanting to go to therapy,” the Sound of Music star recalled on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in October 2019. “He had been, and he was, so sane and funny and clear. He had a clarity that I admired so much. I wanted that for myself. And I didn’t feel I had it, so I went and got into it, and it saved my life, in a way.” Jim Smeal/Shutterstock

“I deleted this post earlier, because honestly I’m personally struggling with my mental health right now, and the words I wrote fell flat when I read them,” the Bachelor alum captioned an October 2019 Instagram post. “How could I say these things to others when I didn’t/don’t believe them about myself? I deleted the post, walked to the room down the hall, opened the door, and told Tanner, ‘I’m not OK.’ Lean on those you love, ask for help. You are not a burden.” Roper went on to tell Us exclusively, “As much as there is so much joy [in motherhood], there’s so much extra that’s sometimes overwhelming. Talk to your loved ones. Let them know what you’re going through because there is help and there is hope.” Courtesy of Jade Roper/Instagram
Jonathan Van Ness
The Queer Eye star opened up about his mental health struggles in his memoir, Over the Top. The hairstylist, who came out as HIV positive in his book, told The New York Times in September 2019 that he suffered from “compounded trauma.” The next month, he exclusively told Us Weekly that he’s an advocate for therapy and has a “great therapist.” He also shared that, sometimes, saying no to socializing can positively impact mental health. The grooming guru said: “I think learning to like your own company and making time to be quiet and spend time with yourself, even if that’s like a morning here or a night there, just having that time to be quiet with yourself, I think is really important.” Janet Mayer/Startraksphoto.com
Alanis Morissette
Two months after her son Winter’s August 2019 birth, the Grammy winner opened up about her third experience with postpartum depression. “PPD is still a sneaky monkey with a machete working its way through my psyche and body and days and thoughts and bloodwork levels,” Morissette wrote in a blog post. "[I've] been here before. ... The other side is greater than my PPD-riddled-temporarily-adjusted-brain could have ever imagined: as a mom, as an artist, as a wife, as a friend, as a collaborator, as a leader, as a boss, as an activist. I saw how things got richer after I came through it the last two times. I have my eye on that prize again even as I drag my ass through the molasses.” Courtesy of Alanis Morissette/Instagram
Lake Bell
After her son Ozgood's traumatic home birth in 2017, the actress was prescribed a low does of Zoloft to battle her depression. “It took me to a place where I could be. I could just be,” the Bless This Mess star said on "The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet" podcast in September 2019. “It was rational. I needed to just be Lake and I felt, finally like, I could breathe the air that Lake breaths, not like some other person that I don’t recognize.” Shutterstock
Delilah Belle Hamlin
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed to fans in an Instagram Story in June 2019 that she's been to rehab twice for depression. “I started attracting negative people into my life because my thoughts were so negative,” she wrote in the post. “I got trapped in a severely unhealthy relationship that pushed me over the edge. I couldn’t get out of the relationship because I thought I was deserving of it.” After asking mom Lisa Rinna for help, Hamlin said that she was able to get the care she needed at a facility: “I worked through traumas, and self love [sic],” she recalled. “But most importantly I learned what self respect [sic] meant.” Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic
James Middleton
Duchess Kate and Pippa Middleton’s younger brother, James, opened up about his depression to Tatler magazine in June 2019, explaining that his struggles were in part due to pressures to live up to his famous siblings. "Suddenly, and very publicly, I was being judged about whether I was a success or a failure,” he said. The entrepreneur, who had previously discussed his struggles with the Daily Mail in January, added of his depression, “It’s what keeps you in bed, while anxiety makes you feel guilty for being there. I thought, ‘What do I have to be depressed about?’ I’ve been so lucky with my upbringing, I had all the things I wanted. It’s not that I wanted more, but there was something that wasn’t always there ... And the more I ignored it, the more it was taking over.’” James said that after undergoing therapy and stepping back from his position at his company Boomf to spend time on brother-in-law James Matthews’ Scottish estate in Glen Affric, he is doing better: “I am happy – I feel like James Middleton again. I feel like I was when I was 13, excited about life. I feel like myself again and I couldn’t ask for more." Sebastian Reuter/Getty Images for GQ Germany
Halsey
In a July 2019 cover story in Rolling Stone, the “Without Me” singer, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, confessed that she’s been committed twice since taking on her alter ego of Halsey. “It’s been my choice,” she told the magazine. “I’ve said to [my manager], ‘Hey, I’m not going to do anything bad right now, but I’m getting to the point where I’m scared that I might, so I need to go figure this out.’ It’s still happening in my body. I just know when to get in front of it.” Halsey also revealed that her next album is the first one she’s ever written while experiencing mania due to her bipolar disorder, which she was diagnosed with at the age of 17. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star spoke candidly about her struggle with depression in a series of Instagram Stories in June 2019. "I don’t think that it’s a joking matter. It hurts me in my everyday life. And when people judge me, it even hurts me more," she said. “So those of you who want to achieve causing others pain, you’re succeeding when it comes to me. I started therapy. I got a good therapist. I was blessed enough to talk to some super spiritual people and they made me realize one thing that I was missing in my life. Celebrity Deaths in 2022: Stars We’ve Lost

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 04:21 PM PDT

Always in our hearts. Hollywood mourned the loss of icons such as Betty White and John Madden in the final days of 2021 — and unfortunately, 2022 also came with celebrity deaths that have fans reeling.

The sports world lost a football great in Dan Reeves who passed away on January 1. The 77-year-old Georgia native appeared in nine Super Bowls during his career — winning once as a player and once as an assistant coach.

As one of the winningest coaches in the league's history, his loss was felt near and far. "The football world lost a heckuva coach and man today in Dan Reeves," former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway said in a statement on January 1. "Dan was a winner and I owe a lot to him. My heart goes out to Pam and the entire Reeves family."

One day later, the Christian music industry lost a beloved musician Jay Weaver. His former Big Daddy Weave bandmate and brother, Mike Weaver, confirmed his passing following COVID-19 complications. Jay was 42.

"Thank you so much for all your prayers for my brother," Mike said in a statement on January 2, after Jay was hospitalized with the virus a few days prior. "You have walked with him through a huge fight, and I'm so sorry to bring this news but I'm also excited to celebrate where he is right now. My brother Jay went to be with Jesus just a couple hours ago due to complications due to COVID-19 on top of everything else that he already had going on."

He continued: “The Lord used [Jay] in such a might way out on the road for so many years … I believe even though COVID may have taken his last breath, Jesus was right there to catch him. My heart’s broke for my family, but we all just really wanted to thank you for walking with us through so much for so long.”

On January 5, the Korean film world mourned the death of a young star in Kim Mi-soo, who passed away at age 29.

"Kim suddenly left us on January 5," the late performer's agency, Landscape Entertainment, said in a statement translated by the publication Korea JoongAng Daily. "The bereaved are deep in their sorrow at the sudden sadness. Please refrain from reporting false rumors or speculation so that the family can mourn in peace."

Alec Baldwin’s ‘Rust’ Production Company Fined Over Fatal Shooting

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 02:45 PM PDT

While filming his movie Rust on Thursday, October 21, Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun that injured the director and killed another crew member.

The incident occurred at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department, the weapon was “discharged” by the 30 Rock alum, 63, and Deadline later reported that production on the Western was paused.

“Mr. Baldwin came in voluntarily to speak with investigators,” sheriff’s office spokesman Juan Ríos noted in a statement, asserting that the situation would be treated like “any other investigation.”

Detectives were trying to determine “what type of projectile was discharged” as the set remained on lockdown. The victims — director Joel Souza and director of photography Halyna Hutchins — were rushed to receive medical attention after being struck. Hutchins, 42, was pronounced dead at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.

The 48-year-old filmmaker, for his part, was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center via helicopter. While his condition was initially unknown, Deadline was told by Souza’s rep that he was released from the hospital on Friday, October 22.

The movie’s production company, Rust Movie Productions LLC, noted in a statement regarding the accident, “The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today’s tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna’s family and loved ones. We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department’s investigation. We will be providing counseling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event.”

Hutchins was originally from the Ukraine and had been sharing updates about the filming process with her Instagram followers ahead of her death. “One of the perks of shooting a western is you get to ride horses on your day off:),” she captioned a video of herself on Wednesday, October 20, as she joined a group on horseback.

The Emmy winner broke his silence on Hutchins’ death on Friday via Twitter, writing, “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”

Before Baldwin addressed the incident, tributes poured in for the late cinematographer.

“I’m in shock. I was so lucky to have had Halyna Hutchins as my DP on ‘Archenemy,'” Joe Manganiello tweeted. “An incredible talent & great person. I can't believe this could happen in this day and age… gunfire from a prop gun could kill a crew member? What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to her family.”

Ava DuVernay left a comment on casting director Sidra Smith‘s Instagram post about Hutchins, writing, “Devastating. Absolutely horrific. Blessings to you during this difficult time, Sidra. And may her soul be at rest.”

Who Is Halyna Hutchins?
Hutchins was working as director of photography on Rust and was named one of American Cinematography's "rising stars" in the profession in 2019. She previously contributed to 2019's Darlin' and 2020's Blindfire, as well as AMC's The Walking Dead. She was pronounced dead on Thursday at University of New Mexico Hospital. Who Is Joel Souza?
Souza is a California-based writer and director whose previous credits include 2015's Ghost Squad, 2017's Break Night and 2019's Crown Vic. According to Deadline, he was released from the hospital early Friday morning after sustaining injuries on set. Ron Adar/SOPA Images/Shutterstock
Were There Charges?
As of Thursday, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office was in the midst of an "open and active" investigation, but no arrests were made. Baldwin was questioned by investigators — as were other members of the crew — but no charges were filed. Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock
How Did Two People Get Shot?
Only one round was discharged, and it grazed Souza but hit Hutchins in her shoulder, per The Los Angeles Times. Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
Why Was the Gun Loaded?
That is the question investigators are still trying to answer. The assistant director called out “cold gun” when handing Baldwin the weapon, the AD wrote in an affidavit, according to the New York Times. “Cold” means no ammunition is in the gun. The crew member “did not know live rounds were in the prop gun,” Detective Joel Cano declared in an affidavit. Jae C Hong/AP/Shutterstock
Why Did Crew Members Walk Off Set Earlier That Day?
The LA Times reports that several crew members walked off set to protest working conditions hours ahead of the fatal accident. They accused the production of not properly following safety protocols, including gun inspections. The workers claimed that there were two accidental gun discharges on set before, with Baldwin’s stunt double allegedly firing a gun that was announced as “cold” only to find a live round in it. “There should have been an investigation into what happened,” a crew member alleged to the LA Times. “There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn’t happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush.” Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
How Are Other Sets Reacting?
Many film and TV sets are taking action and vowing not to risk having “hot” or “live” — meaning loaded — weapons on set. ABC’s police drama The Rookie has officially banned live rounds. “As of today, it is now policy on The Rookie that all gunfire on set will be with Air Soft guns with CG muzzle flashes added in post,” showrunner Alexi Hawley wrote in a memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, October 22. “There will be no more ‘live’ weapons on the show. The safety of our cast and crew is too important.” Amazon Prime’s The Boys, which is known for its violent action sequences, will also forgo live rounds. Showrunner Eric Kripke, who worked with Rust cast member Jensen Ackles on Supernatural and The Boys, announced the news on Friday via Twitter. “In [Hutchins’] memory, a simple, easy pledge: no more guns with blanks on any of my sets ever. We'll use VFX muzzle flashes. Who's with me?” he wrote. Eric McCandless/ABC/Kobal/Shutterstock
Has It Happened Before?
This is not the first time a prop gun has led to fatalities on a film set. In 1993, the late Brandon Lee was killed during filming for The Crow after an improperly loaded prop gun was fired. His sister, Shannon Lee, reacted to the Rust incident on Thursday. "Our hearts go out to the family of Halyna Hutchins and to Joel Souza and all involved in the incident on 'Rust,'" she tweeted via a memorial account set up for her brother. "No one should ever be killed by a gun on a film set. Period." Pressman/Most/Kobal/Shutterstock
Joel Souza Reacts
"I am gutted by the loss of my friend and colleague, Halyna," Souza said in a statement. "She was kind, vibrant, incredibly talented, fought for every inch and always pushed me to be better. My thoughts are with her family at this most difficult time. I am humbled and grateful by the outpouring of affection we have received from our filmmaking community, the people of Santa Fe, and the hundreds of strangers who have reached out. It will surely aid in my recovery." Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock
Were There Consequences?
According to Deadline, assistant director David Halls, who handed Baldwin a prop gun moments before it was discharged, was "removed from set immediately" after the accident. Producers told the outlet that an incident report was filed and a new assistant director was brought in. Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
The 'Last Photo' of Halyna Hutchins
On October 22, a Rust crewmember named Serge Svetnoy shared a photo of Hutchins that he claimed was taken shortly before the fatal shooting. “This is the last photo with Halyna on set,” he wrote via Facebook. The snapshot showed the cinematographer shooting a scene with Baldwin in a small church on the New Mexico set. Two days later, Svetnoy shared an emotional post in which he revealed that he “was holding [Hutchins] in my arms while she was dying. Her blood was on my hands,” he wrote via Facebook on October 24. In that same message, the electrician stated that, in his opinion, Hutchins’ death was “the fault of negligence and unprofessionalism.” Courtesy of Halyna Hutchins/Instagram
Evidence Recovered
Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza confirmed during a press conference on October 27 that a lead bullet was recovered from Souza’s shoulder after he was taken to the hospital. The bullet is believed to be the one that fatally struck Hutchins.  Police also collected approximately 600 items of evidence, including 500 rounds of ammunition from the set, which were a mixture of “blanks, dummy rounds and what we are suspecting were live rounds,” according to Mendoza. More Information on Crew Member Who Handled Firearms
Hannah Gutierrez Reed was the armorer — or person in charge of firearms — on the set of Rust. During a September episode of the “Voices of West” podcast, the former model admitted “the best part” of her job was “just showing people who are normally kind of freaked out by guns how safe they can be and how they’re not really problematic unless put in the wrong hands.” Reed is the daughter of longtime armorer Thell Reed, who was Brad Pitt’s shooting coach on the 2007 film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. However, the 24-year-old had only worked on one movie before landing the role of head armorer on Baldwin's western. The Hollywood rookie noted she had “figured” out most of the job's requirements on “my own” and said that “loading blanks” is the “scariest thing to me.” Jae C Hong/AP/Shutterstock
The Armorer Says She ‘Has No Idea’ Why Live Rounds Were in the Gun
Gutierrez Reed's lawyers, Jason Bowles and Robert Gorence, released a statement to Us on October 29. "First Hannah would like to extend her deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Halyna," the statement read, referring to Hutchins as "an inspirational woman in film who Hannah looked up to." The statement went on to allege that she had been "slandered" in the aftermath of the shooting. "Safety is Hannah’s number one priority on set. Ultimately this set would never have been compromised if live ammo were not introduced," the lawyers claimed on her behalf. "Hannah has no idea where the live rounds came from. Hannah and the prop master gained control over the guns and she never witnessed anyone shoot live rounds with these guns and nor would she permit that. They were locked up every night and at lunch and there’s no way a single one of them was unaccounted for or being shot by crew members. Hannah still, to this day, has never had an accidental discharge." Though there have been reports that there were two accidental discharges in other situations on set, Gutierrez Reed's lawyers allege that others were at fault. "The first one on this set was the prop master and the second was a stunt man after Hannah informed him his gun was hot with blanks," they alleged. Myung J Chun/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock
The Armorer Wanted More Time to Prepare
Gutierrez Reed's lawyers suggested that the blame for the fatal accident lay with other filmmakers. "Hannah was hired on two positions on this film, which made it extremely difficult to focus on her job as an armorer," they said in the October 29 statement. "She fought for training, days to maintain weapons, and proper time to prepare for gunfire but ultimately was overruled by production and her department. The whole production set became unsafe due to various factors, including lack of safety meetings. This was not the fault of Hannah." Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
Baldwin Says Hutchins Was a Friend
While in Vermont on October 30, Baldwin told news outlets that he couldn't say much about the incident, but he is cooperating with authorities and mourning the death of Hutchins. "I’ve been ordered by the sheriff’s department in Santa Fe, I can’t answer any questions about the investigation," Baldwin said. "I can’t — it’s an active investigation in terms of a woman died. She was my friend.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock
Baldwin Is Talking to Hutchins’ Family
The actor, who also produced the film, explained that he met with Hutchins' husband as well as her son to offer support. "The guy is overwhelmed with grief," Baldwin said on October 30. "There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time but nothing like this. This is a one in a trillion event, and so he is in shock [and] has a 9-year-old son. We are in constant contact with him. We’re very worried about his family and his kid, and we’re eagerly awaiting for the sheriff’s department telling us what their investigation has yielded.” Andres Leighton/AP/Shutterstock
Assistant Director Breaks His Silence
Dave Halls, the assistant director on Rust, released a statement in which he praised his “friend” Hutchins. “I’m shocked and saddened by her death,” he said. “It’s my hope that this tragedy prompts the industry to reevaluate its values and practices to ensure no one is harmed through the creative process again.” He continued, “My thoughts are with all who knew and loved Halyna.” Halls did not address the details of the incident or the reports that he was the one who handed Baldwin the gun involved in the shooting. Jae C Hong/AP/Shutterstock
Correcting the Narrative?
Baldwin reposted a thread from Terese Magpale Davis, who worked on Rust as a costume designer, outlining what they allege really happened on set. Davis’ post, which the actor shared via his Instagram account on November 2, claimed “the story being spun of us being overworked and surrounded by unsafe, chaotic conditions is bulls—t.” Davis stated that she “never worked more than a 12.5-hour shoot day,” saying that only happened once and “most days” were under the 12-hour mark. She recalled the day that Hutchins died, saying, “We had come off a 12-hour turnaround after an 11-hour shoot day,” noting they had a “56-hour weekend right before” the prolonged day. “No one was too tired to do their jobs,” she said. She refuted claims that the producers on the film didn’t care about their crew, writing, “They were some of the most approachable and warm producers I’ve ever worked with.” Davis explained that “concerns were heard and addressed” by the producers. According to her, the crew had a union rep who told production “not to give in to the camera crew” demands because they were asking for things that “the union does not require.” Davis alleged that she has spoken with the producers on the project since the accident, and they told her they have chosen not to defend themselves against the “blatantly false accusations” because they want the “focus to be on Halyna” and they want to “grieve and recover.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock

Police Protection?
“Every film/TV set that uses guns, fake or otherwise, should have a police officer on set, hired by the production, to specifically monitor weapons safety,” Baldwin tweeted on November 8. Halyna Hutchins Was Laid to Rest
More than a month after the tragedy, Halyna has been laid to rest. Her husband, Matthew, confirmed that a funeral was held on the weekend of Saturday, November 20, ET reports. Matthew revealed that Hutchins' grave marker has her name followed by ASC, indicating her association with The American Society of Cinematographers. The late mother's headstone also features images of a camera and film reel, emphasizing her passion for moviemaking. Underneath her years of birth and death is an inspirational quote: "Her light shapes our lives. Keep chasing your vision." Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
First Interview
The It's Complicated actor sat down for an in-depth interview with ABC News more than one month after the tragedy, opening up about the aftermath of the shooting. In a clip from the December 2021 special, Baldwin cried while reflecting on what went wrong on set. "The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger," he said. "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never. I have no idea [how a bullet got in there]. Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property." Baldwin went on to say the incident was the "worst thing" that's ever happened to him, explaining, "Because I think back and I think, 'What could I have done?'" Lumeimages/MEGA
The Aftermath
Baldwin confessed during his first sit-down interview about the incident that he didn't feel guilty, revealing, "I might have killed myself if I felt that I was responsible. I don't say that lightly." He continued to deny pulling the trigger, asserting that he was simply following Hutchins' directions on set. "I've been told by people who are in the know, in terms of even inside the state, that it's highly unlikely that I would be charged with anything criminally," he added. ABC News
The Letter
Baldwin shared a two-page letter via Instagram in December 2021 that was written by the Rust crew, which defended the film’s production. The writers of the note clarified that the note had "not been sanctioned or influenced in any way by the producers,” but was intended to "express a more accurate account" of their "workplace tragedy." The letter stated that Hutchins was the “heart of the production” and “losing her hurt every single one of us." "We are hurting from the loss of our togetherness, our spirit, and the loss of our labor,” the message continued. “We are hurting for our friends that have been targeted by the public as they themselves grieve." While those who worked on the film said the production had its challenges, “the descriptions of Rust as a chaotic, dangerous, and exploitative workplace are false and distract from what matters the most: the memory of Halyna Hutchins, and the need to find modern alternatives to outdated industry firearm and safety practices.” imageSPACE/Shutterstock
The Investigation Continues
Police sought a warrant to obtain the Boss Baby actor's cell phone in December 2021, according to Deadline, requesting the device to determine whether there might be "any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins." A judge signed off on the paperwork, which stated, "Such information, if it exists, may be material and relevant to this investigation." At the time, Baldwin's lawyer noted, "We are confident that the evidence will show that Mr. Baldwin is not responsible civilly or criminally for what occurred on October 21, and he continues to cooperate with authorities." John Sheene/Ace Pictures/Shutterstock
Calling Out ‘Lies’
As more details continued to emerge, Baldwin denied a report claiming he asked for a larger prop weapon on the movie set. "This, in fact is a lie," he tweeted in December 2021. "The choices regarding any props by me for the film RUST were made weeks before production began. To suggest that any changes were made 'before fatal shooting' is false." Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Alec’s Christmas Message
Baldwin took to Instagram on Christmas Eve to thank “all the people who sent me such kind words and best wishes and strength and hope and prayers, thoughts and lots of encouragement.” He said in the December 24 video, ”I got hundreds, hundreds of emails from friends, family and colleagues and people I haven't heard from in quite a while to send me strength and good wishes and so forth. I'm really grateful to them.” The actor then referenced the tragedy. “I’m looking forward to some aspects of this being behind me, of course. For everyone who is involved in this, it'll never be behind us because someone died so tragically,” he said. “I only care about my wife and my kids and moving forward with my life and trying to get through a tough time, a really tough time. Whatever holiday you're celebrating, happy holidays to everybody. I hope that you're as lucky as I am in one department, that you're home with your family; I'm home with my family." The Hutchins Family’s Lawsuit
In February 2022, lawyers filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of her husband and son. The suit named Baldwin as a defendant along with seven producers and numerous crew members. “[Matthew] lost his long-term wife who was the love of his life, and his son lost a mother,” an attorney for the family said during a press conference announcing the suit. “It never should have happened.” Shutterstock (2)
The Financial Ramifications
Rust Movie Productions LLC was fined over $136,000 by New Mexico’s Occupational Health and Safety Bureau in April 2022, after safety officials claimed in a statement that the production company showed “plain indifference to the recognized hazards associated with the use of firearms on set that resulted in a fatality, severe injury, and unsafe working conditions.” Environment Cabinet Secretary James Kenney released a separate statement after announcing the fine. “The investigation found that this tragic incident never would have happened if Rust Movie Productions, LLC has followed national film industry standards for firearm safety,” he explained. “This is a complete failure of the employer to follow recognized national protocols that keep employees safe.” The bureau confirmed that the “Willful-Serious” citation — and $136,793 fine — is the maximum permitted under New Mexico law. For their part, Rust Movie Productions LLC plans to appeal the penalty. “While we appreciate OSHA’s time and effort in its investigation,” the company told CBS in an official statement, “we disagree with its findings and plan to appeal. Our thoughts and prayers remain with Halyna’s family.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

The Flip It Like Disick star, 38, was photographed chatting with the Real Housewives of Miami star, 47, on Wednesday, April 20, while lounging at the pool at the Setai Hotel in Miami, per TMZ. The duo, who coincidentally ran into each other, reportedly spoke for several hours as they relaxed in the sun.

The Bravo personality knows Disick as a result of her past friendship with Kim Kardashian. Pippen and the Skims founder, 41, first sparked feud speculation in April 2020 when fans noticed that Kim — along with sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian  — had unfollowed her on social media. Neither she nor Kim have explicitly stated what caused the falling out, although Pippen has accused Kanye West of driving a wedge between them.

Her hangout with Disick comes just hours after his ex-girlfriend Richie, 23, announced her engagement to music executive Elliot Grange. "Forever isn't long enough,” the model wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, alongside a series of photos from the proposal.

Us Weekly confirmed that Disick and Richie were hooking up in September 2017, four months after the pair were photographed during a vacation to the south of France. "Things became official over the past week while they were in New York City together," a source explained at the time. "It's so weird. Not just the age difference, but mostly the fact that Sofia had been a family friend for years and was close to Kendall and Kylie [Jenner]."

The former couple called it quits three years later, following the Talentless founder’s stay in a Colorado rehab facility. "Sofia and Scott breaking up was only a matter of time. Scott isn't the best version of himself right now and it has been a lot for Sofia," an insider explained to Us in May 2020. “[Sofia] is sad about the situation but trying to take care of herself.” Though they briefly reconciled in July of that year, Disick and Richie officially split the next month.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum moved on with Amelia Gray Hamlin in October 2020. He is currently dating Scottish model Rebecca Donaldson.

Richie isn’t the only one of Disick’s exes to accept a proposal recently. In October 2021, Kourtney — with whom the TV personality shares children  Mason, 12,  Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7 — got engaged to Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker. In the wake of the engagement, a source close to Disick told Us that he was having a hard time accepting that Kourtney had moved on.

"They’re very much in love and talk about everything," the insider says. "He has shared his feelings about his father’s difficult situation with her and she has been nothing but supportive and loving and there for him.”

The 23-year-old actor's family has been in the spotlight since late March after his father, Will Smith, slapped Chris Rock over a joke he made at the 2022 Oscars.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum, 53, has since publicly apologized to Rock, 57, for yelling, "Keep my wife's name out your f—king mouth" during the broadcast after the Saturday Night Live alum poked fun at Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head. (She's been vocal about suffering from alopecia.)

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences ruled earlier this month that Will would be banned from all Oscars events for 10 years as punishment for his actions. Ahead of the decision, the King Richard star resigned from the Academy, again apologizing for his outburst.

"My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable," Will said in an April statement. "The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home. I betrayed the trust of the Academy."

Amid all the drama, Jaden has turned to his loyal group of friends and the 22-year-old Instagram star.

“Jaden has incredibly supportive friends that have been there for him as well," the source tells Us. "He’s had the same friend group for years and he’s always leaned on his inner circle for support.”

The Karate Kid actor was recently spotted at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival over Easter weekend with Zada after first sparking romance speculation in September 2020.

Jaden's sister, Willow Smith, was one of the performers during weekend 1 of Coachella. Her set came one week after she joined Camila Cabello as her musical guest during the April 10 episode of Saturday Night Live.

During the broadcast, the cast roasted Will's punishment from the Academy, joking, "I think a real punishment would be to make Will Smith host next year's Oscars because, trust me, nothing will make you question your choices in life more than hosting an awards show."

Both Willow, 21, and Jaden appeared to put their dad's scandal behind them while hanging out in the desert over the weekend. “Jaden had an amazing time at Coachella with his friends and his girlfriend Sab Zada," the insider tells Us. "They’ve been together a while now and are such a great fit for each other."

Throughout his career, Jaden has had several high-profile relationships, including a brief 2012 fling with pal Sofia Richie, who announced her engagement to Elliot Grainger on Wednesday, April 20, and a 2013 romance with longtime friend Kylie Jenner.

The "Cabin Fever" musician dated Sarah Snyder for nearly two years before calling it quits in early 2017. Jaden moved on with actress Odessa Adlon in spring 2018 but by April 2019 things had fizzled out.

That same month, the "Summertime in Paris" singer was spotted kissing a mystery woman while attending the Levi's in the Desert Pool Party at the Sands Hotel & Spa in Indian Wells, California, over Coachella weekend.

A transparent conversation. Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed that a conversation about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars will happen during a future episode of Red Table Talk.

Will Smith and Chris Rock's 2022 Oscars Incident: Everything to Know

“Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing. Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls,” a statement from Pinkett Smith, 50, read ahead of the season 5 premiere of Red Table Talk on Wednesday, April 20.

The onscreen message continued: “Until then… the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest. Thanks for joining us, Jada.”

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum, 53, recently made headlines for his altercation with the comedian, 57, at the 94th annual Academy Awards. While presenting an award, Rock made a joke about the Girls Trip star’s shaved head. Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia, rolled her eyes at the comment before Smith approached the stage and slapped Rock on camera.

"Will Smith just smacked the s—t out of me," the South Carolina native said in censored footage that later circulated online. Once he returned to his seat, the Suicide Squad star was seen yelling back at Rock to "keep my wife's name out your f—king mouth.”

Later that night, the Philadelphia native addressed the shocking incident while accepting the best actor award for his performance in King Richard. "I'm being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people. I know to do what we do, you got to be able to take abuse,” he said during his emotional speech. “You got to be able to have people talk crazy about you. In this business you got to be able to have people disrespecting you. And you got to smile, you got to pretend like that's OK."

One day later, Smith issued an apology for the “unacceptable and inexcusable” actions that took place during the awards show. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” he wrote via Instagram.

The I Am Legend star added: “I would also like to apologize to The Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.”

Pinkett Smith, for her part, seemingly reacted to the incident when she shared an Instagram quote, which read, “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it.”

Earlier this month, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences confirmed that Smith was banned from all Oscars events for 10 years following his resignation. The Men in Black star responded to his punishment, saying in a statement to Page Six, “I accept and respect the Academy's decision.”

The couple, who have been married since 1997, have previously used Red Table Talk as a way to discuss their personal life.

In June 2020, August Alsina claimed that he was in a relationship with Pinkett Smith — and that Smith was aware of the situation. The Maryland native, who shares son Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21, with her husband, confirmed the "entanglement” one month later.

"Yes, it was a relationship, absolutely. I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken,” Pinkett Smith shared during a joint interview on Red Table Talk in July 2020. “Now in the process of that relationship, I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself."

Smith also weighed in on the ups and downs that led to a brief separation. "I was done with your ass. I was done with you," he joked at the time, referring to their 2015 split. "Marriages have that, though. We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time, and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I'll try to figure out how to make myself happy. I really felt like we could be over."

Ahead of his altercation at the Oscars, Smith shut down speculation that there was any cheating in his marriage to Pinkett Smith. “Never. There’s never been infidelity in our marriage,” he said on CBS Sunday Morning, adding that the pair “talk about everything” with one another. “And we have never surprised one another with anything ever.”

The rapper added: “I have decided that chatter about my life can be of a benefit to people. I think that chatter is the first stage to having a real conversation and being able to truly explore if some of the things in your heart are loving, or poisonous.”

Alsina, 29, for his part, reacted to the Oscars scandal days later. “Choose peace,” the “No Love” singer wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. “Trusting that life's intricate puzzle pieces 🧩 are all forming together for the greater good and mastering of the seasonally sometime chaotic nature of your life's art piece that's being formed and painted by birthing life to your internal masterpiece; grown through external chaos-metamorphosing alchemy, dark turned 2 light and beauty within.”

Why Jessica Simpson Doesn't Regret Filming 'Newlyweds' With Nick Lachey

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 01:41 PM PDT

All in the past. Vanessa and Nick Lachey have been married for over a decade, but they’re not afraid to reminisce about the beginning of their relationship — which began shortly after Nick’s divorce from Jessica Simpson.

The NCIS: Hawai’i star and the 98 Degrees singer bumped into each other several times while they both had shows on MTV, but their first real connection happened after Nick split from the “With You” singer in November 2005.

"Nick and I knew each other in passing because we both worked at MTV," Vanessa explained during a February 2020 interview with Tamron Hall. "He would come on the show to promote his album or anything he was doing at the time, and I was there working on TRL. We would just catch up and we would just talk and hang out. And then when he was single and I was single … he asked me to be in his music video."

The Dancing With the Stars alum appeared in clips for Nick’s song “What’s Left of Me,” which debuted in April 2006. Before they met up to film the video, however, the duo spent “hours a day” talking on the phone. When they reunited in person on set, Vanessa said she got “butterflies” from seeing him again.

In her memoir, Open Book, Simpson admitted that she was hurt when her ex-husband moved on so quickly after their breakup. When Nick’s romance with Vanessa began, his divorce from the Texas native was still not finalized.

“So, Nick, you’re with another already? Seems that you forgot the love you spoke to me,” the fashion designer wrote in diary entries included in the paperback edition of the book, released in March 2021. “I’m saddened beyond belief. Alone in the dark, with no one to call my own.”

Though Simpson was disappointed at the time, she later said she was happy to see that her ex had moved on and started a family. The Masked Singer winner and his wife, who tied the knot in July 2011, share three kids: Camden (born in September 2012), Brooklyn (born in January 2015) and Phoenix (born in December 2016).

“I’m happy for him now,” Simpson told Entertainment Tonight in February 2020. “He’s married with three beautiful children and you know, that was his purpose, and he took heartbreak and made it into something beautiful, and that’s what I did as well. But you know, it took me longer to get there.”

The Blonde Ambition actress wed Eric Johnson in July 2014, three years after her ex-husband exchanged vows with Vanessa. Simpson and the former NFL player share daughters Maxwell (born in May 2012) and Birdie (born in March 2019) and son Ace (born in June 2013).

Keep scrolling to see everything the Lacheys have said about Nick’s split from Simpson.

The 1st Response
“It breaks my heart that I couldn’t make Jessica happy. I wanted to be everything to my wife,” Nick told Rolling Stone in April 2006, two months before his divorce was finalized. “I wanted her to look at me with love in her eyes, the way she did at the beginning, and have her feel like I was the most wonderful, awe-inspiring man on the planet. And when that stopped, it was the worst feeling in the world.” In the same interview, the boybander admitted that he would "marry her all over again" given the chance. “I still love her,” he added. “It would be a lot easier to walk away if I didn’t.” Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock
No Regrets
Eight years later, Nick had changed his tune, saying that he was happy he and his ex-wife never had children together. “In our situation, that was probably the best thing that could have ever happened that we didn’t have kids,” he told Jenny McCarthy during a November 2014 chat on her SiriusXM show. “And look, you’re always going to love your kids no matter how you feel about their other parent, but all things being equal, it was the best thing probably for both of us that we went on with our lives. She’s obviously happily married with two and I’m happily married and about to have two so it all worked out the way it was kind of meant to work out." Jim Smeal/BEI/Shutterstock
It Wasn’t Them
In February 2020, Hoda Kotb claimed that Simpson told her the Lacheys sent her baby gift after she welcomed her first child. Vanessa, however, claimed that this wasn't true. "I feel bad, I’m sorry, you said somebody sent her [something]," the former Miss Teen USA said during her own interview with the Today show host. "It wasn’t us, but thank you, whoever sent it." Broadimage/Shutterstock (2)
Not Petty
After social media users accused Vanessa of being "petty" for saying she and Nick didn't send the gift, the Life From Scratch author defended her comments in a series of tweets. "Ohhh shade! That would be fun and scandalous! No shade though, haha," she wrote in February 2020. "Just wanting to clear the incorrect statement up. That’s all." In a second tweet, she added: "Should I have pretended to give it? Dang. Can we get a do over and I will tell them it was big beautiful basket. ;-). Kidding, sorry you think that, just wanted to be truthful. That’s all. But the gift sounds lovely!" Simpson, for her part, later claimed that she didn't say the Lacheys sent her a gift. "Well, I don’t really know that I got a gift pe se,” she said during a February 2020 interview with Andy Cohen. “I didn’t get a gift. ... I don’t know where that came from.” Ser Baffo/Netflix
He Lived It
In November 2021, Nick said that he still hadn't read Open Book, which debuted in February 2020 — and he had no plans to do so in the future. "Obviously, I knew the book was coming out, but I lived the book," he said during an interview with Cohen. "I know what the truth is, so I don't need to read it — read someone's version of it in a story." He added: "That was 20 years ago. It's honestly the last thing on my mind these days except when someone brings it up. ... I understand why people want to ask, but it's just so not a part of my life anymore that it's not even on my radar. She is doing her thing and I am doing mine, and that's the way it should be." London Entertainment/Shutterstock
‘Very Hard’
During an April 2022 episode of The Ultimatum, Vanessa opened up about what it was like to date Nick so soon after his split from Simpson. “He was literally in a very public marriage and a very public divorce, and I had to go through all that s–t very publicly and it was very hard for us,” she explained. “It wasn’t until the moment that he was like, ‘I’m gonna let it go,’ and I said, ‘I’m gonna let it go,’ and we truly committed to each other. We literally fell deeper and harder than we ever could.” Ilana Panich-Linsman/Netflix

Irina! Kim K.! Cristiano Ronaldo's Dating History and Rumored Romances

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 12:47 PM PDT

All-star romances! Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked to international models, reality stars and more over the years before sparking his romance with Georgina Rodríguez.

The former Real Madrid athlete’s most notable ex is Irina Shayk, whom he dated for five years beginning in 2010. He confirmed their breakup in January 2015.

“After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end,” he noted in a statement to the Associated Press. “We believed it would be best for both of us to take this step now. I wish Irina the greatest happiness.”

Following her split from the Ballon d’Or winner, the Russia native moved on with Bradley Cooper, with whom she welcomed daughter Lea De Seine in March 2017. The twosome called it quits in June 2019.

Ronaldo, for his part, is the father of five. His eldest son, Cristiano Jr., was born in 2010. The Manchester United star has full custody of his firstborn, and he has stated that the identity of Cristiano Jr.’s mother will remain under wraps.

“People speculate I was with this girl or another, or there was a surrogate mother,” he told Jonathan Ross in a November 2015 interview. “When Cristiano is going to grow up, I am always going to say the truth to him because he deserves it, because he is my son, but I am not going to say because people want me to say.”

The Champions League player went on to welcome twins Eva and Mateo in June 2017 via surrogate. Five months later, Rodríguez gave birth to the pair’s first daughter together, Alana. The couple announced in October 2021 that they were expecting twins, revealing just before the new year that they were having a son and a daughter.

Rodríguez went into labor in April 2022. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” the pair wrote in a joint statement shared via Instagram at the time. “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

The parents, who began dating in 2016, went on to thank their nurses and doctors “for all their expert care and support,” concluding, “We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”

Three cheers for Sofia! Nicole Richie, Evan Ross and more stars shared their well-wishes for Sofia Richie and her fiancé, Elliot Grainge, after news broke of their engagement on Wednesday, April 20.

"Can't wait to find ways to make this about me," Nicole, 40, jokingly wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday while toasting her 23-year-old sister's happy news.

The House of Harlow designer — who is the oldest child of Lionel Richie — shared a photo of the siblings hugging after the proposal revealing the bride-to-be's rectangle-shaped diamond ring.

Lionel, 72, and ex-wife Brenda Harvey informally adopted Nicole when she was a child, making things legal when she was 9 years old. Following the American Idol judge's split from Harvey in 1993, he married Diane Alexander. The couple welcomed son Miles Richie in May 1994 and daughter Sofia in August 1998 before calling it quits in 2004.

Nicole, who is married to Joel Madden, appeared to be on vacation with her sister when Grainge, 28, popped the question.

"She said yes ❤❤❤," the music exec wrote via Instagram on Wednesday alongside a snap of the newly engaged couple kissing somewhere tropical. Sofia replied, "I love you."

The model, who was first linked to Grainge in January 2021 after her split from Scott Disick five months prior, shared proposal photos in her own social media post.

"Forever isn't long enough @elliot," she captioned a picture of her love down on one knee surrounded by flowers and candles at sunset.

While Miles, 27, didn't appear to be at the proposal, he was quick to send his sister a heartfelt message via his Instagram Story on Wednesday. "My two favorite people," he captioned the same romantic snap.

Ross, 33, was among the many celebrities who gushed over the couple after learning the news. "❤❤❤❤ congratulations sis!! Sending lots of love to you both," the Star alum commented on Sofia's post.

Cody Simpson's Dating History: From Kylie Jenner to Miley Cyrus

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 11:50 AM PDT

A man in love! Cody Simpson‘s relationships have been a topic of conversation over the years as he navigates dating in the public eye.

In 2013, Simpson was linked to Gigi Hadid after they met while working on the music video for his song “Surfboard.” The former couple dated on and off for two years before calling it quits for good in May 2015.

After their split, a rep for the model told Us Weekly, “Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career.”

The statement continued: "They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future. They remain friends with no hard feelings and each other’s biggest supporters.”

One month later, Simpson and Hadid proved that they were still close when they posted a photo of them sitting together on the same flight. “When you get seated next to ur ex on a plane,” the performer captioned an Instagram selfie with Hadid in the background.

The competitive swimmer later gushed about his ex-girlfriend’s professional success, telling Us in January 2018, "It's fantastic, I think she's one of the most wonderful people I've ever known. I'll always be happy for her. As a model, she's achieved the highest of heights and I'll always be happy for her."

In 2019, Simpson sparked romance rumors with Miley Cyrus following her split from now-ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. At the time, an insider revealed that the musicians were “having fun” in their casual relationship. “They both understand each other’s lifestyles and the traveling that comes along with each of their jobs. They aren’t putting any hard restrictions on their relationship,” the source shared. “Cody isn't a jealous person and is pretty relaxed and laid back, which works for both of them.”

Less than one year into their whirlwind romance, the Hannah Montana alum announced their decision to part ways. "For right now, two halves cannot make a whole and we're individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we want to be," Cyrus told fans during an Instagram Live in August 2020. "Like everyone else at this age, we're deciding who we want to be and what we want to do with our lives. So don't make it some drama story if next week we're spotted hanging out or getting pizza. We've been friends for 10 years and will continue to be friends. Don't make it something that it is not."

Simpson later explained that their breakup was caused by “circumstance[s]” that were beyond their control.

“It was kind of a mutual decision between us, knowing that we were sort of going in different directions in our life,” he said on The Kyle & Jackie O Show in April 2022. “I had just started training [for the Olympics] at that point, so my life was changing a lot and I knew I was going to have to eventually move back to Australia to do it properly and professionally. She was just going into her whole new album and was going to be going out on tour and doing all that stuff, so it was kind of a fork in the road kind of scenario, really.”

Not so cool. Michael Jeffries made headlines in 2014 when he retired from his role as CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch — and his controversial work with the company is back in the news thanks to Netflix's new documentary.

White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch dropped on the streaming service on Tuesday, April 19. The doc is an eye-opening inside look at what happened to the clothing brand following Jeffries' rebrand in 1992.

After his own company went belly up, Jeffries was recruited by Leslie Wexner as he tried to bring life back to Abercrombie & Fitch, which was originally founded in 1892. With the hiring of Jeffries, the brand became intentionally exclusionary and it was profitable … for a while.

"I was kind of shocked at how much it took these abstract negative forces in society and systemized it," White Hot director Alison Klayman told IndieWire on Tuesday. "You could really tell a story of the system and make things concrete — structural systemic racism, beauty standards — something that feels in the air but clearly affects all of us, and in the case of Abercrombie, it's really a story of top-down reinforcement of things that exist in society and are weaponized and used for their gain."

The former CEO famously told Salon in 2006 that the brand was "absolutely" exclusionary, noting that he only wanted to market the clothes to "cool, good-looking people."

While Jeffries was running the show at A&F, having extremely fit, toned, hot and somewhat unattainable workers both in the stores and at headquarters was the norm. The sexy and specific vibe of elitism was something Jeffries never apologized for — and ultimately got him into trouble.

“In every school, there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids. Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends," he told Salon. "A lot of people don’t belong [in our clothes], and they can’t belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely. Those companies that are in trouble are trying to target everybody: young, old, fat, skinny. But then you become totally vanilla. You don’t alienate anybody, but you don’t excite anybody, either.”

Jeffries' controversial comments and intense marketing ploys paired with complaints of racism in the company and a decline in sales led to him stepping down as CEO in December 2014.

3. He Got His Start in a Department Store
Following graduation, Jeffries took part in Abraham & Straus’ management training program. While the Brooklyn, New York department store is now defunct, the program helped Jeffries get his footing in fashion. Jeffries shares son Andrew with ex-wife Susan Hansen. It is unclear as to when the former CEO split from Hansen, but as of 2013, Jeffries was reportedly living with his partner, Matthew Smith. Mark Lennihan/AP/Shutterstock
5. He Is Still Worth a Lot of Money
In 2017, the retiree sold his Midtown Manhattan East townhouse for $12.9 million and proceeded to lay low. His net worth, however, is $300 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, as he reportedly still owns nearly three percent of shares in Abercrombie & Fitch. Seth Wenig/AP/Shutterstock

Sofia Richie's Dating History: From Justin Bieber to Scott Disick

Posted: 20 Apr 2022 11:27 AM PDT

Growing up in the spotlight, Sofia Richie has sparked her fair share of swoon-worthy romances — but they haven’t always worked out.

Lionel Richie‘s daughter caught fans’ attention in August 2016 when she began dating Justin Bieber. One month later, she gave Billboard some insight into her “special relationship” with the “Sorry” crooner.

“Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles,” the model said at the time, playing coy about her and Bieber’s official status.

Though their relationship was brief, the duo documented their romantic getaways to Mexico and Japan on social media. Their frequent posting caused tension with the Canadian’s ex Selena Gomez, who chimed in after a heated online debate with fans caused Bieber to disable his Instagram account out of consideration for Sofia.

“If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people like that,” the “Peaches” singer captioned a post at the time, to which Gomez replied, “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”

After ending things with Bieber, the California native fell head over heels for Scott Disick. The reality star previously dated Kourtney Kardashian — with whom he shares three kids — on and off for nine years before they went their separate ways in 2015. Two years later, Disick was caught getting cozy with Sofia in the South of France.

“It’s so weird,” a source told Us Weekly of the budding romance in September 2017. “Not just the age difference, but mostly the fact that Sofia had been a family friend for years, and was close to Kendall and Kylie [Jenner].”

Over time, however, the Kardashian-Jenner clan grew supportive of the relationship. A separate source told Us in August 2018 that “there's no beef between” Sofia and the famous family, who thought she was a “great” match for Disick.

Two years later, Us confirmed that the pair had split following a brief separation in May 2020. According to a source, Disick was the one who initiated the breakup.

“Friends attributed their 15-year age difference becoming an issue,” an insider added in August 2020. “[Scott’s] in a very much different place in his life, really focused on a more quiet lifestyle, his kids and his investment businesses and Sofia … is really still trying to figure what she wants to do, which drove them apart over time.”

A separate source explained that Disick’s friendship with the Poosh founder caused tension between him and the Tommy Hilfiger model. During a March 2021 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the New York native said that Sofia had given him an “ultimatum” to choose between her and the E! personality before they broke it off.

Following her split from Disick, Sofia was linked to a handful of different partners, including Elliot Grainge. The duo made their relationship Instagram official in April 2021. The couple got engaged one year later.

Lionel Richie‘s daughter moved on with Grainge in the wake of her split from boyfriend of three years Scott Disick. The former couple were first linked in 2017 and briefly broke in May 2020 before reconnecting two months later. They called it quits for good in August 2020 — and Sofia’s inner circle thought it was for the best.

Sofia’s family think she is way better off without him. They have been advising her to do her own thing, especially during the [coronavirus] quarantine,” a source told Us in September 2020. “She has been separating herself from the equation and it has been the healthy thing for her and her family. … Sofia is a family girl and knowing her sister and dad haven’t approved of him from the beginning has been a big thing for her.”

During the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which concluded last year, the 38-year-old Talentless cofounder claimed that Sofia gave him an “ultimatum” to choose between her and Kourtney Kardashian, with whom he shares children Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7.

“I thought I would give it a try and make her more a priority, but then even when doing that, I feel like she just started wanting to push Kourtney out,” he told Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian during a March episode. “I said, ‘The most important thing to me is my kids, and that’s my family.’ … [Sofia] was like, ‘I don’t want to share you as a boyfriend with Kourtney.'”

Disick dated the Poosh founder, 43, on and off for nine years before they split for good in 2015. She got engaged to Travis Barker in October after less than one year of dating and held a small, unofficial wedding ceremony in Las Vegas in April. Kourtney’s engagement came shortly after Us confirmed Disick broke up with Amelia Gray Hamlin, who he was first linked to in October 2020.

Relationship bliss! Following her high profile relationship with Scott Disick, Sofia Richie has had a more low-key approach to her romance with Elliot Grainge.

Richie and Disick started dating in 2017 following his breakup from Kourtney Kardashian. The model and the Talentless cofounder broke up briefly in March 2020 before getting back together two months later. The twosome called it quits for good in August 2020 following tension with Kardashian.

According to a source, Disick was the one who decided to end the relationship.

“Friends attributed their 15-year age difference becoming an issue,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly at the time. “[Scott’s] in a very much different place in his life, really focused on a more quiet lifestyle, his kids and his investment businesses and Sofia … is really still trying to figure what she wants to do, which drove them apart over time.”

One month later, a second source noted that Richie’s family “think[s] she is way better off without [Scott].”

“She has been separating herself from the equation and it has been the healthy thing for her and her family,” the insider added at the time.

The New York native, who shares son Mason, daughter Penelope and son Reign with the reality star, later admitted that Richie was feeling “neglected” due to his close connection with the Poosh founder.

"I think people come into our lives and think it's maybe easier than they think … to be with you or with me. But it's very true that we do come with a lot of baggage. And it's definitely not easy that we see each other, work together and are friends," Disick told the California native during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in March 2021. "The truth is, anybody dating somebody is going to feel neglected when their significant other is spending more time with their ex than with them."

Richie, for her part, sparked dating rumors with Grainge after they were spotted together in January. They confirmed their relationship two months later and another insider detailed how their friendship turned into more over time.

"They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious. Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together,” the source shared with Us in April. "He's super sweet and a really cool guy — her friends and family approve!"
