| Why Miranda Lambert Is Missing the Grammys After Skipping ACM Awards Posted: 02 Apr 2022 06:28 PM PDT  Sitting this one out. Miranda Lambert revealed she will not attend the 2022 Grammy Awards weeks after missing the Academy of Country Music Awards. “I’m not getting to go again,” the “Little Red Wagon” singer, 38, told ABC Audio on Friday, April 1. “I’m slammed this month, with the record coming out and everything.” Lambert is nominated in two categories. “Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)” with Elle King is up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance while “The Marfa Tapes,” her album with Jon Randall and Jack Ingram, is nominated for Best Country Album at the Grammys. However, instead of heading to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the awards show, Lambert is in pre-production for her The Bandwagon Tour, which she is co-headlining with Little Big Town. She is also gearing up for her new album, Palomino, to debut on April 29. “I got to play on the Grammys last year, and I got to take one home, and I was just so thankful,” she told ABC Audio. “I’m grateful for what I already have.” The “If I Was a Cowboy” songstress also missed out on last month’s ACM Awards. She accepted the coveted Entertainer of the Year award virtually, explaining in a video message that she missed her first Academy of Country Music Awards ever due to a prior commitment overseas. Lambert said she previously attended every ACM Awards show for 17 years straight, but her appearance at the C2C Festival in Europe prevented her from being at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the March 7 ceremony. "I've been waiting for this for a really, really long time,” she said of the Entertainer of the Year trophy. “I actually never thought it would happen. This one goes out to all the girls out there. We did it!" Though Lambert will not be in attendance at the Grammys, plenty of other stars will be there. Silk Sonic will open Sunday’s show, and other performers include nominees Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Olivia Rodrigo, Carrie Underwood, John Legend and more. Even the Broadway fans have a good reason to tune in. Rachel Zegler, Leslie Odom Jr., Ben Platt, and Cynthia Erivo are set to perform a tribute the late Stephen Sondheim. Khloé Kardashian said she thought an online commenter’s plastic surgery accusations were “so funny.” On Friday, April 1, the Kardashian Social Instagram account reposted the Good American cofounder’s workout video. The clip showed Kardashian, 37, folding into downward dog and lifting one leg, giving a clear view of her side profile. The way her glutes moved under her purple leggings had fans talking in the comments section. One viewer wrote, “Omg u can see her implants when stretching. A 2nd layer of her bum on top of her bum.” Kardashian chimed in to correct the commenter. “Lol silly goose,” Kardashian replied. “It's the seam design of the leggings. that's so funny ha! You guys just want to believe anything bad The former Revenge Body host confirmed in June 2021 that she had one major change that required plastic surgery — rhinoplasty. "For me, everyone says, 'Oh my gosh, she's had her third face transplant,’" the Strong Looks Better Naked author explained to host Andy Cohen during part two of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion. "But I've had one nose job — Dr. Raj Kinodia — and everyone gets so upset, like, 'Why don't I talk about it?’" She claimed that while many speculate about the assets she was born with, few are brave enough to ask. "No one's ever asked me," she said of plastic surgery rumors at the time. "You're the first person in an interview that's ever asked me about my nose. I've done, sure, injections — not really Botox. I've responded horribly to Botox." Keeping Up With the Kardashians chronicled the reality star’s struggle with self-confidence. "When the show first started, I was very secure, very secure," she replied. "And then during the first couple seasons, I became insecure because of the public opinions of myself. Then I had, I think, a good run of being secure, and then I think recently I've become now insecure again. So I guess it just goes, you know, up and down." Viewers will see where she is now when her family’s new series, The Kardashians, premieres this spring. The show will allow viewers to catch up with the California native after her split from Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares daughter True, 3. An insider exclusively told Us Weekly last month that Kardashian is ready to find love again if the right man comes along. "[Khloé] is enjoying spending time with her best friends and family," the source explained, adding that the Dose & Co. cofounder is "not actively dating" right now. The Even Stevens alum — who previously was linked to Karolyn Pho, Megan Fox and Isabel Lucas — began dating Goth in December 2012 after they met on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol II. In the 2013 film, LaBeouf played Jerôme while Goth played P. "Oh, I’ve been in love with every woman I’ve ever worked with,” the former child star admitted to GQ in April 2008 about his dating history. "But some aren’t available. And then there’s the three-month attention span that actors have, you know, I don’t know if it’s mutual, but I really don’t care. They have to kiss me when 'action’ gets called, anyway, so I’ll get what I want." As LaBeouf's romance with the Survivalist actress continued to heat up, Us Weekly confirmed in March 2016 they were engaged after Goth was photographed wearing a large diamond ring. Several months later, the California native confirmed the pair's nuptials. Kanye West is trying to focus on a ‘healthy relationship’ with estranged wife Kim Kardashian. "At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy coparenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children,” West’s representative said in a statement to Us Weekly. The “Power” rapper, 44, and Kardashian, 41, who tied the knot in 2014 share children North, 8, Chicago, 4, Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2. The KKW Beauty founder filed for divorce in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. The rep’s statement comes after West and Kardashian were spotted at Saint’s March 27 soccer game. The Grammy winner even took to the field to help their little athlete warm up before sitting down with Saint’s mom and siblings to watch the game. An insider exclusively told Us that it was an “amicable” spring family outing after a dramatic winter. The exes’ divorce turned ugly when West started publicly attacking Pete Davidson, Kardashian’s first boyfriend since their split, with lyrics and music videos as well as complaining about their custody arrangements and parenting disagreements. In March, the Yeezy designer shared a photo of a black backpack with three pins on it: an alien, Kardashian and West. After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 94th annual Academy Awards, Denzel Washington and other Hollywood friends were quick to console the King Richard star. "There's a saying when the devil ignores you, then you know you're doing something wrong," Washington, 67, said during a panel at the T.D. Jakes Leadership Summit on Saturday, April 2, via The Wrap's livestream. "The devil goes, 'Oh no leave him alone, he's my favorite.' Conversely, when the devil comes at you, maybe it's because he's trying to do something right. And for whatever reason, the devil got a hold of him that night." During the Oscars on Sunday, March 27, the Everybody Hates Chris creator made headlines after joking about Jada Pinkett Smith — who wed the 53-year-old Philadelphia native in 1997 — and her shaved head. Rock, 57, quipped that Pinkett Smith, 50, could star in a potential G.I. Jane sequel. The Maryland native, whose shaved head is the result of her battle with alopecia, rolled her eyes during the broadcast. Smith, for his part, stormed the Dolby Theatre stage and smacked Rock across the face. "Keep my wife's name out your f—king mouth," Smith yelled after returning to his seat. Shortly after the incident, several stars attempted to play peacemaker including Washington, Tyler Perry and Diddy. "No way I could have sat in my seat," the Tragedy of Macbeth star, who was nominated for Best Lead Actor during the awards show, said on Saturday. "That’s just not who I am. … Fortunately, there were people there, not just me but others, [like] Tyler Perry, came immediately right over there with me."  While the Fences star declined to reveal the specific details of the actors' conversation, he noted that they offered Smith prayers.
"Who are we to condemn? I don't know all the ins and outs of this situation, but I know the only solution was prayer, the way I saw it, the way I see it," Washington added. While the Academy made sure to keep Smith and Rock separate for the duration of the ceremony, Smith eventually took home the Best Lead Actor trophy for his role as Richard Williams — the father of Serena Williams and Venus Williams — in King Richard. "Denzel said a few minutes ago, 'At your highest moment, be careful, that's when the devil comes for you,'" Smith recalled of his conversation with Washington while accepting the trophy. "It's like, I want to be a vessel for love. … That's what I want to do. I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love and care and concern." | Raquel Leviss: My 1st Date After James Split Was 'Scary But Invigorating' Posted: 02 Apr 2022 01:12 PM PDT  She's ready to move on! Nearly four months after Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy called off their engagement, she has dipped her toe back into the dating pool. “Last night I went out for drinks with Peter [Madrigal], and it was just a fun little time," Leviss, 27, told Vanderpump Rules costar Katie Maloney during a Friday, April 1, appearance on her "You're Gonna Love Me" podcast. "I figured this would be a good opportunity for me to just get back out into the dating world because I haven’t had an official date since the breakup. So, when he asked me to go grab drinks with him, I was like, 'OK, sure.'" The California native added: "Let's not get carried away. It was one friendly date, but no one else has asked me out on a date. So, this is literally the first person who asked me out on a date, and I said, 'Why not?' It’s good practice after 5 years. … It is scary, but it [is] also invigorating." Leviss and the England native, 30, started dating in 2016 before getting engaged in May 2021. The pair announced their split the following December while filming the season 9 reunion of Vanderpump Rules. "After these 5 wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement," Leviss wrote via Instagram at the time. "We love each other very much, but we aren't in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending Love." Less than three months after their split, the model moved on with girlfriend Ally Lewber. Leviss, for her part, was focused on her healing before diving back into dating. | Red Hot Chili Peppers Honor Taylor Hawkins In Late-Night Performances Posted: 02 Apr 2022 12:10 PM PDT Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has died. He was 50. “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the band wrote in a Twitter statement on Friday, March 25. “His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.” Hawkins joined the music group — which is also comprised of Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, Rami Jaffee and Franz Stahl — in 1997 after William Goldsmith‘s departure. Together, the band has released 10 albums with hit songs including “Best of You,” “Love Dies Young” and “This Is a Call.” The group had been on tour in South America and were set to perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards next month. The Texas native is survived by his wife Alison Hawkins — who he wed in 2005 — and their three children: Oliver, Annabelle and Everleigh. “When I was 25, I never thought, 'I’m going to be a suburban dad someday,'” the late songwriter told Billboard in November 2019. “But that’s what I am, so I can’t write about being young and going to clubs, and I’m not very political. It’s all sort of tongue-in-cheek though.” While further details of Taylor’s death have not been revealed, several of music’s biggest names have honored the “Everlong” performer’s legacy. “I don't have the words. Sad to write this or to never see you again,” Travis Barker, the drummer for Blink-182, wrote via Instagram on Friday. “I'll never forget Laguna Beach days when I was a trash man playing in a punk rock band and you were playing with Alanis [Morissette]. You'd come watch me play in dive bars and be like, ‘kid you're a star.’ And I thought you were crazy but you gave me so much hope and determination.” The Barker Wellness founder — who is set to perform at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday, March 27 — added a second tribute via Instagram Story, writing, “This one hurts.” Full House alum John Stamos, for his part, recalled the last messages the pair exchanged. “This was Taylor Hawkins’ last text to me: ‘Ya We've yet to fully have a hang – Got a put that s–t together before we die,'” the Grandfathered alum, 58, tweeted early on Saturday, March 26. “Wise words from my friend – put that s–t together! I’m so f–king sad. "[Taylor] went up to every single one of us and gave us each our moment," the Dirt actor recalled. "Like every single one of us, man, like down to my assistant. He's such a beautiful soul. He gave his heart." | Lee Daniels Ends Feud With 'Best Friend' Mo'Nique After Public Falling-Out Posted: 02 Apr 2022 11:58 AM PDT Reconciled. Nearly seven years after Mo'Nique — full name Monique Angela Hicks — alleged that her Precious director, Lee Daniels, had "blackballed" her from the film industry, the pair are on much better terms. "[It took me] a long time to realize [this but] I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did," Daniels, 62, told the comedian, 54, at her "Mo'Nique and Friends: April Fools Day with The Queen of Comedy" event on Friday, April 1, per Twitter footage. "Y'all, she was my best friend — my best friend. Y'all think that Precious was just … That was God working through both of us." "And we're gonna f–king do it again," he continued before the pair embraced. "I love you. I love you."  The Grammy nominee brought out Daniels as a special guest during her Staten Island, New York, comedy show. "NO CAPTION NEEDED. I LOVE US 4REAL Mo'Nique previously starred in 2009's Precious — directed and produced by Daniels — as the titular character's mother. The Maryland native later alleged that those actions contributed to her getting "blackballed" by the industry on Daniels' behalf. "How did the Oscar change my life? What it did was that it gave me a new reality," Mo'Nique told The Hollywood Reporter in February 2015. "And it let me know that an award wasn’t going to change my life — that I had to be in control of changing my life." She continued: "I thought, once you won the award, that’s the top prize — and so you’re supposed to be treated as if you got the top prize. [But] I got a phone call from Lee Daniels maybe six or seven months ago. And he said to me, 'Mo’Nique, you’ve been blackballed.' And I said, 'I've been blackballed? Why have I been blackballed?' The couple started dating in 2018, one year after Pratt and Faris confirmed they were going their separate ways after eight years of marriage (the exes welcomed son Jack in 2012). In January 2019, the Take Me Home Tonight actor announced that he and Schwarzenegger were engaged. The couple tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Montecito, California, just six months later. In April 2022, the former US women's soccer goalkeeper was arrested on charges of misdemeanor child abuse, resisting arrest and impaired driving. She was arrested in the parking lot of a North Carolina Walmart with her two children, twins Lozen and Vittorio, in the car. Winston-Salem Police Department/Mega  The Flash actor was arrested in Hilo, Hawaii, in March 2022 and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following an altercation at a bar. Miller had allegedly been "yelling obscenities" while other patrons were performing karaoke, later snatching a microphone from a woman, according to a police report. The Fantastic Beasts star also "lunged at" a man who was playing darts. Miller was released from police custody after paying his $500 bail. Clayton County Sheriff's Office  Us confirmed in February 2020 that the Real Housewives of New York City star was booked for allegedly attacking her estranged husband, Michael Wainstein, amid their tumultuous split. “This is a serious situation reflecting Ms. Wainstein’s increasingly reckless behavior that unfortunately took place in front of the kids,” Michael’s attorney, Morghan Richardson, said in a statement at the time. “The children were released to Michael’s custody yesterday and he is most concerned about protecting them. Southampton Village PD  Jenelle Evans’ ex-husband was arrested in North Carolina in January 2020 for one count of felony larceny and one count of felony possession of a schedule I drug (which could include heroin, LSD, marijuana or ecstasy, among other substances). He was also hit with two misdemeanors: possession of a schedule II drug (which includes substances with accepted medical use in the U.S.) and possession of drug paraphernalia. New Hanover County Sheriff's Office  The “Suge” rapper, born Jonathan Kirk, was arrested on battery charges in Miami, Florida, in January 2019 after an incident at a local hotel and after the issuing of an arrest warrant in his name in Texas. Miami Police Dept.  The country singer was booked in November 2019 after he allegedly drove drunk down the wrong side of the road in East Nashville. Hunt, who had a blood alcohol content of .173, was arrested on DUI charges and an open container violation. He was released on a $2,500 bond hours after he was taken into custody. Metro Nashville Police Department  The actor best known for his roles in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and The Haunting of Hill House was arrested on October 21, 2019, for allegedly driving under the influence in Oregon. Police found him passed out behind the wheel and administered a field sobriety test, which Thomas failed. He was subsequently booked at the Washington County Jail. Pasco Sheriff's Office  Portwood was arrested on felony domestic battery charges in Indiana in July 2019, according to Radar Online. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department  The MMA fighter was arrested on March 11, 2019, after allegedly smashing a fan’s phone outside the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Miami Beach Police/ MEGA  The musician was arrested in Chicago on March 6, 2019, for failing to pay child support to his ex-wife, Drea. The former couple share three children together: daughter Joann and sons Jay and Robert Jr. This arrest comes just one week after Kelly pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. Cook County Sheriff's Office  The "Ignition (Remix)" singer, who has been accused of sexually abusing young women for more than two decades, was arrested on February 22. The musician turned himself in at a Chicago police station hours after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for alleged incidents that involved four victims and occurred between 1998 and 2010. (At least three of the victims were between the ages of 13 and 17.) Chicago PD  The Empire star was arrested on February 21, 2019, for filing a false police report after claiming he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack that took place a month earlier in Chicago. He was charged with felony disorderly conduct. Police claimed during a press conference that Smollett staged the attack because he was dissatisfied with his salary. Chicago Police Department  Jamie Lynn Spears’ ex-fiancé was arrested in Natchez, Mississippi, on February 12, 2019, for possession of oxycodone, Xanax, lorazepam and drug paraphernalia. An arrest report obtained by Us stated that police found Aldridge “passed out” in the driver’s seat “with the vehicle still in drive.” He was in jail for four days, and later admitted to Us that his drug use has “been an issue for a while.” Adams County Jail  The rapper was arrested and charged with battery substantial physical harm on February 2, 2019. The 31-year-old, whose real name is Shad Moss, had visible injuries on his face in his mugshot. He reportedly ordered six whiskeys for a total of $36 at a bar in December 2018 and walked out without paying, which led to the arrest. The heroin possession charge stemmed from an outstanding warrant. Hamilton County Jail  The 90 Day Fiancé star was arrested for domestic battery in January 2019 after getting into an alleged altercation with her husband, Colt Johnson. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer Jay Rivera told Us Weekly that authorities arrived at the couple's home and found that the software engineer was injured. "He had a swollen lip, and his gums and teeth were bloodied,” Rivera explained. The Brazilian reality star claimed she was the one who had been assaulted by Johnson, however, and posted a bloody selfie on Instagram with the caption, "Colt called the cops on me we argue." Dos Santos Lima was previously arrested for misdemeanor battery against her husband in November, but the charges were dropped. Just as it did in 2020 and 2021, Hollywood’s A-list continues to be affected by COVID-19 in 2022 — but they largely attribute their fast recoveries to vaccines. In January, Late Night With Seth Meyers only returned from holiday break for one show before suddenly having to go on hiatus amid the omicron variant’s prevalence. “The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!) the good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!),” Seth Meyers wrote via Twitter on January 4. “We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!” Meyers’ fellow NBC late night host Jimmy Fallon revealed a day prior that he’d recently recovered from COVID-19. The Saturday Night Live alum made it clear that he tested negative before returning to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 3. “Hey guys, on the first day of our holiday break I tested positive for Covid,” he captioned a photo via Instagram of himself masked in a room marked “reserved for testing use.” The room was decorated with an iconic Diff’rent Strokes quote, which Fallon appreciated. "As sad and emotional [as the breakup was] I did really feel a sense of relief because I was feeling kind of bogged down. I felt like I was just going through motions," Maloney, 35, said during a Friday, April 1, episode of her "You're Gonna Love Me" podcast. "To feel that I finally said the things that were on my mind and in my heart, to get them finally out there, and to feel like I can finally move on and heal from these things was freeing to me." She continued: "It is the hardest thing I have ever done because I will always love Tom. I am always going to have so much love for him. He has been my family and my best friend and we have shared everything. I wanted to be with him forever but I felt like I was the only one in it. If you are in that position, write a pros and cons list." Maloney and the 39-year-old Bravo personality — who wed in 2016 — announced their split on March 15 after five years of marriage and more than 12 years together. Our friendships have changed immeasurably," Sophia Bush, who played Brooke Davis on the teen drama, told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2020. “We've been through so many stages of life together. But I think something that we really cherish — Hilarie and I were talking about this not too long ago — is just having, interestingly enough, as we've all gotten older, having our friendships deepen even more.” Bush, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz — who played Peyton Sawyer and Haley James Scott, respectively — appreciate the bond they formed while working on One Tree Hill, especially considering the toxic work environment that show runner Mark Schwahn fostered on the set. “[We’re] actually friends … not fair-weather friends,” Burton said to Refinery29 in January 2017 about how the women’s experience on the show helped them stay close. “I think, underneath, there was an understanding between the two of us, like, we’re in this to win it.” She continued: “I think now, as grown-up women, we can look back, the same way Brooke and Peyton could, and be like, ‘Man, we survived some stuff together, huh?’ And that’s a good feeling. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, works hard to balance her professional aspirations with running a healthy household every day. The Real cohost starts off her morning with a little self-care in the form of beauty maintenance. Beauvais wakes up early — at 6 a.m. — to get rid of her under eye puffiness by placing patches on her face. Next up is a home gym session. "I like to jump-start my heart early in the day," Beauvais exclusively says in the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now. "It gives me the energy I need to get through my busy day." The Haitian-American model fills the majority of her morning and afternoon with work calls, events or tapings. However, the best part of her day is seeing her twin sons, Jax and Jaid, 14, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Nilon. (The duo split in 2011 after 10 years of marriage.) "Time for my parental duties!" Beauvais gushes to Us, referring to her 2:30 p.m. pickup time. "My favorite time of day is when I pick up my boys from school." While the NYPD Blue alum likes to stay busy during the day, she tells Us that she enjoys spending time solo toward the end of the night. "I love my 'me' time," she says of relaxing on the couch, noting that she will often "throw in a glass of wine" during her unwinding time. Despite her already packed schedule, Beauvais can't help but add more things to her plate, including her jewelry collaboration with accessories brand Roni Blanshay, which she worked on last year. "Like most women today, I have an extremely hectic lifestyle which calls for a lot of multitasking," the businesswoman exclusively told Us in May 2021 of the venture. "I feel that wearing even the smallest piece of jewelry helps accentuate a woman's style and adds a touch of polish to her overall look. It makes us walk a little taller and smile a little bigger to know that we're wearing something beautiful."
