'The Drew Barrymore Show' Renewed Through The 2022-2023 Season

Fans of Drew Barrymore and her hit talk show received a great piece of news. "The Drew Barrymore Show" has officially been renewed for another season. The pickup will carry the show through the 2022-2023 season.

"The Drew Barrymore Show" first premiered in 2020 and has served as somewhat of a resurface in the former child star's career. Regarding the renewal news, Drew stated, "I am honored and grateful but I also want to take this show higher and continue to innovate and be a game-changer in the daytime space."

The way viewers consume television shows is constantly evolving, and this is something Drew is mindful of. In her official statement, she said, "Rising to the occasion of finding people in the diverse way they watch is what I want to challenge myself with."

The Show's New Direction

News of the show's pickup also came with the announcement of some big format changes. According to the renewal announcement, "The Drew Barrymore Show" will now be produced and distributed as two thirty-minute broadcasts that can "seamlessly run together back-to-back or be split apart to air separately."

Despite the format change, the series is expected to carry the same type of interviews and segments that fans grew to love. The series has been the fastest-growing talk show in the genre. In addition, only one other talk show in the daytime timeslot has gained viewers year-to-year as Drew's has.

Drew's Network Approval

The high viewership and renewal announcement makes it evident that the fans care about the show. However, they aren't the only supporters of the show's success. Network executives are also touting the performance and future of "The Drew Barrymore Show".

President of CBS Media Steve LoCascio said, "We could not be happier to continue our relationship with CBS Stations and our other station partners to deliver more of 'The Drew Barrymore Show.'

His praise for Drew and what she has created didn't stop there. He also said, "From Drew's unique take on everyday news to headline-generating celebrity interviews to lifestyle how-tos, Drew is a force of nature who has brought a fresh, optimistic viewpoint to daytime television."

Best Moments From 'The Drew Barrymore Show'

Drew has given fans countless epic moments on her talk show over the last two years. One moment, in particular, was a fan favorite. Drew reunited the cast of "Charlie's Angels" which included a rare on-screen appearance of Cameron Diaz.

Besides that moment, another standout episode featured a surprise appearance from director Steven Spielberg. Drew was visibly emotional during the moment and lamented how impactful he was on her childhood.

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz turned 48 two days ago, and her Lancôme family celebrated her with multiple posts. The pictures featured the actress in black and red outfits wearing Lancôme makeup and possible perfume.

She joined the fashion house in 2013 after becoming the face of its perfume in 2010 alongside Julia Roberts and Kate Winslet. Of the three ladies, only Cruz remains with the brand almost ten years after the campaign.

Cruz Looks Pretty In Carolina Herrera

Cruz wore a black figure-hugging long-sleeved Carolina Herrera dress with a low-cut sweetheart neckline exposing her cleavage and a single line silver Cartier Reflection necklace. Her short bob hair framed her face, and she wore a nude shade of L'absolu Rouge matte lipstick complimenting her lightly smoked eyeshadow.

The actress' dress had a thigh-high slit on the left leg showing off her toned limb yet covering up much of her body in a sophisticated fashion.

Flaunting Her Toned Figure In Alaia

Cruz flaunted her toned body in a two-piece red outfit consisting of a bandage Alaia bodysuit and a see-through chain Lanvin skirt for her InStyle Spain interview. The top has a small V-neckline, teasing the mounds of her cleavage and exposing her long bare neck.

Her cover celebrated the magazine's 200th issue, and she discussed her then-new movie Parallel Mothers. The role earned her several awards and nods from Critics, including the covered Volpi Cup in Spain.

She told InStyle Spain and many other publications that the storyline intrigued her because of the main characters' strengths.

"These are very imperfect mothers and as an author that's what intrigued me the most."

Although Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem earned Oscar nominations this year, they both lost the award. That didn't stop the 48-year-old from celebrating, though, as she shared a selfie with her six million IG followers. She turned up with Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Nas X and other colleagues in a fun-filled after-party.

NFL News: Patriots select Mac Jones Backup In 4th Round

The National Football League wrapped up its annual first-year player draft on Saturday. After a chaotic Day 1 and 2 that saw 21 total trades, Day 3 also had its share of surprises. The New England Patriots selected quarterback Bailey Zappe out of Western Kentucky.

The pick came as a bit of a shock. The Patriots selected quarterback Mac Jones in the first round last season, and the rookie had a nice season. Jones looks to be the starter moving forward, but the team had two quarterbacks behind him on the depth chart. That begs the question: Which quarterback is on their way out of New England?

Who Is Bailey Zappe?

Zappe, 23, was highly productive, especially in his final year with Western Kentucky. He broke Joe Burrow's FBS record for most passing touchdowns in a season with 62. He also threw for an FBS record 5967 yards. Zappe has also been praised for his intelligence and throwing accuracy.

While the production and football IQ are there, Zappe wasn't considered a top quarterback prospect due to his physical traits. He has below-average height desired for the position, and in an era where mobile quarterbacks are on the rise, Zappe isn't the most mobile signal-caller out there.

Who's The Odd Man Out?

The other two quarterbacks on New England's roster are Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham. The Patriots signed the 36-year-old Hoyer in undrafted free agency in 2009. He has spent eight years with New England across two different stints. He has also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts.

Stidham was a fourth-round selection of the Pats in 2019. He has spent his entire career in New England, playing in eight games but having yet to start a game. He is still 25-years-old.

Hoyer has seniority over Stidham, and considering the other two quarterback options are younger; it seems as if Hoyer may stick around to play a mentorship role in the quarterback room. That would leave Stidham as the odd man out. Whether he is released or sent to the practice squad remains to be seen. He still has room to grow, so maybe he catches on with another organization.

Regardless of the fallout, it is clear that head coach/general manager Bill Belichick sees potential in the 23-year-old Zappe. Enough for him to spend a valuable draft pick to bring the Western Kentucky product into the fold.

Orton recently discussed how the WWE wanted to break them up and had to convince them to allow them to continue being partners.

"Randy Orton says WWE wanted to break RKBro up months ago, but they talked them into keeping them together for now. "It wasn't too hard to convince them."

Randy Orton Credits Riddle For A Lot Of His Success

Randy and Riddle go back a few years now, and Orton says that if it weren't for Riddle, he wouldn't have had the career he currently has.

 

"Riddle has kind of revitalized my career, so to speak, as far as how I feel in that ring. He's unlocked the amount of fun that I can have in that ring. I think that before Riddle, no matter how you considered me as a performer, there was something missing that is there now that wasn't there before. And what exactly is it, I don't know, but I know that it's a direct result of partnering with Riddle."

Riddle Also Credits Randy Orton For His Recent Success

Riddle also notes that Randy has made him who he is today, and similar to Orton, he wouldn't be here without him.

"I think with me and Randy together, it's awesome because Randy is such a serious character. So for him to kind of drop his guard a little bit, give me some trust and some friendship, I'm always there for him. I’m his right-hand man. I’m his bro, for sho. I'm there all the way."

Will the RK-Bros Stay Together?

The RK-Bros are still together, with no current ending in sight. Although the chairman and CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon, doesn't want them to be partners anymore, there's no denying that having them together is the best for the fans and his pockets.

When these two enter the ring together, fans will tune in to watch. They are two of the best wrestlers that have ever played the sport, but they're also outstanding entertainers. This puts money in Vince McMahon's pockets, and that's something he won't ever try to change.
