Goal! Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth Take Their Sons to Soccer Game

Posted: 01 May 2022 02:49 PM PDT

Marriage looks good on them! Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth have kept their relationship relatively low-key in the decade since they tied the knot.

The actress and the talent agent began dating in 2010 and became engaged soon after. They married in 2011 and welcomed son Tennessee the following year.

Witherspoon opened up about her first impression of Toth upon meeting him at a friend's house. "It happened out of the blue," she recalled in her February 2012 Elle cover story. "This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me. He was like, [slurring, scowling, pointing finger in her face] 'You don't know me.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I know. I don't know you!'"

The Pennsylvania native stepped in to help the Oscar winner, which sparked their romance. "Jim came over and said, 'Please excuse my friend. He's just broken up with someone.' Jim was a really good friend, pulling him out of that situation," she gushed. "That's just kind of who he is, a really good person."

Witherspoon hinted in the May 2011 issue of Elle UK that she was not expecting to find her forever with Toth. "It's an exciting feeling. [Somebody saying,] 'You're The One,'" she told the magazine. "And it's a surprise. You know, I'm surprised when people who aren't related to me see my movies. And you're surprised somebody wants to be with you because, boy, I've got a lot of quirks and wrinkles."

Prior to her relationship with Toth, the Big Little Lies alum was married to Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2008. The exes are parents of daughter Ava and son Deacon.

"I was so, so young. I was, like, ridiculously young," Witherspoon, who was 23 at the time that she wed her Cruel Intentions costar, told Elle UK of her first marriage. "I learned a lot, though. It was an excellent opportunity for me to really find out what it means to be a partner and to be in a marriage and it's not anything that I thought it was."

After the Legally Blonde star made things official with Toth, Phillippe had only well-wishes for the twosome. "I'm very happy for both Reese and Jim," he told the New York Daily News following their wedding. "I wish nothing but the best for the mother of my children."

Honoring her family? Pete Davidson‘s new tattoo seems to honor Kim Kardashian and her four children, who she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.

Davidson, 28, was spotted leaving his Friday, April 29, standup show with new body art, according to photos published by Page Six. The neck tattoo seemingly reads “KNSCP,” which could stand for the initials of his girlfriend, 41, and her children, in order from oldest to youngest.

Kardashian shares children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2, with West, 44. She filed for divorce from the “City of Gods” rapper in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. She moved on with Davidson the following October.

The tattoo was spotted before the pair headed to Washington, D.C. for their red carpet debut. Davidson was leaving The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, where he addressed his ongoing feud with West during his standup set at the Netflix Is a Joke festival.

The comic explained that he had an "AIDS scare," an audience member told Us Weekly. The New York native assured the audience that he wasn't concerned that he had AIDS, but he alleged West spread a rumor that he suffered from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

The King of Staten Island star went to a famous friend for advice. "John Mulaney said, 'He said you have AIDS? You should said say he has polio,’" Davidson recalled.

The Yeezy designer made his feud with Davidson public in January with the release of his song “Eazy,” in which he rapped, "God saved me from the crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass.” In March, a video followed which showed West beheading the comic.

The former presidential candidate took to Instagram in February to voice his disapproval of Davidson having a relationship with his kids, even sharing a screenshot of a text message seemingly from the Saturday Night Live star. "As a man, I'd never get [in the] way of your children," the Guy Code alum allegedly wrote. "That's a promise. How you guys [go about] raising your kids is your [business] and not mine. I do hope [one] day I can meet them and we [can] all be friends."

West added the caption, "NO YOU WILL NEVER MEET MY CHILDREN."

The Suicide Squad actor eventually met North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, an insider exclusively told Us earlier this month. "Kim loves how great Pete is with the kids," the source said. "He's a big kid himself and makes them laugh."

The insider explained that “Kim and Pete are very in sync right now” and their “relationship is easy.” He’s even getting close to her loved ones.

“Kim and Pete are absolutely getting more serious,” the source added. “He's bonded with her entire family, kids, sisters and [mom] Kris Jenner.

While the new ink would appear to be Davidson’s first work of body art honoring Kardashian’s children with West, he has several tributes to the Skims founder on his skin.

"He has a few tattoos, a few cute ones that he got [for me]," she said during a March 16 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"But the 'Kim' one is not actually a tattoo. It's a branding," Kardashian explained to host Ellen DeGeneres, noting that Davidson wanted something he couldn’t cover or remove.

The California native revealed that there's one tat that she prefers to the rest. "I think my favorite one, it says here," the KKW Beauty founder said gesturing to her collarbone, "it says, 'My girl is a lawyer.' And that one's really cute."

Celebrity Engagements of 2022: Stars Who Got Engaged This Year

Posted: 01 May 2022 09:50 AM PDT

Ready to walk down the aisle! Several celebrity couples took their love to the next level in 2022 by getting engaged.

Josh Duhamel popped the question to Audra Mari in January after two years of dating. The actor was previously married to Fergie from 2009 to 2019, and the exes share son Axl, whom they welcomed in August 2013.

"They are both really good people and committed to their son, but they are too different to make it work," a source told Us Weekly in September 2017 shortly after the duo confirmed their split.

Fergie opened up in October 2017 about calling it quits with Duhamel. "It wasn't my plan," she said on The Wendy Williams Show at the time. "I wanted to stay married forever."

A year later, the Las Vegas alum hinted at his desire to remarry. "I want to have more kids in the next few years. So it's more about finding someone young enough to have kids," he explained on the "Armchair Expert" podcast in December 2018. "It's not as if I'm out there just trying to f–k anything. That's really not who I am. I'm trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with, you know?"

Duhamel also reflected on his failed romance with Fergie at the time. "Ferg and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn't work, but I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby," he shared. "She's awesome. So I'm just trying to find somebody. That's kind of what I'm looking for."

After the Transformers star posted on social media about his betrothal to Mari, the former Black Eyed Peas member wished her ex-husband well. "Congrats!!!" she commented via Instagram, adding six green heart emojis.

Jeremiah Duggar, meanwhile, announced his engagement to Hannah Wissmann in January. The news came three months after the pair revealed their courtship.

"Never been so happy. Never felt so blessed!!" the 19 Kids and Counting alum gushed via Instagram in October 2021. "Getting to know each other has been one of the greatest joys of our lives! We are excited to start sharing our story with all of you and to see what God has in store for our future. #mygirlfriend."

Duggar's famous family congratulated him and his fiancée on their engagement via social media. "Good lookin' couple right there," Jessa Duggar replied.

Trevor Noah: It's ‘Risky Making Jokes’ After Will Smith's Oscars Slap

Poking fun? During the first White House Correspondents’ Dinner in nearly three years amid the coronavirus pandemic, host Trevor Noah noted how comedy has changed in light of Will Smith and Chris Rock's Oscars drama.

"It is risky making jokes these days," the Daily Show host, 38, said during his monologue on Saturday, April 30, per C-SPAN footage. "I mean, we all saw what happened at the Oscars."

He continued: "I've actually been a little worried about tonight. What if I make a really mean joke about Kellyanne Conway, and then her husband [George T. Conway III] rushes up on the stage and thanks me?"

The 53-year-old Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum made headlines in March when he smacked the 57-year-old South Carolina native at the 94th annual Academy Awards. Rock joked that Jada Pinkett Smith — who wed the Ali star in 1997 — could star in a G.I. Jane sequel due to her shaved head. (Pinkett Smith has been vocal about her struggles with alopecia and hair loss.) While the Maryland native, 50, subtly rolled her eyes at the joke, Smith strolled on stage and slapped Rock.

"Keep my wife's name out your f—king mouth," the Philadelphia native shouted after returning to his seat.

The Grown Ups actor declined to press charges against Smith — who won a trophy for his King Richard role during the March 27 ceremony — before eventually receiving an apology.

"Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive," Smith wrote in an Instagram statement on March 28. "My behavior at last night's Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. … I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness."

Amid the controversy, the Men in Black star resigned from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, which banned him from future events for 10 years.

After the Oscars incident made headlines, many comedians fervently defended Rock and joked about the situation as a whole.

"Don't even think of this as an award show," the Born a Crime author said last month while hosting the Grammy Awards, referring to Smith's now-viral line from the Oscars. "It's a concert where we are giving out awards, we will be listening to music, dancing, sing, keeping people's names out of our mouths and we are going to give people awards all throughout the night. So let's get straight into it."

Noah followed up his musical hosting gig by emceeing the Washington, D.C., event. The annual dinner — attended by President Joe Biden — aims to celebrate the freedom of speech and raise money for journalism programs. Many comics — including the likes of Noah and James Corden — had the chance to roast the POTUS before he got to crack a few jokes as well.

Still Smitten! Jamie Dornan and Amelia Warner's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 01 May 2022 07:00 AM PDT

A private romance! Jamie Dornan and wife Amelia Warner keep their love out of the spotlight — but they’re still going strong.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star and the musician began dating in 2010 and tied the knot three years later. Their first child, Dulcie, was born in November 2013, with daughter Elva joining the family in February 2016.

Us Weekly confirmed in October 2018 that the twosome were expecting a third baby. Dornan raved over his fatherhood journey weeks prior, telling The Sunday Times, “Being a dad is the best. I feel a healthy and lovely duty to provide for my kids, and I really like it. It suits me. Making my kids happy is a good thing for my wife and me to be driven by.”

He went on to reveal that he and Warner only had one major argument up until that point in their relationship, gushing, “There’s never a day that I don’t tell her I love her. … We get frustrated at times, usually when traveling with the kids, but we’d never let anything boil and become a thing. We know couples who are plate-throwers, but that’s just not us. I’m glad it’s not us — plates are expensive.”

Before the composer gave birth to daughter No. 3 in early 2019, the Belfast actor exclusively told Us that the thrill of welcoming a child never faded. “It’s the best aspect of our lives,” he said at the October 2018 premiere of his movie A Private War. “I’m just as excited as I was the first two times.”

Dornan filmed the war drama in Jordan, and he missed his little ones while he was away from home. “We were working 16-hour days a lot of times,” he told Us. “You just focused on work. It made it a little more bearable.”

When it comes to expanding their family further, Dornan and Warner didn’t have a concrete plan. “Part of me feels like [I need] to put a cork in it after this,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! following the pair’s third pregnancy reveal. “But then alternatively, I feel like we make really great kids. I may just — if my wife’s willing — do it until we can’t do it anymore.”

Like many parents, the duo had to adjust to being home with their little ones 24/7 during the coronavirus pandemic. While discussing his family life in December 2020, the Fall alum said the lockdown was “challenging” and “fun” at the same time.

“Kids are amazing, ’cause they truly live in the moment,” he explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “So they’re not concerned about what’s happening and why the world is the way it is at this age. You know, they’re just [thinking], ‘This is what we have now, let’s have fun.’ So that’s a great thing to be around.”

While parenting can be full of highs and lows, Dornan’s love for Warner has never wavered. “I was smitten from the start, I really was,” he told The Independent in 2015. “I’m more in love with her today than I was at the start.”

"I did something I thought was funny and it wasn't taken that way," Murray, 71, told CNBC on Saturday, April 30, noting that there was a "difference of opinion" between himself and a woman he was working with.

While the Ghostbusters star declined to elaborate further on the alleged encounter or the subject of his comments, he told broadcaster Becky Quick that he spent the past week thinking about his actions.

"As of now, we are talking and we are trying to make peace with each other," the Illinois native said on Saturday while attending the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting. "We are both professionals, we like each others' work, we like each other I think and if we can't really get along and trust each other there's no point in going further working together or making the movie as well. It's been quite an education for me."

Deadline previously reported on April 21 that production on the Searchlight Pictures project — based on a book of the same name by Atul Gawande — has been suspended amid an ongoing investigation. A complaint alleged that the Saturday Night Live alum had been inappropriate on set.

During his Saturday interview, the Lost in Translation actor expressed his hope and optimism that "we are going to make peace" and production would restart so long as the alleged victim felt comfortable.

"I think it's a sad dog that can't learn anymore," Murray said, discussing how he's learned from his mistakes. "That's a really sad puppy that can't learn anymore. I don't want to be that sad dog and I have no intention of it. What would make me the happiest would be to put my boots on and for both of us to go back into work and be able to trust each other and work at the work that we've both spent a lot of time developing the skill of [filmmaking]."

He continued: "The world is different than it was when I was a little kid. You know, what I always thought was funny as a little kid isn't necessarily the same as what's funny now. Things change and the times change, so it's important for me to figure it out and I think the most important thing is that it's best for the other person."

Murray's costars and crew members were reportedly informed of the movie's — which is set for a 2023 release —shutdown via letter.

"We are truly grateful to all of you for everything you've put into this project. Our hope is to resume production and [we] are working with [director] Aziz [Ansari] and [producer Youree Henley] to figure out that timing," the statement allegedly read, according to Variety. "Production will be in touch with you to share details on the wrap, and we will let you know as soon as we have more information to share."

The Groundhog Day actor's behavior previously made headlines after Lucy Liu, whom he starred alongside in 2003's Charlie's Angels, claimed last year that he used "inexcusable and unacceptable" language when they worked together. Murray, for his part, did not respond to the claims at the time.

TikTok Stars Charli, Dixie D’Amelio’s Family: A Comprehensive Guide

Posted: 01 May 2022 06:01 AM PDT

Overnight sensations! Charli D'Amelio and Dixie D'Amelio skyrocketed to fame thanks to their popularity on TikTok. Their success led to news that the social media stars and their parents, Marc and Heidi D'Amelio, would star in a reality show for Hulu in 2021.

Marc and Heidi tied the knot in May 2000; they welcomed daughters Dixie and Charli in August 2001 and May 2004, respectively.

Charli first posted on TikTok in June 2019, with her dance videos subsequently going viral. Dixie then followed in her younger sister's footsteps. Charli became the most-followed TikTok user in March 2020, with more than 100 million followers. The title previously belonged to Loren Gray. Meanwhile, Dixie is the eighth most-followed individual.

The sisters have since landed sponsorship deals with brands such as EOS cosmetics and Hollister, appeared in commercials, released music and attended Paris Fashion Week.

They’ve also dated in the spotlight. Dixie split from boyfriend Griffin Johnson in July 2020 and has since begun seeing Noah Beck. Charli and Chase Hudson broke up in April 2020.

The siblings opened up exclusively to Us Weekly in July 2020 about their newfound success. "We're lucky to have an incredible support system," the duo raved at the time. "Our mom and dad are so active in balancing our schedules and making sure that we always prioritize school and work first."

Charli and Dixie lean on each other too. "If anything, our bond has gotten even stronger as sisters because the 'fame' isn't always the easiest to navigate," they told Us. "We are consistently there for each other and always supporting each other, on-camera and off. Our parents play a big role in making sure that we stay grounded and keep us feeling like normal teenagers — we're still told to drop our phones and do the dishes or clean our rooms!"

The pair have found themselves in hot water but try to keep things in perspective. "We do our best to not let haters or 'trolls' get to us," they said. "It's difficult at times because mean words can hurt anyone, no matter who you are, but we do our best to focus on the positive and encourage others to be kind and spread love. … We feel most confident when we remember that we have such amazing fans who love and support us. They really make such a difference when we see negative or mean comments online."

They Have Their Own Reality Show
Hulu announced in December 2020 that Charli, Dixie, Marc and Heidi would star in The D’Amelio Show, which debuted in September 2021. The reality show follows them “as they navigate their sudden rise to fame, all the while still staying true to their family values.”  The sisters teased the project to Us in July 2020, hinting: “You’ll have to wait and see! But we are working on something.”   Courtesy of Charli D'Amelio/Instagram

They Are No Stranger to Controversy
Charli and Dixie faced backlash in November 2020 after social media users accused them of being “rude” to their personal chef, Aaron May. The “Be Happy” singer threw up after he presented a meal that included snails, while her younger sister jokingly requested “dino nuggets” instead.  Dixie denied that she was being “disrespectful” toward May, who said his feelings were not hurt "at all" by the incident. Charli then cried during an Instagram Live as she called the situation a “misunderstanding.” Courtesy of Charli D'Amelio/Instagram

You're not livin', 'til you're livin' … livin' with them! In 2021, iconic '00s duo Aly and AJ Michalka released their first album in 14 years. Now, they're on tour in support of the record — and they gave Us the inside scoop about their life on the road.

When the sisters — who brought Us bangers like the hit "Chemicals React" and the fan favorite "Like Whoa" — dropped their latest album, A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up on Your Feet Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun, fans were thrilled for the first full-length project from the duo since 2007.

While both Aly, 33, and AJ, 31, are aware of the nostalgic factor of their music — "Potential Breakup Song" has gone viral on TikTok and inspired them to release a new, explicit version — the Disney Channel alums set out dive into social issues they are passionate about on A Touch of the Beat, their latest album.

"Aly and I, our political involvement has grown, our involvement with mental health awareness has grown, our involvement with the LGBTQ community has grown. All of that does play into the lyrics and the meaning behind a lot of these songs," AJ told Entertainment Weekly in 2021. "It’s not necessarily a love song album. There are love songs on the album, but the record is really authentic and carries a lot of depth and weight that I think people are going to feel refreshed listening to."

In addition to their pop music career, the sisters are also known for their acting. The two starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles, while Aly had a lead role on Phil of the Future before joining the CW’s Hellcats and playing a supporting part in Easy A. For her part, AJ starred in ABC's Schooled and The Goldbergs, with a voice role on Netflix hit’s animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

With the release of A Touch of the Beat, Aly & AJ have released four studio albums together, starting with 2005's Into the Rush. The success of that record was quickly followed by their 2006 Christmas album, Acoustic Hearts of Winter. In 2007, the musicians dropped Insomniatic — the album that put them on the map with "Potential Breakup Song."
