Olympian Nastia Liukin Enjoys Mexico In Periwinkle Bikini

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin is flaunting her Gold Medal body while running across a Mexico beach and rocking a tiny periwinkle bikini. The 31-year-old Russian-born star has been making headlines for ditching her Dallas, TX base for a little sun South of the Border, and she's invited her 1.1 million Instagram followers along for the ride.

Posting this week amid a slew of killer New Year's snaps as she rocked a designer Dior dress, Nastia went beachy in her latest shots - check them out below.

Stuns In Mexico

Scroll for the photos. Liukin spent Xmas at her snowy Montana cabin, but she's now enjoying sun, sea, and sand. The 2008 all-around champion uploaded a gallery of images - all showed her frolicking sandy shoes while in a high-cut and cheeky pale purple bikini. The fashionista highlighted her golden tan, also wearing a fun and multi-tonal hat kind of matching her swimwear.

Photos showed Nastia both posing and dashing across sands, with a purple heart emoji captioning the four photos.

Nastia gained over 12,000 likes in a day for her post, with fans saying she's living "her best life." The gymnast has plenty to celebrate, with late 2021 seeing her APL sneaker collab sell out. That said, the transition away from professional gymnastics wasn't an easy one for Liukin as she quit the beam aged just 22 back in 2012.

"I felt so lost for a good year. I gained probably 10 to 20 pounds, because when you stop doing something and just go cold turkey your body doesn't even know what to do," she told The Cut.

Finding Herself

She added: "I finally feel like I've found my rhythm again. It takes time to figure out what your body needs and what's best for you both in nutrition and also fitness."

Nastia now updates with regular workouts that include running with dog Harley, plus power boxing sessions. "I remember my mom telling me at a really young age, "You have to treat your body like an expensive car. What kind of fuel are you putting into that expensive car?" she continued.

Big Fan Love

Nastia might get shaded for her prescription migraine promos, but the blonde proves mega popular overall. She's also raking in the cash via lucrative endorsements - she's influenced for Olay and Dove beauty, clothing brand Revolve, plus Facebook App.

The White Lotus star might have made swimsuit headlines ahead of the holidays, but she was back in her trusty loungewear earlier today, gaining over 90,000 likes in under 30 minutes for her photos.

They come amid big news for Daddario - late last year, the Baywatch bombshell announced her engagement to producer Andrew Form.

Simmons may remain an official member of the Sixers' roster in the 2021-22 NBA season but with their worsening relationship, most people believe that his departure from Philadelphia is inevitable.

However, the Sixers aren't expected to trade Simmons just for the sake of getting him out of the City of Brotherly Love. In any potential deal involving their disgruntled player, Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is seeking a young star who would complement Joel Embiid on the court.

Ben Simmons To New York Knicks

One of the most intriguing trade destinations for Simmons before the 2022 NBA trade deadline is the New York Knicks. In a recent article, Luke Duffy of Fansided's Hoops Habit discussed why the Knicks should trade for Simmons. Simmons may still have some major flaws in his game, but it doesn't erase the fact that he's a three-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-Defensive First Team, and an All-NBA Third Team.

His potential in New York would fulfill their dream of adding a legitimate superstar to their roster.

Knicks Need To Sacrifice RJ Barrett

Trading Barrett would undeniably be a tough decision for the Knicks, but it might be worth it if it means acquiring another young player with a higher ceiling like Simmons. If he could learn how to space the floor and build more confidence on the court, the Knicks could make Simmons the centerpiece of the next title-contending team that they are trying to build in New York.

The successful acquisition of Simmons could also immediately improve the Knicks' defensive efficiency that currently ranks No. 15 in the league, allowing 106.6 points per 100 possessions, per ESPN.

Chloe Kim has a lot to contend with – fame, the pressures of her sport, media scrutiny and being Asian-American – and all of that undoubtedly takes a toll on her mental health. The 21-year-old snowboarding sensation has been training since she was 4, started competing at 6, found instant global fame after winning two golds at the 2018 Winter Olympics while also receiving hate on social media because of that fame. Plus, she's navigating life at a time when anti-Asian racism is in full swing.

Post-Olympic Fame

In an interview with People, the Korean-American athlete recounted, "I was used to getting recognized on the mountain. Everyone there knows the story, but it never happened when I wasn't on the mountain. Then after the Olympics, it was happening all the time everywhere. And it got really, really overwhelming. No one really prepared me for that."

In 2019, Kim enrolled at Princeton and took a break from snowboarding because of an injury. Then in 2020, the pandemic and lockdown happened.

Therapy During Lockdown

It was during lockdown that the halfpipe star turned to therapy to cope with her issues. "It's been a big improvement in my mental health," she told Shape. "I'm learning to open up more and communicate my feelings with people around me."

Her hiatus from her sport made her realize that she needed "to be more respectful of my mental health and my time. I think I wasn't able to. I didn't give myself enough personal time and was just going straight into work, work, work, work, work. It just made me go crazy. So I was like, 'I can't do it anymore.' I definitely have anxiety," she said to People.

Music, Plants And Food

On a lighter note, Kim also shared with Shape what she normally does to keep herself entertained, like singing, taking care of plants and cooking.

The top snowboarder is a fan of karaoke, and it was that love for music that got her cast in The Masked Singer. She likes gardening as well and can get "stuck in the plant section for two hours" while shopping. Also, the US-born daughter of immigrants loves food, especially Korean barbecue, saying, "I have this crazy workout, so I'm like, I deserve to eat." She describes her cooking skills as a "superpower."

‘In A Much Better Place’

The Olympic athlete is now wise about prioritizing her mental health. "I felt pressured to be perfect all the time, and it drained me. I was genuinely angry for a while because I was so concerned about what everyone else would think about me. It became toxic," she said. "That's when I realized, I need to take better care of myself, and if I don't want to do something, I can't force myself to do it. It was very empowering for me, feeling like I finally had more control over my life. Right now I'm in a much better place."

Battle With COVID

Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, contracted the coronavirus while she was already battling double pneumonia – a lung infection that affects both lungs of an individual.

During a photoshoot, Mandy almost fainted and had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to Hola! magazine, the disease badly affected her lungs, and doctors were surprised as to how she was even breathing.

"They said that had my body not responded as quickly as it did, I had two days [to live]," Mandy revealed, per the publication.

"They said, 'We don't know how you've been breathing this whole time. I made it through COVID and didn't lose my taste or smell or anything, but it beat up my lungs pretty hardcore."

'Unvaccinated'

Speaking about the importance of receiving a COVID-19 jab, Selena's mom said that she got the infection before she could get her first vaccine shot, adding that once she caught the virus, her condition deteriorated pretty quickly as her oxygen saturation levels went down.

"A week before I was going to get my first COVID shot, I got COVID. I was at home the whole time. But when my fever broke, my oxygen went to 69, and I was rushed to the hospital," she said, per Hola!.

Questions About Jabs

According to Hola!, when the doctors found out that Mandy had not been vaccinated when she got COVID-19, they started questioning her, assuming that she was an anti-vaxxer.

Speaking to Entrepreneur Magazine, Mandy said that one of the hospitals she went to was quite badgering as they asked her why she didn't get her shot instead of treating her condition first.

"[I was like] I literally can't breathe right now. Can we talk about this later? I will explain why", she told the publication, per Hola!.

Being The ‘Lucky One’

Selena's mother says she battled her condition bravely and turned out to be one of the "lucky ones" to survive the disease.

She told Entrepreneur Magazine, that the doctors treated her condition by administering a combination of steroids and antibiotics, coupled with some breathing exercises.

"It was definitely an experience, and it wasn't scary until I got home. When I got home, I was like, 'Wow, I may not have ever come back here.' I was a lucky one," she said, according to Hola!.

Veteran power forward Kevin Love entered the 2021-22 NBA season full of uncertainties. Before the season started, Love was informed by the Cavaliers that he would be demoted to the bench and receive lesser playing time. However, instead of being discouraged and expressing his unhappiness with his team, he used his circumstances as an inspiration to become a better player on and off the court.

As of now, Love is establishing an impressive performance with the Cavaliers, making some people think if he's still considered as the odd man out in Cleveland.

Kevin Love Finally Helping The Cavaliers Win

Love may be mostly coming off the bench this season, but he's in no doubt one of the major reasons behind the Cavaliers' early success. So far, the Cavaliers have won six of their last 10 games, surprisingly sitting in the No. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference with a 21-16 record. Despite surrendering the starting role to young teammates, Love has shown an increase in production this season.

Love finished 2021 strong, averaging 17.9 points and 7.5 rebounds in the month of December, per ESPN. In their first game in 2022, against the Indiana Pacers, he helped the Cavaliers secure a victory with 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.0 steal while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the three-point range.

Kevin Love Remains Top Trade Candidate

Despite successfully reinventing himself this season, Love still continues to be the subject of various trade speculations. In a recent article, Dan Favale of Bleacher Report created a list of players every NBA team need to trade in 2022. For the Cavaliers, it's Love.

"Defaulting to Love fits that uncertainty," Favale said after explaining why Love is the top trade candidate in Cleveland. "He remains tough to move now, even though he's playing better. But he'll be a $28.9 million expiring contract over the summer when Cleveland has a firmer grip on the health of its roster, overall place in the East, and stronger motivation to act like a heavyweight buyer."

Should Cavaliers Trade Kevin Love?

Love may be playing well right now, but it's still hard to envision him as part of their long-term future. At 33, he clearly doesn't fit their rebuilding plans. Also, the Cavaliers currently have a plethora of young and promising big men - Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Lauri Markkanen - on their roster.

As of now, the Cavaliers are better off taking advantage of Love's impressive performance by trying to trade him for a young player and/or a future first-round pick before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

Kevin Love Linked To LA Lakers

As of now, it remains unknown if the Cavaliers are engaging in trade negotiations involving Love. However, in the past months, the veteran small forward has already been linked to several teams that are in need of additional star power and frontcourt boost, including the Los Angeles Lakers. In an episode of the HoopsHype podcast, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype revealed that some people are speculating Love to leave the Cavaliers for the Lakers because of his connection with former UCLA Bruins teammate Russell Westbrook.

Deshaun Watson Throws Party For Girlfriend As Trade Rumors Resurface

Not so long ago, everybody around the National Football League talked about Deshaun Watson for his great performances on the field.

But ever since he demanded a trade out of the Houston Texans and the news broke of his alleged sexual misconduct scandal, Watson has rarely made the news for something related to the gridiron.

Now, the Clemson product was all over the news for throwing a big birthday party for his 26-year-old girlfriend Jilly Anais, all in the midst of these disturbing allegations.

Watson Throws Big Bash For His Girlfriend

Watson reportedly went all out on the party, showering his better half in presents and even sharing a slow dance together:

"The Texans quarterback threw the internet personality and singer/rapper a private party at Turner's, a lavish restaurant in Houston, where they partied the night away with friends and family," reported the New York Post.

"Watson gifted Anais with diamonds and a number of designer bags, including a Birkin bag by Hermes. Anais showed off a custom Cuban link diamond necklace from Watson, with her nickname, 'Lovebug' engraved in it," added the report.

The League Continues To Investigate Watson

Given his legal status, Watson was inactive throughout the whole regular season.

Nonetheless, the league claim that they still don't have enough information to put him on paid leave or on the exempt list and vowed to continue digging deep into this matter.

"Earlier this month, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at an NFL owners meeting in New York that the league doesn't have enough information to place Watson on the exempt list, which is equivalent to that of paid administrative leave," reported the New York Post.

18 Of 22 Plaintiffs Were Ready To Settle

Even so, Watson still drew plenty of interest in the trade market during the season, and there was some traction to get a deal done with the Miami Dolphins.

However, the fact that four of the 22 women who accused Watson decided not to settle the charges eventually killed the deal.

"Per a source with knowledge of the situation, 18 of the 22 plaintiffs suing Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson for sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions were ready to settle with him in late October. Four holdouts prevented a deal from being done," reported ProFootballTalk.

Browns Could Make A Run At Watson

Still, several teams are expected to pursue Watson in the offseason, with Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated stating that the Cleveland Browns could be in the mix for his services.

"I'd expect Browns to be a player. Are they going to be willing to go the distance? I don't know that, but I absolutely believe the Browns are going to be a player for Deshaun Watson if/when he becomes available. Let's call this an educated guess,"Breer said.

The Browns failed to make the playoffs and Baker Mayfield looked far from a franchise quarterback, so we wouldn't be shocked to see them try and make a move for either Watson or any other QB in the offseason.

Despite missing some of their key players to injuries, the Golden State Warriors are currently establishing an impressive performance in the 2021-22 NBA season. So far, they have won eight of their last 10 games, sitting in the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference with a 29-7 record. With the way that they are playing right now, it's no longer surprising that the Warriors are emerging as one of the top favorites to reach the NBA Finals and capture the Larry O'Brien Trophy this season.

However, some still view them as one of the teams that could make big moves before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

Trade James Wiseman

Having a plethora of interesting trade assets, the Warriors are in a strong position to engage in a blockbuster deal this season. One of the best trade chips for the Warriors is James Wiseman, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. In a recent article, Dan Favale of Bleacher Report explained why trading Wiseman before the 2022 NBA trade deadline is a huge possibility for the Warriors.

According to Favale, the Warriors may consider moving Wiseman if a "can't-miss star" becomes available on the trading block and if they start to realize that they can't "effectively juggle" his development to their present.

James Wiseman Doesn't Fit Timeline Of Warriors' Core

Though they have said on numerous occasions that they consider him part of their long-term plan, no one would be surprised if the Warriors really end up trading Wiseman before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. Wiseman indeed has the potential to become an All-Star caliber center in the league but with the Warriors currently in win-now mode, they no longer have the patience to wait for his full development.

What they need right now is a more experienced, starting-caliber center that would mesh well with their aging core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Potential Trade Targets For Warriors

Wiseman is yet to play a single game in the 2021-22 NBA season due to an injury but according to a Twitter post by Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Coach Steve Kerr mentioned that the young big man would advance to "contact work" next week. Once he proves that he's injury-free, he's expected to receive strong interest from teams that are in the initial phase of the rebuilding process.

Some of the players that the Warriors could target in the potential deal involving Wiseman include Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis of the Indiana Pacers, Christian Wood of the Houston Rockets, Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons.

Offseason Trade Involving James Wiseman

As of now, the Warriors are yet to show a strong indication that they are planning to move Wiseman before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, and there's a huge possibility that he would spend the entire 2021-22 NBA season in Golden State. However, if they fail to reclaim their throne this season, Favale believes that the Warriors are highly likely to trade Wiseman for "marquee reinforcements" in the 2021 NBA offseason.

"Failing all that, there's always the chance the Warriors don't win a title this year, in which case they better be scouring the market for marquee reinforcements to pair with Dray, Klay and Stephen Curry—a search inextricably tethered to Wiseman's availability and mystery-box mystique," Favale wrote.
