As Vanderpump Rules viewers continue to sound off on Scheana Shay‘s relationship with fiancé Brock Davies, the reality star clarified that she wasn’t looking for anyone else’s approval. “Strangers watching a tv show ‘know the truth.’ Not our family and friends,” Scheana, 36, tweeted on Thursday, January 27, in response to comments about how the pair were portrayed on the hit Bravo series. When season 9 premiered in September 2021, fans were introduced to Scheana’s new man, 30, with whom she shares daughter, Summer Moon, 10 months. Throughout the episodes, the Australia native found himself at odds with Scheana’s costar Lala Kent, who questioned Brock’s motives. The former rugby player later raised eyebrows when he used several credit cards to pay for a morganite engagement ring for the “Good as Gold” performer. “Brock thought it would be funny to put a little bit on each card. He could have put it all on one card, but he was like, ‘Oh, I’ll put a little bit on this a little bit on that,'” Scheana exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, January 24. “I thought it was funny. People in Australia who get that cheap type of humor thought it was funny. He’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ll always be a cheap ass. I’m always gonna ask for a discount.’ We will be at Target and Brock is like, ‘Oh, can I get my employee discount?’ It’s a joke. So people who don’t get his humor, whatever.” The athlete also stirred up drama when he suggested that he and Scheana have a secret wedding ceremony during James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss‘ destination engagement party. Ahead of the season 9 reunion special, which aired earlier this week, the California native claimed that there was a misunderstanding when it came to their plans for that weekend. “It was never supposed to be on their property. We had this plan of like, ‘OK, if we could sneak off to a vineyard in Santa Barbara and, like, split off and everyone does activities and no one would know,'” Scheana, who got engaged to Brock in July 2021, told Us. “Just the backlash of that and announcing it at the alpaca farm — I just wish it happened differently.” The Bravo personality pointed out that she put a stop to the idea when she realized they could only do it at the Santa Ynez, California, property. Scheana continued to defend the situation during the second part of the Vanderpump Rules reunion. “Why do I not get to be happy about something that happened in my life? I didn’t want to do it and take away from their party. But I still wanted to tell some of the closest people in my life about something that happened with me,” Scheana said during the Wednesday, January 26, episode. “Do you know how frustrating it is? Why can’t I have a f–king happy moment? Because someone else got engaged? I don’t get to get engaged? It is all of us. It is all of us together. Not one person is more important than any other.” At the time, Lisa Vanderpump questioned why Scheana and Brock decided to reveal their good news at someone else’s engagement party. Meanwhile, Raquel, 27, acknowledged that she understood where her friend was coming from. “I was just surprised," she said. "I understand your situation and I heard where you are coming from. I was just surprised and shocked. I do want you to have your moment and you do deserve that.” While replying to fans on Thursday, Scheana hit back when one social media user accused the SUR owner, 61, of not supporting the relationship. “And Lisa approves of Brock for me," she replied. "And at the end of the day, I also don't even need anyones approval. I know who he is.” |
| Jamie Chung Recalls 'Awkward' Thailand Moment With Hangover's Bradley Cooper Posted: 28 Jan 2022 02:55 PM PST Spilling the tea! Jamie Chung remembered an uncomfortable gym incident with Bradley Cooper and his then-girlfriend, Renée Zellweger, while filming The Hangover Part II. "We were in Thailand and he was dating Renée Zellweger and I’m so awkward and uncomfortable," Chung, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly during a recent game of "Costar Secrets," reflecting on what it was like working with Cooper, 47. "I’m so awkward on set. I don’t know why. I guess people make me nervous and I’m always like, 'Oh, will they like me?' It’s terrible." The California native, who played Lauren in the 2011 film, pointed to one particular moment in the gym when she crashed and burned while trying to speak to Zellweger, 52 — and Cooper saw it all go down. "I was like, 'Hey, hi,' you know, trying to make small talk. And Renee had these, like, sound-canceling earphones on and didn’t hear me," Chung said. "And I was, like, felt so [deflated]. And Bradley — I remember — just looks over and he saw the whole thing." The Lovecraft Country alum added that the A Star Is Born actor just shrugged his shoulders in response as she "stumbled out of the gym." While Chung remembered being embarrassed in Thailand with Cooper — who split from Zellweger in March 2011 after less than two years of dating — her experience working with Michael C. Hall was much more pleasant. "He is a dog whisperer," she told Us of her Dexter: New Blood costar, noting that her miniature schnauzer, Ewok, isn't "particularly friendly" to people but loved Hall, 50. Chung joked that her pup is "more like a cat" and "doesn't like to be touched unless he approaches you," which is why she got worried when the Six Feet Under alum decided to pet him. "In my mind, I’m like, 'Please, please don’t bite him, please.' I don’t wanna get to sued," she explained. "And I was, like, kind of holding my breath and Ewok just, like, totally warmed up to him and let him pet his back. He is the dog whisperer, and he does love animals and he has the cutest little dog himself." Ashley Benson and G-Eazy are back together, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “They’re together. … They just like to keep their relationship private,” the insider says, adding that the couple “never lost touch” after calling it quits in February 2021. “They know no matter what, they have each other to lean on during tough times.” Though the Pretty Little Liars alum, 32, isn’t “rushing into anything serious” with the “Me, Myself and I” rapper, 32, the source notes that the duo have a lot of chemistry with one another. “[They’re] just enjoying spending time together. Friends see them as a good match and are hoping this time around it’s for the long haul,” the source says. Benson and G-Eazy (whose real name is Gerald Earl Gillum) were first spotted together in May 2020 following the Spring Breakers star’s split from Cara Delevingne. The pair, who collaborated on a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” in 2021, bonded over their similar taste in music, and the “No Limit” musician gushed about Benson’s musical prowess five months into their relationship. “She's an exceptionally talented person in many different spaces. Following her split from ex-fiancé Dale Moss, Clare Crawley has seemingly moved on with another Bachelorette alum: Blake Monar. "A safe man comes into your life & loves you correctly," the 40-year-old California native's cryptic Instagram Story message read on Friday, January 28. The reposted quote continued: "No sneaky stuff. No half love. No extra females. No inconsistency. Just you and only you, sis." While Crawley did not further elaborate on her social media message, she was photographed with Monar, 31, several hours earlier. "Worlds worse carpool karaoke [sic] duo @clarecrawley," the StatumStyle founder shared via his Instagram Story on Thursday, January 27, alongside a clip of the twosome belting We Three's "Half Hearted" in the car. In a second clip, Monar posted a video of the former Bachelorette grooving to another track, writing, "We have a lyrical dancer on our hands." The Bachelor Winter Games alum and the Arizona native first sparked dating rumors after they were spotted together earlier this month. "Went for business, left with the most unexpected remarkable memories! The cast of Nancy Drew's love lives might be complicated onscreen, but off screen, many of the stars have found a forever partner. Fans have been hooked on the CW series since its 2019 premiere — partially because of the ghost encounters and haunting mysteries, but also because of the cast's sexual chemistry and complicated romances. As Horseshoe Bay's resident teen sleuth Nancy Drew (Kennedy McMann) puts her detective skills to the test each week, her relationship ups and downs make her more relatable. Nancy fell for Ned "Nick" Nickerson (played by Tunji Kasim) early on in the series before romancing a few other locals. Nick eventually moved on from the redhaired detective and found love with George Fan (Leah Lewis). Chrishell Stause‘s split from Justin Hartley came as a shock to many — including the Selling Sunset star — but she’s learned to grow in the years since. In November 2019, Us Weekly confirmed that Hartley filed for divorce from Stause after two years of marriage. The reality star, who started dating the This Is Us actor in 2013, tearfully discussed her breakup during season 3 of Selling Sunset. "I found out because he text[ed] me that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew," she claimed during a 2020 episode of the Netflix series. "Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers, and I f—king want answers. I know people are saying we were only married two years, but it's like, we were together for six years.” The real estate agent explained that there wasn’t room for the pair to work out their issues, adding, “In a fight, like, that’s his go-to. Like, ‘I’m out, I’m out.’ I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought: ‘That’s an issue, we’ll work through it.’ If [divorce is] really what you wanted, there are better ways to go about it.” Us broke the news in January 2021 that the pair finalized their divorce. Several celebrity couples took their love to the next level in 2022 by getting engaged. Josh Duhamel popped the question to Audra Mari in January after two years of dating. The actor was previously married to Fergie from 2009 to 2019, and the exes share son Axl, whom they welcomed in August 2013. "They are both really good people and committed to their son, but they are too different to make it work," a source told Us Weekly in September 2017 shortly after the duo confirmed their split. Fergie opened up in October 2017 about calling it quits with Duhamel. "It wasn't my plan," she said on The Wendy Williams Show at the time. "I wanted to stay married forever." A year later, the Las Vegas alum hinted at his desire to remarry. "I want to have more kids in the next few years. So it's more about finding someone young enough to have kids," he explained on the "Armchair Expert" podcast in December 2018. "It's not as if I'm out there just trying to f–k anything. Lana Condor and her boyfriend, Anthony De La Torre, are engaged after six years of dating. The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star, 24, announced the news on Friday, January 28, by sharing a series of photos taken during the big moment. “Saying YES was the easiest decision I've ever made,” she wrote via Instagram. “I consider myself the absolute luckiest woman alive to live in your sphere. Aside from my father, without a doubt, you are the greatest man in the world.” The X-Men: Apocalypse actress went on to joke that the couple’s dogs, Emmy and Timmy, thought it was “about time” their parents got engaged. While Kristen Stewart and Nicole Kidman hopped on a virtual call to discuss their film careers and their longtime bond, the Twilight star's pets nearly stole the show. "I was playing the most lonely woman [in Spencer] and I was so accompanied," Stewart, 31, explained during a conversation with Kidman, 54, on Thursday, January 27, for Variety's Actors on Actors series. "I had my friends with me, saying, like, 'We've got you, babe.' So it allows you to go deeper and sort of feel the isolation in a more meaningful way." As the California native started diving deeper into her acting approach to play the late Princess Diana in the 2021 film, her dog could be heard bellowing for attention in the background. "You motherf—ker," Stewart exclaimed amid her pet's interruption as the Big Little Lies alum started laughing. Kidman teased: "You have to leave that in there." Stewart's dog wasn't the only animal companion that acted up during the conversation. Earlier in the footage, her cat also sought the spotlight. "OK, wait before we jump in," the Charlie's Angel actress said, going on to address Dylan Meyer, her fiancée. "Hey, Dylan? Are you going to feed that cat? … Yeah, it's more than meowing, like, if she felt like she was talking to me, I'd be into it but she begins to scream at a certain point. No." The unexpected appearances of Stewart's pets soon caught the attention of several animal-loving Twitter users, with one joking, "The dog just need a little screen time." Another added, "She's so cute." From the earliest days of the United States government, presidents have brought furry friends along to the White House. While many U.S. leaders have kept their pets to the traditional cat or dog, politicians dating back to the 1700s owned more exotic companions, like horses, bear cubs and parrots. As time went on, presidents’ animal friends became as revered as the candidates themselves. Ahead of his first presidential election win in 2008, Barack Obama promised daughters Malia and Sasha that they could get a dog if his campaign came out on top. “I love you both more than you can imagine. You have earned the puppy that is coming with us!” he teased during his victory speech in Chicago’s Grant Park in November 2008. The Obamas brought home Bo, a Portuguese water dog, in April 2009. Months after his second inauguration in January 2013, the former Senator and his family added Sunny to the mix. When the Obama family moved out of the White House in early 2017, the former first dogs had to get acquainted with the way everyday pets live. “They’re just now going to the door when the doorbell rings,” Michelle Obama joked during a December 2018 talk at Barclay’s Center in New York City. “It’s taken them two years. During an Iowa campaign event in 2019, Joe said their second puppy came along at the perfect time. “My vet said, ‘Your shepherd’s 12 years old. He’s getting slow. The best thing to keep him going is [to] get another little puppy,'” the president-elect recalled, joking that his elder dog “thinks he’s Secret Service.” The Bidens confirmed in June 2021 that their dog Champ died at age 13. "Our hearts are heavy today,” the twosome wrote in a statement at the time. "Even as Champ’s strength waned in his last months, when we came into a room, he would immediately pull himself up, his tail always wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub. Dolores Catania and David Principe have split since viewers last saw them on The Real Housewives of New Jersey — but their time together will still be explored throughout season 12. “We haven’t really spoken. I know what I signed up for and when something in your life changes, it’s only fair to everyone to share it with them, you know?” Dolores, 51, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, January 27, about preparing to watch the end of their romance on screen. “And I’ve always been very honest with everything — from plastic surgery to my relationship with [my ex-husband] Frank and my relationship with the girls.” The Bravo personality noted that it was “really hard” to go through a breakup while in the middle of filming because she isn’t “an outwardly emotional person” in her day-to-day life. “I internalize things. I go off in a room, I hide alone until I’m over it. It’s only recently that I’ve shared my feelings with girlfriends,” she added. “This is new to me in the past seven years of being on the show. That’s something that’s changed about me is being a girl’s girl.” Dolores also reflected on how things between her and David have changed since filming wrapped, saying, “[It was] time to move on and it was not for any reason. I’m sure he has nothing bad to say about me. I have nothing bad to say about him, but it was just time.” After they begun dating in 2017, the philanthropist’s relationship with David was a major topic of conversation on RHONJ, with Dolores’ costars often wondering whether there was an engagement in their future. In December 2021, however, a source revealed to Us that the duo “broke up this past summer” because they were going in different directions. “There was no bad blood between them,” the insider explained at the time, adding that RHONJ star didn’t care about being proposed to while they were together. “She gave her all but didn’t get the same from David. He was non-existent in her social life and rarely made appearances at events with her. They just had different lives and weren’t able to make it work.
