'No Regrets'! Bob Saget's Wife Kelly Speaks Out After Emotional Funeral Posted: 15 Jan 2022 06:02 PM PST ![]() Remembering her love. Kelly Rizzo spoke out for the first time since Bob Saget‘s funeral, and she remembered her late husband with a heartfelt tribute. “My sweet husband. After much reflection this week, I'm trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time,” the 42-year-old shared via Instagram on Saturday, January 15. “But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH. I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years.” Saget was first married to high school sweetheart Sherri Kramer — with whom he shared daughters Lara, Jennifer and Aubrey — from 1982 to 1997. Saget had been single for more than a decade when he asked Rizzo on a date in 2015 and the two fell in love, getting married in 2018. The Full House star’s tragic death at age 65 earlier this month brought their happily ever after to an abrupt halt. However, the food blogger emphasized that they really experienced true love in their too-brief marriage. “We had that time to make each other the happiest we'd ever been and change each other's lives forever,” she added. “I got to be the one to love him and cherish him. He deserves all the love. Every ounce of it. Because that's how amazing Bob was. He was love. If you were in his life you KNEW he loved you. He never missed an opportunity to tell you.” Though Rizzo was clearly grieving at Saget’s funeral — where she wore a wedding band on her necklace — in Los Angeles on Friday, January 14, she maintained an optimistic outlook. “I have no regrets,” she explained. “We loved each other so damn much and told each other 500 times every day. Constantly. I know how much he loved me until the very last moment and he knew the same. I'm so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that.” There has been an outpouring of tributes to Saget since he was found dead in a Florida hotel room on Sunday, January 9 (officials do not suspect foul play). Comedians ranging from Dave Chapelle to Pete Davidson have shared heartfelt messages, and friends have stepped up to help Rizzo where they can. John Mayer and Jeff Ross helped bring the late performer’s car back to his widow. Marc Maron, Jimmy Kimmel and Judd Apatow were among the many mourners at his funeral, which was “a perfect goodbye,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. ![]() Calling the Raising Dad star “a force,” Rizzo continued, “I'm sure every one of you out there, whether you knew him or not, was in awe of the enormous outpouring of love and tribute for this special man. It was like nothing anyone has ever seen. I am so appreciative for the kindness and support from loved ones and strangers. Everyone loves Bob and everyone wants to make sure I'm ok. And for that, I'm eternally grateful.” Saget’s widow added that her late husband “had so much more he wanted to do and so much more love to give,” and she’ll do her best to work toward his goals. “To the best of my ability, it will be my mission to share how amazing he was with the world, and try in some small way to keep spreading his message of love and laughter,” she wrote before lightheartedly adding that she draws the line at trying standup comedy. “I also want to keep sharing how important the Scleroderma Research Foundation was to him. I just want to make him proud. And to his girls, I will love you all with all my heart, always.” She signed off with a message directly to the late actor: “Honey, I love you more than anything, forever.” |
Jamie Lynn Begs Britney to 'Privately' Call Her: 'This Is Embarrassing' Posted: 15 Jan 2022 04:15 PM PST For the record. Britney Spears spoke out amid her feud with Jamie Lynn Spears to share a message with her younger sister, and the writer hopes they can settle this privately. “Britney — Just call me, I have attempted many times to speak to you directly and handle this privately like sisters should, but you still choose to do everything on a public platform,” the 30-year-old shared via her Instagram Story on Saturday, January 15. Jamie Lynn continued, writing, “In the meantime, please stop continuing the narrative that I haven’t been there for you or that I’m making things up. I’m happy to share how many times I’ve reached out to you, supported you and tried to help you. This is embarrassing and has to stop. Love you.” ![]() The message came hours after Britney, 40, shared another open letter to her little sister via Twitter. "Jamie Lynn … I don’t think your book is about me at all … I said some harsh things because you obviously hurt me by the things you are making up about me," she wrote. The “Toxic” singer was referring to her Thursday, January 13, message in response to the Zoey 101 alum’s ABC News interview. Jamie Lynn was promoting her upcoming memoir, Things I Should Have Said, out Tuesday, January 18, which includes allegations about her famous sibling’s “erratic” behavior. Britney initially responded that Jamie Lynn “never had to work for anything” and claimed her younger sister was “never around me much 15 years ago,” hinting that Jamie Lynn couldn’t properly comment on her behavior. On Friday, the Grammy Award winner released another statement via Twitter about the Sweet Magnolias star’s allegations that Britney once locked them both in a bathroom with a knife. “NOW and only NOW do I know only a scum person would make up such things about someone," Britney continued at the time. The singer backtracked some of her digs at Jamie Lynn in Saturday’s letter, but she continued to deny her sister’s recollections. "When I said only a scum person would make up things like that about someone, I could have sworn I said 'but you're not' … but it doesn't make sense at all to me what you are saying,” Britney continued. “I know you worked hard for the life you have and you have done amazing!!!! But I think we would both have to agree to the fact that the family has never been remotely as hard on you as they have been on me!!!" The “Lucky” songstress was put into her conservatorship — giving her father Jamie Spears legal control over her person and finances — in 2008 when Jamie Lynn was 17. The teen gave birth to daughter Maddie, now 13, later that year. The conservatorship was brought to an end in November 2021. "What Dad did to me, they don't even do that to criminals … so for you to sit back and act completely aloof to what has happened to me is honestly insane to me !!!" Britney wrote, adding that she was forced to go to rehab for four months. "I'm honestly shocked Dad isn't in jail!!! Come on!!! We are supposed to have each other's back … but what you're saying just truly confuses me!!!" Britney continued by telling the former Nickelodeon star that she just wants to keep this out of the public eye. "All I know is I love you unconditionally!!! So go ahead and say whatever you want … it's so tacky for a family to fight publicly like this!!! You say you love me … yet your loyalty is still with the people that hurt me most!!!" the engaged singer added. ![]() She continued, adding that "the thing that saddens me the most” was Jamie Lynn allegedly taking “days to respond” to Brit’s calls from rehab. “I needed you … my family, my blood and your support more than anything!!!" the mother of two added. Eventually, both Jamie Lynn and older brother Bryan Spears stepped in to check on the pop star. "You guys did absolutely nothing UNTIL a year ago,” the Las Vegas performer wrote. “I said something on Instagram and you and Bryan showed up at my house … because of an Instagram post!!!” She told the songwriter to “say whatever you want to say just know I do know your real heart more than anyone!!!” She added that Jamie Lynn “deserve[s] a beautiful life.” Britney concluded, “I wish I would be able to do what you're doing and do interviews!!! I'm scared of all of it … I admire you for being strong … just know I love you and I think you know that already more than anything!" |
1st Trip Together! Nayte Takes Fiancee Michelle Home to Canada Posted: 15 Jan 2022 02:25 PM PST From roses to happily ever after! As soon as Nayte Olukoya stepped out of the limo to vie for Michelle Young‘s heart, viewers could tell there was something special between him and the season 18 Bachelorette. Nayte received the first impression rose during the October 2021 premiere of the ABC show, and he later said he didn’t understand the significance of the gesture at the time. “Obviously, you can assume that it’s just who Michelle [Young] had a really good first impression of, right?” he said on an episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast that same month. “But, like, the world of Bachelor Nation? I didn’t have a clue.” While sparks continued to fly between the pair, the Minnesota native found herself falling in love with runner-up Brandon Jones as well. After revealing in the December 2021 finale that she was “in love with them both,” the teacher was forced to face her feelings for her remaining two suitors. “They have given me everything that I’ve asked for and tomorrow is going to be the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” she explained during a confessional in the emotional episode. After Brandon and Nayte each chose Neil Lane engagement rings, the former Bachelor contestant turned down the Texas native’s proposal, noting, "It's not that I don't love you, because I do. It's just that my heart is pushing me in a different direction and I have to go with what I feel and it hurts so much because you are this unbelievable person.” Michelle later reflected on her instant connection with her now-fiancé after he got down on one knee. "This has not necessarily been a smooth ride, but I’m also not willing to face that fear of walking away from this without you," she shared. "Because I have never felt a love like this before. And I love you with my entire heart and don’t ever want to think about waking up next to anyone besides you and doing life with anyone besides you. And at the end, I wanted to be standing in front of my soulmate and he is definitely standing right in front of me." During the live After the Final Rose special, Michelle opened up about how much closer the couple became after they finished filming the reality series. "I think what’s so hard is that you go through this experience and you have these magical moments, and you leave, like, in love, but then you spend so much more time together. You get to text, FaceTime, talk to each other’s families come and get significantly closer," she said in December 2021. "I think the biggest thing is we communicate through everything. And it doesn’t always have to be this perfect communication but we both know we’re going to stick in it. We are going to not let go. We are going to hold on, and that is the biggest part. Because it is not easy. There’s going to be uncomfortable emotions, and we definitely had them." Nayte, for his part, candidly discussed his love for Michelle as fans got to see them take the next step in their relationship. “Michelle, ever since September 9th, 2021, when I got on one knee to ask you to spend the rest of our lives together, it has been an absolute dream come true,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post at the time. “There will inevitably be ups and downs, just like any other strong relationship. But I don't care if it's tomorrow, 5 years from now, or 50 years from now. I plan on always giving you my full effort and working through life with you.” Scroll down to relive Michelle and Nayte’s sweet romance: ![]() The Canada native stood out from the start of Michelle's Bachelorette journey, receiving the first impression rose and the first kiss of the 18th season. During an interview on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast in October 2021, Nayte admitted that he didn't expect to reach both milestones, noting, "I'm not a smooth individual." Although the contestant wasn't "expecting" a kiss so soon, he said it was an "ever happy" moment for him. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Amid concerns that Nayte was not ready to get married, the account executive set the record straight on the “Click Bait” podcast in December 2021, saying, “When Michelle's asking me, like, ‘There’s one thing between being in love with somebody or falling in love with somebody, and then an engagement,' what I was trying to say in that moment was, ‘I don't have all the answers. I don't know what life is going to look if you and I [were] to leave this bubble.’” He added: "All I knew is that I trust myself, like, I trust that I'm falling in love with you, I'm trusting that I seriously want to be with you. And I don't have all the answers. … I’m not the perfect answer guy who's going to tell you everything you want to hear." Michelle, for her part, explained that there was more to Nayte than met viewers' eyes. “When Nayte just stepped out of the limo, he was just very confident — but he didn't have that overconfidence. He was still nervous,” she excluslveiy told Us Weekly while her season aired. “I was nervous as well. Through the season, [I've] always enjoyed peeling back different layers, and, at the moment in the season, I’m really, truly figuring out just how many layers he has.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() After sending Brandon packing, Michelle said yes to Nayte's proposal, calling him her “person.” Nayte, for his part, gushed: “Michelle, the very first night I met you, I knew right then and there that we had a connection that I wanted to hold on to. The second night that we were together, we talked about running away together. I’m standing in front of you right now and the feelings are the same. I want to run away with you. I want to run away to forever with a woman that I've come to love this amazingly, crazy, wow kind of love. And through this journey, you've shared a lot of vulnerable sides of your past and I know that you've felt unseen at times and I want to let you know that I am completely prepared, willing and ready to make sure that you are always chosen first, seen now, today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives. I love you, Michelle.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() During the After the Final Rose special, Michelle’s mom, Lavonne Young, responded to the assumption that she favored Brandon over her future son-in-law. “We are in love with Nayte. Absolutely in love with Nayte,” she told host Kaitlyn Bristowe in December 2021. “You know, Michelle, I don't know if she's told you, but she shared one of the texts that you sent her, and I won't say — but it was beautiful. It was so heartwarming. It was so — it made me cry.” Nayte’s mother, also revealed that she and Lavonne were in contact "after each episode" aired. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Nayte took to social media to call out "the edit" that his relationship received throughout season 18 after viewers watched him pop the question on screen. "Thank you for seeing past what people have always seemed to get stuck on when it comes to me. My whole life people have taken one look at me and thought they had me all figured out," he captioned an Instagram post in December 2021. "Maybe it’s the tattoos and piercings. Maybe it’s the way I carry myself. Maybe it’s as silly as my height or as ignorant as the color of my skin. Maybe it’s how awful I am at expressing myself or how gosh darn awkward I almost always am." The Bachelorette contestant credited his fiancée for embracing his true identity, despite fans' opinions that he was a "walking red flag." He continued, "But you, Michelle, you saw me for me from the very first night, and I will always always always love and appreciate you for that." He concluded: "All in all, Michelle, you’re all I see, you’re all I’ve ever wanted, and you’re all I’ll ever want. Thank you for being you and thank you for being the one to unlock my hearts potential. I can’t get enough of living this dream come true with you." ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Following the conclusion of her journey, Michelle addressed why her love story didn't need to be "perceived as perfect" to others. "As long as it’s perfect for you and me," she wrote in a lengthy tribute to her fiancé via Instagram in December 2021. "You’ve quickly become the pep in my step, The reason I smile through hard days. I love the way you love, You make me feel beautiful in so many ways." The reality star noted that although they have "no idea what’s in life’s plan," she was "incredibly at peace" having Nayte by her side. Courtesy of Michelle Young/Instagram ![]() Michelle and Nayte kicked off the new year by sharing several silly snaps and revealing that they sometimes share a toothbrush. “For those asking … Definitely my toothbrush. Had to snap the milestone in our relationship,” he wrote via Instagram Stories alongside a snap of Michelle brushing her teeth. You just make it work." He added at the time: "I think that's the goal of it all and the key to it all is just making the time. [Nina’s] super organized and on top of it, so I give it to her. Lori Loughlin 'Feels Violated' After Robbery: $1M in Jewelry Allegedly Stolen Posted: 15 Jan 2022 12:52 PM PST ![]() An emotional ordeal. Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were victims of a home burglary earlier this month, Us Weekly confirms. "The family weren't at home when the intruders broke in, but Lori still feels violated by what happened," a source exclusively tells Us of the 57-year-old Full House alum. "It was a very emotional day for her." While neither the couple — who wed in November 1997 — nor their daughters — Bella, 23, and Olivia Jade Giannulli, 22 — were at their Los Angeles residence at the time of the incident on January 3, thieves allegedly entered the property by smashing a bedroom window and took nearly $1 million worth of jewelry. TMZ was first to report the news on Saturday, January 15. Days before the When Calls the Heart alum's burglary made headlines, she opened up about the loss of her former Full House costar Bob Saget, who died on January 9 at the age of 65. "Words cannot begin to express how devastated I am," the New York native told Us in a statement on Monday, January 10. "Bob was more than my friend; he was my family. I will miss his kind heart and quick wit. Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories and laughter. I love you, Bobby." Loughlin and the fashion designer, 58, were both photographed at Saget's emotional funeral service on Friday, January 14, alongside several of her other former costars, including Candace Cameron Bure, John Stamos and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Loughlin and Saget both reprised their beloved TV roles on Netflix's Fuller House revival upon its February 2016 premiere. However, she left the show early after being indicted in the nationwide college admissions scandal in March 2019. The Summerland alum and her husband each plead guilty to counts of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. They were accused of paying bribes to secure their daughters' admission into the University of Southern California. The 90210 alum served a two-month jail stint, which was completed in December 2020, while her husband wrapped up his five-month sentence in April 2021. Nearly one year later, Loughlin returned to her TV roots as she reprised her WCTH role of Abigail Stanton on its GAC Family spinoff, When Hope Calls. (She was initially written off the Hallmark period drama in March 2019 amid the scandal.) "Lori can't wait to get back to work, she has been waiting a long time to get back on set," an insider told Us in September 2021, while confirming her role on the GAC series. "Lori is looking forward to the future and is ready to get back to filming When Hope Calls." With reporting by James Robertson |
LOL! Why Everything Eli Manning Does ‘Annoys’ Big Brother Peyton Posted: 15 Jan 2022 12:25 PM PST Life of brothers. Eli Manning and his older brother, Peyton Manning, are equally talented football players, though that doesn’t mean they are immune to sibling squabbles. "Being the little brother, I think everything I do annoys him, that’s just kind of the way it is," Eli, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, January 13, while promoting his Frito-Lay and PepsiCo Beverages partnership and their "NFL Playoff" campaign. "And I got used to it, just being in that situation any time I’m in the room, and he’s in there, like whatever I’m doing’s gonna annoy him: If I’m not watching the game, if I’m watching too closely, if I’m sitting too close to the TV, if I’m drinking my Pepsi too loud, if I'm eating my Lays and rustling the paper; everything annoys the big brother." The Louisiana native costars with the former Denver Broncos player, 45, in their joint "Road to Super Bowl" commercial. In the TV spot, there's a scene between the two brothers that mimicked their upbringing. "So, I think that opening scene [of] just us on the couch, I mean, that was not scripted. That was just like, written, ‘You on the couch, annoying each other, get to work. What, what would happen at this?’'' Eli recalled to Us. "[We thought,] 'This is every day, we can do this.’" The former New York Giants quarterback — who announced his retirement in January 2020 — detailed how their bond has evolved since they both left the NFL. "Well, I think I’m more newly retired than he, so I hope I can throw [a pass] better than him, but who knows?" Eli quipped. "I don’t think anyone wants to see that right now. It’s just been fun [working together on the commercial].” The retired athlete added that he and Peyton “never really worked together on anything,” and this commercial provided an opportunity to do some brotherly bonding. ![]() “It’s just been a lot of fun and, have a reason [to get] together,” Eli explained. “He lives in Denver [and] I live in New Jersey. We don’t always get to see each other. So this is a time where we do get to see each other and hang out. … It's a mix of kind of talking football and kind of getting off the subject and just talking about life." The Manning brothers teamed up with the three other former Super Bowl champs — Jerome Bettis, Victor Cruz and Terry Bradshaw — for the new campaign, which sees the fivesome attempt to organize a bus ride to the big game. "It was obviously a lot of fun, and I think the theme of [the TV spot is] just kind of [being] that road to the Super Bowl," Eli said of his partnership. “This time of year is so exciting for fans, [and] obviously for the players that are playing." While the father of four said he was “having a lot of fun” shooting with the other athletes, they all had one difficult hurdle: learning lyrics. "You know, singing 'Good 4 U' by Olivia Rodrigo was challenging — having to learn those words and do everything,” he noted. “If you could have seen the B-roll on some of that — [footage] of us going through those and practicing on our own singing — that song would’ve been pretty funny." The "Road to Super Bowl" campaign airs on television from Super Wild Card Weekend through Championship Sunday. With reporting by Christina Garibaldi |
Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles’ Relationship Timeline Posted: 15 Jan 2022 11:00 AM PST From coworkers to so much more! Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles took fans by surprise with their whirlwind romance, which began when they met on the set of Don't Worry Darling. The duo made headlines when they were photographed holding hands at Styles’ manager’s wedding in January 2021. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that the twosome sparked a connection when they started working together. “Harry and Olivia had chemistry almost instantaneously on set," the insider said. "It was only a matter of time before they got together.” Wilde’s romance with the British singer came two months after she split from fiancé Jason Sudeikis and three months after Styles joined her film. Sudeikis and the Booksmart director, who were together for over a decade, share two children: son Otis and daughter Daisy. When reports of the relationship first emerged, a source told Us that Styles was not the reason for the House alum's split from the Ted Lasso star. “Harry did not break up an engagement,” the source said. Although Styles didn’t come inbetween Wilde and Sudeikis, the new couple still tried to keep their relationship quiet on set in the beginning. “Olivia and Harry were able to keep their relationship under wraps for a bit before it became public knowledge,” an insider told Us in January 2021. “They were very careful about it and even sleuthy at times, although the small group of people who were on set with them every day eventually figured it out.” The psychological thriller, which revolves around a housewife in the 1950s, also stars Florence Pugh, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne and Nick Kroll. After filming wrapped in February 2021, Wilde joined Styles in London, where they enjoyed some time to themselves. “People tend to respect people’s privacy in London, so they probably feel comfortable walking around by themselves and don’t feel like they need a bodyguard,” an insider told Us in April 2021. The duo were “spotted at local pubs” during their London getaway. “They were walking close to each other and had their arms linked together,” added an insider, who bumped into the duo on one of their casual strolls. “They seemed very couply and cuddly with one another.” Scroll down to relive Styles and Wilde’s unexpected romance: ![]() Styles was cast in Don’t Worry Darling as Pugh’s husband. Celebs With Secret Social Media Accounts: Kylie Jenner, Beyonce and More Posted: 15 Jan 2022 10:00 AM PST Secret identities! It’s not unusual for celebrities to have public social media accounts for their fans — and private ones for their friends. The Kardashian sisters are all super-active on Instagram, but according to Kourtney Kardashian, there’s more going on behind the scenes that fans don’t get to see. During a June 2019 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the Poosh founder revealed that her younger sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner have finstas, or fake Instagrams. Kourtney revealed the names of her sisters’ secret accounts on the show, but the intrepid editors at KUWTK censored them. While live-tweeting the episode, Khloé Kardashian noted that she also had an undercover account, but she couldn’t see the appeal. “Kourtney made me a Finsta when we were drunk and I’ve only used it once,” she wrote at the time. “To me, it’s pointless.” While some celebrities use their secret social media accounts to share private photos with their inner circle, others give their alternative profiles a theme. In 2017, Lorde was outed as the mastermind behind Onion Rings Worldwide, an Instagram solely devoted to reviewing onion rings at restaurants around the globe. During a June 2017 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the “Solar Power” singer confirmed the she was the appetizer connoisseur who made the page. “I sort of naively didn’t realize it would be, like, a thing that I was going to different places and trying the onion rings at each of those places,” she explained. “I feel like it reads like the kind of thing that a pop star would do to, like, look relatable.” The Grammy winner added that the account started as a “funny thing” she and her friends thought of while on tour. “I was like, ‘This is a good pastime,'” she joked before noting that she deleted it after just four posts. “I just felt like it was, like, ‘Now everyone knows about it,’ and … people are gonna be throwing onion rings at me on tour, and it’s gonna, like, turn into a whole thing. It was fun for, like, five seconds, but I’m still gonna keep eating onion rings.” Eventually, however, the pull of fried onions proved to be too strong, because Lorde reinstated Onion Rings Worldwide in December 2020. “Don't call it a crumb back,” she wrote alongside a photo of two golden rings. Jamie Lynn Spears Shares Cryptic Post About ‘Truth’ Amid Britney's Claims Posted: 15 Jan 2022 09:01 AM PST ![]() The feud continues? Amid Britney Spears and younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears' recent battle of words, the Sweet Magnolias star is seemingly addressing the drama with a curious message. "Nobody trashes your name more than someone who's afraid you'll tell people the truth," Jamie Lynn, 30, shared via Instagram Story on Friday, January 14. While the All That alum did not further explain her cryptic social media message, it came hours after she and the 40-year-old "Stronger" songstress went toe-to-toe with allegations about their relationship over the years. ![]() While promoting her upcoming Things I Should Have Said memoir during a Wednesday, January 12, appearance on Nightline, Jamie Lynn alleged that the Mickey Mouse Club alum was "erratic, paranoid [and] spiraling" before the 13-year conservatorship was instated in 2008, even getting in her face and locking them in a room while she was armed with a knife. "Jamie Lynn … congrats babe! You've stooped to a whole new level of LOW," Britney, tweeted hours earlier on Friday, refuting the allegations. "I've never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such!!! The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I ever saw in my life and it was way too big for me to cut." After Britney's claims regarding the sisters' distanced relationship, Jamie Lynn fired back with a lengthy statement of her own. "Last thing I want to be doing is this, but here we are … It's hard to see these posts, as I know the world also feels. I just wish her well," the Zoey 101 alum wrote via Instagram later on Friday. "Brit, I am always here, you know behind the scenes I have always been here. It's become exhausting when conversations and texts we have in private don't match what you post on social media. I know you're going through a lot and I never want to diminish that, but I also can't diminish myself." Jamie Lynn continued in her post: "Now it's getting harder for me to rationalize to my oldest daughter [Maddie] why our family continues to get death threats, as a result of their aunt's vague and accusatory posts, especially when we know she could tell the truth, and put an end to all of it in one second if she wanted to." The Crossroads actress, for her part, has continually denied what her sister has claimed, noting she was telling "lies" for the sake of selling more books. "NOW and only NOW do I know only a scum person would make up such things about someone … I'm actually very confused about you making that up because it's honestly not like you at all!!" Britney tweeted at the time. Amid the "Circus" performer's conservatorship legal battle — which was concluded in November 2021 in her favor — she has continued to assert that her family members, including her father, Jamie Spears, and her younger sister did not have her back in terms of supporting her freedom. Jamie Lynn was then accused by the Glee alum’s fans of not being supportive and staying silent. "Maybe I didn't support her the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you I've supported my sister long before there was a hashtag. And I'll support her long after. Note that," the former Nickelodeon star wrote in June 2021, shortly after Britney broke her silence during a court hearing. "I'm so proud of her for using her voice. I'm so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her to do many years ago. If ending the conservatorship or flying to Mars or whatever else she wants to do [will make her happy] — I support that, 100 percent. Because I support my sister. I love my sister. Always have, always will. As long as she's happy. Let's keep praying. That's all." |
Sinead O'Connor Hospitalized Following Suicidal Tweets Days After Son's Death Posted: 15 Jan 2022 08:06 AM PST Seeking help. After sharing a series of allegedly suicidal messages, Sinead O'Connor has been admitted to the hospital. The “Nothing Compares 2 U" songstress, 55, announced her forthcoming hospital stay via Twitter on Thursday, January 13. The messages have since been deleted from her page. The Ireland native's hospital stay announcement came hours after she shared a series of since-deleted concerning messages about taking her own life. “I’ve decided to follow my son [Shane O'Connor]. There is no point living without him. Everything I touch, I ruin. I only stayed for him. And now he’s gone," the Grammy nominee tweeted on Thursday, according to CNN. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I am with cops now on way to hospital. I’m sorry I upset everyone." She allegedly added at the time: “I am lost without my kid and I hate myself. Hospital will help a while. But I’m going to find Shane. This is just a delay.” ![]() Less than one week earlier, the musician announced that her 17-year-old son had died via a Twitter message. Shane had been reported missing in Newbridge, Ireland, several days earlier. "My beautiful son, Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God," the songstress wrote on January 7 in a since-deleted message. "May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace." At the time, she grieved her loss by dedicating Bob Marley's "Ride Natty Ride" to the late teenager, writing, "This is for my Shaney. The light of my life. The lamp of my soul. My blue-eye baby. You will always be my light. We will always be together. No boundary can separate us." Before O'Connor's Thursday hospital stay, she has been candid about her mental health struggles over the years, even attempting suicide multiple times in the past. "Sinead is safe and well," a spokesman at the Pearse Street Garda Station in Dublin, Ireland, told Us Weekly in November 2015 after the singer posted a disturbing note via Facebook. ![]() "The last two nights have finished me off," the "Feel So Different" performer wrote at the time. "I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name. There is only so much a woman can be expected to bear. … After everything I've been put through, and been forced to go through alone, they wouldn't know if I was dead until weeks from now. Apparently, I'm scum. Well done guys, you've finally got rid of me. Sorry the penny didn't drop sooner. I'm an idiot. Everyone is better off. Never do this to a woman again." Many of the stars were photographed entering the funeral home on Friday, January 14. Stamos, 58, and Coulier, 62, even served as pallbearers during the procession. "There were lots of tears, of course, but so much laughter too. It was a perfect goodbye to Bob," a source exclusively told Us Weekly about the service. "Now, there is a celebration of life memorial at [Full House creator] Jeff Franklin's house." Us previously confirmed that Saget's family would host a private memorial on Friday. The Grandfathered alum, for his part, had hinted at how difficult the service would be. "Today will be the hardest day of my life. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference," Stamos tweeted at the time. Several other of the Dirty Daddy author's famous pals were in attendance, including John Mayer and Dave Chappelle. The 48-year-old Chappelle's Show alum also teased his attendance one day earlier. "Tomorrow I'm going to go lay my comrade to rest," Chappelle said during a Thursday, January 13, comedy set. "Listen, I'm getting old, so a lot of people I know die … "I'm just saying this to remind you: These moments are precious." The Raising Dad alum died on Sunday, January 9, at the age of 65. "We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today," the Pennsylvania native's family said via a statement at the time. "He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter." After news of Saget's death broke, several of his former Full House and Fuller House castmates shared their emotional condolences and memories. "Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man,” the Olsen twins, both 35, said in a statement on Monday, January 10. “We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has. We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences." Meanwhile, Cameron Bure— who played DJ Tanner — shared multiple emotional Instagram tributes to her longtime TV dad. "We are all family, but you were the glue. The sticky, messy, squishy, sweet, lovable glue," The Christmas Contest star, 45, wrote in one somber message. "My childhood is wrapped up in you, my formative teenaged years and the rest of adulthood. You taught me to feel deeply at such a young age. You were never afraid or ashamed to share your emotions, to cry, to love, to laugh and say it out loud. … You weren't just like a father, but one of my closest friends in life. This hurts like nothing I've ever felt before. I love you, I love you, I love you." Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s Official Relationship Timeline Posted: 15 Jan 2022 07:00 AM PST An unexpected romance. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's relationship may have shocked fans in 2021, but the pair haven't slowed down in 2022. The Keeping Up With the Kardashian alum was first linked to the Saturday Night Live star in October 2021, eight months after she filed for divorce from Kanye West. (The former couple, who wed in 2014, share daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm.) While Kardashian and Davidson were friendly over the years — he even called Kimye the "cutest couple" after attending Kid Cudi's birthday dinner with the spouses in 2019 — the KKW Beauty mogul bonded with the Set It Up actor when she hosted SNL. "He was a true professional the whole time they rehearsed and in between takes, but afterward things got flirty," a source told Us Weekly at the time. "They exchanged numbers and Pete asked if Kim would like to hang out sometime, which she agreed to straight away." Following a group Halloween outing, Kardashian and Davidson were spotted on a series of dinner dates. By mid-November 2021, an insider told Us that she was "falling for" him. "Everything flows well [when they're together]," the source said. As the duo heated up, West, meanwhile, made a series of public pleas to try to win Kardashian back. The rapper also alleged that he wasn't served with divorce papers. The Selfish author subsequently filed paperwork to be declared legally single amid divorce proceedings. "Pete is not worried about Kanye trying to get back with Kim," a source told Us in December 2021. "He's very laid-back and understanding. They're super smitten with each other." West, for his part, "absolutely despises Kim dating Pete," the source said. "He is so jealous." The Grammy winner has since been linked to Julia Fox. While sources said their relationship was platonic at the time, the duo were photographed holding hands on a roller-coaster, sparking romance rumors. The following day, they dined with friends at Zero Bond in Manhattan. Things proved to be heating up between the twosome when Kardashian helped Davidson celebrate his 28th birthday with her mom, Kris Jenner, and Flavor Flav. “The whole night, I was so honored to be in their presence,” the rapper told Entertainment Tonight about the get-together. One thing that I could say is Pete Davidson loves himself some Flavor Flav. Everything he does is, ‘Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that, Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that.’ So Kim said, ‘OK, well, for your birthday, you are going to have Flavor Flav.’ She sent for me and that’s how I ended up there. I was the birthday gift.” Courtesy of Flavor Flav/Instagram ![]() The couple continued to make headlines for various outings on the East Coast and West Coast through the remainder of 2021, turning heads when they went to the movies on Staten Island. “They're clearly not hiding their romance,” a source told Us at the time. “It seems like they want to just be able to do things any normal couple would do and have fun together." The vacation came days after a source told Us that things were “getting serious” between Kardashian and Davidson. “Things have definitely escalated quickly but in a healthy, fun way,” the source said. “Right now, they are just enjoying their time together and seeing where things go.” Shutterstock (2) |
Armie Hammer’s Most Controversial Moments Over the Years Posted: 15 Jan 2022 05:59 AM PST Armie Hammer is no stranger to controversy and backlash, having raised eyebrows for his questionable behavior and comments as far back as the early days of his career. The actor came under fire in January 2021 after multiple women took to social media to share screenshots of graphic direct messages that he had allegedly sent them. The DMs, which have not been verified, detailed domineering sexual fantasies ranging from rape to mutilation to cannibalism. Hammer called the screenshots "bulls–t" in a statement to TMZ in addition to slamming the "vicious and spurious online attacks" that caused his name to trend on Twitter for several days straight. In the midst of the scandal, he decided to step away from the movie Shotgun Wedding, in which he had been set to star alongside Jennifer Lopez. He cited spending more time with his children, Harper and Ford, whom he shares with estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers, as the reason for his exit. The alleged DMs were not the Call Me By Your Name star's first controversy, though. He previously made headlines for being outspoken on Twitter and Instagram as well as sharing TMI details during interviews. As a result of his online antics, Hammer was the subject of a number of op-eds since he broke through in the entertainment industry in 2010 with his portrayal of the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network. In November 2017, BuzzFeed made waves by publishing an article titled "Ten Long Years of Trying to Make Armie Hammer Happen," in which the website's senior culture writer Anne Helen Petersen wondered whether he was "truly a unique star who's finally finding his niche — or simply a beautiful, pedigreed white man who's been allowed, in a way that few others in Hollywood have, endless attempts to discover it." The Gossip Girl alum infamously called the journalist "bitter AF" after reading her viral story. He subsequently announced that he would be taking a break from Twitter, only to fan the flames with Petersen once more upon his return two months later. In May 2021, the J. Edgar star checked into a Florida rehab facility, according to a report from Vanity Fair. A friend of the Hammer family told the outlet at the time that the actor was “committed to getting healthy and having custody of his kids." Nearly seven months later, Us Weekly confirmed that the Mirror Mirror star checked out of the facility. "I can confirm that Mr. Hammer has left the treatment facility and is doing great," a lawyer for Hammer said in December 2021, without specifying when the actor checked out. Keep scrolling for a look back at some of Hammer’s most controversial moments: ![]() Seven-and-a-half years before the Rebecca star’s alleged DMs surfaced, he candidly spoke about his penchant for BDSM during an interview with Playboy. “I used to like to be a dominant lover. I liked the grabbing of the neck and the hair and all that. But then you get married and your sexual appetites change,” he said in June 2013, three years after tying the knot with Chambers. (The couple split in July 2020). “And I mean that for the better — it’s not like I’m suffering in any way. But you can’t really pull your wife’s hair. It gets to a point where you say, ‘I respect you too much to do these things that I kind of want to do.’” Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock ![]() Hammer tweeted in November 2017 that the chronology of the aforementioned BuzzFeed op-ed was “spot on,” though he felt the writer’s “perspective [was] bitter AF.” “Maybe I’m just a guy who loves his job and refuses to do anything but what he loves to do…?” he added. In February 2018, the movie star attempted to reignite the feud, telling Peterson via Twitter that she should “try meditating” or “even medicating” because her “glass seems chronically half empty.” Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock ![]() Countless celebrities and fans shared personal photos with Stan Lee in November 2018 after the legendary Marvel Comics writer’s death. Hammer was perplexed by the social media posts, sarcastically tweeting at the time that there was “no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself.” While the Golden Globe nominee later apologized for “inadvertently [offending] many who were genuinely grieving the loss of a true icon,” he reversed course in February 2019. “I do not feel badly for the people that I offended who met Stan Lee once and were capitalizing and masking self-promotion as false grief,” he told British GQ at the time. Shutterstock (2) ![]() Hammer grossed out many of his Instagram followers in July 2019 after sharing a video of his then-2-year-old son, Ford, sucking the actor’s toes. “This happened for a solid 7 minutes. #footfetishonfleek,” he captioned the post. Chambers joked from behind the camera that it was “not normal,” though she later assured fans that her “children’s safety and well-being is always our first priority.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() The On the Basis of Sex star was among the celebrities and social media influencers who received backlash in December 2019 for accepting all-expenses-paid trips to Saudi Arabia, which has had a history of human rights violations. The stars documented their stays via Instagram one year after journalist Jamal Khashoggi was assassinated at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Hammer raved that the trip was “truly special” but never publicly responded to the criticism. Shutterstock; Inset: Courtesy of Armie Hammer/Instagram ![]() After several women, including writer Jessica Ciencin Henriquez and model Paige Lorenze, shared disturbing allegations about Hammer’s social media and in-person conduct in January 2021, Us confirmed that he had exited the movie Shotgun Wedding. The California native later told TMZ, “I’m not responding to these bulls--t claims, but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.” Hammer dropped out of two TV series, Gaslit and The Offer, later that month. He moved out of his Los Angeles home in February 2021 after he and Chambers sold the seven-bedroom property for $4.7 million. Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock ![]() Hammer apologized to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe Committee in January 2021 after the Daily Mail published a video from his private Instagram account that showed a lingerie-clad woman in bed, whom he referred to as “Ms. Cayman.” In a statement to the Cayman Compass, he said, “I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman. I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humor may have caused. My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don’t know, and to the entire organization as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman.” S Meddle/ITV/Shutterstock ![]() Effie Angelova claimed during a March 2021 press conference with renowned women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred that the Straight White Men star had “violently raped [her] for over four hours” in L.A. in April 2017. “He repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face,” Angelova alleged, saying she “thought that he was going to kill” her. Hammer’s attorney denied the “outrageous allegations” in a statement, telling Us that the star “has maintained that all of his interactions with Ms. Angelova — and every other sexual partner of his for that matter — have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance.” The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed to Us that it was investigating the alleged incident.
