Clean slate. Bachelor Nation's Riley Christian wiped his ex-fiancée, Maurissa Gunn, from his social media accounts after confirming their split earlier this month.

The attorney, 32, changed his Facebook profile photo from an engagement snap to a solo shot on Tuesday, January 25, one day after the duo revealed they'd called off their engagement.

The season 16 Bachelorette contestant has also removed almost all signs of his relationship with Gunn, 25, from his Instagram account. There were no visible photos of Christian and Gunn on his grid as of Tuesday. He previously shared Christmas pajama pictures and engagement snaps on his page.

One snap of the duo from December 2021, however, remains hidden in a post of Christian taking in city views from a waterfront lookout point. The first snap is a solo image, but there is a second snap of the former couple cozied up together when fans scroll.

There are also a few clips of the New York native from his time on Bachelor in Paradise that include Gunn still on his profile.

The Georgia native, for her part, still had a photo from their engagement shoot as her Facebook profile picture on Tuesday. Gunn previously wiped most of her uploads with Christian from her Instagram account.

As of Tuesday, the patient care coordinator only had one post from her and Christian's relationship on the ABC reality series documented on social media.

The duo, who met while filming season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise during the summer of 2021, got engaged in June of that year, which fans watched play out on the October 2021 finale.

Three months later, the pair sparked split speculation when eagle-eyed fans noticed Gunn had removed several couple photos on her Instagram page. At the time, she still had their engagement photo shoot up, but their Christmas snaps from her visit to New York City were noticeably absent.

She was also seen without her engagement ring in an Instagram Story photo taken on January 7.

Christian, for his part, raised eyebrows with a few cryptic messages on social media that same month. "Try not be stagnant when facing obstacles that are beyond your control. Just do what you can," he tweeted on January 6. "That way, when things finally do fall into place, you'll be able to hit the ground running."

The former reality TV couple confirmed their breakup on Monday, January 24, telling People in a joint statement, "We have decided to go our separate ways. Never did we imagine this, but we've come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves."

BiP's Riley Christian and Maurissa Gunn: The Way They Were

Under the Mexican sun. Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian fell in love during season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise — and made history in the process.

Christian made his Bachelor Nation debut during season 16 of The Bachelorette, competing for Clare Crawley‘s heart in 2020. After the hairstylist got engaged to Dale Moss in week four, the lawyer stayed on as one of Tayshia Adams‘ suitors. The former phlebotomist sent him home in week nine before choosing Zac Clark as her winner.

Gunn, for her part, briefly appeared on Peter Weber‘s season of The Bachelor, which aired in early 2020. The pilot sent her home during the first rose ceremony.

When the patient care coordinator first arrived in Mexico for BiP, she initially hit it off with Connor Brennan, who originally competed on Katie Thurston‘s season of The Bachelorette. After Christian made his entrance in week two, however, Gunn’s romance with the musician quickly fizzled.

The attorney and the Atlanta resident connected right away, deciding to go to the boom-boom room after their first date. Though the move generated backlash among some viewers, Gunn wasn’t bothered by the critics.

"We got back to the beach and we wanted to continue our conversation. So, as two consenting adults, we went into the boom-boom room together, which is fine," she explained during a September 2021 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast. "The difference between my situation and other people's situation is that it's not on national TV and I'm not afraid to talk about it."

At the end of the season, the duo became one of three couples to get engaged during the finale along with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt and Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin-Solis. While many fans thought Gunn and Christian were a sure thing all along, the Montana native later told Us Weekly that she wasn’t convinced he was going to propose.

"The whole time we were standing there, I'm like, 'OK, well, I'm about to be embarrassed, we're about to walk out together,'” she said in October 2021.

Christian, for his part, said he knew he wanted to pop the question after the pair’s overnight date.

“I said [on the episode that] I had some things to, like, think about, which I did because I mean, having a family, being engaged is everything that I ever wanted," he told Us after the finale. "So obviously I want to take my time and make the decision, but, you know, it didn't take too much time. I thought about it. I got it out and it was game time."

When the duo decided to tie the knot, they became the first Black couple in the history of Bachelor in Paradise to get engaged.

Less than one year later, however, their love story came to an end. In January 2022, the pair confirmed in a joint statement that they decided to call it quits.

Nina Dobrev Is 'So Proud' of BF Shaun White Ahead of His 5th Olympics

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 04:12 PM PST

More than a summer fling! Nina Dobrev and Shaun White's whirlwind romance has gotten very serious, very quickly.

The Vampire Diaries alum and the professional snowboarder sparked dating rumors in February 2020 when fans noticed that they had shared similar photos from a trip to South Africa. One month later, they were photographed together for the first time during a bike ride in Malibu.

Us Weekly broke the news in April 2020 that Dobrev and White were, in fact, a couple. A source said at the time, "They're enjoying their time together and getting to know each other better. Nina really likes Shaun, and they both laugh a lot together."

The actress made their relationship Instagram official in May 2020 when she shared a photo of herself holding a pair of scissors while the athlete jokingly looked afraid. White later uploaded a video of Dobrev changing up his look, which he captioned, "My hairstylist said he wouldn't, so she did. #QuarantineCuts."

An insider exclusively revealed to Us at the time that the duo were "living together" amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "They're super compatible and both free-spirited people," the insider added. "They're very comfortable around each other and both supportive of one another in their fields."

Things heated up between Dobrev and White in August 2020 when they took a trip to Tulum, Mexico, where they were spotted getting cozy on a beach and in the water.

"Nina and Shaun have gotten really close during the quarantine and have been having the best time traveling together," a source exclusively told Us. "Shaun is super happy and loving life."

As the couple's romance has developed, they've become pros at balancing busy schedules and making time to see one another.

"We have a nice little system of how to stay in touch," White exclusively told Us Weekly about how the duo manages long-distance dating in October 2021. "Plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity that we can go see one another. So, I know during the holiday break, we're going to meet up, and we're going to meet up again probably around Christmas time. Anything that happens in between, then I'll jet over and see her. You just make it work."

He added at the time: "I think that's the goal of it all and the key to it all is just making the time. [Nina’s] super organized and on top of it, so I give it to her. She always finds a way to make it happen."

The Degrassi: The Next Generation alum previously dated her Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder from 2011 to 2013, Bridge of Spies actor Austin Stowell from 2015 to 2016 and former Scream Queens star Glen Powell for most of 2017. The Olympian, for his part, dated rock singer Sarah Barthel from 2014 to 2019.

Scheana Shay: Brock Bought My Ring With Multiple Credit Cards to Be 'Funny'

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 03:27 PM PST

Setting the record straight. Scheana Shay clarified the “incorrect” rumors about Brock Davies after fans questioned why he purchased her engagement ring with multiple credit cards on Vanderpump Rules.

“I like to correct people. If you don’t like me based on the correct information and full story, that’s fine,” Scheana, 36, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, January 24, while promoting season 9 of the Bravo series. “Brock thought it would be funny to put a little bit on each card. He could have put it all on one card, but he was like, ‘Oh, I’ll put a little bit on this a little bit on that.'”

The California native explained that Brock’s decision to split the cost was a joke that didn’t land with Vanderpump Rules viewers.

“I thought it was funny. People in Australia who get that cheap type of humor thought it was funny. He’s, like, ‘Yeah, I’ll always be a cheap ass. I’m always gonna ask for a discount.’ We will be at Target and Brock is like, ‘Oh, can I get my employee discount?’ It’s a joke,” Scheana detailed. “So people who don’t get his humor, whatever.”

The “Good as Gold” singer, who got engaged to the former rugby player in July 2021, raised eyebrows for the way her romance played out on screen. After Lala Kent claimed that Brock didn’t want to pay for Scheana’s engagement party, the Australia native shocked his costars with his decision to try to have a wedding ceremony during James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss‘ celebration.

“That was so misunderstood. It was never supposed to be on their property. We had this plan of like, ‘OK, if we could sneak off to a vineyard in Santa Barbara and, like, split off and everyone does activities and no one would know,” Scheana shared with Us, noting that she put a stop to the idea when she realized it would be at the Santa Ynez property. “Just the backlash of that and announcing it at the alpaca farm — I just wish it happened differently.”

Scheana’s made it clear that she and Brock were not attempting to tie the knot when James, 30, and Raquel, 27, were celebrating their engagement. The pair, who share 10-month-old daughter Summer Moon, later shared their canceled wedding plans with the group at the venue.

“I think what people don’t understand is our job is to tell our story when we’re filming. We were wrapping two days later. I had so many people message me and they’re like, ‘Why couldn’t you wait till next week to tell them?’ I’m, like, ‘Because we weren’t filming next week,'” the former SUR waitress said. “It’s not about camera time. It’s about completing my story as much as I could for season nine. So, we’re not just gonna get at engaged and then be like, ‘OK, we’re gonna be quiet until we’re done filming.’ That’s just not how it works.”

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic also created problems for the Vanderpump Rules stars as they filmed big life events throughout the season.

“[Viewers] think we were just trying to bank on James’s dime and piggyback,” Scheana told Us about the U.K. native, who has since ended his engagement to the model. “They’re, like, ‘You got engaged at their party.’ I’m, like, ‘No, I didn’t. If I recall, I got engaged in the privacy of my own home on my balcony. I happened to announce it to my friends at an alpaca farm.'”

The first part of the Vanderpump Rules season 9 reunion airs on Bravo Tuesday, January 25, at 9 p.m. ET. The special continues on Wednesday, January 26, at 9 p.m. ET.

Every Former Playmate Who's Spoken Out Against Hugh Hefner

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 02:58 PM PST

The truth behind the fantasy. The Playboy Mansion is the stuff of pop culture legend, but former Playmates have been brutally honest about what life was really like there — and how the late Hugh Hefner treated them.

Holly Madison was never technically a Playmate, but she did live with Hefner, who died in September 2017 at age 91, at the California estate from 2001 to 2008. She starred in the series The Girls Next Door with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt, who together made up the founder’s trio of girlfriends.

After the Holly’s World alum left the mansion, however, she wasn’t afraid to speak out about what she really experienced in Hef’s orbit. In 2015, she authored Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, which included tons of details about her time with the infamous publisher.

"I learned Hef was the manipulator and that he pitted us against one another," she wrote of her relationship with other women in the house. "I realized I wasn't treated well.”

In 2021, she spoke more about her memories during an interview for the A&E docuseries Secrets of Playboy. “I didn't realize that getting into the Playboy world was a dangerous choice," the Oregon native said in a promo for the show.

She previously revealed that she’d struggled with body dysmorphia while dating Hefner and working for Playboy. "[I] thought I had gained weight, and thought I hadn't stuck to my diet, and I thought my thighs were huge and I thought, 'I need to lose five pounds at least,’" she said in a TikTok video, recalling how she used to watch old footage of herself. "And that's ridiculous. I look like a stick."

The Vegas Diaries: Romance, Rolling the Dice and the Road to Reinvention author also compared life at the mansion to life in a “cult,” with Hefner as the leader.

"It’s a very cult-like atmosphere anyway and you’re manipulated to feel that way, but on top of it, my own shame kept me there too. I just couldn’t really imagine a life outside of there," she said during an April 2021 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. "Imagine having sex with somebody in a room full of women who all hate you and you know they’re all talking s—t about you. Like, how horrible? It was gross.”

Keep scrolling for a look back at all of the former Playmates and Playboy models who’ve spoken out against Hefner:

Holly Madison
In April 2021, the reality star claimed that she had to sleep with Hefner before he would allow her to move in with him, adding that she was relieved she never got pregnant while she was with him. “I knew it was because of him. I was healthy. He was just too old,” she said on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. “When I had first gotten into that situation and something happened in my mind that first night I had sex, where I felt like, ‘OK, I did that. I, like, breached my own boundaries and I wasn’t comfortable with it. Now I have to make this situation into something.’ I almost locked myself into this box.” Rich Fury/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Kendra Wilkinson
Though Wilkinson has spoken highly of Hefner and her time in the mansion, she admitted in her 2011 memoir that she didn't love the more intimate duties of being his girlfriend. "I had to be very drunk or smoke lots of weed to survive those nights — there was no way around it," she wrote in Being Kendra: Cribs, Cocktails, and Getting My Sexy Back. "At about the minute mark, I pulled away and it was done. It was like a job. Clock in, clock out. It's not like I enjoyed having sex with him." F Sadouadmedia/Sipa/Shutterstock
Bridget Marquardt
The third Girl Next Door star ran into problems when she decided she wanted to return to the mansion after leaving in 2009. “We kind of lost contact, and I tried to go back to the mansion," she told Australia's The Morning Show of Hefner in 2017. "He told me there was always an open door any time I wanted to go back, but I heard that’s not quite true lately. So, I actually called and tried to go to the mansion earlier this year, and I’m just sort of getting the runaround, so I haven’t heard back yet if I’m allowed up there.” In the 2022 docuseries Secrets of Playboy, Marquardt offered support for some of Madison's claims. "Hef would be pretty abrasive in the way he said things to Holly," she claimed. "I could definitely see that she was getting depressed and sad and her demeanor was starting to change."  Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Izabella St. James
The model, who dated Hefner from 2002 to 2004, said the mansion's infamous grotto wasn't the fantasy it seemed like from the outside. "It’s not all it’s cracked up to be,” she said in 2017. “The heydey of the grotto’s glory days was the ’70s. That’s when I think all the swinging or activities took place in the grotto. ... No one was having fun in the grotto when I was there." In her 2006 book, Bunny Tales: Behind Closed Doors at the Playboy Mansion, St. James detailed one of her least favorite parts of living with the magazine mogul: collecting her $1,000 allowance every Friday night. "We had to go to Hef's room, wait while he picked up all the dog poo off the carpet — and then ask for our allowance," she wrote. "We all hated this process. Hef would always use the occasion to bring up anything he wasn't happy about in the relationship." Broadimage/Shutterstock
Karissa Shannon
Shannon, who joined The Girls Next Door in 2009 along with her twin sister, Kristina Shannon, claimed that the duo were kicked out of the mansion for dating younger men. "After a couple of weeks, Hef was getting a little bit upset about the boyfriends, so he wanted us to move out," she told The Sun in 2010. "We were not allowed to have boys in the house. That was the absolute No. 1 rule — no boys allowed. That was one of the main reasons we moved out. But living there and being seen out with other guys, Hugh was tripping." BDG/Shutterstock
Carla Howe
In 2015, the model, who lived at the mansion on and off for four years, described life there as "like being in prison," adding that residents had to be home by the 9 p.m. curfew and couldn't invite any guests to visit. “You’re definitely not allowed male visitors," she told The Sun. "If you break the rules, you get banned. Once you’re out, you’re out — you can’t come back." She reiterated similar claims in Secrets of Playboy. “I know for a fact the rules [Holly] had to follow,” she explained. “You’re imprisoned in that Playboy [world]. Like, you can’t do your own thing.” Brett Cove/SOPA Images/Shutterstock
Melissa Howe
Carla's twin sister had similar grievances about her time with Hefner. “If you do something wrong, you’ll get an email," she told The Sun. "There’s a strict code of conduct. There are even rules about Instagram and Twitter. You’ve got to show everything in a good light and if you’re drunk in a picture you’ll be in trouble.” Nils Jorgensen/Shutterstock
Jill Ann Spaulding
In her 2004 book, Upstairs, the former Playmate claimed that Hefner refused to use protection during sexual encounters and didn't offer STD testing for his girlfriends. "No protection and no testing," she wrote. "He doesn’t care.” Dave Allocca/Starpix/Shutterstock
Sondra Theodore
The California native dated Hefner from 1976 to 1981 and was Playboy's Playmate of the Month in July 1977. "Things were done to shush people up, to get them out of the way," she claimed in Secrets of Playboy. "He had tapes on everybody." She also compared the media mogul to Charles Manson. "There were so many similarities with the way the girls followed everything he said, and we were all one big happy family." A&E/YouTube
Charlotte Lewis
The former cover model claimed in Secrets of Playboy that Hefner was unusually controlling of his second wife, Kimberley Conrad. "She was not really allowed out of the mansion," Lewis claimed, alleging that Hefner sent a handler to monitor Conrad when she visited Lewis' house for lunch. "So, she arrived with a bodyguard who was constantly on his telephone to Mr. Hefner: 'She's going up the stairs, she's going to the loo.'" Stephen Coke/Shutterstock
Miki Garcia
In Secrets of Playboy, Garcia, who was a Playmate and head of promotions from 1973 to 1982, alleged that Hefner sent someone to pay her off when she began work on a book about her time with the company. "It was cult-like," she claimed. "The women had been groomed and led to believe they were part of this family. And he really did believe he owned these women. We had Playmates that overdosed. There were Playmates that committed suicide." A&E/YouTube

Crystal Hefner Confirms Holly Madison's 'Secrets of Playboy' Allegation

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 02:53 PM PST

Mixed reactions. Since the premiere of Secrets of Playboy, Hugh Hefner‘s family and friends have weighed in with their thoughts about the A&E docuseries.

Some of the late Playboy founder’s associates have slammed the series as “ridiculous,” while others have corroborated the participants’ claims. Crystal Hefner, who was married to the media mogul from 2012 until his death in September 2017, confirmed one of the stories Holly Madison told in the Monday, January 24, series premiere.

The Vegas Diaries author, 42, claimed that Hugh would use a disposable camera to take photos of “intoxicated” women who visited the Playboy Mansion. The Holly’s World alum lived in the mansion from 2001 to 2008 while she was dating the Chicago native.

“So, if you were messed up and if you were in his bathtub with your top off and some other girl is doing some sexually explicit pose on you, and he took a picture of that on his disposable camera, he’d make a copy and give it to everyone that night and put it in a scrapbook,” Madison recalled.

After Secrets of Playboy premiered, Crystal, 35, tweeted that she later found “thousands” of the photos the Girls Next Door alum described. “I immediately ripped them up and destroyed every single one of them for you and the countless other women in them,” she tweeted on Monday. “They’re gone.”

Crystal hasn’t always been so publicly supportive of her husband’s ex-girlfriends. Last year, she said that some of the women who’ve spoken out against Hugh would never have become famous if it weren’t for him.

"I think everyone's entitled to their opinions. I think for some it was a lot harder than for others," she said during a September 2021 appearance on E!'s Daily Pop. "For some of them, you know, being there is what got them attention. So, to keep talking about it and talking about it keeps the attention on themselves. A lot of the women speaking out negatively wouldn't be where they were if it wasn't for Hef."

Earlier that year, however, she acknowledged that Madison “went through some very hard things” while she lived at the mansion. "I understand that Holly is probably finding healing by speaking about her experience, for sure," the model exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2021. "I noticed because I'm trying to find my own healing as I reflect back.”

Before Secrets of Playboy premiered, Hugh's son Cooper Hefner defended his father via social media. “Some may not approve of the life my Dad chose, but my father was not a liar,” he tweeted on Sunday, January 23. “However unconventional, he was sincere in his approach and lived honestly. Ahead of the premiere, Brande Roderick described Hugh as a "wonderful person" during an interview with Ashleigh Banfield. “How about the girls there preying on these rich men? I mean, come on, that’s ridiculous," the former Playmate, 47, said on Friday, January 21. "They were all there at their free will: No one was holding a gun to their head.” The California native also voiced her disapproval of associates and models who only started speaking out after Hugh's death. "The fact that some women are coming out because maybe they have a book coming out, maybe they want 15 more minutes of fame, maybe they’re out of it, whatever, and to do it now, after he’s dead, when he cannot defend himself, to me is disgusting," she said, adding that the magazine founder was "very much against drugs." Playboy the Brand
Before the show's release, Playboy distanced itself from its founder in an open letter. "The Hefner family is no longer associated with Playboy, and today’s Playboy is not Hugh Hefner’s Playboy," the brand wrote in January. "We will continue to confront any parts of our legacy that do not reflect our values today, and to build upon the progress we have made as we evolve as a company so we can drive positive change for you and our communities." The letter also noted that the company supports the women who have come forward with allegations about their time working with Playboy. "We trust and validate women and their stories, and we strongly support the individuals who have come forward to share their experiences," the letter read. "As a brand with sex positivity at its core, we believe safety, security and accountability are paramount, and anything less is inexcusable." Shutterstock
Crystal Hefner
While Crystal supported Madison's claims about "scrapbooks" containing nude photos of women, she denied Sharmagne Leland-St. John-Sylbert's accusation that Hugh was fascinated by Charles Manson. During the Secrets of Playboy premiere, the photographer alleged that Hugh had "home videos" of the Manson Family. Sondra Theodore, who dated the former editor-in-chief from 1976 to 1981, also compared life at the mansion to the infamous cult, saying, "There were so many similarities with the way the girls followed everything he said, and we were all one big happy family." Crystal slammed the claims in a tweet posted after the episode aired. "Saying he has interest is definitely a lie," she wrote on Monday. "Hef was friends with Vincent Bugliosi up until his death and that’s extent of being 'tied to' or 'interested.'" Celebrity Splits of 2022: Stars Who Broke Up This Year

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 01:18 PM PST

Calling it quits. It happens all the time, but the world never gets used to seeing celebrity couples break up. Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard were among the stars who made headlines for their splits in 2022.

Us Weekly exclusively revealed in January that the model and the NFL star were "getting divorced," though they were "going to try and remain civil and friendly towards each other."

Divorce documents obtained by Us claimed that the pair were having marital issues as far back as December 2020.

"The parties have experienced irreconcilable differences [and the] differences have caused a break down in the marital relationship," the papers, which were filed in June 2021, read. "Said irreconcilable differences have existed for at least six months prior to the filing [of] this Complaint and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation."

After Iman and Shepard welcomed daughter Cali in August 2018, he got real about balancing their parenting responsibilities and their relationship. (The duo also share daughter Cassie, whom they welcomed in December 2019.)

"It's honestly tough whenever you put a baby into the situation because you've got to still try to find time for each other and a lot of the focus goes onto the baby," he told Us in August 2019. "So that's the main thing is just me trying to carve out a little time in my schedule and her trying to carve out time in her schedule because we're both pretty busy. That's the toughest thing about it, but we find a way to get through it."

Another split that made news in 2022 was Joe and Bessy Gatto's, though they technically announced it in December 2021. The comedian revealed the separation in an Instagram post that also explained his exit from Impractical Jokers.

"Alongside my friends, I've devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn't be prouder of what has been accomplished," he wrote on New Year’s Eve in 2021. "However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids."

Bessy, for her part, addressed the breakup in her own Instagram post. "With love and respect, we have decided to separate. Although we will no longer be a couple, we will always be a family to our beautiful kids and we look forward to co-parenting together," she noted. "We ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate this new chapter together. And of course we will still continue to help animals and rescue dogs, which is something we are both passionate about!"

Royals Who Married Common People

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 01:17 PM PST

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s love story is well known, they aren't the only royal couple who have given Disney a run for its money when it comes to dream-come-true romances!

News broke of Harry and Meghan’s romance in 2016 after the pair were introduced through mutual friends. The following year, the royal and the actress announced that they were engaged in their first joint interview.

"It was just an amazing surprise," the Suits alum gushed to BBC News about the proposal at Kensington Palace's Nottingham Cottage. "It was just so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee. As a matter of fact, I could barely let [him] finish proposing. I was like, 'Can I say 'yes' now?'"

In May 2018, the duo tied the knot at St George's Chapel in Windsor, England, and they were granted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex title by Queen Elizabeth II at the time. They welcomed their son, Archie, in May 2019.

One year later, the pair announced that they were stepping back from their duties as working members of the royal family. Harry and Meghan chose to move from the U.K. to California and in February 2021, it was confirmed that they would not be returning to their senior roles at the palace.

In March 2021, the twosome opened up about their decision to no longer be part of the royal family during a tell-all interview on CBS.

"I was trapped but I didn’t know I was trapped," Harry shared. "Trapped within the system like the rest of the family. My father [Prince Charles] and my brother are trapped. They don’t get to leave and I have huge compassion for that."

During the interview, the California native revealed that she attempted to seek help for suicidal thoughts after struggling with the targeted negative press in the U.K.

“Look, I was really ashamed to have to say it at the time and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry especially, but I knew that if I didn't say that I would do it," she explained at the time. "I just didn't want to be alive anymore.”

As Harry and Meghan adjusted to their new life, the Duke of Sussex reflected on his outlook on being a royal.

“It’s the job, right? Grin and bear it. Get on with it. I was in my early 20s and I was thinking, 'I don’t want this job, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to be doing this,'" Harry said during an episode of the "Armchair Expert" podcast in May 2021. “Look what it did to my mum. How am I ever going to settle down and have a wife and family, when I know it’s going to happen again?”

Since their departure, Harry detailed how living in Santa Barbara allows them to walk “a little more free.” One month later, the Sussexes welcomed their daughter, Lilibet.

“By mutual agreement we have decided to break off our marriage," the estranged couple said in a statement to The Times on Monday, January 24. "Our commitment to our children remains intact. Since this is a private decision, we ask the utmost respect of all those around us."

Cristina, who is one of King Felipe VI of Spain‘s sisters, married Urdangarin, 54, in October 1997. The pair welcomed their first child, son Juan, nearly two years later in September 1999.

The princess, 56, has since given birth to two more sons, Pablo and Miguel, born in December 2000 and April 2002, respectively, and daughter Irene, born in June 2005.

The split news comes one week after photos surfaced of Urdangarin holding hands with another woman during a visit to southern France earlier in the month.

When asked about the alleged affair, the father of four told reporters, “These things happen. It is a difficulty that we will manage with the utmost tranquility and together as we have always done.”

The cheating scandal is the latest event to plague the princess, who is sixth in line for the Spanish throne, and her estranged husband.

The former Spanish handball team player was found guilty in 2018 of tax fraud, embezzlement and influence peddling. Urdangarin was sentenced by the Supreme Court to five years and 10 months in prison.

Cristina was also charged with tax fraud for her alleged part of the $6 million embezzlement scheme that involved her estranged spouse and 16 other defendants. The royal, however, was acquitted in the case.

Amid their legal drama, King Felipe, 53, stripped his sister and Urdangarin of their titles in 2015. They are no longer referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Palma de Mallorca.

In the wake of his legal troubles, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía's youngest daughter has seemingly kept her distance from Urdangarin. Cristina has been living and working in Switzerland, while her estranged husband has been serving his prison sentence.

The entrepreneur was granted half-release in June 2021, which means he is able to leave prison and live with his mother in the Basque city of Vitoria-Gastiez in Spain. Urdangarin is currently employed as a consultant to an accounting firm.

“My wife is my biggest supporter,” the quarterback, 44, said during an episode of his SiriusXM podcast “Let's Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray” on Monday, January 24. “It pains her to see me get hit out there.”

Witnessing the ways that his successful career has impacted the model, 41, and their three children has made Brady think more critically about retirement. “She deserves [to get] what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad,” the NFL champion explained. “And I’m gonna spend some time with them and give them what they need, 'cause they’ve really been giving me what I need the last six months to do what I love to do.”

Brady continued: “I said this a few years ago, [but that’s] what relationships are all about. It’s not always what I want. It’s what we want as a family. And I’m gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what’s next.”

Ultimately, the football star revealed that the big decision comes down to finding a way to balance his love for the game and his love for the children he shares with Bündchen, Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9. (Brady also shares son Jack, 14, with ex Bridget Moynahan.) “My days are meaningful to me. I’m gonna try to keep ’em meaningful to me,” he said. “And, you know, in the meantime I’m gonna do as best I can to enjoy the time that I have not playing football. Because that’s equally important.”

While he still gets a lot of “joy” from playing with the Buccaneers, Brady is also enjoying his time as a father. “There’s a lot of joy in [spending time with family] for me also,” the former Patriots quarterback said, adding that he’s loved seeing “my kids getting older and seeing them develop and grow. So all these things need to be considered and they will be.”

Brady has previously addressed the topic of retirement, confessing on his “Let’s Go!” podcast in October 2021 that Bündchen put her own career on hold in order to raise their kids.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 37, had "reached out" to Schauf, 41, a few weeks before her trip, the insider says, noting that the Uncharted Supply Co. CEO "helped her with recommendations" about "where to get ski rentals and where to ski."

Schauf, however, "had no plans to meet with her while she was there," the source tells Us, adding, "He was with a few of his friends Friday night when he ran into her. He thought it would just be nice of him to say, 'Hello.'"

The exes briefly chatted after spotting one another with the insider saying, "The whole interaction lasted about a minute. That was it.”

Schauf exclusively told Us on Monday, January 24, that he did "randomly run into Meghan and her friends," explaining that "it was just a very quick hello."

King met the "Life Uncharted" podcast host on a dating app in March 2020, but the duo's whirlwind romance ended in November of that year.

The St. Louis native then briefly dated Will Roos in early 2021 before moving on with Cuffe Owens. King and Owens, 43, tied the knot in October 2021, one month after becoming Instagram official. The TV personality confirmed in December 2021 that she and President Joe Biden‘s nephew had called it quits after two months of marriage.

Earlier this month, the "Intimate Knowledge" podcast cohost documented her first trip post-split via social media.

She revealed on January 20 that she arrived in Park City without her kids for a solo ski experience. (King shares daughter Aspen, 5, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 3, with ex-husband Jim Edmonds, whom she split from in 2019 after five years of marriage.)

"I love skiing and I wanted to go. But I have my kids so often and none of my friends could meet me here. So what did I do? I took advantage of my kid-free days and booked a trip to Park City," she wrote via Instagram at the time. "Today I skied by myself all day."

The mother of three called the outing a "little bit empowering," noting that she ate alone and had a glass of champagne after hitting the slopes.

King's winter getaway ended up being a group adventure, according to the source. "She was with a crew," the insider tells Us, adding that the former reality star had been "planning the trip with her friend for months" and chose to get in a day early for a little me time.

"This afternoon another single mama friend of mine from college @harbenhouse joined me so it's not a full-blown solo trip, but today it was," King wrote via Instagram on January 20. "And small steps count, because each foot in front of the other allows us to travel miles we never knew could. So here's to me. Here's to FREAKING ME. I'm doing it! IM DOING IT!"

When asked by a fan whether she into her “sexy rugged mountain ex” during her vacation, the University of Mississippi alum answered, “I actually did bump into Christian! It was so nice to see everyone I used to know.”

Moving on? Not so fast. James Kennedy was spotted holding hands with a woman in Las Vegas, but the reality star is “not dating” in the wake of his split from Raquel Leviss.

“He went to Vegas for his birthday with a group of six friends,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly after Kennedy posted a handful of videos on Monday, January 24, from Caesars Palace and Resorts World. “He’s been down about the breakup and has been busy working, so he really wanted a fun trip to Vegas.”

The DJ uploaded a clip of himself standing beside a brunette during his 30th birthday festivities at the Area 15 immersive experience, which he attended with a large group of “both girls and guys,” the insider says. Kennedy, who is sober, also paid a visit to Lisa Vanderpump‘s Vanderpump Cocktail Garden after arriving in Sin City on Sunday, January 23.

The U.K. native was "surrounded by his good friends" on his birthday to help get his mind off his recent split, per the source. Kennedy was previously engaged to Leviss, 27, but the duo confirmed last month that they had called it quits.’

“After these 5 wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement,” they wrote in a joint statement in December 2021. “We love each other very much, but we aren’t in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending Love.”

The exes, who originally shared the news of their split while filming the Vanderpump Rules season 9 reunion, started dating in 2016 after meeting at a New Year’s Eve party. Viewers watched the pair get engaged during an October 2021 episode of the hit Bravo series.

Shortly after the breakup, Kennedy opened up about whether he would consider rekindling his past flame with costar Lala Kent.

“We have both done so much growing up — I would love to just continue this beautiful friendship that we do have,” he explained during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen earlier this month. “Look, I never say never to anything nowadays, honestly, [after] everything that I have been through.”

The 31-year-old Utah native, for her part, denied that she would romantically reconcile with the DJ after breaking off her own engagement to Randall Emmett.

“Oh, my gosh. I mean, I don’t think James Kennedy is ready to be, like, a stepdad. So much has changed since we got together,” the beauty mogul, who shares 10-month-old daughter Ocean with Emmett, 50, said on WWHL. “But he is, like, one of my best friends.”

At the time, Leviss called her ex-fiancé’s comments about Kent “interesting,” telling photographers, “I mean, good luck to them.”

Earlier this month, the model discussed what prompted her and Kennedy to pull the plug on their relationship, noting that it wasn’t an easy decision.

"There wasn't one thing exactly [that led to the split]," Leviss said on the January 7 episode of the "Scheananigans" podcast with costar Scheana Shay. "James has always felt like my parents haven't embraced him into the family the way that he wanted to be. I found myself making excuses for him [after an argument he had with my dad]. It was getting to the point where my family and him were not meshing well."

The former beauty pageant contestant later gushed about how Kennedy supported her in the season 9 finale of Vanderpump Rules.

“If you really knew me, you would know that public speaking is my biggest fear,” she wrote via Instagram alongside a photo from her July 2021 engagement party, which was featured in an episode that aired months later. “You'll see me give a toast, which I was so terrified to do [because] I had major writer's block the week leading up to the party. James helped me come up with something nice to say and we wrote it down on my phone.”

Leviss thanked her now-ex for assisting after she realized she “didn’t have an extra hand” to read her notes, adding, “It might have seemed funny but James was there to support me and help me through my speech. I'm tearing up writing this because although we are not together anymore, I really could count on him for moral support during challenging times like this one.”

The first part of the Vanderpump Rules season 9 reunion airs on Bravo Tuesday, January 25, at 9 p.m. ET. The special continues on Wednesday, January 26, at 9 p.m. ET.

Three months later, the former reality star underwent knee replacement surgery, followed by ankle replacement surgery one month after that. “Hopefully the last one for a bit,” he wrote via Instagram in September 2021 alongside a photo of his hand hooked up to an IV.

In his post on Monday, Sutter reflected on how much he enjoys working as a firefighter. “This job isn't easy — not these days and not in this climate,” he wrote. “But it's a tremendous opportunity, an opportunity to be challenged, to be humbled and to be taught that, despite our differences, we are all humans in this life — together in at least that much.”

His wife, Trista Sutter, supported him in the comments section, writing, “Love your perspective. Love you.”

The Dancing With the Stars alum, 49, and her husband met during the inaugural season of The Bachelorette, which aired in 2003. The couple, who tied the knot in a December 2003 ceremony that aired on TV, are the parents of son Maxwell, 14, and daughter Blakesley, 12.

When Ryan graduated from firefighter training weeks after revealing his Lyme disease diagnosis, he thanked his loved ones for helping him achieve the milestone.

"It may not have gone as I'd thought, as I'd hoped or as I'd expected," he wrote via Instagram in June 2021. "It was not an easy year or perfect process. It was hard — intentionally so. But it's in the books now and, with the undying support of my family, I made it — we made it!"

Trista, for her part, has been open about how her spouse’s health struggles have affected the whole family. “It's been hard. I want him to be better,” she said during a June 2021 appearance on the “Almost Famous” podcast. “I want him to spend time with our family and make memories. When you don't feel good, it just takes away from life.”

Scheana Shay: Lala Would 'Shut Down' Randall Cheating Rumors Before Split

Different outlooks. Although Lala Kent has expressed her frustration with her costars for not telling her the rumors they allegedly heard about Randall Emmett, Scheana Shay offered another side to the story.

“I think James [Kennedy] and Kristen [Doute] had said that they had heard things years ago. But at that time, if anyone who had heard anything would’ve brought that to Lala, she would’ve shut it down,” Shay, 36, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, January 24, while promoting season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. “She says, ‘Now I wish people came to me.’ But at the same time, if people did come to her then and she didn’t shut it down and she did leave him, she wouldn’t have Ocean.”

The “Good as Gold” singer noted that her cast members have all dealt with their fair share of “bulls–t” claims when it came to their significant others.

“No one believed it. I remember sitting with Ariana [Madix] one night and she gets a message on her phone that was, like, ‘I was with your man [Tom Sandoval] last night.’ And she’s like, ‘Really? Because we were watching a movie in bed,'” Shay recalled. “So people say things like that all of the time that I think anything anyone had heard, they just dismissed because they thought it was bulls–t.”

Shay’s comments come after Kent, 31, previously called out her Vanderpump Rules costars for claiming they heard rumors about Emmett, 50, being unfaithful.

“I wish that somebody would have come to me and said, I’m getting DMs about your person. No one voiced any concern for me and my relationship,” the Utah native, who shares 10-month-old daughter Ocean with the director, shared during an interview on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in December 2021. “James and Sandoval both expressed that they knew things. As time passes, I have a lot of people that are telling me things. Everyone wants to say, ‘It’s not your business.’ How would you feel? I would give everything to turn back the clock and have someone tell me something.”

The beauty mogul, who got engaged to the film producer in 2018 after going public with their relationship earlier that year, also called out her friends during the reunion special.

“Randall Emmett creeping around on me — that should have been brought to my attention,” she said during the trailer for the season 9 reunion on January 18. “The fact that this man — he made me feel safe enough to bring a child into this world. I feel disgusted.”

During the sneak peek, Shay pointed out that Kent referred to her ex as a “standup man” in comparison to the California native’s fiancé, Brock Davies. The reunion special was shot two months after Kent originally sparked split speculation when she deleted her then-fiancé from her Instagram feed in October 2021. The following month, Us confirmed that the twosome had ended their engagement.

Since the breakup, Shay noted that she couldn’t see Kent and Kennedy, 30, rekindling their past flame after his split from Raquel Leviss.

“I mean anyone who knows Lala knows her type and it’s not Randall and it’s not James. Let’s just say that,” the former SUR waitress shared with Us, shortly after the DJ admitted that he would “never say never” to a reconciliation with the Give Them Lala author.

Shay added: “I think right now she’s taking some time for herself, but she’ll definitely start dating again. I have a very good man who was interested in her when the time is right. So I can’t wait to hopefully play matchmaker.”

The first part of the Vanderpump Rules season 9 reunion airs on Bravo Tuesday, January 25, at 9 p.m. ET. The special continues on Wednesday, January 26, at 9 p.m. ET.

Meghan King and Christian Schauf: The Way They Were

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 11:47 AM PST

Not the fairy-tale she hoped for. Meghan King stumbled upon love with Christian Schauf after her split from estranged husband Jim Edmonds — but it wasn’t meant to be.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum was previously married to Edmonds for five years before Us Weekly broke the news in October 2019 that they had called it quits. The former couple share daughter Aspen, born in November 2016, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, born in June 2018.

After facing a number of ups and downs in her dramatic split from the former St. Louis Cardinals player, King was ready to find The One — again. “I just want to hold somebody’s hand or get a hug and whether or not, in the age of coronavirus or not, as a single woman, I want to be partnered up. I want that relationship,” she said during an episode of her “Intimate Knowledge” podcast in April 2020. “It was never my idea to get divorced and yet here I am and I’m happier than ever now but I do want a partner.”

One month later, King’s wish came true. Us confirmed in May 2020 that the former reality TV personality sparked a romance with Schauf, whom she later revealed she met on a dating app.

“When I knew I had worked through my pain to the point where it wouldn’t define me or scar me but instead teach me, I knew I was ready to really date,” King wrote in a blog post about her budding romance in June 2020, describing her experience with virtual dating amid the COVID-19 crisis. “I shot for the stars and made a list of every last minute detail of the man I was looking for – my list was pages long – and daily I’d ask God to open my heart to the possibility of loving again.”

As she continued to navigate her transition to single motherhood — and balance raising a family with exploring a new relationship — Schauf told the New York Post’s Page Six that he found King’s strength “admirable” when it came to her divorce drama with Edmonds.

“This is a 35-year-old woman with three kids under the age of 3 with an ex who is not that easy to deal with — and that is putting it in the nicest way possible — and then having every move you make played out at a scale she does, for her to continue to be positive and push ahead and have goals, and not let it overwhelm her,” he said in July 2020. “It’s really impressive to me.”

Despite their quick connection, King and Schauf couldn’t make their romance last. The duo called it quits in November 2020 after just six months together.

Scroll down to look back at King’s whirlwind relationship with Schauf.

"File under: Things I Never Thought I'd Do Or See," the Bravo alum teased via Instagram in June 2020 after traveling to Park City, Utah, with her kids to visit her boyfriend. "Hiking with a baby in the backyard mountains, scared out of my mind by a moose on a hike, summer ski jump practice, and snow in June. (Hell hath frozen over and I have the pics to prove it!)" Modern Meet-Cute
One month after making her relationship official, King opened up about meeting her new man on a dating app amid the coronavirus pandemic. "I never thought it would go anywhere since he lives in Utah and I live in St. Louis and work in Los Angeles – but what the hell, it was quarantine and I wasn't physically seeing anyone anyway… until we did," she wrote in a lengthy blog post in June 2020. "It wasn’t until weeks into our dating relationship when we finally went to a coffee shop, got a drink at a bar, and ordered a meal at a restaurant – this order felt a little backwards and old-fashioned to us but it also made us feel more deeply connected." At the time, King said the businessman was "someone I truly cherish" and that she felt "up to [her] eyeballs in happiness."   Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram

Shooting Their Shots
"Until this weekend I had never handled a pistol in my life, but after a full weekend of training I have the knowledge and skills to match my pistol of a personality," King shared via Instagram in July 2020 after a trip to a shooting range with her beau, gushing over the enlightening experience they shared. "But in all seriousness, as long as guns are legal to own (and as long as my partner hobbies in sports that include guns) I will arm myself with information about how to use and handle them. Knowledge is safety." Courtesy of Archon Ready Group Training
One Strong Woman
Amid King's ongoing drama with her estranged husband, the Uncharted Supply Company CEO praised her ability to take the high road. "This is a 35-year-old woman with three kids under the age of 3 with an ex who is not that easy to deal with — and that is putting it in the nicest way possible — and then having every move you make played out at a scale she does, for her to continue to be positive and push ahead and have goals, and not let it overwhelm her ... it's really impressive to me," Schauf told the New York Post's Page Six in July 2020. "Like, it's really admirable. I really like that about her." Though his girlfriend's divorce continued to be the topic of headlines, Schauf tried not to "dig in too far" to her past. "I just want to meet the person for who they are and take them at face value," he said. Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram; Inset: Courtesy of Jim Edmonds/Instagram
Taking Their Time
As her relationship with Schauf continued to grow, the former reality star's Instagram followers wondered why her three children are never around while she's with her man. "I think it's healthy to get to know him first. And it's a lot of fun, too!" King replied in September 2020 after a troll assumed Schauf didn't "like" her kids. Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram
The Perfect Pair
Despite his girlfriend's public persona, Schauf still aimed to maintain a bit of privacy in his relationship. "She's very public. She has, like, a million Instagram followers and her personal life is kind of her career so I get that she wants to share things. She wants to talk about things at her comfort level and I'm OK with whatever she wants to share," he said during an October 2020 episode of the "Living Unscripted" podcast, noting that he wanted to put on a professional front on social media for the sake of his business.  Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram
King of Her Heart
"We jumped on the bandwagon of wearing the most popular costume of 2020 🎃🐯 Happy Halloween!" King joked via Instagram in October 2020, showing off her and Schauf's Tiger King-inspired couples costume. Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram
On the Outs?
King gave her Instagram followers a tour of her recently-purchased St. Louis home in November 2020 and quickly sparked speculation that she and Schauf had split when she noted that only her dog and her children would be joining her there. “No one is moving in this home except for me, Girly Girl, Aspen, Hart and Hayes,” she said at the time. “That’s it. That is everyone who will be living in this house.” Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram
It’s Over
One day after split rumors swirled around the pair, King confirmed that they had called it quits six months into their romance. “After a terrible split from my ex-husband I learned how to heal. I then met and dated a wonderful man: Christian,” she wrote on her blog. “We laughed, went on adventures, made a long-distance relationship a thing of beauty, grew together, and then… well, we grew apart.” Schauf later told Page Six, “I wish nothing but the best for Meghan and the kids, and we’re on good terms.” Courtesy of Meghan King/Instagram
Brief Reunion
King “reached out” to Schauf ahead of her January 2022 ski trip to Park City, Utah, a source exclusively told Us at the time, noting the Uncharted Supply Co. CEO “helped her with recommendations” about “where to get ski rentals and where to ski.” While Schauf “had no plans to meet with her while she was there” he ran into the TV personality while out with a few friends on Friday night, the insider explained. “He thought it would just be nice of him to say, ‘Hello.’” The “Life Uncharted” podcast host confirmed the run-in, exclusively telling Us, “I did randomly run in to Meghan and her friends … it was just a very quick hello.” Shutterstock; Inset: Courtesy of Christian Schauf/Instagram

UPDATE: January 25 — Tiffany Haddish addressed her DUI charge while on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 24. “I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four … in uniform,” she joked.

The comic continued, saying, “And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!”

Police took the actress, 42, into custody in Georgia in the early hours of Friday, January 14. Authorities responded to a call about a driver who was asleep at the wheel and had a description of Haddish's vehicle.

The comedian was released on Friday after posting $1,666 bond, according to TMZ.

Haddish previously made headlines in November 2021 for her split from boyfriend Common after one year of dating. Prior to their breakup, she gushed about the Oscar winner's positive impact on her life.

"I've lost 20 pounds since I've been in this relationship. I feel more confident in me, and it's not him that's doing it," she said during a July 2020 episode of the "Wild Ride! With Steve-O" podcast. "I'm just way happier and it's, like, knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways. And I love it. I love him."

The 49-year-old star, for his part, caught heat after he claimed in December 2021 that he and Haddish "came to an understanding" about putting their careers first.

"Neither one of us is gonna stop," Common explained on Hollywood Unlocked With Jason Lee: Uncensored at the time. "We both care about our crafts and what we do. We care about love too and partnership, but I think the energy that has been put into our careers and continuing to want to do the things that we do for ourselves and for the people, it was hard for me to balance all of that and keep the relationship fed."

Later that month, Haddish confessed during a Hollywood Unlocked interview that she was "disappointed" by the rapper’s reasoning, adding, "I was like, 'Oh, OK. 'Cause that's not what you told me, but OK.'"

The Girls Trip star has also been open about her desire to adopt a child but exclusively told Us in November 2021 that her plans were on hold. "I had to put a pause on that [adoption] process because my business has picked up, and I feel when you take a child [in], you really need to be able to focus on them," she revealed at the time.

Haddish elaborated that adoption was not off the table entirely. "I want to raise the child. I want to give the child my knowledge and my love," she explained to Us. "So I want to finish up a few more things, so that I can really focus. It's one thing to have a dog and a garden and take care of that. But to have another human being that needs me and that I'm responsible for. I want to be present. I want to be all the way present. I don't want somebody else doing that work."

'You Never Know'! Kristen Stewart Jokes About Eloping With Fiancee Dylan Meyer

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 11:44 AM PST

The perfect match! After a number of notable romances over the years, Kristen Stewart found The One in Dylan Meyer.

The actress started dating her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson in 2009. Three years later, the Adventureland star had an affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Stewart and Pattinson briefly rekindled their romance in 2013 before officially calling it quits that same year.

Stewart was later linked to model Stella Maxwell, who she dated on and off from 2016 until 2019. In August 2019, the Spencer star sparked romance rumors when she was spotted with Meyer, who she had initially met on the set of a project years prior.

The twosome have kept their relationship relatively under wraps, but three months after their first public outing, the Happiest Season star revealed that she “can’t f–king wait” to get engaged, describing the instant spark she felt when she reconnected with the writer.

"I've known her for, like, six years, but we only started seeing each other [romantically]. Two weeks in, it was literally, like, the day that I met her, all bets were off," the California native explained on The Howard Stern Show in November 2019. "I met her years ago on a movie. I hadn't seen her in, like, two years and she had just walked up to a friend's birthday party and I was just, like, 'Where have you been and how have I not known you?'"

The Panic Room star also shared how the pair were "both scumbags" who "felt like trolls as kids," and were "so similar but different" in several ways. Stewart said she and her "brilliant” partner, who she wanted to make "movies and kids" with, dropped the l-bomb after just two weeks together.

“It was, like, really late and we were in some s–ty bar,” she noted. “And her friends were there or whatever, and they, like, walked out and I was just like, ‘Oh man, I'm so f–king in love with you.’ Done.”

Two years later, the Still Alice star confirmed Meyer had proposed, telling Howard Stern in November 2021, “We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it.”

Elton John Tests Positive for COVID-19, Postpones Farewell Tour Dates Again

Posted: 25 Jan 2022 11:38 AM PST

The pandemic isn’t over. Just as it did in 2020 and 2021, Hollywood’s A-list continues to be affected by COVID-19 in 2022 — but they largely attribute their fast recoveries to vaccines.

In January, Late Night With Seth Meyers only returned from holiday break for one show before suddenly having to go on hiatus amid the omicron variant’s prevalence.

“The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!) the good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!),” Seth Meyers wrote via Twitter on January 4. “We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!”

Meyers’ fellow NBC late night host Jimmy Fallon revealed a day prior that he’d recently recovered from COVID-19. The Saturday Night Live alum made it clear that he tested negative before returning to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 3.

“Hey guys, on the first day of our holiday break I tested positive for Covid,” he captioned a photo via Instagram of himself masked in a room marked “reserved for testing use.” The room was decorated with an iconic Diff’rent Strokes quote, which Fallon appreciated.

He continued, “I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work so hard around the clock to get everyone vaxxed. Thank you to NBC for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job – and also thanks for putting me in the ‘What 'chu talkin' about Willis?’ isolation room when they told me the news.”

In the comments section, Fallon told a fan that he completely recovered, writing, “The positive came back on 12/18. Back at work today and feeling 100%!”

The NBC hosts both advocated for vaccination. As of January, the CDC recommended a booster shot for people over age 16 five months after completing the primary series. Meyers and Fallon each had a booster before testing positive.

Similarly, Whoopi Goldberg also had a breakthrough case amid the highly contagious variant’s spread. Her View cohost Joy Behar announced the news on January 3 and said the Sister Act star was expected to be fully recovered within a week.

“Why am I here instead of Whoopi? Well, Whoopi, unfortunately, tested positive over the break, but she’ll be back probably next week,” Behar explained. “Since she’s vaxxed and boosted, her symptoms have been very, very, mild. But we’re being super cautious here at The View.”

The daytime talk show opted to film remotely for the week in the midst of Goldberg’s positive test.

“They say there’s no place like home for the holidays and that’s exactly where we are this year,” Behar said. “Happy New Year from all of our living rooms. As you can see, we’re back in boxes and doing the show remotely — hopefully for just a week. I’m praying that it’s just a week, but you never know because this omicron thing is all over the place.”

Ashley Park
“Well, I am [BTS] ARMY. I don’t even realize how much I was ARMY until this happened,” the Emily in Paris star revealed during a January 2022 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, while discussing her “Dynamite” cover on the Netflix show. "I said to Lily Collins, who is the best, most supportive person on set ever, I was like, ‘If BTS were ever to see this in an alternate universe, I would want to make them as proud as they have made me as a Korean and as an artist.’” Park then gushed that it felt like a total dream when several of the K-pop group’s members reposted her number: “The whole rest of the day, after they posted that, I couldn’t think, I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t get up. And I was like, is this what your body feels like when you go into shock? My sinuses, my head… I’ve never had this experience before. I’ve never been a fangirl to this extent. I woke up the next day and I had to take a COVID test for something. And I took a COVID test and I had Omicron, which is why I was in such a fog. I didn’t think it was COVID because I really thought I had gone into shock.” ABC/Randy Holmes
Robin Roberts
The Good Morning America co-anchor revealed on January 20 that she was fighting a “mild” battle of COVID. "Appreciate the concern about my absence this week on @GMA,” Roberts tweeted. “Unfortunately I tested positive for Covid. … I’m doing well. Looking forward to returning as soon as I can. #ThankfulThursday   #HappyFridayEve ..” MediaPunch/Shutterstock

The actress revealed on January 16 that she “just got over” a “mild” case of COVID-19. “When I tested positive I called my doctor in a panic and he broke it down for me. Masks. If you’re both masked and avoid face to face contact, that can keep the virus from spreading,” she wrote via Instagram. “Honestly the worst was not being able to hug or even make close eye contact with my son who has spent 1/5 of his life now upended from this pandemic. Kids, and all of us, have been living in fear of this thing for 2 years. And now mom has it!! And he might get it! So frightening.” John Salangsang/Shutterstock

The Hills alum, her husband, Tim Rosenman, and their 4-year-old son, Sonny, tested positive in January. “The nausea last weekend I guess was the first sign of it but we’ve all been fine otherwise,” she said via Instagram Stories on January 15. “A little congested and my taste is not at its sharpest, but we are ok. Just quarantining, cooking, and napping. I was starting to feel like it was just a matter of time before we got it.” Kristina Bumphrey/StarPix/Shutterstock

The Side by Side star revealed on January 11 that she tested positive during the ongoing omicron surge. "I fought hard, dodged COVID for 2 years in an effort to protect my baby boy," she tweeted. "I’m vaccinated, I was tested several times a week, tested those who visited. I lost the fight, and tested positive yesterday. My win, by Gods grace Ace is negative. Health is wealth. Stay safe." The Dash Dolls alum went on to slam "ignorant folks" questioning her fears about infection. "Why am I worried about a 'cold'?" she added in a second tweet. But it wasn’t.” She continued: “Nothing is worse than wanting to care for your little ones but feeling so sick you can barely function yourself. I feel useless as a parent. Devastated. The You star, 39, recounted the incident in an Instagram video posted on Sunday, January 23. “Way too close for comfort,” he captioned the post. “Glad my little sweetie is okay. Luckily it went our way today.”

The Last Ship alum was hiking with the pooch in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park on Sunday when two coyotes appeared and came after Karen. “One almost got her leg,” Van Winkle recalled. “I had to slide down the mountain literally screaming at the top of my lungs. I literally slid down the mountain and they scurried off.”

The California native thought one of the canines had bitten his pet, but he later realized she was fine. The actor, however, ended up with a large scrape on his left leg, which he showed in the video.

“Holy s–t, that was close,” he added. “That was closer than I wanted it to be.”

Van Winkle often shares photos of his beloved dog via Instagram. Last year, he brought the budding star to the set of a project he was filming with Rachael Leigh Cook. “Karen and @rachaelleighcook's chemistry is undeniable,” he joked in November 2021.

The Hart of Dixie alum celebrated his pet’s first birthday in February 2021, sharing a photo of the pooch with the caption, “Happy first birthday Karen, you little doggy angel.”

Van Winkle is not the first celebrity to have a frightening encounter with coyotes. In February 2019, LeAnn Rimes lost her dog Eveie when the pet was attacked by one in front of her and her husband, Eddie Cibrian.

“This is one of the most difficult, heartbroken [sic] moments our whole family has ever experienced,” the Masked Singer winner, 39, wrote via Instagram at the time.

In April 2014, Miley Cyrus famously lost her pup Floyd when he was attacked while she was on tour. The “Wrecking Ball” singer, 29, later paid tribute to her late pet with a giant Floyd inflatable that appeared onstage during her Bangerz tour.

Two years later, the Hannah Montana alum honored Floyd on what would have been his fifth birthday. "My dearest Floyd, i am sending you so much love and happiness on this very special day … The day you were born," she wrote via Instagram in May 2016. "Weirdly enough I woke up very sick and stuck in bed … Heart break often comes with flu like symptoms."

"It still doesn't feel real," the 46-year-old star wrote via social media on Tuesday, January 25. "It's been a month since I got scared, not having heard back from them, and called to have them checked on."

The "Still Sorry" singer remembered "waiting, phone in hand, praying fervently that the next call would be from them, angry I'd gotten someone else involved. Knowing as soon as I heard the detective's voice on the other line that they were gone."

Alicia recalled knowing in that moment that she would "never hear their voices again" and would have to spend "the rest of my life of finding them on the breeze, in a song, in a dream."

Diane and Robert were found unresponsive inside their home days before Christmas after Alicia's relative performed a welfare check at her request. When police arrived on scene, they inspected the house but found no signs of noxious gases.

The local paper Telegram & Gazette reported at the time that, while the deaths were under investigation, police said there were no signs of apparent trauma. The publication later added that freezing temperatures, a malfunctioning furnace and old home may have been contributing factors.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures bottomed out at 15 degrees the night before the pair were discovered, but an official autopsy report has not yet been made public.

As she reflected on her loss, the Two Weeks Notice actress thanked fans on Tuesday for their love and support during her family’s tough time. She also attempted to clear up a few details about the circumstances surrounding her parents' passing.

"This is very delicate for me to write because I'm wanting to honor their privacy, which they held so tightly," she noted via Instagram. "I never imagined I would have to talk about this publicly — much less, amidst overwhelming floods of grief."

Alicia explained that her mom and dad hadn't "allowed" her inside their home for "well over a decade," despite her offers to help get things repaired or up to code.

"They refused to allow workers into their house. I begged, cried, tried to reason with them, tried to convince them to let me help them move — but every time, they became furious with me, telling me I had no right to tell them how to live their lives and that they had it all under control," she continued in the lengthy social media post. "It was not for a lack of trying on my part, or the part of other people who loved them."

The Walking Dead alum noted that her parents were "not penniless." Instead, the duo were "fiercely stubborn, beautifully original souls, and with that, they made choices — choices that I couldn't talk them out of."

Alicia helped her mother and father "in all the ways they would let [her]," but their home continued to deteriorate, with the heater breaking ahead of the 2021 winter.

"I struggle, as much as I helped, with what else could I have done — short of petitioning the court system for taking control of two otherwise very sharp, very independent, very capable adults," she lamented. "They were a united, intertwined, indivisible force, determined to do things their own way. Knowing they had each other — battling them the way I would have had to in order to do this truly felt like it would have destroyed them."

The Nashville alum further explained that she was unaware that her parents' heat went out. Looking back, she has no idea why they never told her about it.

"My heart is broken. And even if I could have had a crystal ball and looked into the future — if I could have said to them, 'You are going to break my heart and the hearts of all who love you with a worst-case-scenario ending if you don't let us help you' — I still think they would have made the same choices," she continued. "They weren't willing to make different ones."

The Christmas Tree Lane star attended a "beautiful service and burial" in her parents' hometown earlier this month, going on to call them "brilliant educators, deeply kind, curious, intuitive, wise, young at heart, funny." She concluded by sharing that their last words to each other were "I love you," which didn't surprise her.

"That part was simple; never in doubt. They loved me so. I loved them so," Alicia wrote.
