Athlete Eileen Gu is gracing the cover of Harper’s Bazaar China’s April issue, and she shared the news along with some stylish photos and videos on her Instagram page. The 18-year-old freestyle skier and two-time Olympic gold medalist is the youngest female featured on the magazine’s cover, adding yet another milestone to her stellar career.

Gu captioned one of her posts, “#HarpersBazaarChina youngest female cover🥳 an honor and a pleasure to work w/ such an incredible team 🖤.” Keep scrolling to see it.

The Freeski star’s post, shared on Thursday, includes four pictures, the first of which is the Harper’s Bazaar China cover photo itself. She’s posing with her flat abs on display in a white Louis Vuitton crop-top and matching skirt, styled with Tiffany & Co. gold bracelets.

The second pic in the carousel is a closeup of her wearing a messy-sexy hairstyle. The third is a black-and-white photo of Gu in a boxy blazer and shorts. The last pic shows her standing against a red background, sporting a black top and leather pants.

A Pro On The Snow And On The Runway

A day later, the Olympic athlete-slash-model shared another post, a fast-moving montage of scenes from her Harper’s Bazaar shoot. The video features a lot of chic outfits, including a black cami and an embellished short suit, aside from the crop-top/mini skirt and blazer/shorts ensembles already mentioned above.

The clip also shows Gu’s daring exploits on the slopes and a cameo from a cute gray cat. The video is proof she’s as much a pro on the snow as she is on the runway!

Youngest Olympic Champion in Freeski

The athlete’s Harper’s Bazaar cover comes just two months after she won for China three medals at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing – two golds in big air and halfpipe and silver in slopestyle. The feat made her the youngest Olympic champion in freestyle skiing at only 18.

Gu was born in San Francisco, California to a Chinese mother and an American father and initially competed for the USA. In 2019, she shocked many people when she announced she was switching to team China.

The Athlete Is Also A Model

NBA Rumors: Knicks Unlikely To Trade For Lakers PG Russell Westbrook In 2022 Offseason

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook is one of the NBA superstars who are expected to change teams in the 2022 NBA offseason. With his inconsistent performance and failure to make himself with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, there are growing speculations around the league that the Lakers would explore trading Westbrook once again this summer. Though the 2021-22 NBA season is still far from over, Westbrook is already being linked to several NBA teams that are looking to upgrade their backcourt.

Russell Westbrook To New York Knicks

One of the most intriguing landing spots for Westbrook this summer is the New York Knicks. After the Kemba Walker experiment turned into a massive failure, the Knicks are highly expected to search for a new starting point guard in the 2022 NBA offseason. Targeting Westbrook won't only help the Knicks address their major backcourt problem, but it would also fulfill their dream of adding a legitimate superstar to their roster.

Despite his current struggle, Westbrook is still a former MVP, nine-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-NBA First Team, five-time All-NBA Second Team, and two-time All-NBA Third Team.

Knicks' Stance On Trading For Russell Westbrook

Most NBA fans would definitely be excited to see Westbrook playing in Madison Square Garden, which is considered the "Mecca of Basketball," in the 2022-23 NBA season. Unfortunately, in his conversation with NBA insider Marc Stein, Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report revealed that the Knicks have "no interest" in trading for Westbrook this summer.

”I pitched the idea to Knicks people time and again going back to the deadline, and they have no interest,” Fischer said. "Everything I’ve heard is that New York is trying to grow this group as it is and mix and match a few parts and move forward.”

Impact On Lakers

This is definitely bad news for the Purple and Gold. The Knicks are one of the few teams in the league that can absorb Westbrook and the $47 million that he's owed in the 2022-23 NBA season. Also, the Knicks are among the potential trade partners that could give the Lakers intriguing role players such as Evan Fournier, Alec Burks, and Derrick Rose in exchange for Westbrook.

If they fail to find Westbrook a suitable trade for Westbrook, the Lakers could be forced to let him finish the final year of his contract in Los Angeles.

Will The Knicks Change Their Stance On Russell Westbrook?

Despite Fischer's revelations, no one can rule out the possibility of the Westbrook-to-Knicks trade happening this summer. Though the Knicks looked happy with the development of their young guards like Immanuel Quickley, Quentin Grimes, and Miles McBride, there are still plenty of things that can happen between now and the 2022 NBA offseason. These include Westbrook showing a glimpse of his old self in the remaining games of the season.

Coach Tom Thibodeau would definitely prefer to spend his third year with the Knicks playing competitive basketball than rebuilding the team and focusing on the development of their young players.

NBA Rumors: Knicks Could Sacrifice RJ Barrett & Multiple 1st-Round Picks To Acquire Donovan Mitchell

Utah Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell is expected to be one of the hottest commodities on the trade market in the 2022 NBA offseason. Mitchell and the Jazz may be currently focused on fully dominating the Western Conference and winning the NBA championship title in the 2021-22 NBA season but if they suffer an early playoff exit again this year, rumors are circulating that the 25-year-old shooting guard may consider re-evaluating his future in Utah.

As of now, several teams are already closely monitoring Mitchell's situation with the Jazz, including the New York Knicks.

Donovan Mitchell To New York Knicks

The Knicks may be struggling in the 2021-22 NBA season, but they are considered as one of the top landing spots for Mitchell should he decide to part ways with the Jazz this summer. In late January, Ric Bucher of Fox Sports said that the Jazz are a "first-round exit from Donovan being in New York." There are plenty of reasons why Mitchell would consider heading to Big Apple in the 2022 NBA offseason.

Aside from the fact that it's his hometown and his father works for the New York Mets, the Knicks also have former Jazz assistant coach Johnnie Bryant and his former agent Leon Rose, who is currently the team's president of basketball operations.

What Would It Take For Knicks To Get Donovan Mitchell?

Even if Mitchell expressed his desire to leave and specifically requested a trade to New York, the Knicks would still need to pay the king's ransom to convince the Jazz to engage in a blockbuster deal. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks should be prepared to sacrifice RJ Barrett if they are serious about acquiring Mitchell this summer.

"Despite this morose season, the Knicks still feel they have player flexibility in trading for stars in a blockbuster package," Berman said. "RJ Barrett and first-round picks may have to be part of it. The Knicks have five first-round picks over the next four years. Barrett could be looking for a maximum rookie contract extension this fall — a deal that arguably is a risk because some of his analytics show inefficiency."

Donovan Mitchell On-Court Impact On Knicks

Trading Barrett would be a tough decision for the Knicks, but it would be worth it if it means acquiring a player of Mitchell's caliber. Though he has shown huge superstar potential this season, Barrett is still nowhere near Mitchell's level. Unlike Barrett, Mitchell has already proven in the entire league that he's capable of leading a franchise and serving as the team's No. 1 option on the offensive end of the floor.

Instead of facing the same situation as Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers, sending Mitchell to the Knicks would enable the Jazz to immediately replace him with another young and promising talent in Barrett.
