Jussie Smollett has been sentenced to 150 days in jail after being found guilty of disorderly conduct three months prior.

Smollett, 39, earned 30 months of probation following his time behind bars during his sentencing on Thursday, March 10, per Chicago’s WGN9. He was also ordered to pay over $120,000 in restitution in addition to a $25,000 fine.

According to the local news outlet, the actor got emotional after the decision and shouted, “I am not suicidal and I did not do it.”

The Empire alum originally alleged in January 2019 that he was the victim of a homophobic and racist attack. He claimed two individuals poured an unknown chemical substance on him and wrapped a rope around his neck.

"I am working with authorities and have been 100 percent factual and consistent on every level. Despite my frustrations and deep concern with certain inaccuracies and misrepresentations that have been spread, I still believe that justice will be served," he said in a statement the following month.

He added: "As my family stated, these types of cowardly attacks are happening to my sisters, brothers and non-gender conforming siblings daily. I am not and should not be looked upon as an isolated incident. Most importantly, during times of trauma, grief and pain, there is still a responsibility to lead with love. It's all I know. And that can't be kicked out of me."

One month later, Us Weekly confirmed that Smollett was charged with making a false police report. He was arrested and charged with 16 felony counts of disorderly conduct. After entering a not guilty plea, the Mighty Ducks star shockingly had all criminal charges dropped against him in March 2019.

“After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case,” the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office said in a statement at the time.

Smollett was indicted again in February 2020 on six counts for making false reports to police. The actor, who pleaded not guilty to the new charges, continued to deny orchestrating the fake attack or lying about what happened.

Following a delay due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, a weeklong trial began in Chicago in December 2021. During the court hearing, Smollett addressed his relationship with Abimbola “Bola” Osundairo and Olabinjo “Ola” Osundairo, who claimed they were hired to carry out a fake racist and homophobic attack.

The California native, for his part, denied creating a "hoax" with the brothers for media coverage. After claiming that he was intimate with Abimbola, Smollett noted that Olabinjo “creeped” him out, saying, “Every time we were around him he didn’t speak to me. Every time we needed to leave, he made it seem like we needed to sneak off.”

Abimbola, however, denied a sexual relationship with Smollett but said he followed through on the alleged request to “fake beat him up” because he felt like he owed him for his extra role on Empire.

Smollett was convicted of five out of six felony counts of disorderly conduct that same month.

Breaking Down Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s Divorce Settlement

Posted: 10 Mar 2022 02:25 PM PST

It’s settled. Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock finalized their divorce on March 8, 2022, after two years of tension with the pair having reached settlements on everything from custody to their Montana property.

Us Weekly confirmed in June 2020 that the American Idol winner filed for divorce after nearly seven years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences,” after spending a few months quarantined together for a few months at their Montana home. “They clashed on so many levels and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return,” a source told Us at the time.

The pair have spent much of the time since hammering out the details of their divorce settlement. "She will not even entertain the idea of settling with Brandon," a source close to Clarkson told Us in January 2022. "He will not get one penny from her that isn't ordered by the judge. It's going to be nasty."

The insider continued: “She is devoting 100 percent of any free time she has preparing for the trial. When not filming her talk show, she is hunkered down with [attorney] Laura Wasser.”

Amid the divorce drama, the Kelly Clarkson Show host filed to legally change her name to Kelly Brianne in February 2022. According to court documents, she wanted to choose a name that “more reflects who I am” in the wake of her split.

After tying the knot in October 2013, the former couple welcomed daughter River, now 7, and son Remington, now 5. The couple agreed on a custody arrangement in November 2020 but dividing up their financial assets proved more difficult. In particular, the “Piece by Piece” singer and Blackstock have disagreed over what to do about their Montana ranch, which she originally wished to sell.

Blackstock previously testified that he wanted to leave the entertainment industry behind and become a full-time rancher, claiming that he needed the ranch for his business.

In August 2021, a judge ruled that the Texas native was responsible for the costs of maintaining the ranch. If he failed to make said payments, Clarkson would be allowed to sell the property. Five months later, the Voice coach agreed to give her ex-husband a 5.12 percent share of the Montana property, equaling $908,800 of its total $17,750,000 value.

Clarkson was also prevented from having Blackstock evicted from the ranch. "He has been living in it and said he doesn't have the financial means to afford to purchase a residence of his own at this time, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce," an insider told Us in December 2021. As part of their finalized settlement, Blackstock will remain on the property until June 2022 and will pay the “Miss Independent” singer rent to cover maintenance costs until he moves.

Keep scrolling to see the full breakdown of Clarkson and Blackstock’s divorce settlement:

Custody
Per court documents obtained by Us, Clarkson will have primary custody of River and Remington, but they will stay with Blackstock one weekend a month in Montana or whenever he is in Los Angeles. However, if he moves to a different state, the custody agreement will be reevaluated. Shutterstock (2)
Child Support
The "Since U Been Gone" performer agreed to pay $45,601 a month in child support until the kids "reach the age of eighteen," graduate high school or otherwise become self-supporting. Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Spousal Support
In addition to child support, Clarkson agreed to pay her ex-husband spousal support of $115,000 monthly until January 2024. She was also asked to pay a one-time, tax-free fee of $1,326,161. Matt Baron/Shutterstock
The Montana Ranch
Blackstock is allowed to stay at their highly contested Montana ranch until June 2022 but will be required to pay around $12,000 a month and cover all utilities while he lives on the property. He is also required to cover all costs related to his cattle business. After he moves to another home, Blackstock will have 10 days to move all of his belongings — including everything related to his business — off the property and needs to have permission in order to visit the ranch.   Shutterstock (2)
Their Other Properties
In addition to their Montana home and ranch, Clarkson will also retain ownership of their home in California, where she lives with River and Remington while filming The Kelly Clarkson Show. Shutterstock (2)

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 10 Mar 2022 01:42 PM PST

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson welcomed their first child — a baby girl named True — in April 2018, and now Us Weekly is looking back over their whirlwind romance, including a cheating scandal that broke two days before the arrival of their daughter.

The Good American designer and the Cleveland Cavaliers player sparked romance rumors in August 2016 and made their first appearance as a couple the next month while celebrating Flo Rida's birthday party at LIV in Miami.

Kardashian has spoken candidly in the past about her and Thompson's desire to have a big family. "He wants to have, like, five or six kids with me, and that's lovely," she said on the season 13 finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "We could start at one and then grow from there. But now, knowing I'm on birth control, it's really scary. It's like a really big step."

Less than year after Thompson was caught cheating on Kardashian with several different women during her pregnancy, multiple sources told Us Weekly that the basketball player was spotted "making out" with Kylie Jenner's best friend Jordyn Woods in February 2019. (Thompson seemingly denied the accusations by tweeting and deleting "FAKE NEWS.")

An insider confirmed to Us the same day the cheating scandal broke that Kardashian and Thompson had called it quits after more than two years together.

However, the duo ultimately decided to give their romance another try; Us confirmed in August 2020 that they were back together. Nearly one year later, Us confirmed that the duo had called it quits once again in June 2021.

"They broke up a few weeks ago," a source told Us at the time. "They remain amicable toward each other and will continue to coparent [their daughter, True]."

The insider noted that "there was no drama" between the on-off duo ahead of their split, adding, "Things just didn't work out."

The breakup came six months before news broke that Thompson was being sued by Maralee Nichols who claimed he fathered her newborn son. The NBA player confirmed the paternity in January 2022 and issued a public apology to Kardashian as he was dating her when he fathered the child.

October 2019
In the months following the Woods scandal, Thompson made headlines for leaving flirty comments on Kardashian’s Instagram posts. According to a source, however, Kardashian had no interest in reuniting with the athlete. “Khloé is coparenting and not getting back with him,” one source told Us. “Khloé and Tristan have been spending time together primarily involving True. Tristan has made it known to Khloé he wants to reconcile,”   a second source added. “Her friends are concerned Tristan misses the lifestyle and perks that are included when dating a Kardashian.” Shutterstock
December 2019
After viewers saw Thompson gift Kardashian a diamond necklace during a December 2019 episode of KUWTK, she took to Instagram to defend her decision to forgive the NBA player for his past indiscretions. “Life is short! We are all humans trying to figure out this thing called life … Yes, I’m allowed to feel hurt and pain. It would be unnatural for me to pretend as if I don’t. Personally, I don’t want to be carrying around a hateful heart,” Kardashian wrote. Me holding onto hate is only going to hurt me in the end. I have chosen to NOT pollute my heart and my energy by holding onto anything negative … I am allowed to forgive but still not accept their behaviors … I was nothing but beautiful blessings for EVERYBODY that has ever been in my life.” Hours later, she revealed that she was writing about both Thompson and Woods. “The reason why I decided to post my previous post is because I’m seeing a lot of back-and-forth with people asking ‘why don’t I keep that same energy with Jordyn?’ That message is for Jordyn,” Kardashian wrote. “It’s for anyone else who has ever hurt me. For some reason people want to assume that I’m talking only about Tristan. This message applies to ALL parties involved in situations that have ever hurt me. I have moved on, found forgiveness and wish you only happiness and joy!” Shutterstock

But if something is really public like this was, it would be strange if Tristan was a part of the show and then all of a sudden he disappears and we don't ever talk about it." She explained that "everything happens for a reason," adding, "I always try to be as respectful as possible, but it is reality. But it's not going to be some long, drawn-out situation. I think people are probably a little tired of it. ... There's so much more to love about life than these little blips that happen to us." Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock; MEGA

“It will be addressed on the show,” the Good American cofounder, 37, told Variety of the drama during an interview published on Thursday, March 10. “We try as a family to protect the privacy of our partners or significant others, since they didn’t really sign up for this; we did. But if something is really public like this was, it would be strange if Tristan was a part of the show and then all of a sudden he disappears and we don’t ever talk about it.”

Kardashian explained that “viewers will almost feel slighted” if her ups and downs with the athlete, 30, were left out of the upcoming Hulu series, which premieres next month. “So yes, we do address it,” she continued. “I always try to be as respectful as possible, but it is reality. But it’s not going to be some long, drawn-out situation. I think people are probably a little tired of it.”

The California native teased that fans might see her family’s “real-time reactions” to Thompson’s behavior, which prompted Maralee Nichols to sue him for child support in June 2021, the same month Us Weekly confirmed Kardashian and Thompson called it quits. “It’s not always pretty, but it’s the reality of things,” the reality star added.

Us broke the news in December 2021 that Nichols, 31, gave birth to a son. The NBA player confirmed he is the baby’s father the following month and publicly apologized to his ex in the process. The fitness model went on to claim that the Chicago Bulls athlete “has done nothing to support” her and their child, Theo.

Thompson shares daughter True, 3, with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, as well as son Prince, 5, with ex Jordan Craig. As the drama continued to unfold, a source exclusively told Us that the former E! personality “will continue to coparent” amicably with Thompson.

“[She’s] focusing on herself, her business and her daughter,” the insider added in January.

The Strong Looks Better Naked writer told Variety that spending time with True has been a saving grace. “The beauty of having children is that you just keep going and you keep being a mom. We really are so badass as women,” she explained. “We can take it all and we just keep going and you just persevere and you push through. And like I said, we can have bad days, but we don’t have bad lives.”

Kardashian continued: “There’s so much more to love about life than these little blips that happen to us. I do believe there’s no coincidences in life, and everything happens for a reason – sometimes we have no idea why this is happening and what on earth could the reason be, but there’s definitely a reason for every event that happens in our lives, and if we can’t see it now, we’ll see it one day.”

The Kardashians premieres on Hulu April 14.

Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s Divorce, Legal Woes: Everything We Know

Posted: 10 Mar 2022 12:44 PM PST

Pat the … divorce papers. After Erika Jayne went to court to end her marriage to Tom Girardi, Bravo fans were shocked to learn that what seemed like one of the strongest couples in Real Housewives history was not so picture-perfect after all.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced in November 2020 that she and the powerhouse attorney had called it quits after 21 years of marriage. A source later told Us Weekly exclusively, "Erika and Tom had an unconventional marriage, spending a lot of time apart."

Erika, who shares adult son Tommy with ex-husband Thomas Zizzo, met Tom in the late 1990s while waitressing at one of his favorite West Hollywood hot spots, Chasen's. One year later, she decided to give him her phone number, and he subsequently reached out to her through his secretary.

"I told her, 'Tell Mr. Girardi if he wants to take me out on a date, he needs to call me himself and ask me and give me enough time to prepare,'" the Bravo personality recalled in her 2018 memoir, Pretty Mess. "You know how men are, especially if they are successful. They expect you to drop everything right away. That's not how I work, I don't care who you are."

Six months into their relationship, Erika and the lawyer got engaged. They married in January 1999.

"For the first 10 years of our marriage, I was by Tom's side," the "XXPEN$IVE" singer said in a February 2017 episode of RHOBH. "I was even the first lady of a couple legal organizations. Imagine that!"

Listen to Ramona Singer tell Us Weekly editors what it was like filming season 13 of ROHNY during COVID-19.

Due to Tom's high-power job, he has only made a few appearances on the reality series since Erika joined the cast in 2015. It is likely that their divorce will play out during season 11, which began filming in early October 2020.

"People are always like, 'Oh, you guys don't see each other a lot.' But when we do see each other, it's 100 percent, full-on attention," the former Chicago star said in the February 2017 episode. "This is what people don't understand. It's not a detriment to the relationship. It's actually helpful. It's better than someone being in your face all the time and you're not even present."

This is an ongoing article that was originally published in November 2020 and last updated on Thursday, March 10.

Erika Broke It Off
The Atlanta native confirmed in a statement to Us in November 2020 that she “decided to end” her marriage to Tom “after much consideration.” She added, “This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together. It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserve. I request others give us that privacy as well.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock
They Were on Different Paths
A source exclusively told Us in November 2020 that it was not uncommon for the now-estranged couple to go “several months” without seeing each other. “They would travel separately. Tom gave Erika a very lavish lifestyle, and she enjoyed it,” the insider said. “Erika has gained independence and confidence from being on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The exposure it has given for her singing career has given Erika a much larger fan base.” Bravo
They Don't Have a Prenup
Erika told Andy Cohen in June 2017 that she and Tom never signed a prenuptial agreement. “I’m married to a very powerful lawyer. A prenup wouldn’t stand in his way anyway,” she said at the time. “So it doesn’t matter whether you had one or you didn’t, it’s gonna be all Tom’s way, I assure you.” Bravo
The Fraud Lawsuit
Erika and Tom were hit with a lawsuit in December 2020 that accused them of embezzling settlement funds intended to help the families of Lion Air Flight 610 victims. In federal court documents obtained by Us, the class action firm Edelson PC claimed that the estranged couple’s divorce is “a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika’s money” and that they “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds.” Erika and Tom did not immediately comment on the allegations. Erika's Testimony
According to the Los Angeles Times, Erika was called to testify in the fraud case in May 2020 and September 2020 — before she filed for divorce that November. She was out of town on both occasions and her hearing was rescheduled for January 2021, but she's yet to testify.  Jen Lowery/MEGA
Erika Wants Spousal Support
Erika requested spousal support from Tom in November 2020, according to court documents obtained by Us, in which she citied “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. She also asked Tom to pay her attorney’s fees and demanded that the court block her estranged husband from seeking spousal support from her. Tom Does Not Want to Pay Spousal Support
In November 25, 2020, court documents obtained by Us, Tom requested to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Erika. He also asked her to pay his legal fees. Shutterstock (2)
The Truth About Tom's Finances
Tom told the court in September 2020 that he has “maybe a couple thousand” dollars in a personal bank account, adding that his stock portfolio of millions was “all gone.”  He said: “At one point I had about $80 million or $50 million in cash. That’s all gone. I don’t have any money.” He added that he hasn’t “taken a penny in salary out of the firm for more than two years.”   Shutterstock; Bravo
Frozen Assets
In December 2020, a judge in Chicago seized Tom's assets after allegations that the estranged couple withheld $2 million in client funds following the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 crash. Tom did not attend the contempt hearing at the time, but instead called into the proceedings.  Bravo
Tom's 'Illness'
According to court documents obtained by Us, Tom was secretly hospitalized for a “serious illness” in 2020. An attorney at his firm brought up the illness during a December court date, telling the judge that Tom was “unavailable in recent weeks due to a serious illness that caused him to be hospitalized for which he sought treatment.” The paperwork stated Tom “couched everything” related to the fraud case in July 2020 because he was forced to be away from his firm amid his hospitalization. He also cited his illness as the cause of the “mistake” of not getting some of the families paid in full. The Los Angeles Times also reported that one of Tom’s attorneys believed he should be subject to a mental examination. "I'm unsure that he understands either the nature or the gravity of the current situation," the lawyer told the judge, noting the team is concerned about his mental competency. In January 2021, his brother Robert Girardi claimed Tom was suffering from short-term memory loss and requested he become his conservator as Tom is “not capable of making rational decisions” when it comes to his finances.  Edelson suggested that there is more to the story with Tom’s sickness. “I’m not a doctor, I don’t know. But what I can tell you is that it seemed very convenient,” Edelson told Kate Casey in June 2021. “When we put out the facts that we found through our investigation of the types of things he was trying to do, during the time he had Alzheimer’s, where he was really scheming, he was scheming to protect himself from the fraud. He was scheming to try to keep as many possessions as possible, he was scheming to try to sell cases that he had in the pipeline to other firms.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Wells Fargo Suit
The bank is also suing Tom and his Girardi Keese firm, alleging he didn’t make monthly payments for rent, taxes, fees and more on their office. According to the paperwork obtained by Us, the group owes Wells Fargo $882,000. Wells Fargo is also seeking interest at 10 percent per annum from the date of default and wants to seize  Girardi Keese’s Los Angeles and San Bernardino, California, properties.    Shutterstock (2)
Cheating Allegations
Sources told Us in December that Erika believes Tom cheated on her during their 21-year marriage. “Erika is really going through it. She’s very strong, but this has been very hard for her emotionally,” an insider told Us. A second source claimed that rumors that Erika and Tom “had an agreement in terms of being with other people” weren’t true. Tom has yet to comment on the infidelity accusations.   Matt Baron/Shutterstock; YouTube
What Erika Knew
A source told Us that Erika never thought Tom “could be capable of doing what he has been accused of in court.” “Erika was completely unaware of the very serious allegations that were being made against Tom in court,” the source told Us, referring to the fraud accusations. “Tom always handled all of the finances and that was how they handled things. Erika feels betrayed by Tom because she completely trusted him. She is just reeling from all of this, but make no mistake. Erika is a tough cookie and she isn’t stupid. She will get through this.” According to a second source, Erika is still in "disbelief" about the alleged cheating and legal drama: “The legal issues are unfolding one after another and she’s learning as everyone’s filing. As the whole world is finding out about it, she’s finding out about it. She’s reading about it in the press before she even sees it [from her lawyers].” While she has seemingly maintained her innocence in all RHOBH footage, Jay Edelson, the lawyer who filed the class action lawsuit against the pair, claimed she was aware of the scheme. “We believe we’re going to be able to prove that Erika was incredibly involved in not just the law firm, but also, he was loaning money to her company 10s of millions of dollars to her company,” Edelson said on the “Reality Life with Kate Casey” podcast in June 2021. “And we think that money came from client funds. And we’re going to look into all of that. And that’s all going to be, you know, part of proof that we showed to a jury — that she was knee-deep in this fraud, and she can say, ‘Oh, she didn’t know anything about it.’ And I think that’s going be hard for to convince a jury of.” Shutterstock
Cheating Proof?
"This is Justice Tricia A. Bigelow. She was f--king my husband Tom Girardi and he was paying her Saks bill and paying for her plastic surgery," Erika captioned an Instagram post on December 18, sharing screenshots of texts. Shutterstock
Justice Bigelow's Response
The judge’s lawyer released a statement to the L.A. Times, saying, Erika’s “actions in maliciously doxxing the Justice were nothing short of criminal.” The attorney added: “We are considering our options to protect Justice Bigelow from further harassment.” Bravo
Erika's New Digs
According to court documents obtained by Us in January 2021, Erika moved out of her $15 million mansion with Tom and into a three-bedroom house in Los Angeles. The new home is estimated to be worth $2,408,937 or $9,500 a month in rent, per Zillow. Sara De Boer/startraksphoto.com
Back to Court
Tom appeared virtually in court on June 9, 2021, and told the judge he “disagree[d]” with the conservatorship. “I think that we should put together the reasons why the conservatorship should be dissolved, and then we’ll address it, address the court,” he said. “Right now, I have nothing to say to the court.” The judge subsequently ruled that Robert should still be named Tom’s conservator. Erika's Lawyer Files Petition
Us confirmed on June 15, 2021, that Erika’s bankruptcy attorney filed a petition to withdraw his representation of the RHOBH star. Peter Mastan made the move one day after The Housewife and the Hustler started streaming. Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock
The Documentary
Hulu’s The Housewife and the Hustler, which started streaming on June 14, 2021, aired the “never-before-aired deposition tape of Girardi” and featured RHOBH alum Dana Wilkey, Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Danielle Staub and L.A. legal professionals Chris Darden, Brian Kabateck and Neil Wertlieb. In the doc, several of Tom’s alleged victims told their stories, including Joe Ruigomez, who said the former attorney “basically robbed” him from his settlement money after he was severely burned and scarred in 2010’s San Bruno gas pipeline explosion. The Ruigomez family and Josie Hernandez, who hasn’t received a $135,000 settlement owed to her by Girardi Keese, played voicemails from Tom promising to get their money to them as soon as he could. ABC News
Breaking Her Silence
Erika briefly addressed the divorce for the first time on the June 16, 2021, episode of RHOBH. "There's so many layers to this divorce. It's so f—king complicated. It's very difficult to explain,” she told the cameras.  During a promo for the July 14, 2021, episode Erika spoke about the class action lawsuit for the first time. “What’s being said is just, I mean, it’s insane,” she said. “That lawsuit that says my divorce is a sham so I could hide assets — people want to believe that. … I could have never predicted this f—king s—t.”   Shutterstock (2)
Why She Left
She went even more into detail about the separation during the June 23, 2021, episode, telling the cast, "I let go of my Lamborghini. I let go of my 16,000 square foot home. I let go of my marriage. I let go of everything. I literally made a decision that I had to." She also told the cameras that she "left because he pushed me further and further out" and she knew the "marriage was headed down a really sh--ty path." Shutterstock (2)
He Had No Idea
Erika told the women during the June 23, 2021, episode that she "didn't leave a note" and just disappeared, leaving him to get served. “I drove him to work, I told him I loved him and he said, ‘Thanks, hun.’ Like I was an employee," she explained of the last time she'd seen Tom. "I went home and started putting everything in the moving van. I drove off, went to my new place, spent the night there and he was served the next morning.” Kcr/Shutterstock
A Legal Change?
Erika's legal team requested that the judge in her case reconsider appointing Ronald Richards as the bankruptcy trustee lawyer after he made comments about her on social media. Court documents from June 2021 claimed that the attorney "has made false and inflammatory social media posts and public statements" about the RHOBH star. Her lawyers also questioned whether Richards' posts "violate the ethical rules to which he is bound." Richards, for his part, said in a statement to Us that he was "hopeful that Erika’s new attorneys will cooperate with our investigation and we can move forward in a positive direction and complete our work." He added: "The court made no restrictions or gag orders in this case. If those rules change, our speech will change. The case is interesting for the public and I have enjoyed communicating with people all over the world about numerous legal issues. I look forward to working positively with her new attorney." As Richards and Erika continued to fight via social media, she told him he was “finally” on the right track after “a year of looking in the wrong direction” in October 2021 when he posted, “What does [every] attorney who worked at Girardi Keese as either an Associate, quasi Partner, or Manager have in common? Answer: Not one of them has taken responsibility for the clients they were obligated to protect and serve or gifted back any of their bonuses or salaries.” Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/MEGA
New Representation
After Erika's original lawyers filed a petition to be removed from her case — then filed a second motion to stay on the case — the RHOBH star hired a new attorney to represent her. Us confirmed that she filed paperwork in July 2021 notifying the judge that her new lawyer is Evan C. Borges. Mastan, meanwhile, is no longer on the case. Media Punch/INSTARimages.com
The Collections Lawsuit
According to court documents obtained by Us, Erika may have to repay settlement funds intended for Tom’s former clients. A judge ruled on July 6, 2021, that Joe Ruigomez, Jaime Ruigomez and Kathy Ruigomez can move forward with a collections lawsuit against Erika to obtain the $11 million they are owed from Tom. “The Ruigomez Family, the Girardi Trustee and the GK Trustee shall cooperate with each other with their collection efforts against Erika,” the paperwork read. Making It Official
Tom’s brother, Robert Girardi, became the effective person of the former attorney’s person and estate in July 2021. Court documents listed the reason for the conservatorship as Tom’s dementia diagnosis, classifying the condition as a “major neurocognitive disorder." Shutterstock (2)
Selling Their Property
After the former couple listed their massive mansion in Pasadena for a sale price of $13 million in May 2021, they’ve since dropped the price on the historic estate to $9.9 million in July 2021 amid their ongoing divorce and court proceedings.  Us confirmed in October 2021 that Tom and Erika’s La Quinta property sold for $1.25 million. The profits will be used “to pay any unpaid property taxes, valid liens, homeowner’s association fees, real estate brokers’ commissions (5 percent) and related sale costs directly from escrow on the Property,” per court docs. Shawn Bishop
The $25 Million
In August 2021, the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case for Girardi Keese sued Erika for $25 million. According to court documents obtained by Us, the trustee accused the reality star of knowing that the firm paid her expenses for at least 12 years. The trustee requested that the court order here to pay back the $25 million she allegedly spent plus interest. The suit also argued that she should be personally held responsible for the funds even though the money allegedly went to her company, EJ Global LLC. “She attempts to create a distinction between handling her money directly versus paying all of her bills directly,” the documents read. “The distinction, like her prior motion for reconsideration, is meritless. Any payments made for her benefit are her responsibility.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Payback
In September 2021, investigator Richards told Us that if Erika "voluntarily" paid back the $25 million within 10 days, the lawsuit would not proceed. “If she was interested in helping the victims, she would simply pay back some of the expenses that were improperly advanced by the law firm and improperly deducted by Erika on her LLC and personal returns," Richards said in a statement. "This would add 10 percent to her voluntarily compliance payment. It is not about the fees, it is about the victims.” The following month, Erika’s lawyer denied Richards' claims that his client is “liable” for the $25 million. “I can’t say enough that based on the evidence and law, Erika does not have liability for any of the claims against her,” he said in a statement. “All the claims against Erika amount to efforts to blame her for the actions of others, including Girardi Keese and Tom Girardi.” Jaxon/MEGA
When Is Erika's Next Court Hearing?
According to Richards, Erika’s case has a status conference on November 16, 2021. While she won’t appear personally, her attorney is expected to. Broadimage/Shutterstock
The 'RHOBH' Footage
Lawyer Jay Edelson claimed in October 2021 that season 11 provided “a lot of evidence” for the case against Erika and Tom. Richards said in a statement to Us at the time: “All public statements Erika makes are admissible in court. Some will hold weight if she tries to change them later or does something different than what she answers [at the RHOBH reunion].” Bravo has also been subpoenaed to hand over unaired footage of Erika. Nicole Weingart/Bravo
Erika's Opposition
Us confirmed on October 20, 2021, that Erika’s lawyer filed a new document in the bankruptcy case one day prior. “Ms. Girardi is an entertainer, never served as a lawyer at GK, and had no role in the management of the firm,” the docs read, claiming Erika “was a complete stranger to and has no knowledge of whatever transpired at GK related to the Lion Air litigation filed in November 2018, or the settlement funds that apparently were received by GK after the District Court in Illinois approved certain settlements in that litigation in the first half of 2020.” The documents also state that Erika’s “only assets are her personal possessions and income she receives from her work as an entertainer, including from the Real Housewives television program,” after she left Tom on November 3, 2020. “Ms. Girardi has no access or visibility into the bank accounts of GK, including client trust accounts, into which Edelson alleges the settlement funds in the Lion Air case were paid. If anyone has access to these accounts, it is the GK Trustee,” the paperwork read. “The GK Trustee has never contended that Ms. Girardi directly or indirectly received any of the Lion Air settlement funds; and the Trustee is the party in the best position to make that contention if it has any merit.” Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Illegal Fees?
In a November 2021 court filing, Erika's lawyer asserted that his client "never had and does not have any of the fee agreements between [the Girardi Keese firm] and the Lion Air clients." He went on to claim that Edelson's case "is based on an unethical, unenforceable and illegal fee sharing agreement between Edelson and Girardi Keese, which will require that the Illinois litigation be dismissed" if copies of the documents can't be provided to the court. MediaPunch/Shutterstock
Will Erika Ever Remarry?
When asked in November 2021 whether she would ever tie the knot again, the Bravo star was quick to respond. “No, I will not. Never,” she told TMZ, adding that she would “probably not” date another lawyer. “But then again,” she noted. “I may need free legal [advice]. Who knows?” Mediapunch/Shutterstock
Change of Representation

Another Allegation
In February 2022, Erika was sued for aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty and for financial elder abuse in a lawsuit claiming she "knew about the scheme" Girardi was supposedly conducting to defraud his clients. Tom's Former Firm's Debts
Girardi Keese allegedly owed its creditors more than $517 million as of March 2022, according to court documents obtained by Us. Tom’s former law firm had 522 claims filed against it, with the total amount stemming from $363 million in unsecured claims, $17 million in priority claims, $137 million in secured claims and $250,000 in administrative claims. Everything to Know About Meghan Markle’s Half-Sister Samantha’s Lawsuit

Posted: 10 Mar 2022 12:44 PM PST

Still at odds. After years of public drama, Samantha Markle filed a lawsuit against half-sister Meghan Markle, alleging the Duchess lied during her 2021 tell-all interview with husband Prince Harry.

The sisters’ tumultuous relationship originally made headlines ahead of Meghan and Harry's wedding in May 2018. Two years later, the couple announced that they were stepping back from their duties as working members of the royal family. In February 2021, they confirmed their decision to not return to their senior roles.

Meghan and Harry, who moved to California following their royal exit, addressed their major life change during a CBS sit-down one month later. During the interview, the California native said, “I grieve a lot. I mean, I’ve lost my father. I lost a baby. I nearly lost my name. I mean, there’s the loss of identity.”

Samantha, who has previously been outspoken about Meghan throughout her royal tenure, claimed in her March 2022 lawsuit that her younger sibling was not being honest when discussing her past or their father, Thomas Markle. In court documents obtained by Us Weekly at the time, the Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister author alleged that Meghan made up stories about growing up in "virtual poverty."

Meghan, who shares son Archie and daughter Lili with her husband, claimed during her CBS interview that she was never close with Samantha. "I grew up as an only child, which everyone who grew up around me knows, and I wished I had siblings. I would have loved to have had siblings,” she said in March 2021, noting that she had not seen her half-sister in "at least 18, 19 years."

The Suits alum also questioned why Samantha changed her last name, saying, "[She] changed her last name back to Markle in her early 50s … only when I started dating Harry. So, I think that says enough.”

In her March 2022 filing, Samantha accused the Bench writer of lying about her and their father so they "could not interfere with or contradict the false narrative and fairytale life story [she] concocted."

Thomas, for his part, previously addressed Meghan’s comments about their rift, which grew more strained after he staged paparazzi photos and subsequently missed Meghan’s 2018 nuptials. He told Good Morning Britain in 2021, “She’s pretty much ghosted all of her family, on her mother’s side and my side. So, she really had no one to reach out to. She would’ve had us if she’d kept us. We all make mistakes.”

With reporting by Diana Cooper

The Reason Behind Samantha Taking Legal Action
Per the March 2022 docs, Samantha's filed her lawsuit in response to Meghan's CBS interview from the year prior. Samantha claimed that the philanthropist's statements about their family had a negative affect on the sales of her autobiography. Samantha also alleged that she suffered from emotional and mental distress and had trouble finding work as a result of the televised tell-all. The elder sibling also called out Meghan's past statements about paying her way through college. According to Samantha, their father provided money for the Archewell cofounder to attend "elite and expensive private schools" growing up and covered her tuition at Northwestern University.   Kevin Manning/MEGA
Meghan’s Response
The former actress' attorney Michael Kump addressed the allegations in March 2022, telling TMZ in a statement at the time, “This baseless and absurd lawsuit is just a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behavior. We will give it the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves.” Shutterstock
Samantha’s Claims
In the lawsuit, Samantha referred to many of the Tig creator's past statements about their relationship as false. Samantha argued that it wasn't true that they only saw one another “a handful of times.” She also slammed the claim that Meghan asked for their father to intervene amid her public comments. Samantha also alleged that she was invited to Meghan's first wedding to Trevor Engelson in 2011. The former couple called it quits in 2013.  YouTube
Next Steps
According to the court docs, Samantha sued for "actual damages in the form of lost employment, lost income from sales of her autobiography, emotional and mental distress, including anxiety and fear due to the threatening and violent emails and messages she receives regularly, and harm to her reputation and credibility."  Samantha is seeking damages "in excess of $75,000.00." The summons, which was filed on March 4, 2022, also stated that Meghan had 21 days to answer the complaint.   Shutterstock

As of Tuesday, March 8, the now-defunct company has 522 claims filed against it that total more than $517 million, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. The amount is made up of $363 million in unsecured claims, $17 million in priority claims, $137 million in secured claims and $250,000 in administrative claims.

In bankruptcy cases, secured claims involve collateral. However, unsecured claims do not include collateral, meaning creditors cannot sell property to satisfy the debt. Priority claims are entitled to special treatment and will be paid ahead of other claims. Administrative claims are linked to the necessary costs of preserving an estate.

The trustee handling Girardi Keese's bankruptcy case previously claimed in August 2021 court documents that the firm owed more than $101 million to creditors but only had approximately $4 million in assets. An auction held in September 2021, which included "Erika Jayne collectibles," raised more than $200,000.

Tom's legal woes came to light in December 2020 when he and estranged wife Erika Jayne were accused of embezzling $2 million in settlement funds from plane crash victims. (She was later dismissed from the case in Illinois.) The former attorney, 82, also allegedly mishandled his clients' money on more than one occasion. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who has denied any wrongdoing, filed for divorce from Tom in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage.

Erika, 50, was sued in February for allegedly aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty and financial elder abuse. Court documents obtained by Us at the time claimed that she "knew about the scheme" allegedly conducted by Tom to withhold money from his clients.

The reality star's lawyer told Us last month that the lawsuit was "another misguided effort to blame Erika for the conduct of others in which she had no part."

As for Tom, Us confirmed in March 2021 that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia and lost his law license. His brother, Robert Girardi, was named his permanent conservator in July 2021 after Tom objected one month prior, telling the court that he "disagree[d] with the conservatorship altogether." Tom moved into a senior living facility that specializes in memory care in August 2021.

The singer, meanwhile, addressed the allegations against Tom during the RHOBH season 11 reunion in October 2021. "It does not look good. However, we still need to get to the bottom of it. Only one side of the story has been told," she said. "I feel terrible. This is not who I am. And I hope this is not who he is. … I hope that he has not done what is alleged here."

Jersey Shore's Vinny: I'd 'Rather Jump Off' a Balcony Than Date Angelina

Setting his boundary. Vinny Guadagnino has made it clear that his relationship with Jersey Shore costar Angelina Pivarnick will never stray outside of the friend zone.

The MTV personality, 34, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, March 9, that “dating has been slow” as he prepares for his Chippendales stint in Las Vegas. When asked about whether he would consider a romance with Pivarnick, 35, following her split from husband Chris Larangeira, the New York native put his foot down.

“I’m on the 18th floor of my hotel. I would rather jump off this balcony than ever entertain one of those [dating] rumors,” Vinny joked as fans continue to speculate about the duo’s relationship. “I don’t know if people think that I’m, like, capping or I’m lying about this. Like, when I tell you there’s not an ounce of energy or anything in my body that has any kind of romantic attraction toward Angelina, I promise you. I do not.”

Angelina and Chris tied the knot in November 2019. Their wedding — which included a controversial toast from costars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Deena Nicole Cortese — was featured on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Throughout the spinoff, Angelina opened up about her less-than-ideal sex life with her then-husband.

“It’s, like, we’ll fight and then whoever starts the fight won’t want to bang,” the Couples Therapy alum said during a June 2021 episode, telling her castmates that intimacy was “nonexistent” for her since getting married. “So he don’t want to bang, I don’t want to bang, no one wants to bang.”

She continued at the time: “I’m not the most perfect wife ever. I yell at him, I’ll belittle him sometimes. I feel like we’re both wrong. But see how I’m admitting it to you? He won't ever admit that he’s wrong.”

Us later confirmed that Angelina had filed for divorce in January 2021, but the case was eventually dismissed. Though a source exclusively revealed in September 2021 that the twosome were “in a much better place,” they called it quits again the following January. Chris filed to end the pair’s marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” with “no reasonable prospect of reconciliation” in docs obtained by Us.

Before the estranged spouses split for good, Snooki, 34, exclusively shared her hopes for Angelina’s future — without Chris. “I feel like Angelina and Vinny are meant to be, and if she was single, they would definitely get together and have babies,” the Dancing With the Stars season 17 alum told Us in June 2021. “I feel like [they are] soulmates. So I don’t know why they’re fighting it.”

At the time, the Chile native explained that Vinny “doesn’t want to settle down” and was enjoying the “bachelor life,” adding, “I feel like eventually he’ll settle down and he’s like 50, but he’s not ready.”

On Wednesday, Vinny noted that his busy work schedule has made it more challenging to prioritize romance. “I’ve been, like, really working out to get in shape for this [Chippendales] show. And, like, when you work out, you can’t really go out, you know, like, I don’t want to drink and go get drinks and stay up till this time, you know?” he told Us, adding that he hasn’t been “actively” searching for The One right now.

When it comes to Angelina and Chris, the Double Shot at Love star doesn’t “really know what’s going on,” but he has read some “messy” details about the split online. While he may not be interested in his costar, Vinny thinks she might feel differently.

“She’d probably smash,” he teased. “You know, I’m a pretty good catch. So if I, like, wanted to, and I was like, ‘Yo Angelina, like, I really liked you.’ I mean … she wouldn’t say no, you know, but I don’t think she’s actively trying to get with me either.”

For now, the reality star is focusing on his Vegas journey. Vinny will be performing with the world-famous Chippendales for six weeks from March 11 to April 10, coinciding with the production’s 20th anniversary at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

“I’m not as nervous as I was the first time I did it. … We added some more dancing and the show itself, like, I feel like the production quality went up,” he hinted. “I’m jumping into more things, and I don’t wanna give it away, but you definitely see some cool stuff. … I’m always up for the challenge.”

On-Again, Off-Again Celebrity Couples

Posted: 10 Mar 2022 12:08 PM PST

Hot and cold! Some celebrity couples couldn’t help splitting — and later rekindling — multiples times in their relationships.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) dated off and on from 2015 to 2016 before they reconciled in June 2018 — just three months after the “Intentions” singer called it quits with Selena Gomez. Justin and the model tied the knot at a New York City courthouse in September 2018. One year later, they wed for a second time at a larger ceremony in South Carolina.

During their split, Hailey felt that her relationship with Justin would last for the long haul if they ever got back together.

"I think I always knew if we did ever work things out and get back together, it was going to be a situation where it was very serious and we were gonna get married or [it] was going to lead to that," the Drop the Mic host said on the Hillsong Channel in May 2020. "I didn't necessarily know what the timeline was gonna be. I just trusted and I think [it] was such a huge leap of faith … and I just trusted the people I knew [who] had watched me go through the whole journey with him, without him and then back together with him."

Hailey added that she always "hoped that he was a person I was gonna end up with," adding, "So when we got together [again], it was just, like, 'OK, I trust that this is supposed to be happening.'"

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, for their part, tied the knot in 2010. The pair welcomed two sons, Noah and Bodhi, before the Transformers actress filed for divorce from Green in 2015. Fox later called off the divorce and the couple welcomed their youngest son, Journey, in 2016.

Green announced their separation in May 2020 after nearly 10 years of marriage. “I will always love her," the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said on his "…With Brian Austin Green" podcast at the time. "And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special."

He added, “It sucks when life changes and something that you're used to, that you've been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change. There's the unknown aspect … there's that pit in my stomach … I really don't want Megan and I to be at odds … she's been my best friend for 15 years and I don't want to lose that."

Scroll down to revisit some on-again, off-again celebrity couples.

Elon Musk and Grimes
The pair were first linked in 2018. Following many ups and downs, Grimes announced that she was expecting her first child in January 2020 and welcomed their son, X AE A-XII, four months later. In September 2021, the Tesla CEO opened up about the duo's decision to redefine their relationship, saying, “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in L.A. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.” The songwriter later revealed the birth of her second child with Musk via surrogate. Their daughter Exa Dark Sideræl Musk — who they refer to as Y — arrived in December 2021. “I don’t know what I was thinking,” she told Vanity Fair about not sharing the news earlier. “Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there. I mean, I think E is really seeing him as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff.… X is out there. His situation is like that. But, yeah, I don’t know.” That same day, Grimes confirmed that she and Musk had called it quits since the interview. Shutterstock (2)
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and the Boston Celtics player sparked romance rumors in August 2016, making their couple debut one month later at Flo Rida’s birthday party in Miami. One year later, the Good American cofounder announced that the couple were expecting their first child together.  Thompson made headlines in April 2018 when news broke that he had cheated on his then-pregnant girlfriend with multiple women. Kardashian chose to stay with her man and the pair welcomed their daughter, True, the same month. However, the pair split in February 2019 after the basketball player was caught kissing Kylie Jenner’s then-BFF Jordyn Woods. Us exclusively confirmed in August 2020 that the pair were back together after quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic earlier that year. A source told Us at the time, “Khloé is hopeful that Tristan has changed for good and will continue to grow and be the great and loyal partner that he has been throughout their time together during the quarantine.” Nearly one year, Us confirmed in June 2021 that the duo called it quits again but are “amicable toward each other and will continue to coparent” their little one. The insider added, “There was no drama that broke them up, things just didn’t work out between the two of them.” The breakup news came one day after Kardashian detailed her ups and downs with Thompson during part two of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion, revealing that she was taking things “day by day” with the athlete following his cheating past. Cardi B and Offset
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper and the “Pure Water” singer began dating in February 2017, having their first date at Super Bowl LI in Houston. The pair tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Atlanta in September 2017 but didn’t announce that they were husband and wife until June 2018. Three months after their wedding, videos surfaced of Offset in bed with other women, but Cardi stuck by her husband’s side, with a source telling Us in December 2017 that she had “zero intention of leaving” him despite the scandal. The couple announced they were expecting their first child in April 2018 and welcomed daughter Kulture three months later. The Grammy winner revealed in December 2018 that she and Offset had called it quits after more than a year of marriage. Offset issued a public apology in December 2018 to Cardi and pleaded with her via Instagram in hopes of getting her back. Two months later, Cardi reconciled with the Migos rapper and the pair walked the 2019 Grammy Awards carpet together in February. In September 2020, Us confirmed that the “WAP” singer filed for divorce from her husband after nearly three years of marriage. Weeks later, Offset was spotted kissing Cardi in Las Vegas as she celebrated her 28th birthday. After her birthday bash, Cardi told fans during an Instagram live that she had been “starting to miss” Offset, which is why he was with her that weekend. A source told Us at the time that the “Be Careful” rapper “is still going through with the divorce,” but the estranged couple still “hook up occasionally.” Jason Merritt/Radarpics/Shutterstock
Scott Disick and Sofia Richie
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and the model were first linked in May 2017 following his split from Kourtney Kardashian. The couple moved in together in Calabasas, California, and Richie made appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Disick's E! show Flip It Like Disick. Us confirmed in May 2020 that they called it quits after the Talentless founder's brief stay in a Colorado rehab facility. Two months later, the pair appeared to be back on again, after being spotted at a 4th of July bash together in Malibu. Us confirmed in mid-August 2020, however, that they were “spending time apart.” INSTAR Images
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik
The model and Malik began dating in 2015 but called it quits on their relationship in March 2018. However, the duo were spotted kissing in New York City less than two months later. Us confirmed in January 2019 that the pair's romance had fizzled out for a second time. A source said at the time that Hadid “tried hard to make it work,” but Malik had “a lot of his own issues that she couldn’t help him get through." The twosome reunited again in January 2020 in New York City. Us confirmed three months later that Hadid and the former One Direction member were expecting their first child together. The “Pillowtalk” crooner announced the arrival of the couple’s daughter in September 2020. “The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding,” Malik wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of his little’s hand next to his. “Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.” Bukajlo Frederic/Sipa/Shutterstock
Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor
The America Idol host and model were first linked in March 2013. Since their start the pair has had many ups and downs. They split in December 2014 and reunited in 2016. Us confirmed in February 2019 that the radio host and chef called it quits again, but by September of that year, Seacrest hinted they had rekindled their romance. “It is our third time together,” the TV personality told Kelly Ripa on a May 2020, episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan. “It’s an eight-year run, but it’s our third run together. Listen, nothing’s perfect. You just keep trying until you get it right.” Nearly two months later, Us confirmed that the pair had split for the third time. “Ryan and Shayna decided to end their romantic relationship amicably some time ago,” Seacrest’s rep told Us in June 2020. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
Timberlake and Biel took a three-month break in 2011 only to reunite and get married in October 2012. “When they reunited, they had a conversation about taking the next step,” a source told Us at the time of their engagement. Us revealed the couple, who dated on and off for five years prior to their engagement, were expecting their first child in November 2014.The couple welcomed their son, Silas, in April 2015. The “Man of the Woods” crooner and the Sinner actress hit a bump in their relationship in November 2019, when Timberlake was spotted holding hands with his Palmer costar Alisha Wainwright. A source told Us exclusively that the two were “just friends,” but the images caused fans to question the musician’s relationship status with Biel since he didn’t appear to be wearing his wedding ring. A month later, Timberlake issued a public apology for his actions, calling it a “strong lapse in judgement” and insisted that “nothing happened between me and my costar.” He also apologized to Biel and his family for the situation. A source told Us in April that the coronavirus quarantine brought the pair “closer” and “having the main focus be each other and [son] Silas has been a good thing.” News broke in July 2020 that the couple secretly welcomed their second child. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
The “Swish, Swish” singer and Bloom first dated in 2016 for 10 months before calling it quits in 2017 — but not for long. After their breakup, they were spotted quietly hanging out in London in May 2017 and in February 2018, Us exclusively revealed they were hooking up again. In May 2018, Perry hinted that the two were official, saying she was “spoken for” during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.  The Lord of the Rings star proposed to Perry in February 2019. One year later, the "Teenage Dream" singer announced that they are expecting their first child together. The pair welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020. Dave M. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green
Being known as one of the sexiest couples in Hollywood doesn’t always guarantee both parties are at their happiest. In August 2015, after 11 years together, five years of marriage and welcoming two sons, Noah and Bodhi, Fox filed for divorce from Green. However, the 90210 alum wasn’t willing to go without a fight and he whisked the Transformers actress on a romantic vacation to Hawaii — the same place where they got married in 2010. Us exclusively revealed that the pair had reconciled and during that time, Fox got pregnant with their third child, Journey. In March 2018, the Jennifer’s Body star told Us that getting quality time together was essential to their relationship so “you remember why you like the person that you had kids with." Green confirmed in May 2020 that the couple called it quits after nearly 10 years of marriage. “I will always love her,” the California native said on his “…With Brian Austin Green” podcast at the time. “And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special.” The actor noted that he and Fox had been apart since the end of 2019, before addressing photos that surfaced of his estranged wife and Machine Gun Kelly a few days prior. “Megan and I have talked about him. They’re just friends at this point,” he said of the singer, whom Fox met while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in March. Giulio Marcocchi/startraksphoto.com
Kendall Jenner and Ben Simmons
The model and the NBA star were first linked in May 2018. Four months later, the first signs of trouble kicked in, with a source confirming to Us Weekly that the pair called it quits. “Kendall just loves being with her friends. That’s her main priority right now,” the insider told Us at the time. In the months after their initial breakup, the pair started “hooking up” again. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was even spotted hanging out with the pro athlete’s mom at a handful of Philadelphia 76ers games. Alas, come May 2019, the former couple split again. “Things have wound down between them,” said another insider. “They aren’t seeing each other anymore.” James Devaney/GC Images
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin
Baldwin adored Bieber way before she met him — she was a huge Belieber before the pair started dating in 2015, evidenced by tweets from over the years. In January 2016, the pair rang in the New Year together in Anguilla, with the model sharing a black-and-white photo of her arms around the "Friends" crooner while the singer shared his own steamy photo of them kissing. After Baldwin asked Bieber to settle down with her, the “Love Yourself” singer called her “someone I really love” in an interview with GQ in February 2016. They later went their separate ways, with Bieber spending time with Kourtney Kardashian and Baldwin being linked to Drake and Shawn Mendes . While the pair were "off," Bieber briefly reunited with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez until they broke up for good in March 2018. Us exclusively revealed that Baldwin and the “Sorry” singer were hooking up again in June 2018 when they were spotted hanging out in Miami — and a few weeks later, Bieber proposed in the Bahamas. The couple tied the knot at a New York City courthouse in September 2018 and had a big ceremony a year later in South Carolina. FZS/MEGA
Halsey and G-Eazy
The “Bad at Love” singer and the “No Limit” rapper sparked romance rumors in the summer of 2017 following his split from Lana del Rey. They made things Instagram official in September of that year, but after nine months of dating, the duo called it quits. Halsey confirmed the news to fans with an Instagram Story in July 2018. “I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans. G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart,” she wrote. One month later, the pair rekindled their romance at an afterparty for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, with a source revealing to Us in September that they were “figuring things out.” “They aren’t trying to hide the fact that their relationship is complicated,” the source shared, adding, “They were so serious before and now they don’t feel that same pressure to define it." Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley
The Jersey Shore star and his girlfriend have had several ups and downs since they began dating in July 2017. Weeks after welcoming daughter Ariana in April 2018, they exchanged insults in since-deleted Instagram Story videos. In June, the pair got into a physical altercation while the MTV cast filmed season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in Las Vegas. The following month, however, the pair appeared to be back together as they celebrated the Fourth of July with their family. Ortiz-Magro and Harley's relationship ended once again in October 2019 after an altercation that resulted in the MTV personality being charged with seven misdemeanors, including domestic violence. He accepted a plea deal in May 2020 and was sentenced to 36 months of probation.  Courtesy of Jen Harley/Instagram
Chris Evans and Jenny Slate
The Avengers star and Slate made their first public appearance as a couple at the New York premiere of The Secret Life of Pets in May 2016. However, Us exclusively revealed they were no longer together in February 2017. The former flames started hanging out again during the holiday season that year but in March 2018, the New York Times revealed during a profile of Evans that the pair had broken up once again.  Emma McIntyre/Getty Images
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber
These two love birds call it quits so often it's honestly almost impossible to keep track. Bieber and Gomez were first linked together in December 2010 but didn't make their official public debut until February 2011. The couple's endless series of splits began in November 2012 and continued until 2015. Us exclusively revealed that the “Love Yourself” singer and Gomez had gotten back together once again in November 2017 and their brief rekindled romance saw the pair going on various romantic getaways. They later ended things in March 2018 and sources told Us at the time that the split was “mainly because of Selena’s mom and her disapproval of Justin.” While Gomez and Bieber may have gotten back together over the years, this time was likely their last — Bieber proposed to Hailey Baldwin in July 2018, writing on Instagram, “You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else.” Steve Granitz/WireImage
Audrina Patridge and Corey Bohan
After dating on and off for five years, the couple ended their relationship in July 2014. In October that same year, the former Hills star was spotted out with the BMXer at a Halloween party and the two appeared to be back on. The reality star and Bohan married in an intimate Hawaii wedding in November 2016 after welcoming daughter Kirra, who was born in June 2016. Despite trying to make things work, Patridge filed for divorce on September 20, 2018, and was granted a temporary restraining order a week later. After accusing the BMX rider of aggressive behavior and citing various alleged domestic violence incidents, she went back to another former boyfriend: Ryan Cabrera.  Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage
Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran
After dating for a year, Brown told Us in 2012 that he wanted to be single and focus on his career. Fast-forward to July 2013 and the couple appeared to be back on, stepping out together numerous times and sharing lovey-dovey Instagrams with one another. Following the end of Brown's jail time in June 2014, the stylist threw the rapper a welcome home party. Their rocky relationship ended for good after Tran found out that Brown had a secret daughter who was born during their relationship — and the rapper didn’t go away quietly, sharing disturbing and threatening videos on social media in February 2017. Tran was later granted a five-year restraining order against Brown in June 2017. The rapper later extended an olive branch on March 24, 2018, when he commented “They look really good together” with a praying emoji on a photo of Tran and her boyfriend, Victor Cruz. Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas
Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas met through Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie and dated for two years before calling it quits in April 2014. Following their split, however, the two were spotted together in September. A source told Us of the prince and Bonas: "Harry is the type to want to take breathers and then try again." The royal eventually married Duchess Markle in a highly publicized wedding on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in London. However, there were no hard feelings between Prince Harry and Bonas — the model even attended the nuptials. Karwai Tang/WireImage
John Mayer and Katy Perry
These two just couldn't make up their mind until officially splitting in 2014. Perry started dating Mayer following her divorce from Russell Brand in the summer of 2012. The two called things off that fall, only to rekindle their romance and then split again in March 2013. After reuniting a final time in June, the singers officially split in February 2014. Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson
Christensen and Bilson spent time apart from each other during their on again, off again relationship. The couple met in 2007 on set of Jumper and got engaged in December 2008, only to call it off in August 2010. Three months later, however, the couple were back on. Us broke the news in September 2017 that the pair had officially called it quits. Bilson and Christensen welcomed their daughter Briar in October 2014. Michael Buckner/Getty Images for Torch
Sienna Miller and Jude Law
On and off for three years, Jude Law and Sienna Miller put an end to their roller-coaster romance in 2006, after calling it quits on their engagement in 2004 following Law's affair with his children's nanny. The Factory Girl star later married Tom Sturridge — with whom she shares daughter Marlow — before they filed for divorce after four years together in July 2015. In 2016, Miller — who was later linked to Brad Pitt in 2017 — said of Law, “I care about him enormously.” Larry Busacca/Getty Images North America
Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama
Lovato remained coy about her relationship with Valderrama in the first few years of their romance, which began in 2010. But by 2014, the couple started to publicly address one another on Twitter and in Instagram photos. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer and Valderrama split in June 2016 after six years of dating, but they remained friendly. In August 2017, Lovato celebrated her 25th birthday alongside the That 70’s Show star. The former couple were later spotted showing major PDA during a lunch date in February 2018, where an eyewitness revealed they had their arms around each other. Despite being broken up, Valderrama visited Lovato at the hospital in July 2018, following her accidental overdose. “He seemed really down and looked sad,” an insider told Us at the time. “He stayed for around three hours.” The Ranch actor proposed to model Amanda Pacheco in January 2020 after eight months of dating. Three months later, Lovato revealed she was no longer in touch with her ex, but told Harper’s Bazaar that she wishes him “nothing but the best.” Jeff Vespa/Getty Images for Topshop Topman

Speaking his truth. Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey, who will be at the center of the period drama's upcoming second season, opened up about hiding his sexuality at the start of his onscreen career.

The 33-year-old actor came out to his friends and family in his 20s, but he endured prejudice in the television world, revealing that he was deeply affected by the advice an actor friend received from someone in the industry.

"At the time, he was told, 'There’s two things we don’t want to know: if you’re an alcoholic or if you’re gay,'" the British star recalled to GQ during an interview published on Wednesday, March 9, relaying how much those words had an impact on him. "All it takes is for one of those people in that position of power to say that, and it ripples through. So, yeah, of course I thought that. Of course I thought that in order to be happy I needed to be straight."

Bailey is serious about his craft, telling the magazine, "In 20 years, you don’t want to be famous. You want a sustained career." However, he eventually realized that his happiness and the freedom to be himself comes before everything.

"I reached a point where I thought, 'F—k this, I’d much prefer to hold my boyfriend’s hand in public or be able to put my own face picture on Tinder and not be so concerned about that than getting a part," the Olivier Award winner explained.

The Crashing alum has been outspoken about homophobia in the entertainment industry before. In March 2021, Bailey spoke to the Evening Standard about the "history of needing to be closeted to succeed and be famous, especially in acting." The Broadchurch actor, who portrays the heterosexual Lord Anthony Bridgerton on the Shonda Rhimes-produced Netflix series, scoffed at "the idea of not being able to believe heterosexual relations and narrative if you know one of the actors is gay," noting, "Everyone should be able to play absolutely everything."

Still, he pointed out, "There just aren't that many gay roles, so when straight actors go to take that space up, it's eliminating the chance for other [gay actors].”

As for those fan-favorite "relations" in which his character partakes on the show, Bailey doesn't exactly see himself as a Hollywood hunk.

"Any actor who thinks they’re a sex symbol? Cringe," he told GQ.

Season 2 of Bridgerton premieres on Netflix March 25.
