Snooki! Pauly D! ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast’s Dating Histories

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 03:18 PM PDT

Showing it all! When Jersey Shore premiered on MTV in 2009, viewers got to watch the personal lives of eight housemates from New Jersey — and many fans are still keeping up with the group.

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro‘s on and off relationship quickly became a large story line as they tried to make things work. Following many fights and splits, Giancola and Ortiz-Magro initially stayed together when the series wrapped in 2012.

Less than two years later, however, Ortiz-Magro confirmed that the pair split for good. “Me and Sammi aren’t together anymore,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2014. “We just grew our separate ways. She’s still a great person. I love her as a person and I care about her but we went our separate ways. That’s it.”

In 2018, Giancola was the only original cast member not to sign on to film the Jersey Shore spinoff series.

"Everyone was invited to come on the show but Sammi was the only one who didn't want to. A big reason for that was because she didn't want to be around Ronnie," a source told Us at the time. "She has been enjoying her life off of TV and didn't want to change that."

Since her decision to leave reality TV behind, Giancola got engaged to longtime boyfriend Christian Biscardi in 2020. One year later, she sparked breakup speculation after she was spotted not wearing her engagement ring multiple times. Giancola later deleted all of her posts of Biscardi from her social media.

In July 2021, Giancola confirmed that she was single via a TikTok video. At the time, another insider revealed to Us that the duo “split amicably.”

"There was no drama,” the source noted. “They planned on getting married in 2020 but then Covid hit and they had to reschedule their wedding date. Eventually, they just called it off completely.”

Giancola has since moved on with Justin May. Ortiz-Magro, for his part, made headlines when he was arrested in April 2021 following an alleged domestic violence dispute. Amid the news, he announced that he would be taking a break from filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation after appearing in the first four seasons.

His legal team issued a statement to Us noting that the New York native would be "seeking medical treatment for psychological issues that he has ignored for a long time."

Two months after his arrest, Ronnie announced that he and his girlfriend, Saffire Matos, are engaged.

Getting to the bottom of things. Jenelle Evans finally has a diagnosis after years of unexplained health problems — but she is still looking for more answers.

Jenelle Evans Through the Years

“I now know why my body is acting the way it does and it explains a lot," the Teen Mom 2 alum told E! News on Friday, March 11. "I never knew what fibromyalgia was until my doctor diagnosed me.”

Fibromyalgia is "a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues," according to the Mayo Clinic. Stars like Lady Gaga, Kyle Richards and Morgan Freeman all suffer from the debilitating health issue as well.

As for her symptoms, Evans detailed years of "extremely bad tension headaches and full body aches — like I had the flu, but was not sick. My entire body gets in so much pain and sometimes I lay in bed and cry. [For] a long time, no one believed my symptoms until I got a second opinion from a new neurologist recently.”

However, the mom of three — who also explained that she has suffered from back and neck problems, as well as sinus issues — noted in a TikTok on Sunday, March 13, that she "didn't stop" at "the fibromyalgia diagnosis … because I felt like I couldn't breathe."

The North Carolina native revealed that she also had a checkup with her lung doctor and explained that the FeNO test she took — which "can help determine how much inflammation (irritation or swelling) you have in your airways," per the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute — was "abnormally low." Therefore, she detailed, "I have been prescribed an inhaler [and] nitroglycerin for my esophagus spasms."

Evans listed several possible causes for the test results in the comments section of her TikTok upload: "COPD, anemic, cystic fibrosis, etc. lots of issues," she wrote, as well as asthma.

In addition to her health issues, Evans has had a tumultuous few years after being fired from Teen Mom 2 in April 2019, after husband David Eason — whom she has been married to since 2017 — shot and killed their dog, Nugget, in February 2018.

In May 2019, Evans, along with Eason, temporarily lost custody of their daughter Ensley, 5, and Evans lost custody of Kaiser, 7, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith, due to Eason's violent actions — though her custody was reinstated in July 2019. (Evans is also mom of Jace, 12, whose father is Andrew Lewis, but Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans, has had custody of Jace for most of his life.)

"Throughout this long process and final decision, I am excited to be moving forward and continuing to show America I'm a good parent," the YouTuber told Us Weekly at the time.

Still, Evans' relationship with Eason quickly soured, and she publicly accused him of abuse. In October 2019, the former reality star revealed that she was divorcing the father of three. She also announced that she had moved herself, Ensley and Kaiser away from Eason — but reconciled with him a few months later.

"A lot of our disagreements were just bickering and arguing. To me, I felt like we can work through that, especially if we went to marriage counseling and we went to parenting counseling before we'd been to marriage counseling," she exclusively told Us in March 2020. "I'm just glad we got over it. Things are a lot better. I think before I wasn't sure, but now I'm really secure with my marriage. And I really do think this is forever, especially because lately we've been really getting along, like, for longer periods of time than before."

Today Evans frequently shares TikTok videos with Eason and her children, though she often receives backlash for her controversial clips, including a recent video in which Eason put on a scary voice and pretended to lure Ensley and Kaiser into the woods.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin: A Timeline of Their Relationship

Sorry, Beliebers — there’s only one girl Justin Bieber has eyes for! After facing plenty of ups and downs in their relationship, the heartthrob finally sealed the deal with Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin), and the pair have been going strong ever since.

The couple tied the knot in September 2018 at a New York City courthouse and held a second, more traditional ceremony with friends and family in South Carolina a year later. Two years before tying the knot privately, the “One Less Lonely Girl” crooner predicted that he might have found The One.

“What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged,” he told GQ in the magazine’s March 2016 cover story. “It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard. … I just don't want to hurt her.”

The pair separated as Justin rekindled his on-off relationship with Selena Gomez in late 2017, but they found their way back to each other in June 2018 during a cozy vacation in Miami. One month later, the pop star confirmed that he and the model were engaged.

“Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else.”

One month before their courthouse wedding, an insider told Us Weekly that Hailey was a positive influence in the Grammy winner’s life.

“Hailey has calmed Justin down a lot, and she has changed him as a man. He thinks she is his forever and considers her his best friend and soulmate,” the source said in August 2018. “Justin is over his crazy phase, and is more approachable and has been talking to lots of fans when he's out. He's happy to show the world that Hailey is his girl and he feels at ease with her.”

Justin revealed that his marriage with Hailey wasn't easy and required the twosome to really work on things. “The first year of marriage was really tough because there was a lot going back to the trauma. There was just a lack of trust,” he told GQ in April 2021. “There was all these things that you don’t want to admit to the person that you’re with, because it’s scary. You don’t want to scare them off by saying, ‘I’m scared.’” Although the pair faced obstacles in their relationship, the Canada native added that it was all worth it. “We’re just creating these moments for us as a couple, as a family, that we’re building these memories. And it’s beautiful that we have that to look forward to. Before, I didn’t have that to look forward to in my life,” he added at the time. “I didn’t have a significant other. I didn’t have someone to love. I didn’t have someone to pour into.” Broadimage/Shutterstock

After a clip went viral of Justin seemingly speaking very loudly to his wife as they left a club together, the Arizona native took to social media to clarify that her husband wasn't yelling at her. “Reminiscing on how amazing last weekend was. Make sure I put my family first and hopefully we squoosh out a nugget," the Grammy winner told his wife during Amazon Prime Video's Justin Bieber: Our World, clarifying that he'd want to "start trying" for a baby at the end of 2021. In the same documentary, Justin gushed about how "good" his marriage has been for his mental health. "Now that I have a partner to be able to spend my life with, it’s been really good ... for my heart, my spirit," the "Holy" singer said. Hailey opened up about why she hesitates to dole out relationship advice, telling The Ellen DeGeneres Show guest host Yvonne Orji that she's no "expert" when it comes to maintaining a healthy marriage. "I'm newly married. I got married quickly. I'm still taking it a day at a time and I'm still learning a lot," Hailey explained. "Having the time to be on your own and having the experience to be single and just, like, travel and having had that time I think was the most important thing. That was the biggest thing for me was that I had my own life experience before I joined my whole entire life with somebody and had my own identity and comfortable in my own skin." Earlier that month, the model said on the "In Good Faith with Chelsea & Judah Smith" podcast that Justin's struggle with sobriety was hard on her as a partner. "I know for a fact that I’ve loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn’t do that to him," she said at the time. Days after attending Justin’s L.A. concert, Hailey was admitted to a Palm Springs area hospital on March 10 after experiencing “stroke like symptoms.” The model opened up about her health scare two days later via her Instagram Stories. “They found I had suffered a very small blood clot in my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours,” she explained, assuring her followers that she was “doing well” after returning home. Love Is Blind's Deepti and Kyle Spotted Grabbing Brunch in Chicago

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 01:24 PM PDT

A second chance at love? Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati didn’t end up with their respective fiancés on Love is Blind, but the pair may have found love outside of the pods.

After the construction worker confessed that his “biggest regret” was not proposing to Deepti during the season 2 reunion, fans of the Netflix reality show began speculating that a romance was blossoming between the two contestants. “I should have tried harder for [Deepti],” Kyle said at the time. “I love her so much, she’s the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me and that’s my biggest regret. I’m sorry.”

Though his declaration of love surprised viewers, Deepti wasn’t particularly shocked by the depth of his feelings. “A lot of people don't know that Kyle and I had a really deep connection in the pods,” Deepti told New York Magazine in March 2022. “He was my No. 2 person, so it wasn't out of the blue. We do have this foundational bond. It was heartwarming and so sweet to hear.”

As for their relationship, she continued: “The speculation is hilarious. We're playing with [fans] a little bit, but it's funny. Kyle and I have such a beautiful friendship.”

Kyle, for his part, fueled the romance rumors around the same time, posting multiple TikTok videos of him spending time with the information data analyst. In early March, he shared a clip from an event, panning over to reveal Deepti standing behind him before he smiled at the camera. The day after, Kyle posted a video from a Chicago Fire soccer game featuring a hand that appeared to belong to his fellow contestant.

In the pods, Deepti accepted a proposal from Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee before calling it quits on their wedding day on the finale. The veterinarian earned a great deal of backlash for repeatedly admitting during the experiment that he didn’t find his then-partner physically attractive — including from Kyle, who accused him of “wast[ing] such a good opportunity” with her.

“There's a lot of things that he said that he didn't say to my face and [things] I've heard from other cast members," Deepti told Us Weekly exclusively in February ahead of the finale. “I just don't have room for anybody in my life that doesn't see me in the best way. And who could even think those types of thoughts, I guess. I knew what I had to do [on our wedding day]. No one should have doubts about me, and I deserve the best. So, it's, like, if you're not gonna be able to offer it for me, then there's no chance I'm staying.”

While it’s unclear whether Kyle can offer Deepti the things she’s looking for in a relationship, the duo has teased that they might be more than friends.

Keep scrolling to see everything they have said about a potential post-show romance:

Deserving the Best
"I knew what I had to do," Deepti told Us ahead of the Netflix series’ finale in February 2022 about her decision to end things with Shake. "No one should have doubts about me [on our wedding day] and I deserve the best. So it’s, like, if you’re not gonna be able to offer it for me, then there’s no chance I’m staying." Adrian S. Burrows Sr./Netflix
His Biggest Regret
"I have a huge regret. Biggest regret is I should have asked Deepti to marry me," Kyle admitted during the reunion, which aired in March 2022. ”That's what I learned the most [from the experience]. I f—ked up." Ser Baffo/Netflix (2)
Looking Back at Everything
Kyle reiterated those thoughts in a conversation with Us, revealing that if he could do the experiment over again, he would make different choices. “I think I would have tried harder with my two other loves," he said in March 2022. "I felt like I gave up on one person in particular, and I should have tried way harder. It’s a huge regret of mine, actually." Patrick Wymore/Netflix
Figuring it Out
Amid speculation that she and Kyle had begun dating, Deepti told Elite Daily that the pair were "figuring it out" in the real world. “Not a lot of people know that we had a really strong connection in the pods," she said. "I was really struggling to pick between Shake and Kyle. We’re just trying to figure it out. There’s a lot on our plate right now. We’ll see what happens." Patrick Wymore/Netflix
Did Deepti Find Love?
Three days later, Deepti posted another photo from the reunion, this one featuring all of the contestants who attended, with the comment "Oh, but I did find love." Kyle posted a teasing comment in response, writing simply, "Did you?" Courtesy of Kyle Abrams/TikTok
An Unexpected Feud
After Shake accused Kyle of being a "serial cheater" ahead of the reunion, Deepti revealed that she wasn't sure why her ex-fiancé was so upset with their costar. "Kyle has never done anything to Shake," she told E! News. "Kyle and I were close, so I don't know if that's where it stemmed from, but he knew that we were close this entire time, so it's nothing new for him. It was confusing to me just like the rest of the world, honestly." Adam Rose/Netflix
Still Hanging Out
During a March 2022 appearance on the "We Have the Receipts" podcast, Deepti said that she and Kyle have remained friends since the show wrapped. "Kyle and I hang out all the time, even before reunion," she explained. "He's, like, my best friend. So, I don't know, we'll see where it goes." When cohost Lauren Speed-Hamilton noted that friends often become lovers, Deepti replied: "That's the best way, build a friendship first. Let's see if it goes anywhere. We'll see how it goes." Ser Baffo/Netflix
A 'Beautiful' Thing
“It’s just really beautiful,” Love Is Blind cohost Vanessa Lachey exclusively told Us in March 2022 of the pair’s potential rekindled romance. “It's back to the pods, you know, and this is part of the experiment [that] continues on after the show. So, the foundation is the emotional connection and [Deepti] did have a connection with [Kyle]. And then you add in the layers of the physical world and … your families, your friends, your jobs, your background and that actually worked in their favor.” She added: “I think it's exciting to already know you have that connection then to continue it in the real world, after the show is wrapped, that's a beautiful thing.” Courtesy of Netflix
Brunch Sighting
In March 2022, a fan spotted Kyle and Deepti out and about in Chicago. In a video shared via TikTok, a woman stepped out of a restaurant to let the duo know that there was no wait at the restaurant they'd just walked by. "Let me buy you guys a mimosa!" she said. After a quick conference, the twosome turned around and walked back, seemingly taking the woman up on her offer. Courtesy of awkvanmills/TikTok

American Idol’s Sam Finelli: 5 Things to Know About the Autistic Singer

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 12:45 PM PDT

Not a dry eye in the house. American Idol viewers were blown away by Sam Finelli‘s audition during the third week of auditions — as were the judges.

“I kind of shy away from singing with people,” the Georgia native, 28, told judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan during the Sunday, March 13 episode of the long-running competition show. “I’m going to be honest with y’all. I never thought that I would be here in a million years.”

Finelli’s mother, Suzie, who accompanied him to the auditions, revealed that he has high-functioning autism and has always found comfort and support in singing. “Music helped Sam a lot,” she told the American Idol cameras before his performance. “He’d just put his earbuds in and that’s how he learned to cope.”

Despite his nerves, Finelli was ready to pursue his dream and sang an emotional rendition of “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves that brought the trio of judges to tears. “You told us about your struggles. Now, you walk out here — after no other experience — to American Idol and you have three judges giving you a standing ovation,” Richie, 72, told Finelli after he finished singing. “I want you to know right now, we are so proud of you.”

The “All Night Long” singer continued: “Sam, you were born enough. And what we consider your handicap is your gift. You understand me? You are enough.”

Perry, 37, was equally effusive, telling the aspiring singer that he picked “the perfect song” to audition with. “There’s always been a rainbow hanging over your head,” the “California Gurls” singer added. “All that you have to do is let go of all that fear and that negativity and always sing from your heart. That’s all you have to do. And that’s exactly what you did just then.”

With everyone in the room, including Finelli and his mother, holding back tears, all three judges voted to send him through to the next round of competition.

“I hope to inspire people to chase their dreams no matter what challenges they may be facing,” Finelli wrote via Instagram before his American Idol audition aired. “I never would [have] thought in a million years my dreams would ever come true. But, I'm living proof of that. Everyone has DIFFERENT successes and success comes in all shapes and sizes, and mine just happened to be this day when I got to perform for the 3 Idol judges.”

Keep scrolling to learn even more about Finelli as he prepares to continue to wow everyone in Hollywood:

He’s A Longtime ‘American Idol’ Fan
Even just getting to audition for Richie, Perry and Bryan, 45, was a dream come true for Finelli. "I love American Idol," he told cameras before his performance. "It showcases people's talents that maybe, they might be afraid to show themselves." Though it too him years to work up the courage to try out for the long-running singing competition, Finelli decided to take a chance before it was too late. "I'm 28. I wanted to at least try before [I reach] the age limit for Idol. It's time to give it a shot," he said, referring to the rule that contestants cannot be older than 29 when they try out.  ABC
His Audition Song Was Special to Him
"Rainbow" has always been a song that meant a lot to Finelli. "It's gotten me through some hardships [and] and some hard times," he told Idol cameras after winning his golden ticket. "I also sang it for my grandmother, who was dying of cancer." Describing his grandmother as his "biggest supporter," Finelli revealed that he knew she would have been proud of his audition: "I think today she was with me. So, I sang that song for her." ABC/Eric McCandless
He Describes Music as His ‘Best Friend’
Though Finelli doesn't want to be defined by his disabilities, they made it difficult for him to connect with people when he was growing up. "I was always different as a kid," he explained. "It was lonely growing up, but music is my best friend."  ABC
He Works at a Bakery
The Idol hopeful currently works as a bakery cashier "to kind of put myself out there" and meet new people, but he has big dreams. "I hope in the future for more. I think for myself, I'd [want] more," Finelli said, before telling host Ryan Seacrest that singing is his "dream" job. Courtesy of Sam Finelli/Instagram
He Only Sang at Karaoke Before His Audition
The self-described "shy" musician never performed for an audience before deciding to give American Idol a shot. "I've done some karaoke around our town, and that was pretty exciting. And that's about it," Finelli told the judges. Later, he confessed to the cameras, "Right now, I sing in my bedroom. Right now, I sing in my basement. Right now, I sing in the shower." ABC

A line in the sand. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have reached their breaking point with Kanye West — and they’re not backing down.

Everything to Know About Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Divorce

“Pete stepped in because he couldn’t take seeing Kanye continue to throw Kim under the bus anymore,” an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly of the Saturday Night Live star, 28. “He truly wants a one-on-one talk with Kanye and wants it to be handled privately.”

The King of Staten Island actor made headlines on Sunday, March 13, when alleged text messages he sent to the Grammy winner, 44, appeared on social media. The New York City native is not active on Twitter or Instagram, but the screenshots of the messages were shared via his friend Dave Sirus‘ account. Sirus is an SNL writer who has previously shared messages on behalf of his friend.

"Yo it's Skete, Can you please take a second and calm down," Davidson allegedly wrote to the rapper. "It's 8am and it don't gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I've ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f–king lucky that she's your kids mom. I've decided I'm not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I'm done being quiet. Grow the f–k up."

According to the insider, the comedian decided to make a move because he was tired of West’s public criticism of the Skims founder, 41.

“Pete and Kim continue to get harassed, and Pete’s had enough of seeing Kim being made out to be the villain,” the source tells Us. “Pete didn’t want to text Kanye, but he was pushed to the limit.”

One day after the alleged texts appeared online, the reality star clapped back after West accused her of keeping him away from their children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. The drama began when the Yeezy designer shared a photo of a black backpack with three pins on it: an alien, Kardashian and West.

"This was on my daughter's backpack when I was 'allowed' to see her last week," the “Heartless” singer wrote via Instagram, referencing North. "This is why I go so hard for my family I am wired to protect my family at all cost[s]. As the priest of my home Don't worry Northy God is still alive."

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum replied in the comments, writing: "Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school."

Over the weekend, West alleged in a since-deleted Instagram video that the custody arrangement between the former spouses is not fair. “I have a say-so,” he said in the clip. “And when people say, 'they're gonna use this [against] you in court,' I didn't even have a say-so whether or not they went to [their school], Sierra Canyon. Most men do not — there's no such thing has 50-50 custody in society today. It always leans toward the mom."

The Selfish author filed for divorce from the “Famous” artist in February 2021. Earlier this month, a judge declared Kardashian legally single and restored her maiden name.

In February, the beauty mogul filed documents requesting that the court take the next steps with regard to the duo’s divorce. "I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so,” she stated in the legal paperwork. “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and coparenting on social media which has created emotional distress."

"After listening to the doctors, she now feels much better and less scared," the insider adds. “Hailey is feeling great and going about her life again.”

The model made headlines on Saturday, March 12, after she spoke out about the terrifying ordeal.

"On Thursday morning, I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital," the Arizona native shared via her Instagram Story. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot in my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours."

Hailey admitted that it was "definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been though," but assured her followers that she was home and "doing well" after being admitted to a Palm Springs area hospital.

"I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me," she concluded on Saturday. "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love."

“Sound on,” the veterinarian, 33, wrote in an Instagram Story posted on Monday, March 14. “@NickLachey not even opening the car door for his wife. Sad.”

The video showed the 98 Degrees singer, 48, and his ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, getting into their car in a parking lot. “You don’t wanna open the door for me?” the Open Book author, 41, asked her then-husband. “No,” the Masked Singer winner replied.

“At the beginning of our marriage, you were so eager to open the door for me,” Simpson said. Lachey quipped back: “That’s because at the beginning of our marriage I got laid.”

The Ohio native and the “Irresistible” singer, who tied the knot in October 2002, split in December 2005. The early days of their marriage were documented on Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, which aired from August 2003 to March 2005.

The Dancing With the Stars alum has since moved on with Vanessa Lachey, with whom he hosts Love Is Blind. Chatterjee has been feuding with the couple, who wed in 2011, since the Love Is Blind season 2 reunion debuted earlier this month.

During the reunion, the cohosts put the controversial contestant on blast for prioritizing looks above all when the premise of the show focuses on getting to know someone without knowing anything about their appearance.

"Love is not purely blind to me,” he replied. “I want it to be partially blind. I want it to be: 'Love Is Blurry,' OK?"

Later in the episode, Chatterjee told the NCIS: Hawai’i star, 41, that she was the only woman on the show that he found attractive. After the reunion debuted, Chatterjee called out Nick in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“You put a doctor on the show… of course you were going to see some critical thinking," he wrote on March 7. "Speaking of which, @nicklachey you're a massive twat for your comment dragging vets. You do realize that becoming a veterinarian considerably more difficult than becoming a human doc right? Also consider learning how to be an impartial host before the season 3 reunion airs. Sorry I didn't play along with your narrative like the rest of these puppets. Say hi to @vanessalachey for me."

Later that week, Chatterjee’s ex-fiancée, Deepti Vempati, claimed that he tried to flirt with Vanessa another time during filming, but the moment was cut.

After the reunion, the Lacheys opened up about making the special, which they said took three or fours hours to film.

"There's really no way to predict or know how anyone is gonna act at any given point," Nick exclusively told Us Weekly. "So, I didn't go in with any kind of expectation. I knew there were certainly some things that people felt like they wanted to get some closure on, and I think that those were accomplished for the most part."

Jane Campion Apologizes for Serena, Venus Williams Dig: I 'Celebrate You'

A poor choice of words? Jane Campion is speaking out after her 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards comment about Serena Williams and Venus Williams drew backlash.

The 67-year-old filmmaker took home the Best Director trophy for The Power of the Dog on Sunday, March 13, and she mentioned the tennis superstars while accepting the honor. Venus, 41, and Serena, 40, attended the awards show in support of King Richard, the film based on their father’s life.

“Venus and Serena, you’re such marvels,” Campion said on stage. “However, you don’t play against the guys, like I have to.”

One day later, the New Zealand native issued a statement addressing the controversy. “I made a thoughtless comment equating what I do in the film world with all that Serena Williams and Venus Williams have achieved. I did not intend to devalue these two legendary Black women and world-class athletes,” Campion noted on Monday, March 14, per Variety. “The fact is the Williams sisters have, actually, squared off against men on the court (and off), and they have both raised the bar and opened doors for what is possible for women in this world.”

The screenwriter continued: “The last thing I would ever want to do is minimize remarkable women. I love Serena and Venus. Their accomplishments are titanic and inspiring. Serena and Venus, I apologize and completely celebrate you.”

The athletes didn’t publicly comment on Campion’s remark. For years, they’ve been known as some of the greatest in their sport, with Serena earning 23 Grand Slam singles titles and four Olympic gold medals. Venus, for her part, joins Serena as the only female tennis player in the Open Era to win Olympic golds in both singles and doubles category.

Like the Williams sisters, Campion is a boundary breaker in her field. She is the first woman to be nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Director: first for The Piano in 1994 and again this year for The Power of the Dog. On Sunday, she was the only female nominee in her category alongside Paul Thomas Anderson, Kenneth Branagh, Guillermo del Toro, Steven Spielberg and Denis Villeneuve.

Shortly before she raised eyebrows on stage, the producer earned praise for her defense of The Power of the Dog, which stars Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Benedict Cumberbatch and more. Earlier this month, Sam Elliott dissed the film for its portrayal of the old American West — but Campion wasn’t fazed.

“I’m sorry, he was being a little bit of a B-I-T-C-H. He’s not a cowboy; he’s an actor,” she said on the red carpet at the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday, March 12. “The West is a mythic space and there’s a lot of room on the range. I think it’s a little bit sexist.”

Elliott, 77, wasn’t pleased with the movie’s gay themes and even went so far as to compare the characters to Chippendales performers. Along with Campion, Plemons, 33, didn’t appear to be bothered by the criticism.

“I don’t know why I reacted this way, but — I’m not going to say it made me happy, but it made me laugh. I don’t know,” the Friday Night Lights alum said on Saturday. “People can have their own opinions about something. I know there are different layers to that … but not everyone has to like it.”

Simon Rex: How Meghan Markle Thanked Me for Not ‘Lying’ About Relationship

Offering her gratitude. After Simon Rex turned down an alleged bribe to lie about dating Meghan Markle, the actor received a sweet note from the Suits alum.

During an interview with The Guardian, Rex, 47, recalled being approached by the U.K. press to fabricate a relationship with the Duchess of Sussex, 40. "I was broke as f–k! I really needed the money. But I'll be on food stamps before I do that," the Scary Movie star recently revealed.

Rex later was sent a thank you letter from the former actress which reportedly read, “It's nice to know there are still good people.” The What I Like About You alum has since framed that note in his California home.

The comedian previously opened up about getting an offer to share false stories after working with Meghan on a show in the past.

“Nothing happened. We never even kissed,” Rex, who appeared on the 2005 series Cuts with the California native, told the “Hollywood Raw” podcast in March 2020. “It was just, like, we hung out once in a very non-datey way. She was just someone I had met on a TV show and we got lunch. That was the extent of it.”

The Red Rocket star turned down $70,000 because he didn’t “feel right lying” when it came to the royal family.

Meghan was the subject of numerous false stories from the British tabloids after she started dating Prince Harry in 2016. Two years after their 2018 nuptials, the couple announced their plans to step back from their senior royal duties. In February 2021, they confirmed their decision to not return to their senior roles.

At the time, Meghan addressed how her mental health took a turn when the British press started to tear her apart.

“I just didn’t see a solution. I would sit up at night, and I was just, like, I don’t understand how all of this is being churned out,” she said during the pair’s CBS tell-all interview in March 2021. “I realized that it was all happening just because I was breathing. I was really ashamed to say it at the time and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry, especially, because I know how much loss he’s suffered. … I just didn’t want to be alive anymore. And that was a very clear and real and frightening constant thought.”

Harry, 37, for his part, also opened up about exploring therapy after struggling as a member of the royal family. "It was a conversation that I had with my now-wife. She saw it. She saw it straight away. She could tell that I was hurting and some of the stuff that was out of my control was making me really angry. It would make my blood boil,” he explained during an appearance on Dax Shepard‘s “Armchair Expert” podcast in May 2021.

Simone Biles' Most Honest Quotes About Mental Health and Wellness

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 11:58 AM PDT

Even the GOAT needs a break sometimes. Simone Biles shocked the world when she bowed out of the Tokyo Olympics — but that wasn’t the first time she’d advocated for her mental health.

In July 2021, the four-time Olympic gold medalist fell while trying to land a vault in the team final in Japan and subsequently took herself out of the competition. Teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee and Grace McCallum carried on without their leader, ultimately placing second behind the Russian Olympic Committee.

Though she was seen consulting with the team’s training staff, Biles later confirmed that she “thankfully” didn’t have a physical injury. “That’s why I took a step back, because I didn’t want to do something silly out there and get injured,” she told reporters after the medal ceremony. “I thought it was best if these girls took over and did the rest of the job — which they absolutely did, they’re Olympic silver medalists now. And they should be really proud of themselves for how well they did last-minute, having to [adjust].”

The Dancing With the Stars alum “got a little bit lost in the air” while attempting her risky skill, she explained. “It’s just something we have to go in the gym and work on.”

Longtime fans of the gymnast were surprised to see her do anything other than power through in the face of adversity. However, staying in the competition could have “robbed” the team of their medal — and could have ended in serious injury.

“I knew they would be OK without me. Just watching them train, they’re a couple of the strongest competitors I know,” Biles said of her elite teammates. “Their heads are always on straight, and they have a lot of dedication and courage.”

Biles has proven herself to be one of the best athletes in the world — not just in her sport — but has had her fair share of battles behind the scenes. In 2018, she revealed that she was one of the many gymnasts who were sexually abused by former Team USA doctor Larry Nassar, whose victims also include Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney and Gabby Douglas. He faces more than 170 years in prison for assaulting women and girls.

The Ohio native didn’t immediately come forward with her story because she was still coming to terms with what had happened. “It’s not like we had a lot of people to talk about it with,” she recalled in an episode of Simone vs Herself. “I remember asking one of my friends, ‘Hey, have I been sexually assaulted?’ and I thought I was being dramatic at first, and she said, ‘No, absolutely.'”

After starting to accept that she was a survivor of abuse, Biles felt “super depressed” and “shut everybody out,” she admitted in the Facebook series.

“With gymnasts, when you get injured, your heal time is four to six weeks, but then with something so traumatic that happens like this?” she added. “There is no four to six weeks, so it’s hard for us to process that. There’s, like, no time limit or healing time for it, so you just take it day by day.”

Raisman was one of many fellow athletes to show Biles support after her exit from the Tokyo tournament in July 2021. Former teammate Laurie Hernandez reminded fans that there’s more at stake than just a gold medal.

“When something like this happens, there’s just immense pressure [and] this feeling of, ‘I don’t want to let my team down.’ … At the end of the day, mentally, physically, we just want to make sure she’s OK,” she told Today at the time. “Having to put that much pressure on [Simone] to carry the team to gold, it’s not fair. This is a team of four, not a team of one.”

Scroll down for a look back at some of Biles’ most inspiring comments about caring for her mind and body:

Only Human
"I say put mental health first," Biles said in July 2021, telling press at the Olympic Games that she was inspired by Naomi Osaka's strength earlier in the year. "Because if you don't, then you're not going to enjoy your sport and you're not going to succeed as much as you want to. So it's OK sometimes to even sit out the big competitions to focus on yourself, because it shows how strong of a competitor and person that you really are — rather than just battle through it." Shutterstock (2)
How to Cope
Biles needed "a good mental rest" after her upset at the team final in Tokyo, she said in a July 2021 press conference. "Usually you practice mindfulness. ... We'll have the morning off, so that's a great start. ... Then you're really focused in and tuned in on practice." Mental wellness "starts from outside the gym," she added. "We want to relax. And we'll do that, hopefully get some fresh air — and we'll just see [what's next]." Shutterstock
Pressure’s On
The 2021 Olympics season was "really stressful," the World Champion admitted after exiting the team final competition. "I think just as a whole, not having an audience, there are a lot of different variables going into it. It's been a long week, it's been a long Olympic process, it's been a long year. So, [there's] just a lot of different variables, and I think we're just a little bit too stressed out. But we should be out here having fun, and sometimes that's not the case." Shutterstock
Her Priorities
"I just felt like it would be a little bit better to take a back seat, work on my mindfulness," Biles said in a press conference after Team USA took home the silver medal in July 2021. "And I knew that the girls would do an absolutely great job. And I didn't want to risk the team a medal for kind of my screwups, because they've worked way too hard for that. So I just decided that those girls need to go and do the rest of our competition." Shutterstock
‘No Joke’
The Courage to Soar author didn't put her best foot forward at the qualifying meet in Tokyo — and she knew it. "It wasn't an easy day or my best but I got through it. I truly do feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders at times," she wrote via Instagram. "I know I brush it off and make it seem like pressure doesn't affect me but damn sometimes it's hard hahaha! The Olympics is no joke! BUT I'm happy my family was able to be with me virtually 🤍 They mean the world to me!" Shutterstock
Body and Mind
After stepping away from the Tokyo Olympics in July 2021, Biles admitted she crumbled under the intense pressure of performing for her country. "We also have to focus on ourselves, because at the end of the day, we're human, too," she told reporters at the time, per The Associated Press. "We have to protect our mind and our body, rather than just go out there and do what the world wants us to do." Shutterstock
Shut Up and Play
Like many pro sports players, Biles has become an advocate for important causes outside of the arena. While she's not afraid to address certain issues, she also knows it's important to take her time. "Everybody expects me to speak out, but I kind of do it whenever I'm ready, in a good mental place, because it is a lot at the end of the day, and it does spark a very big conversation," she told WSJ. magazine in July 2021. Shutterstock
‘I Don’t Have to Be Fine’
When the Tokyo Olympics were pushed back an entire year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Texas-based gymnast went "through the emotions" — and allowed herself to feel each one deeply. "Sad, mad, angry, pissed off, hysterical — all of the phases. And that's the first time in my life I've ever felt the emotions rather than somebody coming up to me and telling me, 'Hey, it's gonna be OK,'" she told Sports Illustrated in July 2021. "I got to relish in all of those emotions and phases myself rather than people telling me, 'Hey, it's gonna be OK You should be fine.' ... I don't have to be fine. I can be pissed off for now. I can be mad. I can be angry. I can be joyful, you know? So it was actually really nice because it was the first time in my life that's ever happened." Shutterstock
Survivor
In her 2021 docuseries, Simone vs Herself, the elite athlete reflected on the long journey to healing after she was assaulted by Nassar. "All those years, nobody ever told us what sexual abuse was," she recalled. "So we didn't really feel like we were going through it or victims. ... I was one of the luckier ones because I didn't get it as bad as some of the other girls I knew." Biles was "super depressed" after coming to the realization that what she went through was serious. "I didn't want to leave my room, and I didn't want to go anywhere. I kind of just shut everybody out. I don't know, it was probably hard for me," she said. "I remember being on the phone with my agent, and telling my mom and my agent that I slept all the time. Because sleeping was better than offing myself. It was my way to escape reality. Sleeping was like the closest thing to death for me at that point, so I just slept all the time." Shutterstock
Moving Forward
Before finding a healthy way to deal with her struggles, Biles coped "by compartmentalizing," she told Glamour in June 2021. "I try not to think about it because I can't afford to — if I let them rule me, they're winning," she noted. Eventually, however, she learned the right balance. "Before I would only focus on the gym. But me being happy outside the gym is just as important as me being happy and doing well in the gym. Now it's like everything's coming together," she told the outlet. Shutterstock
Finding Her ‘Safe Space’
"I thought I could figure it out on my own, but that's sometimes not the case," Biles told Glamour in June 2021 about her experience with therapy. "And that's not something you should feel guilty or ashamed of. Once I got over that fact, I actually enjoyed it and looked forward to going to therapy. It's a safe space." Shutterstock

The Saturday Night Live star, 28, will be on board Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin NS-20 flight on March 23, the company announced on Monday, March 14. The comedian will be joined by a crew made up of "angel investor" and businessman Marty Allen, Sharon Hagle, founder of SpaceKids Global, and her husband Marc Hagle, president and CEO of Tricor International, professor and world traveler Jim Kitchen, and Dr. George Nield, the president of Commercial Space Technologies, LLC.

Blue Origin announced that every crew member "will carry a postcard to space on behalf of Blue Origin's foundation, Club for the Future, whose Postcards to Space program gives students access to space on Blue Origin's rockets" and seeks to inspire participation in STEM for "future generations."

Prior to the announcement, the King of Staten Island star and girlfriend Kim Kardashian dined at the Amazon founder's home in January, Us Weekly reported at the time.

Down on earth, things are getting "serious" between Davidson and the 41-year-old KKW Beauty founder, a source told Us in January.

"Pete's been spending more time in L.A. to be close to Kim, and he's looking to find a place there," the insider told Us exclusively. "They've definitely gotten serious."

In fact, the two finally went Instagram official with their relationship on Friday, March 11, with the reality star sharing several sweet images with the Big Time Adolescence actor for the first time since they were linked in October 2021.

The couple have weathered their fair share of storms, however. They've been entangled in drama with Kardashian's estranged husband, Kanye West, who has frequently derided their relationship and slammed Davidson via social media and through this music — even burying a claymation version of the comedian in his initial "Eazy" music video, which the pair did not take lightly.

The SKIMS founder, for her part, "found [the video] really disturbing and is fearful of what could come of it," an insider told Us earlier this month. "She wants to protect Pete just as much as Pete wants to protect her."

The New York native and the "Come to Life" rapper, 44, allegedly got into it in a series of texts shared by Davidson's friend and SNL writer Dave Sirius via Instagram on Sunday, March 13.

"Kim is literally the best mother I've ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f—king lucky that she's your kids mom," Davidson allegedly wrote. "I've decided I'm not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I'm done being quiet. Grow the f—k up."

When West asked where he was "right now," the actor allegedly responded, "In bed with your wife," sending the Yeezys creator a selfie in bed.

"Happy to see you're out the hospital and rehab," the "Gold Digger" artist allegedly replied.

"Same here," the comedian wrote back. "It's wonders what those places do when you go get help. You should try it."

Davidson also told West that he’s not “scared” of him. “Your actions are so p—y and embarrassing,” the SNL star allegedly shared. “It's so sad to see you ruin your legacy on the daily."

West shared his thoughts about the alleged text exchange via Instagram in a since-deleted video.

"The boyfriend texts me, antagonizing me, bragging about being in bed with my wife," he said. "I fought it publicly for a year and a half. I've been dragged how she's not my wife, she don't have [my] last name and now he's texting me, bragging about how he's in bed with my wife and I'm like well, 'Who's watching my children?' if he texting me bragging about being in bed with my wife."

While the two discussed meeting up to hash things out in person, West only wanted to meet at his Sunday Service, which Davidson turned down. "I'm not here for pictures and press. Which is obviously all you care about,” the actor allegedly replied, adding that his own “offer” — of meeting in private in L.A. — “still stands.”

Why Dolly Parton Doesn't Want Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nom

She’s country all the way. Dolly Parton is making waves after she removed herself from consideration for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday, March 14.

“Even though I am extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I don’t feel that I have earned that right,” the “Jolene” singer, 76, said in a statement via Instagram. “I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out.”

The announcement comes after Parton was included on the list of nominees last month. On Monday, the country music legend was ranked fourth on the organization’s official fan vote leaderboard. Fan votes are factored in as a ballot tallied along with the votes from a body of over 1,000 music industry professionals.

“I do hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again – if I’m ever worthy,” Parton continued. “This has, however, inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future, which I have always wanted to do! My husband is a total rock ‘n’ roll freak, and has always encouraged me to do one.”

Though Parton, who has been married to Carl Thomas Dean since 1966, doesn’t consider herself “worthy” yet, she meets the eligibility requirements. A nominee must have a commercial recording that is at least 25 years old. Genre is not a factor. Eminem, Lionel Richie and Beck are among the first-time nominees along with “9 to 5” singer.

The other artists nominated for the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction include Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, DEVO, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, Rage Against The Machine, Carly Simon, A Tribe Called Quest and Dionne Warwick. Voting ends April 29.

Warwick, 81, had a similar qualm. “I’m not a rock ‘n’ roller,” she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Sunday, March 13. “The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as I grew to know it many, many years ago, was specifically for rock ‘n’ roll acts. … I feel now, especially when I hear Dolly Parton’s being nominated — which I’m thrilled for — they should rename the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Call it the Music Hall of Fame. Now that they bring so many other genres into it, why not?”

Shortly after her nomination was announced in February, Parton spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about the difficulties women face in the music industry.

"Well, I think [the power dynamic for women in music] has [shifted] to a great degree," the "Here You Come Again" songstress said while promoting her Dolly Parton x Duncan Hines collaboration. "I just really think that it's great that women are getting more chances now than they have been. We've come a long way, but we've got a long way to go."

Parton, who made history earlier this month as the oldest ACM Awards host ever, added that she is "always about empowering women.” That encouragement was clear in the 1980 movie 9 to 5 — which starred Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin — and it still shines through in her recent work.

Everything Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Have Said About Their Marriage

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 10:27 AM PDT

Built to make it! Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's 20-plus years of marriage have outlasted many Hollywood relationships. The couple seem as though they have figured out the magic formula to keeping the spark alive — even if they had to address rumors throughout their decades together.

The actor met the Red Table Talk cohost when she auditioned to play his girlfriend on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Pinkett Smith did not get the role — Nia Long ended up playing the part — but the two later struck up a romantic relationship.

Smith and Pinkett Smith tied the knot in December 1997. They went on to welcome son Jaden in July 1998 and daughter Willow in October 2000.

Prior to his marriage to the actress, the Bad Boys for Life star wed Sheree Zampino in May 1992. The pair's son, Trey, arrived in November 1992. Smith and the Hollywood Exes alum divorced in 1995.

"Divorce was the worst thing in my adult life," Smith admitted during a June 2020 episode of Red Table Talk. "Divorce was the ultimate failure for me. I've been hurt a lot in my adult life, but I don't think anything touches the failure of getting divorced from my 2-year-old son's mother."

The Oscar nominee's split from Zampino seemingly informed his approach to marriage with Pinkett Smith, as they have repeatedly made clear divorce has never been an option for them.

Meanwhile, the Maryland native addressed how important self-love is in a relationship too. "Without personal power/self love [sic], there is no foundation to build love for someone else because it's the power needed to dissolve the ego which is our greatest obstacle to truly loving anyone," she wrote on Instagram in February 2019. "Without self love [sic], all one has is their ego which gives a false sense of personal power through its brutal and unkind nature. The ego will never fail to strangle the love out of one's heart if we allow it to take center stage in our relationships."

She continued: "Transferring our trust to our hearts from our egos is a painful process in learning HOW to love. BUT … through it all … when we finally get to the place where we can give and receive love in its most pure state … ego free … it is only ever … beauty."

Scroll through to see what Smith and Pinkett Smith have said about their marriage through the years.

Setting the Record Straight
After a tabloid reported that the A-list couple were secretly separated after almost 14 years of marriage, the pair told Us Weekly in a joint statement in August 2011, ”Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.” Steve Granitz/WireImage.com
Twisted Words
The Girl’s Trip actress addressed the long-running rumors that she and her husband had an open marriage by making a controversial comment during an interview with HuffPost Live in April 2013 that confused the masses even more: "I think that people get that idea because Will and I are very relaxed with one another. But I've always told Will: ‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK.’” FD/ACE/INFphoto.com
Marriage, Their Way
After Pinkett Smith’s choice of words only fueled speculation that the Smiths had an open marriage, she attempted to clarify her comments in a lengthy Facebook post later that month. "Here is how I will change my statement…Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so," she wrote. “This does NOT mean we have an open relationship…this means we have a GROWN one." Lionel Hahn/AbacaUsa/startraksphoto.com
One Condition
The Gotham actress reiterated her commitment to her husband in June 2013, saying that there is nothing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star could do to make her not love or abandon him — except, she explained, “If he did something bad to the kids — now we've got a problem." Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage.com
Hollywood Royalty
The rumor mill went into overdrive in August 2015, after false reports claimed that the Smiths were splitting up after 17 years of marriage. The “Summertime” rapper felt compelled to address them on Facebook in August 2015: "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness (Because it's contagious). But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured – 'What the hell… I can be foolish, too!’ So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are… NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He concluded his statement by promising his fans that if he was to ever divorce his “Queen,” they would find out from him directly and not through the media. The Red Table Talk host later tweeted, “My King has spoken.” Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Keeping It Real
Two months later, the Bad Boys actor spoke candidly in a November 2015 interview with Entertainment Tonight about his relationship, revealing that “marriage was the most difficult, grueling, excruciating thing that we have ever taken on in our lives. And you know we’re just not quitters.” He also offered a piece of advice: “If there is a secret I would say it is that we never went into working on our relationship. We only ever worked on ourselves individually — and then presented ourselves to one another better than we were previously.” Kevin Winter/Getty Images
Still in Sync
The Set It Off actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in July 2017, where she addressed rumors that she and the Focus star were swingers. “The craziest rumor? That Will and I are swingers. That’s the craziest one. It’s constant,” she said, before joking, “And I’m like, ‘Yo, I wish!’” She also shared some insight into how the couple of two decades manage to keep it “hot”: “I really think that Will and I just have amazing chemistry on a lot of different levels. We love to laugh together, we love to learn together, and we just love each other. We just have a good time together. Yeah, I guess that’s the secret. Yeah, we just really like each other!” Dave Hogan/Getty Images
Lessons in Love
In January 2018, the Pursuit of Happiness star penned a touching tribute to his wife on their wedding anniversary, listing all of the things he learned throughout their marriage. “Love is Like Gardening... I have learned to focus on HELPING you to BLOSSOM into what YOU want to be (into what you were born to be)... Rather than Demanding that you become what my Fragile Ego needs you to be,” he wrote. “I’ve learned to take pleasure in Nourishing YOUR dreams... Rather than wrestling with you to Fulfill my Selfish Needs & Satiate My Insecurities.” “I have learned that Love is Listening. Love is Giving,” Smith continued before adding, “Happy Anniversary, My Queen! I am forever Devoted to Nurturing your Deepest Truth.” David Livingston/Getty Images
Wave 'Em Off
In May 2018, Smith released a sneak peek of some new tracks he had been working on and in one, called “To the Clique,” he raps, “Stop the divorce rumors and mind your damn business.” George Pimentel/Getty Images
Unbreakable
Pinkett Smith made it clear that she and the Bright actor were stronger than ever in June 2018. “Here’s the thing about Will and I — [we] are family. That is never going down,” Jada said while appearing on Sway’s Universe. “We are family. Take out all that whole marriage/ relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will and I are family. I am going to hold him down, doesn’t matter. All that relationship and what people think ideas of a husband, partner and all that, man, whatever. At the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period.” Marcus Owen/startraksphoto.com
Just the Two of Us
The Hitch star revealed that he and the A Different World alum no longer say they’re “married anymore” during an interview on TIDAL’s Rap Radar podcast in July 2018. “We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do — ever. Nothing that would break our relationship,” he said. “She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.” Kristy Sparow/Getty Images
Wise Words
Pinkett Smith spoke candidly about marriage and relationships in an emotional Instagram post in August 2018. “I’ve been watching a lot marriages dissolve around me,” she wrote alongside a happy family photo with husband Will Smith. “It’s been really painful. Marriages change. Sometimes they need to be reimagined and transformed. Sometimes they are simply over ... but either way, I pray that folks going thru this painful transition find the patience and the love within to not throw the 'babies' out with the bath water. #family” Getty Images
A Rough Patch
During an October 2018 appearance on his wife's Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, Smith admitted that “there was a period" in their marriage where Pinkett Smith "woke up and cried 45 days straight." He added: “It was every morning. I think that’s the worst I’ve ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”  Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Rebuilding Their Relationship
Smith admitted during an October 2018 appearance on “Red Table Talk” that his wife didn’t want the life he built for them at one point during their marriage. “To have to let go of the picture, to have to let go of the dream was devastating. We essentially had to destroy our marriage,” he confessed. Despite their struggles, both Smith and Pinkett Smith said divorce was never an option for them during the episode.   “Because I had been divorced before, I wasn’t getting divorced again. Divorce wasn’t an option,” the actor confessed. “I was devastated even worse than a divorce. We broke up within our marriage and got back together again. We had to rebuild with new rules and something way, completely different.” Christopher Polk/Getty Images for The Clara Lionel Foundation
New Ideas
Pinkett Smith admitted during a February 2019 episode of Red Table Talk that she had “very hard expectations” before marrying Smith. “The way I ended up with Will, I had to change my whole perspective because — I want you to know something — he was not the dude,” she said. “But I had to change that. I can’t ask somebody to be for me what I am not willing to be for them. And what I realized in my partnership with Will was that I was asking him to be a lot of things for me that I wasn’t willing to do for me.” She added that, in tough times, they shifted again. “There have been several occasions where you just had enough and you want to leave, and I just couldn’t or Will just couldn’t,” she recalled. “Because we knew this was what was meant to be, this partnership, no matter what the form is. We had to redefine it, reform it, change it.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Parental Intervention

Strangers
The Angel Has Fallen star revealed in April 2020 that she doesn’t “know Will at all,” noting that she was working on remedying the situation. “I feel like there’s a layer that you get to, right? Life gets busy, and you create these stories in your head. And then you hold onto these stories and that is your idea of your partner. But that’s not who your partner is,” she explained on Red Table Talk. “[I’m] having to dissolve all the stories and all of the ideas of Will that I have built around those stories. The thing that Will and I are learning to do is be friends. … You get into all these ideas of what intimate relationships are supposed to look like, what marriages are supposed to be.” Broadimage/Shutterstock
Rumor Mill
In June 2020, Smith and Pinkett Smith once again faced rumors about their relationship. August Alsina claimed at the time that he had an affair with the Bad Moms actress for years — with her husband’s blessing. “Absolutely not true!” her rep told Page Six in response. Shutterstock (2)
Break Up and Make Up
The couple opened up about a past breakup between them during a July 2020 episode of Facebook Watch’s Red Table Talk. After August Alsina claimed in June 2020 that he had an affair with Pinkett Smith years prior, she decided to address the rumors. According to Pinkett Smith, she met Alsina four and a half years earlier and they were just friends. Around the same time, she revealed that she and Smith had decided to split. “We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time,” Smith explained. “I really felt like we could be over.” The actress said, “no, we were over,” which is what opened the door for the “different kind of entanglement” with Alsina. “It was a relationship,” she said of her brief romance with Alsina. “I was in a lot of pain, I was very broken. In the process of that relationship, I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself.” Pinkett Smith continued saying that the singer eventually broke off communication with her once she and Smith started to work on their relationship — and they haven’t spoken since. “We have really gotten to that new place of unconditional love,” the Gotham alum said of her status with her husband now. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum admitted that “I wasn’t sure I was ever going to speak to you again,” before noting that marriage “ain’t for the weak at heart.” Pinkett Smith added: “I definitely believe that you and I never, ever, ever thought that we would make it back.” The two jokingly concluded: “We ride together, we die together, bad marriage for life.” Courtesy Red Table Talk/Facebook
Not the Only One
Smith got real about his ups and downs with the Daytime Emmy winner while discussing his memoir, Will, during a September 2021 interview. “Jada never believed in conventional marriage. … Jada had family members that had an unconventional relationship. So, she grew up in a way that was very different than how I grew up,” the actor told GQ’s Wesley Lowery. “There were significant endless discussions about, what is relational perfection? What is the perfect way to interact as a couple? And for the large part of our relationship, monogamy was what we chose, not thinking of monogamy as the only relational perfection.” The Aladdin actor continued, “We have given each other trust and freedom, with the belief that everybody has to find their own way. And marriage for us can’t be a prison. And I don’t suggest our road for anybody. I don’t suggest this road for anybody. But the experiences that the freedoms that we’ve given one another and the unconditional support, to me, is the highest definition of love.” Smith also commented on his wife’s public comments about her brief affair with Alsina.“The public has a narrative that is impenetrable,” he explained. “Once the public decides something, it’s difficult to impossible to dislodge the pictures and ideas and perceptions.” The father of three didn’t expand further on Pinkett Smith’s past romance, but he did say she wasn’t the only one to stray in their relationship. “A viewer could have walked away thinking that Jada was the only one engaging in other sexual relationships, when that was not, Smith delicately explained to me, in fact the case,” Lowery wrote after speaking with the musician. Spicing Things Up
Pinkett Smith revealed that after decades of marriage, it takes work to keep the spark in the bedroom. "It's hard," she shared during an episode of Red Table Talk in October 2021. "The thing Will and I talk about a lot is the journey. We started in this at a very young age, 22 years old ... I think you expect your partner to know [what you need], especially when it comes to sex. It's like, 'Well, if you love me, you should know. If you love me, you should read my mind.' That's a huge pitfall." The Scream star still felt "uncomfortable" about expressing her desires to her husband, adding, "Tell me what you need, tell me what you want, and on top of it, I know that I have to be accountable to do the same. I really try [to do that]. It's uncomfortable, but it's deeply healthy. [Especially], I think, around sex, because it's something that we don't talk about a lot and there's so much fantasy around it." Jim Ruymen/UPI/Shutterstock
Early Sex Life
"We drank every day, we had sex multiple times every day for four straight months," Smith wrote in his memoir, Will, which came out in November 2021. "I started to wonder if this was a competition. Either way, as far as I was concerned, there were only two possibilities: I was going to satisfy this woman sexually or I was going to die trying." The Grammy winner revealed during an Apple TV+ special the same month that the “early days were spectacular” with his wife. While the twosome have had their ups and downs, Smith explained that there has always been something wonderful about their dynamic. "Me and Jada, to this day, if we start talking, it's four hours. It's four hours if we exchange a sentence. It's the center of why we've been able to sustain [our relationship] and why we are still together, not choking the life out of each other — the ability to work through issues," he said in the interview. "I've never met another person that I connect with in conversation more blissfully and productively than Jada." The actor noted that although they never “officially separated” during their lowest point, the pair did pivot in their approach to their marriage, noting they are now “100 percent bound together and 100 percent free” in their relationship. "What happened was we realized that it was a fantasy illusion that we could make each other happy," he explained. "We agreed that she had to make herself happy, and I had to make myself happy, and then we were going to present ourselves back to the relationship already happy, versus demanding the other person fill our empty cup." Addressing the Past
In March 2022, the King Richard star shut down speculation that they've ever accused each other of cheating in the past. "Never. There's never been infidelity in our marriage," he told Gayle King on CBS Sunday Morning, noting that the pair "talk about everything" with one another. "And we have never surprised one another with anything ever." Will continued: "I have decided that chatter about my life can be of a benefit to people. I think that chatter is the first stage to having a real conversation and being able to truly explore if some of the things in your heart are loving, or poisonous." Elizabeth Olsen! Taylor Swift! Inside Tom Hiddleston's Dating History

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 10:22 AM PDT

A man in love! Tom Hiddleston‘s love life has made headlines over the years as he navigates dating in the public eye.

In June 2016, the U.K. native was spotted spending time with Taylor Swift not far from her Rhode Island home. The connection came shortly after Swift called it quits with Calvin Harris following more than a year of dating.

At the time, a source told Us Weekly that Hiddleston and Swift were growing closer after originally meeting earlier that year.

“Tom checks off a lot of boxes. He's hot, smart, talented, British, blond, everything she's into. What's not to like?” the insider revealed. “She's going with it, and why shouldn't she? They have been bonding over the industry, their childhoods, where they are from. It's the getting-to-know-you phase. Taylor is just happy to have the time to meet someone new and move on from Calvin.”

The Loki star later went viral for wearing an "I Heart T.S." tank top while celebrating Independence Day with his girlfriend and their friends. One month later, Hiddleston opened up about what he took away from his romance with the Miss Americana star so far.

"I’ve learned to — I don’t know, maybe it’s too soon to tell," he said during a Facebook Live interview with The Hollywood Reporter in August 2016. "I’ve learned that there are many sides to a story, and that sometimes there are a lot of stories out there which are false, and the hardest thing is to try to not let those falsehoods affect your own life. That’s what I would say.”

Hiddleston and Swift pulled the plug on their whirlwind romance in September 2016 after three months of dating, with a source sharing with Us, “[Taylor] was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with."

The Crimson Peak star later referred to Swift as “incredible,” telling GQ in February 2017, “Taylor is an amazing woman. She’s generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time.”

While reflecting on the experience of dating someone so publicly, Hiddleston noted that he was still working on “having a personal life and protecting it” without having to hide it.

The Night Manager star moved on with Zawe Ashton in 2020 after they met while working on the West End production of Betrayal in London. Swift, for her part, has been in a long-term relationship with Joe Alwyn.

Although they never confirmed their romance, Chastain later said that she was done dating fellow actors, telling InStyle UK in February 2013, "I have dated an actor before, at Juilliard, but since then, I've only been on a couple of dates with one and I was so freaked out someone was going to take a picture of us, because they were famous." The twosome were briefly linked in 2013. At the time, Hiddleston noted that he understood "the curiosity" around the romance, telling GQ, "One day I hope when there's really something to write home about, then I'll be able to talk." Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Elizabeth Olsen
Hiddleston and Olsen sparked romance rumors after they worked together on I Saw The Light in 2015. After they were photographed on several dates, a source exclusively told Us, "It's casual. But they do make sure to text when they're apart." In September 2015, the WandaVision star shut down speculation, telling Refinery29, "I mean, we definitely are friends and we've known each other for about four years. And we happened to be at a restaurant at a wrong time having dinner. We all go out to dinner." Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock

IG Official! Love Is Blind's Shaina Debuts 'Ride or Die' BF Chris Lardakis

Posted: 14 Mar 2022 10:16 AM PDT

She found her match! Love Is Blind‘s Shaina Hurley introduced fans to boyfriend Chris Lardakis after calling off her engagement to Kyle Abrams.

The Netflix star, 32, made her romance Instagram official on Sunday, March 13, after teasing her relationship status earlier this month. “My ride or die forever ♾ ❤️‍🔥 ✞,” she captioned a carousel of photos and videos from a vacation to Mykonos.

In one pic, Shaina’s beau is seen shirtless as she leans into his side while they pose in front of a mirror. Another snap shows the reality TV personality resting her head on Chris’ shoulder and holding his hand.

Fans met the Chicago-based hairstylist during season 2 of Netflix’s dating series, which premiered last month. Shaina got engaged to Kyle, 29, in the pods despite their opposing religious beliefs — but she also had a strong connection with Shayne Jansen. After accepting Kyle’s proposal, she confessed her feelings to Shayne, 32, as he prepared to ask Natalie Lee to marry him.

During the heated season 2 reunion, which hit Netflix on March 4, Shaina said she felt “manipulated” by Kyle’s proposal because he used his mother’s engagement ring. “It was a people-pleasing moment and I should have never said yes to you. I should have never said yes,” she explained.

The former fiancés broke up in Mexico after leaving the pods. While reflecting on her experience on the show, Shaina said on the “Viall Files” podcast that she had a “gut” feeling she wouldn’t be walking down the aisle with the contractor.

“Because even before he proposed, I was like, ‘I don’t know how it’s gonna work.’ … I was trying to be open-minded because this is an experiment,” she recalled during the March 2 episode. “This was, like, 10 days — people are acting like this was years. … During the reveal, I had [the] intention, [then] I’m like, ‘You know what? I don’t know if we should be doing this.’ And when I saw him, it was like, ‘Oh, my God, this is real.'”

Shaina went on to tell host Nick Viall that she didn’t ditch Kyle with no explanation, even though their goodbye conversation wasn’t aired. “I was very honest with Kyle and I had told them like, ‘I can’t do this,'” she continued. “I broke up with him for a reason. And I had explained that to him in Mexico, and I wanted to go home. I was kind of over it at that point. And I just needed to see my family again, like, we weren’t able to see them for about three weeks, so I had no outside influence.”

As the aftermath of her split continues to drum up drama, Shaina gushed over her “pretty serious” boyfriend, adding, “He’s been great throughout the whole situation. I’m happy.”

Kyle, for his part, has sparked rumors that he’s giving his relationship with fellow season 2 star Deepti Vempati after she walked away from Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee on their wedding day. The 33-year-old vet was at the center of attention during the dramatic reunion special, where he seemingly gave Kyle his blessing to pursue his ex.

Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey recently opened up about filming the tense reunion, exclusively telling Us Weekly there was “no way to predict” what would go down. “I knew there were certainly some things that people felt like they wanted to get some closure on, and I think that those were accomplished for the most part,” the boybander, 48, explained on Saturday, March 12.

The CSI: Hawaii star, 41, said that the special captured the “beauty of the show” — and hinted that plenty of drama was left on the cutting room floor. “Hopefully, people can watch it and learn from it, and hopefully, people can watch it and be intrigued by it,” Vanessa told Us. “I think ultimately when Nick and I wanted to [host the show] … we [wanted] people to start talking about seeing love in its true form, which is having an emotional foundation.”

During an interview with Gayle King on Sunday, March 13, Will, 53, shut down speculation that the couple previously dealt with cheating. “Never. There’s never been infidelity in our marriage,” he said on CBS Sunday Morning, noting that the pair “talk about everything” with one another. “And we have never surprised one another with anything ever.”

The King Richard star, who shares son Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21, with Jada, 50, explained that he didn’t mind his marriage being a topic of conversation.

“I have decided that chatter about my life can be of a benefit to people,” he added. “I think that chatter is the first stage to having a real conversation and being able to truly explore if some of the things in your heart are loving, or poisonous.”

The twosome previously made headlines when August Alsina claimed in June 2020 that he was in a relationship with the Girls Trip star with her husband's knowledge. The Maryland native later confirmed the romance, which she referred to as an "entanglement."

"Yes, it was a relationship, absolutely. I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken,” Jada shared during an episode of Red Table Talk at the time. “Now in the process of that relationship, I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself."

Will and Jada, who got married in 1997, opened up about how issues in their marriage led to a brief separation. "I was done with your ass. I was done with you," the rapper joked on Red Table Talk in July 2020, referring to their 2015 split. "Marriages have that, though. We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time, and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I'll try to figure out how to make myself happy. I really felt like we could be over."

After getting back together, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum offered a glimpse at how important communication has become for them.

“But the heart and soul of our union was then, and is still today, intense, luminescent conversation. Even to the writing of this very sentence, if Jada and I begin a conversation, it is a minimum two-hour endeavor. And it is not uncommon that we talk for five or six hours at a stretch,” he wrote in his memoir, which was released in November 2021. “Our joy of pondering and pursuing the mysteries of the universe, through the mirror of each other’s experience, is unbridled ecstasy. Even in the depths of disagreement, there is nothing in this world that either of us more cherishes or enjoys than the opportunity to grow and learn from each other through passionate communication.”

The 95-year-old monarch announced on Friday, March 11, that she would be absent from the annual event, which took place on Monday, March 14. Though she wasn’t present for the service, the queen still released her traditional Commonwealth Day message.

“In this year of my Platinum Jubilee, it has given me pleasure to renew the promise I made in 1947, that my life will always be devoted in service,” she said in the statement, which was released on Monday. “Our family on nations continues to be a point of connection, cooperation and friendship. It is a place to come together to pursue common goals and the common good, providing everyone with the opportunity to serve and benefit. In these testing times, it is my hope that you can draw strength and inspiration from what we share, as we work together towards a healthy, sustainable and prosperous future for all.”

Charles, 73, attended the service at Westminster Abbey with his wife, Duchess Camilla, by his side. Prince William and Duchess Kate were also on hand for the event, which honors the 54 countries that make up the Commonwealth. The service was canceled in 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic and replaced with a smaller event.

The Duke of Cambridge, 39, and his wife, 40, celebrated the occasion via social media. “2.5 billion citizens. 54 member countries. Wishing a very happy #CommonwealthDay to you all,” they tweeted on Monday, including flag emojis for each of the Commonwealth’s member countries.

Last month, Elizabeth battled COVID-19, but she quickly recovered. On March 7, she attended her first in-person engagement since her diagnosis, meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
