Prince William: George, Charlotte and Louis Ask About Ukraine Conflict Posted: 09 Mar 2022 02:09 PM PST Amid the Russian invasion of several Ukrainian cities, the royal children are curious about the global implications. "Ours have been coming home asking all about it," Prince William said of his three children during a joint outing with wife Duchess Kate on Wednesday, March 9. "They are obviously talking about it with their friends at school." The 39-year-old Duke of Cambridge — who shares Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, with Kate — visited London's Ukrainian Cultural Centre on Wednesday to learn more about the contributions of England residents to support refugees. William, according to royal reporter Rebecca English, noted that he had to "choose my words carefully to explain what is going on" to break down international relations to the school-aged children. The military veteran and the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, met with organization volunteers and Ukrainians during their Wednesday outing, where they learned more about how the Ukrainian Cultural Centre has provided aid to those in need. "Over the past two weeks, communities and organizations here in the UK have come together to provide vital support to Ukrainians here in Britain and across Europe," a post on the pair's official Instagram account read on Wednesday. "The Ukrainian Cultural Centre in London has become one of many hubs organizing donations, material aid and supporting Ukrainians living locally. The work volunteers here are doing to ensure that help gets to where it is most needed is inspiring." The post continued: "So too is the incredible generosity of the British public. The Disasters Emergency Committee has already received over £132 million in donations, and continues to raise funds to support the essential humanitarian effort." The twosome — who wed in April 2011 — previously issued a statement days after the Russian invasion began. "In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine's future," they wrote in a joint Twitter post on February 26. "Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine's people as they bravely fight for that future William and Kate, who seldom address political issues, released their statement days after his brother, Prince Harry, had expressed his hopes for a peaceful outcome amid the unrest. "We stand with the people of Ukraine," the Duke of Sussex 37, and his wife, Meghan Markle, wrote in a joint statement via their Archewell website on February 24. "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same." |
A Complete Timeline of Oscar Isaac and Elvira Lind's Relationship Posted: 09 Mar 2022 01:56 PM PST Two of a kind. Oscar Isaac has always been open about his admiration for his wife, Elvira Lind. “My wife, God bless her, was with a newborn at home while I’m doing Hamlet, and that was a lot to deal with. She’s an incredible woman,” the Star Wars star told GQ in January 2018, referring to a Shakespeare production that he starred in the previous year. Isaac’s run in Hamlet happened in the wake of his mother’s death and the birth of his first child, and the complicated year changed his mind about marriage, which wasn’t really a priority before then. “[Lind is] Danish — she’s not a citizen, and she was very pregnant, and there was an element of figuring out ‘Well, where are we going to be?’ And us wanting to be a family unit a bit more,” Isaac told the magazine of why the couple decided to get married after five years together. “But, you know, at the time, right before it happened, my mom was ill, and so I saw her carrying my child, bathing my sick mom—seeing her do that, I just thought: I want to be with this person forever and ever. And I just wanted to take that extra step as well. He continued: “And so my mom passed in February and we got married in March and our son was born in April.” Since tying the knot — and welcoming a second son in October 2019 — the couple have shared a bit more about their relationship both on and off set. After collaborating on the short film The Letter Room, which starred Isaac as an empathetic prison guard, the screenwriter gushed about her husband on Instagram in June 2020. “To my talented husband. Thank you for letting me put you in a fat suit during a Summer heat wave,” Lind wrote at the time. “Thank you for trusting me to direct you while I was 7 months pregnant. I know that wasn’t always easy. Thank you for encouraging me and showing up and doing absolute magic like you always do. And thank you for growing the most impressive mustache I have ever seen.” She continued: “You are the funniest man I know. I love you more than any words can explain on social media. I am very happy we got to make this together – (and stayed married after).” Keep scrolling to see the full timeline of Isaac and Lind’s romance: ![]() The Golden Globe winner revealed that he met a "documentary filmmaker" at a party in 2012 while preparing for his role in Inside Llewyn Davis. "I went to a party, and I was forced to be at this party, and I went dressed as Llewyn," he told NPR in December 2013. "It was a month before shooting. And then I was sitting in the corner just eating. I was the only person eating at the party. And this girl who ended up, she's a documentary filmmaker, so obviously she spotted the weirdo and went directly to that one. And [she] sat with me and talked to me for a long time. I guess she liked the whole thing." "You have walked with him through a huge fight, and I'm so sorry to bring this news but I'm also excited to celebrate where he is right now. My brother Jay went to be with Jesus just a couple hours ago due to complications due to COVID-19 on top of everything else that he already had going on." He continued: “The Lord used [Jay] in such a might way out on the road for so many years … I believe even though COVID may have taken his last breath, Jesus was right there to catch him. My heart’s broke for my family, but we all just really wanted to thank you for walking with us through so much for so long.” On January 5, the Korean film world mourned the death of a young star in Kim Mi-soo, who passed away at age 29. Travis Scott Announces Event Safety Initiative Following Astroworld Tragedy Posted: 09 Mar 2022 01:31 PM PST Travis Scott's 2021 Astroworld Festival left nine attendees dead and more injured after a crowd rushed the stage. While the 29-year-old "Sicko Mode" rapper performed in Houston, Texas, on Friday, November 5, the crowd surged forward and caused a mass accident. "This is a tragic night," Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said during a news conference early on Saturday, November 6. "We know that we had at least at least 8 confirmed fatalities tonight and we had scores of individuals that were injured here in this event." Peña noted that nearly 50,000 individuals attended the music festival, explaining that around 9:00 p.m. the crowd had "began to compress toward the front of the stage," which caused panic and injuries. "At the start of the mass casualty incident, when it was triggered … We transferred 17 patients to the hospital," Peña added at the time. "We won't know the cause of death of the eight that were confirmed until the medical examiner has completed his investigation, but we are in the process — Houston Police Department — is sending units to the hospitals to identify these patients." The incident took place at the sold-out outdoor festival, which was held at NRG Park. The crowd surge “was from panic because people were running for safety,” a source close to the investigation tells Us Weekly. “The quick response from Astroworld security and staff on site undoubtedly saved even more people from being hurt or worse." During the show, Scott paused his performance "three times" to ask what had happened, according to one source. "He asked for everybody in the area to go help them and bring them to the front," an insider told Us. "As soon as they were made aware of what was happening, they ended the performance in the interest of public safety.” The event's official social media page shared a statement of support early on Saturday, writing, "Our hearts are with the Astroworld Festival family tonight — especially those we lost and their loved ones. We are focused on supporting local officials however we can." In the statement, it was confirmed that the festival's Saturday lineup had been canceled. "As authorities mentioned in their press conference earlier, they are looking into the series of cardiac arrests that took place," the social media statement read. "Thank you to our partners at the Houston Police Department, Fire Department and NRG Park for their response and support." Scott's partner, Kylie Jenner, shared footage from the concert hours earlier via Instagram Story, having attended alongside sister Kendall Jenner. The 24-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder posted snaps of a trailer with 3-year-old daughter Stormi's name on it alongside concert videos during the rapper's set. In Jenner's Instagram videos, the packed crowd was seen jumping during her beau’s performance, which was complete with pyrotechnics on stage. The musician's annual festival completed a week's worth of "Astroweek" programming, which he described via Instagram in October as "a wild week." "But injecting the city with inspirational features and activities for charity is a must," Scott wrote at the time. "Join us thru out the week for a bunch of Scroll below to learn more about the incident so far: ![]() The sold-out crowd in Houston, Texas, rushed the stage during Scott’s set at 9:30 p.m., which caused mass panic and hysteria and led to numerous accidents and injuries. "The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son," the family's attorney, Benjamin Crump, said in a statement. You want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need. Anytime I could see anything like that, I did. I stopped it a couple times to just make sure everybody was OK. And I really just go off the fans’ energy as a collective — call and response. I just didn’t hear that. The brand's official Instagram and Twitter accounts have been deleted. A rep for Scott told TMZ that he "is not focused on business" in the aftermath of Astroworld. New Love? Every Time Love Is Blind’s Kyle and Deepti Fueled Dating Rumors Posted: 09 Mar 2022 12:33 PM PST A second chance at love? Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati didn’t end up with their respective fiancés on Love is Blind, but the pair may have found love outside of the pods. After the construction worker confessed that his “biggest regret” was not proposing to Deepti during the season 2 reunion, fans of the Netflix reality show began speculating that a romance was blossoming between the two contestants. “I should have tried harder for [Deepti],” Kyle said at the time. “I love her so much, she’s the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me and that’s my biggest regret. I’m sorry.” Though his declaration of love surprised viewers, Deepti wasn’t particularly shocked by the depth of his feelings. “A lot of people don't know that Kyle and I had a really deep connection in the pods,” Deepti told New York Magazine in March 2022. “He was my No. 2 person, so it wasn't out of the blue. We do have this foundational bond. It was heartwarming and so sweet to hear.” As for their relationship, she continued: “The speculation is hilarious. We're playing with [fans] a little bit, but it's funny. Kyle and I have such a beautiful friendship.” Kyle, for his part, fueled the romance rumors around the same time, posting multiple TikTok videos of him spending time with the information data analyst. In early March, he shared a clip from an event, panning over to reveal Deepti standing behind him before he smiled at the camera. The day after, Kyle posted a video from a Chicago Fire soccer game featuring a hand that appeared to belong to his fellow contestant. In the pods, Deepti accepted a proposal from Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee before calling it quits on their wedding day on the finale. The veterinarian earned a great deal of backlash for repeatedly admitting during the experiment that he didn’t find his then-partner physically attractive — including from Kyle, who accused him of “wast[ing] such a good opportunity” with her. “There's a lot of things that he said that he didn't say to my face and [things] I've heard from other cast members," Deepti told Us Weekly exclusively in February ahead of the finale. “I just don't have room for anybody in my life that doesn't see me in the best way. And who could even think those types of thoughts, I guess. I knew what I had to do [on our wedding day]. No one should have doubts about me, and I deserve the best. So, it's, like, if you're not gonna be able to offer it for me, then there's no chance I'm staying.” While it’s unclear whether Kyle can offer Deepti the things she’s looking for in a relationship, the duo has teased that they might be more than friends. Patrick Wymore/Netflix ![]() Amid speculation that she and Kyle had begun dating, Deepti told Elite Daily that the pair were "figuring it out" in the real world. “Not a lot of people know that we had a really strong connection in the pods," she said. "Kyle has never done anything to Shake," she told E! News. "Kyle and I were close, so I don't know if that's where it stemmed from, but he knew that we were close this entire time, so it's nothing new for him. It was confusing to me just like the rest of the world, honestly." Adam Rose/Netflix ![]() During a March 2022 appearance on the "We Have the Receipts" podcast, Deepti said that she and Kyle have remained friends since the show wrapped. "Kyle and I hang out all the time, even before reunion," she explained. "He's, like, my best friend. So, I don't know, we'll see where it goes." When cohost Lauren Speed-Hamilton noted that friends often become lovers, Deepti replied: "That's the best way, build a friendship first. Let's see if it goes anywhere. We'll see how it goes." Everything Love Is Blind’s Deepti and Shake Said About Their Messy Split Posted: 09 Mar 2022 12:30 PM PST Two sides to the story. After Deepti Vempati and Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee found love inside the Love Is Blind pods during season 2, the pair went their separate ways before the season was over. "I knew what I had to do," Deepti exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the Netflix series' finale in February 2022. "No one should have doubts about me [on our wedding day] and I deserve the best. So it's, like, if you're not gonna be able to offer it for me, then there's no chance I'm staying." While the information data analyst walked away from Shake in the middle of their planned nuptials, he previously admitted that he did not have a physical connection to his then-fiancée, even referring to her as an "aunt" during one episode. "There's a lot of things that he said that he didn't say to my face and [things] I've heard from other cast members," Deepti told Us about her decision to end their engagement. "I just don't have room for anybody in my life that doesn't see me in the best way. And who could even think those types of thoughts, I guess." Shortly after the finale, the pair — and their respective loved ones — have continually weighed in about the nature of the twosome's breakup. "I've mentioned earlier that there are certainly things I want to work on for myself and get better at but one thing I don't feel inclined to do is pretend I'm sad or sorry about certain things that were out of my control, certain things that I can't necessarily even speak about," the veterinarian claimed in an Instagram video in March 2022. "I'm not sorry. I think I handled the situation as best as anybody in my situation could." While Shake continued to assert his honesty, Deepti's siblings took to social media in her defense. “We've witnessed you grow into such an incredible and beautiful woman, you've inspired so many people to realize their self worth and demand what they deserve and settle for nothing less," her brother, Sunny Vempati, and his partner, Hina, wrote via a joint Instagram statement after the finale aired. “We wish you didn't pick that [clown emoji] but despite his childishness, you carried yourself with grace and continued to see the good in people." The statement continued: "Now normally I don't get involved in drama but I'mma defend my sister here: 'Shake', bruh, you're a loser. You minimized my sister's life by making some awful and cringeworthy comments about her. You made these statements knowing your own mom would one day watch it; my parents and my entire family had to sit through you talking behind my sister's back about insecurities she fought her entire life. Despite your comments on and off camera about her body, she continued to only ever be supportive of you, despite our best efforts to convince her to see through your BS. THAT'S the person she is." While Shake did not directly address Sunny's pointed remarks, Deepti reshared the message via Instagram Story, adding a heart emoji as she gushed about the "love and support" from her family. The only regret that I have is I wish I was a little more vulnerable and more emotional outward instead of inward.” Adrian S. Burrows Sr./Netflix ![]() “At the end of the day, I’m going to live my best life going forward,” Shake noted in a March 2022 Instagram video, refusing to apologize for his reality TV actions. “And you don’t have to like me, only I have to like me. Good luck with the rest of your life.” Courtesy of Sunny Vempati/Instagram ![]() “I’m not perfect but I’m real,” Shake wrote via a cryptic Instagram post that February. Netflix ![]() While it seemed that Shake seldom addressed his lack of chemistry with his former fiancée to her face on camera, Deepti admitted that she did discuss those issues with him. “Shake and I had conversations about how physical intimacy and that chemistry was lacking between us,” she told BuzzFeed that February. “It was kind of disappointing and hard to watch [back as the show aired], especially because my parents were so impacted by it. We welcomed him into our home.” Netflix ![]() “The one you hate the most is the one that is lying the least. Probably why you don’t like them,” Shake captioned a series of March 2022 Instagram Story slides. “All these perfect apologies are publicity stunts from people who care enough about their appearances to flat out lie. I’m not gonna play that game. Ever.” Netflix ![]() After costar Kyle Abrams teased the March 4, 2022, reunion special, Shake weighed in about his involvement. “I felt like [the] villain so I played one,” he wrote via Instagram Story that February. “Low key was kinda fun at times but yeah be warned LMAOOOO.” Ser Baffo/Netflix ![]() “He lacks self-awareness in social settings or even in how to talk to people,” Deepti told Us in February 2022 of her former fiancé. “You know what? I realized it’s not my problem anymore and I shouldn’t have to deal with it. I think we’re on two completely different paths.” Netflix ![]() “After filming had wrapped, I was under the impression that we could at least celebrate this friendship that we built cause we’ve gone through something so insane and that like no one else understands,” Deepti told Nick Viall during a March 2022 episode of his “Viall Files” podcast. “As the days unfolded after filming had wrapped, I just started to see more of his true character. … I was so disappointed. Honestly, there are no words.” Netflix ![]() During the season 2 reunion, which aired in March 2022, Shake defended his tenure on the show despite believing that physical attraction was crucial for a potential romance, noting that “it’s nature” because “we’re animals.” “But I wanted to be partially blind,” he explained during the televised special. “I wanted to be, Love Is Blurry.… We all have our physical preferences. Listen, every woman in here is beautiful. I think you’re all beautiful. I’m not attracted to all of you. Unfortunately, the only one I’m attracted to is Vanessa [Lachey] — and I wish I wasn’t! I wish I wasn’t. The point is, it’s not a choice.” He added: “This show’s about finding love, OK? It’s not about rushing into something … skipping steps, you know, three through 20 to get to the end goal. … You don’t know what it is until you’re there.” Netflix ![]() “I wanted to take this opportunity to really just say sorry to a woman that I know I hurt,” Shake said in an Instagram video in March 2022. “Deepti, I am truly sorry for some of the things I said. Things that, honestly, just could’ve been left unsaid or could have been said differently. Things that never should have been on national television.” The TV personality called Deepti his “best friend” throughout filming before apologizing publicly for the unkind remarks he said about her on the series. “Even though I knew our relationship wasn’t going to end in marriage I didn’t want what we had to end either. I loved every second of it,” he said. “I’m so, so sorry that I hurt you with my words. That’s the last thing that I wanted from all of this. I’m sorry, Deepti.” Netflix (2) ![]() Deepti said that she and Shake briefly tried being friends after filming, but the vet's personality was ultimately too much for her. "As the days unfolded I kind of saw more of his true character," she said during a March 2022 episode of the "We Have the Receipts" podcast. "I realized the face or the mask that he put on during filming is nowhere near the person that I thought he was. And it kind of sucks." She went on to say that she felt "drained" every time they hung out because Shake always had a "problem" with someone. "It's such a red flag and it's usually a woman," she added. "He just doesn't know how to talk to women. It's so degrading and it's misogynistic." Ser Baffo/Netflix |
Dolly Parton Says Music Industry Still Has a 'Long Way to Go' With Equality Posted: 09 Mar 2022 11:54 AM PST The ultimate woman crush! Dolly Parton's career has spanned music, movies, multiple business ventures and more — and she's shown no sign of slowing down. "Well, I think [the power dynamic for women in music] has [shifted] to a great degree," the "Jolene" songstress, 76, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of Women's History Month while promoting her Dolly Parton x Duncan Hines collaboration. "I just really think that it’s great that women are getting more chances now than they have been. We've come a long way, but we’ve got a long way to go." Parton, whose costarring role in 1980's 9 to 5 alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin continues to inspire working women to this day, has frequently tried to use her influence for good. "I’m always about empowering women," the Dolly Parton's Heartstrings alum told Us. "One of the songs [on] the new Run Rose Run album is called 'Woman Up and Take it Like a Man,' you know, be as good as — or better than — [a man and] just woman up. If you wanna do it, you gotta do it, don't let anybody tell you that you can’t, you don’t have to, you don’t have to, you know, be to anything or anybody." She continued: "We're not trying to take over the world. We’re just trying to have an equal opportunity to do what we do, to be paid for what we do, [to] be appreciated and respected for what we do. So I’m all about that." While Parton noted that she doesn't have to "march in the streets with a sign" to believe in female empowerment and stand up for what's right, she explained that she prefers to inspire change through her music and the way she lives her life. "I’d rather live an example [and] be an example … [because] it's not my way to do that [and march], but I’m all about getting some power behind those gals and it always makes me so happy to see some woman or girl do great," the 10-time Grammy winner told Us. The songwriter is a hugely impactful persona to many devoted fans, but she touts her mother, aunts and grandmothers as her own biggest inspirations. "My mother was my biggest fan, my biggest supporter, and even when I was little and started young, she’d make my little stage clothes and she would tell me, you know, 'If you’re gonna be doing this now, you need to remember, like you said, to be true to yourself,'" she gushed about her mom, Avie Lee Owens, who died in December 2003. "So I always remember the things that Mama said. And even though she had 12 kids and got married [at], like, 15 years old, she still was very wise. … But she was also a very spiritual person. And so am I, so I lean a lot on God and [the] strength that comes from my spiritual life." For more of the Tennessee native's inspiring pearls of wisdom, watch the video above! ‘Outlander’ Cast’s Dating History: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and More Posted: 09 Mar 2022 11:35 AM PST Life imitates art! The Outlander cast knows a thing or two about showcasing passionate love both on and off the set of the steamy Starz series. Despite palpable onscreen chemistry between Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall) throughout five seasons of the time-traveling hit series, the actors have maintained a strictly professional and friendly relationship when the cameras stop rolling. "We're like brother and sister now — we know each other really well as we've been working together for six years which is just crazy," the Men in Kilts alum recalled of their bond during an interview on BBC's "The Love/Hate Club" podcast in June 2020. "She's like my sister and tells me exactly what I'm doing wrong, and I need to know these things!" The Ford v. Ferrari actress, for her part, echoed her onscreen beau’s sentiments while opening up about her real-life partner, Tony McGill. "There's a small vocal group that really wanted [Sam and I to get together], which is just a testament to the characters that we portray, that the love story is so inspiring and so aspirational that people just really wanted to believe in it," Balfe told Parade in October 2018. "And that's a nice thing. But I think things are pretty clear now that I'm engaged to someone else. Everyone gets it now." While the Ireland native has primarily kept her relationship with the music producer private, the pair eventually tied the knot during an intimate English ceremony in August 2019. Balfe confirmed the nuptials via Twitter and revealed why she didn't share any wedding-day snaps. "Cause that was for me, my husband and my family," she tweeted in November 2019. "Sorry…. but thank you for the love xxx." For his part, Heughan has also remained mum about his past romantic partners over the years, though has been vocal about his dating experience. "Certainly, relationships are hard when you're working in Scotland 10 months a year," the SAS: Red Notice actor told Inquirer in January 2020. "I travel a lot and any downtime I have, I'm trying to do other projects, so very much, my career comes first. Maybe I will find someone eventually." He added at the time, "My whole career, not just Outlander, but as an actor, I have always put that first. It's hard when you travel a lot. My priority has been my career, so that's where I am at the moment. But I am sure at some point, I will get knocked off my feet, then I'm screwed." 'Outlander' Star Sam Heughan’s New Flame Monika Clarke: 5 Things to Know Posted: 09 Mar 2022 11:34 AM PST A new connection! After Sam Heughan was photographed locking lips with a mystery woman, Us Weekly confirmed that his date was model Monika Clarke. The couple were originally spotted grabbing lunch at Café Select in New York City on Sunday, March 7, in photos obtained by E! News. Heughan, 41, put his arm around Clarke, 30, as they made their way to the Soho spot, and they later packed on the PDA at their table. The surprising outing came just before the Outlander star noted how difficult dating was because of his work schedule. “The job is so all encompassing and we spend so much time on the set and at work so … but yeah, I’m open to something,” Heughan said during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Wednesday, March 9, after the host asked if he was single. The Sassenach Spirits founder previously said that filming the historical drama, where he plays the heroic Jamie Fraser, forced him to put dating on the backburner. "Certainly, relationships are hard when you're working in Scotland 10 months a year," Heughan told Inquirer in January 2020. "I travel a lot and any downtime I have, I'm trying to do other projects, so very much, my career comes first. Maybe I will find someone eventually." He continued: "My whole career, not just Outlander, but as an actor, I have always put that first. It's hard when you travel a lot. My priority has been my career, so that's where I am at the moment. But I am sure at some point, I will get knocked off my feet, then I'm screwed." The U.K. native rose to stardom when he scored a role in Outlander alongside Caitriona Balfe. The Starz series, which premiered in 2014, is based on novels by Diana Gabaldon that follow a couple who finds their way to one another through time travel. Although viewers were quick to ship Heughan and Balfe both on and off screen, the costars have stayed close friends throughout the years. In January 2022, the Belfast star, 42, opened up about a small group of Outlander fans who violated her privacy because of their interest in her love life. "When you have a kid, you become really protective. I don't want those crazies — because that's what they are — I just don't want them talking about him,” the actress, who welcomed her first child with husband Tony McGill in 2021, told Vanity Fair. The profile piece detailed how the Escape Plan star found out that some of her fans harassed the secretary of the church where her wedding took place because they questioned her marriage. The Ireland native also learned that private investigators were hired to look into her relationship with Heughan. “It's sad, because you meet the loveliest people who are fans of the show and they're super supportive and they do the nicest things — and then you have that little thing, which just taints it,” Balfe added at the time. Before being spotted kissing Clarke, Heughan, for his part, has previously been linked to MacKenzie Mauzy, Cody Kennedy, Amy Shiels and Abbie Salt. Several celebrity couples took their love to the next level in 2022 by getting engaged. Josh Duhamel popped the question to Audra Mari in January after two years of dating. The actor was previously married to Fergie from 2009 to 2019, and the exes share son Axl, whom they welcomed in August 2013. "They are both really good people and committed to their son, but they are too different to make it work," a source told Us Weekly in September 2017 shortly after the duo confirmed their split. Fergie opened up in October 2017 about calling it quits with Duhamel. "It wasn't my plan," she said on The Wendy Williams Show at the time. "I wanted to stay married forever." A year later, the Las Vegas alum hinted at his desire to remarry. "I want to have more kids in the next few years. So it's more about finding someone young enough to have kids," he explained on the "Armchair Expert" podcast in December 2018. "It's not as if I'm out there just trying to f–k anything. That's really not who I am. I'm trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with, you know?" Duhamel also reflected on his failed romance with Fergie at the time. "Ferg and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn't work, but I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby," he shared. "She's awesome. So I'm just trying to find somebody. That's kind of what I'm looking for." After the Transformers star posted on social media about his betrothal to Mari, the former Black Eyed Peas member wished her ex-husband well. Nick Viall Calls GF Natalie the ‘Best Part’ of His Life in Sweet Tribute Posted: 09 Mar 2022 10:05 AM PST After two seasons of The Bachelorette and his own season of The Bachelor, Nick Viall has found love with Natalie Joy. The “Viall Files” host and surgical technologist were first linked by fans in 2019, but speculation about their relationship didn’t start heating up until 2020. In February 2021, shortly after the pair first went public as a couple, Viall admitted that they met after Joy slid into his Instagram DMs. “It was very romantic,” he joked during an episode of his podcast. "We kind of kept hanging out, and she finally got to a point where she was like, 'I want to date,' and I was kind of like, 'I don't know.' … She just was like, 'OK, this is what I want. It's fine, no big deal, but I'm gonna go do my thing,' and she did, and I was like, 'What?!' … She went and showed me exactly what I'd be missing." The former reality star has a history of sliding into DMs himself, revealing last year that he once messaged Olivia Munn. "I wasn't expecting her to reply,” he recalled during an April 2020 episode of Hannah Berner’s podcast. “It was New Year's Day and I simply just said, 'I'm aiming high this year.'" He also went on a few dates with January Jones after she had publicly dissed him via social media. "Then Nick slid into my DMs, and he's like, 'I'm so sorry that your perception of me is so negative. I'd love to take you out to coffee and see if I can change your mind,'” she told Dax Shepard in January 2020. “And I squealed! I was like, 'Oh, my God.' … I was like, 'I hate that guy!'" The Mad Men actress said the pair went on a “couple” of dates before things faded out, perhaps because she spent most of their time together asking him questions about The Bachelor. "All I did was grill him about the show," she said. "But I got a lot of juicy insights.” Viall’s DM success rate seems to have increased with Joy, who first made their relationship Instagram official in January 2021. "Their relationship is very real,” a source told Us Weekly in February 2021. “They've been dating since the beginning of COVID but have just started going public. They're pretty much inseparable. You can say she practically lives with him because she's at his house that much." Cameron Diaz: Benji Madden Helped Me ‘Value Myself More’ Posted: 09 Mar 2022 09:44 AM PST Cameron Diaz has dated celebrities including Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez, but never thought she'd get married until she started dating her now-husband, Benji Madden, in May 2014. "[Marriage] was the biggest thing I’ve done in my 40s, and it opened me up in different ways," Diaz told Harper’s Bazaar in May 2016, 16 months after she and the rockstar tied the knot. "It’s pretty awesome. I didn’t think it was something I’d do, and I don’t know if I’d have done it if I hadn’t met my husband. It was a surprise.” While the duo's relationship was unexpected, they quickly became one of Hollywood’s strongest couples. "One of my favorite things about being married, is how much pride I take in my husband @benjaminmadden… ," the Other Woman actress captioned a June 2016 Instagram picture of Madden performing on stage with his band, Good Charlotte. "He makes me proud everyday [sic]." The "Anthem" singer, for his part, likes to keep his marriage private, but did gush about the California native for her 46th birthday in August 2018. Madden noted in a sweet Instagram tribute: "So many things that make me so proud of you and how special you are. Thank you for being the best friend and partner to me and taking this journey of Marriage." He continued, "The way you live your life everyday, and your compassion for the world shines thru in your eyes and you inspire me to want to be the best man I can be in this lifetime. You're the realest. I'm so grateful to be yours Always&Forever, and to call you my One&Only. True Love." In December 2019, the pair welcomed their first child, daughter Raddix. “I love being a mother,” Diaz told makeup artist Gucci Westman during an April 2020 episode of the latter’s YouTube series. “It’s the best, best, best part of my life. I’m so grateful and so happy and it’s the best thing ever, and I’m so lucky to do it with Benj and we’re having the best time. I’m thrilled. I can’t believe it.” She also gave a rare glimpse at what the rocker is like as a dad. “He’s such an amazing father,” she shared. “I’m so lucky he’s my baby’s father. He’s incredible. Amanda Bynes Breaks Her Silence After Filing to End Her Conservatorship Posted: 09 Mar 2022 09:25 AM PST ![]() Speaking out. Amanda Bynes thanked fans for their support after filing to end her conservatorship after nearly nine years. “What’s up Instagram, Amanda Bynes here,” the former Nickelodeon star, 35, says in a video posted to her new page on Tuesday, March 8. “My court date is coming up in two weeks. I want to thank you all so much for your love and support. Peace out.” Instead of a caption, Bynes tagged several news outlets in the video, including Us Weekly. The Easy A actress requested to terminate the conservatorship of both her person and estate on February 23, along with a capacity declaration stating that she was mentally fit to look after herself. In court documents obtained by Us, Bynes’ psychiatrist noted that she has “no apparent impairment in alertness and attention, information and processing or ability to modulate mood and affect and suffers no thought disorders.” The petition also detailed her 2020 move to a structured facility for women, before transitioning to an “an independent living environment” where the comedian has consistently tested negative for "illicit substances in her system.” In the filing, Bynes states that she “desires to live free of any constraint” in the future. The What I Like About You alum was first placed under a temporary conservatorship in August 2013 after a string of mental health and substance abuse issues. The decision came one month after Bynes was hospitalized and placed on a psychiatric hold for starting a fire in a stranger’s driveway. In August 2014, her mother, Lynn Bynes, was named the conservator of her health care and personal matters. Four years later, a judge ruled to extend the conservatorship until August 2020. “My dearest fans, thank you for all the support throughout the year and every year. I know I've been so quiet lately, I just felt that I needed my personal space and that it'd be better for me, but it never was. Just know that you're my happiness,” the All That alum wrote via Instagram in June 2018 while reflecting on her conservatorship. Amanda also opened up about struggling with her mental health over the years, telling Paper Magazine in November 2018, “I just had no purpose in life. I'd been working my whole life and [now] I was doing nothing.” She continued: “I had a lot of time on my hands, and I would 'wake and bake' and literally be stoned all day long. [I was] hanging out with a seedier crowd and I isolated a lot … I got really into my drug usage, and it became a really dark, sad world for me.” More recently, Amanda has enrolled and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and has frequently shared her desire to start a clothing line. In February 2020, the California native announced that she was engaged to Paul Michael after meeting at an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting. The pair appear to still be going strong, and Michael is featured in Amanda’s new Instagram profile picture. Ahead of her recent filing, Us confirmed that Amanda was to remain under her conservatorship after a judge reviewed a status report on her mental health in September 2021. "She's doing great," Amanda's attorney, David Esquibias, exclusively told Us at the time. "Everyone would love to see Amanda not under a conservatorship.” He continued: “I think that is the goal between myself, her mother, her father, and her care providers. Amanda would love to be unconserved. She's expressed it over and over. The timing is not right at the moment, so she's working toward that direction. We all are working toward that direction, and one day we all hope to see it.” |
Future Plans! Teen Mom 2's Leah Considers Marriage and Having More Kids Posted: 09 Mar 2022 09:21 AM PST Perfectly content. Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has been going strong with boyfriend Jaylan Mobley since August 2021 — and the mom of three opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about her thoughts on their future together. "I just wanna continue getting to know each other. I think that with time, we’ll see if that’s something,” the 29-year-old exclusively told Us. The West Virginia native got candid with Us, revealing her fears about a potential marriage changing her relationship with the U.S. Army cyber officer, 26. “For me, I don’t think marriage should change anything. I think it has in the past for me. And I’ve been like, 'What did I do?'" she told Us on Tuesday, March 8. "I think it’s scary. Like, we put a label on it, and it should go one way or the other. And I’m like, 'That scares me a little bit.' It does. It’s a huge commitment." Messer has been married twice: first to Corey Simms from October 2010 to June 2011, with whom she shares 12-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, then to Jeremy Calvert from April 2012 to June 2015, with whom she shares daughter Addie, 9. As for having more children in the future, the reality star isn't ruling out the possibility. "I don’t know. We’ll see," she revealed to Us, emphasizing, "I really don't know." Messer and Mobley first met at an ESPN and Army event in September 2020 — a moment captured on camera — and one that the Hope, Grace and Faith author seemed to hint that fans will be seeing on Teen Mom 2's eleventh season. "You’re gonna see the origin of my relationship with Jaylan, which is exciting," she gushed. "A lot of fun and exciting things happened with that. Getting to meet his family, him meeting my family and definitely meeting the girls." The MTV personality and former NASA employee went Instagram official in September 2021, a year after first meeting, and Mobley made his first on-camera appearance the following February on Teen Mom Family Reunion. Prior to filming, however, Messer wanted to make sure that she and her boyfriend "had a solid foundation." ![]() "I think being less guarded myself and getting to know Jaylan personally allowed me to just trust him a little bit more and trust his intentions and really see the potential that we had have together," she explained to Us. "And I think that’s why I opened up my life to him. I think [being in the public eye] is a lot of pressure on your relationship. So at the end of the day, I just wanted to get to know him a lot more before introducing him to my kids, my family, and the cameras." Ali, Aleeah, and Addie all adore Mobley, and Messer revealed to Us that they witness just how happy their mom is, too. "I've been lying to you if I said we didn’t have days where … things come up, but I think it’s how we communicate and listen to each other that makes everything so different from any relationship I’ve ever been in, in the past," she explained. "And the kids see that, they see the love." In fact, Messer recalled, "[A few] days ago, Addie was like, 'Mom, why do you guys act like you just started dating? You guys have been dating for a while now.' And I’m like, 'That’s what I want y'all to see.'" Teen Mom 2 airs Tuesdays on MTV at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. |

"From the time I was born there were always cats in my house," Bobby Flay wrote in a March 2017 CBS News essay. "My mom was and still is obsessed with them. As an only child, they were as close to my brothers as I had. I spent countless hours side by side with them and we kept each other company." The Beat Bobby Flay star is a proud cat dad himself. His two Maine Coons felines, Nacho and Stella, even have their own individual Instagram accounts. He is food-motivated. … The world has a way of giving you what you need, and sometimes a new best friend shows up when you need him the most." Flay later launched a brand of cat food inspired by his pet called Made by Nacho. Above all, the New York native loves the support that his felines bring when he needs it the most. "Nacho has an incredible personality," the celebrity chef gushed during a March 2021 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. "He always has presence, but you know, he's a pretty handsome cat and he's a big cat. … He kind of wins over the dog side of people and brings them over to the cats." Rachael Ray, for her part, adopted her dog Bella Boo Blue in June 2020 following the death of her beloved Pitbull, Isaboo. Home Is Where Her Dogs Are! Ariana Grande, More Stars Gush Over Their Pets Posted: 09 Mar 2022 09:13 AM PST From glamour to fame, stars have may seem to have everything they could ever want. However, sometimes all they need is their faithful pet. Danica Patrick, Serena Williams, Nina Dobrev and more celebs just can't get enough of their dogs. "I call her the world's chillest dog," the Vampire Diaries alum gushed over her puppy Maverick during a Harper's Bazaar interview in August 2017. "She rescued me as much as I rescued her. I was so lost after [my cat] Lynx passed, but Maverick brought me back to life." Dobrev, who named her pooch after Tom Cruise's Top Gun character, has frequently shared cute snaps of Maverick on social media as they cuddle together or complete a joint workout session. The Love Hard actress even set up an Instagram account for Maverick. "Moms. They sure know how to get on your nerves, but they feed you, so you gotta love em," a May 2021 caption on Maverick's account read alongside a selfie with the Fam alum. Dobrev isn't the only star to love on her four-legged friend. The former NASCAR racer is also a faithful dog mom to her two furry companions. "I'm a worried dog mom. I'm really worried about the dogs all the time," Patrick admitted during a November 2015 interview with Dogster Magazine about her pets, Dallas and Ella. "I'm always making sure they're both OK." The Wisconsin native added at the time: "Ella will follow me even if I just take five steps somewhere. She gets up to follow me. I'm sure some day she will learn that she doesn't have to, but for now she follows me like a puppy. Ella was kind of just one of those things where I was going to take her to play with Dallas for a couple nights, and of course when you love dogs … I never brought her back." Tarek El Moussa, for his part, surprised his kids, Taylor and Brayden — whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Haack — with a new puppy in August 2021 ahead of his nuptials to Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young). Their pug, named Bugz, was given to the children to help teach them vital responsibility skills. "Teaching Mr. handsome how to care for Bugz and how to protect her. This is something Heather and I thought a lot about," the Flip or Flop star wrote via Instagram at the time. "We knew getting a puppy would be a lot but we also thought that it could teach the kids what it's like to have some new responsibilities and we loved the idea of having a new baby in the family to take care of. Aaron Rodgers, Shailene Woodley Spotted Together in Florida After Split Posted: 09 Mar 2022 09:02 AM PST Another sighting! Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley had another reunion less than one month after Us Weekly confirmed their split. The pair were spotted arriving at an airport in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, March 9. Rodgers, 38, and Woodley, 30, left a private plane together, according to photos obtained by Page Six. The actress previously reunited with the athlete when they were both in attendance at his teammate David Bakhtiari‘s wedding on Saturday, March 5, in Montecito, California. They were joined by their friends Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry at the nuptials, which Rodgers officiated. Rodgers and Woodley’s multiple outings come shortly after Us confirmed that the duo decided to end their engagement. "They certainly had their differences and ultimately their relationship didn't work," a source shared last month, noting that they remain on “good terms” with each other. "They thought [they] were a good match for each other in the beginning but the more they got to know each other they realized their careers, their interests [and] their political views weren't aligned." The twosome originally sparked dating rumors in July 2020. Days after Us confirmed their romance in February 2021, the professional football player announced that he was engaged. Woodley, for her part, later reflected on how the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic played a role in her whirlwind romance. “Starting a relationship where you immediately move in with someone — because it’s a pandemic and you can’t just get on a plane and go back and forth on weekends — taught us a lot about each other very quickly,” she explained to Shape Magazine in June 2021. “We jumped in headfirst and got some of the sticky bits out of the way early.” After news of their breakup made headlines, Rodgers took to social media to reflect on his appreciation for the Big Little Lies alum. "Thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life," he wrote in an emotional Instagram post in February. "Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you." Amid their public reunions, a second insider revealed to Us that the Green Bay Packers quarterback is attempting to win back his ex-fiancée. "He thinks their differences don't matter and that they would make a great fit,” the source explained on Tuesday. The insider noted that the Divergent star wasn’t on the exact same page as Rodgers, saying, "Shailene doesn't know if she wants to get back together yet.” |
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s Relationship Highs and Lows Posted: 09 Mar 2022 08:35 AM PST Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock‘s down-to-earth and somewhat private romance captivated fans for years ahead of the 2020 split, after the pair took their professional relationship to the next level in the mid-2000s. The American Idol alum and the manager began dating in 2011 and things moved pretty quickly from then. The couple announced their engagement in December 2012 and tied the knot less than one year later. Within months, Clarkson welcomed the pair's first child together, daughter River, in June 2014. She went on to give birth to son Remington in April 2016. (Blackstock also shares daughter Savannah and son Seth with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth.) The "Since U Been Gone" singer was known for her honest and open nature when it comes to revealing secrets about the pair’s relationship over the years. "Goodness, no! Brandon is not my other half. He's a whole and I'm a whole," she explained in her May 2015 Redbook cover story. "I've never believed in someone taking care of me, and that's probably because I grew up poor and without a lot of family stability." The duo had plenty in common too. "We both love getting out in nature, we love the country and we are not really city people," she told Us Weekly in December 2019. "It is nice to go out and have your kids do stuff outside and in nature. So that is what we will be doing the whole time. You won't find me. I will be lost in a ranch!" Clarkson and Blackstock also enjoyed one-on-one activities. "Any time we're in a discussion about sex with a bunch of couples, Brandon and I stay pretty quiet. To keep it family appropriate, let's say we're just a lot more active than other couples," she admitted to Redbook in 2017. "I'm a person who loves change. He loves spontaneity. Having a set time or place [to have sex] would be boring to us." The Voice coach made headlines again in December 2019 when she revealed how often the twosome had sex. "How one makes children is generally what I do before bed," she said on The Kelly Clarkson Show at the time. However, she filed for divorce in June 2020. "They clashed on so many levels, and being in quarantine together [during the coronavirus pandemic] heightened their problems to the point of no return," a source exclusively told Us at the time. "Everyone thought Kelly and Brandon had the perfect marriage, but they definitely didn't," the insider added. "Brandon's very laid-back, whereas Kelly's pretty high-strung." After a messy back and forth, the twosome were declared legally single in August 2021. The following March, a judge signed off on the pair’s settlement. Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() News broke in September 2020 that Clarkson was being sued by her management company, which is run by Brandon’s father, Narvel. Starstruck Management Group claimed the songstress owed the company $1.4 million in unpaid commissions. Clarkson countersued, accusing the company of violating the California Labor Code by “procuring, offering, promising or attempting to procure employment or engagements” without being properly licensed. “It is unfortunate that Kelly is again attempting to avoid paying commissions that are due and owing to Starstruck to try and achieve some perceived advantage in her ongoing custody and divorce proceedings,” Starstruck’s attorney Bryan Freedman told People at the time. Clarkson also claimed that Brandon and Narvel’s company defrauded her out of millions of dollars by charging her high fees while she worked with them. She alleged that the father-son duo were not licensed to be agents in California and requested that the money she paid to Starstruck for 13 years be returned to her. The parties have a difficult time coparenting due to issues of trust between them.” Courtesy Kelly Clarkson/Instagram ![]() The “Stronger” singer opened up about coparenting during a February episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I’m doing that right now,” she explained. “It’s tough. … I know with me and Brandon, it’s just a difficult thing because we’re in different places, and it’s like, we both agree on the main things, but it’s a hard thing when you’re not together all the time, for me personally.” Clarkson shared that she and Brandon “focus on” what’s best for their kids: “As long as you make sure it’s about the children and their best interests, then we’re both on board.” Rob Latour/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() Us confirmed that the musician has been required to pay her estranged husband $150,000 per month in spousal support and $45,601 per month in child support since April 2021. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Ups and Downs Through the Years Posted: 09 Mar 2022 08:25 AM PST Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have experienced both highs and lows in their years-long relationship. Kardashian and West met in the early 2000s when he was recording a song with her pal Brandy, a singer who is also the older sister to Ray J — the KKW Beauty mogul's ex. The duo reconnected years later after her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries ended. At the time, Kardashian visited Paris to attend West's fashion show. "Right before I got married to Kris Humphries, [Kanye and I] were talking and I just went a different direction. I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted," she explained on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians 10th anniversary special in 2017. "After my breakup, I was feeling really low and down and he said, 'Just come to Paris and see my fashion show.'" The businesswoman added, "He jokes that he put on this whole fashion show just to get a date with me. So, I went there and I stayed with him, and that’s where we started dating. I swear from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, 'Oh, my God. Why didn't I do this sooner?' Like, this is what real life is like — love and fun and real support." The twosome began dating in the spring of 2012 and Us Weekly confirmed that December that Kardashian was expecting the pair's first child, North. Four months after welcoming North, the "Gold Digger" rapper proposed to Kardashian. The couple wed in Italy in May 2014. As their marriage progressed, the pair encountered issues when trying to grow their family. Though Kardashian gave birth to son Saint in 2015, she would welcome daughter Chicago in 2018 and son Psalm in 2019 via surrogate. "You get your surrogate attorney, you get your surrogate broker and then the broker recommended that we use a therapist that would communicate with me first and then communicate with her and kind of be our liaison," she explained on Laura Wasser's "All's Fair" podcast in February 2020. "Toward the end, we got close enough where we could communicate really without that." The pair continued to encounter and overcome hardships over the years, including Kardashian being held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016. West abruptly ended his New York concert and rushed to his wife's side upon hearing of the scary incident. In July 2020, the Grammy winner announced his run for the U.S. presidency. During his campaign rally in South Carolina, he revealed a very personal tidbit about how he and Kardashian considered aborting their daughter North. He then proceeded to go on a Twitter rant, during which he claimed that Kardashian tried to get a "doctor to lock me up" after his behavior at the South Carolina event. After months of split rumors, Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. She opened up to Allure in October 2017 about the possibility of carrying her third child, saying: “I would like to, but I’ve had lots and lots of complications. I had preeclampsia. And then I also had something called placenta accreta. We’ve explored surrogacy. We’re thinking about it.” Both Chicago and Psalm arrived via surrogate. Shutterstock ![]() Despite interrupting her 2009 VMAs acceptance speech, West and Swift later appeared to be on good terms. The “Lover” singer even presented him with an award at the 2015 VMAs. However, they encountered issues when West made an offensive statement about Swift in his 2016 track “Famous.” After Swift spoke out against the derogatory remark, Kardashian leaked footage of Swift seemingly giving West permission to use the lyric. Swift would go on to address the feud through songs on her Reputation album in 2017. Cut to June 2019, Swift called out Kardashian in a Tumblr post for having “orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked.” In the year that followed, full footage from the frenemies’ call was leaked and Swift claimed in her Instagram Stories that she “was telling the truth the whole time.” Meanwhile, Kardashian tweeted in her husband’s defense and alleged that Swift was “actually lying.” Shutterstock (3) ![]() Kardashian flew to France in October 2016 to attend Paris Fashion Week. She was alone in her hotel room one evening when she was robbed at gunpoint by men disguised as police officers. They tied her up and put her in the bathroom before leaving the scene. Upon hearing the news, West abruptly left his set at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in New York. West told fans at the time, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Family emergency, I have to stop the show.” Kardashian would later recall the scary experience in a March 2017 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “I saw two guys holding another guy down in police uniforms, right outside of my bedroom, five feet away,” she explained. “So I slid off my bed and picked up my phone, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know how to call 911 in a different country.’ So I called [my bodyguard] Pascal [Duvier] and then the guy came in, grabbed the phone from me, and threw me on the bed. I was like, ‘This is it.’” Shutterstock (2) ![]() West was hospitalized for extreme exhaustion in November 2016 at the UCLA Medical Center. Just before his hospitalization, West ranted about Jay Z and Beyoncé at a concert in Sacramento, California. He also canceled the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour. A source told Us that his workload, Kardashian’s Paris robbery and the anniversary of his late mother’s death contributed to his breakdown. “He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris,” the insider said. “It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping, and he was having nightmares about it.” Shutterstock ![]() West made headlines for his controversial support of President Donald Trump. In April 2018, the rapper even referred to Trump as his “brother” and said that they share “dragon energy.” Though Kardashian claimed that she would not vote for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, she ultimately visited the White House to work alongside the former reality TV star to improve prison reform. Shutterstock ![]() West said on his 2018 album, Ye, that he suffers from bipolar disorder. He later opened up about his mental health struggles on David Letterman’s Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. “I wouldn’t be able to explain that as much just because, you know, I'm not a doctor,” he said in May 2019. “I can just tell you what I’m feeling at the time, and I feel a heightened connection with the universe when I’m ramping up. It is a health issue.” West added, “This — it’s like a sprained brain, like having a sprained ankle. And if someone has a sprained ankle, you’re not going to push on him more. With us, once our brain gets to a point of spraining, people do everything to make it worse.” Stephen Lovekin/WWD/Shutterstock ![]() The “Stronger” rapper purchased a ranch in Wyoming in November 2019. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health,” she began via Instagram Stories. “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.” Kardashian went on to call West “brilliant but complicated,” noting he is under a lot of pressure. She added: “Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some. How Will Kim Kardashian Approach Messy Kanye Divorce on New Hulu Show? Posted: 09 Mar 2022 08:08 AM PST ![]() In his corner. Kim Kardashian‘s divorce from Kanye West will be addressed on her family’s upcoming Hulu series — but she’s leaving most of the drama off screen. “Being in the public eye and having disagreements publicly is never easy,” the 41-year-old KKW Beauty mogul told Variety in a cover story published on Wednesday, March 9. “But I do believe in handling it all privately. I believe in championing publicly and criticizing privately. I don’t think I would ever criticize the father of my children on my TV show. That’s just not really what I’m about, and I just don’t think that would ever make me feel good.” West, 44, will be a major part of the first episode of The Kardashians, which debuts in April. The Grammy winner even filmed scenes for the reality show, which will launch with 40 episodes across two seasons, before his split from the Skims CEO took a drastic turn. In February 2021, Kardashian filed to end her marriage after nearly seven years. She and the Yeezy designer share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. Though things have been rocky as the former couple worked out the terms of their divorce, the Selfish author hasn’t lashed out publicly. “I’m always really respectful of what the kids will see. The reality is, we’re always a family,” she told the outlet. “We always will have a love and respect for each other. And even if there’s moments where it might not seem like that, there are so many moments that are super positive. I do think it’s important for people to see that things aren’t perfect all the time, but that they can get better.” The exes were declared legally single earlier this month, and Kardashian’s request to restore her last name was granted. Ahead of the decision, the makeup mogul argued in court docs that “terminating our marital status” would help West “accept that our marital relationship is over.” She went on to accuse the “Stronger” rapper of spreading “a lot of misinformation” about their split via social media. For several months, the record producer has been taking to Instagram with pleas to win back his former spouse — and has hurled insults at her boyfriend, Pete Davidson. The couple were first linked in October 2021, one month before West claimed on Revolt’s “Drink Champs” podcast that he had never been served divorce papers. Since then, West has continued to declare that he wants to reunite his family. “[Kim] longs for the day when things finally calm down and Kanye accepts the reality of the situation, that she’s moved on and doesn’t want his drama interrupting her as she tries to move on with her life,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly after Kardashian was officially granted single status. “It’s a positive step forward in the divorce. Even though other issues are still being disputed, it’s a huge weight off her shoulders.” While West’s presence will loom large on the E! alum’s new series, Davidson, 28, may not make an appearance. “I have not filmed with him,” Kardashian told Variety, hinting that fans will get answers about how the duo’s romance all began. “And I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does. … I’m definitely open to talking, and I definitely explain it.” |
