| Ashton Kutcher: I've 'Never Been More Proud' of Mila Amid Unrest in Ukraine Posted: 03 Mar 2022 05:09 PM PST Making a difference. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are taking action amid the unrest in Ukraine. “While we are witnessing the bravery of Ukrainians, we are also bearing witness to the unimaginable burden of those who have chosen safety,” the Two and a Half Men alum, 44, captioned an Instagram video on Thursday, March 3. “Through GoFundMe, this fundraiser will provide an immediate impact on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts.” Kutcher sat beside his wife, 38, in the accompanying clip as she spoke about her upbringing. “I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, in 1983. I came to America in 1991 and I have always considered myself an American. A proud American,” Kunis said. “I love everything that this country has done for myself and my family. But today, I have never been more proud to be a Ukrainian.”  The No Strings Attached actor chimed in, “And I have never been more proud to be married to a Ukrainian.” Kunis went on to address the “devastating” news coming out of Europe over the past few weeks following Russia’s invasion of her native country. “There is no place in this world for this kind of unjust attack on humanity,” she continued. The former That ’70s Show costars, who tied the knot in 2015, announced that they intend to match donations made to a GoFundMe launched to support refugee aid and other humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. They are aiming to raise a total of $30 million and pledged to match up to $3 million to benefit Flexport and AirBnB, two organizations that are assisting in providing housing and supplies to those who have fled to safety in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova. “The people of Ukraine are strong and brave, but being strong and brave doesn’t mean you’re not worthy of support,” Kunis concluded. Last month, Kutcher made a public statement in support of the Spy Who Dumped Me actress and other Ukrainians, tweeting on February 24, “I stand with Ukraine.” The Bad Moms star — who shares daughter Wyatt, 7, and son Dimitri, 5, with the Valentine’s Day actor — previously opened up about returning to her home country as an adult. “It was trippy,” she told Net-a-porter.com in November 2017. “There’s a part of you that wants to feel something towards [the place]. I had nothing. We landed and Ashton was like, ‘No?’ [and I was like], ‘Yeah, nothing. I got nothing for you, babe.'” Kunis continued: “We went to our house and I knocked on the door because we really wanted to look inside. And [the new owner] was like, ‘No!’ She did not care. I said, ‘I used to live here when I was little, my parents are here [with me].’ She wouldn’t even open the door. The whole experience was very humbling.” |
| Meghan Markle’s Sister Samantha Sues Her for Allegedly Lying in Tell-All Posted: 03 Mar 2022 05:06 PM PST  The family feud lives on. Samantha Markle is reportedly suing half-sister Meghan Markle for defamation after the duchess and Prince Harry's March 2021 CBS tell-all interview. TMZ reported on Thursday, March 3, that Samantha, 57, claimed in court documents Meghan, 40, lied about her and their family during the sit-down. The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister author accused her sibling of making up stories about growing up in "virtual poverty." Samantha claimed that their father, Thomas Markle, paid for Meghan to attend "elite and expensive private schools." She also alleged that their dad covered the Suits alum's tuition at Northwestern University, despite Meghan's assertions that she worked to pay her own way through college. Elsewhere in the lawsuit, Samantha reportedly claimed that Meghan lied during the tell-all about the most recent time the siblings saw each other and when the elder changed her last name back to Markle. According to the outlet, Samantha further alleged that the retired actress lied about Samantha and Thomas, 77, so that the two "could not interfere with or contradict the false narrative and fairytale life story [she] concocted." She reportedly accused Meghan of negatively affecting sales of her autobiography, preventing her from getting jobs and causing her emotional and mental distress. Meghan's attorney Michael Kump fired back at the allegations, telling TMZ in a statement: "This baseless and absurd lawsuit is just a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behavior. We will give it the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves." The Duchess of Sussex claimed in her March 2021 interview that she had not seen Samantha in "at least 18, 19 years." She also alleged that her half-sister "changed her last name back to Markle in her early 50s … only when I started dating Harry," adding, "So, I think that says enough." Meghan broke her silence on Samantha's book about her in a bonus clip from the sit-down, noting that it "would be very hard to 'tell all' when you don't know me." She continued: "I grew up as an only child, which everyone who grew up around me knows, and I wished I had siblings. I would have loved to have had siblings." Samantha told Inside Edition at the time that "the truth was totally ignored and omitted" during the CBS special. Kourtney Kardashian is a firm believer in her and fiancé Travis Barker's recent sex fast. "Oh, my God, it was crazy," the 42-year-old reality star told Bustle in an interview published on Thursday, March 3. "But it actually made everything better." The Poosh founder noted that when the couple reconnected things were hotter than ever. "Like, if you can't have caffeine, when you have your first matcha, it's so good," she added.  The duo, who got engaged in October 2021, took part in an Ayurvedic cleanse, which aims to draw toxins out of the body. According to Healthline, the cleanse can focus on everything from sex fasting to dietary adjustments to switching up lifestyle practices, including adding massages and meditation into one's daily routine. Kardashian hinted that her work with Poosh — and the personal stories that inspire some of the site's topics — will be a bigger part of her family's new Hulu show, The Kardashians. "People are always using my quote where I say, 'Working is not my top priority; it never will be,'" the former E! personality told the outlet. "And it's kind of true. Like, I want to work to the place where I'm happy. Right now, I'm actually working more than I have [on Poosh]." The California native, who shares sons Mason, 12, and Reign, 7, and daughter Penelope, 9, with ex Scott Disick, noted that she is very hands on with her website and its content. | Leighton Meester: How Motherhood Connected Me to 'The Weekend Away' Role Posted: 03 Mar 2022 04:17 PM PST  Mother knows best. Leighton Meester offered some rare insight into her family life while speaking about her new film, The Weekend Away. “I really was excited about playing a new mother who’s having a weekend away for the first time, which is the most exciting and really the most terrifying prospect when you have a new baby,” the Gossip Girl alum, 35, told Cosmopolitan UK on Thursday, March 3. “I felt like that was the kind of character that I could very easily relate to, slip into, and have compassion for. When I got the script breakdown it was like a 35-year-old with a 10-month-old and I was like, ‘That is exactly me.'”  Meester, who shares daughter Arlo, 6, and a son with husband Adam Brody, explained that it can be difficult being away from her children, especially when she’s working on location, as she did for The Weekend Away. “The element of being away from your child is very different from when you’re with your child,” the Single Parents alum said. “At least for me. When anything happens, if your kid gets hurt or something happens, that’s your number one concern.” She continued: “[My character, Beth is] not with her kid, so that would drive me mad. I would be devastated to be in a situation like that and be thousands of miles away from my kid.” Though Meester prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight, she has previously opened up about how she and the O.C. alum, 42, rely on one another while parenting. “I just don't believe in balance. I think that's not possible if you're a working mother — and with single mothers, I cannot even imagine that,” the Date Night actor told Shape in March 2019. “Some days my husband makes dinner, and some days I do. Other days, I'm too tired, and I eat a bowl of cereal for dinner. It's just the thing we do to make it work.” Despite the more challenging aspects of balancing work and home, the Roommate star is proud of being a mother and is completely dedicated to her kids. "People started telling me before [I had] a kid, 'You're going to really love them,'" Meester told Us Weekly exclusively in September 2019. "Then you're like, 'Yeah, obviously, I'll love them.' And then you do [have them] and you're like, 'Oh. OK. I don't love anyone else. I just love them. And I don't even love myself as much as I love them! Not even close.'" She continued: "I don't know, would I kill somebody or die for them? Sure. I would." Brody, for his part, has been equally effusive about fatherhood, even calling the coronavirus quarantine “blissful” because of the amount of time he was able to spend with his family. “[It’s] been a pretty — despite the state of the world — it has been a pretty blissful experience. I know a lot of parents who feel that way,” the Shazam star told Entertainment Tonight in October 2020. Earlier this month, West made headlines when he released a music video for his song “Eazy,” which included scenes of him kidnapping and beheading his estranged wife’s new man. The video’s lyrics read, "God saved me from that crash, just so I could beat Pete Davidson's ass." In response, director James Gunn took to social media to call out the behavior, tweeting, “For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. A truly generous, tender & funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect.” The reality star, who has stayed mostly mum about West’s comments toward Davidson, showed her support by “liking” the tweet. Kardashian and Davidson originally met when she hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in October 2021. After they sparked romance rumors that same month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the comedian waited until they were done working together to make a move. “He was a true professional the whole time they rehearsed and in between takes, but afterward things got flirty,” the insider revealed in November 2021. “They exchanged numbers and Pete asked if Kim would like to hang out sometime, which she agreed to straight away.” As the pair continued to spend time together, West made it clear that he wasn’t thrilled with Kardashian’s choice. I’m working on my communication. “I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders. Bill Gates‘ split from Melinda Gates after 27 years of marriage sparked plenty of questions — and the pair have slowly opened up about what went wrong. In May 2021, the cofounders of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced they were going their separate ways. “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” they shared via Twitter. “Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.” The statement continued: “We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives.” The former couple wed in Lanai, Hawaii, in January 1994. They went on to welcome three children: Jennifer, Rory and Phoebe. When the tech mogul and the Duke University grad finalized their divorce in August 2021, there was no child support granted as their daughters and son are adults. Farrah Abraham revealed that she’s checking into a facility to help treat her past unresolved trauma. The Teen Mom OG alum, 30, shared an Instagram video on Wednesday, March 2, alongside the caption, “#traumatreatment center 28days here we go- I’ll let you know if it works! With healing In the clip, the Nebraska native explained, “I am taking time for my healing. I have ignored people for over 11 months after having a sexual assault and having my whole body break down, my whole brain break down.” Abraham noted that she would be taking nearly one month away from social media while at the center. “No matter your traumas — whether they are physical or mental, people see them or don’t see them — I wanted to take the time and say I am grateful for my family for hanging with me this year in one of my hardest years. … I am looking forward to understanding more medically what I can do for myself and transition [to a healthier place],” she said. The MTV personality concluded her message on a hopeful note, adding, “Sending love and light to those who want to improve their lives [and] un-traumatize themselves, and I hope you can look into a treatment trauma center near you and get the help and support that you deserve. I look forward to a brighter future for my family, for my work colleagues and for my career. It’s been a journey to get here … but it has really affected my life and I don’t want that anymore.” Several Instagram users wished Abraham well in the comments section, with one fan writing, “So proud of you Farrah! Kelly Rizzo has been open about the mourning process following the death of her husband, comedian Bob Saget. “My whole heart. I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and tribute from our friends, family, his fans and his peers.” Saget was pronounced dead at the age of 65 after being found unresponsive in his Florida hotel room on January 9. He told everyone that he loved, and I mean, quite frankly anyone he met — even spend any time with at all — he told them he loved them endlessly, and tirelessly, and that was his entire message," Rizzo told the Today show in January 2022, in her first interview following the Raising Dad star’s death. “If you knew Bob, and he loved you, you knew it. There was never ever a doubt in your mind.” She continued: “I mean, even at his memorial, there were a lot of people there and every single person was pretty much like, 'Oh, I talked to Bob last week.' I'm like, 'How did he have the time to talk to everybody and tell everybody that he loved them? All the time.' It was just amazing.” Saget’s friends and family have included his fans in the mourning process, frequently thanking them for their love and support. “In the weeks since Bob's passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful,” the Saget family told Us in a statement on February 9 while revealing his cause of death. The statement continued: “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.” Rizzo has also reflected on the ways that being open with her grief has helped her through such a difficult time. “I have been incredibly grateful and appreciative of all of you for the love and support,” the blogger said in a video on her Instagram Story in March 2022. Two years after their split, Justin and Hailey decided to give their romance another try and tied the knot in September 2018. “Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” the “Peaches” performer wrote via Instagram in July 2018, shortly after they got engaged. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. "I didn't necessarily know what the timeline was gonna be. "I remember I called (my mom) a few different times, one particular time [when] we were in Brooklyn and I was calling her, crying, and I was like, 'I just can't do it. There's no way that I'm going to be able to do this if it's going to be like this forever.' And I just remember she was so calm on the phone and she was like, 'It's going to pass, you're going to be fine and he's going to be healthy and we're here for you,'" the Arizona native detailed on a November 2021 episode of the "In Good Faith with Chelsea & Judah Smith" podcast. "But I also just think I was in it. I made a decision. I know for a fact that I’ve loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn’t do that to him." The Canada native, for his part, noted that he dealt with “out of body experiences” while trying to work on his mental health before seeking treatment. “I had experienced so many things in my life. So many milestones and traveled the world and seen everywhere in the world. And I just got to a place where I was lonely, and I just didn’t want to do it all alone,” the musician shared at the time. "I realized there was some serious healing I needed to go through in order to get to a place where I could be in a healthy, serious relationship because I had a lot of trauma and scars. | The View's Joy Behar Accidentally Falls Off Her Chair During Live Show Posted: 03 Mar 2022 11:46 AM PST  More than two decades on the air, Joy Behar faced a surprising situation when she fell out of her chair on The View on Thursday, March 3. During the live episode, Behar, 79, walked on stage and ended up slipping from her seat out of nowhere. Her cohosts helped her back into her seat, with Whoopi Goldberg saying, “These chairs move! You touch it and you’re on the ground.” When Sunny Hostin pointed out that she had the same issue, Behar replied back, “25 years, that has never happened. Who do I sue? My husband is home laughing, I bet.” The New York native, who is married to Steve Janowitz, noted that she “just missed the step” and wasn’t injured. Later on in the episode, Behar addressed the more serious side effects that can come from her accident. “Well, you know, I fall a lot. The main thing, just to talk seriously, when Bob Saget fell, he died. If you hit your head and you feel dizzy or you have blurred vision or you feel like you want to go to sleep, go to the doctor because that will kill you,” she explained. “But I’ve fallen a lot. I fall all the time. I’m a klutz! But this chair, this chair was like the exorcist. It was spring!” In January, news broke that Saget was found dead in his Florida hotel room. He was 65. One month later, Florida's Orange County Medical Examiner announced that Saget's death was the result of “blunt head trauma” from an “accidental” fall. The Full House alum’s family addressed the news in a statement to Us Weekly, noting, “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.” Following the shocking death, Saget’s former costar Candace Cameron Bure opened up about dealing with the loss. "Every day it feels a little bit better, but then it'll hit you outta nowhere," Bure, 45, told Us in February 2022 of his passing. "I will really greatly miss his friendship and the laughs and the hugs." The Hallmark star also revealed where her relationship with her faith stands since having to say goodbye to Saget, adding, “I don’t question my faith. I believe with all of my heart that God knows everything that’s happening and there’s nothing that catches him by surprise. He doesn’t make mistakes." |

Longtime bachelor George Clooney finally met his match in the stunning, accomplished human rights lawyer Amal Clooney. Still, it took Amal a little bit to accept that their romance was the real deal. "We never talked about marriage when we were dating, and I asked her out of the blue," George told CBS in November 2020. "[It] took her a long time to say yes. I was on my knee for, like, 20 minutes. I finally said, 'Look, I'm gonna throw my hip out.' We told that story to her parents, and they're like, 'There's something wrong with his hip?’" Five months after the actor proposed, the two got married in a fantasy wedding at the Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Venice, Italy, on September 27, 2014. “Staff were preparing bouquets, table arrangements and other floral designs well into the night,” a hotel source told Us Weekly at the time. “Everything they were using was white with green flourishes, lots of roses and peonies being used.” The pair first met while in Lake Como, Italy, in July 2013. Later that year, they had their first date in London. "I thought she was beautiful and I thought she was funny and obviously smart," the Ocean's Eleven actor told The Hollywood Reporter in September 2017. "We were writing each other, emailing, talking, mostly about what was going on in each other's lives, and over a period of time it became clear we were more than just friends." After a whirlwind romance and a couple vacations, the pair returned home to Los Angeles. It was then — while reminiscing on a trip to Kenya — that George decided he wanted to stay with Amal forever. "I had a picture of her, looking back, smiling at these giraffes," he told THR. "And I said, 'I think I'm going to ask her to marry me.'" Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev have been driving fans wild with their whirlwind romance following the professional wrestler's broken engagement to ex John Cena. Nearly seven months after Bella and Cena split for good in July 2018, Us Weekly confirmed that she and the Dancing With the Stars pro are dating, and had been seeing each other for "a while." The pair first met when they were partnered up on season 25 of the reality TV dance competition in 2017. At the time, the Total Divas alum and the Trainwreck actor were still going strong, with Cena even assuming Chigvintsev would be the one to choreograph his first dance with his then-fiancée at their wedding. "As far as dancing, I think he's probably gonna teach me my first dance," Cena told E! News in November 2017. "So hopefully I'll be able to take those tips from him there." After months of playing coy about their relationship, Bella confirmed her romance with Chigvintsev during an episode of Total Bellas in March 2019, and quickly went Instagram official with the dancer the following day. Nikki Bella is making it clear that she still wants to marry fiancé Artem Chigvintsev after her recent comments about their prolonged engagement sparked speculation to the contrary. The former WWE star, 38, raised eyebrows on Monday, February 28, when she revealed that the couple have yet to walk down the aisle in part because she wants to "make sure it's forever." Bella explained during an episode of E! News' Daily Pop that she doesn't want their son, Matteo, to "go through a divorce." The Total Bellas star, who has been engaged to Chigvintsev, 39, since November 2019, clarified her comments during a special edition of her and sister Brie Bella's "The Bellas" podcast on SiriusXM's Stitcher on Thursday, March 3. "I will be getting married, and I can't wait," Nikki told her twin sister, explaining that the duo's wedding is still something they want. "I do me, for me. So that means I'll marry Artem when I want, for me and [Matteo] and him for my life." Brie, who is married to Bryan Danielson, noted that things have changed in recent years, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic. "Back in the day, people would race to the courthouse to get married. Nowadays we're all very progressive," she said. "Some people are realizing they don't need a certificate to feel married. You and Artem act married. No one expects people to get married anymore." Nikki admitted that some of her remarks on Daily Pop made it seem like she just hooked up with the Dancing With the Stars pro in order to have a baby, which was not the case. Darcey Silva is shedding new light on her split from ex-fiancé Georgi Rusev as she prepares to reenter the dating pool. The Darcey & Stacey star, 47, confirmed on Monday, February 28, that she and Georgi, 34, called it quits. The pair got engaged in June 2020 but briefly ended things at the end of season 2 of the TLC reality show. They reconciled soon after but ultimately could not make their relationship work. "For me, it honestly was having to see everybody’s feelings on the relationship," Darcey exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 1, of the reason for the breakup. "I got to see my relationship from another perspective. I took a little time off, went to Turkey and decided that I just felt like it was time to cut the cord completely. I wasn’t getting what I wanted in the relationship in return. So, that was kind of the point where I said that this is not gonna work." The reality star noted that Georgi was "a little surprised" by the split, but he "probably knew it was coming" given the state of their romance as of late. She claimed that her ex was "not there for" her when it came to finances, adding, "I believe there was a little money issue with that as well, but that’s for me to keep to myself." Darcey's twin sister, Stacey Silva, told Us on Tuesday that she "wasn't surprised" by the broken engagement because she "felt like it was the right thing" for her sibling. "I felt free. I felt really good and very powerful, so [the trip to Turkey] gave me the guts to do it right then and there," Darcey chimed in. "No regrets, no excuses.
