NBA Rumors: Derrick Rose To LA, Russell Westbrook To NY In Proposed Lakers-Knicks Blockbuster Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers traded for Russell Westbrook last summer with the hope that he could boost their chances of fully dominating the Western Conference and winning the NBA championship title this season. Unfortunately, the Westbrook experiment turned out to be a massive failure for the Purple and Gold. Aside from inconsistent performance on both ends of the floor, he's clearly a bad fit with the Lakers superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The season is yet to come to an end, but rumors are circulating that Westbrook and the Lakers have a mutual interest in parting ways in the 2022 NBA offseason.

Lakers Send Russell Westbrook To NY

In a recent article, Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report created a list of "surprising" trades that could happen in the 2022 NBA offseason. These include a hypothetical blockbuster deal that would enable the Lakers to dump Westbrook to the New York Knicks. In the proposed trade scenario, the Lakers would be sending Westbrook to New York in exchange for a trade package that includes Derrick Rose, Evan Fournier, and Alec Burks. If the trade becomes a reality, Bailey believes it would help both teams in filling up the needs to improve on their roster.

Lakers Add Three Veteran Role Players

The proposed deal may not give the Lakers a superstar in return, but they would be receiving three solid veteran role players who would help James and Davis carry the team in the 2022-23 NBA season. Fournier and Burks would be great additions to the Lakers as they would help address the much-needed improvement in terms of floor spacing around their superstar duo. Rose may no longer be in his prime, but he could still ease the loads on James' shoulders in terms of ball-handling, playmaking, and scoring.

Knicks Finally Get A Superstar

The proposed blockbuster trade with the Lakers would fulfill the Knicks' dream of adding a legitimate superstar to their roster. Westbrook may have been a huge disappointment as a member of the Purple and Gold, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the same thing would happen when he plays in New York. Despite his struggle this season, nobody can erase the fact that Westbrook is a former MVP, a nine-time NBA All-Star, a two-time All-NBA First Team, and a five-time All-NBA Second Team.

Letting Russell Westbrook Run The Show

Westbrook would definitely love the idea of being traded to the Knicks, especially if they would agree to the idea of letting him run the show in New York. Aside from the opportunity to be part of another big-market franchise, playing for a team that would allow him to become their No. 1 scoring option would help him unleash his full potential and prove to everyone in the league that he still has plenty of gas left in his tank. If he performs well with the Knicks next season, it would strengthen his chances of landing another huge contract when he becomes an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2023.

Jennifer Aydin sat down with her brother, Steven, during filming on the 12th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And, during their candid conversation, which can be seen in a sneak peek shared by Page Six, Jennifer admitted that it was much easier to deal with her husband Bill Aydin's infidelity behind closed doors than it has been in the weeks since her co-star, Margaret Josephs, shared the news with the world.

“Now that it’s out there and I have to be forced to deal with it, it’s really hard," Jennifer explained as Steven noted that his sister “still [has] anger" over the betrayal.

Bill Aydin Is 'Uncomfortable' Talking About His Affair

According to Steven, he believes Jennifer is still “dealing with stuff” that should have been addressed at the time Jennifer initially learned that Bill had cheated many years ago.

After confessing that Steven was correct in his suspicions, Jennifer told her sibling she and Bill “don’t talk about" his affair because it makes Bill feel “uncomfortable.” 

Bill also feels uncomfortable with the idea of addressing his infidelity in counseling.

"He was almost like, ‘Listen, if we go into a space where we feel we can tell each other everything, I’m afraid that we’re going to open Pandora’s box and not be able to close it,’” Jennifer explained. 

Jennifer Aydin Wants To See More Of An Effort Out Of Bill When It Comes To Their Marriage

Looking back at a past conversation she had with her husband, Jennifer told Steven she informed Bill that he needs to "show that [he] f-cking cares."

"Because at this point in my marriage, I’m f-cking suffering and I don’t want to turn into Mom,” she told Steven. “I don’t want to be married 50 years with him and then think that my life passed me by."

Jennifer and Bill share five children, including Justin, 17, Gabriella, 14, Jacob, 13, Christian, 11, and Olivia, 10.

“I don’t think it’s fair for anybody to stay in a relationship where they’re not happy,” Jennifer continued. “I’m questioning my marriage, the trust we have for each other and that’s scary for me.”

Joe Rogan's Podcast Audience Key To Winning Elections, Research Shows

When Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience during the 2020 presidential election, liberal groups and activists denounced him, slamming the show's host Joe Rogan as a far-right radical.

But Rogan, a self-described progressive, ultimately endorsed Sanders for president, backing him over Joe Biden and about a dozen other Democrats.

Though Rogan's endorsement did not help tip the scales in Sanders' favor, wooing his audience may be key to winning elections, according to new research.

According to research conducted by Morning Consult, around one in 10 Americans describe themselves as "avid fans" of Rogan's podcast and two in 10 are casual fans.

More than 70 percent of avid Rogan fans are male, 60 percent are younger than 44 years old. A majority of his fans, 64 percent, are white, while 25 percent are Hispanic and another eight percent are Black or of another race.

Perhaps crucially, around a half of Rogan fans identify as Republican and around 70 percent have no college education.

According to GOP strategist Tim Miller, who ran communications for Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential campaign, Rogan's audience is "the very demographic Democrats need to be worried about."

Miller noted that Biden appears to be losing support from "white men with heterodox political views," and from certain groups of voters of colors, especially Hispanics.

This demographic, Miller argued, is embracing conservatism because liberals are not willing to engage with them.

"If the only thing they’re getting is cultural commentary from the right, is it a surprise they’re turning toward the right? I don’t think so," he said.

Reaching Out To Rogan Fans

Progressive activist Briahna Joy Gray, who worked on Sanders' 2020 campaign, said that Democrats need to woo young, working-class men in order to win elections.

"If the Democrats aren’t going to go to working-class voters, Republicans will, and they do, and that’s what happens on a lot of these types of shows," Gray said of Rogan's podcast, stressing that "America isn’t filled with Michael Steeles, Rachel Maddows or Nicolle Wallaces."

Rogan's Influence

All available data suggests that Rogan is incredibly influential, whether Democrats and liberals like it or not.

As reported by The Week, The Joe Rogan Experience has been described as the "most influential platform" on the internet, and Rogan himself has been called an "important peripheral figure" in America's culture wars.

Even after dozens of liberal groups and media outlets came together to "cancel" Rogan for platforming COVID-19 disinformation, the CEO of Spotify came to his defense.

Rogan, as The New York Times put it, is simply "too big to cancel."

Russia Imposes Sanctions On Joe Biden

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its twentieth day, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it is imposing sanctions on a number of high-ranking American officials -- including President Joe Biden.

The announcement comes as Russia is being hit with unprecedented economic sanctions from the United States and its allies. The sanctions have crippled the Russian economy, destroyed the ruble, and forced President Vladimir Putin to shut down the stock exchange.

"In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions banning, among other things, entry into the United States for top officials of the Russian Federation [U.S. officials are being placed on] the Russian ‘stop-list’ on the basis of mutual reciprocity," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement obtained by The Hill.

"This step, taken in the order of backlash, became an inevitable consequence of the extreme Russophobic course taken by the current #US Administration, which in a desperate attempt to preserve American hegemony, made a bet, throwing away all decency ... and Russia's frontal restraint."Russia's Sanctions

Apart from Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin are being hit with Russian sanctions.

The Kremlin's list also includes White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director William Burns, and the president's son Hunter Biden.

More American officials will be added to the list soon, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Russia is also imposing sanctions against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly, Defense Minister Anita Anand, and a number of other Canadian officials.

Tit-For-Tat Sanctions

Days after Russia invaded Ukraine, the Biden administration sanctioned Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and 11 members of the Russian security council.

Last week, Biden announced a complete ban on Russian energy imports. Most recently, the U.S. and other Group of Seven members moved to revoke Russia’s preferential trade status

The crisis has contributed to rising gas prices in the U.S. and elsewhere, but it has also helped Biden domestically -- his approval rating is rising.

Trump's Reaction

In a statement his spokesperson issued via Twitter, Trump condemned Russia's sanctions on Biden as a "terrible thing, in so many ways."

However, he argued that there may be a conflict of interest at play.

Trump said that the sanctions might help explain "why the Biden family received 3.5 million dollars from the very wealthy former Mayor of Moscow’s wife."

"Perhaps that’s why Biden has been so 'slow on the draw' with Russia," the former president said.

NBA Rumors: Proposed Trade Sends Julius Randle To Mavs For Tim Hardaway Jr. & Sterling Brown

Since the start of the 2021-22 NBA season, rumors have been continuously swirling around veteran power forward Julius Randle and his future with the New York Knicks. With his failure to live up to the hype of his last season's performance, some people started to question if Randle should be part of the Knicks' long-term plans. The 2022 NBA trade deadline may have passed with Randle still an official member of the Knicks' roster, but he's expected to be back on the trading block in the 2022 NBA offseason.

Julius Randle To Dallas Mavericks

Randle may have shown a decline in his numbers this season but once he becomes available on the trade market, he's expected to receive strong interest from teams that are in dire need of additional star power on their roster. One of the potential trade destinations for Randle next summer is the Dallas Mavericks. In a recent article, Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report discussed "surprising" trades that could happen in the 2022 NBA offseason. These include a hypothetical deal that would send Randle to the Mavericks in exchange for Tim Hardaway Jr. and Sterling Brown.

Follow Move For Russell Westbrook Trade

As Bailey noted, the proposed trade deal with the Mavericks would make more sense for the Knicks if they decide to pursue Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook in the 2022 NBA offseason. With his ball dominance and inability to attract defenders from beyond the arc, Bailey believes that Randle would be a bad fit alongside Westbrook in New York. By sending him to Dallas, the Knicks would be able to run the show with Westbrook as their main guy while surrounding him with two veteran three-and-D wingmen in Hardaway Jr. and Brown.

Julius Randle Boosts Mavericks' Frontcourt

Randle would be an incredible addition to the Mavericks. He may have gone through plenty of ups and downs this season, but he remains a very reliable contributor on both ends of the floors. He would give the Mavericks another prolific scorer next to Doncic, a great rebounder, on-court facilitator, and floor spacer. This season, the 27-year-old power forward is averaging 20.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting 42.0 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Julius Randle's Fit Alongside Luka Doncic

There would still be some questions regarding Randle's fit with Doncic, but it isn't expected to be as problematic as his possible pairing with Westbrook. When utilized correctly, Bailey believes Randle would be an "intriguing weapon" for the Mavericks.

"For Dallas, one might think that pairing Randle with Luka Doncic would lead to a lot of the same problems he might have with Westbrook," Bailey wrote. "Randle has grown accustomed to dominating the ball, but there'd be little reason to humor that on a team with Luka. But if the Mavericks used Randle more as a roll man or a secondary creator who'd attack closeouts against defenses scrambled by Doncic, his size and athleticism could make him an intriguing weapon."

Donald Trump Says America Is 'Being Absolutely Destroyed' Under Biden

The United States is facing nearly unprecedented challenges, both home and abroad.

The coronavirus pandemic is still ravaging the country, inflation is reaching record highs, and gas is more expensive than ever.

At the same time, multiple foreign policy crises are brewing, including the one in Ukraine, which is being invaded by Russian troops.

According to former President Donald Trump, his successor Joe Biden bears much of the responsibility for everything that's going on.

Trump Blasts Biden

In a new interview with Fox News, Trump ripped into Biden and said he had "no idea the country could go down so badly and so quickly."

Under Biden's leadership, Trump argued, America is "being absolutely destroyed."

To back up his argument, the former commander-in-chief pointed to a number of challenges the Biden administration has had to deal with, including supply chain issues, inflation, high gas prices, North Korea's more aggressive posture, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Supply Chain Issues

Trump claimed that during his administration "the words supply chain never really came up."

"They were not in the vocabulary of the administration, because everything was running like a fine-tuned machine. And we didn’t have any problems with supply chain," he continued.

The former president added that he saw "thousands" of "massive containers" when he traveled to Los Angeles, arguing that "it's going to take a long time" before supply chain problems are solved.

As reported by Axios, the Biden administration recently launched a new initiative to address the supply chain crisis.

Foreign Policy

Trump slammed Biden's foreign policy, saying that America now looks "weak, indecisive and incompetent."

"China is dictating terms to us. Russia on Ukraine. China with Taiwan. Kim Jong Un as you know of North Korea is sending up missile after missile and very importantly, Iran is having a lot of fun doing whatever they want," the former president said.

"And our country looks like it is just weak and incompetently run... Our dignity, our strength, it is being sapped and destroyed," he claimed.

Will Trump Challenge Biden?

It has long been speculated that Trump is gearing up for a comeback presidential run.

The former president himself has repeatedly gestured at running for office again, though he has yet to formally commit to launching a White House bid.

Biden, for his part, has made it clear he wants to run for reelection in 2024.

Asked by Fox News whether he wants to run for president again, Trump refused to answer the question directly, but said he is "going to make a lot of people happy."

"I've never had polls so strong," he added.
