Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau's Relationship Timeline

Posted: 03 Mar 2022 06:52 AM PST

Closing the door on romance? Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau have had fair share of ups and downs since they started dating in 2020.

After Moakler’s ex-husband Travis Barker‘s romance with Kourtney Kardashian made headlines, the former Playboy model opened up about her own love life.

“I’m with my boyfriend, Matthew. I’m super happy. We’re in such a great place and the things that I create with him, I’m not recycling from my past relationship,” the Rhode Island native exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2021, noting that she believed Barker was taking inspiration from their past throughout his relationship with Kardashian.

Moakler, who was married to the Blink-182 drummer from 2004 to 2008, explained at the time that she was more worried about how Barker’s actions would affect their kids: son Landon and daughter Alabama.

“I think it’s in poor taste to have your new girlfriend sit there while you put a skull and cross bones over my name and post it,” Moakler, who is also the mother of daughter Atiana with ex Oscar De La Hoya, shared. “But why post about it if you’re not trying to shade me? And then, of course, you know, my kids see that. They see their father basically insulting their mother, you know?”

That same month, the reality star’s children voiced their concerns about her relationship with Rondeau.

“Matthew is nothing but awful to her. Not only that, but he cheats on her,” Alabama claimed in an Instagram Story in May 2021, later adding that she didn’t feel close to her mother.

Moakler, for her part, shut down her daughter’s allegations, telling Us it was “heartbreaking” to see Alabama’s posts about the poker player. “What mother wants to have their child upset with them? What mother wants to hear their children say such horrible things?" she added, alleging that the teens were “being influenced” by “very manipulative” people in their lives.

Two months later, Rondeau confirmed that he and Moakler had called it quits.

“I broke up with Shanna months ago, and I’m happier than I have ever been,” he told Life & Style in July 2021. “I’m focusing truly on finding myself again as a person emotionally and mentally. I hope she finds what she’s looking for, but it’s not going to be me.”

Their breakup didn’t last long, however, as Us confirmed in October 2021 that the pair were giving their relationship another try.

"Shanna and Matthew have always been off and on, but they're in a really great place now," a source exclusively told Us. "He has been her confidant during this rough time in her life and they've been having a lot of fun together. They seem to be very happy together and Shanna's friends are thrilled she has love in her life."

Things took a turn for the twosome when Moakler joined the cast of Celebrity Big Brother in February 2022. While the CBS personality was discussing how much she missed her boyfriend, Rondeau made headlines when Teddi Mellencamp claimed she had received shady DMs from him about his girlfriend.

Before Moakler was evicted from the reality competition in February 2022 — and before the pair unfollowed each other on social media — a source informed Us that she would be “completely blindsided” by Rondeau’s actions once she was back in the real world. The insider also alleged that Rondeau was jealous of Moakler’s connection with fellow houseguest Lamar Odom.

Like, I'm in a relationship with Matthew and we're doing our own thing," Moakler told Us, referring to her ex-husband's PDA with his now-fiancée. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rondeau confirmed his split from Moakler after removing photos of her from his social media feed.  "I broke up with Shanna months ago," he explained in July 2021. "It is disappointing things couldn't work out between us two, but sometimes love isn't enough. ... Making that decision to have us move on and go our separate ways was not easy, but I know it was the right decision. And overall, beneficial for the both of us." Moakler didn't publicly react to the breakup, but she did share a quote via Instagram, which read, "Women don't even trip after breakups anymore. Following Mellencamp's departure from Celebrity Big Brother, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum called out her former housemate's man. “Shanna’s boyfriend, who I didn’t tag in any posts, slid into my DMs as well,” Mellencamp said on an episode of her and Tamra Judge’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast in February 2022. “Let’s just say, Shanna, when you get out of the house, if he hasn’t told you anything, you need to call me girl." The accountability coach clarified that Rondeau didn't try to hit on her. Before Moakler was voted off CBB, Rondeau raised eyebrows when he unfollowed her on Instagram and removed all their photos.  "When she comes out of the house, she's in for a wakeup call," an insider told Us, adding that Rondeau "causes a lot of drama" in their relationship. “It was amazing,” Moakler exclusively told Us of her Valentine’s Day after being voted out of the Big Brother house hours earlier. “It was very refreshing to be able to come home and just decompress and be around my things.” The former Miss USA, who didn’t mention Rondeau when talking about the holiday, added: “It was so nice.” That same month, Moakler revealed to TooFab the couple were "working on things" as they attempted to move forward "the best that we can." Rondeau sparked concern when he went on an Instagram Live tirade about Moakler, accusing her of cheating on him and still having feelings for Barker. “She’s a f--king whore, I don’t give a f--k, you can quote me on it,” he said. “It’s f--king done.”Us confirmed later that day that he had been arrested. A source told Us that Rondeau and Moakler “were working on their relationship” the day before his arrest. “They were celebrating the Celebrity Big Brother finale and got into a fight later on in the night, which is when things escalated,” the insider said. “She left their home to give him space and came back in the morning, which is when they got into another fight.” The insider added that the pair had “gotten into fights before in the past,” but the dispute that led to his arrest “got out of control.” “They definitely have a toxic relationship and go through this toxic cycle of breaking up and getting back together,” the source said. Rondeau was released from jail six hours after his arrest, subsequently writing via Instagram Stories: “Today was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life. To my family and friends, I just want you to know I love you so so much. You know I’d never lay a hand on another woman. My mother is my angel and my best friend. She raised me right. … I’m just mentally drained and in complete disbelief. The love of my life has made me out to be the villain.” Courtesy of Matthew Rondeau/Instagram

Us exclusively confirmed on February 27 that Moakler was issued an emergency protective order against Rondeau.
The Los Angeles Police Department granted her the protective order shortly after Rondeau’s arrest. In the report, obtained by Us, the suspect was accused of grabbing the former Bridalplasty host by her hair, and swinging her onto the ground. He then allegedly threw a chair and urinated on her, leaving visible injuries. The restraining order is valid for seven days until March 3, and the model must not “harass, attack, strike, threaten, [or] assault” the Celebrity Big Brother alum nor contact her directly or indirectly “by any means.” The terms also stipulate that Rondeau must stay at least 100 yards away from her and move out of her home immediately. Seth Rogen, Lauren Miller: Hilarity for Charity Gives Us ‘Meaning and Purpose’

Posted: 03 Mar 2022 06:07 AM PST

When Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller aren't writing their next scripts, they're working with a "small and mighty team" to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease — all year round.

Celebrity Charity

The couple launched Hilarity for Charity, a nonprofit that supports families and caregivers impacted by the illness, in 2012. They've since raised $17 million for the cause and hosted their second annual CareCon on February 18.

Miller, 39, has a personal connection to the organization, as her mom, Adele Miller, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at 55 and passed in 2020.

"It's given meaning and purpose to huge loss in my life. I personally have gotten so much out of the fortunate opportunity that we had to help other people, which has, in turn, helped me process the loss that my family went through with my mom having this terrible disease," Miller exclusively tells Us Weekly. "So it’s really a very large feeling of what it means to us. And it's really something that ranges from insane joy to just lots of tears of, 'I can't believe that we’ve gotten to do this stuff.'"

Stars Protesting for Change

CareCon is a virtual event created to educate and support Alzheimer's and dementia caregivers. This year, Miller and Rogen, 39, were joined by famous pals such as Amy Poehler, Ben Feldman, Steve Aoki, Dan Fogelman and Adam Shapiro, who conducted workshops and panels — all while bringing some laughs — via Zoom.

"[Amy did] a deep dive into her sleep. Sleep is really important for your brain and your brain health, which is a huge pillar of the work we do at HFC," Miller said. "And so she was fun. Seth was in that panel. I think they laughed a lot."

For Rogen, it wasn't his usual kind of hangout with the Saturday Night Live alum, 50. "It was great. I’ve known her since I was 18 years old. I think we were both kinda looking at each other on the Zoom, being like, 'Wow, after all of these years who would have thought brain health was the thing that would bring us back together?' If you saw what we were doing the last time we hung out you would not have thought that," he joked to Us. "It's funny how things go as you get older, but at the same time, it’s really nice to see how people that I like and respect and have for a long time I now like and respect for a whole new reason."

Hilarity for Charity has grown immensely since its launch, with more volunteers asking each year if they can help. "It's really been a real evolution," the Long Shot actor said. "Just getting famous people to do things is not the easiest thing in the world! We've been very fortunate how many of our friends and colleagues have been willing to donate their time and energy to HFC and to our shows and stuff like that. And over the years, people have grown to understand what it is that we’re doing."

SNL’s Most Successful Cast Members

He added: "I've actually had celebrities reach out to me who I barely know and say, like, 'Oh someone in my family got Alzheimer's. I would love to help your organization some way if I could.' And so just us I think being so vocal about it over the years has made it a lot easier in a lot of ways."

Working with his father-in-law, Scott Miller, has also been a highlight. The actress' dad presented a special caregiver with the inaugural Scotty Caregiver Award, which is named after him, at this year's CareCon.

"To be honest, it was nerve-wracking," Lauren admitted, laughing.

Rogen teased: "Actually before, I was like, 'How long is this speech going to be?'"

"He said wonderful things, but he can go on a bit," she agreed. "And so it was good and hilarious and he did a really good job. He was very sweet. I think it really meant a lot to him. I mean, my dad cared a lot for my mom, like 16 years. I witnessed no greater act of love than what I saw between the two of them. So to have an award named after him is so nice."

Stars Who Go Above and Beyond for Fans

With their own experience having a loved one with Alzheimer's, Hilarity for Charity happened organically. And it continues to grow with new support programs and impactful fundraisers.

"We have a calendar of events that we set up months and months in advance for the new calendar year," Lauren noted. "We're always constantly prepping. So as soon as the last CareCon ended last year, we started prepping for this one by sending surveys and asking people what was helpful and what they would want to look for the next year."

HFC, which celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year, has only strengthened the couple's bond too.

"We’ve been together throughout this entire journey. We’ve been together like 18 years," the Superbad star said to Us.

Lauren chimed in: "Almost 17!"

‘Superbad’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

"Almost 17 years, I don't know," Rogen joked. "So essentially around when this whole journey started. So I’d say it’s been as formative in our relationship as any other thing in a lot of ways. And I think a lot of the evolution of our relationship was kinda built around dealing with this thing and supporting each other throughout it. I think we've learned a lot about each other."

DWTS’ Maks Reunites With Wife Peta in Emotional Video After Fleeing Ukraine

Posted: 03 Mar 2022 05:59 AM PST

A long-awaited reunion. Maks Chmerkovskiy was greeted by wife Peta Murgatroyd upon his return to Los Angeles after fleeing Ukraine amid Russia's invasion.

The 42-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro touched down at LAX on Wednesday, March 2, nearly one week since he revealed he was out of the country to film the Ukrainian version of World of Dance when Russia invaded on February 24.

“I just don’t want to resent peace somewhere else because of what I just saw, that’s the reality. I don’t know really what to say right this second," Chmerkovskiy told Entertainment Tonight after his lengthy embrace with Murgatroyd, 35.

The outlet published a video of the pair hugging twice before walking out of the airport hand in hand.

“The reason why Ukraine is standing right now is because of the Ukrainian people. And the fact that the entire world is helping," Chmerkovskiy continued. “Huge shout-out to Poland, huge shout-out to neighboring countries. The way I was treated through the whole process of leaving into Poland, I’ve just got to bow down to the Polish people.”

Chmerkovskiy, who claimed he was arrested amid the unrest, began his journey home on Monday, February 28, chronicling his "traumatizing" train ride from Ukraine to Poland.

"At first it feels manageable but gets A LOT worse when it comes time to actually board the train. Long story, but all I can say now is that I'm a big man with nothing but a backpack … currently I'm in a cabin with 4 adults and 7 kids (ages 2-11) which usually is only occupied by a maximum of 3 people," he wrote via Instagram Stories at the time, noting "usually up to 30 people in this particular wagon" he was riding in. "We were told we have to fit 135. Walkways are packed. People everywhere. It's sweaty and claustrophobic."

Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd tied the knot in 2017. They share son Shai, 5.

Prior to his return to the U.S., the New Zealand native shared a video of the candles she's been lighting for her husband.

"I rotated candles and never let them blow out for those 5 days. 24/7," she wrote on Tuesday, March 1. "@maksimc I cannot wait to be with you again."

Days earlier, she wrote, "My pain is overwhelming and I'm struggling, but you sending your positive light and love to him would be the world to me. Truly, I wish for nothing more. … Please pray that he has a swift, safe exit. I have faith. I have hope and I have prayed so hard."

Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor Are ‘Excited’ About Future After Reconciling

A fresh start! Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are ready for the next chapter of their marriage after getting back together.

"He's a totally different person now — way more grown up and tolerant of himself and his own idiosyncrasies as well as others," a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. "They plan to cherish what they have, and both he and Christine are beyond excited about what's in store for the future."

Stiller, 56, confirmed in February that he and Taylor, 50, had reconciled. The news came nearly five years after the couple — who share daughter Ella, 19, and son Quinlin, 16 — announced their separation.

The Meet the Parents star told Esquire that his relationship with the actress "evolved" after he moved back in with her and their kids amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"We were separated and got back together and we're happy about that," he gushed. "It's been really wonderful for all of us. Unexpected, and one of the things that came out of the pandemic."

The insider tells Us that Stiller and Taylor's split was "a long time coming" because they had not been "seeing eye to eye on a number of things." However, the separation ended up being a wakeup call for him.

"It was a serious eye-opener for Ben to see what he'd lost once they split," the source says. "He missed her terribly and hated the idea of their kids growing up in a broken home."

Stiller did "a lot of self-evaluation" amid the pandemic, which led to positive changes. "He made a conscious effort to stop sweating the small stuff and figure out how to channel his energy whilst compromising with Christine on those issues that really didn't matter at the end of the day," the insider reveals.

The Night at the Museum actor and Taylor tied the knot in May 2000. They announced their separation in May 2017, noting in a joint statement to Us that they had "tremendous love and respect for each other" and planned to continue "raising [their] children as devoted parents and the closest of friends."

Elsewhere in his Esquire interview, Stiller got real about daughter Ella's feelings about him not being around when she was a child.

"She's pretty articulate about it, and sometimes it's stuff that I don't want to hear. It's hard to hear," he explained. "Because it's me not being there in the ways that I saw my parents not being there. And I had always thought, 'Well, I won't do that.'"

Stiller added while he tried to balance his career and family, his kids "want a parent who's emotionally present and supportive of them" rather than for him "to be going off and pushing the bounds of my creativity."
