Salma Hayek Admits Having Intense Conversations With 'Eternals' Co-Star Angelina Jolie

Salma Hayek guested on BBC's The Graham Norton Show and had a couple of things to share about her new BFF Angelina Jolie.

The two star alongside each other in Marvel's latest superhero movie Eternals, which follows powerful immortal beings who has looked after humans throughout the ages.

This is the first time that Hayek and Jolie have starred in a film together but the two hit it off and have become fast friends.

Intense Conversations With Angelina Jolie

While on The Graham Norton Show, Hayek opened up about her friendship with Jolie. She shared that she sometimes has "intense conversations" with the Maleficent actress.

"I spent a lot of time with these people, and they are such good friends now," she said.

"Angie (Angelina Jolie) is amazing – we have so much in common and we really hit it off. She has kids the same age as mine and we love to fight for justice – her more than me. Sometimes we have really intense conversations and sometimes I just had to say, 'Oh no, not today, Angie!'"

Salma And Angelina Became "Soul Sisters"

Jolie plays elite warrior Thena in the movie, while Hayek is the spiritual leader Ajak.

The two veteran actresses are similar in many ways, which made it easy for them to develop a friendship.

"I discovered a soul sister who is similar to me in so many ways. I felt like I'd known her for my entire life. I got to know her a little better than everyone else, and it's very precious to me," Hayek said in an interview with Elle.

Angelina Shoved Salma's Face On A Cake

The two have become so close that Angie had the honor of shoving Salma's face on a cake for her 55th birthday.

Hayek explained that this is a Mexican tradition called 'Mordida'. On her appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live, Salma shared how Angie took part in the tradition.

"We were starting, 'Mordida!' She's like, 'What's happening?'" Hayek said Jolie was hesitant to shove her face on the cake but then, "She got over [it]."

Eternals Getting Unfavorable Reviews

While Salma and Angie have been getting along well, Eternals seems to be struggling with the movie critics. It has been getting unfavorable reviews from the critics and also being review bombed, even before its official release.

The film is now the lowest-rated Marvel movie on Rotten Tomatoes, with a rating of 60%.

The Eternals is scheduled to be released in theaters for the general public in November 5, 2021.

Mexican-born beauty Salma Hayek has been happily married to billionaire French businessman François-Henri Pinault for 12 years, yet their relationship still sparks public interest even after more than a decade of love.

While the award-winning actress, 55, often sings her hubby's praises on Instagram -- and she's not stingy with the romantic photos! -- fans are still curious about her significant other, who doesn't appear to have a social media presence of his own.

Thankfully, Hayek -- who also posts the occasional shout-out to her in-laws, Kering empire founder François Pinault and Louise Gautier -- often keeps followers up to speed with her partner's many achievements.

Here's what we know about the 59-year-old billionaire, whose family is one of the richest in France.

François-Henri Pinault's Net Worth

According to Forbes, as of 2021, Pinault has an estimated net worth of $7billion. As impressive as that sounds, his fortune is a far cry from his father's estimated net worth of $49.4billion.

The French businessman has been president of Groupe Artémis since 2003, a company famed for its investments in fashion, food, wine, luxury, art, and tourism. He also holds the honorary CEO and chairman positions at his father's company, Kering, which he has helmed since 2005, and which owns luxury fashion brands Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Gucci.

His family also owns French Ligue 1 soccer club Stade Rennais FC, which they purchased in 1998. Hayek reportedly handles the team's affairs, per The Sun.

Most notably, Pinault made headlines in April 2019 following the devastating fire at Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, after donating $11 million through his company Artémis to help with repairs of the historic Parisian monument.

Later that same year, Hayek was gushing over her philanthropist hubby on Instagram, praising his entrepreneurial acumen: "I am so proud of my husband who ranked number 3 in the Harvard Business Review: 'The Best Performing CEOs in the World'!!!"

More recently, the Frida star was bursting with pride as she announced on social media this September that Pinault's company Kering was going entirely fur-free. To celebrate, she went makeup-free for a romantic couple's selfie on the water, snagging over half a million likes.

They Got Married On Valentine's Day

As you'd expect from a perfect love story such as theirs, Hayek and Pinault exchanged marriage wows on Valentine's day. The couple was wed on February 14, 2009, in Paris's sixth arrondissement town hall, later tying the knot again in an extravagant, star-studded ceremony in Venice on April 25.

Both dates are religiously celebrated on Instagram by the Desperado actress, along with her husband's day of birth, May 28. For this year's birthday post, the Hollywood star shared a gorgeous photo of the two locked in a tender embrace, along with a trilingual message honoring their multi-cultural household. "Happy birthday, my love," she wrote in English, French, and Spanish.

Just when you thought things couldn't be more romantic, Hayek and Pinault left fans swooning with their secret vow renewal ceremony in Bora Bora on August 28, 2018, which was as much of a surprise for the Bliss star.

"The summer is coming to an end and my best moment was when my husband surprised me with a vow renewal - it was not what I would have chosen to wear to my wedding but I was told I was going to the spa!" Hayek wrote on Instagram, sharing pictures from the intimate event, which you can see by scrolling through the embed above.

They Have A Child Together

Hayek and Pinault are the proud parents of 14-year-old daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault. The spouses welcomed their baby girl on September 21, 2007, six months after announcing their engagement and making the pregnancy public. According to The Sun, Valentina has a net worth of $12 million that has been set aside for her future.

Pinault also has three other children from past relationships. The Frenchman was previously married to Dorothée Lepère from 1996 to 2004, with whom he shares 22-year-old son François and 20-year-old daughter Mathilde. He also fathered a child with supermodel Linda Evangelista, 15-year-old son Augustin James Evangelista.

Of Valentina, her mother told Red magazine back in 2017: "I try to be with Valentina as much as possible, even when I'm working. She was with me on [the photoshoot for the magazine] and she felt like a participant — she wasn't just sitting there on the iPad. This is so important."

Hayek loves talking about her husband in public and she had plenty of things to say on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast earlier this year. The actress held nothing back as she slammed the rumors that she married Pinault for his money.

"When I married him, everybody said, 'Oh, it's an arranged marriage. She married him for the money,'" Hayek said, before setting the record straight: "I'm like, 'Yeah, whatever, b**ch. Think what you want. Fifteen years together.' And we are strong in love, and I don't even get offended."

The Hollywood star went on to rave about her husband: "In pictures, you cannot begin to guess the magic in him. He's made me become a much better person and grow in such a good, healthy way."

Of those criticizing their relationship, she had this to say: "They cannot begin to imagine what a joy that human being is."

The artist, whose full name is Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo, met the man who would later become the father of her only child when she was still in her late teens. Jhené and fellow musician O'Ryan Omir Browner were first introduced after she appeared in music videos for his older brother's band, B2K. They began dating in 2005 when she was 17 and he was 18, and were together for three years, until 2008.

That same year, the couple welcomed their daughter, Namiko Love Browner, who is turning 13 on November 19.

Rose played the role of Kate Kane, who became Batwoman to protect Gotham City in the absence of Bruce Wayne.

Her sudden exit brought to light issues on the set. There have been accusations of verbal abuse, toxic work environments, and more.

Rose's stint as a superhero may have been quick but she still earned a good amount of money for the project.

Ruby Rose's Breakout Role

The 35-year-old actress first appeared on TV in Netflix's Orange is the New Black. Although this wasn't her first acting project, it was her breakout role as prisoner Stella Carlin that launched her Hollywood career.

She recalled in an Instagram post that she had to leave everything behind to pursue a career in Hollywood. She was down to her last cents and living on a blow-up mattress when she got a break and was casted in OITNB.

The show was, of course, a huge hit and led to more projects for the actress.

How Much Ruby Rose Earned On Batwoman

In a report published by Variety, it was revealed how much Ruby's salary per episode was as Batwoman.

She was earning $60,000 - $75,000 per episode on the series. With 20 episodes in the first series, Rose earned an estimated $1,000,000 - $1,500,000 for the project.

Rose left the show shortly after the first season ended and claimed it was because of a toxic work environment.

Rose Exits Batwoman After One Season

Rose recently spoke out about why she left the series.

"Enough is enough. I'm going to tell the world what really happened on that set," Rose said on her Instagram.

She called out showrunner Carloine Dries, saying Dries didn't stop filming even after the government-mandated shutdown due to the pandemic. She also blasted Warner Bros. TV chief Peter Roth for forcing her to return to filming just 10 days after her spinal surgery.

Co-star Dougray Scott also got some lashing. Rose claims he hurt a female stunt double and "yelled like a little bitch at women and was a nightmare."

Cast Members Refute Rose's Claim

New details have emerged refuting Rose's claims. According to other cast members and the studio, she was the one who had a bad attitude on set. They also say that she didn't resign but was actually fired.

"Batfam ya know I couldn't go the whole day without saying something!" actor Camrus Johnson tweeted. "But yea fam, she was fired. And it is VERY hard to be fired when you're the lead. Imagine what u have to do for that 2 happen."

NBA Rumors: Damian Lillard to Pelicans For Brandon Ingram Centered Package

No matter how many times the Trailblazers say they have no interest in trading Damian Lillard and undergoing a full-scale rebuild, rumors still continue to swirl around All-Star point guard's future with the team. With their failure to surround him with a title-contending team this summer, most people believe that it would only be a matter of time before Lillard follows in the footsteps of other superstars and starts finding his way out of Portland.

Pelicans Win Lillard Sweepstakes

Once he becomes officially available on the trading block, several teams will surely be lining up to get Lillard out of Portland. One of the young teams that could express a strong interest in acquiring Lillard is the New Orleans Pelicans. In a recent article, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report suggested a way on how the Pelicans would be able to win the Lillard sweepstakes before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

In the proposed trade scenario, the Pelicans would be sending a package that includes Brandon Ingram, Devonte' Graham, Jaxson Hayes, Kira Lewis Jr., a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2025 first-round pick to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Lillard, Robert Covington, and Tony Snell.

Pairing Lillard With Zion Williamson

Lillard may not have shown a strong indication that he's no longer happy in Portland, but most NBA fans would definitely be thrilled to see him wearing the Pelicans' jersey this season. As Buckley noted, being traded to the Pelicans would allow Lillard to be paired with the "best co-star he's ever had" in his career.

"But a trip to the Big Easy would immediately team Lillard with the best co-star he's ever had in Zion Williamson, who isn't even 100 games into his NBA career and already looks unguardable," Buckley wrote. "Last season, both Lillard (third) and Williamson (eighth) ranked as top-10 scorers. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were the only teammates to both snag top-10 spots."

Lillard Improves Pelicans' Offense

Giving up Ingram and other precious assets for Lillard should be a no-brainer for the Pelicans, especially if they want to keep Williamson happy and become a more competitive team in the Western Conference. The successful acquisition of Lillard would help the Pelicans improve their offensive efficiency that currently ranks the third-worst in the league, scoring 98.6 points per 100 possessions, per ESPN.

Lillard would give the Pelicans one of the league's best clutch scorers, as well as an incredible playmaker and an elite three-point shooter.

Trail Blazers Rebuild

The suggested trade would also make a lot of sense for the Trail Blazers if Lillard is no longer interested in staying as the face of the franchise. By sending him to New Orleans, the Trail Blazers would be getting four young and promising talents in Ingram, Graham, Lewis Jr., and Hayes who could be part of their long-term plans, together with two future first-round picks.

With his huge superstar potential, the Pelicans could make Ingram the centerpiece of the next title-contending team that they will try to build in Portland.
