Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik: A Timeline of Their Relationship Posted: 28 Oct 2021 06:20 PM PDT Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been through a whole lot since their on-off relationship began. The former One Direction singer announced the arrival of the couple’s first child, daughter Khai, in September 2020. "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful," Malik wrote via Twitter at the time. "To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task." Us Weekly confirmed in April 2020 that the model and the British crooner were expecting their first child. "She's always wanted to start a family with Zayn," a source told Us exclusively of the then-pregnant star. Hadid and Malik's romance started in a very traditional way in November 2015. "I just asked her [out]. It was pretty straight-up," he recalled on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up in December 2016. "A gentleman never tells the full details! But, yeah, we met and we spoke, and we went on a date." Two months later, the singer premiered the music video for his debut solo single, "Pillowtalk," and it starred none other than his new girlfriend. The budding couple continued to publicize their relationship that spring, appearing in an April 2016 spread for Vogue and making their red carpet debut at the Met Gala weeks later. Hadid and Malik broke up for the first time in June 2016, but they were back together within a matter of days. From that point forward, their romance was full steam ahead — at least for a few years. "We try not to think about [dating in the spotlight] too much," the former boy bander told Us exclusively in September 2017. "There are a lot of people who are too busy in other people's lives. I just concentrate on my relationship and try to do right by my girlfriend and she does by me, and we hope for the best, as we all do!" The pair called it quits for the second time in March 2018, but once again, the breakup didn't last very long. They reunited a month later, only to go their separate ways one last time in January 2019. During their yearlong break, Hadid had a two-month fling with The Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron. Malik, meanwhile, wrapped up the promotional campaign for his album Icarus Falls and laid low the rest of the year. Us broke the news in January 2020 that the lovebirds were back together again after "trying to make it work" for several months. They welcomed Khai nine months later, but multiple sources confirmed to Us in October 2021 that the pair split once again. I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.” The musician later denied “striking” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum while speaking with TMZ, telling the outlet, “For the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private." Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid Split Amid Alleged Yolanda Hadid Drama Posted: 28 Oct 2021 05:52 PM PDT ![]() Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have split amid Yolanda Hadid's claims about an alleged altercation with the musician, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly. "Zayn and Gigi have silently separated," a source exclusively tells Us of the pair, who share 13-month-old daughter Khai. "They'd been having problems for a while and tried to figure them out, but it just wasn't working." According to the insider, "some of their issues" may have stemmed from an "irresponsible" incident involving the 28-year-old singer, who got into a fight outside of a New York City bar in June. The 26-year-old model "wasn't happy" with what went down, the source adds. Ultimately the pair, who reconnected in January 2020 following five years of dating on and off, "just grew apart," the source says, adding, "Gigi has been busy with her modeling career and is leaning on her mom, Yolanda, and sister Bella [Hadid] for support." Malik "continues to be very much involved in Khai's life," according to the insider. "He and Gigi still care deeply for each other." A second source tells Us the twosome "have been broken up for almost five months now." News of the duo's split comes shortly after TMZ reported on Thursday, October 28, that Yolanda, 57, claimed she was "struck" by Malik during an argument. The singer responded in a lengthy Twitter statement that afternoon after Us reached out to Yolanda's rep for comment. “As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter [Khai] to grow up in,” he wrote on Thursday. “A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.” The U.K. native explained that he wished the alleged incident had stayed “a private matter,” but added that he was hopeful that there would be “healing for all involved with the hard words shared.” He later issued a stronger statement to TMZ, telling the outlet, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details. I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private." While Yolanda has yet to address the situation, a spokesperson for the model told E! News on Thursday, "Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai" and is asking for "privacy during this time." The exes originally started dating in November 2015 before calling it quits less than one year later. They broke up and got back together several times before Us confirmed their reconciliation in January 2020. Three months later, multiple sources confirmed Gigi's pregnancy. "[Gigi has] always wanted to start a family with Zayn," one insider noted in April 2020. Khai was born five months later and the proud parents later took to social media to announce their daughter’s arrival. "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful," Malik tweeted at the time alongside a photo of him holding his daughter’s fingers. "To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x." Gigi added via Instagram the same month, "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she's already changed our world. So in love." In October 2020, an insider told Us that things were “going really swimmingly” at home for the family of three. "Gigi and Zayn are loving parenthood and can't get enough of their little girl,” the source said, adding that the California native was focusing on “appreciating every moment” with her daughter and Malik. Earlier this year, Gigi opened up about how the X Factor UK alum found a place for himself in her family. “At first he was like, ‘How do I get a word in edgewise?'” she told Harper’s Bazaar in July. “But now he is very comfortable. He speaks his mind. When he’s in the middle of a family thing and everyone’s like, ‘Zayn, whose side are you on?’ … He’s charming.” |
Facebook Changes Name to Meta: What to Know About the Switch Posted: 28 Oct 2021 04:58 PM PDT What's in a name? Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday, October 28, that Facebook will now be called Meta to better encompass what the company does. Zuckerberg, who founded Facebook in 2004, unveiled plans to build a "metaverse," which he pictures as a space where people can work, play, communicate and game in a virtual space. "From now on, we're going to be the metaverse first, not Facebook first," he said at the company’s annual Connect conference. “Our brand is so tightly linked to one product that it can’t possibly represent everything we’re doing today, let alone the future.” The New York native, 37, explained that over time, his team hopes Meta can be seen as a "metaverse company," which is what he wants to "anchor" its work and identity to as of Thursday. “We’re now looking at and reporting on our business as two different segments, one for our family of apps, and one for our work on future platforms," he continued. “And as part of this, it is time for us to adopt a new company brand to encompass everything that we do, to reflect who we are and what we hope to build.” The company updated its social media pages with a fresh logo and new handle on Twitter for Meta, following the major announcement. "The metaverse is the next evolution of social connection. It’s a collective project that will be created by people all over the world, and open to everyone," the brand noted via Twitter on Thursday. "You'll be able to socialize, learn, collaborate and play in ways that go beyond what's possible today." The platforms within the company, including Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, will not change. The new moniker came amid waves of controversy surrounding the company. Earlier this month, The Washington Post reported that Facebook withheld important information about vaccine misinformation. Facebook spokesperson Aaron Simpson told the publication in a statement on Thursday that they've worked toward promoting reliable information regarding the coronavirus pandemic, but it's not an easy task. "There's no silver bullet to fighting misinformation, which is why we take a comprehensive approach which includes removing more than 20 million pieces of content that break our COVID misinformation policies … connecting more than 2 billion people to reliable information about COVID-19 and vaccines, and partnering with independent fact-checkers," Simpson said. The company was previously accused of not protecting its users from predators and abusers, and is currently in the middle of a scandal about its alleged involvement in genocide, human trafficking and disinformation. Zuckerberg previously claimed that the allegations were a “coordinated effort to selectively use leaked documents to paint a false picture of our company." Scroll down to learn more about Facebook's rebrand: ![]() The word “meta” comes from the Greek word meaning “beyond.” Zuckerberg also penned a “Founders Letter,” which he uploaded to the Meta website on Thursday to further explain the name he picked. “For me, it symbolizes that there is always more to build, and there is always a next chapter to the story. Ours is a story that started in a dorm room and grew beyond anything we imagined,” he wrote. “Into a family of apps that people use to connect with one another, to find their voice, and to start businesses, communities, and movements that have changed the world.” Shutterstock ![]() The entrepreneur will stay on as Meta’s CEO and continue to oversee the changes being made within the parent company. Zayn, Gigi and Yolanda's Most Candid Quotes About Their Family Dynamic Posted: 28 Oct 2021 02:55 PM PDT A rocky relationship. Gigi Hadid's family welcomed Zayn Malik into the fold when the two began dating, but trouble between him and her mother, Yolanda Hadid, eventually surfaced. Gigi and Malik were first linked in November 2015. They briefly broke up in June 2016 before temporarily calling it quits again in March 2018. They split for a third time in January 2019, but Us Weekly broke the news in January 2020 that they were back together. Us confirmed in April of that year that the couple were expecting their first child, and their daughter, Khai, arrived in September 2020. The former One Direction member opened up about his relationship with the model in September 2017. "We try not to think about [dating in the spotlight] too much," he exclusively told Us at the time. "There are a lot of people who are too busy in other people's lives. I just concentrate on my relationship and try to do right by my girlfriend and she does by me, and we hope for the best, as we all do!" Gigi and Malik bonded even more after the arrival of their daughter. "She's a wicked mom," he told iHeartRadio's Valentine in the Morning in March 2021. "Obviously, she's a really big help with everything, and she's doing well." The singer confessed that he did not "expect to be quite so into" parenthood. "It's been really easy for me and Gig to kind of just ease into it," he explained. "She kind of made it easy for us, she sleeps really well, she loves her milk. It's just feeding and changing diapers at the moment." The pair relied on her family as they made the shift, setting up their home base in Pennsylvania, where the Hadids have a farm. Gigi also looked to Yolanda as a source of inspiration as she figured out how to be a first-time mother. "Best I could ever ask for," she wrote via Instagram in May 2020 while pregnant with Khai. "Happy Mother's Day to the one I'll do my best to emulate. I love you beyond words @yolanda.hadid you are a superhero!!!!!" Gigi's family seemingly embraced Malik from the get-go, but things took a turn in October 2021 when he released a statement about "an argument [he] had with a family member of [his] partner's." The tweet came after TMZ reported that Yolanda wanted to file a police report about an alleged incident with her daughter's boyfriend. According to the outlet, the reality star claimed that the musician “struck” her. “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid,” he retorted in a second statement, encouraging her to “reconsider her false allegations.” Scroll through the gallery below to revisit Malik, Gigi and Yolanda's quotes about their relationship. ![]() The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared a cuddly photo of her daughter and the crooner via Instagram in August 2017. “Summer Loving,” she captioned the pic, adding a red heart emoji. “#Family.” Shutterstock (2) ![]() Yolanda could not say enough kind words about Malik in February 2018. “He’s a beautiful human being from Bradford, England,” she told the Daily Mail at the time. “He’s from the same background that I’m from, him and I get along great and he’s like a son to me. It’s all good. He has no family here and he’s so far away, so I understand that life because I lived that life. I think that I’m just a mama to him.” She continued: “When you raise your children, I hope I instilled the best in them to make the right choices and turn to me and say, ‘I love this man,’ then I’m going to love them too. Zayn Malik Through the Years: From One Direction to Solo Hitmaker Posted: 28 Oct 2021 02:17 PM PDT Zayn Malik almost missed his chance at fame. On the morning of his audition for The X Factor UK in 2010, he felt so nervous that he decided not to go — that is, until his mother, Tricia, basically dragged him out of bed and helped change his mind. The rest, as they say, was history. In the middle of the competition, creator and judge Simon Cowell grouped Malik with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson to form a boy band named One Direction. The fivesome went on to conquer the world, releasing four albums together in the same number of years and performing at historic stadiums across North America, Europe and beyond. Malik abruptly left the group in 2015 in the middle of one of their On the Road Again tour. He explained to fans that there was not a rift between the members, but he simply wanted time away from the spotlight. In a British Vogue profile in 2018, the "Story of My Life" crooner explained why he parted ways with the beloved boy band. "We went from theaters to arenas to stadiums — there was never any sort of bridge between. Just boom, boom, boom," he said at the time. "I guess that kind of progression to any mind — but especially when you're 17, 18 — it kind of affects you a little bit." Malik added, "People take it different ways — especially when there are five different personalities. The relationships had broken apart." The singer-songwriter ended up returning to music in 2016 when he released the hit single "Pillowtalk" from his debut solo album, Mind of Mine. His sophomore record, Icarus Falls, followed in 2018. In addition to his successful career, Malik has made headlines for his personal life, most notably his relationships with ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards and off-and-on girlfriend Gigi Hadid. After reconciling with the Victoria's Secret stunner in early 2020, the duo welcomed their first child together that September. "Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful," he wrote via Instagram alongside a pic of their little one grabbing onto his finger. "To try [to] put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together." Malik and Hadid are "loving parenthood and can't get enough of their little girl," a source told Us Weekly exclusively. "Things are going really swimmingly between them and they're both so happy." But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band,” Malik said in a statement on Facebook at the time. “I’d like to apologize to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. Zayn Malik 'Adamantly' Denies Yolanda's 'False Allegations' of Dispute Posted: 28 Oct 2021 02:04 PM PDT Speaking out. Zayn Malik continued to deny getting into a physical altercation with a family member as reports of an alleged incident with Yolanda Hadid made headlines. “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details,” the 28-year-old singer told TMZ on Thursday, October 28. “I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.” Malik previously addressed the rumors in a lengthy Twitter statement after TMZ reported that Gigi Hadid‘s mother, 57, claimed she was “struck” by the “Dusk Till Dawn” singer. “As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter [Khai] to grow up in,” the former One Direction member wrote on Thursday. “A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.” The X Factor UK alum argued that the situation “was and still should be a private matter” as he attempted to form “a peaceful family environment” for the 13-month-old, whom he shares with the 26-year-old model. “I am hopeful thought for healing and for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves,” he concluded in his social media post. Yolanda, for her part, has yet to publicly address the alleged incident, but her daughter’s rep responded in a statement to E! News on Thursday asking for “privacy.” Gigi was first linked to the musician in November 2015. The pair briefly split in June 2016 but rekindled their flame days later. “We try not to think about [dating in the spotlight] too much,” Malik told Us Weekly exclusively in September 2017. “There are a lot of people who are too busy in other people’s lives. I just concentrate on my relationship and try to do right by my girlfriend and she does by me, and we hope for the best, as we all do.” The duo called it quits twice more before Us broke the news in January 2020 that they were giving their relationship another try. Three months later, multiple sources confirmed that the California native was pregnant. Their daughter arrived in September 2020. “Our Khai is so lucky to have a baba who loves her so much and does anything to see her smile ! @zayn happy first Father’s Day,” Gigi gushed via Instagram in June. “I’m so grateful for all the lil bits of her that are you. We love you so much.” Three months prior, the “Like I Would” crooner praised Gigi’s “wicked” parenting skills. “It’s been really easy for me and Gigi to kind of just ease into it,” he told iHeart Radio’s Valentine in the Morning in March. “[Khai] kind of made it easy for us, she sleeps really well, she loves her milk. It’s just feeding and changing diapers at the moment.” Us reached out to Yolanda’s rep for comment. |
Teen Mom's Amber Portwood Denies Ex Andrew’s Claims She Used Drugs While Pregnant Posted: 28 Oct 2021 02:03 PM PDT As Amber Portwood and ex Andrew Glennon are engaged in an ongoing custody battle regarding their son James, Glennon is now alleging that the Teen Mom OG star used drugs during her 2018 pregnancy. Glennon, 37, claimed in a court filing that the MTV personality, 31, abused drugs throughout her pregnancy with their now 3-year-old son, even asking her to submit a hair follicle drug test after alleging she exhibited "paranoid" and erratic behavior, Us Weekly can confirm. Glennon's allegations, published via The Sun, further claimed that Portwood had a "history of substance abuse, even while pregnant with and subsequently caring for the minor child herein." The 16 & Pregnant alum has since denied her ex-partner's claims, filing an objection one day later, noting that she continues to undergo regular drug testing while she's on probation from her 2019 domestic battery case. “Mother denies adamantly the allegations made in Father’s Motion and believes that a hair follicle test is unnecessary due to her history of negative drug screens and continued requirement to submit to same,” Portwood's response said, according to the outlet. "Mother further states that Father’s Motion is nothing more than yet another attempt to paint Mother in a negative light." Nearly one year after welcoming James in May 2018, the exes called it quits in July 2019 amid her domestic battery arrest. Following her legal case, Portwood had a no-contact order with her son but eventually was granted supervised visits. Since then, the Never Too Late author and Glennon have been navigating coparenting. The Indiana native — who also shares daughter Leah, 12, with ex-fiancé Gary Shirley — exclusively told Us in March 2020 that she sees her son "fairly a lot." "I am trying to coparent the best way that I can," she said at the time. "I get a lot of people tell[ing] me after my days with him: 'I can tell that you saw James today because you just have that smile on your face.' When I hear that, I'm like, 'Yeah. It's just the truth.'" The reality TV star previously made headlines earlier this year when she revealed that she hasn't spoken to her daughter in "months," claiming Leah "started acting weird and turning on me." "I feel like I'm never going to win," she explained during a September episode of Teen Mom OG. "I wanted us to have a great coparenting family that I thought we had until it became weird. This is not [Leah]. She does not ignore me like this. Even if I take responsibility for every single wrongdoing I've ever done, it just feels like it's never enough." Months earlier, Portwood promised to "make things right" with her eldest child. "I know you are going through a lot and there are many things I need to do to make things right," she captioned an April Instagram post of the mother-daughter pair. "However, I will always love you, my beautiful daughter. Love you and Happy Easter." |
Jared Padalecki and Genevieve Cortese's Relationship Timeline Posted: 28 Oct 2021 01:48 PM PDT Supernatural gave Jared Padalecki a whole lot more than 15 years of steady work. The hit CW drama also introduced him to his wife, Genevieve Padalecki (neé Cortese). The actors met on the set of the series in 2008 and went on to welcome three children: son Thomas, son Shepherd and daughter Odette. Before the arrival of the couple's first child, Jared gushed to Us Weekly about caring for Genevieve. "I've been trying to do everything I can to be the classic father: When she needs ice cream, I go get ice cream. If she needs a foot massage, I do the foot massage," he explained in January 2012. "I've [been] doing everything I possibly can." He added: "Obviously I've been working, so I can't be there all the time when she needs me, but I make sure she has what she needs when she needs it and when I get home at night." Years later, Genevieve got real about making time for their marriage. "Jared and I have been together for 11 years and married for nine. Throw three kids in the mix and a career that takes him to Canada most the year, and keeping the romance alive can be hard," she wrote in an August 2019 blog post. "As boring as it sounds, we've found that the best way to reconnect is to schedule a date night (or day) as often as possible. Our goal is weekly, but that happens pretty much never. I'm happy if we can reconnect and do something fun together, just us, twice a month." Jared proved his affection for the actress only grows over time, paying tribute to her with a PDA-heavy Instagram post in January 2018. "To my sweet angel, my dh, and the love of my life (and the only person who's allowed to smush my nose into my face whenever they want) @nowandgen, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" he raved. "I'm so grateful to be sharing this world and this life with you. There is no me if there is no you." After more than a decade together, the couple made their first appearance as husband and wife on another CW series: Walker. The idea was pitched to Jared and Genevieve during their 10-year anniversary dinner by the show’s creator, Anne Fricke. Jared proposed the idea to his wife and she was onboard, albeit apprehensive. “I was concerned that people might actually think it was his idea or that they would have preconceived notions,” she told Us Weekly exclusively. Bringing Up Bates' Lawson Bates Is Engaged to Tiffany Espensen Posted: 28 Oct 2021 01:31 PM PDT ![]() Happily ever after! Bringing Up Bates‘ Lawson Bates and girlfriend Tiffany Espensen are engaged, Us Weekly confirms. Bates, 29, proposed to Espensen, 22, during a recent trip to Italy. The duo originally started dating in February and later collaborated on the reality star’s music video for his song “The Way I See You.” At the time, Bates reflected on how the meaning behind the music changed after he met his girlfriend. “When I first had the idea to write this song, my goal was to capture a genuine and heartfelt message of empowerment, hope, and validation to someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, overlooked, and under appreciated,” he wrote via Instagram in July. “I wanted to make sure I had a broad perspective on things in the writing session, so I reached out to two of my favorite co-writers @janellearthur & @thejordanrainer. After an incredible 3 hour session, it all started coming to life!” ![]() He noted that the song was even more sentimental with Espensen in his life. “Little did I know before this song released that the girl of my dreams would be in my life and I'd be singing it for her Ahead of the pair’s special milestone, Espensen opened up about getting to relearn the word “love” since meeting her now-fiancé. “My word for 2021 is "love." I picked this word before I ever met Lawson and I knew the moment I met him that's why God gave me that word,” she began in a lengthy post via Instagram earlier this month. “I wanted God to show me more of His love and He used Lawson in that very way. You make time for what's your priority. Time is the most valuable thing you have. What you choose to do with it shows what's important to you.” The actress reflected on the “sacrifice” and the patience that comes with being in a serious relationship. “Love assigns no motives. Love is giving. Love shows up even when your ‘feelings’ don't match,” she detailed. “Love is steadfast. It weathers through the storms and always stays. Love elevates others above yourself.” The couple recently celebrated more exciting news when they attended Lawson’s brother Nathan Bates‘ wedding to Esther Keyes on Saturday, October 23. “Getting married to my best friend was the happiest day of my life. Esther, I love you with all my heart and have been looking forward to this day for so long. It was so much more than I ever imagined. This was a fairytale magical day without words to describe the beauty and emotions,” Norman, 28, wrote via Instagram following the nuptials. “Esther, you are the most beautiful bride I've ever seen or heard of in my entire life. Barry Watson Recalls 7th Heaven's Jessica, Beverley Crushing on Him Posted: 28 Oct 2021 01:11 PM PDT Costar connection! Barry Watson knew that his 7th Heaven castmates Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell had big crushes on him when they worked together. "I think they were always, sort of, lingering around my trailer," the 47-year-old actor exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, October 28, while promoting Lifetime's Highway to Heaven. "I’d walk out and they [would] just, like, pretend [that] they weren’t really there." The Michigan native played big brother Matt Camden on the drama from 1996 to 2006, but the show continued through 2007. Biel, now 39, portrayed his sister Mary Camden, while Mitchell, now 40, played their middle sister Lucy Camden. The Camden siblings also included David Gallagher as Simon and Mackenzie Rosman as Ruthie. Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks portrayed their parents, Reverend Eric Camden and Annie Camden. Earlier this year, Biel admitted she once had a crush on Watson — something he didn't know. "I don’t think I thought about it at the time. I think years ago, you know, they had joked to me about it or whatever," Watson recalled. "And I’ve joked back, [saying], 'Well, I’m sure you still have a crush on me,' or something. But I think at the time I didn’t really think about that." The A Dog's Way Home actor was 21 when they shot the pilot, while all of his other TV siblings were much younger. He remembered "working all the time" on the show, so he didn't actively think "these kids must have a crush on me." However, looking back, he said, "I do remember them lingering around my trailer quite a bit." Biel previously spoke about her and Mitchell's infatuation with their older costar during a June episode of the "Armchair Expert" podcast, saying, "No one ever dated anybody." The Cruel Summer producer remembered Watson "dating, like, real-life women" when they first started acting together, nothing that she was only 14 when season 1 began. "There was no chance for us. It was not happening," Biel added. Mitchell, for her part, commented on her childhood crush on Watson in a 2016 entry on her Growing Up Hollywood blog. "I am pretty sure every teenage girl had a crush on Barry, I mean look at him. Jess and I did for a minute. I mean it really isn't fair that he had better hair," she wrote at the time. ![]() Watson told Us on Thursday that he was always "busy" working "crazy hours" on the show, so much so that he didn't have much time for anything else — including noticing his teenage costars' crushes or watching the hit series. In fact, as the only sibling over the age of 18, he remembered working until "2 o'clock in the morning" without any scene partners. That work ethic, however, has proven to be a good thing, as Watson is still acting. His most recent project, Highway to Heaven, premieres on Lifetime next month. "It’s a fun film and I think it’s something that’s needed right now," he told Us of the movie, which is inspired by the original Michael Landon series by the same name. "When this came my way, it was sort of a no-brainer for me to jump on board. And on top of that, Jill Scott is playing Angela, [who is] Michael Landon’s character from the original series in this reboot." He gushed over his “really great” 49-year-old costar, calling her a "dream" to work with. Highway to Heaven premieres on Lifetime Saturday, November 6, at 8 p.m. ET. Dorit Kemsley Robbery: Everything We Know Posted: 28 Oct 2021 12:56 PM PDT A terrifying situation. Dorit Kemsley's Encino, California, home was burglarized on Wednesday, October 27, Us Weekly can confirm. "A home invasion robbery happened at 10:50 pm last night and it happened at the 1700 block of Adlon Road," the Los Angeles Police Department told Us in a statement. "We don’t have specific details of the investigating detective or if a gun was used or not. We’re getting very vague information since it’s in its preliminary stages.” According to Daily Mail, which was first to report the news, the 45-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was sleeping when three men entered her bedroom with a gun. She reportedly pleaded with the robbers not to harm her two children — son, Jagger, 7, and her daughter, Phoenix, 5 — whom she shares with husband Paul "PK" Kemsley. The burglary went down just hours after Dorit was asked about her designer wardrobe during part three of the RHOBH reunion — during which she noted that she pays for "every single piece" in her closest rather than ask for freebies. "I'm really particular," she told Andy Cohen at the pre-taped special. "I want to wear what I want to wear, and it's just easier. I just think, 'I'll buy it.’ … I wanna wear what I wanna wear. I dress for myself, what I like." Dorit's hairstylist Justine Marjan recently gave Us insight into how intense she is about her fashions: "We always plan her looks based on her wardrobe. Dorit is incredible at sourcing beautiful designer pieces, and this season was all about the vintage pieces she found." Fellow diamond-holder Kyle Richards' home was robbed in 2018. The actress and husband Mauricio Umansky weren't home when more than $1 million in jewelry and handbags were stolen from her Encino mansion. "Everything was taken," Richards said at the time. "Everything my mother, who passed away, had ever collected and saved to give to me — that I had always envisioned of passing on to my four daughters — was gone. Even my children's baby bracelets. Obviously, those are the things that hurt the most, things that I can't replace. They're completely invaluable. The material things, yes they can be replaced, but they also hurt." She added: "I feel embarrassed to say that, but those are things that were either given to me by someone that I care about or that I worked really hard for. So it hurts no matter what." Zayn Malik Defends Himself Amid Reports He Struck Gigi Hadid's Mom Yolanda Posted: 28 Oct 2021 12:50 PM PDT Zayn Malik issued a statement about a “private” family situation after Gigi Hadid‘s mother, Yolanda Hadid, reportedly claimed that he got physical with her. “As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter [Khai] to grow up in,” the former One Direction member, 28, wrote in a note shared via Twitter on Thursday, October 28. “A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.” Malik continued, “This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to coparent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.” The U.K. native’s statement comes shortly after TMZ reported on Thursday that Yolanda, 57, wanted to file a police report following an alleged incident with Malik, who she claimed “struck” her. (Us Weekly has reached out to reps for comment.) Despite the drama, the “Pillowtalk” crooner noted that he was “hopeful” that there could be “healing for all involved with the hard words shared.” He concluded on Thursday, “More importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.” In a separate statement to TMZ, Malik noted, “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.” Malik and the model, 26, have been dating on and off since 2015. Us broke the news in January 2020 that the pair got back together one year after calling it quits for the second time. Three months after their reunion, multiple sources revealed that Gigi was pregnant with the duo’s first child. Khai arrived in September 2020, and a source told Us one month later that the first-time parents were “better than ever.” The twosome “never looked happier” and were improving on “their communication,” the insider said in October 2020. “Gigi is a natural when it comes to mothering,” the source said at the time, noting that Malik was becoming “a very, hands-on and great dad” and the duo were “closer than ever.” Earlier this year, the California native opened up about how the X Factor UK alum adjusted to her family’s dynamic, telling Harper’s Bazaar in July that he’s grown more “comfortable” with them over time. “At first he was like, ‘How do I get a word in edgewise?’ … [Now] he speaks his mind,” Gigi told the outlet. “When he’s in the middle of a family thing and everyone’s like, ‘Zayn, whose side are you on?'” One month prior, the “Dusk Till Dawn” singer was spotted getting into a heated argument outside of a New York City bar. TMZ posted a video in June of the musician, who was not wearing a shirt, and another man shouting profanities at each other on the sidewalk. Per the outlet, the other patron allegedly picked a fight with Malik at the time, but the confrontation reportedly never turned physical and police were not involved. |
Endgame! Julia Roberts and Danny Moder's Relationship Timeline Posted: 28 Oct 2021 12:15 PM PDT Still got it! Julia Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, have been together for more than 20 years but their relationship is stronger than ever. The pair met in early 2000 while the Oscar winner was filming The Mexican alongside Brad Pitt. Though they’re now one of longest-running couples in Hollywood, their romance began with a minor scandal. When they met, the Erin Brockovich star was dating Benjamin Bratt, while the cinematographer was married to Vera Steimberg. After Moder finalized his divorce from Steimberg in 2002, he wed Roberts in a July 2002 ceremony held at her ranch in New Mexico. Roberts later claimed that she wasn’t the cause of the couple’s split, but rumors about the situation dogged the actress for several years. “He sorted his whole thing out, separate and apart from me,” she said in December 2003. “And I sorted my life out, separate and apart from him. I think that’s the only reason we were able to ultimately fall in love with each other and be together.” Asked in the same interview if she was responsible for Moder’s divorce, she replied, “I’m an easy person to point the finger at — ‘she did it’ — and I see that. I don’t begrudge people the easy finger-point. It just doesn’t happen to be so.” Aside from how it started, the romance between Roberts and Moder was very different from her past relationships in that the cameraman was significantly less famous than his wife. She was briefly engaged to her Flatliners costar Kiefer Sutherland, but they broke up in 1991 just days before their scheduled wedding. In 1993, she married country singer Lyle Lovett, whom she met just three weeks before their wedding. They split in 1995. The Closer star was also previously linked to Dylan McDermott, Matthew Perry, Jason Patric and Liam Neeson. Roberts later implied that none of her relationships had shaken her quite like meeting Moder did. "I think that first kind of real … ‘seismic shift’ was meeting Danny,” she told Gwyneth Paltrow in 2018. “Getting married to Danny. That was the first, like, my life will never be the same in the most incredible, indescribable way.” The duo welcomed twins Phinnaeus and Hazel in November 2004. Their third child, son Henry, was born in June 2007. "The thing is, we have these three human beings who are just a complete reflection of the affection we have for each other,” she told InStyle in 2017. Trick-or-Treat! The Most Outrageous Celebrity Halloween Costumes of All Time Posted: 28 Oct 2021 12:15 PM PDT Trick-or-treat! The most outrageous celebrity Halloween costumes of all time are hard to beat — but that won't stop these stars from continuously pushing the envelope. Whether it's Kylie Jenner dressed up as "Dirrty"-era Christina Aguilera or Demi Lovato channeling It‘s kid-eating clown Pennywise, these are the looks that are hard to ignore. The craziest celeb costumes are often scary. Think: Tracee Ellis Ross dressing up as Lupita Nyong'o's character in the 2019 horror movie Us or Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Seth Green going as Chucky, everyone's favorite murder doll. However, they can also be sweet. Case in point: Beyoncé and Jay-Z slaying their Barbie and Ken ensemble. Some of the most eye-catching celeb looks are the punny ones. Dakota Johnson's suggestive 2015 costume combined Steve Jobs' famous black turtleneck with a hairdryer — and we'll let you figure out the rest. Meanwhile, there are those Hollywood bigwigs who choose to dress up as other famous people. Chrissy Teigen once became Guy Fieri for a day — right down to the Flavortown founder’s bleached blonde spikes. Meanwhile, Kevin Hart hit another level with his 2019 homage to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his legendary fanny pack. Of course, it's Heidi Klum who always understands the assignment. At her yearly bash, which has a strict "no costume, no entry policy," the model consistently offers up fascinating fits that have ranged from grannies to apes to aliens. "What I love the most [about Halloween] is for people to be able to escape and to transform into someone else," the Project Runway alum told Vogue in 2020. "With makeup and a costume, you can be anyone and anything. That allows most people to be loose and have more fun." Not to be outdone is Katy Perry, whose past getups include a Flamin' Hot Cheeto, a mic drop and Hillary Clinton. Her unwavering commitment to the holiday has made her one to watch every October 31st — and that's by design. “For Halloween, I definitely have a very topical costume,” the "Teenage Dream" singer said in October 2021. “I like to hit the summary of the year on the head, and it's very goofy as I go … I always tend to lean weird.” Keep scrolling to check out the most outrageous celebrity Halloween costumes of all time: ![]() The Austin Powers actor and his wife, Clare Grant, went as Chucky and his bride in 2021. Shanna Moakler’s Dating History: From Dennis Quaid to Travis Barker Posted: 28 Oct 2021 11:59 AM PDT Lucky in love? Shanna Moakler has sparked romance rumors with several men over the years, and she has preferred to be honest when it comes to her love life. Moakler was linked to Billy Idol in 1997 and years later, she looked back on their relationship fondly. “He’s not too sweet and sensitive. But he’s a gentleman. He’s got a great mind for history, loves to talk about philosophy, and he is very intelligent. He’s got a kid and is a great father,” she reflected during an interview with ESPN in 2001 about the musician. Following her split from the rocker, the former reality TV star sparked romance rumors with Oscar De La Hoya in October 1997 and they got engaged one year later. The twosome welcomed daughter Atiana in March 1999, but they called it quits the following year. In December 2020, Moakler sued De La Hoya for $62.5 million, and the case was settled out of court. Since then, the exes have gotten to a better place as they continue to coparent their child together. “He and I are super close,” Moakler told Entertainment Tonight in March 2021. “We’re really good friends, and I just think he’s great.” The model moved on with Dennis Quaid for eight months in 2001 before she met her future husband, Travis Barker. Moakler and Barker tied the knot in October 2004. They welcomed their son, Landon, in October 2003 and their daughter, Alabama, in December 2005. The family was featured in their own reality show, Meet the Barkers, from 2005 to 2006 before the pair split up following two years of marriage. Barker claimed that their time on TV caused a shift for Moakler. "I felt like having the reality show changed Shanna's character. Shanna wanted to be an actress, and I felt she started doing things just for the cameras — for attention, or maybe it was just her dramatic personality," the Blink-182 musician recalled in his 2015 book, Can I Say. "It was turning into a variety show instead of a reality show — and in my mind, she was behaving out of character on camera, which was carrying over to her not being genuine with me." The estranged spouses continued to have an on-and-off relationship until they officially got divorced in 2008. Years later, their custody battle turned messy until a court sealed the results of their child custody order in 2018. Moakler went on to find love with Matthew Rondeau in 2020 while Barker started dating Kourtney Kardashian. Although the former Miss USA supported her ex-husband’s romance at first, she later claimed he was recycling from their past marriage and was worried about her bond with her kids as a result. “The Kardashians are buying my kids Prada every other day,” Moakler told Us Weekly exclusively in May 2021. “They’re going on lavish trips. They’re doing all these things, which is fine. I think it’s nice that they’re being kind to my kids. I want that for my children.” The former Playboy playmate noted that she felt a “severe distancing” when it came to her relationship with her children. “I don’t think it’s great when they put a wedge in between their biological mother,” she told Us. Moakler explained that her issue with Barker’s relationship had nothing to do with their history because she was happy with Rondeau at the time. “I’m with my boyfriend, Matthew. I’m super happy. We’re in such a great place and the things that I create with him, I’m not recycling from my past relationship,” she added at the time. Two months later, Rondeau confirmed that they had broken up after fans noticed that the pair wiped each other from their respective social media pages. “I broke up with Shanna months ago,” he told Entertainment Tonight in July 2021. “It is disappointing things couldn’t work out between us two, but sometimes love isn’t enough… making that decision to have us move on and go our separate ways was not easy, but I know it was the right decision. And overall, beneficial for the both of us.” Although Moakler didn’t comment on the split at the time, she did hint at how she was doing on social media. “Women don’t even trip after breakups anymore. They just boss up, change that hair style, and forget you ever existed,” read a quote that Moakler posted via her Instagram Story one day after the news broke. Us confirmed that the pair rekindled their romance in October 2021, days after Moakler shared a sweet photo booth collage with Rondeau via Instagram Story. “It’s certainly a relationship that can lead to an engagement in the near future," a source exclusively told Us at the time. "They have great chemistry and enjoy doing a lot of the same things like laying by the pool or working out together. He’ll go out of his way to travel across the country to be there for her and her family and she’ll drop whatever she has scheduled to be by his side in dire situations." Scroll down to explore Moakler’s dating history through the years. ![]() Moakler and Idol were linked in 1997, with her later sharing that she was "a fan of accents." "He's so sexy. Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() Moakler and De La Hoya's relationship ended after three years of dating when the boxer showed up with another date to the Latin Grammy Awards in September 2000. "I'm sitting in bed, watching the Latin Grammy awards, feeling hurt that he went without me. Then, I see him there with another woman," she claimed to ESPN. "I was devastated. I had no idea there were any real problems in the relationship until that point." Rich Fury/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() The duo reportedly dated from February 2001 to October 2001, but they kept their romance quiet at the time. AFF-USA/Shutterstock ![]() The exes, who were married from 2004 to 2008, had their ups and downs as they tried to focus on coparenting for their children. Unfortunately, things took a turn when Barker started dating Kardashian and Moakler chose to make drastic changes. "Shanna is scoping out auction houses to auction off sentimental things that Travis has gotten her when they were together," a source exclusively told Us in July. "She wants to sell her engagement ring." The insider noted at the time that their coparenting relationship had "hit rock bottom." "She wants to get rid of everything that reminds her of him and reminds her of the happier times," the source added. Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() Moakler was quietly linked to the biker from 2014 to 2019. Courtesy of Shanna Moakler ![]() Moakler was on and off with the Rondeau from 2020 to 2021, but her kids were not thrilled with the relationship. "Matthew is nothing but awful to her. Not only that, but he cheats on her," Alabama claimed in an Instagram Story in May. Several months later, the model confirmed that he and the actress ended things. "I broke up with Shanna months ago, and I'm happier than I have ever been," he told Life & Style in July. "I'm focusing truly on finding myself again as a person emotionally and mentally." Rondeau added, "I hope she finds what she's looking for, but it's not going to be me." Us Weekly confirmed in October 2021 that the pair got back together. “Shanna and Matthew have always been off and on, but they’re in a really great place now,” a source exclusively told Us. “He has been her confidant during this rough time in her life and they’ve been having a lot of fun together. They seem to be very happy together and Shanna’s friends are thrilled she has love in her life.” Courtesy of Matthew Rondeau/Instagram |
Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 28 Oct 2021 11:55 AM PDT After competing for Brad Womack's heart on season 15 of The Bachelor, Ashley Hebert was named the seventh Bachelorette. J.P. Rosenbaum, who was one of the 25 contestants trying to woo her, went on two one-on-one dates and several group dates before traveling to Roslyn, New York, for a hometown date. During the final rose ceremony, Hebert had to choose between Rosenbaum and Ben Flajnik. In the end, the pediatric dentist accepted a proposal from the real estate entrepreneur. "The hardest thing out of all of this has been not knowing. I'm an open book. All my cards are on the table. I know I told you my biggest fear was falling in love with you and having my heart broken again," Rosenbaum said before getting down on one knee during the 2011 finale. "I know I have to take a leap of faith. All the time that we spent together, it's been the happiest time of my life. You always say to me, 'If I smile all the time, I'm going to have wrinkles.' All I know is that I'm madly in love with you. I love everything about you." Less than two years later, the twosome wed in front of ABC cameras. Hebert and Rosenbaum completed their family with a son, Ford, and daughter, Essie. "It's honestly so hard," Hebert told Us Weekly about parenthood in February 2018. "When I first had my son I was that mom, [I thought] 'I have to breastfeed, no formula, he has to be stimulated' … his doctor said to me, 'Ashley, give in a little, you're trying to kill yourself and in the end your kids are going to see that stress on you.' It's the best thing I've heard parenting advice-wise. Just give a little, let yourself be human, let yourself have hard days and good days, let yourself be." In 2019, the couple came together to fight Rosenbaum's battle with Guillain-Barré syndrome. "Cherish all that you have every, single day," Hebert wrote in December 2019 via Instagram. "Thank you to everyone for prayers, helping with the kids and offering all your love and support. We are blessed to have amazing family and friends. Love you all and grateful to have so much good in our lives." In October 2020, the couple announced they were splitting after nearly eight years of marriage. Wiping your ass, maybe TMI, but might have Ashley assist on the next one. Our differences have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we’ve decided that it is in our family’s best interest to create new and separate lives for our children. Please respect our privacy as we move forward with the newness of our lives. Our ultimate focus is to create stable and healthy lives for our children. Thank you for your love and support throughout the years. While I realize that this will come as a complete shock to everyone, I can assure you that this is something that has been developing in our relationship for quite a while. It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that after months of separation, Ashley and I have amicably decided to live our lives apart from one another. Please please please know that there is no one to blame, that there’s no event that triggered this decision, that no one is the victim, and that we’ve done absolutely everything we possibly can to try to salvage this marriage. I think we’ve both come to realize that we are just two very different people, with very different personalities and perspectives, who just don’t see eye to eye on a lot life fundamentals, those which are the building blocks for a happy and healthy marriage.” Gustavo Caballero/South Beach Photo/Shutterstock ![]() Following the split, the former couple have stayed amicable, often praising each other’s parenting skills. BiP’s Becca Kufrin Loves ‘This Life’ With BF Thomas Jacobs Posted: 28 Oct 2021 11:49 AM PDT Third time’s a charm! Becca Kufrin found love with Thomas Jacobs after deciding to give romance on reality TV another shot. The former Bachelorette, who was previously engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Garrett Yrigoyen, returned to Bachelor Nation during season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered in August 2021. Despite being a little gun shy at the thought of falling in love on a reality show following two failed engagements, Kufrin arrived on the beach five days into filming. While it wasn't love at first sight, she eventually fell for Jacobs, who fans met during season 17 of The Bachelorette earlier that year. "We talked for maybe five minutes and at the end of the conversation he said something along the lines of … he called me a declined credit card," the Bourdon founder recalled during an October 2021 appearance on the "Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation" podcast of meeting Jacobs for the first time. "He was, like, trying to flirt and be kind of smooth and funny and it just came out wrong." The pair were able to overcome their awkward first encounter and form a strong relationship while filming in Mexico. After a brief breakup during the show's finale, the two made up off camera and started dating outside of the spotlight. "We came back [home] and had to explore that on our own away from the cameras but in that moment [on the beach during the finale], I think that was game-changing for me," Kufrin explained. "Because I have really never had somebody fight, I would say, like, tooth and nail to want to keep a relationship with me." The "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast cohost later revealed that she called her mom shortly after connecting with the California native and told her how hard she fell for Jacobs. "I was like, 'Mom, I think I want to marry this guy,'" she told listeners during her joint podcast interview in October 2021. "It's the first time I've ever actually said that out loud." Jacobs, for his part, said he has asked Kufrin in "multiple text messages" about the type of ring she would want when he proposes. "It's something we’ve talked about," he said at the time. "I mean, I don’t want to spend my life with anybody else." The lovebirds didn't give an exact date as to when they rekindled their romance after leaving Mexico, but both stars confirmed they were back on after the show's October 2021 finale aired. "I feel safe with you. As if nothing could ever go terribly wrong," the real estate broker wrote via Instagram. "Thank you for being someone who I can put my trust in, someone who would never hurt me, someone who would never push 'us' away." During the season finale, Luyendyk Jr. proposed to the former public relations specialist, but later called off the engagement and moved on with runner-up Lauren Burnham. The race car driver married Burnham in 2019 and they have since welcomed daughter Alessi and twins Senna and Lux. Kufrin, for her part, became the Bachelorette on season 14, which premiered in May 2018. She got engaged to Yrigoyen during the finale but confirmed in September 2020 that they split. He was painted as a villain by the men in the house and cut by Katie Thurston for allegedly being there for “the wrong reasons.” Kufrin, however, didn’t know much about the San Diego, California, resident before meeting him on Bachelor in Paradise. “I had only seen, I think, the first two episodes of Katie’s season — it was before things got really bad for him,” she explained during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “It was kind of like this weird mind [f—k] if you will because I was getting to know him for him on that beach and seeing how he interacted with everyone and seeing how everyone got along really well. And then when I would watch the show, I’d be like, ‘This isn't what I'm seeing, what's going on here?’ It was really, it was, like, this weird warp in my mind.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The former college athlete popped up during the second episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, which premiered in August 2021, but filmed earlier in the summer. Kufrin made her Paradise debut one week later. Although Jacobs initially pursued Tammy Ly, sparks quickly flew between him and the Minnesota native. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Despite having serious chemistry during BiP, Kufrin broke up with her love during the show’s finale, which aired in October. At the time, Kufrin told Jacobs that she had doubts about his sincerity. “I feel like you’re so good at being supportive and positive and surprising me in all of the best ways, but I feel like sometimes it’s too good to be true and that scares me,” she said. “I’ve been here twice now before, and I couldn’t leave here and feel OK about leaving with somebody that I don’t 100 percent fully know.” Jacobs tried to reassure her that he was all in, saying, “Everything inside of me screams that I’m falling in love with you,” to which Kufrin replied, “But I haven’t seen any of that.” After showing their breakup on TV, ABC announced that the twosome had since gotten back together. “They are happy and in love,” the title card read at the end of the episode. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “We chatted until, like, three or four in the morning some nights and just talked about any and everything,” Kufrin said during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast of the couple’s off-camera reunion. “The second I saw him — because I flew back to L.A. and then drove down to San Diego — I think right away he picked me up and kissed me and then we just had unlimited time to explore what this could be.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “You know what they say … Third time’s a charm,” the B the Label designer captioned a video montage of her sweetest moments with Jacobs, confirming they are still dating after briefly calling it quits on the BiP finale. “I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy. Thanks for making my heart smile far more than it ever has. Now time to start this real life @thomasajacobs.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “Should I start following him on the gram yet or what?” Kufrin captioned a series of photos with her boyfriend at Blended Festival in San Diego, California, which they attended with fellow Bachelor Nation stars, including Blake Horstmann, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour. Jeremiah Duggar Feels ‘So Blessed’ to Be Dating GF Hannah Wissmann Posted: 28 Oct 2021 11:43 AM PDT Love is in the air! The Duggar family has been captivating viewers with their unique courtship process since 2008 — and have kept the tradition going strong ever since. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar share 19 children: sons Joshua, John-David, Joseph, Josiah, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, Justin and Jackson, and daughters Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joy-Anna, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie. The family’s first reality series, 19 Kids and Counting, quickly became one of the most popular shows on TLC from 2008 to 2015. They later returned for a spin off, Counting On, which ran for 11 seasons before the network canceled it in June 2021. The show's end came two months after Josh was arrested on child pornography charges. Over the years, fans have watched many of the Duggar children explore their own relationships in hopes of scoring a love as strong as their parents’. Due to their conservative Christian background, the family enforces a number of strict rules when it comes to courting, or “dating with a purpose.” “Courtship is really waiting for the one God has for you and praying through the whole process,” Jim Bob explained during a 2014 Today interview. Michelle agreed, adding, “It’s really examining the person and considering, ‘Would this be the guy I want to be the father of my kids?'” Kissing, hand-holding and other physical markers of affection aren’t allowed until a couple’s wedding day. Early in the courtship process, partners must have a chaperone present on their dates. For many of the Duggar daughters, their brothers have been by their sides when getting to know their suitors. “Having that accountability really keeps things from going in the wrong direction,” the father of 19 told Today. The patriarch has also warned his children to be mindful of their text messages while courting, as he and Michelle are both looped into all of their chats. Having Jim Bob and Michelle as an example of a happy marriage has given the Duggar’s high standards when it comes to their love lives — and their parents don’t mind. “There is no failed courtship,” Michelle explained in 2014. “A parent that loves and cares for their children, they want the best relationship for their child. It’s fun to be involved in the whole process in choosing it.” Scroll down to learn more about the Duggar family’s courtship beginnings! ![]() The longtime couple met in the '80s when a mutual friend invited Michelle to her future husband's church. Bachelorette's Ashley, J.P. Rosenbaum Finalize Divorce 1 Year After Split Posted: 28 Oct 2021 11:35 AM PDT ![]() Officially over. Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum have finalized their divorce after announcing their split last year, Us Weekly exclusively confirms. A final judgment for the former Bachelorette, 36, and the New York native, 44, was entered on October 7, meaning their divorce case was closed. The settlement agreement is confidential and was not filed with the court. Hebert and the construction manager got engaged during season 7 of The Bachelorette in 2011. They tied the knot the following December, with their wedding ceremony airing in a TV special. The now-exes went on to welcome son Fordham, 7, and daughter Essex, 4. The pair “amicably decided to go our separate ways” after nearly eight years of marriage, they revealed via their respective Instagram accounts in October 2020. “We created the most beautiful children and shared memories that will never be forgotten. Our differences have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we've decided that it is in our family's best interest to create new and separate lives for our children,” Hebert wrote at the time, noting that their “ultimate focus is to create stable and healthy lives for our children.” Rosenbaum, for his part, told his social media followers that the split was a long time coming, writing, “While I realize that this will come as a complete shock to everyone, I can assure you that this is something that has been developing in our relationship for quite a while. … I think we’ve both come to realize that we are just two very different people, with very different personalities and perspectives, who just don’t see eye to eye on a lot life fundamentals, those which are the building blocks for a happy and healthy marriage.” At the time, the former reality TV personality asserted that both he and Hebert wanted “to maintain stable and healthy lives for Fordy & Essie” and coparent “to the best of our ability.” As they continued to work through their split, the twosome reunited several times, causing some fans to wonder whether a reconciliation was on the horizon. However, in December 2020, the pair closed on their former family home in Florida. Us broke the news the following August that Rosenbaum officially filed for divorce one month prior. ![]() After submitting the paperwork to end his marriage, he confessed that he was feeling uncertain about the future in a candid Instagram Story upload. “It’s 100% Perfectly ok to NOT have all the answers, to NOT know what the future holds, to be afraid, to have anxiety, to feel uneasy about anything and everything,” he wrote in August, encouraging fans to “embrace the unknown” and “live your life.” Rosenbaum previously noted in February that he felt “ready” to get back into the dating world amid his split — but told E! News at the time that he was “terrified” of putting himself out there as a single parent. Hebert, for her part, recently revealed that she’s in a relationship. During an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday, October 27, the Maine native noted that she was in “no rush” for her new boyfriend to meet her ex-husband. When asked whether she would consider walking down the aisle again, she replied, “Marriage complicates things. [I’d] rather just love someone and choose to be with them.” With reporting by Diana Cooper |
