Celebrity Weddings of 2021: See Which Stars Tied the Knot

Posted: 23 Oct 2021 08:00 PM PDT

Even a pandemic can't stop wedding bells from ringing. As the world slowly began to open back up in 2021 following the COVID-19 crisis, stars were eager to exchange vows.

First came Alexander Ludwig and Lauren Dear, who announced they'd eloped in Utah following a one-month engagement on January 4. Next up, Jennifer Wayne and Austin Moody wed on January 9 after a two-week engagement.

"I'm still in complete shock but I'm humbled and honored to introduce you to Mrs. Moody," the bluegrass musician wrote via Instagram at the time. "Now more than ever, I am able to truly admire and appreciate everything she is. I've never met anyone so kind and generous to people she knows as well as complete strangers. Without even knowing it, she teaches me how to be a better person every day that I am with her. I can't believe I got to marry my best friend … Jennifer, now I stand before the world a brand new man because of the love you've shown me. From this moment on you will never walk alone."

Another 2021 trend? Secret weddings! Aubrey Plaza subtly revealed on May 7 that she and her longtime beau, Jeff Baena, tied the knot by referring to him as her "darling husband" in an Instagram post.

"Whoa!!!! Just took in the word husband and I am sending you both love and congratulations and blessings!!!!!❤❤❤," Mary Steenburgen wrote in a comment. "UM HUSBAND HOLD ON THERE," a fan added.

Just over a week later, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez got married in a secret ceremony.

"It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people," Grande's rep told Us Weekly on May 17. "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

Us confirmed the pair's engagement five months earlier.

"Ariana is beyond excited. She has really enjoyed getting to know and falling in love with Dalton out of the spotlight, something she didn't get to do in her past relationships," an insider said in December 2020. "They are so in love and committed to spend the rest of their lives together."

Other 2021 newlyweds included two Duggar brothersJustin Duggar and Jed Duggar — who married Claire Spivey and Katey Nakatsu, respectively.

"We are overjoyed about adding another daughter-in-love to our family," Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar wrote via Instagram to celebrate one of their son's weddings. "Jed and Katey have enjoyed a quiet, low-key relationship that has allowed them to prepare for a beautiful life together. Congrats to this wonderful couple on their wedding day! We are excited to see how their story continues to unfold in the future."

Jesse McCartney Marries Katie Peterson After 9 Years Together

Posted: 23 Oct 2021 07:54 PM PDT

He found the beautiful soul he wanted all along. Jesse McCartney and Katie Peterson got married on Saturday, October 23, Us Weekly confirms.

Celebrity Weddings of 2021: See Which Stars Tied the Knot Read article

The duo's friends and family chronicled their wedding day on social media. McCartney and Peterson, both 34, married in an outdoor wedding ceremony at Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California. The reception featured a salad course followed by a choice of pan seared alaskan halibut or slow roasted prime filet mignon. Of course, cake was had for dessert.

Their big day comes two years after McCartney proposed. The "Kiss the World Goodbye" singer popped the question at Cut by Wolfgang Puck at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The duo were eating dinner with friends, and Puck started making the rounds in the dining room. When McCartney got down on one knee, the whole room went silent, an onlooker told Us exclusively at the time. The restaurant burst into applause after they got engaged.

In August, McCartney revealed exclusively to Us that he was planning to sing at the wedding, but he wouldn't belt out his biggest hit.

"I think I'm going to get up and play. I don't know what, but it will not be 'Beautiful Soul.' It will probably be something that I've written or something that I've yet to write," he said at the time. "I'm going to get up and probably play with some of my band. A lot of the guys from my band are coming to the wedding, so it'll be nice. We can get up there and interrupt the wedding band for a couple songs. If we haven't had too much wine at that point."

He explained that there's a time and place for the 2005 single, adding, "I love playing 'Beautiful Soul' for the fans and on tour, but it might be a little cheesy at my wedding."

The Summerland alum said that he let Peterson take charge of wedding planning, but he helped wherever she asked for his input. He was specifically in charge of music for the event, which had about 150 guests.

"I know what my lane is. I'm not going to be in there saying, 'Hey, you should do this lace with this veil,'" he told Us. "She put me in charge of putting together the band, which was nice … Whatever she wants, that's just the attitude to have."

Peterson and McCartney met at a bar in 2012 when the singer went to meet a friend and the actress was waiting for them to finish so she could close the restaurant. After waiting nine years between meeting and marriage, don't expect the duo to rush into having parenthood.

"We haven't really talked too much about it," the former Dream Street member told Us about having kids with Peterson. "It's certainly an option for us. I think that we both have pretty demanding responsibilities and careers and definitely want to still do things that would require all of our attention. But, I mean, I think it's certainly something that we've talked about and we'll continue to talk about it. It's just a matter of timing, I think, and figuring out when it's right to take that path."

An unknown future. John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are expecting their first child together amid a whirlwind romance, but an insider tells Us Weekly that their relationship faces much "uncertainty."

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney's Relationship Timeline Read article

Mulaney, 39, announced the Newsroom alum's pregnancy in September on Late Night With Seth Meyers, and insiders say that the two could be great coparents — but that might be the extent of their future together.

"This has been an imperfect relationship from the start," the source exclusively tells Us.

The whirlwind relationship has 41-year-old Munn's inner circle concerned that this romance might be over as fast as it started. "Even though Olivia's going to be a wonderful mother and has great support behind her, Olivia's friends just don't see these two being a couple in a year's time," the source notes.

Their loved ones believe the new couple will absolutely "make great parents" to their little bundle of joy, but "nobody knows yet if they're going to do that together or apart."

Even Munn and Mulaney are unsure. Us confirmed their romance in May, and the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse actor announced that he and Munn were having a baby in September. The romance has been going so fast that they haven't had to time to map out their lives together.

"Olivia and John still have to decide what kind of future they're going to have together, if any," the insider explains. "It's a time of uncertainty, for both of them."

The parents-to-be "are a long way from deciding and locking in what their relationship is going to be going forward."

Us confirmed Mulaney and Munn were dating three days after the Kid Gorgeous star's reps announced that he was divorcing Anna Marie Tendler, his wife of six years.

"I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage," the artist, 35, said a statement at the time. "I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery."

The comedian officially filed divorce papers in New York in late July. The following September, Mulaney confirmed the X-Men: Apocalypse star's pregnancy.

"I packed a lot into this [year]," he told Seth Meyers. "I went to rehab in September, I got out in October, I moved out of my home from my ex-wife [Tendler]. Then in the spring I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia. … And we're having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news! Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself in this early journey out of recovery."

Mulaney checked himself into a 60-day rehab program in December 2020 as he sought treatment for alcohol and cocaine addictions. The star had been sober since 2005 when he fell off the wagon amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Happy 18th birthday to our gorgeous, smart, talented, and caring son," Ryan, 47, shared via Instagram on Saturday, October 23, alongside photos of him and Witherspoon, 45, with their son in front of his birthday cake. "You are a true light in this world and are so loved by all who know you. We are lucky to be your mom and dad. Love you, pup."

The proud dad added, "I'd say we did pretty good @reesewitherspoon."

The Cruel Intentions costars met in 1997 and were married two years later. However, they divorced in 2006 after seven years of marriage when daughter Ava Phillippe was 7 years old and Deacon was 3. The two have coparented their children since their split.

Witherspoon commented on her ex-husband's post, "So proud of our boy … I mean our ADULT Son! 😮❤."

Deacon, for his part, didn't seem to mind the emotional tribute. "Thanks dad!! I love you," he wrote.

She recalled how much her son has changed over the years. "One day he was trading Pokémon cards, singing Bruno Mars songs, and playing American Ninja Warrior in the backyard," she added. "The next day, he is taller than me, cooking the family steaks on the grill and making his own music with his best friends. My heart is bursting with pride about the young man he is becoming. Happy 18th Birthday Deacon! I love you to the moon around the sun and all the stars."

Though Witherspoon and Ryan's marriage didn't work out, the two are proud of what they've made together. In addition to their two kids, they also made Cruel Intentions together, and the father of three (he shares daughter Kai, 10, with Alexis Knapp) revealed that he is happy to be reminded of the iconic film he made with his ex.

"[The Verve's 'Bittersweet Symphony'] makes me smile almost every time. No matter where I am," the Lady of the Manor actor exclusively told Us Weekly in September.

"And there's been a couple of times in my life where I've been, like, at a gas station or whatever. And I'll suddenly hear the song from across the way. And then there'll be a group of people waving to me. Like, they put the song on a purpose because they saw me there," he continued. "But to have to be associated with a song, there could be way worse songs to be associated with. You know, it's a really great song still. And so, when I hear those strings start up, it does, it still makes me happy. So it makes me smile."

"We have been so anxiously awaiting the day that we would become 'Mr. and Mrs.' for the rest of our lives, and it is finally a reality!" Bates, 28, and Keyes, 23, said in a joint statement via Fox News. "Today was a dream come true! The ceremony, which included about 350 guests, was officiated by Pastor Dean Miller. The groom reportedly skydived with his groomsmen to make his grand entrance at the altar while the bride arrived by horse-drawn carriage.

The couple, who went Instagram official in December 2020, revealed four months later that they were ready to take their relationship to the next level.

That same month, Keyes and Bates exclusively told Us about the romantic proposal.

Alec Baldwin Was Told Gun Was ‘Cold’ Before Fatal Shooting

Posted: 23 Oct 2021 02:40 PM PDT

While filming his movie Rust on Thursday, October 21, Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun that injured the director and killed another crew member.

The incident occurred at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department, the weapon was "discharged" by the 30 Rock alum, 63, and Deadline later reported that production on the Western was paused.

"Mr. Baldwin came in voluntarily to speak with investigators," sheriff's office spokesman Juan Ríos noted in a statement, asserting that the situation would be treated like "any other investigation."

Detectives were trying to determine "what type of projectile was discharged" as the set remained on lockdown. The victims — director Joel Souza and director of photography Halyna Hutchins — were rushed to receive medical attention after being struck. Hutchins, 42, was pronounced dead at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.

The 48-year-old filmmaker, for his part, was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center via helicopter. While his condition was initially unknown, Deadline was told by Souza's rep that he was released from the hospital on Friday, October 22.

The movie's production company, Rust Movie Productions LLC, noted in a statement regarding the accident, "The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today's tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna's family and loved ones. We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department's investigation. We will be providing counseling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event."

Hutchins was originally from the Ukraine and had been sharing updates about the filming process with her Instagram followers ahead of her death. "One of the perks of shooting a western is you get to ride horses on your day off:)," she captioned a video of herself on Wednesday, October 20, as she joined a group on horseback.

The Emmy winner broke his silence on Hutchins' death on Friday via Twitter, writing, "There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I'm fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna."

Before Baldwin addressed the incident, tributes poured in for the late cinematographer.

"I'm in shock. I was so lucky to have had Halyna Hutchins as my DP on 'Archenemy,'" Joe Manganiello tweeted. "An incredible talent & great person. I can't believe this could happen in this day and age… gunfire from a prop gun could kill a crew member? What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to her family."

Ava DuVernay left a comment on casting director Sidra Smith's Instagram post about Hutchins, writing, "Devastating. Absolutely horrific. Blessings to you during this difficult time, Sidra. And may her soul be at rest."

Who Is Halyna Hutchins?

Hutchins was working as director of photography on Rust and was named one of American Cinematography's "rising stars" in the profession in 2019. She previously contributed to 2019's Darlin' and 2020's Blindfire, as well as AMC's The Walking Dead. She was pronounced dead on Thursday at University of New Mexico Hospital.

Who Is Joel Souza?

Souza is a California-based writer and director whose previous credits include 2015's Ghost Squad, 2017's Break Night and 2019's Crown Vic. According to Deadline, he was released from the hospital early Friday morning after sustaining injuries on set.

Were There Charges?

As of Thursday, the Santa Fe County Sheriff's office was in the midst of an "open and active" investigation, but no arrests were made. Baldwin was questioned by investigators — as were other members of the crew — but no charges were filed.

How Did Two People Get Shot?

Only one round was discharged, and it grazed Souza but hit Hutchins in her shoulder, per The Los Angeles Times.

Why Was the Gun Loaded?

That is the question investigators are still trying to answer. The assistant director called out "cold gun" when handing Baldwin the weapon, the AD wrote in an affidavit, according to the New York Times. "Cold" means no ammunition is in the gun. The crew member "did not know live rounds were in the prop gun," Detective Joel Cano declared in an affidavit.

Why Did Crew Members Walk Off Set Earlier That Day?

The LA Times reports that several crew members walked off set to protest working conditions hours ahead of the fatal accident. They accused the production of not properly following safety protocols, including gun inspections. The workers claimed that there were two accidental gun discharges on set before, with Baldwin's stunt double allegedly firing a gun that was announced as "cold" only to find a live round in it.

"There should have been an investigation into what happened," a crew member alleged to the LA Times. "There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn't happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush."

How Are Other Sets Reacting?

Many film and TV sets are taking action and vowing not to risk having "hot" or "live" — meaning loaded — weapons on set. ABC's police drama The Rookie has officially banned live rounds. "As of today, it is now policy on The Rookie that all gunfire on set will be with Air Soft guns with CG muzzle flashes added in post," showrunner Alexi Hawley wrote in a memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, October 22. "There will be no more 'live' weapons on the show. The safety of our cast and crew is too important."

Amazon Prime's The Boys, which is known for its violent action sequences, will also forgo live rounds. Showrunner Eric Kripke, who worked with Rust cast member Jensen Ackles on Supernatural and The Boys, announced the news on Friday via Twitter. "In [Hutchins'] memory, a simple, easy pledge: no more guns with blanks on any of my sets ever. We'll use VFX muzzle flashes. Who's with me?" he wrote.

Eric McCandless/ABC/Kobal/Shutterstock
Has It Happened Before?

This is not the first time a prop gun has led to fatalities on a film set. In 1993, the late Brandon Lee was killed during filming for The Crow after an improperly loaded prop gun was fired. His sister, Shannon Lee, reacted to the Rust incident on Thursday.

"Our hearts go out to the family of Halyna Hutchins and to Joel Souza and all involved in the incident on 'Rust,'" she tweeted via a memorial account set up for her brother. "No one should ever be killed by a gun on a film set. Period."

Days earlier, the former SUR employee and the film producer sparked breakup rumors after the Bravo personality removed all traces of her fiancé — with whom she got engaged to in 2018 — from her Instagram, and "liked" photos that speculated about infidelity on his part.

Though the couple — who share 7-month-old daughter Ocean — have yet to address the rumors, the Bravo star seemingly deleted or archived her Instagram photos with Emmett by Sunday, October 17. Two days later, the Utah native was spotted in Los Angeles. At the time, she dressed casually in ripped jeans, graphic sweatshirt and black baseball cap, as eagle-eyed fans noticed her left ring finger was bare, noting that she was not wearing her engagement ring from the director.

Joe Giudice Wishes Ex Teresa ‘All The Best’ After Engagement News

Posted: 23 Oct 2021 02:10 PM PDT

From cheating allegations to deportation orders, Teresa and Joe Giudice have gone through a lot of ups and downs throughout their 20-year marriage.

The reality stars tied the knot in October 1999 and went on to welcome daughters Gia in January 2001, Gabriella in October 2004, Milania in February 2006 and Audriana in September 2009.

The couple stepped into the public eye in May 2009 when The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered on Bravo.

After renewing their vows in September 2011, Teresa and Joe hit a rough patch, pleading guilty to 41 counts of fraud in March 2014. She served 11 months in federal prison in 2015, while he spent 41 months behind bars.

Upon his release in March 2019, the businessman was transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody. Joe was ordered to be deported to his native Italy in October 2018. While awaiting a decision on his appeal, he relocated to Italy in October 2019.

Teresa hinted in March 2019 that divorce was on the horizon. "I'm not doing a long-distance relationship. I'm not doing it," she explained on the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion. "You know, I want somebody with me every day. I know exactly what happens. You know, I'm sure he'll be with other women. It happens. We do the long-distance thing, it's not going to work. I'd be like, 'Bye bye.'"

Us Weekly confirmed in December 2019 that the twosome had split. "Teresa and Joe talked about their future when she and the girls were in Italy and decided it was best for them to separate," a source revealed. "Neither of them wanted to be in a long-distance relationship. Joe has been dating in Italy, Teresa is busy taking care of their girls right now. They harbor no ill will toward each other and will continue to coparent their kids."

Teresa and Joe finalized their divorce less than a year later. An insider told Us in September 2020 that they were "supporting each other 100 percent as they each pursue their happiness" and added that the duo's primary focus "will remain their four beautiful daughters."

In April 2021, Joe told Us that he didn't think his marriage to Teresa would have lasted even if he hadn't been deported.

"I mean, she's with her new guy and everything," the former construction business owner said at the time, referring to his ex's now-fiancé, Luis Ruelas. "Why would I want to go back to that? … There's a lot of other women out there."

The Turning Tables author and Ruelas got engaged in October 2021 after more than one year of dating. "Don't ever stop dreaming," Teresa wrote via Instagram just before the news broke, adding the hashtag "#soulmate."

Tying the Knot

Teresa met Joe when she was only 14 years old. After going on their first day when she was 17, they started "seriously dating" when she was 23, the reality TV personality told Bravo in 2016. The pair wed on October 23, 1999.

Reality TV Drama

Bravo cameras started following the Giudice family in 2009. Their relationship came under fire during season 4 when cameras caught Joe calling Teresa "my bitch wife" and "c–t" during the Housewives' trip to Napa in 2012. While the other Housewives accused Joe of cheating and talking to his "girlfriend" on the aforementioned phone call, he told Andy Cohen at the reunion he was on the phone with a "longtime friend," noting "if I was talking to a girlfriend I probably would have ripped my mic off and threw it in the bushes." Teresa's on-off friend Jacqueline Laurita also accused the pair of having an abusive marriage during the season, which they both denied.

Happier Than Ever?

After a rocky season, Teresa told Cohen during the October 2012 reunion that the duo are "happy together." Months later, Teresa and Joe showed off their love on vacation with their daughters in the Dominican Republic, packing on the PDA underwater.

Legal Trouble

Four years after filing for bankruptcy, Teresa and Joe were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax charges in July 2013. More than a year later, the couple were both sentenced to prison for fraud in October 2014. While Teresa was given a 15-month sentence, Joe was set to serve 41 months after his wife was released.

Teresa Goes to Prison

The Bravo star reported to prison in Danbury, Connecticut, in January 2015. "I cry more than the girls," Joe told Us about the family's six-hour visits to see Teresa in April 2015. "I pretty much cry every time I leave. Like a little baby."

Cheating Allegations

Joe denied allegations that he cheated on his then-incarcerated wife with a woman named Jamie Jackson exclusively to Us Weekly in March 2015. "No, I did not flirt with her. I did not make out with her, nothing happened between us," he told Us at the time.

After serving 11 months, Teresa was released and reunited with her family two days before Christmas 2015. Shortly after her return, Joe began his 41-month sentence in March 2016. The reality TV personality admitted exclusively to Us in September 2017 that she has "no idea" if she will "still be married to Joe in 40 years."

Divorce Rumors — and More Cheating Allegations

During Joe's stint in prison, Teresa's former pal Kim DePaola accused her of cheating on her husband. "They've been pretty cozy I'm going to say in the last five months," Kim alleged to Us in July 2017 (and on season 8 of RHONJ). Teresa's attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., Esq told Us at the time that his client "vehemently denies these allegations." Months later, fans thought the twosome were headed for divorce after Teresa posted she's "getting great advice" from a divorce attorney in January 2018.  (She later clarified she was simply promoting her friend's services.)

Staying Strong

Teresa opened up about visiting her spouse during his sentence in February 2018. "I saw him last Saturday. He was 245 when he went in, and now he weighs 185," she told Us exclusively at the time. "He looks so hot and I just can't wait for him to come home. I'm really ready for him to come home."

Deportation

In October 2018, Joe was ordered to be reported to his native Italy, according to Radar Online. "I don't understand how I can be deported on this case. If you will, I'll tell you my side. I shouldn't even be here right now," he told the judge via teleconference at the time. "I have to go back and tell my kids this, and they've been waiting to hear from me." A source told Us at the time that Teresa was surprised by the verdict. "Teresa never talks about Joe's deportation to her friends. She doesn't like to bring up their legal problems very often, but Joe being deported to Italy is very high up on her 'never discuss' list," the source explained, noting everyone, including Teresa thought that they would make an exception for Joe since he has been in this country for so long."

A source told Us in January 2019 that Teresa has "been feeling conflicted for a little while now" despite her revelation that she would split with Joe if he were to get deported. The Bravo personality may remain in the detention center for up to a year until he is either deported to his native Italy or wins the appeal he filed in November. Case Almost Closed

Us confirmed in April 2019 that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement denied Joe's appeal in his deportation case. After the news broke, Teresa and Joe's lawyer James J. Leonard Jr. released a statement vowing to keep fighting for the former construction business owner to stay in the country. "We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice's appeal," the statement read. "We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters."

Kept Apart

The couple's lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., revealed in April 2019 that Teresa and her daughters were unable to visit Joe in ICE custody after his release from prison. "The facility where Joe is being held does not allow for contact visits," he told Us in a statement. "Joe does not want to put Teresa and the girls through the horrific ordeal of driving several hours to visit him and not be able to hug him. They would be restricted to talking on a phone while separated by Plexiglass. It's inhumane that this man cannot hug his wife or kiss his daughters."

Writing From the Heart

In an emotional letter obtained by Radar Online in April 2019, Teresa begged the court not to deport Joe. "My husband is the true love of my life and the most amazing father that I could ask God for our daughters," she wrote. "I cannot imagine life without him. He is our everything and we desperately need him."

Sad Times

After the businessman's bond request was denied in September 2019, Teresa admitted she wasn't in a good place. "It's a sad time with my husband and everything so we're going to try and work it out as best we can," she told reporters. Being Mom and Dad

In October 2019, Joe was granted permission to leave Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody and travel to Italy while his deportation appeal is decided. In an interview with Us Weekly on the day of that decision, Teresa said it was difficult to raise the couple's daughters solo. "It's like I have to be the mom and the dad," she said. "So I'm doing it all by myself. Everything. Taking care of the house, the kids, my dad lives with me, just everything. Being the breadwinner, doing it at all."

A source told Us in October 2019 that the Fabulicious! author had already planned a trip to visit Joe in Italy, adding, "Teresa and all the girls will be visiting sooner rather than later. It's fast approaching."

No Cheating

After a RHONJ season 10 trailer spurred speculation that Teresa cheated on Joe, the reality star's lawyer cleared up the matter in October 2019, telling Us, "The clip in the newer supertease is Teresa, her brother and a lifelong friend named Tony talking about Teresa and Tony kissing when they were in high school more than 25 years ago."

Message from Italy

Later that month, the former construction worker shared a video greeting to his family. "At the end of the day, people make mistakes," he said in the clip. "Nobody's perfect. I've learned a valuable lesson from all this, and I know my family is the most important thing to me, but it's better that I'm out here than in there. I just want to let you know that I love you, and I'm always here for you. You know that."

Looking Ahead

"Maybe this summer," the Standing Strong author told Andy Cohen later that month when asked about her plans to return to Italy. "The girls are going to go back. They wanted to go back for Thanksgiving, but Joe's just getting his passport so we don't know. We were gonna meet in the Bahamas, but he's gonna get his passport right around that time. [They] are definitely going for Christmas. I have to work around that time, so that's why I can't go. So, summer. That'll be my next break. Then the girls have school."

Calling It Quits

Teresa and Joe have split after 20 years of marriage, Us Weekly confirmed on December 17. "Teresa and Joe have separated, but have no plans to divorce yet. Teresa and Joe talked about their future when she and the girls were in Italy and decided it was best for them to separate," a source told Us. "Neither of them wanted to be in a long-distance relationship." The insider added, "Joe has been dating in Italy, Teresa is busy taking care of their girls right now. They harbor no ill will towards each other and will continue to coparent their kids. The girls will be going to Italy is December, Teresa will be staying home."

"Ready to say 'I do' ❤ Which is crazy," the Flip or Flop star, 40, captioned Instagram snaps of the pair on Friday. "If you had asked me four years ago I would've told you I was never getting married again and honestly I didn't even think I would find love."

In the photos, the HGTV personality wore a black brocade blazer over a coordinating shirt. The former Playboy model, for her part, wore a tulle Galia Lahav strapless dress that had her "feeling like a princess," she noted via Instagram Story at the time. Completing the look, she added a pair of heels that said "Wifey for Lifey" on the soles and a side braid with white butterfly hairpins.

During the rehearsal dinner with their family and friends, the happy couple enjoyed speeches from both of their fathers, good friends and El Moussa's 11-year-old daughter, Taylor.

"Heather told my dad that he had chicken legs," Taylor noted during a brief speech captured via her dad's Instagram Story on Friday. "He talks about [it] 24/7, even when he's sitting down making his legs look really big, he goes, 'Do I still have chicken legs?' He even admits that until they die he will never forget what she said … about his chicken legs."

The couple, who are set to wed on Saturday, October 23, shared their excitement that morning while getting ready.

"On our wedding day … Our forever [red heart emoji]," the Netflix star wrote via Instagram Story on Saturday, alongside a quote that read, "Everything you are going through right now is exactly what you need. Everything is serving for your highest purpose. You are in the process of becoming who you are meant to be."

"And even when I got down on a knee and asked her to marry me, I had everybody hiding in tents. So it was all just us out there and it was private, and it was just beautiful.

El Moussa was previously married to Christina Haack from 2009 to 2018 before finalizing their divorce that January. The two share Taylor and son Brayden, 6, and continue to coparent the elementary schoolers.

From the DMs to happily ever after! After initially connecting via Instagram, Love Is Blind's Jessica Batten and Dr. Benjamin McGrath dated for more than one year before getting engaged on September 10, and nearly one month later, she learned how her beau knew she was "The One."

'Love Is Blind' Season 1 Cast: Where Are They Now? Read article

"When did I know? I've got two kids, and just seeing her with the kids just felt like family," the foot and ankle surgeon, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly during a joint interview with the reality TV personality, 36, while attending Whitney CummingsTouch Me standup show in Anaheim, California, on Friday, October 22. "[It] just was natural. That was the biggest thing."

The California native — who has two children, Poppy, 6, and Ethan, 5, from a previous relationship — and his soon-to-be bride gushed about how the little ones handled meeting the Illinois native.

"[They're] so sweet," Batten told Us while dishing on their bond. "They love everything and everyone, which made it easy for me. "It's funny because we all share the same birth week. They bookend me, so we all have this weird kindred spirits thing going on."

The couple already lives with his kids and the Love Is Blind: After the Alter alum has been ready to step into the stepmother role, though McGrath joked that she was "one of the kids."

"It's fun," Batten explained. "It's weird [because] doing things for the first time now is really exciting [because] you think about them and they're experiencing things totally differently. But all the things that I would do like in the closet before, like, drink chocolate milk and watch cartoons in bed all day Saturday  — they want to do that! So it's actually a lot of fun."

McGrath popped the question to the former Atlanta resident last month, to her complete astonishment.

"It was a complete surprise, she had no idea," he revealed to Us. "One day, I was just, like, 'I'm going to do it, we gotta make this happen.' … We'd never talked about a ring or anything like that, so I kind of planned it around her dad coming into town, with him kind of facilitating the surprise. And it turned out pretty good, I think we got her pretty good."

Batten recalled feeling completely "overwhelmed" after seeing her beau down on one knee.

"It took me a minute, but I recited a line from Suits," she remembered. "When we were [doing] long-distance, we were watching Suits, and we would just be on FaceTime and set the phone there and we'd just be watching together. So instead of saying yes, I said, 'Do I have a brain in my head? Do I have a heart in my chest?' And he liked that. Then, he forgot to put the ring on, so I reminded him, 'You have to put the ring on now.'"

While the reality TV star has found her dream wedding dress, the pair haven't begun wedding planning just yet.

Batten was previously engaged to Mark Cuevas after he popped the question sight-unseen on the Netflix dating show in 2018. After a tumultuous journey out of the pods, she eventually walked away from the personal trainer during the finale, which aired in February 2020.

The 27-year-old recapped their would-be wedding day shortly after the finale aired.

"I went into the wedding day just being like, 'I'm going to be in the moment.' I, like, blacked out. I think I was just so nervous," Cuevas exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. "Everyone's just staring at you until she walks in. And then I'm like, 'Oh, damn.' I still remember it. I'm playing it back right now in my mind. I just felt what I felt. … I refer back to when we first saw each other and that was, like, the best moment. That moment will always resonate in my head because I felt like I was on top of the world. I kind of felt the same thing when I was up there. I was on top of the world."

The Meta Training Athletics founder, for his part, later got engaged to Aubrey Rainey in November 2020 before welcoming son Ace in April. The couple announced they are expecting their second child on Friday, October 22.

Months before Cuevas announced his engagement, Batten and McGrath made their love Instagram official in July 2020. Before they started dating, McGrath knew exactly who she was, having seen the first season of the pod-based dating show.

"I love that he watched it because I felt like he got to see what I went through," Batten noted. "Now on the other side of it, obviously we're much happier with how things turned out on this last little blip of LIB. And he's been part of the journey and he's super accepting and super supportive of all of it, so I can't imagine anyone better."

"I'm, like, totally winging my life right now," the former Bachelorette, 30, told Us Weekly of her excitement to reunite with the Canada native, 31, while backstage at Whitney CummingsTouch Me Tour on Friday, October 22. "I literally leave tomorrow in San Diego at, like, six in the morning. So I'm driving back home after [the comedy show in Anaheim, California] at some point."

Since the pair's televised engagement — which aired in August on ABC — they have been working on blending their real lives and navigating long-distance.

"We're figuring it out," the Bachelor season 25 alum said. "We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself, he's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great."

Moynes, who is based in Canada, has been rescuing rhinos in Africa earlier this month, but still found time to support his partner, who made her stand-up debut during the 39-year-old Female Brain star's Friday night tour stop.

"The face you make when you realize your fiancé has bigger balls than you! ⚾⚾," the wildlife manager wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, October 20. "S—t, I thought crashing a group date gave me them … I don't think I could ever even attempt stand up comedy. Super proud and excited for you @thekatiethurston !"

While gushing over her beau's support, the Washington native noted that she was the most excited about "not traveling back and forth" and settling down together "eventually."

"I was surprised [over his post]," Thurston told Us. "I mean for him to be so supportive publicly, it actually meant a lot. For him to be, like, 'you have such big balls.' No, it's p—sy power, okay?"

Moynes, who originally appeared on season 16 of The Bachelorette, returned to the franchise during the fifth week of the following journey to meet the popular TikToker. After a whirlwind courtship, the pair got engaged during the season 17 finale.

"I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with," Thurston noted during the After the Final Rose special, which aired in August. "He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I'm telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I'm just so lucky. I love him so much."

Since then, the pair's relationship has continued to flourish, as Moynes met Thurston's cat, Tommy, and they each visited each other's respective home countries.

"I don't think people fully understand what it's like to date someone from another country and the rules behind that and the visas behind that," the former bank marketing manager explained via Instagram Story video on August 25. "I think right now Blake can only be here for 60 days before having to go back to Canada, so we really do have a lot we have to look into — and we just haven't yet — before we can plan really anything else."

Friday's standup gig at the City National Grove of Anaheim marked the first time that the Bachelorette season 17 lead tried her hand at comedy in front of a live audience after the "Good for You" podcast host convinced her to open up for her during a September episode.

"Look, I wanted to bail a thousand times, and somehow I am still sitting right here about to do it," Thurston admitted. "Truthfully, I think [Whitney] believed in me more than I believed in me. I was like, okay, she's pushing me, and I'm, like, 'I can't say no to this opportunity.' This will never come again. So I'm here. I don't know how I made it here, but I am here at this moment."

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' Relationship Timeline

Posted: 23 Oct 2021 06:15 AM PDT

These days, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are royalty as far as Hollywood couples go, but the Detective Pikachu star and the Age of Adaline actress were once just two friends out on a double date — with other people!

As Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM show in February 2016: "We went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl — and that was, like, the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across."

Still, the Critics' Choice winner said he was glad that the two started off as "buddies." "I remember it was funny, because for about a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and all that stuff, we were both single," he said of their shared 2010 film. "I think the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends."

It's certainly worked out for the duo. Not only did they go to tie the knot in September 2012, but they have since welcomed three children together.

The pair share daughters James and Inez — born in 2015 and 2016, respectively — and a third daughter, born in the summer of 2019. Us Weekly broke the news of baby No. 3's arrival in October 2019.

Nearly a year later, Taylor Swift released "Betty" on her Folklore album, sparking speculation that the couple named their youngest daughter Betty — she also sang about Inez and James on the track. In August 2020, the musician confirmed that she "named all the characters in this story after my friends' kids."

Ahead of becoming a family of five, Reynolds joked about the couple's relationship trajectory.

"One of the most common things in the world is making out, having a couple of drinks, and then doing it, and then having a baby. I was perfectly sober for this one, though. I gotta say," Reynolds told EW in his 2016 interview, after the pair's second child was born. "It's amazing."

As for the Shallows star, she told Vogue in August 2014: "Everything we do in life, we do together. If I'm working on a movie, he helps me with my character; I do the same with him."

They also famously troll one another on social media: Lively razzes Reynolds about his parenting skills, while he teases her cooking abilities, ranking them beneath pal Jake Gyllenhaal's.

Lively, Reynolds and their two daughters made their debut as a family of four in December 2016 to celebrate the Golden Globe nominee's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "Proud is a pitiful word to describe how I felt today," Lively captioned an Instagram photo from the event. "@vancityreynolds The permanence of your impact is undeniable …Always has been, but now we have a fancy [star] to show for it."

Reynolds opened up about how he knew his wife was "the one" to GQ one month prior. "Probably after the sex," he teased, adding, "No, we were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that's open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, 'Want to dance?' No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, 'Oh, I think I just crossed a line.'"

By January, the twosome were back to glamming it up for the cameras, hitting the 2017 Golden Globes together in their red carpet finest — a black and gold Atelier Versace halter gown for Lively and a crisp black suit with a white undershirt for Reynolds.

That same month, the producer opened up about how his love had helped him navigate Deadpool fandom. "By the time we were in post[-production], we'd been to Comic-Con, and people went crazy for it. The expectations were eating me alive. Blake helped me through that. I'm lucky to have her around just to keep me sane," he told Variety.

Reynolds told Mr. Porter magazine in May 2018 that he credited his significant other with helping him to mend his relationship with father James "Jim" Reynolds ahead of his death (Jim lost a long-fought battle with Parkinson's disease in 2015).  "She has a gift for foresight," he said at the time.

He shared a similar sentiment while commenting on an Instagram photo from Humans of New York in May 2017: "She always responds with empathy," he wrote of his wife. "She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She'll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she's made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn't want to remember. She made me remember the good times."

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ Most Savage Trolling Moments

Posted: 23 Oct 2021 06:14 AM PDT

All's fair in love and trolling wars — just ask Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

The couple, who got married in 2012, are known for their spot-on social media snark, which is more often than not aimed at their famous significant other.

For much of the duo's relationship, the two have been savagely one-upping each other.

Reynolds has poked fun at his wife for closing her eyes in photos, committing supernatural infidelity and unfollowing him on Instagram. The Shallows star, for her part, has thrown her husband under the bus for his less than stellar motorcycle skills, flexing his muscles while saving a turtle and wanting pie instead of cake on his birthday.

When Lively and the Deadpool star's trolling quickly escalated to include jokes about them splitting up or cheating on each other with Anna Kendrick or Gigi Hadid, fans were nervous, but they realized it was just par for the course.

The parents of daughters James, Inez and Betty are "two extremely proud and private people and keeping their relationship low-key and off radar is what's worked so well for them over the years," a source exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2020. "Away from the cameras, people may find it surprising to hear they're just a regular couple who love to hang out and do the normal things together without making a song and dance about it all."

However, playful ribbing on Instagram and Twitter is fair game for this internet savvy pair, which is why no one is all that surprised if the Free Guy star posts a happy birthday message to his wife featuring a video of Mariah Carey. It's also totally normal for the Gossip Girl alum to mock Reynolds' performance in Detective Pikachu.

"I mean, he didn't even change his voice," she joked on Twitter in 2019. "It just sounds like him."

The loving wisecracks might be standard practice for these two, but that doesn't mean it isn't hilariously funny for the A Simple Favor actress to make fun of her husband's celebrity alcohol brand, Aviation Gin, only to have him throw shade her way when she launched her own line of non-alcoholic mixers in September 2021.

Occasionally, the couple even team up to troll for a good cause.

After Gerard Butler admitted he didn't know what Free Guy was because he doesn't watch Reynolds' movies in a September 2021 interview, the Definitely, Maybe actor and Lively used the headline-making fake feud to raise money for the American Civil Liberties Union and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Keep scrolling to relive Lively and Reynolds' most savage trolling moments.

When Ryan Said He Would Use Blake as a 'Human Shield'

Ah, the early days of the Reynolds' savagery. The Deadpool actor told David Letterman shortly after the couple's first daughter, James, was born that his priorities had shifted. "I used to say to [Blake], 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' I would say that to my wife," he said during a February 2015 appearance on The Late Show. "And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."

When Blake Made Fun of Ryan's Lack of Motorcycle Skills

Reynolds shared an Instagram photo of a man riding a motorcycle without holding on with the caption, "Don't try this at home," in May 2015. His wife quickly took him down a peg with her reply: "…Because he already tried!! @vancityreynolds just posted some great advice, but he forgot to mention one small detail. #Hypocrite#I'dGive70dollarsColdHardCashToWhoeverCouldResistHim #TooInLike."

When Blake Called John Legend the 'Best Man I Know'

When Blake Unfollowed Ryan

This was more than a trolling moment. It was a work obligation! Lively briefly unfollowed a number of accounts — including her husband's — to promote her film A Simple Favor in May 2018. "Definitely stings. It's a terrible way to find out that I've been kicked out of the house, to be honest," the Green Lantern actor said when asked about the move. "Absolutely terrible. I don't know where rage like that comes from."

The first three things were delicious desserts from the city, including ice cream, doughnuts and pie. "And the 4th of course is @askforluigi," she wrote alongside the photo of cake, cookies and more from Ask for Luigi restaurant. "…Who did you think I was gonna say??" In the clip, Carey is singing "Fantasy" while Reynolds is "loading" his page. "I'm still recovering from that side-eye," he commented on Carey's original post.
