Inside Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Low-Key Relationship Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:40 PM PDT From Fargo to family! Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead brought their onscreen romance into the real world after working together on the FX series. The pair appeared on season 3 of the anthology crime drama, which debuted in April 2017. McGregor portrayed twins Emmit Stussy and Ray Stussy, while Winstead played Nikki Swango, Ray’s fiancée. “Fargo is such a dream because it’s everything you want,” the 10 Cloverfield Lane actress told Glamour in April 2017. “It’s the best material. I knew just from the history of the last couple seasons that every single female role [on this show] has been so rich and layered and fascinating. … Most of my career I’ve been considered an up-and-comer, which is sort of funny sometimes when you’re an up-and-comer after 15 years. But I’m very grateful to still be rising.” Playing Nikki helped Winstead become “more confident” in herself both on and off the screen. “It’s taken me a lot of time to get to that place — my confidence and being comfortable in my own skin and my body and being able to play a role like Nikki that’s sexy,” she told the outlet, referring to her character as being “sexy but she’s also a billion other things.” One month later, the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World star announced via social media that she split from husband Riley Stearns, whom she wed in 2010. She later told Glamour UK that going through her divorce was “a scary, crazy thing,” noting in January 2020, “I was starting anew as an adult for the first time.” Following her split from Stearns, the Spectacular Now actress was spotted on a PDA-filled date with McGregor in London. An eyewitness told Us Weekly in October 2017 that the pair were affectionate and “seemed relaxed in each other’s company.” The Trainspotting actor was previously married to Eve Mavrakis, with whom he shares four children. They welcomed daughters Clara and Esther in February 1996 and November 2001, respectively. They also adopted daughters Jamyan and Anouk. After the Emmy winner was spotted getting cozy with Winstead, fans began to wonder about the status of his marriage. In January 2018, TMZ confirmed McGregor had filed for divorce, listing May 2017 as the date of the pair’s separation. The proceedings were finalized in August 2020. While McGregor and the Sky High actress have kept their romance relatively private, the relationship has raised eyebrows — even among family members. In August 2018, his daughter Clara apologized for calling Winstead a “piece of trash” in a previous interview. “It wasn’t the most mature way to go about things, but I was angry and upset,” she told The Times. “There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with — not to make excuses or anything — but, yeah, it wasn’t my finest moment.” Scroll down to see more of McGregor and Winstead’s whirlwind romance: ![]() The duo sparked a romance while playing onscreen lovebirds in season 3 of Fargo. Bachelor Nation Couples Who Have Split in 2021 Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:30 PM PDT Black roses. Bachelor Nation has weathered many storms and made some strides throughout its two-decade run — including a historic 25th season of The Bachelor with the first Black lead in Matt James, which premiered in January. Not every couple, however, gets their happy ending, including season 16 Bachelorette Clare Crawley and fiancé Dale Moss. After a whirlwind romance in 2020, the pair called it quits in January, before giving their love another shot the following month. Us Weekly confirmed in September that the twosome separated less than one year after reconciling. "It was best for them to go their separate ways at this time," an insider told Us at the time before things got messy between them. "They will still support each other and have love for each other no matter what." The former couple made headlines after their romance resulted in the hairstylist leaving The Bachelorette two weeks into filming, following a proposal from Moss, which aired in November 2020. By the new year, however, the pair had hit a bump in the road and opted to end their engagement for good in September. Following the second breakup, a source exclusively told Us that Crawley is ready to move on with her life. "Clare has seen everything by now for what is needed for her to have closure and not look back. She's done with Dale for good," the insider said in October. "This past week has proven to her that he's not someone who full-heartedly cares about her. He's putting on an act for the public because he's all about himself and his public image." Earlier in the year, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart season 1 winners, Bri Stauss and Chris Watson, announced their split. After finding love on the spinoff series, which premiered in April 2020, the duo called it quits in early January, telling E! News in a joint statement: "We will always look back on our journey with deep fondness and will continue to support each other both personally and professionally." The pair, who sparked breakup speculation in December 2020 after being noticeably absent from one another's social media accounts, released two albums before ending their relationship. Scroll down to see which Bachelor Nation couples went their separate ways in 2021: ![]() The former bank marketing manager got engaged to the wildlife manager while filming The Bachelorette season 17 finale in April. The duo’s proposal aired on TV in August of that year and just two months later, they confirmed they had gone their separate ways. “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” the stars wrote in a joint announcement which they shared via their respective Instagram accounts. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Us exclusively confirmed in September that the season 21 Bachelor alum and her beau split after less than two years of dating. “We broke up about two months ago. I wish her nothing but the best,” Fratantoni told Us in a statement at the time. “I don’t wish anything bad about her and [I] don’t have anything bad to say about her.” Photographer Group/MEGA ![]() Us confirmed in January 2021 that Crawley and Moss called it quits, two months after their TV proposal aired on The Bachelorette in November 2020. Us reported at the time that the duo were trying to work through their “serious issues,” but ultimately the relationship “caused friction with Dale’s friends and family.” The former football player confirmed the breakup the same day, saying it was “the healthiest decision” for both of them to separate. The two briefly rekindled their romance in February, but Us confirmed seven months later that they had parted ways for a second time. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The pilot met Flanagan ahead of his time as the Bachelor and while they connected during filming, he sent her home ahead of hometowns. While Weber proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss during the 2020 finale and briefly romanced his runner-up, Madison Prewett, after they split, he turned his attention to Flanagan in April 2020. However, the duo called it quits in December 2020, with Weber announcing the breakup on New Year’s Eve. The exes got back together in January, but by Valentine’s Day the following month, they were officially broken up. “We had a great Valentine’s Day together. And then, again, there were just like little things. … It ended really badly,” Flanagan said on a March episode of the “Off the Vine” podcast. “I essentially went off on him. I ended up leaving New York and going to one of my girlfriend’s houses and hanging out with her. He texted me, I didn’t respond and then found some news out that I wasn’t happy about. We still had each other on Find My Friends. … I went off and essentially said, like, ’Get the hell out of my life.’ It ended really badly.” The pair have since publicly feuded over what went wrong in their relationship. Courtesy Kelley Flanagan/Instagram ![]() The pair, who met while filming Listen to Your Heart, which debuted in April 2020, announced their split in January. “With deep admiration and respect for one another, we have decided to end our relationship and go our separate ways,” the former couple said in a joint statement at the time, noting they hope to continue to collaborate musically. “We look forward to sharing more updates with you all as we navigate our future making music together.” ABC/Craig Sjodin |
Katie Thurston Wore Her Engagement Ring Days Before Blake Moynes Split Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:15 PM PDT ![]() Days before announcing her split from Blake Moynes, Katie Thurston was spotted wearing her Neil Lane-designed 3-carat engagement ring. During her appearance at Whitney Cummings' Touch Me Tour on Friday, October 22, the oval-shaped diamond was in full display as Thurston, 30, exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about making a long-distance relationship work. “The short version is we're figuring it out,” the season 17 Bachelorette lead told Us at the time. “We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself. He's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great.” The former bank marketing manager noted that she was “totally winging” her life as she juggled her day-to-day in San Diego while Moynes, 31, stayed in Canada in-between trips all over the world. Most recently, he was in Africa for the majority of October. Thurston added that she was looking forward to no longer “traveling back and forth” when it came to seeing the wildlife manager. Several days later, the duo confirmed that they had called it quits. “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” Thurston and Moynes captioned their individual posts via Instagram on Monday, October 25. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.” Fans got to see Thurston and Moynes fall in love during season 17 of The Bachelorette, which ended with the pair walking away engaged. Following the finale, the Washington native confirmed that Moynes was her first choice out of all her contestants. "I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with," she said during the After the Final Rose special in August. "He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I'm telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I'm just so lucky. I love him so much." Thurston also gushed about Moynes’ decision to crash the ABC series during the fifth week of her season. “It's actually probably the most romantic thing someone's ever done," she said about Moynes, who previously appeared on Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams‘ season of the Bachelorette in 2020. "I know you question it in the beginning. I know a lot of people did, but knowing that I could've turned him away and he would've looked dumb, he took all these risks for me and no one's ever believed in me like that. So for him to just trust in us early on, it just means everything." |

Why Shawn Mendes Deleted TikTok Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:02 PM PDT Seeking solace, ASAP! For some celebrities, the best way to find peace is to take a hiatus from cyberspace, where total chaos reigns. Stars including Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian and Sarah Hyland have taken breaks from social media in order to refresh their minds, their mentions and their search history. The “Bad Liar” songstress, who at one point was the most followed person on Instagram, is a huge fan of stepping away from the internet when trolls get her down. "I have not, personally, in two years had any social media on my phone,” she said during an Instagram Live in October 2020. "I use the platform, I make sure I approve and write things I want to write, but I don't look at it and it's not on my phone.” Though the former Disney star had plenty of fans following her, she also had her fair share of haters, who made it difficult for her to enjoy the apps. "I just felt like every day I woke up and I was like, 'Why am I doing this?'" she explained. “These words hurt and they add nothing to my life and the truth is they're lies. So, that is how I handled it, by saying, 'You know what? I'm going to step out of this because I don't think it's helping me at all.'” Even Kardashian, a veritable Instagram queen, has taken brief breaks from the app. After she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October 2016, she didn’t return to her accounts for three months. Since then, the Skims founder has changed how she posts and no longer adds Instagram Stories in real time. “I learned from a bad experience I had when I was robbed that people really knew my every move,” she explained during a New York Times conference in November 2019. “They knew what I had, they knew where I was, what I was doing and that, to me, really changed the things that I post.” Now, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star waits a beat before sharing her life with her fans. “I still want people to feel like they’re on that journey with me,” she said. “But I might video something, then post it 30 minutes later when I’ve left the location, more for privacy.” Keep scrolling to see which celebrities stepped back from social media: ![]() The “Treat You Better” singer said he loves his apps a little too much — and that’s why he had to leave TikTok in October 2021. Luckily, he’s just on a little hiatus. “TikTok is great. I have extreme social media addiction, so I have to really balance myself out,” he explained to Audacy at the time. “I have to delete those apps every now and again.” The Canadian confirmed that he is “on a TikTok break right now.” He continued, “But when I have it, it’s everything … I am a child of Vine. They’re different, TikTok is much more advanced.” David Fisher/Shutterstock ![]() Following the birth of her third child, the Party of Five alum took to Instagram in October 2021 to announce she was taking a social media breather. Hewitt said she needed “at least a week, maybe two away” so that she could transition from “scrolling time” to “active time” with her family. The 9-1-1 star explained that being on the apps made her feel “bad” about her postpartum body. “Like I’m not enough. Doing enough. Getting my body back fast enough. Giving enough. All of it,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. Courtesy of Jennifer Love Hewitt/Instagram ![]() The Paramore crooner wrote a lengthy statement via Instagram, announcing her social media pause. “I’ve been on the internet and more specifically, social media, since I was 15. Maybe even younger. It started with the blog sites … then Myspace. Then Paramore became a thing and social media wasn’t even just for my own personal use anymore but it was part of the job,” she wrote in the post. “It has been a useful and mostly beautiful part of the job. I crave connection and the internet is a pretty good tool for that when it’s not tearing us apart.” She continued, “As for my own personal experience with social media, I just don’t want it anymore. I’ve carefully considered this decision for almost a year now. Now I know for sure that my desire to move away from personal accounts (yes, even my finsta) is based on nothing more than my interest in keeping a boundary between a public and a private life and wanting to spend more time looking up and out, rather than down.” Williams added that professional updates moving forward can be found via the band’s account. Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock ![]() The "Video Games" songstress deactivated her social media accounts in September 2021 after sharing a video with fans about why she needed a break from the internet. "Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow, we are going to be deactivating our social media accounts, my social media accounts," Del Rey said in the clip. "And that is simply because I have so many other interests and other jobs I'm doing that require privacy and transparency." She noted that she was still on track to release her eighth studio album, Blue Banisters, in October 2021. "I'm still present and I love what I do," she explained. "And I'm absolutely here for the music, and I'm also just going on some different endeavors. And I want to say thank you so much for all the support, and I do hope you like the record. It's a compilation of older songs and a few newer songs, some written by family and friends and mostly old collaborators, and there will probably always be more to come." Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() "I got rid of Twitter, I got rid of Instagram, I blocked YouTube, that was a big one," the "Solar Power" singer told James Corden in August 2021. "But now my social network is the New York Times cooking app. ... That's become a source of community for me." One month later, the New Zealand native went into more detail about her reason for stepping back from social media in Vogue’s October 2021 cover story. “I think I was known for having my finger on the pulse, so it was actually a huge decision philosophically for me to step back from that. But I started to see the phone as a portal,” Lorde explained. “I can’t keep going through that portal, in the same way that I wouldn’t just take mushrooms all these moments of a day. It’s too deep a tunnel.” She added: “I could sense that it would be very bad for the work and for me if I stayed online. I don’t think I’ve met too many people for whom social media is a net positive. It’s producing crazy chemicals, forming crazy neural pathways that are not rooted in positivity. … But I think we’ve got to be upfront about the things that are making us sick as a society.” PA Images/INSTAR ![]() In August 2021, the model told her followers that she needed some time away from her apps to focus on herself and her health. "On social media, we see what people want us to see. I want you to see that I'm not perfect," she wrote via Instagram. "For a long time, for many reasons, I didn't take my physical and mental health seriously. ... Right now I must prioritize my physical and mental health although I do feel weirdly guilty doing so. It's starting to get a bit scary so if I'm not as present on social media, if I don't meet deadlines, if I don't respond to messages, this is why. I'm sorry to everyone, but for me, I need to take this break to save my energy and use it to heal." Jason Mendez/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() The music manager deactivated both his Twitter and Instagram accounts in July 2021, days after he filed for divorce from his wife of seven years, Yael Cohen Braun. Shutterstock ![]() After receiving backlash for a TikTok in which she questioned a dance popularized by Black choreographers, the Ned’s Declassified alum revealed she was taking a break from social media in a teary Instagram Story video. "I just have to say right now that the hate in my inbox is not OK," she said in July 2021. "I did not mean anything in any kind of way. I am learning every day, as I think everybody is. And this kind of hate just needs to evaporate from the planet, no matter who it's directed towards. Crocodile tears? No, dude — this is like my soul out there. If you know anything about what I stand for or what I believe in, you know that it's not this." The actress continued, “For my own mental health, I needed to take a step back from social media anyway. But I'm not here to offend or belittle anybody. ... The intention wasn't that serious. I gotta just go off here for a little while. But I appreciate you, I love you and I'll be back. And I hope that I know more, and I hope we all have a little more compassion and understanding." Rob Latour/Shutterstock ![]() While commemorating the one-year anniversary of her YouTube channel in July 2021, the Captain Marvel star announced that she decided to put her social media project on hold for the moment. “So I did not think that I would hit the one-year mark on this, to be quite honest," she said in a video message to her followers. "I didn’t know how I’d feel putting myself out there weekly in this way. I think some of you know that I started this channel, I started thinking about it before the pandemic, and it was because I needed to just, like, I needed to shake it up. I needed to feel like I could just be silly and normal.” The Oscar winner explained that because film production had resumed more regularly after the coronavirus lockdowns of 2020, she would have less time to spend on her vlog. "I can’t keep up on doing videos weekly," she added. "I’ve got to go back to my job. My first job. My acting job.” YouTube ![]() The Crikey! It's the Irwins star announced she’d be taking a month-long break from the apps in June 2021, almost three months after giving birth to her daughter, Grace Warrior. “I feel tremendously grateful to share our life and conservation work with you but I need some time to focus on the happiness that is my family (both human and animal). You can keep up with our adventures by following my family and Australia Zoo on social media. 💙,” she wrote via Instagram. “Recently, I’ve had many people reaching out to share their own stories of working hard to protect their mental health. Thank you for sharing and speaking your truth. To my friends who are dealing with depression, anxiety and other battles every day — I see you. These issues are very real and deserve to be discussed and addressed. "It's different this season. You're right. Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP/Shutterstock ![]() "I don't even have a Twitter anymore because there was never really a time where I would go on there and it didn't feel like it was a very toxic environment," the model explained during a March 2021 YouTube video featuring psychiatrist Jessica Clemons. "The thought of even opening the app gives me such bad anxiety that I feel like I'm gonna throw up. ... I want everyone to like me, it's like, my downfall at times and I'm working through it. I think one thing I've had to come to the conclusion of is trying not to feel like I owe everybody an explanation or owe anybody anything, and really just try to correct what I need to correct personally behind closed doors." Baldwin also made some changes to her Instagram feed, restricting comments in order to create a more "encouraging and uplifting" environment. Matt Baron/Shutterstock ![]() The Scandal alum announced in a Twitter video in March 2021 that she was “going to be gone for a few weeks” because she needed a break from social media. “I love you guys. … Miss you already,” she captioned the post. Clare, Andrew S. and More React to Katie and Blake's Split Posted: 25 Oct 2021 04:59 PM PDT Bachelor Nation to the rescue! Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes received an outpouring of support from their fellow reality stars, including exes Clare Crawley and Andrew Spencer, after announcing their split on Monday, October 25. "It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways," the pair wrote via Instagram in a joint statement. "We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently." The pair, who got engaged in April while filming the season 17 Bachelorette finale, asked for "kindness and privacy" as they navigate the breakup. "Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision," their statement concluded. The former bank manager, 30, connected with Moynes, 31, before she began filming her Bachelorette season earlier this year. The Canada native previously vied for both Crawley, 40, and Tayshia Adams' hearts on season 16 of the ABC dating series before sliding into Thurston's DMs in January after she made her Bachelor debut on Matt James' season. Moynes recalled in July during an episode of the "Click Bait" podcast that Thurston "didn't open up her dialogue in any way" when he tried to chat with her on social media. However, after he joined her season of The Bachelorette a few episodes in, their chemistry was hard to deny. Fans watched the Blake Moynes Shop cofounder get down on one knee during the August finale of the show, following a dramatic end to Thurston's relationship with Greg Grippo that resulted in the Washington native later calling Grippo, 28, a "gaslighter" for how he exited the show. "I always thought you showed up late, but if there's anything I've learned during our journey together, it's that love shows up when it wants, regardless of time, tradition, expectations, and that's why we're standing right here in this very moment," Thurston told Moynes before he proposed and she happily accepted. "You showed up exactly when you were meant to show up. I'll forever be thankful that you fought to be here." The twosome made their relationship Instagram official the same month in celebration of the wildlife manager's birthday. Earlier this month, Thurston expressed concern over being in a long-distance relationship, telling her Instagram followers that she was "lonely" while Moynes was away in Africa for work. The TV personality exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, October 22, that she was "winging" it when it came to her romance and personal life. "The short version is we're figuring it out," she told Us. "We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself. He's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great." Katie and Blake Spent Weeks Apart Before Split: Signs It Was Over Posted: 25 Oct 2021 04:13 PM PDT Bachelor Nation saw it coming? Katie Thurston confirmed she and Blake Moynes split, ending their engagement just as the signs things were over for the Bachelorette couple were starting to add up. After her stint on Matt James' season of The Bachelor, ABC named the 30-year-old Washington native the season 17 lead. Moynes, 31, for his part, competed for Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams on season 16 of The Bachelorette in 2020 before crashing the 2021 season. Us Weekly broke the news in April that Thurston's journey wrapped early. When the show aired during the summer, fans watched her get engaged to Moynes after two of her top four — Greg Grippo and Michael Allio — quit the show. Following the August finale, Thurston admitted exclusively to Us that she wasn't sure whether she and Moynes would still be together if he didn't propose. "You go through so much and you want to take this very seriously — and a proposal and engagement is very serious. I didn't come here to find a boyfriend. I can do that on a dating app," she said at the time. "It's hard to say if we would have survived just as a dating couple, but the fact that we're both committed to each other as future husband and wife, it just says a lot about our confidence in our relationship." As the twosome began to date post-show, it was clear they weren't in a rush to walk down the aisle. They also opted not to live in together as Moynes traveled to Africa for work and Thurston moved to San Diego. "We need to see each other's lifestyles and our passions, our interests, and then try to see where our anchor spot will be, where all those things can kind of align and make sense for both of us," Moynes told Us in August. "We're going to jump around for a bit and experience what works best for us." Less than three months later, however, she announced they called off their engagement. "It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently," she wrote on Monday, October 25, via Instagram. "We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision." Scroll through for the signs that a split was coming: ![]() “It can feel lonely moving to a new state,” Thurston admitted on October 11 before thanking fans for joining her via Instagram Live. “And last night truly felt like a hangout in my living room with you all virtually. Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes Were 'Winging' Relationship Days Before Split Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:50 PM PDT Hinting at trouble? Days before her split from Blake Moynes, Katie Thurston admitted that long-distance romance came with some complications. “I’m, like, totally winging my life right now,” the former Bachelorette, 30, told Us Weekly while backstage at Whitney Cummings' Touch Me Tour on Friday, October 22. “I literally leave tomorrow in San Diego at, like, six in the morning.” Just days later, the Washington native announced that the duo called it quits less than three months after their televised engagement. "It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways,” Thurston wrote via Instagram on Monday, October 25. “We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently. We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision." Moynes posted an identical statement on his own Instagram. The former bank marketing manager and the Canada native, 31, got engaged during the season 17 finale of The Bachelorette following a whirlwind romance. After filming wrapped, Thurston moved to San Diego while Moynes returned to Canada. His job, however, requires a lot of travel, including a recent trip to Africa. “The short version is we're figuring it out,” Thurston told Us on Friday when asked how the former duo were making long-distance work. “We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself. He's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great.” The reality star, who was wearing her ring during Friday’s event, added that she was most looking forward to “not traveling back and forth” to see Moynes in the future, but it seems her most recent trip may have been her last. Earlier this month, Thurston clapped back after an Instagram user asked her why she and her then-fiancé hadn’t been liking each other’s posts. "Imagine your fiancé has been on his stories for weeks in Kenya working his ass off and yet this is what some people notice,” she tweeted on October 15, adding a laughing face emoji. After their engagement, the former couple told Us that they planned to maintain a long-distance romance while they figured out where they wanted to live together. "We need to see each other's lifestyles and our passions, our interests, and then try to see where our anchor spot will be, where all those things can kind of align and make sense for both of us," Moynes explained in August. "We're going to jump around for a bit and experience what works best for us." |

Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes' Relationship Timeline Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:07 PM PDT Third times the charm! Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes' road to romance certainly had its bumps — but they found a happy ending after meeting on season 17 of The Bachelorette. Katie’s unconventional journey — which was cohosted by Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe after Chris Harrison stepped down amid controversy — featured many twists and turns. Blake’s late arrival, for example, threw some contestants for a loop, but Katie never wavered on their strong connection. While Blake didn't show up until the fifth week of the season, he previously slid into Katie’s DMs after romancing both Clare Crawley and Tayshia on season 16 of the dating series. "I definitely knew who he was, which also Tayshia's ex-boyfriend! So that's weird," the former bank marketing manager exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2021. "We had chatted before, but usually what happens is, like, the guys will reach out to the women once they're eliminated and be like, 'Good luck, you did great.' Like, very generic, you know? And so to see him, I was like, 'Why is he here?' Like, 'What's happening?'" The shock of Blake’s arrival quickly wore off and the wildlife manager became a clear frontrunner. After first impression rose winner Greg Grippo surprised Katie with his abrupt departure following their hometown date, she was forced to regroup and reassess her remaining relationships. The Washington native got the clarity she needed after her fantasy suite date with Blake, which aired as a part of the three-hour season finale in August 2021. Despite some hesitation on the Canadian’s part when picking out the perfect engagement ring, the couple got engaged during the finale and couldn't stop smiling as they made their first official appearance together on the After the Final Rose special. “It's actually probably the most romantic thing someone's ever done," Katie gushed during the special, reflecting on Blake’s choice to crash her season. "I know you question it in the beginning. I know a lot of people did, but knowing that I could've turned him away and he would've looked dumb, he took all these risks for me and no one's ever believed in me like that. So for him to just trust in us early on, it just means everything." Katie made it clear that she was confident she’d found The One — despite some fans’ skepticism about their connection. "I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with," she noted during After the Final Rose special. "He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I'm telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I'm just so lucky. I love him so much." Katie announced in October 2021 that the pair had called it quits just months after fans watched her proposal play out on TV. Scroll down to relive the couple's road to romance: ![]() Blake vyed for the hearts of both Clare and Tayshia on season 16 of The Bachelorette, which aired in 2020. Katie, for her part, was a contestant on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The Blake Moynes Shop founder first connected with his fiancée while she was competing on season 25 of the dating show, which premiered in January 2021. “When I actually reached out that first time, after the first episode, her responses were very cold back,” he revealed during a July 2021 episode of the “Click Bait” podcast. “She was nice, but she didn’t open up her dialogue in any way. It was shut down right then and there.” The former Bachelorette contestant noted that he reached out to Katie after she brought a vibrator with her to meet Matt. “She came out of that limo with that vibrator, I was like, ‘Yeah, I like what she’s about,'” he explained, clarifying that it wasn’t about the vibrator itself, but rather how confident she was bringing it with her. “It’s the fact that she had the balls to have fun with it, and go with it, and go with the flow.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Blake joined season 17 during the July 5, 2021, episode. Tayshia informed the remaining 14 suitors that the Canada native would be joining them at Katie's request, which didn’t sit well with some of the men. Blake later noted that he could feel the tension when he showed up, but insisted he would have started the journey earlier if possible because he’d never met anyone like Katie. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Blake scored a on a one-on-one date as soon as he arrived on the July 5 episode. The pair went horseback riding and quickly learned they had a lot in common. During the dinner portion of their date, Blake asked how Katie became so sex-positive, prompting her to opened up about surviving sexual assault and wanting to take back her power. After the intimate moment, Katie gave him a rose. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The wildlife manager shared some of his favorite Canadian treats and activities with Katie during their hometown date on the August 2, 2021, episode of the ABC series. Their playful outing included eating syrup, playing hockey and riding a mechanical moose. Blake told his family — and the cameras — that she was The One as well as the cameras but couldn’t muster up the courage to tell Katie in the moment. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Katie was blindsided by Greg after he decided to take himself out of the competition. Following his departure, both the Bachelorette and Blake questioned what would happen next with their own relationship. “If Katie is still hung up on Greg, there’s no point,” Blake said during the finale episode before their fantasy suite date cemented their status as a couple. Kate then sent runner-up Justin Glaze packing, leaving only Blake in New Mexico to meet her family. “Definitely my feelings were growing, and I knew each time we saw each other it was just getting stronger and stronger, and it was just so easy. Like, we picked up right where we left off. Time didn’t matter,” she explained during the August 2021 After the Final Rose special. “Every day our love continues to grow stronger and stronger. We are not even the same couple that you guys just saw go down on one knee. We are so much more already, and we’re just really excited to start our lives together.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Blake freaked out during the August 9, 2021, finale episode as he looked at engagement ring options. Although he was confused as to whether it was the right time to commit to Katie, she was confident that he was The One. “I always thought you showed up late, but if there’s anything I’ve learned during our journey together, it’s that love shows up when it wants, regardless of time, tradition, expectations, and that’s why we’re standing right here in this very moment,” she gushed before Blake's proposal. “You showed up exactly when you were meant to show up. I’ll forever be thankful that you fought to be here.” Though it seemed like Blake wasn’t ready to get down on one knee when he first started to speak, he ultimately popped the question. “I can’t give you what you came here for because you deserve a lot more than that,” he said. “You deserve the world, and I’m excited to support you and be there for you every day moving forward.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The lovebirds revealed during the After the Final Rose special that they are happily engaged. Katie told the audience that she wasn't fazed by Blake's hesitation. “I’m glad that he took the time to take it seriously,” she said. “It is an engagement. Yes, we didn’t have a lot of time with each other, but it does show just how serious he was taking this and he actually was maybe unsure for a moment. It just makes it that much more special that he meant it.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “So excited to start our best f--king life! You’re a rock. I'm thankful for @bacheloretteabc and all it has provided. … I am thankful for @blakemoynes. I left a year ago in search of love. And because of him, the fight, the sadness, the tears, the pain … it was all worth it as it led me to him. Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes Split 2 Months After Engagement Airs Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:03 PM PDT It’s over. Following their whirlwind romance on season 17 of The Bachelorette, Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes have called it quits. “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently,” Thurston, 30, captioned an Instagram post on Monday, October 25. “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.” Ahead of their split, the season 25 Bachelor alum revealed that she was “totally winging [her] life” as one half of a long-distance couple. While Thurston moved to San Diego following her Bachelorette journey, Moynes, 31, was still based in Canada and his job brought him all over the world, including a recent trip to Africa. "We're figuring it out," she told Us Weekly while backstage at Whitney Cummings' Touch Me Tour on Friday, October 22, about making her relationship work while Moynes was traveling. "We don't know. This is very new to us still. I'm just focusing on myself, he's focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great." Viewers watched the pair grow closer throughout Thurston’s season of the hit ABC show, which ended in August. Moynes originally appeared on Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams‘ season of the Bachelorette in 2020 before he made a second attempt at finding love with the Washington native. However, the duo later revealed that they had been in contact before filming began. "I definitely knew who he was, which also Tayshia’s ex-boyfriend! So that's weird," the former bank marketing manager exclusively told Us in June about her future fiancé sliding into her DMs. "We had chatted before, but usually what happens is, like, the guys will reach out to the women once they're eliminated and be like, 'Good luck, you did great.' Like, very generic, you know? And so to see him, I was like, 'Why is he here?' Like, 'What's happening?'" During the season finale in August, Moynes got down on one knee to pop the question, which Thurston wasn’t sure would actually happen. “In the moment — because there was a moment where I didn’t think he was proposing — I was just happy to leave with him. I knew that was going to happen no matter what, [but] it’s hard to say the impact of that in the real world [if he didn't propose]," she shared with Us during a joint interview with the Canadian after the proposal aired. "You go through so much and you want to take this very seriously and a proposal and engagement is very serious. I didn’t come here to find a boyfriend. I can do that on a dating app." The wildlife manager, for his part, told Us that the pair planned to "hop around" and focus on traveling before settling down together. "We need to see each other’s lifestyles and our passions, our interests, and then try to see where our anchor spot will be, where all those things can kind of align and make sense for both of us," Moynes added at the time. "We’re going to jump around for a bit and experience what works best for us." |

While Tatum went on to date Jessie J on and off from October 2018 to April 2020, Dewan started seeing Steve Kazee and welcomed son Calum with her fiancé in 2020. Kravitz, for her part, married Karl Glusman in May 2019 after three years of dating. The High Fidelity alum and the Greyhound actor called it quits after less than two years of marriage in December 2020. Us Weekly confirmed in August 2021 that their divorce was finalized — the same month she was spotted getting cozy with Tatum. Earlier that summer, the X-Men: First Class actress opened up about Tatum being her first choice to star in her directorial debut, Pussy Island. "[He was the one] I thought of when I wrote this character," she told Deadline in June 2021. "I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he's a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter." Tatum added at the time, "When Zoë called me about this, I was shocked. … I'd watched her in movies, knew she produced High Fidelity and had seen that, but I didn't know she was creating on a level like this, where she wanted to direct. This came out of nowhere and the subject matter made me say, 'Wait, why are you thinking about me for this?' No one gives me a chance to play a role like this, everybody throws me down a different alley and expects me to do a certain thing. It was scary and liberating, just to be able to have a free conversation, where I was allowed to mess up, and say the wrong things." A source told Us in August 2021 that "things turned romantic fast" between the pair after "working together so closely." Peter Hermann Says Mariska Hargitay ‘Astonishes’ Him After ‘SVU’ Milestone Posted: 25 Oct 2021 02:15 PM PDT Mariska Hargitay should thank Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for more than decades on the air. The hit NBC drama also introduced her to husband Peter Hermann. The couple, who tied the knot in August 2004, began their lasting relationship after the Younger star made a guest appearance on the show during season 3 in 2002. Hermann continued his role as Trevor Langan to Hargitay's Olivia Benson throughout the series' run, popping in from time to time as their offscreen romance thrived. Two years after their wedding, the pair welcomed son August in June 2006. They kept expanding their family in 2011, adopting daughter Amaya and son Andrew within months of each other. While the actors remain private the majority of the time, Hargitay opened up to Us Weekly in June 2018 about balancing her professional success with motherhood. "It's hard. I'm not going to say it's easy, it's hard. I'm learning to [balance]. I try to be super present with where I am," she explained. "When I'm at work, I'm at work. When I'm with my kids, I'm with my kids." Still, the Emmy winner knows how to make it all work — with help from Hermann, of course. "There are days I go home and just cry. There have been days when I didn't see my kids. Those are the days I'm like, 'Maybe I'm done [filming Law & Order: SVU],'" she admitted. "But now, this is a gift of doing something for 20 years. We're such a well-oiled machine. I go in there and I'm like, 'Guys, I've got a kids thing. I'm out.' They're like, 'Got it, boom.'" Hargitay also knows the importance of alone time with the actor, whom she frequently jets away with on travels around the world. That was one of the most meaningful moments I’ve ever had in my life.” Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() Months after adding their second child to the family, Hargitay and Hermann adopted son Andrew. “It was one of those things that we were not expecting at all and my husband and I looked at each other and have never been more sure about anything,” she said during an April 2012 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Relationship Timeline Posted: 25 Oct 2021 02:08 PM PDT Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may not have started dating until 2012, but the pair have a rich history. “I met him I think in 2002 or 2003,” Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest during Keeping Up With the Kardashians 10th anniversary special, which aired in 2017. “He was recording a song with Brandy, and I was her friend. I vividly remember hanging out with him, and then they did a video together, so I'd see him a few times. He was asking his friends: ‘Who is this Kim Kardajan?’ He didn't know what my name was.” While both Kardashian and West dated different people throughout the '00s, they remained friends and even appeared onscreen together for the first time in 2008. The KKW Beauty creator shared throwback pics in 2015 from a pilot they filmed called Alligator Boots. “In honor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens being released today, I wanted to share these old pics of Kanye and me from years ago!” Kardashian wrote at the time. “We worked together on a pilot for a show called Alligator Boots back in 2008 and I played Princess Leia. We had met before this project (back in 2003), but I would say this is when we first really connected." Three years later, Kardashian married Kris Humphries in August 2011. After only 72 days of marriage, however, the reality TV personality announced she and the NBA pro were calling it quits. Kardashian later revealed that her divorce from Humphries helped her discover her feelings for West. "Right before I got married to Kris Humphries, [Kanye and I] were talking, and I just went a different direction,” she recalled on the aforementioned KUWTK anniversary special. "I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted. After my breakup, I was feeling really low and down and he said, ‘Just come to Paris and see my fashion show.’ He jokes that he put on this whole fashion show just to get a date with me. So I went there and I stayed with him, and that's where we started dating. I swear from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, ‘Oh, my God, why didn't I do this sooner?’ Like, this is what real life is like — love and fun and real support." After facing a challenging year in their relationship in 2020, Us confirmed in January 2021 that Kardashian is "done" with their marriage and that the longtime pair had "been living separate lives for many months now." A second source revealed that they "had a big fight" in December 2020 that caused the reality star to become "really upset" after the rapper "blew up" at her. Kardashian secured high-powered attorney Laura Wasser to aid in her divorce settlement before formally filing, a third insider told Us. Wasser "has been on retainer and actively working for Kim since last summer," the source said. The source added that Kardashian "wants the divorce settlement finalized" before she files against West. Love in the Fast Lane! Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard Get Cozy at US Grand Prix Posted: 25 Oct 2021 02:04 PM PDT Something just like this! Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have shown Us what true love is all about since they started dating in 2007. The A-listers — who share daughters Lincoln and Delta — got engaged in 2009 and tied the knot in 2013. They've been open with fans about their lighthearted, loving relationship and have spoken out about making their marriage work despite the challenges they may face. Shepard made headlines in December 2018 after Julie Andrews' granddaughter Kayti Edwards claimed that she had an affair with him in late 2009 while he was dating Bell. However, the Parenthood alum denied the rumors on Instagram shortly after. The following year, the pair celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary in October 2019 and continued to show their strength as a couple. "To get to wake up next to someone who has put hard work, respectful fights, patience, understanding and gratitude into your relationship is the definition of love," the Good Place alum wrote via Instagram in honor of the marriage milestone. "I will never remember the date of our anniversary @daxshepard, and I know you won't either. And that's just one more thing I love about us." The duo faced another hardship 11 months later when Shepard revealed that he had relapsed after 16 years of being sober. The Bless This Mess actor shared in October 2020 that he had fallen off the wagon a month prior after taking pain killers following a motorcycle accident. Despite the setback, the couple have remained committed to each other and Shepard's sober journey. "He was like, 'I don't want to risk this family, and I did, so let's put new things in place to make sure it doesn't happen again,'" the Frozen actress told Ellen DeGeneres at the time. It was more just explaining why we were taking, like, a nap in the afternoon while they were loose.” Kevin Mazur/WireImage ![]() Shepard spoke candidly about his marriage in December 2017. “We don’t believe in The One. We don’t believe in the fairytale. My only fear is that people see us and think, ‘Oh, I just need to find my Kristen Bell.’ That’s not true. You’ll find your Kristen Bell, but guess what? Now the work starts. And she said to me at one point, ‘Would you like a prenup?’ I said, ‘No, I don’t want a prenup,’ but I really wanted a prenup, really bad,” Shepard admitted on Conan in April 2018. “The joke is on her now because she’s become much more successful than me and has much more money than me!” Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images for Baby2Baby ![]() Bell is proud of Shepard for getting sober before they met. “We celebrate his sobriety birthday much, much, much bigger than his birthday,” she told Us in September 2018. “I’m happy he was born, but I’m incredibly excited about the fact that he’s alive. … He did 99.999 percent of the work himself, but I tried to fill in that little hole of what he needed.” Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Turner ![]() “We make an effort to cuddle and remain physical with each other," Bell told Us in September 2018 of saying close to her guy. “You find you’re often cuddling with your girls, but then you realize you haven’t touched your partner on the back of the neck or put your arm around him in a week. There is absolutely no strain — their marriage is strong.” Getty Images ![]() In March 2019, the Bless This Mess star revealed that he almost passed on the role of Crosby Braverman on Parenthood in order to make things work with his now-wife. “I chose her, which blew my mind,” the actor said on his podcast “Armchair Expert” at the time. “I got offered Parenthood — I hadn’t acted in a long time, no one was offering me anything — and they said, ‘This show shoots in Philadelphia,’ and I said, ‘There’s no way I can be in this relationship and move to Philadelphia.” The show eventually decided to change its filming location to Los Angeles, so Shepard’s sacrifice for love was rewarded! You're everything to me and more." Courtesy of Kristen Bell/Instagram ![]() The lovebirds celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary in October 2019, but according to Bell they didn’t even remember it until their family and friends pointed it out. “In truth, neither of us remember which day,” the Veronica Mars star revealed via Instagram on October 21. “That’s because we have been living the celebration of our commitment every moment since.” She added: “To get to wake up next to someone who has put hard work, respectful fights, patience, understanding and gratitude into your relationship is the definition of love. I will never remember the date of our anniversary @daxshepard, and i know you wont either. And thats just one more thing i love about us.” Courtesy of Kristen Bell/Instagram ![]() The Frozen 2 star reflected on the first time she met her husband during an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist in November 2019, and her recollection is priceless. “The only thing I remember is that he talks so much,” Bell said at the time. “I was like, ‘This guy can talk!’ I didn’t know who he was … There were no sparks whatsoever.” Two weeks after they met at a dinner for a mutual friend, Bell’s opinion about her now-husband began to change. Now she describes her husband as “bold,” adding, “he knows what he’s doing and that was my kind of person. My wife loves when I overtip people, so that's pretty much my strategy. So it's costly, but I think it's worth it.” Shutterstock ![]() Bell honored her husband’s 16th year sober in September 2020, writing via Instagram: "Thank you for dedicating your life to the hard and wonderful work of sobriety, so that we could share it with you." During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bell revealed that Shepard was “doing really great” after falling off the wagon and taking pain killers in September following a motorcycle accident. “The thing I love most about Dax is that he was able to tell me and tell us and say, ‘We need a different plan,’” the actress explained to Ellen DeGeneres. “Like, we have a plan. If he has to take medication for any reason, I have to administer it. But he was like, ‘So, we need a stronger plan. I was faltering, and I have to do some sort of emotional work to figure out why I wanted to use again.’” She explained that after he realized he’d gone too far, he rededicated himself to a sober life and to his family. “He was like, ‘I don’t want to risk this family, and I did, so let’s put new things in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again,’” the Frozen 2 actress said. “We’re going back to therapy. … And I will continue to stand by him because he’s very, very worth it.” Michael Rozman/Warner Bros. ![]() “Well, it's that time of year again. Courtesy of Dax Shepard/Instagram ![]() The Michigan native opened up about his relapse into pill addiction in December 2020, three months after falling off the wagon, crediting Bell as his saving grace. “I can’t imagine having to admit that to other people and feeling as safe as I did that you guys wouldn’t hate me. I hated me at that point and so, to be able to tell you guys and feel unconditionally loved and that I would be accepted was really special,” Shepard said during an episode of his “Armchair Expert” podcast, thanking Bell and his cohost, Monica Padman, for their support. “It saved my life.” Bell echoed her husband’s gratitude for Padman, who helped Shepard through his emotional revelation in September. “I would like to thank all parties involved because I am so appreciative of being able to go through every flavor of emotion with Monica and also to have you, the father of my children, be so able to be honest, even at your most shameful moments,” she said. “Nobody saved you but you and your courage and boldness to say, ‘I feel like I’m slipping’ or ‘I did slip and I need to be honest before it gets worse,’ and I’m just grateful to all parties involved. Tori Spelling Feels ‘Trapped’ in Dean McDermott Marriage Amid Divorce Rumors Posted: 25 Oct 2021 01:55 PM PDT Weathering the storm? Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's marriage has hit another bump in the road, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 48, who has been married to McDermott, 54, since May 2006, "wants a divorce, but she feels trapped right now," the insider says. The couple, who share five children — Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 9, Finn, 9, and Beau, 4 — recently had a "fight" after the Pretty Hard Cases actor "went missing" for two days following an argument, the source explains. When he returned, he allegedly said he would sue her for alimony and child support. The insider says the "90210MG" podcast cohost pointed out that McDermott signed a prenup before they got married, which means he won't get any money if they divorce. However, the source adds that Spelling recently learned that McDermott could still sue her for child support if they split. "She went ballistic" and is "pissed" at her attorneys, the insider tells Us.
The most recent fight left the Spelling It Like It Is author "very upset," especially since the duo "have tried counseling" from time to time. According to the insider, Spelling and McDermott "constantly fight and break up," but this argument was "really serious." While Spelling is "miserable" with her husband, she has remained in the marriage "for the kids," the source explains. The Scary Movie 2 actress "sucked it up" when she went to Disneyland with McDermott and their children on Thursday, October 21, because their kids "have no idea what's going on," the insider adds. Through all the duo's ups and downs, "money is an issue and it's always been an issue," the source tells Us, adding it's one of the reasons Spelling "feels trapped." The actress fueled divorce speculation earlier this month when she was photographed holding a notepad that read "assets," "support" and "custody" while standing outside an attorney's office on October 18. Earlier this year, the BH90210 alum revealed that she and McDermott were sleeping in different bedrooms, sending up another red flag for some fans. "Right now, my kids and dogs sleep in my bed," Spelling told Jeff Lewis in June, adding that her spouse was sleeping "in a room" at their house after returning home from filming a project overseas. "Since he left — this is not good, you guys — but since he left [and] he was gone for six months filming in another country, they all stayed with me," she continued. "So I currently still have four in the bedroom with me who have yet to go back to their rooms, yes." Two months later, the Uncharted TerriTORI author told Us that the kids were "transitioning back" to sleeping in their own beds, but the pair continued to make headlines after being spotted without their wedding bands on separate occasions. McDermott addressed his wife not wearing her ring during a September appearance on the "Feminine Warrior" podcast saying, "It's just weird that people need to know. Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?" As for why he was seen without his band, the Slasher alum explained that he took it off while playing a round of golf and lost it when it later fell out of his pocket on the course. "I lost my utility ring and then somebody saw that. 'He doesn't have his ring,'" he recalled. "So, now, everybody's in a titter, so I'm like, 'Forget it, I'm not going to replace it. Just let them think it.'" With reporting by Andrea Simpson |
'BiP' Is for Lovers! Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs’ Relationship Timeline Posted: 25 Oct 2021 01:47 PM PDT Third time’s a charm! Becca Kufrin found love with Thomas Jacobs after deciding to give romance on reality TV another shot. The former Bachelorette, who was previously engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Garrett Yrigoyen, returned to Bachelor Nation during season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered in August 2021. Despite being a little gun shy at the thought of falling in love on a reality show following two failed engagements, Kufrin arrived on the beach five days into filming. While it wasn't love at first sight, she eventually fell for Jacobs, who fans met during season 17 of The Bachelorette earlier that year. "We talked for maybe five minutes and at the end of the conversation he said something along the lines of … he called me a declined credit card," the Bourdon founder recalled during an October 2021 appearance on the "Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation" podcast of meeting Jacobs for the first time. "He was, like, trying to flirt and be kind of smooth and funny and it just came out wrong." The pair were able to overcome their awkward first encounter and form a strong relationship while filming in Mexico. After a brief breakup during the show's finale, the two made up off camera and started dating outside of the spotlight. "We came back [home] and had to explore that on our own away from the cameras but in that moment [on the beach during the finale], I think that was game-changing for me," Kufrin explained. "Because I have really never had somebody fight, I would say, like, tooth and nail to want to keep a relationship with me." The "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast cohost later revealed that she called her mom shortly after connecting with the California native and told her how hard she fell for Jacobs. "I was like, 'Mom, I think I want to marry this guy,'" she told listeners during her joint podcast interview in October 2021. "It's the first time I've ever actually said that out loud." Jacobs, for his part, said he has asked Kufrin in "multiple text messages" about the type of ring she would want when he proposes. "It's something we’ve talked about," he said at the time. "I mean, I don’t want to spend my life with anybody else." The lovebirds didn't give an exact date as to when they rekindled their romance after leaving Mexico, but both stars confirmed they were back on after the show's October 2021 finale aired. "I feel safe with you. As if nothing could ever go terribly wrong," the real estate broker wrote via Instagram. "Thank you for being someone who I can put my trust in, someone who would never hurt me, someone who would never push 'us' away." Scroll down to relive the Bachelor in Paradise alum's relationship highs and lows: ![]() Fans met Kufrin on season 22 of The Bachelor. During the season finale, Luyendyk Jr. proposed to the former public relations specialist, but later called off the engagement and moved on with runner-up Lauren Burnham. The race car driver married Burnham in 2019 and they have since welcomed daughter Alessi and twins Senna and Lux. Kufrin, for her part, became the Bachelorette on season 14, which premiered in May 2018. She got engaged to Yrigoyen during the finale but confirmed in September 2020 that they split. Broadimage/Shutterstock ![]() Jacobs joined Bachelor Nation during season 17 of The Bachelorette. He was painted as a villain by the men in the house and cut by Katie Thurston for allegedly being there for “the wrong reasons.” Kufrin, however, didn’t know much about the San Diego, California, resident before meeting him on Bachelor in Paradise. “I had only seen, I think, the first two episodes of Katie’s season — it was before things got really bad for him,” she explained during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “It was kind of like this weird mind [f—k] if you will because I was getting to know him for him on that beach and seeing how he interacted with everyone and seeing how everyone got along really well. And then when I would watch the show, I’d be like, ‘This isn't what I'm seeing, what's going on here?’ It was really, it was, like, this weird warp in my mind.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() The former college athlete popped up during the second episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, which premiered in August 2021, but filmed earlier in the summer. Kufrin made her Paradise debut one week later. Although Jacobs initially pursued Tammy Ly, sparks quickly flew between him and the Minnesota native. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() Despite having serious chemistry during BiP, Kufrin broke up with her love during the show’s finale, which aired in October. At the time, Kufrin told Jacobs that she had doubts about his sincerity. “I feel like you’re so good at being supportive and positive and surprising me in all of the best ways, but I feel like sometimes it’s too good to be true and that scares me,” she said. “I’ve been here twice now before, and I couldn’t leave here and feel OK about leaving with somebody that I don’t 100 percent fully know.” Jacobs tried to reassure her that he was all in, saying, “Everything inside of me screams that I’m falling in love with you,” to which Kufrin replied, “But I haven’t seen any of that.” After showing their breakup on TV, ABC announced that the twosome had since gotten back together. “They are happy and in love,” the title card read at the end of the episode. ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “We chatted until, like, three or four in the morning some nights and just talked about any and everything,” Kufrin said during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast of the couple’s off-camera reunion. “The second I saw him — because I flew back to L.A. and then drove down to San Diego — I think right away he picked me up and kissed me and then we just had unlimited time to explore what this could be.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “You know what they say … Third time’s a charm,” the B the Label designer captioned a video montage of her sweetest moments with Jacobs, confirming they are still dating after briefly calling it quits on the BiP finale. “I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy. Thanks for making my heart smile far more than it ever has. Now time to start this real life @thomasajacobs.” ABC/Craig Sjodin ![]() “Should I start following him on the gram yet or what?” Kufrin captioned a series of photos with her boyfriend at Blended Festival in San Diego, California, which they attended with fellow Bachelor Nation stars, including Blake Horstmann, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour. Jacobs also shared snaps from the festive weekend, captioning them, “Memories a lot clearer than these photos. Kind of. #LoveMyPeople.” Courtesy of Becca Kufrin/Instagram |
Has Kim Kardashian Passed the Bar Exam? What We Know Posted: 25 Oct 2021 01:39 PM PDT Kim Kardashian, esquire? The reality TV personality has been open about her journey to become a lawyer after registering with the California State Bar to study law in 2018. Kardashian spoke publicly about her plans for the first time in her April 2019 Vogue cover story, explaining she blocked out 18 hours of supervised study alongside lawyers Jessica Jackson and Erin Haney each week. "First year of law school you have to cover three subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts," she told the magazine. "To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep. Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me. The reading is what really gets me. It's so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds." At the time, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's goal was to take the bar in 2022. However, she has to pass the First-Year Law Students' Examination a.k.a. the "baby bar" before she can continue her education. During a May 2021 episode of her family's former reality show, she revealed she failed the baby bar after her first attempt in the summer of 2020. “If you are doing law school the way I’m doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program. And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This one’s actually harder, I hear, than the official bar," she said on the E! series at the time. Several weeks after her first try, Kardashian was signed up to try again. While studying in October 2020, she learned she tested positive for COVID-19. That didn't stop her from attempting to pass again, but she ultimately scored lower than the first time. Kardashian previously cited her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., as her inspiration for wanting to be a lawyer. "We talked about it for sure when I was in college, but I wasn't that serious," she told Wall Street Journal magazine in October 2021. "Hopefully one day I can start a law firm where we can help people pro bono and hire people who were formerly incarcerated. I don't see me floating on a yacht. I think I'll always feel good when I'm working." Scroll through for more on Kim's law journey: ![]() The Skims founder revealed that she secretly “registered with the California State Bar to study law” one year prior. “I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case,” she wrote via social media at the time. “One person actually said I should ‘stay in my lane.’ I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am. The state bar doesn’t care who you are. Everyone can take this route if you live in a state where this is allowed.” Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock ![]() Kim scored a 474 when she took the bar for the first time. 560 is a passing score. Everything Olivia Jade Has Said About Moving On From Admissions Scandal Posted: 25 Oct 2021 01:16 PM PDT Trying her best to move forward. In March 2019, Olivia Jade Giannulli and sister Bella Giannulli landed in the middle of the college admissions scandal when their parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, were arrested and accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to the University of Southern California in order for their daughters to get into the school as members of the crew team. After initially maintaining their innocence, the couple eventually pleaded guilty to fraud charges in May 2020. They served separate sentences in prison and paid a total of $400,000 in fines. In December 2020, Olivia Jade spoke out for the first time, joining Facebook’s Red Table Talk for an open conversation about what happened. "I feel like a huge part of having privilege is not knowing you have privilege, and so when it was happening, it didn’t feel wrong," the YouTube star shared during the special. "I also felt very misunderstood. The picture that has been painted of me, I feel like, is not who I am. I'm not this bratty girl that doesn’t want to change anything. Also, I understand why people are angry and understand why people say hurtful things and I would too if I wasn’t in my boat. … When you read it, you realize that there’s like some truth. I understood that people were upset and angry, and maybe it took me a little bit longer to understand what for, but man, am I glad I did realize.” Olivia Jade added that she took her “privilege and all my blessings for granted” and never thought twice. "We were talking about being in the public and being publicly shamed, and I was like, 'Well, my situation doesn't even compare, I'm not even going to start to compare it to yours,’" the YouTube star explained during a March 2021 TikTok video. "And she looked at me, and she said, 'Olivia, it doesn't matter if I'm drowning in 60 feet of water and you're drowning in 30, we're both still drowning.' I think about that quote every day because I think it's so true and it's such a bigger message to our world right now. I think we're all very quick to judge. I think we're all very quick to put people down." The influencer stepped even more into the spotlight when she joined season 30 of Dancing With the Stars in September 2021, and was ready to show the world an entirely different side of her. That month, the Full House alum also made headlines as GAC Family announced that she would be reprising her When Calls the Heart role in season 2 of When Hope Calls. While Bella has appeared on Dancing With the Stars to support her sister, Loughlin has not made an appearance. Scroll through the gallery below for everything Olivia Jade has said about moving on following the scandal: ![]() Olivia first spoke out on Red Table Talk in December 2020, explaining that she is not making an excuse for her part. "On paper, it’s bad — it’s really bad. But I think what a lot of people don’t know is my parents came from a place of just, ‘I love my kids I just want to help my kids — whatever is best for them — I worked my whole life to provide for my family.’ I think they thought it was normal," she said at the time. "There is no justifying or excusing what happened because what happened was wrong, and I think every single person in my family can be, like, ‘That was messed up. That was a big mistake.'" Facebook Watch ![]() During Red Table Talk, the beauty guru said she was "too embarrassed" to return to college after the scandal broke, adding, "I shouldn’t have been there in the first place, clearly." Facebook Watch ![]() During the Dancing With the Stars premiere in September 2021, she opened up about letting the public back in. “For the past few years, I guess you can say I’ve been wrapped up in a scandal. After everything happened, I did step back from social media and just soak in what everybody was saying," she said at the time, while chatting with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. "I’m not trying to pull a pity card, but I just need to move forward and do better. ... I just want to show people that I have a different side to me, I have a strong work ethic." "I’m so scared of looking at my name and something bad is happening and I’m the face of it and it's going to be this big thing that blows up in my face again," she explained on the October 25 episode. "You live your life a little bit differently in my opinion. You kind of start to believe what people are telling you, like, you don’t deserve a second chance, and there is no room for growth and you feel like, not to sound super dark, but how do you bounce back? I want to be alive, I still want to grow up." Courtesy of Olivia Jade Giannulli/Instagram ![]() "I would be crazy to not have learned anything from this situation of constant guilt and stress that I've given to myself and waken up every day for almost two years straight seeing something written about you," she explained during the episode, during which she was joined by psychologist Hillary Goldsher. "I'm not saying this to throw myself a little pity party. It's circumstantial and obviously, we really messed up. I don't want that to be taken out of context. Speaking as a human, with my own mental [health], it's so much harder for me to be forgiving of myself because I feel so unforgiven by what feels like the entire world to me. It's just [feels] like everybody hates me." Courtesy of Olivia Jade Giannulli/Instagram |
RHONJ's Melissa, Joe Gorga Make Predictions About Teresa's Wedding to Luis Posted: 25 Oct 2021 12:17 PM PDT Getting ready for the big day! Following Teresa Giudice's engagement to Luis Ruelas, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga are already predicting that the wedding will be one of a kind. “It’s going to be so Jersey and so fabulous!” Melissa, 42, exclusively told Us Weekly while at Mohegan Sun’s 25th Anniversary Celebration at TAO inside Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. During the joint interview, the “On Display” singer hinted that her sister-in-law, 49, will probably only have her daughters in her bridal party, but she’s still excited to witness the milestone event. “I didn’t go to the first one so at least I never attended one of her weddings before. This [will] be my first,” Melissa noted to Us. Us confirmed in November 2020 that the Standing Strong author was dating Ruelas, 47, and the twosome later revealed that they got together the previous July. Teresa was previously married to Joe Giudice for 20 years before they called it quits in December 2019. The exes share daughters Gia, 20, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 12. With this being the Celebrity Apprentice 5 alum’s second wedding, her brother, 42, and Melissa hinted that the ceremony will be a simple celebration of the engaged couple’s love for one another. “She’s been through enough. This is easy breezy,” Melissa added, noting that she isn’t sure whether it will be filmed for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Teresa originally announced that she got engaged earlier this month during a romantic getaway trip to Greece alongside her former RHONJ costar Dina Manzo and her husband, Dave Cantin. “My Fiancé you are such a beautiful person inside and out. I love everything about you especially your heart and the way you treat me and my daughters. You are amazing in so many ways one thing I admire about you is what a great Dad you are,” the cookbook author wrote on Saturday, October 23. “I am so lucky to have found you thank you for coming into my life. I know my parents sent you to me from that day I prayed to them on Bay Blvd. I adore you endlessly. You are the love of my life, my soulmate and my everything. I Love you ![]() Following the news, the Gorga Guide to Success author opened up about how excited he was to see his sister find The One. “He’s living up to everything he’s talking about, so I’m just so happy that they’re in love,” Joe told Us at the time. “She’s ecstatic. She loves him. She’s really, really happy. She always wanted to be loved, like, really loved, and he loves her.” Teresa’s costar Margaret Josephs, who was also in attendance at Mohegan Sun’s 25th Anniversary Celebration event, teased that she expected the wedding to be “filled with love.” “I think [the wedding] is going to happen soon. I mean the engagement, they’re together a year, they got engaged,” Josephs, 54, shared with Us. “I’m sure the wedding will not be far behind.” With reporting by Diana Cooper |
